hii!! i just have a question, obviously you don’t have to answer it. but what do you think about “pazzi”? like i can “see” why people would think that they’re together but as someone who’s had a long and close friendship like paige and azzi, i don’t think they’re together. and some pazzi shippers are so mean for what..like just because someone doesn’t ship the same people like you do, doesn’t mean you have to bash them.
i totally agree! i feel like wbb fandom needs to learn that not everyone who disagrees with you is attacking you, i think it’s immature & honestly weird if you take the time out of your day to go and be rude and disrespect to others just because you guys don’t agree on something. it gives miserable and immature behavior, also very toxic!
i personally am a pazzi shipper but do i care if people think it’s real or not? absolutely not, because i have a life offline. go touch grass honestly. people need to learn respect cause it’s getting out of control!!! it’s really not that deep
also this is a general statement i love my pazzi girls
#also this isn’t just about pazzi people#wbb fandom in general has gotten so toxic#again just general i’m not attacking anyone#ev likes to talk!#not that deep

Just going back to a couple of your asks yesterday on why Azzi isn’t as popular (outside of the basketball world), i think you don’t need to look any further than Li to see how much the race element plays into it. Cause don’t get me wrong I absolutely love Nika and it is by no means her fault that she’s blown up in popularity the way she has, like yes girl get that recognition, but damn it saddens me that Li doesn’t seem to get the same love from some of these newer UConn fans.
I see some people putting Nika as one of the top 10 UConn players of all time and i’m like HUH?! Like i don’t even know if i’d be putting Paige in my top 10 yet lmao and if there’s anyone who deserves all the love and appreciation, it’s big Li cause she was the one that held it down for us the past few years, always the constant and the most consistent fr.
But yeah no coincidence that the ones that blew up or get edited the most or wtv are nika, kate, paige, and caitlin. I’m definitely glad to be seeing a lot more azzi edits (i built my fyp brick by brick) lol but when going by views, likes etc, i think it’s safe to say there’s still a disparity between her and some of the other girls i just mentioned. And yeah i’m sure once she’s back on the court then that recognition will grow further, or at least i hope it does. But i hope it also grows for other poc players.
Sorry to interrupt the usual pazzi programming btw and don’t mean to be a downer, but just something that’s been on my mind.
You absolutely nailed it dude. The bias is so clear, especially on tiktok & I know edits is not everything, obviously it’s just a small group of people online, but it’s loud and clear who people have a preference for and it’s a pattern.
Let’s not even get started on the ranking UConn players lol those people clearly don’t care about basketball

speaking of cc and Connor do u think some pazzi stuff on here is invasive
For sure I think in certain circumstances it can be invasive. Although people believing in pazzi isn’t directly harmful or invasive (i believe in pazzi) I think it does cross a line when you see people digging up personal information, texting teammates, and creating wild theories. To keep it real to want to know every single detail about someone else’s relationship is invasive. The unfortunate truth about fame at any level is Some people just feel entitled in knowing about others personal relationships. It’s not even a dig on anyone because we are all on tumblr so we have take part in this. A example of invasive behavior is people theorizing about Azzi and Paige’s sexuality. That’s just not your business and that is deeply personal. I also hate the response when a critique is made about invasive behavior and people respond with,“it doesn’t matter fans can have theories it’s not directly harming them Paige and Azzi they aren’t going to see this.” I think it ignores that the behavior is still invasive. We see kk and Aubrey interact with pazzi content so I think that’s a good sign. This a long rant but to some up everything i think pazzi is cute and harmless there is nothing wrong with a cute edit and even a fic as long as it doesn’t cross the line.
Thank you for the question anon i love ranting

Fredrico/Leonardo: where Ezio gets to go back in time (thanks to Desmond who he drags with him) and they save his family. After Ezio gets to re-meet Leonardo and he is so excited to have his friend back (even though they have to start over), but to his horror Fredrico starts to flirt with the man.
Now Ezio loves his brother and knows he is a good man, but Leonardo was his best friend. A man Ezio grew to love very dearly. Had known for longer than his own brother (and isn’t that sad?) So maybe Ezio is a little…protective. He has learned to be in his older age. Protective of his home, his weapons, his friends, his family. His.
(and if a certain time traveler now sits squarely in the ‘his’ category, well he isn’t going to say anything)
And maybe Ezio could handle his brother’s flirting if the man didn’t go about it as if he was a courtesan working the docks. He had noticed Fredrico had started to open his doublets and chemise to an obscene degree, even for him. It makes Ezio cringe. “God brother! Why not just go shirtless? It may cause less of a scandal.”
The worst part? Oh the worst part is its working. Leonardo was flirting back. (Desmond stop laughing, this is serious!) He is flirting back and seems to be rather appreciative of the display Fredrico is putting on. To add more to his misery, Leonardo doesn’t seem to be the only one. Ezio is pretty sure he has caught Desmond’s eyes lingering on the bare chest of his brother, but he really doesn’t want to acknowledge the ugly feeling that ignites in him.
TLDR: Ezio is determined to cockblock his brother and drags Desmond along.
Fredrico knows what his little brother is doing and thinks he is being an absolute brat.
Leonardo thinks that the reason they keep encountering Ezio and Desmond while trying to date is because those two are also dating.
And Desmond thinks Ezio is being ridiculous for a man who is technically 50+ in age.
Also:
“Ezio, I’m pretty sure I didn’t come back in time to be witness to your brother’s sexlife.”
“Shut up! They are NOT having sex!”
“Yeah, because you keep cockblocking him!”
.
Just more Desmond and Ezio shenanigans in the forefront and Federico is both amused and annoyed but them.
They do provide a good distraction considering Giovanni wants Federico to look into this weird incidents involving Uberto Alberti and the Pazzis while Giovanni goes to Roma to make sure that there was no foul play over the death of Rodrigo Borgia.
(funny thing though, Ezio introduced Desmond as a ‘friend’ about a few days after Rodrigo Borgia died but that’s just a funny coincidence since it’s clear that Ezio and Desmond had been friends for quite some time now)
Hell, Federico had actually thought Ezio had a crush on Leonardo with the way he was being an annoying tag-along the entire time Federico was trying to flirt with Leonardo but noooo.
It’s not that.
Leonardo was a precious friend, his best friend (and Leonardo always looked so happy whenever he remembers that) and, really, at this point, Federico would just like Ezio to confess that he and Desmond were together.
(Ezio uses a pillow to scream his frustration about Federico’s misconceptions, Desmond just laugh it off and play the part because if he’s going to be dragged to Ezio’s misguided attempts to cockblock his brother, he was going to have fun on Ezio’s expense too).
Throughout this entire thing, Leonardo knows Ezio and Desmond aren’t together but he also assumes they’re dating to ‘ward off’ other people. He’s pretty sure Ezio believes he only likes women who is trying to mend his broken heart after being rejected by the beautiful la bella Simonetta and he’s too oblivious to even see dudes that like him and Desmond is the epitome of chillness and not looking for anything sexual or romantic (“I’m just appreciating the view!”) that Leonardo was sure there was some kind of tragic backstory behind that. He’s the one who tried to explain that to Federico who misunderstood Leonardo’s explanation and thought they were dating for real. (They weren’t dating at all, o dio mio!)
As payback though, Leonardo started to use Desmond and Ezio in his commissions… for the more compromising ones anyway.
(Ezio may or may not be the model for a few of Leonardo’s female paintings… no one can truly be sure… except Ezio)
#ezio gets the female parts#because leonardo wants to mess with him the most#desmond is just in for the ride after all#ask and answer#fedeleo#while it’s a misunderstanding#no usual tags because#ezides#teecup writes/has a plot#fic idea: assassin's creed

