It had been a very eventful night. A sold out show, followed by a few hours on the strip. They’d really done it all. A couple rounds of drinks to celebrate a fantastic show, some schmoozing with other performers, and a few very successful feats of gambling. He’d won a single number bet in Roulette, thanks to a little help from her. As he was clapped on the back and congratulated for what would likely be the biggest payout of the night, their eyes had met across the table and she winked, indicating that this win was on her.
He’d even convinced her to dance, something she was always shy about. But how could she say no with a little champagne buzz and with him looking so happy, beckoning her to join him. They might as well have been the only people on the floor for all she cared.
It had to come to an end of course. She’d had to take him by the hand and pull him out of the place after he’d collected his payout, and they’d walked back to their home turf, arm in arm and laughing and joking the whole way. She wanted to make sure he made it to his suite before she turned in to her own. Frankly, she didn’t want the night to end. Time spent with him was time very well spent. But, her son had school in the morning and she was responsible for getting him there.
She takes him by his burly shoulders and guides him through the suite to his room. “Come on big guy, big winners need rest too.” Once they’re past the threshold into his room, she steers him to his bed. “Here we go, Mister Mystery.”

AHHH I finished a fic! Finally. Not the fae one but a prequal to the only ateez fic I've posted. I've been trying to get myself to finish it forever. It was sitting at like 60% done for a while and then like 90% done and now fucking finally actually done!
I still need to let it sit for a day or so and do some edits and formatting so I'm not posting it just yet but ugh it feels good to finish it.
