Another night, another stressed-out Christopher. While I already felt out-of-my-depth when he came to me with his existential romance crisis, his current issue proved to be even more herculean in nature.
“Chris. For the umpteenth time. I don’t know how to make the glow stars stick to your ceiling.”
“But I need them to! And they’re supposed to stick, it said so on the box-”
“It also said to clean the area thoroughly before application,” I said dryly, crossing my ankles and settling deeper into the blankets on his bed, “And when exactly did you wipe down your ceiling?”
Chris harrumphed. “The universe is working against me.”
“I’m sure it is, honey. Can we please start this now?” I gestured to his monitor, some dumb lawyer show on Netflix - Coats or Jackets or something. Chris told me earlier how much I’d love it, to which I had replied, “We’ll see.” The last show he tried to get me to watch with him was deplorable, and it took a long time for me to see Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart, and KJ Appa as anything other than the god-awful actors Riverdale painted them to be.
“I wanna try one more time,” he said, stepping ungraciously over my legs and stretching towards the ceiling.
“Is it made of plaster?” I asked, tilting my head upwards, trying very hard to avoid looking straight up his loose basketball shorts.
“What, this?” He pointed upward. “I think. Why?”
I hummed in reply and began tapping away on my phone. Chris shrugged and went back to his Sisyphysian task. The stars would stick initially, but kept falling after a while and stabbing us in the rudest of places - an hour ago I got a crescent moon to the boob.
Soft music drifted down the stairs outside his bedroom door - Matt must be playing something in the kitchen. The four of us ate dinner earlier and as Chris made it, I was a guest, and Nick didn’t feel good, he’d been on clean-up.
“Hey.” I pulled on the hem of Chris’s shorts. “This says if we use rubbing alcohol to clean the area first instead of just like, a damp cloth or something, that should work. It also says a hot glue gun will help it stick better.”
Chris put his hand on my head, thumbing my soft baby hairs that would never stay put - his way of saying ‘thank you’. “Do we even have a hot glue gun?”
“No idea,” I murmured as I leaned against his leg.
“Time to find out!” He scrambled over me, stepping on my arm and almost tea-bagging me.
“You fuck,” I said, smacking him on the arm as he ran out of the room giggling.
“Hey do we have rubbing alcohol and a hot glue gun?”
Matt startled and shook his head, leaning over the sink. “Jesus, you scared the fuck outta me,” he huffed. “Alcohol, yes, in your bathroom, glue gun, no.”
“Well shit. ‘Preciate it,” Chris said, patting him on the back and turning for the stairs.
“Hey.”
“What?”
“She okay?”
Chris’s brows knitted together. “Whaddaya mean?” “She just seems kinda stressed, ‘s all,” Matt said. “Somethin’ else on the mind.”
“She’s good as far as I know.”
“K. Come up behind me like that again, I’ll kick you in the nuts.”
“Whatever,” Chris responded, grinning his way back downstairs.
“There’s rubbing alcohol in my bathroom.”
I scrunched my face. “Since when?”
“No idea. Can you get one of my t-shirts, we’ll use that for the cleaning thingy.”
“Yeah,” I said, unwrapping myself from his blankets and stepping lazily toward his closet. Chris was already down one shirt due to the fact that I’d ripped my going out top just as we got home earlier. The “kickback” at Tara’s felt more like a rager and I considered it a miracle no one ended up naked. While digging around for something for me to wear, Chris had found the unopened bag of glow-in-the-dark stars, and the rest was history.
I tugged on the faded tee now, bunching the front end up in my hands as I rifled around to the back of his closet. It all smelled like him, piney with a hint of spice that makes your nose feel cold and tingly. I felt goosebumps rise on my arms. “You don’t care about this one do you?” I said quickly, trying to move on.
He turned and shook his head, dark, soft curls falling around his eyes. “Toss it.” In my defense, I did my best. It’s not my fault the damn thing got flung halfway back to the door when he smacked it out of the air instead of catching it, and I told him so with a huff. “Sure, sure, blame me,” Chris said, grinning.
“I will,” I replied, bending over to pick it up.
Chris felt his chest cave in. There she was, baby hairs falling awry, his massively oversized crewneck slipping halfway off her shoulders, body lit up by the soft light from his screensaver. His knees buckled, and he stepped out to steady himself on the plush bed. She noticed - of course she did - and tilted her head. “You good there, hotrod?” Her smile was slightly uneven, like it always had been before, and Chris wanted to kiss it very badly for the rest of his life and probably after that as well.
“I’m fantastic,” he said, blinking the thoughts away from his mind.
“Okay,” I laughed, throwing the offending shirt back at him. “I’ll go get the rubbing alcohol and then can we please watch your damn show?”
“So rowdy. Yeah, hurry up.”
I shook my head and walked out of his room, turning the small corner into his bathroom and flicking on the light. My toothbrush rested on his counter. He only hung up his towels because he knew I would try to do it my way, and he hated my way. I looked at myself in the mirror.
A moment passed, filled of my own wonderings about what Chris saw when he looked at me. Was it me - the way I looked, my individual features, did they jump out at him? Some were impossible to miss…they sure did jump out at me. Or did his brain focus on other things? Did he even care how I looked, when my physical characteristics stacked up to the years of friendship we’d already put behind us, the late nights, early mornings, the adventures, the bad times…I pulled the rubbing alcohol out from under his sink before I forgot and opened up my phone. Swiping out of the “how to stick glow stars to plaster” search tab, I went to our messages.
iMessage chat with Orange Juice:

Then they all arrived to pick me up for Tara’s, Chris hugged me, and we said nothing more about it. Chris. I should get this back to him. Reaching for the light, I looked for the rubbing alcohol, felt the switch with my other hand, grabbed the bottle, and flipped the lights off without looking. So it came as a terrifying surprise when I ran smack into Chris’s chest. “FUCKSHITPISSIMGONNAKILLYOU,” I nearly shouted at him, letting my hands rest on his chuckling chest, panting with the overwhelming surge of adrenaline.
“‘Fuck’, ‘shit’, and ‘piss’?” he snickered, covering my hands with his own. “That’s insane.”
I stalked past him into his room, tossing the bottle behind my shoulder - he would catch it or he wouldn’t and then I would know karma was on my side. “I don’t wanna discuss it.”
“Okay then,” Chris said, still laughing as he poured the awful-smelling stuff onto his ancient shirt, balled it up, and began to scrub his ceiling. “What took you so long in there?”
I did not want to answer him. “You’re doing it wrong,” I huffed. I climbed up onto the bed with him, reaching up to take his makeshift rag.
Chris’s mouth slid into a sly smile, and he raised it farther above my head than I could reach. “Am I?”
I stepped closer to him, pressed against his chest like I’d been before. Showing him my best doe-eyes, I whined, “Give it, Chris, please.”
His tongue swiped over his lips, both of which now hung open. Chris looked down at me and I looked up at him. The height difference was slight, but now the mere inches felt incredibly important in the moment’s silence. “What?” I whispered, barely more than a breath.
Jesus Christ, girlie, Chris groaned inwardly. She just looked so cute, and she had always been so sweet to him, and she took him to Cane’s and listened to his mostly-incoherent stream of consciousness, and she loved his brothers and she helped him hang up glow stars and she might actually be the most perfect person he’d ever met.
“Chris?” her voice, though soft, held him in a painful vice grip. “What’s wrong?”
He loosed a breath, lowering his hand and letting his arms settle around her, gathering at the small of her back. Chris pressed his lips against her forehead, resting his against it when her wrists crossed behind his neck.
“Nothin’s wrong,” he murmured, a humored smile making its way across his face. He heard his voice change with the mounting anxiety in his chest. “Jus’ like bein’ with ya, ‘s all.”
My stomach fluttered at his words. “I like being with you too, bubs.” An idea sparked in my brain, and before any of my self-preservation instincts could kick in, I dropped my hands from his neck and dug them under his arms, tickling mercilessly. Chris’s eyes lit up in a flash, cowing his back to get away from me while simultaneously making a beeline for my ribs to lay waste to them in a similar fashion.
“You little fucker!” he cackled, dancing around on the bed to avoid my hands.
“AKSPBTH, GET AWAY GET AWAY GET AWAY!” I was shrieking with glee as we tumbled in a writhing heap on his pillows, gasping for breath while he continued his unhindered attack on my body. “ChrisChrisChrisChris-” I panted, making ultimately futile attempts to wriggle out from  under him, “Please, truce, truce, I’m begging-”
Laughing still, he sat back on his knees, arms still on either side of me. Chris’s hair fell so messy above me, his chain dangling just above my nose. I gave him a downturned smile.
“Pinned ya,” he huffed triumphantly.
I lightly smacked his chest with a daring snort of derision. “Like you’d do anything about it.”
“Shut up.” Chris, still smiling that heart-wrenchingly adorable smile of his, lowered his head until our noses touched. “Hi.” He blinked his big blue eyes comically at me.
“Hey,” I replied softly, another laugh lilting quietly from my throat. I found myself enjoying this moment very much.
Chris tilted his head, hair swinging with him. “Whatcha thinkin’ ‘bout?”
I giggled. “Nothin’.”
He huffed, scrunching his nose and rubbing it against mine, his chain slipping over my chin, and I couldn’t help but laugh again. He tended to bring that out of me. My arms reached up to wrap around his back. “Come here,” I whispered, and as he lowered his chest to mine, I felt his arms slip up around my head. I nuzzled into his neck and held him.
We lay like that for a while, the pressure on my body soothing me, his scent engulfing me. I could get used to this.
“Hey.”
“Hey.”
“I wanna talk about our conversation.”
“From the other night?”
“Mhm.”
“We can. Do you wanna sit up?”
“No,” he grumbled, doing it anyway.
“Poor baby,” I teased, “Your life is so very hard.” My heart felt full. Something was changing. I could sense it somehow.
Chris blushed at my words, shaking his head and hiding his gaze. He settled back against his headboard to the right side of me while I tugged a blanket up to my shoulders. “You cold?” he asked, but I shook my head.
“‘S just soft, that’s all. What do you wanna talk about?” I asked, tucking my arm under his.
Chris squeezed it and took a deep breath. “I said I wasn’t sure how I loved you. And we talked about how we don’t have much romantic love experience.”
“Mhm.” I waited for him to continue.
“And I just…” Chris laid his head on mine. “I…feel something…for you. But I don’t think it’s fair to even tell you that because I really don’t know if it’s anything more than that friend-type of love.” The sigh he let out was shaky. I stayed stock-still, unsure of what he was getting at and hoping to god my heart wasn’t about to be crushed. “And then I started thinkin’ about what you said about love…how it was like, a bunch of choices you make.” His right hand reached over, tentative and uncertain, touching the arm I’d tucked next to him ever so lightly. “And then you said a buncha’ stuff about my family but you didn’t say anythin’ about yourself.” He turned his head and looked down at me, his face dark in the soft light.
Her eyes flicked up to meet his and Chris’s heart went into cardiac arrest. There was so much trust in her gaze, she might as well have opened her soul wide open for him to look at, and he wanted to drown himself in it. His lips parted in a disbelieving sigh - this girl, this woman, she’d been with him for so long, always patient, always willing to listen, she never pushed him but god did she challenge him, she made him laugh, she made him want to act better…he wanted to be a person she would be proud to know. Maybe even…maybe even someone she would want to call her boyfriend. “I care about you,” he said, his heart thumping with fear. “I don’t know if that's romantic love or not but...” he paused. God, he was so scared. “If you’ll let me…I wanna find out with you.”
And there it was - the confession. Chris had metaphorically ripped his heart from its cage and handed it to her, and he was terrified over what she’d do with it.
“Love…is waking up every day and choosing that person regardless of what the day is gonna throw at you.”
Her voice echoed in his head. Chris chose her. Even if she didn’t choose him back.
I exhaled slowly. My chest almost caved in from the weight of his words. “Chris…” I whispered, tears welling in my eyes. “You have…no idea…how long I’ve wanted to hear that.” I wanted to hug him, desperately, but I was afraid of breaking him. He looked so scared, scared of love, scared of messing up, scared of being less than expected or not enough…he looked so scared.
“Yeah?” he asked softly, unable to look away.
“Yeah,” I nodded, my hand moving up slowly, so slowly, to touch his cheek. Gingerly, I traced my knuckle down his stubble, and his sweet blue eyes closed at my touch. My own did their best to blink away tears, but ultimately failed.
Suddenly, the most unrelated thought occurred to me. “Chris,” I whispered, “Look at the stars.” He tilted his head up in awe at the glow stars that had stuck to the ceiling after all this time. Not a single planet loose, not a moon out of place. They covered the plaster with a hazy blue hue, casting gentle shadows down his neck.
“Holy shit,” he said with a soft laugh. “They really did stay up there.”
It all felt like one big giant metaphor to me, but maybe that interpretation was a bit on-the-nose. I elected to keep it to myself. I smiled at him, hoping I didn’t look disastrous with those damn tear tracks down my cheeks.
“Heyyy, hey…” Chris murmured, holding my face with both hands and thumbing the product of my overwhelming emotions away, “I got you. I’m not goin’ anywhere.”
“Neither am I,” I promised. I kissed his palm on impulse, eyes darting up to his. Is this okay?
Of course it is.
I continued my ministrations, taking his wrist in hand and kissing up to the tips of his fingers, curling them down to move up his knuckles until I reached the back of his hand. He let me, a curious expression on his face. With my final kiss, I made direct eye-contact with him. He breathed out and let his hand fall, his thumb catching softly on my bottom lip, the rest of his fingers fitting neatly under my chin.
“Please let me kiss you,” he whispered, his brows furrowed, his eyelids heavy, his gaze addicted to my lip, the bottom of which sprung plushly back into place when his thumb let go of it. He looked like a man starved.
I slid my fingers into the soft, loose curls at the back of his neck and tilted my head, letting his lips press so sweetly against mine. My stomach tingled, butterflies fluttering to life in my chest. Chris’s hands slipped up my back, hugging me into him, his nose pressing against my cheek as he kissed me again and again, slowly, patiently. His breath filled my mouth, and mine his. I probably exhaled a bit of my soul too. The thought made me smile and he murmured against my skin. “What is it, pretty girl?” He kissed the edges of my smile, nosing my blushed face, relishing the closeness now allowed to him.
“I just like you,” I said shyly.
He grinned, making a fist and yanking his elbow back to his side. “Yesssss.”
I erupted into giggles and he just watched me contentedly.
Pulling away for the briefest of moments to adjust my knees, I looked up to see Chris, looking like he’d been shot. “Come back…I wasn’t done,” he grumbled.
“You’re so whiny,” I teased, holding his cheeks in my hands.
He smiled impishly. “I jus’ like ya.”
“You like sitting here with me?” I asked, stroking the shell of his ear, drowning in his eyes like he was in mine.
“I like sitting here with you,” Chris confirmed, his voice gentle and low. “I want ya’ to be my girl.”
“Well, I want you to be my boy,” I huffed, grinning. “What about that?”
“I think I’ll live,” he replied, tilting his head to kiss me again.
The end.

WIP WEDNESDAY
lovely angst master @alpydk tagged me and OH MY TYRANT you read my RE fanfic so far?! 😱 Thank you for the kudos 😘💜 kudos back love 💖
So I shall answer in perfect WIP and thank you very very much for the tag, because it is:
☣⭐RESIDENT EVIL DAY!⭐☣
🏖⭐☣Happy Arklay S.T.A.R.S. Mansion Incident Day 07/24/1998☣⭐🏖
(Should I tag someone? Well @damadisangue and @nihil-ism I heard you were working on some RE thingys...share on this holy day with us what you got so far. Only if you want to, of course 😉)
So here is my WIP on my Resident Evil Umbrella Asylum fic
Have some angst and bloody science horror:
WIP
Screams and witnesses forever barking and yet unheard. The medical cutlery was not smeared with blood, but accurately arranged, but even the smell of disinfectant could not disguise the cutlery’s silent cries for blood. The man in his lab coat let out a brief sigh and slowly took off his black sunglasses before he lifted his athletic figure from his desk and sat down on the chair next to the test rig: Icy blue eyes that were at least as cold as the black lenses of the glasses. “Just answer me the questions; it saves me time. Then I’ll be in a better mood and it could save you extra pain.” It was a fact he stated here, but given the coldness of his eyes, it might as well have been mistaken for a threat.
….. The blonde woman didn’t know much more about Sheila than her name. But that was enough for her. To the tormentors, they were all the same. And that may be true, that they all became equal, but in a good way. They were all in the same hell. They had to be there for each other. Then no one was left alone. And then a name was enough. You could take so much from them. And if they didn't manage to get to know their stories to take them to the grave or tell them further, at least  keep, hold on tight and desperate on the names Umbrella wanted to take away from them. Their name, their identity, their humanity, their lives, their individuality. The blonde turned her gaze to the right and gazed into the black-haired woman‘s face. Harleen prayed to God not to take Sheila away. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . “You’re faster than me, don’t turn around! I’m right behind you!” she exclaimed to him, her voice urging in haste. So Jack hurried on, sporty long legs, go much more distance than Harleen. “Please help me. Don’t leave me here. Please. Please. I have children. And a husband. Please I want to see my children again. ” Harleen stopped and looked down the aisle. Jack. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
and I also procrastinate with some unholy, shameless smut 😏🤭
That kept him from moving his hips against her. Because that would have been extremely rude. Without giving her time to breathe, he quickly pushed her back. They collided with his desk and his firm body pressed her hard against it before he used his arms to put her on the desk, pushing her legs apart to stand between them. Muffling noises pressed into his mouth, but his imperious lips and tongue would not let her lips go, and her nose needed to be enough for her to breath. She opened her mouth to breath better. That was a mistake. Wesker's tongue slid more tightly between her lips and defiantly held her own tongue. The beauty was that after initial surprise, the young woman never just kept quiet and passively let things happen. No, as expected, her tongue reacted to the game challenge and danced around his. With the lace stroking, necked, sliding. Just as little as she was passive when he fucked her from behind, bent over on his desk.
(no not this one, this is the light vanilla part. The unoly part remains under wraps yet, unless someone needs to know.)

hello! i got to say, i really love your works for swapped au like 😩😩😩😩
and i was wondering how the worst gen trio and the monster trio react to reader-san apparently having a first mate or ally who basically is them? and by that, i mean like... has the same personality as them.
meanwhile, reader-san is just easily tolerating and going with them easily.
example is law-like character making plans and they either help them/him with their/his plans and even follows them (unlike a certain someone), zoro-like character who often naps and both of them just have nap sessions anddd lastly, (your favourite victim) kid-like character who is usually cocky and easily angered and reader-san's there easily calming them/him down.
ps. another thing for kid-like character is that they often cheer for him in the background when he starts unnecessary fights before pulling him away when it gets too far or when they think it's enough.
pss. god, imma say it again, i love your works. keep up the good work, sweetie *another spiderman with a camera meme*
a/n - ah yes. My favorite victim 💀 pls I cackled at this anon- tysm I’m so glad you like the au as much as I do- 💜 Aw- I appreciate the Spider-Man meme 🥺 I’ll smile for the camera just for you ✨ I love this idea so much you have no idea😭😭 sorry this took so long- this is wayyyyyyy overdue
Warnings ⚠️ - g/n reader, another daily reminder that I bully kid to no end 💀, swapped au
That’s me?
Tumblr media
Zoro
- Zoro has never had an imagination until just now
- Everytime he naps, he imagines you resting your head on his shoulder like you do in the anime with your first mate
- He actually ends up disliking them because it’s not actually him in the anime 💀
- Bitch better move it’s Zoro’s turn 🙄
- but now? He has situations to imagine in his head before he goes to sleep
- He tries to think that it’s him in the anime and not your first mate who’s literally an exact copy of him
- But guess what? The character has the exact same hair and eyes as Sanji 💀
- He hates Sanji with a passion now
- How dare he steal his soulmate???
- Man will never forgive Sanji for what he’s done 😭
- also he never tells Sanji the details
- So Sanji is always so confused why Zoro gives him the nastiest look when that character comes on screen
- Sanji loves this character, he thinks they’re very cool :)
- This makes Zoro hate them even more 💀
Tumblr media
Law
- Law is so creeped out
- gives him that really weird, gross feeling when someone’s exactly like him, especially if they’re close to YOU
- god he’s so jealous 😭
- He pouts when he watches a scene with you two now
- *that should be me..* sassy crossing leg thingy he did in the new episode
Tumblr media
Law wears heels. this means something- 👀 the furry thingy on his coat reminds me of corazon’s 🥺
- no law is not happy. Not happy at all.
- man hopes that the character will die at some point 💀
- He’s so rude
- “See? He can’t win this fight, he’s gonna lose.”
- Character wins*
- “Fuck you Oda.” -Law 2022 (oda is amazing ✨)
Tumblr media
Luffy
- he is so amused- 😭
- he loves this character so much
- “See?! He’s so cool and smart! Just like me hehe- >:3”
- “since when were you either of those things..?” -law + kid
- “HMPH- >:(“ -Luffy
- kid and law better be quiet, Luffy is awesome :)
- this boy really loves how close this character is to you because he can feel like it’s him-
- He sometimes pauses where he is to talk back to you, and then the character says the exact same thing 💀
- He gets so freaked out when that happens
- His jaw will drop to the floor
- … I’m gonna name this character.
- I’m so sorry for my shit sense of humor- but- I’m gonna call him Lucy-
- (you don’t even understand I can’t breathe rn I’m laughing so fucking hard 💀)
- So Lucy just said the same thing right after Luffy, and oml-
- “LUCY- WE-“ man’s mind just exploded 😭
- in conclusion, yes, he loves this character oh so much 🥺
Bonus - if they met irl Lucy would have a white beard and- that one vacation looking shirt he wore-
Tumblr media
Luffy thinks his outfit is so cool and would like to dress up as him for Halloween 😭
Tumblr media
Kid
- hell no.
- Kid is freaked out
- “Who the fuck is that?”
