i've been dared . . .

definitely my favorite thing is the fact that in flashback/legacy he was 100% not only supportive of sophie and fitz's relationship despite having a crush on sophie, but also actively tries to keep sophie from doing something that could even be interpreted as implicative. there was a poll a while ago about whether people thought sophie and keefe were (even unintentionally) emotionally cheating on fitz, and i answered a hard no. and the main reason for that was because of keefe. he does so much to try to keep sophitz together during that time, including telling sophie to confide in fitz, telling her to tell him about the matchmaking thing, shutting ro down (or at least doing his best to), and generally speaking, he did not have to do all that. like, yeah, any decent person would be supportive and not actively try to break their two friends in a relationship up, but keefe goes way beyond that and actively tells sophie exactly what to do in order to keep her relationship with fitz intact. every time fitz "catches" him with sophie it's lowkey painful to think about what keefe must be feeling because he spends so much time trying to prevent that exact thing from happening. there's even a line in legacy where sophie admits this herself. one of the only times he uses his empathy not dubiously is at the end of legacy, where sophie "tells" him (i use the term loosely) that she and fitz broke up. and he immediately says "i'm sorry", expressing out loud his sympathy for their relationship's end.

(one thing i've heard people misinterpret a lot in anti keefe things is the "blond hottie" line, which they say is an inappropriate thing to say about someone in a relationship. that was not said by keefe. that was said by ro. she says that when she's trying to convince sophie that bronte can't be her bio dad, to which keefe then says "unless she gets that from her mom". that's all he says. sophie then wonders whether that meant he agreed with the blond hottie assessment, but that doesn't come from anything he actually says.)

it surprises me that i haven't seen keefe lovers talk more about the fact that fitz literally commissioned him to draw him and sophie in a very romantic pose in a very romantic spot and keefe did it. so i'm going to talk about it. once again, this is not just baseline "my crush is in a relationship, oh well, guess i won't interfere" stuff. this is going above and beyond to keep sophie and fitz together. again, keefe has a crush on sophie. i'm not an artist, but obviously art doesn't just pop up out of thin air. he spent some time making that drawing. and all that time is yet another reminder that his crush is in a relationship. he could've told fitz no, made up some excuse as to why he couldn't do it, and that would've been well within his right. but he didn't. so that's a thing worth mentioning. (i'm going to just say i don't like the argument that fitz knew what he was doing when he asked keefe for the drawing, though. i think fitz just thought "sophie likes keefe's drawings! let me get her one of those" which is sweet in and of itself.)

in unlocked, keefe thinks something like "he definitely should not be happy that two people close to him were going through a rough patch. but, if he was being honest, he wasn't really sad" or something to that effect. and i like that. he has a crush on sophie, so of course part of him will be happy she's now single again. it's realistic. i've definitely talked about this before, but jealousy isn't a character flaw to me. it's only the actions that a character does because of their jealousy that defines whether or not it's a bad thing. but the thing with keefe is that he never allows the fact that he likes sophie to outwardly affect sophie and fitz's relationship in any negative way when they're tentatively dating. sophie and fitz fell apart for a lot of reasons, but the reasons were entirely on sophie and fitz, and had nothing to do with keefe himself. in fact, you could argue they only lasted as long as they did because of keefe.

i complained a lot about how much he doesn't shut up about his hair in my rant. but that was mostly at his humor style and the fact that he literally talks about it at the weirdest times (in his registry file . . . ) more so than the fact itself. and truthfully, he doesn't even talk about it that much. but i think it makes a lot of sense that he takes pride in it. it's the physical manifestation of rebellion against his parents who have controlled every other aspect of his life. he's also an artist, and i think it's a pretty neat thing that that extends to the way he styles his hair. also it looks good. i will die on this hill. just don't look at the laura art. jason chan is my king and keefe's hair is very cool and- *gunshot*

there's also a handful of moments where keefe uses his humor appropriately, to ease tension. best example i can think of is the one katie brought up in this post which is the moment in flashback right before the celestial festival (climax). magnate leto gives them all these sparkler things to light if they're in danger, and keefe sets off a couple prematurely "just to make sure they work" *wink wink nudge nudge* and sophie specifically says the "bit of levity" helped tame the "monster" she's been battling the whole book. when he's able to use his humor appropriately, and not at weird times about weird things, he can be a valuable source of comfort. these moments are unfortunately few and far between, but they do exist.

