One of these days, I'm gonna be in a fandom where my OTP is the fandom-preferred OTP. I mean, it hasn't happened yet, and I feel its gonna end up being a one-and-done for me, given my track record. But I have to believe it will happen.
And that when it does, I am going to make every effort not to forget my lonely "only curr about the rare pair" roots by actively trying to be nice and encouraging and welcoming to all the rare pair shippers who only ship other pairings instead. Yes even the ones that I personally find boring and/or distasteful and/or "too problematic for me."

Me: I wonder what Hook calls Sampo in the Japanese dub? Probably oji-san, since it's shushu in the original Chinese?
Hook: Sampo-ojichan!!
Tumblr media
Oji is "uncle," which is hilarious because Hook calls Natasha by "older sister" when she wants something. So Hook either just really wants to get on Natasha's good side, or she takes Sampo at face value when he refers to himself as an old man. She trusts him a lot and takes him at his word and she calls him as such!
And Sampo calls Hook either ojou-san or oujo-san (I can't find the Japanese sub to see the spelling, and I can't tell them apart by ear)!
One spelling, oujo, means "princess," it's how you would refer to royalty. The other, ojou, (which I assume is what he's actually saying) is something you call the young lady of a high-class family with a high social standing. In Genshin Impact, the intro scene for a popular ship, chilumi, shows Childe calling Lumine ojou-chan, which the English dub translated as "girlie." Since Sampo uses -san instead of -chan, his is more formal and respectful, it's more like "young lady."
...It's also how you would refer to the daughter of a yakuza leader, which I love, since Hook leads her own little gang (the Moles) skzhkskdkd
But it really gets me in the heart, because! Hook is generally looked at as a delinquent by most adults. Which I mean. Not without good reason, she
calls Natasha an old witch
frequently sneaks out into the Fragmentum
has left graffiti all over the side of the orphanage
was constantly picking fights with other kids
beat a man unconscious for stealing from her dad
and has already picked up on how business gets done in the Underworld, and uses/actively participates in it to get what she wants- she basically acts an information broker
like Hook earns her reputation haha. The Underground is lucky that what Hook wants is just like. Candy and toys and to play hide-and-seek. I'm sure she'll have the capability to raise all kinds of hell and be more like an actual gang leader when she's older, even if she chooses not to act on it.
So Sampo calling her so politely and respectfully is really sweet and cute! Yes, he's polite and respectful with everyone, but that's just it- he treats Hook much like he does everyone else. He doesn't tell her to buzz off because she's a kid. He doesn't lie or try to cheat her or assume she's naive because of her age. He never talks down to her. He really does just treat her like a respected business partner and he takes her seriously, which Hook really seems to appreciate. And even when Sampo does treat her like a kid, it's not in a negative way; he guides her on little adventures and chats with her and takes her for joy rides on his moped. All of which Hook also really appreciates, since everyone else is too busy trying to get by to make time to play with her. She absolutely adores him.
I hope they officially join forces someday and terrorize all of Belobog with their shenanigans JSKJZNDKSJ
So Hook calls Sampo "Uncle Sampo" in a particularly affectionate/endeared tone, and Sampo calls Hook "Young Miss Hook" in a very respectful tone! And to reiterate:

Can I have a breakdown of Prima? :3
Finally, I have an excuse to talk about the Thirteen. Thank you, anon. >:)
How I feel about this character: Strict and unyielding, Prima was the ever vigilant leader of the Thirteen. Raised from a young age to be the guiding force behind her team (yes my Prima is a girl, though she does use she/they), she developed a rigid standard for rules and was quite stubborn in the face of criticism against her. She was committed to fulfilling her destiny as given to her by Primus, who she considers a father to her, and she would do anything to make him proud. After the downfall of the Guiding Hand, she became colder and distrustful of others. She took over as the leader of Crystal City (Cybertron's original capital until it was changed to Iacon by Nova Prime) and claimed it as her territory. She'd always been more independent from the others, but her judgements of them could at times be quite harsh, especially towards Megatronus, who she deemed a reckless liability. She wouldn't realize how much of a role she played in the Schism (the downfall of the Thirteen) until it was too late.
All the people I ship romantically with this character: I don't think she'd touch romance with a 10 foot pole. She preferred being alone more than anything, as she felt security in being able to have total control over her own decisions. She'd be pretty difficult to have a relationship with anyway. She's a control freak and refuses to do anything that isn't by her standards. You might as well try migrating to a new planet, because Prima ain't budging.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Despite the popular belief among the Thirteen, Prima does in fact care about them, in her own way. Her criticism is justified in her mind, because she thinks she's trying to show them the right way. Really, only Vector, Alpha Trion, and the Thirteenth understand her point of view. She doesn't explain her thought process unless it's about strategy or debating, so her personal motives are a mystery to most people.
She gets along most with Vector and Alpha Trion. They take their positions seriously and don't engage in much tomfoolery, so they're a more mature and favorable company in her book.
Out of all of them, she's the most protective of Thirteen. Thirteen is shy and hates it when their friends argue, and Prima's impression of them is a naive optimist. They're more knowledgeable and aware than Prima gives them credit for. The two still have a nice relationship though. Prima is a guiding force for Thirteen, and Thirteen has been known to convince Prima to soften her position on more than one occasion.
The last person she's really affiliated with is Onyx. They both share an appreciation for spiritually and the nature of treating sparks, both born and dead, with utmost care. Their tribes made an alliance a long time ago, and the mutual respect persists to the present day among their descendants.
My unpopular opinion about this character: The Thirteen needs to be in more stuff. Not just in books or in flashbacks or vague murals, I want them in a story with actual interactions. I want to see them battle Unicron, that would be lit. I want to see her flaws showcased to a wider audience. Megatronus gets the most negative attention out of all of them, followed closely by Liege Maximo, and Megatronus hadn't done anything to initially give Prima a reason to dislike him. She considered him the most like Unicron, and it shows how judgemental she is and how her biases affect the way she treats her team.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: If she was even present in canon aside from being a legend. I wouldn't bank on it, but since there seems to be more focus on Quintus with the Earthspark series, it's possible that we will be able to see all of the Thirteen in all their demi god glory one day.
