The Nation of War
Pairings: Various Genshin Men x Isekai'd!Reader
Summary: Upon stepping foot in the Nation of War, Aether and Paimon offers to give you and the men a tour around the beautiful nation. However, during the exploration/tour of the nation, you all meet Aether and Paimon's friends from the Pyro Nation. One friend in particular captures your attention— and it is not human. Also, are you allowed to have... pets (?) at the abode?
Note: Since the little Tepetlisaur Whelp we meet in Genshin doesn't have a specific given name, I decided to name the Saurian "Dakarai" for this fic and any future fics he makes an appearance in. I named my Saurian companion because it's fitting, and I don't have the heart to change it to something else. If you're not a fan of the name I picked for this fic (and future fics if he makes an appearance), then feel free to change it! :> Anyway! I don't post anywhere else but on Tumblr (Genshinluvr), Ko-Fi (also Genshinluvr/Aaliah_exo), and AO3 (Aaliah_exo).
Warnings: None that I know of 🤔 Natlan characters are probably out of character. Zhongli and Neuvillette being jealous again (hehehe)
Word Count: 5.4k
“Remember to stick close to us so you won’t get lost. We’ve been to Natlan many times and would hate for you to get lost.” Paimon says, looping her arms around yours as you, Paimon, Aether, and the others enter the Nation of War.
Is Paimon referring to the time when you got lost in Fontaine and Wriothesley and Neuvillette were the ones who found you? If so, she didn’t need to call you out like that. Sometimes, your sense of direction is great! Other times… not so much, but not once has it gotten you killed!
You look at your surroundings in awe. Natlan is a beautiful nation— wait, is that a dinosaur? You snap your neck to look at the others, pointing at the tall creature with eyes the size of saucers. Aether chuckles and pats your head. “I had the same reaction when I first saw the long-necked rhino,” Aether says.
“Is there a reason why you brought us to Natlan? Not that I’m complaining, I’m rather curious.” Diluc says, crossing his arms over his chest as he takes a step closer to you in case a Fatui Agent decides to attack.
You rub the back of your neck before raising your hand. “It’s my idea to go to Natlan, actually.” After hearing countless stories about Natlan from Aether and Paimon, it makes you want to visit the nation. A nation that has roaming dragons— also known as Saurians, how can you not want to visit?
“What are we going to do in Natlan aside from exploring?” Gorou mutters, looking at his surroundings curiously, his ears twitching at the littlest unfamiliar sounds around him.
Aether and Paimon shrug while you continue to look at the wild Saurians with excitement. There are so many of them roaming around! And some of them have human companions by their sides! From a distance, a small roar pulls you out of your thoughts. You turn to see a small Rex Lapis-looking creature charging at your group at full speed.
Itto stretches his arm out in front of everyone, glaring at the approaching creature. “Don’t worry, everyone! I’ll protect us all from this tiny menace!” Itto announces.
In the blink of an eye, the creature burrows into the ground, disappearing from sight. Itto blinks and lets his arm fall at his side, confused about where the little creature has disappeared off to. The small creature hops from the ground, roaring almost cutely. It waddles towards Aether and Paimon, bouncing with excitement.
You cover your mouth, suppressing a squeal. “Who is this cutie?!” You coo.
Paimon props her hands on her hips and floats beside the adorable creature. “[Y/N], everyone else, meet Dakarai! He is our,” she gestures to her and Aether, “traveling companion! He’s a Tepetlisaur Whelp.”
Dakarai, the Tepetlisaur Whelp, looks at you curiously, tilting his head to the side. You quietly squeal, taking a few steps toward the Saurian and holding your hand out for him to sniff. Is that what you’re supposed to do when introducing yourself to a creature? Dakarai leans toward your hand, sniffing your hand while gazing at you curiously.
“You’re so cute, Dakarai,” you whisper, continuing to examine the adorable Tepetlisaur Whelp. “Can I bring you home with me?” You pet the adorable Saurian as he excitedly roars.
Your heart feels like it can burst at any second because of how cute Dakarai is. He’s half your size, so you don’t think you can sneak him back to the abode if you did try to bring him back. Are you even allowed to take Saurians out of Natlan? It’s not a crime, is it?
Thoma sighs, crossing his arms over his chest while shaking his head, pouting. “I can’t believe that I’m jealous of a Saurian,” Thoma mutters, chuckling to himself.
Ayato chuckles, watching you and Dakarai interact with each other. The Tepetlisaur Whelp examines you from head to toe curiously, shuffling from side to side to get a 360 view of you. You did the same, cooing over the littlest thing Dakarai does. You’re almost in tears over how cute the Tepetlisaur Welp is, holding back the urge to bring him into a crushing hug and take him back to the abode.
Ayato leans towards Thoma, not taking his eyes off you and Dakarai, whispering, “We should keep an eye on [Y/N] in case they try to Saurian-nap Dakarai.”
Thoma hums, nodding in agreement with the Kamisato Heir. Dakarai turns around, wiggling his tail, when you notice the orange-yellow handkerchief wrapped around it. Paimon and Aether tell you the backstory of the said handkerchief.
After explaining the backstory, the journey to the Stadium of the Sacred Flame continues. Of course, Dakarai tags along. Instead of being by Aether and Paimon’s side, Dakarai sticks by you while you continue to fight the urge to snatch him up.
Kaeya chuckles, shaking his head while he watches you pet the top of Dakarai’s head. “It looks like another dragon has captured [Y/N]’s heart,” Kaeya comments, glancing at Zhongli and Neuvillette from the corner of his eyes (eye?) with a teasing smile.
Zhongli and Neuvillette huff, looking away from Kaeya’s teasing gaze. Dakarai is adorable, yes, but is he powerful enough to protect you from harm's way? Probably, but Zhongli and Neuvillette digress! There’s a dark aura surrounding both Zhongli and Neuvillette as they watch you fawn over Dakarai. You stop in your tracks and snuggle the Tepetlisaur Whelp after getting approval from Dakarai. Dakarai is more than happy to be on the receiving end of your affection, wrapping his arms around your waist while you hug him tightly.
Thunder cracks in the distance as dark, ominous clouds roll in, replacing the once-sunny sky. Everyone freezes while Dakarai tilts his head, trying to process where the sound is coming from.
You slowly release the Tepetlisaur Whelp, looking at your beloved boyfriends worriedly. “I didn’t know it was going to rain today,” you say, propping your hands on your hips as you listen to thunder clapping in the distance.
Rain has yet to pour, thank the Archons, but you and everyone else still have a long way to go. You turn to Neuvillette, who has a stoic look on his face. You two make eye contact, and he quickly diverts his attention elsewhere. You frown and look at Zhongli, who shakes his head with disapproval before walking towards you.
Zhongli sighs, wrapping his arms around your shoulders. “No need to fret, dearest. I came prepared for situations like this,” Zhongli says, pulling out an umbrella.
Dakarai roars softly, staring at the umbrella curiously. Zhongli holds the umbrella towards Dakarai’s direction, watching the Tepetlisaur Whelp sniff and analyze the contraption. After sniffing and analyzing the contraption, Dakarai takes a step back and looks up at Zhongli. Zhongli smiles and presses his hand on Dakarai’s head, gently petting the creature. You squeal, pulling a Kamera out of your satchel, and quickly snap a photo of Zhongli and Dakarai together. Zhongli and Dakarai freeze when the light flashes, blinking at you.
Childe clears his throat, wraps his arms around your waist, and rests his chin on your shoulders. “Snookums~! I understand you love taking pictures of things that make you smile, but I think we should continue our journey to the Stadium of the Sacred Flame, or else we’ll get rained on,” Childe says, gesturing to the even darker sky.
Scaramouche rolls his eyes, muttering, “For once, I agree with this idiot.”
Childe ignores Scaramouche’s comment and proceeds to drag you towards the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. Everyone follows closely behind, and of course, Dakarai is by your side. Occasionally, you will bring your Kamera out to snap pictures of nearby Saurians from a safe distance. As much as you want to run up to one and snatch one up for yourself, seeing the fully grown Tepetlisaurs scares you, and you don’t want to be tossed around in front of your beloveds and the Tepetlisaur Whelps.
“Aether! Paimon! Is that you!?” A girl hollers from a distance.
Aether stops in his tracks and turns to see two girls and a boy barrelling toward him and your group. The two girls stop in front of Aether and Paimon, tackling them into a hug. Aether and Paimon greet the two girls while you and the other men awkwardly stand there.
An obnoxious voice interrupts the sweet reunion, “Aw, how sweet! A reunion between friends from afar! Barf!” You turn to see a small floating creature— what is he exactly?— approaching your group with a bluish-black-haired male following behind.
The man rolls his eyes, giving your group an almost sympathetic look. “Ignore Ajaw. This is how he usually is,” the man says, crossing his arms over his chest.
“Oh? I’m surprised you have this many friends, Aether. Is it hard to tolerate someone as annoying as him?” Ajaw asks, snickering.
Everyone stares at Ajaw, unsure of what to say. You, on the other hand, look at Ajaw from head to toe. For someone as small as him, he sure is bold. You’re not sure how the man beside the small creature tolerates that much annoyance. Noticing your stare, Ajaw flies towards you, floating really close to your face.
“Hey, you! You look interesting out of the bunch— or should I say, you look boring compared to the rest of the group! Ha! What makes you so special, huh?” Ajaw asks, flying around you like an annoying fly. “Everyone has a vision, minus yourself! Heh, I bet you’re not—”
“Alright, that’s enough, Ajaw,” the bluish-black-haired man interrupts the creature.
The creature— Ajaw, gapes at the man before sputtering incoherent nonsense, thrashing his tiny arms around. Without a single word, the man brushes Ajaw away, sending him into the air before disappearing. Everyone shields their eyes, searching for the flying menace, only to no avail.
The man sighs, shaking his head. “I apologize for Ajaw’s behavior. I would say that he wouldn’t do it next time, but…” he trails off, rolling his eyes.
Paimon clears her throat, nervously laughing. “Let me introduce you all to each other! This can take some time.”
Both Aether and Paimon take turns introducing each person to their friends from Natlan. Ajaw definitely doesn’t need an introduction, and thankfully, he’s not present throughout the entire introduction. The introduction itself doesn’t take as long as you thought it would. However, after the introduction, Ajaw did return, much to your dismay.
“We can show you around Natlan if you’d like! Although I’m not sure where you guys are headed to…” Mualani trails off, stroking her chin.
Venti shrugs his shoulders. “We’re okay with going anywhere! We initially plan on going straight to the Stadium of the Sacred Flame! But we’re open to going anywhere since Windblume has been taking a lot of pictures!” Venti says, throwing his arm over your shoulders.
Kachina’s eyes light up, excitedly running up to you. “Oooh! What did you take pictures of? Can I see?” Kachina enthusiastically asks, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
You smile and happily show the collection of images you took while exploring the Pyro Nation. Most of the pictures are of Saurians— Tepetlisaur Whelps, to be more specific. They’re just so cute that you couldn’t resist taking photos of them from a safe distance. One photo that stands out from the rest (your favorite photo) is a selfie of you and Dakarai.
Kinich looks up only to see you attempting to carry the Tepetlisaur Whelp. Dakarai squirms in your arms, looking around quizzically. You place Dakarai on the ground, panting. Archons, it’s like holding a mini boulder.
Mualani giggles and covers her mouth. “It looks like you’re incredibly fond of Tepetlisaurs! If you’d like, I can show you a spot where many of them are usually gathered,” Mualani offers, nudging you lightly with her elbow. “The skies have cleared up, so they should be around!”
Your eyes light up. “Ooh! Can you?” You squeal.
