what kind of art asks are ok?
Everything I've been getting so far is pretty ok. I admit I'd be a bit uncomfortable if someone asked me to draw something nsfw tho.
Characters and fandoms I know nothing about are also things I probably won't draw (you can always take a look at my blog to see some of the stuff I like). Ships I don't like I don't think I'd have a great time drawing either.
Problematic ships (incest, pedophilia etc) are also a no no.
If I truly don't want to draw something I just won't or, if I do, I'll probably manipulate the ask to my liking. If I end up not wanting to draw something I'll post the ask alone with some explanation (I think it'd be cruel to never let the person know and make then think I'm ignoring them).
Don't expect something truly great, these are just asks. Maybe wait till I set up commissions or something (if you see me drawing something 'better' it's probably because I wanted to draw that regardless of the ask).
We are here to have fun :)

Hey, I saw your recent post about how you're struggling. I know you don't know me, but I just want to tell you that you're not alone. There's a lot you said you're struggling with that I've gone through as well. I understand. I want you to have some solidarity, even if it's just because a stranger chose to share a piece of their story with you.
When I went off to college, things were fine at first. I went through my first semester with flying colors. Second semester started the same, but deteriorated quickly. I fell behind on homework, so I didn't understand what was happening in class, so I stopped going to class as much, and this spiraled until I stopped going to class all together. I spent most of a semester either in bed or *shudders* on League of Legends, only leaving my dorm to eat at the dining halls. When I failed all my classes, I was invited to never return. It was very much a dark place to be, and I can only hope that you're not stuck in as bad of a mental space as I was.
Of course, I don't know the full severity of your mental health, and I don't expect to either. I'm sharing this next bit of wisdom in fear of the worst, in fear that it's as severe as mine was: Find a reason, any reason, to stick around, and latch onto that. For me, that was my cat. I saw a meme once where the poster shared they were only sticking around cause their pet wouldn't understand why they were missing, and why they never returned home. Point is, the reason doesn't have to be something grandiose. No matter how trivial a reason may seem, like not ever tasting ice cream again, or not being able to see a new season of an anime, or even just cause of a meme, it's always a valid reason to not give it all up. Find what that reason is for you, and latch on tight.
I'm sure you've heard "things will get better," a million times, and I understand just how hard it is to believe, especially when depression takes hold. Instead, know that no feeling is final, and there will always be a tomorrow. Your mental state does not define you, and there will always be time for it to change.
Take care.
thank you so much for the taking the time to respond.
I'm no longer a student, I haven't been for years. But back when I did go to school, I also started off with near perfect attendence(granted I couldn't keep up even at the start) but as time passed and my mental health worsened, I started not completing homework and just staying home from time to time. I did end graduating, but only barely. And without covid and a hospitalisation that stopped me from going to exams, I wouldn't have passed at all.
Since then, I've been on sick leave. And it's been over 3 years by now, first year I spent just trying to get the doctors to listen to me telling them something was wrong. And in the process I tried to end my life a time or two and I was admitted to the hospital 3 times.
End the end I came in telling them about my experience with "Hearing voices" really it was just my alters, but still I was granted 2 years of intense therapy.
Now those years are over and I still haven't really improved much, my depression is as bad as ever, so is my BDD.
The only thing that has improved is my social anxiety. Which I am thankful for. But really it's not enough of a change to really make a difference.
Luckily I have grown older and wiser over these past 3 years, I haven't tried to kill myself for over 2 years for once(apart from one time this week where I was very close to attempting it) and I have learned the importance of having something to keep you going just like you said yourself.
I'm not really good at talking about this sorta thing, but when you sent this ask yesterday. You did it at the perfect time, I was very very unhappy when I saw it, and it cheered me up a lot.
I know that it to you probably didn't seem like that big a thing to do. But it was, it genuinely was.
I'm also really sorry if I caused you any sort of worry, my intention with that post wasn't to ask for help really. I think at least.
But more to show that there is more to my life, and to so many other trans people out there than just happiness. And that it's not a failure to not be happy all the time, even if it seems like everyone around you is doing great. That was what I was trying to do.
I hope you have a good day, and a good rest of your week. And that you feel like you made even just a tiny difference in the world.
I hope you feel like you have the strength to help others, as well as other people may feel inspired to reach out to others whom they feel could use a hand.
The world needs more light in these dark times, and honestly this interaction with you has been a highlight, thank you

Journal Entry 10/29/2024
The Psych Exam – A Step Closer to Becoming an Officer: Woke up early at 7:30 a.m. to head to DSH for my online psych test. The process was much longer than expected, and finding parking felt like an eternity. The email wasn’t kidding—parking there is a nightmare. After circling around, I managed to park right in front of the DSH Police Department. The first thing I noticed? Chargers. I thought, “Daaaang, they’ve got budget for Chargers!?”
The admin building was a quick 2-minute walk, but it was still surreal being surrounded by officers and staff—a glimpse into the environment I’ll hopefully work in soon. When I got to the third floor, I had a nice chat with a Filipina nurse in Tagalog before heading to HR. I checked in, letting them know I was there for my psych exam, and waited for a few minutes until one of the HR staff called us to follow him to the testing area.
Contingent Offer & Psych Test Details: Before we could start the exam, the HR guy handed us some paperwork to sign, and the first one was a contingent offer letter. My heart skipped a beat—finally, an offer! It’s not official yet, of course, but getting a contingent offer is a big step. The letter read: “Office of Protective Services, Department of State Hospitals,” with the OPS logo right on top. I signed the paper, feeling proud of making it this far.
The HR guy explained the remaining steps I need to pass before the job becomes official:
Physical Agility Test (PAT)
Medical Exam
Online Psychological Evaluation
One-on-One Psychological Interview
Since I already passed the background check and completed PC 832, I’m on the home stretch. They also asked about nepotism, confirming if I knew anyone working at DSH—which I don’t, so I’m clear there.
The psych evaluation itself was a marathon. I had to go through:
Personality Test
California Psychological Inventory™ (CPI)
Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI)
I honestly had no clue how to prepare for these tests, so I just answered truthfully. The questions were repetitive at times, but I stayed focused, knowing this was part of the process. Two hours later, I was done. Finally.
Celebration Stop – Starbread Filipino Bakery: To reward myself for surviving the psych test, I made a 12-minute detour to Cerritos to visit Starbread. I ended up buying 30 pieces of Spanish bread—couldn’t help myself! The drive home was awful, though. What was supposed to be 25 minutes turned into an hour due to a traffic incident. The stop-and-go traffic drove me insane, but I managed to stay calm knowing I’d survived the test.
Catching Up on Work & Workout Routine: Once I got home, I jumped on my computer to catch up on work. There were some tasks that needed my attention, and I spent a good amount of time wrapping things up before heading out to Planet Fitness. I did a 15-minute bike workout to start preparing for the PAT—I want to feel confident going into it, so building some stamina is crucial.
After the workout, I got back home just in time for the 3:45 p.m. meeting, which went by quickly. It was uneventful but gave me a chance to reset before the World Series Game 4.
World Series Game 4 – A Painful Loss: The Dodgers game was rough to watch. We were dominating early in the game, but everything fell apart, and the Yankees came back strong, winning 11-4. It was hard to see the team stumble after starting so well. But at least the series is still 3-1—we’re one win away from taking it all. Hopefully, the momentum shifts back in our favor for Game 5.
Plans for Tomorrow – Vaccines and More Work: Tomorrow, I’ll be heading to the office to get my flu shot and COVID vaccine, and I have a medication drop-off for a patient scheduled. I plan to hit Planet Fitness again and do more bike workouts to keep building my endurance.
Reflections & Mental Health Check: Today was alright. I didn’t feel any depression—it seems like working out really helps me stay grounded. I’ll keep this routine going, especially with everything going on at work and the upcoming tests.
I’m feeling good about the steps I’ve taken today. Passing the psych exam felt like a huge accomplishment, and despite the Yankees winning, I’m still optimistic about tomorrow. One more game to win—and one step closer to the Academy.

The One Good Thing
Rowaelin Month, Day Two
Tumblr media
A/N: again, I'm gonna fail all my exams because of this stupid app, I'm sure. Also, I miss the off campus boys so much I kinda made Fenrys one of them and I love the idea of the tog men as hockey players so yeah, enjoy;)
Word count: 2,581
Aelin would have killed for a second of silence.
She daydreamed of that almost noisy quiet that makes you feel every deepest thought hidden in your brain that exists only at 3 a.m., when every soul is resting and cars can't drive around the campus. And there are no children screaming at the top of their lungs or parties going on all night long.
That was what she had been promised, the flyers she'd been handed during the open days, when she had come to visit the college.
That was how it was supposed to be.
Aelin had tried so many times to ask her upstairs flatmate to hold his Twitch live streams strictly in the afternoons or mornings when she wouldn't be home, but when Fenrys Moonbeam had first opened the door to his place, the girl had known immediately that she wouldn't be able to change his mind even by paying him.
Especially since his live streams were followed by such a large audience that Aelin couldn't even begin to understand how he had managed to build an empire so big in just under a month. Surely it had something to do with the long blond hair, different from her own but just as beautiful, and the arms covered in tattoos so colourful they blind you. They had their own charm. Add to the pile the fact that he was the goalie on the hockey team, and he was the perfect mix for the guy to marry.
From what their common friends had told her, he was already earning enough to afford an off-campus home, but that he liked the comfort the college dorm gave.
A comfort that Aelin, after three years in those filthy rooms and shared bathrooms, had yet to find.
When yet another howl of celebration at yet another victory that everyone expected pierced through his floor and her ceiling, nearly drilling her eardrums, Aelin gritted her teeth so hard that for a moment she feared they might shatter.
She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath and trying to whisper, "Shut," failed miserably to keep her tone under control and shrieked the second word, "up!"
A booming laugh rang out upstairs and a millisecond later a message lit up her phone screen.
From Lys: Girl, maybe you should take a chill pill, I heard you on the live stream. Are you still studying?
She tossed the phone to the side, pulling her hair up and pinning it back with a pencil.
"Fuck off." she muttered under her breath.
Lysandra was one of the few in their group of friends who never missed a Fenrys broadcast. Whether it was at eleven at night or five in the morning, she was always one of the first to join in.
Aelin often wondered if she was just doing it because Fenrys was helping her sponsor her YouTube channel, but then she remembered that Lysandra would do the same for all her friends.
She got out of bed, taking all her books and notes in her arms, pen in her mouth and holding her phone between her pinky and ring fingers. She threw open the door to her room and found herself facing a wall of muscle, slamming into her roommate's chest.
Rowan's hands snapped forward and kept her from falling backwards and when Aelin looked up at his face, she almost lost her balance again.
His face was sleepy, only one eye open as he suppressed a yawn. The imprint of the pillowcase on his cheek just another sign that he had already been sleeping.
"Are you okay?" he asked her in a hoarse voice, stepping back and letting her through, "I heard you screaming. I was coming to check on you."
Aelin grimaced, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you."
He shook his head, moving a hand in mid-air, "Don't worry about it." then his gaze snapped to the ceiling as another laugh from Fenrys cut through the thin material dividing their quarters. He frowned, lowering his gaze back to her, and it was at that moment that he noticed the books in her arms.
If possible, his frown deepened even more.
He closed his eyes, gently grabbing her wrist and leaning against the wall behind him, pulling her towards him.
Aelin let herself be tugged, arranging the books so that they didn't poke at either her or him in that uncomfortable hug, but she positioned her head against his chest, letting his fingers expertly massage the nape of her neck.
"Baby." he sighed into her hair. Her toes curled.
It had only been a few weeks since they had decided to start dating, a few weeks since Rowan had confessed to having feelings for her. They had exchanged a few kisses in secret from their friends, wanting to enjoy that first phase of their very fresh relationship in privacy. They hadn't done anything too steamy yet, and Aelin had more than agreed with his decision to take it slow, but one thing Rowan hadn't held back in the slightest from the first second she'd agreed to go out with him had been the pet names he'd given her whenever they were in the safety of their dorms.
Baby was definitely her favourite.
His hands slid lower, down her back, and she looked up, resting her chin on his chest and fixing her eyes in his. His gaze softened, still clouded with sleep. "You shouldn't be studying at this hour."
Aelin grunted, smacking her forehead against his chest, "But I have a test tomorrow."
Rowan sighed again, pushing her away and taking the books from her arms. "Precisely why you should be sleeping." He walked towards the common room, speaking softly and hoping Lorcan wouldn't hear them. They both knew their roommate suspected something, but he didn't have enough worries in the world for him to actually give a shit about their possible relationship, and they also knew he would never say anything to anyone. Maybe to Elide, but neither of them would bet on it. "I left you alone tonight because you needed to rest, not stay up until morning melting your brain."
She followed him like a lost dog, dragging her feet on the ground, finally feeling that visceral fatigue get the better of her.
"I can't leave the study half done."
Rowan dropped the books on the table, turning around just in time to block her before she bumped into him again and slipped the pencil out of her mass of hair, letting it fall around her shoulders.
"You're not leaving the study half done," he told her as he rubbed her arms to keep her warm, "you've spent the last five weeks studying this stuff and I'm sure you know it like the abc. You need a break." he told her.
Aelin looked up at him from under her lashes, a little annoyed that that was true, but completely distracted by the lines his fingers were drawing on her arms. She took a deep breath through her nose, puffing out her chest and thrusting out her breasts, catching the attentive gaze of her almost-boyfriend for a nanosecond.
He smiled wearily at her, "Are you sleeping in my bed tonight?"
Aelin just nodded and took both of his hands, pulling him down onto her. Rowan squinted his eyes and placed his lips on hers in a quick, chaste kiss. She hummed in satisfaction as his hands slid under her bottom and wrapped around her thighs, pulling her up. She tied her legs around his hips and rested her head on his shoulder as Rowan made his way into their tiny flat.
He lowered her onto the bed, pulling the blankets out from under her body and laying down beside her before covering them both. Aelin moved as close to him as she could, pressing her back against his chest and her butt against his crotch, tangling their legs together.
Rowan's arm wrapped around her waist as the other slipped under her head and his hand found hers under the pillow.
The second they were settled, every bit of their bodies touching, Rowan left a soft kiss on her shoulder, pulling her even tighter against him.
She smiled weakly, in a drawling tone, "Thank you."
He hummed against her skin, "That's what I'm here for."
"Don't let me die around finals time?" she asked in a teasing tone.
Rowan chuckled softly, making her back shake, "Exactly."
Aelin tried to turn towards him, wanting to trace the pale freckles that were starting to sprout on his nose now that the days were getting longer and the sun kissed his cheek every afternoon, but his arms blocked her.
"No, it's not fair for you to be the big spoon every night. I'm fucking sick of it, I want to hold you today." he muttered, the chains of sleep already dragging him towards that blissful unconsciousness.
She huffed, stopping struggling against his grip, relaxing and feeling her muscles scream with pleasure after being tense for hours on end while she studied.
She hadn't realised she'd stayed up so long, but she was terrified of failing this last exam. If she failed it she would have to wait months before she could retake it and the idea of it was getting her down more than perhaps it should have.
She started thinking about the various questions the professors might ask her the next day, repeating the answers in her mind, closing her eyes as she thought.
"Baby," Rowan grumbled, "you're talking out loud."
She hadn't realised she was biting the cuticles around her nails until his hand came to rest on her arm, pulling her hand away from her mouth. He took a deep breath, helping her turn to face him.
When she looked up at him from under her lashes, she saw the way he was fighting sleep. And she felt terribly guilty. If she was having trouble sleeping the day before an exam, that didn't mean he had to stay awake for her too.
She was about to speak, tell him to close his eyes again and let her go into the living room so she could finish going over the last few pages and then return to his room, but he put his hand on her cheek and in a soft voice asked, "What's bothering you?"
She bit the inside of her cheek, shaking her head, "Nothing."
He tried to hold back a yawn again, but couldn't this time and Aelin's guilt grew immensely inside her. "If you tell me right now what's wrong, I could help you fix it sooner. And we could get at least three hours of sleep before we have to go to class." he pointed out in an exhausted tone.
She blinked once, twice, searching for the right words.
"It's Fen. If he'd stop playing so late every night-"
Rowan quickly cut her off, closing his eyes, almost as if he could no longer physically stay awake. "Ace, Fenrys never really bothered you. You've always managed to study and ignore it. What is it that's bothering you?"
Aelin let go of a shaky breath, "It's nothing, really. We'll talk about it tomorrow."
He only opened one eye, watching her carefully as she hid her face against his chest and wrapped her thin arms around his torso.
His hand began to slowly massage her back, "If we don't talk about this now I'll be up all night worrying."
She huffed, knowing full well how true those words were. For the love of the other, she began to ramble on about the real reason she hadn't been able to focus on the textbooks.
"I don't want to tell anyone we're together yet," she confessed under her breath.
Rowan opened both eyes then, fixing them on her and giving a small nod with his chin to keep her going.
"It's not that I don't want to tell the others," she said, referring to their closest friends, "but the second they find out, the news will become public knowledge and there are some people I really don't want to let that information get to."
He nodded, understanding perfectly who she was talking about.
"We don't have to tell anyone," he kissed her forehead, continuing to talk in that position, his lips brushing against her skin with every word he spoke, "it'll be our little secret for some time more, until we figure out how to get all the puck bunnies off our backs."
Aelin smiled, lifting her chin and kissing him.
Being the captain of the hockey team, Rowan didn't exactly go unnoticed on campus. Not many people approached him during the day, especially when Lorcan was at his side, knowing full well that they would receive nothing but a rude invitation to leave, but their friend couldn't spend his life attached to Rowan's hip, and the few times the two of them had gone out alone it had happened that a horde of fans had overwhelmed them. After those afternoons, Aelin had found herself the victim of not so nice threats from unknown numbers, as had happened to Lysandra when she had first started dating Aedion.
With Manon's help they had managed to track down the senders and Rowan had been unpleasantly surprised to discover that it was one of the girls he always partied with after the games. A girl he'd always considered a friend.
Rowan had taken all the blame, feeling responsible for those attacks on Aelin and it had taken months to convince him that he had no part in the insanity of others.
They'd started limiting the dates they went on as a pair, even when they were just friends, to prevent similar things from happening again, but Aelin felt trapped.
And she knew it was the same for Rowan.
She wished she could get a place off campus, where she could retreat with him, away from the prying eyes of the world, but it didn't seem right to bring up the topic of 'let's move in together' after not even three months of dating.
Rowan rested a hand on her cheek, moving a strand of hair behind her ear, "It'll be fine. And if anyone finds out and the threats come back, we'll do something about it."
She nodded, not entirely convinced and not at all reassured.
He knew instantly, "Aelin, whatever happens, I don't care what others think. I've waited years to finally have you. I've been on the sidelines all this time, watching you go on date after date with everyone and never with me-"
"You never asked," she mumbled in annoyance.
Rowan continued as if she hadn't spoken, "I would have preferred not to be the talk of the town all the time, but I'm not going to let public opinion take away the one good thing in my life."
She opened her mouth wide, "What about hockey?"
He shrugged, looking at her, "Hockey is just a sport."
"If Lorcan could hear you right now..." she shook her head.
"But Lorcan's not here. And you won't tell him," he made her silently promise.
They exchanged another brief kiss, before they carried on talking about all the worries she had and every word that came out of his lips acted as a sedative for her fears, killing one at a time, until she fell asleep in his arms, lulled by his soft breathing on her neck.

