This is not the fully fleshed theory post on iomt but more of a starting point. I am just extracting my google doc on here so that 1) i can remember to edit it and 2) maybe people will see it and talk to me about it. so here we start with some bullet points about my scattered thoughts:

atp the falling chandeliers must mean something. not only are they in the mvs, they are also part of the actual stage now

the recurring theme of making money in the songs/mvs and the need to make money winning over their desire to follow their dreams in the diaries. it's just that while "work" caricaturizes it "iomt" goes with a darker criticism

the chandeliers, dust and ashes, broken piano and dinner tables decorated with candles draw parallels to answer and halazia

other halazia parallels: the tendency for arson, destruction of art, a seemingly more in control yunho and hongjoong more removed from the group

the broken mirror: a crooked version of themselves, the greed for money at the expense of passion and art is the opposite of the original ateez. the mirror appears on the d-day poster and also in hongjoong's first part

The white towel turning black: we first await the good, usual ateez we know and love. The towel turning black might mean that this is not the case and now we are face to face with the crooked version in this MV.

return of the ruby, which is probably badly handled by wooyoung (may be the cause of this crooked mirroring): we don't know the exact functioning of the ruby, now named Sopro, and all foreshadowing shows that things won't go well when wooyoung hastily and drunkenly uses it

tic-tac-toe: in the MV we see a tic-tac-toe game in tie in the room Jongho is in, previously mentioned in seonghwa's mini-rap (speaking of which, someone help me with the meaning of the "engrave the 3 letters of my name in this game" lyric). in the mini-verse created since gh1 it may symbolize the battle between passion and money: without money they won’t be able to live and realize their dream but without chasing their passions there will be no meaning to their survival. the black/gray cat walking around may symbolize woo who is trying to find a way out

the mansion well matching the description of yeosangs mansion

there are also parallels drawn between ateez and z with the mention of mingi’s ads

overall, feels like a new, older version of ateez trying to destroy their old image

also reinforced by jongho not being able to listen to their first song and the chaos that comes after they finally listen to it as a group: bitterness towards the past and the failure of their lives

golden hour is not about appreciating the moment they are in anymore: they are nostalgically reminiscing about the golden hour that passed them by and carry more or less some bitterness about not having been able to utilize it. they could not treat the trauma within the 60 minutes they had (make it as artists after having returned to world a before money ran out) and now have to lead imperfectly put together lives

The MV probably takes place in the aftermath of the diary. In the diary, Yeosang is the only one to explicitly go against Woo when the matter of trying again comes up, all the others either play along with woo or don’t say anything. In the MV, yeosang is shut up by Yunho and San chimes in with the “little bird over there has a lot to say”. By creating an alternate reality using Sopro, Woo may be making everything fit “as he would like” (things don’t seem to go in that direction) and Yeo may be trying to speak up but is pressed down by Sopro/other members under the influence of Sopro.

at the end of crazy form we see the cromer broken and sopro taken away by the blue bird. we see both of these in yeosang’s mansion since he took them in when nobody cared. in halazia, it is yeosang who sings about the little blue bird. again, in iomt mv he has parallels to a little bird. throughout the lore, yeosang has already been likened to a bird but at this point i don’t think it is crazy to say that the blue bird directly symbolizes yeo.

WHERE ARE WE IN THE LORE

parallel to second half of fever first diaries, crisis happens, shit goes to shit, new artifact appears and we are left at the cliffhanger right before the adventure

after this: crisis unfolds, probably back to a world seen before (very likely halazia since it is left little discovered and with many mysteries), crisis ends along with the entire plot (probs another 5-6 years to go if we don't count military service)

on a personal note: i feel like we are being a little stalled. the "work" mv seemingly doesn't enhance the plot at all unless we take it as a dream sequence of the members' in world a and a lot of time is put into explaining the members' lives than actually creating action in both golden hour diaries. even when given the chance in the Sopro room Yunho still doesn't mention his archeological finding in gh1 and further the plot in that direction.

CHESS PIECE THEORY EXTENSION

For the people that don't know, there is a theory on twitter that suggests the members each symbolize chess pieces. I think it is a very smart theory and is reinforced in the MV with Mingi playing with bedazzled chess pieces. To sum it up, the Ateez in the MV are the black pieces and we get this idea from the concept photo where each member mirrors their counterpart except for HJ and SH, who are the king and the queen. I have taken the theory and kinda did a bit of research to make more sense of it.

YUNHO AND MINGI (ROOKS)

Rooks are strongest when they protect each other (even sitting next to each other on the plane may foreshadow something). The rooks protect each other by being positioned along the same line. In the rook doubling strategy, one of them charges ahead while the other stays one line behind for protection. For successful attacks, the rook must go far in enemy territory to either take pawns down or restrict movement

Usually not used in the early game, starting the mv off with Yunho is a bold move. It either means they have a unique strategy they are so sure of, or they are making a very bad choice very flashily

The rook pawn openings are considered to be one of the worst openings in chess

Rooks are defensive pieces, putting them at the forefront (letting them take leader roles) is not exactly smart

In the MV the leadership role belongs to our rooks (mafia leader Mingi and Yunho being seen in leader positions and shutting Yeosang up in front of the press)

Mingi and Yunho also take part in a lot of action (the middle of the board). Mingi goes around with a clique of “pawns” as their leader, sets the furniture on fire, and breaks the car window. Yunho also is seen with a lot of pawns and is the one who interacts with the doctor.

SAN AND JONGHO (KNIGHTS)

The knight is a master of surprise, and can hop in and out of the most unexpected locations. (i sure as hell was surprised with san in the mv)

Best positioned in the center

the knight is sometimes vulnerable to being trapped if it runs out of squares -> possibility of (very likely san) being trapped in enemy territory or in the middle of battle -> either miraculously and riskily gets saved or pulls a sacrifice

Very risky to move along the edge of the board (aka, isolate or distance from action)

WOOYOUNG AND YEOSANG (BISHOPS)

Many, many possibilities to use them, we are not yet privy to Woo and Yeo’s exact roles

Except… they are usually not held in the center for long. In the choreo Wooyoung takes the center position often

SEONGHWA (THE QUEEN)

Mostly offensive, weak in defense, must be protected by others

Especially vulnerable when brought out too soon

A lost queen is almost as bad as a check

In the MV, SH is mostly surrounded by pawns (the ballerinas), a fitting protection

HONGJOONG (THE KING)

Castles protect the king the best

In the MV we see him isolated. Except for group sequences and a quick shot (related to the group sequence), HJ is seen totally alone in obscure corners of the villa. This is good for the protection of the king, but also means there is no one protecting the king. We can take Wooyoung the bishop as his protector if we take the black and white photos flashing in the MV into consideration.