keefe is also good at calming sophie down when she's panicking, when he's not using his empathy to force her to tell him her feelings. i personally like it more when he's comforting her using his words than his emotional breezes, because that speaks more to his personality than it does to his ability to use his emotional breezes to calm her down. another example katie discusses in the post above is when he's talking to her about the bronte-is-her-bio-dad theory. sophie was panicking because she was thinking about the implications of it (prentice, him acting horrible to her, etc.) and keefe brings her back down to earth with his reassurances that this doesn't change anything about her. when she says bronte can't know she knows, he immediately gets her to reconsider in a gentle way, because like. that's the entire point of her search for her bio parents. he does all this using his words (actually i just checked and he does use his emotional breezes a couple of times but his words do have an impact on their own so we're disregarding that), which does prove that he's very good at knowing what to say to keep her calm.

(also the fact that he was even helping her search for her bio parents is another example of him going above and beyond to keep her relationship to fitz intact. he didn't have to do that at all.)

and lastly, i think i mentioned this in my rant and maybe a couple other places, but i think keefe's jealousy when it comes to family is written very realistically. in neverseen, he's jealous of fitz, biana, sophie, and dex when they hug their parents, and there's a line where he specifically says "i hate watching it. them and della" (them referring to fitz and biana). in unlocked, he's again jealous of dex's family and wishes he'd been born into a family like his. and i think that's written really well. it's pretty subtle and not really shoved in your face, too. i'm pretty sure there's a total of three times it gets brought up: the "them and della" line, one line at the end of neverseen where sophie and dex are hugging edaline and kesler, and then the line in unlocked. very blink and you miss it but i like that. it's one of the few things the narrative doesn't dump a truckload of pity on keefe for, and it makes the few times it is brought up even sadder.

Long distance. But a girlfriend nonetheless. You’ve met his girlfriend once and she’s pretty nice. She’s cute. You feel like she’s so much cuter than you. Small, adorable, thin. Nothing you believe you are. Would you ever have a chance with him even if he didn’t have her.

You felt like shit for liking him. You had dreams about him. You’d stare at him for long periods and make scenarios in your head…

You and Han were invited over Minho’s house to hang out. Han was chatting with him as he cooked and you were looking around. You’ve actually never been to Minho’s house.

It was fairly neat and tighty. Nice decor. And You know he has cats. You ended up looking for them.

You followed one to his office and found yourself at his desk. You sat on the chair to hold the cat. After petting it, you looked at the things on his desk. Computer, keyboard, lamp, little figures and a Polaroid.

You stared at it. It was his girlfriend. She was in a cutesy pose and on the bottom of the Polaroid it said “Baby”

Ugh, she’s so cute… you could never compete. She looks nothing like you. You sighed and wiped a tear from your cheek as you started feeling insecure about yourself. You didn’t even realize that Minho came into the room.

“What are you doing?”

You were startled by him and his hand which suddenly hit the desk in front of you, separating you from the Polaroid that you were staring at.

So this is kinda based off a dream I had and something at work…

I have a coworker(whose also a Scorpio) that I have a big crush on. But he has a girlfriend. She lives in another state but comes over every once in a while.

While at work, I was sitting at his desk and I saw the Polaroid of his girlfriend with the word Baby underneath. she’s tiny, cutesy, and pretty. Looks nothing like me and it got me really depressed. Then I had a dream that most of the stuff from this fic happened with him. It was so nice but I felt so guilty afterwards. I feel like a bad person for dreaming of a taken man leaving his girl for me... idk. I just wrote out my dream to get it out of my system 😅

!!! I just remembered this ask was in my inbox, oops …. Sorry anon🙏 it’s been a couple days!! Sometimes i just find myself in a mood to make art so i turn on music and draw whatever comes to mind first. Usually it;s like a dragon or some other creature, and then i go on from there after warming up. but other days it’s tougher than that. i’ll have to sit myself down and put away all distractions and force myself to get over the hurdle of getting started. Then i usually get into a flow. Sometimes i don’t so i give myself a minute before trying again. I really should be doing that right now lol.. i got things i need to do… but this isn’t about that!! Moving on!! i don’t really try to Stick to a style exactly, it kind of just comes out how it comes out. Sometimes i Will see cool art that i do like and note what about it appeals to me, and then try to incorporate that into what i draw the next time i sit down to do it. My style is incrementally & constantly changing in small ways n it happens both naturally as i improve at drawing certain things and unnaturally as i sprinkle in bits of other people’s styles. The main idea is just drawing what you think looks good !