NIVIIIIII. Chapter 10 was released midday for me and I was doing everything I could to find time to read it. But I decided I wanted to be somewhere alone bc I knew I’d be screaming, crying, and throwing up (all in a good way ofc). But ANYWAYS, chapter 10 review time!
- Angie Davis = girl version of Anthony Davis from the Lakers?? LMAO I just wanna know why you chose this name / wanted to mirror AD 🤣
- P+A flirting in front of their teammates, but then thinking that they’re being secretive about it?? Literally everyone can see y’all eye fucking like tone it down guys 😭😭
- “You know,” Azzi begins softly when it becomes abundantly clear Paige isn’t going to speak first, “I’m okay with the fact that you’ve probably fucked other people. I mean other than the woman you married as well that is.” THIS MADE ME WHEEZE LMAO. It came from left field 😭 their convo back and forth was so THEM. You wrote it so well 😭
- “Hey,” Azzi pouts, “you always did go for younger women. Like me for example.” LOLLLL I have thought about this too and how Azzi is younger than Paige by a year, but Paige always knew what she wanted!
- I really am curious about what the whole Angie Davis debacle is… like besides them hooking up (and thank god they didn’t LMAO), idk how else her and Paige could’ve crossed paths considering that she’s barely entering the W as a 22 year old and Paige is 31 and has been in the league for a while now.
- DREWWWWW??? Oh my GOD I cannot even imagine 20 year old Drew 😭 Azzi saying that he’s so tall, and then him saying that she could’ve been there to see him grow up 😭 that killed me. I am SO excited to see more of the Azzi and Drew dynamic and how much resent Drew has for Azzi, and how quickly (hopefully) that goes away and he starts trusting her again.
- I also am curious about how Drew’s relationship with Paige is as well. I’m assuming it’s still strong, and that Drew doesn’t fault Paige much for the breakup. I think Drew blames Azzi 99% for it, and that Drew himself had a hard time seeing how Paige was after the breakup. Can’t imagine seeing how usually strong your sister is become a broken person bc the love of their life and someone you also trusted just decide to leave. (But I know Azzi has a good reasoning for it, and I can’t wait for her to explain it all!)
- DREW AND STEPHIE?? I’m glad that Drew isn’t jealous of Stephie right now, and actually seems to have a soft spot for her. It’s like Deja vu for him, that’s how Paige and Azzi treated him when he was small. Uncle Drew FTW!
- Also, Drew being in the NBA just makes so much sense. I know he’s a highlight reel!
- FUCKING AMAZING CHAPTER NIVI!! SO SO SO WORTH THE WAIT! You are spectacular and I hope you’re still fully enjoying writing this and that it’s a treat for you as well! Thanks for your service Nivi and for feeding us Pazzi (and Nivi) fans!
- Side note: Paige and Azzi (irl) make me sick… I’m still stuck on that TikTok of them that Paige recently uploaded… We get it, you guys are happy asf together, good for y’all 😭😭 (I’m actually not bitter at all and love them so much and are so happy for them)
Hi my love, I'm so glad you found time to read it and to leave your review <3
- LMAO that was unintentional because I lowkey just picked a name out of thin air but that's so funny so let's pretend that was my reasoning too
- They're so terrible at the secret part of secret relationship I have no idea why they're even trying
- Poor Paige fighting cougar allegations just cause Azzi had to make a point but that interaction was definitely fun to write.
- I'm assuming, just by writing style, that this was your ask and you figured out the Angie Davis connection? If it wasn't, whelp it's the correct explanation and lmao whoops.
- Honestly I have a hard time picturing a 20 year old Drew too (and it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out his age in 2033 lol) but it's gonna take him a little bit
- Yeah I don't think Drew particularly mad at Paige, at least not anymore. Especially because his resentment towards Azzi isn't just rooted in how she hurt his sister, but how she hurt him too.
- He's definitely not jealous of Stephie and to be fair it's very hard to be anything but adoring of her. In fact, I think he's actually feeling kind of protective of a child that could also become collateral damage (*nudge nudge*)
- Thank you my love! I do love writing this story no matter how much I whine. Like it's really my baby fr.
- Like Tessa said, they're kinda really disgusting huh?
#ask#fic talk#notes time with nivi 💅🏽#drew fs has a nba highlight reel and the commentators add “just like his sister” a couple times too

Hello! This isn’t really a question but since it’s acknowledged that Hannibal only encourages/influences those he senses darkness in, I thought an interesting and prime example to support that is Inspector Rinaldo Pazzi. When they meet, Pazzi tells Will that he is “like him”, referring to his empathy.
Pazzi encountered Hannibal in his youth and even then, I’d assume Hannibal would be at least fairly aware of Pazzi’s mind. So the fact that he had a similar disposition to Will, in the empathy aspect (though not quite at Will’s level) wasn’t enough to induce Hannibal’s interest. There was no darkness in Pazzi.
Hi! Yes, absolutely. I used this argument myself because it upsets me when people say that Hannibal was interested in Will just because Will could understand him through his gift.
Pazzi was a person who managed to 'see' Hannibal for who he is first. Pazzi was also a known person in his circles. Hannibal definitely collected some info on him, and we see that he knew enough about him and his family later on. So why did the first person to see him not spark an obsession with him? Why did he not dedicate his life to finding out more about him and trying to know him, like he did with Will?
If Hannibal was interested *just* in someone who can see him, then yes, he would be interested in Pazzi. That's a fact. Since Pazzi knew who he was, the relationship would obviously be different and more of a cat and mouse game, but it would still be there because Hannibal would crave understanding. But he couldn't care less. He also never tried to make Alana or Jack or his acquaintances from opera into killers because these people didn’t have it in them. Hannibal is very careful in his approach.
What he sees in Will is a unique combination of empathy and darkness, harshness and vulnerability, but most importantly, I think he simply experienced that special feeling people might get when they meet the love of their life. It's unexplainable and irrational - it's just there. From the very start, Hannibal begins to plot building a family for him and Will, using Abigail as the point of getting closer. Like Mads said, it's love at first sight. It was Will and no one else - this is just how it happened. In more romantic words, Will was his soulmate and Hannibal recognized him. Other countless people he met, including Pazzi, were not. Hannibal craves love, not just acceptance.

Minette watches Medici, part 16 (Mass)
- HOLY FUCKING SHIT. Screaming, crying, throwing up. This season was underwhelming af, but what a finish!
- There were a few stupid moments, of course. Giuliano’s death was way too prolonged, ideological conflict at the core of the Pazzi conspiracy made no fucking sense, the swordfight between Lorenzo and old Pazzi was completely unnecessary, and so on. But overall it stirred emotions in me that I haven’t felt for a long, long time, and honestly it ended as well as it could have given the bellow average season that preceded it. Apparently, the dude who wrote this only worked on these two final episodes, and judging from his output here he’s the best writer in the staff...
- I am still kinda shocked that they managed to wrangle some actual themes from this mess, like Lorenzo being a living saint before that almost helped to make the point after he goes full on Nemesis mode? And if they stuck with the self-perpetuating Pazzi-Medici family feud as the main source of conflict from the beginning and didn’t try to add any kind of ideological component into it with the whole “true republic” bollocks, it could work absolutely splendidly. The point about self-perpetuating feuds was also kneecapped by the fact that Francesco didn’t have a good reason to turn on Lorenzo, leaving me almost cold during their final confrontation. Well, almost, because “cold” isn’t really an option when one is confronted with Francesco’s tousseled hair and face artfully covered in blood and dirt... As for Lorenzo abandoning his principles and Pazzi achieving a small victory in seeing that, I actually kinda liked it? They didn’t emphasize it enough in my opinion... But maybe it will lead to something later? Like in the next season that said I am not going to watch???
- CLARICE MY ANGEL. I COULD CARE LESS FOR YOUR DUMBSHIT HUSBAND, BUT YOU... She kicked so much ass this episode, I fucking love her. And her and Lorenzo fending off attackers together, maybe Lorenzo x Clarice deserves rights actually? Fuck, I AM going to watch season 3, am I not? Curse you, final episodes, why do you have to be so good?!
- This episode also made me feel for Sandro of all people! Imagine, me caring about Sandro! The fuck??? This writing is truly something else...
- The moment when mob turned on the Pazzi and backed Lorenzo was kinda overdone, like I wish his popularity with the people was actually well-developed and wasn’t just taken as a reflection of the objective truth that he’s just that awesome... But like. It is historically accurate, mostly? Lorenzo did prevail over the conspirators thanks to his overwhelming popular support, which in turn did stem from the things mentioned by the mob (support of arts, economic prosperity of the city etc.). I adore the scene in concept, even if the actual writing was piss poor.
- I was a bit miffed at the rando employee of the Medici getting all of that spotlight, especially since I don’t remember him even being there before - I mean, he could’ve been, but either way he didn’t have a big enough role to justify him being that big of a part of the climax. Heck, even the relationship of the Medici family to their subordinates in general wasn’t a big part of this season, so Nori’s death didn’t work for me at all. But, credit where credit is due, he is based on a real guy that really died defending Lorenzo from the assassins, so kudos to the writers for that!
- Another testament to the quality of the writing on display? I gave a shit about Gugliermo and Bianca! Their conflict first with each other and then with Lorenzo was short, but did kinda slap. The exile was kind of a non-resolution to their story, I guess if I am watching season 3 anyway, might as well find out what happened to them afterwards.
- To think a lot of this was indirectly caused by good old Ugo shanking his asshat boss fucking sent me. Though I guess the Pazzi really did shank Lorenzo, brother of Cosimo? Dunno, don’t remember who killed the older Lorenzo and at this point I am way too lazy to look it up.
- Overall a 4/10 season, would’ve been 3/10 without those final episodes. I most definitely do not recommend it, like there’s just way too much stupid for that, your life is short and with so many better period dramas out there, you’d just be wasting your time. That said, if you’ve watched season 1 and want to finish the series, I guess it’s not completely unbearable. Now, if you excuse me, I’ll be in my room writing the filthiest, sappiest, most self-indulgent Clarice x Lucrezia D fanfic you can imagine...

