oh boy, well, this story is vastly different depending on the phannie circles you were in at the time

me personally i saw their floor plans like, a week after they moved in. i always knew they had two flats, way before it even became a theory, but i was on here for two years like idk man! who's to say! because oh my god we were NOT supposed to know that shit. now, in my defence, it REALLY wasn't my fault. i didn't go looking for it nor did i ask to see it, however i did and to this day the whole thing was just very funny. weird! creepy! but funny. i'm not gonna say who found them in the first place, but in short the real estate listings stayed up for awhile after they moved in and bc of the location (near the first london flat, an address everyone had at that point) someone quite easily found them. said person emailed phil and phil got them taken down, but because phannies can't keep their mouths shut the contents of that listing did get spread around a fair bit

as for everyone who Wasn't being a creep like some of us, there were just clues that added up over time. firstly just like, the designs of the two flats are vastly different. you can tell which rooms belong to which flat just based on the look of them, and the difference in style combined with the fact that they had two kitchens made it so it just didn't make much sense for all of this to be one apartment. there was a whole thing about hardwood floors vs carpet, namely when phil tweeted about this centipede that got into "his room" and then dan happened to "walk past" at 2am. meanwhile the pics he posted of said centipede were on wooden floors (or laminate or whatever idk) and the amazingphil bedroom set very much had carpet. like, the centipede was in the moon room, i do believe the conclusion was

i suppose its similar to any genre/movement/aesthetic/whatever thats prefixed with a "post-," in that it retains the characteristic qualities of the niche it spawns from, while ditching the limitations of the recognizable convention. of course, which traits are deemed "characteristic" and which ones are "limitations" is a completely subjective distinction, but ill try to explain what some examples look like to me the first time i heard the term referenced was in this post by scribblechicken, which i came across after seeing this post by the same artist. warning for slight nsfw i suppose. at a glance, its a silly gag recontextualizing something horny into a practical inconvenience, but i also find it interesting that the gag here, can really only be made within the context of the greater convention within furry art. a sexy anthropomorphized airplane, is an absurd subject, yet one thats become commonplace as a "furry" concept. in a piece like this, the absurdity isnt in the subject itself, but the recognizably of it, the fact that it is an icon to be familiar with. i feel the typical furry perspective on the subject could be described as "an admiration for form," to whichever end that serves, but this imo shifts that lens, into an absurdist one, a loving recognition of familiarity to the unfamiliar

another artist id put in this category, at least at times, is unibrawn, particularly thinking about this work. there is a furry character present, but they're buried in abstract expressionism, almost to the point of having to search to find them. this is far from the "traditional" structure of furry art, to place the character in some way that the viewer is immediately drawn to them. yet still, i find it a celebration of furry design, as my eyes are drawn most strongly to the expression, a "cartoony" face being the lighthouse in a sea of texture.

one last example is qsfocus / qs75834 on twitter, particularly this piece. a complete inversion of the positive/negative space of a standard furry pic. in fact, there is no "star" of this pic, no likeness to view. the swirlings of tail and paw serve to suggest and imply a furry setting, yet all remain hidden within each other. the setting carries the familiarity, but the piece leaves you feeling its loneliness, with only glimpses in your periphery.

now, i dont wanna put words in mouths. i really have no idea if these readings are correct whatsoever, or even if these artists identify with "furry" "postfurry" labels beyond whats stated. but i cant deny a certain aesthetic intuition i get for these types of pictures, that goes beyond just an "esoteric art style" or whatever, i see a difference in intention! (and, notably, i see antithesis of that in other particular pieces by the same artists, that feel more overtly "furry"). at the end of the day its a new label ive only seen some people toss around, maybe its the beginnings of a niche recognition, maybe it blows over. maybe