sometimes i do forget things i’ve previously learned, but that just comes from going for a while without using it. Sometimes i go too long drawing simple paw-looking hands and have to take a minute and do a handful of hand studies to refresh. The best way to retain what you’ve learned is to use it regularly. It’s like a muscle 😊🙏 do some studies, then have fun making some drawings of characters you like or locations while applying it. i enjoy drawing anatomy on its own so i often just have pages of muscle sketches and weird poses. The way you learn is also important. if you’re following along & copying something without analyzing why it looks that way in that pose, or at that angle, it may make it harder in the long run to retain anything useful. Make cheat sheets for yourself. Leave little notes next to drawings with tips or explanations that may help you later. doing that helped a lot when i was first learning^^

also give yourself ample time to warm up. Sometimes you just need to go through a few rough sketches before it starts to come back to you. I used to get really frustrated, thinking i had suddenly forgotten everything , when really i just had to give my art brain a second to wake up. Patience and perseverance are key

Honestly, for the most part the two of you have a pretty healthy relationship, you both wanted nothing else but to make each other happy and he often told you how much he appreciated everything you did-- regardless of how small it may have been

However, his extremely friendly nature occasionally posed problems. You normally were pretty good at not thinking anything of it and while you knew he'd never do anything to hurt you, it sometimes came off in a different way, especially when it came to his friendship with Lucy

You noticed she had feelings for him but the fact that Atsushi either was oblivious to them or just wasn't entertaining them removed most of your worries-- until today when she asked him to help her strengthen her ability

Atsushi being eager to help people as always agreed, clearly thinking the offer was innocent but to you it was clear that she was considering it a date. You weren't sure whether he agreed because he was interested or because he had no idea, leaving you fairly distant the rest of the day. Whenever he initiated physical contact you didn't return it leaving him concerned however he decided to bring it up when you two were alone

When you reluctantly told him what was wrong, he initially was shocked to hear about Lucy's feelings but was quick to reassure you that nothing was going on

He says something like: "Oh, I'm so sorry I worried you, if you want I can tell her I'm busy"

The sincerity in his tone completely washes away your worries and you tell him you're okay with him going

Even though you say you're fine now, he makes a point to spend as much time with you as possible and tells you how much he loves you even more than before ❤️

His ideals both benefited and hindered your relationship, some of his actions seemed to be forced as it was what "a proper boyfriend would do" but he also constantly told you that being insincere about his feelings isn't something that an ideal boyfriend or even man would do

Normally this kept your relationship in balance-- that is until you found him and Yosano drunk in her office. Kunikida didn't drink much so you figured it was her idea but that didn't excuse what you saw

As you walked by her office, you saw her on top of him, in a position that made it look like they were kissing-- at the very least. You left without drawing attention to yourself and waited at home for him to explain himself

He came home many hours later, looking exhausted. "Sorry I'm late y/n, I got drunk and passed out at the office" Your expression remained stern and uninterested. After explaining why you were angry he was clueless for a second before remembering what happened

He told you that after getting drunk Yosano went on a rant about his hair and how he should change his haircut. He further explained that she ended up sitting on him and pretending to cut the areas of hair she felt should be altered but nothing actually happened

After apologizing he says: "What kind of scum would I be if I cheated on my loyal partner?" He tiredly rants about how morally wrong that would be and promises to make it up to you

The next day he surprises you with a huge bouquet of flowers on your desk❤️

While he overall treated you well, his very promiscuous past often left you worrying and insecure. Also, with his looks, it wasn't uncommon for women to approach him. While he never accepted these women's offers, his response somewhat bothered you

He would often say something like: "While I'm very flattered, I am seeing someone currently so I have to decline" You understood that he was likely just trying to them let down easily but you couldn't help but see it as him being slightly disappointed that he had to turn them down

Later that week you, Dazai, and Ranpo were investigating a case and the guilty one turned out to be the ex-wife of the victim. She had long black hair, blue eyes, and was fairly thin but curvy. In attempts to get out of her punishment, she began flirting and getting all touchy with Dazai as he was the one who was attempting to handcuff her

"My, aren't you a flatterer? But..." He managed to get the handcuffs around her second wrist. "That's not getting you out of this" You, being quite fed up with him acting this way, stormed off leaving a smirk on his face. He was enjoying your reaction and made a point to tease you later for it.