Mualani and Kachina giggle, grabbing hold of your wrist before dragging you in the opposite direction with the others watching. Xiao looks over at Zhongli and Neuvillette from the corner of his eyes; the two men look displeased. The once-gray skies have cleared up, but it looks like the rain clouds will be showing up in a moment.
The group follows you, Mualani, and Kachina to where the Tepetlisaur site is located. Once everyone arrives at the site, there’s a lot of Tepetlisaur and Tepetlisaur Whelps roaming the area, minding their business and not knowing what’s to come.
Mualani turns to you. “You can admire them from a distance! I don’t recommend getting close to them because they can and will attack you if you come any closer,” Mualani instructs.
You nod, pull your Kamera out, and start taking pictures of the Tepetlisaur and their Whelps. Neuvillette watches you take pictures of the Saurians, crossing his arms over his chest with a sigh. The light gray skies gradually become darker as time goes by. Wriothesley clears his throat, patting the Iudex’s shoulders.
“It’s alright, Monsieur Neuvillette. I’m sure [Y/N] doesn’t love the Tepetlisaurs as much as they love you,” Wriothesley reassures the Chief Justice of Fontaine.
Neuvillette ignores Wriothesley’s comment and continues to watch you fawn over the Saurians. Neuvillette glances at Zhongli, who seems content compared to himself. Zhongli looks at the sky, then at Neuvillette. The two of them stare at each other, communicating through body language.
You squat on the ground, taking various images of the Tepetlisaurs. While you’re distracted with capturing images of the adorable Saurians, you fail to notice one Tepetlisaur Whelp approach you from behind. The small creature tilts its head to the side, looking at you from head to toe with curiosity.
The Tepetlisaur Whelp lets out a small roar, startling you. You turn to see the Tepetlisaur Whelp gaze at you, waddling from side to side to get a better look at you. You’re not sure if you should be afraid or coo at the Whelp. The small roar of the Tepetlisaur Whelp catches the attention of other nearby Whelps. They slowly migrate towards you, making you a little anxious. It’s not that you’re afraid of them potentially attacking you, but you’re more worried about the adult Tepetlisaurs charging at you for being in the same vicinity as their babies.
Tighnari’s ears perk up with alertness, looking at the others worriedly. “Oh, dear. We need to get them out of there, or else they’ll become an easy target for the adult Tepetlisaurs,” Tighnari says.
“I think it’s a bit too late for that,” Cyno mutters, gesturing towards your direction.
Everyone’s heads snap in your direction only to see a hoard of Tepetlisaur Whelps surrounding you. Thankfully, none of the Whelps are attacking you or charging at you. They stare at you curiously, some roaring cutely and others shuffling around you. Dakarai waddles toward you, only for you to realize that Dakarai is a bit bigger than the other Whelps.
You squat, holding your hand out. The Tepetlisaur Whelps sniff your hand, blinking at you. One Tepetlisaur Whelp, in particular, nudges its head against your leg. You stare at the Saurian, wondering if it's trying to attack you. It didn’t seem hostile— or, at least to you, it seems harmless.
You randomly pick up one Tepetlisaur Whelp, holding it out in front of you. You and the Whelp stare at each other without saying a word. The Tepetlisaur Whelp blinks at you, tilting its head to the side curiously. You softly squeal, refraining from hugging the adorable Saurian. The Tepetlisaur Whelp tilts its head back and lets out a soft roar.
You turn to look at the others, nearly dropping the Saurian in your hands. Everyone has their weapons drawn, and you realize you have a shield around you— thanks to Zhongli. You place the Tepetlisaur Whelp back on the ground, unsure of what to do next. Do you continue taking pictures of the Tepetlisaur Whelps, or do you run for your life in case the adult Tepetlisaur charges toward you?
Kaveh clears his throat, cupping his hand around his mouth, shouting, “[Y/N], darling, slowly make your way towards us. Try not to draw attention to yourself!”
“Since you decided to become a megaphone, I highly doubt the Tepetlisaurs will be paying attention to [Y/N] after that,” Al Haitham comments, shaking his head.
You slowly walk toward your beloveds and new friends without looking back to see if the Whelps are watching you. Dear Archons above, you sure hope the adult Tepetlisaurs didn’t notice the swarm of Whelps around you. Who knows what will happen if the Whelp’s parents notice their babies being so close to a human?
Once you stand in front of your beloveds, Paimon, and new friends, you notice they’re not looking at you anymore. In fact, they’re looking behind you and at the ground. The shield around you disappears, and you feel something nudge at your legs. Just as you’re about to look down, Mualani launches at you.
“I don’t recommend looking down! While the Saurian is nudging at your legs, it’s completely harmless! However, our time is up! I want to show you another area that has two other types of Saurians! Have you ever heard of Koholasaurs and Yumkasaurs?” Mualani asks, looping her arms around yours as she quickly pulls you in the opposite direction.
You shake your head, allowing Mualani and Kachina to pull you wherever they desire. They both lead you to the top of the mountain, showing you the beautiful landscapes Natlan has to offer. While being able to view almost the entirety of Natlan is a wonderful opportunity, you can’t help but feel nauseous after seeing how high up you all are.
This new area is different from where you were prior. There’s a sizeable body of water where the Koholasaurs and Yumkasaurs are roaming around, living in harmony. There are a couple of Whelps scattered in some areas of the Teticpac Peak, though you hardly see any of the Koholasaur Whelps. The Koholasaurs remind you of sharks but with arms and legs and are oddly muscular.
“Are you sure it’s safe to be in this area?” Baizhu asks, pulling out his first aid kit just in case.
Kachina giggles and nods. “Of course it is, Doctor Baizhu! As long as we keep our distance and don’t come too close to the Whelps, we should be safe here!”
“That doesn’t sound as reassuring as you want to make it,” Heizou laughs nervously, rubbing the back of his neck.
Capitano sighs, shaking his head. “I’ll keep watch of [Y/N] as they take pictures of the landscape and creatures.” Capitano doesn’t leave room for protests as you nod, grabbing hold of Capitano’s hands and pulling him to an area where you can take pictures of the Saurians without disturbing them. Capitano stands close to you, scanning the surrounding area.
Kinich eyes Capitano before turning to look at everyone, who seems to also be on edge, while the other three look pretty content with the Harbinger being so close to you. Kinich sighs, eyeing the Harbinger from head to toe.
“You don’t have to worry over anything, boy. With Capitano around, [Y/N] is safe.” Pierro says gruffly.
Kinich analyzes each man in the group— every man has their eyes glued on you and nothing else. Of course, they will check the surroundings to make sure nothing is creeping up on you and Capitano (mainly you), but Kinich can’t put his fingers on it. Kinich clears his throat to grab the group’s attention but to no avail. These men are not taking their eyes off you at all, and seeing how they immediately drew their weapons when the Tepetlisaur Whelps surrounded you says so much without being blatantly obvious.
“What is [Y/N] to all of you?” Kinich asks, finally grabbing everyone’s attention.
Kazuha chuckles, crossing his arms over his chest. “[Y/N] is someone very precious to us all. We love and cherish them and will protect them at all costs,” says Kazuha, the apples of his cheeks turning bright pink.
Kinich raises his eyebrows at Kazuha’s answer. Kinich understands what Kazuha is implying, but he doesn’t want to make an assumption out of an innocent answer. But he is right, though, right?
Noticing the strange look on Kinich’s face, Dainsleif sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. “[Y/N] is our partner,” Dainsleif says, almost rolling his eyes.
Ajaw’s jaws drop at Dainsleif’s response, eyes nearly bugging out of his head. It’s almost comical to everyone. Mualani and Kachina glance at each other, shrugging their shoulders. Hey, if it works, it works. Who are they to judge?
Kinich strokes his chin. “How does that work? Aren’t there issues with sharing a partner?” Kinich mutters, raising his eyebrows at the men before him.
Albedo shakes his head in response to Kinich’s question. “We learn to make it work between us all. There are many things to learn and get used to, but it works. We all share something in common aside from our love for [Y/N],” Albedo explains, crossing his arms over his chest.
“What’s so appealing about someone so… bland? There’s nothing special about them at all!” Ajaw snarks.
Pantalone chuckles, smiling at Ajaw. If people look closely, there’s a dark aura surrounding Pantalone as he tries to remain calm and polite. How much longer can he keep up his facade with a little shithead like Ajaw around? The little floating menace to society constantly insulting you just for existing has been getting on everyone’s nerves since the meeting.
“I would keep my comments to myself if I were you, Ajaw. You disrespecting someone important to us will get you nowhere,” Pantalone says, clenching his jaws.
Ajaw bursts out laughing, relishing the fact that he manages to get on every person’s nerves. All he has to do is insult you and question these men’s choices. Kinich sighs and apologizes to the men for Ajaw’s behavior before temporarily banishing Ajaw.
“If you cannot keep your companion’s mouth shut, I think it’s best for you to keep your distance from [Y/N]. We wouldn’t want someone like Ajaw near them,” Xiao states, crossing his arms over his chest while staring at Kinich with disapproval.
The tension is cut by the sound of you gasping. Everyone’s heads snap in your direction to see you and Capitano surrounded by Koholasaur and Yumkasaur Whelps. You look at the others with wide eyes; they can’t tell whether it’s from fear or excitement. You mouth something to them, but they can’t decipher what you’re trying to communicate.
“Can someone tell me if I’m hallucinating? Those creatures behind [Y/N] are Tepetlisaur Whelps, correct?” Lyney asks, turning to the men.
Dottore turns to Mualani and Kachina, raising his eyebrows at the two girls. “I thought Tepetlisaurs aren’t in this particular area,” He says, crossing his arms over his chest.
You and Capitano are surrounded by Tepetlisaur, Koholasaur, and Yumakasaur Whelps— though the Tepetlisaur Whelps outnumbers the other Saurians. The Tepetlisaur Whelps roars around you, waddling and gazing at you curiously. So far, none of them have yet to attack you and Capitano. If they were to try to attack, you know Capitano would not spare any of the Whelps, no matter how cute they are.
Paimon strokes her chin, scrutinizing the Tepetlisaur Whelps. “That’s odd. If this area doesn’t have Tepetlisaurs around, then how did these little guys end up on the Teticpac Peak?” Paimon exclaims, propping her hands on her hips as she bobs up and down in the air.
Capitano looks down at you after feeling you lightly poke his arm. “Yes, what is it, [Y/N]?”
You clear your throat. “You’re not going to attack the Whelps, are you? They’re little babies, and I don’t think they can cause that much bodily harm, right?”
Capitano sighs. “I will not harm them, [Y/N]. However, if they inflict harm on you, I have no other choice but to protect and defend you from any harm heading your way,” Capitano replies.
While you want to protest against hurting the Whelps, you can’t help but feel giddy over the fact that Capitano is devoted to protecting you. Heat rushes to your cheeks as you look away from Capitano, feeling his eyes burn holes into the back of your head. Dakarai roars softly, tugging on your pants while looking up at you with curiosity. Now that you have Dakarai beside you, you realize that he’s a little bit bigger than the other Tepetlisaur Whelps.
Dakarai roars again, almost like he’s asking you if you’re okay. You smile and squat in front of him, gently petting his head. Dakarai nuzzles into your hands, closing his eyes with contentment.
“I’m alright, Dakarai. There’s no need to worry about me, little fella.” You reassure the Tepetlisaur Whelp.
Dakarai roars softly, flapping his arms around. The other Saurian Whelps around you watch the interaction between you and Dakarai curiously. To them, it’s strange to see a species like them interact with a human— one they are not companions with— so effortlessly. A human such as yourself interacting with an overgrown Tepetlisaur Whelp is foreign to them. Usually, a human with no vision or Saurian companions steer clear.
