Looking at that exchange in episode 25 line by line: Touga: 随分飛ばすんですね。 The subject of this sentence is elided, which is what's leading to the discrepancies around we vs. you. The verb, "tobasu", is literally "to make something fly" or "to send something flying", but can also refer to driving a vehicle fast, or moving fast through things. The object is also elided, the literal meaning is clearly the car but there could also be room for innuendo here.

I was reminded that I 'd wanted to draw Randy with the babies--including babby Lav--in his turtleneck collar. So I did!

Rosie doesn't get to now, but she may not ever outgrow it. XD

I got the idea to try designing a Mew based on my favorite Zelda enemy, the majestic Helmaroc King!

I ended up feeling mixed on the first and so far only attempt at it. I changed some things because I'm a huge stickler for keeping Mews in certain palette ranges. X3

For the fluff study I did a little bit ago, I once decided to turn on all the line arts while they were in the same spot on the canvas. The result is glorious~

@fierceawakening -- I think wrt the Ursula K. Le Guin quote, you might be getting hung up on some of her wording and missing what she's actually trying to convey?

The thing she's trying to get across is not "people shouldn't take joy in writing things other people have written before".

The thing she's trying to say is "it's really fucking annoying to be having a literary conversation where you are saying interesting things, and then to watch someone else get lauded for saying the most basic, baby-level version of those things because they've never taken part in your conversation."

Like, the example I'd give if I was talking about the phenomenon would be The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. (A book which I read and liked.)

In 2005, when The Book Thief came out, critics were salivating over it because it was a literary novel with Death as a Major Sympathetic Character. They thought it was fascinating that Death didn't quite understand humans but told their stories anyway! ..... and like, the thing is, is that they're not wrong? But also, SF/F authors had been using the conceit of The Grim Reaper As A Major (Sympathetic) Character since bare minimum the 'late 80s at that point, and many influential sf/f authors even characterized Death in a similar way.

I know you don't like Pratchett, but he'd been writing this stuff since the late 80s. Gaiman and Piers Anthony had been doing a similar schtick for a similar amount of time. They were already having a conversation about what Death might look like as a sympathetic major character. Some folks had more to add to that conversation than others (Anthony in particular wasn't saying anything particuarly mature about it...), but they were already having a conversation. And the critics mostly ignored that conversation, because it was happening in SF/F and therefore was intellectually bankrupt, right? RIGHT????

None of those authors could have or would have written The Book Thief, and that story deserves the critical acclaim it got. It's a damn good book. Parts of it will haunt me forever. ...But it deserved to get critical acclaim for how it added to the conversation. And at the time, critics were treating it like it was the start of the literary conversation of Death As A Major Sympathetic Character. It wasn't, by a long shot.

That's what she's complaining about. That's why she compares it to restaurant critics effusively praising buttered toast. It's not that people shouldn't be able to find innocent joy in writing Babby's First SF/F; it's that authors and critics who knee-jerk rejected SF/F were treating "literary" stories that were effectively Babby's First SF/F like they were starting brand new literary conversations, with the kind of innocent glee you'd expect from someone who'd just invented an entire genre.

She's salty and tired of having her work taken less seriously by people who don't know anything about the conversation folks in her field were already having.

Guess I wasn't completely done with family portraits, for here is house Clegane! Though this time I made it more difficult for myself and didn't just draw siblings, but also parents, and because I hate myself I also drew said siblings as kids... I had fun, tho! It was fun playing around with how much or little I wanted them to look like each other, and it was of course quite the challenge to "babify" the characters!

Oh well, first of course have Daddy and Mommy Clegane! We know very little about either, but I like to imagine they hate each other <3

Gregor I took great pleasure in giving freckles as freckles are adorable and Gregor is anything but! Also I wanted him to look around twelve as a kid, but he looks older... but that's fine, we know he was a huge preteen anyways!

The Piss-puppy himself, Sandor. I've drawn his scar on his right instead of his left as I usually do, as somebody (Sansa) is very confusing/inconsistent about what side it is! -_- Also babby Sandor is supposed to be around seven (again, looks too old, but Cleganes just grow quick, ok!) I was just gonna draw him post-burn, but then I was struck by the powerful urge to give him a bowl cut, which just wouldn't work well when bald on one side!

