Hi, I've been wondering for the photography AU what general time period it's set in, what type of camera(s) does Koby use (it looks like a canon to me but seems to make polaroids, at least that's the surface level observation I can make from my extremely limited knowledge on cameras), what type of photography he personally enjoys and the type he usually does for work (if he does it as his profession too). What does Koby aim to capture with his images, the casual mundane life of an average person, an unreal, etheral sight in a place the average person can't go, Luffy's luffiness, etc? Also what's the general budget Koby has towards camera equipment (doesn't need to be that exact, just a general "he's broke" or "He spends all his money on lenses" would suffice)? My questions are kinda vague here because I'm going to research more about photography later. Thanks in advance :D Oh yeah and also does Koby travel, if not what's the general landscape of his nearby area. You don't need to answer this since I'll probably make it up but it'd be good to know.

- its a modern au!! so set like. now!

- koby uses sony cameras primarily but yes he does have a few canons (nikon confuses him)

- he has a seperate polaroid camera!!! he usually prints digitally from sd though

- for type of photography, he started with a passion for ocean and landscape photography, mostly beaches and any scene with water in focus. he also has an interest in portraiture but his love for portraiture only comes to play when he meets luffy. cheese cheese cheeeesyyyy because luffy smiles and hes IMMEDIATELY enamoured. anyway, he starts to study and practice portraiture in depth because of the pretty boy he met in maths class and eventually works up the courage to ask him to model for him. they get super close and eventually start dating; luffy likes how dedicated koby is to his work and how cute he is when he blushes.

-SORDY got carried away with the sappy lovey stuff. koby sells his landscape/wildlife photography at local stores as a side hustle thing haha. but he doesnt really do it professionally, he much prefers to keep it as a hobby / simple income.

- koby aims to capture the beauty of colour! he loves vibrancy when shooting with a softbox or some other source of light he will usually use something to change the hue rather than plain old bw on a simple white bg

- following on he HATES shooting black and white photos unless theyre negatives because idk i think he would think it looks cool. what a guy

- with luffy photography he just likes catching luffys smile or just luffy in general; whipped dud!!! he thinks he is gorgeous

- ahahhhh budget budgettt. lenses are fucking EXPENSIVE!!! he uses a 50mm that helmeppo got him for his birthday one year (rich kid stuff. he knew koby likes photography and searched Best Lense For People Pictures and bought the first one he saw) the 50 is canon as consequence so koby uses canon for loofy pics. he has an 18-55mm he uses as well.

- he is broke yes. koby does have a minimum wage weekend job to pay for living expenses but all in all that boys pockets are empty. luffy is the breadwinner (miss rabbit with the one zillion jobs) he works about 4 different jobs and is happy to pay for anything koby wants despite kobys adamant NOs. like i said he gets helmeppo to pay for a bunch of stuff and helmeppo pays on his dads card LOL.

- koby does travel! mainly by train or boat, not often does he go to an entirely different country but he has previously a few times. when he does go abroad he takes luffy with him!!!! (he looks pretty in the snow. he likes taking pictures of him in snow)

to be completely honest, i don’t really know how to answer the age gap question myself. its sort of nuanced to talk about but sort of also kind of in the face??? if that even makes sense… but heres my two cents about it: it isn’t necessarily a bad thing because it’s not such a huge gap — but the context of the relationship itself is what matters the most, i believe. for example, meeting each other as adults is perfectly okay because there’s not much of a power imbalance present (which also depends on how you live your lives alongside other factors when it comes to defining a power imbalance within a relationship — but at the end of the day you’re still consenting adults). however, it is obviously a different story when it comes to someone who’s still considered a teen and someone who’s considered an adult being in a relationship, because that'... it’s just weird??? for the lack of a better word 😓 there is NO reason for an adult to be with someone underaged. period.

and if we're going by anton, then a 4 year age gap with him would be very concerning, since he is currently 20 years old and you would be around 16 — which is, like, 11th grade of high school? and please don't listen and follow those other kids who think that getting with someone older than them is a flex or whatever because i promise you that it never works out (and TRUST me because i’ve known and heard from a lot of people from highschool who’ve dated college boys who only date them because they can’t find someone their age 😒), and you are more likely to end up hurting yourself over someone who took advantage of you. it may seem like it's not such a big deal, but please know that adults (like actual adults and not just someone who turned freshly 18) who romance minors are not good people. at all.

and i don’t mean to discourage anyone from liking anton/or any of the riize members if they’re significantly older than you — that’s not my objective at all! i guess i just want to kind of educate people on this??? it’s not a Bad thing to be delusional sometimes, since even i get carried away with my fantasies about kpop idols because i’m only two years younger than my bias haha, but at the end of the day you gotta realize that there are still other significant factors to consider when it comes to something as intimate as romantic relationships! it’s also not bad to be young and obsessing over your fav idols, too, but you have a draw a line somewhere because these are grown men/women who live their lives so differently from us fans and at the end of the day we don’t truly know how they act behind cameras :,)

Tell us about your baby!: She's the testtube biological baby of Sir Hammerlock & Wainwright Jakobs (which basically means she could aim and shoot a pistol at the age of 4) and has 4 siblings (one of which is also an oc, but is an adoptive kid, and the rest are canon characters who got adopted). She has a big plushie collection (some knitted or sewn by Wainwright, some crocheted by Hammerlock, some being gifts from extended family or the Crimson raiders) and also fucked up eldritch powers beyond human comprehension bc her parents are abominations from beyond the veil (my Borderlands rewrite AU is a mess haha) which she primarily uses to teleport all over the house, causing an understandable amount of problems. Clay is her weird uncle and she loves him. She's kinda based off Wednesday Addams because autism. Also she is autistic, the nicest weirdgirl on Eden-6, swears an unusual amount for a 5 year old (being around Wainwright del Frisco Jakobs-Hammerlock will do that to you) and often swaps between her Edenian (space southern) and her Hermesian (space british) accents bc yknow. Just listen to her dads speak and you'll see.

Anything else you want to add?: (1) Most people call her Reb for short but Wainwright calls her Rebby because yes. (2) She eventually grows to inherit the Jakobs corporation and generally sorta girlbossify but that's extreme future timeskip stuff I don't talk abt often because I feel cringe about it. (3) Her name continues on the general theme of Jakobs related things having biblical symbolism - Rebekah is Jacob's mother in the book of Genesis (if i remember correctly). sawyer hale is a kid who had a pretty hard knock life in a cyberpunk dystopia city. after deciding his dad kinda sucked, sawyer ran away and emancipated himself at 16 and moved into a different, nicer city and became a hermit for a while. afterwards, he proceeded to save the world twice; once he saved a cyberworld from the big bad capitalists and second he saved the universe from collapsing via terrible creature. as he goes through these adventures he learns how to be comfortable and happy with himself again.

also he destroyed his dad when he possessed a robot body. go kid!!

sawyer super loves tech but he gave it up for a while because Shitty Dad Ruining It For Him, but he eventually finds his passion again and makes phenomenal inventions. also he is the embodiment of Baby because all the adults around him want to scoop him up and carry him around for being a little issues boy with issues. they love singing and the arts in general, and they're very open-minded, which makes them a pretty good friend.

oh yeah all his adventures kinda messed up his biology so he's partially made of code now. and also has wings made of code. he can design them however he wants like retexturing game assets. YIPPIE!

I need clarification because you've already mentioned you always had the intention of writing a "fix it fic". Did you plan Mordor before Shire? Or did you just write Shire around the concept of Mordor? Did you leave any breadcrumbs that weren't picked up by readers? I need an itemized list, ma'am 👀

of course, love! so, short answer - no. mordor was not properly planned before shire but... long answer? yes.

i left a ton of clues, actually! they were very heavy in the set up, because instead of dropping obvious plot clues (which i definitely did), i mostly focused on making it clear these characters were 'built' to specifically fall into this situation of season 4. all the relationships, all the small moments, all the little details - they all add up to make gasoline for vecna's fire so to speak. this is probably more than you wanted, so i apologize, but it's fun because i kept a vague list for myself and this one has more details. <3 so yeah sorry this is stupid long and i got carried away but thank you for the question!!! shire is my baby and i'm always willing to give lame ass director's commentary

the name. i was stuck on the name until i realized i could break that quote into two story titles!! i think i specifically said that on tik tok, too. like before shire even broke 100 hits, i was over there going "👀 this is a secret tool i will use later"

shire started with an altered but still canon scene (dustin's return at scoops)! as well as alluded to the fact that the upside down existed because of steve changing! to show that i was following canon <3

in chapter 2, there's also a hint of something that will be happening in mordor. as i said, mordor wasn't properly planned, but i had an idea of how it would go down haha. actually, there two references? but one is unintentional so go figure.

chapter 3 once more referenced that the upside down was canon! starcourt still burned down, the events of season 3 occured, but willow was simply not involved... yet. obviously, robin involved her by informing her of what really happened, and planted the knowledge/fear of the upside down in her.

chapter 4 shows a brief flash of willow putting someone else's comfort above her own - when she downplays her hair to her mom. it's a big part of her character for mordor, obviously lol. also robin shoos away her mother and says she'll take care of her, alluding to how when trouble happens in the show, parents aren't involved. to hint that if trouble arose, willow's mom would be absent.

also in chapter 4! steve doesn't slow down. willow is the first to notice the danger and him nearly hitting the deer. she notices danger before him - he's an action-first, think-later type of person. again, crucial character points for mordor. willow is literally the first to sense vecna technically speaking. and speaking of steve, notice he doesn't want willow involved in the upside down in this chapter and is trying to scope out just how much robin involved her. when it comes to the russians, he was an open book. when it came to the upside down, he's ready to shut it all down and keep her in the dark. <3

7.. chapter 5 crucial character point - where as we established that willow puts others needs above her own, eddie is the first to put her needs over his (not getting the cigarette near her, the jacket, etc.)