- He has (the same DF as Kid-) and the same kinda scar EXCEPT- it’s on the other side >:3
- and his hair is down
- Kid will criticize every single aspect of this character
- It could be something relating to their abilities, or the dumbest shit
- “his nail polish is a fucking disgusting shade of red.”
- “It looks red.” -law
- “Are you fucking blind?”
- Law: … 💀
- kid also doesn’t like this guy’s hair, same color as Kid’s except it’s combed down like all that fanart with kid’s hair down-
- He says it’s “not his style”
- what it boils down to is that he wants it to be him, not this imposter
Bonus: Luffy made him dress up, and he didn’t know what the fuck to do so Luffy decided to get him a costume himself and not tell him about it until he put it on and went to school or work. it was a costume of that character and Luffy got his ass beat while Law was dying in the background from laughter. 💀 no Zoro didn’t protect him at all-
Tumblr media
Sanji
- this man. Out of all these guys, hates this character with a BURNING passion
- how dare he steal the y/n of his dreams???
- how dare he be so close to the love of his fictional crush dream life?
- no no no Sanji will literally have this characters photo, stuck onto a dart board, and he will literally throw old and dull knives at it every morning to wake himself up
- He uses old and dull knives because he doesn’t think that this guy deserves his nicer and sharp ones 💀
- Everytime this character has gotten close to death, he’s been so happy
- Then he breaks the tv with his foot when the character doesn’t die
- He cries himself to sleep sometimes after he sees the character giving you a hug
- This guy has moss green hair, and a scar on his RIGHT eye.
- Sanji is immediately reminded of his nemesis, Zoro
- the fact that the character that looks like Zoro, is close to you?
- Holy shit his eyes are on fire, this man can’t even take it anymore
- usually he’s so calm, but when it’s something to do with the god(ess) y/n?
- he’s gonna do anything for you even if it’s from an anime
Bonus: Sanji has beat up Zoro numerous times for absolutely no reason to Zoro’s understanding.
Tumblr media
a/n - I wish I was more active- this was so fun to write. Pls the Lucy- 💀 why do I laugh so hard at the dumbest shit- 😭

Teacher!Aizawa x Student!Reader -Feathery mess/NSFW/-
Tumblr media
warnings: teacher/student relationship(the student is of legal age).
quirk: angel wings
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
You've been squirming in your seat like crazy for the past 30 minutes, your thighs rubbing together as you watched the man lazily write stuff on the board, his sleeves raised up to his shoulders and his hair tied in a messy bun.
You've been eying the man for years, always too afraid to step up or say anything (for obvious reasons), and even now as you're nearing the end of your education, there's this annoying feeling in your tummy that's making you all giddy and impatient.
It's the last class of the day, all of the students tired and just wanting to go back to their dorms while you're here, dreaming about being stuffed by the black-haired man's cock.
Your wings puffed in your seat as you chewed on your pencil.
You didn't exactly care about anything he was saying, the only thought as you looked at his moving mouth was the fantasy of it lapping at your cunt.
Such sinful thoughts shouldn't cloud the mind of someone so seemingly innocent and pure.
Your feathers ruffled up as you placed your head in your arms, alerting some of the students and obviously motivating Bakugou to ~quietly~ shout you out.
You paid no mind, still staring at the man in a haze...He must've felt something...
He was always so gentle and caring, offering to rub and clean your feathers on countless occasions after training, always checking up on you or coming to your table if you needed help with anything.
While he might've done that to everybody, you felt like he had a particular fondness of you. Maybe it was just your imagination...
Your wings fluffed back down, slumping against your back as they curled around your tiny form.
You spent your years in this school pinning for someone you might never have, instead of going out to parties and meeting new people. And the biggest problem was, you weren't only painfully attracted to him, but you also caught yourself falling in love with the man.
Maybe if you were a bit older? What if he already had someone and it was impossible from the start? You didn't want to know...it would crush you completely.
The bell seemed to have rung a few moments ago, all of the students already having their bags packed and on their back, leaving through the door one by one.
You stuffed your notebook in messily, crumbling it as you pulled the zipper. You stared at the floor as you made your way in-between desks, just wanting to take a long warm bath and cry.
"Y/N, everything alright?" your eyes darted to the voice, your mouth suddenly drying up as you just gave a weak nod.
Before stepping anywhere further, the door was pushed closed in front of you, the tall man hovering over you as he looked at you with warm eyes.
"You know you can talk to me, I want to help..." he trailed off, reaching for your hand as you hopelessly gave it to him.
He sat you down on his chair, him leaning against the table.
"I'm sorry Mr. Aizawa...I don't think there's anything you can do to help me in this situation."
Your wings felt heavy on your back, actually, your own bones felt heavy too.
He reached out to pet your head comfortingly, noticing the way your cheeks flushed and your feathers straightened.
"Can you look at me real quick, please" you raised your head a bit, looking at the man with scared eyes.
Your wings betraying you as they gave a small twitch.
"Y/N, please correct me if I'm wrong because I don't want to make you uncomfortable in any way" you nodded, waiting for him to go on.
"Is it a crush problem?" you nodded again, eyes falling down to your lap.
"Is that person in our class?" he questioned, his shoulders stiff.
"Theoretically..." you mumble, your form shaking a bit as you took in a deep breath.
"And theoretically...I personally...am actually capable of helping you out?" you clutched at the chair for a second before trying to will your legs to move and get you out of here.
His fingers hooked your chin up gently, your teary eyes closing and squinting shut.
"So you literally gave yourself a heartache for nothing angel" he mumbled softly, pulling you up in front of his face.
"Can I kiss you sweetheart?" you stared at him in shock, brainstorming through what's about to happen, your heart skipping beats as his breath ghosted over your lips.
"Pleasee" your needy voice filled his ear before he smashed your lips together, his arms snaking around your back and under your wings, pulling your body flush against his, holding you tightly as he deepened the kiss.
Your wings fluffed back, full and strong, flexing as they tried to look pretty and inviting.
He chuckled into the kiss, dragging his dull nails across the junction of your wings, kneading at the soft feathers.
You hummed in his mouth, pressing harder against him as you tangled your hand through his hair.
Once the two of you stopped to breathe, you were pushed onto the desk, your legs spreading to let him come back closer.
"It's my turn to lock all of the doors on this floor, no one will come here" he mumbled, gently kissing at your neck.
"Please...don't make me wait...I'll beg if I have to" you whined, fisting the fabric of his thin shirt.
"No need sweetheart, we'll have time to take things slow some other occasion." his long fingers slipped beneath your skirt, rubbing over your panties as he felt the soaked patch of cotton.
"Dirty little feather...were you thinking about me during class today? Do you even know what the subject was?" he grinned, pushing the fabric aside as he slipped a finger into your heat.
"I...maybe?" you whispered tilting your head back as he pumped the digit carefully, working you open before slipping in another one.
His lips swallowed up your moans, his free hand creeping under your shirt and rubbing at your flush skin. His fingers curled up, pushing snuggly against your spots making you gasp into his mouth.
"I'm gonna make you feel so full angel, is that what you want? For me to take good care of you?"
Your hands reached for his pants, hurriedly unbuckling his belt and undoing his zipper, slipping both his pants and boxers down.
Your wings shook a bit, your mouth watering at the sight of his cock. It looked painfully hard and heavy, twitching each time you clenched around his fingers, his tip oozing out pearly liquid.
You still couldn't fully believe everything, but the fact that he was willing to risk his job for you had to count for something.
"Hey princess, you think you could take it now?"
His forehead pressed against yours, breathing in deeply as he pushed another finger in.
"Fuck...Please, I'll go mad if you don't" you cried out, tugging at his cock as you slicked it up with his precum.
He groaned, his flush tip now rubbing over your clit and your puffy lips, hissing once he began to sink you down on his length.
You gasped at the feeling of being so stretched out, the countless times you had you pussy full with your toys couldn't compare to this.
Both of his hands found purchase on your hips, slowly guiding you against his cock, slipping out and sinking back in, his small groans coming out after each thrust.
You clung to his broad shoulders, keeping yourself steady as his pace picked up, the filthy sound of his dick plowing in and out of your soppy cunt filling the classroom.
"I'm gonna take you to my house after this princess, make you cum again and again, make you all nice and cozy and abuse your little hole...you kept me waiting for so long, kept this dirty little pussy all to yourself." His voice always sent shocks of pleasure through your cunt, the raspy hum his words held always making your thighs clench together.
"Oh baby you're just swallowing it all up, such a greedy little student I have...oh...look at you...you're gonna cum on my cock? I can see you shaking princess" your hand reached for your puffy clit, flicking it with the tips of your fingers in a hurry.
Your wings were violently flapping everywhere, sprawling around before wrapping around Aizawa as you came with a soft cry, clenching down on his length as he continues to push past your spasming walls, pounding you through your high as he struggled not to cum. You were gushing around his shaft, creaming over his cock and ruining his desk.
Once he couldn't hold out any longer, he pulled out, giving a few rough pumps with his fist, warm waves hitting your skin and coating your clit, dripping past your folds and sliding past your hole, your wings holding onto him tightly.
He rubbed his seed in possessively, gliding his cock along your sex before pulling your panties back in place, finally calming himself down.
He holds you by your hips for a while, kissing at your clothed shoulder and whispering praises into your ear, talking about wanting you for so long, dreaming about you, touching himself at the thought of you, praying to everything out there for a chance to hold you like this.
"Hey...didn't you say something about locking doors?" you mumbled tiredly, nuzzling your head against his cheek.
"Yeah maybe in a minute" he muttered out, kissing your forehead gently.
Thank your quirk for making you so obvious. Or maybe it was his devotion to you that made it easy for him to read you so well...

Earn me 2/2
Pairing: Rio x reader. Part one here
Requested by: @appropriate-writers-name sorry it took so long to post the second part, but as you can see it’s pretty long, lol. I hope this was somewhat like what you had in mind💞
Warnings: none, may find some curse words.
Word count: 1509 (Im so sorry, lmao.)
Tumblr media
“Either way, my world doesn’t revolve around no man. Remember that.”
The last thing you said to Rio before parting. It was also the last time you had spoken to him, or even heard from him. If you were being honest with yourself, it really did sting. But after a week of sitting around, hoping for a text or a phone call, you decided it was time. It was time to try something new, or, someone new.
Which is exactly how you ended up in your position, right now. Sitting at a tiny table at a bar/restaurant thingy you’ve never been to, with a man you’ve never seen before.
“So what do you do for a living, anyway?” You ask the guy in front of you, trying to make some small talk.
He wasn’t really the smoothest talker- scratch that, he wasn’t much of a talker at all. But as you were only 15 minutes in, you’re willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
“I make and sell t-shirts.” He didn’t even bother to look at you, being too busy slurping away at his spaghetti.
“Oh thats nice!” You answer, trying to sound somewhat interested. “Isn’t it?”
“It’s not, but it pays the bills. Actually, it doesn’t really, but at least it kills some time”.
You just stare at him with the most confused look. What the fuck does that even mean?
You’re so busy being weirded out, and making a mental note of asking god what you did to deserve this, that you almost didn’t notice a familiar face entering the place, taking a seat at the bar. Rio. His eyes fall on the guy in front of you, looking him up and down, smirking.
A million different emotions and thoughts you had managed to push away, came flooding back, immediately. You do your best to ignore his presence, but his burning eyes on you making it hard to. So after a good 3 minutes of pretending to listen to the pasta eating weirdo in front of you, you decide to find out what the hell Rio’s doing here.
“Please excuse me for a second while I go use the bathroom” is all you say, before getting up from your seat, your eyes catching Rio’s curious ones.
Once you enter the bathroom, it doesn’t take long before he enters shortly after. He locks the door behind him, and turns around to face you. You just stand there, crossing your arms. You sure as hell wasn’t about to give him the satisfaction of saying the first word. I guess that’s one thing you guys had in common. Pettiness.
“So first you’re giving me your little speech about needing more, and what not, and now you’re getting it on with some stranger?” He asks you, taking a step closer towards you. “Doesn’t really make sense, does it?”
Letting out a scoff, you bring yourself even closer to him. “When someone ghosts you for a week long, you it does make sense.”
“I had thing’s to do. I’m a busy guy, you know”
“Not busy enough, if you’re out here lurking around on my date”
Apparently you had said something funny, as Rio throws his head back laughing.
“Date? Come on, ma. You know you deserve better than-“ he points around him, the bathroom looking like a scene from a bad movie. “Better than this.”
“What I deserve is someone who’s willing to make an effort, even if it’s this” you copy his movements, pointing at your surroundings.
Alright, that was probably a lie, you did deserve more than this shithole. But you weren’t lying about someone making the effort to go out.
“And that someone is that guy? The one with the spaghetti stain on his shirt?” He says, sticking his hands inside his pockets.
“Well, I don’t see it being you, either. So why don’t you just leave this place, sure you got some more important things to do”
He holds your angry stare for a moment, nodding his head slowly.
“Grab your stuff, we’re leaving this dump” is all he says before wanting to turn around, but you’re quick to pull him back by his arm.
“What do you mean ‘we’re leaving’?!” You whisper yell at him, absolutely dumbfounded.
“What part don’t you get? You wanted someone to take you out, so I’m going to take you out.” He tells you, like it’s the most normal thing in the world.
A part of you wants to grab your coat and bolt out of there with Rio, but the other part needed a little more convincing. You couldn’t just leave the other guy behind, right?
“Are you crazy? I can’t just leave him!”
"You really thought that was going somewhere?"
"Yes! He was cute.. in a way" making Rio raise an eyebrow. "Okay maybe not cute, but he was nice!"
“Well either you’re gonna tell him, or I will. Or both of us, that’s cool with me too” he says, already smirking at the look on your face. You hate giving in right now, but at this point you would do anything to get out of this ‘date’.
“Fine. Let’s go”.
After a -not very sincere- apology, you feel like you have moved from one awkward date in a dump, to another awkward one in a fancier place. Honestly, you couldn’t even call this a date. It was more like you shooting Rio angry glares, while he gave short answers to your hundreds of questions.
“So why did you take a whole week to decide on wanting to take me out?”
“Something came up, so I had to go take care of some business out of town.”
“What business?” “Nothing that concerns you”
“Why did you decide you wanted to go out with me, all of a sudden?” “I had time to think.”
“Think about what?” “You and me. Us.”
You let out a deep sigh, his short answers starting to make you wish you hadn’t come with him at all.
“You know what, maybe this was a bad idea. I should just go-” you say, starting to get up from the chair, but Rio takes a hold or your wrist, before moving his hand down to hold yours.
“Don’t.” You look at his face, only to find his usual cold stare, now replaced by a more insecure one. You sit back down, waiting for him to continue, as he’s still holding your hand.
“Look, I don’t really know how to do all this” he starts, referring to the whole ordeal of two people sitting together romantically. Something that was the most normal thing in your mind, yet not in his.
“I’m know how to boss people around, I know how to make money, stay on my game. It’s what I’m used to, it’s what im good at. I’m not used to a ‘normal relationship’, and all the things that come with it. It’s not something that fits into my kind of life”
“If it doesn’t fit into your kind of life, then what am I doing here?” You ask him, already preparing yourself for the disappointment.
Rio looks down at your intertwined hands for a second, giving it a soft squeeze, before pulling your hand more towards him.
“Because when you’re with me, I feel like I can be myself, you know? Like I can finally breath, after the crazy ass day I had. But when you’re not, I feel like there’s something missing, like I need-” Rio thinks for a second, trying to find the right word. And he did. “More.”
All you can do is stare at him, taking in all the words pouring out of his mouth. A warm feeling forms in your stomach, knowing that all this time, he felt the same way. He just didn’t know how to express himself.
“And after I realized that, I tried to figure out how to tell you. You were right about me taking too long, and I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t want-“
“I do.” You’re quick to cut him off. “I’m just happy you came to me. And we don’t have to jump in the deep end, let’s just take it slow. That way, we can both get used to new things” you tell him, sending him a smile, which he happily returns.
“I’d like that, mama.”
The both of you let out a sigh of relieve, finally being able to make things right. This wasn’t going to be easy, but that didn’t matter. All that matters is that you’re on the same page, entering a whole new chapter.
After a nice dinner, where you guys had lots of time to talk about regual things for once, he had decided to take you home.
“So,” he says, making you look over at him. “Does this mean I have to meet your parents?”
You look at him, wondering if this man is actually being serious right now. So much for taking it slow.
“Oh baby, you ain’t ready for all that”

Ahhh hi I'm awake and I've never sent like a prompt or ship thingy before so I hope this is what u mean !! For a ship maybe Dan and esteban and for a prompt maybe just esteban taking Dan to look at Christmas lights or something like that?
This prompt is perfect and I had been dying to write dansteban so thank you so much for requesting it <3
(I just realised you can’t put a read more on mobile sorry guys you’ll have to bear with this long post)
Daniel sighed to himself, absentmindedly scrolling through every single movie Netflix had to offer as he desperately tried to find something that would distract him from how painfully lonely he felt.
It was Christmas Eve, and while he would normally be either in Australia or Italy with his family by now, the fucking global pandemic had made it so that he was stuck in the flat Renault had rented for him to use whenever he was in Oxfordshire.
The flat was so underused that it barely had any furniture, and the lack of decorations coupled with the cold that could be felt even when he had the heater on wasn’t doing anything to improve his mood.
Daniel was used to spending his holidays in the sun damn it, he’d never asked for a white Christmas.
He had been surrounded by nothing but silence for so long that he almost thought he’d hallucinated the knocking that was coming from the direction of the door, but when it grew more insistence he nearly jumped off the couch, hurrying to see who could have possibly come to visit him.
And his heart nearly leapt out of his chest when he found none other than his lanky teammate standing on the other side of the wooden door with a backpack slung over his shoulder.
“Esteban?” he asked, half convinced that he was definitely hallucinating.
“Yes, hi” the Frenchman answered, a tiny hesitant smile pulling at his lips “for a second there I thought you weren’t in”
“Yeah sorry I thought I’d heard wrong, but, uh, what exactly are you doing here?” Daniel’s eyes widened when he realised how rude that sounded, and he quickly rushed to correct himself “Not that I don’t want you here or anything, you actually have no idea how nice it is to see you”
Thankfully, Esteban only looked amused by his rambling, the smile on his face growing larger.
“Well I sort of realised we were both stuck here, and since I don’t particularly fancy being alone tonight I thought you might not either”
And really, Daniel was so embarrassingly touched by that that he could have cried.
“Oh. Yes, no, absolutely. You can totally come in but I have to warn you that I only have, like, frozen pizza and a couple of beers on the fridge so -“
“Actually, I thought I could take you somewhere” Esteban interrupted, his brown eyes sparkling with mirth “if you don’t mind braving the cold that is”
Daniel beamed at the Frenchman, his innate love for surprises making a flare of excitement rush through him, especially after he had been sure the most exciting thing that would happen to him that night would be watching the new season of Love Island.
“Let me get my coat”
Just to be safe he decided to put on the biggest and fluffiest coat he owned, paired with a knitted beanie and a matching scarf, not even caring that he probably looked ridiculous next to Esteban, who didn’t even look like he had noticed it was snowing.
There wasn’t anyone around to judge him anyways, and he knew Este would never mock him.
Indeed, the younger man looked almost fond as he took in his very over the top attire, holding the door open for him and shutting it behind them.
He was nearly skipping as he followed Este down the stairs, not even questioning it when they walked past both their cars to instead follow the trail that lead to a small park that he’d never bothered to visit before.
Esteban stopped him when the park was just around the corner, turning to face him with a serious look in his eyes.
“Do you trust me?”
Daniel found himself nodding before he’d even finished the question, and when his entire face immediately softened at that, he felt warmth flooding his chest that had nothing to do with the layers of clothing he was wearing.
“Of course I do”
“Close your eyes for me” Este softly commanded, holding a hand out to him that he didn’t hesitate to take before complying.
It was a little tricky to walk over the rocky and snowy path without being able to see, but the firm hold Esteban had on his hand was enough to assure him he’d never let him fall on his ass.
They must have walked for less than three minutes when they came to a sudden halt, but even then Este didn’t let go of his hand.
“Okay… you can open them now”
Daniel immediately did as he was told, and a delighted gasp left his mouth as he took in the sight in front of him.
The entire park was light up by what seemed to be hundreds of Christmas lights that were hanging from the snowy trees, making it look like it’d been taken straight out of a Hallmark movie.
Thanks to the way they swayed with the breeze it almost seemed like they were twinkling stars, and Daniel felt like he’d walked into some sort of winter wonderland.
“Holy shit” he breathed out, hearing Esteban chuckle beside him at the expletive.
“Do you like it?”
“Are you kidding? I love it! It looks like a fucking postcard”
Este let out a full bellied laugh at that, but it was obvious to Dan that he was very relieved by his reaction.
“I’m glad. It’s just that I remembered you saying how much you liked Christmas, and I didn’t want you to have a crappy one this year, I think it’s been shitty enough. I also brought a big blanket, some pastries and a thermos full of coffee, it’s not exactly a Sunday roast but I think it’ll do” he confessed, the apples of his cheeks as red as the tip of his nose for reasons that the Aussie was sure were completely unrelated to the cold.
If Daniel had felt touched before, he was sure he was about to spontaneously combust because of how endeared he was by the man standing next to him.
“You really are something special Esteban”
“Oh it was nothing”
Esteban’s entire face was as red as the Ferrari livery by now, and his pleased grin made him look all the more adorable.
It was only then that Daniel realised neither had let go of the other’s hand.
“Hey Este? I know I couldn’t leave here because of the travel restrictions in Italy, but I thought they had lifted the travel ban in France… why didn’t you go home?”
The sheepish look he got after that was more than enough answer for him, but he still wanted to hear him say it.