A side note: The Ateez in the MV are the black pieces, however a lot of the “pawns” we see are white with just black masks. This has to symbolize something. I don’t know what.

Another side note: I think the white pieces they are playing against are the "normal" ateez we've known from the start. The real black pawns are all dressed in suits, which is a very classic symbol for capitalism, while the white pawns that have black masks are all artists or sports players (the tennis army). the white towel turning into black (expectation of seeing the "normal" ateez refuted by being met by the "crooked" ateez) may also be a nod to this. A very big stretch, i know, but in some occasions in halazia world mvs we see an overpowering theme of white on the members' costumes

in halazia mv, woo and san are shown in all white for their dance sequence. parting from theirs and mingi's costumes i take this entire look, which is predominantly white, as a canonical part of halazia

in "it's you" and "matz", the trapped versions of the members also wear predominantly white/light colors

gutmouth: horror-mystery tale set in a sleepy old connecticut town. key characters include a shape-shifting neckbeard, a shock-rocker with removable skin, a milfy snuff artist, and a handful of normies. edgy, gory, and comedic with some nsfw themes. might become a webcomic!

jude’s monster mash (working title): my little sandbox where i play around with public domain old horror literature characters. mush them around like clay and make them sexy. my dracula is chubby and he’s sexier like that. anachronistic, episodic, and mainly here for the old film aesthetics.

fritz and rita: follows a depressed junkie vampire and a stab-happy biker chick as they drift aimlessly and bloodily across the U.S. in the early 90s.

*horror story name placeholder*: a series of horror vignettes set in a rural small town in idaho, from the POV of a young girl.

crown of tides: a mostly kid-friendly adventure story set on the open ocean. featuring a chosen-one kid protagonist, a sad old drunk, fish-creature pirates, and vengeful sea nymphs.

calamity watch: a very loose concept for a superhero team, filled to the brim with comic book cliches. not something i’m taking too seriously, plot-wise. will absolutely sell the characters to a major comic publisher if they ask.

infernal agents [DEFUNCT]: an old and very extensive story i once had about a supernatural detective agency; accounted for a huge chunk of my ocs back in the day. a lot of these characters are now either being incorporated into my remaining headworlds as i see fit, or put in creative storage.

In Touch Bible Study Notes "More Than Pausing" 06/19/2024

"Have you ever wondered how to wait? How do we actually accomplish this, waiting patiently on the Lord? We need to be active while we wait, not just twiddle our thumbs until we recognize God's work. And how can we best emulate the "man after God's own heart"? It may seem counterintuitive, but waiting often involves action. The pause sometimes feels quite long, especially if you're waiting for an answer before moving forward. But there are things both we and the Lord can actively accomplish in the interim. For our part, we should talk to God through prayer about our concerns, dreams, and desires. In the stillness and tension of waiting, we must also read His Word diligently to learn more about His character and love. While we seek the answers, care, and encouragement we need from Him, we develop patience and grow as our faith is strengthened and stretched. During this time of actively waiting, we begin to see what God does. Like David, we will be lifted from a pit, given a firm place to stand, and receive a new song to sing. Waiting is so much more than merely pausing-it allows us to experience God in a deeper and more personal way."

My thoughts on this study are as follows:

~When we are waiting on God to answer our prayers, He doesn't expect us to be dormant and still. We should still be striving to move forward, taking action to support our prayers. We shouldn't just be waiting around for Him to fix everything. We have free will, don't we? We can make good decisions, and even endure our circumstances, but that never means we stop actively living, and we especially don't stop believing in God and His plan for our lives. He loves us, and knows us each by name. He knows our heart, and wants us to be in a relationship with Him. God knew we'd need a Savior, to save us from our sin. He designed a perfect plan, for Jesus to come to this Earth, to be born as a child, to grow into a man, and to die a sinless death, and to be resurrected from that death, as our risen Savior. That's something we could never do on our own. We are covered by the blood of the Lamb. One day, He's coming back, to take His people home to Heaven. Which side will you be on when that day comes?~

Batfamily Introduction- Matt Reeves universe

So...this is how I'd go about assembling the Batfamily in Reeves verse. I have (at least the movies about Jason) completely developed in my brain, but well, writing the scripts is a whole other issue. I could, but 2k fics are too much for me at the moment, so I thought I'd share this with the world, free some space in my brain, so to speak. Praying that someone out there, that has the actual pull to make this happen, reads this and maybe uses it a little. Mainly about Jason, because my poor boy deserves better, and an live action portrayal that is accurate and true to character, instead of the constant angst trainreck that is his life in the comics, for some reason.

The more detailed an idea is, the more doubts I have about it, idk. Dick's is less developed since pretty much everyone is familiar with him, so I kinda skipped him, sorry. And Damian...well, I don't know enough about him to write him much more than he is, and tbh, I'd like to do something with him and Jon more than anything else.

Here it goes!!! (Also, I'm just a fan, so please don't hate on this, yeah? If you don't like it, move on.)

Batman: Gravity / Gravitas/ Gravitational Pull

(Dick's origin story as Robin movie, Zucco,  Selina helps, Ace shows up, Zucco almost dies but D!R decides not to, little scenes with Batgirl (?),etc)

      •Robin the first*: Dick's solo movie when he's older, establishing the Titans (Babs, Roy, Donna, Joey(?)), Deathstroke as antagonist(?). He ends the movie as Nightwing (?).

Batman: Mind Games

(Jason as Robin origin story, Jason steals the Batmobile tires, B sends him to a home. Mad Hatter/ Dollmaker is buying kids from Ma Gunn's and Jay helps B & Gordon realize this and to put a stop to it, B ends up kidnapped and Nightwing isn't answering Agent A and Batgirl is holed up in the precinct with Gordon; so Jay dresses up as Robin and goes to try and stop the freak. He trips the rogue with his marbles and knocks him out, waiting until Batgirl/Nightwing come to free the hostages from the tech, keeping the conscious kids calm. Dick is surprised about Jay but not a dick about it. Bruce offers to adopt Jay, and says it's not necessary to be Robin too, but Dick Is all "unless you want to, little wing! I'm gonna teach you all the *best* moves B is too old to do!" Sue me, I want one happy Batfamily, ok? Ok).

      •Robin the second*: Jason's solo movie, Kid Devil Pen pal, Kyle(?), Rose(?), Gar(?) or the Titans say he's too little?; Catwoman/Ivy/Nocturna as mentors/aunts? Heist movie. Professor Pig/Toymaker as antagonist? He ends up saving the Titans/Batman despite the doubts about him.