8. chapter 7 - eddie refers to willow as multiple magic user names from D&D. she's the one later linked to the freaky wizard villain aha

9. their book choices. willow chose little women, which furthers solidifies the way she grew up so fast, the way she tries to fill a stereotypical role as a woman not only in society but her family (aka with her mother after parker passes. also, it was alluding to the fact that she's lost a sibling!) eddie's is about adventure, about being thrust into a journey. they were choices i felt fit who they were as characters best, alluded to the fic namesake, and also serve as a way to criticize how they approach responsibility. willow takes it with heavy shoulders - eddie is simply thrust into it. willow's fate has long been sealed, but eddie's was an ever changing opportunity, if that makes sense. one is doomed by the narrative not just from society, but by her past. the other isn't doomed yet. he still has a chance to escape it all, while willow is already involved with the upside down due to robin. i sound like a crazy person now haha. also when just used in shire, it shows that willow and steve won't be together but uh... that's an entirely different list, isn't it? also their conversation about it in 25. <3

10. also worth mentioning how often it is brought up that willow is a bad liar, but we see her capable of lying when it comes to bigger picture things (keeping the fake dating realistic, etc.). she does know how to keep a secret.

11. the difference in how steve and eddie treats willow when dropping her off. it was, one, to illustrate which one she would end up with (again, different list). but also how one is far more individually protective over her :-) that'll come into play later. simply put - steve has faith that willow can handle herself, and eddie trusts her but also chooses to still take precautions (from a distance or otherwise!)

12. eddie progressively makes willow more reckless. in the beginning of shire, she's very anal about her schedule and such. by the end of the story, when their first date is going wrong, she's better able to handle it. eddie, on the other hand, struggles with losing control. they change each other wildly. in shire's context, that's for the better. in mordor... it'll be an issue.

13. she goes from wanting no involvement in d&d, to being involved for eddie (first game - sternly won't play. by the end of the story, she is willing to help plan a campaign. specifically, she helps plan VECNA'S CULT. and vecna's return is her idea). another change, another demonstration of the subtle lengths you'll go for the one you love, until it's no longer subtle situations.

14. willow also criticizes the way the game involves making careful decisions through dice rolling! she's more aligned with steve's thought process of acting first, worrying about consequences later, especially when it comes to herself. it shows that underneath it all, although they switch roles from planner and the one who goes with the flow, those values were always there under the surface. which comes into play in mordor and the vecna situation!

15. chapter 16 - the first demonstration of willow being eddie's protector.

16. also chapter 16 - it's established that eddie is dustin's protector, which plays into his canon demise (in my opinion, at least!). and then chapter 17 - solidification of willow being eddie's protector as she physically will put herself between him and danger before dragging him away from it. also, eddie being dustin's protector again. haha. also, eddie acknowledging it. :-)

23. the whole parker situation. obviously, i pulled real life inspo, but i always knew i was going to traumatize willow (as audrey put it). parker's death shapes who she is a person very fundamentally, and gives vecna an in for her mind. the thing is, i purposefully made it something that was pretty far back in the past, but still affected her deeply. she's had time to heal, but she didn't. there's so much to say about this little tid bit but it's rough, and sensitive to talk about.

25. willow having to choose between eddie and steve during their fight with jason. 

26. willow’s d&d character has major clues! Spent a long time combing over that one

and then obviously, her headaches, her nightmares, the upside down visions, etc. that i brought back for the final chapters. like i said, so much of it was fit into the beginning of the story. i needed to set it up for mordor, but a lot of shire is just a love story. my entire point for shire was solely mordor - it was tell a nice love story that comforted me through a lot of rough times. i'm just lucky i got to have my cake and eat it too i guess lol <3

so i guess in a way, when you asked me if i wrote shire around the concept of mordor, the answer there is also no! i wanted shire to be able to exist without mordor, as well.

hello friend, thanks for the ask!! realized i reblogged this without access to a laptop and had to wait til i had mine again to answer 😂 but here we go! (Also don't apologize, these are fun! Mostly I'm sorry because I can't answer briefly like a normal person, and this response is probably going to take up a lot of space, lol.)

2. Do you plan each chapter ahead or write as you go?

I don't have too many multichapter fics, and I think they've all been done differently, haha. "love don't roam, but occasionally it wanders off" was mostly outlined in advance. "the rose-pond swap" was me messing around at the beginning, but then people read it (lol, how dare people read this) and I frantically tried to plan the rest of it (and we can all see how that went 😂). "the weight of words" has the barest skeleton of an outline just to keep track of the canon timeline, but otherwise is just being made up. "my mind turns your life into folklore" was written on a complete whim, no thoughts head empty just eightrose. (I think we can infer here that planning worked best, but alas, it also appears that I'm bad at that.)

Barcelona: Where No Doctor Has Gone Before! - Is the plot good? no. However, there are five Doctors, and it was fun, and even if I wish I'd planned it better, I'm fairly pleased with the result.

a more literal method of compartmentalization - I suspect this will always be one of the ones I'm most proud of, in that I knew what story I wanted to tell and somehow I got there? Wrote this in a sleep-deprived haze so no clue how that happened, but I'm glad it did!

16. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Share one of them?

Technically speaking, a lot. Things I'm actually thinking about writing? Maybe like... 5? 2 are Spotify asks from the frickin 2021 Wrapped game and YES I've started I swear 😂😅 I just got stuck. Various other people/conversations have had me revisiting like 4-5 things I'd jotted down in the past (Eight chameleon arch, a tenrose Bridgerton thing, a sequel to something, an out-of-order thing). Uhh, in non-DW news, I've got a Hellcheer thing I really want to write that's mostly about "right person, wrong timing" angst (with a happy ending because it's me, lol).

28. On average, how much writing do you get done in a day?

Most days, I don't write. When inspiration strikes, anywhere from 500 - 2000 words, probably. On a few rare occasions, I've just cranked out the whole story in one sitting, but I don't generally have time for that nowadays.

40. If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

This is such an interesting question... I've never really even considered this. I think one of the scenes I most consciously decided to try to make pretty is the Woman Wept scene in LDRBOIWO (that is a bad acronym lol), so that could be nice? I'll have to think about this more!

65. Tell us about what you’re most looking forward to writing – in your current project, or a future project

Honestly, at the moment the thing I'm most hopeful about writing is the Hellcheer thing mentioned in 16. DW-wise, though, I really want to go update all of my WIPs sometime soon, and I want to get at least one of the songfics done--I feel like I'll feel way less guilty about starting new projects if I wrap up some of the outstanding ones.

1. If you have a lighter, what color is it?

It is currently a bright yellow lighter that I've gotten while I was in Weed, California on my way home from Universal Studios/LA!

2. Pepsi box blue or cheetos bag orange?

Honestly, why not both? Both are really wicked shades of both colors so I think they have a pretty good tie here! (Though I really miss the blue that Pepsi used to be in the 90s-early 2000s)

3. Do you like pasta?

I FRICKIN LOVE PASTA!!!!!!!

Noodles are the absolute best and my favorite kind of pasta if I had to pick, ramen, spaghetti, alfredo, whatever comes with noodles, I'll love it!

I also love macaroni pasta, bow tie pasta, shell pasta, rigatoni pasta, rotini pasta and ravioli pasta as well!

4. How often are you on tumblr?

Since it's pretty much the only form of social media I have (my Artstagram got hacked a little over a year ago and I didn't try getting it back after no response from the staff since I hated Instagram anyhow), I'm pretty on here a lot of the time I'm on my phone if I'm not drawing, watching YouTube, or otherwise having IRL responsibilities and obligations take my attention away from being on Tumblr

According to my phone, the time I spend on here can range around 3-4 hours a day for the past two months, so hopefully that helps answer your question too!

5. Are you only doing this because you’re bored?

Yep I sure can my friend!! It's one of my most favorite things to do in the entire world, if there's a body of water anywhere and I have a swimsuit on me (esp rivers, lakes and indoor pools), I will run and be right in the water before you know

I've been able to swim since the age of 3 and started swimming as a whole at 1 year old with my mom and grandma!

Myself and a lot of people I know (including my parents and my grandparents) think I was a mermaid in a past life due to how good I am at swimming since I was super young and because every time I'm swimming and am under the water, I feel like I'm in a way at home!

8. Have you had water today?

I have not!

As controversial and a bad habit as it is, I don't really drink water all that often, I do occasionally drink a cup of water since really feeling up to it

And I also drink water in a water bottle I carry on me for hot weather in case I go walking somewhere!