“I, uh, I sort of overheard you talking to Cyril about how you’d have to spend the holidays here. I’m sorry for eavesdropping but I promise I didn’t mean to, and I just really didn’t want you to have to spend them alone because I know how much you miss your family and -“
Now it was Daniel’s turn to interrupt Esteban’s rambling, and he couldn’t think of a better way to do it than by fisting his hand on the front of his sweater and pulling him down into a kiss.
The tiny surprised yelp that left him was muffled by Daniel’s lips, and when the younger man’s brain registered what was happening he all but melted into the kiss.
And the Aussie had no idea how long he’d been wanting to do that without realising it, but as their lips moved together he quickly found out he never wanted it to stop.
Unfortunately, their need for oxygen was still a thing, but they only separated enough so that they could breathe while still keeping their foreheads pressed together, not caring at all that the angle was far from comfortable because of their height difference.
“Thank you” Dan murmured, tightening the grip he still had on the other’s hand and feeling an electric current run through their linked fingers.
“Merry Christmas Dan” he answered, with a smile bright enough that it put all the lights that surrounded them to shame.
“Merry Christmas Este”
With that, Daniel pressed their lips back together, thinking to himself that maybe he wouldn’t mind spending his holidays in the snow as long as he had Esteban close to keep him warm.

Henry cavill x reader
part i: here
Warnings: none yet. A bit more cheese. A bit more nerdier. I tried to keep the reader as blank as possible, but i think she might be a bit of a nerd, so a heads up for that. Hopefully it doesn’t throw anyone out of the fic too much.

baby don’t hold out (it’s cold outside), ii
.
.
                  It’s not a big deal, you tell yourself, standing outside of room 208, your nose and ears burning from the warmth inside compared to the cold outside… from how long you spent lingering in the snow, trying desperately to figure out a solution that you knew, really, wasn’t there.
Clara was right, after all, you did help make the lists, you helped write and organise and plan… and your options are—
Henry pops into your head, pitch a tent? Camp out in the lobby?
Your options are basically zero.
And you’re an adult not a pre-teen girl screaming over a hot boy. You can do this. You can absolutely do this. He isn’t fucking Adonis.
With a snort, you bury a laugh into your scarf. He’s just a guy. Just a really attractive guy. With really nice hair. And shoulders. And eyes. And—
Ugh, you think and blow out a breath, staring down the tauntingly-silent, somehow loopingly-mocking numbers staring you down from the upper middle of the door.
Fuck you, 208.
If numbers could personally offend, 208 was well on its way.
Raise your hand if you’ve ever felt personally victimized by 208.
208 stays silent, cursive and nailed to the door.
You resist the urge to lift your hand, yes, hi, I have. Let me introduce myself—
With another snort lost to your scarf, you close your eyes and pull in a steadying breath—
And lift your hand.
“You got this,” you mutter into your scarf. “You totally, absolutely got this.”
You’re a rock. Captain America’s shield. Mithril.
Sam carrying Frodo up the face of Mount Doom.
You knock.
There’s a noise inside, a shuffle—
You are absolutely not at all interested in running away.
You glance at the stairs you came up.
The door opens.
You feel like Frodo, holding the One Ring over the lava.
Henry’s in the same soft, dark blue sweater, but the dark of his hair is a little softer than it was earlier and his sleeves are pushed up over his forearms and he’s in socks and it’s all so— so—
No. You’re totally Samwise.
“Hullo,” Henry says with this slow smile that absolutely does nothing to your insides. “Thought maybe I lost you to a tent after all.”
“It was a close call,” you lie, swallowing around your heartbeat. “But the ground’s frozen. For you know. The tent thingies. That go in the ground.”
You make a weird hammer motion with your hand, it doesn’t at all look like a jerking-off motion. It doesn’t.
His smile goes crooked, his eyes flicking from your face down to the shift of your hand. You tuck it back into your coat pocket and decide you hate him. Him and his stupid, crooked smile.
“Stakes,” he says, with that stupid smile that looks like he’s trying not to laugh.
“Yup, those,” you say with a forced laugh. “Tent thingies.”
He snorts a laugh, but steps back, his hand spreading wide on the door, the thick of his arm holding it open for you as he tilts his head into the room.
“Come on then, girl scout. In you go.”
You hesitate before you remember you’re totally Samwise Gamgee and you heft your metaphorical Frodo and push past him into his— your— whatever— room; ignoring the heat of him, size of him, smell of him, so close to you.
(You’ve been here before, anyway, in the bar that first night, with his mouth to your ear; buy you a drink? But it’s somehow, no less staggering.)
Objectively, it’s a nice room, from the zero-point-one second you glance over it before your eyes land on the bed—
The bed you’ll be sharing with him—
No, nope. There’s no way you can get into that bed with him, you think. No way you can lie down and pretend that you’re not… at least a little bit attracted to him.
Like, a bit.
You glance down; the floor is a tanned-wood colour, but there’s a nice grey rug spread out in front of a gas fireplace, that’s not all that thick, but maybe…
Henry clears his throat behind you and you startle a little, lost in the maybe of camping out on the floor.
No stakes required.
There are plenty of pillows on the bed, you think, with a quick glance. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad.
“About earlier,” he starts, and your eyes dart up to his, startled out of your thoughts again. “I know you’re not…” he huffs something like a laugh, crossing his arms. “Well. You aren’t thrilled, yeah? But listen, I’m not in the habit of being a prick, so I’ve made a few calls, and there’s a chance one of the other hotels a town over can bring a spare cot by. They’re going to give me a call back. But until then, I have no problem sleeping on the—”
“I can take the floor,” you interrupt because really, he’s not— it’s not his fault, is it? You were the one dicking around outside and avoiding— not avoiding, just… circumventing the inevitability of him and what he does to… a large portion of the human population. Regardless of gender or orientation. Apparently.
What he might, maybe, sort of, does to you.
It’s not his fault, exactly. (Maybe his parents though, maybe you should write in a complaint, a strongly-worded letter: dear Mrs and Mr Cavill, how dare you?)
Henry pulls a face and scoffs. “You’re not. Don’t be daft.”
“I’m not daft,” you parrot back, pulling your own incredulous face. “I’m serious, you’re,” you wave a hand over him, a vague Henry-shaped circle. “All you, like. And I’m… good with a little pillow-pile on the floor. It’s like, you know, girl’s sleepover. But—”
But in the bedroom of a totally-not-Adonis.
“All me like?” he questions, his brow tilting up.
You make a noise in your throat. Pressing your lips together beneath your scarf. It’s too hot in here, you think, with the gas fire on and the whole— whole man in front of you in this stupid small room with its stupid one bed.
“You know. You’re like. Big.”
“Big,” he says with a slow-widening smile, and crosses his arms. It does nothing at all to his biceps. You totally do not look.
You roll your eyes, because muscles don’t just happen, and— and you know what? It is his fault, you think, he made the very conscious decision to become a brick shithouse.
That’s absolutely on him.
(Your metaphorical Frodo gets a little lighter, you think you might actually make it.) Blaming someone else usually helps lighten a load, doesn’t it?
This is his fault. Who cares what Clara says?
“Yup,” you say and pop the p with a finalizing sound. “So that’s settled then, yeah?” you say, copying the way he says the word, and step away from him to unwind your scarf and drape it over one of the two chairs in the room that sit in front of the fireplace and little coffee table; they’re actually sort of soft-looking, maybe you really could just sleep in that. You aren’t six-foot-whatever like he is, you have a much better chance at fitting into it in a comfortable sleeping position in one of them.
He absolutely isn’t going to out-nice you. No way.
Chair-bed or bust.
“This chair looks nice, look, the pillows are soft too,” you press your hand onto the cushion, it’s not as soft as you hoped but the pillow fairs better; it’s soft and there’s a nice little decoration of holly and ivy, too; the words Merry Christmas stitched in a looping cursive in the middle of it.
“You’re not sleeping on the bloody chair,” he huffs behind you.
“Well,” you start, floundering for something to say, unzipping your jacket and turning to look at him to buy time. “That’s your opinion.”
He doesn’t roll his eyes, but you think it was a very close call. “Listen,” he starts and pulls in a breath. “There’s no way I’m sleeping in that bed with you sleeping anywhere else. I promise I can sleep anywhere, benefit of having a big family an’ all.”
You shrug off your jacket, stealing a moment to gather your thoughts, moving back towards the door to toe-off your boots, thankful they were dry from the amount of time you spent lingering downstairs and then in the hallway before finding the nerve to even knock.
“And I promise I really don’t care about where I sleep. The tent? Totally could do it. It’s just the ground—”
“Is frozen, yeah,” he finishes for you. “I got that bit.”
You meet his eyes, it’s mostly an accident, you weren’t avoiding it, exactly, you were just… lowering the probability of eye-contact with him by avoiding his general upper face-area.
“Please take the bed.” His face does this… this honest thing that does something to your insides and you think, damn, he might out-nice you after all.
But screw that.
“Is this you trying to be a gentleman?”
He blinks and then grins, standing a little straighter. “I am a gentleman.”
You burst out a laugh and then cover your mouth to catch the pitch of it, grinning behind your hand. “Sorry,” you snort and shake your head. “I mean, okay. Sure.”
“I am. Private school, got all the lessons. Pulling out chairs. Door-opening. Arm-offering. Know all the proper forks and everything,” he teases and you can’t help but laugh as he grins at you. “My mum would literally kill me if she ever found out I took the bed and made a girl sleep on the floor.”
“Ah, so it’s a sexist thing?” you tease back, trying to kill your smile with a tsk. “That’s not very gentlemanly.”
“What? No,” he blinks and frowns. “That’s not— that’s not what I meant—”
You try to bite back a smile, but he must see it flickering on your mouth and huffs at you. “Very funny.”
“I thought so,” you say with a grin and step around him to look for your bag, which you find by the bed, of course. Because he’s a gentleman, apparently.
You lift it up and over your shoulder, following where Henry points out the side tables with drawers and the closet near the door.
You set your bag on the bed, pulling out your toiletry bag and trying to ignore the feeling of him looking at you.
He pushes out a breath. “We could also just… be adults about this and share the bed?” he hedges, crossing his arms again and looking at you like he’s gauging you for something. You meet his eyes for a too-long moment where something prickles warmly inside your stomach before he shifts again, his lips quirking.  “Then my gentlemanly ways would remain intact and neither of us will end up on the floor— or a chair—with a sore back.”
You hesitate, eyes flicking to the bed and then back to him.
“I snore,” you lie because the bed— any bed with him in it, is still a big, fat nope. “And I’m a cover-hog.”
He snorts, scrubbing a hand over his face and shaking his head. “Impossible is what you are.”
“It’s a character flaw.”
Henry huffs a laugh, pushing his hand through his hair and shaking his head. “How about we just wait to see if I can get a cot from another hotel? If I can get one, then this is all rather moot, isn’t it?”
Moot, you think. Probably.
Just like any and all attraction to him. That’s moot. Pointless. He’s probably so used to people looking at him like that, that he doesn’t even register it.
It makes you feel a bit better, honestly.
You shrug because you don’t want to keep arguing with him when ignoring him generally works so much better for you.
It’s a tried-and-true solution to the Henry-Problem.
“Sure. You think you’ll get one?”
He shrugs, tugging a hand through his hair; you like it, you think, the loose, slightly curling bits you haven’t seen before. He’d had his hair different last time, a bit shorter, a bit straighter.
“I promise I’m doing my best?” he offers with a half-wince.
That, and the lift in his voice carries enough meaning.
Not sure at all, then.
Well. He still isn’t going to out-nice you.
You’re Samwise fucking Gamgee.
   .
                  The bathroom is nice, a bit small, but nice. You plop your toiletry bag on the vanity and glance at Henry’s stuff, already neatly set on one side of the sink. You touch the edge of a cologne bottle, resisting the urge to pick it up to smell it.
Yes, your brain supplies. Absolutely.
That would be creepy, wouldn’t it?
The bathroom already kind of smells like him, anyway; it’s distracting and you let your finger slide off the cool glass of the cologne and look at yourself in the mirror, instead.
There’s nothing going on tonight, no real distractions until tomorrow— you and Clara had planned it that way. It seemed like such a good idea at first, hadn’t it?
Arrive, unpack, relax. Explore a bit. Give into the comfort and mood of the holiday season at the inn while watching the snowfall from a safe, warm distance.
Have a bath. Read a book.
You stare at the shower accusingly.
You’re sure your room had a bathtub.
You mourn a little for the lost opportunity of your quiet room and your e-reader with a hot chocolate or a bit of wine and a bubble bath, before pulling in a breath and righting yourself, fixing your clothes before reaching for the door.
Back out in the room, Henry’s sitting in one the chairs by the fireplace, looking mostly relaxed, watching the fake-glow of the flames, his knees spread in that manspreading slouch so many guys do. You want to hate it on principle, but his thighs are—
Thighs, you think. They’re thighs, get a grip.
Henry looks at you, you look at him. The moment stretches out.
His eyes are… your belly does a little flop and you take a step backwards.
“I’m going to check on Clara and Sam,” you say and take another step back towards the door.
“Already did,” he says from the chair, a little frown between his brows as he sits up. “I thought maybe we—”
“Yeah, but I’m the Maid of Honour,” you interrupt and force a smile as you slip towards freedom. The room is way too small and warm, isn’t it? Unbearable, almost. “It’s like, my job.”
(You know the room isn’t that small. The whole place is rather decently sized. It’s why it won out, after all. The reigning champ of all the hotels and inns and lodges that had been potential venues over the months of planning.)
But it still feels too small. And he’s all you can smell.
You’re definitely not running but you ignore his countering: I’m the Best Man! that follows you out the door— because it just doesn’t suit the narrative of your excuse.
If he noticed your e-reader in your hands, he was nice enough not to say anything.
Ugh, you think as the door shuts behind you lean against the door for a stretch of a moment, standing in the quiet hall and hoping no one comes out of their rooms to see you standing there.
Thankfully, you’re granted that moment of quiet before you push off the door and head down the stairs and towards the main sitting area.
The stair railings are covered in garland, set with twinkling lights and you let yourself relax the further you get from the room and the problem you left in it.
See, you think, ignoring a problem always works.
Downstairs in the main lounge area, there’s a little area set up with carafes of coffee and hot water and hot chocolate.
You pour yourself a mug, slip into one of the over-large sofas in front of the burning, crackling, stone fireplace and wiggle your sock-covered toes towards the fire.
I can totally do this, you tell yourself, and pretend, for a moment, that you’re way more sure than you feel.

A Devil’s Toy  |  Arvin Russell x Male!Reader
Tumblr media
Request: Crossover where Arvin gets connected with the symbiote? Because Spidey!Arvin seems silly and unfitting but Venom!Arvin is kind of 😳😳😳
Words: 3694
-----
The town you lived in was always quiet. The birds chirped happily in the tree, nature at it's best. Cars approaching from the forest road were easily heard from miles away. Sorting the groceries you just brought home, a distant sound shakes you from your thought. Fast-paced footsteps approach your house from the treeline. They certainly were running. Before you were able to shove the curtain aside, you hear a voice call out your name. Repeatedly.
"Arvin?" You speed to the door, opening it for him. "What happened?" Eyeing the dirty cloth wrapped around his lower right arm. As you looked closer, it covered most of his lower arm. You couldn't see his hand nor wrist. His eyes were narrow, heaving for air, as he clutched his other hand tightly on the cloth. This wasn't the first time Arvin came in like this. In all those years you'd known him, he got in a lot of fights, with the necessary injuries. He won most of them, but some… He knew he was outmatched, yet it is as if he didn't care. As if the greater the challenge, the bigger the appeal.
"G-Get… me… a... k-...k-knife." He stuttered through the heaving breaths, unwrapping the cloth from his arm. You seat him down at the kitchen table and quickly bring him a large knife. For what was the question right now, but you never questioned Arvin. And if you did, most of the time, he didn't answer. At first, you didn't notice any blood as the cloth opened up. His denim jacket still in good shape. You notice how nervous and anxious he is. Eyeing his surroundings constantly. Trust was something Arvin didn't have. At least in most people. You always managed with him. But something was off about Arvin. He kept everything in check. As if he was expecting something or someone.
"Help me (Y/N)-..." He snarled while ripping the last the piece of cloth from his hand. "-get this off me." Struck by fear, revolt, and sheer terror, you jolt back a few steps. Covering your mouth with one hand.
"W-Wha… What is that?!" Arvin's hand was completely black, not from sickness. As far as you knew from a first glance. Because it moved. Your bowels churned in revolt. Feeling your earlier snack rise in distaste. The tar-like ooze moved and pulsated around his hand and lower arm.
"I DON'T KNOW!" He screamed, grabbing the knife. "I don't know! Just get it off me!" Trying to scrape it off with the sharp end. He shook all over, struggling to place the blade against the moving substance. From both angles, it was impossible to decide if he was going to strike the goo or his own skin. His hesitation held the blade at bay. "Goddammit! Help me (Y/N)!" He angrily shot at you.
"C-Can you move your hand?"
"Eh… Yes... "He said, seeing them move shakingly. "I can feel it..."
"Alright… Alright…." Grabbing his coat. "Take it off." You command, pulling him onto his feet. "We have to know how far it's-…"
"(Y/N)?" He asked with widening eyes. Seeing the fear struck in your eyes. "What's-…"
Step by step, you back up from Arvin. Feeling the trembles take over your body as the level of eye contact with him slowly rises. This had to be a nightmare. What Arvin's legs once were, wrapped in jeans, were now encased in the same black ooze from earlier. Forming a new pair of legs for him. And rapidly consuming the rest of his frame. The stuff that ate away at Arvin had towered over you faster than you could believe. Slowly stepping your way. Only Arvin's face now left. You wanted to scream out your lungs, call for Arvin. Wanted to help him. But all sense had left you. Terror had overcome you. Especially when you saw the rows of gigantuous, white razor-sharp teeth erupt out from the black being's skin. Engulfing Arvin's face from its forehead and chin. In a matter of seconds, Arvin had disappeared completely. Taken by the black pulsating goo that stood before you. A pair of white oval eyes stared at you as the jawline with long teeth stretched into what could be described as a smile.
With your back against the wall, the only response you could muster was throwing the closest thing beside you at it. A cup. It did nothing. The black mass towered over you as your legs buckled and crashed to the floor. "A-A...A-...Arvin...??"
"Well hello…" The creature spoke with a haunting voice. "Arvin is currently occupied... elsewhere." Chuckling to himself. As its jaws opened, your nightmare was complete. A red, ribbed, slimy tentacle of a tongue stretched outwards. Licking its so-called teeth. "He'll be fine, though." Approaching you, as you tried to crawl away. "I promise." It smiled; the drips of slime dangled from its teeth. "For now, I am hungry..."
"P-P-Please… I…" You pleaded, covering your eyes with your arms. Shielding you from the horror that was in front of you. The tears finally showing. Its arms were massive, bulking masses of muscles. It claws with sharp talons close to striking distance.
"Ooooow." It arched back up. "I see... "Nodding in sudden amusement at your shuddering frame, held in a fetus position. "Now, I get it." It chuckled. "I get it." Looking around the room. "I can't touch your lover." You notice the innards of the black ooze struggle and fight.
"A-Arvin's still in there…?"
"Oh, Yes." It said before the black ooze curled back from Arvin's face. Revealing him alive, and surprisingly well.
"I'm sorry (Y/N)!" He said. "There was this truck-" And as Arvin was telling his story, you notice the body language of the thing. Mimicking Arvin's way of speaking. As if Arvin was controlling the black ooze. But somehow was also… alive? Sentient? The story was impossible to follow as you watch the movements, streamlined with Arvin's. This was impossible. But you were glad Arvin was alive.
"Wh-... What was that about-... about...?" You shook your head, conflicted by so many things. "I have so many questions."
There was little time for Arvin to react as the ooze slipped back over his face. He protested; you could see the struggle. But somehow, the ooze retook control. "Sorry lovey-doveys… But it's time. Allow me to introduce myself." Bowing before you. "I'm Venom, and Arvin here-..." Tapping its belly. "-...is my new host." Laughing amusingly. "Together, we're going to have so much fun."
It's pale white eyes stared at you, as if it was expecting something from you. "And you are?" It asked. "It's customary to introduce yourself to newcomers."
"(Y/N)." You said in a shaken voice. "I'm (Y/N)."
"Well, I already knew that." It looked back up again. "I played along, out of kindness." Giving you a nod and a smile. Before turning its attention back to its surroundings. "Anyway. I hear them." It stopped, eyeing the direction the sound came from. It doesn't take much for your trained ears to hear the footsteps in the distance. The rushed, fast-paced ones. Cracking leaves and branches as they approached. Some walked with a determined stride. But they were with many.
"I thought it was you at first." It quipped back, showing you a sort of smile. "But I was wrong. Sorry!" The smile was highly uncomfortable to watch, the rows of teeth showing high and wide. The stench was something that came second. But not any better.
"I… I don't know what you're talking about." Keeping your eyes on the lumbering figure standing in the room. It somehow had a muscular physique to it, despite the otherwordly colors. Black and rippled with some sort of veins protruding from its so-called skin. It's highly disturbing to look at.
"Little Arvin and I will explain later." Moving its arm towards you. Every movement made you jump. Especially this, seeing its talons close in. "Don't worry." It smiled, seeing you repulse from fear, with your back against the wall. "I won't hurt you." It said, but its tone was more taunting than comfortable at this point.
"Take this." Opening his black oozing hand to you. The skin bubbled and moved as something began to emerge. From the torso, something slid underneath the skin towards the hand. The happening alone made you sick. "Arvin won't need it." Revealing the gun, you knew Arvin carried with him from time to time. "He has a better weapon now." He grinned, tossing it in your lap as it looked for the newcomers.
"W-Wh… What do I do?" You've had practice with a gun. That was a fact. Arvin had shown you, taught you. But at this point. You were completely blank—pulling at the magazine. Trying to get the damn mechanism to work. But your shaking hands struggle to make anything work right now.
 "You phew phew that thingie-... "Pointing at the gun with its talons. "-at any one of those outside." It said while watching you struggle. "Plenty of targets."