He later burst into your office, trying to be affectionate but you ignored him entirely until bringing up what happened earlier. "Aren't you grumpy today! I truly hope it isn't because of that woman, after all, I didn't initiate anything"

You tried to remain unfazed but he kept poking at you. "Hmm, I wonder what it was about her that bothered you. Did you feel inadequate next to her? Or is it that you don't want another woman to lay her hands on me?"

You glared back at him "And what if I don't?"

"I never said there was anything wrong with that" He sat on your desk. "But that is oddly possessive of you, I like it" He makes sure to prove that you're the only one he has eyes for later

In the bedroom.

He says something like: "See y/n? Do you think I'd be fucking some random woman this well? You think I'd be telling anyone but you how pretty they look as they take my cock while I spread them open? While his words were somewhat reassuring, it wasn't like you could form complete sentences anyways-- the only word that left your mouth was his name

saw this in the anti tag and i have so many things to say (it's gonna be a bit long):

one: those tweets prove further that the reason taylor keeps coming on billboard hot 100 lists is because swifties are chart obsessed and have no problem streaming her songs all day if it means it'll appear on charts. they've got nothing else going for them except 'she keeps topping the charts' because there is zero songwriting, melody, performing or visual talent in any of her songs or tours.

two: taylor distanced herself from/turned on olivia (i still don't know the details of the deja vu suing case so i won't make assumptions as to what exactly happened between them) as soon as olivia started threatening her fame. in my biased opinion, i would also say that olivia is a better songwriter and overall artist than taylor (i love her guts album), and taylor didn't like seeing that a young artist could potentially outshine her. so they're not friends anymore. taylor then latched on to sabrina because she wasn't as threatening to her career as olivia was, but now that espresso has the potential to top taylor's song on the charts, swifties are turning on her too. and if this continues, i have no doubt that so will taylor. (side note: espresso is such a fun summer bop!)

it's extremely pathetic that taylor feels so threatened and insecure because of up-and-coming 20-something year old artists despite being arguably one of the biggest pop artists in the world right now.

i also feel bad for both sabrina and olivia. imagine just starting out in the music industry, and your childhood idol seeming so eager and genuine in being your best friend, but completely flips around when you show any potential of being successful. taylor is a vile person.

sorry this took me so long to respond to. personal life events are occurring and i also have the attention span of a goldfish now for some reason. im going to answer in order of your points:

one: swifties are the streaming farms they keep accusing sabrina of using. also taylor swift herself has probably bought and used streaming farms more than any other person on the spotify top 10 list. its this and taylor is sinister enough to drop new releases to block artists from getting #1’s (she did this recently with billie right?). also swiftie chart obsession just shows how insecure they are??? toxic by britney spears never went #1 and its her most popular song. i’ve never seen a fanbase as insecure as swifties because the way they lash out over even the perception of a threat towards taylor is just…so inappropriate? its such a disproportionate reaction to whatever the “threat” is (in this case, charting). like the fact swifties keep coming into the anti tag just demonstrate how intensely insecure they are. no other fanbase is so fragile they go out of their way to go and bully people for not liking their fave. like its usually the other way around, antis harassing stans. but you have swifties coming into the anti tag (where we appropriately tag and do not engage with swifties) and harassing us? for not liking her? in the anti tag? its really a testament to their insecurity that they must bulldoze anything that threatens them and their fave. which ties into the second point-

two: wasn’t sabrina like olivia’s opp because olivia’s ex cheated on her with sabrina? is that correct? that’s makes it so nasty that taylor went out of her way to purposely befriend sabrina after cutting ties with olivia. and immature! and petty! and just reflective of how low taylor stoops to make people feel like shit! not only that, but someone who is almost half her age! how awful do you have to be to do that? olivia is more talented than taylor and poses a massive threat to taylor because the music they both make appeals to the same demographic of people. the problem is olivia is actually a part of that demographic, which threatens the fuck out of taylor. how lame do you have to be to feel threatened by other female artist success all the time? and not only that, but the same people you know who adore you (and therefore easier to manipulate because you know they will trust every word out of your mouth) because you’re their childhood idol? what a horrible person.

What’s your favorite Sims death?

None (hate it when it happens); the most frequent one in my gameplays is the old age one.

Alpha CC or Maxis Match?   A mix between the two, it depends how well the CC matches the game's art style.