9. Which do you prefer, cotton candy or funnel cake?

I would have to pick cotton candy for this one, because despite me loving funnel cake and wanting to eat more of it one day, I only ever got to have one once back when I was around 16 when I lived with my bitch aunt at the time and was at the fair with her!

She wouldn't let me have my own funnel cake (since I wanted one with strawberries, but she didn't since she hated sweet things), so she got a sugar and cinnamon one she shared with me instead

(she also didn't get me my own at the time cuz I was around 200 pounds at the time due to taking Abilify at the time as well and kept blaming it on me ""eating too much"")

Also I just really love cotton candy as well, hehe!

DEFINITELY DRUMS!!

I love bass, but drums are in general easier on my hands and I can actually pick up on it pretty quickly than I could bass

I've messed with them with a friend of my dad that also plays drums and plays bass and everyone thought I was pretty damn good (esp at keeping rhythm) even though I felt like I didn't really know what I was doing lol!

They've been a huge part of my life ever since I can remember!

I do on occasions that Im able to have access to them, I used to play lots of video games when I was a child/teen back when I used to have quite a few consoles like the Wii, Xbox 360 and the original Xbox, the Nintendo 3DS, and the PS2

But now since my brother only has a PS4 with barely any games and gaming is now so expensive, I don't really play as many video games as I would like to!

It only caused a small bruise that healed really quickly, so nothing to worry over!

There's quite a few places, but nothing will ever top Carl's Jr for me when it comes to their burgers and fries, God they're the best!

Plus I actually miss the commercials they used to have with Jessica Simpson, they weren't afraid to have beautiful looking women eating delicious food and I kinda miss it since it makes me feel like they and yourself don't need to have the self confidence to have a beautiful body and to still eat the things you love!

I think I remember about,,,,,, 30%-40% of my childhood due to many many key factors and appointments such as autism-driven (is that the word??) childhood amnesia and much more

The most that I can remember are my years in elementary school and middle school (if you discount my teenage years from around 15-17) and it's all pretty scattered and comes to me randomly on random days piece by piece so it can take YEARS for me to properly recall past memories from my childhood!

I usually really love me my sweet/fruity teas like Constant Comment and berry flavored teas

But a current favorite of mine that I used to replace coffee is Morning Thunder Black Tea

I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas - Gayla Peevey

I know it's a super old, ridiculous, and silly song that's sung by a literal little girl!

But I think it has a cute charm to it and I have really good memories of it playing over the speakers at a Christmas Party that friends of my Dad's were throwing in the fire station in the super small highway-township when I was around 13 (plus that party had an amazing fondue and chocolate fountain courtesy of my Dad's friends who were throwing the party)!

Book stores since I actually have a book collection and I go to book stores on the occasions I'm able to find them!

Plus I've just been to book stores more so far since I've only ever been to one record store!

it was any time now where he’d find out.

she didn’t do a good job hiding the fact and was practically a super fan of his behind closed doors. she met vinnie through her brother max, who became one of vinnie’s closest friends, and since her and max were so close, she’d often join them on hangouts.

hence why the three of them were in paris.

the two boys had left y/n at the airbnb to go do god knows what, leaving the girl to study and finish up her schoolwork. she didn’t want to keep the boys from having fun so she insisted that they go on without her.

but two hours went by and she became lonely.

grabbing her bag, she called an uber to take her to the skate park, where she assumed the boys would be. putting her phone down on the bathroom counter, she quickly fixed up her hair before going to wait outside for her ride. how was she supposed to know that they were actually in the streets of paris taking pictures and posing with cigarettes? she wasn’t omniscient and sure as hell couldn’t read minds.

once she got to the skate park, she walked around aimlessly, her black shoes carrying her feet across the entire park, looking for them.

she saw the silhouette of two boys, one seated while the other one was skating on the half pipe.

“hey!” she waved, squinting to try and make out their faces. the boy seating looked up from his phone while the other one came to a complete stop.

wrong people.

“oh, sorry! my bad, i uh, thought you were someone else.” she awkwardly apologized, letting out a dry laugh and walking off, thinking over what to do in her head.

where the hell could they be?

she felt the back pocket of her ripped jeans, feeling for her imaginary phone. she pulled out her bag, looking through the contents as she assumed she just put it in her bag and forgot.

then she realized that she left her phone on the sink of the airbnb.

fuck.

she panned over, checking to see if the two boys were looking at her, but saw that they weren’t. pacing back and forth, she tried to take deep breaths and keep calm.

curse vinnie for being so damn heady. two hours without him and she already longed for his presence.

“hey, um. i’m sorry, could i borrow a phone? i need to make a call.” she chirped, raising a hand up and bringing attention to herself. she hoped that they spoke english.

the brunette boy stayed seated while the edgier blonde one, stopped his board and walked towards her, holding out a phone for her to use.

“thank you.”

she quickly dialed vinnie’s number.

she couldn’t remember max’s, despite being his sister, and yet she knew vinnie’s like the back of her hand. all those nights that she read those familiar digits and just wishing that she could have the courage to call him.

she silently prayed that he’d pick up, but he didn’t.

“your call has been forwarded to an aut—“

“fuck.” she huffed, realizing that he wouldn’t answer since it wasn’t a number he recognized. the blonde boy snapped the phone out of her hands, clearly annoyed as he walked away.

she didn’t know what to do and her brain was so fried from studying that she didn’t have the power to move. she remembered the boys talking about going to the skate park and hoped that they hadn’t gone yet.

dropping to the side of a half pipe, she clutched her purse to her chest and sat cris-cross, her eyes closing ever so slightly from the fatigue before the sleepiness consumed her.

“yeah, me too y/n. let’s go.” he held onto her hand, lifting her up so she was standing. the girl wasn’t ready for his next move as he swiftly picked her up and carried her bridal style back to the car. his small grunts and footsteps were music to her ears in that moment.

peeling open her eyes, she looked up at him. “so pretty,” she murmured. her eyes danced over his appearance and the boy tried to hide his blush. before he could reply, the girl was knocked out in his arms.

a/n: Hello! This has been in my drafts for quite a bit so here it is. This fic is too too fluffy, even for me who wrote this. Cobie is such a sweetheart, I can't-... Anyways, I hope you like this as much as I enjoy writing it! :)

Being in a long distance relationship is difficult as it needs to have a huge amount of trust, understanding, discipline and a lot of reassurance. However, despite all the fights you may have due to miscommunications and most of the time just lack of physical affection, you still cherish and love your boyfriend very much. You met your boyfriend online as he added you on social media a few years back. You clicked on his profile only to see that he lived in South Korea.

He looks to be a professional dancer and also a full time student in one of the colleges there. Not to mention, super good looking too. However, you weren’t really expecting anything at that point of time only because you don’t really believe in long distance relationships. You’ve always thought it might be hard and that it will never last.

So you just accepted his request and followed him back. The next day, you were in class when you got a DM from someone. And since you rarely got a DM from any guys, you were surprised to see his username pop up.

You clicked the message after about 10 minutes or so to see what he texted you, thinking he was just another weirdo who wants to scam you.

His message said;

“Hello! I saw your account and I really love your content. I’m sorry if this is too weird. I understand if you don’t wish to reply.”

With that, you couldn’t help but stifle a laugh as you didn’t know why but you began to type your reply, “Haha thank you! That’s so nice of you to say that.” You hit the send button and a few minutes later, he replied. That’s when you began to chat with him for quite a while before he asked.

“I’m so sorry, where have my manners gone? I’m Bae Joon Young but you can just call me Jacob. And you are?”

You replied to him with a smile as your fingers tapped against your smartphone, “I’m Y/F/N but you can call me Y/N.”

Ever since then, you have been chatting with him over DMs for quite a while, just to see if you can sort of trust and be comfortable with him or not. It took you almost 5 months to finally add him in your kakao talk.

Both of you have already done both voice and video call which means you already knew how each other looked and you seemed to have grown your trust in him. Jacob seemed like a genuine guy as you found out that he was your age internationally. Months became years and both of you have already introduced your partners to your parents.

However, at first, your parents weren’t too sure about this whole long distance relationship thing. But they didn’t want to disappoint you so instead of asking you to break up and find a local guy, they let you carry on with this relationship if you believe that it would work. Surprisingly, it took your parents less than a month to get warm with Jacob as they finally got comfortable every time he video calls you.

It has been 4 years since you two agreed to pursue this long distance relationship as it marks your 4th anniversary today. You were just lounging in your room when Jacob decided to skype call you through his desktop.

You accepted the call as he smiled adorably into the camera and waved to you, making you giggle as you waved back. “Happy anniversary baby.” Jacob said.

“Happy anniversary my love. Where are you?” You asked.

“I’m in my dorm. Younghoon’s out with our friends.”

“Why aren’t you with them?” You pout.

“I wanted to celebrate our anniversary.”

“Baby, you didn’t have to, you could have called me after.”

“Don’t you want to see me?” He asked sadly.

“Of course I do. It’s just… I feel like I might be the reason why you may not hang out with your friends as often as you do.”

“Baby, listen to me. I’m so lucky to have you as my girlfriend, dang am I lucky to have you reply to my message 4 years ago. I never thought that we could actually last this long but hey, look at us now.” You smiled as you looked down at your hands, only to look back up and see him pout.

“I love you so much, you know that right? And I can never ask for someone to replace you.” He said, making you sigh.