Also: let there be more gender variety in the Thirteen, for the love of god. I love Solus, don't get me wrong, but I feel like they did her dirty by making her the only girl for the sake of the angsty love triangle thing with Megatronus, Liege, and also Nexus for some reason. You cannot tell me that wasn't the reason for her being female. Just- let there be more women. Gender expression and its fluidity is a vital part of the Transformers species, and it should show in the early creation period.
I have many thoughts on the Thirteen and the Guiding Hand, so please feel free to ask about them!

How about your favorite Star Trek ship for the ask game?
Thanks for this ask, Babs! I genuinely appreciate it so much! Although "Bob's Burgers" may be the reason I came to Tumblr, I do like talking about my other interests on here, too, and it's fun to be asked about one of them. (Also, I feel like ship/characters asks in BB fandom can be a bit "Hey! Let me ask you about the thing you already talk about all the time!" sometimes. XD)
So, now for something completely different, I am going to talk about Saru/T'Rina from "Star Trek: Discovery". This is them:
Tumblr media
Ship It
What made you ship it?
Saru was always my favorite character on Discovery, and when they first interacted in "Unification III", I thought they had an interesting, unique chemsitry and kept rooting to see more of them. And to my surprise, I did! (Since I love behind the scenes stuff, it was fun to find this interview with Saru actor Doug Jones where he talks about reading shippiness into the script for that episode, then finding out that it hadn't occurred to the writers, who then proceeded to run with it once he pointed it out to them.)
2. What are your favorite things about the ship?
I love that they are not a pair of young, cool, conventionally attractive humans. Because of their species and their personalities, they both tend to be a little emotionally reserved and cautious. Although they are both middle-aged (or maybe older), you get the sense romance hasn't been a big part of either of their lives previously. It's not easy for them to open up and be vulnerable to each other, but they do and it works out and they make this amazing connection. So, even though they are a pair of aliens in the 32nd Century, I basically see them as a sweet couple of awkward middle-aged people finding each other, which is one of my favorite relationship dynamics (and, yeah, has an element of personal relationship goals to it.)
3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Honestly, "Discovery" is the Trek show I've probably engaged the least with the fandom for, so I genuinely don't know how popular they are or how other people see them. Since fandom tends to be a horny place, it might be unpopular for me to say I have no interest in thinking about their sex life! I love them, but have no desire for NSFW fics or art about them. Maybe they have amazing incomprehisbly awesome alien sex. Maybe their relationship is loving but sexless. I could see either way being plausible, but that aspect isn't what makes them compelling to me.

do u support or like spamtis.. (kris x spamton)
(This is a non-drawing response.)
No. So if you're hoping to see some of that from me, you're not going to, lol.
I know it's popular for some people, but I've never been a big fan of pairings like this. If Kris was an adult (like 20s at bare minimum), I think the dynamic would be cute, but Kris is too young. It goes into the realm of being "problematic," and I completely understand why people find it to be a stupid pairing. I have a friend who dislikes it for this reason.
I prefer them as friends/buddies with some emotional tension. Spamton is obsessed with Kris's soul more than Kris as a person (at least at the start), but we see by the end he comes to appreciate them with more respect.
I realize now some people are looking at the fact I follow some artists who like this pairing and probably think I like it, too. In all honesty, I only really follow these artists for their other stuff or just how they draw Spamton. I only care about HIM. Often times I have to delete the rest of the image in mind just to focus on HIM. I can't tell them, "Can you stop drawing that?" just because it's not my cup of tea. There are plenty of artists outside of this fandom who also draw crap that I don't like, but again, I can't say, "Can you please stop that" because I'm not their dad. I can like some stuff an artist does (like how they draw Spamton, for instance) and not like all the weird other stuff they do. One of my close friends draws a type of fetish art I don't like at all, but I'm not going to tell him, "Stop that. I don't like it."
Hell, I don't like Spamton x Jevil that much, either. I think that pairing deletes Spamton's coulrophobia, a major part of his character, just to make that work. I like some of the art people do of them, but I have to just think of it like an AU or OoC because Spamton, in character, would never go to bed with that bastard. The pairing is best as a joke, in my opinion, but some people absolutely adore them. I can't control what people like.
My all-time favorite pairing is Blue Addison x Spamton! I absolutely adore those two. Literally no better pairing that fits well with Toby's narrative style. Mike x Spamton is a possible ship as well, but since we don't know much about him, I have my reservations. Sometimes I like Pink Addison with Spamton, but eh... I prefer Blue Addison.
Hope that answers your question, anon!

I just saw your Pim and Oscar headcanon post and I saw the tags and now I'm curious. What are your other headcanons? I just think that your headcanon is cool and yeah! :3
OHHH YEAHHHHH sorry if I didn't replied in time! I rarely check my ask box nowadays but I'm glad someone asked!!!! :3
I'm assuming you mean the main 4. However, I think I'll talk about Charlie and Pim first and then in a future post I'll show hcs for the rest ^_^
----
Charlie:
A social media I think he would have is totally instagram. Dude's close friends list is to show whatever thing he's in (and to also post himself shirtless sometimes) and nothing really more. Tbh.
He probably got his drinking issues from his uncle. To be fair, I like to think he lived close to where he was in his childhood and teenage years, so his parents would meet him quite often. Charlie grew close to his uncle... which also meant in both good and bad ways. His heart problems are genetic too. Bad luck moment I guess.
This one's a quite more personal but I think he probably appreciated more about what was around him after his death and revival. Though he doesn't admit it often. I quite get it because if you go to hell and are about to get tortured (until God himself brings you back alive in your funneral), I would be too.