And then we have the sister, whose tooth was definitely knocked out by Gregor! She is supposed to be around five as a kid.

The sister is actually the reason I drew them as children as well as adults. All we know about the sister is that she died young under queer circumstances, which is rumored to be Gregor's fault. We don't even know where she lays age wise in the sibling order! But by dying young, I assume she probably died while under ten, but I originally didn't wanna draw kids, as I wanted to draw facial features and young children are just round-faced, button nosed blobs, so I just drew her as an adult! But then I decided I ought to challenge myself, and I drew babies!

If anybody somehow was bored enough to read my whole ramble, I'm sorry... as a bonus you can get to hear my headcanon names for the unnamed Cleganes!

and then like. meeting canon camila would change all that really really fast.

empress luz meeting her own timeline's camila is something i desperately want to write and it's also something that has less immediate emotional baggage. because princess AU timeline's camila was robbed of the chance to raise her daughter just like luz was robbed of the chance to be raised by her parents. the two of them are basically strangers to each other and very carefully learning each other for the first time. that's Very Different from meeting a camila who has a very long history and great relationship with her luz.

Age of the Dragon, even if it is a beast. Started out as a what if crossover, ended up being an epic adventure touching on colonialism, first contact, toxic organised religion, overcoming religious trauma, overcoming addiction, saving the world but at a cost, arriving in a new place and ending up overturning half their culture, how far are you willing to go to win, what salvation really looks like, redemption, freedom, and reuniting long-lost family. It gave me Cicero's Uncle and I love him very much. It gave Alistair his New Dog, and I love that very much too. XD

Wolf Queen Awakens - it just works. It just came together so easily, and I'm proud of it. The last scene still moves me to tears, it's like, yeah, Elisif, you did it. You saved the world. You won your throne. You avenged your husband. You got a new one. You're not a helpless figurehead any more and never will be again. And now you're Queen. You enjoy yourself, you earned this.

Prodigal Dragonborn - it is a fluffy romance between a lonely nerd who wasn't really expecting to find a partner, but was looking for an adventure and an amazing scientific discovery, and manages to come home with all three. I really liked writing Lucien. He's so sweet and lovable and definitely on the ace spectrum and probably autistic as well. Teasing out the backstory that Joseph Russell didn't put in and quite possibly didn't intend to be there was a lot of fun. "I'm the one using the library for its intended purpose and I'm the problem??" and "my amazing scientific discovery loves me back!" were the two most iconic lines, I think. Plus we also get Miraak with no memories looking for redemption and finding it in this scientist who will surely perish if not protected... and in the end, choosing love and forgiveness over wrath and retribution and realising his fate is not set in stone after all, and there doesn't have to be a divide between his real self and the part that loves Lucien. Also there's the cat. How can you not love Lucien's cat. That cat's practically a character in her own right. Lived in fear Joseph Russell would find out what I'd done with his boy and flip out when I started writing it, but by now I've largely realised I probably needn't have worried.

Unfated - crack turned serious. Silly Skyrim version of a silly DND webcomic, in which the Markarth Incident gets averted due to shenanigans but those shenanigans result in peace talks, an agreement, a wary truce between magic-phobic Stormcloaks fresh from a war that left them all traumatised and Reachfolk not sure how to treat the ones who were invading their country five minutes ago, and slowly the two cultures start merging as everyone involved starts to heal. And then the reaction comes, and consequences, and suddenly it all starts kicking off and then Teenage Cicero shows up. Soon followed by his now-Tranquil Uncle. It's got very intense, but I am enjoying picking this one up again. Also everyone's younger selves are proving a delight to write. Keirine newly First Matriarch and still unsure of herself. Madanach who never went to Cidhna Mine and has five young kids to look after. Farkas and Vilkas as teenagers. Uncle Cicero in his mid-forties. Custom follower Kaidan as a wee babby and his mum alive and I really love writing her too. Teeny tiny Leliana uprooted from Orlais and everything she's ever known. Delphine in her twenties and one Blade among many, serving alongside at least one who remembers what she was like before the war and will not put up with her crap. Elisif's parents! Tiny Vex of all people (people went nuts over Tiny Vex and she's only a bit character). MADANACH'S KIDS. Eola as a tiny baby who loves meat already and turned out to be the one to convince Ulfric to give in. And of course Ulfric Stormcloak, 29, war crimes averted, getting therapy, in a healthy relationship and healing. All the Stormcloaks, healing. Able to lay down their weapons, work with non-Nords and magic users at that, and live peacefully - mostly. It's an odd little universe but I love it.

