A friend of mine a few states away had a pregnant female cat walk onto her porch and decide she lives now. She had 3 kittens. Since my friend/roommate @winterpower98 was looking for her first cat, we (other roommate/bestie, Winter/Gaia, and I) decided to take a trip down to visit and see if one of the kittens would work for her.

The thing is, she did fall in love with one! He's black with white markings, so the 6 year old had been calling him Eclipse. He's, curious, playful, and always trying to get into something. He loves Gaia. I mean LOVES her. And she loves him. Like... emptying her savings loves him.

Right before we arrived, our friend noticed a little lump on his belly. They thought nothing of it. And then, it got bigger. And bigger. And bigger.

After a week, we took him to a local vet to get checked out. He had a umbilical hernia. Luckily it stopped before his diaphragm, but the hernia was severe enough that he would need surgery to close it (a lot of articles talked about smaller ones closing on their own which is why we waited). He would also need special care for IBS symptoms and to keep his hernia from getting injured or obstructed before repair (which couldn't happen until he was big enough to go under anesthesia). He would need to come indoors for his safety and be separated from the others as his sisters pouncing on the hernia was causing issues (a week earlier than the 8 week mark).

I was honestly expecting Gaia to say it was too much for her to handle. Even told her that nobody would judge her for not being ready for that level of responsibility. That we could find an organization that could take him and get him the help he needed and find him a good home. He has two sisters she could consider, there were plenty of shelters back home with cats under a year old, and we could even check the town we were visiting and places on the way back home, so there were options. I knew how much it took to care for a kitten with health issues (my current cat required months of specialized care and there were plenty of scares along the way) and Gaia has no previous experience with cats outside of hanging out with our cats, so that's just starting on hard mode.

After a long serious talk on the responsibilities she was about to take on, she said she knew it would be hard but the thought of giving him up made her sick. That she would do whatever it took to give him a happy life for however long she has him. We aren't rich people, she's going back to college full time, she had only decided on him over one of his sisters that morning, and (again) this would be the first cat she has ever had. She went all in without a second thought.

The original quotes from various vets willing to do the surgery (not all vets can) were pretty insane, but luckily I found a non-profit that did the surgery for about half. My other roommate and I fully support her and chipping in what we can.

Eclipse is 8 week old and his surgery is scheduled in a month, but we are going to call in and check for cancelations since he's reached the minimum weight and age for anesthesia. Winter has been so busy caring for him that she's not had a chance to post about him, so I decided to do it on the drive home. I think the story is important because it raises awareness about an issue most don't know about and shows someone genuinely caring about a pet with special needs. As a disabled person who's went through a lot of ableism and survived abuse, it really hit me to see how much she loves him with her whole chest and doesn't ever approach his issues with anger or blame.

I don't ask for reblogs much, but I wanted to ask you guys to boost this. I linked Gaia's PayPal below if anyone wants to help take some of the financial burden off her, but you can also support her with messages and boosting this and her future post/s about Eclipse (cut her some slack guys, she's currently in tired new mom mode). Edit: Late thing to add on, but a few days after posting this my other roommate/bestie Sarah decided to adopt his sister! Her name is Melanite, but her honey eyes have earned her the nickname Miel. Her and Eclipse have always been very close (often laying on top of each other), so it's great that they'll get to stay together.

BUT, if you want my personal recommendations...

so, for starters, getting into illumina's content. namely, he's got a youtube channel (illuminaHD), which mostly features stream highlights (speedrunning), mcc highlights, and other miscellaneous minecraft gamplay. (oh, and a few world records!) he has a vods channel too, but it's run by his mods.

this is my Dream SMP application [Stream Highlights] / Probably my most watched highlights video of his, though they're all hilarious. General speedrunning fails and clutches, crafting shenanigans, funny commentary. All his highlight videos give a good sense as to what his streams are like!

the minecraft bingo/lockout series with SmallAnt - I challenged Minecraft's Best Speedrunner to a test of skill and Minecraft Lockouts Are Surprisingly Brutal.. / GREAT series. had me on the edge of my seat. the first video was uploaded to ant's channel, the second on illumina's, but illumina has the vods for both streams saved on a separate channel. i won't get into the twists, but... it was a ride.

Minecraft: fruitberries VS Illumina / Minecraft manhunts... everybody's heard of them. Well, this one was done with fruitninja over two years ago (wow!) Imagine being hunted across multiple dimensions but your assassin is really, really chill. Oh, and also with the expected cracked gameplay from a manhunt as well.

and as for my favorite streams...

Speedrun Showdown w/ Fruitberries VS Dani & Fireworkss (then 1.16 RSG) / So, speedrun showdown! This was the first time the tournament was hosted, which was almost two years ago. Currently, season two (?) of speedrun showdown is taking place, with the finals happening tomorrow! Charity event, super cool, two duos race to the end to kill the dragon. (Both Fruit and Illumina are participating in the 2022 run, but on opposite teams. Fruitninja aren't allowed to team very often. If you watch this vod, you'll find out why.)

Minecraft Championship 13! w/ Punz, Krinios, & Eret! / Classic. All-time favorite. There would be something wrong if this video didn't show up on my list. Illumina's first MCC win! Team vibes were great, they absolutely dominated (with one of the most nerve-wracking dodgebolts I've ever watched. Live!)