“What did I ever do to deserve you?” You asked softly, making him chuckle.

“How I wish I could enter my computer screen and just hug you and kiss you.” He whispered, making you smile sadly, knowing that could never happen, or at least it wouldn’t happen any time soon. You continue talking to him until you fall asleep, making him chuckle softly at your figure. Looking at you through his monitor screen endearingly.

“Goodnight my sweetheart.” He said those last words softly before he ended the call.

Days slowly became weeks and it was the same routine again and again but neither of you were getting bored or tired from it. He would always reassure you that he still loves you and that he would never hurt your feelings in any possible way. It was your birthday that day and your parents had booked a restaurant for you to celebrate and have your birthday dinner with your family, like how it has always been for the past few years.

It would be you, both your parents, your elder sister and her husband along with your 5 years old niece.

You chose to wear a white floral blouse with a pair of denim jeans as you paired it with your heeled sandals. You were in the car with your parents, on your way to the restaurant when Jacob voice called you.

“Hello?” He said.

“Hi Love.”

“What are you doing?”

“I’m heading to a restaurant with my family for my birthday dinner. What about you?”

“Oh wow. Where to, this time? I’m just out with the boys.”

“I honestly don’t know. They didn’t tell me.” You laughed as your mother then smiled and spoke up from the front passenger seat.

“Hello dear. How are you sweetie?”

With that, you scooted to the centre of the back seat and put your call on speaker mode. Just then, you heard Jacob respond. “Hello Ma’am, I’m doing well. I wish I could be there to celebrate with all of you.” Jacob said, making you smile sadly as your parents let out a soft chuckle.

“It’s okay son, one of these days, you’ll get to meet our daughter and us.” Your dad said as you could already hear a smile etching on Jacob’s lips.

“Yes sir. I hope so.” Your boyfriend said before you giggled as you turned the speaker mode back off before bringing your phone to your ears. “Hmm, babe I think we’re here. I’ll call you again after dinner okay?” You said into the line.

“It’s okay baby. Don’t worry. Have fun tonight. I love you.”

“I love you too…” You paused for a moment as he waited for you to continue.

“I miss you Jacob.” You couldn’t help but whisper as a tear rolled down your cheek, making him frown.

“Baby please don’t cry. Promise me you won’t cry.” He said, making you nod as you sniffled your cries.

“I’ll try.” You said as you then bid him goodbye before ending the call.

Your sister had already arrived as you and your parents went to the front entrance where a waiter was waiting. Your dad told him that they’ve already made a reservation under your dad’s name as the waiter checked his list and soon smiled at the three of you. “Right this way.” The waiter said as he soon guided you towards the back of the restaurant where there were private rooms with opaque curtains to block the view of those sitting inside.

You were walking last as you texted your boyfriend in the process.

Once you were at the booth, your dad asked you to enter first, in which you got confused but nonetheless did as you were told. However, the minute you pushed the curtains open, your eyes immediately landed on the one person sitting at the very end of the table nearest to the entrance.

You felt your whole body freeze as you couldn’t find the right words. He was there, right in front of you, in one piece. It was him. It was your boyfriend. He was really there physically. You couldn’t believe this.

“Wha- I- When… Omg… Omg…” You whispered as everyone laughed, only for Jacob to chuckle as he got up, making you feel so flustered.

“Happy Birthday my love.” He said, as he walked up to you but you were still frozen in shock.

“Surprise!” Your family said in unison happily.

You locked eyes with Jacob as he engulfed you in a hug. That’s when you began to bawl your eyes out against his shoulder as you could finally feel his arms around your body, holding you tight as though he was afraid of losing you. Jacob laughed softly as he let you cry into his shoulder, while he gently rubs soothing circles in your back to calm you down.

You had your arms wrapped around his waist securely, afraid that if you let go, he would disappear. “Shh, don’t cry baby. Don’t cry.” He whispered in your ear, only for you to cry harder. He laughed even more as your mother and sister were already tearing up at the side.

You pull away from him as he gently wipes your tears with his thumbs. “You’re here… You’re actually here…” You whispered, your breath shaky as he nodded, cupping your face softly in his hands. “Yes love. I’m here. I’m really here.” Jacob said, making you pout. Still unable to believe this was real.

Jacob smiled widely as he pulled you into a hug again, only for you to bury your face in his chest, feeling him draw lazy patterns into your waist. After nearly 30 minutes of you holding onto him and being in your own little bubble, the 7 of you finally settled down to celebrate your birthday dinner. After dinner was over, your parents offered Jacob to stay over at your family home for the next two weeks that he is staying here in your country before he flies back to Korea.

Jacob thanked your parents for letting him stay over as you couldn’t stop holding his hand. The way his hands fit in yours so perfectly as he showered you with so much love and warmth, just like how he did through all the video calls and texts.

That night when everyone had gone home, your parents knew that you probably wanted to spend time with him so they let him sleep in your room.

After both of you had already changed and were getting ready for bed, he pulled you onto his side as you rested your head on his chest. Jacob hugs you close as you tighten your grasp on his shirt. “What’s wrong?” He asked as he glanced down a little.

“I’m just so happy you’re here. I still need time to process this information.” You confessed.

Jacob chuckled softly as he whispered, “I’m really happy to be able to finally see you in person. This means so much to me.”

“Me too.”

Just then, the room fell quiet as you just looked into each other’s eyes, seeing the sparkles coating both your pupils as he gently caressed your cheek. Right at that moment, Jacob seemed to read your mind as he gently pulled you up a little. Without much words, Jacob decides to ask the one question that both of you had in mind.

“Can I kiss you?”

With that, you smiled shyly as you nodded. Jacob smiles in victory as he leans down softly to finally feel your soft lips on his and it has never felt so magical. Both of you took in this new feeling as he kissed you sweetly.

You spent the next two weeks with him, just making the most of your time. A month after he went back to Korea, it was your turn to give him a surprise visit as you managed to book a flight to Korea, asking for Jacob’s help to fetch you at the airport and bring you over to his apartment.

You stayed with Jacob for two days before surprising Jacob for his birthday party. Jacob did such a good job at taking care of you and making sure that you weren’t lost in Korea.

Despite the long distance, it definitely made you two grow stronger and gain even more trust in one another. It was a blessing in disguise that you accepted his request 4 years ago.

personality-wise, i think tenya would gravitate toward someone that is intuitive, trustworthy, and kind-hearted. 

someone who isn’t going to tease about the things that hurt him, or question the things he holds nearest to his heart.

someone who would patch him up after a long day, help him with his arm, and hold his face in their hands.

someone who knows when to push, and when to release.

when to prod him with questions, encouraging him to share more, but not arguing and making him feel ashamed for his ambitions.

someone who will be gentle with him, and respect that he is a hero for all the right reasons and does it because he has to

i’m not doing physical appearance because it REALLY bothers me when people hc characters with a certain type.

to me, it feels like it’s made with the intention to leave people out, but...

i think he would have 4-6 kids, to keep it even have a big, strong family

he grew up with siblings and loves them to death, so it only fits that he would want the same thing for his kids

but he wouldn’t pressure his kids into being heroes or into doing anything related to hero work, because he can understand how intimidating and suffocating that expectation is 

it scares him to think that he could get killed by a villain and have to leave them behind, but he does his best every day so that he can come home to you and all the little iidas

C - Cuddle (Do they like to cuddle? How do they like to cuddle most?)

honestly? i’m not really sure that tenya would like cuddling that much at first, but i think he’d do it for his significant other and it would grow on him.

i don’t feel like he’d be very cuddly or overly affectionate physically, but would do it to comfort and care for you.

i do think that he likes to hold you and keep you safe in his arms, so i do think that if you were gonna cuddle, he’d hold you close to his chest and wrap his arms around you so that he can press kisses to ur forehead (awww <3)

he’s up early for work, but comes home tired. he tries to stay up to talk after dinner, but as the days get longer, his energy wavers more.

i think he’s use to being up for long periods of time, but if he can relax, i think he’ll take that chance to fall asleep on the couch next to you.

if you’re fighting, he’s wants it to be fixed. he’s not interested in dramatics, or spite, or pettiness.

if he did something wrong, you know he’ll apologize profusely and try his best to give you space, if you need it. if not, he’ll comfort you and reassure you that he didn’t mean it that way, or that he didn’t think before he said it.

if you did something wrong, an apology will help. though sometimes the words hurt more than he’d like to admit, he believes you when you tell him that you’re sorry, and he’s willing to move on from it.  

i don’t think there would ever be a real, blown up fight, because he’s not one to overreact. yes, there will be arguments on whether he’s being taken advantage of by the agency (he is) and he’ll assert that he doesn’t care, because it isn’t about him anyway.

he doesn’t really see the reason for receiving gifts, because he isn’t materialistic in the slightest. he’d rather you give him your all and your love than a tangible gift, but he won’t refuse anything

he’s incredibly honest, but will sometimes downplay his physical pain so that you don’t worry about him

(i hate when people only characterize him in relation to his family and how he has a heightened sense of honor, because that’s only a part of who he is. he’s not honest or heroic just because of his family, he does it because it’s the right thing to do. by making honor his only personality trait, you’re kind of playing into a false stereotype, and i’m not gonna call you what i want to call you, just know that your bad writing in your simplification of the culture as a whole is genuinely annoying to me in that aspect)

i have a draft on this waiting for me to work on it, but sure i’ll give you something

quiet moments with tenya are comfortable. 

sitting under a blanket together on the couch while he types away at his laptop

the look on his face when you take the first bite of dinner together, and he was nervous to try the new recipe, but you were sure it’d be okay

how he always, always, waits for you to finish eating before he gets up to start cleaning up dinner

(he’ll compliment your cooking even if you think it turned out awful)

(even if it did, he doesn’t know how to use a potato peeler, so he can’t really say much in that department)

the quiet moments of intimacy where he hands you a jar of spices that comes next on the recipe

or where he tucks your hair behind your ear

or bends down to tire your shoe for you

R - Rainy Day (What are they like in the rain?)

he holds the umbrella with his left hand and your hand in his right

makes sure you don’t get wet, and tries not to let his glasses get wet

tenya would kiss you in the rain, but under the eave of a building or an overhang where he can do it the right way.