A much smaller Tepetlisaur Whelp waddles up to you and stands beside Dakarai, softly roaring to get your attention. The Whelp tilts its head at you, blinking. You and Dakarai trade looks with each other before you slowly reach forward to pet the Tepetlisaur Whelp. The Saurian closes its eyes and leans into your touch. You lightly scratch behind the ears, watching it start kicking its feet— almost like you found the perfect spot to itch. You hold back a squeal, watching the feet kick become faster before it tips over and stumbles into your arms.
Zhongli hums, stroking his chin. “The Tepetlisaur Whelps must have followed us to the Teticpac Peak by burrowing under the ground the entire way here from the previous location,” Zhongli murmurs, watching you interact with the Whelps that surround you and Capitano.
Kachina giggles, clapping her hands. “That’s correct, Mister Zhongli! And given by the body language and expressions of the Whelps, they seem to really like [Y/N]!” Kachina squeals, grinning from ear to ear.
The Whelps that surrounds you and Capitano ignores the towering figure of the Harbinger. Their focus is on you, staring at you expectantly. You make sure to give each Saurian Whelps attention, not wanting any of them to feel left out. The Yumkasaur Whelp purrs as you pet its head, rubbing its body against your arms, reminding you of kittens. Kittens do that, and so do dogs. As for Yumkasaur Whelps, they remind you of kittens with their mannerisms. They hiss when they see something unfamiliar or try to intimidate something they deem a threat to their safety.
While most are hesitant to be around you (who can blame them?), their worries are quelled when you respect their space after one of them hissed at you. Capitano isn’t too pleased that you’re friendly with the Whelps, but hey, as long as they don’t hurt you, he will tolerate the (admittedly) cute interaction between you and the Whelps.
“Do you guys have any pets by any chance?” Mualani asks, not taking her eyes off you.
Aether shakes his head. “We don’t, but we do have a Paimon,” Aether replies, gesturing to the floating girl beside him.
Paimon gasps and exclaims, “Hey!” She stomps her feet in midair, glaring at her blond companion, “Paimon is not a pet!”
“That’s why he said ‘a Paimon,’” Venti interjects, chuckling at the fuming girl.
Rapid footsteps approach the group, grabbing their attention. You stand before them with one Tepetlisaur Whelp dangling from one arm and a Yumkasaur Whelp on the other, smiling at them eagerly. The Koholasaur Whelp is draping around your neck, resting on your shoulders while gazing at familiar faces with curiosity.
You hold up the Whelps, gazing at your beloveds with sparkles in your eyes. “Can we keep them?”
“Absolutely not,” Neuvillette immediately shoots down your question. Neuvillette stares down at the Whelps in your arms (and around your shoulders), a dark aura surrounding him.
The once blue skies in the Teticpac Peak gradually turn into an ominous dark gray, thunder cracking in the distance. Mualani, Kachina, and Kinich rub the back of their necks as they watch the scene in silence. You pout and hold them close to your face, giving Neuvillette and the other men puppy dog eyes.
Wriothesley chuckles, rubbing your head affectionately. “I don’t know about that, dollface. Do we have the space for Saurians to roam in the abode?” Wriothesley asks, propping his hands on his hips and raising his eyebrows at you.
“But they’re so cute!! Look at their little faces!” You coo, snuggling up against the Saurian Whelps. “How can you say no to them?” You pout.
Childe hums, stroking his chin. While the Saurian Whelps are adorable, letting them reside in the abode isn’t the best idea. It’s not like Childe doesn’t want to deal with dragons— he already has to deal with Zhongli and Neuvillette. What’s the difference?— he doesn’t want those little scaled creatures to steal your attention away from him!
“They are adorable, but…” Childe trails off, reaching forward to pet your head. “If we let them live with us, the other two dragons will become jealous and territorial.” Childe gestures to both Zhongli and Neuvillette behind him.
“If Zhongli represents Tepetlisaurs and Neuvillette represents Koholasaurs, then who represents the Yumkasaurs?” Lyney asks, scanning the crowd of men around him while stroking his chin and tapping his right foot on the ground.
Cyno points at Tighnari. “I believe Tighnari is the perfect representation of Yumkasaurs if you ask me.”
Tighnari sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose. Tighnari’s not one to play into this shenanigan, but he can see it. Mualani clears her throat, gesturing to Kinich without making it obvious (she failed; Kinich notices her gestures almost immediately). Kinich rolls his eyes, shaking his head. Kinich’s not sure if he wants to get involved after seeing how overprotective these men can become when it comes to you. Besides, he doesn’t see you in the same light as the other.
“A dragon would never explode, but a dino might…” Cyno mutters, pressing his lips into a thin line to suppress the shit-eating grin slowly appearing on his face.
Tighnari groans, shaking his head. “Cyno, please, let’s not joke about this right now,” Tighnari pleads.
You look at Zhongli and Neuvillette, giving them puppy dog eyes as you continue to get the Whelps cling to you. Zhongli and Neuvillette scrutinize the creatures surrounding you, their arms crossing over their chests— their chests puffing out, almost to assert dominance over the Saurians.
“Dearest, as much as I hate to decline your requests, I believe it is not a good idea to take Saurians outside of Natlan,” Zhongli says, hesitantly reaching forward to pet the Tepetlisaur Whelp in your arms.
Your eyes water for a dramatic effect, forcing your bottom lips to quiver. “But Zhongli, look how cute they are! They even followed us here!” You’re not hurt or offended over the fact that you’re not allowed to bring Saurians back to the abode. You’re only sad because the Whelps are incredibly adorable, and you can’t bring them back because they’re wild creatures, and you can’t have them as a companion.
Neuvillette huffs, looking away. “You have us. Why would you need another draconic companion?” Neuvillette mutters.
Dakarai roars, almost agreeing with Neuvillette. You place the Whelps on the ground, making sure to pet Dakarai’s head before turning to Neuvillette and Zhongli— both visibly pouting. You grab both their hands and gently squeeze their hands, giving them a reassuring smile.
“I’ve never seen them this pouty before,” Thoma mutters to Xiao.
Xiao rolls his eyes, shaking his head. “You should see those three alone. It’s almost pathetic.”
Neuvillette and Zhongli glare at Xiao and Thoma, shutting the two up. Zhongli and Neuvillette proceed to drag you away, with Dakarai and the rest of the men trailing after you three. So much for getting a tour around the Nation of War. Maybe next time, the tour won’t be interrupted by Saurian Whelps crowning you as their leader (and you trying to bribe the men to let you bring Saurians to the abode).
Note: Before I typed this fanfic out, I was planning on having the reader be the creator, but I ended up changing my mind. For those who have been asking me in the inbox about Kinich being part of the harem, here is your somewhat answer! He made an appearance! However, I'm not too sure if I'll add him to the harem. As long as he's an adult, then yes, there's a chance he will be added to the harem. The only issue is my portrayal of Ajaw because I don't have Kinich, so there's a possibility of him and Ajaw being out of character. Anywho! To all my new and returning readers, keep in mind that I ONLY post on my Tumblr (Genshinluvr), Ko-Fi (Genshinluvr/Aaliah_exo), and my AO3 (Aaliah_exo)! Nowhere else except Tumblr and AO3!
I'm doing taglists again! If you don't want to be on the taglist, please let me know so I can remove you from the list :) Taglist: @chirikoheina, @yoru-trash, @kaoyamamegami, @deartoru, @luminarymoonlight, @toobytub, @ins4nebish, @exhaustedcommunist, @jadedist, @rubyninja1, @thelost-in-time, @ventisweetheart, @hispasian-otaku, @juuuuuj101010, @samarill, @lunarapple, @emilymikado, @mabie, @vinnie-w, @n8mareee, @heyimkay, @eliciana, @blesstosuisen, @goldeneclipsedragon, @jjvr4yxc, @vox34, @skyyyyackerman, @undecidingfate, @nightlysunn, @faeryminnyx, @simpcreator, @thelovebuggs, @urlocalheizousimp, @sunlightstarr
Read more of my works on my Masterlist / Masterlist 2 | Maybe support me by tipping me on Ko-Fi or by reblogging my fanfics! ^^ I will also be posting exclusive fanfics on Ko-Fi as well very soon! I might post all of my stories on there too, but who knows. You can also tip me on Tumblr if you'd like as a way to show support! ^^

I'm still busy thinking about that comment that said that Vivzie said season 3 would have a focus on 'family and addiction', and now that I think about it, the show really does appear to be heading that direction. (Again, I do not have the clip to confirm this claim at this moment in time.)
As for family, let's start with Stolas and Octavia, we know that their conflict is far from being over at this point in the show for a few reasons, but the biggest one is the fact that Blitz makes it especially clear in the last few moments of the episode, with the lines 'You just gotta give her time.' and 'You just gotta keep trying.', so we definitely have more plotlines involving these two in season 3 (and Andrealphus + Stella).
Tumblr media
Wherever the show decides to go in regards in Millie's pregnancy and the fact that Sallie May knows about said pregnancy, and I also imagine it's likely that the rest of Millie's family is also going to find out about Millie's pregnancy at some point during season 3 as well, so Millie's family is likely going to make more appearances during season 3 as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Blitz mentions Barbie Wire towards the end of the episode as well, in which I can only imagine that it's foreshadowing more Blitz and Barbie Wire interactions, and potentially some sort of resolution to their conflict at some point during season 3 as well.
Tumblr media
Something else that the show makes quite clear is just how much the circus fire + Blitz's upbringing with an abusive parent still deeply effects Blitz to this day, (and quite frankly, the events of that fateful day will probably still continue to effect Blitz, forever.) so we're probably going to see more regarding that and potentially some more flashbacks to the pre-circus fire days, especially in regards to Blitz's mother and Blitz's abusive father, even more so if Blitz is referring to said circus fire with the line 'for something that I did.'
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Considering how s2 e3 and s2 e6 went for Crimson, I imagine he's going to be plot relevant next season as well, which likely opens the gates for more flashbacks and such regarding Moxxie's upbringing in the mob family, potentially showing us more scenes of Moxxie's mother as well, who, as I've said before, was likely murdered by Crimson when Moxxie was very young.
Tumblr media
I have no idea if they'll make an appearance next season, but I do still find it interesting that Stolas' mother just appears to be non-existent, so I do wonder if they have a plotline involving her, or if they have plotlines related to Stolas and Paimon at some point during season 3 as well, although probably not tbh.
Tumblr media
Of course, I can't finish off this section without mentioning I.M.P, and all the people within it, which is it's own found family at this point tbh.
Tumblr media
And this scene as well, we absolutely cannot forget the Stolitz domestic family moment that we saw in Sinsmas, aka, the scene where we see some of Blitz's hopes and dreams.
Tumblr media
As for addiction, we have Stolas' alcoholism, which alongside being something that the show has pointed out in some form time and time again, Bryce has mentioned at a panel or whatever that it is something that Stolas struggles with, so I imagine it's probably going to get a mention in season 3 at some point.
Tumblr media
Stolas and smoking might be something that comes up at some point, but I kinda doubt that considering that we've only seen Stolas smoke once before, all the way back in s1 e5, but for now I do think it's something worth keeping an eye on.
Tumblr media
The fact that Verosika also appears to be an alcoholic, it got mentioned once in s1 e3 that she went to rehab, but got out early because she was famous, while still very clearly being an alcoholic, so I wonder if that's going to get a mention at some point during season 3.
Tumblr media
And finally, Blitz makes a comment about the fact that Barbie Wire used to be on some sort of drug named H-8, which she went to rehab for at some point considering Verosika's earlier statement, so I wouldn't be surprised if this detail gets brought up again tbh.