MC Championship 17 w/ fruitberries, Vixella, & Zeuz / Another staple. I think we crashed twitter when the fruitninja MCC team was finally announced. The "Unpopular opinion, but I don't think the Simmers are going to win MCC. They've been paired with Fruitninja, which is going to be difficult no matter how good they're going to be (/c)" copypasta was going around a lot. Another team with great vibes and another very close dodgebolt!

1 on Mouse, 1 on Keyboard w/ Illumina / Warning, I think you're going to notice fruitninja being a consistent trend with my recommendations! (This is all part of the fruitninja conspiracy, in which I try to get everyone to watch their content with my art. So far, my success rate is pretty high!) Fruit & Illumina are roommates and they did a stream where one person controlled the movement via mouse and the other person controlled the movement via keyboard. (Un)surprisingly, they actually did extremely well! Great fun, one of my favorites, bonus IRL content.

Diversity 3 Playthrough! / Illumina plays through a minecraft adventure map for almost ten hours straight. He parkours, he kills mobs, he participates in a space mystery adventure. It's all here. He even speedruns (kind of.)

Okay, onto miscellaneous! As I've mentioned before, celia has a youtube channel with fruitninja & illumina clips. Also, this video from Illumina's MCC 28 parkour warrior run made me laugh. And also this video on Fruitninja interacting in MCC 24. Uh, what else.. Illumina's latest MCC highlights video was really good (though I really also liked the full stream, which is up on his twitch but not his vods channel. Watch it while it's up, I guess!) And also the fruitninja Tubnet Craftmaster Showdown vod had its great moments (also on twitch. Fruit's POV of this event is also really funny, too.)

Ever after high AU info dump

Well with 39,1% the Ever after high au won the poll. It shouldn't surprise me as much as it did honestly.

While it's already a bit further than it's last concept it's not even close to being done, mainly due to me concentrating on other AUs. But to fill enough space and give you alot knowledge I give you an entire run down of what me and my friend, @ccaramel-candy have so far! I'm not exactly good with explaining what I want to say/ what ideas I have but I try my best.

Warning stuff:

One thing I want to get out of the bat is that the fairytales changed to make it more comfortable and less confusing. And so that everyone gets it and I don't get any complains: This is purely a Noco story. If you don't like the ship pls carry on!

Now with that out of the way let's get started:

This Au plays like ever after high in a school for fairy tale children. But instead of following Snow whites daughter, we follow this Aus Sleeping beauty's child Noelle (Noah in this AU is Trans ftm and is refereed at the beginning as Noelle (She/ her) and later into the Story as Noah (He/ Him). Just so you don't get confused) and how she handles school in general. Sounds easy but it isn't when everytime someone annoys you with something, be it your potential future prince charming, your roommate who has yet another problem or the school erupts into chaos because someone is making a problem. And all Noelle wants is being left alone to read. And the school year has just started!!!

General Info:

-The main character here is Noah and Cody as sleeping beauty and their prince charming (So it's a Noco focused story)

-Pretty much everyone is from Total drama or has a connection to Total drama (like OCs) Tho there are still some thoughts and planning to be made

-While everyone has their own rooms and roommates in their dorms the rules that are binded to it are a bit.... well they aren't clear to anyone in school.

-the school has somewhat a mind of it's own. It's not clear however if someone used magic on it or if it was always "alive".

-while the conflict between royals and rebels was clearer in the original ever after high, it only starts to get a real story point later on in this AU. But the conflict does start at the beginning already but more of a sub plot!

-Fairytales are definetly rewritten from their original source material for various reasons, but there are also changes due to other characters actions!

Character Roles:

There aren't many yet which might be because I don't think of this AU as much as I should to give everyone a proper fairytale role but this is who I have so far:

Prince charming = Cody

Belle = Edith (<- my OC)

Relationships:

The relationships with each other hopefully will be a big plotpoint how I intend to have it. This could also be confusing in some areas which either cause lack of context/ not much context or because I try to over explain this but I try my best!

Noelle:

While Noelle is the main protagonist, there aren't currently many relationships other than a few people. Not because I have no idea but because she wants to be left alone and read her books. However there are definetly 2 main people that are consistent:

-Cody the more overconfident prince charming, already setting his eyes on noelle as his destiny. He tries to get her to know her more so that later on their destiny doesn't come off as weird when cody has to kiss her awake.

-and Edith who is her current roommate, who brings a few problems pests pets to the table. Not exactly a thing allowed in school or the dorms but Noelle keeps quiet for her mainly cause it doesn't concern her (and a few petting sessions from time to time are actually nice).

Then there are also some minor ones, like Izzy who just wants her to join the crazy tea party's. Mike or rather specific Svetlana who drops by every 2 weeks to ask for a lipgloss both her and Edith share (Noelle is still confused why). Mimi also hangsout sometimes but more when Edith is with her. Then there is Owen. Defiantly somewhat friends but interact more in cooking class than exactly outside.

(I don't want to make this post all too long so I keep the relationship mainly to Noelle for now! I might make a seperate post for the rest I have)

I feel like I want to post, not a 'rewrite' of season 3, because I do like the story and how most of it played out, but like a few extra scenes or scene add-ons that we could have gotten if the episodes were at a more standardized run length. More to show some of the relationships or traits we get told about.