This one is semi-popular I know but he got exposed to the internet way too early. God. Kinda feel bad for him because of that.
He sends those Alpha Male videos to Pim, he always gets confused and just replies with a "????"
He met Pim in his first days of working as a Smiling Friend. At first they rarely worked together, but then they're well, the friends we see and appreciate now :-]
Now onto some basic hcs: Cis male (he/him) + Pan. If he was human I'll see him as part Latino too
---
Pim:
His sister is older than him, which explains why she thinks he's annoying. They have a 2-4 year gap imo (coming from someone who has older siblings. I can understand this feeling Pim)
Pim probably met Oscar because he found a small letter/paper(? Thing regarding to Spamtopia. It had a number to casually talk to people and since he was young and didn't know better, he decided to call it.
A reason as of why he's a hopeless romantic may be due to his trauma at living in a dysfunctional family. He sometimes would imagine living in a place where his family isn't like the current hell it is,,, kinda sad-
He's Mr Boss' favorite employee! He appreciates this critter's job and how successful he is! :-]
He wears contacts instead of glasses, unlike when he was a kid, but rarely.
He's VERY GOOD at video games, until the point Charlie has to genuinelly compete with him when it comes to playing together. Not just Gwimbly that is, REALLY any video game; mostly fighting and adventure ones!
And other misc ones! Cis male (he/him) + bi. I don't really ship CharPim but I see them as Bi4Pan/Pan4Bi :3
----
AAAAHHH SORRY FOR LONG POST can you see I'm very normal about them. Idk if some of them make sense or not but HERE THEY ARE!!!!!!!!!! Hope you enjoyed them anon.

In Regards to the Final Bracket
Hey, all.
I'm what many would describe as a "lurker." I'm quite shy when it comes to things like this, that is, posting my opinion on the internet. It's not something I ever planned to do, nor something I'm confident in, but it is something I've been meaning to do for a few days now.
So why am I writing this? It's simple, really, I voted for SuleMio in the poll.
First of all, I want to get some disclaimers and the like out of the way, along with a TL:DR.
Destiel is absolutely sacred history, and it always will be. I do not mean to downplay its significance. It is important to not only lgbtq+ but also fandoms as a whole. Without Destiel, I doubt the internet would have developed in the same way, for better or worse. (I mean, we wouldn't have Tumblr, would we?)
With that being said, it is also important to mention that Destiel isn't the only history. History is ever-changing, there's always more being added, and in this case, that is SuleMio. While Destiel changed the course of the internet when it was popular, SuleMio is changing it now.
Okay, now for a quick TL:DR
Destiel is important for history, but SuleMio is important for the future. Neither is better than the other; they're amazing in their own ways. We really shouldn't be fighting over something we can easily agree on. They are both ships that revolutionized in their times, and they are both ships that deserve to be respected, as do the people supporting them.
-----
Now to start the rambling!
So, I created a Tumblr to vote in this bracket. When I first stumbled upon it and voted, I actually had no idea what Destiel was (later looked it up, and I've seen Supernatural, so y'know, "oh, neat.") More than that, I was only introduced to Gundam as a franchise in late March, being through a friend who recommended G_Witch to me (which I am ever-grateful for).
In a way, I'm absolutely an outsider. I haven't been with either ship for very long and haven't experienced the same things others have experienced. I haven't even finished Supernatural, nor was I there when Bandai said SuleMio was "up for interpretation."
And yet, I'm here, putting my thoughts on paper because I think this is important.
That is, respecting what came before and respecting what will come after.
Destiel and SuleMio are two sides of the same coin. We can sit here and whine about the little things...
But Destiel isn't canon!
But Sulemio didn't kiss!
Don't care, that's not the point here. The point is that both of these ships, these relationships, have affected many communities and have touched many hearts. There's no right or wrong, no "mine's better" or "yours is stupid," they're just ships, but more than that, they are history.
Let's start with one of the biggest things. Destiel is Tumblr, isn't it? I was too young when all of that happened to be on Tumblr, so frankly, I didn't know until recently that it was history, but even so, I can appreciate it. I never went on Tumblr, but I did like a lot of stuff on it (you guys are really funny.) What I mean is, I have no history with Tumblr, yet I can still appreciate what has happened.
Not to say that you have to, of course. I get being tired of Destiel, feeling like its beating a dead horse. But let's stop and imagine for a moment, heck, maybe even two moments, that in twenty years when SuleMio is old news, and there's a new, big queer ship on the table, there will be some people clinging onto what came before. In this case, I'm certain I'll still have a soft spot for SuleMio; I'll probably hang onto it until I die (24 fanfictions on AO3 doesn't go away that easily, y'know), but I'm also certain that the new ship would probably win.
It's as I mentioned earlier. History is ever-changing, ever being built upon. There's always something new, something someone begins with, and there's also something old and something someone has always been with, if that makes any sense?
Destiel is that something old; it's what came before, but just because it's not the present anymore doesn't mean its accomplishments should be overlooked. Furthermore, SuleMio isn't even a year old yet. It's fresh off the press, fresh in our minds, and it's definitely one of the most important pieces of media to be released in the 2020s. It's new, but like Destiel, its accomplishments shouldn't be overlooked because of how old it is.
In the end, this poll was just something silly to get our little gremlin minds going. I mean, we all knew it would end like this, didn't we? In discourse--when it comes to ships, it's always discourse.
Y'know, I was there for bmblb vs blacksun, and yikes.
Anyway, as I was saying, this isn't something we should be fighting about. Especially not calling people names, as I've seen a few people do. No matter what the case, insulting others for disagreeing with you will never do anything but make you look immature.
Ah, side tangent, my bad.
This is getting long, oopsies, but I thought it was important to get some of this on paper... er, computer? Because I hate to see a community in disarray when we should be celebrating both of these ships for what they've done and what they could do.