Batman: "A death in the family"/[?]

(Garzonas/child trafficking ring; they butt heads about 'procedure' and 'too much violence'; Barbara is paralyzed; Jay looks for Haywood, she sells him out to Joker, Jason dies. A few months later, B gets called to deal with Flashpoint and finds out Flash is the reason Jay died ("Allen, you killed my son? You killed my SON!" "I'm sorry- Bruce, I'm-" "Effective immediately, Allen's tenure in the Justice League is terminated. Central City will be relegated to Wallace, if he's ready to take on the name." "Bruce!" "If he can not use his powers responsibly, he can not be trusted with them. Unless you want me to give you an antidote." "...you don't have one." "Are you willing to try me?" post-credit scene. Jay's hand breaking the ground of his grave post-post credit scene)

Batman: [?]/Bane of the City

(Tim as Robin Origin story. Broken back, Dick as Batman for a little while, they defeat Bane, Bruce heals a little bit, Barbara remakes herself as Oracle and saves their asses at a crucial moment, etc. Jason is alive and with the LoA, baby!Damián? post-credit scene.)

    •Robin the third*: Tim's solo movie, he finds Connor and goes against Lex? + Cassie and Bart, of course. Steph is introduced at the end (iconic brick-in-the-face moment).

Batman: Under the Red Hood/[?]

(RH takes over the Alley in a couple of weeks; steals the kryptonite and ruins deals for Black Mask; kills the leutenants of the mobs and gains control over them, etc. ("B, this guys is not out of control." "Dick?" "I'd say this guy is completely in control. Look at these! He hasn't killed a single innocent. Every one of these men and woman have charges for murder, rape, abuse, child pornography or molestation, human trafficking... and all of them got away with it or got the minimal sentence or had the charges dropped or the witnesses killed. They weren't casualities, they were targeted." "It doesn't matter, he's still killing people." "Yeah, bad people! The worst society has to offer." "Dick..." "Bruce, we have bigger problems than a man that keeps the civilians out of things, the children protected and only takes his rage on the worst of humanity.") Jason still attacks Tim at TT, but only to keep him out of the final confrontation -broken wrist, ankle and bruised ribs- ("No more dead Robins" is written in Jason's blood on the wall). Jason as RH reveal; B accepts Jay killing Joker -he turns around and gives him permission- but the damn clown blows up the building before he can and scapes even after RH shoots him a few times. Jason collapses in Bruce's arms, sobbing, terrified. B asks Jay to comes home and he does, to a heartfelt reunion. Jason apologizes to Tim, giving him the R he cut off the Robin suit in the case instead of the one he took in the Tower. Damian's existence bomb drop post-credit scene. One big happy Batfamily, see?).

    •Robin the fourth*: Steph's solo movie. She starts the movie as Spoiler, ends the movie as Robin but dead. Steph tries to stop her dad, meets R!Tim, they fall in love somewhere in the middle. R!Tim wants her as part of the Titans, she refuses cuz her mom doesn't know about Spoiler and she wants to stay in Gotham due to Cluemaster. Jack Drake forces Tim to give up Robin (Steph finds out his identity due to him screaming threats to Bruce) and Bruce offers R to her a few days later, she agrees. Tim doesn't like ir, but Steph is Tim's only contact with the Batfam, so he's ok-ish with it. Cluemaster realizes his daughter is Spoiler/the new Robin and sells the info to Sionis, hoping he'll get him out of prison (he thinks Black Mask will use it to find out who Batman is, not torture her to death, but still). B&Steph butt heads, some "you're too much like Jason" comments/classism thrown her way (Jason is in the LoA trying to convince Talia to give up Damian to B, btw) She starts a war between two gangs to stop them destroying her block/neighborhood's business and homes. BM kidnaps her then, and tries to torture the info of Batman and Red Hood (his bitter enemy) out of her. She holds out until N&B&RH rescue her, but too late. She "dies" then ("was I a good Robin?" "you were a great Robin"). (Post-credit scene is her waking up gasping in a hospital bed, her window shows a Savanna.)

Batman: Blood Son/ Blood Feud

(Damian gets to Gotham to witness the end tail of the gang war after Steph's death. Tim is back in the Manor, back as Robin (he put on the suit to stop the war and BM; since Jack is in a coma he doesn't care anymore), working with B & N & RH to clean things up. R almost kills BM by beating him, so RH puts a blade to the guy's throat and says he will kill him if Tim says the word. Tim, in the end, says no. RH then cuts through BM's spinal cord, leaving him paralyzed. ("As a compromise" he grins savagely at Batman, winking.) Damian tries to off Tim the moment they meet, but Tim is very on edge and puts him down quickly and brutally ("You want to be Robin, remplace Steph, with *those* skills? Ha! Give me a break/Pathetic.") Dick tries to explain how fragile Tim is at the moment, while Jason & Alfred try to make them bond by cooking together, and B makes them solve cold cases together (it turns into a competition, of course, but since it ends with Tim spending less Time on the field, B doesn't stop it). Jack dies after an attack at the hospital by Cap Boomerang; after the funeral he goes out as RR, to get revenge. Zsasz gets him first, since RR is out of it. Damian -who was following him, not worried- ends up saving Tim after Zsasz kidnaps him on BM's orders, as payback. He stalls Zsasz until the others get there and cuts off one of his arms while trying not to kill him. (I wanna add Killer Croc here somehow, he's hired but Damián either convinces him to leave or beats him by drugging him or something). While Tim is recovering in the hospital/cave he passes the R to him. (''You'll do a good job." "Tt, of course I will." "Just...maybe get a less sharp weapon?" "Because blunt force trauma is more elegant?" "Nop. It's usually less deadly, tho."))

The (*) means I have no idea for a tittle. I know I want it to be secuencial, like a series, because that's what they are lol.

Since you also asked 11 and 12 in an earlier ask I'll just answer them all here xD

1 - Favourite character?

Erin. If my pfp icon hadn't already given it away lmao. She's just so badass and cool and takes no shit from anyone at all, just ticks off every single box I have when it comes to top fav fictional characters (if anyone says it's because of the white hair, no they didn't. nuh-uh)

Crescent is actually not too far behind, which is surprising since I didn't really like her all that much before. Gotta love mysterious characters with a cool introduction and presents herself as someone unflappable, but as you get to know her she turns out to be a dork who's just trying her best. Not to say that she doesn't have any faults or hasn't done anything remotely wrong, but the fact that she is genuinely trying to improve herself as a person and open herself up to the main cast is really endearing to me.