And When the World Remembers - Dragon Age Inquisition, but the Herald of Andraste is stupidly OP and an ex-Dark Lord on the run, who falls face first out of Apocrypha and into his new cult and is absolutely delighted with his new Andrastian minions. And then he changes. Slowly he starts remembering how to be human again. Slowly he starts realising he actually likes these people. And then he meets this flamboyant necromancer from Tevinter who turns his life upside down before you can say 'future husband' and now there's two of them both trying to work through their issues and save the world and try to be good people while doing it. And then Miraak's past comes back to haunt him, and then Dragonborn Three arrives and he has not just a partner and an Inquisition... but siblings again. I fully intend to finish this one day, I swear it, but Unfated ran away with me.

okay i really need to go to bed so last question that is related: what are the sleeping headcanons !!! light/heavy sleeper, pre-sleep rituals/routines, insomnia, dreams, talking in sleep, etc. give me the cozy snuggly tea

(pre-sofia, (and post-her being a babbie) because of course a little Princess is gonna affect the sleeping vibes quite drastically, lmaooo)

God, a train could crash through their house, and Robert would sleep right through it. He is such a heavy sleeper, and it absolutely amazes Giselle. She timed him once on how long it took him to finally hear his alarm... thirty minutes !!!

The only sound that wakes that man up is his babies crying, he is very aware of when his daughters need him, and will always wake right up. Which surprised Giselle, but she was very thankful, because she's a very light sleeper, so she thought she'd be spending most nights either caring for Sofia herself, or pushing Robert until he finally woke up.

Giselle also struggles with falling asleep. Her mind is so active, and she can't ever seem to shut it off. She spends hours just lying in bed either staring at the ceiling, or watching Robert sleep. It's also not uncommon for her to wake him up and ask random questions that float through her head, or sometimes she'll do it just because she misses him and wants someone to talk to. Robert was very confused about this at first, and wasn't... thrilled about being woken up at 2AM just to be asked "why do you not like snow?" but now he's very used to it and will nod along with whatever it is she's saying. His eyes are usually closed, but he is listening !! It's also hard for her to go back to sleep once she's woken up, and she's usually up very early. She likes being awake at the crack of dawn for many reasons, but one is that she hopes if she's up earlier, and does several things throughout the day, she'll be tired and actually sleep later. It doesn't always work, but she keeps doing it anyway.

They also both can't sleep unless they're touching each other in some way. Usually they fall asleep facing each other, arms wrapped around the other, and their limbs are all tangled up. Even when they're fast asleep, they cling. I headcanon Giselle is a very warm (almost too warm at times) person, and during summer, Robert is struggling bc all she wants to do is cuddle, but she's too hot. And one summer, their AC broke, and Robert woke up drenched in sweat, and tried to get Giselle to stop clinging to him, but no matter how much he pushed her away, she'd just roll right back over and grab him. He ended up having to sleep on the couch that night bc it was just too hot ☹️ but he's used to her body heat now, and will suffer if he has to bc he doesn't like sleeping alone.

For Morgan, as a baby she hardly, if ever cried. She was so quiet, and it really surprised Robert bc he was fully expecting to deal with a ton of sleepless nights, and headaches. And there was some of that right after his divorce, but it didn't last long, thankfully. She was a pretty heavy sleeper, and still is, though not nearly as bad as Robert. I also headcanon that, if Morgan woke up in the middle of the night, instead of crying for his attention, she'd just stare at him. Robert woke up several times to her just 👁️👄👁️ through her crib, and he'd be like "God, Morgan... I am begging you, please start crying... I can't keep waking up to your big ol' eyes just staring at me."

