favorite thing about them: flowey's role as a player foil/mirror! if you've followed me for a while you likely know i'm obsessed with undertale's meta elements, and flowey's execution as a character concept is a good 90% of that. he really sells the entire game. also go watch andrew cunningham's what was so good about UNDERTALE anyway and Experience Autism. oh and jacob geller's Time Loop Nihilism for more flowey reset adjacent topics that make me lose my goddamn mind.

least favorite thing about them: iii don't think there is? like i said, he's a fantastically executed character. maybe i wish he was a bit more visibly involved during the story? just because he's fun to see onscreen. but that would take away from him as a narratively defiant character, and it's also really fun to speculate on his time in the underground from what little information he lets through. so uhhh nothing he's perfect and i love him so much BECAUSE of the atrocities <3 love and light

HOWEVER. maybe the memories from his time as Asriel, feeling everyone's emotions through their souls... well, let's say it's a bit less sharp than it was originally.

I absolutely loved playing this fangame, it was super nostalgic and felt just like playing Undertale again... So of course, having enjoyed it so much, I drew a bunch of fanart, like, a lot, and I'm going to share it! I'll upload the W.I.Ps and sketches first, then post the completed, digitized/colored pieces later on. Pretty sure everyone's heard about this bird lol ;). Its the loveable bird nerd from undertale yellow, martlet! she's probably up there in my top 3 favorite characters in this game, her osts slap, and she's just such a lovely character with an incredibly fun design to draw, I love her to bits and her moemnts in game were fantastic...also she made me cry a lot:( but still :D. martlet ftw! best bird!

I LOVE I WON'T SAY I'M IN LOVE IT'S SO VHAGSJDHSGSJDHD it's The Love Song Ever to me (and it really relates to Agatte's hesitation over pursuing 🌑 after what happened between her and ☁️ (<-yes I'm speaking in code now) since she thinks she's falling into the same traps of trying to Fix Him)

The UTDR songs are honestly just to try and figure out what the characters vibes are but some of them do kinda have deeper meanings (same for Omori). Like the contrast between the Deltarune song Girl Next Door and the Undertale song Finale for Agate is very intentional, it's meant to show how at the same time she's just a girl but also a beast in combat (sorry I'm rambling about my song choices again agdhahdhhds)

I'd argue angst and fluff are tied, with crack being second only because I don't actually know how to write it intentionally (or more accurately, if the thing I write is even funny at all), but if I had it my way, it'd be a three way tie because I love all of them so much and it's fun to write for all of them when I can

And then there's smut—as mentioned before, I'm personally uncomfortable writing it, not to mention I don't even know how to 💀

🍇 Is there a particular scene/episode/book/etc that you want to just write a million fics about, over and over? Which one?

Oooh, this is an interesting one...I'm not fully sure if there's a specific one off the top of my head, as I just go with vibes and ideas out of the blue for the things I write

Though I guess Casita's fall scene and my love for the cool sisters spawned that one time travel au I thought about with how the two older cool sisters get sent back to the past after going back for Mirabel as Casita falls and protecting her, but I haven't made any progress with it recently

I also have this funny thing when I enter a new fandom, I sort of have a rite of passage every time of me thinking "is it possible to throw these characters into the underground of Undertale?" that tells me I'm really in deep in a media, hence why the Encanto Undertale AU exists right now

And on a more general note, anything that I'm hyperfixated on will usually always have ideas zooming in and attempting to form, like Encanto is right now

Case in point: my 235 page document of a (super super) self indulgent Encanto AU I'm planning right now (when will Mic ever shut up about this AU? Who knows!)

Nothing was blatanly explained I don't think in either games, and I think the idea that their genders were up to interpretation spread like wildfire through the fandom. But even with the whole thing of learning Frisk is their own person in Undertale aside from the player and Chara, that's also having to do with being nonbinary I think? Even Toby has said they're an androgynous kid. Several other characters in UTDR are also nonbinary, but some people use Toby's accidental pronoun mistakes as proof that they AREN'T enby.

Hey, if you don't accept and respect the fact that Frisk, Chara, and Kris go strictly by they/them, either get out from the rock you're hiding under or don't interact with me at all if you don't agree.

They use they/them strictly in Undertale and Deltarune. This does not mean their genders are up for interpretation. They are non-binary. Why would so many characters refer to them so many times with these pronouns if they weren't?

1) I have a rather interesting ability I've been using for a very long time. I can pretty much gauge people's moods and thoughts in a very short period of time, something I've used in the past to cheer up friends, or guide others. I enjoy assisting other people and its a reason my OC is a therapist as I can assist without taking over and let them tell their own story with just a little assistance where needed.

2) I'm admittedly a bit of a research buff when it comes to things I like. I know most of the main Au versions of undertale for instance, but I also memorize maps like the pizzaplex for my own use. Even going so far as to checking areas left in the game programming and not utilized. The medical center for instance is was chosen to be placed between daycare and the pirates cove area of the Atrium, and the corridor linking the two does exist in the game. There is even an area leading off to an unfinished office area, which became the medical center.

3) A good headbop of a song.

4) Petting my kitten.

5) Eating some good food and relaxing. (Food coma ftw).