what i found interesting in the context of my original post, was how, trying to find meaning in the concept of "post-furry" made me reevaluate how i view, furry. it was never smth i really saw as an "art movement" in and of itself, but it feels hard to deny when i consider it. there seems to be a cohesive framework of particular types of visages, and how they're consumed. and this differs from simply having animal features in an art piece, jokes aside, we can tell the difference between a modern furry pic and just an anthropomorphic animal in art. and these conventions are interesting! the way things like anthro planes, pooltoys, open species, niche kink, or even just particular art styles become sorta become "canonized" as icons is neat. the way that the art is seemingly presented to be consumed, gazed at for its model. to illicit certain feelings! and to take these icons, these feelings, these conventions, and stick them into other environments, or to see how they fare without their typical substance, is so cool! to branch them out from one niche community that has grown to recognize them as normality, and carry that normality into broader artistic recognition feels like something that warrants the donning of "post-furry"

post-furry is actually an incredibly interesting thing to think about from an art movement perspective

mingyu: is really just. whipped for you no matter what you wear - i imagine him to be the type to go all moony eyed for you whenever and wherever - when you're wearing sweats/ hoodie at home with him in the evening focusing on your work and also when you're out with him on the weekend in a Put Together Outfit in some artsy neighbourhood - the way the light hits your face from all angles is beautiful to him any and everywhere

woozi: man just loves to be comfortable, and he'd be so :0 at you in his comfortable hoodies and slippers going out with him on a convenience store run at 2am to get food for the studio so you don't starve to death while accompanying him through the night. howevER! sees you once in red carpet garb and is thrown off guard and makes him Notice that you can look like That. becomes shy 👉🏼👈🏼

seungkwan: loves you best in a simple, no frills outfit that's casual and makes you look effortlessly good,, but will absolutely be your Hype Man and be all tease-y about how good you look that day - but still prefers that homely, comfortable vibe you give off when you're in the clothes you're most comfortable in - i think he'd feel the most relaxed with you then

jeonghan: feels the warmest and the most comfortable when he feels like he doesn't have to be 'performing' or looking good for other people, and when you're in comfortable clothes and in your natural element, it makes him feel a lot more at ease and at home - is a physical reminder that he's no longer in the public eye and can be comfortable!

        the rothschild’s were the kind of family whose priorities were solely focused on their conglomerate, one that they had been building upon for generations. and while brynn and her siblings understood the magnitude of what their father did, it still didn’t provide any respite to his lack of attention. their mother doted upon them, showering them in adoration that they cherished up until her passing. at first they thought their mother’s death might have been the bridge that would have finally brought them into their father’s world, but it instead became another chasm between them, one that none of them were able to cross.

        their younger years were spent together, only having each other to rely upon and for awhile that was enough. they thrived in their studies, making it a point to be at the top of their classes in the hopes that their father would acknowledge them if they were successful, even if the moment itself would be fleeting. but as more award ceremonies were missed and another ballet recital forgotten, brynn became the first one to lose faith in ever building a relationship with their father.

        her acts of attention-seeking rebellion started off tame, with her arriving way past curfew, knowing her father would be none the wiser regardless. but when her father began showing interest in the two eldest siblings, declan and claire, while still ignoring the rest of them, she began her steady spiral of descent. she attended parties throughout the week and never came home until well into the next day, always looking worse for wear. social gatherings began to pass in a haze as she’d arrive intoxicated, always bordering on causing a scene until one of her siblings would pull her to the side to sober up. classes were ditched and her grades started to slip but it wasn’t until she started hanging out with the wrong crowd that her father showed any signs of acknowledging her little rebellion.

        with a new crowd of people encouraging her, showering her in the attention she had craved her whole life, her spiral into drugs happened quick and fast, with her not caring enough to stop it. while her father wasn’t aware about how far she had fallen, her siblings were and they attempted to stop the fast pace her life had taken on before she’d inevitably crash. but unfortunately for them, crash she did.

        finally deciding to become somewhat involved with his daughter’s life, brynn was shipped off to a school for troubled youth, spending her remaining high school years there until she was finally able to apply to university. she was no longer competitive enough for her old dream schools, a fact that loomed over head as if it were a thundercloud, but after a discussion with her older sisters, she tried her hand at applying for abroad schools, realizing that they were probably right when they said a change of pace and new scenery would do her some good.