Just saw some people dissing season one of Medici for being sombre and like ??? It’s a masterpiece sorry like the characters are supposed to be morally grey, they’re supposed to be struggling and not having fun most of the time. So many of them have been forced to give up what they love against their will and the resulting angst is one of the key pillars of the show. Without it, any and all relationships would become so much more two-dimensional, so much less captivating.
It’s not written so that characters can have a fun and sexy time. The second season is unique in having that light, but the whole point is that it can’t last, not in that environment. Darkness pervades because it’s impossible to break the cycle with so few people committed to changing it. With Francesco’s betrayal and then the Pazzi Conspiracy, Lorenzo doesn’t have any hope left and cannot see a world in which his dreams are achievable without he himself becoming more morally grey so opens season three.
And since it’s not a show about being fun and sexy, Contessina and Cosimo’s relationship isn’t supposed to be perfect or something we should idealise. It’s not what either of them wanted and to be honest neither of them ever really would have chosen it. They’re a good match in other ways in terms of familial and political attitudes though. They have some level of understanding, even if they never fall in love or have a burning passion between them, and we’re supposed to see the value in that.
Also you’re not just supposed to love Cosimo because he’s the main character. You’re supposed to hate him at times, pity him, get angry at him. He’s not supposed to be unproblematic because then he wouldn’t be him, and the plot wouldn’t work. The audience cares about him because they can see he’s never really had any real agency over how his life would end up. In so many ways, he is what his father made of him

Hannibal sat in the bathtub. His head leaned against the side of it. Bedelia sat beside him. She wrung a sponge over his broken, beaten and cut body. Hannibal's eyes landed on hers and his pain saw you, wishing that you were there. He had been waiting for you and Will to arrive, wishing that it was going to happen. He wanted it to be you cleaning his wounds.
He needed it to be you cleaning his wounds.
His wish to have you come with him in the first place that was so strained he didn’t even realize the severity of it until just that moment. In pain, bleeding, sensing the end of something.
-
Jack Crawford looked at the dead body of Pazzi. It was being carted off by the police, the duck tape still pressed onto his face. Jack was tired. He had gotten a few scratches from his fight with Hannibal but none as severe as Hannibal’s.
Will walked up to Jack. Jack saw him out of the corner of his eye and situated himself toward his former colleague.
“He’s wounded and worried.” You emerged from the crowd behind Will and gave Jack a simple look. Both of you were scratched up. Dried blood covered Will’s forehead and there was a scratch on your cheek. You both clearly had been through something but Jack had not time to ask.
“Hannibal doesn’t worry. Knowing he’s in danger won’t rattle him any more than killing does,” Will said. The three of you looked into the Atrocious Torture Exhbiit, the place where Hannnibal and Jack had fought it out.
“If Rinaldo Pazzi decided to do his duty as an officer of the law, he could have detained Dr. Fell and determined very quickly that he was Hannibal Lecter. Would have taken thirty minutes to get a warrant,” Jack said solemnly.
“All those resources were denied to Pazzi. Once he decided to sell Hannibal, he became a bounty hunter,” Will stated. You scoffed.
“Serves him right. Mason Verger is trying to capture Hannibal himself for purposes of personal revenge. I've often wanted to use my own resources to drop him in his pig's den,” you muttered.
“Have you told la polizia they’re looking for Hannibal Lecter?” Will asked Jack.
“They’re motivated to find Dr. Fell inside the law. Knowing who he is..and what he’s worth, will just coax them out of bounds.”
“It would be a free-for-all,” Will pointed out.
“And Hannibal would slip away.” Jack paused. Both you and Will were facing opposite directions, looking at different artifacts. “Would you slip away with him?”
You and Will shared a look.
“Part of me will always want to,” Wil said.
“You have to cut that part out,” Jack argued.
“You aren’t FBI anymore Jack. You can’t tell either of us what to do,” you sneered. You believed that. Jack had no bearings over your feelings for Hannibal. You were annoyed he thought he had any.
“So you’ll go with him to jail?” Jack asked. You faced him completely.
“If I had come with him to Florence he wouldn’t be going to jail.”
“And that’s what you want?” Jack challenged. You stepped forward to him.
“I hate to see you win Jack.”
“You had him. He was beaten. Why didn’t you kill him?” Will asked, stepping in. Jack, eyes still on you, considered it.
“Maybe I need you to.”
-
Hannibal looked out the window. He was wearing a cozy sweater, cuddling into it for the last glimpse of hope he may get before a cage. He sketched into his book. Memories of Florence.
“I want to be able to draw these streets from memory. I want to be able to draw the Palazzo Vecchio and the Duomo,” Hannibal said whimsically. Bedelia approached him and took the book from his hand.
“You won’t be coming back here for a very long time,” she whispered.
“Memories of Florence will be all I have. Florence is where I became a man. I see my end in my beginning.”
“All of our endings can be found in our beginnings. History repeats itself and we can’t escape it,” Bedelia stated, turning into the home. Hannibal glanced at the small suitcase. Hsi coat was draped over it.
“You packed lightly,” he stated.
“I packed for you.” She paused a moment and off his questioning look, moved forward. “This is where I leave you. Or more accurately, where you leave me.”
Hannibal nodded slowly. His eyes scanned from the suitcase to her eyes. In essence he was aware he was giving up his Florence hope of you and him. He was aware that he was saying goodbye to Bedelia and also your alternate self.
In hopes to see you again, perhaps for real this time.
-
Bedelia put a needle carefully on her table. She saw the face of Chiyoh in the back of her mirror and turned around simply, confused at her presence.
“You must be looking for Hannibal Lecter. One of his patients?” she questioned.
“No, not a patient. Where is he?” Chiyoh asked. Her gun was in her hand delicately. It looked like it weighed a feather.
“Gone. Seeing how you let yourself in, I hope it’s not too forward to ask, who the hell are you?”
“Family,” Chiyoh landed on.
“Ah. You’ve come a long way from home,” Bedelia pointed out.
“Who are you?”
“I’m his psychiatrist.” Chiyoh glanced at the ampoule and needle. Bedelia shrugged.
“Medicinal purposes.” Chiyoh studied her further, her eyes narrowed.
“You’re like his bird. I’m his bird, too. I met another one, on the train ride here. He puts us in cages to see what we’ll do.”
“Fly away or dash ourselves dead against the bars,” Bedelia suggested.
“You haven’t flown away.”
-
Hannibal Lecter looked between the Primavera and his sketchbook. He was drawing it for the thousandth time but this time, in place of the garlanded nymph was your face. In place of pale zephyrus was Will.
Over Hannibal’s shoulder, Will walked into the room. Slowly, the suit that he was wearing suddenly seeming so stuffy. Will’s eyes landed on Hannibal for the first time since Hannibal gutted him. Both men battered and bruised.
He moved forward and gently laid a hand on Hannibal’s shoulder. Hannibal looked up at Will and smiled, pleased to see him. Will sat down beside Hannibal and for a moment they both absorbed the moment.
“Good to see you,” Will said.
“If I saw you everyday forever, Will, I would remember this time,” Hannibal said as he stared at the man that he loved. They stared at each other for a moment and Will’s smile seemed the brightest thing Hannibal had seen in so long.
“Strange to see you in front of me. Been staring at afterimages of you in places you haven’t been in years,” Will stated.
“To market, to market, to buy a fat pig. Home again, home again, jiggity-jig,” Hannibal said lightly.
“I looked up at the night sky there. Orion above the horizon and, near it, Jupiter. I wondered if you could see it, too. She wondered if our stars were the same.”
She.
You. “I believe some of our stars will always be the same. You entered the foyer of my mind and stumbled down the hall of my beginnings.”
“I wanted to understand you before I laid eyes on you again. I needed it to be clear what I was seeing,” Will explained.
“Where does difference between the past and the future come from?” Hannibal questioned.
“Mine? Before you and after you.” He paused. “Yours? It’s all starting to blur. Mischa. Abigail. Chiyoh.”
“How is Chiyoh?”
Between both boys shoulders, you emerged. You were wearing a gorgeous dress that you usually wouldn’t have pulled out. You bought it here in Florence. It reminded you of Hannibal. Plus your other clothes were bloodied. You looked just as battered and bruised as they did.
You all pulled it off with a regal amount of elegance.
“She pushed us off a train,” you said. Hannibal turned around to see you. The first time you had laid eyes on each other since you had kissed. It was interesting for Hannibal now. He had to double check that Will had heard you too.
“Atta girl.”
“Ah, it hurt,” you said. You walked around the bench and sat between them. They allowed you enough room. You looked at Hannibal and smiled. He smiled back at you.
“We have begun to blur,” Will said after a moment more of absorbing.
“Isn’t that how you found me?” Hannibal questioned.
“Even as the possibility of free will dissipates, my experience of it remains the same. I continue to feel and act as though I have it.”
You looked over at Will and then back at Hannibal. You placed your hands on your lap.
“Why did you let Bedelia live?” you asked. “I can’t stop thinking about it. I figured she had been long dead, gone through and out of your digestive system at this point. There should not have been an ounce of her left so imagine my surprise when I see her completely alive. Confused and lying, but alive.” Hannibal looked into your eyes and you understood.
“I think you know why.”
You held your gaze and then had to leave it in fear of getting emotional.
“Every crime of yours feels like one I am guilty of. Not just Abigail’s murder, but every murder streching backward and forward in time,” Will said after a moment.
“Then what’s left to do? Freeing yourself from me and me freeing myself from you, they’re the same. No longer seeing you in people who aren’t you Y/N. You are part of his equation just as much as Will and I.”
You smiled solemnly.
“We’re conjoined. Curious if any of us can survive separation,” you mused.
“Now’s the hardest test: not letting rage and frustration, nor forgiveness, keep you from thinking.” Hannibal stood up and gestured for you to take his hand. “Shall we?” You took it and stood. Will’s hand was already interlaced between yours, something you did subconsciously when you sat down.
You all stood.
“After you,” Will muttered.
Together the three of you left the gallery. Worse for wear but something blossomed in your hearts, something that only the other two could bring out. You had walked only a few steps before Will was shot to the ground.
-
Hannibal held Will close to him, trying to get him into the chair. You stood beside him, helping him take his jacket off. Will winced and fell forward, his chin on your shoulder.
“I’ve got you,” you whispered. Will’s shirt was soaked with blood. It was dripping down his arm from where the bullet wound entered.
“The bullet is still inside you. This will hurt.” Hannibal took the jacket all the way off and Will watched as Hannibal cut off his shirt. The three of you hadn’t been this close since you were last covered in Will’s blood.
“Chiyoh’s always been very protective of me,” Hannibal said as he looked into the wound.
“Tell her to back the hell off,” you sneered.
“Did she kill her tenant or did you?”
“She did,” Will choked out.
“Excellent.” Hannibal took Will’s knife you didn’t know he had with him, back into his limp hand. “You dropped your forgiveness, Will.” You stared at the blade, bloodied. You caught Will’s eyes. He hadn’t told you he had brought a weapon. “You forgive how God forgives. Would you have done it quickly, or would you have stopped to gloat?”
“Will?” you whispered.
“Does God gloat?” Will asked.
“Often,” Hannibal answered.
Hannibal moved a sharp needle into Will before you even noticed he had it. Will dropped the blade into Hannibal’s waiting hand. Will passed out.
Your mouth hung open as your gaze held the knife. You still had your hand putting pressure into Will’s wound but it loosened.
“I didn’t know,” you whispered, looking up at Hannibal.
“I know,” Hannibal responded. “You wouldn’t have done it anyway. I’m going to dress his wound and get the bullet out. Would you mind waiting in the kitchen? Dinner is almost ready.”
You were so stunned that you stood up. You felt the pull of needing to be by Will but wondered what he would have done to Hannibal. Would you have gone with it?
Chiyoh was right.
You were not the kind of girl who followed a man's lead.
You grabbed Hannibal’s shoulder and pulled him up.
“Why are you staying?”
“Why didn’t you come with me?”
You stared at each other.
“I love Will.”
“The Bloody Valentines.” You scoffed and took the knife from Hannibal’s hands. You threw it off to the side.
“Will is drugged.”
“Are you going to drug me Hannibal?” You stared at each other and he kissed you feverishly, the way he had wanted to since you kissed him last. You wrapped your arms around his neck and held onto him for dear life. You hadn’t touched him in so long.
You pulled away after a moment.
“I wanted to go,” you whispered. “I regretted now going.” You pulled away and stepped back. “I’ll be in the kitchen. Please fix Will.”
-
Will’s eyes fluttered open. Hannibal walked into the dining room with a large bowl in his hands. Will had a dish set out in front of him.
“I do not indulge much in regret, but I am sorry to be leaving Italy. There were things in the Palazzo Capponi I would have liked to read,” Hannibal admitted. In from the kitchen came you, holding a different dish. You placed it on the table.
A last dodge attempt at normalcy.
“I would have liked to play the clavier and perhaps compose. I might have cooked for the Widow Pazzi, when she overcame her grief. I would have liked to show you both Florence.”
You sat down beside Will and spoon fed him some soup. He looked over at you, confused, doped up.
“The soup isn’t very good,” he slurred.
“It’s a parsley-and-thyme infusion, and more for my sake than yours. Have another sip, let it circulate,” Hannibal explained. Will took another spoon from you. Will and you finally noticed the final place setting at the end of the table.
“Are we expecting company?”
-
Hannibal grabbed your arm tightly and stood you up.
“It will be Jack,” he told you.
You glanced at Will, out of his mind and slowly losing sight. Hannibal was giving you the invitation you had wanted since Jack stepped into Will’s classroom to talk about Garret Jacob Hobbs.
-
Jack opened the door to Pazzi’s home. He had his gun held up high as he looked around every corner before he stepped forward. Eventually, Will at the end of the table came into view.
He walked forward and up to Will who blinked, focused on Jack and took a deep breath.
“Hannibal’s under the table, Jack,” Will muttered. Before Jack could react you had grabbed him from behind and a blade slashed Jack’s achilles heel.
Jack dropped hard.
Hannibal turned to you and his gaze softened.
“You will not join me in prison,” he whispered. Your eyebrows furrowed. He grabbed your arm and shoved a needle into your side. You let out a small, betrayed sigh and passed out.
-
Jack came to and found himself seated opposite Will.
“I’ve taken the liberty of giving you something to help you relax. Won’t be able to do much more than chew, but that’s all you’ll need to do. I didn’t have an opportunity to ask you during our last encounter, but did you enjoy the exhibition? A different kind of evil minds museum,” Hannibal said to Jack.
“Not so different,” Jack retored. He noticed you were gone from the room.
“The promoters are failed taxidermists who formerly got along by eating offal from the trophies they mounted things that bring people together.”
“We were supposed to sit down together back in Baltimore...the three of us. And Y/N.”
“You were to be the guest of honor,” Hannibal said, ignoring the mention of your name. Hannibal poured himself a glass of wine and took a leisurely sip.
“Where…” Will started but he didn’t finish.
“Jack was the first to suggest getting inside your head,” Hannibal said. “Now be both have the opportunity to chew quite literally what we’ve only chewed figuratively.”
Hannibal held a bone saw in his hands. Jack suddenly realized what was going on. For a moment, all Jack could think about was what you would say if you were in the room.
“Stop! Stop! Stop!”
Blood trickled down Will’s head despite his protests.