NEFELIBATA - Takuya Birthday Special
Masterlist No content/trigger warning. Extreme fluff <3
Tumblr media
Takuya had grown upset at the possibility of his birthday being forgotten; especially considering his two childhood friends hadn't even raised so much as a 'happy birthday' to him. It's not like he particularly expected a gift - although it definitely would be nice. Tapping his pencil against the desk, he frowned - (Name) was the most attentive person he knew and even she had forgotten? Maybe he failed in making it known beforehand. At this point, he just wanted to go home and curl up into a ball with the birthday cake his mother had baked him.
Now that he thought about it, Makoto had an obsession with the western zodiacs - he always looked on those weird 'zodiac luckiness' websites. Cancer, that's what Takuya's zodiac was - the zodiac of the crab. His 'aligned' personality was about him being loving and full of emotions - but also moody, suspicious and overprotective. He was not moody, he'd like to believe. The thought made him grumpy-
Ah, wait, that'd be right then.
He mentally groaned as the bell signalling the end of the day sounded, and his phone let out the identifiable ping to tell him he'd received a message. Flipping his phone up, (Name)'s contact popped up.
(NAME)-CHAN Mizo Middle headin' out early - we'll see you later Taku-chan! Byebye!
So they had truly forgotten. Takuya felt himself visibly deflate; there goes his final slither of hope. He shrugged, at least he had all of that cake to himself. He began his journey home; the train ride being oddly silent - usually the group of them would rambunctiously play whilst (Name), Akkun and himself would stare judgingly. Until (Name) got annoyed with all the stares from the elderly people and try to beat them up. For someone who didn't fight, Takuya could admit that the girl punched way too hard.
Coming home to an empty house was normal; his parents worked long jobs to provide for them (he actually appreciated their evening absences because of Kiyomasa and his gang, but he no longer feared any of that). But it felt much more empty as he slipped his shoes off- Wait, those definitely were not his shoes.
Sloppily hidden amongst the eco-friendly tote bags, five pairs of shoes were stacked. Four pairs of messy trainers, and one pair of remotely looked after converses. He nearly laughed - so they were here. A surprise birthday party, he guessed. The idiot trio must've gotten side tracked and, in a hurry, (Name) or Akkun shoved the shoes to the side and threw the totes over them.
Takuya guessed he'd humour them after all their effort. Slipping his indoor slides onto his feet and hanging his bag up on the door, he slowly made his way to the living room - and, upon entering the dark room, the lights suddenly flicked on and the distinct sound of party poppers filled his ears (and kind of scaring him, admittedly).
"Happy birthday!" The collective cheer of each person brought a grin to his face; regardless of the under-planned surprise element, he couldn't contain his smile at the sight. Kazushi, Makoto and Takemichi each had several party hats decorating their heads - almost as if they were trying to imitate a crown. Akkun was off to the side with a bright grin and a party popper in his hand. (Name), however, wasn't in sight.
He was about to open his mouth to ask where she was when someone jumped onto his back, arms around his neck "Happy birthday, Taku-chan!" The familiarly cheery voice made him laugh, and he softly thanked them all. The girl of the group eagerly dragged him towards their paper cut out of a birthday cake laid out on the table, surrounded by gifts.
Takuya slowly opened each of them.
From Akkun, a new controller for his gaming console - the boy explaining it as a 'new' method for everyone to play together, instead of taking turns with one controller. He appreciated it, and smiled softly before gently placing it back in the box (promising that he'd play with Atsushi first and foremost). From Makoto, a porn magazine - he slightly sneered at the gift, and the dumb(est) boy began to whine and cry about how 'Takuya didn't like his gift'. Even (Name) sneered and appropriately smacked Makoto on the back of the head with an apologetic smile towards Takuya. The blonde just shook his head and thanked the boy reluctantly (he had definitely thought more of himself instead of Takuya - but it was funny regardless, both Kazushi and Takemichi seemed to think so, too). From Kazushi, a bunch of notebooks, pens and pencils - explaining it to him as a new hobby to pick up. According to him, Takuya looked like the 'artsy poet' type (admittedly, he couldn't help but agree). He tested the glittery gel pens on one of the note books and grinned - they were extremely pretty, perfect for exam note-taking too. He placed them to the side delicately and expressed his gratitude.
He couldn't help but side-eye Takemichi and (Name). Takemichi was someone who would buy an extremely expensively thoughtful gift - it always made him feel guilty for weeks after, because the determined blonde would never allow Takuya to repay him. And (Name)… he visibly sweated. She had no taste in gift giving, and her gift was probably going to be worse than Makoto's - appropriate, but worse. They all exchanged knowing glances as the girl turned around to push Takemichi's gift towards him.
Takemichi had gotten a choker chain; and, as expected, it looked expensive. On the front, 'TAKUYA' was written in cursive with two ruby colored stones either side - if he remembered ride, a ruby was his birthstone. He almost verbally awed, but, instead, opted for hugging Takemichi tightly with an over-the-top thank you. The bleached blonde looked very happy at Takuya's joy."It's time for my gift now, right?" (Name) cheerily reminded, pushing a large box forward "Don't be surprised; I asked for your parents permission too." What? Takuya rose an eyebrow. Parents permission? Whatever it was, the other four didn't seem to know either - they looked just as confused.
She raced out of the room for a few moments before returning with her head poked around the door, hiding her arms behind the door frame "Don't freak out, we have to be quiet." They all nodded "Promise?"
"Promise." They all quietly spoke, and Takuya could feel himself get slightly giddy. Whatever this was, he was excited - and he hoped he wasn't disappointed (he wouldn't be, regardless, because he'd get to jokingly bully her for a bad gift for the rest of her life). She slowly turned and walked in, and the bundle in her arms nearly sent him into cardiac arrest.
The cutest puppy was excitedly wagging its tail in her grip, adoringly staring at its new friends jovially. (Name) crouched down and softly placed it against the floor, and they all watched as it clumsily stumbled towards the closest human - Takuya himself. Pressing its wet nose against his arm, its little butt wiggled with the force of its tail.
"How- wha- I don't know how to react-" For the first time in a while, the group watched as an awe-stricken and very visibly shocked Takuya brought the puppy into his arms. (Name) laughed and slid to the floor beside him, gently patting the puppy.
"I spoke to your parents the other day before school about it; they said it'd probably do you good, especially with summer break comin' up. Keep you company, and you can go on walks with her." She explained whilst watching as the other four crowded round, each taking a turn at stroking the soft puppy.
"How the hell did you get her here?" Akkun questioned. It made all of them wonder; yeah, how? She had been with them all day, so how on Earth had she gotten a puppy to Takuya's house without them realising?
(Name) snorted "I asked Mikey-chan and Ken-kun to bring her; they put her in your room, in one of those play pens. Cute little thing was fast asleep but woke up straight away when hearing the door open. She was so excited." Takuya was so in love with this adorable creature that had found its new home in his arms "She ain't got a name, so that's up to you." He lit up, and the group laughed at his expression.
"Rocky." The name sent embarrassment into (Name)'s system, as she profusely rejected the name - completely being ignored by a cackling Takuya.
"Huh, what's so bad about Rocky? Rocky-chan is so cute!" Kazushi protested.
"It's Rocky because the last time me and (Name) hung out alone together, she fell into the river because of the rocks." The laughter from everyone was enough to make (Name) hide her face in her hands, muttering a 'I hate you' endearingly under her breath.
With his new friend and playmate in his hands, Takuya could wholeheartedly say... THIS WAS THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER.

Summary: You met Pierre at the Brazilian Grand Prix and for 3 months you couldn't get in touch.
Warnings: fluff, like 2 swear words
Word count: 2.3k
This one was requested by @jugasly and I know it is not exactly what she wanted but I really tried and I hope you liked it!
Avenida Paulista's Boulevard catches the eye especially through the skyscrapers similar to those in the big North American cities. Brazil's most modern city has much to offer tourists around the world. The most beautiful museums in South America can be found here, the shore is furrowed with lots of sunny beaches. And its nightlife has attracted many tourists.
The largest city in South America makes New York look small. The buses make an unbearable noise and black smoke spreads over the upper floors of the skyscrapers which, through the heat that maintains it during the day, turn the city into a real hell.
I felt myself waking up but I was determined to keep my eyes closed for a little longer but in a few seconds I was awakened violently by the sound of car engines. That's what I deserve for booking the hotel next to the Formula 1 circuit.
You reluctantly got out of bed and went to the window. I saw how the Formula 1 cars are brought on the circuit and I look at my watch. Fuck, it was pre-qualification practice, did I really sleep that much? Honestly, I arrived in the room at 5 o'clock and at 6 I fell asleep so I shouldn't have been so surprised that I slept in.
I was in Brazil with my two best friends to watch a Formula 1 race live and we chose Brazil because we needed a good reason to leave Europe and visit South America for a week, right?
I woke up my friends and in less than half an hour we were leaving the hotel, running, with a big cup of coffee in our hand.
We passed quickly through the front gate, all we needed now was to find our seats.
All around us could be heard the cars speeding on the circuit. My skin was goosebumps and I was looking at my friends who had the same smile on their faces that I think I had.
We find our seats and watch the last 15 minutes of training. We held in our hands the tickets that gave us access to the paddock. We were going to go there after the drivers returned to the garages.
My eyes were searching for Aston Martin Hospitality. I knew that if I returned home from this Grand Prix without an autograph from Sebastian Vettel for my father, I could very well stay in Brazil for the rest of my life.
Being so focused on looking for the green building, I didn't realize that someone was coming in front of me only when I hit a hard chest. I heard my girlfriends gasping. Fuck, I just hope I didn't run into Toto Wolff.
I open my eyes slightly and see a driver's suit, white and blue. Alpha Tauri?
I look up at the driver's face. To be damned. Pierre Gasly. With ruffled hair and a red face, Pierre Gasly was in front of me.
"I'm really, really sorry, I didn't look where I was going. Sorry!" I say and take a step back, stepping out of his personal space.
As I walked away from him, I saw that he was not alone but with Pyry.
"It's okay, I wasn't looking where I was going either," he says, running his hand through his hair, trying to fix it.
I smile at them and then I look at my friends giggling at our embarrassing date.
Pyry motions to Pierre to someone behind me and that makes him take his eyes off me.
"Oh, I have to go," he tells me. "Have fun."
I stood still for a few moments, unable to move. I just met my favorite driver and it couldn't be more embarrassed than that.
"The first meeting with your children's future father was very good." my best friend, Lila, tells me.
"Shut up."
The fact that I found Aston Martin Hospitality and managed to get the autograph for my father and I could take a few pictures with Sebastian Vettel erased the embarrassment caused by the disastrous meeting I had with Pierre Gasly.
For a little time.
As soon as we got out of Aston Martin Hospitality Lila pulled us to McLaren Hospitality, hoping to meet Lando Norris and take some pictures with him, about 100, but who's counting, right?
I was with my head on the phone, sending my father some pictures I took with Sebastian Vettel when I came across someone, this time I lost my balance and I was about to fall but two strong arms caught me. Pierre Gasly, again.
"Honestly, we should stop meeting like this, you could get hurt," he says and laughs. "Are you ok?"
"Yes, yes, I'm fine," I say and bite my lip. "I should really start looking where I'm going."
My friends secretly took pictures of us.
"It's the second time we've met in less than 10 minutes, maybe the universe wants to tell us something, don't you think?" he says and holds out his hand. "Pierre."
I hold out my hand and smile wide. "Y/N."
I turn my gaze to Lila and Erica, presenting them to Pierre as well.
"I hope you feel good in the paddock. So far, the world has been nice to you and your friends?"
"Yes, everything has been good so far. We've only been to Aston Martin and they've all been very nice to us. Except for a few people who don't look where they're going, we haven't had any unexpected events." I say and laugh.
Pierre starts laughing too.
"Yes, I will try to look after you from now on and avoid you. I don't want to be the reason you fall. Although, if something happens, I know the medical team and you don't need medical insurance here."
I asked Pierre if he wanted to take some pictures with me and he accepted immediately. At least that's what I can do after I've run into you twice already.
For the next few hours, Lila and Erica, and I walked from one Hospitality to another, looking for drivers. They were all very nice to us and agreed to pose with us.
When it was time to start qualifying, we went to the room provided by McLaren for guests to watch.
I followed Pierre's position in the standings, Lila followed Lando's position and Erica followed Max's position. All three of us breathed a sigh of relief when the three boys passed into Q3.
Lando will leave from the seventh position tomorrow.
Pierre will start from the fourth position.
Max will start from pole position.
The three of us went to the hotel, ready to rest well for the next day.
If the atmosphere for qualifying had seemed charged to me, then the atmosphere before the race could not be described.
Yesterday everyone was behaving nicely and they were smiling. Now everyone was running past everyone, there were many screams and many curses could be heard. And everyone was frowning, not a smile in sight.
We didn't see any drivers, so we headed to McLaren Hospitality to get comfortable for the race. I unwittingly was disappointed. I wanted to see Pierre before the race to wish him good luck.
Although I hadn't wished him good luck, Pierre was lucky. He finished the race in second place, behind Max Verstappen. I was very happy and I wanted to go and congratulate him as soon as possible.
I watched the award from the window, filming and taking pictures which I was sure I would cherish for a long time to come.
"Congratulations!" I scream when I see him and he looks at me. "It was a very good race, congratulations!"
"Thank you!" he says and smiles at me.
I asked my friends to take some pictures with the trophy and champagne and then Pierre left, being shouted by someone from the team.
"Stay here, I'd like to see you one more time before you have to leave."
I could die then and there when I heard his words. Pierre Gasly wanted to see me again.
It's just that it hasn't happened before. We stayed there for another two hours and Pierre could not be found. It was getting late and everyone was starting to leave, so we left.
Monza is the most important economic, industrial and administrative center of the Brianza sub-region, being the third-largest city in Lombardy, with a population of about 120,000 inhabitants. When people think of Monza, the first thing that comes to mind is the famous Formula 1 Grand Prix that is held here every year.
Although many may think that Milan eclipses this smaller city, Monza should not be dismissed, having an absolutely sublime historical architecture, such as the Cathedral and the Leoni Bridge, but also features the huge Parco di Monza and of course the famous Formula 1 Autodromo.
The historic center of Monza stretches over a large area and in this area, you can find most historical sites and a guided tour of the history of cities.
Three months have passed since the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Three months since I first saw Pierre Gasly.
Although I have pictures of the two of us, I can't help but regret the fact that I didn't see him then; I will probably never see him again.
The exams passed and to relax completely my father and I got tickets to the Italian Grand Prix.
What I didn't know was that my father had taken VIP tickets.
That means we're going to the paddock.
Does that mean I can meet Pierre?
I tried not to have too many hopes, in the end, there are thousands of people there, I can't meet him, can I?
I didn't meet him on Friday. It had been the two practice sessions, everyone was as relaxed as possible, my father took pictures with everyone he saw, but Pierre was nowhere to be seen.
On Saturday we were late and did not catch the practice, but we saw the qualifications. Pierre starts from the tenth position. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations for tomorrow's race for Pierre.
And man I was wrong about that.
The whole race I was speechless. I heard my father from lap 23 and to the end cursing the accident that took Charles Leclerc out of the race.
My eyes were only on car number 10. I had the impression that I was blinking only when the camera moved to another car. I forgot to breathe when I saw the overtaking he was doing.
But he won.
Pierre Gasly won in Monza. His first ever Formula One career win and it was my home race.
Before we went out in the paddock looking for Pierre, after the premiere, I wiped away the tears I didn't know I had.
It wasn't hard for me to find him. Where there were a lot of people screaming and chanting, he must have been there too.
And I was right. He is enjoying his first victory with the whole team. Everyone wanted to hug and congratulate him.
As if he noticed my presence among the hundreds of people who were there, Pierre looked at me. I noticed his face light up and he came towards me.
"Y/N!" he says and hugs me.
I'm sure my father was shocked somewhere in the back. I hadn't told him that I had met Pierre, but after this hug, I will definitely have to explain to him what the situation is.
"Congratulations!" I tell him and I smile broadly. "First victory! Wow!"
He shrugs nonchalantly.
"I was lucky."
I laugh and hit him playfully in the shoulder.
"With Hamilton being penalized? You would have overtaken him without that penalty."
He looked into my eyes.
"I haven't found you after the race in Brazil."
The fact that he remembered had taken me by surprise. I was sure he couldn't remember the fact that he had proposed to me to stay on the circuit so that he could see me one more time.
I was sure that the second he left, he forgot what I looked like and forgot my name.
But no. He still knew me. He still knew my name and knew we had to see each other.
"I haven't seen you there before and I left after about two hours, it was getting late."
"I'm sorry, the teamwork had taken longer than I initially anticipated. When I went to look for you, no one was there. Then I realized I didn't even have your phone number. I tried to look for you on Instagram, but do you know how many girls are there with your name?"
I laughed.
"Well, I could give my phone number to the race winner now, if he wants it, of course. Do you think he would accept it?" you ask laughing.
Pierre blushes and bites his lip.
"I'm sure he would accept."
I take out of my bag the notebook and pen I was carrying with me to receive the drivers' autographs and write my phone number. I hand him the sheet just as Pierre is being taken by some engineers to the garage to celebrate the victory.
I laugh and wave at him.
I was at home with my father, watching a boring movie on Netflix. I've been looking at the phone constantly since last night, waiting for a message from Pierre but I haven't received anything.
"Ugh, this movie is so boring," I say and take my phone off the table. "Let me look for a more interesting one."
That's when I receive a message from a number I didn't save. I received a picture.
It was the picture with the prize Pierre received.
"The winner of the race has received your number and is wondering if you are free to dine with him."
I bit my lip, unable to control the smile on my face.
"If the winner of the race wants to go out on a date with me, who am I to say no?"
"8 o'clock?"
"I'll send you the address right away."