I think that's everything, yeah. Stay safe, drink water, consume lots of queer media, and have some fun. :3

Hi!After the chat on Discord I came up with a request about Salazar who managed to defeat Sparrow and became human again and returns to Spain, there he meets a storyteller who tells the children the stories of the Silent Mary and Salazar is infatuated by her stories, in the end he falls in love with her.
This plot has been tormenting me for some time, if you don't accept don't worry <3
Ah hello love!! I love idea but this block is giving me permission only to write short so yeah sorry that is short T^T I hope you will like it
Somewhere in Caribbean sea
Tumblr media
Salazar POV
Finally, my revenge is completed. I killed Sparrow and took trident to Spain. No pirate will be able to have this thing. My crew and me were tht most popular topic in Spain now. While I was walking down the street I saw some kids sitting around young woman. I wanted to see what are they doing so I walked a little further to them
"A story begins somewhere far from Spain, Somewhere in Caribbean sea. Our Capitàn Salazar and his ship The Silent Mary. Capitàn hates pirates they killed his family, so he decided to hunt every pirate that lives. One day he met a silly young pirate called Jack Sparrow"....
I was listening to her beautiful voice saying my story. Unfortunately I had to go somewhere else, I took one kid and gave him coins to put in girl's mug. While I was working I couldn't stop thinking about that girl. She looked like she wasn't really doing it for money, but if she can get money with what she loves to do why not. I wanted to get one drink so I went to a bar. People were having fun, music was good but I won't be here much so Im alright with atmosphere. I sat and got my drink but than I saw that storyteller dancing. She had that beautiful black and red dress. Red flower in her hair. She noticed me and started walking towards me.
"Buenas noches, Capitán. How can I help you?" she said and sat on chair opposite of me.
"Help me?"
"When a man looks at women he wants something, so what do you want Capitàn?"
I smiled at her sentence.
"Well if you want me to be honest, I was admiring you dear"
She blushed a little because of nickname.
"Tell me do you tell stories for money or your pleasure?" I asked.
"Both. It started because of pleasure but people started to pay me for that. Oh and also here I need to give you this back" she said and gave me money that I gave her back.
"Noo, it's yours. I liked your story I payed" I said.
"You payed too much" she said and gave me bag of coins back.
"Than let me take you on a date and pay you like that for telling my story"
"But Im from poor family Capitàn. Why would you go on date with me?"
"You don't need money, I will give you the world so you can tell beautiful stories, my dear" I said and kissed her hand.
She smiled at me.
"Than take me to Caribbean sea, Capitàn" she said and left my table, leaving me without any information about her.
"You never told me something about you" I yelled
She turned around.
"Find me!!"
"At least give me your name, love" I yelled.
"It's (name)" and she disappeared.

OKAY SO I HEARD ABOUT YOU BEING A COMPLETE YO KAI WATCH FAN AND BUCK ENJOYER AS THE BIGGEST BUCK ENJOYER MYSELF I WANT TO HWAR ABOUT YOUR HEADCANONS IF YOU WOULD NOT MIND, I WOULD LIKE TO INFO DUMP TO EACH OTHER ABOUT HIM BECAUSE HE IS SUCH A REAL CHARACTER I LOVE HIM
Tumblr media
LIIIIIIIIIIIIIITERALLY THE CHARACTER EVER i will gladly drop everything i think about him (or like half of it at least) here. Absolutely. He taught me how it feels to have an obscure fave HAHA
One big thing is that I age up the Yokai Watch characters with me cause they're my No. 1 comfort characters, so Buck (and everyone else) are young adults (like 18). Also Buck is Mexican/Honduran because he has too much swag not to be
Out of the YW3 trio (Nate, Buck, Hailey) it's BUCK that's the smartest. He gets pretty good grades with minimal studying and only puts in effort for big exams. The first time Nate saw he got 100% on a test he was so mad because they blew the past week doing nothing but Yokai stuff
Also he's just really good leader material for the trio. Nate of course is the best leader for Yokai and everyone in general (when times are tough) but Buck thinks ahead well
Is extremely popular in town. Literally 65% of people know him by name. He's charismatic and makes friends easily when he wants to
Has a bad habit of laughing at jokes for a little too long. Nate has dry humor and when it catches Buck off guard he'll be snickering like half an hour after it dropped. "You're still laughing?" "It was funny!"
He initially gets envious of Nate and Hailey having Yokai watches but when they bring him to get one he's like damn wait these kinda look like ass. He strolls out of the Yopple store whistling and appreciating his necklace tenfold and the others are astonished.