Ok I looked into Season 4 of Hemlock Grove
Spoilers for season 1-3
.
I don’t know how official it is. I haven’t found anything official from netflix and the plot that one of the news sites has is this:
Hemlock Grove Season 4 follows 2 teenage girls who are killed and their bodies are there for the people to find the next day. Peter Rumancek, a 17 years old boy suspected of the crimes. He is a werewolf who tries to solve the mystery of the murders.
Which was the plot for season 1. Peter isn’t Peter as of season 3 and is over 21.
They listed the cast for season 4 as this:
Famke Janssen as Olivia Godfrey Bill Skarsgård as Roman Godfrey Landon Liboiron as Peter Rumancek Penelope Mitchell as Letha Godfrey Freya Tingley as Christina Wendall Kaniehtiio Horn as Destiny Rumancek Joel de la Fuente as Dr. Johann Pryce Dougray Scott as Dr. Norman Godfrey Nicole Boivin and Madeleine Martin as Shelley Godfrey Camille De Pazzis as Annie Archambeau
Most of these characters are dead, like they’ve been dead for a while.
Also they even say in the article that there isn’t any official announcements from netflix and that ‘There are still mysterious rumors about a cancellation.’ also the official season 4 trailer that they show is just the trailer for season 3.
The link to the article is here:

I’m going to see if I can find anything more official. I was really hoping for a new season.