2 - Least favourite character?

Texen, need I say more? xD

But seriously, I really dislike Texen because of his shitty Andrew-Tate attitude. I get that it's most likely a smokescreen to hide his actual vulnerable self, but it doesn't make it any less irritating to watch.

Another character I dislike a ton is Neved. His resolve as a father is admirable, but as a person he is undeniably petty, delusional and hypocritical. In what world do you think that fighting for Team Xen would give your daughter a chance to live? As if she'd be spared from the inevitable oblivion that Xen brings if they were to win, and that's assuming she even survives the Light Curse. And just because Keta was overly blunt to his offer of support and gave him a harsh but well-deserved imo reality check, he decided to hold a grudge and take it out on Aelita because he isn't alive to take the brunt of his hatred anymore? Bruh.

9 - Is there something you felt should be talked about more? (Could be a character, a scene, anything really)

Honestly, not really? I feel like other rejuv fans are a lot more perceptive and analytical about the story beats, character developments and underlying themes than I do lol, so it's always a pleasant surprise to read their analysis on the game itself.

11 - Do you have ocs? If so, feel free to ramble about them!

I have two rejuv OCs for my rejuv verse the Chroniclerverse, although there are others of the same verse as they are (namely rejuvswap AU Sara from @/tired-needs-sleep). Both of them are Interceptor OCs, but each of them going down a vastly different path.

The first is Hauyne, my Paragon Interceptor for the Chroniclerverse. She's experienced all of rejuv's thirteen (fourteen if you include v13.5) versions, although she doesn't remember her past runs until the end of the thirteenth version and realises that she's been trapped in an endless loop for who knows how long. So her main goal is to put an end to the timeloops and set everyone free, this time armed with her knowledge of the future and her powers as an aura wielder no longer suppressed.

The second is Electra, my Renegade Interceptor. Unlike Hauyne, she's a Garufan who volunteered herself to be the vessel of the Archetype, but ended up contracting Genesis Syndrome and died. However, she did show a lot of promise when she gained the attributes of Dialga, so her soul was later harvested and kept for the interceptor Program upon her passing. She was eventually resurrected and placed in Aevia's body as her host to become the Interceptor, although the process had caused her memories to become fragmented and thus driving her to find the truth of her origins. When she did, however... it ended up driving her over the edge from grief, and it was what set her down the path of oblivion. She wanted to destroy the world, in the hopes of restoring the Old World and returning to the life she once had.

In a sense, Electra is Hauyne's predecessor. And when she went rogue and destroyed the world, her role as Interceptor was revoked and given to Hauyne instead. But even then, remnants of her legacy still remained in the reset world in the form of the Red Chain and the prototype of the spell that would later become End of Night.

The reason why Electra was picked over Hauyne in the beginning is because the Garufans and the Aura Wielders had a deep feud between them (the Garufans genocided the Aura Wielders out of greed for their powers), so Electra - being seen as more trustworthy - was chosen first. But after she ended up being a disappointing case, they were left with no other choice but to go for their enemy as a candidate. And it really shows how much they distrusted Hauyne, constantly putting her through loops when she so much as attempted to deviate from the script. In the end, this would be ultimately be their downfall.

12 - Any personal headcanons? Feel free to ramble! (You can ask for a specific character as well.)

Boy, do I. Okay, so here we go:

Ren's starter is his Growlithe, which was a gift from his late father before he passed away. It's also the only member of his old team that was on his current team roster; the rest were kept at his childhood home.

Ren once had an edgy emo phase when he was younger, something he was extremely embarrassed about. Not that it stopped his mom or Reina from teasing him about it.

Venam's starter was a Venipede that she raised from an Egg, but she later replaced it with Seviper.

Melia's Togekiss, Hapi, has a red star-shaped birthmark on his left hip.

Hapi has a habit of calling Melia "Mama", since she was the one who raised him since he was an Egg.

No one knows Melia's actual birth date; the one that is mentioned in-game is actually the day she and Jenner first met.

Erin's first Pokemon is her Butterfree, who she met as a Caterpie from before being imprisoned in the Unown Dimension.

As much as Erin claims to dislike battling, she does have a lot of talent for it and mainly does it to as either for self-defense or as a way to bond with her family/friends.

Before Erin was imprisoned in the Unown Dimension, she loved visiting the Kugearen Library (I'm hc'ing that there was once a library there before it was replaced by the Magnolia Library in the present day) and would go there whenever she can. It's mostly to get away from her toxic home environment, however.

Erin likes to dance, but gets very self-conscious about doing it in front of an audience so she only does it when she thinks she's alone.

Continuing the above point, Erin also has a really nice singing voice, but she almost never sings in front of anyone due to her feeling self-conscious about it.

Don't ever play any kind of card game with Erin, ever. She has insane luck when it comes to card games.

Erin's a coffee addict, and absolutely cannot function without her morning coffee.

Aelita has never once gotten sick. Not even a minor cold.

As a child, Aelita loved to hang around Vivian's tree. It still is her favourite spot, although she didn't exactly know the reason why she's so attached to it until she found out the truth behind her origins.

Tesla used to be a singer in a band, as a side-gig from before she made it big as a fashion model.

I'm not sure if this was confirmed as canon, but Crescent's birthday is on December 25.

Crescent specialises in Dark and Fairy types too, not just Psychic, although she does have a few exceptions like her Aevian Bronzong and Garchomp.

Crescent's favourite battle strategy is Trick Room and Gravity.

Crescent's Gothitelle is a partner Pokemon hence its peculiar colours, but it somehow kept the ability to evolve. Which is weird since Alain's Pikachu is also a partner Pokemon but it never evolved.

Alain is the second strongest trainer in their class, right behind Aero. The two have a friendly rivalry because of this.

While Alain mainly goes by they/them as a demigirl, they allow only their closest friends to use she/her to refer to them. The same goes for Aero, except with he/him.

Aevia is a Water/Fairy specialist... and is notorious for her stall strategies back in the academy. You better have some wallbreakers at the ready if you want to challenge her to a battle.

Ariana used to be cheer captain in the academy. Fittingly, her Sun team also goes by a dance theme.

While Axel is known to be the weakest trainer of his class, it's not actually because he sucks at battling. It's because he rather use movesets and gimmicks that he thought was funny to troll his opponents with, instead of going for an effective strategy.

Not tied to any character in particular, but Black Boxes have a pulse yet no heartbeat. If you put your ear against their chest where their heart would be, all you will hear is silence. They also don't need to eat, sleep, and breathe, although they may choose to do so either out of instinct or pleasure.