4 times Draco showed his love and one time he said it.
requested by anon !
Draco x Reader
taglist - @chaoticgirl04
summary : Basically events that show Draco’s love language
warning - not completely edited.
an- these are spread out between the years and not in chronological order btw. also please send in more requests I’ve been feeling inspired lately.
“I’m so exhausted.” You huffed as you laid next to Draco on the floor trying to work on your potions essay.
You were convinced that Snape was giving you so much work to torture you.
“Then go to sleep.” Draco said as he worked on his homework next to you.
You almost laughed, it was easy for him Snape seemed to like him and Snape liked no one.
“I need to do good on this essay.”
“When’s it due?” He asked still not looking up.
“Tomorrow.” You sighed.
“Take a nap it’ll help you think.”
You were going to retaliate and get back to work but Draco picked you up and placed you on the bed which you easily sunk into.
“Fine make sure you wake me up in an hour.” You drawled before turning on your side.
It didn’t take long for you to fall asleep but you were asleep for far longer than you expected to be.
You woke up and jolted up right when you saw the sunlight pouring in from the windows.
“DRACO YOU DIDN'T WAKE ME.” You said shaking him awake.
“Calm down woman, I did it for you.” He huffed in a drowsy voice still half asleep.
Sure enough right next to you on the night stand was 4 feet of parchment rolled up on a scroll. You didn’t need to check the scroll to know that it was perfect.
You turned to thank him but he was already asleep. You pressed a quick kiss to his cheek before running off to your own dorm.
Draco wasn’t actually asleep he smiled rubbing the spot where you kissed him and reached for the homework that he put aside in  order to do yours.
-
“Ready to lose Malfoy?” You said as you adjusted your quidditch uniform.
“Please, Slytherin is going to win.” Draco said.
“I’ll have you know our team is amazing, and we have an amazing chaser .”
“Well my team has a great seeker.” He drawled smirking. “Probably better than your chaser.”
“I hope you feel the same way when y/h wins.” You taunted.
“I’m not worried.”
“Well you should be.” You laughed before kissing a kiss to his lips. “Good luck, you’ll need it.”
“We’ll see about that.” He chuckled.
Quidditch was exhilarating and you were so busy trying to get the quaffle through the hoops you didn’t notice Adrian Pucey flying at you full speed.
You fell right off your broom. The moment you hit the ground you knew you had broken something and you groaned in pain.
Your team kept playing above you, it was quidditch after all injuries happened. You spotted Draco chasing after the snitch neck in neck with your seeker. He seemed to see you and he immediately flew towards you leaving the other seeker to follow the snitch on their own.
“What happened.” He asked kneeling next to you.
“That prat Pucey pushed me off my broom.” You groaned.
“Malfoy get back to the game I can take Ms.Y/l/n from here.” Madam Pomfrey said as she ran up to you.
Draco didn’t move as he knelt next to you, you were about to tell him to go when Lee announced that Y/h had caught the snitch.
“Did you lose because of me?” You asked feeling sorry.
“It’s just a quidditch game.” He said smiling at you.
Draco’s teammates flew down, no doubt to yell at him.
“Sorry.” You said.
“It’s fine, I can handle them. I’ll meet you at the hospital wing.” He said before walking towards his team.
You fell asleep as soon as Madam Pomfrey gave you that healing potion to mend your broken bones.
You woke with a groan, the room was pitch black except for a small candle next to you.
“Draco?” You asked taking in the blonde boy who was half a sleep in a chair next to your bed.
“Oh good you’re awake.” Draco said stretching.
“How long was I out.”
“Two days.” He said.
“You were here for two days?”
“Don’t flatter yourself, I came and went.” He said. “I’ll be back, I’m going to get Madam Pomfrey and tell her you woke up.
Madam Pomfrey walked in with a sour look on her face Draco in tow behind her.
“Of Course you pick to wake up at the middle of the night.” She huffed. “And you, didn’t I tell you to go back to your common room.”
“I did.” Draco said. “I just came to see if she was up yet and she woke up.”
“Of Course.” Madam Pomfrey snorted searching for a salve to give you.
“Malfoy get a bandage from my cupboard will you, might as well be helpful while you’re here.” She said and Draco obliged.
“The boy is lying, he hasn’t budged all weekend, I basically had to push him out the door to get him to go to meals.” She chuckled as she treated your bones.
You grinned at that and you felt your face burn up.
“Here is the bandage.” Draco said handing her the wraps.
Madam Pomfrey worked quickly.
“All good to go. Mister Malfoy I expect you’ll escort Miss Y/l/n to her Common Room?” She said.
Draco nodded as he helped you get out of the bed, still a bit sore.
“Thank you Madam Pomfrey.”
As you walked out of the Hospital Wing you noticed Adrian Pucey sleeping on one of the beds with a rather awful looking black eye. You almost felt a bit bad but the pain that you felt almost everywhere pushed those feelings away. You pressed a kiss to Draco’s cheek.
“What was that for.” Draco said with a faint smile.
“Nothing in particular.” You hummed.
-
“I hate Granger.” You huffed as you sat across from Draco.
“Oh? Why’s that.” Draco asked looking up from his breakfast.
“I want to be the best at one class, just one class that’s all I’m asking but no she beats in me in every class.” You huffed. “Even divination! and Trelawney doesn’t even like her.”
“Granger is annoying but you have to admit she has her wits.” Draco said mindlessly.
Y/n glared at him.
“Sorry, she’s and idiot.” He quickly corrected himself.
“I studied all night for this Transfiguration exam and she still got better marks than me.”
“You could obliviate her, make her forget everything she’s ever learned.” Draco suggested.
“I don’t think that would work.” You said quirking up your brow.
“Worth a shot.” He shrugged.
“Funny.” You sighed. “Guess I’ll have to conform with being the second best.”
“MIght have to conform with third because if I’m correct I have higher marks than you in Potions and Longbottom is beating you in Herbology.” He said sarcastically.
“Wow, You’re so kind to me.” You said sarcastically.
You felt like you were sweating from the stress. In all you years you had never been so stressed over a test especially in Charms which was supposed to be your strong suit.
Sure enough Hermoine was just flying through the test. She was about to flip to the next page when she threw her pen on the ground.
“Ms.Granger is there a problem?” Flitwick said.
“My answers keep changing, I think this quill has been tampered with.” She said shaking her head.
“I think you’re going to have to start over Ms.Granger, here I’ll give you a new quill.” Flitwick said.
Hermoine let out a defeated sigh. That alone gave you enough motivation to finish the test.
“Draco did you tamper with Hermoine’s quill?”
"I haven’t but thanks for the idea.” He said.
“So you’re telling me you didn’t make Hermoine’s quill change answers.”
“Nope.” He said. “I’ve got to go to quidditch, see you later.” He pressed a kiss to your cheek before running off.
You didn’t miss the quill sticking out of his robe that was identical to Hermoine’s.
-
Amycus Carrow stood in front of the class walking back and forth.
“Today we will be practicing the Cruciatus Curse.” She drawled. “You’re all familiar with this one, correct?”
Everyone nodded.
“Y/l/n, Malfoy get up here.”
You gulped shakedly walking up.
“Mister Malfoy, practice on Y/l/n.” She said smiling.
You tried to show him that it was fine by smiling at him but he didn’t stop shaking.
“No.” He said.
“What.” Amycus snapped. Draco hadn't been one of the students to defy her orders.
“I said no.” Draco huffed. “I won’t take orders from a halfblood.”
You wanted to yell at Draco, how daft was he. Now Amycus was going to hurt him.
“Very well if you wont, I will.” Amycus snapped his wand at you.
“CRUCIO.” You felt your skin burn and fell to the ground with screams.
You heard someone yell but all you could hear were your own screams.
You fell over once the pain stopped.
Your vision was blurry and you didn’t see that Draco had hexed Amycus.
He pulled you into his arms as the class just stood in shock.
“No one says a thing or you’ll end up like Amycus.” He said to the class as he obliviated Amycus’ mind. “I’m taking her to Pomfrey, not that it’s anyone’s business.”
“Draco why would you do that, he could’ve hurt you.” You groaned.
“Hush, don’t move it’ll only make the pain worse.” He said holding you closer as he carried you to Pomfrey.
-
You laid in Draco’s arms as you both laid on his bed.
He was running his hands through your hair.
“I love you.” He said. “I don’t think i’ve told you that but I do, I have for along time i’m just not the best at expressing my feelings.”
“You show your love in your own way.” You hummed. “And I love you too.”

Mammon’s Valentine
pairing: mammon x gn!mc
word count: 2.4k
summary: You decide to get a Valentine's gift for each of the brothers, starting with Mammon.
a/n: i know this is late but i wanted to do it anyway lol also, let me know if you want any for the undateables. i’m going to write one for each brother, but was unsure for the side characters.
part one of the valentine’s day series
“Have you ever heard of Valentine’s Day?” It was an innocent question, one that had been lingering on your mind for a while. As you slowly spin around in circles on your desk chair, you wait for Mammon’s answer. The holiday was just around the corner, and you were hoping you could do something special for the boys, something to show them how much they meant to you. Of course, you wouldn’t be surprised if at least some of them knew about the holiday, but you’d like it to be a surprise. You wanted to give all of them something unique, something that you thought would fit each of their personalities. While you had plenty of ideas for some of the brothers, others, well…
“Never heard of it.”
A smile formed on your lips from the demon’s response. That’s what you were ideally hoping for; you thought he’d have the cutest reaction to being surprised. Plus, if he was unaware of the holiday, he wouldn’t be suspicious or expecting anything from you. It was perfect for the most part. However… Mammon was one of the brothers you struggled with when thinking up ideas. Not only did Mammon own just about anything he’d ever want, but he also had the money to buy whatever he wanted.
You could work with this, at least. “Say, Mammon, are you prepared for the exam tomorrow?” You decided to change the topic before he had the chance to ask you about it. “I can help you study if you want. Since it’s all about human history, I’m pretty much considered an expert at this.” You send him a cheeky wink, to which the white-haired demon finds himself blushing over.
“I’ll have ya know that I’m plenty prepared!” His cheeks puff out as his eyebrows furrowed together. “But if you’re that desperate to spend time with me, then I won’t tell ya no…”
It’s been nearly a full day since you last spent time with Mammon. The two of you have already taken your exams, and now you were left to focus on a gift you could give the demon. A few ideas have popped into your head since then, but none of them seemed good enough in your opinion. Buying him something was out of the question; anything nice that he would like you could hardly afford. And while you did want to spoil him, you just didn’t have the means to do so.
It was when you were lounging across Asmodeus’ bed, the two of you having your usual gossip session that you came up with an idea. You were scrolling through your D.D.D and landed on an ad for stuffed animals. They were cute and small, and something Mammon would probably enjoy. However, you could do one better. Why not try to make it yourself? “Hey, Asmodeus,” you glance over at the demon who’s applying makeup in front of his mirror, “do you have any thread or fabric I could use? I want to try making a stuffed animal.”
Asmodeus glances back at you, a thoughtful expression on his face. “A stuffed animal? That’s cute! However, I don’t think I have any fabric that would be good for something like that.” You frown at his words, though nod your head. You supposed you could always just go out and buy some yourself. “Oh!” Asmodeus snaps his fingers as a sudden thought comes to him. “Why don’t you ask Leviathan? He’s always making clothes for cosplay, and I know he can make plushies. I’ve even seen him make a pillow for Belphie once.”
“That’s a great idea!” You beam at the thought and hop off his bed. “Thanks, Asmo!” You place a quick kiss on his cheek before darting out of his room.
You weren’t completely hopeless when it came to the art of making plushies. You had made a panda once, and you even gave it to Mammon afterward when he seemed to like it. That being said, you were hoping that Leviathan would lend you the items you needed. However, it was always hard to tell with Leviathan depending on his mood. You’re sitting on one of his bean bags as you watch the blue-haired demon play one of his games. He had invited you in some time ago, though he told you to keep your business to yourself until he finished the current level he was on. That was… five levels ago.
“Levi?” You fiddle with your fingers as you watch the character on the screen fight a dragon. You weren’t sure if he was winning or not. “I actually dropped by to ask you a question.”
“Can it wait?” The demon asks between the sounds of buttons being smashed. “I’m trying to beat this level and talking to you distracts me. I need the utmost amount of focus to get past this level. I want to be the first one to clear this level,” he glances over at you briefly before bringing his attention back to the screen, “it shouldn’t be too much longer.” It had already been thirty minutes.
A sigh leaves you as you settle into the bag. “I just wanted to borrow some items from you so I could make you and Mammon a Valentine’s gift.” You watch with a concealed smile as Leviathan immediately freezes. While this was supposed to be a gift for Mammon, you did need ideas for Leviathan as well, and you figured that plushies would also be in the realm of things he liked. Plus, you knew this would speed things up for you. After all, you only had a few days before Valentine’s Day and you needed gifts for all the brothers. That would be no small feat.
“Y-You…” He’s looking at you with wide eyes, the controller now on the floor. You watch as the screen flashes a “GAME OVER” message. “You wanted to make me a Valentine’s gift? Someone as socially awkward as me? Me and Mammon? Sure, I understand the appeal of making a gift for someone as cool as Mammon, but me? A yucky otaku?” You stifle a laugh behind your hand.
“Yes, Leviathan. I wanted to make you a Valentine’s Day gift.” You left out the part where you’d be making everyone a Valentine’s gift; you figured he didn’t need to know that.
With a bright red face, he gets up from where he was sitting and brings you over to one of his drawers. “Everything I have to make crafts with is in here. Take whatever you want.” He has an arm covering his face before hurrying out of the room. You watch with a smile before returning to the task at hand.
“Wow,” you look up from where you’re sitting on your bedroom floor to see Asmodeus leaning on your doorframe. You were in the middle of putting together the first plush for Mammon. You were surrounded by pieces of fabric and sewing string, and you may or may not have pricked yourself a couple of times in the process. Bandaids littered your fingers and Asmodeus found himself chuckling. “You are a disaster with a needle, my love.”
“So I’m finding out.” You respond, your attention still on the plush in your hands. “But it’s coming together nicely, don’t you think? It’s definitely better than the panda I made.”
“It was very homemade.” Asmodeus agrees. “But that was the charm.”
“So I’ve heard.” You hum while working on the plush. “I figured a golden-colored cat would be good for Mammon. I know he isn’t Satan, but he also has a soft spot for cats.” You can hear Asmodeus hum in approval while he sits across from you. “This is leagues above the panda plush.” You’re looking down at the cat in approval, holding it up so you can check it out from every angle. “Do you think he’ll like it?”
Asmodeus stares at you with a quirked brow. “Darling, he’ll like anything you give him. You could gift him a rock with a bow tied around it and he’d get all red in the face while swearing up and down that it’s the nicest gift anyone’s given him.” You laugh at Asmodeus’ honesty. You weren’t sure that was quite true, but you were happy to hear it nonetheless. “I’m assuming this is for Valentine’s Day?”
“I figured you’d know about the holiday.” It didn’t come as a surprise that the Avatar of Lust knew about a human holiday centered around love. “Yes, I plan on giving a gift to each of you.” Secrets were always out the window when Asmodeus was involved. “I figured I’d get a head start with Mammon’s.”
“Smart. He’d become the next Avatar of Envy if he saw you giving a gift to anyone else before him.” Asmodeus chuckles as he gets back up. “I’ll leave you to it then. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for me.” There’s a cheeky smile on his lips and you can’t help but roll your eyes.
“Easy tiger.”
You nervously linger by Mammon’s bedroom door. You’d been standing outside his room for the last five minutes, unsure if you should make yourself known or not. You didn’t know why you were suddenly nervous to give him his gift; maybe he wouldn’t like it? Then again, Asmodeus was confident that Mammon would like anything you gave him. Clearing your throat, you bring up your hand to knock on his door.
Within seconds it swings open, revealing a red-faced Mammon. You tilt your head to the side, confused as to why he’s so red. “What’s up?” You asked with a small smile.
“You’re askin’ me what’s up? Shouldn’t I be askin’ you that?” Fair point. With that, you find yourself stepping around the other and walking into his room.
“I brought you something.”
“I brought ya somethin’.”
The two of you stare at each other in silence before Mammon awkwardly clears his throat. “Uh, y-you go first.” His face has become redder since you first walked in.
“Okay,” You eye him cautiously before holding out the bag in front of you. “I brought you something for Valentine’s Day. I know you don’t know much about it, but in the human realm, it’s a day where you show the people you love how much you care about them. It can be for family, friends, or partners.” There's a smile on your lips as you explain the holiday to Mammon. “I thought it would be fun, so I made you a gift!” Shyly, you hold the bag out for Mammon to take. The demon, who looks as if he might faint from the slightest bit of movement, takes the bag from you. He carefully opens it, a dopey smile blooming across his lips as he pulls out the stuffed cat. “What… what do you think?” This time it’s you who’s feeling shy.
“I love it.” He responds in a dreamy voice. “It’s goin’ right with the panda. They’ll be best friends.” A relieved laugh leaves you, and you feel as if a weight has been lifted from your shoulders.
“That makes me happy to hear, Mammon!” You pause when remembering that the other also had something to say when you came in. “But what was it you were saying earlier?”
“O-Oh, right.” And just like that, the second eldest is fumbling with his words again, nearly dropping the bag and the plush in the process. Quickly, he puts the gift down on his shelf and dashes toward his bed. “I, uh, well-- when ya asked me about Valentine’s Day the other day, I ended up doin’ some research. I wanted to know what you were talkin’ about, and then I saw it was a holiday that ya celebrated with those closest to ya.” He’s finding it hard to speak as he grabs something, hiding it behind his back before you could see it. “And, and so I decided I should get ya somethin’ since we’re close and all.” You think he might pass out if he keeps going. “But don’t get the wrong idea! I’m only doin’ this so ya don’t feel left out and all. Ya should feel honored that The Great Mammon would even spend time on ya.”
You laugh quietly as you watch Mammon fumble around with whatever he’s holding. There’s a lightness in your chest, and you can’t help but feel happy. “You’re saying that you got me something for Valentine’s Day?”
“Yes!” Before you can process what’s happening, Mammon’s shoving something into your arms. You look down to see a box of chocolates and a small white card. “Just-- just don’t let Beel around the chocolates. The second he catches wind about it they’ll be devoured.” He’s looking at his door as he talks to you, trying to find anything else to keep his eyes on. “So… I just hope ya like it. I know it’s not much but…”
“I love it.” There’s a bright smile on your lips as you stare down at the chocolate. “And the card, did you make that yourself? It’s beautiful.” His cheeks are redder now.
“Yeah, I had some time to myself and when I researched it, I was told that Valentine’s Day gifts are better homemade. It uh, the card,” he takes a deep breath, “it says how much I cherish our friendship.” He blows air into his cheeks, his eyebrows furrowing in embarrassment.
“It’s perfect.” With this, he finally looks at you. “I really do love it. It’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for me.” Your cheeks are becoming warm and you’re sure you’re sporting a similar look to Mammon now. “If you want, do you maybe want to share the chocolates with me? And we can spend the rest of the day watching movies.”
“Just the two of us?” He’s trying not to sound too hopeful, though the look on his face is hard to miss.
“Just the two of us.”
A wide smile forms on his lips and he tugs at his jacket. “Well, I suppose if the human wants to spend their day with The Great Mammon, who am I to tell them no?”