        the distance the atlantic ocean provided between her and her father was like nirvana for the blonde. no one in larnswick knew her and while they had zero expectations for her, she found it refreshing to be able to live a life where she wasn’t aiming for somebody’s acknowledgement. her accomplishments became her own and the new start left her developing a reputation for hedonism that fit well with the reputation of the avenue.

        while most of her rebellious actions were left behind in her teenage years, the charismatic persona brynn presents to the world is half fabricated and half reality. with a winsome and gregarious nature that left you wanting to listen to what she had to say, it’s easy to overlook her biting remarks when they’re not directed towards you. lashing out became second nature whenever she felt cornered or like her control was slipping, remnants from a childhood of having to protect herself from the disappointment her father always brought her. selfish and needy, she has a tendency to seek affection and validation even if she won’t outright ask for it nor return it.

So I figured out I was bisexual a little over 5 years ago, after discovering it was a legitimate thing I could call myself whilst being on tumblr (2014 was a big time for lgbt discourse, especially in terms of the various terms and labels, most of which I hadn’t been familiar with...)... but tbh, I’d been trying to come to terms with who I was in terms of my sexuality for a long time

I grew up in a religious house (my parents were jehovah’s witnesses), but I never really remember anything vaguely homophobic being thrown around? And even if it did exist, I wouldn’t have been aware of it since I never had any question or doubt in my mind about the fact I was attracted to boys (I’d had a rly intense crush on this one boy for about 5 years through primary and secondary school... I still sometimes see his pics on facebook & u know what? I still would lol anyway...) my early days in school were mostly taken up by trying to get friends not be a total recluse (I’ve always had trouble making friends and connecting to people it’s no biggie it’ ss fineee........ ok carry on>>)

So going into secondary school I never felt that I was anything other than straight? But one thing I vividly remember was the way people in my year treated girls that were suspected to be gay... in short? they were seen as ‘dirty’... it was something perverted, and highly sexualised... (as in: being a lesbian meant masturbating a lot... (i mean: this says something about wider misogyny & demonising of female pleasure but like.. another time, another time) & also making out loads with other girls)...  like no one ever came up and said ‘being gay is wrong’, but whenever rumours spread about a girl being suspected as gay and they didn’t deny them, people would suddenly start whispering about them... & it’s super strange to me that this was the same culture that if two female friends were really close and got labelled as gay, but came out and were like ‘oh no we’re straight ha ha we just kiss at parties and touch each others boobs’ or whatever, people would be completely ok with it?

So I never really gave myself the opportunity to go into this... I was never comfortable enough to be super ‘close’ to any of my female friends (intimacy issues: we don’t have to to get into all THAT right now though lol ahahaha....ha...) & I knew I wasn’t so called ‘skanky’ like all the girls who were labelled as being actually gay...

& this was all happening as I found myself actually being interested in looking at girls... (like what can I say? boobs are friggin nice to look at lol...) But i always saw it as innocent intrigue, since I was only 11/12 at the time so hadn’t grown into my own at the time... and the fact I felt more comfortable being touched by or talking to or like literally doing anything with girls? it’s just cos boys are gross there’s no other reason behind it!!.... right?

I think a big thing is that a lot of girls are so open with each other... like they’ll compliment each other’s boobs or asses, or comment on how pretty they are or their makeup skills or whatever.. you’ll be hard pressed to find a girl that goes all ‘no homo’ on her friend except.... I feel like that was me lol? I remember getting compliments from other girls about my appearance (didn’t happen often though pffft) or anything really and feeling all mushy inside, and giving the compliments back felt like a big deal to me? idk I suppose all the warning signs were there that hidden under layers of introverted awkwardness was a lil bi demon just waiting to come out lol!