Black Boxes are essentially immortal; as long as their cores are undamaged and have sufficient energy levels, they can recover from any injuries. This includes regenerating lost or non-functional body parts. This doesn't prevent them from dying to poison, however.

Some of an Interceptor's abilities include clairvoyance and astral projection, allowing them to intervene even from a distance without being physically there (aka my personal theory on how character switching works)

This is a little out of nowhere but perhaps it'd be amusing to know that I've passively wondered about this whenever you tag auralysis, is that the name of one of your OCs or like, some combination of their name and analysis like you're tagging analysis type stuff for them? Also uh, what do they kind of look like because I assume they're some sort of robot or something but that could range from anything

all my oc-related tags are for characters i share with @checkers-dance (except #engraved, which i have yet to formulate a pitch for and which probably won't be a thing for months if not years yet, we have a whole Process™ for creating characters and fleshing them out). some of the tags are fic related as well, and those are my own reference.

okay! onto auralysis. the name, firstly, comes from aura (the android's name) + hydrolysis, which lavender told me is a chemistry/biology term meaning "to split with water" = so to split with aura, or to split aura; implications of prisms & migraines as well

auralysis features 4 characters at the moment: aura itself, an android with a mysterious (and as yet unrevealed to the other characters) past; morgan, a werewolf and enforcer (think the blade runners from blade runner 2049, same concept in a different font); camille, an erstwhile artist who is now the full-time model & muse of his abusive husband; charles, said husband, artist and photographer.

aura itself is a fascinating little creature. its story starts when morgan finds it in a high-rise hotel building after a party during which every single human inhabitant of the building was brutally murdered. his team encounters it sitting in a pool of blood, drawing spirals, and examines it for evidence of what happened by going through its memory storage, only to find that its been completely wiped clean. in the process of poking in its memory, the android shuts down, and morgan decides to take it home to see if he can fix it.

the android is a beautiful piece of work, fancy and delicate, made of painted porcelain but damaged and cracking. it's very impractical, so morgan focuses at first on fixing up the obvious issues (frayed wiring, broken pieces) before trying to poke around in its software. but the android refuses to start up at all, so he gives up eventually and puts it in a corner of his workshop and forgets it.

he forgets it for 6 whole months, and then aura wakes up again. it's spent all that time quietly sorting through its memories, discarding some and keeping others, attempting to make sense of its own actions and terrified that those actions will be revealed and it will be discarded again, as it has been by countless prior owners. because aura was the one who killed all those people

and nobody knows why it did that, including us :)

Is Spider-Gwen trans?

I saw Across the Spider-Verse when it came out recently. It's fantastic, you should go see it. I did note while watching that Gwen's room has a trans rights flag in it, but didn't really think anything of it.

But then, I saw this article on CNN saying that there's a fan theory that Spider-Gwen is trans. They point out the trans flag, as well as other details like the pink-and-blue pastel shades, and just like, the general vibe of the character, you know?

Let's dissect this take from a few angles.

The first thing to observe is that Spider-Gwen is not real. She's a fictional character. Her existence is a delusion that the filmmakers put in our heads, and we as audience members choose to suspend our disbelief about. This means that "is Spider-Gwen trans" is the wrong question to ask; she isn't anything, because she just isn't.

But that's not the end of the discussion, now is it? Just because she isn't real, doesn't mean she doesn't matter, because discussions about art affect the people who are real in the world.

One question that has a refreshingly simple answer is "does Spider-Gwen's story resonate with trans people?" That seems to be yes, according to the CNN post. That's not surprising; Spider-Gwen is an incredibly well-written character, and the struggle of being open about your true self with the people around you is relatable to a lot of people with marginalized identities. If a trans person watches Spider-Gwen and says "this feels true to my life" then that's great.

But a muddier question is "did the creators intend for Spider-Gwen to be trans"?

The "yes" argument is backed up by the fact that they took the time to put the trans flag in her room. With how insanely elaborate the Spider-verse animation style is, that is far from an accident, and it's framed in a way that calls attention to it.

They didn't explicitly say it, though. They have (at least so far; maybe Beyond will change this) left it in the realm of coding and plausible deniability. You don't have to be trans to have a Protect Trans Kids flag, just like you don't need to be black to have a Black Lives Matter flag. Her world's background art has a lot of pastels, but pinks and soft blues are also just, like, feminine colors. They could just be there to highlight the fact that Gwen is a teenage girl and Miles is a teenage boy (his surroundings tend to have more oranges and reds). And Gwen's relationship with her dad is deliberately juxtaposed against Miles and his parents, as parallel Spider-person arcs.

If they didn't intend Gwen as trans, but the reading comes through anyway, they might choose to stay silent because saying "no, this character you're excited about isn't trans, stop having fun" is kind of a dick move. This paints either paint the creators as oblivious ("whoops, we did a trans") or the fans as ravenously starved for good trans representation (justifiably so, but still) and grasping at straws.

So, what if they did intend Gwen to be trans? Then why not make it explicit?

There is one possible, mostly okay justification. One of the differences between being LGB and being T is that, if you're gay, you want other people to recognize you as gay, and have uniquely gay experiences (namely, same-gender romance). But if you're trans, you just want to be treated like the gender you are, and have the fact that you were assigned differently at birth be something forgotten or deemed irrelevant. With this in mind, if Gwen is intended to be trans, then not signposting that and letting her just be a normal teenage girl (with superpowers, obviously) might be trying to treat this with respect. That's the charitable reading.

A disappointing justification might be that the creators wanted to be more explicit, but corporate said no. Trans rights are a current political battleground, and Sony might have vetoed to cover their ass. Or, alternatively, maybe it was no-go because it violates Marvel canon--Gwen Stacy has never been trans before in the comics. This would make the hints and innuendos the creators pushing in as much representation as they were allowed.

But the worst justification is, simply, queerbaiting. If you hint that a beloved character might be trans, you get all the attention from pro-trans people but can maybe duck the heat from the bigots. (Note: this never works. Fox News sees "the trans agenda" everywhere; they are hypervigilant and keyed in, same as trans people and allies, just for all the wrong reasons.) Queerbaiting is frustrating and stupid and bad, because it treats LGBT issues as useful for boosting sales and viewership...but not worth engaging with honestly or openly.

Which leaves me with my last question. Assuming no further developments in Beyond, should we accept Spider-Gwen as a trans icon? Should we point to Spider-Gwen as "good trans representation" even without explicit confirmation from the creators (in-story or meta-textually)?