20) "I love you so much and I would do anything for you, but if you ever ask me to tell them to put pineapples on the pizza ever again we’re fucking done.“
Jiang Cheng is nervous as hell. He knows he studied enough for this last exam—maybe even more than for his business exam—but this is where his heart lies. This is what he really wants and if he fails this exam and doesn’t get his degree then he’ll be devastated.
He did nothing but study for this for the past two weeks—ever since he got his business degree out of the way, so his parents can’t say anything about it—and logically he knows he did all he could, but that doesn’t stop him from worrying.
Jiang Cheng arrived a little bit early for the exam, so he still has time to kill and he pulls out his phone. He kind of ghosted Nie Mingjue for the last few days, because he wanted to concentrate on his studies and Nie Mingjue has been surprisingly understanding about this, but right now he needs to text him.
‘About to go in’Jiang Cheng writes out and it’s not even a minute before he gets a reply.
‘I know you can do it, but good luck anyway! I’ll see you tomorrow. I love you’ is the reply he gets and Jiang Cheng smiles down at his phone.
‘I love you, too’he sends back before he pockets his phone again.
He and Nie Mingjue have been going strong for years at this point, but it’s still a little bit unreal whenever Nie Mingjue tells him he loves him.
Even after all these years Jiang Cheng can hardly believe that he got this lucky. He’s not even sure he wants to get used to that feeling, if he’s being honest.
Jiang Cheng tries to cling to that feeling instead of giving in to his nervousness and soon enough it’s time for him to go in.
The exam itself is a whole blur and it’s only when Jiang Cheng leaves the room that he can breathe easy again.
He’s pretty sure he didn’t ace it—there were one or two questions that tripped him up—but he’s reasonably sure that he also didn’t fail it and that’s really all that matters.
As long as he gets the degree he is happy with everything. He doesn’t need to have the best marks, he will leave those expectations to his business degree and his mother.
Jiang Cheng is still debating how he’s going to celebrate the end of his exams on his own while he’s on the way home and he finds that he doesn’t really want to do anything.
He wants to celebrate it with Nie Mingjue but they are only going to see each other the next day and Jiang Cheng figures that a relaxing day with a new TV show might be a good time as well.
There’s no need to do anything fancy after all.
He is just debating if he should get pizza delivered or not when he opens the door to his apartment, only to find that it’s already unlocked.
Jiang Cheng frowns because he’s absolutely certain that he locked it twice like he always does when he leaves but then Nie Mingjue’s voice reaches him.
“Welcome home!” he yells through the apartment, moments before his head pokes around a corner.
“What are you doing here?” Jiang Cheng asks, but he can’t help the smile on his face. “I thought we were on for tomorrow?”
“We still are,” Nie Mingjue says with a shrug as he comes up to Jiang Cheng to pull him into a kiss. “But I wanted to celebrate with you today,” he says when they part and Jiang Cheng beams up at him.
“I love you,” Jiang Cheng tells him and is rewarded with a kiss for it.
“Love you, too. How did it go?”
“It was okay,” Jiang Cheng says with a shrug as he toes off his shoes. “I’m pretty sure I didn’t ace it, but I think I passed.”
“Of course you did,” Nie Mingjue gives back as if he never expected anything else and Jiang Cheng is so happy to have the exam behind him and to have Nie Mingjue here with him that he steps forward and slings his arms around Nie Mingjue’s middle.
“I’m so proud of you,” Nie Mingjue lowly tells him and presses a kiss to Jiang Cheng’s head, bringing his arms up around him to hug him.
“I don’t even have a grade yet,” Jiang Cheng grumbles but he also doesn’t let go of Nie Mingjue.
“Doesn’t matter,” he easily gives back. “I’m always proud of you.”
“Stop it,” Jiang Cheng whines but he can’t deny how happy he is, here with Nie Mingjue.
“Never,” Nie Mingjue chuckles and then he simply continues to hold Jiang Cheng for a long time before he speaks up again. “So, what did you have planned for today?”
“Mh, nothing, really,” Jiang Cheng mumbles, his face still pressed to Nie Mingjue’s chest. “Thought about ordering in and relaxing.”
“Alright,” Nie Mingjue nods. “That’s what we’ll do then.”
“Did you have anything planned?” Jiang Cheng asks in return but Nie Mingjue is already pushing him away, so that he can get the phone.
Jiang Cheng sighs, because he’s pretty sure that Nie Mingjue has some plans for tomorrow and he hopes that he didn’t ruin it for him, but since Nie Mingjue is not outright saying anything Jiang Cheng trusts that it will be okay.
“Go sit, I have it handled,” Nie Mingjue calls over from the kitchen, and Jiang Cheng smiles when he realizes that he’s getting the flyer of their favourite restaurant.
As if Jiang Cheng needs that to know what he wants to order.
“You know where, right?” Jiang Cheng calls after him, despite knowing that this is like Nie Mingjue’s home.
“What do you take me for,” he predictably yells back and Jiang Cheng laughs.
Gods, he can’t wait for them to move in together. Now that he’s almost done with his degrees that day is getting closer and closer. Jiang Cheng’s pride wouldn’t allow him to move in with Nie Mingjue before he could pay his half of the rent, but once he has his degrees it will be different. Jiang Cheng already looked at some job offerings and he’s reasonably sure that he’ll get something soon enough.
And then they can finally start their life together for real.
“Your exam is over, what the hell are you thinking so hard for?” Nie Mingjue teasingly asks and flicks Jiang Cheng’s forehead.
“Nothing,” Jiang Cheng gives back and lets himself fall face first into the couch, body going completely boneless as he relaxes.
“Liar, liar, pants on fire,” Nie Mingjue grumbles and Jiang Cheng chuckles.
“You just want me to take them off,” he gives back and he knows exactly what kind of face Nie Mingjue makes even without looking when there’s a brief pause.
“I wouldn’t be opposed,” Nie Mingjue eventually says and Jiang Cheng turns his head just far enough to peek up at him.
“Later, maybe,” he says, though he knows that it will be a definitely.
He hasn’t seen Nie Mingjue in a few days and Jiang Cheng has needs after all.
“Food first,” Nie Mingjue decides. “What do you want?”
“You know what I want,” Jiang Cheng says and does his best not to laugh out loud when Nie Mingjue makes the most disgusted face Jiang Cheng has ever seen.
"I love you so much and I would do anything for you, but if you ever ask me to tell them to put pineapples on the pizza ever again we’re fucking done,” he tells him and now Jiang Cheng can’t hold on any longer.
He laughs and then he laughs some more when Nie Mingjue fake glares at him and it feels so good to be as relaxed as this for a change.
With exams and stuff Jiang Cheng didn’t have a chance to laugh like this for too long now.
“Aww, but my soul, don’t I deserve a treat after my exams?” Jiang Cheng tries as he does his best to pout at Nie Mingjue.
“What you’re asking for is a punishment,” Nie Mingjue grumbles but he also leans over to press a kiss to Jiang Cheng’s head and so Jiang Cheng knows he has won.
Nie Mingjue quickly places their order and when he’s done with that, he climbs over the back of the couch and falls down on top of Jiang Cheng, knocking the breath right out of him.
“Uff,” Jiang Cheng wheezes. “What’s that for?”
“Making me order that abomination,” Nie Mingjue says as he arranges Jiang Cheng to his liking, mainly meaning that he slides off Jiang Cheng so he can hug him close.
“Aww, but you did it for me anyway,” Jiang Cheng says and smiles at Nie Mingjue. “I have the bestest boyfriend in the world.”
“Yeah, I hear he’s decent,” Nie Mingjue gives back with a serious nod, making Jiang Cheng frown.
“Hey, you’re not allowed to slander my boyfriend in my own home,” he tells Nie Mingjue with a light slap to his shoulder and then Jiang Cheng stills when he sees a suspicious glint in Nie Mingjue’s eyes.
“What about slandering your fiancé instead?” Nie Mingjue lowly asks as he pulls out a small black box.
“Mingjue,” Jiang Cheng breathes out because what the hell is even happening.
They are not even living together yet!
“Wanyin,” Nie Mingjue gives back, just as serious as before. “Will you marry me and make me the happiest man alive?”
“You mean you aren’t happy now?” Jiang Cheng blurts out because of course he does.
He’s stupid and caught off guard and so happy he can’t even think straight.
“I’m decently happy, I’d say,” Nie Mingjue gives back with a teasing smile and Jiang Cheng buries his face in Nie Mingjue’s neck. “What do you say, my heart?”
“We’re not even living together! We’re doing this all out of order!”
“If we were doing this all out of order I would have presented you with adoption papers,” Nie Mingjue patiently gives back and Jiang Cheng jerks back, narrowing his eyes at Nie Mingjue.
“No, not yet,” Nie Mingjue says, clearly reading the question in Jiang Cheng’s eyes. “But yes. Kids will happen eventually, too. You said often enough that you want at least one.”
“But you were always on the fence about that.”
“Yeah, but then I realized that I want to have it all with you,” Nie Mingjue casually gives back. “But that really comes after living together and being married for at least a year.”
“Mingjue,” Jiang Cheng breathes out because he feels like he could burst with happiness and love for this man.
“The living arrangement is just a technicality. It’s a given we’ll move in as soon as you sign your first employment contract, right? So I thought why not plan ahead a little bit with this.”
“Fuck, I love you so much,” Jiang Cheng breathes out and then pulls Nie Mingjue in for a long and thorough kiss.
“That’s nice and all, but you still didn’t answer me,” Nie Mingjue says when they part and Jiang Cheng rolls his eyes.
“Yes. Of course it’s yes. As if it could ever be anything else! Now give that ring here!”
“Good, because you had me worried there for a second,” Nie Mingjue teases him because of course there was nothing to worry about in the first place and they both know it.
Jiang Cheng’s heart does a funny little thing in his chest when Nie Mingjue slides the ring on his finger and Jiang Cheng never saw himself as the jewellery-wearing type, but he already knows that he’s never, ever going to take that ring back off again.
“I love you, my beautiful, wonderful, brilliant fiancé,” Nie Mingjue whispers as he peppers Jiang Cheng’s face with kisses.
“Stop it,” he complains, but it’s only half-hearted at best.
“Never,” Nie Mingjue promises and then simply continues with his mission until the doorbell goes off.
“That’s our food,” Jiang Cheng mutters when Nie Mingjue doesn’t get moving immediately and Nie Mingjue huffs out a sigh.
“And I already take second place,” he grumbles but he does get up to get their food and Jiang Cheng stares after him, hardly believing what just happened and when Nie Mingjue moves out of sight, Jiang Cheng turns his gaze towards his new ring.
It’s the most beautiful thing Jiang Cheng has ever seen.
He only tears his eyes away from it when Nie Mingjue comes back, their pizzas balanced on one hand, because if he’s being honest, Nie Mingjue is the most beautiful thing he has ever seen.
When Nie Mingjue leans down to put their food on the table Jiang Cheng darts in for a quick kiss but when Nie Mingjue tries to deepen it, he pulls away.
“I’m not eating cold pizza, again,” he decisively says and opens his carton to get right in while the pizza is still nice and hot. He did learn his lesson the last time after all.
“I want a divorce,” Nie Mingjue says, his voice absolutely deadpan and his face disgusted when he sees a piece of pineapple slide off Jiang Cheng’s slice but Jiang Cheng only smiles sweetly at him.
“Too late. There’s no getting rid of me or my disgusting pizza taste ever again,” he happily says and Nie Mingjue’s face immediately softens.
“Fine, I guess,” he still heaves out as if it’s the worst thing in the world but when Jiang Cheng leans in for a kiss, Nie Mingjue pushes him away with a hand to his face.
“I have to draw the line somewhere,” Nie Mingjue tells him and Jiang Cheng bursts out laughing again.
He hasn’t been this happy in a long while and he’s looking forward to being happy like this every day of his life now.

Hi boo! I wanted to take part in your event if that's okay! I'd like the character(s) to be a surprise and I'm also completely open to poly ships, love them, even! I'm Sunny, She/Her. I'm the good student type, very focused on my studies, determined and ambitious, but as soon as I get out of class, I love the unexpected, the unknown, the adventures. As much as I like planning my far ahead future, I really enjoy not knowing what tomorrow will bring, like buying random plane tickets and leaving on my own without a dime in my pocket. I spend most of my time reading, writing, studying, traveling whenever I can. My love languages would be words of affirmation and physical touch. Tell me if you need more info, thank you so much for this event ❤️

MHA Match up - Touya Todoroki/Dabi X Keigo Tamaki x Reader (College AU)
Summary: You’ve been hitting the books a little too hard lately, studying for finals like your life depended on it and maybe it did. Touya was amazingly helpful, being your study buddy throughout the whole ordeal. It helped that he was a year above you, he had already been there and done that with a lot of the Gen Ed courses you were taking. Keigo was far more relaxed about the finals, preferring not to stress over them, but it was easy for him to say, he picked up on things so easily and his photographic memory did him so many favors. It came in handy in other ways too. While Dabi was your study buddy, Keigo was the one taking care of you both, feeding you, making sure you guys did find your way to your bed after you just couldn’t stay up any longer. You wouldn’t have believed that Keigo’s carefree attitude would rub off on either one of you but now that finals are over the three of you were off on a surprise adventure that was all Dabi’s idea.
Word Count: 3282
A/N: Thank you so much for joining my Fall in Love Event! I hope you like how this has played out! I really love the dynamic between them. Thanks again!

You place your feet on the dashboard, your bare feet wiggling as you’d removed your sandals, this unplanned road trip was just what you needed after the dreaded finals week was officially over! It couldn’t have ended at a better time. You’d been ready to crawl into bed and sleep the moment you returned to your apartment. Those plans were derailed obviously, but you knew something was up as you’d been heading toward the bus stop, you’d left your car because Touya had dropped you off for your last exam that morning before he headed to work. Keigo had been still asleep in your bed when you both had been getting ready. To be fair, that man had the world's worst sleep schedule.
Warm fingers slid into your own, you stopped walking so quickly that Dabi had almost knocked you off your feet, his low growl in your ear as he curled his arm around your middle to keep you on your feet was well worth his irritation as you turned to look up at him. “I thought you were working!” You exclaim not at all bothered by the fact that a few of the college kids leaving have to weave around you both, but you don’t care. Your attention was all for him.
His fingers squeeze your own a little tighter his own way of telling you he’s not happy about the earphones in your ears, it was one of the reasons you hadn’t heard him call your name when you’d left the Science Building. He’d been waiting to catch you, but he’d just missed you having gotten taught up in a conversation with Tomura and Toga, when they had spotted him waiting for you. Getting the petite blonde to stop talking was nearly impossible. Thus he’d cut her off and told him he’d catch them later as he’d seen you leave through the crowd.
Touya was the one always harping on you about being aware of your surroundings. It was a safety thing, he was just trying to protect you. He knew some horrible things happened on College Campuses and he didn’t want any of those to happen to you, it was one of the reasons usually Keigo or himself would meet you outside your late night classes. It also said that he didn’t want to have an argument about them.
“I took a few days off -” He started but was immediately cut off as your hand raised to press your wrist against his forehead, checking to make sure he wasn’t sick. He looked a little flushed along the cheeks as your warm skin pressed against his forehead reminds him of what his mom used to do, when he was little. You’re much more attractive for worrying about him. Not that he doesn’t think he’s mom was cute, he does, but you're one of the ones he wants to spend the rest of his life with, so it’s different. That was another conversation to be had later, but he’d been working a lot of extra hours lately for something special, something you and Keigo weren’t aware of just why he was doing it, but Keigo knew something was up, that golden boy didn’t miss a damn thing and he was pretty sure he was snooping around his room when he’d been out.
“I’m fine,” he told you seriously, the scowl on his lips made you slid up on your tiptoes and plant a kiss on at the edge of his lips, just to hear him give a low growl as he curled his arm around your back and claim your mouth for a proper kiss, swallowing down your laughter and loving the feeling of your fingers in his hair. Yeah this was exactly where he wanted to be.
“Alright, Alright,” You tell him as you break away. “So why the time off?” The two of you had resumed walking as he led you toward his car. “It’s a surprise,” he told her with a grin, watching your face morph into a pout at the fact that he wasn’t going to tell you. Dabi already slid into the driver's seat by the time you stepped off the curb after shooting a hurried text to Keigo asking him if he knew what the surprise was. His only response was a winking emoji face which only caused you to round on the car to the passenger seat with an irritated huff. You hated being out of the loop when the guys planned things without you. It was a great little bonding time for them as they loved to tease you over what you didn’t know. You got them back though in ways that neither would ever forget.
“Don’t pout Princess,” Dabi told you with a smirk as he shot you a glance as he backed out of the parking spot and began to head toward the apartment you all shared. He wouldn’t be the first to admit the relationship the three of you had was a little odd, roommates turned shared lovers was not something that could easily be explained, but you didn’t need any labels, there was no jealousy in your relationship and things were usually open and relaxed, but today was the exception, it had to be as the surprise was for you and he refused to tell you, he was stubborn like that.
You round on him as he stops at a red light, you’d been shooting a flurry of texts back and forth with Keigo, Dabi knew because he could see the way your thumbs were flying from his peripheral. He expected you to start pestering him with questions so when you didn’t, he let his teeth sink into his lower lip, scraping his teeth over his own lip piercing as his fingers tightened on the steering wheel. He didn’t want to fight with you, but the silent treatment was making him antsy. “Baby,” You ask him, as you lean over the console, your hand pressing the rest of your body toward him, this position gives you too much close contact with placing your lips so close to his ear. “Will you please tell me where we’re going?”
Touya shot you a glance with his bright blue eyes slamming to the light as he waited for it to turn green. It would turn green soon, he was sure of it. “Touya,” you ask softly, he can hear the smile in your voice as you know you’re about to get him to crack. His sigh of defeat is music to your ears as you lean back in your seat with a satisfied grin sliding along your lips. “So -” You start, letting the word drag on, as he rubs his free hand along the side of his neck where your breath had fanned over him, you did that on purpose you knew all his weak spots. “Where are we going?” you ask him again, waiting expectantly. There was no way your plan would fail you.
He had just turned into the parking lot of the apartment and pulled into one of the spots as he shut off the car and pulled his keys from the ignition. “Do you really want to know?” he asked you as he clicked the doors to unlock, he cast you a sideways glance, you didn’t catch the smirk that slid along his lips. “Yes!” You can’t help but exclaim as you throw up your hands as if that’s the most obvious answer. “We are going on a road trip,” he kept this voice as uninterested as possible as he got out of the car and closed the door, able to hear your scream of frustration before you had even opened your door. His laughter that you could hear as he walked away, should not have caused you to smile a little, you were supposed to be mad at him!
He wasn’t running from you, but his long strides were taking him further and further away from you. He let his fingers drag through Keigo’s hair as the other had been loading some bags into his SUV. You guys were taking his vehicle because it was going to be far more comfortable to ride in than his two door Mustang. “She’s all yours Hawkeye,” he told him. Keigo curled his fingers into his shirt and hauled his mouth down to his own for a quick kiss, not about to let him disappear that easily. Dabi let his fingers curl along his shoulder before he pushed away from him. “How pissed is she?” Keigo wondered his gaze darting to where you were still sitting in the passenger seat of the car. “Very,” Dabi told him with a chuckle before he disappeared into the apartment to make sure they weren’t forgetting anything and he had some extra things to pack up away from prying eyes.
Keigo watched you for a moment as you slammed the car door shut, only to stare for a moment at your bag on the floorboard and have to open the car door again to get it out, so your attempt at proving your point was lost. He chuckled to himself, his fingers dragging forward through his blonde locks to fix them, as he came over to you, your bag hanging between your fingers. He took your bag and slung it over his shoulder as he curled his arms around you from behind his chin resting on your shoulder as he nuzzled against your neck. “What’s wrong Songbird?” he asked softly, his voice low and soothing, but he already knew, he knew how much you hated not being in the loop.
“Keigo,” you mutter his name, a soft prayer on your lips as you let your body sink against his own, all solid muscle and comfort. “He’s such an asshole,” you grumble and you can feel the Blonde smirk against your neck as he tilts his head, a single golden eye raising to peer up at you. “Tell me something I don’t know,” he tells you with a chuckle, his fingers digging against your sides and he’s tickling you before you can even truly suck in a breath to comment on his obvious bullshit answer. You’re laughter is filling the apartment parking lot and can do nothing more than wiggling against him, attempting to break free, but it’s half hearted as he drags you back against his chest and after a few more moments of torturing you, he’s stopped with the dragging of his fingers into your sides and they instead stroke along your sides in a tender moment of domestic bliss.
“How was your Exam?” he asks gently, enjoying the feeling of you in his arms. He won’t ever admit that he’s been a little left out given all the time Finals have taken up, but he understands; he’s just feeling lonely. Your fingers move to rest atop his much larger ones and you let your thumbs brush over his knuckles and he presses a kiss against your neck as he waits for your answer, his hip shifting to press against Dabi’s Mustang. “I think it went well, but just glad it’s over you know?” you told him and for a moment you let your head fall back against his chest. “Me too,” he can’t help but agree as he shifts your stance; he presses your back against the car as his mouth claims your own, his tongue sliding along your lower lip and your fingers tighten on his forearms as you feel his tongue enter your mouth.
Some time in between the lazy kisses between you two Touya had returned and he stood leaning over the open driver side door of Keigo’s SUV watching the two of you. Some of his friends wondered how his relationship revolved around two people, one of them another guy no less, some wondered how the three of you got along like you did, many wondered if jealousy would have played a role, the answer was no, not really. It might have been if Keigo wasn’t interested in him too. He knew how lucky he was. The love each of you felt for each other was equal, neither stood above the other as it should be. He might have continued to watch the two of you if it wasn’t for the fact, they did need to get on the road. He enjoyed watching the two of you. That didn’t mean he wouldn’t tease you two a little, better him than your damn nosy neighbors. You know the ones who had their opinions ready to pass out, no matter if you asked for it or not. He just didn’t like to share the two of you with anyone.
He whistled, the sound sharp and clear, one of those wolf whistles and Keigo knows it’s him and he’s also one of the more observant, so he’s very aware of the fact that he’s watching them. “Let’s put on a show for him, wadda ya say?” he murmured in your ear. Your low chuckle is the only answer he gets before your arms curl around his neck and press your lips against his own and he hooks his arms easily along your legs and your legs curl around his waist, but your breaking the kiss and resting your cheek on your arm that’s still curled along his neck over his shoulder as your gaze is on Touya’s lingering form.
You stick your tongue out at Dabi, aware by his scowl as his gaze sweeps the apartment lot, that he doesn’t like the fact that you two are being so chummy in public. He’s such a sucker for keeping you both safe, but his protective nature isn’t something that truly bothers either of you. “Do you know where we’re going?” you ask Keigo as he walks with you easily across the lot toward the car. “Not really, but he’s pretty tight-lipped about where, but he told me to take a few days off work about three weeks ago,” he told you honestly. “Wherever we’re going he wanted it to be a surprise,” he flashed Touya a bright grin as he stuck his tongue out at him as he took his time getting to the SUV. “This sort of adventure isn’t usually his thing, I’d wager this is for you,” he admitted to you softly.
Your fingers press against his shoulders as you lean back in his arms, feeling his other hand travel up higher on your back to accommodate your shift of weight without any sign of discomfort. Your men had no issues carrying you at all. He doesn’t miss the way your eyes fill with guilt and regret for getting so angry with him when Dabi had only been wanting to do something nice for you, to surprise you. He loosened his hold on you and you slid to the ground at the front of his vehicle. His fingers travel along your shoulder before he’s disappearing into the back of the car, your bag safely being stowed away. He’s giving you two a moment to clear the air before the trip. That didn’t mean he wasn’t being nosy about it, the blonde was leaning his elbows on the console from the back seat, his shoulders touching the front seats as he watched you move toward their dark haired Prince.
Touya frowned as you moved around the vehicle and ate up the distance toward him. He couldn’t see your face because the wind had blown your hair in front of your face, but he could see the tension in your shoulders, he caught the tremble of your lower lip. He sucked in a breath your name, a soft question on his lips, his blue eyes concerned. You slid your arms around his waist and he curled his arms around you without needing conscious thought. As your cheek presses against his chest, your ear over his heart listening to its rapid cadence. He can feel your fingers curl along the fabric of his shirt across his toned stomach. “I shouldn’t have gotten so mad earlier.” He closes his eyes with a sigh as his arms tighten around you, before he places a soft kiss on your temple. “You know it’s no big deal,” he says gently, hoping to reassure you and when your hold only tightens, he knew he’d have to go another route to get you to see that it wasn’t a big deal. “I love riling you up,” he can’t help but tease with a sexy chuckle, his fingers traveling up and down your back in light scratching motions. “You’re cute when you're angry,” he can’t help but continue, feeling the way your body tenses against his own. As you shove against his chest and his hold only tightens on you as he claims your mouth with his own, his hand cupping your neck as he bends you back as he deepens the kiss and your fingers curl on the fabric of his jacket.
Keigo shifts his body till he’s half way on the console of the car, he’s just as bad as Touya with watching you both. “As hot as this is we should probably hit the road or we’ll never leave the apartment,” he calls out, as Dabi sets you back on your feet, his palm cupping your cheek, his fingers curling along your neck for a moment over your racing pulse. “I’ll give you a hint (Y/N), you’ve been there before and loved it,” Dabi told you before he directed you into the SUV, you were going to go around, but instead he directs you to the drivers side and you scoot over the console Keigo has vacated and slide into the passenger seat, you look down to see your sandals on the floorboard and you smile softly at the gesture as you change out of your shoes and slip on your comfy sandals and expose your painted toes as you lean back against the seat. “I think I’ll let this be a surprise,” you tell them both watching as Touya starts up the car and you lean your seat back a little more your arm stretching up over the head rest and Keigo laces his fingers with yours from the back and you other hand reaches over to across the console and Touya’s fingers curl with your own as he begins the start of your adventurous trip.