Tumblr media
So yea, considering that alleged statement from Vivziepop saying that season 3 is going to have a focus on 'family and addiction', I can already see quite a few potential plot points the show has potentially been setting up for that's relevant to either the themes of family or addiction. (Obviously there's also other ones that's going to relevant as well like Blitz and Loona, but I just want to focus more so on the plot points that the show appears to be directly setting up for season 3.)

Suspicions, Scones, and Scandals.
diluc x GN!reader
#: synopsis- How the year long secret between you and Diluc is revealed, turns out the greatest bachelor of Mondstadt isn't a bachelor?!
#: cw- 3.4k words, they/you pronouns. Use of Mx, Traveler is left up to interpretation (Aether or Lumine), Kaeya, Venti, Paimon also mentioned, secret relationship, established relationship, Diluc loves like it's the only thing he knows how to do, fluff, Diluc is in mourning (you went to fontaine) no s/o = no life, Donna mentioned for a sentence and lowkey can't decide which one of you to be jealous of, no beta we die like Crepus.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Diluc polished the glass he held in his hand. It was quiet, beautifully so. The loud chatter of drunkards during the usual weekdays were now replaced with the delicate silence of his environment.
Diluc could see his own reflection in the wine glass, it glinted with the casual lighting of Angel's Share.
Before he heard the door creaking open, he saw the peaks of blue. Who else could it be other than Kaeya.
He waltzed through the door, the corner of his mouth tilting upwards when he saw Diluc.
Diluc turned to face his brother, clenching his jaw in preparation for the relentless teasing he's recieved for the past few days.
Diluc made the fatal mistake of glancing over in your direction when you were talking to someone.
Kaeya picked up on this immediately. Like a sponge he soaked every single interaction between the two of you to compile into a theory of Diluc's clear infatuation over you.
As much as Diluc wished Kaeya would stop sending him playful glances each time your name was brought up, he couldn't deny some of his words held a hint of truth to them.
Although he wouldn't say ‘his eyes had their own heartbeat’ whenever he glanced at you. whatever that meant.
“Ah, Diluc! Pleasure to see you here.” Kaeya greeted. Flashing him a small grin as he sat down on the stools in front of the bar.
“I wish I could say the same to you.”
Kaeya only laughed in a placating manner.
“Brother, is that any way to treat your future best man?”
Diluc deadpanned at Kaeya's audacious words.
“What do you want?” He sighed as he threw the rag over his shoulder.
“Aside from good wine, a fine chat would do.”
Diluc swiveled around after he got Kaeya's order.
“I'm not your in house entertainment,” he spoke. “If you wanted entertainment you should've come during the weekend.”
Diluc huffed and placed the empty glass in front of Kaeya.
“Better yet, go elsewhere.”
Kaeya shrugged, “Of course Master Diluc, I'll keep that in mind for the future.”
Diluc continued to prepare Kaeya's drink. The sooner he left, the better. He didn't need to hear his incessant teasing.
If he glanced back, he might've seen Kaeya's gaze locked onto his gloves.
Kaeya carefully investigated the lumps of fabric. Was it just the light playing tricks on him, or did that seem like the outline of a ring?
Soon the tavern door opened again, and Diluc resists the urge to sigh.
Yes this is his job, but that doesn't mean he has to enjoy all parts of it.
Diluc sets Kaeya's drink in front of him, his gaze raised ever so slightly.
Then it locks on yours. You look like how he expects you to. You bring him a warmth him pyro vision could never mimic.
Then he remembered who else was in the room with him. He gave you a curt nod, trying to indicate something to you.
“Suddenly the atmosphere feels a lot colder.” Kaeya said.
You cleared your throat, a small black box in your hand. Wrapped in a gorgeous red velvet colored flat of fabric. You fiddled absent-mindedly with the ribbon.
“Sorry Kaeya, I was just a bit distracted.”
He smiled as he turned to the side, giving him a better view of both Diluc and you.
Diluc adjusted his tie, and brushed his hair back. Something he clearly didn't think much of. (Unlike the man that stared at him as he did so.)
He huffed amused. ”Don't worry about it Mx. [Name], at least with your company I won't have to worry about someone brooding anymore.”
Diluc shot Kaeya a glare from the corner of his eye.
‘Don't say anything you'll regret.’
Kaeya only smirked.
‘I rarely regret a thing I've said.’
You cleared your throat at the poorly disguised tension in the room. Snapping Diluc out of his in-between conversation with Kaeya.
“Good evening.” You greeted the both of them.
You walked over to one of the wooden stools. It was solid, carefully made so that even with the hours of use it acquired over its long carrier of chairness you couldn't find a single trace of weathering or possible splinters.
“So what brings you here? I didn't take you for a drinker.” Kaeya hums, taking a small sip of his wine.
You shake your head, “I'm not here to have a drink, dealing with a hangover tomorrow would be horrible.” You shivered.
“Do you not handle your alcohol well?”
“Kaeya.” Diluc scolds.
“What? I'm making conversation.”
“Don't make me kick you out.”
Kaeya sighed, curling his bottom lip into a pout in an exaggerated fashion.
“I haven't even finished my drink yet, surely you'd let me enjoy this first.”
You smiled at the interaction.
And just for a second Diluc's eyes met yours. You were looking at him so.. openly? He couldn't decipher that stare of yours. He could feel the slight amusement in your stare.
You were such a force of confusion in his life, but with you he didn't need much reason. His ears tilted red with each second longer your eyes met together.
You took pity on him, breaking eye contact first. “I'm not a lightweight, I just tend to go overboard.”
Kaeya chuckles at the clarification. “Aha I see.”
You placed the box onto the counter, the sound amplified by the silence that shrouded the room.
Diluc leaned over the counter of the bar, he used his elbow as a prop for his head. He blinked at the foreign object. A slight intrigue made him want to open it.
But… three's a crowd.
Clearly that sentiment slid out of his brain, bouncing around the room before it pointedly made its way to Kaeya.
He paused before sighing. “As much as I would love to indulge in these tendencies I do have some work to get back to.” Kaeya placed the mora he owed onto the table, before taking out a flash attached at his hip and pouring the rest of the wine down it.
“Ah, already?” You murmured.
“Unfortunately so.” He nods, “Very well then, see you both soon.”
You both bid him goodbye, and he sent a wink(you think??) in Diluc's direction.
As soon as you both hear the click of the door the atmosphere concentrates around the two people in the room. Both of you relax, a breath of shared comfort between the two of you.
You nudge the box closer to Diluc, his red hair falling against his face slightly as he tilts his head in your direction.
Archons you really need to know how he keeps it so well maintained..?
“This is?” He picks the box up in his hands, it feels miniscule in his palm.
“For you.” You said simply.
He blinked, “What's the occasion?”
You shook your head, “It reminded me of you.”
He hesitated. A gift from you wasn't a rarity, yet it still felt odd each time he recieved one just… because?
He opened the box, it was two things. A hairpin. It was a solid metal, the imagery of a flower with its petals dyed red. Golden accents adorned the sides. It shimmered in regality with the dimmed lighting of the tavern glinting against the metal.
The next piece was made in similar fashion. The silhouette mimicked the frame of the hairpin but in a much more minimalistic fashion. It was a gorgeous deep red, a notable tie clasp.
“These.. are beautiful, [Name].” He said.
You agreed, “So, you're calling yourself beautiful?”
“...”
Before he could sigh from exasperation he saw the teasing glint in your eyes. “If that's what you see me as, I can't help but not trust your judgement.” He leaned further into you, a small smirk playing against his lips.
You felt your face warm up, for a guy that was so content with shrouding himself in intrigue and mystery, his eyes betrayed that reputation.
They were so clear, if you looked directly into them you might've seen the mini Diluc’s running around scrambling to formulate his thought process.
The ombre of red and orange harmonized into a blazing ichor that threatened to swallow you whole.
He looked back at you, and you swore his eyes burned through your soul. His features were so tightly knit in comparison to his wide red eyes.
“You're not being fair right now.. stop looking at me like that.” You huffed.
“Don't you spend your time searching for the beauties of this world? Don't tell me you've given up on that goal already.”
This guy… he could be cunning when he wanted to.
You didn't allow yourself to falter, seeing this as a battle risking life or death. There was no way you weren't going to win this battle of flustering the other. (Diluc didn't even know what the hell you were thinking.)
You used your sword, otherwise known as your hand to stab his heart.(read: grab his tie.) You pulled it ever so slightly closer to you. Ignoring how
You huff, leaning over the counter to grab him by his tie. He jolted at the sudden action, his torso angled over the bar, his hands moved closer to his waist, holding onto the edge of the wooden panel to steady himself.
Your fingers make their way closer to his neck, never straying from the fabric of his tie. He swallowed thickly as he watched you concentrate on fixing it.
As much as he doubts there was nothing wrong with the way he tied it, he.. appreciates the way you look up at him, just for a split second.
“Of course I haven't.” You said.
Diluc saw your lips move before he could hear you. He snapped out of his daze, the proximity between the two of you reduced to the length of a ring finger.
 “I haven’t taken a picture of you.”
Diluc pulled away, noticing how you already clipped the pin onto his tie.
You bit the inside of your cheek to prevent the chuckles of amusement from slipping out. He had turned away from you, it was a desperate attempt to hide his reddened skin.
More than ever is he glad you two are the only ones in the tavern.
You see him rub his face, the traces of red starting to dissipate from his neck and ears. You can't help but smile. You can't tell you're smiling because of his reaction, or the fact he's allowing you to see him like this.
“[Name]..” He turns back to you, his lips pursed together.
“Diluc” You responded, taking in his full appearance.
The gentle slopes of his face, the harsh curves of his jaw and nose. They all worked together in a polyphony to create the the person you admire so dearly.
“Ah, that reminds me. Unfortunately I have a business trip to attend in a fortnight.” You broke the silence of the room.
He lowered his head to meet your gaze.
“Should I bring anything back for you? A gift.. a recipe.. I'm sure I could learn to cook something for you.” You offered. Diluc's face paled.
The thought of you cooking something for him used to be a pleasant fantasy. But seeing it in practice turned any thought of you stepping into the kitchen into a nightmare.
You might as well have had a pyro vision the way the stove went up in flames.
“I… appreciate the sentiment.” He grimaced. “If anything, I wish you to return to me safely.”
You smiled back at him, bemusement tracing the corners of your mouth.
“Of course. I'll make sure to have a good time as well!”
He hummed. “Don't slack off.”
“I won't I swear–!” You exclaim, jabbing your finger in his face.
You both continue to talk, in a way only the two of you know of each other. Barriers and walls broken to build a bridge between the two of you.
These words are a well kept secret between the two of you, at least for now.
You leave the tavern when more people begin to filter in as the sun sets.
Tumblr media
Time truly didn't stop for anyone. It wasn't long before Diluc had to bid you goodbyes. Time failed to capture the moments he spent with you leading up to that.
A month had already passed since you left, his favorite place to be during that time was at the dawn winery. Letters you wrote came to him every other day.
You were safe, and it sounded like you were enjoying the time you spent in fontaine. He no longer had to relive the first week of sleepless nights worrying about your well being.
He was in the dawn winery again, a newer letter in his hands. Diluc traced the wax seal, one he specially commissioned for you.
He began to peel it off, a twinge of eagerness coated his fingers in a newfound fervor.
Just before he could read your letter, he heard a familiar high pitched voice.
“Master Diluc would totally help us!”
Was that..?
“The traveler maybe, but you and I are on the same level!”
He looked up to see the traveler and their floating companion, along with venti matching their pace.