So yadyyada, 2014 happens and I finally realise I’m bi... I just remember reading something on here about bisexuality and being like ‘oh damn yeh... dat me??’... like it felt amazing to be able to finally accept that I actually like girls too?? & one of the first people I told was this guy I became friends with when I first went to college... & he told me he was also bi and I remember thinking ‘wow!!!!! so it’s actually real?! it’s not just something you see on tumblr from random strangers, it’s an actual thing people I know irl experience wowwowowow’... I also came out to another online friend who I was close to, and it felt really amazing... but I could never translate that into actually coming out in real life (not to mention life was kinda shit at this time and I had like 0 friends but hEY, that’s not for now kiddos lol)...

So yeh, I’ve never actually come out to anyone... not properly anyway... I’ve always been very open about my sexuality online, but in real life I’ve never really discussed it with ... anyone? & it’s not because I’m ashamed in anyway, and it’s not even as if I’m that scared I just... I’ve never felt the need to? But after seeing Dan’s video, plus it’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot recently, this is something I really wanna do... see; I was so ready to live life just being ‘straight until I maybe get a girlfriend one day’, so ready to only tell people if they ask me but I just realised... isn’t that partly living a lie? who I’m with doesn’t change my sexuality, so why is it something I’m seemingly so scared of declaring to the world??

I vividly have this memory, before I realised I was bi, and I have no idea of why or when or any of the details, but me and my mum were watching something, and bisexuality was mentioned, and either my mum agreed with, or she said something along the lines of ‘bisexuals are more likely to cheat’, and that’s really stuck with me.... it’s something that’s always nagging in the back of my mind, and it... really fucking hurts lol... I know for a fact my mum will love my regardless of who I end up sleeping with or whatever, she may be pretty conservative in her mindset of things but she’s always willing to be open minded which I really love about her... but knowing this inbuilt stereotype of bisexuality is something she both acknowledges and somewhat agrees with is really... sad...

I’m 21 years old, I’ve been in one relationship in my life which only last a few months and involved no kissing and only occasional hand holding because I was too terrified to do any more (again: subject for aNOTHER day lol), and I know for a goddamn FACT that my sexuality would never make me more likely to be unfaithful to someone I claim to love...I really hate that this is associated with the label, but it’s something I know that I am...  why on earth would I change that or try to be something else when I know that /this/ is me!

I think one of the biggest things putting me off ‘coming out’ is having to explain yourself... like dan howell made a 45 minute long video discussing his own sexuality and experiences cos he knew people wouldn’t just accept it if he just tweeted ‘yo dawgs imma queer lol #swag’ one day, and it feels kinda annoying that queer people/lgbtq+ people feel like we can’t just...... be ourselves without having to justify or explain it?! (even me making this post is solidifying that factor lol... it’s a mess lol)... like I just wanna live my life being bi, is that so much to ask for lol?

I am so so SO grateful we have so much more bi, and lgbtq+ in general, representation in media these days.... it’s goddamn beautiful to see our stories, and the stories of our community being told and cherished by millions, and that’s really gotta be something to rejoice in this pride month!!!

(side note: dan also talks about gender identity & I have literally never related to anything more lol... like 90% of the time I don’t feel like what people classify as ‘womanly’ things... but also I am a woman? idk man lol just call me a formless blob or whatever it was he said lol as a baby no one really knew if I was a girl or boy since my mum mainly dressed me in yellow & I had like 2 strands of hairs on my head lol... damn I miss those days lol)

i never rly considered myself ugly but other ppl did and i sort of jst wrote them off as haters... but retrospectively i was kind if unkempt. i didnt rly know what to do w my appearance. i also had rly terrible acne and was a lot heavier and i know that neither of those things took away from the fact that i had a nice face (& i never rly intensely hated my body or anything but being able to control how it looks now feels better than whatever the hell i was doing previously) but to other ppl they did. and it created this weird dissonance in my head i think. where i didnt hate my appearance but also recognized that ppl didnt like it for rzns that eluded me.