and i'll be here, my love // c!dream x gn!reader
word count: 1,781
summary: you finally cave in to your emotions and visit your boyfriend in prison
request?: thank you anon!! i really enjoyed this one :D
this fic takes place after dream kills/revives tommy but before quackity's visit!! also i proofread like half of it pls forgive any mistakes
---
You thought you were ready, you thought you could handle seeing him again. You really did.
Turns out you were very, very wrong.
When you turned up to Sam's place in tears, begging to be allowed to see your partner in the prison that he was in charge of, he was shocked to say the least - but even so he found himself without a reason to deny your desperate request. And so today was the day; you were going to see Dream for the first time in two months.
A lot had happened since the last time you saw him. You'd always worked alongside Dream and everybody knew that, yet he was the one who faced the severe consequences. You didn't care about the fact that he killed Tommy. In fact, you were happy about it! He deserved it. Annoying little bastard. But there was something that just didn't feel right about the thought of visiting him and it stopped you for this long, but you refused to let the thoughts get in the way any longer.
You made your way through the Nether Portal on Sam's command, shaking like a delicate autumn leaf on a windy day. You gave the creeper hybrid a forced smile as you approached him, your heart racing faster than ever and your palms clammy.
“Hi.” you greeted, and Sam smiled back sympathetically.
“Hello,” he replied, his voice plain. This is what must be known as his Warden State. “I just have a few questions to ask before we get started, is that okay?” you simply nodded in response, expecting the worst as per usual. “Alright, when was the last time you visited the prison?”
“This is my first time.”
“Where is your place of residence located?”
“I don’t, uh, I don’t really live anywhere.” you admitted with a pink tint to your face, you’d been so caught up in what was going on that you just didn’t think to build yourself a house. It’s not like you needed one, anyways.
“Mhm, okay. Do you believe the prisoner is deserving of being locked up?” well shit. How the fuck were you mean to answer this? Of course Dream didn’t deserve this! You weren’t stupid; you’d noticed how tense Sam had been around you, especially after you completely revealed yourself to be not only on Dream’s side, but his significant other, too.
“Yeah, yeah I do.” you lied. “Despite the feelings I hold towards him, the things he did are truly unforgivable and that’s why I’m here today; I need to talk things through with him.” probably the best to add that in for good measure. Sam nodded and you could see his shoulders sink a little, great - you were beginning to get on his good side, you hoped at least.
Look, it’s not like you were oblivious to the fact that you were a bad guy. If anything, you loved it, and you loved Dream! You two were a pair, and there was nothing that could come between you, not even what he did… you struggled to admit to yourself that what he did was going a little bit too far. But this must be part of some greater plan that you didn’t know of yet, it must be! Surely he wouldn’t do these things for nothing?
“And what are all your prior relations with the prisoner?”
“A friend then a lover. Perhaps an enemy - we’ll see how this goes.”
“Right. Are you willing to submit to any and all physical exams?” you nodded your head once again, aching to be in the arms of your lover once more. Even if it meant living a lie, telling everyone you’d moved on and you never wanted to speak to him again, you’d do it. For him. “Do you acknowledge that you may not bring anything into the prison with you?” “I do.”
“And do you recognise that I, Awesamdude, am the ultimate authority on the grounds and what I say goes?”
“I do.”
“Okay,” he said, dragging out the “o” as he finished scribbling down your answers in his book. He then placed another book on the lectern in front of you, asking you to read through the waiver out loud and then to sign it, which you did. Once the waiver was signed and you were ready to go, Sam instructed you to place all of your belongings in the locker to your left and you complied, trying to be as fast as possible so you could see Dream a little bit sooner.
You were then faced with many aforementioned physical examinations to make sure you were not a threat to the safety of anyone (which you weren’t) and it was finally, finally time to lower the bubbling lava surrounding the main holding cell. The cell that he was in.
You couldn’t lie, you were absolutely shitting yourself. It had been two months since you and Dream had last seen each other, and as far as you were aware he didn’t know you were visiting today. What if he was mad at you for leaving it this long? What if he’d fallen out of love with you? What if-
“Make sure you move with the bridge, okay?” your spiralling panic was thankfully interrupted by Sam and you looked up from the spot on the floor which you zoned out on, to see an awfully familiar green hoodie paired with ripped blue jeans, to see him.
And funnily enough, the segment of the stone floor you were standing on began to move. You wobbled a bit at first which panicked Sam a little, he couldn’t stand being responsible for a second death, but you regained your balance and felt the nerves rise up as you neared the cell. He was there. He was waiting.
You stepped off the platform once it reached the obsidian, waiting for the barrier to be lowered.
“Y/n?” was all he said, his eyes filling up with tears as the lava was lowered once more.
“Dream!” you exclaimed in glee, hopping over the barrier to be engulfed in his warm hug. You could feel his bones through the ripped green hoodie he was wearing and his mask was in anything but a good state, his dirty blond hair had grown out a lot and the bags beneath his eyes were more prominent than ever. You decided not to mention any of the alarming things you noticed though, taking note of the very little space and furniture he’d been living with. To think this is what he’d been dealing with while you had no idea… you felt terrible. “How have you been?”
“I’ve been okay, I’ve been okay. Decided to do a little experiment on Tommy, did you hear about it?” he asked excitedly, a genuine grin painted across his face.
“Have I? It’s been the talk of the town! Everyone fucking hates you for that, you know.” “Everyone?” “Almost everyone. The Eggpire celebrated the news and Puffy was livid about it, and acting as if I cared was more exhausting than it sounds. You did a good deed honey, you really did.” you said with an honest smile, properly looking Dream in the eyes for the first time in a long time.
His green irises stood out as always, piercing through your own e/c eyes. There was a hint of desperation in them, it was as if they were screaming at you to let him out of this absolute hellhole of a place. You couldn’t blame him, really - what did he have? A cauldron of water, a chest and a lectern with an empty book placed on it. Your heart ached for the man who stood before you, you wanted nothing more than to get him out of this horrid place.
“Great!” he said with enthusiasm in his voice - but something was off, it was more than obvious.
“Dream, love,” your eyes softened as you spoke, taking his hand in your own and gently rubbing your thumb along his knuckles. You adjusted his mask so you could see his face properly with your other hand before tracing it across a fresh scar that reached right from his eyebrow to his chin, but that was a topic for another conversation. “Tell me the truth now, how are you holding up in here?” the smile he held faltered as he looked towards the floor, the grip you had on his hand tightening ever so slightly.
“It’s not too bad, I guess. Just tiring, y’know? All I have to eat is raw potatoes and that’s the only reason Sam ever comes to visit me. I used to have a clock, too, multiple actually, I’d always throw them in the lava so he’d come and give me a new one and he’d be forced to visit me, but I’m not allowed another one now. Tommy’s come to see me a few times, but you already know that, and Sapnap’s been and he said he’d kill me and Bad’s also been and he was the only person who’s been nice to me, besides you of course, and Sam hates me and everything’s just been a mess and-”
“Shhh,” you ever so gently placed a tender finger over his lips, stopping him from spiralling. “Breathe with me, okay? You’re panicking again.” you took Dream through a few deep breaths in and out, in and out. He began to calm down and after pulling his mask over his face to hide his tears, he pulled you into the tightest hug yet. You felt him shaking beneath your touch, and you felt absolutely terrible for him.
“Say, how about I come and visit you every day? I can whip up some lame excuse so Sam doesn’t suspect anything. I’ll come here and I’ll talk to you, I’ll keep you company and we can talk through things, because I think we can agree there’s a lot we need to go through in regards to recent events. Is that okay?”
“Yeah, that sounds great. I’m so glad I get to see you again my darling.” he cupped your cheek in his hand and you placed your own palm above his hand, clasping it and placing a soft kiss on his lips beneath his broken, white mask.
“I love you, Dream, never forget that.”
You hugged one last time before calling for Sam, assuring him that you’d be back tomorrow. And you were, and again the next day, and the day after that, and so on and so forth. The love you had for Dream was endless and you were forever grateful that he trusted you enough to see him like that.