Specifically to establish the camp as a home for Ej when not in SLC. He was so busy that he felt almost like a prop with dialogue in some aspects. Like he knows these people, two of them are his best friends, some he admittedly hasn't had a lot of time to update with his current life, but still.

Maddox: flight delay, Val can't be in until tomorrow morning at the earliest. Dewey's rigging the lights.

EJ: you're going to spend 3 hours fixing those

Maddox: I know. When you're settled, stop by the office to grab your keys and badge.

Maddox: if you really need it, there's a rotary phone by the barn, and some of the CITs have a key to the drawer these are in, but we do try to avoid using them.

EJ: it's so she can get things set up in time. The stage for rehearsals needs to be prepared, waking up camp, prep work for activities in the week. She's been a CIT since she was like 13, at this point, she runs this place more than Dewey does.

EJ: a lot, I'm sorry there was so much going on at school and with college....

Val: you're fine, life happens. It was just radio silence for months then all of the sudden Maddox is texting me about some big mass apology for being a jerk and cheating and poisoning people? By the way, I don't think Maddox is going to let you borrow her keys to the pantry this year.

EJ: yeah that's fair.

someone  who  loves  her.  there  aren't  very  many  people  in  billie's  life  who  actually  want  what's  best  for  her.  a  lot  of  people  just  see  her  as  an  easy  target  to  walk  all  over.  but  this  person  really  does  care,  they  truly  love  her.  this  love  could  be  familial,  platonic,  romantic,  you  name  it  !  just  someone  who  truly  wants  her  to  be  happy  and  live  her  best  life,  whether  she  sees  that  or  not.  i  also  think  it'd  be  interesting  if  this  person  had  a  hard  time  saying  it.  i  like  the  idea  of  these  two  having  something  of  a  complicated  relationship  ?  (  i  imagined  this  as  cassandra,  due  to  their  familial  relationship,  but  again  .  .  .  literally  any  muse  could  work  !  )  like  there  is  obviously  love  there,  but  maybe  there's  resentment,  too  !  maybe  they  just  don't  know  how  to  exist  around  each  other  !

her  competition.  so  .  .  .  this  is  probably  completely  one-sided.  but  billie's  mentorship  with  avila  is  really  personal  to  her,  so  !  in  my  mind,  this  muse  is  someone  who  also  has  a  close  connection  with  him  and  billie  views  them  as  someone  who  threatens  her  place  in  avila's  life  !  of  course,  it  means  absolutely  nothing,  because  she's  not  going  to  do  anything  to  the  muse  .  .  .  she  probably  won't  even  get  mad  at  them  for  real.  but  there's  definitely  a  lot  of  jealousy  on  billie's  end.  hey,  it  could  even  be  a  mutual  thing,  the  muse  could  equally  be  peeved  at  billie's  idol  worship  of  avila  and  how  he  unknowingly  feeds  it.

her  twin  brother.  (  this  would  have  to  be  a  new  character  !  )  this  is  !  her  best  friend  !  there  is  no  one  in  billie's  life  that  she  loves  or  values  more.  he  also  got  into  daskalos,  so  they're  here  together,  and  they  are  very  close  !  she  gives  her  heart  to  everyone  who  makes  her  feel  safe  (  whether  that  safety  is  real  or  not  )  but  i  think  this  is  the  only  person  who  really  has  earned  that  in  her  life.  or  .  .  .  maybe  he  has  some  secret  agenda  !  maybe  he  resents  her  a  bit  !  idk  we  can  absolutely  make  this  dramatic  and  wild,  i  would  lose  my  mind  and  sell  my  firstborn  for  that,  but  my  initial  imagining  was  that  it's  the  purest  relationship  she  has.

study  buddy.  i  imagine  this  person  is  not  part  of  the  dionysia.  they're  just  another  student,  someone  that  she  likes  spending  time  with.  maybe  they  don't  talk  much  when  they're  together,  maybe  this  muse  is  the  only  person  she  bickers  with,  maybe  they  joke  and  have  fun  .  .  .  just  someone  who  is  separate  from  avila  and  all  of  that,  someone  that  she  just  spends  time  with  !  they  study  their  little  books  and  they  don't  worry  about  the  rest  of  the  world  !  i  imagine  she  also  feels  very  happy  and  safe  with  this  person,  regardless  of  how  they  spend  their  time  together.  they  just  give  her  good  feelings.

1) What made you ship it?

I love the idea of Max being one of the first people to expand Eleven's horizons and treat her normally/see beyond the fact that she has superpowers. The Material Girl Mall Scene is one of my favorite scenes in the entire show since it's just a good, fun time. Eleven's first taste of real freedom and fun. They also just compliment each other well since El's more softspoken whereas Max is more boistrous.

To be clear, I also hardcore ship Lumax, but Elmax just has something about it that makes me very happy.

2) What are your favorite things about the ship?

Again, the complimentary personalities and girls backing up girls. Also just... this. I don't know if this is just a normal thing, but I wouldn't get this cozy with my closest friends that I've known for fifteen plus years, let alone a few days.

3) What's an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Honestly I try to stay clear of ST shipping discussions so I don't know what's really a "popular" vs an "unpopular" opinion. Idk I'll just say that I think it's really close to or on the same level as Lumax (but again I loooove Lumax)

1) What made you ship it?