Sofia, omg, Sofia as a baby was the complete opposite of Morgan. She was so loud, and every little sound would wake her up. She was also always wide awake at night, and slept through (most of) the day. Her being a night owl didn't surprise them, really, because she always kicked Giselle the most at night, but it didn't stop them from feeling overwhelmed. And the only way to get her to stop crying was to hold her. The second they'd put her back down, she'd start crying again. And they love holding their baby, of course, they never want to put her down, but it definitely effected their own sleep schedules. But, as Sofia grows up, she inherits Robert's heavy sleeping, and just like him, could sleep through a train crash. Giselle & Robert spend like ten/fifteen minutes waking her up for school, and she's always so grumpy in the morning.

Oh, and night routines !! Giselle started doing a nightly skincare routine, and begged Robert to join her. At first, he did it just to make her happy, but then he started to realize his skin looked amazing and he was like "wait... you're onto something with this skincare crap" and now they do a lil routine together every night. Giselle would 100% have a headband like this (x) or this (x), and Robert would have this one (x) because it's so silly & stupid and he certainly cannot just have a basic one, not on Giselle's watch !!

This is Nikhar

She is an Necromancer and the reason that Lilian/Lolita exists. Her heart is replaced with a Smoky Quartz (something I've enabled in my witch's)

Nikhar is my more 'Villian' style out of the collection. The more bored she is, the worse she is. Nikhar has a habit of lending out her Grimore/Tome to horrible people just for fun. If they can decifer the texts and create Hermonculie, animated corpses, or control a spirit, they will inevitably belong to her.

She is tied to both my Ghoul Lillian and to @the-slender-doll Babby Louis through lending her tome to Lilian's master who formed a cult in desperation to revive his wife. He used Lilian as a test subject, who came back as a ghoul and, in the end, devoured him.

Nikhar finds Lilian and Lois fasonating as corpses with free will and would like nothing more than to cut them up and experiment and study them.

I love the idea that June is smart enough at that age to understand what's happened and has enough sense of mind to try and warn her dad that his coffee was poisoned (probably not for the first time)...but she's not quite old enough to fully talk so he can't really understand what she's trying to tell him.

Also, the image of Tony just standing there, listening to his baby just babbling over and over and acting like he can understand her...but she's mostly just saying nonsense with the occasional "Mama" or "Daddy" thrown in, so he's just kind of reacting more to her tone than anything, sipping his coffee all the while.

And then I just imagine this literal toddler getting so frustrated and waddling away to just wait until the poison takes effect, and then find Paige to "complain" that her father didn't listen to her.

Depression Quest:

Lamb (she/they, mostly they)

poor babby beat down by the world and killed by the Bishops

gets the Red Crown and starts mowing them down with glee

they're a good leader, they're saving the Lands of the Old Faith from the Bishops, the Cult loves them

and it looks like The One Who Waits is as just as shitty as the others, can't have that, they are way better than he could ever be

so maybe they get a little too power happy and go a little too hard on the whole heroic leader thing

when he is conquered, TOWW is seen as nothing more than a trophy, a piece of property just like the Crowns surrounding his house

they act merciful, but Narinder knows it's just to make him submit, knows that they're just as power-hungry as he was

they let him run away because they'll always know where he is, and they want to see what happens/how long it takes before he crawls back to them

Narinder

finally gets revengeance on his family who threw him in jail, gets released from his prison just to get beat up and thrown into a gilded cage

he is depressed. he is angry. he has nothing left

I'm talking SI/HI, self-harm, screaming and breaking things, pushing Baal and Aym away, and crying on the floor breakdown shit

resists for a long time but eventually starts integrating into the Cult, only to get betrayed by a jealous follower

Narinder has a breakdown because he was stupid enough to think things would be better, so he runs away from the Cult

he encounters Ratoo and they bond over loss :'( but just like Ratoo, he never quite gets over things :(((((((