meet cute number 47 is interesting!
send me a writting ask
47. Texting the incorrect number but continuing the conversation.
“You got all that, right?” Shinsou asks, readjusting his stance, so others can leave their classroom door easily.
Midoriya hums absentmindedly. He’s still quickly jotting down the last few digits onto his planner. “And, you said tomorrow morning, around 7? At the library?”
“Yeah,” Shinsou shrugs, “Or anytime really. The deadline isn’t until next month, you know.”
“I kinda just want to get it done, as soon as possible.”
Shinsou breathes out a snort. “Figured you’d say that much. Just make sure you got my number. Repeat it, if you need to.”
“No time.” Midoriya drops his bag to the side, shoving his now closed notebook inside. “Thank you! I’ll text you later tonight!” He offers hurriedly, before taking off down the campus halls.
Shinsou’s warning falls deaf to his rushed mind.
He has to run the entire way, in order to graciously catch the last bus for the hour. Sweaty and flushed, Midoriya slumps into his seat in relief. Fortunately, he was able to cop a seat for himself, settling by the window and his backpack right next to him.
Staring out, Midoriya tries to remind himself of the rest of his priorities he needed to do.
He still needed to start on Doctor Chiyo’s online Physiology exam, and gather his notes for the open book portion. It was a bit bothersome to handle tests online, but if the rest of class prefers it, there’s nothing Midoriya can do about it.
Speaking of which, Ochako had requested for copies of those exact same notes, since apparently she barely writes anything during lectures. He wants to suggest to her to just simply take better notes, but alas, he will gladly help her out.
And, finally, Midoriya has to collect reliable, approved research articles for his and Shinsou’s debate, in their argumentative project in Communications. Being assigned “PRO SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCE”, while being the most uninvolved people on the internet, Midoriya and Shinsou had a lot of work to do.
Not to mention it was already 18:00 by the time he reached the school’s dormitories. And yet, he needed to shower, make dinner, water his plants, and watch the newest episode of his favorite drama, airing tonight.
University was eating him alive.
Thankfully, he’s able to complete half of his list.
He finishes the exam with a 98%, and quickly snaps the pages of his notes over to Ochako and Iida, making sure to highlight the main topics questioned in the exam. Ochako sends a ‘thank you’ gif, and Iida texts a long, yet endearing message of gratitude.
Midoriya doesn’t have time to shower, instead blasting the TV volume loud, as he waters his indoor plants at the same time. He overwaters them a little bit, busy glancing back at the screen for too long. But, at least he’s able to watch the episode. He pouts when it ends on a cliffhanger, almost drowning his bonsai tree in frustration.
He’s only able to warm up a plate of leftovers, and read through only one research article, by the time it’s already blinking 21:30 on his phone. Sighing, Midoriya closes his laptop and grabs his cell phone instead.
An all nighter wasn’t preferable. But, if Shinsou is working overtime at his late night job, Midoriya supposes he can stay up and keep looking through more articles, until he has at least the required ten.
Flipping open his planner, Midoriya inputs Shinsou’s number into his phone. He adds his name, a contact photo of him sleeping, and finally taps a quick message.
(21:38) < You working?
When Shinsou doesn’t respond right away, Midoriya simply sets aside his phone on his desk. Stretching his arms, he sighs in defeat, now expecting Shinsou to be stuck at work.
He’s never worked at a restaurant, but he bets Friday nights can get pretty busy. And, Shinsou always complains that group outings and dates tend to stay over, even after the place is supposed to close. And, Midoriya trusts his word.
So, by the time his phone dings, Midoriya has been clicking through more articles on social media, bookmarking a few to go over later, as he went.
He lifts his phone, and with a bright screen, a message stares back at him.
shinsou hitoshi (21:58) > Who’s this
Oh, he did forget to specify. But, Midoriya smiles, having a small prank in mind. There was no harm in teasing his friends, let alone Shinsou, who definitely needed a good laugh, now and then.
(21:58) < It's the cutie from your communications class ;)
shinsou hitoshi (21:58) > So, no one
(21:59) < Haha! I guess you’re right about that
(21:59) < Anyways, it’s Izuku! You still working late, Hitoshi?
shinsou hitoshi (21:59) > This ain’t Hitoshi
Midoriya's face drops, blinking. Oh god, did he mistype the number?
(21:38) < Wait, you’re not???
Another text pops up, shortly after.
shinsou hitoshi (22:02) > You got the wrong number
Embarrassment burning his entire face red, Midoriya wishes he could delete himself from the world.
(22:03) < I’m so so so so sorry!
(22:03) < God, I thought I wrote down my friend’s number right
(22:03) < But, I was in this stupid rush to get on the bus that I didn’t make sure
(22:04) < And, listen, if I had missed that bus, I would’ve had to wait
(22:04) < Not like a few minutes wait
(22:04) < Like, a whole two hours wait!
shinsou hitoshi (22:05) > I didn’t ask
Deleting the conversation, Midoriya erases the new contact completely. And instead, he looks back to his planner, and retypes the numbers in his phone onto a new conversation.
Hopefully, he has typed the correct series of digits.
(22:07) < Hey, Hitoshi! It’s Izuku
unknown (22:08) > ...
unknown (22:08) > What the actual fuck
unknown (22:08) > You've still got the wrong number, you goddamn idiot
Slamming his phone onto his desk, Midoriya grabs a pillow off his bed and shoves it in his face. The temptation to scream sounds awfully pleasant, but it’s too late at night to do so. His dorm neighbors would definitely wonder what the hell is wrong with him.
What’s wrong? Oh, he has completely done one of the most dreaded imaginary scenarios in his head; text a complete stranger. Twice.
What was he supposed to do now? Never text back? Delete it? Block it?
How is he supposed to contact Shinsou now?
His phone dings again.
Lifting the pillow off his face slightly, Midoriya eyes his phone warily from his swivel chair.
That definitely wasn’t supposed to happen. Another text from the same stranger sounds a bit unheard of.
After a seconds-long hesitation, Midoriya lifts his phone and opens it once more.
unknown (22:13) > Double check next time
unknown (22:13) > You can fucking wait the two hours, dumbass
Midoriya grows a little irked. He has a bad feeling that his stranger isn’t too friendly, to say that least.
There was literally no reason to text back something so rude.
(22:14) < Well, that wasn’t nice
unknown (22:15) > Wasn’t trying to be
(22:15) < ..Are you always like this?
unknown (22:16) > Pretty much
(22:16) < That’s sad
unknown (22:17) > What’s fucking sad is that I was woken up from my sleep
unknown (22:17) > Because a damn moron didn’t write down the right number
Midoriya winces. He hadn’t even thought about the other person’s predicament, let alone if he had interrupted anything.
(22:20) > I really didn’t mean to do that, I’m sorry :(
unknown (22:22) > Yeah whatever
(22:24) > You should try to go back to sleep, then
unknown (22:25) > I was
unknown (22:25) > But the same moron from before keeps texting me
(22:27) > Who?
(22:33) > Oh.
(22:33) > It’s me, huh?
unknown (22:34) > No shit
(22:35) > Right, of course. My bad!
(22:35) > I’m going to just stop now
unknown (22:36) > Thanks
(22:36) > For the umpteenth time, sorry! ><
(22:37) > Okay, Okay! I’m stopping now, for real
Midoriya desperately needs to call it a night.
After going through his nightly routine, he slips under his bedsheets, exhausted. He sets an alarm for 5:00 on his phone, hoping Shinsou will show up at the library, regardless of the missing confirmation text on Midoriya’s end.
He keeps his phone on awhile longer, swiping through his professors’ emails, before a surprising text notification pops in front of him.
unknown (23:01) > FUCK YOU FUCK YOU
(23:02) > …
(23:02) > What was that for??
unknown (23:04) > I CAN’T SLEEP
unknown (23:04) > GOD, I CAN’T GO BACK TO FUCKING SLEEP
unknown (23:05) > AND IT’S YOUR FAULT
(23:06) > What do you expect me to do????
unknown (23:07) > HAHAHAHA OH DON’T WORRY
unknown (23:07) > IF I CAN’T SLEEP, NEITHER CAN YOU
unknown (23:08) > AND IF YOU TURN YOUR PHONE OFF I WILL SEND HELLFIRE
(23:09) > Wait
(23:09) > No, please
(23:09) > My alarm is on my phone, I need it on
(23:10) > I need to go to an important meeting for a group project at 7:00!
unknown (23:10) > Aw, really? :0?!
(23:11) > Yeah! I really do!
unknown (23:11) > Sike. I don’t fucking care
unknown (23:12) > Hope you eat shit tomorrow
(23:13) > ..Why are you like this?
(23:13) > I could literally be a twelve year old, for all you know
unknown (23:14) > I doubt fucking twelve years do group projects
unknown (23:15) > But whether you’re a damn infant, or grown adult, I hate you
(23:16) > I wouldn’t say I hate you. That’s too harsh
(23:16) > But, wow, you are very unlikable :/
unknown (23:17) > That’s the fucking nicest thing anyone has said about me
(23:18) > It wasn’t supposed
(23:19) > Nevermind.
(23:19) > Do you have any friends? Just might as well ask
unknown (23:21) > Surprisingly yeah
(23:22) > Oh, so you also agree. That it’s a surprise
(23:22) > At least you’re self aware :0
unknown (23:23) > Yeah, they are annoying as hell
unknown (23:24) > But, also pretty good people, I guess
(23:25) > Pretty good or pretty dumb?
unknown (23:26) > SHUT IT
unknown (23:27) > Only I can make fun of them
unknown (23:27) > You. Don’t.
(23:28) > You’re right, I shouldn’t have said that
(23:29) > I’m sorry :(
unknown (23:30) > You like apologizing, huh
(23:29) > There’s a lot to apologize for tonight
unknown (23:30) > Still, you don’t have to say it every damn minute
(23:32) > You probably don’t ever apologize
unknown (23:33) > Fuck no
(23:35) > Right, of course
(23:36) > Well, you know what I need to do tomorrow
unknown (23:37) > Unfortunately
(23:38) > What about you?
unknown (23:39) > I’m covering a shift at my shit job at the ass crack of dawn
(23:40) > Unnecessary visual, but I digress
(23:40) > Uh, where do you work?
unknown (23:42) > No. I don’t even know your damn name
(23:43) > I told you?? It was in my first text
unknown (23:44) > Yeah, I ain’t scrolling
(23:48) > Well, it’s Izuku. Midoriya Izuku :)
unknown (23:49) > Great. I still ain’t giving you mine
(23:50) > ?? Is there anything I can know about you??
(23:50) > You know more about me, than I do about you
unknown (23:51) > You know I hate you
unknown (23:51) > That’s plenty
(23:52) > But, I have been staying up for you :(
unknown (23:53) > Because it’s your fault I can’t sleep
(23:54) > You aren’t feeling sleepy yet?
unknown (23:56) > ..Are you
(23:57) > I asked you first
unknown (23:58) > I asked you second
(23:59) > That
(23:59) > Look, it’s almost midnight
(24:00) > Oh, now, it’s actually midnight
unknown (00:01) > I have fucking eyes. I can see the time
(00:02) > And we BOTH have places to be tomorrow
(00:02) > So, let’s just sleep. Call a truce, please
unknown (00:03) > What about my petty retribution
(00:04) > PLEASE LET ME SLEEP
unknown (00:10) > FUCK
unknown (00:10) > FINE
unknown (00:11) > I STILL CAN’T SLEEP BUT WHATEVER
unknown (00:12) > HOPE YOU FUCKING OVERSLEEP TOMORROW
The rest of the night, Midoriya hears his phone go off, but he doesn’t bother to open the messages. Fortunately for him, the time staying awake quickly catches up to his body, the moment he shuts his eyes. And, in an instant, he falls asleep, heavy.
However, he’s jolted awake by the ringing of his phone, the tone alerting him of an incoming phone call. Banging his head on the headboard, Midoriya blindly grabs and answers his phone. “Uh, H-Hello?” He blurts quickly.
“Tch.” A low voice emits, “You owe me, Deku.”
Click. The phone call ends.
Confused, Midoriya hurriedly rubs his eyes open. Running his messy curls through his fingers, he lifts his bangs up, in order to correctly look at the time.
The time was 5:10. And, his 5:00 alarm had been off the entire time.
And, instead, that same unknown number from last night was his saving grace.

First Year Feels
Summary: Tsukishima can’t help but notice his attraction to Ushijima’s younger brother.
Tsukishima x M!Reader
Requested? Yes.
Word Count: 3251
Tumblr media
“Huh?” You muttered, the book you were reading coming onto your chest as you made eye-contact with your older brother. “You want me to come to the training camp? Why?”
Your brother remained quiet for a moment. “The others want you there.”
“Others?” You cocked a brow up. “You mean Tendo?”
“Yeah.” Wakatoshi bluntly put. “But I thought you could help too.”
“Help?” You questioned. “How so?”
“Bring the team’s spirits up.” He replied, the words making a soft smile stretch across your lips.
“Sure thing.” You hummed as you went back to your book. “I might be a bit late though.”
You were luck that you said that yesterday because you were, indeed, late to show up when your brother told you too. It wasn’t your fault that your body required a few more hours of sleep.
Unlike your older brother by only a year, you didn’t play volleyball. You liked the sport, you loved it. You just had no intention to play it like Wakatoshi. Since you went to the same school as your brother thanks to passing the entrance exam, you helped out his team whenever you could. At first, they all thought your brother and you were close friends so it came as a shock to them all when they found out you two were related. Sure, you shared the same surname, but you looked quite different.
You were a bit shorter than your brother, maybe by a few inched. You didn’t really know, you haven’t checked in a while. You also had a completely different personality from him. It was like he was a calm, stoic and cool guy while you were a complete snotty brat at times. Perhaps it was cause you were the younger one, hence the youngest in the family, but you didn’t think to hard on it. It helped you get along with a lot of amazing people, especially on your brother’s team, so you didn’t complain much. Though, a lot of people found the difference slightly disturbing at times.
You let out a few deep breaths to catch your breath before sliding open to door to the gym, all eyes immediately locking onto you as you entered with a plain white tee under a Shiratorizawa jersey. Even though you weren’t part of the team, the guys on your brother’s team got you one for your birthday last year to wear at times like these.
“Ah, [Name]’s here.” Wakatoshi muttered to himself, watching as Tendo ran up to you with wide arms.
“[Name]!” He shouted before embracing his favorite Ushijima brother. “Did you come to cheer lil ol’ me on? Well, did ya?”
You let out a soft chuckle as your rolled your eyes. You patted your hand on Tendo’s back to tell him to let you go already as you sarcastically stated, “Yes, Tendo, you and only you.”
“Would it kill ya to make it sound genuine?” Tendo whined as he removed himself from you, but kept an arm around your shoulders.
“I will when I mean it.” You cracked a smile as you watched the red-heads face turn into a scowl. It didn’t take long for the others to huddle around you. They smothered you with friendly-love and thanks for coming to support them. To give them some spirit as they played, even if it wasn’t an official match.
Though, Wakatoshi never greeted you like the others, instead his eyes somehow traveled to a first year, one first year he knew. He didn’t know him well, after all, all they played was one game against each other. Though, it was the game that cost Wakatoshi nationals. Along the sea of souls that all stared at his younger brother, he saw a pair of eyes that were different from the others. It was more direct, more searching than the others. Tsukishima Kei, a middle blocker on Karasuno’s volleyball team.
It wasn’t the first time Wakatoshi had seen that look thrown at his brother before, and he knew it wouldn’t be the last. But, even with his calm and cool personality, there was no way in hell he’d ever let a guy like him made a move on his younger brother.
After greeting everyone and introducing yourself to the unknown people that came to this camp, you sat next to your brother’s couch and watched the practice match go underway.
You would always have your eyes on your brother, and from time to time maybe Tendo or Goshiki. After all, they were very interesting players to watch on the court. You never really payed attention to the other time, like, at all. Perhaps, though, there is a first for everything.
For some reason beyond you, you couldn’t take your eyes off of a certain blond, but then again he was playing harder than anyone else on the court. Which, didn’t come as a surprise to you since remembered him from the Spring Nationals. He was a middle blocker, the middle blocker that completely made your brother start to sweat during a game. You couldn’t remember his name, sadly, but in a way it sorta made it better. In your mind, the first thing that popped in your head was a way to talk to him. An excuse by asking for his name and then rolling with conversation from there.
It wasn’t much of a surprise to you when Shiratorizawa won against the camp kids, but it was a surprise to see a little ginger haired kid running around to clean and pack the volleyballs up. You knew him as well, he was also on Karasuno, though, you thought with his abilities he would be playing instead of cleaning up. It didn’t take long for you to decide to walk over to him. It wasn’t like you had much to do anyway, plus, it would be better to learn about the blond from a team member.
Hinata kept his eyes locked on a stray ball in front of him, his main focus to grab it and put it away. That focus making him miss the very obvious male walking towards him until an unknown hand gripped the ball with a single hand. The ginger looked up with slightly parted lips, studying the male in front of him. He saw him earlier this morning and thought he was a new recruit, a first-year like him, for Shiratorizawa.
“Want some help?” You asked with a friendly smile, watching as the shorty in front of you looked almost cautious of you for a second. Though, you knew that would happen.
“Why?” He questioned.
You shrugged. “Look like you need it. Plus, it beats listening to Tendo talk crazy.”
“But you’re on Shiratorizawa, no?”
You shook your head. “I go to the school, but I’m not in the Volleyball club.”
Hinta cocked up a brow, his head leaning in with suspicion. “Then why are you wearing their jersey?”
“Cause my older brother is on the team.” You hummed without a care as you began to walk away.
Hinata was close on your tail as he bombarded you with questions about your brother. When you told him who it was, he definitely freaked out. He was truly clueless. As the two of you chatted and cleaned up the gym, you got to know him as Shoyo Hinata while you greeted him as [Name] Ushijima. You had this idea that the two of you would chat for a bit longer, but sadly, today wouldn’t be that day.
You turned your attention to your brother when his deep pitched voice called your name and said that dinner was being given out now.
“Sorry, I have to go.” You said kindly to the shorter male. “I’ll help you out tomorrow too, if you don’t mind.”
“No! Of course not!” He yelled with a wide, bright smile that made a soft one magically appear on yours. Honestly, you just wanted info on the blond from before, but Hinata seemed like a pretty cool guy in your book, so you thought it would be nice to hang with him to kill your boredom.
“Cool,” you hummed. “See ya!”
You watched Hinata waved you off from the corners of your eyes as you jogged up to your brother. When you reached him, he stood still for a moment, eyes locked inside the gym before turning to you with a gentle, yet small smile.
“You enjoying yourself?” Your brother asked as you two began to walk, following the scent of well-made tasty food that filled the chilly night air.
“Yeah, it’s not as bad as I thought it was gonna be.” You replied with a smile, your hands digging in your pockets. For some reason, your mind began to bug you at the worst times. In the back of your mind, you wanted to see if your brother knew the blond’s name. And yet, at the same time, you knew you’d blow your chance to talk with him if you did.
When you came around to the cafeteria, everyone was mingling and eating casually with one another. It was a complete 180 in atmospheric change from the court to here. Here, everyone seemed like themselves. Though, you did notice a few missing faces. Some were still practicing, but you thought the others already went to bed after a tiring day.
You separated from Wakatoshi quickly after entering to get some food. You didn’t pay much attention to those in front of you, though, when you felt a presence suddenly come from behind, you moved your head around curiously. You thought maybe you could bring up some conversation with the person, maybe make a friend if you didn’t know them already. What you didn’t expect for the person to the blond you were eyeing on the court. Seriously, sometimes you had the worst luck.
“Oh, it’s you.” You hummed out without thought, your fingers twitching subtly when you noticed the words leaving your lips. Though, the damage was already done and now, in that moment, you had the full attention of one of Karasuno’s middle blockers.
“Huh?” He mouthed. His eyes having to move down a tad to make eye-contact with you. “Oh, Shiratorizawa, right?”
You nodded. “I’m not on the team though, I’m only here to support my brother, really.”
You didn’t know why you said that. It just came out like word vomit. Honestly, you just didn’t want him to think of you as a enemy in a way. Or perhaps even that was a stretch.
“Brother?” He asked curiously.
You nodded once more before turning your gaze over to Wakatoshi who was, thankfully, distracted by Tendo’s ramblings. “Wakatoshi Ushijima.”
“Seriously?” You heard the blond ask to himself in a deflated tone. It was kinda funny in it’s own way, but you didn’t want to come off as rude, so you were quick to swallow that chuckle.
“I’m [Name] Ushijima, second-year at Shiratorizawa Academy.” You said with a friendly smile. “How about you?”
The blond went silent for a moment, his eyes almost searching you without a care in the world if you saw or not. It was addicting in it’s own way, but it also made you nervous to your very core. You never notice people looking at you like this, and the ones that do are too scared of your brother to even try it face to face with you. So, when you noticed his eyes wonder all over you as if he was scanning a favorite food item over and over, you gulped hard.
“Kei Tsukishima.” He replied. “Karasuno High, first-year.”
The camp lasted a total of five days, and it was easy to say that coming here was either a blessing or a curse thrown at you by the gods. You weren’t sure which one it was yet, but you were leaning towards either one throughout the day. You helped out Hinata the next day like you promised, but sadly you wouldn’t be able to do that anymore thanks to Shiratorizawa’s couch putting you on the medic duty. Basically wrapping up fingers if they began to hurt, help the irritation marks along their forearms or palms of their hands if the players hit it too hard, and bandage any scraps players might get. It wasn’t like they had any other choice since you were the only one available, but that quickly turned into a dreadfully wrong choice.
Players left and right, mostly players from Shiratorizawa, came to you for the most minor and basic things. Even if something didn’t hurt they’d ask for you to check them since you’d basically have to do a psychical exam. You could tell something was off with your brothers team, but when it came to the minds of the other players from all over, you were clueless to their intent.
Tsukishima knew that and immediately took the chance that was basically begging him to take it. When it was time to block, he made sure that you at least saw the ball hit his fingers. After that and the ball landed back in his opponents court, he held onto his finger to give off the act before walking over to you. You jested Tsukishima to sit down on the bench that you previously occupied, standing in front of him.
“Just your fingers?” You asked kindly as you got out some white tape.
“Yeah.” He simple put, his eyes watching your hands attentively.
You didn’t wrap the tape around first, instead you began to feel his ‘injured’ hand up. You squeezed each of his fingers and checked for a response, you noticed it didn’t hurt too bad but you didn’t want to take the chance. It’s best not to have a broke finger. Next, you used your thumbs to snuff out the tension in his palms, you did both even if you didn’t need to. It was only after that you put the tape on his ring and middle fingers.
While you were solely focused on him, you missed your brother’s cold hard start that was aimed right between Tsukishima’s eyes. It didn’t take long for the blond to notice, and when he did, he just gave a cocky smirk in Wakatoshi’s direction before going back to watching you.
“Huh?” You asked your brother with a confused look. It was finally the end of the second day of camp, and as soon as Wakatoshi got the chance he came up to you with bizarre statements. “What are you talking about? Tsukishima and I literally just met.”
Your brother stared you down. “Just because you just met him doesn’t mean he can’t find you attractive.”
“I think you’re overrating.” You hummed out as you cleaned up all the used medical supplies from today.
“If you don’t believe me then the next time he asks you to wrap his fingers up, make sure they actually hurt first.” Wakatoshi suddenly suggested.
You sighed, ignoring him for a moment as you tried to give yourself peace of mind with some quiet noise. Though, that didn’t last long when a loud smack was heard. You knew it well and already could tell multiple people were practicing after hours based on the number of squeaking shoes.
“Look, I gotta make sure these guys don’t hurt themselves so you should go eat.” You said in a flat, disinterested tone. “I’m not ten anymore, Waka. I can handle myself without you.”
Wakatoshi stared down at you for a moment, his eyes closing themself off from your analytical mind. “Fine.”
You watched your brother walk off and out the gym, the moment you lose sight of him is when you let out a breath that had been stuck in your lungs. You wasted no time to take your seat back on the bench and watch some of the boys practice.
Your eyes were half-lidded with something unknown to you as you kept your gaze entirely locked on Tsukishima. There was just something about him to you that made you want watch him for all of eternity. It wasn’t like you haven’t felt attraction towards someone before, but this one was odd, after all, it was as if something wouldn’t let you look at anyone else, consider anyone else. Not that you would want to date him, no, of course not. It was just, you felt like you wanted to keep him as close to you as humanly possible.
You leaned your head into the palm of your hand, your elbow planted on your thigh as you watched the practice match. You watched as a set was beginning to get underway. Your hues followed the ball as it got closer and closer to the wing spiker before moving your sight solely on Tsukishima and see him block. Now that you think about it, he really was tall. Not that it mattered to you, but a simple observation. Kinda like the observation that when he jumps his shirt rides up just enough to get the idea that he has a solid build for such a skinny guy.
“Hello?” A voice called out to you.
It effectively pulled you from your daydreams, your gaze moving up slightly to aimlessly stare at the tall blond in front of you. “Oh, hi.”
His face turned into a small scowl before turning his sight away from you and moved his hand forward. “I just need some more tape.”
“Sure,” you replied with a smile. You took some tape from the kit before standing up. You didn’t speak for a bit as you removed the older tape from his fingers, but you swear you could feel his eyes dig holes in your head.
“Yanno,” you hummed out. It wasn’t like you would ever see him again, you thought. So, you just spit out what was on your mind as you calmly stated, “You should tuck your shirt in your pants.”
“Huh?” You heard Tsukishima ask. It was clear to you he didn’t quite get it. “Why?”
You couldn’t help but let out a small chuckle. You thought this guy was smart, but you supposed that only applied to school. “It could save you a few unwanted eyes.”
Once that sentence left your mouth, he shut up. The only sound you could hear from him was his subtle breathing. You smiled softly to yourself, the unknown creeping into your mind. It was fine to you if you just ruined a potential friendship or if he found the way you shamelessly flirted with him gross, in your mind, it was risk that had to be taken.
“Alright, you’re all good.” You said as you placed the tape back down by the other supplies. When you gazed back up at Tsukishima, you noticed him taking off his team jacket. Curiosity took over making your head go on a slight tilt before saying, “Whatcha doing?”
“What’s it look like? I’m taking the advise.” He confessed before effortlessly wrapping his jacket around your shoulders. It was a bit bigger, but not by much.
You moved your hand up to grab the side of his jacket, slipping your arms into it without protest. When you looked back at him, his sight was already glued to you.
“Am I holding onto this for you?” You asked with a soft, teasing smirk.
“Yeah, why else would I give it to you?” He questioned with a look that mirrored yours. While both of you had an inkling of why, you thought it would be better to keep the other guessing. It made for a fun game that just began, a mutual game of pining.
“No clue.” You chuckled. “Try not to hurt your fingers again, Tsukki.”
You watched as the taller male turned around and jog back onto the court. Though, while you watched him, you couldn’t help but notice the tip of his ears colored with an easy shade of pink.