From the corner of the doorway he could just barely make out Adelinde's sheepish expression.
“Traveller, it's good to see you here.” Diluc greeted, resisting the urge to sigh at the interruption.
He subtly slipped the envelope on the dining table behind him.
“Hey! How come Paimon doesn't get a hello?” She huffed, her hands balled into fists at her sides.
“Hello Paimon. Venti.”
“Told you.” Venti shook his head, ignoring Paimon's pointed glare.
Traveler quickly spoke up before Paimon could get provoked, “We have something to give you.” They handed an envelope to Diluc.
He quirked a brow as he looked it over, undoubtedly from you.
Diluc hasn't been keeping tabs on The Traveler's journey, but something must have led them into Fontaine..
He let himself open it— the wax lifted under the nail of his finger.
Eagerness. Anticipation. You're right by his side– he swears. You play with his senses to a degree he cannot fathom. As he stares at the photocard of a few scones, he imagines he's sat across from you.
He could practically hear your indecisive ramblings about what to get. ‘The beignets sound tasty– oh but what about the blueberry scones? I'm not feeling for blueberries though..”
“Can't believe the traveler's been demoted from honorary knight to delivery service!”
For a second you coat him in a warmth– so entirely reminiscent of you. Diluc grieves the nights devoid of you.
“It's a noble job Paimon, I'm pretty sure you've made Diluc's week!”
Even before he saw your name signed at the back, he knew it was from you. He covered his mouth. He could recognize you in fields towered higher than his gaze. It's yours. You. You. You. You.
“Eeh? Whaddya–?”
Diluc looks up (unfortunately,) to see the black, amber, and green eyes looking back at him.
.
.
.
“Diluc must really like Mx. [Name]’s letter.”
The traveler breaks the silence.
“Now I'm curious, what could they have written to awoke such a reaction out of him, any theories?” Venti playfully questioned.
“Maybe it's a love letter!” The pixie answered with too much giddiness.
“It's definitely blackmail.” The blond smirked. (Furrowed brows? Check! Gotta be something incriminating.)
“It's neither.” Diluc deadpanned. “Don't make such uninformed guesses.”
“Uninformed? But Mx. [Name] said they'd sent a buncha letters! But they haven't gotten a response.” Paimon insisted, the unspoken words of ‘Diluc would totally ignore someone's constant love letters if he had the choice.’ underlined her speech.
“The trip from Mondtsadt to Fontaine is a long one, I only started to receive their letters two weeks ago.” Diluc shook his head, (a poor attempt to quell the fairy's theorizing.)
“We could always pass on a message?” The traveler offered.
“I wouldn't mind!” Venti chirped.. for some reason?
Paimon grumbled, “you're not included in this Tone-Deaf Bard!”
“ Eh? I was planning on visiting Fontaine soon anyways.” Venti replied, pouting only to further provoke the floating child.
Diluc quickly cleared his throat, (just in time to prevent the childish duo from bickering with each other.)
“If the traveller is offering, I do have something I want to give to [Name].”
Venti squinted, but didn't say anything.
“Of course,” The traveler agreed.
Diluc quickly drafted a note, not taking long to compile his thoughts into words meant for you.
The group continued to talk amongst themselves, bidding Diluc their goodbyes after he handed them the note enclosed in an envelope.
He saw them off to the door, leaving them with one final parting message, to not open it.
He saw them walk off into the distance. Diluc sighed as they left– relief admittedly washed over him.
But it was short lived.
The recognizable high pitched wails of the ivory haired tag-a-long was enough to confirm he'd have a lot to talk to you about as soon as you returned.
Tumblr media
It must've been a millenia till you returned
The breeze of Mondstadt made each step you took feel lighter. You could smell the scent wafting from good hunter's the moment you passed the gate.
You barely noticed the few pointed looks in your direction. One coming from a hard to remember face. (who was wondering who she was supposed to be jealous of.)
You ignored it, only wanting to do one thing. You practically floated into the tavern where you asked a certain someone to meet you when you came back.
You walked into the tavern, the brazen hours of daylight left behind you.
“Nice to meet you again, Diluc.”
His eyes snapped to your person, widening at the sight despite your predicted arrival. He got out of the area behind the bar to take you into a warm embrace.
No matter your stature, getting hugged by Diluc feels like a blanket covering you, protecting you from the outside world. He takes over your senses, the warmth of being home.
“I suppose you miss me?” You muttered after he pulled away. He was close enough to hear even the slightest change in your breathing.
“More than I could ever admit.” He breathed out, more than glad to have you back.
“Did anything exciting happen while I was gone?”
He sucked in his teeth with a slight furrow of his brows. “I wish it was more mundane actually.”
“Huh. Tell me more?”
You both made your way to one of the multiples of empty tables. You both spoke in hushed whispers despite there not being a single person to overheat.
“I'm sorry, dear.” Diluc apologized, his head resting in his hand, his fingers covering a bit of his eye. Red bangs would have fallen on top of his calloused digits if not for the familiar hairclip pinning them back.
“Don't be sorry, it wasn't your fault at all.” You let your fingers rest on the side of his face, tilting his head to look into your eyes.
He had told you about the incident, how Paimon's curiosity led to the whole of Mondstadt knowing the most eligible bachelor wasn't a bachelor at all.
It didn't help that the first line was ‘To my dearly beloved,’ unmistakably written by him.
It wasn't long before the ‘secret’ spread along Mondstadt's greatest gossipers, Diluc was out of stock.
“I understand you didn't want this kind of publicity, but I'm okay with it.” You insisted.
He looked at you, his eyes weary with exhaust. Whether it was because he was worried over your reaction or the scandal seeping his energy, you didn't know.
“[Name], you don't need to pretend it's fine, we agreed this would be a secret.” Diluc grumbled.
You remember that vow, the publicity of dating one of Mondstadt's most notable figures would have been incredibly pressuring.
You didn't know if you were ready for that.
“It was something I expected if I'm being honest. I'm well prepared, love.” After all, if you were to progress your relationship to the next level, it would be an even bigger shock if Diluc was secretly married.
Maybe this was for the best..?
You put your hand onto the table, your palm facing up as he moved his hand to meet yours, keeping his grip on your palm secure.
“No matter what happens, we'll do it together, okay?” You vowed.
Diluc looked at you warmly. Even without a pyro vision, you don't think he'd ever be cold to you.
A beat of silence passed, and he rubbed the back of your palm with his thumb. His glove rubbed against the peak of your knuckles.
“You look tired,” He whispered listlessly.
You bantered, “I could say the same for you.”
You both stood up, Diluc kept his hand locked in yours. “Let's go home.”
And you couldn't want anything more.

Itto
Tumblr media
The Traveller and Paimon had found themselves in Inazuma again, this time just for some fun.
To their suprise one of the first people they encountered was the infamous Arataki Gang having what seemed to be a meeting in the middle of nowhere making an absolute ruckus with Shinobu stood with her arms crossed wishing she was somewhere else.
"Alright, gang! Today's meeting is super important! We gotta decide what to buy for our new, amazing, drop dead gorgeous, special member....AKA my girlfriend!" Arataki Itto's voice echoed.
"Well, if it isn't Bull Chucker! Fancy seeing you hear...making a LOT of noise as usual...." Itto turned his head and noticed the Traveller and Paimon making their way to where he was stood, a beam making its way on his face.
"Well, if it's isn't my amigos, the Traveller and little Lavender Melon Paimon!!" he boomed out.
"Hello, Traveller and Paimon it is nice to see you once again." Kuki said calmly in contrast to Itto's voice.
"Hey guys! Nice to see you too! What are you all up too? You seem awfully excited Itto....well more excited than usual..." Paimon asked with confusion.
"Well I am glad you asked, we have a newest member who also happens to be-"
Before Itto could finish his sentence, you approached, holding a pot that steamed with a delicious aroma.
You had a confident yet gentle smile on your face as Itto looked at you mesmerised. The Traveller definitely didn't miss this romantic gaze.
"Sorry I'm late, everyone," you said, setting the pot down. "I brought food for everyone too eat!"
"Y/N! You're just in time! Everyone, meet Y/N from the L/N clan AND my girlfriend. She has joined the Arataki gang to be in charge of making meals, since she loves to cook for people!"
"Hello all, nice to meet you. I have heard so much about you! All good things don't worry!" You chuckle as Paimon and The traveller looked back and forth between you and Itto looking stunned.
"The L/N clan?!?! How on earth did you pull a member of the rich, powerful and famous L/N clan? I suppose your good at some things...."
"HUH?! Shut it Lavender Melon!! The way we met isn't important-"
"Oh, it's rather romantic, don't you think Itto!" you wrapped your arm around Itto's after interrupting him and resting your head on his arm, as he sweatdropped.
"He broke into my residence to get some flowers, but I caught him and then we got chatting and obviously I fell in love with him!"
"WHAT?!?!?" Paimon and The traveller shouted as you and Kuki laughed and Itto couldn't look up.
"What can I say....I am a charisma king, I must say!"
Tighnari
Tumblr media
Despite being in a relationship with the smartest person you know, his knowledge clearly didn't rub off on you because you felt like you were getting dumber by the day.
It all started when Tighnari had asked you and Collei to go identify some mushrooms to distinguish if the were edible or not to update the Avidya Forest Survival Guide.
After seeing a mushrooms that 'had to be edible' in your terms you decided to take a bite. Whilst the flavour was lovely to start off the with dizziness that came after was a clear indicator that it was probably poisonous
"Collei! Who is this and what's going on?!" you see through your lidded eyes a high pitched flying fairy and someone who looks like they are from out of Teyvat.
"Traveller, Paimon! Perfect timing! There is no time to explain but please help me take her to Master Tighnari!!"
Next thing you know you pass out completely and wake up with Tighnari sat on your bed checking your temperature and checking for any rashes.
"Tigh...nari??" you mumble reaching for him as he holds your hand.
"Ah Y/N, you are awake. Now what did I tell you and what have I always told you about the mushrooms you eat? What made you think eating this mushroom would benefit you! You have to listen to me or worse things could happen and you-" He stopped rambling and let out a big sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I'm sorry, Nari...I promise I won't do it again..." you were now sat up looking guilty as he engulfed you in a hug that you reciprocated.
"Don't worry, just....be careful. I don't want to lose you."
"AHEM!!! Sorry to interrupt but the are still 2 very confused people stood here!!" Paimon burst out.
"My apologies, this Y/N a forest ranger and my girlfriend, she also takes care of Collei from time to time. Y/N, this is the Traveller and Paimon that I have told you about." Tighnari casually said patting your head as he got up to go to his table.
"Hey guys! It is a pleasure to meet you! I apologise for the circumstances...I can be rather clumsy at times..." you chuckle slightly as you sweatdropped.
"Nice to meet you too! I hope we become close friends! We didn't know you had a girlfriend Tighnari....it must be refreshing since you are opposites"
"Quite! It Master Tighnari says no about something I can go to Master Y/N and she will say yes!!" Collei happily exposes you and herself as you sweatdrop and Tighnari's head snaps back.
"COLLEI!!" both you and Tighnari shout as the Traveller and Paimon sit there chuckling.
Lyney
Tumblr media
It was very dark at night and the Traveller and Paimon had just finished doing a commission for Katheryne and decided that the weather was nice enough to go on a scenic walk.
What they didn't expect to see on a cliff was a figure who looked like Lyney and another figure opposite him sat on a picnic blanket.
After some consideration they both mutually decided to approach you both.
What they didn't know is that you and Lyney were on a date, something you barely went on due to being busy. Lyney was the most romantic person you know and he always knew how to show you magic that you had never seen before that sent your heart aflame.