Ratoo might be the only person he'd call a friend/someone he trusts

addendum: narinder's third eye: he keeps it closed like in canon but technically he can open it, just really difficult and it fucking hurts to do it anyway

over time he gets a little strength to open it for short amounts of time but it still hurt

there's a few times when he gets angried or whatever when he accidentally attempts to open it and he goes OH FUCK OW and maybe it'll set his head straight

Depression Quest may have a bittersweet ending in which the Bishops return and were able to Get Over It™ in the Afterlife due to their actual support network, but I don't know tbh

I do know if they did return/if Narinder meets them again somehow, it'd just be like, sad, guarded, they'll reconcile but it's not the same kind of relationship deal

When I first came up with Depression Quest in September I was like, maybe Lamb is just protecting the baby and won't push him or anything because they love him and stuff

then as time passed I was like okay that's complete and utter bullshit and besides, Narinder is so consumed with his losses there is no way he could into a relationship in the near future. Sometimes people just can't move on :(

I also don't know how the Narinder/Ratoo friendshit even happened guys, it was just the idea of Narinder walking into Ratoo's heart pond and going "what the fuck are you doing" and things went from there

so like. luke bringing the baby to s/i and lay.ton like in the anime, but since im there its Better

so like since this is a couple short years after unw.ound future, hershel n s/i are not quite engaged yet but very close to that decision, but when luke brings baby kat its a very hectic surprise, where s/i is nervous and frustrated, not at any specific person necessarily but just the prospect of everyone thinking layt.on has the answer to every problem, even had the thought of a dialogue like "why cant they see what i see? not professor layt.on, but hershel! a man who is constantly given the world on his shoulders tenfold!"

he gets that frustration and in the back of his mind sort of thinks that himself, but as a gentleman he still feels he must step up, and assures her that he's not alone in this, if she's willing to do this with him. so like alright we'll give it a shot, and goddamn if she isn't the cutest, but she's not named yet. so katrielle it is.

and with this event it also gives hershel the push to finally properly propose 🥺

✨️💛~FACTS/HEADCANONS I HAVE FOR MY DARLING WEE BABBY KORE MARKOS~💛✨️

Stuff that came to mind or headcanons that I think fit Kore well because I need to get this out of my system before I explode into millions of pieces.

There's probably stuff I have missed out or have forgotten but this is what I have got for her so far:

✨️ Owns a black and white moggie cat back home named "Moomin" (or calls him "Moo-Moo" for short) and adores the cat to pieces - would die and kill for her cat, also absolutely misses him since going to Duel Academy. Definitely spoils her cat rotten when she goes home during the holidays.

💛 Kore is half Korean and half Greek (mother being Korean and father being Greek). Is surprisingly bilingual in four languages; Korean, Greek, Japanese and English. Was made to learn languages early on by her mother in order for Kore to be able to communicate with relatives and other people.

✨️ Can discolate her fingers, shoulders, knees and even her elbows. Rarely does this but Kore sometimes does this mainly to gross certain people out or freak them out. She pulls this shit with Chazz whenever he's being a pain - Chazz fucking hates it. Genuinely panicked and thought she was injured only to find out she does this randomly. Whenever she does this now, Chazz feels physically sick by the bone noises and hates it.

💛 Definition of having a personality of a racoon. Or a feral goblin.

✨️ Quite home-sick. Despite wanting to hopefully become a pro duelist (for her own beneficial reasons) and went to Duel Academy for the sole purpose, she does surprisingly miss home. Kore has never been able to adjust to new settings that easy. Like the first couple of days were fine but then it got to a point where she really feels home-sick. Luckily, with the help of her friends she feels at least better (plus her older brother is at Duel Academy too so she feels a bit more comfortable).

💛 Likes to design her Ra yellow jacket with some pins and the odd accessory. Definitely sanrio related or has cats.

✨️ Big fascination on collecting sea glass. Will search the beaches on weekends or maybe at the end of the school day to look for sea glass. ((This girl has like a drawer full of it.))

💛 Hands, fingers, wrists and legs constantly covered in band aids. Somehow ends up easily injured (dumb fuck).