~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.
“Damian’s not home right?” Tim asked, making his way into the Batcave where all the other bats sans Damian were sitting around the computer.
“No, tomorrow’s pixies first appointment with that new doctor so he decided to stay the night to give her moral support since she’s never been to a gyno before.” Jason said looking up from the files he was reading over, “honestly from what I’ve heard about what happens during those exams I don’t blame her for wanting a little support before going.”
“It’s all routine and can’t be any worse than the baby-making process.” Dick hummed typing away on the computer.
“I think that’s enough talk about that; why did you want to know Tim?” Bruce asked looking over at his second youngest.
“I found more info on Marinette thought I’d share with you all while Damian wasn’t here to stop me or compromise the data,” he explained walking over to the bat computer connecting his laptop to it.
The other men all sat silently around waiting for Tim to begin his presentation as he sorted through different encrypted files before bringing up a few pictures. “To begin her original name was Marinette Dupain-Cheng and her parents were bakers back in France, Tom Dupain and Sabine Cheng,” Tim said pointing them out.
“Marinette told me they essentially kicked her out,” Bruce said crossing his arms, “They believed the words of some liar and threw her out. She lived with a friend her last year in Paris before moving here.”
Wait, hold on,” Dick said turning to Bruce, “Her parents kicked her out when she was still a minor? Isn’t that illegal?”
“Yes, and they knew that, she mentioned that when she told her grandmother she came and took custody from her parents, who seemed more than happy to hand it over, and let her stay to finish out that school year with a friend then moved here to finish out her schooling.” Bruce nodded.
“Yeah that all tracks to what I found,” Tim nodded, showing them documents next, “I have here the transfer of custody, her transcript for moving here, as well as the adoption papers for Ivy and Harley. I also went ahead and started running some background checks on the people still in her phone.” he added typing away.
“Anyone, we should be worried about?” Jason asked leaning back in his seat content to just watching Tim work, “She told me a bit about one of her friends’ guy seemed a bit sketch when he was a Paris hero though now I think he’s meh but never got a name from her.”
“You said he was one of the heroes?” Tim asked looking over at Jason.
“Yeah, she said he gave up his miraculous after the fight because his dad was the villain and he didn’t think Ladybug would want anything to do with him if she found out who he was so he bit the bullet and gave it up. He left Paris shortly after to live with his aunt.” Jason said looking around at the others.
“If the villain were outed then it’d be easy to find out who his son was,” Tim said, turning back to the computer the clicking of keys filling the Batcave as he searched through multiple French websites. The other three just watched as screen after screen flew by before settling on a trashy tabloid-like website.
“I don’t think this is what could be considered a credible source Timmy,” Dick winced looking over all the clickbait titles and the like to dislike ratio on the articles.
“No, but it does have quite a bit on the Paris heroes,” Tim said scrolling through to articles that had more likes and seemed of better quality, “here we go, Hawkmoth Defeated: How a Recluse Held Paris Hostage.”
The four men all leaned forward reading through the article that detailed the final battle between Hawkmoth and the Paris Heroes with a written description of what happened as well as a video that seemed to have been taken from a mix of sources and spliced together. The article detailed what Hawkmoth had been doing for three years and in the end, revealed him and his accomplice to be Gabriel Agrest and his assistant Nathalie Sancoeur.
“So we know that Gabriel Agrest was the big bad so who was his kid?” Jason asked as Tim typed away.
“Adrien Agrest, teen model for the Agrest Fashion Label. Looks like after his dad got taken down he had to go through months of interrogations and court hearings just to prove his innocence. His mother was found dead in the Agrest Mansion and with no one else it looks like his aunt took him in once he was cleared.” Tim said reading through the files he dug up.
“That would mean he probably gave his miraculous to Pixie right after he was cleared. If he was going to do something sketch he’d just hold onto it.” Jason said.
“He probably was so messed up after the battle he didn’t want any connection to the miraculous I mean his father turned evil because of them.” Dick hummed crossing his arms.
The four fell silent as they took in the information they had received, “Well Tim you got anything on that liar?” Jason asked, tilting his head.
“This whole blog is about that liar.” Tim said motioning to the tabloid, “I’ll email you guys the link and read it at your own pace there is years of garbage on here.”
“Then with that, I think we should all be heading out. We'll go over more of what Tim found later for now we should get to work,” Bruce said, getting to his feet and moving to change into his costume.
The other three nodded as Tim packed up his laptop and stored it away before they all got dressed and took their way out of the cave to begin their nightly rounds.

“So what do you think they found?” Marinette asked cuddled up to Damian's side on her bed with the hyenas crowded around them on either side resting their heads over their laps, “Chloe didn’t exactly hold back on mentioning certain names.”
“I would be surprised if Drake didn’t have an entire dossier on all your friends.” Damian said rubbing Marinette’s back, “You know he probably took all your contact info right?”
“Yeah oh well,” she shrugged turning to bury her face into his neck, “They were bound to find out eventually, might as well let some of the greatest detectives around have some fun piecing my life together.”
Damian hummed closing his eyes as he relaxed back into the plush pillows covering Marinette’s bed, “Are you nervous about tomorrow?” he asked.
“A little,” she sighed tightening her grip on his shirt, “Mum told me what to expect and said she’d sit in the room with me if I wanted her to, you can’t exactly join me since we can’t have this whole thing getting out.”
“I’ll be waiting here for you when you get home don’t worry,” he said kissing her forehead, “now try to get some sleep you barely got any at the manor.”
Marinette nodded letting out a deep sigh as she shifted around to get comfortable between Damian and the hyenas. Eventually, she settled down and dozed off into a dreamless sleep with Damian rubbing her back and the familiar weight of Bud’s head on her hip.
Damian stayed up for a bit longer listening to the quiet sounds around and thinking over what to do for the next day. He eventually made his way into a dreamless sleep as well a bit after one AM when he finally managed to shut his mind off.
~.~.~.~
“Marigold are you ready?” Ivy called from the kitchen as she looked through her back to make sure she had everything.
“Almost,” Marinette said, coming out in a comfortable knit sweater and skinny jeans, “I was looking for my purse. I think Lou took it,” she said, looking around in the usual spots for her bag.
“I’ll keep your wallet and Tiki in my bag we have to get going,” Ivy said, grabbing Marinette’s wallet off the counter and stowing it in her bag as Tiki flew over and settled into the bag as well giving Ivy a nod to close the bag once she was comfortable.
Marinette nodded and went back to her room grabbing her phone quickly checking it before putting it away in her pocket and leaned down kissing Damian’s cheek as he groaned slowly blinking his eyes open. “I’m leaving I’ll text you when we’re on our way back.”
“Okay habibti call me if you need me.” he yawned reaching up and pulled her down for a kiss, “good luck with your appointment I’ll see you after.”
Marinette nodded kissing him again as Ivy shouted for Marinette that they were leaving. She gave Damian another quick peck on the lips before pulling back and ran out to meet Ivy at the door. “Had to get my phone.” she smiled stepping out of the apartment and waited as Ivy locked up and ushered down to the cab waiting outside.
“Now remember Marigold just relax and everything will go smoothly, it will be uncomfortable but it won’t hurt okay.” Ivy said, settling into the cab beside Marinette and rubbing her back, “I can sit inside the room with you if need me to.”
“I think I’ll be okay,” Marinette said, taking a few calming breaths as they made their way to the doctor’s office. Once they arrived Marinette was starting to look a little green as they went through the check-in process and filled out their info.
Waiting for her name to be called felt like an eternity and her stomach was twisting into knots as she watched other women come and go through the office. Marinette sat there twisting her fingers in her sweater and took slow deep breaths trying to calm herself when the door opened, “Marinette?” a nurse called.
Marinette shot up her face going from pale to a deep red as she made her way to the nurse. The nurse smiled and ushered her inside and went about getting her blood pressure, “Hmm little elevated but I think it could just be your nerves.” the nurse smiled, and her height and weight.
“Alright girly so here’s your room I’m going to need you to completely strip down underwear and all then put this paper gown on opening to the front and here’s a privacy blanket for your legs.” the nurse said motioning to the items on the bed, “the doctor will be in here shortly.”
Marinette nodded as the nurse closed the door leaving her alone, “It’s just a check-up.” Marinette mumbled undressing and taking her time to carefully fold her clothes and set them on the table in the corner of the room. She put on the provided gown and settled on the table keeping her phone clenched tightly in her hand as she waited for the doctor to arrive.
It felt like an eternity when there was a knock at the door and the doctor stepped in, a petite redhead with a smattering of freckles covering her pale face, “Hello Miss Marinette I’m Doctor Amelia.” she smiled coming over to shake Marinette’s hand, “I see you’re here for a wellness exam and you’re expecting.”
“Uh yes,” Marinette coughed her voice, cracking a bit from her nerves, “I uh just found out a few weeks ago.” she blushed, gripping the paper blanket covering her legs.
Doctor Amelia nodded looking over the file, “This is your first-ever wellness exam yes?” she asked, taking a seat.
Marinette nodded keeping her head bowed trying to not let her nerves take over her.
“Okay sweetie we’ll go at your pace so just relax okay.” Doctor Amelia smiled setting the file aside and grabbed her stethoscope.
~.~.~.~
The entire exam didn’t take more than five minutes before the doctor was cleaning up and stepping out to give Marinette some privacy to redress. Marinette wasted no time pulling her clothes back on and sending Damian a text saying, ‘Making this baby was less violating than that.’ before putting her phone in her pocket as there was another knock, “Miss Marinette if you're ready you can go to the front and schedule the next appointment.” Doctor Amelia said through the door.
Marinette walked over opening the door her face still a bit flushed, “Okay uh when should I come back next?” she asked.
“I think in a month should be enough time and we should be able to hear the heartbeat by then.” she smiled, “Your moms waiting for you upfront, and here’s the card to one of my nurses if you have any questions feel free to call her okay.”
“Thank you.” Marinette nodded, taking the card and quickly went to the front to meet back up with Ivy and schedule the next appointment and made their way out to walk back home.
“I think we should pick up some breakfast.” Ivy smiled putting a hand on Marinette’s shoulder as they walked. “There’s a nice little bakery around the corner should we pick up something from there?”
“Yeah, that sounds good.” Marinette nodded following Ivy down to the bakery and got in line looking over the different pastries they had for sale. Between the two of them, they picked out an array of sweet and savory options with Marinette making sure to pick out some vegetarian options for Damian. Soon they were walking out with two large bags and were walking down the street back to their home.
Upon entering both had to hold their bags of treats high out the reach of Bud and Lou trying hard to reach the goodies hidden away. Harley quickly came over pulling them back by their collars so the two could set the bags down in the kitchen.
Damian was settled at the table and got up coming over to help them unpack as Harley got some coffee and tea going as they all settled down to enjoy a bit of a late breakfast. Marinette ate her croissants and fruit danish taking small bites so as not to upset her stomach any further. The small group spoke of anything and everything as they enjoyed their meal. Harley taking the time to pick out the meat from her sandwich to give to the two hyenas and Damian holding a small conversation with Tiki as she munched on the cookies Marinette picked out.
“So when are you going back?” Harley asked looking over at Marinette as she bit into her bagel.
“In a month, the doctor said we should be able to hear the heartbeat by then,” Marinette said, finishing off her danish, “I don’t know if I’m ready.”
“You’ll be fine Marigold we’re here for you every step.” Ivy smiled ruffling her hair, “Now I think you should go lay down, maybe settle your stomach and your nerves. You were looking a bit green and tense after your appointment.”
Marinette nodded, finishing her tea and croissant before heading back to her room to lay down. Damian finished off his breakfast quickly and excused himself before following Marinette leaving the two sirens and the small goddess at the table.
“At least he’s good for our little Mari.” Harley hummed sipping her coffee, “So long as he makes her happy he can stick around I guess but not too sure I forgive him for knocking our baby up.”
“Oh, now you don’t like him?” Ivy chuckled, raising her eyebrow at her.
“Oh, I adore the kid but you know one of us has to give him the shovel talk eventually.” Harley chuckled getting up to clean the dishes and put the leftovers away.