 "I… I… don't…" You stammer, dropping it to the floor. "Fuck…!" Cursing more under your breath while you clammy hands struggle to pick it up.
You recoil back against the wall, not that you could go further. The oozes torso ripple and move as you saw Arvin reach out. His entire upper torso revealing from the black ooze. "Come 'ere." He said while handling the gun. Cocking and reloading it. It surprised you to see Arvin this relaxed. Normally his anger would have surfaced and lost control over the situation. But now, he seemed convinced about what was about to happen.
You jump scare a little as a magazine for the gun popped into your lap. "Found this in his back pocket." Venom said as the hole in his shoulder closed.
He took your one hand, his grip firm and reassuring, warm to the touch, to the point of bolstering your confidence. For a moment, you're lost in each other eyes, feeling a sense of humanity return. Bringing you back as he helped to put your fingers on the gun. Closing your second hand around the other. "Use it if you have to." He said. "Stay safe."
"Arvin… How do we know if they're-" Your voice was cut off. The air knocked from your lungs. As the world around you was reduced to splinters, smoke, and glass. Eardeafening explosions shook you to the very bone. It all happened so fast. In that split second, the door at the other end of the room was reduced to mere splinters. Chunks of wood scattered across the floor and dug itself into softer material than itself. A loud ring sounded in your ears as you lost your bearings completely. Your vision had doubled, twice, or thrice—more than enough to see Venom move away from you. Through the whirling dust and flying wood splinters, you see it darting across the floor. The room wasn't that big, but in an instance, it sat upon the figure standing in the doorframe. Its scream didn't reach your ear because it didn't have time to. You shouldn't have blinked, but your ramshackle mind had too. Before you had any further chance to see what was happening. The figure had disappeared. Leaving Venom standing there, licking its teeth with that weird-looking tongue.
You jolt back into life as you feel the air coming back into your lungs. Coughing the dust and dirt up from your windpipe, it had forced itself in. A shock racked your frame as an object hit your foot. "Keep that safe." Venom's voice called out, noticing the large shotgun in front of you. Before you looked up and responded to him. Venom was already gone. Luckily your vision had begun to come back. To your shock, around you was a circle of splinters and fragments of other metal embedded deep into the wall. Struck by panic again, you check yourself. Hands, legs, arms. A relieved smile cracked your lips. You weren't hurt. Venom and Arvin had most certainly protected you from the blast. Seeing the damage all around you. It was one mass of destruction. With your courage gathered, and like any natural instinct kicking in, you try to get up on your legs. Water. You needed water. And eye the sink.
Shards of glass shatter across the counter as you duck back to the floor. You try to stay low, hunched as the sound of gunshots increased. The automatic fire increased as voices called out. Unfamiliar and loud. Commands were given. Screaming, yelling. They must have seen you as the bullets tore through the windows. The impact clearly seen on the walls. Ripping and tearing through every inch of the house. You duck lower to the ground. Terrified to the bone. Frames falling from the wall, and shelves coming loose. Everything went flying as the bullets tore it all apart. You didn't dare to look up. Broken glass and furniture flew through the air. Nothing was safe. Feeling the chances of survival slim by every passing moment.
Outside was this constant carnage, ripped screams. Trees being felled and branches snapping like twigs in a storm. It was a warzone outside. You could hear it, feel it—the tearing of limbs and flesh. The cries of the injured were short-lived. If there were any at all. With the sense of time and place lost in the heat of battle. The sound of battle and slowly began dying down. Less and less guns were being fired. Arvin better returns in one piece; you prayed to the Lord. In a moment like this, faith was a scapegoat option. Because you felt helpless and prayed for a good outcome.
The sound of someone approaching across the porch nailed you to the floor. Once the bullets had started tearing through the walls, surely targeting you, you had fallen to the floor. Flat on your stomach in the dirt and debris. Praying for your life. And now you lay there, with the gun in reach of you. You frantically crawl towards it, realizing too late that you were trudging through the glass splinters. But the adrenaline kept you going. Your fingers shuddered across the cold metal of the gun. Struggling to get a grip on it again.
As the heavy treads of boots stamped across the porch towards the already blasted open door. The voice of a man, different than Arvin's. Talking to someone. Tears had already flooded your vision as you brought the iron sights up along your eyesight. Clouding your vision. The gun shook terribly in your hand, as you crawled back up against the wall where you sat earlier. Countless holes had penetrated through the wall, now shafts of light shining through. It's mystical to see the dust flying around in the sudden silence. Only focused on the impending footsteps.
You squinted your eyes, trying to avoid the look on the person's face once you had pulled the trigger. You knew the mechanism; it was rough. Requiring a strong pull on the trigger to fire. "ARVIN!" You screamed from the top of your lungs. Crying out for help. "VENOM!" Tears rolled down your cheeks as your gaze swept to the other end size. The backdoor flew open with force.
"Son of a bitch is here!" Another voice called from the back. Taking steps into the house. Hearing the floor creak under the weight. You swing the gun back and forth. Not sure who was going to show up first. Either way, they were closing in on you. You knew the layout better than the intruders. You knew where the backdoor was, and how he had to walk down the hallway into the kitchen. You swing back to the front door. The one in the back had to be a few footsteps away from you.
The flash blinded you for a moment, rocking your entire frame as the gun fired its bullet down the barrel. Smashing through the wooden wall into the hallway. Splintering chunks of wood across the floor and into the hallway. A hushed curse came from the hallway. Your eyes catch movement at the front door. Everything went so fast. The man appeared in the doorway, almost in a veil-like light, holding a rifle. When a tentacle of blackness shot up into its side. Gurgled screams shot up from its shuddering frame. His arms go limb as the rifle hits the floor, and disappears as fast as he appeared. Not a scream, nothing. Just gone. A glimpse of white eyes and teeth are more than enough to reassure Venom and Arvin were there. A relief. Seeing the black mass surge past the doorframe off the hallway. A short burst of automatic fire forced you back into that scared fetal position as it connected with all sorts of pottery in the kitchen beside you. Piercing through the wall, shattering plates, pans, and cups. But silenced with a gurgle of blood and air, followed by a hard thud on the floor. The only thing you could hear was your own ragged breath and spend cartridges rolling on the floor.
 "(Y/N)?" Arvin sped around the corner, seeing the last of Venom's skin disappear behind him. "You alright?" You nodded as you caught your breath, slowly sitting yourself back up again. Arvin didn't need an answer. He saw the small cuts and splinters in your forearm. He looked around through the destruction, searching that familiar cabinet that now had fallen to the floor. Kicking the broken pieces away with his feet. Fishing the first aid out. By now, he knew quite well where to find it. Approaching you with a caring look on his face, yet also a smile. A rare smile for Arvin. "You look like shit." He said, looking down at you with that same taunting smile.
"T-That's..." You laughed but was interrupted by a rough coughing fit. "T-That's my line."
 "Not today." Handing you a bottle of liquor, he found lying on the floor, surprising intact. "Just like old times. But this time…" He kneeled in front of you, brushing the dust from your lips with his other hand. "I'll help you." Cupping your cheeks in his hands. Your heart already raced from earlier. But in that split second, it skipped several. So it was true what Venom said; that was the last thing that crossed your mind. Before his lips connected with yours. Kissing you with great care and precision. The world had already fallen silent, but now there was nothing more but you and Arvin. "Thank you." You mumbled into the slowly sloppier kiss.
"No problem." Venom responded in his dark voice before Arvin could. The silence was broken by the two of you chuckling softly in each others' embrace. It was true. Venom had done so much for the two of you. He was the reason you both were alive. And together. Finally.
"You still have a lot to learn, Arvin." You groan, locking your jaw as you observe him struggle with the pincers. Trying to remove the last shards and splinters of glass and wood from your arm.
"Sit still." He leaned upwards, giving you a kiss. "I need to concentrate." Ticking the bottle with his pincers, as a sign of telling you to drink.
"How can I... when you kiss me like that." Arvin's proud glance at you said more than enough. With his other hand, he guided the bottle upwards to your lip. He knew how much pain you were having. The adrenaline had worn off quicker than you expected. Arvin knew that all too well. "The preacher won't approve of us." You sighed, rolling your head back against the wall. The liquor slowly numbing your senses.
 "And he ain't a good one, you know that." Arvin hissed. The rest of his muttering was impossible to hear. And it might be for the better. From day one, Arvin didn't have a good hunch about that preacher. But he was shut up by his sister. She believed in him, like so many others.
"Ow, I want to pay him a visit." Venom said, emerging on a string of gooiness beside Arvin's head. "Let's have some fun with him." He smiled viciously. "I can read your mind, Arvin. You hate him. All the more reason to."
"Won't hurt to teach him a lesson…?" Arvin looked at you for approval. As if he needed that from you. You and Arvin were on the same level on so many things. The preacher was one of them. You also didn't go to church for the longest time. To the disapproval of many in the town. But it made the Sunday morning one hell of a good morning. Arvin stopped going too and came around your place at that every Sunday morning.
"You know how I think about him." You grinned. "But what about all this?" Eyeing the interior of your house. "It's ruined." The destruction all around was immense. Bullets had torn everything apart. The table and chairs, reduced to chunks of wood. Large shotgun shells had blasted holes through the walls and wreaked havoc on the interior. It's a wonder the walls were still standing. "I can't live here anymore…"
"I don't know…" Arvin looked around, raking his fingers through his brown curls, lost in his thoughts.
"And how about all those bodies?" The thought had just crossed your mind. You hadn't seen one, but there had to be at least ten of them scattered around your house and littering the forest.
"I'm still hungry…" Venom said, showing its row of teeth, smiling very broadly.
"He ate most of them…" Arvin said, as if that was giving any comfort.
"And then...Arvin? What's next?"
Arvin's gaze was locked elsewhere, thoughts far beyond the room, but said nothing. He hunched on his knees, turned around, and sat himself down beside you. "I don't know…" He sighed, resting his head against the wall. "But we'll figure something out." Putting his arm around you. Resting your head against one another, watching the dust dance in the air through the beams of sunlight, shining through the bullets holes. "Together."

Shen Wei Serving Lewks, Part 7
(Masterpost)
Look 30
Swamp coat...no wait, hang on.
Upon close inspection, this is not Swamp Coat, but a different loose trench coat in Swamp color. What the fuck, Shen Wei! Borrow one of your boyfriend’s coats again, pretty please?
Tumblr media
Both times this tunic/coat outfit has appeared on Shen Wei, Zhao Yunlan was wearing this gorgeous tailored denim number, with perfectly fitted shoulders and a nipped in waist. Sigh.
Tumblr media
Anyway, Swamp Coat 2.0 is nicer than 1.0, and Shen Wei is wearing it with a with an immaculate super-casual loose white tunic with a band collar, so he looks beautiful even though this ensemble is decidedly meh.
Tumblr media
As Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan get closer, Shen Wei’s wardrobe becomes looser and more casual, which is probably good for his psyche so...okay.
In addition to layers of loose fabric, this look features a checkered nosebleed hanky and the angriest face he has ever turned on Zhao Yunlan.
Along with definitely not kissing
Tumblr media
(More behind the cut!)
And definitely not having a massive grope session like the last time Shen Wei got between Zhao Yunlan’s knees on this lab table.
Tumblr media
Once the anger passes, however, this is a very good look for making out in a taxi with a boy who has excellent taste in coats.
Tumblr media
Bonus Look 2: ZY’s Turn to Be Angry
This look belongs to Zhao Yunlan, who is wearing a single soft layer with a wide exposed neck so he can have an intense argument and hand touching with Shen Wei. This is Zhao Yunlan’s at home look, without the extra layer (vest or jacket, in a tough fabric) he always wears except when he’s alone with Shen Wei.
Tumblr media
Shen Wei is like, no it’s fine honey, slicing my arm open is just a thing I do so I can eventually die spectacularly.  Also I drained my life force for you, don’t make a big deal of it you know I hate when you make a big deal of things.
For once Zhao Yunlan gets to be the overprotective, upset partner in the relationship and also maybe the big spoon for a change. In keeping with his personality, he expresses himself explosively...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...while Shen Wei quietly leaks out emotions like the black smoke leaking from his wrist.
Tumblr media
This is Zhao Yunlan without his armor, his swagger, his smile; this might be the only time he is as vulnerable with Shen Wei as Shen Wei (always) is with him.
Tumblr media
Look 31
Shen Wei wears his blue double-breasted wedding crasher suit to begin his long, long relationship with this pillar.
Tumblr media
This look features chains, more chains, and long conversations with ridiculous smoke effects.
Bonus Look 3 - ZY Rescue Trench
Tumblr media
Now THAT is a trench coat. Do you hear me, Shen Wei's Swamp Coats?
Hilariously, we are meant to believe this superbly fitted coat with its itty bitty waist and this perfectly sized gun belt are what Zhao Yunlan took off of this schlubby guard. Zhao Yunlan DOES have magic powers!
Tumblr media
This is a good outfit for convincing your lover to give up his relationship with a malevolent pillar and come home with you.
Tumblr media
Did I hastily photoshop Smoke Dude out of that rescue picture? I did.
Tumblr media
Is this just a gratuitous picture of freshly-unchained Shen Wei looking upset and Zhao Yunlan comforting him? It is. Shout out to all the H/C fans!
Look 32
This look is a grey suit with a white grid pattern, and striped red and blue accent fabric on the pocket and under the collar.  This was briefly featured way back in the trauma cake arc. Here Shen Wei is also wearing a fresh cravat in grey tones.
Tumblr media
Shen Wei had been wearing a narrower range of outfits lately because he doesn't have enough drawers at Zhao Yunlan's place, so he must have made a brief stop at his apartment to get some more things.
Tumblr media
At home with Zhao Yunlan, Shen Wei wears this look with a bare face and neck, chilling in his white shirt with the collar stiffeners. I'm going to call them that forever; you can't stop me.  Note how the shirt has darts (the vertical seams from his shoulder blades to his waist) so that it fits perfectly across the back.
Tumblr media
This is a good look for lovingly preparing fresh fruit for your candy-addicted beloved and then watching him while he sleeps.
Tumblr media
Shen Wei’s ass is now chainless, alas, but these trousers are doing yeoman’s werk work.
Tumblr media
While Zhao Yunlan sleeps, Shen Wei takes the opportunity to check up on his special pendant necklace that he bought at a bong shop when he was in college.
Tumblr media
Back in the full ensemble, Shen Wei is ready to have a haberdashery throwdown with his jerkass father-in-law, who normally has serious game in a plum coat and patterned vest.
Tumblr media
Today Pop Zhao has unexpectedly said “fuck it” and worn a brown sweater and beige trench.
Tumblr media
Don’t encourage Shen Wei’s boring taste in coats, Pop Zhao!
After easily winning the best-dressed award at tea, Shen Wei accessorizes his look with cheekbones that could cut glass, and his best “oops, busted” face when Zhao Yunlan sees him hanging out with the parent ZY hates so much that he has the same job and facial hair as him.
Tumblr media
That leads to a wonderfully layered interaction, in which Shen Wei just kind of stands in front of Zhao Yunlan refusing to engage with his need for control, while Zhao Yunlan roasts Shen Wei for being untrustworthy...and then offers him a ride back to the office.
Tumblr media
Guardian is so good at capturing the constantly-fluctuating state of a deep relationship, in which you can be fighting on one level and totally fine on another level; where you’re going to have a donnybrook with your lover but first you’re going to get a decent meal into them.
Skipping!
We’re skipping over the increasingly bloody tee-shirt ensemble that appears in the final episodes. That look says, “anti-gay narrative tropes suck.”
Instead, check out this beauty that Shen Wei wore for one poorly-lit scene early in the show. This is the only time he wears a fully-matched 3-piece suit and he SLAYS in it. And then puts it in mothballs forever.
Tumblr media
I guess when you’re wearing an outfit the first time your sweetheart breaks into your apartment and disorganizes your panty drawer, you only want to wear it for the most special occasions after that.
Look 33
After a bunch of unnecessary yet compellingly-acted death, Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan meet up outside of time and space in a Windows 95 screensaver.
Tumblr media
[That is a Gen X joke. OP is old.]
Shen Wei’s look for this meeting is the same one he wore the day they met in the modern world - the double-breasted 10-button vest, with arm garters and now also (SIGH) tears in his eyes. Instead of that, here is an infinite loop of Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan talking over dinner in their kitchen, because screw Episode 40.
Tumblr media
Look 34
Exiting the screensaver, Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan fall out into the AU of your choice, because they realize that they left the wormhole together last time so it shouldn’t be too difficult to leave it together this time. They can just hold hands while they leave, for fuck’s sake.
In the AU of your choice they get married in these beautiful suits, as seen in Bazaar magazine.
Tumblr media
Shen Wei’s look here features tousled hair and the glasses-free look he prefers when he’s with his true love. This is the first black suit we’ve seen him in, and he’s doing fine work in it, particularly with the gold bola thingy he’s wearing at the collar.  Zhao Yunlan is so hot here that only Shen Wei dares to touch him.
Tumblr media
Look 35
For the beach party they throw for their AU friends and neighbors a month after the wedding, (also courtesy of Bazaar’s photoshoot) Shen Wei chooses this short-legged suit with white canvas shoes, a lovely display of calf and a sprinkling of leg hair.
Tumblr media
This look says, I love you forever and I'm pretty sure I can give you a spinal adjustment using only my leg muscles.
Tumblr media
Shen Wei has replaced his bong-shop pendant with a tasteful diamond bar necklace, which was an apology gift from Zhao Yunlan after ZY intentionally accidentally set fire to Swamp Coats 1 through 4.
Near his heart Shen Wei is wearing a tie pin (sans tie) that’s made out of a lollipop stick.
Preview
Tumblr media
The next post features Shen Wei’s cosplay looks including Black Robe Envoy and Ye Zun!

The YinYang Master (2021) liveblog
okay so the city is where the people live and outside of the city is where the monsters live, got it
the yinyang bureau are the dudes who fight the monsters? sure
off the bat, chen kun (qingming) is accused of like killing a bunch of people in the bureau, no clue if he actually did it, but the person i assume to be the female interest does not believe a word of it (or does she)
anyway, he gets the fuck out of there, good for him
seven years later?
are these?
three raccoons in a trench coat?
there are. there are three raccoons in a trench coat, each wielding a sharp and deadly weapon
it’s been ten minutes and this movie has got my attention
OH WE’RE GETTING CHEN KUN WHO FIGHTS WITH A FAN
AND DRINKS LIKE A FISH
AND HOPS AROUND WITH HIS HAIR LOOSE GOOD LORD
hello flying demon things I like your wings
here’s the female love interest again and uh
she’s
a bit terrifying now
whoever is dubbing her must’ve smoked two packs a day for ten years because holy hell that is some gravel
the flying demon thing stole some red gem that I assume is very important
SHE TOOK HIS ASS DOWN WITH ONE ARROW
NOT TO BE A LESBIAN BUT OH MY GOD
okay these things aren’t raccoons, what the hell are they? are the weasels? I’m gonna call them weasels
anyway I’ve had these weasels for 15 minutes but if anything happens to them
THEY ARE FERRETS
A FERRET SWALLOWED THE RED GEM THING
this is quickly getting out of hand you feel me?
OH MY GOOOOOD WHO IS THIS LADY VILLAIN NOW
can you imagine having to report to your boss like, I stole the thingy but then I was defeated by three ferrets
I would die on the spot, like rip to this dude but I’m different
she has some kind of freezing ice power and I like it
now where are we
THERE ARE BADASS LADIES EVERYWHERE IN THIS GUYS
GUYS
I HAVE BEEN MISLED ABOUT THIS MOVIE
AND WHAT IS THIS LOOK? GOOD GOD
Tumblr media
anyway, I’m not feeling too hot about this poor ferret’s prospects bc that red gem thing TALKS TO YOU and it sound pretty evil
ah shit, so the yinyang bureau is all like “those ferrets belong to qingming so he’s the one who did it, which means we were right to accuse him of trying to steal the red gem seven years ago”
no wonder this dude drinks, everyone’s out to get him
so the red gem is actually the snake? or like it was the snake? or is the soul of the snake?
this official-looking dude is just talking shit in front of this gravelly female chief of the bureau like he’s got a death wish
good, tell him to zip it
oh shit now we’re getting some past events and they are.... eventful
hm this cimu guy is getting a lot of screen time for a dead dude, perhaps he is not dead?
just now realizing the yinyang bureau boss lady is zhou xun I feel stupid
BOYA
he’s in some deep shit for losing the tribute to a drunk dude and a bunch of ferrets in a trench coat
and I have to say that’s a pretty valid thing to be in trouble for
"I fought with Qingming and he fled in defeat” *SNORT*
did this girl just
hit him with a really long cucumber?
w h a t  i s  h a p p e n i n g
her name is Shenle and I am now signing the adoption papers
her and boya are going into the monster realm to find qingming and I can just sense a bunch of oncoming shenanigans
Tumblr media
I was right
i’m just now realizing that qingming intentionally left boya this spell so he can summon the bridge and come find him
what are you up to mister?