I don't think we should. This isn't enough. Whether Spider-Gwen is trans-coded by accident, stealth trans to slip past the censors, outright queerbaiting, or just a really good character that trans people happen to emotionally connect with...this isn't isn't what representation means. Representation means taking a stand, saying "trans experiences are normal and healthy; transphobia is abnormal and shameful". As long as an average person can leave the theater oblivious to your coding, you aren't moving the needle of public perception.

Don't take this as a condemnation. Across the Spider-verse is a truly excellent film with tons of other good representation. I particularly like the fact that there's a Spider-man actively parenting his kid, and a pregnant Spider-woman kicking ass. And, of course, the lead is still a black Hispanic teen. All of that is good and rare and awesome. But I'm not going to give them more than they've earned on Gwen maybe being trans.

Backstory: (To be updated!) He's an odd one, to put it mildly. No one really knows who or what he is (or why). He haunted by The Horrors(tm) that he never talks about because if he tries, he spirals into an unending, torturous mental abyss of madness and discord, but it's fine! Really! He's chipper and eager to go play detective at any given moment, really - having fallen in love with the old detective show persona(s) and thusly adopted one himself. Which sometimes gets others hurt if they're of the 'living' variety, especially. He's unintentionally a bit cold when it comes to the well-being of others, and tends to be rather theatrical and performative in his "caring" for others without realizing it, mistaking it often for genuine caring. If he's called out on it, he will deny it (unless he genuinely just doesn't care about the person in which case, he will openly admit it because 'it is what it is! and that's okay!' is how he sees things). He's genuinely unaware of his reckless and harmful behavior most of the time as he lives in such a different state of mind and being from most other entities in this universe, let alone those of earth. .

Someone once called him "Father Time" and it just kind of ... stuck. Though he never calls himself it outright, if introducing himself he'll likely just tell you that you CAN call him that, or whatever you want really. Sometimes people call him Richard (a play off the name Dick, like detective yes... because he's a comedian and is his own biggest fan).

Verse Information - Starfire in ‘Tadpoled Travelers’

Short summary: I recently discovered the wonderful amazing game of Baldur's Gate 3 and have to make a verse for Star for the character of my first playthrough - because I went with a likeness and behaviour mostly fitting to her because I almost always do. Basically, Star is the main character (default-named "Tav" in this game) of the game here. This is not quite the usual Star you know from me. Some things in her behaviour are different than what she would do if I'd have to answer something similar from mainverse-Starfire. Most of her personality are still the same though, just like, every now and then in this verse she'd give or have given more "witty" responses or like kept something secret because she's aware that one shouldn't tell that to everyone in the world.

Heads up that I know only very little about DnD itself, and probably not all the details of this game either. This verse is made basically for happenings around the game - after, during, something like that - I will probably at some point add another more generalized fantasy-esque verse that will bear certain similarities to this.

I'm not sure how to best put this into words, but I'm gonna try to summarize some things about the character first. I'm also trying to not have too many spoilers in here so a good amount of things are left out of this info-post for a good reason. Here's another (private) post listing down some choices she made, or situations that happened, for easier referencing.

Kori - or Star, how she also is called - is an elf (young adult - or "late teen" - somewhere, don't ask me please I suck at giving age numbers especially since I think elves have a different lifespan and development/ageing) sorcerer with wild magic and of noble background. She has almost golden skin and long, voluminous, bright fiery red hair, and bright green eyes. Most of her life so far, Kori has spent within the house of her family, the Day family (just made this up because I like that name as surname for them, if such a family already exists in DnD or BG please let me know and I'll think of something else). Ever since she was very small, she was planned to take over leadership of their house eventually, and she was taught and trained various things to be able to do so. She felt happy about it too, although occasionally did long to see more of the world. But overall, it was what she knew, and she loved her home, so it was totally something she wanted to do too, and it didn't feel like anything that bad to not have experienced much more than their house and a bit of the rest of the city. Having lived very sheltered and never really leaving the house of her family much (and if she left, she usually always had guards with her for protection), it was quite a shocking change of situation when she ended up kidnapped on the mindflayer ship. Somehow, she wasn't killed or transformed immediately, and instead began a journey with other tadpoled-yet-protected individuals to help save their world and themselves.

It was easy for her to bond with most of her companions on this unexpected adventure, and it was a delight to be able to meet and talk to 'random' people like this, she never got the chance to really do that before. Due to her kind and helpful nature, she got along nicely with most of them and grew close bonds with pretty much everyone.

[[This next bit is based on what I did during my playthrough, but it doesn't have to apply if we're placing something mid-game or like want to do a different ship or no ship at all]] Likely too trusting for her own good and not exactly experienced with certain types of behaviour, she quickly found herself swooned by the antics of one of her companions, an elf rogue. He might just have been smooth-talking and flirting as an act to achieve things he wanted at that time, but it worked perfectly on her. As the journey continued and the group learned more about one another, the two bonded more as well (including having some intimate moments), and despite his views on many things somewhat conflicting with her kind-hearted and often too trusting nature, they got very close, and eventually, it became more than just an act for him too. Probably especially so when she helped him overcome the biggest part of his past. By the end of their adventure, Kori and the rogue were thoroughly in love, bonded together through all of their experiences and shared emotions, and even if the group might not stick together as a whole, the two were certainly going to stay together.

Her looks: What can I say, I mentioned a bit above already. The "usual" Star-ish looks apply, with golden-orangeish skin, long voluminous bright red hair and bright green eyes, she tends to wear purple and has a green gem necklace she always keeps. If I remember to, I'll link to some screenshots from the game here, too (here's a link to one of the posts on my sideblog for BG3-stuff, with pictures of her ingame), although you can basically just assume from how Star usually looks for me, but make the attire more fantasy-esque, and of course add pointy ears.

Her powers: Like mentioned, she is a sorcerer with innate (wild) magic. She wields a staff (and a bow as long-range weapon), but prefers to use her magic anyway - most of her spells are fire or radiant-based (sunbeam, fireball, to name two I can spontaneously think of). She also has the spell to grant herself flight - I'd say it's probably also an innate spell for her family or even an ability always within them without a spell.

Obviously, this is its own AU, so any interactions having happened in her main-verse, or another verse, won’t have happened here.

Actually, here's the thing. I've only ever written TWO smut fics ever, and neither of them is particularly kinky. In fact, I've had a WIP sitting for ages because the second, smutty half of it DOES involve kink and I have no idea how to write it. I'm not the type of person who feels comfortable putting smut on "paper" so to speak, so writing kinky stuff is pretty much out of the question. Sorry to disappoint, maybe I'll get around to finishing that one story someday!