Elementary
falling for Ushijima was straightforward and uncomplicated—despite the complicated circumstances in which it occurred
Ushijima x f!reader
a/n: my first hq piece and it’s centered around mr. perfect himself. fluff and light angst
wc: 4k
Tumblr media
It wasn’t until you saw Miyagi prefecture’s top ace, Ushijima Wakatoshi, walk behind your mother’s old friend that the real reason behind this meeting smacked you like a volleyball to the face. You were transferring to Shiratorizawa for your third year of high school after attending Aoba Josai for only a year because—well, because your mom decided and that was that. Like everything else in your life since your father left, your mom controlled every aspect of your life from the clothes you wore, the food you ate, the length of your hair, even the way you smelled—or so she thought.
Transferring to another prefecture in your second year of high school had been the icing on the cake when it came to your mother’s obsession with molding you into her ideal of a teenage girl. After the honeymoon stage of her remarriage was over, she decided that Tokyo was too hectic and the three of you would move back to her childhood home of rural Miyagi. Aoba Josai hadn’t been her first choice but Shiratorizawa wouldn’t accept you a month into the school year. There you met your friend, Hanamaki Takahiro, and got talked into managing the boys’ volleyball team for the simple reason that you were new and didn’t fawn over their setter, Oikawa Toru.
At first, your decision had everything to do with rebelling against your mother and joining a club she wouldn’t approve of; however, you soon found yourself enjoying the sport and befriending the team. Managing Seijoh meant you’d crossed paths with Ushijima prior to the awkward lunch you were currently having but you doubted he ever noticed you. Then again, you doubted a ‘volleyball monster’ like him noticed anything that wasn’t a volleyball or the net.
You were perfectly content with eating good sushi and drowning out the chatty women while ignoring your old rival now soon-to-be classmate but Ushijima-san turned her attention to you.
“Y/N, your mother told me you managed the boys’ volleyball team back at Aoba Josai.”
“Yes, I did.” You replied with a polite smile while remembering your mother’s outrage when she’d caught you after a game. Leave it to your mother to turn your rebellious stunt into a wonderful coincidence between you and your soon-to-be suitor, Ushijima.
“Wakatoshi, you’ve played Aoba Josai before. Do you recognize, Y/N?”
Ushijima took his eyes off his food and regarded you. The longer his olive eyes examined your face, the deeper he furrowed his brow—a clear indication he was trying hard to remember your face to no avail. You found yourself pitying him, a fact you would never admit to Oikawa, and spoke up before Ushijima could open his mouth.
“I wasn’t on the court much during the matches so Ushijima probably doesn’t remember me.”
“Oh, I see.” She then turned to her son. “Since Y/N will be attending Shiratorizawa and she has experience managing, why don’t you recommend her for a manager position with your team, Wakatoshi?”
“What?!”
Three sets of eyes were immediately on you while the pair next to you reached under the table and pinched your thigh in silent warning. You immediately lowered your eyes demurely and corrected your outburst.
“It’s just that I don’t have much experience and Shiratorizawa probably already has managers that are more than capable. I wouldn’t want to be a burden.”
“It’s no burden,” Ushijima deadpanned. “We need a new manager this year and since you have experience, I’ll recommend you to the coach.”
“Ah, you really don’t have to go out of your way for me by asking your coach. I wouldn’t want you to get in trouble with him!” You gave him an obvious forced smile and ignored the kick from your mother who read you like a book. The last thing you wanted was to manage a team that wasn’t Seijoh, especially if that team was Shiratorizawa.
“I see the coach everyday during practice so I won’t be going out of my way. He also trusts my judgement so I’m sure he’ll approve of you.”
You were sure any other girl would have jumped at the opportunity to manage a team like them but you weren’t just any girl. You were Seijoh’s ex-manager and couldn’t just switch teams like nothing. The looks of betrayal on the team’s face when they’d see you clad in the white and violet track jacket would be too much to take. Your mother, on the other hand, couldn’t care less about the Seijoh boys and dug her heel into your foot to the point that you had no choice but to thank Ushijima for his thoughtfulness.
“…Thank you, Ushijima.”
Tumblr media
Shiratorizawa was a pleasant surprise for you. The academics were challenging but the support from your teachers and classmates made up for it. The fact that you stayed in dorms also helped ease the tension between you and your mom’s relationship. You argued less when you visited home on the weekends and even found yourself stalling your return on Sunday evenings. Your move to Shiratorizawa was almost perfect except for the whole volleyball manager situation. In the end, Coach Washijo and Ushijima approached you on the first day of school and you cowered under their intimidating gaze to accept the position.
The differences between Seijoh and Shiratorizawa were big and despite your experience, it was a struggle adapting to your new team. The team was very different from their style of play to the way they interacted with each other. You hated to admit it but they practiced long hours and it definitely showed during their matches. Shiratorizawa truly was a team that belonged in Nationals but whether you belonged there alongside them was still to be determined. Three months in and you were still struggling with the paperwork Coach Saito would demand from you after every practice.
“I need the documentation on their serves not their receives, L/N,” Saito stated shaking his head.
“I’m so sorry, Coach. I’ll bring it to your office first thing tomorrow!” You bowed in apology only straightening when he walked away. Biting your lip, you noticed Tendou and Ushijima’s eyes on you and walked away mortified that they witnessed you getting chewed out once again. You ignored the whispers from the other boys as you helped put away the equipment wanting nothing more than to return to your dorm and collapse on your bed. That was only wishful thinking, however, because the paperwork on the teams’ serves needed to be done, so you scribbled away on your notebook while the boys exited the gym.
“Do you need help?”
Ushijima stood in front of you with his signature blank face as his eyes trailed down to the figures on your notebook. You looked around expecting to see Tendou only to realize the two of you were alone.
“Uh, not really. I just have to get the numbers together but thank you, Ushijima.” You went back to flipping through your notebook hoping he’d get the message but instead he sat down next to you on the bleachers and watched you work. Over the past few months, you’d realized that Ushijima wasn’t good with non-verbals. After a while he cleared his throat and you looked up knowing he was about to speak.
“I wanted to thank you for accepting the position. I know it hasn’t been easy for you but we all appreciate your efforts.” His olive orbs were earnest despite the seriousness of his voice. Praise was rare for the team members and even rarer for you. So far, Reon was the only one who expressed his appreciation of you with quick thanks, high fives, or encouraging smiles. You chuckled to Ushijima’s confusion.
“Sorry, I’m just not used to being praised by you guys—well, except for Reon. Thank you, though, for checking up on me.” Your smile was genuine and his brow relaxed. You looked at the clock and realized the lights would go off soon so you packed your things and decided to head to the library to finish your work and start your homework.
“I’m gonna head to the library to finish this. Will you be going back to the dorms?”
“Yes, to shower and study for the history exam.”
You groaned at the reminder of your exam tomorrow which you meant to study for tonight. “I completely forgot about the exam tomorrow. I should really get going so I’ll see you later!” You bounded for the door but stopped when Ushijima called after you and met you by the door.
“We can study together. I am meeting with the other third years. We can help you finish the paperwork and then study for the exam.”
Being around the other third years, Tendou in particular, made you uncomfortable but you really needed to do well on the exam so you accepted and the two of you walked towards the dorms together. That night you learned more about the boys than you had over the past three months in practice. Semi and you bonded over music and sushi, Tendou cracked jokes about Ushijima that made you burst out laughing, and Reon answered all of the questions you had about the first and second years. You were so absorbed in your conversation with Tendou that you didn’t notice the small smile on Ushijiima’s face with his gaze solely fixed on you.
It was almost curfew when Ushijima and you walked towards your dorm after he insisted on escorting you. After spending time with him and the others, you felt more relaxed by his side and the urge to learn more about him ate away at you. You asked him about volleyball and that got him talking about his dad and his parents—a topic you could easily relate to.
“My dad isn’t around either,” You admitted. “He left when I was ten. I haven’t seen him since but he was never around much before anyway.”
“You seemed close with your mother,” He observed and you chortled in return.
“She’s my only parent so I don’t have much of a choice. That and she takes pleasure in controlling every aspect of my life to mold me into the perfect daughter.”
“My mother is also life that. She was very strict about my upbringing.”
“That’s probably why they’re such good friends,” you muttered and Ushijima did something you’d never seen him do—he chuckled. It was a low rumble in his chest that shouldn’t have sounded that pleasant but it did and you grinned satisfied that you got THE Ushijima to chuckle.
“How did your mom react to you playing volleyball?” You asked sitting on the bench near your dorm while Ushijima sat next to you.
“She was against it at first and only accepted it when I showed promise in it.” While Ushijima’s voice didn’t show much emotion, you found his eyes to be more expressive and fixed your attention on them as he stared ahead lost in thought.
“My mother freaked out when she found out I was managing Seijoh. It was the one thing I fought her tooth and nail on and actually won.”
“Really? She seemed pleased when I suggested you manage our team.” You giggled at his obliviousness to the plan your mothers had hatched since that fateful sushi lunch.
“I’m sure she found some merit in me managing the volleyball team.” With that you stood up and Ushijima mimicked you once again. “Anyway, thanks for tonight.”
The corners of Ushijima’s mouth twitched into an approximation of a smile that you found amusing. “You’re welcome. Have a good night, L/N.”
Tumblr media
After getting to know Ushijima, you found yourself relying on him more and more during practice and games. It was only natural, of course, that you would interact with the captain the most and found your closeness to him reasonable. Just as you had grown closer to him, you had also gotten comfortable with the rest of the team and vice versa. Tendou, in particular, noticed you were clinging more to Ushijima than normal during the team’s first away game of the season. He made quips about you throughout the various sets the team played.
“Wakatoshi is over there, Y/N.”
“Do you want me to get Wakatoshi?”
“Need Wakatoshi again, Y/N?”
As the evening went on, you went from ignoring him to chucking a water bottle at him. It seemed that the more you reacted to his comments the more he wanted to tease you. Tendou found the perfect opportunity after the last set when you were reviewing your observations with Ushijima on his spikes and serves. While you found the proximity of your bodies perfectly reasonable, Tendou thought otherwise and voiced his opinion to the rest of the team.
“Wow, you guys look real good together. Like a couple!” The team mostly ignored him, used to Tendou’s outbursts, but the smug look on his face riled you up and you gripped your notebook ready to launch it at his face.
“L/N always looks good. She doesn’t need me for that.”
You could have heard a pin drop from how silent the gym had gone. Everyone’s attention was on the three of you—even the coach’s, to your mortification. You avoided looking at the person who’d caused the commotion and instead glared at Tendou until you saw the rare shock on his face that quickly melted into one of his genuine grin’s.
“Haaa...if you say so, Wakatoshi-kun.” He stalked passed your side but not before addressing you. “You heard him, Y/N.”
With burning cheeks, you turned to face Ushijima, who scanned your face in confusion. The longer he stared the redder your face got until he voiced the concern eating at him.
“Do you have a fever? Your face is flushed.”
You backed away and made up an excuse about the heat in the gym before putting away your notebook. Needing space to clear your head, you told Ushijima you would send him his data from the match later before you grabbed the water bottle bag and scrambled out of the gym to the bus. You tried blaming your scarlet face on the scene Tendou had caused but your traitorous heart raced as Ushijima’s words rang in your head like a mantra.
“L/N always looks good”
“L/N always looks good”
“L/N. always. looks. good”
Tumblr media
While you knew that it would be inevitable, the match between Seijoh had you more nervous than usual. The boys knew you were Shiratorizawa’s manager and most of them had taken it pretty well. Hanamaki and Matsukawa still went to the movies with you and Iwaizumi occasionally texted you about volleyball but the one who it the hardest was, of course, Oikawa. He blocked your number when you tried reaching out and Hanamaki told you to give him time so you stopped trying. Seeing him again ate at you during the bus ride to your old school and judging from the worried looks the team sent you, they were well aware of your inner turmoil.
It began with Goshiki, your favorite underclassman, reassuring you everything would be okay and walking next to you when Reon and Semi joined him until the entire team surrounded you. Ushijima walked behind you and his confident aura comforted you as you stepped into the gym and your old team regarded you with guarded expressions.
The match ended after three sets but Shiratorizawa won yet again despite Aoba Josai playing better than you’d ever seen them play. Knowing better than to avoid the team, you went to refill your team’s bottles near where Seijoh would exit hoping you would get a chance to greet them. Sure enough, they filed out the double doors and greeted you with waves and nods before Hanamaki, Matsukawa, and Iwaizumi walked out and approached you. They smiled and joked with you despite losing and your heart felt lighter knowing you could still joke around with the boys like this. They left to find the coach for the post-match meeting and you were about to look for your boys when Oikawa rushed out of the gym before stopping in his tracks when he saw you. His usual cocky smile was nowhere to be found and instead he wore a scowl on his face which you knew meant he was upset.
“Well look who we have here. If it isn’t our traitor ex-manager.” You weren’t used to him addressing you coldly and your throat closed.
“O-Oikawa, I kno—”
“Having fun running around with that bastard Ushiwaka?” He stalked towards you and backed you up into the wall.
“I didn’t have a choice, Oikawa. I swear I wasn’t going to do it but things got complicated.”
“I don’t wanna hear your excuses, Y/N. Was this your plan all along? Manage us for a year until Shiratorizawa let you in and then run to them and disclose all our plays, strengths, and weaknesses?” Oikawa closed in on you, his ugly smirk contrasting with his pretty features. “You’re pathetic—”
“Oikawa, don’t take out your anger on our manager. It’s not her fault you lost.”
There was an edge to Ushijima’s normal emotionless tone as he stood next to you. Seeing his strong confident body made you realize you were trembling like a leaf. Oikawa ignored you and placed his full attention on his greatest enemy.
“We’ll beat you next time. Even with a traitor like her by your side we’ll win!” With that, Oikawa threw one last sneer in your direction before stalking away. With all of the fight sucked out of you by Oikawa, you kept your face lowered as you reached for the heavy bag but Ushijima beat you to it and slung the bag over his shoulder.
“Let’s go, Y/N.”
You didn’t know if it was the confrontation with Oikawa or the fact that Ushijima stood by your side but hearing him call you by your first name triggered an emotional switch within you and sobs escaped the confines of your mouth. Before Ushijima could turn around, you gripped his jacket and buried your face in it to muffle your cries; the last thing you wanted was to cause another scene. Ushijima stayed still until your cries ceased and that was when you discovered that he also radiated comforting warmth. You stuck by his side the rest of the day ignoring the surprised looks from the team.
Tumblr media
On the rare weekends that you didn’t have volleyball or schoolwork to do, you still spent them with Ushijima—and your respective families. Your mothers had stopped being discrete about their intentions regarding the two of you but Ushijima seemed blissfully unaware. You had already accepted your feelings for Ushijima but the smug look on your mother’s face every time Ushijima would pull your chair during dinner or would wait for you to walk together fueled your determination not to show them, at least not in her presence. Years of quietly rebelling against your mother’s control made it hard to accept the fact that she was right about Ushijima.
When you weren’t with your families, you clung to Ushijima more. He was your pillar not only on the team but in school as well. You sought him out regularly until the two of you did everything together, occasionally joined by Tendou, Semi, or Reon. Having a crush on Ushijima was easy for you because no matter how much you clung to him or showed your affection with cold water, soft towels, and snacks; he would never think too much of it. He was completely devoted to volleyball and had no mind to ponder over your tentative glances, tinted cheeks, and lingering touches—or so you thought.
It was the end of the year and volleyball season had ended on a bittersweet note for the third years. While everyone else, including you, scrambled to figure out what to do after graduation, Ushijima knew his place was on the volleyball court and was deciding on what professional team’s offer to accept.
The two of you were sitting on his bed with applications and paperwork spread around the two of you. While Ushijima flipped over contracts from various teams, you looked over the acceptance letters and scholarship offers from universities. You had been on the fence between two schools—one in Tokyo and the other in Osaka—but after reviewing the scholarship money and the program, you decided on Tokyo.
“I’m going with Tokyo,” you declared picking up that school’s acceptance letter. Ushijima glanced at the letter and leaned in to read it. “It’s a good school. I’m sure you’ll do well.”
“What about you? Have you decided on a team?” He turned his attention back to the various papers before fishing out a particular contract. “I just did.”
He showed you the contract for the Schweiden Adlers, a Tokyo based team, and your heart stopped. You searched his face for a hint of hesitation but, true to his character, Ushijima’s face betrayed nothing.
“What do you mean you just did?” You needed to know what he meant because your heart wouldn’t stop racing unless he disproved what you were hoping.
“Since you chose a school in Tokyo, I’d have to choose a team in Tokyo to stay by your side.” He was as earnest as ever but you needed more.
“That’s not a valid reason, Wakatoshi. You need to prioritize your future and pick a team that will let you accomplish your goals.” You choked on your words knowing that his response would most likely break your heart.
“I am thinking about my future,” he replied and your eyes were met by a burning expression you’d only seen during volleyball matches. “My goals are to play professional volleyball and marry you in the future.”
You didn’t breathe, didn’t move a muscle. Your body was frozen on the spot but your heart thumped erratically in your chest. After his words registered, your nose began to sting and tears of joy streamed down your face. A panicked look flashed on Ushijima’s face and you punched his arm.
“How can you say that when we aren’t even dating officially?!”
“I thought we were. We’ve gone on multiple dates, Y/N.” He seemed genuinely surprised by your question and it only riled you up even more.
“You. Never. Confessed! How am I supposed to know?!” You hit him again and again letting out your pent-up frustration. “Do you have any idea how long I’ve been waiting to hear your confession or rejection?! I’ve liked you for a while, you know!”
With a gentleness he only showed around you, Ushijima reached over and wiped the tears from your cheeks. “I like you too, Y/N. I’ve felt this way for quite some time but I figured you knew.”
You clasped his hands and brought them down to your lap. His confession warmed your heart in the way that only he could and you calmed down.
“Since when? How long have you felt this way?” Giving his hands a gentle squeeze, you asked the question you needed to know.
“The first lunch we had with our mothers. I wanted to get to know you better but didn’t know how. When my mother mentioned you managing Aoba Josai, I knew it was my chance. That was why I insisted on you managing the team. It was the only way I could get to know you better.”
You chuckled realizing that he had been uncommonly insistent that day in regard to you managing. Ushijima gave you one of his rare smiles and you acted on your impulses by leaning forward and pressing your lips on his, in a gentle caressing kiss.
Your mother had controlled everything in your life. You would fight her on certain things but, most of the time, she won. You became so accustomed to opposing her decisions that you immediately rejected Ushijima without giving him a proper chance. It wasn’t until you got to know the ‘Super Volleyball Idiot’ that you concluded your mother had been right about one thing—Ushijima Wakatoshi was the only man for you.

Since the day they were born, Park Jongseong and Kim Y/n have been proclaimed enemies. Why was that? Well, the Park and Kim Household have been known to be competing rivals for decades.
Both families ran highly successful and wealthy companies. A little competition of which company was better was expected, wasn’t it? So it was only natural that their grandchildren would hate each other too. This was the environment Jay and Y/n were forced to grow up in.
All their lives, their parents encouraged them to compete with each other, and compete with each other was what they did. From sports to academics, they were always neck and neck. With Jay and Y/n’s agonistic relationship, it wouldn’t be a surprise that the family rivalry would continue to the next generation. But everything took a turn in their senior year of high school.
“Wah Kim Y/n scored the first rank on the exams again,” Jay’s friend, Jake said.
Jay scoffed, “So what? I don’t see the big deal.”
“And what place are you in this time?” Sunghoon asked.
Jay’s eyes flashed with irritation, “Yah, shut up! I’m at least in the top ten.”
Sunghoon and Jake snickered amongst each other. Jay turned to see Y/n standing where the board of their exam results was posted. He could hear her friends and classmates congratulate her on getting first place again. Her responses to all of them were full of shy smiles and polite “thank yous.” Jay would be lying if he said that watching it didn’t irritate him at all.
“Let’s just go,” Jay muttered, walking past his two friends.
Jake and Sunghoon exchanged sighs before quickly catching up to him. Despite the pleasure they took in teasing their friend, they didn’t want to take chances in making Jay any angrier.
“I still don’t understand,” Jake nudged Jay’s elbow. “Why do you hate Y/n? She’s so kind.”
“Yeah but not to me,” Jay pointed out. “You have no idea how annoying she is.”
Jay didn’t want to explain it any further. Frankly, he couldn’t fully explain why he didn’t like Y/n to himself. Yeah, their parents hated each other’s guts. Jay always thought of Y/n as the quiet and polite goody-two-shoes who didn’t know how to have fun. Whereas Y/n thought the male was loud, obnoxious, and egotistical.
Whenever he was forced to be around Y/n she somehow managed to remain both polite and irk him at the same time. It was clear that she wasn’t very fond of him. But she was never very vocal about it as Jay was.
“Isn’t she and her family going to be at that business party tonight?” Sunghoon then asked, earning a solid glare from Jay.
“Oh, thanks for reminding me Sunghoon-ah, that completely slipped my mind!” Jay said sarcastically.
To him, it was just another one of those stupid parties where snobbish CEOs came together to boast about their recent and current successes. They used their children as an additional trophy to show how much better their families were thriving than the others.
The thought of it all made Jay sick. If it was up to him, he wouldn’t go at all. But he didn’t want to deal with the wrath of his parents scolding him, so he had no choice but to attend.
The only good part about tonight’s events was that Jake would be at the party. Jake was also the son of a rich CEO except his family was more humble about it.
Sunghoon didn’t come from a super-wealthy family like he and Jake. But he already had his future set up as a figure skater. Ice skating was clearly something that Sunghoon was passionate about. Jay couldn’t help but envy that. Being the heir to his father’s company wasn’t exactly what he’d consider his dream job.
“It’ll be fine, Hyung,” Jake reassured him. “I got your back.”
Oh, how Jay hoped that tonight wouldn’t be as bad as he anticipated it to be.
~ ~ ~
The school day was finally over and Jay for once wasn’t itching to leave. Sunghoon and Jake weren’t outside yet, so Jay walked around a bit as he waited for them. That was when he saw two people talking at the corner of the school building. They seemed to be trying to avoid others joining in on their conversation.
Jay mentally groaned when he saw that it was Y/n and her boyfriend, Choi Jungwoo. The two had started dating a few months ago, not that Jay cared.
“Let’s go hang out with my friends,” Jungwoo said to Y/n.
“I can’t today Jungwoo-ah. I have homework to do,” She responded quietly. “And Eomma wants me to come home early to prepare for the party tonight.”
“Aish you’re such a buzzkill Y/n-ah,” He whined. “Do your homework later, I want to show you off to my friends.”
Y/n tightened her grip on her bag. She wanted to tell Jungwoo that she wasn’t some shiny prize to brag around to others. But she was afraid of what would happen to her if she did.
“I’m sorry, Jungwoo-ah,” She smiled at the taller male. “Maybe I can join you and your friends tomorrow.”
Jay shook his head to himself, what was he even doing here? He should just go and find his friends. He was about to leave until he saw Jungwoo's demeanor change.
The annoyed expression on Jungwoo’s face quickly turned into anger. Without holding back his impulses, the boy harshly slapped his girlfriend across the face.
“AH!” Y/n yelped, stumbling back at the impact of his hit.
“Aish you always say that,” Jungwoo’s eyes darkened. “Do you think I’m an idiot, Y/n-ah?”
Y/n pressed her hand against her now stinging cheek, “I-I’m not lying. You-you know how my parents are, Jungwoo-ah. They want me to focus on my studies.”
“Yeah, and it was your mother who wanted us to be together,” Jungwoo spat.
“I swear if your parents weren’t rich, I would’ve never even thought about dating a boring girl like you.”
Jay watched as Y/n looked away, trying not to let Jungwoo see her cry. There were a million things he wanted to say and do, but instead, Jay found himself walking away from the scene. He couldn’t force himself to stay any longer to see what else would happen.
He didn’t know what to think. He just saw Jungwoo violently hit his girlfriend. She wasn’t even doing anything, Jungwoo just didn’t like that Y/n had other things to do. Did he beat her often? As he walked further away, he began to regret not doing anything.
When Jake and Sunghoon met up with Jay, they questioned why he looked so angry. But Jay didn’t want to talk about it, he was still trying to comprehend what had just happened.
Usually, he didn’t hesitate to do the right thing when something was wrong. Somehow it felt different because it was Y/n. Of course, he should’ve been upset, anyone would be if they just saw that. But Jay felt more than upset, he was furious. She was his enemy but he hated the idea of someone hurting her when she did nothing wrong. It pissed him off.