I mean, in my opinion it's very obvious that there's tension there. Will absolutely has a crush on Mike but can't say it, and Mike, bless his heart, is too fucking oblivious to realize that or that his own feelings for Will seem to go far beyond that of his other friends. Also just like... I love Will and the poor kid deserves to have something he really wants, even if he's not really sure how to cope with it.

2) What are your favorite things about the ship?

The best friends dynamic is cute, it's an idea that makes Will happy, and I love how every time, without fail, my roommate and I see any blue-and-yellow object(s), we call it "The Byler [Object(s)]. So my bike is the Byler Bike since it's blue and yellow and we always tried to get a blue bowl and a yellow bowl at the dining hall (one had the blue, one had the yellow) so we could have Byler Bowls. Byler brings people together.

3) Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I think I'll get sniped for like... any semi critical Byler opinion bc half-offense (as opposed to full or no offense) some of y'all are fucking crazy, so I'll just say one since I probably have a couple. Mike Wheeler doesn't deserve Will Byers because he gets too swept up in Eleven to understand that his friend is going through shit, which isn't condusive for a healthy relationship.

I have a lot of opinions on Mike and his relationships with Will and Eleven in general and I want to make it clear that I don't hate Mike, or anything close. I think Mike's just not quite emotionally mature enough to handle relationships yet, especially ones with so many complexities as Will and Eleven. I have/had the same problem, so I'm not chastizing him, I'm saying I'm the same way and I see the signs.

Mike's too tunnel-visioned on Eleven to give proper attention to Will, and this can coexist with the fact that Mike's just not the right one for El since I think he's tunnel-visioned on her abnormalities of her rather than the normalcies that should be celebrated, which is where Mileven and Elmax differ for me. In my opinion, Eleven wants as close to a normal life as she can get after all the shit she's gone through, and I don't think Mike really seems to understand that.

I don't wanna do a whole analysis post because one, this is just an ask game; two, many people with more knowledge on the subject have done this before me; and three, this is not my circus, not my monkeys, Stranger Things ships aren't my expertise, the Creels and HNL are.

But tl;dr, neither Byler nor Mileven are currently viable because Mike needs more time to mature and develop before he himself can understand what he wants. The kid's a freshman in high school dealing with supernatural world ending threats every few months, I wouldn't be able to function normally either.

You honestly don't need to go to college to get a good job. You can go through a contractor agency and get a office job and get paid at least $500 a week for something like data entry work. I dont see the point in going to college a getting a bunch of debt if you don't have to. I dropped out of college and was super depressed after and thats what i did. Im now 23 and make a cool $25 an hour, which is not bad for a single person with no kids.

Yeah that's a pretty good wage for 23! I'm turning 25 this winter myself (ugh). Sorry to hear college didn't work out though. I'm sure that was extremely stressful :(

I know it can be kind of varied, but as an American it's becoming the norm here to have a college degree that you actually can't do anything with. I used to have a neighbor who's son had a law degree and you know what he was doing for work? He was a waiter at Outback Steakhouse, still paying off his student loans

My mom never even finished college and she's still paying off her student loans at 56. Fun fact but when that whole coronavirus student loan forgiveness program was going on, it doesn't count if your loans have already been sold to a collection agency, which is where most student loans currently are, so even a lot of forgiveness programs tend to fuck you over. My mom was hoping she could finally be free of her student loans and she was told "nah sorry you're stuck with those forever". Like she's making payments over time but I think she told me that they gather interest faster than she can pay them so she's kind of just resigned to dying without ever paying them off which is Not Good

There's also a lot of studies and statistical evidence which suggests that American schools are more often than not lacking in quality education so it's also like. For the price of going to college here you could probably move to another country, buy a house there, and attend their free nationalized college.

Like shit I could go to trade school and learn how to do wiring or electrician work and I would make more than many teachers, cops, public service workers, EMTs. The American reality is that many specialized jobs really don't pay for shit anymore because we refuse to raise the minimum wage. The only wages that are increasing are for actually "unskilled" jobs where wannabe ceos and corporate mooks are answering emails in between checking Facebook. Shit one of my old roommates worked in IT (not an unskilled job, but this applies in context) and made something like over $200 an hour and there were many times where he would just. Literally not have anything to do. Most of the time he worked from home but when they required him to go into the office they kind of slacked off because they would have so few tasks a day and then once those were done they would have literal HOURS of free time.

And those are the people making more than I ever could in a lifetime. I resent it. I extremely resent it. Even though my roommate worked hard to get where he was, having multiple degrees and a long resume of everything from sushi chef to retail, he had rich parents to help him go to college and support him, and he spent his money like absolute shit. Him and his partner would move once every other year "just because they don't like living in the same place for too long, I dunno"

Meanwhile my ass who grew up in poverty and had to move because of not having money and being evicted just sitting there and hearing this like 😬😰😤

It's not that college doesn't work or anything but definitely in America it has become an extremely predatory process where you aren't even really guaranteed that it'll be worth it. I remember even little baby Weeb back in elementary school eventually started going "it doesn't matter what job I want because I'm not gonna be able to get it :)" though that may have been from... a childhood stocked with watching my mom lose job after job after job and not being able to find good ones, idk

A/n: I loved this request. It was really fun to write. Hope you guys like it.

    You were both in the fourth year when Oliver first asked you out. He had approached you quite confidently-you later learned he was horrified-in the library and asked you to accompany him to Hogsmeade. You had giggled and said,

“Only if we can go to Zonko’s, I have to prank my roommate.”