✨️ Had like zero friends growing up(and the 'friends' she did have were not so great). Middle school life SUCKED. Kore has managed to find her own friends at Duel Academy and does get quite protective and clingy over them. Fears massively of being left behind or abandoned.

💛 Comes out with the most morbid sounding shit ever known to man. Like everyone could be having a normal conversation or you could be doing something and Kore would blurt out some...quite morbid thoughts and then the whole room is just silent af and awkward. Doesn't understand why you're looking at her with concern.

✨️ Kore used to own a super old af phone. It's cracked af, looks like it's been put through hell and back, has to bend the wire to charge the phone in a certain way, constantly has issues trying to turn the phone on and probably has to speak to the phone in a thick Swedish accent for it to even turn on. Uses the phone primarily to make calls, texts, or take photos of Pharoh the cat. Why doesn't she have a new phone? Well, due to her family's financial situation, Kore tends to settle with anything old and cheap (genuinely because she is unable to afford anything expensive and doesn't want to put strain on her parents). If it works, if it can make phone calls and texts, then no problem! Chazz has seen her phone and looked like he was going to see fucking God himself. Chazz had asked why she doesn't get a new phone but then he remembers both himself and Kore come from different status backgrounds. However, Kore had one day woke up and found a new phone suspiciously in front of her dorm room door still boxed and everything while Chazz was caught running out of the girl's Ra yellow dorm in a frantic dash. ((I'm aware that GX is set in like the early 2000's but I DON'T CARE))

💛 Heavily dislikes the taste and smell of tuna. Yet will happily eat salmon(??).

✨️ Has two closest friends named Miyu and Hanae (I will be sketching them at some point). Adores them both as they all pretty much act like sisters. A bit unhinged but they think they funny together.

💛 Kore did one time get herself and Chazz matching sanrio keychains (Kore has My Melody and Chazz got Kuromi). Chazz acts like he hates it with a passion and said to Kore it was silly. Yet when Kore tried to take it back Chazz protested and made such a huge fuss over it. Chazz actually carries it around, almost finding it thoughtful that Kore views him that highly.

✨️ Fiercely loyal to those she adores and cares about, and will absolutely fight someone tooth and nail for them.

💛 If something annoys her, or if a lot of things begin to bother up, Kore will tend to let that all bottle up and simmer. Kore tends to barely lash out and get angry, but once she hits a limit (could he even the slightest thing that pushes it and sets her off) she will lash out and get angry. She rarely ever does this, however as this has led to some upsetting arguments - which luckily she managed to repair - she'll let it all bottle up and end up crying in frustration.

✨️ Horrendous sleep schedule. She is not okay.

💛 If she's passionate about something she's interested in, she will talk for HOURS about it. To the point where you'd have to slowly sneak off while she's distracted.

✨️ LEGIT is lactose intolerant. Does she care? Fuck no don't be stupid. She'll gladly eat that block of cheese with grated parmesian and down it with milk if needed. Her line of reasoning - enjoy it now, suffer the horrific aftermath and deal with consequences later.

💛 Absolutely finds opossums and bats adorable.

✨️ Is a pretty decent duelist. Will hold her own in a duel, tries to take a more defensive approach when she feels as if she has her oppoment in a vulnerable position.

💛 Was obsessed with care bears from the ages of three to 12. Had all of the care beat plushies - I'm talking the originals and the care bear cousins. It was that bad. Luckily grew out of that phase. When she was very little, her dad was always forced to watch the care bears movies with her till she fell asleep at the end. ((Might be projecting and talking from personal experience. Specifically the care bears movie 2: a new generation. To my own dad, I'm so sorry- ))

can we get a text on undertale's white feminist politics please

originally i had reached out to someone for comment on undertale but after further investigation i have concluded that this person's experience with the creator is not relevant to the development of undertale

i am also going to emphasize for clarity that toby fox created undertale when they were associated with andrew hussie, making it from andrew hussie's basement. there are ideological positions in undertale that have not aged as well as they should have, presumably due to this association and therefore should be treated as the creator's feelings about the world around them at the time.