Honestly, and I think I understand the meaning of the word simp here, I'd say Kevin Owens. My love for Sami feels different than my love for Kevin. Sami is my joy, my sunshine, and my love. He makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside and I gain so much delight just knowing he's on this planet.

He is the sexiest goddamn person on the planet and I lowkey wish I could wife him somehow.  

I mean, I also identify with so damn much of him in more aspects than I feel comfortable naming, and he also brings me so much joy just from existing, but GOD is he hot. 

🔍 what character do you enjoy writing for the most 

Ok, so bear with me. I ADORE writing El Generico. BUT, I adore writing El Generico from other people's point of view. Getting inside Generico's head directly is something I'm not fully comfortable trying yet, but writing, in my Generico!verse, Generico as seen by Kevin Steen, is one of my all time favorite things. I do hope to at some point write an entry in that universe from Becky's point of view, so you'll see him from her perspective as well, and SOMEDAY i will get to writing something from Generico's POV, but for right now, yeah. Generico through Steen's eyes is my favorite thing ever.

Anyway, DISNEY WORLD!!!!!! God, it's been well over a decade, almost two since I've been there and after writing so much of The Happiest Luchador on Earth, I have a burning need to go back there. SO MUCH! I wanna go back there and do the whole deluxe tour, stay on property for a week, get all the lightning lanes, hit all the parks, eat at all the best places, PRESS A BILLION PENNIES, the whole deal. 

But, alas, I have neither the money nor the mobility for that so it will likely never happen. Oh well.

Nope, not unless you count having my ears partially pierced. My mom took me to Claire’s as a teenager and, sure enough, they got infected and we had to let them close. Except they never closed the whole way and now I have permanently half-pierced ears. 

🌙 your zodiac (Sun, Moon, Rising) 

Here’s a wild thing most people don’t know about me. I genuinely don’t know my rising sign and can’t find out. Why? Because I was adopted and therefore have no friggin clue what time I was born. I never met my birth mom once before she died and none of my biological family members want anything to do with me, so yeah. No clue my rising sign. 

My Sun and Moon signs, however, are both Gemini, as far as I know. So there is that. 

💛 what is your favorite feature on yourself? 

Oh wow, so I have a lot of self loathing, especially about my appearance, and I kind of hate everything about the way I look. 

Except. 

I think the color of my eyes is awesome. 

I have what I call “windowpane hazel eyes” which is when you have pale hazel eyes that truly have no definable color of their own, they only reflect whatever is around them. It was hilarious when I got my driver's license test and they were trying to determine my eye color and it kept changing depending on which direction I was facing. LOL. If you get them in bright enough light though with nothing reflecting, they look like they’re the shade of an old garage windowpane covered in dust, hence why I call them Windowpane Eyes. 

And I think that is So Damn COOL.

Interdimensional Crisis Pt. 1

So, I know I said I'm still working on a ROTTMNT fic with this character, and it's still true. BUUUT i also said I'd post shorter fics here, so here we are.

If you don't know who Duck is, here's their intro post. But I have a few bits of fic for a crossover between them and The Last Ronin, so I'm going to write those out and put them here. I'll put the first part under the cut and update as I finish the bits. No promises on a totally legit plot, but I do have some clear moments I want to get to.

It feels like every part of their body was taken apart, lit on fire, reassembled, then lit on again.

It feels like they’ve been dunked in freezing cold water and left there.

It feels like someone tied weights to their eyelids, sewn their jaw shut, and encased their limbs in cement.

It feels like they can’t breathe even though their lungs seem do so without prompting.

It feels like their eyes are going to start bleeding when they finally crack them open.

It also feels like they got hit really hard, but that’s par for the course of how they feel overall.

A groan pushes from their lips and it reverberates through their hearing aids and doesn’t help the headache they’ve formed. Possibly from being hit really hard.

“Ah,” a new voice says as Duck lifts a heavy arm to rub their temples. “You’re up now.”

They groan again. Yeah, whatever else happened, they definitely got hit. Hard. In the head.

“I didn’t hit you that hard,” the same voice says impatiently. “Get up.”

“’m frag’le. . .” they grumble. Their tongue feels like lead and their mouth is impossibly dry, so they doubt they’re intelligible. They cough to bring some relief to their parched throat and repeat the phrase. “I’m fragile,” the repeat again. “And you hit really. . .” They blink and crane their head (their neck throbs in pain) to try and see who’s talking. “You hit me?”

“Of course I hit you,” the shadow says back. “You were freaking out.”

They blink and shift their attention over, rolling their head to the side to see if they can. . . Well, see anything.

They’re on a bridge. How and why? They don’t know. But their heart lurches when they realize how high they are and their stomach flips when they realize how dangerous the situation is. Slowly, achingly slowly, they push up to sit and finds themself on the highest point of what they assume is the Manhattan Bridge given the rush of traffic below and the almost familiar cities it connects.

Almost is the key word there.

“Hitting isn’t a great way to get someone to stop freaking out,” they say hesitantly as they wobble and hold their head. “In fact, I know I’m even more freaked out.”

“That just sounds like a you problem.”

The shadows behind them speak and they twist to hopefully see who’s talking, but they only catch a flash of white eyes before the shadows swallow them.

They can’t help but feel like that meme about the boy in the bus in danger. Donnie would skin them for that explanation, but their mind seems to have finally ground to a halt from the combination of dread and pain. Their hands start to shake.

“Who are you?” the voice asks. Again behind them. They can’t turn around again. “How did you find me?”

They swallow thickly. “I’m. . .Duck.”

"That’s not a real name.”

“It is. I swear. It’s mine. I’m Duck.”

The voice remains silent. Waiting.

Duck clears their throat to keep the waver out. “And to answer your question. . .” They laugh nervously. “I honestly wasn’t looking for you. I just. . .ended up here.”

Something large and heavy lands behind them and Duck’s entire body goes rigid. “That’s a helluva story,” the voice says. “Why don’t you try telling it for real.”

Before, the voice was slightly muffled as if being blocked by something or deliberately hidden. Now, it’s crystal clear. He’s standing right behind them.

Duck swallows thickly. “N-not really a story,” they say. “Just. . . The truth?”

“Uh huh. Wanna try saying that to my face?”

“Not really?”

“Too bad.”

Their body is stiff, but it does eventually respond to the demand, slowly ticking their way back to facing forward.

The turtle in front of them is at least six feet tall, clad in all black and glares down at them with his third eyelid closed to hide the color of his eyes. His fist are tight around a pair of sai, but Duck can also see the twin katana over his left shoulder, the bo staff on his right, and the nunchaku hooked on his belt. The fact that his mask is also black isn’t helpful in determining who exactly this one is, but the fact his first choice of weapon is the sai makes them pause.