(Whisper, diehard Yopple stan, wants to bite him for a week)
Five Assigned Yokai Partner: Shadow Venoct. Reasoning? Shadow Venoct is my favorite. Buck is my favorite. Plus it's cool like why not. I honestly think Shadow Venoct would meet Buck and they'd just click well because Buck wouldn't shy away from him. Shadow Venoct hangs out with him and Buck doesn't need a medal to summon him (just has to say his name with intent)
Buck has trust issues but they only flare up when new people are entering his circle. When Nate was becoming friends with his friends, Buck instantly got defensive and tried shaking him off. Same thing for Hailey suddenly befriending Nate, which makes Buck initially very standoffish with her. It felt like they were invading his space and he needed to know if they would click well before he started being friendly
Buck also eventually realizes that his family can naturally see Yokai, but he couldn't for some reason. (Or at least his sister Dorothy can). It saddens him deeply but he tries not to dwell on it too much. He's got his lucky UFO stone and that's what matters now
Okay back to fun stuff. HE'S THE MOST INSANE ONE ON ADVENTURES BECAUSE HE WON'T FUCKING SIT DOWN he's constantly on his feet poking around SOMEWHERE. Buck absolutely REFUSES to rest when there is something interesting and exciting he could be doing Nate has to cover him so often
Wishes he had the Yokai Watch Certified Pistol
I am a Nate/Buck yaoi truther (I want what they have so bad) but the comedic appeal of Nate being into his sister is also huge. Buck finds out Nate and Hailey are both vying for Dorothy's attention and proceeds to be a MENACE. Nate gets tossed into the ocean and Hailey has to cope with an anime figure release being pushed back
(Buck asked his parents to pull a few strings and refused to elaborate on when he became "interested in anime stock marketing")
Nate and Buck are absolutely gay for each other though. I don't do ships but it's undeniable it's just a fact. The one of like four ships I DO accept as my own
He constantly switches between calling Yokai 'Yokai' and aliens. It's a hard habit to break okay cut him some slack a burger with hands and legs is NOT a ghost LMFAO
Whisper and Buck sometimes butt heads. Buck will call Whisper out for Googling (YO-GOOGLING?) and Whisper reprimands Buck for doing risky things. Buck has also pulled on Whisper's tuft a few times but come on everyone else absolutely has understand his situation
Buck is effectively Nate's right hand man and vice versa. When Nate can't rely on Jibanyan or Whisper for something, his next stop is Buck
I HOPE THESE WERE FUN HEADCANONS TO READ!!!!!!! It has been a LONG time since I've thought hard on him but GOD I LOVE HIM HE'S THE BEST. THE CHARACTER EVER. Buck Hazeltine is a staple for my favorite characters he's THE face of "green characters that are witty, smile a lot, and five will inevitably love". Ugh he's awesome
And thank YOU for sending me this ask!!!! (I LOVE OPPORTUNITIES TO TALK IT'S MY FAVORITE ACTIVITY)

The Bluey Drama (even though I like the show)
As an adult who loves kids shows, I appreciate how Bluey is fun for both kids and adults and I can enjoy it a lot. It's an adorable and fun show and even though I still prefer the more nostalgic kids shows, I still enjoy Bluey because it keeps the simplicity of the 2000s-2010s shows that I grew up with. I'm only 21, so I am a young adult, and I repeat YOUNG adult! I also have trauma (and probably also neurodivergent but wasn't diagnosed) so I'm very happy that a kids show because popular enough with adults so that more people are accepting to people like me watching shows meant for preschoolers. However, there are some issues that popped up recently. For the longest time, fans have been really respectful of the show and sweet, but people are now taking things too far!
It's sad how Bluey and Nanalan' seemed like shows that kids, teens, and adults can love, but some people will easily ruin it for the kids and the normal adult fans. For one thing, shipping kids is freaking disturbing! Like, most of the drama is because grown adults were speculating on who Bluey's future partner is in a scene that showed her as an adult with a kid. WHY ARE WE HAVING A DEBATE OVER THAT? Like, even though it flashed forwards to when Bluey's older, she is still a kid in the majority of the show and it's really creepy that 30 something year olds are having a debate over who a 7 year old's future partner is. Also, people straight up ship her with Makenzie or Jean Luc and as I said before, shipping kids is freaking disturbing! Especially if you're an adult and you're obsessed with a 6 or 7 year olds being in a relationship. Even when parents think their kids have a crush at that age. it's weird! They're just LITTLE KIDS! Like, at this point you can't watch an enjoy the show without having a debate over who the father of the baby is. Now if you're like 20 and you're watching a show where most of the characters are teens and you see a couple on the show and you're like "Aw what a cute couple!" it's fine, but if you're old and you're debating over who the father of Bluey's future child is, then it's weird!
Also, weirdos in the fandom have made NSFW of Bluey, and I understand that it was mostly involving Bandit and it's fine as long as it's only adult characters. However, remember that there are still kids who enjoy the show and you don't want to ruin it for them like people ruined My Little Pony for the kids. Also, Bandit simps are not as bad as Bronies from what I remember, and I hope that the fandom will stay calm and not get out of hand. Like, the thing is that if adults get too weird with the fandom, it will soon drive the kids away and we won't realize how good the messages actually are in both shows. Both Bluey and My Little Pony actually tackle topics that other kids shows don't normally cover, and they deserve to be hyped over for that! It's okay to simp for Bandit and that attractive voice of his, but just remember that there are still children in the fandom too.
I really wish we could have nice things! Bluey wasn't the only show that weird adults were ruining, Nanalan almost got hit too. NANALAN! The puppet show with that "Who's that wonderful girl?" song meme! Yes, they had an episode with a little boy that Mona played with, a FRIEND and only a friend, and people got so angry because they thought Mona had a boyfriend. I'm sure if it was another girl, people wouldn't get so upset but because it was a boy, they automatically assumed "they're a couple" and people were commenting things like "Stay away from Mona!". I couldn't believe these comments! Me and a few other people were addressing how crazy these people were in the comments. Like, it's a kids show and it's fine for adults to enjoy it, just please don't get too upset over little issues.
Anyway, tell me your thoughts! I know there's a lot to talk about here.

The flashbacks in this episode were…something. I’m going to likely be that person who goes against popular opinion and say that I actually liked the use of the flashbacks. Were there too many? Absolutely! However, I do appreciate what they were trying to be. A way of visually showing Kang contexualizing his feelings for Sailom as they happened. Most of the time, when a character in a drama realizes that they like another, there is that montage of romantic moments of the two characters growing closer to each other. The big difference is that while there is usually only one, this time, the editors seem to air on the side of being too heavy handed with the metaphor.
Kang spends the episode conflicted about his feelings about Pimfah, about Sailom and about Pimfah’s feelings about Sailom. Love triangles are tricky things to do and I liked this one. I even liked how quickly it started and got resolved. Going too deeply, and spending too much time lingering in, Pimfah’s feelings for Sailom would have slowed the show down in a way that wouldn’t have worked (and yes I do agree that the show needs a bit of a slow down). It also risks turning Pimfah into a character she isn’t. She isn’t meant to be a jealous girlfriend nor a competitor for Kang. She is her own character with her own storyline (*looks at Pimfah and the student teacher* Harold they’re lesbians). She also serves as a narrative device to help Kang and Sailom get close (Guy also serves this function within the episode). Kang needed to see her feelings for Sailom in order to confront his own about her and Sailom.