Do you cheat your sims weight? Not really; what I cheat is how muscular my female sims are as I play a lot the Acrobat career in TS3 Showtime and my girls bulk up too fast and too much.

Do you move objects? Ever since I learned about this particular (and very useful) cheat, yes.

Favorite Mod? Most of the Nraas mods, all of @thesweetsimmer111 fabulous baby/toddler mods and also small ones to correct some stuff in the game (like No Mascot Camera Zoom, No Autonomous Gaming, Autonomous Wash Hands After Toilet Use, Zoom-In CaS Camera, etc)

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack? World Adventures.

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing?   aLIVE  

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? A lot of them, for different reasons.

Selena Noble - a ballerina (now an acrobat) with no moral compass. But I think she's cute so she's my muse for the balletcore collection.

Lin Young - my fearless adventurer.

Riley Preston - my talented artist.

Hope London - my dedicated gardener.

Which is your favorite EA hair color? None; since it's TS3 I mix them according to my characters.

Favorite EA hair? Not really using the EA hairs usually, but I'd choose the Playful Updo from Late Night.

Favorite life stage? I play a lot the YA & A life stages, but also enjoy all the other ones.

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?  I'm in for everything the game has to offer: gameplay, building, CAW, CC creation.

Are you a CC creator? Yup.

Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad? I wouldn't say a squad, but I do have people here that I admire and like to interact with.

Do you have any sims merch? Nope.

Do you have a  YouTube for sims? Yes (as I'm an ex-machinima creator), but these days I'm only using it when I have animations to share.

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing? In every possible way. I put a lot more thought into my builds (and worlds), my sims no longer look like aliens (I used to make them have these big anime eyes) and my gameplays are more wish-based than ever.

Who’s your favorite CC creator? So many of them since I'm a big CC hoarder. As Daniel said, everyone who brings something to this game is a champion and deserves accolades.

But to mention only a few, I'd say @simtanico for their high quality items, @enable--llamas for the awesome furniture, ArtVitalex & Onyxium over at TSR who both still create furniture for TS3, Bill-Sims also at TSR, @sim-songs here on Tumblr for their conversions, @technicallyswagpizza for their amazing plants (and tutorials that taught me a lot), @yorithesims and @bmit04 for poses; @maryjanesims3 & @agnelid for hair default replacements, and so many more. How long have you had Simblr? Since January 2019.

How do you edit your pictures? For more aesthetic pics I use Reshade and PS (although I don't remember ever posting these types of pics), but I usually just slightly adjust the brightness, contrast, saturation and exposure in PS as I love the TS3's default art style (I'm just spicing it up a little).

What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite? Kinda all of the expansion packs?! Mainly Seasons, World Adventures, Late Night, Island Paradise, Generations. Also love all the functional store content and worlds.

I’m in a pissy mood, so trust me when I tell you it could be worse. I have, at least, learned restraint of pen and tongue over the years. Okay, maybe not pen. Here are some interactions I didn’t have with men on Bumble and/or Hinge (the two dating apps where I can be found):

To the guy I politely texted “I enjoyed our chat, but I don’t see us as a match” after a phone call that revealed we were absolutely, undeniably not a match, and who texted back: "Well thanks for wasting my time….” Dude, we were on the phone together. You wasted the exact same amount of my time. Did that not occur to you?

To the 20-something who contacts me regularly, insisting that he’s older than the last time I told him he was too young for me: I am also older than the last time. The same amount older. Is there something in the Y chromosome that blinds people to equivalency? Does time only happen to men?

To the below-average-looking 60-year-old whose profile reads: “In an open marriage, NOT a sugar daddy…” what exactly are you offering, and to whom? Apparently neither the chance of a committed relationship nor the possibility a fun time is on the menu. Do you think your dick is magic?

To the male friends whom I know to be in relationships that I see on the apps: I’m not going to say anything to you or to your partner, because I don’t want to hurt her plus I don’t know your life. DADT (Don’t Ask Don’t Tell) is a thing and none of my business. But my first assumption — that you’re a liar and a cheat — is statistically probably true, and it will affect how I look at you going forward. 

To the guys who mark their politics as Moderate but pose with dead fish and live ammo, are unvaccinated and hate Joe Biden with a burning passion… sorry, but you’re not a Moderate. That’s not what “moderate” means. 