He had laughed and said he would go where ever you wanted and you had agreed. From then on you and Oliver had been practically inseparable, and now three years later your love for the boy had grown into something that suffocated you in the most amazing way.

You went to every one of his quidditch matches and he would always go with you to the library and study, you two sat together in every class you could and you even snuck into his dorms a few times, simply because you missed him, or vice versa. Everyone loved the two of you together, you were considered the Gryffindor power couple. Oliver; the captain of the quidditch team and you; one of the brightest and kindest witches in the school.

You were constantly helping people, whether it was with school work- you currently tutored 9 different students in 13 different subjects- pranks, you had helped the Weasleys more times than you cared to count on a new prank product or got them out of a prank gone wrong, or even dating, you had helped quite a few different girls and boys with dating especially around the time of the yule ball. You were the unofficial mom of the Gryffindor house.

But, Oliver was clingy. So you were faced with another very difficult decision that Oliver seemed to make for you.

“NO.” He said loudly to the first year in front of the two of you. You were currently laying on a couch in the Gryffindor common room Oliver's arms wrapped securely around your waist as he lay behind you, his head buried in your hair.

“Oliver, it will only take a second.” You offered, turning around to face him.

“You always say that when you're gone for an hour and I don't get to cuddle you.” He pouted, his lip stuck out as he widened his honey brown eyes in protest.

“Stop that.” You said sternly even though you were smiling.

“Stop what?” he asked feigning innocence.

“The puppy eyes, that's what.” You giggled.

“Please don't leave me.” He begged.

You sighed, “Fine.” He cheered as you turned around to the first year awkwardly standing there. “I'm sorry but my three-year-old boyfriend won't let me leave. Can I help you guys study tomorrow?”

“Yeah sure.” He smiled before retreating to a group of boys his age who had been waiting for him.

You turned around again laughing as you watched Oliver glare daggers at the poor kids retreating form. “You are three years old you know.” You said in a fit of giggles.

“I am not!” he gasped, clearly appalled, “Plus if I was, what we did last night was seriously illega.l” his smile widened when you let out a gasp similar to his previous one.

“You asshole!” You said slapping his chest, even though you couldn't stop a smile from creeping on to your face.

“You love me.” He smirked.

“God I do.” You said dramatically as you learned in placing your lips on his. The innocent kiss quickly grew more heated as he ran his tongue along your lips making you open your mouth in response. He explored your mouth with his tongue, running his hand through your hair as you pulled him close to you by the neck. He tasted like mint candy and chocolate. He moved so he was on top of you, placing his hand on either side of your head to keep himself from toppling down on to you. You kept your hands on his neck and once again pulled him towards you. He quickly re-connected your lips with a pressure that made you moan. You felt his lips smirk on yours as you continued to make out.  Unfortunately and much to Oliver's dismay you were interrupted by a loud cough. You both turned to see two disgusted red heads standing a few feet away.

“No.” Oliver said sternly leaning back down to kiss you.

“Eww please stop kissing its disgusting.” The younger of the two grimaced.

You sighed, “What's up guys.”

“We need your help.”

“No.” Oliver responded, glaring at the twins.

“We weren't asking you Wood.” Fred smirked, “We were asking the girl you are currently crushing, So y/n?”

“Can you guys get your own girlfriends to bother?” Oliver groaned.

“Why would we do that when we have yours to bother?” George smiled, “Y/n, please we really need your help, it will only take a few minutes, we have a new product but we don't know how to sneak it on to the Slytherin table.”

“And we were thinking you could work your magic with the house elves and swing us some favors.” The eldest finished, his eyes glinting mischievously

“Alright fine.” You sighed beginning to get up.

“Noooooooooooo.” Oliver whined.

“Oliver, it will only be a few minutes, I promise I will be right back.”

“No.” He repeated.

You rolled your eyes and moved to get up again but were stopped. Oliver dropped his hands holding him above you and lay directly on top of you with a grunt.

“Are you kidding me?” You asked laughing in amusement and disbelief, “This is a new low Wood.”

“You aren't leaving.” He said his voice muffled by your chest.

“Come on babe.” You sighed.

“Nope.” He answered, “Now Weasels, you can leave, thank you very much but Y/n is extremely busy.” He said nuzzling his head further into your chest.

You huffed. You tried to pry him off you but it was hopeless. You sighed once more before looking at the twins.

“Sorry guys, I'll help you later.”

“No, she won’t!” Oliver yelled from your chest.

“Its cool Y/n, we’ll see you when you get rid of that parasite.” Fred laughed.

Oliver raised his head from your chest to glare a the twins, “This parasite also controls what we do in practice tomorrow, so watch it Weasley.” he threatened.

The red-heads looked at eachother shrugged and turned to leave.

“You really are a three-year-old ya know.” you said as you ran his hands through his soft brown hair.

“I know,” He sighed wrapping his arms around you and nuzzling into your neck as you wrapped your arms around his own and running them back up to his hair. “I love you.” He mumbled as you massaged his scalp.