Each flashback serves this function. Every time something happened, it would be accompanied by a flashback and more often than not, a pensive look from Kang (a part of me would very like to know exactly how many times Perth got “now I need to stare thoughtfully into the middle distance” as an instruction). Kang had to rethink and recontextualize just about every interaction he’s had with Sailom since being forced to be tutored by him. Kang does not have much in the way of emotional intelligence (which is the result of many factors both within and outside of Kang’s control) so he doesn’t, can’t, figure it out quickly. Kang himself has said that it has been told to him since he was young. He has to grow up, find a nice woman, get married and have children to carry on the family name. He doesn’t believe he can deviate from that path. That it’s the only path that will make his father proud, that will make his father pay attention to him and love him. It’s the only path that will make him feel worthy of something he should be getting already, his father’s love.
Which also brings to a thought I’ve been having since the beginning. I don’t know how many other people have thought this, but I don’t think Kang has ever actually liked Pimfah. They get along fine and are friends, but I don’t think Kang has ever actually had anything in the way of romantic feelings for her. I think he just decided on her because she was a safe choice. She is his friend, one he knows he gets on with, she seems to like him well enough and also, she is the daughter of one of his father’s business associates. There is no way his father would disprove of her. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Kang’s father has mentioned something about Pimfah in the past or Kang and Pimfah’s fathers wouldn’t have tried to get them together a few years down the line.
Kang has buried how he really feels so far down. He has to take the time to truly dig it up and come to terms with it and I honestly don’t even think he really did that before he kissed Sailom. He figured it out sure, but he hasn’t come to terms with it. He just knows that if he doesn’t act now, he’ll lose Sailom to someone else, whether that is Pimfah or Guy or someone else. It also hasn’t escaped my notice that both of the possibly “love rivals” Kang has had have been characters that are a part of the shows secondary ships, which I also absolutely think is intentional.
The flashbacks are a narratively and visual tool to help the audience go on that journey with Kang. There were too many of them sure, but even that works in this situation, because it shows that Kang isn’t just going off of instinct. He is re-examining his feelings, even if he always jumps to the wrong conclusion in the end, but hey denial will do that to you. This show does have its issues and I think a lot of them do stem from the philosophy of “airing on the side of too heavy handed for it’s own good” in its use of tropes and pacing but in this particular case, even if they were kind of annoying by the end, I think it still worked.

ok ep 1 rewatch thoughts
appreciating a lot more how crozier’s relationship with both franklin and fitzjames is actively bad, not merely difficult. also that this obviously plays into the overall themes of civilisation and imperialism. crozier is not from the imperial metropole and is treated as such, and his manner is accordingly brusque and, well, uncivilised, whereas franklin and fitzjames cultivate (in jfj’s case very consciously) imperial charm and civility, but obviously this is pure vanity and an affectation which is actively harmful to their crew. when he’s stuck in an environment which operates on the rules of victorian social engagement, crozier’s lack of civility means he will never be listened to no matter how clearly he articulates obvious truths, and f&f’s extreme reliance (for various reasons) on that civility for power means they cannot capitulate.
really really liked hickey closing young’s coffin - i dislike the interpretation that hickey is just a psychopath who cut loose after things went to shit because it’s so boring. moments like this are good reminders that even though okay yeah he had already killed a guy for a free trip hickey nonetheless adhered to some of the basic trappings of, i guess, civilisation as defined by human respect (not civility a la the above point). AND it’s crucial that this is shown specifically through his insistence on respecting the dead, when it’s the lack of that very respect that will characterise some of his worse deeds later on.
ALSO very important in this scene is that tozer is the one telling him it doesn’t matter; foreshadows that tozer will be pretty chill with cannibalism later on
the fact that stanley makes goodsir perform the autopsy on young even though he doesn’t want to - obviously foreshadowing the eventual intrumentalisation of the body for cannibalism, but also showing how the hierarchy of imperialism means that those at the bottom have the bloodiest hands. for all that obviously franklin and the other officers are at the top of this scale on the ships they’re still at the end of the day bit players in the overall imperial project, and as dispensable to the admiralty as you might expect - those at the centre of power, who never have to succumb to the moral sacrifices (cannibalism, abandoning your friends etc) that the Terror crew have to. worthy reminder as well that franklin, whose desperation for glory is obviously an inherently imperial one and is also what dooms everybody on board the ships, dies in ep3 and so is spared all of the suffering and moral capitulation that’s in store for the rest. and of course ultimately this scene’s key purpose is reminding us that goodsir is the instrument of imperialism whether he realises this or not, and despite his otherwise staunch moral compass and openness to silna is complicit in colonialism as much as the next member of her majesty’s navy.
collins’ diving into the sea and seeing billy orren’s corpse still the scariest thing in this whole goddamn show
franklin continues to irritate me more than anything but there’s something interesting to the fact that he is extremely beloved by his men but very clearly loves them only as instruments for his glory and because he wants to be liked. i mean this was obvious the first time but it’s worth repeating because i hate him so much. more germane is the reminder that he’s really religious - im too tired to properly figure this one out atm but something something eucharist monologue, christianity being easy to twist and warp vs the crew and franklin especially (and even goodsir) being completely uninterested in netsilik beliefs (taking silna’s dad’s charms pretty clearly dooming them).
also interesting in the context of the above is the fact that fitzjames is like, obviously more popular with the officers than franklin. specifically gore, it seems, because he looks to fitzjames first for approval when crozier asks him about seeing the sun-dogs, and fitzjames also nods at him when franklin initially dismisses his ice reports. nonetheless a good example of how fitzjames’ social skills have got him where he is but aren’t enough to prevent disaster because he can’t (and won’t) really put them to use where they would be needed (siding with crozier against franklin).
speaking of fitzjames he also looks actively terrified at several points during the last ten minutes. and franklin makes no effort to reassure him get this man a better father figure stat

YEAH YEAH YEAH 2, 16, 17, 18
and 20 ! i like asking 20 (asks aren't open on your ace attorney sideblog btw)
(Oops maybe side blogs can't accept asks? Oh well I'll just have to answer them on my main blog instead of my ace attorney side blog then :P)
2: a headcanon you weren't sure about at first but have come to like!