To the guy standing next to the Lamborghini, the Ferrari or the McLaren in hopes of — what, attracting a woman he can later complain is only interested in his money? … Sweetie, I can see that’s a public parking lot. If you want to persuade me that you own a fancy car, you have to take the picture in your own garage. 

To all the men who have a drink in their hand in Every. Single. Profile. Picture… you might be fine. All those glasses of alcohol might be a total coincidence. But if you ever want to go to a meeting or anything, you just let me know.

Below is the profile photo that Bumble‘s algorithm decided should lead my profile page. I think they like it because I’m wearing tight pants. I like it because it was unposed; I was caught being delighted by an unexpected disco ball. 

Closing note: I find the apps to be as frustrating as most women of a certain age do. Yes, men of my generation age-gate their matches to women my daughter-in-law’s age. Yes, the paradox of choice makes it hard to invest much time or energy into any one person. Yes, a huge percentage of the profiles are overseas scammers. (Hint: If the word “honest” or “honesty” appears more than once in his profile, he’s a fake.) Yes, people lie about their age, their height, their career and their marital status. But it’s still a fascinating amateur study in sociology. For one, it shows how the population in Southern California over age 50 is still mostly white, while the population under age 50 is anything but. That’s a big demographic shift. I also notice that there is a metric shitload of single men in their 40’s. You can’t even say it’s a Gen X or a Millennial thing, as it spans both generations. Men born in the 1970s are overrepresented, at least in this town at this time. What’s up with that?

Mostly, I wonder if dating apps are keeping us lonely by giving us the illusion of not being lonely. I can talk to men all day and all night, but I’m still sleeping with my dog. No shade on the dog; he’s a good boy. But virtual connection isn’t genuine connection, and maybe that’s why we get frustrated, and I get pissy. But I will try to keep my yap shut about it. My pen, not so much.

Zehra: “After the whole cheating with Derya thing and the T-pose curse-”

Atreo: “You know about that? How?!”

Zehra: “I know everything about you. I also know everything about everyone you've ever talked to… What they eat. Their daily schedules. Their darkest secrets... After Acco’s age up, everyone finally gets the chance to fill up their neglected hunger bars with cake.

1. Alpha CC or Maxis Match? I used to be hardcore Maxis Match but I am getting into Maxis Mix these days because of the characterization you can achieve with skin details and eyes. 

2. What’s your favourite sims death? Few deaths are as good as the Mummy’s Curse in Sims 3. Honorable mentions go to pufferfish nigiri and deathl-scented flower arrangements for hot babes that do murder.

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? I’ve had a vain sim buy the insta-lean reward before, but I hated the result so I haven’t used it since. Other than that, no.

4. Do you use move objects? Who doesn’t???

5. Favorite mod? I’ve been playing this game waaaay too long to have just one favorite, lol. If I have to choose just one to feature right now… TOOL, maybe? But the Nraas suite from the Sims 3 days is also a contender. 

6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? Of all time, Livin’ Large, of course. I usually get the first expansion for each installment of the series. I got all of the Sims 4 expansions at once, though. 

7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or Living? Live as in alive. Sorry, folks.

8. Have you made a simself? I tried once but it looked nothing like me. I’m not really a simself kind of player. 

9. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? Come onnnn don’t ask me thisssss. If we’re talking completely from scratch, I have to say Biagio. I think Luisa is a really good-looking sim, but she’s technically based on her Sims 3 counterpart who was born in-game. 

10. What sim traits do you give yourself? If I have to pick just 3 traits from Sims 4, it’s probably Art Lover, Perfectionist, and Jealous.

11. Which is your favorite EA hair color? Probably platinum blonde? Or possibly the brown and gray for added townie flavor.

12. Favorite EA hair? I really couldn’t tell you. It’s probably a male hair. A lot of CC male hair is a little too K-pop for my taste.

13. Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? I like a healthy mix of both, but I’m bad at building so it gives me anxiety. That’s when I set the game down and walk away for several months. 🙃

14. Favorite life stage? None! I play on really long lifespans and it’s a joy to watch a sim go through them all. 

15. Are you a CC creator? I’ve recolored things for myself and make my own poses, but I don’t follow any quality control so I don’t share them. 

16. Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad? Not really. :( Most of my mutuals from the Sims 3 era seem to have retired. Shout out to the people that do consistently interact with my stuff. <3 I’m trying to be more active so I can connect with people again. 