pairings; slow slowburn lorenzo x reader, platonic francesco x reader
Hundreds of voices spoke over each other, all droning into one loud chatter as it reached your ears. You had successfully made your way into the banquette. Lorenzo had entered separately earlier, of course, to avoid suspicion, trusting you to snake your own way in. Which you had. You stood at the end of the hall, taking in the scene before you. You were now dawned in your new dress, which forced your posture that slight bit taller. Between you and Lorenzo fussing, you had figured your hair into a resemblance of how you'd seen noble women wear it. Still, you felt a little out of your depths. You had performed similar missions for Pazzi before, he claimed it as one of the advantages of having a woman work for him, but those had been in Florence. Sure, Venice wasn't all so different, but you weren't granted the same knowledge Lorenzo's schooling as a child had given him. You knew little of the place, or the people there either.
It was certainly an unsettling feeling, not having the secrets of the guests stored away, as if they were weapons themselves. Of course, you still had your actual weapons, but a nonviolent route was always preferred. You never appreciated the sensation of Lorenzo being better equipped than you, but as you scanned the crowd, and you found him entertaining a group as they threw their heads back in laughter, you were forced to endure it. His eyes fell on yours for a second, his lips twitching further into the smirk already sitting on his face, you shot him the tiniest of smiles before looking away, in fear someone would notice.
And then, you began to work. Making your way around the hall, eavesdropping on the finest of the Venetian population. Most of it was beyond boring, rich people droning on about rich people things. Some of it was juicy, but nothing of real substance, nothing that could help Lorenzo until…, you over heard the name 'Jacopo Pazzi' fall from someone's lips, and you made your way closer. They were discussing exactly what you'd hoped.
"Well he promised Vitelli a percentage of the trade through Bologna when they cease trade with Milan," one of the men spoke.
"How can Pazzi promise such a thing? Isn't Medici pushing for a treaty with Milan currently?" They lowered their voices as they continued, clearly aware the man they spoke of was in attendance.
"It won't pass. Not after his sister disgraced Soderini and his son. They needed his vote," the men sounded far too smug for your liking.
"A Pazzi in charge of Florence? I never thought I'd see the day," they all chuckled, and you had to stop yourself from joining in. They wouldn't see that day. Not if you could help it.
Parting from the groups of people standing around, you searched the room for Lorenzo once again. You eventually located him, on the dance floor, engaging in the routine everyone magically seemed to know. You assumed it to be taught in their schooling, and you imagined a young Lorenzo tripping over his feet. You forced the smile off your face, surveying not only Lorenzo but the people surrounding him, the dance seemed repetitive enough, and if you joined it would be an inconspicuous way to discuss your new found information with him.
Edging closer to the dance floor, you continued to watch Lorenzo, as he switched partners to a beautiful young woman. She whispered something in his ear, and a grin fell onto his lips. You felt your heart twinge slightly, but forced the feeling away as you tried to keep a straight face.
"Not enjoying the banquet?" To your shock, Vitelli had appeared at your side. You immediately bowed your head.
"No, Messer, the banquet is wonderful. Your grandson even more so," you congratulated him, hoping he wasn't offended.
"A heavy boy he is as well," he chuckled, and you eased up slightly, seeing his light humour.
"That is what they're saying," you grinned, your eyes not listening to your better judgement and falling on Lorenzo where he was still enjoying himself.
"Madonna..." he trailed off, not knowing your name.
"Cellini," you finished for him, "Anastasia Cellini."
"Well, Madonna Cellini, how long are you planning on watching the festivities before joining in?" His question caught you off guard.
Your eyes locked on his, before quickly shifting to the floor beneath you. "Me? No... I couldn't," you shook your head, playing up the modest act you knew noble women to put on.
"Why ever not?"
"I have two left feet," you chuckled, holding your hands together in front of you.
"Luckily for you, I have two right," you spun to the sound of the voice, to see one of the men who had been discussing Lorenzo earlier standing behind you.
"Cousin!" Vitelli embraced the man, they must've been second cousins or something of the matter, as the man didn't seem many years your senior.
"Madonna Cellini, this is my cousin, Porziano Lisi," Vitelli introduced you too, and you curtseyed before him, but he took your hand into his, placing a kiss on your knuckles.
"My pleasure," he lowered your hand, although not quite letting go of it. You felt eyes on you, but you didn't dare look for the owner. "Well, shall we?" He offered, strolling backwards to lead you to the floor as the band came to the end of the song.
"Enjoy!" Vitelli laughed, before spinning around to the people waiting to congratulate him.
"I was not spinning a tale when I said I do not have an aptitude for dancing," you warned him, as he positioned you in line with the rest of the dancers, readying themselves for the next song. You glanced over your shoulder to see Lorenzo staring at you, not seeming amused. You turned back to your partner, Lorenzo wasn't far behind, and it wouldn't take long to get to him.
"I find that hard to believe, a woman of your grace," Lisi grinned down at you, you mustered a smile back, as the gentle strumming of the bands instruments began to fill the hall once again.
In fairness to your partner, he lead you in the dance with little trouble, and when it came time to swap partners, you found yourself facing Lorenzo already. You don't know how he managed it, but you were grateful. He was more than enough to satisfy your quota for dealing with rich men.
"I didn't realise we were here to enjoy ourselves, Bellondini," Lorenzo smiled, his hand mirroring yours, as you began the movements of the dance.
"That's amusing coming from you," you bit back laughter, "but I certainly am not. I've been busy," you raised an eyebrow as you turned to face him, continuing the dance, although you were notably close. Lorenzo mimicked you, his own brows lifting, asking a question he didn't say aloud.
"Pazzi promised Vitelli profits of trade he has set up with Bologna when Milan falls through," you informed him of your findings.
Lorenzo scrunched his nose in frustration, glancing away for a moment, "Well..." he sounded defeated.
"No, not well, Pazzi can't promise that. Not with your Milan treaty," you reminded him, confused as to why he seemed so pessimistic.
"I don't know if there will be a treaty. Not without Soderini's vote," Lorenzo sighed, as he lifted his arm to twirl you underneath. "And now that my sister won't marry his son, I fear I will no longer have it"
"Don't you have someone other than Bianca you can sell off to Bastiano?" You teased, Lorenzo sharing a smug look with you.
"His heart was set on her," his face suddenly fell serious.
"So melt it, and reset it," your faces were but inches from each other. Lorenzo let out a chuckle at your words.
"I'm sure you know all about melting hearts," his thumb brushed the back of your hand, "but reset on who? Are you offering?" You scoffed at his words, making his grin wider. "Oh, come on, surely a marriage to a wealthy man is your dream. Then you could legally steal from him," he bartered, just mocking you at this point.
"I can assure you I do not spend my nights dreaming of marrying Bastiano Soderini," you smirked up at him.
"No?" He questioned, his breath warm on your skin.
"No," you replied simply.
Lorenzo grinned, his eyes locked on your own, "Then who?"
You took in a breath at his words, not having a witty reply. Lorenzo took a step forward, you hadn't even realised you would be changing partners, but you soon fell into step with the man now standing beside you. Lorenzo stole one last glance as he peered back over his shoulder, before focusing back on the dance.
At the next swap, Lorenzo excused himself, and you carefully watched, as he greeted Vitelli, and they left the hall soon after. He must've come up with something, as he always does. You waited a song or two more before leaving, muttering about how you were parched, and heading to one of the tables full of food. You poured yourself a drink, keeping up the excuse. When you were sure no one was looking, you slipped two drops of the poison into your drink, swirling it slightly with your finger before taking a sip. You had been upping your dose slowly, and felt barely anything at a double dose anymore. It gave you a strange sense of accomplishment, pouring the liquid down your throat that could quite literally kill anyone else in the room.
You remained at the table, unsure of what the next move was. You assumed Lorenzo would ensure Vitelli's vote soon enough, it was probably time for you to exit soon. Your eyes fell on the man of the evening himself as he re-entered the hall, although he did not seem a joyful as you would have hoped.
Vitelli soon joined you at the table, pouring himself a drink just as you had, notably without your secret ingredient. His eyes shot across the table of delicacies, before he moved for the gelato, now somewhat melted, and began scooping it into a bowl. He didn't even seem to notice your presence, he was so caught up in himself.
You took a step closer to him. "Not enjoying the banquet?" You teased, and his eyes fell on you. He quickly tried to shed his anxious exterior, although it wasn't too effective, he shot you a smile.
"We meet again, Madonna," he raised his glass to yours before taking a large swig, “have you tried the gelato?” he continued smiling anxiously, eating a scoop of it.
"Is everything alright, Messer?" You furrowed your brows, lowering your voice slightly so only he could hear you.
"I feel as though I have been split in two," he was no longer looking at you, instead his focus was on the man who had given him all this stress. Lorenzo was making his way throughout the banquet again, although now he seemed to be saying his goodbyes.
You pitied Vitelli, "I'm familiar with the feeling," you hummer. All too familiar.
"I shouldn't burden you with my problems, I apologise," he turned back to you.
"Do not worry for me, Messer, I enjoy being of assistance," when you got paid for it.
"Well, it is like this. I was certain about something, it seemed to be the best option. But now I feel torn. Maybe it wasn't as simple as I had imagined, as I had hoped," he watched the content of his cup as he swirled it with a flick of his wrist. "I do not know what the right choice is," he glanced back to you, searching your eyes as if they would give him the answer. You sympathised with him, having had this internal struggle since you'd first began working for Lorenzo.
"But you do know," you told him. As did you.
"Pardon?" He was confused, rightfully so.
"You do know what is right. Your heart knows," your eyes found Lorenzo's, he turned away as they did, exiting the banquet.
Vitelli seemed deep in contemplation at his words. "You've always known," you told him.
He nodded slowly, accepting your words. "I suppose I have," a hint of a grin fell on his features, "what helpful advice on a matter I have told you nothing of," he laughed, the stress fading away.
"I will not push any boundaries and dare ask," you began, Vitelli cutting you off.
"It is a Florentine matter. I suppose it would hold no importance to you even if I told you. But a young man was in attendance at this very banquet, attempting for my vote in a matter there," he explained, and you acted as if it was all new information to you.
"I see," you nodded along, "and his attempts?"
"I imagined would be futile. Still, I entertained him and now..." he trailed off, "I don't suppose you know Lorenzo de ‘Medici?" Your composure was tested, but you held it.
"Not personally, no," you shook your head, lying through your teeth, "but I have certainly heard of him and his family."
"And?" He pushed, desperate for your advice.
"You fear voting in his favour?" You took a sip of your drink, your eyes watching Vitelli for his reaction.
"Well no, certainly not, it's tha-" you cut off his ramble before it could begin.
"Things are not always as complicated as we make them, Messer," you could tell that whatever Lorenzo had done had worked. Vitelli would vote for him. You simply knew it.
"Maybe so," he took a drink himself, before a woman appeared behind him, gushing over his grandson, and he was pulled away from you.
"Thank you, Madonna!" You simply nodded at his brisk goodbye, finishing your drink before heading off yourself.
The warm reds of the sunset seemed to perfectly match your attire as you skipped down the front steps, feeling a chill as the night air crept over your skin. You were staying not too far from where the banquet was held, in another quaint inn. You set off down the road, until you sensed someone behind you.
Ready to strike, you spun around to Lorenzo already grinning at you. "You never told me you could dance."