"My dearest rainbow rose, it pains me we cannot spend time together as romantically as we used to...when we are at work we are forced to keep is hidden..."
He holds your hands tightly and when he removes them a rainbow rose was in one hand and a box of expensive chocolates was in your other's you embrace each other.
"Uhhh, I hope we aren't interrupting anything...." Paimon suddenly speaks up scaring you both as you jolt away from each other pretending nothing happened.
"O-oh Traveller and Paimon!! What are you doing here?? I mean nice to see you again...." Lyney chuckles nervously as he hadn't intended for anyone to see him and you. You relationship was secret after all.
"Nice to see you too....but we should be asking what you are doing here embracing a woman!! And why do you look suspicious?!" Paimon laid all the questions on him, he let out a sigh giving up.
"Well, this woman here is Y/N, my personal assistant and also....my girlfriend. We have been keeping our relationship secret because it's a personal thing we don't want others to see."
"Hello Traveller and Paimon! It's lovely to meet you! Lyney has nothing but praises for you both!" you speak up smiling warmly.
"Hi there Y/N, nice to meet you too!! We are shocked you have a girlfriend Lyney considering how secretive you are...."
Lyney let out a heartly laugh intertwining his hand with yours.
"Well, I too would've said that 1 year ago but Y/N managed to steal a magicians heart, the hardest trick of all." Lyney looks at you lovingly as you look back at him lovingly too.
"Well, you guys are so wholesome and sweet, we are in support of your secret-"
"CLICK!!"
Everyones head snapped around to see Charlotte the Journalist taking pictures.
"CHARLOTTE NO!!" everyone shouted as The Traveller and Paimon sais their farewells and quickly caught her making sure she deleted those photos for good.

Breaking Up hcs | Genshin & HSR
Have I done this before? I know I made that "what if we broke up?" post but I don't think I've done break up hcs before? I hope not anyway cuz i'm doing them now! Also, maybe I went overboard a little cuz even I felt bad lol and I usually don't feel sad when I write angst.
Characters: Aether, Diluc, Wanderer, Caelus, Jing Yuan, and Aventurine (lol I'ma try)
Tumblr media
☽ Aether
That break up took a toll on him, more so than even he thought at first. Sleeping became his least favorite activity because he was constantly seeing your faces in his dreams. Constantly.
The entirety of Teyvat fell apart for the short time their favorite errand boy refused to do anything for them. Honestly, Aether didn't do anything for the first week or so. He was barely eating, barely sleeping, barely alive.
It was hard adventuring too, Paimon no longer wanted him to go because sometimes he'd just get distracted and take unnecessary hits. It was kinda bad. Eventually, she got Katheryne to no longer give him any combat requests because he just wasn't doing good enough.
All he wanted to do was talk to you, but you didn't want to talk to him, so that led him to just remaining in his teapot alone. He didn't even allow visitors for a short while. Paimon did her best to try and comfort him, but there were so few words that could actually get through that sorrow he was dealing with.
It took maybe a month before he allowed people to come visit him and under no circumstances were they allowed to bring you up. Mainly because he'd cry. Everyone did try in their own way to help him, even people like Wanderer or Arlecchino tried to give him some "words of wisdom". It... didn't work mainly because Aether wasn't receptive to it anymore.
☽ Diluc
He really did busy himself with work like he said he would. It's almost all hours of the day. He's rarely even seen at home anymore.
Ironically, Diluc is still very careful about getting hurt because if he did, then he'd need to remain at home and be on bed rest and he genuinely couldn't handle that.
He no longer sleeps in his bed either. Usually, he comes home later, collapses on the couch for a few hours until some dream about you wakes him up and he's back to work. He can't stand sleeping in that bed because you used to lay right beside him.
No one, I mean no one, is allowed to even say your name. Truth be told, Diluc is barely hanging on by a thread, someone saying your name and bringing your image to his mind's eye would ruin him.
Even Kaeya doesn't tease him. Actually, Kaeya keeps away because Diluc is quite irritable and not many people wanted to deal with that. While they understood the break up upset him... it was just too much.
☽ Wanderer
Oh boy. Breaking up with him was hard because he was angry and yelling (at the situation apparently), and just saying no. Eventually though, he relented and agreed. You didn't want to be with him and... well, it wasn't right to force you.
The aftermath was pretty bad. He was angry, didn't want to talk to anyone, and just up and vanished for a while. It wasn't until Aether and Paimon accidentally stumbled upon him while adventuring that they learned a little about what happened.
(W/n) explained that he never thought he'd lose you. Out of all the people he was "friendly" with, he never thought you would up and leave the way you did. It broke his heart- a heart he didn't even know started beating again.
Aether offered for (w/n) to join him on some adventures to just take his mind off of things and he, surprisingly, agreed. But it wasn't the same. Both Paimon and Aether noticed the lack of energy.
He was also constantly in his own mind. Most conversations happened between Aether and Paimon because (w/n) would just mentally check out and not even be paying attention. He didn't break down and cry physically but emotionally, he was a wreck. But it was so bad, he didn't know what to do. Cry, scream, try and take over the world, he didn't know.
What he did know was that the world didn't feel right without you.
Tumblr media
☆ Caelus
You lived on the Astral Express with him and the others. Everyone thought you were the cutest couple and everywhere you went, you two received the same compliments. So, he definitely fell apart a little when you just up and ended the relationship.
The worst part was that he couldn't have time away from you. Not in the mean sense, but if you two were breaking up, he needed (for his own mental health) not to see you every single day. But... that wasn't possible.
It was extremely awkward for everyone on board. Welt and Himeko tried their best to keep things normal, the conductor did their best to keep conversations going, and Dan Heng just didn't bother coming out of his room. Caelus took a page from Dan Heng's books and just locked himself away for like two weeks.
When it was finally time for him to come out, he took time off of the express, choosing to go visit some old friends to regain some of that normalcy. Jarilo VI was where he spent most of his time as he hadn't been there in a while. He stayed there without the others for maybe two or so weeks, finding ample time to spend with Natasha, Seele, Bronya, Serval, and Gepard.
While he didn't openly state you two broke up, everyone knew. He did go and visit the Xianzhou which Dan Heng did join him in doing which was a good bonding experience for the two. It was when he finally opened up about losing you. According to Caelus, everything felt so wrong. Like a part of him was missing and that part was so close to his reach. But every single day, he had to pretend like it wasn't.
☆ Jing Yuan
He really didn't know what to do at the moment. He kinda stopped paying attention after you said you wanted to end the relationship. He tried to convince you otherwise, saying that breaking up wouldn't give him the chance to fix it but you were pretty adamant. He couldn't just say no... so he said ok and you were gone.
He tried to act normal. He did his job normally for the first day and that's when it all started to fall apart. The second he had time alone, it just hit him so painfully. You thought him losing his old friends was painful? This was a whole new level.
The second day, he couldn't really perform his duties as well and just handed them off to the first person he saw. Yanqing was most worried and desperately tried to get anyone's help because he didn't know what to do. It led him straight to the Astral Express and unsurprisingly, no one knew what to do.
Jing Yuan didn't even want help, honestly. He'd been hurting for years carrying the memories he did, so what was one more painful one? Maybe it was some sort of divine justice? Jing Yuan wasn't the most upstanding man, right? So he probably deserved this. What right did he have to just go and fix it?
Caelus did end up finding him out and about once, having the chance to share tea with Jing Yuan. The general explained he didn't know how to fix anything anymore. While it wasn't healthy to live life this way, it was his punishment probably. Caelus' concern led him to ask that burning question: why?
"I should've done better. Treated them better... maybe then... I'd still have them."
☆ Aventurine
He almost didn't register the words that came out of your mouth. You... break up with him? You were talking, explaining why, but he couldn't really follow. It's like his brain just stopped working and all he could think was 'this wasn't supposed to happen'.
At the end of it, you were gone and he was alone. Aventurine expected betrayal in his line of work, but he never expected it from you. Your "deal" with him was special. It wasn't like his normal deals. It was one that you two emerged equally victorious and no one lost anything. Right?
Even Ratio had pity for him. Aventurine waltzed around as if nothing happened but there was such a dramatic shift in his personality. He said the same things he always did, he acted as if he always did, but there was a distinct bitterness when he spoke of being let down.
When he told people to make use of him, there was a hint of resentment laced in his words. While he claimed he expected to be exploited at some point, there was still a twinge of fear. It never hurt before but for some reason, it scared him now.
He did briefly open up to Ratio, who was just berating him as usual, and it even took him by surprise. Aventurine didn't say much, but he did say how he figured everyone in the world to want to set him on fire for one reason or another. He just didn't expect it would be you to light the flame. Veritas called him an idiot and said you had every right to leave, which Aventurine wholeheartedly agreed with.
You did have every right to leave. You just didn't have the right to take whatever made him feel normal.

SAGAU but you're saved by characters from other Self-Aware games
TW: It's SAGAU, so expect some violence, religious themes, and pratically everything you can expect from SAGAU itself. Plus, this is before we get to know who the Pyro Archon is.
"IMPOSTOR!"
"DEATH TO THE USURPER!"
"YOU CAN'T ESCAPE FOREVER!"
At this point, you've lost count of how many times you've heard those words once the "Hunt for the Imposter" began.
You've heard them numerous times before. The moment you arrived in a world you once thought to be a game. The moment you got sent to Hell when that damn drunken driver smashed right into your car.
Now, the Demons that you once thought were Angels in your eyes hunted you throughout all of Teyvat, treating you like the worst criminal in all of existence.
You know the first place you arrived Mondstadt, but the rush from running away for god knows how many days left your memories somewhat blurry. That, and all the pain and wounds you received from the Genshin cast.
All over this weird belief that you were a "False Creator".
*WHOOSH!*
A blinding pain interrupts from your thoughts. You scream in agony as you abruptly fall to the ground, shocked by the sight of an arrow lodged in your leg. Most likely Vent-no, Barbatos. That's who the bard really was.
Tears stream down your face as you see the horde of people with raw, indistinguishable looks of contempt directed towards you. You could recognize them all; Lisa, Kaeya, Yae Miko, hell, you even spotted Tartaglia in there.
Accompanying them where the Gods of Teyvat. The Archons themselves, or atleast, the ones you knew were officially Archons. From Morax, Ei, Barbatos (Who giggled as he saw his arrow lodged on the target) and even the Tsaritsa herself. Her appearance being similar to the one drawn by one Astruma2.
(A/N: You can check it out here!)
"Ehe!~ Oops, did that hurt?" Barbatos sneered, a sadistic glee in his eyes that would be out of place in the drunken bard you use to love. The supposed "God of Freedom" approaches your beaten form alongside his fellow gods.
"Usurper. For the longest time, you have refused to atone for the biggest sin imaginable; stealing the face of the Almighty Creator. Your mockery of the Divine has come to its end. It is time to pay for your crime." Raiden Ei's stern voice spoke to your sobbing body, hand clenching the Musou Isshin, which was crackling with purple lightning. Fitting for an Electro user.
Tears continued dripping down your face. Was this really it? Was this how you would die? Stuck here? Or would you come back to your world after perishing?
Approaching you with a Polearm held in his hand, was your "Executioner." You perked up when the steps stopped in front of you. Deciding to at least see who it was, your eyes went up before locking view with the golden orbs of the Lord of Geo. Morax looked down on you with pure disgust, seemingly restraining himself from striking you down right here and now.
"This ends now, you filthy heretic. The taint you have put on The Divine Grace's name with your mocking flesh shall finally end right here. Prepare to join your sinful brethren at the Abyss." Snarled the God of Contracts, pointing the Vortex Vanquisher at your head.