GUYS THIS MONSTER REALM
THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I PICTURED GHOST CITY IN TGCF AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH
qingming just made boya his familiar and let me tell you
not nearly as romantic as it was in the dream of eternity
BUT FUNNY THO
qingming is kind of a dick too and I think I like him more
jghgjfkdghdks what is this little red monster thingy what is happening
idk what makes costume designers stuff chen kun in these high collar robes but I am here for this look
ACTION ACTION ACTION FIGHT
this is a lot of romance for me personally right now but
i’m fucking really digging the fact that both chen kun and zhou xun are like
grown-ass adults and experienced actors
she’s even older than him by a couple of years I think so like
for a hetero romance this is basically the only kind I care to see
I KNEW CIMU WAS UP TO NO GOOD
oh maybe he’s dead actually? what is his DEAL
okay this lady isn’t listening to anything you’re saying like why even bother
this poor fucking ferret
OH NO
NOT THE FERRET
okay this bitch can eat my entire asshole, fuck her and her righteous bullshit
aaaand now we’re all getting drunk
chen kun shouldn’t be allowed to do anything ever seriously he’s too hot to exist I feel attacked
hey asshole lady, do you think maybe now you can admit you were wrong and qingming was right?
now we’re all “I should’ve trusted you”
she’s literally going “when this is over, this bracelet will be yours again” I know there’s some magic thing happening w the bracelet but that’s an euphemism if I’ve ever heard one
you just called him a monster to his face like 10 minutes ago
this lady’s got some balls
qingming you’re too nice, I would’ve made her work for it
OH WE GET TO MEET THE BAD GUY BOSS
hnggg this fight scene is just
Tumblr media
I am watching this film for the plot
oh crap the asshole lady is dead already?
that was a short redemption arc
and the snow lady is dead too hmpf I actually liked her unhinged little laugh
I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW WHO THE BAD GUYS IS
i feel like the entire monster-fucking dark side of tumblr needs to get a load of this dude
Tumblr media
where you going spider dude?
oh this is
not a good development
okay I am definitely not vibing with boya being depicted as an absolute dumbass for 90% of this film like
you could take him out of the movie completely and not lose any of the plot which is... not good
Tumblr media
STOP STOP I’M ALREADY DEAD
I have to say these special effects are a bit over the top but so visually satisfying omg
also like
making me actually invested in every single small character within a space of 2.5 hours is pretty impressive
Tumblr media
hngggg
i’m starting to think that the whole point of this movie is to showcase how hot chen kun is in any clothing with any hair under any circumstances
oh so now that the bad guy is dead the asshole lady is alive again
which is kind of a cop-out but whatever
“you promised to live and die by my side and never betray me” BIG WORDS FROM SOMEONE WHO BETRAYED HIM FIRST
ahh I get what he did now
that’s pretty cool
and kind of sad
I’m not crying kind of sad but that shit hurted
still, I do like this ending
although this whole thing would’ve been much better as a drama at least 30 episodes long I don’t feel like I wasted 2.5 hours
so yeah, I def rec this if you have time to kill

Gonna post some Zoophobia art here to tumblr since I always seem to forget So what started off as sketches turned into a small headcannon I made for Francesca, her older design in my NGAU has since been updated compared to when I first drew her. I changed up her hair style and clothes to give her a more matured look, also, pointy vampires ears, I had to add them. Sum notes on her -Francesca runs an independent hair salon in Safe Haven. Though she runs her own business she is a fierce supporter to her younger sisters Pepper's and Bamibi's species appreciation acceptance club. Francesca gives me a laid back and relaxed vibe, she's chill. She'll show up to events hosted by her sisters, sporting their species acceptance t-shirt merchandise and blow into a party horn with a lazed smile on her face. Despite her lay about arguably lazy side she is very caring, being a big sister, and is often the voice of reason among her two sisters when they're thinking about doing something crazy. -Francesca is hella gay, in her first years of ZPA she was a bit of a closet gay, not really confident to talk to girls she thought where pretty. It wasn't until she had her first fling with Camilla did she finally embrace it, Camilla and herself had a friends with benefits sort of deal during their years at ZPA. They'd laugh together, do dance class together, judge people together, fuck together: you know, typical best friend things. In Francesca's third year she began to grow a bit more confident in herself, and in the end her and Camilla stayed as very close friends. -Not shown above but Francesca is married to Spring, Autumn's sister. Spring works as a professional yoga instructor, hosting yoga classes out in the middle of sunny fields to be one with nature, her powers making her perfectly skilled in the art of growing and nurturing flowers and plants of all kind to bloom, a perfect relaxed environment to practice the art of yoga. The two met when Summer dragged her older, slightly anti social sister to Francesca's salon for a hair doo. Though scatter brained and a little forgetful Spring means well, embracing her hippy dippy ways to be one with nature. Her siblings are all generally okay with this, buuuut because of how much time she spends in nature Spring sometimes forgets to trim that mane of hair, and more often then not one of them has to drag her out to get a trim. Francesca is not intimidated by the tall women with a head of green hair flowing to the back of her knees, and confidently arms herself with her scissors and hair ties. It took a whole day for Fransceca to tame the hair into a more manageable style, Spring's siblings simply said that they wanted Spring's face to be visible, and that Fransesca had free will to style the hair how she liked. After she's finished and Fransesca gets her first propper look at the timid customer, she's already drawn to her shy nature. Francesca, though being a bit of a wild card, has a thing for shy people, perhaps it's a bit of vampire quirkiness, perhaps she likes the idea of someone shy and timid when she flashes all but a single toothy grin (Simon was and still kind is a bit of a sadist, he had no issue biting Fabian or restraining Zill, heck he even seemed pleased at the idea of drinking Carries blood cuz she was a demon - he's got some sadist nature in him, and it rubbed off on Francesca just a wee bit). Fransesca is laying out her smoothest flirts and pick up lines, all of which Spring replies too with a flustered deer whinny sound. Fransesca confidently gives Spring her card with a wink, and Spring hurriedly leaves. In the end Peppers and Summer got fed up of Spring pinning for Fransceca who was having way to much fun getting Spring all flustered that the two put them up on a yoga date. Fransesca had been pretty stressed out lately with helping Peppers and Bambi with big events at the centre, and so Spring gave her a full yoga therapy session. Fransesca at first doesn't really see the point in sitting in a field in some weird robe thingy, or walking calmly through the grass bare foot, or listening to the sound of a stream - yet, she tries anyway, mostly going into this yoga session thinking it would be all laughs and jokes. She's very surprised at just how..good Spring is at getting her to relax, there's something so soothing about Spring's voice it actually lulled her to sleep at one point, her snoring kinda broke the atmosphere Spring had going. They're happily married, Fransesca loves her dorky deer wifey -Blaire has a somewhat tense relationship with her mother Camilla, with the lack of a motherly figure in her life Blaire unconsciously seeks approval from the older female figures in her life: those two being Rosie, and Fransesca. Blaire is currently studying beauty and fashion at ZPA, despite what others think she's actually really found of exploring different fashion themes and playing around with hair dyes. She currently has a job working at Fransecsca's hair salon, she has yet to actually do any styling herself and works mostly behind the till. It's not the job she wanted, and it's pretty sucky, pretty damn boring. Fransesca sees that Blaire is obviously not having fun, not like Blaire was trying to hide it, so Franscesca one day gives Blaire a mannequin head and wig, and tells her to 'show what shes got' Blaire was a bit nervous at first, feeling as though this was some test, didn't help that Fransesca was watching silently the entire time. By the time she's finished Fransesca walks over to inspect her work, Fransesca doesn't sugar coat, she's to the point and Blaire may have been a little hurt. Then Fransesca gives her shoulder a friendly punch and admits that she's seen worse, and that Blaire has some potential for this kind of work. She takes Blaire on as a sort of apprentice, but it doesn't take long for the two to have a more relaxed bond then a worker and boss one. Francesca comes to enjoy the snarky brat, she sees a lot of herself in her DO NOT REPOST/EDIT/COPY/TRACE MY ART Franscesca/Bambi/Pepper/Spring/Simon/Camilla - Zoophobia Blaire - me

dangerously (v)
Tumblr media
Genre: Uhm. Kinda everything, from angst through fluff to smut Word count: 10k  Pairing: Prince!Jaehyun x Mafia!Reader Warning: Cursing, underage smoking, drinking, use of drugs, even more cursing, smut in upcoming chapters. There’s a lot and I might have left some out oops. Summary: You were polar opposites. He was royalty, you were a criminal. You hated him, he hated you. This mission was the last thing any of you wanted, but you had to make it work. But could you?  TW: domestic abuse, violence
a/n: hello to every single one of you<3 so here we are again. me being ridiculously late, and you being like “wait whats this fanfic again i dont remember” hnng. SO here is part 5 of dangerously:) i promised a double update - which is going to happen. this is part 5, and i think next week ill upload part 6. i hope that’s alright:) (the whole chapter was 20k but i think its more reasonable if i upload it in two parts). Thank you so so so much for all the people that reminded me to keep going and keep writing. to everyone who likes this mess of words i manage to put together. i love you all, from the bottom of my heart.  also, i put a keep reading thingy on. i pray it works.
Previously: It all went down in slow motion.  The dancefloor of the gigantic room cleared out, the remaining guests pushing themselves up against the walls. Pure terror was written all over their faces, at the scene that played in the very middle of the room.   Prince Chenle stood there.   With a knife at his throat.   And at the end of the knife, the person who was holding it… Junhui.   You stopped breathing as you took in his face, took in that familiar, sharp smile. As your eyes met with Yukhei’s from across the room, you were certain he was horrified, just as much as you.   They were here.   The Black Spade was here.
The air was stiff, tense; you felt the droplet of sweat on your neck before it had a chance to slide down. You were aware of everything suddenly, the sharp breaths of the elite guests, the faint clinking of your jewellery, the clamminess of your palms as you tightened your fist. You were in deep shit and you had a vague idea of what the outcome might be if you didn’t think of a solution quick enough.
It’s been three years since you saw any member of the Black Spade.
Not like you regretted it, or that you had wished to see them. It simply made you nervous, made you hyper-aware of your surroundings. Now, that one of them – if not all – is in the same room as you, some sort of perverse euphoria took over your brain, that they see you, and they want to kill you, and they have no idea how much can be done in the span of three years.
“Long time no see, beautiful,” drifted Junhui’s voice, and you swore the blood froze in your veins. His ashy hair fell into his eyes as he tilted his head slightly, his cupid’s bow-like lips curling into a vicious, Cheshire-cat smile. He looked different since the last time you saw him, but if it surprised you, the feeling slid away into a secluded, subconscious part of your brain. It was not the appropriate time to think about the appearance of a conman. It was never the same.
Even though he was standing far away from you, you felt feather-light touches caress your arms, ice-cold breath brushing your neck and even colder lips linger above your shoulder.
Mirroring his expression, you placed your weight on your right leg and cocked your waist out. The dress shifted around your legs, the slit moving so that your left leg was let bare. You replaced your shocked expression with one of confidence, of piercing ice.
“Let the prince go, Junhui,” you breathed as you kept eye-contact with him, no matter the amount of memories and even more regrets flashing into your mind.
His grip tightened on the knife and Chenle hissed as a droplet of blood slid down on the front of his neck.
For fucks sake.
The youngest prince was supposed to be down in the basement along with his brother Donghyuck and Winwin…where are they? What happened to them?
You did not dare glancing up at the balcony, where Taeyong and Doyoung lay, scared that a single look might serve as a clue to the one of the conmen of the Black Spade.
“Come and take him, assassin,” mused Jun and you tilted your head to the side as invitation.
“Where is the rest of your precious little gang, Jun?” you asked, masking your voice with the similar silky tone the conman sported. He ran his eyes over your figure then, something like bizarre satisfaction flashing in the dark orbs.
“Three years ago,” Junhui purred, ignoring your question, as he flattened the blade on Chenle’s neck, “you pulled an impressive stunt.” You felt all eyes on you and him, the guests remaining backed up until the ivory and gold embroidered walls. You kept yourself straightened, focused on your breathing and let your hand linger around the dagger hidden under your dress.
“Don’t evade,” you said then, icy edge wedging itself between your words, “let the prince go and show your faces so we can settle this properly.”
A beat of silence, then Junhui craned his neck back as he let out a booming laugh. The knife tightened on Chenle’s neck and his panicked eyes searched yours.
“Settle this properly?” crowed Jun then before his lips curled back in a vicious snarl. You felt the whole room tense at the sheer animosity. “And what does this ‘settling’ mean for you, huh, dear? Shooting someone in the head? Or stabbing them in the neck, maybe blow their guts up with the help of your little arsonist?” his eyes narrowed into slits as he drank up your facial expression, “or does spreading your legs nice and wide does the job for everyone?”
You stopped breathing.
Talk.
This is all talk, and he talked too much –
Stalling. Was he stalling?
You didn’t dare look up at the balcony, it would just give him an idea of Taeyong’s and Doyoung’s whereabouts…
“That’s quite enough, Jun,” a voice sounded then, echoing through the deadly silent ballroom.
A figure emerged, muscular and clad in black. His hair was smoothed back onto his scalp, revealing a creaseless forehead and bedroom eyes, wide and dark. An easy, light-hearted smile coated his lips and his name flashed in your mind immediately.
Seungcheol.
Then you felt a presence at your back, a whiff of spicy cologne and smoke – Taeyong stepped beside you. You felt a wave of relief wash over you, with enough force to blacken your senses for a single second. But Taeyong didn’t look at you, didn’t even graze his fingers against yours, his gaze was fixated on the rival gang’s leader and conman.
Rage rippled off him – you felt it, Jun felt it, and you reckoned that the entire room felt it too. It was quiet and icy, cold enough to freeze lakes over.
“We didn’t come to fight tonight,” Seungcheol said then. His voice was deep and rough, embers of arrogant authority sizzling. You cringed and watched the knife at Chenle’s neck.
“Of course, you didn’t,” breezed Taeyong, his crimson hair smoothed back, emphasizing his elegantly tilted cat-like eyes, flashing, “you hold daggers to princes’ necks for the laugh.”
Seungcheol let out a deep chuckle and Junhui grinned, tightening his grip.
“You are slick ones, you know,” the Black Spade’s leader said, leisurely placing his hands in his pockets. A move of superiority. A move of arrogance. “We managed to catch this little one here only, the rest – “
He looked at you then, his depthless black eyes raking over your form smoothly and you forced yourself not to flinch.
“– scattered. Like underground rats.”
As if on command, tiny red dots flashed up on their skin – not yours or Taeyong’s but the others, and it took them a whole ten seconds to realize it.
And when they did, you managed to grin as if you had been planning it all along.
“Rats, you say?” you hummed and dared a glance behind Seungcheol and Junhui – where Yukhei was supposed to be but you found nothing other than an empty macaron plate. He managed to get out – through the servant corridors.
“Let go of the prince, Junhui,” Taeyong said then, his voice barely louder than a faint whisper, but much, much more powerful.
The conman and his leader exchanged a quick glance before Jun lifted the dagger from Chenle’s neck and pushed the princeling away from him. He stumbled but didn’t fall and his eyes found yours immediately. It took Chenle no time to be at your side, his breathing and legs shaky. You grabbed his wrist and manoeuvred yourself in front of him.
“Consider this a warning,” Seungcheol murmured then, “we see and hear everything, and remember, the blade of the spade cuts the snake’s head off.”
You fought the urge to roll your eyes.
“Just take the rest of your ragtag and fuck off,” grumbled Taeyong and turning on his heels, walked out of the ballroom.
For a second you held Junhui’s eyes, then turning around you followed your leader, not letting the prince’s hand go.
You flinched, hard, when the double-winged door banged closed behind your back.
Three and a half hours, four shots of whisky and an entire pack of cigarettes later your fingers still seemed to tremble, and you considered chopping them off with one of Doyoung’s crooked daggers. This was after you finally stopped running your eyes over your family and the princes, looking for hidden injuries, panicked flashes in the eyes or a shaky breath – which you had found plenty. None of you changed out of your elegant clothing. If someone had walked into the suite with no knowledge or context regarding your history, they would have perceived the situation as something beautifully morbid. Suits were crumpled – the immaculacy only a tell-tale of what was supposed to happen, and the weapons scattered around the velvet sofas did not seem as intimidating as they should have been.
Chenle was sitting on a big, plush sofa – his entire body shaking, sweat dripping off his brows – Renjun and Jungwoo sat by him, encasing him with their bodies, wiping the cold beads from his eyes and neck. You swore you saw Jungwoo’s hand tremble the entire time.
Johnny ran his fingers through his hair – once brushed elegantly, now hanging low into his brows. His eyes kept going to his youngest brother, guilt glinting there now and then.
“We were right then,” he murmured, his voice hushed yet it seemed like a shout in the painfully quiet room, “it has been the Black Spade all along.”
Ten and Jeno exchanged glances and you hummed. The only noise coming out of you since you collapsed onto a couple-sofa with Winwin.
Maybe that was why Prince Yuta’s sharp eyes cut to your features immediately.
“Miss Assassin seemed to have a moment there,” you thought he wanted his voice to be threatening and reckoning but you felt nothing other than a hollow sort of static noise.
Taeyong turned towards the prince before exhaling a thick cloud of smoke that encased his face for a second.
“She owes no explanation, even for Your Highnesses.”
“Maybe she doesn’t,” Johnny said, his eyes now set on you hesitantly and you stared back with an empty expression, “but what if it has significance?”
Doyoung squinted.
“It doesn’t.”
“Maybe it does.”
“Trust me, it does not.”
Jaehyun drew in a sharp breath.
You didn’t look at him. Didn’t dare to or didn’t want to, that did not matter. You still felt the warmth of his breath on the tip of your nose.
“It might have some, though,” you interrupted, and everyone looked at you. Tilting your head back entirely, you rested it against the head of the loveseat and Winwin reached underneath the nape of your neck. You let out a small, thankful smile.
Sitting in the crossfire of burning gazes, you began to tell a story.
Everything has a start. The creation of Earth, the start of civilisations, kings and queens begin their lives as toddlers like everyone and everything else. Gangs, mafias don’t emerge the way they are now. They are not born as complete, safe empires. They crawl out as muddy and clawed hands; they pull themselves through sewers and tunnels and they scratch and cut themselves in the process – but it doesn’t matter because the purpose is stronger than the circumstance.
The journey is long – never ending. Your growth never stops, there is no limit of being better – or worse. And you believe you haven’t gone down the right path. But does being good mean being right? No one knows the answer to that.
You took a deep, deep breath before starting.
“There hasn’t always been war between the Black Spade and the Diamond Snake. In fact, it started off as something as close as a brotherhood. It crumbled three years ago – I believe people have heard about it. It was all over the media. Before that happened… Dear heavens, we were inseparable, we even thought about merging our gangs. I was nineteen at the time it all fell apart…an age where you ardently believe you are mature enough for whatever might come your way. The age when life seems to throw its heaviest and sharpest stones at you. Three years ago, our family was thriving already…but only because of Seungcheol’s – the Black Spade’s leader’s – help.”
“The Black Spade is a bit older than us. Even though we are around the same age, they began their businesses much earlier. They were already dealing serious things when we only ran around, wreaking havoc, stealing and just…living life at its fullest. In the foulest ways possible. It was Seungcheol who told Taeyong that he should get into similar business like him. I remember, he said something along the lines of: “There is potential in you, brother. Great potential.”
I was thirteen then. Taeyong was barely sixteen. We admired the way he built up something like a kingdom, we were there when the fundamental stones were placed down. So, we began to do the same. We built up bases, created businesses, recruited people. He stood with us the whole time, helping us, advising when we needed it.
For two years, everything went smoothly. I was already good at fighting – living on the streets isn’t the best thing for a girl. Especially in that part of the city. But Doyoung and I began to train, to be weapons, irreplaceable assets. We were trained by ex-assassins, spies, conmen, any person who has once been great, and had enough skill and power to make empires crumble into pieces. Working on the streets and in the underworld had its perks.
During those two years, the two gangs shared dreams. We had great plans…overly ambitious at the time but we were so determined – it was impossible to keep us down, to make us give up on those ambitions. It didn’t stray us that their gang structure was different from what we planned.”
You inhaled deeply and let out a shaky laugh. Winwin squeezed your shoulder.
“The Black Spade has a unique way of…working. I will try my best to tell you what I know about it.”
You looked around the room, sweeping your eyes over the princes and gang members. They huddled around you and drank up each word you said. As you looked at them you realised – for the first time, there was no place for anger, prejudice or even disgust in the room. The princes and gang members sat by each other one by one, brushing shoulders, crossing legs. Not enemies. Something close to acquaintances. Not friends yet, no… but you felt like you were on the right path towards that. Maybe this mission which became a catastrophic mess, the embodiment of your mutual enemy – this was perhaps what you needed most to be pushed together, to begin acting like an alliance instead of two reluctant parties forced into working together.
You continued with a small, bitter smile and tucked your trembling hands under your thighs.
“The Black Spade hits and runs, without lingering. When you realize what they have done…you feel numb and out of place. They work and move in sync, through careful planning and execution of strategy. In and out. They work for money, for men of status and they are not afraid to do the dirty work. They work long-term, taking down their prey over periods of times, working their ways into systems and hearts. This is exactly what they were becoming after that year. The inner circle had roles and jobs – just like us. But they are trained to do the dirtiest and foulest of works. We have spies – but they have conmen. Their names are Jeonghan and… and Junhui.”
You said the last name with a dying breath. Pressure held your throat together as you fought the urge to shake. Winwin’s pinkie finger began to trace calming patterns on your shoulders.
“They are worse than spies, they don’t get the information like us – by listening carefully and paying attention to details, or even hacking. No. They deceive you; they make you trust them; make you believe that they are more important than what you are truly protecting. They take the information, and they make sure to destroy you afterwards. Slow and steady. That was the path they started to follow. Their ambitions took a dark turn, one we were not willing to follow. Taeyong wasn’t, at least. More complications arose and more fights broke out between the two gangs. The last one was between Doyoung and Wonwoo, one of the Spades’ assassins. It turned bad…Both Yukhei and Taeyong were needed to hold Doyoung back, and Mingyu – another Spade assassin and Seungcheol, their leader, to keep Wonwoo from throwing daggers at Doyoung. It was a mess. Pure chaos.
That was when things turned around for us, we strayed apart from each other, went on different paths, different parts of the city. After another half a year, we started a race. To see who has more territory, more assets and influence over wealthy people. It was obvious, after a while, that they worked against us on purpose, but it was too late for them. We grew stronger, we knew their ways of working and we developed ours – a new system, something that was unfamiliar for them. That went on for…I believe I was almost eighteen when I met Junhui again. The last time I saw him was two-three years before that.”
Another breath. You felt your heart hammer against your chest as you tried desperately to calm it down by taking deep breaths. But it did not seem to work, and the dress started to feel tighter, more open – too revealing.