Is Will Graham Self Aware?
If we don’t recognize Will’s self awareness over his Becoming and his love for Hannibal, we’re suggesting that Will is borderline delusional, incapable of setting boundaries, and unendingly indecisive but passive along the course he’s given. Perhaps love is blinding, but I’m going to talk about some times where he likely just worked in his own self interest instead.
There are two other posts that I think explain Will’s motivations well that I drew from, this one about how he doesn’t believe in free will, and this one that shows the reciprocity between Hannibal and Will. Therefore, he might be terrified of the thought of siding with Hannibal but give in to the inevitability anyway, and he might love Hannibal but need to reciprocate the violence that has been done unto him to be equal first.
season 2:
Despite his fantasies, Will does not kill Hannibal out of righteous violence when he has the opportunity out of the hospital. He was fine to kill Randall and (attempt) Ingram in similarly unplanned, sketchy circumstances (i.e. Ingram didn’t get convicted but Will still tried to pull the trigger, and he was going to be charged on Randall’s death in the end, risking his loss of freedom again). Either he’s somehow convinced himself that he’s still an effective upholder of the law, or he doesn’t actually want Hannibal dead or perhaps wants Hannibal specifically to be incarcerated for reasons of reciprocity rather than justice ones.
When in private with Hannibal, he is extremely candid about his murderous proclivities in what seems like excessive therapy appointments and dinners and work shifts together. A… suspiciously dedicated acting performance if it is a manipulation, but we see in his alone time that it is very much affecting him. This is the same man who refused to kill the person that stabbed him and chose a life of teaching because he was worried about Becoming. Either he’s sitting there essentially like ‘hope this doesn’t awaken anything in me!’ when it is clearly too late or he’s exploring his own darkness in full seriousness.
As for who he was siding with, Will spent months in jail trying to convince everyone that Hannibal is Hannibal and by “Yakimono”, Jack seems to believe him. Alana’s reaction at the world's most awkward dinner party™ is enough to show how suspicious it is that Will would forgive and believe Hannibal after everything. My personal favourite interpretation of the Freddie Lounds attack scene is that it’s completely Will’s imagination, what he wanted to do to her when in reality she was probably just brought to Jack’s desk and told the plan (why traumatize her for no reason? She would have written all about it!). There is all the possibility that he would have killed Jack in the end and gone with Hannibal (“Didn’t I?”). Either Will just plagued with indecision for the entire time or he was going along with the plan that would keep him out of suspicion and able to work with Hannibal behind the scenes.
season 3:
Will runs after Hannibal to Europe, angsting over his regret and longing for his “perfect world” alternative. He tells Jack that he wanted to run away with Hannibal, he tells Pazzi he doesn’t know who’s side he’s on and doesn’t deny what Alana is suggesting about seeing past Hannibal’s worst. These are all people that hate Hannibal, and Will isn’t gaining anything, especially not trust, by admitting his affection for Hannibal. He is also uncooperative with the police and goes off on his own to find Hannibal, therefore ruling out the idea of capturing Hannibal (at least right now). His options seem to be either to kill Hannibal or to run away with him, knowing he can’t get over him otherwise. He seems to attempt the killing option (unless he had only meant to scar Hannibal back?) perhaps because of his need to reciprocate. Either he’s half-heartedly trying to assassinate Hannibal (really? a small knife in public? *Chilton voice* ‘flirtation!’) despite being plagued with all these complicated feelings or he’s aware of the intimately personal nature of his ways to deal with Hannibal.
Will then loses his autonomy and spends a while tied up or drugged so it’s hard to deduce his thoughts until he breaks up with Hannibal. He later says “the only way you’d turn yourself in was if I rejected you” suggesting it was a plan of his, potentially a way to reciprocate for the time Hannibal put him in the hospital. If Will doesn’t believe in free will, he may believe in the inevitability of getting an opportunity to break Hannibal out just like Hannibal did for him, or at the very least hope he lives in that universe timeline. This might be why he’s so sour in the beginning of the “Wrath of the Lamb” when he ‘drops the mic’, he doesn’t see his chance yet. His voice sounds weak when he says “I like my life there (...) Molly and I want it to be the same.” When Will returns to say “pretty please”, his attitude is completely different, he’s energized and sly and smiley, practically glowing.
Backtracking, in s3e08, Will first goes to the Red Dragon crime scene and uses his empathy/imagination as effectively as we’ve seen in the past, but then goes to Jack and says he needs to visit Hannibal to get in the “mindset” again. Hannibal accuses Will of “just [coming] to look at [him], get the old scent”, and when Hannibal suggests that the Red Dragon is disfigured, Will half-heartedly pretends he hadn’t thought of that already (”that’s interesting”), which Hannibal calls him out for, too (“That's not interesting. You thought of that before”). Either he’s conveniently forgotten the effect that Hannibal has on him and convinced himself that he needs help on the case, which is questionable, or Will is truly there to see Hannibal.
Hannibal hints that he’s sent the Red Dragon after Will’s “ready-made” family, admitting he knows them and saying “they’re not my family, Will. I’m not letting them die, you are.” Will has been able to predict every other person who has been attacked by Hannibal (Beverly, Jack, Alana, Pazzi), but not the ones who Hannibal practically admits to? Returning to Hannibal after visiting Molly in the hospital, Will’s anger doesn’t linger and it’s arguably an intimate scene, standing in the dark, whispering about his “change”, their reflections overlapping. This is when Will realizes that the Red Dragon thinks he can do “anything”, even break Hannibal out of jail. Either Will is suddenly misunderstanding Hannibal but going along with him anyway, or Will is understanding of their plan and not particularly attached to Molly and Walter, maybe even likes the jealous attention from Hannibal (”Your experience of Hannibal's attention is so profoundly harmful, yet so irresistible”).
I don’t think I need to convince anyone that Will was purposefully breaking Hannibal out of the hospital. Can I just cite his eyebrow thing? Anyway, “it sounds weak to you, even as you say it”, the apathy at seeing police killed, going with Hannibal so easily. Either he needs to just retire because this plan crashed and burned bad or he wants to break Hannibal out of the hospital.
Of course, the interesting debate here is what his secret cliffside plan was. Either run away with Hannibal or finally kill him. “The bluff is eroding,” “soon all of this will be lost to the sea,” very well may be a plan admission. Will does not help Dolaryhyde kill Hannibal, he does not sit back and watch Hannibal die, he does not ensure his death with a fatal wound in the end. Will and Hannibal survive together, either he just happened to survive and went with it idk his life is so absurd already might as well just become a murder husband since it fell in his lap? Or it was by Will’s own volition and assent that he runs away with Hannibal.
Conclusion:
Will struggles to think rationally around Hannibal, it’s true, and he doesn’t make... great decisions, but I don’t think fans give him enough credit sometimes. He’s a criminal mastermind, a professor at the FBI, one of the best special investigators out there, and a master manipulator in his daily life. He struggles with the dark urges inside of him, perhaps yearns for a normal life instead, but is fully aware of them nonetheless. We can argue that Will is a hot mess, blinded by love, is borderline delusional in his self-denial and is riddled with indecisiveness for years but that he keeps on making bad decisions despite it and letting the current of his weird life take him along passively -- or we can recognize that he might have always been acting on his personal goals. His personal goals include exploring his Becoming and making things equal (reciprocal) with Hannibal and would empower him away from being just another victim.