undertale has a very strange and somewhat unhealthy relationship with death and morality. nowhere in undertale does it really mention that frisk as a child, really cannot be held responsible for the actions they may potentially commit due to being a child. and likewise, committing a murder of any kind, regardless of the circumstances, has the game place a very strange moral judgement on the player. "all murder is bad!" no, not all murder is bad, and i realize that this may be a controversial statement to people living in a first world country, but the fact of the matter is that death, killing and murder has a lot more complicated sociological circumstance to it that this game is unwilling to talk about. and it's just weirdly vilified like babby's first psychology thesis. people die all the fucking time but it's how we choose to react and treat the situation that makes the cessation of life have that meaning and the monsters quite frankly SHOULD understand this, but they don't?

undyne is a cop. papyrus (i fucking love papyrus but he absolutely deserves this criticism) wants to be a cop. this didn't age well. it fucking died on arrival even then and playing the game today with this in mind, given that you're supposed to like this characters is. yikes. there just seem to be a lot of weird moral decisions in regards to what counts as "bad behavior" and actual moral blindsights this game has that make replaying it like being in the house of a very sheltered person.

also alphys experiments on people and once you learn this it's kind of fucking impossible to be charmed by her, because the game is so focused on trying to make her likeable, charming and quirky that it feels like a disingenuous representation of the kind of person she is, because in all honesty she kinda deserves to get her teeth kicked in

asgore killed children but everyone is kind of missing the fact that he's doing it to free the monsters from prison. honestly i think asgore is the ultimate representation of the game's hypocritical stances on what counts as a justified moral argument because as he demonstrates simply by existing, morality does not exist in black and white lines, which the game, seems to always fail to consistently portray. the execution with undertale's bizarre politics makes it a confusing mess of selfish politique that have not made the game age well in retrospect.

hnnggghhhhh i might listen to a bit of Eldest tomorrow if the Gremling isn't working with us. I want Iz and Arya content again.

Well, I want the lead up to the Iz and Arya content. Brom pulling Arya aside multiple times in the days leading up to getting to Ellesmera, Eragon, Saphira and Orik all catching glimpses of them having heated discussions via Rider Signs (Eragon and Saphira still only know the very basic ones needed for signifying dangers and directions by then), Arya tensing up as she did in the canon books the closer they got.

On one hand, I can see MIC!Arya getting very, very tense about the idea of facing her mother. I still can't figure out if Iz had been tipped off by the Captain Arya told the other elves to talk to, and if that tipping off was enough to say 'hey, your kid, the one you banished? yeah she's not dead. she'll be here in a few weeks.' or if it was just saying that Brom and his students were coming/things kicked the fuck off.

Come to think of it, even though the barriers/wards would have tripped something and alerted the elves nearby or somesuch (and fat use that was when a fucking Shade just WALTZED IN WITH A DOZEN URGALS–) but...NOBODY could have known ANYTHING of who really was approaching.

MIC!Arya's reaction, right. On one hand, I can see her getting visibly tense the closer they get. She's not been face to face with the queen since she was banished. She doesn't know for sure if Iz is gonna deal with this cold and professional, or try and accept her back.

on the other side of it, I sorta think she would do her best to just...act normal? Like Eragon and Saphira have been around her long enough to notice that she's off but not quite why at all, and she brushes off everything, any questions on if she thinks her family (she told them previously that she has no House and was disowned and banished due to her insistence on becoming ambassador/combat liaison and fighting) will be there to see her when news reaches them, and just keeps saying 'Let's get you, Saphira, Brom and Orik to the Queen first. Then you get to experience a real party./ Saphira, you'll get to fly as much as you like once we see the Queen, I'll point out on a map of the city where the best views are./ There's a lot of people who will want to meet you.'

Brom is practically just as tense. He's friends with Iz, he knows that there's a LOT going on there that neither of them understand really or know how to navigate, and things could go any direction. But he's also going to be working with Oromis and Glaedr, so he's worried about the level of Eragon's training, Eragon's scar, etc.

So he and Arya spend a decent amount of time at camp off to the side, aggressively signing at each other, trying to get the other to open up and just breathe and they both are so high strung under the surface that it's just not going to work.