“I’d always found him attractive. So, when we met again accidentally on a mission, where both of us had the same target…those old emotions re-surfaced. For me, at least. One thing led to the other…The next thing I knew I was sneaking out of the Viper’s Pit, our home and headquarters, to meet up with him. I believe the thrill that we were lovers like Romeo and Juliet, from two families who have developed hatred toward one another, fired our emotions up. He was irresistible. I knew I was doing the wrong thing, deep inside me, but I felt like for once, I would be young and foolish. That I could afford it and could get away with it later. That even if it ends, if emotions die or our families find out, we have learned something new from each other, from the whole situation.”
“So, we continued meeting up. Secret rendezvous. We shared everything. Our pasts, our feelings, our deepest secrets and doubts.
Then one day, he started asking about things that weren’t related to my own feelings…he asked about the Snakes, first about how my relationship was with them, then slowly about how we work. And I was so in love, I was so sure that he wanted to know where I come from, where and how I live…I gave him everything he wanted to know.”
You took a breath. Then another. Then another.
And you swallowed back the lumps in your throat, because thinking about the mistakes you have made was much, much harder than you thought it would be. The barricades, the walls you have placed between your memories and your thoughts seemed to weaken as you talked about him. You saw a mixture of emotions when you looked around the room, ran your eyes through the princes and your family.
The young princes…their eyes were filled with held back emotions, sympathy and sorrow and something like understanding. They were young, too young to fully understand how it must have felt like to go through these things but…they were smart enough to comprehend other aspects of it. The choices, the danger of trusting and the importance of keeping vital information to yourself. To not let emotions come in the way of that.
Then you glanced over at the four older royals…their expressions were a haze, a mess of swirling emotions. It was so clear, in that moment, what each of them felt. As if everyone had dropped down their guards along with you.
Prince Johnny swallowed; you saw his throat bob as he looked away from your face – to stare at his own feet instead. Was it pity? You didn’t know, and you weren’t sure you desired to find out. Yuta’s expression was perhaps the most shocking one. He was leaning back on an armchair, his legs crossed and his head resting in his palm. In his eyes – a sharp glint of understanding. His bone-chilling attitude seemed to have melted in that moment. The edge didn’t leave his eyes but was joined with something new. Something soft and forgiving. Prince Jungwoo had a similar calculating look in his sweet, brown eyes. Although he wasn’t looking at you only. His eyes kept sweeping over your family, their expressions while listening to your story. The big picture.
Finally, you let yourself glance at Prince Jaehyun.
He stared at you, his face radiating nothing but pure curiosity and painful realisation - the information seemingly took its place in his brain like the piece of a puzzle. The key to the lock. They understood where you were getting at. They knew what it cost you to love a rival.
Your voice descended into a quiet, but steely whisper.
“After I learned all the things he’d done, how he used me for the information…I visited their nest. The Spades’ nest.”
And when you looked up again, you felt like the entire weight of a cliff rolled off your shoulders.
“And I burned it to the ground.”
“You shouldn’t have shared this much.”
These were Ten’s first words, barely a minute after the princes left Taeyong’s suite, with something like incredulous haze dwelling in their eyes. Your story was followed by a heavy silence, and you noted the quiet tears in Jaemin’s eyes. He was the most reluctant to leave, but Jaehyun pulled him along gently with a last look at you over his shoulder. You met his gaze. And let it linger.
You slid your eyes towards the spy, and it barely surprised you how much energy you had to muster for it.
“I placed the youngest prince in danger. I owed them this much.”
Ten clicked his tongue.
“You could’ve told them all this with half as much detail. Something about you and the Black Spade conman fucking, him betraying you and you taking revenge. It would’ve also taken less time.”
Winwin groaned.
“Why is it that when you open your mouth, only negative things manage to leave through it?”
“You’re one to talk.”
Kun interrupted, “We need them to trust us.” He shot you an approving look before frowning.
“You did not have motives other than that, right Z?” he looked at you more carefully.
“Of course, I didn’t, what are you talking about?” you murmured and stared at the ceiling in a rather determined manner. Jeno sat up straighter.
“Oh my god, is it because of one of the princes? You like one of them?” he grinned, his eyes contracting into half-moons.
“How did you come up with that? What does it have to do with it all? I don’t like anyone,” you hissed at no one in general. But that wasn’t enough for your family, who had entered a state of frenzy.
“It’s Johnny, isn’t it?” Winwin glanced down at you, his lips tightened so he doesn’t burst out laughing.
“No what the fuck, Win -”
“I mean I wouldn’t blame you,” Ten shrugged and you arched one of your freshly plucked eyebrows. You did not like the direction of the conversation.
“You have a daddy kink, don’t you Z? And Johnny is the daddy,” Yukhei was nodding deep in thought, as if he was a doctor writing a prescription for you. You gaped again.
“Excuse me – “
“No, I think Johnny is way too soft to be a daddy,” Doyoung shook his head and the others murmured in agreement. You were at a loss for words. Just minutes ago, you were discussing your tragic past love-story and now they were dissecting the chances of who you might fancy and their kinks-
“Nah,” Taeyong spoke up then, the one who did not render his eyes from your face ever since you finished talking about Junhui, “I don’t think it is Johnny.”
Whipping your head at your leader you shot him a betrayed look. He just stared at you with ever-knowing eyes.
“You don’t like anyone,” he tilted his head and placed his chin in his palm, “but you do find one of them fascinating, don’t you, dear?”
You squinted.
“You wouldn’t know – “
“Yes, I would,” Taeyong’s voice was hard and you clumped your mouth shut, “I have known you your entire life. Gives me enough time to figure you out.”
Shrugging, you hoisted yourself up from the sofa and stalked towards the door. You needed sleep. A day’s worth, at least. You didn’t want to listen useless talk.
“Z, wait,” Taeyong called after you regretfully. Tightening your grip on your heels, you turned around, glanced at your leader, at the rest of the Diamond Snake.
“Stay here for the night, please. Everyone will.”
He hesitated, as if saying these words caused him physical pain. He was disappointed, too. Shaken up by the night’s events like the rest of you. On the edge.
“I don’t think it is…safe yet. For us to walk around here alone. We also heard Seokjin’s words – about his office being near here. And he disappeared along with the Spades. No one knows where he might be, what he might be planning along with these little shits.”
You saw his point, and you hated to admit that you agreed with him. A part of you wanted to say that you’re fine off alone, that you can protect yourself… but tonight’s events upset you, too. The moment of realisation, while Seokjin held your hair wrapped around his finger, that you knew nothing, that you stalked straight into a trap in golden stilettos. And that you had no idea.
With a sigh, you dumped your heels back on the ground.
“Fine. But I want the bed.”
Tae let out a sigh of relief.
But not even the soft privilege of the bed was enough to lull you into sleep that night.
The next few days, most of your group retreated into a nerve-wrecking calm, even Yukhei was quieter and less lively than usual. It was nice to see that you were not alone in this pit of…lethargic feelings because of the ball. The next week was spent in solitude, the entire inner circle gathering up in Taeyong’s suite, eating and sleeping together. If anyone else saw you, they would have straight up called you miserable. The usual teasing, yelling and disastrous attitude towards the cleanliness of the place was nowhere to be seen.
“We haven’t been that lucky while being here, have we?” Doyoung piped up one evening, with Taeil and yourself sitting on the balcony, smoking in silence. You placed your legs in Taeil’s lap.
“What do you mean?” the eldest of the group asked as he smashed the remnants of his cigarette.
Doyoung shrugged.
“Well, look at the first mission. That wasn’t carried out so well either,” his voice sounded sarcastically cheerful, but you caught the tone of disappointment. Doyoung has always been the type to be adamant on succeeding on the events and actions and whatever objective you had in mind. You hardly failed. And it has never happened two times in a row, until now.
You wanted to say something soothing, but the words got caught in your mouth.
Taeil drew circles absently on the skin of your ankle.
“Well the first mission was good to earn the Royals’ trust, no?” he said then. The raven assassin inclined his head.
“Yeah, but Z got injured,” he countered, and you groaned, “so the two cancels itself out.”
Taeil chuckled.
“Based on what?”
“PEMDAS?”
You chucked the pack at Doyoung’s head. He threw it right back.
“We have to come up with something. We can’t keep going on like this,” you said after tugging out a new piece from the pack.
“What do you mean?”
“I feel like we have been feeling around in the dark so far. We weren’t sure who stood behind the attacks, we could only play a role as bodyguards. But now we know it is the Black Spade for sure. Just think, what would we do normally?” you straightened up while talking, folding your legs underneath yourself.
“We need to sniff around the Spades… find out the location of their headquarters, their current customers and deals,” Taeil caught up with your thinking and you nodded.
Doyoung’s eyes shone as he leaned forward.
“On the other hand, we need to get ready for any following attacks. We need to recruit more Snakes for this job, the inner circle can’t stay the only ones working on this case,” he thought out loud, “Ask for a new place from the Royals, and no one should know about it… not even the princes. Then we need to visit the Headquarters, see who can be used for the job. And then we need spies stuck onto the Spades… but I’m not so sure about that. Remember what happened last time?” he grimaced.
You shuddered as you recalled what happened the first and last time you set three of your spies onto the Black Spade. You could hardly identify them two days later, when you found them at an abandoned bus stop by an empty road.
Taeil let out a pained sigh.
“That means we will need to hire someone who does not belong to us and is further independent from other gangs… and who knows how things work in the Underworld, knows people, has connections… Doyoung, all the people who would be perfectly up for the job belong to us.”
“Not really,” you spoke up then, a triumphant grin stretching on your face, “there is someone who would be perfect for the job. Or more like someones.”
Doyoung’s mouth hanged open after a minute of silence.
“Z no. I don’t want to see those little shits ever again.”
You slammed your hands on the arms of the wooden chair and shooting up on your legs, you smashed the cigarette that was not done simmering.
“Z yes. I’m gonna talk to Tae. Call the rest of the Snakes together,” was all you said before you hurried inside the suite.
Luckily, all of the members were inside already. You agreed not to roam around at night, especially alone, so it became a fixed routine, that all the Snakes are back in the suite around early evening, doing their own things, scattered around the place.
As usual, Jisung and Winwin were on the floor in one of the living room’s corners, surrounded by cables and computers. Ten, Jeno and Yukhei were watching a video on one of their phones – something violent, judging by the crashing sounds blasting on full volume. Taeyong and Kun were bent over a pile of papers, thrown messily around on the coffee table. You sauntered over.
“I have an idea.”
Both of them flinched at the unexpected voice and the victorious cheer it held. Kun squinted.
“What have you cooked up now, Z?”
You jerked your head towards the couches and armchairs arranged into a half circle in the middle of the living room. That area became the core of the preparations, the talks, the planning.
Shortly after the Snakes got comfortable, you began sharing your idea. Summing Taeil’s, Doyoung’s and your own ideas, you drew up the problems that you stand against – and how you should solve them. The attitude you should adjust to. When you finished with the problem-solution speech, you went quiet, waiting to see if they followed you, to see if they understood.
After a beat of silence, Yukhei’s head shot up.
“You’re gonna suggest we talk to the Shenanigans?”
Taeyong’s eyes widened. Winwin let out a sound that might have been called a whimper. Jeno and Jisung grinned.
You nodded.
“I say we talk to the Shenanigans. Listen, if anyone knows the Underworld and its dealings better than us and other gangs, it’s them,” you ran your eyes over the members.
“They are so disrespectful,” Doyoung whined.
“What do you expect from a bunch of outcast kids?” Jeno shot back before looking at you and Jisung, who hasn’t said anything the entire time.
“I like Z’s idea. I’m in. And you know what guys? You old people won’t even need to see them. Jisung and I can go talk with them, we are the same age anyways.”
You let out an impressed hum and swung your legs over into Yukhei’s lap.
“The two of you is not enough. You need more people, so maybe you should take Yukhei as well. They seemed to like him last time,” Taeyong tilted his head, “maybe you could bring the young royals with you too.”
“Okay no need to go overboard now – “Kun spoke up, but you interrupted him.
“Wicked. I like it. And maybe one elder for added authority and to show it’s a serious case.”
“No more adults though. Yukhei and an older royal is borderline intolerable for the Devil’s spawns,” Doyoung drawled as he ran through a hand through his hair.
Everyone looked at Taeyong, waiting to see what he says. Jeno and Jisung exchanged a quick glance and Yukhei played with the nail polish on your toes. You could see your leader mulling over the exchanged ideas and propositions, saw him weigh each of them.
“We will need to execute these things as quickly and as quietly as we can,” he murmured then, drawing his cut eyebrow up. Kun and Taeil agreed with grunts of their own.
“Then we will need to divide ourselves and the royals up. One team goes to the Viper’s Pit to recruit more Snakes, the other team goes with the young princes to talk to the Shenanigans,” you jerked your head towards Jeno and Jisung.
Taeyong straightened up and said, “okay,” before heading towards the phone on the nightstand by the bed.
Before you knew it, you were on your way to Prince Johnny’s suite with Taeyong and Doyoung flagging either side of you. Following the eldest prince’s instructions, you ducked into a hidden pathway that connected all the wings of the palace and was kept a secret even from most of the servants. It is the safest mean of travel for all of us from now on, he said.
You chuckled to yourself as you listened to the loud echoes of your breaths with your leader and your fellow hitman. When exactly did you get to the point where you were allowed to visit the private suite of the Crown Prince? And exactly when did the royals stop worrying about the fact that with a single movement you could hurt them in unimaginable ways? You wanted to add ‘without feeling remorse’ but…that would have been a blatant lie.  You wiped the thoughts out of your brain.
“Did you tell him to get the princes together?” Doyoung whispered over your head to Taeyong, who nodded in response.
The walls around you were painted hastily in old fashion, and because of the damp, it started to fall off in some places.
“Ceremonious,” Doyoung groaned as he inched sideways into a corner, so that he wouldn’t touch the blight, “is this really the means by which we’re gonna have to move around in the palace?”
“Since when are you such a diva?” Taeyong murmured and you snickered.
“He’s always been like this. How can you forget it?” you countered, then shuddered when a cold breeze kissed the back of your neck. Placing your hands in the pockets of Yukhei’s hoodie, you hurried your steps.
“It’s getting colder here. Let’s hurry.”
In about five minutes you arrived at the Crown Prince’s suite and as soon as Doyoung lifted his hand to knock, the door swung open. Johnny had a slightly dishevelled look, but you didn’t have time to observe him because he ushered you inside with hurried, frantic movements. With a frown, all three of you stepped inside the –
You had no words.
You had gone speechless.
You doubted you had the appropriate vocabulary to describe the eldest prince’s suite.
Staring, you took in the spotless interior. The walls were ivory white, and the entire place had a theme of black and white. The entrance led to a small foyer, where there was a spacious closet in which you could place your shoes and coats. He then led you into the living room and as you walked inside you could feel your feet sinking into the soft, white carpet that covered the entirety of the room. You wanted this material at your place too. You were going to have to Taeyong about it later on. The living space was huge. Enormous.
There was a spacious kitchen to your right, as you stepped inside, and to your left – half of the living room was sunken into the floor, with a circle of black velvet couches, providing an intimate and cosy atmosphere to the people sitting there.
It was so luxurious and clean, you felt reluctant to touch anything so you wouldn’t smear …. yourself on it. This was ridiculous.
There are people on the street, you thought, who are starving and begging for money every day and these people have half their living room sunken inside the floor?
You heard a low scoff beside you and concluded that Doyoung must have had similar thoughts.
“Do you think the toilet flushes itself here?” he murmured into your ear and you had to clamp your hand to your mouth, so you don’t snort out loud.
“Make yourselves at home,” Johnny said then and gestured towards the couches, “The others are here.”
Indeed, the princes were scattered around the circle, wearing casual clothes. Yet again, you were glad that you wore a hoodie and sneakers instead of a full body tunic and heels. It would have been a little overkill. Placing your hands back inside the pockets, you stalked towards the royals, Tae and Doyoung following.
Yuta, who had his back to you, turned around then, and glared your way.
“We do have things to do, you know. You can’t just order us around to your conveniences.”
Doyoung glared right back.
“If it concerns your survival, damn yes we can order you around Highness. Unless, you find pompous meetings with ass-lickers more important than your skin, you are obliged to do nothing of course.”
You clamped your mouth shut when you saw the expression on Yuta’s face. But he didn’t say anything else. That was perhaps the courtesy of Jaehyun, who placed his hand on his brother’s arm. You noted that his face was grimmer than usual and the skin under his eyes were a shade darker than usual. Not that you’ve observed him before.
The other princes were sitting seemingly relaxed, chatting casually, but you caught their eyes following your every movement. Oh well. Turns out you generalised the thought that they began trusting you. Putting a light swagger in your step you flashed them a grin.
The three of you sat on a segment that was left empty by the princes.
You caught Jaemin’s eyes and he gave you an eye-smile.
“So, what is the reason for this emergency call-together?” Johnny asked as he leaned forward.
“We came to share an idea and plan we just came up with. We thought it was an emergency because it is important that we take action as soon as we can,” Taeyong said with authority in his voice. He smoothed his flaming hair out of his forehead and ran his eyes over the royals, “we will need to involve Your Highnesses in the implementation of the next task.”
Jungwoo tilted his head, “which would be?”
Doyoung took over.
“Our team will have to be divided into two. We know that the previous missions resulted in more failure than success because how little men and information we had.”
“One of the teams will have the task of heading to the Diamond Snake headquarters, the Viper’s Pit, and the other team will have to take a small trip outside the city to talk with the Shenanigans,” you explained, placing your chin on the back of your hand. You fought the urge to cringe from having all the princes’ eyes fixated on you. Especially now, after you spilled so many things from your past. Ten was right. You shouldn’t have said so much. The last thing you needed from them was their pity.
“Who are the Shenanigans?” Mark piped up, pushing his circular glasses up on his nose.
Doyoung hissed, “A group of little fu – “
“The Shenanigans are a group of boys,” you interrupted him with a pointed look in his direction, “they are a fairly young group who were outcasts. I wouldn’t say they are a gang or mafia because they don’t do dealings or jobs for higher class people. But they know how the Underworld works, where you can find gangs, mafias, how you can get to them. They know how to get information without anyone noticing, they are exceptional at blending in and working their ways through crowds and events.”
“What is our role?” a low baritone voice spoke up then, sending chills down your spine. You glanced in Jaehyun’s direction but avoided eye contact. Taeyong took over.
“We would divide both our inner circle and You Highnesses. The younger ones – Princes Mark, Renjun, Jaemin, Donghyuck and Chenle would be accompanied by Prince Jaehyun and Yukhei, Jeno and Jisung from our team. It is known that the Shenanigans don’t take too much liking to older people. We are certain that they have taken a liking to Jeno and Jisung because they are the same age, and also Yukhei who is…Yukhei, and he is liked by anyone. We thought to add Prince Jaehyun as well to take extra caution. One adult wouldn’t hurt anyone. That is, if it is alright with Your Highness,” your leader finished with a long breath.
Jaehyun thought for a while and glanced at Johnny. There was a wordless conversation between them – something most siblings shared. You knew the feeling well.
“Alright,” he said then, “I will go with them.”
The young princes nodded vehemently. Their eyes shone brightly, and it made you believe that they were enthusiastic about having a chance to go on a mission and not staying in the shadow of their older brothers. You smiled at Jaemin who returned it with a wide grin of his own.
Taeyong inclined his head.
“Prince Jaehyun and our Jeno will then join the other team at the Viper’s Pit. We will be heading to the headquarters, as we mentioned earlier, to talk with the rest of the Diamond Snake members and recruit people who are trustworthy and fit for the job. The people going there will be Z, Kun, Ten, Princes Johnny, Jungwoo, Yuta and myself. We will need to stay there for a couple of days to make sure everything goes smoothly and without complications.”
“What about the rest of your gang?” Yuta drawled.
“I will need to stay here, as I am the Taeyong’s Second,” Doyoung answered, unfazed by Yuta’s icy tone, “Winwin will monitor everything from his computers and Taeil will assist me in sorting through materials for the next mission and other precautions we will need to take.”
“Precautions?” Johnny asked. Taeyong nodded.
“We were not careful enough previously. No mistake like that will happen ever again.” his voice held solid authority, even when he apologised. In his own way.
The princes were quiet for a while, each deep in his own thought and the three of you waited patiently. Somewhat. Doyoung kept playing with the embroidery on one of the pillows until you slapped his hand away. He was this close to tearing it.
Then to your surprise, Yuta spoke up.
“When are we leaving?”
The following morning’s cold breeze sent shivers down Jaehyun’s spine. He groaned as he pulled the covers further up on himself, so it was only his eyebrows and the top of his ruffled hair that was visible. Yuta had stayed in his suite for a long time the day before and honestly, now he wished he had kicked his brother out sooner than three in the morning. He gave himself three more minutes of snoozing, though he was everything but relaxed. Jaehyun knew that if he actually relaxes in that time period, he’s going back to sleep for the next couple of hours.
With another groan he fought the covers back and sat up. He was not a morning person, and on some days, he was thankful that he was a prince with duties, otherwise he would have wasted his entire life lying in bed all day. It was 7.35 by the time he flung his jacket over his black button-up and left to join his brothers and the three Snakes at the circular driveway of the castle.
He saw that his younger brothers had taken up on his advice the previous night - that wearing something casual but elegant might be the golden middle way, to stay true to themselves without offending the Shenanigans – who openly judged adults and lived life by their own rules. Unapologetically. He’s done all the research he could last night with Yuta, but this was all he could find online, in the darkest pits of the internet. He will have to interrogate Jeno more on who exactly they were going to see.
The youngsters set a great tone, his brothers were joking around with the Snakes, and as he headed over to them, occasionally he heard Chenle’s high-pitched giggles and Yukhei’s boisterous laughter. There were only three bulletproof-ed cars waiting for them, not a police car or motorbike could be seen anywhere near them. Interesting. The first one to notice him was Mark. The younger one tilted his head to the side, so his light brown locks fell over his brows.