From @battlewatari
More pressingly: Just how likely is it that any Templar who isn't Monro would find a half-dead assassin with a priceless artifact and... nurse him back to health? I would be surprised even by de la Serre if he did that.
Okay, let’s look at this by generalizing the Templar Rites by the order we see them (although we would be skipping the Colonial Rites under Haytham Kenway since they are the ones who reaped from Monro’s actions).
Levantine Rites
Considering how the Levantine Rites had at least 3 Assassins as part of their Order with Harash (Altaïr’s Chronicles) and Haras (Revelations) staying true to the Order until the end of their lives, the Levantine Rites have a more open mind with turning Assassins, that’s for sure. We cannot be sure of just how close to the inner working of the Templar Order the turncoats are (although an argument can be made that Al Mualim was part of Robert’s inner circle like Altaïr’s targets because he knew their identities while Haras may have not even known that Al Mualim is a Templar or maybe Al Mualim had yet to join the Order or perhaps he had already betrayed the Order by that point). The point is Robert’s Levantine Rites would have given Shay the ‘chance’ although it would be less about being kind but more of Robert laying the facts under Shay’s feet while he’s being vulnerable and healing from both the wounds of his body and his mind. The Levatine Rites under Armand Bouchart though would have most probably killed Shay on the spot.
Italian Rites under Borgia Rule
Okay, this is a bit hard to do because the Italian Rites are one of the more arrogant Templars in the series, especially when one looks at Vieri and Cesare. This would be one of the Templar Rites that would definitely have an easy time just killing off Shay while he’s down. With a notable exception: Jacopo de' Pazzi. Jacopo de' Pazzi is a sensible man who would have seen Shay’s potential although it would probably be hard for him to convert Shay himself as, well… the rest of his family doesn’t do him a lot of favors in that department, that’s for sure. I would have also included Uberto in this but Shay wouldn’t have been blinded by any ‘familial friendship’ with him and would have probably seen through his duplicity.
Byzantine Rites
This will be a bit hard because: on one hand, it wouldn’t be surprising if Ahmet was to kill Shay if the Templars found him. On the other hand, Ahmet also has a high chance of converting Shay because 1) Shay’s ‘quarrel’ with the Assassins could be likened to Ahmet’s strained relationship with his father and brother, hitting on Shay’s emotions and 2) the state of Derinkuyu would have tugged on Shay’s heartstrings and could be used to make Shay believe that the Assassins are the reasons those people, innocent people, are living like that.
West Indies Rites
Considering they recruited Duncan Walpole to their cause, it won’t be surprising if they also try to get Shay to see their side as well. Also, Laureano de Torres y Ayala may have been overshadowed by Roberts by the end of Black Flag but the first few memories we see of him with Edward had shown him as a man who had given respect to a turncoat and, while not exactly kind, seemed to be polite without the usual bite of Haytham Kenway. Also, before Edward was outed as a pirate, the rest of the Templars were friendly so it isn’t hard to see them show the same respect to Shay.
Parisian Rites
Okay, to be fair, de la Serre would be more reluctant to do such a thing because it would jeopardize his ‘truce’ with the Assassins. However, his wife and daughter would have been the ones who pushed him to make sure Shay get the treatment he needs. Converting him to the Templar cause though itself, probably not. The best he’d do is be the mediator between Shay and the Assassins to try and bring about a ‘peaceful’ outcome. On the other hand, he wouldn’t jeopardize his truce with the Assassins even for Shay.
London Rites
Starrick wouldn’t kill off Shay immediately, not when he’s not sure if he can use him or not yet. He’s also charismatic and cunning enough that he might be able to manipulate Shay in some way. Lucy Thorne would probably rub Shay the wrong way though so it’s a bit of a hard sell in this one.
(I am skipping the Cult of Kosmos and Order of the Ancients. Although they are noted as the predecessors of the Templar Order, based on their philosophy and actions, they are more in tune with the Cult of the First Bitch than the actual Templar Order that we are used to. Their remnants did need to die off for King Ælfred to start the Templar Order which means…)
King Ælfred
King Ælfred would use Shay in the same way he used Eivor. Without showing how he really is, he’d appear like an ally to Shay, even focusing on the truly ‘evil’ enemies of the Assassins (and, perhaps, in this scenario, fighting the Assassins is more of a self-defense thing than actually trying to hunt them down). By the time Shay would realize who he is, Shay would be more like a lone wolf, left without any allies but King Ælfred himself. In this situation, it would be easy for King Ælfred to turn him and make him the first Grand Master.
Abstergo
I’ve covered this before but Abstergo wouldn’t kill him immediately. At best, they’d do the same tactics they did to convert Lucy, perhaps even use Lucy as their way ‘in’. At worst, they’d use him as an Animus subject and take everything they can from his genetic gene.
Is it just me or would the Shay situation end very differently if it happened under a mentor that wasn't, well... Achilles? How do you think other leaders of the Brotherhood/Hidden Ones would have handled him? (Also: what would the Templars do because I can't see Shay getting flipped by, say, Garnier)
Don’t worry, it’s not just you. The very premise of Shay’s defection hinged on one important thing: miscommunication.
They handled this by making:
Shay be so traumatized by what happened in Lisbon that he had mistakenly concluded that the Brotherhood (Achilles) knew what the POE could do
Achilles being too indignant by all of Shay’s accusations that he didn’t bother to try and hear Shay out
Everyone (especially Liam who is meant to be Shay’s best friend and Hope who is meant to be close to him) sided with Achilles with unflinching loyalty instead of trying to get Shay’s side of the story
Perhaps it was meant to show how far the Brotherhood had fallen, that they had grown arrogant, but there is also the fact that, one of the voice lines when Shay is in the Morrigan with Liam, Shay and Liam talk about how Achilles had not been the same since the death of his wife and son. That was meant to hint that Achilles was not in the proper headspace to continue being their mentor. This does not excuse Achilles’ actions but it is an indication that the other Assassins (who are all meant to be observant) should have been more cautious of his orders.
Anyway, Imma end that rant there and focus on your question concerning how the other known mentors would have done in Achilles’ position.
Honestly? Any other mentor would have done better in Achilles’ place.
Altaïr is, well, Altaïr. He’s well-versed in the Apple so, if he didn’t have any idea of what the POE in Lisbon (and Haiti) could do, he would have believed Shay if he told him how the POE caused Lisbon’s earthquake. Not to mention, by the time he was the mentor, he would be thick-skinned enough that he wouldn’t be provoked by Shay’s shouting.
Ezio would know the danger of the POEs and would actually try to calm Shay down first. He wouldn’t have dismissed his claims and Ezio would have been observing all his ‘students’ enough that he knew something was wrong with Shay first and focus on calming him down first (sidebar: Ezio would definitely not have made Gaultier an Assassin as he would have seen how dangerously arrogant he is, his connections to the French be damn)
Ratonhnhaké:ton (technically he would have taken the mentor title the day Achilles died) would have not lost his cool with all of Shay’s accusations. He’d let Shay say his piece then order him to sit down and get Hope and Liam to calm him down, believing that Shay would have a hard time calming down if he was the one to do it since Shay believed that he knew what the POE could do and blame him for the earthquake. Once Shay is calmer, he would talk to him once more.
We have no confirmation that Arno, Evie and Jacob ever became the mentor of their specific Brotherhoods so I’m going to skip them, especially Arno as the Parisian Brotherhood did have a council instead of a mentor during his time.
Bayek would have tried to understand Shay since he had seen just how frightening the POEs could be. He does have a bit of a temper on him but that was mostly contained to when he was grieving Khemu’s death. By the time he was a mentor, he had moved passed Khemu’s death so he would be more level-headed at that point.
Aya would be similar to Bayek as well. Although we do not have any actual scenes where Aya had to be the one to deal with all the Isu BS, she does respect the gods so she wouldn’t dismiss Shay’s claims that a POE caused the earthquake.
Also, you know I believed a character has fucked up so badly when I say this: William Miles would have done a better job in keeping Shay from defecting. Sure, he failed with Lucy but that’s because Lucy had little interactions with the Assassins so her emotional and mental state couldn't be observed properly. Bill would have most definitely let Liam and Hope take care of Shay while he’s in that state, either because he knew he wouldn’t get anywhere if he was the one to talk to Shay or because he can’t be bothered to deal with Shay’s ‘tantrums’. Bill is cold and distant, making it easy for him to be logical. The only actual time he loses his cool is when Desmond calls him the same as a Templar but that has like... 25 years of unresolved familial issues and discontent all rolled up into one short fused bomb so yeah, Bill would have done a better job than Achilles because he’s a cold bastard.
Now, for the Templar side: let’s be clear, Shay wasn’t flipped by Haytham Kenway, he was flipped by George Monro. Haytham just finished the job when Monro died. Whether Monro’s kindness was an act to get Shay to the Templar’s side or not is irrelevant in this situation, what mattered was Monro’s actions towards Shay is the reason why it was ‘easy’ for Shay to change side. (Of course, being hunted down by people he trusted and the trauma of Lisbon definitely helped Monroe’s case)
So, if any Templar was to try and flip Shay, the one with the highest possibility of making him flip would actually be someone who has shown kindness, which is kinda hard to find since a lot of the Templars we’ve seen had been, well… aggressive douchebags. Someone like Monsieur de la Serre who has been characterized as both kind and more on the side of ‘we can find peace with the Assassins’ would work. If you want Shay to flip to the Templar side, you need someone kind or someone who would make Shay feel like he hasn’t done anything wrong, that the Templars just want to help.
In other words, either go for the kindness route like Monro or go for the ‘Project Siren’ route with someone like Lucy.