S - Sad (How do they handle their sadness? How do they react to yours?)

he handles his sadness by writing in a journal or he likes reading books from his younger days to make him feel better

he bottles his emotions, but not because he wants to, he just accidentally neglects his emotions because he’s too busy with other things

i think he would talk to you about it if you asked, but he wouldn’t bring up his emotions 

if it was you?

he would react very kindly to your sadness, and he would try to be as comforting as possible without forcing you to talk about it

but of course he’d listen if you wanted to, and offer his support and advice if you wanted it

he would drop everything for you, putting his pen down the moment he sees your eyes brimming with tears

and he’d pull you to his chest and whisper words of adoration and hold you until you feel better <3

T - Time (How long did it take for you to get together?)

maybe like three months to start dating while the two of you were at UA, just because he wanted to make sure you were interested in him before he came on too strong 

he would ask you to be his sparring partner just so that he could compliment you <3 

he’d let you win that day, but would NEVER admit that regardless of how long you’ve been together/married

he just says that you bested him that day, so he’s been the best for you ever since

i can either go super angsty with this one or just go normal

he learned when he was young because his parents insisted it would make him more well-rounded, but he quit taking lessons early on and just taught himself from then on

he likes the predictability of music, and how really it’s just a pattern if you think about it, it’s just where to and where not to play

V - Value (What are some of the things they value most in life? value most about you?)

he values respect, integrity, and dedication. 

he cares that you respect him and everything he works for, but encourages you to let him know if you ever notice a hint of self-interest in his hero work

he doesn’t want to ever become a corrupt hero and lost his integrity

he values your honesty and your ability to make everything more fun

he finds fun in quiet, intimate moments, but he loves how you still find him in the loud, chaotic moments, and make sure he’s okay.

he also values the fact that you’re so understanding of how important hero work is to him, and how he has to put his life on the line.

you know that he has to stay at the agency or on patrol late sometimes, but you’d never ask him to stop, because you know he wouldn’t be able to live with himself if someone was left unprotected because he was home

at ua, he’s not really affectionate with hugs and kisses yet

he’ll show affection by patiently going over that stubborn math problem again and not getting upset when you ask him to repeat the formula again

or he’ll remember to ask you about the plotline in the book you’re reading or how your favorite show is going

and he’ll offer to buy your lunch or bring you a special snack from his secret supply in his room :)

as your relationship progresses, he’s more physically affectionate behind closed doors, but it’s not a common thing and he isn’t clingy about it 

when you’re married, he’s also affectionate in other ways, like he’ll do meal prep for you to make dinner easier for you to make, because he knows it’s hard to wait for him to get home and eat so late

or he’ll do that laundry you’ve been too busy to get to

he’ll go all out every once in a while, but he knows making life a little easier and a little sweeter sometimes sticks with you 

Y - Yearn (How do they deal with yearning?)

he didn’t yearn for you for long at UA, because he just... realized he had a crush and then decided to pursue you, but i’m sure it was hard to get over the initial “oh, shoot” of realizing he has a crush when he’s at UA to become the best hero he can be

he feels his love for you more intensely than he’s ever felt love before, and he’s not exactly sure what to do with your name constantly plaguing his mind. 

i think he’d work a little harder in school and in training because he wants so badly to have a good, long life with you, and for everything to be perfect

he’ll get what he wants, because he works hard for it, and you’re willing to support his dreams

Z - Zen (What makes them calm?)

quiet evenings, quilts, candles, cooking together, soft music playing in the backgroud, looking at photos from your wedding, daydreaming about your future together, reading, and coming home to you after a long day.

Yuta: ‘Gochin, Kenken! I’ll release the shutter button, so listen properly, okay?’

ーShutter button noise.ー

Yuta: ‘How was it!? Doesn’t it make a super professional tone? Look, look.’ 

Goshi: ‘Oi, Ashu. Until when are you going to do that? It’s already the third day in a row.’ 

Kento: ‘I think it’s a freebie from a quiz program? Shall I return it?’

Yuta: ‘No way! I worked so hard for the buzz-to-answer quiz!!’ 

Goshi: ‘Then take care of it in the closet.’ 

Yuta: ‘Geez~! Why do you say such a mean thing, Gochin.’ 

Goshi: ‘That’s because the camera is all you are talking about, whether you’re sleeping or are awake.’ 

Yuta: ‘I mean, you know, this little one isn’t an ordinary camera?’ 

Yuta: ‘It’s hard to get your hands on a professional waterproof single-lens reflex (SLR) camera after all!’ 

Kento: ‘Well, it’s not a camera that an amateur can handle casually, is it? So, can you master it, Yuta?’ 

Yuta: ‘Of course, perfectly~.... It's not how it is, but I feel like by playing around with it I get a hang of it.’ 

Yuta: ‘Here, look! The neighbourhood’s cat! It was taken by a beautiful woman, right?’ 

Kento: ‘Hee. Well, it seems that it can be taken as it is.’ 

Kento: ‘...... Eh, what’s this? These are all cats?’ 

Yuta (blushing): ‘Yeah, when I followed this cat a lot of its friends came, so I took a photo of them together. Each one of them is so cute~.’ 

Yuta: ‘This time I want to try taking pictures of people, not just cats. And try the waterproof function! You can take a photo shoot anywhere in the sea or in the pool. Because when Gochin or Kenken are swimming all coolly the camera will capture you perfectly, leave it to me as your cameraman!’ 

Goshi: ‘Leave it to me, you say….. There’s no such opportunity to go to the sea.’ 

Yuta: ‘Then creating one should be fine! When was our next holiday again!?’

Goshi: ‘Hmpf…. I won’t go. Go alone if you want to go.’ 

Yuta: ‘Eeh, there’s no meaning to it then!’ 

Goshi: ‘Who knows. Anyways, I’m thirsty. Ashu, give me the coke.’ 

Yuta (upset): ‘Geez…. Here you are.’ 

Goshi (smiles): ‘Thanks.’ 

Goshi: ‘.....Hm?’ 

ーFizzling noise.ー

Goshi: ‘Uwaah!? Shit, why’s the coke bursting out!?’ 

Yuta: ‘All right, here’s my chance!’ 

Goshi: ‘Oi, now’s not the time for taking pictures!’ 

Yuta: ‘Gochin, you’re making a good face~! Look, we can shoot such incidents perfectly as well. It’s good to have a camera, right?’ 

Kento: ‘Goshi covered in coke….. Haha….. No, not good, he might get mad about it…..’ 

Goshi: ‘You too, don’t laugh!’

Goshi: ‘And you, Ashu!! You set up this coke, didn’t you?’ 

Yuta (shocked): ‘W-What do you mean…..? I know nothing?’

Goshi: ‘Don’t play dumb, it’s obvious.’ 

Yuta: ‘Waah, Gochin’s mad! Let’s escape~!’

Goshi: ‘Ashu! Don’t run away!’ 

Yuta: ‘Hiiee~!!’ 

Yuta: ‘Oh, right! I had an appointment with Ryu-chan! I’m going now!’ 

Goshi: ‘Shit….’ 

Kento: ‘Hehe…..’ 

Goshi: ‘And until when do you want to laugh? Geez, Ashu, that guy…..’

ーKTKR’s apartment.ー

Yuta: ‘That was really close! Only a bit more and I would have been caught by Gochin.’ 

Ryuji (sighs): ‘And that’s why you suddenly came to our place. But it’s given that Goshi is angry when he’s covered in coke.’ 

Yuta (smiles): ‘I didn’t think it would splash so beautifully on him.’ 

Yuta: ‘Gochin has the talent to get caught in mischief.’ 

Tsubasa: ‘I don’t know if you can say that it’s a talent, but…..’ 

Ryuji (smiles): ‘Well, if you ask me, you do see it a lot that he’s caught up in Yuta’s pranks.’ 

Yuta: ‘Right? I wonder if Gochin’s still mad ~.’

Yuta: ‘Hey, hey, do you think he’ll forgive me if I apologize and invite him to go to the sea?’

Ryuji: ‘Why the sea though.’ 

Yuta: ‘I mean anyone wants to go to the sea in Summer, right? Gochin must be wanting to go as well!’ 

Ryuji: ‘I don’t really think so……’ 

Yuta: ‘Eh….. Then, the river?’ 