6) Rain. Its relaxing to listen to, and helps destress you if you stop worrying about being wet and just enjoy the sensation. (Obviously not in winter)

7) Good views in nature. Its just the hiking up there I don't like so much.

8) Seeing the creativity some people have, and watching their passion for it grow

9) Silly little thought ideas. Avi and I regularly are like.... How would the glamrocks react to this scenario?

10) Logically planning ideas out, and incorporating ideas into scenes that make sense. (This is so satisfying)

Hiveswap Theory/Speculation about the “Cultists” 🛸

I am running on around 4 hours of sleep, but I came up with a quick little theory about the “cultists” in Hiveswap! I based this mostly on looks/outfits we’ve seen main cast of Homestuck in and the way the characters moved in the gif.

I don’t have much justification for my guess as to who Carnie is, but my first point sort of ties Carnie and Baby together!

For starters, obviously a toddler or small child could manage to walk along side (presumably) adults. Though the placeholder name “baby” can suggest that this member is the youngest and/or newest of the cultists, look at the animation (not sure if you can see this on tumblr mobile, I got this gif off The Cutting Room Floor site) in how Baby seems to move with Carnie. This suggests that they’re holding hands or that Carnie is carrying them around like a doll.

For the sake of shortening this post, please look up “Juju” on MSPA wikia. Read up on characters and anything else if needed!

I know I’m getting a little side tracked and my writing isn’t the most organized, but Carnie could also be a shortened term referencing the word “Carnival” perhaps.

Edit: I googled the term and I’m definitely second guessing my ideas as to who Carnie is though we also know Dirk and Gamzee kind of have a connection through Lil Cal; so, be it Dirk or someone else (new or old characters), this seems to be involved with the “Dark Carnival.”

TLDR Baby is likely Lil Cal or a similar looking Juju. Head shape when a hood is being worn should be taken with a grain of salt, but between the animation of Baby and Carnie imo Baby seems to move like a doll or mannequin of some sort. I based my original character guesses (in the first image) about Carnie off of who was around Lil Cal the most, though this character could also be just some juggalo or troll who’s horns broke due to some sort of incident. We know troll horns can break as is Equius’ right horn is broken.

The Dark Carnival isn’t a new concept in Homestuck and it would be interesting to see that bit of lore make its way into Hiveswap/Hauntswitch. Perhaps we will get some more explanation for that part of the Homestuck universe! 🎡

As for King, I hope I’m not the only one seeing troll horn shapes in the hood? Unless someone’s hair is somehow that stiff and solid, I’m going to assume those are troll horns!

My initial guess was that this is Karkat due to the horn size, but other trolls have been seen with small horns before such as Nepeta; so, this could really be any troll! My other more solid reasoning as to why this could be Karkat is a King is a kind of leader figure, someone who leads the rest of the team and we know from the various Homestuck media that Karkat becomes a leader (Commander/Comrade Karkat FTW). Going off my initial guess of Carnie being an instance of Dave Strider also lead me to believe that this small-horned leader troll is Karkat.

The Dark Carnival idea does seem a bit more likely now after looking up “Carnie” on google and remembering Homestuck lore about how the purple blood trolls seem very interested in Juju; so, again this could be any troll, but I took some time out of my day to think this theory up! Obviously I’m going to see it through!

I’ve got nothing for Sci, though the lights flickering around them are interesting (not sure if that’s intentional or not) and I wanted to jokingly say Sci is Sans Undertale, but I’ll hold off on the memes! 💀

Perhaps Sci is an information dealer of some sort or is very good at gathering intel? Google wasn’t much of a help here either! 😤 If anyone finds anything about any of the placeholder names and how they could relate to Homestuck please put it in the notes or even a reblog and I’ll add it to this theory post!

I wanted to say “Sci” when you say it out loud sounds similar to “Psiioniic,” but I may be pronouncing these words incorrectly and trying to make something of nothing (even though that’s how theories like these usually work). If there’s a connection here though, the lights floating around this Sci individual would make some sense! 🐝⚡️

Could also be a scientist or chemist working among the cultists! 🧪

As for “Fashionista,” my original guess was based on the theory I had about these people being instances of the original Homestuck crew due to Hiveswap Friendsim connecting to the main story through Pesterquest and by proxy connecting to the Epilogues and just all of Homestuck!

Jade Harley was my first guess because she’s the only one I could think of with no horns and long hair! She didn’t always have dog ears and clearly we don’t know everything about the Hiveswap instance of the Homestuck universe! Pa (Jake English) got together with someone outside the main cast and had children (who he took very poor care of seemingly). Roxy is a babysitter for some reason? Also we have yet to see Jane or Dirk have some sort of instance in the Hiveswap timeline aside from Ultimate Dirk being nosy as Hell.

The Dark Carnival idea seems most likely to come true at this point even though that leaves the identities of our cultists as a mystery. 🎡

Purple Blood trolls have been known to brainwash other trolls before though; so, my theory isn’t completely out of the realm of possibility! 🧠 Kurloz mind controlling Meulin and (not sure if I’m remembering correctly) Gamzee was a subplot that never got explored and is still a loose plot thread in the Homestuck universe! Perhaps purple blood trolls can also brainwash humans?