ANYYWAAYYSS
- as always your writing is perfect and im obsessed with u 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I'm so glad so many of y'all are leaving long reviews like y'all don't know much it helps with motivating me <3
I'm a big fetus Pazzi fan and I really like writing them in that era cause it's such blank canvas so trust there'll be more scenes from back then probably
I'm so glad y'all liked the letter cause I think that was my favorite little bit of this chapter
The kids have been traumatized and Pazzi really should probably have paid for their therapy considering
I love everyone's reactions to Olivia cause some people guessed it right away and some of y'all were genuinely shocked and both of those reactions are amusing to me. But I think the consensus is that nobody's a big fan of her lmao.
Y'all know me and my parallels, I just can't help myself and it just worked out really well because Paige is so atrociously down bad for her Fudd girls.
Mmmmm I wouldn't say Olivia plays a huge role in the story (as of right now) but she will appear again
Ah well babes unfortunately...it's just too fun to write them fighting mwahhaha
#ask#fic talk#feel free to do this for every chapter if you want babes and to claim an emoji so i know it's you (but you don't have to ofc)

medici imagine
here is a separate imagine for the medici fandom, I am debating making this into a series in which I will link the imagines I have made for them.
(Y/N Maddalena and Lorenzo are married/have one child in this imagine)
summary: it is the day of mass, Francesco, Salviati, Jacopo and pope Sixtus have conspired against the medici family. This is not only for the power that Jacopo promised pope Sixtus in the removal of the medici family but the betrayal Francesco feels for losing his brother, but his sister Y/N Maddalena to them also. On the morning of mass, Sunday 26th April 1478, the world for the medici family was about to change and Y/N would have to choose between her husband or her family.
..........
In the days before what happened on that excruciating night, Y/N knew something wasn't right, her family were often meeting in secret, you usually knew all their plots and schemes, but there was nothing. It was like your uncle and brother had disappeared off the face of the earth. Something did not feel right in the air, you had a great sense of this, you'd often trust your gut feeling when it came to it. What were they planning? and why had no one consulted you, you knew with marrying Lorenzo there would be some issues, although it was for your families own gain originally, they did not expect you to reciprocate the feelings towards Lorenzo. They knew then they had lost their greatest possession and to a medici at that, you were no longer a Pazzi and you knew that deep down.
Sunday 26th April 1478, today was high mass. You were in your beautiful home in Florence, watching your daughter play with Guiliano in the courtyard, this was good for Guiliano, since the death of Simonetta he had been lost in his thoughts. Your daughter Lucrezia was just 2 years old but how she was growing so fast, she could walk and she was even starting to talk, a credit to the medici tutors. You feel two hands travel down your corset, the shivers that it sends through your core is beyond you, 2 years married and this man could still make you feel like you did when you first said I love you. Lorenzo’s head rested on your shoulders, placing bare kisses to them, you turn to him smiling and placing a kiss on his lips.
“she takes after her mother” Lorenzo began speaking, as you lent back from Lorenzo you giggled and replied, “what, a livewire, keeping everyone on their toes”. Lorenzo laughed with you, as he held you tight with his arms around your waist and said `’well there's that yes but she's beautiful just like her mother”.
“she is beautiful isn't she, I just feel for your brother, I wish he could have what we have, it breaks my heart to see him like this”
“I know my dear, he will one day, just give him time to heal, all we can do now is be there for him” Lorenzo replied
You continued to smile down at your daughter and Guiliano playing, until Bianca and their mother called you down to the carriage, you said your goodbyes to your daughter who you left with the maid, you did not see the point in taking her to mass at only the age of 2 when she doesn't understand its meaning. You arrived at the Duomo where thousands of people were preparing for Sunday mass, yet you did not see your uncle and Francesco, you had had a weird gut feeling all morning, something did not sit well with you and with them not being there at mass, this made you even more weary. 10 minutes had passed and there were still not sign of them, but Salviati sat right diagonal from you, grinning and nodding at you as if he had something over you. You lean into Lorenzo and whisper “Lorenzo, something doesn't feel right, my brother and uncle are not present”. Lorenzo utterly confused at to your worry, but with recent events with the medici and Pazzi family he had no fear. Lorenzo shrugged off your worry, in which frustrated you, it was until then all of a sudden you saw a black figure appear, cloaked to sit behind Guiliano and in that moment you screamed, it was like your whole world flashed before your eyes, Guiliano was stabbed, the sharp actions of the knife replayed in your mind, you counted 19 times. You instantly feared for your husbands life and ran to his mother and sister, urging them to retreat into the side chamber, Lucrezia eager to get to her son Guiliano, lying there in a pool of blood.
“Lucrezia please we have to move, Bianca help me get your mother to the chamber” you shouted, Bianca there dragging her mother to the chamber, the cries of a mother who had lost her son echoed, it felt like the walls were shaking. Lucrezia crying and screaming her sons name, you finally got her into the chamber, where you threw Bianca a sword to protect her if anyone tried to get inside. Bianca teary shouted, “Y/N what are you to do”
“what I should of done a long time ago Bianca, now please keep quiet”
you run to your husband who was fighting off Francesco, Francesco lifts his sword ready to swipe down a weak and wounded Lorenzo, you slide infant of Lorenzo, face to face with your brother. Tears and blood stuck to your face, you cried to your brother
“you kill him, then you have to kill me Francesco” francesco tried to shove you out the way but the grip you have over Lorenzo was too strong for him to compete with.
‘I SAID MOVE NOW SISTER” Francesco repeated, lifting his sword once more to aim at Lorenzo, it was then where you stood at the blades end, the tip scraping at your throat. Francesco had a pain in his eyes, there stood his sister, fighting for his enemy, his own little sister, would he have to kill her to get to Lorenzo, had Jacopo really drove him this far. Your eyes pleaded with his, there was fear in his eyes, but not in yours, yours were dark with anger, this was your brother and he was lost, you had lost him completely.
“I am not your sister, I haven't been for a while now, you know that, you would rather let that man turn you against me than to be by my side. You have just killed my Childs uncle, my husbands brother so I would gladly die right now for my husband Francesco if it meant you had to live with that pain forever like he will have to” you pleaded, pushing further and further into his sword, your blood now dripping on his sword. Francesco drops his sword and turns to face Jacapo, jacapo filled with disgust in both of you, he runs out of the duomo. You drop to your knees, both palms on Lorenzo’s face who kneels next do his brother, head in shame. you both just look at each other, one another thankful t be alive but broken at the same time. Lorenzo grabs both hands and places them onto his lap and questions
“why did you do that, why Y/N”
“Lorenzo, will you ever learn, I am your wife, always and forever I will protect you and our family” you cried, waving your hands of his wounds. “you are all I have now, you are my family”
“I am forever in your debt my love, I love you with all my heart, every fibre of my being I love you and I am yours” Lorenzo declares, once more taking your hands and holding you by his side, guilianos body lay there, cold as ice. His mother and sister gather around you both, sobbing. Now you knew, the Pazzi family will pay for what they have done and you would help the medici Family take down your family.

Minette watches Medici, part 15 (Betrayal)
- This is probably going to be a short one, because I don’t have much to complain about this episode? Like, the whole thing is questionable from the historical perspective and has a lot of problems carried over from the previous episodes, but overall the buildup to the Pazzi plot kinda slaps? Who knows, maybe I’ll fill this one with compliments instead.
- First off, one thing I forgot to mention in the previous entry: the decision to tie Galeazzo’s murder to the Pazzi conspiracy. And I mean, those two things were related, in that they were both attempts to remove an autocratic ruler and reinstate the old semi-oligarchical order, but they weren’t literally perpetuated by the same people. With that said, as far as deviations from history go, this is one of the better ones, because it fits very well into the main plot. Like, if they are going to disregard the history completely, they might as well give us something this good.
- Look, I hate to say this, because she was a great gal and shit, but... They should’ve killed Simonetta sooner. I don’t hate some of the things they were trying to do with Giuliano here, like him being distracted by women, wine and general fucking around, untill he falls in love with a girl who inspires him to take his responsibilities more seriously even after she dies. But like... The whole thing was too little too late. Instead we spend most of Simonetta and Giuliano’s time together with their dumb courtship and even dumber drama with her husband and Sandro.
- Also, the whole “Sandro loves her as an object of artistic adoration, while Giuliano loves her as an actual person” would be a great angle to take if it wasn’t for the fact that a) again, too little too late; b) if Giuliano really loved or at least respected her as an actual person, he would’ve left her alone at the first “get lost” and none of this drama would happen. These two had no fucking chemistry, but honestly that’s to be expected, I’ve yet to see a tsundere girl x presumptuous fuckboy pairing that isn’t pure trash. This is the kind of couple that gives enemies to lovers trope a bad name.
- Another thing that was too little too late? The whole thing with Giuliano finding his place as the hard first of the bank, while Lorenzo is the brain and friendly face. I don’t love either of them as characters, but they have a solid dynamic this show refuses to play on for some reason.
- Also let me clown a little on the whitewashing of Sixtus IV., like, I get that The Borgias did the whole “morally ambiguous pope” thing sooner and better, but come the fuck on. Also was his cardinal nephew supposed to be part of the conspiracy, because IRL he very much was...
- Whitewashing of the Medici family is bearing some really nasty fruits here in the form of tragic flattening of the Pazzi conspiracy. Like, where are my liberatores vibes? The Caesar references?! Halooo??? THIS SHIT COULD’VE BEEN SO POIGNANT ASFJG...
- The flashback was... Eh? Contessina’s death had me rolling my eyes, which - you know you’ve fucked up when a best girl is literally dying and my reacting is a fucking eyeroll. At the same time, we finally got some glimpses of an alternate timeline where Francesco de’ Pazzi had a decent characterization. His pride, his penchant for violence, his contentious relationship with his uncle... This dude could’ve been so interesting with some better writing! As it is, my interest in him as a character lives off of scraps and his mighty cheekbones. Ugh.
- But, I cannot emphasize this enough, despite all of my minor complaints, this was a fucking great episode! The plot was well-thought out, fast paced, the chase at the beginning kicked ass, the twists and turns of the plot were exciting, yet made perfect sense, and Carlo, oh my poor sweet Carlo, my heart goes out to you... Also my girls Clarice and Mamma Lucrezia, god how I love them. Like, so much for my conviction that I’ll end this show without any new blorbos. It’s just that I am better at complaining than praising, sorry about that.