17. What’s your favorite game? (1, 2, 3, or 4)  They’re all special in their own way! If I have to pick, it’s a toss-up between 2 and 3. Sims 2 had some of the last really EXCELLENT writing of the series, and Sims 3 is still undefeated in terms of sandbox gameplay. 

18. Do you have any sims merch? No, lol. I think I had that USB at one point. No idea what happened to that. 

19. Do you have a YouTube for sims? No, but I want one!!

20. How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing? I used to play strictly one family legacy-style on normal lifespans, trying to get as many generations as possible. Now I like to take more time with my characters to develop them. Now I play extreeeemely long lifespans and rotate between many families.

Um, maybe question 16? If you still answering the “artist ask” of course!

About your art, honestly, I like everything you’re drawing so either! But, it’s only my preference, I like pieces that have text on it or just drawings with a story in it? Something like that. In both ways: mind is working, you know? In first I try to automatically translate what I read and in second I’m thinking on what happens, what could happen to this to happen…etc. Man, my meaningless blather again, I’m so sorry, it’s sorta a habit

16. What’s the most daunting part of your process? Ex, planning, sketching, lineart, rendering etc

I don't like coloring! I never did, it always felt so tedious to me when all I wanted was to draw an idea or a pose and coloring was just the extra you needed to go for it to be "presentable"... (this is why I color flat 99.9% of the time) but I feel that in the past several years I learned to kinda master the cheating and efficiency in coloring and making it look like a finished piece while not going into every single detail and needing to shade it. like the kyle bar mitzvah piece, I cheated the hell out of that one with gradients and I think it works! so I no longer hate coloring, just.. like it less.

I'm also in a constant battle with backgrounds and it's by far the part least natural to me, and i definitely have more to learn about it. but i can say I try more now than I have 2-3 years ago

ahh thank you so much!! I'm so happy you enjoy it!! I love telling little stories but making comics, as much as I love it, is time and stamina consuming! sometimes I try to cram an idea into 1-2 panels with minimum text or none at all and hope it tells the story on its own! or if I don't have an amazing idea for a drawing i think of a little story for it to make the composition a little more compelling. I love when other people do that and it makes me so happy to know others see my art like that too 🥺💞

Okinawa 1972 time for baby Chozen

He says uncle in Okinawan.

He's also the only kid training with all these military dudes. Like everyone around his is at least 18 and having already trained in something else before they were deployed. Chozen is just a baby. Sato this is some Silver level BS. I'm glad you eventually out grew this, but poor Chozen having to grow up this way.

Is this a pillow to soften the blow?

Dude, Chozen is a literal child, so what if he isn't beating up his poor hands by shoving them through sand and hitting the bottom of a barrel till the sand is bloody?

I don't know if they were trying to do a 'Chozen's always found ways to cheat' type of moment here since Daniel breaks the fake weights in TKK2 that he was using to cheat paying the villagers the right amount for their vegetables. Aka he's been deceptive since a child, but instead I just feel bad for Chozen in this moment. Like he's trying to protect himself.

Tory still has the trophy at her house, which means out of the two trophies they won that would be that big on the wall, (second place ones and third place ones from what we saw kids walking away with at the end of the last all-valley in the background and from the table were much smaller) it's not even Tory's. Terry being a travel nerd: "I've always loved the fushimi inari shrine" (which, cough, same) It's free and open 24 hours, essentially it's a bunch of Torii gates up a mountain, so you climb and climb through all these gates to the top of a mountain. It's about a 2 hour hike.

But this is where Terry's testing Chozen, does he actually know Kyoto and these places.

Chozen: Too touristy (That's why you go at a non-peak time and take advantage of it being a 24 hour park) Nanzen-ji temple is much better for your next visit.

Nanzen-ji temple it looks like is about 20 minutes from Kyoto station and has some pretty aquaducts and stone gardens. Looks peaceful. (I have not been there, Silver and I taking note)

Would like to point out the small note of potential iffyness that Chozen might've made a mistake on. Nanzen-ji is a zen temple, buddhist. While the fushimi inari shrine is shinto. While that generally might not mean anything one is obviously well...zen and that's the one Chozen picked to recommend. The styles are completely different and the religions are different. Yes, fushimi inari is super touristy because it's a mountain and it's filled with torri gates but it's also a hike to see a sunset or sunrise through nature. The other is a peaceful meditative buddhist temple, with albeit some cool looking aquaducts but I don't know how much of a hike there is to that one. It's like someone recommended a nice outdoor nature excursion to visit and you recommended a spa instead.