Before playing aa4 and aa5 I wasn't sure about hcing Apollo as a trans male and Athena as a woman and austic. But once I finished both characters intro games I've come to adopt these hc's myself as I can see both of them socially transitioning as kids. Plus Athena having super sensitive ears and struggling more with that as a kid is very relatable as that's an austic trait I have (unfortunately it doesn't allow me to hear peoples emotions and just means I can't cope with vaccum cleaners and hand dryers (TT O TT)) so her backstory definitely led me to hc her as austic lol.
16: a tiny detail in canon that you want more people to appreciate
I think the visual choices for sure. From both Miles and Franziska mimicking Menfred in both design and sprite animations (with Miles doing it more as a rookie and Franziska doing it even more than Rookie Miles), to small details like Phoenix having slightly shorter hair in aa3's flashback case (which I don't think enough people notice and often draw "Feenie" with same hair length, probably because it's that length in every other design, including child design), Ema's adult outfit having references to highschool uniform even in SOJ but doesn't straight up look like a highschool uniform thank goodness, Klavier looking more like his brother at 24 than at 17, and the list can go on and on and on!
17: the thing in canon that everyone loves and that you also love
I think I've seen enough people talk about how much they love this for it to count as an answer :3. The diversity of relationships. I'm all for romantic and/or sexual ships (I am a mulishipper lol) but, I do appreciate that in canon we have so many positive and friendly relationships between siblings, co-workers and friends with no hint of needing to "take things further" because they don't need to! Even with huge age gaps, characters can and will get along as friends! Which in society is seen as strange (at least it's seemed that way to me growing up. I remember in primary school I once got in trouble for having a friend that was "too young" & was told I was weird as a teen for getting along with adults??? So strange).
An example of a fun interaction between characters imo is in case 5-3 is when Athena is talking to Phoenix early on the case (I think before the body was found, can't quite remember sorry) because he clearly see's her as both his young employee, but also as a friend, and Athena both looks up to him, and is also able to joke/jabs about him, like saying she thinks he probably looked scary in college XD
18: a fandom tag that you track
I don't follow tags, I've looked at a few tags and honestly don't enjoy using Tumblr like that. Much prefer to look at the for you and following tabs instead of going there the popular posts in a tag :P
20: your very first fandom!
So even though I've casually observed fandom spaces since I was 12 I never engaged in fandom spaces until my late teens. It's hard to pin point which was my first fandom since my early fandom experiences consisted of jointing a bunch of Facebook groups (which wasn't really fun as only one group didn't have consistent drama and infighting) but I think it's a tie between the Gorillaz fandom (as in the band, been a long time since I've listened to them lol) and The Sims fandom (which I'm still kinda apart of, Sim fans are definitely more chill on Tumblr, but I mostly stick with Sims 2 side of fandom).
thank you for sending this ask ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧ it was a lot of fun answering all the questions

Facets of YJ: Rebirth's Gemworld
It occurs to me that if I ever want to write more post-YJ Rebirth stuff (as I’ve been meaning to do for the past couple years), I need to work out for myself what Amethyst’s canon with YJ is. It isn’t consistent in-universe, but I’m kind a cool with that. I would rather have multiple interesting yet somewhat contradictory canons than a hard-set bad canon.
But for my own story, I need to be somewhat decisive. And to recall what I’m working with… I need to re-read Young Justice Rebirth.
So here are some thoughts from taking a crack at Volume 1: Gemworld.
———
I know a lot of people in my feed were complaining about this title as it was running, but tbh, I’m kinda impressed by it. There’s a lot of world-building going on and some good emotional moments too. Could there be more? Sure. But the book is fun and doesn’t detest its own audience which is more than I can say for YJ: Dark Crisis.
I’m aware it’s not a popular opinion, though. Lots of people were very aghast at a lot of creative choices.
Gemworld Tidbit #1. Kon's time in the Gemworld. I think one big thing that ticked ppl of was that Kon had acquired a “wife” and “kid” while on Gemworld, but I thought the story line was by turns hilarious (for his teammates reactions) and sweet. The actual explanation that he was just pretending to be her husband to keep her safe from Opal’s guards was cute.
(And tbh, if it turned out that there was some unexplored UST between him and Lophi, heck. I’d be down to explore it. If DC is moving away from Kon/Cassie as a ship, then why not give this a whirl?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(We see you giving Kon that sexy-intense-gaze-through-limply-hanging-bangs, Patrick Gleason. We appreciate.)
It also gives us one more member of YJ who’s now familiar with Gemworld, and from a very different perspective. Kon knows what it's like to live as a commoner in the bad part of town on Gemworld. Yet, he knows Amethyst by her reputation, and respects her for it. I like this tidbit.
Incorporate into personal fic canon? Yeah, probably.
I also love that the fricken… blend of his shirt is the thing that outs him to Carnelian.
Tumblr media
For those of us who remember Carnelian from OG Amethyst, he really is that materialistic and obsessed with the technology of Earth. This whole panel is so freaking in-character, I cackled.
Gemworld Tidbit #2: The Gemworld is divided into “lighter houses” and “darker houses.” The darker houses are officially under Dark Opal, but the Lighter houses are supposed to be free and less oppressive, though Amy’s toung-lashing fights with the council of fellow “lighter houses” implies it ain’t that cut n’ dry.