Sorry I didn’t answer them earlier; I decided answering asks on mobile sucks.  ALSO, this is going to be super long haha sorry.  1.  Tell us about your current project(s)  – what’s it about, how’s progress, what do you love most about it?       Well, my most current project is one I just started brainstorming. It’s (hopefully gonna be) a Fallout 3 series, with my latest fic being the starting point. LW/Fawkes is a ship I liked immediately when I played the series some years ago, but I never got around to writing for it, probably in part because there’s already a super good longfic about them, and I just didn’t think there was much else I could say. But my LW is different from Choco’s LW, and lately I wanted to start something self-indulgent. Although I have enough ideas for this to maybe be a single 30k fic, I’m choosing to do a series of shortfics instead, so that I’m not burdening myself with another long project. Fic series are great in that way, because it’s basically complete with every new fic.       On top of that, I have... probably 3 other things I want to make significant progress on this year. First is another Fallout fic: Same Heart. I’ve posted 8 chapters already and have almost 2 more done, but due to the slow-build nature of it (and my tagging) I don’t expect to have almost any readers until at least chapter 10 (when the ship characters finally meet). I’d like to at least get that far this year.       A project I’d love to finish by fall is the unreleased “The Wilderness”, a Venom zombie AU that I started for NaNoWriMo 2 years ago. It’s about 55% written, and my goal is to have as much of it done as possible before the sequel movie comes out. If it’s not done by then, I still plan to post whatever I have.       And lastly-ish, my novel... thing. Rogue. I’m in the process of editing it, although I’ve taken kind of a break lately. And as soon as I’m done with the edits and can get a couple of people to read it (just so they can tell me if certain parts are stupid and need changed) I plan to start the next book in the series... which will probably end up being book #1, actually, if I do them modern-era chronologically. It’s... gonna be a process. ^^;  2.  Tell us about what you’re most looking forward to writing – in your current project, or a future project.       In my upcoming FO3 fic series, I’m honestly just kind of weirdly looking forward to... how do I put this? Exploring my own vaguely-traumatic experiences through fic. I’ll always do a happy ending, if possible, but before we get there I really want to run these two through the ringer of... being given something they were led to believe was impossible, being judged for it, having it taken away, and then being told “well maybe it’s for the best”.       When it comes to future projects, I guess I’m really excited about writing the new Rogue book. “Reaper”, I guess, is its unimaginative working title. I’m anxious about it, because I thought Rogue had some really deeply emotional scenes, and I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to accomplish that as well with this new one, simply because the characters don’t have the same level of desperation about each other. I need to figure out what’s unique about their dynamic and push that. I guess I’m looking forward to the challenge.  3.  What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need? (consider this permission to write it and/or share it anyway)       Hmm gosh. Technically there’s a scene in the later chapters of Mobius that I already wrote, but it wouldn’t take place until probably chapter 3 or later, and I just lost all steam on that fic, sadly. But every time I poke through my notes I make myself cry reading it. It’s a scene where one character knows it’s going to be the last time he sees the person he loves most, and he can’t explain his pain to anyone. I really just want to get there so I can see if it makes other people cry like babies haha.       But on a completely unrelated note, there’s also this ZADR fic I started writing in like 2009, and I absolutely didn’t want to do the work to get to the fun middle scenes, but basically it was an AU where young adult Dib went to live/work in the thriving multi-species space community, where he’s... I dunno, studying alien biology I think?, and he ends up with Zim as a roommate. The scenes I really wanted to write were about the two of them getting into like a bar fight with some tough types, and Zim gets his pak ripped off/damaged in the process, and Dib has to sort of take care of him through a horrible fever. But then it turns out that the pak was not a life-support system like they thought, but actually a growth inhibitor so they (the people in charge of the Irkens) could choose who became the Tallest (the leaders). (And also it hindered reproduction, etc.) So basically the two of them accidentally start to unravel a galactic conspiracy which also involves corruption in the Earth government, etc, and Zim gets taller but spoiler alert, he still doesn’t get tall enough to challenge the Tallest lol. Sadly, I doubt I’ll ever actually write that fic. Sounds like too much effort lol.  7.  What do you think are the characteristics of your personal writing style? Would others agree?       That’s such a hard question. Ummm. How do I put any of that into words? ...I think one of the things about my writing is that a lot of the time nothing really happens in a scene, and the story mostly focuses on a character thinking. Like, enough happens so there’s something for them to think about, but I think I tend to put a lot of emphasis on POV character’s thoughts, to the point of sometimes seeming stream-of-consciousness. I’ve been told that this makes my stories feel alive though? So I think it appeals to some people, though I’m sure others would find such stories boring.       Oh also, somewhat along these lines, I like to add commentary that is only somewhat relevant, usually in parenthesis at the end of a sentence or paragraph. (Honestly, it’s not unusual to see one in every paragraph if I’m writing something slightly humorous.)  9.  Are you more of a drabble or a longfic kind of writer? Pantser or plotter? Do you wish you were the other?      I would LOVE to write primarily longfics! However, I just don’t have the time or energy for it, and I don’t write fast enough. So I end up with a lot of oneshots under 10k. I had to challenge myself to learn to write short things though, and then it’s really about writing something short, not about writing a specific story.       Generally, I’m both pantster and plotter. I tend to write the first chapter/few scenes/maybe as much as 10k, just by the seat of my pants. After that, I look at what I’ve got and write out a plot to continue from there. Plotting everything out before I start just doesn’t work for me, but if I try “pantsing” anything longer than 15k I know I’m gonna have an absolute torturous hell of a time.  13.  Do you share your writing online? (Drop a link!) Do you have projects you’ve kept just for yourself?      Lol I think anyone who’s reading this knows I share my stuff online. Primarily on my AO3, though there’s some other stuff floating around here on tumblr too.  Most of the time if I keep something to myself it’s only because it’s not finish enough to share. So, sure, there’s plenty of that, but the goal is always to share it eventually. If I ever get around to finishing a novel, those will probably be the only things I don’t just post online. (Though I do post most of my OC stuff currently.)  17.  Do you think readers perceive your work - or you - differently to you? What do you think would surprise your readers about your writing or your motivations?       I think that inevitably my readers will always perceive me and my writing a bit differently than I do. That’s just... interacting with people. Nobody knows you entirely. However, I am as open and honest in my writing as possible, and I actually think that reading my fic is the best way to get to know me. I like to hope that I am an open book to anyone who has read many of my words. =] While you may not know the details of my life, I think you would have a good insight into my personality.    23.  What’s the story idea you’ve had in your head for the longest?       Like... my oldest fic/story that I’ve never written or posted? Not counting stuff I’ve consciously abandoned (things from middle school, mostly), my original fic series, “Damsel and Company in Distress” aka DamselCo. is definitely my oldest story. I think I started fiddling with it in 2006-- which makes it pretty disappointing that it’s gotten next to nowhere. XD; But the story is my baby, and it’s been my baby for so long that anyone who’s followed me ever is probably at least vaguely familiar with a few of the characters.  Now maybe one day I’ll actually give it the attention it deserves, though I’m sure it’ll need significant revamping. After all, a lot has changed in 14+ years. Ideas that were new and subversive then are probably already stale.

