These weirdos need to leave Rachel Zegler alone because, specifically on Reddit and Twitter a bit, they obsessively hate her for having a personality, being earnest, being pro-Palestine and left-wing.

It's definitely misogyny and a bunch of right-wing trolls that throw tantrums over a person of colour or woman on their screen. People are way too comfortable being openly bigoted like that nowadays, and it's definitely going to get worse.

Like as we saw, Rachel had to retract her (based) statement about Trump winning the election. And people wouldn't do the Actors on Actors thing with Sebastian Stan because their publicists or PR teams didn't want the celebrities expressing their distaste/disgust with Trump.

Hollywood seems to be on their way to censoring any "controversial" (meaning left-wing) political talk and not combatting the bigotry the right is spewing. Especially with the McCarthyism-like blacklisting that's happened to some pro-Palestine celebrities recently, and with how Zionist a lot of production companies are, I feel like there is going to be far fewer celebrities speaking out about important issues.

I assume it's going to feel kind of defeating and isolating over the next few years -- like those with power and reach don't care -- but this just emphasises the importance of keeping using your voice and maintaining momentum in fighting for issues like Palestine, immigration and abortion. Community will become even more crucial.

So earlier in art class today, someone drew a characters hands in their pockets and mentioned that hands are really like the ultimate end boss of art, and most of us wholeheartedly agreed. So then, our teacher went ahead and free handed like a handful of hands on the board, earning a woah from a couple of students. So the one from earlier mentioned how it barely took the teacher ten seconds to do what I can’t do in three hours. And you know what he responded?

“It didn’t take me ten seconds, it took me forty years.”

And you know, that stuck with me somehow. Because yeah. Drawing a hand didn’t take him fourth years. But learning and practicing to draw a hand in ten seconds did. And I think there’s something to learn there but it’s so warm and my brain is fried so I can’t formulate the actual morale of the lesson.