“Raph?”

It’s the turtle’s turn to stiffen. Though it becomes alarmingly clear that his tension comes from anger rather than fear like Duck’s. He shoves one of the sai back into his belt and storms forward, snatching Duck up by the front of their hoodie and holding them to dangle over the edge of the bridge.

Panic. Blinding panic. They can’t hear anything over the sound of their heartbeat pounding in their ears. Their hand clamps down around the turtle’s wrist and they keep their eyes firmly on his to keep themself from looking at the long drop below.

He shakes them violently and pulls them from their fear. “Where did you hear that name!?”

Did he ask them that already? Duck can’t remember. They don’t want to see the limits of his patience.

“I know you!”

He freezes again.

“W-well, a version of you,” they clarify quickly. “I-I-I think I’m having a. . .” How does he even describe this? “Interdimensional crisis?” Close enough.

The turtle shakes them again. “Explain.”

Duck tightens their grip on his wrist, specifically clinging to the leather jacket he wears since it’s easier to hold. “Do-Donnie! He-he did. . .Some science shit! I don’t know! I’m not smart! Next thing I know, everything hurts and I’m here!”

There’s another tense silence between them, this one heavy with the weight of the turtle debating the truthfulness of their words. Duck trembles in his hold but his arm remains steady. They’ve always been lighter than even the smallest mutants they’ve come across, but at least a majority of people do have some strain while holding them. Mostly because they’re struggling if the person is unfamiliar, but still. This turtle simply holds them up with one arm as if they were an inconveniently shaped pillow.

Apparently the answer he comes to is sufficient enough to get him to set them down safely and take a step or two backwards. They’re still as close to the edge as they can be, and they’re glad to have their feet back on the ground. They try not to think about the fact they’re still close enough for him to shove, but it’s really hard not to glance at the plunge.

“I suppose the sounds like something Donnie would do,” he mumbles. His tone is softer, but not entirely forgiving, and he still doesn’t relax the glare he levels on them. “Fine. I’ll buy it for now.”

Part of the knot unwinds in Duck’s core. And it relaxes even further when the turtle steps back again and sits on his heels, motioning for Duck to do the same.

“Now, then,” he says as Duck carefully sits down and crosses their legs under them. “You were saying you were having an interdimensional crisis. . .”

08/30/2023 DAB Transcript (Part 1)

Job 34:1-36:33, 2 Corinthians 4:1-12, Psalms 44:1-8, Proverbs 22:10-12

Today is the 30th day of August welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I am Brian it is great to be here with you today. We’re in the middle of the week but we are definitely at the end of the month. And obviously we’ll be concluding the month tomorrow. We’re also really navigating ourselves to the end of some of the territory that we’re in in the Bible. We’re reaching the conclusion of the book of Job. A couple more days. We’re reaching the end of second Corinthians. So we’re about to just reset everything over the course of the next week. But, you know what, we’ll navigate that all that together. And we are here right now around the Global Campfire today for this next step forward. And our next step leads us back into Joe. And we met another character in the story of Job yesterday. A person named Elihu has been sitting and listening to Job talk to his friends, but he's younger. So he’s trying to be respectful, but as things are winding down, as the argument gets more and more circular and more frustration is happening Elihu finally says, hey it's my turn to talk. And, so, he has plenty to say, as we have already heard. And we will continue to listen to Elihu today. So, Job, chapters 34, 35, and 36.

Commentary:

Okay. So, we have some profound advice in a couple of sentences in one verse from the book of Proverbs today and it reads, “drive out a mocker and conflict will leave. Quarreling and abuse will stop.” I mean this verse stops me at “conflict will leave”. Like, that's got my attention. And you go on, “quarreling will stop. Abuse will go away.” Like what…what are we talking about here? You have my attention. The answer is drive out a mocker. And you probably agree with it. We might have to sit here and think about it for a minute but we probably agree with all this. That…that's true. Mocking does inflame things and then…and then things just go crazy. So, we could agree until we have to go look in the mirror and realize that sometimes that's us, the mocker, the lengths that we’ll go to to be right in an argument. So, now the proverb should have pretty much all of our attention. So, let's just think about conflict for a second. I mean conflict is when people are kind of moving in a direction and they cross paths and…and there's an impasse of some sort. Conflict is present, a problem is being surfaced. And resolving these conflicts are what we spend a heck of a lot of our energy doing all day every day in some form or another. But when we’re not getting a conflict resolved the way we wanted to be resolved and we’re not willing to give ground a compromise or try to find a way forward…well then we bring out the special tools, right? We put on the mocker mask. We bring out the scorn. We bring these awful things as strategies for resolving a conflict because we couldn't do it the way we wanted and we’re not getting what we want so now it's down to domination. And, so, we’re no longer looking at a problem that needs to be resolved, a problem that is causing a conflict that we have to find a way forward on. We instead diminish the person so that we can attack the person and dominate the person and be right. And mocking does that. The mocker has contempt against the other person or people. And, so, their position, their point of view is diminished. We judge it inferior as we rise up in our righteous indignation and scorn and contempt and mocking and we have lost the battle at that point because now it's person against person and the problem is just sitting there. And then the gloves come off, and things get personal, and things get vicious, and things get hellish. The ancient wisdom from the book of Proverbs tells us that if we don't invite the mocker into the mix then fighting and quarrels and abuse and insults will disappear, which allows people to participate in resolving a conflict. The mocker is in each of us in any number of ways.

Btw could it be possible to have her - as in ex-CG (crappy placeholder name sorry lol) - also have a shitty family situation similar to that one version you told us about from early curiouscat days? I believe it was when you had System Keith, Pico, and Cass took over and answered some stuff in-character. One of the things you answered tho was as yourself and it was about the CG of the System verse. I can't recall all the details but I believe her shitty parents expected her to take care of them despite the lack of care they gave her beyond the basics. I think they had put up missing papers up for her and you mentioned that she, Keith, and the rest of their friends make sure to try to tear those things down whenever possible. I think you also mentioned she always makes sure to go around with her hoodie up just in case so folks are less likely to recognize her.

I think there's more to it but the only other thing that comes to mind was that she was a teen when she met Keith? Ah well anyway what do you say to this? Would it be okay to have it a bit similar to that version of her? It'd definitely help differ her from her MFD counterpart more lol

You the the details right. Her parents were taking advantage of her by forcing her to basically be their slave, so she ran away, living on the streets, and getting by at whatever freebies people wanna give her. Grammy helps her out from time to time, but she doesn't want to intrude.