I knew this was going to happen 😅 Well I don't actually talk in depth about myself or my practice on here (mostly because that requires a decent amount of spoons and I'm tired), so here we go.

Answers for the Witch-Mom:

8. How do you define your craft?

Geez, getting right into it then, aren't we? On the days I feel like subscribing to labels, I consider myself an eclectic witch with a lot of different influences (the influences being separate from, but not necessarily different than my interests). One of my primary influences in my craft is Kemetic paganism and Heka (the magic of Ancient Egypt). For me that means my paganism is often very intertwined with my witchcraft and I call on my deities, my guides, my ancestors for just about every spell I do. I'm also interested in green and herbal magics, and those are becoming a large influence in my craft as well now that I'm starting to study herbalism and plant folklore. At the same time, I have an interest in death magic and spirit work, but it doesn't (currently) influence my craft.

26. What got you interested in witchcraft?

So that's actually kind of a funny story (and a long answer)! I could say the usual line of "well as a child I was always interested in fairy tales and magic and pretty rocks", which would be true, but that's more because I liked the escapism and the pretty rocks were pretty. But what got me actually started in looking at witchcraft as a path for my life happened a few years ago (yes, I'm one of those people who found witchcraft during COVID). I honestly don't remember why I was listening to a witchcraft podcast, other than I was bored and unemployed in quarantine.

As I was listening, I kept nodding and going "yeah, uh huh, that makes sense." And I had this thought that maybe I could be a witch. So I asked my roommate at the time, who was a witch but didn't practice anymore (she's gotten back into it since then), and then I asked this other girl I kinda knew through mutual friends, like "hey, you're a witch right? Explain it to me, I think I'm interested". And then she adopted me and became my Witch-Mom and now she's sending me all these questions in my ask box. Oh wait....

31. What is something you wish someone had told you when you first got started?

Hmm. Probably that I can slow down and go at my own pace, whatever that is. Maybe it's the self-diagnosed ADHD, but I get so interested in so many things, and I always feel like I have to learn "all the things" before I can move on to the next topic of study. But it's okay to just learn and ingest bite-sized pieces of knowledge on a topic for as long as it interests you, then put it down and move on to the next thing. Witchcraft knowledge is like an all you can eat buffet: it never ends, and you can try a little bit of this and a little bit of that, and you're always able to come back for more.

51. Have you ever had any supernatural experiences?

Not so much "supernatural", no. Partly because I grew up having to tamp all of that down to fit in, and in part because I actively avoided things that didn't make sense or scared me as a child. That being said, there's definitely the possibility that I've had some small experiences that I managed to pass off as completely normal without realizing it.

61. What is something witch related that you want right now?

You're only asking this because my birthday is this weekend, aren't you? Something I want that's witchy would be more books! Specifically ones on either witch history or with a variety of spells to pull from now that I'm leading the weekly group gatherings and have to do all the planning and research.

Oh, and crystal jewelry or tarot decks!

70. What are your favorite things about being a witch?

I love how much being a witch has allowed me to just be myself. The self-empowerment and confidence that I've built in the past few years has been amazing. There are no rules to witchcraft (outside safety and appropriation), so I can do what feels right to me, be who it feels right to be. Which is not something I see a lot of outside of witchcraft.

But I also love that being a witch gave me a community again. And now I have so many friends and people I can talk to and learn from.

83. Do you have a pre-ritual ritual?

I don't do a lot of ritual work per-se (I'm actually really shit at remembering to do spells unless I really really need them). But I like to take a shower and be clean before doing anything big, to help me be in a good mindset. I also like just creating a vibe for any workings, so I'll light all the candles, some incense, turn on some good music, etc.