i finally got around to editing the photos that i took when i visited the subway museum two weeks ago

found out about the museum through some featured blog post i think?? and i thought it was pretty cool that they had interactive zones and games?? after all museums are usually just a Look But No Touch kind of deal so anything different would be intriguing

but the promise of a Fun Time didn’t completely sell me the idea of going uNTIL i saw the glorious definitely-not-a-footlong subway sandwich plush in their merch section and i knew i had to acquire one for myself

yeahhh something about fast food merch rly appeals to me :// can’t help it

anyway i didn’t wanna go alone so i got G to come with (and conveniently the subway museum was close to the national museum so we could go back to see the exhibition we missed the last time)

in order to get a pair of tickets for the museum we had to spend at least $20 in a single receipt at subway and that was ez game bc G can eat a footlong by himself

usually i’d order just a sandwich but my adventurous spirit prompted me to also get the broccoli and cheese soup

it was mega salty tho :-( curiosity gave me hypertension

when you first enter the museum you get to do a quiz to learn some neat facts about subway

the next section was prob my fav bc THERE WAS AN ACTUAL SUBWAY COUNTER FOR PHOTO OPS!!!

too bad they didn’t have fake ingredients to go with the set but i think the kids would have a field day with any loose pieces so maybe it was a good decision not to have any

the lighting isn’t exactly the most flattering and i look like i’m ded inside (honestly?? exuding the perfect amount of energy for a Tired™ f&b staff) bUT I KINDA WANNA MAKE THESE MY LINKEDIN PROFILE PICS LMAO

for some reason there’s a room dedicated to food panda?? the inside was just a stark contrast to the rest of the exhibition

minigames were stationed all around the place and completing each game gives you different subway ingredients (like sauces and breads and meats and veggies)

at the end of the exhibition you can assemble your own custom subway combination with whatever ingredients you collected

on the left is the squeeze-the-sauce game and on the right is the slap-the-dough game

and holy shit i was not expecting a workout session?? my arms were so achy after smacking the buttons and squeezing tubes

there was also a spot-the-difference type of game for meats (i quite like that one bc it’s the least physically exhausting) and a fruit ninja type of game for the veggies

i didn’t know that you had to replay the games to collect all the ingredients bc the rewards were random :-( rnjesus did not give me tuna

ended up picking some ham type of meat and named my subway combination after chi

too bad chi just missed the sebun but wow that’s a lot of sandwiches made

i wanted to continue conquering the minigames to see if i can collect all the ingredients but that plan was scrapped pretty quickly when we saw how crowded the place was getting and how long the queues for the games were

so!! i decided to take another walk around the museum except this time chi and cha will be out to play too~

someone thought chi and cha were part of the display and started taking photos immediately after i left the scene askdkdsalds

idk if i should’ve said anything?? like maybe they just wanted to take a pic of the set bUT they were specifically taking close-ups where chi and cha were so?? i just let them?? chi and cha are cute so why not right??

My trip to the happiest place on earth: Heroes and Villains Fan Fest

This is going to be really long I am sorry in advance, but I feel like so many celebrities have been letting us down lately so here are great stories about actors we should stan. 

I bolded every actors name so if you are interested in just that particular actor and how they behave with fans you can jump there!

Some things to know about this convention:

It was HVFF Chicago and Walker Stalker Con Chicago, all rolled into one. So most of the focus was on The Walking Dead cast, like Norman Reedus and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. 

I was pretty much only there for the cast of The Gifted and The Defenders. It got WILD on the Walking Dead side.

I also went to everything Riverdale because my friend that went with me loves that show. 

Day 1 actors: Emma Dumont, Sean Teale, Blair Redford, Hayley Lovitt, Élodie Yung

Day 2 actors: Emma Dumont, Sean Teale, Blair Redford, Hayley Lovitt, Élodie Yung, Mike Colter, Lili Reinhart, Madelaine Petsch. 

DAY 1

A lot of you know that Lorna Dane aka Polaris is my all time favorite superhero. So knowing that Emma Dumont was going to be there was v overwhelming. But I brought her some of her fave snacks and a necklace and raced over to her table. There were probably 8-10 people in front of me but the second I walked up she screamed and pointed at me (in full Lorna costume) and goes “YAS QUEEN ITS LORNA” and I got really really really excited about what was coming. She was also bothering Sean and kept sending him her own headshot.