Ryuji: ‘The place isn’t the problem. You don’t have the time for it in the first place, do you?’ 

Yuta: ‘Hmm….. That’s true, we actually don’t.’ 

Yuta (sigh): ‘Mmh, even though I got such a good camera I can’t make the most of its use, that’s such a waste.

Yuta: ‘Oh yeah, Tsubasa-chan, do we have work scheduled to go to a sea or a river in the future?’

Tsubasa: ‘I am sorry, at the moment….’ 

Yuta (sad): ‘I see…. It’s a waterproof camera after all. I wanted to take a photo that looks like “waves, splashes of water and Summer!”.’ 

Tsubasa: ‘I understand…..’ 

Tsubasa: ‘But I think carrying a camera with you has no harm because you don’t know when a special moment occurs.’

Yuta (smiles): ‘A special moment huh…..’ 

Yuta: ‘Yeah, it’s just as Tsubasa-chan says! I’ll carry the camera around so that I can take a photo at any time!’ 

Ryuji: ‘Which meansーー’

Yuta (excited): ‘Ah, right! It was the first time Ryu-chan and the others have seen this camera, wasn’t it? This one here is really amazing! It also has a long-running time and is fine even 15m into the water. The camera shoots beautifully in dark places too and its consecutive shooting consists of 15 shots per secondーー’

Ryuji: ‘Stop!’ 

Yuta (shocked): ‘Eh?’ 

Ryuji: ‘Listen, Yuta. Why do you think Tsubasa is here at our place?’ 

Yuta: ‘Why….. Ah! Sorry, sorry! Now that I think about it, it was about work.’ 

Yuta: ‘It was a sunscreen commercial with Massu, if I’m not wrong? Please don’t feel bothered by me and continue talking. I will wait here for ten minutes!’ 

Ryuji: ‘So, you mean we should end this talk in ten minutes?’

Tsubasa: ‘Fufu, we will do our best.’ 

Yuta: ‘Ehehe, thanks, Tsubasa-chan ♪.’ 

Ryuji: ‘Wait a minute, Tsubasa, aren’t you lenient toward Yuta?’ 

Yuta: ‘It’s okay for Ryu-chan to be toward me as well, you know?’

Ryuji: ‘Haa….. Anyways, could you stay quiet for ten minutes.’

Yuta: ‘Yeーs!’

ーAnother day.ー

Tsubasa: ‘Thank you for the photo shoot, Yuta-kun.’ 

Yuta: ‘Likewise, Tsubasa-chan!’ 

Yuta: ‘I’m sorry to have kept you waiting. Without thinking I kept talking with the cameraman.’ 

Tsubasa: ‘We still have time, so it’s fine. More importantly, what is the matter?’ 

Yuta: ‘Mmh, I was just taught a way to take photos. Until now, I shot everything in auto mode, but after all the trouble I want to try various things out.’

Yuta (blushes): ‘It’s interesting how completely different the feeling of taking a picture is just by changing the settings a bit, like the exposure* or aperture**…… It’s difficult to remember them, but I want to try studying the settings more ♪.’ 

Tsubasa: ‘This sounds quite professional…..! I’m also looking forward to what kind of photos Yuta-kun will take from now on.’

Yuta: ‘Ehehe, thanks! When I can take a photo I’m content with then I also want to take one of Tsubasaーー’

Yuta: ‘......Hm? Wasn’t there a raindrop just now?’ ___

Yuta: ‘Waah, a rain shower!? Tsubasa-chan, let’s go somewhere with a roof!’ 

Tsubasa: ‘Y-Yes!’ ___

Yuta: ‘Phew….. Good thing that we were able to find a place to take shelter from the rain. Are you alright, Tsubasa-chan? Aren’t you cold?’ 

Tsubasa: ‘Thank you for asking. I got a little bit, but I’m fine. Shall we take shelter here for some time until the shower abates?’ 

Yuta: ‘Let’s do so. It was so sunny a moment ago that the rain startled me.’ 

Yuta (smiles): ‘Yet….. Sudden rain is a little exciting, isn’t it? How do I say, it’s like a drama seriesーー’

Tsubasa: ‘Yuta-kun? ….. Is something wrong?’

Yuta: ‘The cameraman taught me that when we talked. He said that when shooting moving objects it’s best to increase the shutter speed.’ 

Yuta (excited): ‘Such a glittering feeling….. I want to try shooting more!’

Tsubasa: ‘P-Please wait. Yuta-kun, you will get wet.’ 

Yuta: ‘This much is fine! Since it’s waterproof, it won’t break even if it gets wet ♪.’ 

Tsubasa: ‘It’s not about the camera, if Yuta-kun gets wet it will be troublesーー’ 

Yuta (blushes): ‘Ehehe~, I’m so glad I carried the camera with me!’ 

Yuta: ‘It’s like Tsubasa-chan said. Thanks!’ 

Tsubasa: ‘Ah…..’

Yuta: ‘I’ll shoot over here for a bit. And Tsubasa-chan waits there!’

Tsubasa: ‘Y-Yuta-kun…..!’

Astrology basics masterpost

Okay first off, the natal chart is a “snap shot” of the sky when you were born with the earth in the middle. There are 4 compounds that birth charts are made of:

1. The signs

You’ve definitely already heard of zodiac signs. In astrology, the sky is divided into 12 equal parts, each reserved for a sign starting at Aries and ending at Pisces. It goes like this: Aries ♈️, Taurus ♉️, Gemini ♊️, Cancer ♋️, Leo ♌️, Virgo ♍️, Libra ♎️, Scorpio ♏️, Sagittarius ♐️, Capricorn ♑️, Aquarius ♒️, Pisces ♓️

Basically, each sign is associated with certain character traits (which range many more than I or any singular source could encompass in short, I left a few links for gathering information in the end of this post). But it always depends on how evolved the person is. Aquarians CAN be detached if not evolved, but also have many more qualities such as their modality and element (which imply traits such as their innovative nature, intellect, hunger for knowledge, empathy, sociability,...)

So basically there are 4 elements (fire, earth, air and water) in astrology and 3 modalities (cardinal, fixed, mutable) which all carry certain meanings to them. Those elements and modalities are evenly distributed within the zodiac and move along the signs in the order I wrote them up above. So we start with cardinal fire (Aries), then we follow up with fixed earth (Taurus), after that we’ve got mutable air (Gemini), then again a cardinal sign but this time belonging to the water signs (Cancer), and so on. Additionally, all earth and water signs are of negative polarity while fire and air are of positive polarity.

The signs are the outermost circle you see when looking at your birth/natal chart. (On the left, where the arrow points, for instance, was Virgo ♍️ when & where you were born) They represent the way that you express a certain core part (3rd point) of yourself.

2. The houses

The numbers you see around the innermost circle with the lines in it are the houses. Each house is ruled by a sign in modern astrology: Aries is the first sign, so it rules the first house,...). This means that each house is afflicted with one sign and its qualities and traits.

Each house represents an area of life: The 4th house—ruled by Cancer—represents the home, comfort zone, where we crave for stability and emotional support as well as a lot more.

The angular houses ruled by cardinal signs, so: the 1st house (ascendant/rising), the 4th house (ic/ Imum Coeli), the 7th house (descendant), the 10th house (mc/midheaven) show in the picture you sent me with arrows and have a special significance in the chart + also have aspects (4th point) to them shown.

The first 6 houses are afflicted most with yourself and the last 6 houses have to do with your social/public self (e.g.: 2nd house has to do with resources and the 8th with shares resources). This can also be applied to each sign ruling the house.

3. The celestial bodies

When somebody asks what your zodiac sign is, you would answer with Capricorn, when in actuality, it’s just your sun sign (so one of many zodiac signs in your chart).

Each celestial body represents a core part of the human psyche/personality and also rules a/two sign(s) and with that a/two house(s). Another terminology for rulership can be domicile (e.g.: Saturn is in domicile in Capricorn).

Every planet is afflicted with the signs (and houses) in the form of essential dignity (whether in terms of exaltation/fall or detriment/domicile)

The sun rules Leo and the 5th house. These connections are made as to better understand each house/sign/planet and clarify/stress the connections between these three “compounds”. So, ruling Leo and the 5th house, the sun represents how we express ourselves and how we perform along with our egos, overall sense of identity and self-awareness among other things.

Before you say that you (know people who) don’t relate to their zodiac sign or don’t seem to present yourself/themselves like that at all: a placement (celestial body in a sign in a house) always depends on the aspects and also the house that nobody talks about. You’re not only a Capricorn, but a Capricorn sun in the 4th house conjunct Mercury,... (+ other aspects). Your sun in the 12th/7th/8th houses (houses, among others, afflicted with the subconscious) can mean that your way to express yourself is more in the background or not quite figured out yet. (With Leo in the 12th house that may also apply to you:) In the case of the 12th house, you may want to express yourself, but don’t exactly know how to...

Also, all of your chart matters! The sun sign is only a part of it, though one of the 3 most important placements (sun, moon, rising).

For the following paragraph keep in mind: personal/inner celestial bodies/planets (houses and signs matter equally), generational/outer planets/placements (houses matter most because they move slowly along the zodiac. the slower they move, the less the sign matters.)