Ty was frustrated. It was two hours before him leaving the LA Institute for a whole year. Everything was ready, he didn't need to worry about anything. Also, he was going to the Scholomance, which is the best place he could ever dream of. The only reason which got him frustrated was the fact, that there will be many people, no Livvy and no Julian. By many people, he means bigger chance for someone to hate him. It was always risky for him to meet new people.

"Ty, are you ready?" He heard his brother's, Mark's voice from downstairs. "We were thinking about going to the beach one last time? Would you like that?"

It surprised Ty a bit, because he wasn't ready for a journey, though that didn't mean he was against it. It actually seemed a pretty good idea.

"Yes, I'm coming in a minute." He answered. He had just one last thing to do before going. There was just one tiny detail he didn't tell his family about. Well, it probably wasn't that little. He started messaging a current student in the Scholomance and they're kind of friends now. It's no big deal. He just needed to send the last message which was ready for this exact occasion, saying that he's finally on his way there.

After he pressed the send button on his phone, he started down the stairs immediately.

"Hey, what's going on, Mr. Smiley Face?" Dru teased him as he arrived at the door. He was, in fact, smiling. This was just a tiny side affect of him messaging the Scholomance student. It always put a huge smile on his face.

"Nothing, can we go now? The last thing I want is arriving late because my little sister was annoying." He was getting better and better at these situations. Now, he knew how to snap back at Dru as a joke and make the conversation's subject change if he wanted it to.

"Yeah, this way." His sister replied.

As it seemed, they threw a little party kind of thing for him. The party kind of thing is where they seem like they're celebrating but there aren't many people, just family. As always, family isn't just the Blackthorns, but Cristina, Kieran, Diana and Gwyn too. Emma counted as a full Blackthorn, not only by her new last name but also because she was always with them.

The gathering was interesting for Ty because they did his favourite things. Listen to music, dance (it was one of his newer hobbies), and talk a bit. Everyone told him that they were glad he finally has the chance to fulfill his biggest dream though they'll miss him. It sounds a bit cliche but it felt good for Ty to hear it.

He finally feels like he's ready. He stands alone in his new room. He could choose which one he wanted to stay and because already all of them was used by at least one person, he decided on the one where his friend stays. He doesn't even know his name yet. He is currently in chemistry class so he has no idea yet that they will be roommates.

He was just unpacking his bags when he steps into the room. He has bright reddish hair and light blue eyes. He seems around as old as Julian, maybe a bit younger. Currently, he's wearing faded blue trousers, a deep green shirt and a brown coat. Books in hands, he looked at Ty.

"Hi, I'm Tiberius Nero Blackthorn. I just arrived a few minutes ago and they said I could stay at any room so I chose this because you wrote you stay here and I didn't want to be with complete strangers." Ty said, a bit nervous though he didn't know the reason of it.

"Oh, of course, hi. My name's Wylan. Hope you'll have a good time here." His face lit up as he said it. Wylan. It seemed a pretty good name for Ty. Probably it'll become one of his favourite words.

Wylan still remembers the first day he met Ty. It was one of his hardest days according to school, so technically according to the whole day since school is the only thing that matters at the Scholomance. Meeting his friend was a good surprise though. He knew that he would arrive at that day but seeing him right after his two hour exam it was an amazing distraction to show him around.

Today, they were working on a type of portal which could help Dru and Ash keeping in touch. It was a kind of portal that didn't need a warlock to open. It was like a small purse, and whenever they threw it, it would open. It was tied to Dru and Ash, so it wouldn't matter where they are (Seelie Court or Shadowhunter Academy) they could get to each other in a second.

Ty was the one who did the research, of course, because Wylan couldn't really read. Also, being in a higher year, be had less classes so he could do the more boring experiments through any time in the day alone. They discussed the new informations they got hold of that day in the evening in their room. It was a good type of relief, working with Ty at the end of each day. Wylan had classmates who he didn't like that much so he was glad his roommate was similar to him and they could talk. Also, they sometimes even talked about boys. Wylan remembers when Ty accidentally came out to him. He was just talking about his past life with his family and mentioned Kit a lot of times. Like, a lot. Really, in every sentence. And then, when Wylan asked about him, he admitted that he, does, in fact, love that boy. This happened around one week after Ty arrived. Actually, Ty had quite a few boyfriends since he arrived which was just three years before. He even got popular because of his intelligence and looks. He dated Alex, Victor, Benji, Arthur, Henry and Anush too. The last one lasted quite long, in fact.

"How are you?" Ty asked, stepping into their room.

"Hard day. You?" Wylan knew that Ty liked talking about his day, and discussing the confusing things. Today, Ty told him the story of an invitation from Devon. It was to Cristina, Mark and Kieran's wedding. The letter said he could bring a date too.

"Who will you bring?" Wylan asked curiously.

"I was thinking about going with you, if you want. Not like a date of course, just introducing my best friend to my family" Strangely, it never occurred between them that they should date. They were too good as friends, it wouldn't work. It wasn't that Ty didn't find Wylan handsome. He, in fact, was confused about his feelings a bit in the beginning because he found the older bit gorgeous but now he knew that it wasn't romantic love.

"Oh, thanks, I'd really like that." Wylan had this smile where it lit up his whole face. Now, this smile covered his face.

Their evening continued the way it always did, with their comfortable and easy working method. When they went to bed, Wylan felt happier than in a long time.