She chatted with all of her fans and as I was getting closer she kept turning to me and chatting with me along with the others in line. When it was finally my turn she kept going on and on about how excited she was to see another Lorna (as she was in full costume) and was SO excited. We chatted for about 10 minutes about Polaris and why we both loved her so much and then she told me HELLA SEASON 2 SPOILERS THAT I PINKY PROMISED TO NEVER TELL SO I AM SORRY BUT WILL NOT SAY A WORD and then I gave her the present and she read the card first and started to cry she was so excited. She screamed when she opened all of her snacks. And then I gave her the necklace and she cried because she loved it so much which honestly amazed me. I was wearing mine too and so she took lots of pics of us in our necklaces. It was of Polaris, the north star, and she said it would always guide her. 

Then we took probably 100 pictures on both of our phones and they are all incredible. She kept hugging me and after about 20 minutes of holding up the line I left and I sat and cried for a good minute because wow she was the most kind person in the world. 

When I saw her later in the day for our photo ops she told the photographer that she was making a weird face so she wanted a second photo with me and then when she hugged me goodbye she told me to pick my fave which is honestly such a queen move. 

At the end of the day she posted a photo of the two of us captioned “I found Polaris” on her insta story and I cried. 

Once I got my shit together I went to Sean Teale, who plays Marcos. BOY OH BOY THIS MAN IS HANDSOME. He was so smooth and that is the only way I can describe him. While he was chatting with another fan I talked to his brother who was so funny and incredible. More about his brother later. So I greet Sean and he smiles and hugs me and loves that I am dressed as Lorna and jokes that if Emma sees me she’ll lose it so just be ready and I told him I was with her for 20ish minutes and he said yup that’s about right. So we chat and talk about season 2 and he kept ragging on his costars (mostly Blair). Then he stopped me mid-sentence and was like wow you have like “mutant colored eyes”. And I about fainted and he was like “omg I’m sorry I mean that as a compliment, it’s like you’re one of us” and I had to keep reassuring him that it was the best compliment he could have given me. Then we took our pic and he hugged me and he smells rly good and he kissed the top of my head and sent me on my merry way. 

Next was Blair Redford. I thought I was ready to meet one of the loves of my life. I was wrong. I have had the BIGGEST crush on him for forever. So walking up to his table was so intimidating. But this giant teddy bear was so warm and welcoming the nerves went away so fast. He told me I looked great as Lorna and again we chatted about The Gifted duh and we talked about his broken foot (which everyone had a different story for what happened. I think I am the only fan that knows the truth) and how he wants to be a writer for the show at some point. And then he stood up to take a pic (which he did not do for anyone else) and had me check it to make sure that I was happy with it before hugging me and I swear in that moment my crops were watered and my skin was cleared. 

Then I met Hayley Lovitt who plays Sage on The Gifted and The Wasp in Ant-Man. She kept telling me how nervous she was because it was her first con and didn’t really know how to act around fans. There weren’t too many people at her table and she was in the mood to talk so we stayed and had a grand time with her. We talked about loving milkshakes and the show and how hot Blair is and it was just a really positive experience. 

As we went to leave I saw that Élodie Yung’s line was empty which had not happened all day, so I seized the moment and ran in real quick. I got my money out to buy an autograph and she stopped her manager and was like no no I’ll just do it. So that was a queen move. And then we talked about Elektra and how she thinks they could bring her back again because hey why not. Her French accent is literally so mindblowing-ly beautiful I cannot get over it. I was just in awe of her the entire time we were talking. Then we got on the subject of how hot it was in the convention and I joked that I am really prone to fainting (which I am whoops) and she was like “No we can’t have that” so she had me sit with her and had her handler get me some water. So I sat with her and had my water and that is how my day one ended. Pretty wild. 

Day 2

I am going to tell this day in chronological order bc it is important.