Part of you knew that some of them wanted to torture you even further (Mostly that damn Fatui Doctor who you simped for), but after all the time you also expected them to end this cat and mouse game once and for all.
"NO! STOP!" Called out the Traveler, trying to push through the crowd alongside Paimon. From the moment you fell to Teyvat, they remembered your aura. It was the same one guiding them from the moment you started playing. They tried numerous times to find you, but your desperation for survival stopped that from happening.
Tears fall from your eyes as you close them and take a deep breath, before giving up. Whether you go back to your world once you die or not doesn't matter, you're free from this whole disaster. You're tired, and you can finally rest after all this time.
Staring at Morax eye to eye, you give him the order.
"Just do it already."
However, it seems like Fate had order plans for you.
"Epsilon! Abstract Tragedy!"
A unfamiliar voice to you, with a French-tinged English, calls out before flashing lights appear and an invisible force hits the Archons, pushing them back. You and the crowd can only stare in shock as a white, floating ring appears; Apparently the cause behind the attack.
"C'mon Kris! We gotta help them!"
Another voice proclaims, and you hear as presumably two people run towards you, trying to get you up. The shock you were in fades away, as you stare at the tanned face of a cat; One from a very, very familiar game that broke your heart.
....Niko?
"(Y/N), please! We need to get away from them!" Niko cries out in distress, the sight of your battered body bringing tears to their eyes. Out of all the ways they expected their reunion with you after you helped them go home, this was definitely not how it should've gone down.
You just stare dumbfounded at them, before a constant tug at your arm makes you makes you turn to a side, this time being greeted by a certain Lightner in a knight-like armor staring at you with a single red eye.
Kris!?
Kris just stared at you with a solemn look. While they weren't exactly happy about you controlling their body, they knew something was odd when you simply didn't appear one day. Soon enough, they now had to travel to this world with two others in order to save you from the hell you were currently living. They had to admit; Kris had grown used to your presence, and while they wanted you to stop using them like a puppet, what was happening to you now was beyond cruel.
They tugged your arm before pointing backwards, indicating that you all needed to get out. You simply nodded, as you quickly got back to your senses and got back up to your feet, albeit with some difficulty with your injuries. Your two protectors let out a breath in relief, before Niko shouted at the person who stopped your would be murderers, "Batter! We got them, try and fend them off while you can!"
As the duo rushed to get you out, your eyes went back to the mob that was hunting you down, and just like Niko described, yet another character from a self-aware game you once played was there to help you. This time it a rather tall, monochromatic baseball player with three floating rings serving as his Add-Ons. The same one you had helped to purify his broken world.
Batter!
The Batter glared with his four eyes, a look of sheer anger in all of them. He had sensed you were in danger; how could he not? He was your loyal puppet, after all. During the time you guided him, he had sworn to protect you should you ever somehow be in danger. And after a long hibernation in the Nothingness, that time had come now. Now, these filthy criminals shall pay for their crimes against you.
"Repent while you can, corrupted Guardians. For I am the Judgement that has come to punish you for your countless sins." His Ashley Bat held tightly in his hands, Batter prepared himself for a battle, intending on giving his two new "partners" time to help his God escape far from here.
As the Archons wielded their weapons, his Add-Ons floated besides him, all three ready to help them like they always had. He had purified the Guardians of his world, alongside the many specters invading it. Thanks to you, he had reached Level 50; the maximum he could get. It would take these fools a miracle to finally end him.
Before giving out the first attack, Batter only let out three simple words:
"Purification in Progress..."
(A/N: Phew! Hope y'all enjoyed this little thing I made! It honestly saddened that there weren't any other SAGAU post that implemented games that were actually self-aware like, say, OFF or Deltarune. Thus, this was made! Oh and don't worry about Batter, he makes it out fine :D)

ALSO i LOVE the reveal that stolas' pupils aren't a display of power after all but a LACK of it. in every previous instance we've seen of his white pupils showing it's when he's been highly emotional (excited/angry/afraid) -
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- and i had initially assumed that it was a show of his power flaring up, but since he's stripped of his powers, suddenly they're present 100% of the time, so it seems like what was actually happening is that, at a certain power level, they "lose" their pupils.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(note: he also gets that gray stripe in his head feathers only AFTER being stripped of his powers, and he previously had had it during ozzie's, so either that's naturally there and he hides it most of the time (and chose to show it to blitz during their first real date), or it had only been makeup during ozzie's.)
and knowing this now, it actually tracks with what we've seen of the other goetia! andrealphus has them, too, but we only see them once, when he's yelling at stella in the beginning of this episode; stella has them all the time, and as far as we've seen, she doesn't seem to have any powers whatsoever? we know octavia can do magic, but she's still young and learning, so she's not really powerful enough yet for it to obscure her eyes.
(the only one throwing me for a loop on this is paimon, whose white pupils are also always visible, but he also has distinctive black sclera and red irises, so maybe he's got something different going on.)

Eden University Au
Part 1 Gehenna Football Team
Cw: gangbang, Dubcon, No sex but extremely suggestive,
Tumblr media
*CRASH*
You jolt awake from your bed The throbbing in your head increasing and intensity with every time your eyelids sweater open and close instinctively you press your hands over your eyes before reaching for your phone.
The bright light flashes your poor sensitive eyes. 11:36pm
You grit your teeth together slamming your head back onto your pillow hoisting the blanket over your head. Hoping the muffled laughing and cussing would stop.
This was not the voices of your rowdy 7 roommates It was more violent pounding and crashing as the loud noises slowly become more and more booming.
Besides, he thought you would have to house alone tonight since Leviathan had a Debate. Beelzebub had a show tonight that Bael stomped over, grabbing the Lord of the Flies with a crumpled script before dragging him away. Lucifer and the rest of Paradise Lost are the only "volunteers" Occupying the nurse's office and part of STEM. They're always busy. You could also say the same for Mammon and the rest of Tartaros since they're always crunching down the university's funds and hosting expensive charity events for more funding. Even Belphegor had to attend training. Asmodeus is.... You don't want to know where...
*BOOM*
A loud explosion rips you from your less than peaceful night's sleep. Throwing off your covers You want yourself out of bed. Seriously!? Whatever that explosion is You hope it's not enough for the Seraphim of Angel Council to have an excuse to do something. You swing your door open and watch downstairs to the common space where you see Your college roommate Satan laughing his ass off holding his stomach as tears are in his eyes. Looking over to the two demons, Sitri in his uniform a scary look in his eye and his hand placed tightly around the neck of another demon whose head is now through a wall.
Oh yeah Angel council is definitely going to do something about that.
Zagan's eyes go wide as his met your's his cheeks dusted pink as Paimon still hasn't noticed you filming the entire thing on his phone. Leraye did notice you with a big smile he runs over to you like a puppy picking you up like you weigh less than a pound twirling you in the air. "HEEY!! WE MISSED YOU!! Why are you not with us at our game?! I thought His Majesty Satan invited you?"
Satan Had a smirk on his face as he walked closer to you This muscular arms folded as he snarled "I did... Little fucker ignored my text..."His condescending tone made your eyebrows furrow, that bastard smile only widened when he saw your very clear annoyance. " I told you I have to study!"
"booo!! Studying! That's so boring! Is that all you humans do at your colleges?" Paimon laughed finally putting the phone down nuzzling into your face.
Zagan slapped Leraye on the back giving him the clear message that it was time to let go of you and give you some space. "Oops Sorry!" Leraye said when he finally realized he was choking you.
"We wanted to see you at our game YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!" Belial spoke through Jjyu who had a tiny little jersey to match his team.
Satan got close to your face His eyes half left giving you a look that's sent a shivered on your spine. Instinctively you back up into a hardness pressing against your butt Leraye hummed in delight.
"what to do with you... We're all worked up after a game... And you weren't there to keep us company, I think we deserve... Compensation don't you agree?"
Satan slipped his pants down just enough for his cock to spring free, His teeth sinks into his bottom lip hard enough to draw blood He gives you a hot kiss his tongue pushing inside you, You tasted the metallic of his blood as your tongue mixes with his. You suddenly became very aware of the heavy breaths and other devils around you, looking at you with hungry eyes.
"Don't worry your pretty little head we still have plenty of time~Why don't you get on your knees and give us a little reward for winning our game?"

We Care About You (Part VI)
The Traveler finally gets to say what they wanted to say to [Y/N].

"You're still looking stressed, [Y/N]. Are you sure you're okay?"
You looked up to see the Traveler's concerned face. "Oh, I'm fine, I guess. Sorry. I just really wasn't expecting something like this to happen."
"Paimon understands. Paimon would be scared too if she found herself summoned to another world."
You slowly nodded. You found yourself to be a lot more calm than you were roughly three minutes ago, but that didn't mean you weren't nervous. After all, you were talking with two people who are only known to exist inside of a game. Purely pixels on a screen. And yet, here you were having a genuine conversation with them.
"Speaking of which, you said you wanted to talk to me about your future journey?"
"Not mine, ours," the Traveler shook their head. "It's our future journey."
"No, it is yours," you rebutted, confidence rising within you. "I'm not the one traveling around Teyvat, you are."
"But you are with me, are you not?" the Traveler calmly refuted, crossing their arms. "You're the one who's been guiding me and all the others, right?"
Aaaaaaaaaaand your confidence is gone.
You nervously rubbed your hands together and avoided looking at the Traveler. "Is that how you see it? I'm... guiding you?"
Paimon tilted their head. "Yeah...? What, you don't see it that way?"
You hesitated for a second before you finally shook your head.
"Then what do you see it as?"
You were now very afraid. You wanted to tell them your honest thoughts, but you worried how they would react to it. Would they be angry? Would they threaten you to stop? Would they start fighting you?
... ... ...
...Would they kill you? Was this all just an act to lower your guard?
You gulped, tugging at the neckline of your shirt. "I kind of see it as..." you sighed, looking back down at the stone table.
"...Possession."
You waited for a response but received none. The worst kind of response you can get.
"I felt like I was manipulating your actions without your consent," you continued, your voice barely audible over the sounds of the night. "That's why I tried to make things better. But even then, you still fought back. I thought that you hated me. I thought that you brought me here to get rid of me..."
"...But if you see my actions as 'guiding' you..." you looked up. "...Then what does that make me in your eyes?"
Both the Traveler and Paimon had concentrated expressions on their faces. You waited for either of their expressions to change, but you were also afraid of what the new one would become. Would they be satisfied with your answer? Would they be furious? You didn't want to know. So instead, you put your arms on the table and rested your forehead on top of them.
If you didn't want to use your eyes, you'd have to use your ears, instead. You thought of all the audible reactions you would expect to hear. A slam of fists or hands, yelling and shouting, the sound of a sword being drawn.
Or worse of all, silence. You can rarely tell what a person is thinking whenever they are silent.
...That's what scares you the most.
You waited with bated breath for a response and thankfully it wasn't long before you got one. First, you heard the sound of fabric scraping against stone. Next, you heard the shifting of sand. Lastly, you heard footsteps growing louder by the step.
The Traveler was walking over to you.
At this point, you wanted to do something instead of being vulnerable to a potential threat. But deep down, you knew that it was useless. You couldn't flee because it would take the Traveler mere seconds to catch up with you. You couldn't fight because you knew that you had no shot of going against someone who has gone toe-to-toe with gods.
You are vulnerable. You are weak. You are useless. You are worthless.
...You are going to die.
Tears began to well up in your eyes, but you fought the urge to cry. You probably looked pathetic to them already.
You heard a couple of more steps before they stopped. They were standing right behind you.
Silence.
...
... ...
... … …
*SHING*
...
... ...
... … …
*WHOOSH*
...