The celestial bodies used in astrology aren’t limited to a certain amount as asteroids can also be interpreted/also have meanings but the most commonly used and talked about are: the sun, the moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars (Nodes, Vertex — aren’t celestial bodies but fall into the “sign & house are important” category and are a tool that function/are illustrated like celestial bodies), Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto (Chiron, black moon Lilith)

You can see each celestial body’s name listed with its symbol in the bottom right corner of the screenshot you sent me and can then look at the circle between the signs and house numbers for where they are placed.

Lastly, planets are afflicted with each other as well since generational planets can be higher octaves of personal planets, and “get along” or don’t “get along” just like the signs, whose compatibility is determined by...

4. The aspects

The expression of every planet depends on these! Aspects show the relationship between two placements and how they connect into one whole personality (Additional information about humans in general: our personality integrates at around the ages of 7 to 9. Before that, we have different needs and wants but not one integrated personality that is made of interwoven traits, qualities,...). They point out how many degrees two or more placements are away from each other (e.g. 180deg = opposition). So when you look at your own chart, you can see that Virgo ♍️ and Pisces ♓️ are in opposition to each other. This also means that people born during Pisces season and people born during Virgo season celebrate their birthdays approximately 6 months apart from each other (because the sun needs a year to transit through the signs).

There are major and minor aspects. Major aspects are usually displayed in the innermost space of the circle using different colored lines and are an umbrella term for: the opposition, the square, the conjunction, the trine and the sextile. Minor aspects are usually listed in extended chart selection options (semi-sextiles, quincunxes, quintiles,...)

Those are then divided into hard/challenging (square, opposition,...), neutral (conjunction,...) and soft/harmonious (trine, sextile,...) aspects. Example: your Sagittarius Mercury (communication, (early) education, rationality, speech, day-to-day expression, perfectionism/detail-orientation,...) in the 4th in a trine (same element, a “flow of energy”) with your Aries moon (emotions, empathy, feelings of security, nurture, comfort,...) in the 8th can indicate potential for the verbal expression of your emotions. You may let your emotions out by talking to people who you live with or your immediate family. Moreover, you could have a desire to write about your emotions in a philosophical/educational way to make others think, but decide to keep your writing to yourself or your closest circle nonetheless. One could chat about an aspect for sooo long just because there are so many things associated with the houses, signs, aspects and celestial bodies. There are so many different angles to take and you’re never done learning about astrology.

Whenever you ask somebody what sign is most compatible with yours, you’d look at the aspects between your sign and other signs to determine if your placements are in a harmonious relationship with each other, though synastry (astrology of compatibility between two birth chart) is much more complex then that.

Lastly, aspects don’t go specifically with one sign/house/celestial body, and some placements can also be unaspected. There are also things such as retrogrades, chart shapes, aspect patterns, dominant signs, persona charts, interceptions and much more but that would definitely go beyond the scope. Let me know if you’d like for me to make a post going in depth regarding those things.

How astrology on social media and day-to-day life has been altered to be regarded as something it is not:

The key is to view modern astrology less as a predictive tool or proof for assumption—because frankly it isn’t—but more as a tool to recognize psychological patterns and behavioral tendencies, which ultimately are what astrology illustrates through elements in the sky. Submission Prompt: Hello…I just thought of this prompt and love the way you write. Will is an elementary school teacher as a side job and his classroom habits slip out while talking to Nico and the others. Like when they go out in a group, Will is like: ‘Okay now everyone hold your buddy’s hand.’

A/N: I’m going to tweak the prompt a bit since like, elementary school teacher is not a side job LOL. So now we have a mortal AU with teacher!Will, grad student!Nico (not that it matters), and they’re hanging a mix of friends (I always do Cecil and Lou Ellen so I’ll try to mix it up more haha). (YO I’VE HAD HALF OF THIS WRITTEN FOR AT LEAST A YEAR SORRY)

“Bye, Mr. Solace!”

Will enthusiastically waved goodbye, his last student filing out of his classroom. Man, second graders were really just adorable. Also, very messy. Will turned his gaze upon the desks covered in glitter and paper scraps and sighed. Nico did tell him that this particular art project was a bad idea, but how else was Will going to teach the kids about the states in the US if they couldn’t cut them out and color them?

Will began the arduous process of cleaning up, humming lightly to himself. He had to actually get his gum scraper (yes, he always had it on hand even if gum was not allowed in school) to get glue off the desks. After vacuuming as much glitter out of the carpet as possible, Will dusted himself off and headed to a faculty meeting.

He came back to his room to find his boyfriend wiping down his desks. He let out a noise of surprise, startling slightly in the middle of the doorway. Nico looked up, a slow smile spreading across his face as he stood up from where he was leaning over a desk.

“Hey, Sunshine,” he greeted. “I see you went ahead with the glitter.”

Will rolled his eyes but didn’t respond to the jab, electing to walk over and throw his arms around the dark-haired man. “What are you doing here?”

Will leaned back to see Nico’s face as he started speaking. “We’re going out, aren’t we?”

“It’s like 4:00! Isn’t it kind of early?” Will untangled himself from his boyfriend after giving him a quick peck on the cheek.

Nico shrugged. “Jason said I should just get you from school. You know how he’s like an old man now and he sleeps early.” They both laughed in agreement. Jason got some government job out of college that fit his regiment of rising early and hitting the ground running. While he used to be able to hang with everyone late into the night, starting his career flipped his “adult switch” and he became “less fun,” in Leo’s words. Piper doesn’t mind much since Jason’s routine has helped steady her often turbulent schedule. She had started a small fashion company in college that really took off in the past year, meaning she had meeting after meeting with various people and often had no consistency between her workdays. Jason and Piper’s daily lives were drastically different, but they did good to balance each other out and keep each other grounded.

“Did Leo say he was coming?” Will asked as he began putting things away and shutting his windows.

“Yeah, I think so. And he’s bringing Calypso too.” Leo’s small mechanic shop had a few loyal customers, which was enough to make Leo content with his life. Then, as he tells it, a beautiful goddess waltzed into his garage covered in grease and dirt smudges, claiming to have broken down nearby and was in need of help. Leo said she gave him a decent rundown of what she found wrong with her car and was ecstatic to find that she was spot on. He was in love and, while it took a bit of charming and annoying, Leo convinced her to go out with him a few months ago.

“Oh, that’s good! I like her,” Will replied enthusiastically.

“I can’t believe she puts up with him,” Nico said in a flat voice.

“Don’t be so mean, Neeks,” the blonde said as they made their way out the door. “They’re good together and you know it. Besides, she teases Leo just as much as he does to everyone—“

“Probably why he’s whipped,” Nico cut in.

“Oh my gosh,” Will rolled his eyes as he grabbed Nico’s hand, swinging it between them.

They continued to talk and joke as they got into the car and drove downtown, where they were meeting their friends for dinner.

Once they parked and were getting out of the car, they heard a shout behind them. “Looks like the love birds finally made it!”

Nico rolled his eyes and replied without even turning around. “Don’t even talk, Pipes. You know you’re the queen of sappy romance.” Will could see the smirk on his boyfriend’s face as he rounded the car to stand next to him.

They turned in time to see the Piper’s offended expression as she strode up to them. “Excuse me,” she scoffed. “How dare you make such an accusation against me when we all know Jason is the mushiest one and he’s standing right here.”

The aforementioned blonde only sighed exasperatedly, knowing he never wins this argument. Then, a shameless grin grew on his face as he snaked his arm around his girlfriend’s waist, tugging her toward him. He shoved his nose in her face and crooned, “And don’t you forget it.”

“Woah, Jason, where’s my loving embrace?” an indignant voice cried out to their right. Will turned to see Leo walking hand-in-hand with a beautiful girl, her caramel-colored hair blowing back lightly in the breeze. Her cheeks were tinted pink as she giggled, watching her ridiculous boyfriend ramble on about being Jason’s first love and how no one cared about him around here.

Jason, ever the gentleman, immediately turned to Calypso to introduce himself, prompting everyone else to do the same.

“Leo’s told us a lot about you,” Will said politely. “It’s wonderful to finally meet you.”

“I’m glad to be here,” she said good-naturedly. “Leo’s told me many stories about you all, though I feel like they were a bit… embellished. I know for a fact that he isn’t a smooth, suave hero at all times.” She shot Leo a look that caused his cheeks to darken, even as he placed a hand on his chest in mock exaggeration. Nico was right—he was whipped.

“Oh, don’t worry. We have an endless list of embarrassing things Leo has done. We’ll fill in the gaps he probably left out,” Nico cut in. In all honesty, getting back at Leo for anything and everything he’s ever done to him was probably what he had looked forward to most about this dinner. Will couldn’t hold him back if he tried.

Before things could escalate any further, Will gestured toward the road. “Let’s head toward the restaurant before we spend the whole evening insulting each other in a parking lot. I like to have food with my entertainment.” He winked at Calypso, who laughed as she nodded in agreement.

The group mingled together, conversing loudly as they made their way toward the edge of the lot. Nico had clearly considered jaywalking across the street to the restaurant, but one stern look from his boyfriend had him pivoting to the nearest crosswalk.

Will pressed the crossing button and turned toward the group as they waited. They all continued chatting, not really paying attention to where they were going. He glanced at the crossing sign, hoping everyone could at least look forward when they stepped into the street.