I went back to Emma Dumont because of course I did and she literally yelled “GRACE OMG YOU’RE BACK HOW ARE YOU” while she was talking to other fans, and then explained to everyone in line that I dressed as Lorna and that we were best friends. So as I am waiting I am talking to her manager and Sean’s brother, who happens to be his manager. They were just really chill guys and you guys that is the BEST way to get perks when you are at these things. MAKE FRIENDS WITH MANAGERS. So it gets back to me and Emma is her regular chatty self. I told her how much I appreciated her posting the pic and that I am sad because she had all the best pics of us on her phone and she goes “Oh girl let me send them to you what’s your number?” and I told her and boom- my phone buzzes. Pics from an unknown number with an LA area code. Emma texted me off her own damn phone and now I have her number and I am waiting for the perfect moment to text her. I will keep you posted on that. We chat. She’s great. She tells me that I have to come back before the end of the day to say goodbye. 

I catch Sean Teale’s brother/manager and ask if it is cool if I just go up and say hi to Sean again without getting an autograph and he was like yeah of course. So I head back up and he goes “My favorite mutant eyes! How are you love?” and then KISSES MY CHEEK AND HUGS ME AND I LOST IT. I mean I was not ok at all. He asked me about my day and everything I did yesterday and he was just so genuine and I felt like he really cared about everything that I was saying. It was magical. 

Then I went to a panel with Élodie Yung and Mike Colter, aka Elektra and Luke Cage. We got to line up to ask questions and some how by some miracle I was first in line. Mike was on facetime with his daughter because she liked to see all of her dad’s fans and it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. When they sent the questions over to the line Mike said “is the first question coming from Daisy Johnson?” and I wanted to die I was so excited. I got to ask a question and they gave really great answers. I’ll post the video on my insta! They talked about a lot of really great Defenders stuff and it was really awesome. 

Then we went to Lili Reinhart and Madelaine Petsch’s booths. I am going to start this by telling everyone I have not seen one minute of Riverdale. My friend that was with me loves the show so I went with her. They seemed pretty nice, but they did not stand for photos and everything felt very rushed. I did really like one of Madelaine’s people, who recognized that I was Daisy and talked to me about his time working at Marvel Comics. That was fun. Nothing negative to say about the girls but everything felt very strict and not as fun. Could be management, could be the fact that everything is a gentle amount of chaos. Who knows. 

It was about time for us to leave so it was time to say one last goodbye to my friends from The Gifted. When we hopped back into Emma Dumont’s mile-long line, Sean Teale’s brother/manager saw us and gave me a look, so I went to talk to him while my friend held my spot in line. I told him that I had a comic I wanted Emma to sign and that we had to leave soon because we had about 5 hours of driving to do to get home. We chatted for about 10 minutes, then I rejoined my friend in line. We waited for about 20 minutes and only about 5 people had made it through. There was no way we were going to be able to see Emma again, so we cut our loses and jumped over to Sean’s line, which had almost no one in it. His brother/manager asked what I was doing and I told him I couldn’t wait but he was like “but! you wanted that signed!!” And I was like yeah I just can’t wait and I am really bummed. 

So he goes “well here I’ll get it for you”. He walks over to Emma, who is about 5 feet away, stops her convo with a fan and goes “Hey can you sign this real quick for me?” and she kinda gave him a look because why does he need something signed? And then he pointed at me and she goes “OMG GRRRRACEEEEE ARE YOU LEAVING??” signs it, comes over and gives me a hug, tells me to be safe, and to keep in touch. I will be eternally grateful to this man. I gave him a hug and told him he is the best person on the planet because it is true. 

All this time I am in Sean’s line so it is my turn and we chat some and I showed him what I had Emma sign and he tells us to be safe, gives me a big hug and another head kiss and it was everything. 

We pop by Hayley’s table and give her a quick “hey” and a hug and she told us that she had just seen our posts on twitter about meeting her day one. She is the sweetest.

No one is in Blair’s line so I ask if it is okay to say goodbye. It is at this point that Sean’s brother and Emma’s manager come over to talk to Blair’s manager and she literally could not care less because she knows that I am in love with him so it is fine. I talked to Blair for about 25 minutes about script ideas and plot lines before I literally have to leave the convention so I give him a hug and it’s out the doors I go.