... ...
... … …
*CLANG*
...?
...You didn't expect that noise. It came from your left.
You turned towards the noise and spotted the Traveler's dull sword.
"...Huh?"
Suddenly, you felt their arms wrap loosely around your neck.
You immediately stiffened your spine and brought your hands on top of theirs. However, before you could throw them off your body, you felt their head rest on your shoulder. Then they stopped.
... ... …
...Now you were confused. What were they doing?
... ... …
...Wait...
... ... …
...Is this... a hug...?
Sure enough, the more you thought about it, the more you believed that the Traveler was hugging you.
...But why?
"To me... in my eyes..."
... ... …
"You're my friend..."
The Traveler slightly tightened their hug.
"And I wouldn't know what to do without you..."
... ... …
You've finally relaxed.
And now that you are, there's one thing that you'd like to do.
Slowly, to not startle the Traveler, you got up from your seat and turned towards them. You could tell that they were wondering why you got up.
They stopped wondering when you went up and hugged them back. It took a while, but they wrapped your arms around your back in a friendly embrace.
"I wouldn't know what to do without you either."

It's very amusing to see some people insist that Neuvillette has always held Furina in the highest regard even before the act V reveal because for all intents and purposes, Neuvillette is a menace to Furina's theatrics pre-reveal.
Just from act I & II alone he has canonically:
obliterated Furina's attempt to look cool by telling the Traveler and Paimon that she's waiting for them to notice her posing
stopped Furina from slipping away from Lyney's trial and forced her to admit defeat
told the Traveler that Furina has no idea why the Oratrice seemingly malfunctioned and is bullshitting the crowd, prompting Paimon to point out that he's good at foiling Furina's plans
pointedly avoided answering Paimon's question about whether Furina could be trusted to prevent the prophecy, letting the silence be answer enough
And it's honestly excellent characterization for both characters. We get to see Furina's insecurities behind her larger than life persona (before we got the context behind her actions), and we also get to see a snarky side to Neuvillette that we didn't expect from his first appearance.

16 Favourite Moments from the Anniversary Chats
In alphabetical order. Long post.
Amon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Amon's yearning for Beel and now MC is on full display here. It's sweet, if sad.
Amy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's cute that Amy is so overstimulated by the thought of being able to go on a date with us that he has take a moment to calm his beating heart lest Sitri hears it and ruins it for him.
Bael
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A demon genuinely acknowledging our human lifespan is uncommon. And Bael does it beautifully here.
Barbatos
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Barbatos is full of charming compliments. Keep laying them on me, sun boy.
Beleth
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A tiny bit of backstory. Sincere honesty from Beleth about how he wants us. Compliments us. And ends with some spice as a cherry on top. I think this chat has everything you could want.
Bimet
Tumblr media
He was nice in a very Bimet-like way. Compliments us while taking full advantage of the situation.
Foras
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Foras got the cake recipe from notoriously bad cook Bael and I just want to see the funny aftermath.
Gamigin
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cutie-pie, family-man Gamigin. Love him.
Glasyalabolas
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Glasy up to his usual antics. Levi deserves to be teased about MC and Glasy does a good job of it.
Marbas
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some intense emotions from Marbas are shown here that were a pleasant surprise. I've always been a sucker for the trope of loving someone so much that they are your only weakness. Also, I wasn't expecting him to explicitly put us above Solomon, but I love it. Sitri take notes.
Naberius
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Naberius stating he could only be happy if we settle down in Hell and trying to convince us to stay is very sweet.
Paimon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I really want to see his outfit. I like that he wants to match with us.
Phenix
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm fascinated by eating food off of a person's body. I think Phenix would be a very good plate.
Ppyong
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just like that we got a chat from Ppyong for the first time. I love that little guy. Also, the mention of Minhyeok was a good touch.
Sitri
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don’t care for him still referring to us as Solomon. I just like him informing us about Satan putting having a National Holiday for our arrival in Hell to a vote and the other Kings agreeing immediately.
Stolas
Tumblr media
It is very cute that he was so excited about celebrating our arrival anniversary that he couldn’t sleep for two weeks leading up to it.
As a bonus: Here’s the Full King Anniversary Chat

ᅠᅠᅠTHE GOLD AND THE BLUE
Tumblr media
ᅠ···─THE GOLD AND THE BLUE with AETHER
Summary: You were simply a traveler living in Teyvat, one day news spread about two stars falling from the sky. Before the news of a new hero rising in Mondstadt came around, Aether.
This one is simply thought of as a series, where I slowly just try to write about Male Reader with each male character of Genshin Impact, this one is all about Aether. Other's will follow probably (hopefully) soon, none of them have a connection there will be a definitely a story or multiple w Male Reader x All M Genshin Characters, just because it seems fun and we all know we have more house husbands in Genshin (and probably other games) than only one.
But the series will probably have more story errors as I'm mostly just a collector, but I'll try to make some sense w the og game plot and events. There will also be mostly fluff, probably lime and smut and if angst then only hurt comfort, and probably some possessive stuff going on w some characters. MALE READER IS TOP IN THE SERIES. Also this one is short I'll try to make them longer. Obv it will take a while for me to write all of these, hope y'all are patient enough w lil ol' me and stick around for a bit. Hope y'all enjoy and I hope y'all are doing well <3 All credits of the art used as banners go to the original creators!

It has been a rather long day since you traveled from Liyue back to Mondstadt. The backpack that you carried was a heavy baggage that slowed you down and made you sweat buckets underneath the blazing sun.
But well you can't help it, even after many times of seeing the same scenery and going through the long and painful journey, you always found yourself traveling from Mondstadt to Liyue.
With a heavy sigh, you slung the backpack from your back, placing it on the ground, before wiping the sweat off of your forehead. Glancing up at the clear blue sky, you couldn’t help but just rest on a rock and simply look up. You deserve a break from traveling.
Suddenly a high pitched voice in the distance caught your attention. As you glanced over you could see the slightly familiar flying silhouette of a small being, Paimon. Slowly another figure emerged, long blonde hair neatly tied to a braid and the all too familiar outfit.
Obviously Paimon wouldn’t be here, if it wasn’t for Aether.
Just as you wanted to look away from the approaching duo, you were stopped by the simple lift of the hand from Aether. You quickly gave a small wave back, before trying to find something to busy yourself with, as it was suddenly so awkward.
You never met Aether really before, but you knew him. How couldn’t you, when almost everyone in Teyvat knew about him? The glorious hero, looking for his sister.  As you looked through your back, a slight shadow fell onto your legs and a pair of feet were in front of yours.
As you looked up you came face to face with Aether and a smiling Paimon. “Hello there!” she said while waving her small hand at you, which you returned with a small smile.
“Hello,” was your short response.
There was a certain awkward silence between the three of you, as the two stared at you, while your eyes jumped between the two, not trying to basically stare at the blonde. Which was hard– the reason simply being you never quite got a closer look at the other. Just a few glances at the back, when the other visited Mondstadt or Liyue.
“Uhh– I’m Aether, nice to meet you,” the blonde spoke up, while reaching his hand out to you. Surprised you looked at it, before slowly taking it and shaking his hand, “Y/n– call me Y/n.”
You watched as a sweet smile started to blossom on the others lips, before the voice of Paimon chirped up, “Are you a traveller, Y/n?” she asked, while pointing at your stuffed bag.
Grabbing both of yours and Aether’s attention, your eyes landed on your bag as well, “Yes, it wasn't hard to guess, was it?” you chuckled. “So Paimon is right! Where do you travel to? Did you see a lot of places in Teyvat? Any food–” suddenly a hand clasped over Paimon’s mouth.
“I think that’s enough questions for the span of twenty seconds..” Aether mumbled, while Paimon glared at him. You couldn’t help but chuckle at the display in front of you, lifting a hand up to cover your mouth as two pairs of eyes focused on you.
“No problem.. To answer your questions, I only travel from Mondstadt to Liyue and back– which would also answer your second question too,” you sheepishly said. Paimon stared at you with her big eyes, before glancing at her companion, and then back to you.
“Paimon thinks– you should travel with us someday–” Paimon blurted out, only to get her mouth covered again, you looked surprised but it was quickly replaced with a smile, “one day sure.”
There was a small moment of silence, before it was interrupted by another person, “Hey!” a man yelled as he jogged closer, distress and relief on his face as his eyes fell onto Aether, “We need your help,” the man said out of breath.
Aether threw a glance at you, as you smiled. “Seems like the knight in shining armor has more people to help,” you teased before grabbing onto your bag and swinging it onto your back again, “Wish you the best of luck–” you said while walking a few steps away before turning around, “Hope we see each other again, maybe for a nice dinner on me.”
There was a short moment where Aether seemed surprised at the invitation, but gave you a smile back and a nod, “Stay safe out there,” were the last words from Aether’s side, before he was led away by the frantic man. You watched his back for a while, it felt like all the times before where you were only able to see his back from afar.
With a shake of your head, you turned your back as well as you continued to walk towards Mondstadt.
A few days passed since your encounter with Aether, surprisingly you did see the blonde male a few times in Mondstadt and had a small chat with him, before he was dragged away to help the people in need.
Now you are making your way to the Dawn Winery, as it is the fastest way to Liyue. Yes, you were traveling towards Liyue yet again, maybe with a small stop at the Winery hoping to see a specific redhead, delivering some goods.
With a sigh you couldn’t help but replay the little chats you had with Aether, the other did leave quite an impression on you. The conversation wasn’t as awkward as the first time, as the two of you chatted about travels and a few personal things, which surprised you.
A pair of approaching footsteps brought you out of your thoughts, just as you turned around you spotted the person occupying your mind running towards you. Aether came to a scittering stop before you, his knees bent and his arms holding his body up, while he tried to catch his breath.
You waited for a second watching with slight amusement and curiosity, “Everything alright?” You finally asked, only to get a nod and a heavy sigh. Aether looked at you, after standing back up straight, a small smile formed on his lips. “I asked around where you went, only to hear you want to go back to Liyue again,” he finally explained his sudden appearance.
A small chuckle left your lips, as you looked at him. “Is that so? You wanted to say goodbye?” You asked genuinely curious about why he came after you. At your words, Aether seemed to slightly falter as he smiled sheepishly. “I wanted to see if you– might want some company– and I thought I would get out of some requests..” Aether said while scratching the back of his head.
You couldn’t help but laugh at the second, slightly quieter reason. Shaking your head, you slightly patted the smaller male on his shoulder, “I wouldn’t mind some company.”

Now that we've watched ghostfuckers, let's see what scenes in the trailer we haven't seen yet.
The cloaked figures. "We've got you surrounded!"
Tumblr media
The scene where they're trying to escape something. "Get ready for a life on the run gang!"
Tumblr media
The IMP gang being attacked by something that looks like a wrecking ball, in the hallway where IMP is located.
Tumblr media
Vassago in a courtroom, presumably something related to a trial of sorts. "Where is Stolas anyway? We need to summon him at once!"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Satan reveal, based on what we know from the courtroom background, coming from one of the backgrounds artists who accidentally put it in their portfolio, Satan appears to be the judge of the courtroom. "You're a disgrace."
Tumblr media
Stolas getting attacked by someone. Attacker has been theorized to be either Andrealphus or Paimon.
Tumblr media
Mammon giving someone the middle fingers, also appears to take place inside the courtroom.
Tumblr media
Andrealphus powers up and takes over Stolas' palace.
Tumblr media
Stella discussing something with someone in what looks like Andrealphus' palace.
Tumblr media
Octavia gets to show off her magic in cool visuals, and what is most likely a visual during a song. "You never loved mother and you don't love me. You love him!"