“Brother,” he said as a way of greeting, “we were waiting for you. I thought we agreed to meet at 7.30?” his voice was not accusatory, only confused. Jaehyun sighed as he raked his fingers through his hair and glanced back at the castle.
“Yuta came over to mine at ten.”
Mark’s mouth shaped a silent ‘o’ and he nodded understandingly. He knew that if Yuta visited someone…it led to a discussion that went on for hours at least.
Jeno stalked over and Jaehyun had to fight down the urge to wince. The Snake’s steps were near silent, even on the pebbles of the driveway, and he moved with serpentine grace. It sent chills down Jaehyun’s spine.
“Are we ready to go?” he asked and cast an eye-smile at Jaehyun, “I just told your brothers that we will be divided into three, so we fit into the cars. Princes Jaemin and Donghyuck will be with Yukhei. Mark and Renjun will be going with our Jisung and Your Highnesses Jaehyun and Chenle are with me.”
Mark and Jaehyun nodded and a quiet voice in the back of Jaehyun’s mind told him that he should consider himself to be lucky – one Snake in one car, and two Royals with them. If it came to anything unfortunate…no. It is not the time to think about betrayals or conspiracies. The Snakes were there to protect them. Not to divert the cars and crash.
So, he followed Jeno to the car at the very front and with a reluctant gaze, he waited until all his brothers were inside. And then he got in.
“I’m really excited,” Chenle said as soon as he buckled himself in, “I have heard more about the Shenanigans after yesterday.”
Jaehyun flicked his eyebrows up and looked at Jeno who was sitting at the passenger seat. The motor whirred into life underneath them.
“You have?” he asked his youngest brother. Chenle grinned at him, his eyes narrowing into cheerful slits.
“Yeah! Jeno, do you want to tell Jaehyun more about the Shenanigans?” he grabbed the seat in front of him and leaned as far as his belt allowed him. Jeno shifted so he was sitting sideways and could look at them both.
“What has Your Highness heard so far?” his voice was casual but his ebony gaze penetrated Jaehyun. The prince shrugged.
“Not much. I have done a little research. The only thing I know from the internet is that the Shenanigans are rather young, and they don’t take kindly to adults.”
Jeno nodded.
“They are known as outcasts, kids who had nowhere to go because no one wanted to take them in, but that is a false myth. They have taken up the role of outcasts on their own will. The boys who join the Shenanigans were once abused by their families. Parents, mostly,” he’d glanced at Jaehyun who forced a mask of calm on his features, “many young people know about the Shenanigans, some consider them a legend, a myth, though. Too good to be true. The ones who were able to stand up to their parents and leave – or get away one way or another, searched for the group. But they were never successful. Instead it was the Shenanigans who found them.”
Chenle squirmed in his seat but Jaehyun tried to hide his astonishment. To be able to stand up to abusive parents…and leave. How brave does one have to be? How bad does the abuse have to be in order to make teenagers flee their home? Jaehyun shuddered.
“The Shenanigans are the modern Robin Hoods for the young generation that has lost hope and are scared to stand up for themselves. They embody freedom and independence. Defiance. Us, the gangs and mafias…we are tied down by our businesses, by deals and bets.”
Jaehyun placed his elbow on the windowsill as he listened to the young spy. He felt like he was beating around the bush.
“What is it that they do?” Jaehyun asked and Jeno’s eyes cut to him as he gave him an eerie grin.
“They do many things. Firstly, they defy the gangs. They refuse to swear loyalty to any of them other than themselves. Secondly, they steal. They steal from the higher ups. Lastly, they gather information about everyone and everything. Nothing misses their eyes and when I say all the gangs have been trouble figuring out how they do it, I don’t exaggerate. It is impossible to get a hold of them.”
There was pride in Jeno’s voice and maybe a little longing. Jaehyun wasn’t exactly sure. Chenle looked at him with bright eyes.
“Aren’t they terrific? Donghyuck and Jaemin and the others think so too.”
The eldest frowned.
“Why do they steal? And what do they do with the money?”
The spy shrugged and laughed quietly.
“I have absolutely no idea,” he mused, “it is their business. We haven’t tried figuring it out.”
The rest of the car ride was spent in silence, neither of them talking. Jaehyun caught Chenle smiling softly as he stared out through the windows and it didn’t take him a lot of work to figure out why. The last thing we need is a national scandal that the youngest prince has joined a bunch of thieves, he thought bitterly.
He had to admit, the Shenanigans did sound appealing to a certain extent. To be free of all duties, to swear loyalty for no one but your family and friends…to be independent from it all. Curiosity burned in the pit of his stomach. He wanted to know more. He wanted to see it all. See how mafias operated, the deals, the missions – even the assassinations, as morbid as it sounded.
His thoughts screeched to a halt and changed directions. Assassins… he thought of her, with teeth made of razors and eyes like simmering embers. Was she abused as well? Did she have to run away? Or was she born into it all? He thought of the times he watched her train – the way she moved. The sharpness and the precision – the same serpentine grace he saw and still sees in the other members of the Diamond Snake. But it was training – he longed to see it all in action. He longed to see her lunge and twist and stab and – why the fuck was he thinking about all this? Since when did he want to see someone end lives?
But a voice whispered to him; she is not all edge and defiance.
He thought of the look on her face when she saw the Black Spade conman with Chenle in the middle of the dancefloor that night…remembered his own rage and how he was glued to the floor, unable to move, to think. How he lost control and went with the flow. Got lost in it. And how she did not. He remembered the way her eyebrows spiked up in that pure, horrified expression. And the way it cleared out in the span of a single second, morphing into a look of murderous calm and arrogance. How she did not let go of his youngest brother’s hand until they were out of sight.
As he stared at splotches of green, orange and yellow passing by, he realised he knew nothing.
That there was more underneath it all. Hearing her story about the conman and the intertwined history of the two biggest rivalling gangs of the country showed them all, him and his brothers, that there was so much more to these criminals.
That there is a reason for why things happen. How people turn out to be.
And how wrong they were for judging them.
But then again, what if they chose this path…?
He groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose. Jeno looked back with a surprised look.
“Something wrong?”
Jaehyun shook his head and sighed.
“Just…there’s a lot on my mind,” a blatant understatement. The spy tilted his head as he continued to look at him with calmly. Calculating. Wondering. Jaehyun avoided his gaze. Tried not to cringe when Jeno smirked.
“We are almost there,” was all he said before turning back.
“Where are we meeting them?” Chenle piped up and leaned forward.
“Outside the capital. That is all you need to know,” he looked back at the eldest from the corner of his eyes, “you can trust us. There is no conspiracy. If that’s why your head is so heavy, Your Highness.”
Jaehyun didn’t know whether to feel insulted or amused.
The warehouse by which they stopped, was gigantic, and isolated. Both irked Prince Jaehyun. It was ran-down, rusty and almost fell apart and he saw nothing or no one that would have indicated that the Shenanigans were there, waiting for them.
As he stepped out of the car, a breeze of the early autumn air ruffled his hair. He took a deep breath. It has been a long while since he visited the outskirts of the capital – or the countryside, and he needed to take a moment to take in the solemnity and quietness of it all.
“Oi, Chenle, I got fucking chills!”
As soon as Donghyuck’s voice got to him, Jaehyun’s eyes snapped open. In the span of seconds, ten forms of irritation ran through his brain as he swirled in his brother’s direction. Then froze as he saw the way Donghyuck bounced in his youngest brother’s and Jeno’s direction – and threw his arms around both of them. Jaemin joined him from Jeno’s side. In the friendliest of manners. Without hesitation. Jaehyun could only gape as he looked around for someone who could be as outraged as him but…
Mark got out of the third car along with Renjun and both of them were listening intently to something Jisung was murmuring to them. Nothing on their faces other than concentration and fascination as clear as the pond nearby.
His eyes found Yukhei’s, and found the arsonist already looking at him. Yukhei gave him a challenging grin.
Look what happens when status and prejudice doesn’t get in the way.
Jaehyun felt his ears warm up and he cleared his throat.
Their steps were quick as they neared the doorless entrance of the warehouse, the younger ones leaving Jaehyun and Yukhei behind. The Snake had long, lazy steps, as if he was never in a hurry, had all the time in the world. Jaehyun, on the other hand, was tense as always when it came to a sudden meeting with a bunch of criminals. He had just started getting used to the Diamond Snake. He had to get his mind off this.
“It’s curious,” he turned to Yukhei, “how you and my brother Mark are almost the same age, yet he doesn’t count as an elder like you do.”
Yukhei shrugged and his eyes widened with a mischievous glint.
“I guess it counts a little different. Your brother is seen mostly around the young ones and they seem to give off a really harmonised vibe, if Your Highness gets what I mean. Meanwhile I am a part of the inner circle, the oldest and most trusted part of the Diamond Snake gang. I guess that puts a little more to my age.”
Yukhei glanced at the prince who watched him carefully.
“Y’know, there is more to age than just numbers. Our family prefers not to distinguish based on age. That barely gives you valuable assets. Look at our Jisung. He’s a teenager, like Jeno, they would still be in high school… but they’ve been through things, Prince. Terrible things. And that makes them cautious, makes them listen and work hard so they do not have to endure those things again.”
Jaehyun swallowed and had the same chill run down his spine when he heard the story of the Shenanigans. He dared not to ask what the two youngest members of the inner circle went through. He stayed silent and gave an understanding nod to Yukhei.
The arsonist gave him an encouraging grin and lifted his arm, as if he wanted to slap Jaehyun in the back but he decided otherwise and dropped it. A pang of disappointment hit the prince.
As they stepped through the eerie opening of the warehouse, many things came into Jaehyun’s mind. The first being that the warehouse was actually not empty and abandoned; it was filled with iron containers of many sizes, having gods know what inside them. The second was the stuffy smell, nearing on mouldy, and suddenly he did not want to know what was inside those containers.
The third was that other than the two people sitting by a table in the middle of the main paved way through the containers, there was no one else.
As Jaehyun looked closer, there were a bunch of chairs in front of the single table, Jeno and Jisung leading his brothers straight for them. He opened his mouth to object but Yukhei placed a hand on his shoulder.
They stopped a few feet away from the chairs, giving Jaehyun time and space to take in the two figures waiting for them.
The one who was sitting on a wooden chair was clad in a leather jacket, jeans and black combat boots. His hair was a tousled, curly mess of dark blond and his mouth was quirked in a pleasant, almost welcoming smile. His head was tilted, watching them carefully.
Jaehyun fought his eyebrow so it doesn’t shoot up in the skies.
The other person, the one who perched on the edge of the table, gave off a more mysterious and serious aura – this one reminded Jaehyun of the Snakes. The man – boy? – was not smiling like his partner, he had his eyes set dead on the princes entering. His arms were crossed tightly, but his legs were hanging loosely on the edge of the weathered table. He was clad in black, similarly to the other person, even his hair, which was so dark it was almost blue. His fingers were adorned with rings, all silver, all capable of leaving a nasty mark if he was to punch someone. He was not smiling. There was nothing on his face other than…boredom? He seemed bored out of his mind, even as his eyes zig zagged between the younger princes.
Only two? I thought there were more people in the Shenanigans’ group. Did they just send representatives?
Yukhei must have noticed Jaehyun’s confused glare because after nudging him, he nodded his head around them, towards the top of the containers. Following his nod, Jaehyun looked and his heart almost stopped.
From the shadows and darkness, without a sound, figures emerged.
They were everywhere, scattered around the warehouse, on tops of the containers, between them, hiding out in the shadows. They stood still. They only watched. But it gave Jaehyun the impression that if he was to do anything reckless, they would not hesitate to lunge down, up onto him. He placed his hands deep into his pockets so he wouldn’t loosen his shirt that suddenly felt a bit too tight.
Then the blond one spoke up, with a voice surprisingly soft and pleasant.
“Jeno,” he said, “it has been a while. You got us all worried with your absence.”
The spy smiled and his eyes scrunched up into their usual moon slits. He lifted his hand slightly to stop the younger princes a step away from the chair laid out. Yukhei and Jaehyun did not go nearer, and there was a container’s length left between them and the others.
“You out of everyone should know, that it is way too difficult to get a hold of you, Chan.”
Chan laughed, his plump lips widening.
“I would have thought that the infamous Diamond Snake spies would at least try. We might have let you, right Minho?” he glanced up at his partner. The boy, Minho, only gave Chan a quick glance before continuing to observe them, but his arms loosened a bit.
“How rude of me,” Chan continued as he finally stood up, and waved at the chairs, “please, guests, sit down.”
Then, for the first time, Jaehyun thought, he looked over at the eldest prince and Yukhei. After giving a quick nod and a flash of a smile to Yukhei, Chan’s eyes settled on Jaehyun.
“I’m afraid we have no more chairs. I hope that is not taken as personal insult to the throne,” his eyes did not leave Jaehyun’s and his voice suddenly took on a mocking, challenging tone. Jaehyun did not break his look away from his.
“By all means,” he said coolly, “pretend I am not here. I have no role in this meeting other than being an elder brother.”
Chan held his gaze for a second and then his smile went back to warm.
“Perfect. Now, let me introduce myself and my boys,” he sat back down and casually waved his hand around, “My name is Chan and I am the leader of the Shenanigans. I welcome you princes, Snakes.”
His eyes ran through the boys perching on the chairs. Jaehyun could swear Chenle and Donghyuck shook slightly from excitement.
“This here is Minho, my Second and my advisor,” he continued, “and soon, if the situation demands, I’ll call the others forward. But that’s it for now.”
Jeno grinned and Jisung smirked at Chan, who leaned forward, placing his elbows on his knees.
“Now tell me,” he breathed, “the reason why you called us together.”

For the prompt thingy, Reluctant Caretaker With Janus and Infant!Patton? (Aka sunshine pure baby and unqualified papa)
Tumblr media
Characters: Janus, Patton, Virgil, mentions of Logan, Remus, and Roman
Warnings: Coma, drunk driving, bruises, stitches
“Unnnnnnnnn’caaaaaaaaa, ‘Anu!”
Janus groaned, cracking his eyes open and rubbing at his eyes sleepily. He glanced at his alarm clock and after blinking a few times, he groaned again when he saw just how early it was. “Fucking- ugh,” he muttered, rubbing his hand down his face. He sighed and got up, slowly walking out of the room.
“Unnnnnnnnn’caaaaaaaaa, ‘Anu!”
“I’m coming, I’m coming,” Janus muttered, yawning so hard that his jaw clicked. He walked into the room that had been nothing but a guest room a few days ago - when things had still been normal and Janus didn’t have to worry about raising a baby - and to the old crib that he had gotten three splinters setting up.
His nephew was standing up in the crib and looking up at Janus with wide eyes and a bright grin. He bounced up and down and made grabby hands at Janus. “Un’ca ‘Anu’, up! Up!”
Janus yawned and picked Patton up, bracing him against his hip. “Yes, Uncle Janus is up now. Though, the fact that either of us is up at four fifteen is a crime,” he told the one-year-old seriously.
And in return for the great wisdom that he had given his nephew, Patton reached up and grabbed Janus’ nose. Well... Janus supposed that he had gotten worse feedback from people who he had given advice to.
“Alright now, no playing games now,” Janus hummed sleepily, gently moving Patton’s hand away and walking out of the used-to-be-a-guest-room. He glanced out the window and sighed. The stupid sun could already be seen peeking up over the horizon. “Are you hungry? Is that why you woke me up?”
“’anna ‘ee Daddy,”
Janus froze right at the top of the stairs, feeling like he had just been slapped. He had been so good pushing back and ignoring the heart-crushing grief, confusion, and helplessness that the last few days had brought. And with three words, his one-year-old nephew had almost completely toppled all the walls that Janus had put up to try and cope. Janus took a shaky breath, eyes burning with unshed tears. “I’m afraid that you can’t see your Daddy right now,” he said softly, walking down the stairs. “You’re living with me for now, Patton. I... will explain in the morning, okay?”
Patton gave him a look with so much of Virgil’s stubbornness that Janus almost let out a sob. Virgil had barely had Patton for a year and his son was already so much like him.
“For now, let’s think of better things,” Janus said with forced chipper in his voice. He walked into the kitchen grabbed a small box of cheerios from his cupboard. “Even though it’s far too early to be up and awake, five o’clock is also the time when the old cartoons come on. I used to watch these shows with your daddy when I was just a toddler and he was your age.” He managed a weak smile as he walked into the living room. “Doesn’t that sound fun?”
“Yes,” Patton chirped, grinning at Janus widely that wrinkled the stark white bandaid that he had gotten at the hospital. “Yes!”
Janus chuckled, sitting down in his favourite old armchair, shifting Patton so he was in one arm so he could open up the box of cheerios. “Did you watch these shows with your daddy? Or did Mr. Lawyer show his son more serious shows? Educational programs?” He got a blank stare in response and decided that it was far too early in the morning to use big words with his nephew. So instead he just switched the channel until he found old reruns of ‘The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show”.
Besides, Patton’s excited cry of, “T’eety!” made Janus think that maybe this wasn’t the first time he had watched these shows.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Janus’ shoes clicked against the hospital tiles, the only sound in the eerily quiet hallway. He could hear distant coughs and the quiet sound of people talking but here, in the long term care section of the hospital at eight o’clock in the morning, there wasn’t much noise. And it made Janus so sad. His poor baby brother didn’t belong in a place like this.
He stopped outside the last door in the hallway, knocking gently at the half-open door. “Good morning,” he said softly, walking in and draping his coat over one of the chairs. He sat down with a sigh. “I’m sorry that I’m here so early but your son woke me up at four AM. I left him with my friends so I can come to see you. Please don’t worry about your son, Virgil. Logan and Remus are good people and they already love Patton." He took off his bowler hat and put it in his lap, tapping his finger against it gently. “Do you have anything to say about that?”
Of course Virgil didn’t. Though, Janus supposed that he couldn’t be too upset with his brother. It was rather hard to speak with tubes down your throat. And the fact that Virgil was in a coma made it even harder, Janus was sure.
Virgil was lying completely still on his hospital bed, looking strangely peaceful. He didn’t seem bothered at the dark purple bruises on his cheeks or the stitched-up cut on his forehead. And then Janus remembered how he had looked a few days ago when he had first been brought to the hospital and had to look away.
“Your friend Roman came to my house the other day,” Janus said, forcing himself to continue. He had to speak talking. He feared what would come out of his mouth if he didn’t. “I must say, Roman may not be as interesting as his brother but he is a good lawyer. He’s pushing me to press charges and he is assuring me that I would have a very good case.” He snorted and shook his head. “Though, I suppose that you don’t have to be a good lawyer to know that driving while is against the law.”
When there was no response to his words, Janus sighed and reached forward, gently putting a hand over Virgil’s bruised one. “Do you remember how happy I was when you made me Patton’s Godfather,” he whispered softly and with a slight tremble to his words. “Well, I change my mind. Virgil... I have no idea how to care for a baby. You have to wake up so you can raise your son. Please.” He laughed and blinked, vision turning a little blurry. “I am begging, Virgil. You have to wake up. I can’t do this. I don’t know how to do this.”
The only response Janus received was the steady beeping of Virgil’s heart monitor. It looked like Janus was on his own for now.
Janus didn’t really care for mortals much. They were too loud, too selfish, too unkind. He’d lived long enough to see humans build worlds and burn them down hundreds of times. Their blood lust had made Janus squirm. He was disgusted by their carelessness for others' lives.
Yes, Janus was aware that fae were commonly known for hurting humans and stealing their souls- but if you asked him, the stereotypes are ridiculous. The only reason the fae were known for that was because that is all people want to share. Honestly, the fae couldn’t care less about humans. Of course there were chaos fae- they tended to be more violent than most faeries- but were far less common.
Needless to say, Janus wasn’t surprised when V was hesitant after he had said yes to joining them. The others had left with courteous goodbyes to go do their daily chores. He could feel his fear, feel his bones grow hollow and shake softly under his thin clothes; though, Janus thought it may have just been the cold. Hm. They’d have to fix that.
“Are you cold little one?” Janus asked, a small teasing undertone to his voice. V glanced up at him for a moment, quickly nodding before looking away nervously.
“It’s fine, I can cope,” V mumbled, scratching at the side of his wrist. Janus rolled his eyes and shrugged off his coat, gracefully draping it over V. Janus honestly expected V to give it back to him but was pleasantly surprised when he just froze before pulling it closer.
Lucky for them, it was only about noon when V finally agreed to let Janus walk him around. The forest was slightly darker than when V had first arrived- probably because Janus had noticed he was squinting to see through all the light. The wind had picked up, wafting the sweet smell of dew and ivy through the air.
V winced every few steps, the flinch almost unnoticeable. But of course, Janus was keen as ever. He sent V a glance, Worry hidden behind his prying features.
“... What?” V asked with a slight hitch to his words. Janus blinked at him for a moment before looking him up and down.
“You’re hurt.”
“Yes? I thought you- you saw me fall earlier, right?” V asked, genuine confusion in his words. Janus nodded briefly, his chest swelling up when V flushed and tightened his grip on his coat.
“You don’t need to be embarrassed little one, I’m simply… worried.”
“You don’t seem to be one to worry.” Janus smiled. What a smart boy.
“I’m not. But when what is mine is in… distress, I worry,” He pushed a strand of his long hair back, looking more fully at V and smirking when he found him staring up at him in barely concealed wonder, “Does that make sense, darling?” V quickly nodded and looked forward, trying and failing at hiding his blush.
Leaves crunched satisfyingly under V’s feet every few steps, birdsong ringing out around them. Janus scrunched his face and rolled his eyes. As much as Janus liked the flowers and plants that the spring brought, he did have to say that he didn’t quite enjoy listening to the birds chirp and trill all day. Sure, it was calming some days, but working on the gateway all day meant that birdsong was constant.