When the sign lit up and his friends hadn’t moved, he spoke up on instinct. “Everyone, grab your buddy’s hand; we’re crossing the street!”

The chatter stopped, and Will blinked as all eyes stared back at him. “Um…” He glanced again at the sign, which was now counting down their seconds. Technically, you weren’t supposed to enter the road at this point, but the timer was still high. However, none of his friends seemed poised to move, so maybe he’d have to hold them back before they ended up sprinting across the street. “Are we—?”

A loud snort to his right cut him off. Will turned his head to see Nico doubled over in laughter. “You—” he tried to start, but he couldn’t hold his laughter in long enough to even form two words.

Soon enough, the others started laughing too—Leo and Piper, rather loudly, and Jason and Calypso, a bit more politely, the latter holding a hand over her mouth as her shoulders shook. Will continued to look confused, part of his mind still preoccupied with the light they were missing.

He replayed the last few minutes in his head, then promptly turned red as he groaned. His friends only laughed harder when he buried his head in his hands.

“I just want to cross the street,” he lamented through his fingers.

“But, Mr. Will,” Leo exclaimed. “You forgot to tell us to look both ways first!” He had tears gathering in the corners of his eyes from how much he was laughing. Honestly, Will thought they were all overreacting.

“Oh, come on! It wasn’t even that funny!” he cried.

“Will,” Jason started, in a consoling tone that the teacher did not think was warranted in this situation. “You didn’t hear it like we did.”

“You used your teacher voice!” Nico finally caught his breath enough to speak, though Will kind of wishes he hadn’t. “It was all high and cheery and—” He wiggled his fingers in an effort to express Will’s tone.

The blonde man turned back to see the light had changed, the red hand now mocking him and preventing him from leaving this conversation.

“You’re a teacher?” Will found Calypso looking at him with genuine curiosity in her eyes as the other four calmed down from their fits of laughter.

“Yes,” he sighed heavily. “And we had a field trip the other day. And I came straight from the classroom today.” He gazed at the others around him. “I guess I forgot I wasn’t dealing with second graders.”

Calypso carried on over the noises of indignation from the others. “Aw, second graders, how cute! Tell me about it!” Bless her, this saint of a woman, engaging in conversation and pushing Will’s slip-up away. It was a kind gesture and Will ran with it.

He quite literally turned his back on the others as he described what his day of geography and glitter was like to the woman.

In the next minute, when the light changed and the crossing sign lit up once more, he felt a hand slip into his. Nico was staring up at him, a grin on his face. “I call you as my crossing buddy.”

Will rolled his eyes. “Yeah yeah.” He looked to his other side to see the other couples also holding hands and smiling at him. The teacher rolled his eyes again and, before he stepped off the curb, brightly called out, “Look both ways first, kids!”

(Okay, with that, today's schedule for a house call is over.)

My full-time pharmacist work had recently been extended to the whole town.

While I was on my way to Morinaga-san's house----

Traveling merchant: "Come on! What's that guy's name again? The legendary guy, who carried a sacred sword to defeat Taira no Masakado.....Ah! Adachi Morinaga! Yeah, him."

Yoshino(blushing): "Ah....."

(The story about the mighty and the fearless warrior is still popular even now.)

Morinaga-san's exploits on the battlefield, censoring out the parts that no one should know, nowadays, is passed down throughout the town as a military memorial story.

(I'm sure that people will not believe what actually happened that night, even if it was real.)

Town girl 1: "Morinaga-sama is becoming more and more popular...how cool!!!"

Town girl 2: "But what's the use? He won't agree to go out with us, anyway."

Town girl 3: "I heard he's got a girlfriend. I've heard some of my friends talking about that 'secret girl."

Feeling a little happy, I started to walk in high spirits when-----

???: "Yoshino. Yoshino..."

I stopped in my tracks when I heard a soft voice calling my name.

A tall figure, wearing a hat, was hiding in the shadows of a building. He slightly raised his hat to show his face.

I reply back in a hushed voice.

Morinaga: "I came to the town for some business, but it's slightly embarrassing to hear my heroic story everywhere I go. I was trying to sneak my way out and then I saw you."

As we finished talking, we both tried to leave quickly, but----

Town girl 1: "Huh!? Isn't that Morinaga-sama?"

Morinaga-san slowly nods his head while the people of the town gathered, throwing their requests one by one.

Everyone gulped eagerly waiting for Morinaga-san's reply.

Morinaga: "-----That I can run faster than anyone here."

As and when he completed his sentence, Morinaga-san started running quickly while holding me.

Townspeople: "Catch him!!"

Morinaga: "Thirty-six versus one, so what are the odds of winning?"

(My body is shaking!!)

I hurriedly clung to Morinaga-san's neck.

Morinaga: "Good girl, keep holding onto me like that."

Just then, the cart in front of us tripped over a ditch in the road...

The logs that had been piled up fell and rolled towards us.

Yoshino: "Oh God!"

Morinaga: "All is well."

Morinaga-san dodged the log like a beast predicting it beforehand.

The owner of the cart shouted in panic.

Merchant: "Sorry!!"

Morinaga: "I'm fine. Be careful."

We vanished like the wind before he could even pronounce his name.

The people who were supposed to be following us were blocked by logs and carts and thus could not follow us.

After that, we kept dodging the people we meet and finally----

Morinaga: "Phew, another lucky day."

Yoshino: "That was a mess."

Morinaga-san finally came to a halt when he reached a deserted area.

Morinaga: "Yeah? Wasn't that fun?"

Yoshino: ".....I admit that I enjoyed the log part."

Morinaga: "I know! That was crazy for me, too."

It's strange how trivial things like that become so important when I look at your sparkling smile.

Yoshino(blushing): "But it was pretty embarrassing too."

Morinaga: "I felt the same too. But, also, I really wanted to run away with you."

Morinaga: "Forgive me."

As he held me, he stroked my head and my body flushed from just that touch.

As and when I was relieved by that answer...

He casually brushes my hair like he always does, but somehow I was the one being more restless of his touch.

Yasuchika: “------Then, if I say, I’m in love with you, will you believe me?”

Yoshino: “Ah....”

I hold my breath when I realized he closed up the distance between us.

Yoshino(blushing): “Yasuchika-san?”

When I looked at him in confusion, Yasuchika-san gently stroked my hair.

I found myself staring at the beautiful purple eyes that had a slightly different light to them.

Yasuchika: “Did you know? How all your emotions show up on your face. And yet you’re not only innocent but also cunning and strong. You’re really fascinating.”

I saw his neat face slowly approaching------

Morinaga: “I’m troubled by the fact that you’ve been flirting with Yoshino, just when you knew I was on my way here. Yoshino, did he do anything weird?”

Yasuchika: “I just felt sorry for Yoshino, who was worrying about something she didn’t need to worry about.”

Morinaga: “......!”

Yasuchika: “Since, you know, Mori-san was ‘busy’, I told her that lot of other guys will find Yoshino attractive, and Mori-san is the one going to be having a hard time.”

After closing the sliding doors, Yasuchika steps into the corridor.

Yasuchika: “Make sure you take care of her, Mori-san. I couldn’t make her happy....so I’m asking you.”

There was no one to see the sorrowful look in Yasuchika’s eyes when he said those words....

After Yasuchika-san left------

We changed into our nightwear and decided to relax before sleeping....

Morinaga: “What did you guys talk about?”

Yoshino: “Well, he was just passing by, so I called him. It was strange, Yasuchika-san was acting a little weird.”

Morinaga: “Are you curious as to why?”

(Hm?)

Suddenly Morinaga-san pulled me towards him.

Morinaga: “As far as I’m concerned, I’m the only one you need to worry about.”

Yoshino: “Huh?.....Mmm...”

He started to forcibly kiss me and his tongue quickly moves in.

Yoshino: ”Hmmm.....ahhh....”

It was much different than the one he gave me in the town, today. It’s more painful now.

I felt his tongue tracing the sensitive areas of my mouth, and I felt myself stop resisting.

(Ahh...no there...)

He quickly supports my hips with one hand and my head naturally looked upward.

Then, our bodies were on top of each other, and our heads kept changing the angle.....

Yoshino: “Ohh....Mori...naga....san....”

Morinaga: “......Mm.”

As he let goes of my lips, I was already out of breath.

Yoshino: “What’s this...so suddenly....?”

Morinaga: “It’s not so suddenly...”

Yoshino: “Eh?”

Morinaga: “I was impatient all this time because I wasn’t able to touch you all day. Still, I tried to be kind by acting all matured, but....thanks to Yasuchika-dono, my male instincts have been ignited.

(Are you maybe, jealous...?)

I was surprised by the sudden intimate gesture, but after finding out that he’s jealous, my heart was jumping with joy.

Yoshino: “But, I’m sure that’s not what Yasuchika-san meant.”

Morinaga: “Might be, but you don’t have to know.”

Morinaga-san softly whispered to me as if it was a secret.

Morinaga: “I never knew love could be so painful. It’s hard to breathe, ....and yet I can’t help but keep kissing you. I can’t keep the act of a big brother anymore....even if I’m like this, will you still be with me?”

Yoshino: “....Of course. I thought I was the only one who was drowning in you for so long. But I’m so happy, you feel the same way.”