While not 100% a trip up and excusable it I think puts a little seed of curiosity about Joe to Silver.

I love how Johnny translates numbers to fit his mood. The impound lot is 4,000 pesos which Johnny exaggerates: Is like a million dollars (It's actually current 217.37) Which Robby successfully converts to about $200 and notes they only have half that.

Robby instantly spots that at this table these sweating guys are holding Red Savina peppers that he says "Will burn a hole right through you." (He and Shannon watch Hot Ones on youtube)

Johnny's like I'll do it, but if I start to choke cover my mouth and don't let me spit it out, but Robby stops him and says he'll do it.

And gives Johnny a soft little smile, not blaming Johnny or adding to the guilt, just helping him come up with a solution. I don't think people frequently do that with Johnny, it's such a kind soft touch for a guy who just piles more and more guilt and responsibility onto himself.

You know, I'm proud of Robby. He's come in second place in the All-Valley twice, for almost anyone else that might get frustrating especially to keep losing to Johnny's students (Hawk learned from Daniel for maybe a little over 6 weeks, so I still consider him mostly Johnny's student) But here he is like this, yeah I got this, I can be the, whatever this market's name is, hot pepper eating champion, I've been prepared for this by watching a ton of hot ones. 🤣

What also works better here is Robby is better at scamming/lying and pretending.

Well, I haven't been here since last year with all the Gotham drama but now I feel like I have a few things to get off my chest and I feel safe here you know.

Yeah, I've been thinking the same... that moving all of a sudden to nj/ny took a toll on ashlyn... I mean she really struggled on the field last year, then retired unexpectedly and the fact that whenever she would talk about or be in Orlando she made sure to call it "home". And to be honest she just seemed different to me when I saw videos or photos of her.  Then this year with a new role with gotham and all the traveling she was having a life she couldn't have while being a professional athlete and she seemed different too. What I'm trying to say is that I think all the changes and new things in her life in the past two years really affected her in many ways you know and it ended up affecting their marriage too unfortunately... Of course this is just something I think about the whole situation since I don't know them.

Now the thing with sophia... Do you really believe it might be the reason? I mean I think if the reason they split was something like that she wouldn't be hanging with ali's friends (I know they are ash's too) in this moment like that as if nothing had happened. Not that they have to take sides, but I assume it would be at least a little weird and at rapinoe's match and party they were all there and this picture of moscato and ashlyn hugging made me feel like that was just not the case. I mean, if you cheat on or leave my best friend for another woman I wouldn't be hugging you and posing for pictures.

In the end I'm just sad, this whole situation really sucks. I just wish they could've worked things out and now that they'll both be retired they would go on many trips together (that honeymoon they never had 🥲) and as a family of four...  and I'm not ready to not see ashlyn besides ali today during her ceremony.

I think the move from FL to NY/NJ was probably the beginning of the end, yeah. And also the fact that Ashlyn retired a year before Ali did. But to me that just proves that maybe they weren't as strong together as we thought, because if location of where you live really matters that much and you really couldn't make conflicting schedules work for a year, were you really that solid or meant to be? It just feels like Ashlyn wasn't putting in the work then and let the retirement life affect her in ways she knew it shouldn't have. Sophia swooped in and Ashlyn just let her be consumed by it because it was easier than trying to make the difficulties with Ali and their family work. It's a stupid decision and I'll never understand it but that's what it seems like.

I mean she had to know retirement was going to affect her in different ways, it was going to be tough no doubt and I'm sure she couldn't get as much support as she needed or wanted from Ali because she was still playing and they also had kids to take care of but again, that was something she should have expected and not resent her for. When Ali was going through getting fired off the NT in 2017 and was miserable every day, they still got through it and Ali put the work in. It's obviously different situations since they have kids now and all of that but I just feel like it speaks volumes that they were able to get through that but not this.

I think Sophia just came around at the perfect time and Ashlyn was liking the attention and validation she was giving her and so she took that route instead. I'm still confused on which of their mutual friends knew what and when and how much, it does seem a little shady especially when it comes to Megan's retirement game and the morning after of them all together and stuff but you can even see Megan being kind of standoffish with them on the field so who knows. There's some things we just aren't going to find out or be able to make sense of unfortunately.