V seemed to feel the same way- though he could have just been nervous. His face was twisted uncomfortably, wincing when a particularly loud shriek harassed their ears. J smiled a bit before quickly going to bury it behind his usual stoic stare.
“I see you too dislike the birds?” V looked up, a sheen of fear glazing over his eyes.
“Mhm…” J hummed and redirected his eyes forward, his arm pushing away a stray branch.
“It does grow quite annoying,” he paused and thought for a moment, “Would you like a tour? If we travel quick enough I’m sure the twins can find time to assist you in creating your… room- is that what humans call it?”
“My room?” V asked, his face scrunched up. J scoffed.
“Well of course we’re giving you a room, what are we to do? Have you sleep on the forest floor?”
“.. Yes? I mean- I haven’t done anything to really… earn it. It’s not like I can’t sleep on the ground. You don’t have to go out of your way to make somewhere- it’s not like I’m that imp-” V looked up and bit his tongue with a soft yelp.
Janus looked pissed. Okay yes, he was pissed- why wouldn’t he be? Humans were meant to take; so why was this one so difficult to give things to?
“It’s not a privilege to have your space little one,” Janus hissed out, hands shaking slightly. He closed his eyes and clenched and unclenched his hands, taking a deep breath. Anger seeped out of his expression as he opened his eyes, though a burning pit in his stomach remained.
“We can talk about this on a later date when you're more rested just- just take things when they’re given to you. We aren’t just going to not provide you a necessity. We don’t want to scare you away, little one.” Janus explained, glancing down at V. He opened and closed his mouth a few times before just setting on staring straight forward.
A few minutes later, Janus gently grasped a part of his cloak and tugged V to the left. V stopped walking and looked, confused. Janus glanced through the bushes and let go, softly gesturing for him to follow as he walked through. V hesitated before stepping quickly after him. He braced himself for the branches of the bush to scratch but was pleasantly surprised when he only felt the soft brush of haired leaves.
When he finally emerged on the other side, Janus was there, patiently waiting. V relished in the warm feeling of this new part of the forest, slowly taking off the coat and cautiously handing it to Janus. He smiled and took the coat back, easily putting it on and muttering a small ‘thank you’.
“This, V, is the beginning gateway. This is where you get through the first layer of our realm into the housing demi-realm.” Janus gestured to a seemingly empty space.
The only thing that would suggest it wasn't just another patch of forest was the slight oddity of the air around it as it pulsed with raw energy. The air around it rippled like disturbed water through its mimicking shroud, making the image appear distorted.
“Why is it-?”
“... Obscured?”
“Yeah.”
“Well,” Janus began, “In my eyes- or just fae eyes in general- the gateway has a colored hue. It only appears clear because it was created to trick humans into simply passing by or phasing through it. It only truly becomes a gateway when the fae want it to be.”
Ah. That didn't seem to help much. V’s face contorted slightly before he reached out and felt the ripples, flinching back at the strange texture of the air. He rubbed his fingers together as if it was still attached to his hand.
“Why can't I see the color?” V asked, still looking at his hand.
“Would you like to?” Janus asked, making V’s head snap up. Janus almost laughed at the shocked confusion.
“You- You can make me see it?”
“The gateway isn't just a hue darling, it's a door. It has a visible archway, it's just well hidden. I can show you the gateway but not for long. I wouldn't want to overwhelm you; fae eyesight is more complex than human eyesight.”
“... yes please.” Janus smiled and walked behind V, lifting his arms.
“I'm going to cover your eyes and when I do, close them and do not open them until I instruct you to. Understand?”
“Yes.” V took a deep breath as his eyes were covered, closing his eyes and listening to Janus’ shifting. He felt the soft texture of his coat on his face, his expressions screwing up slightly before he forced himself to relax.
“Okay little one,” V shivered- J was right next to his ear, “You can open your eyes now. Be cautious, close them if it gets too much.” Slowly, V opened his eyes, wonder quickly taking over as he surveyed the scene in front of him.
The portal was a color- a hue that he had never seen before; a color he couldn’t even begin to describe. It was red but green, blue but yellow. It seemed to be every color in one- but not quite a spectrum; the fact that most of it was just in one big block made it somewhat harder to differentiate. The ripples seemed to just shine with some root that he also couldn’t quite grasp the words for. Everything was just so… different. He wished he could look at it longer, but fuck it was so bright- even with J’s cloak in front of him. He began to squint, trying to take in more and commit it to memory.
V almost whined when Janus covered his eyes again, instead- to save whatever dignity he had left- he settled with hidden pouting. He closed his eyes against his hands and sighed.
“That’s enough little one, we don’t need you hurt.” Janus whispered, a smile clear in his voice as he removed his hands, “You can open your eyes now, slowly. You need to reacclimate.”
V opened his eyes, looking where the beautiful portal-light-thingy once was and frowning. He almost mourned it before shaking his head and rubbing his eyes. Get yourself together man.
“Okay little one, I think it’s time to step through,” Janus offered him a hand, “Come.”
Timeskip
“This is the lake. The twins constructed part of this, L assisted me in growing the vegetation,” Janus smiled fondly as he looked into the slightly luminescent water, “Swimming and casting growth magic is unsurprisingly quite exhausting.” V nodded along slowly. It had been about an hour into their tour and his exhaustion was growing more and more apparent.
“Just one more place, then the twins can help you make your room. If they leave out anything you may want or need, go to L, he manages them better than I ever could.” V almost smiled at that.
Janus tugged on V’s shirt and frowned at how he stumbled. Right, tour, then room, then check up on him, then food. Humans need food, right? Three times a day was it? Fuck L was so much better at this than he was. A fucking genius he is.
Against a gentle and worn gravel path, Janus could feel the smoothed pebbles against his feet. L must have influenced the breeze because it usually ran cold- exactly why Janus preferred to wear his coat at all times. The brush was lower than he wished it would be. He’d have to fix that too. Gods the upkeep of this forest was atrocious.
“Here it is little one, you can take a break,” Janus said as the two reached a clearing. V looked around, confused before stepping ahead of Janus.
“Why is it… empty?” He asked. Janus cursed softly under his breath and waved his hand, ten door frames fading into reality. He would have laughed at V’s expression if he didn’t find it so adorable.
“What- Why are there just- hold on,” V took a few steps deeper, glancing into one of the door frames before gawking and going to the other side.
“How?”
“How, what?” Janus asked, a small smirk crawling up his face.
“How are the doors like this? How does that even work?” V said, finally turning fully towards J.
“Well, simply, magic. More complex, the doors are portals on one end, the other is designed to keep the twins from barreling into someone’s ‘room’ on accident-” again, “- Essentially the gateways open to a pocket dimension where we can create and destroy things at will. These pocket dimensions serve as rooms when we wish them to,
“I think you’d find it quite enjoyable to find what the others prefer their rooms to look like- though I do think they’d be somewhat influenced to change to be more… accessible.” Janus explained, gently tracing a door frame, “I can make these pocket dimensions. The others cannot. They can only simply manipulate them.”
“... Because you’re more powerful?” Janus smiled.
“Yes, very good.”
V tilted his head and bent down, picking up a rock and backing up before throwing it through a door frame. The rock landed on the other side where Janus picked it up and tossed it over the portal.
“Does any of this make sense?” Janus looked away and walked a few feet from the last portal, summoning a portal effortlessly. Well, not effortlessly. He could feel energy seep from his body slowly but paid no mind to it. When he was met with silence, a smile grew on his face.
“Words please darling, I can’t see you when I’m working.” He teased, not needing to glance back to see V’s face flush.
“Some of it, kind of. I don’t-” He stopped himself and sighed, “I’ll figure it out.” Janus nodded and traced the door from corner to corner, the frame tingling to the touch.
“If you ever have questions, ask for me. I’ll come as quickly as I can.” Janus finally looked back fast enough to see V nod.
Quick rustling through the bushes by them caught both of their attention. Janus rolled his eyes and walked to the shrubbery, an unamused look on his face.
“You know, you two are absolutely awful at surprising people.”
“Aw man, I thought we had it this time!”
“You were distracted! It was almost perfect before this absolute buffoon decided to push me!”
“Buffoon? Who are you calling a buffoon? I’ll konk you upside the head so hard your brain will-”
“Alright, that’s enough,” Janus hushed, pulling the twins out of the bushes, “You two must help V create his pocket dimension. If I hear even the smallest complaint about you two acting a fool I will rip you limb from limb, understood?”
Janus could have cackled at the fear in the twins' eyes as they nodded. He turned around and walked up to V, gently ruffling his hair before walking away.
“I’ll be doing a few chores, I’ll be back soon to check up on you three.” To check up on V more like.
Timeskip
When Janus finally got back the sun had already gone down, the soft glow of the general forest lighting the paths for him as he walked through the clearing to V’s gateway. He knocked at the door frame and tapped his foot against the floor. He almost expected the Duke to poke his head out of the portal until he saw V walk through on his own.
“Good evening little one, are the twins still with you?” Janus asked, quickly looking V up and down. V shook his head and toed at the ground.
Janus almost frowned seeing he was still in his clothes from earlier- though he supposed the Prince might be busy tailoring clothing- despite being able to just summon it at will. V looked around quickly before meeting his eyes.
“May I come in?” He asked, allowing himself to relax. V slowly nodded and stepped back into his room, Janus quickly following.
The change of scenery was… pleasant. The room wasn’t much, simply just a wooden cabin with a few off-hand doors- most likely leading to a washroom, wardrobe, and maybe a cupboard or something of the like. It was very tidy, nothing on the walls and nothing on the floor. A bed sat against the wall on the opposite side of the room, the sheets a plain beige along with the blanket. Janus was genuinely surprised that the room wasn’t more grand. After all, he had left V with two of the most eccentric fae he knew- not that he knew many other fae in the first place.
“It’s very nice. Are you sure this is everything you want at the moment? We can always make more now or later.,” He offered, still looking around.
“No, it’s fine.” Oh. Oh, poor boy. He sounded so tired.
“Come here please.” Janus requested, extending a hand to V and gently clasping it as he laid his own in his palm, “You were hurt earlier, allow me to help-”
V ripped his hand away and stumbled back. Janus was taken aback as he blinked- slightly dazed. What? V took a few steps back before walking to his bed and sitting down.
“Can I- I want to sleep.” He muttered, exhaustion seeping through his bones. Janus frowned before nodding slowly.
“I’ll close the gateway for outsiders on my way out. Sleep well, darling.” He walked out, attempting to ignore the tugging feeling in his stomach telling him to go back.
He couldn’t go back because V didn’t want him to go back. And that was fine. It was fine. He chose to think of it as a blessing. He had more time to reprimand the twins.
Timeskip
“We didn’t do anything!”
“I swear! I didn’t even say anything! He just seemed to deflate when you left.” Janus sighed into his hand and closed his eyes.
“Well something happened when I left and none of you called for me- and then you left him?” Janus hissed out.
“He told us to!” Janus raised an eyebrow- lie, “Okay he didn't tell us to- but he implied it!”
“He implied it? He’s a mortal, Prince, he can’t just be left alone in a pocket dimension.” The twins looked embarrassed, bringing their eyes down. Janus was almost proud of himself for successfully scolding them before the Duke’s head popped up.
“Wait- didn’t you just leave him alone?” He asked, a smug look crossing his face. Janus gaped at the pure audacity that he had before collecting himself.
“Well you see, Duke, he had asked me to leave- to my information, he’s sleeping and-” Janus was cut off when L walked into the hideaway.
“That’s highly unlikely. Why would he have any reason to trust us enough to sleep here?” L said, closing his notebook gently and pushing it into his coat.
Okay, now that Janus thought about it, yeah. There was no way that V was asleep at the moment. His bond hadn’t calmed down past when he had last he’d seen him either. Janus pursed his lips and turned his head sharply to look at L.
“Where’s Pat?”
“He’s busy cooking supper at the moment. I advised him that a soup would be the way to go with us not knowing what the human enjoys and is possibly allergic to. Simply a broth and a few chopped vegetables.” L said simply. Janus nodded and took a few steps away from the twins.
“Is there any particular reason you came here instead of helping Pat cook?”
“Actually,” L’s lips twisted up, “I’m here to fetch you to eat. J, would you like to call V or shall I get him myself?” L hid a knowing smile when Janus sent a quick glare to him.
“I can get him myself, we’ll meet you in the dining room eventually.” He spoke coldly, the twins chuckling before he sent them another glare.
“Be fast, we wouldn’t want the food to get cold by the time you finally arrive.” Janus nodded and flipped his coat, walking to the altered brush.
“He’s so possessive.”
“It’s adorable honestly- who could have thought?”
He rolled his eyes and stepped a little faster. So what if he cared for V? He wasn’t possessive. Just… protective.
Fuck.
Baby's lollipops
Chapter 1
Steve Rogers x plus size reader
Warnings: smutty
AN: Sorry for the delay my phone screen broke and i have to use my old phone for a while. Hope you enjoy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hey you. What are you doing here?" I asked stocking the last of the double sided lollipops. Very popular here.
"I just came to see how my friend and her new boyfriend are getting along." I laughed at Ophelia and tossed her a box of edible underwear for her to stock. She sometimes comes and helps me to get a little more cash in her pocket.
It had been a couple of months since Steve and I had our ice cream date and I've never been so happy. The only thing that has been giving me problems is the tension between us when we have our heavy makeout sessions. Soon as Steve slips his hand down my back I panic and push him off.
"So what's the problem? Scared that he splits you in half." I gasped and threw her a toy making her squirm away.
"No! That's not the problem!" She wiggled her eyebrows.
"So you like them-"
"Ophelia I swear to god that I'm going to kick you ass" she laughed, I've only done it once and I was drunk as hell. I also remembered everything that happened, he was nice and all, but let's say that he didn't last long. How disappointing that night was.
"So what's the dealio?" She began playing with one of the toys like if it was a lightsaber.
"Stop it. And soon as his hand touches my lower back I freak out." I take the toy away and continued stocking but this time more annoyed.
"Y/n he likes you! Like a lot. Plus poor man, you are giving him blue balls." I guess he does like me a lot. No guy has brought me flowers for a whole week or waited until I got out of work so he could take me to dinner or home.
"Y/n. You got a costumer." The bell kept on ringing making me rush to the counter and attending the couple.
"Enjoy" i said and noticed the familiar head of hair facing away from me. He was looking at some Male underwear that had an elephant face on them.
"Need any help, sir?" He jumped and smiled making my heart skip.
"No, no thank you ma'am." I walked over to his open arms and he engulfed me in warmness.
With tip toes I managed to get a kiss earning another smile from him.
"Whatcha looking at?"
"I was just wondering how men get into these." his confused face looked so adorable and it made me chuckle at his confusion.
"Um, you put the underwear on but the man thingy goes into the trunk of the elephant"
His surprised face made me laugh.
"What's so funny?" Ophelia came out to investigate my laughter.
"Nothin just looking" steve said letting me go. We went back to stocking and attending a couple of customers until it was lunch time.
"Where should we go?" Ophelia asked placing the last box of flavored warming lube on the shelf. The store looked nice and stocked ready for the next employee to fuck up as she just brings in friends to stir a mess up.
"Subway?" I shook my head as we had that the other day.
"How bout that place where Tony likes to go?"
"Shawarma?" Steve said putting on his coat and helping me with mine.
"Yeah, we haven't been there for a while."
"Okay let's go!"
We arrived at the restaurant and enjoyed our food but it only lasted for a while until I had to get back to work.
"Are you going back to the shop?" Ophelia nodded but Steve was interrupted by his phone.
"Not me. I have to head back, Captain America duties." He leaned in and kissed me goodbye and ran off.
"Don't forget dinner at my place!" I yelled.
"How could I forget?!"
"Ooooh you guys gonna get it on?"
"Alright, you better run before I officially kick that fat ass!" I ran after her like when we where little. But now that she had brought that up, she is right, he's waited for a while now. Maybe now it's a good time, with a little liquor or wine maybe it would make it easier. I really want him but I'm just self conscious about, me.
"Earth to y/n" Ophelia waves her hand in front of my face. Panicked I look at the clock and noticed that I had another hour before I have to close.
"What's a matter?" I touch my face and sigh deeply. Obviously nervous about what is going to happen!
"Just tired" that's not a lie I've been working full shifts, the boss is in vacation so she trusts me more than the others.
Thank God that I have a day off tomorrow!
"How about, you.." she points at me "go ahead and I'll close. Its only another hour, I know how to use the cash regester and I'll just give you your key tomorrow, how does that sound?" Without hesitation I hug her and get ready to leave.
"You sure?" I have to make sure. She second guess herself often.
"Three...two.." she began counting making me rush out of the shop.
Going to the nearest store I buy a couple of wine coolers and a pizza on the way home.
I took a bath and got clean for him. Today is the day! Today is the day........and he's late. Its 8:37 and our dinner was at 7:00.
I grabbed my phone and texted him
You forgot
I reheated the cold pizza and drank two of the wine coolers. This is the second time he's late and I understand that he is an avenger but a text would be nice. Ah maybe I'm just being dramatic about it.
I went to sleep leaving my window cracked as he liked seeking in.
"I'm late" looking up at her apartment I noticed the lights out. She's probably asleep now, dammit as soon as I saw the text I bolted out of there. Homework with Tony and Bruce always makes me forget the things that I have to do.
"Fuck" I mumbled. I was about to walk back to the tower when I saw her window cracked. I jumped onto the tree and climbed up.
"Oh my.." looking into the window I found her sleeping in those lace underwear that she sells at the shop and a t-shirt that I use.
I open the window and slowly slide in.
"Doll?" I kinda hope that she's awake.
A breeze made me smell the perfume that I love.
"Doll?" I slipped out of my suit, still in my boxers and got in bed.
"Doll, I'm sorry I'm late" I whispered taking in her scent and figure.
She hummed and turned around wrapping herself against me.
"You forgot" she mumbled half asleep.
"You look gorgeous" she opened her eyes and smiled.
"You too" she brought her lips to mine making me fall into a frenzy mood. I wanted her. I wanted her badly.
I pulled her over my lap still having my lips on hers.
The feeling of the lace of her underwear and her smooth warm skin made my blood rush into my legs.
"Tell me to stop" I groaned digging my fingers into her thighs.
"No, not tonight. I need you" she panted against my neck.
"You sure?" I made her look at me. Her pupils where dilated, heartbeat loud and the smell of her perfume getting mixed with her natural sent.
"Y-yes"
I layed her on her back while I got in between her thick legs. Gently running my index finger across the lace making her shiver.
"Let's take this off" her arms rose as I bunch up the shirt and threw it next to my uniform. Her arms covered herself.
"Come here" I mumbled bringing her closer. I spread her arms and tangled my fingers with hers leaning in to kiss the top of her breast. She looked beautiful. I kept on kissing and showing her my love.
Testing my limits i slowly slid my hand into her panties. Her eyes closed and she swallows thickly. She was wet and warm making me grow harder by the second.
------
I felt him aganst my thigh, he's bigger than i thought.
"Can i?" He asked tugging my panties. Oh god the lust in his eyes made nod. I felt myself clenching at nothing and it made me want him more.
As he pulled them off i clashed my lips with his and i pulled his boxers down with my legs. I felt him begining to rub himself against my core.
"I need you...i need you now" my panting speed up.
"But, i don't want to hurt you" he pulled away making me whine.
"You won't." With the strengh i never knew i had i pushed him off and sat on his thighs, grabbing him and began stroking him. A sweet low moan rolled off his lips.
Embarrassing, but some of the videos that i had to put on taught me something. I continued using that hand twisting technique making him moan.
"Stop-oh god stop" his knuckles cracked when he gripped the covers.
"Im going to cum if you dont stop" he choked and a smile appeared on my face and i stopped my movements. He took deep breaths while he rubbed my thighs, trying to get me to get closer to his cock. I gladly obliged.
A soft moan sliped out of me when his hottness touched my core again. I slowly moved my hips when he sat up straight. He wraps his arms around me making me speed up. The quiet wet sound made blush fill my cheeks.
"Cum, cum so i can be inside you" his talk made my pleasure skyrocket and i felt the tight coil snap.
"Oh god!" I brought him closer using all my grip to ease my pleasure. Once more i found myself on my back with Steve hovering over me.
"Ready" he said. The lust in his eyes grew ans i realized that what he asked wasn't a question.
He touches my core ans began spreading my wetness around his cock. Looking down i felt his tip moving againt my entrance. I felt his eyes on me and i looked up, after a few seconds i felt pressure and a bit of sting hit me. Once he was all in i found myself enjoying the strech and pressure he gave.
"Move" i whimper. He pulled out and shoved himself in making me cry in pleasure. His speed was speeding up each stroke. His grunts and growls made me want him more. I just kept on ttying to keep my moans and whimpers down just to hear his.
"You feel so good and tight around me" he threw his head back and i kept on raking my nails on his back.
"Don't stop" i cried. His movements speed up more it felt unhuman. A new feeling bubled up in my stomach.
"Steve im going to cum" i told him and he replied that he was close too.
"Just. A. Few. More" he groaned throwing his head back as i felt pleasure take over and i clenched him. Second later i felt his cock twitch and warmth filled me up.
"Better than i thought" he kissed my lips and slowly pulled out looking at his mess with a smirk.
"I'll be back" he went to my bathroom and brought a wet cloth and helped me clean up. He layed next to me bringing me close.
"I'm a bit hungry" he said making me chuckle.
"Lucky for you..." i rolled over to tje desk next fo me and opened one of the boxes from work. "I got to bring home a box of these." I pulled out one of the double sided lolipops.
Taking off the wrapper i gave him the apple flavored side while i got the strawberry side and i layed comfortably next to him again.
"This aren't that bad." I nod and we began talking about anything again. I was too comfortable in his arms to notice his knee rubbing against my core again.
"Wanna go again" he bit his side of the candy and taking mine out placing it on the night stand.
"Hell yeah" he kissed my lips getting on top of me again.
This is going to be a long night. I don't mind it.