Tumblr media
I can see how it’s useful for conveying info quickly… but eh. The OG showed that while it boiled down to Opal vs. Everyone else, most houses were bullied into serving him and some were just more resistant than others.
Incorporate into personal fic canon? Probably nah.
I’m not really clear why Dark Opal sent a posse of minions to Metropolis to just… go fight Superman. Even after a re-read, I’m still hazy on that bit. Maybe Superman had a lil’ dimension hopping adventure off-panel and effed up some of Opal’s evil schemes? And Dark Opal just… collected kryponite hoping supes would show up again to receive his vengeance? But then he got impatient so he launched a FULL SCALE INVASION OF METROPOLIS? Okay. Yeah. He would. Mystery solved. Next.
Gemworld Tidbit Major Chonk of Info #3. Amy’s relationship with the Houses. So, in OG Amethyst, most the the houses genuinely WANT Amy to defeat Dark Opal. Her parents were major figureheads—and they died fighting him so bravely—but the rest of them have been beaten down into subservience. So Amy’s arrival heralds a renewed attempt at overthrowing the Big Bad, and they welcome her for it.
But in YJ Rebirth, they are so cowed by Opal’s influence, that the majority actually resent Amy for making waves.
Tumblr media
She is also NOT the default leader. Like at all. Only head of her house, and even then, the council is debating banishing her from “The Gem” aka Gemworld once she’s out of the room. And at the end… they backstab her by actually doing so. Unannounced.
Incorporate into personal fic canon? I think I gotta. I like the OG dynamic better, but this is pretty darn plot relevant. Need to at least consider it.
Gemworld Tidbit #4. Ride-or-Die Turquoise and Backstabbing Emerald.
Tumblr media
So OG Turquoise was v loyal indeed. It was a *bit* more complicated than "besties" in the 80's series, but it works as dynamic for them here.
As for Emerald... We only see ONE ruler of House Emerald here. OG had a Lady Mother and 3 princesses, all with very different narratives. The youngest sister was Amy's *actual* bestie. The next oldest was her friend. The eldest died before Amy could ever meet her, and the mom... went bonkers, died, resurrected, and became part of Amy's rogues gallery, going by the name of Fire Jade.
I'm thinking this is her. Bonus complications if Amy and her youngest daughter are *still* ultra-close friends.
Incorporate into personal fic canon? Yes.
(And tacking on so many details that aren't actually there.)
Gemworld Tidbit #5. Topaz is Dark Opal's minion.
So one of the invaders of Metropolis calls himself "Topaz" right before Tim kicks his ass.
Tumblr media
The original Topaz? A lovable and bodacious prince that was always doing his best. And his best included opposing his sister, the elder heir to Topaz keep and the *actual* supporter of Dark Opal.
Incorporate into personal fic canon? Not as-is. Maybe make him tragically mind-whammied or something. But the real Prince Topas is loyal to House Amethyst, even if he's figured out that actually dating Amy is a terrible idea.
And that brings us to...
Gemworld Tidbit #6. No mention of Age-fluctuation. Anywhere.
OG Amethyst would have Amy shift from young teen to young adult, and even have that be a major plot point a la SHAZAM.
Tumblr media
I get why it's gone. It removes a lot of writing headaches. But it does mean I would need to figure out some of her relationships from scratch.
Did she and Topaz still flirt? Did they break up for similar reasons? (I imply this is the case in Nurturing Camaraderie. That he mistook her for older/thought their age gap wasn't a big deal, and then ducked out when he realized he was wrong, very similar to what originally happened.)
Incorporate into personal fic canon? Yes. But Imma gonna overthink it to death.
Is Turquoise older than her? How much older? Is Emmy younger than her still? How much younger. What about Carnelian?
Gemworld Tidbit #7. sCiEnce NOT magic.
Tumblr media
...
Incorporate into personal fic canon? No. Fuck this whole panel.
I signed on for some magic in my magical girl fantasy, dagnabbit.
Might have more thoughts later. But for now... yeah.

20 Questions for Fic Writers
I was tagged by @pilesofpillows 😙
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
Four works so far but hoping to add more since I have a lot more fics written I've never published.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
Wow I didn't even know this was a thing! Had to look up how to find it. My total Ao3 word count is 182,483 words.
3. What fandoms do you write for?
My current works are for Black Panther but I plan to write a oneshot for MCU's Secret Invasion show because I liked Gravik and thought he was hot (I like the skrull in general lol). But I also have pretty long and large fics for Netflix's 2017 movie "Bright" that I want to upload as well. There are other fandoms too but they escape me atm.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
I only have four fics up and one of them is brand new so 😅
Winter Moon
Mount Jabari
If The Shoe Fits
Incubus
In that order. You can find a link to my fics for both tumblr and Ao3 here
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Absolutely! I love talking to the people reading my stuff and want them to know that their comments are appreciated and often keep me motivated to write more 😁Love you guys! 💕
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Hmmm, I guess that would be If The Shoe Fits. There's a planned part two that might negate this answer though.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Mount Jabari 🤣Reader was very happy at the end of that fic.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I did on Winter Moon but I don't particularly care about the opinions of someone whose intentions are to be intentionally dismissive and negative so the comments the person received in return were likely not what they had wanted 💀
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Absolutely yes. Bring me the SMUT! Right now! I will write it for you if you don't.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Nah, never did a crossover and not really a fan of them. However when I was still really young there was a gigantic, kind of OOC crossover fic with a bunch of popular anime from the 90s/2000s called Otherworld and I used to read that like it was the bible. It inspired me to do my own first fanfics. There were like 9 books to that story and multiple oneshots and short stories that tied the characters together and everything.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I am aware... and anyone who tries it....
Tumblr media
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not publicly, but I have gotten a comment that someone loves my story so much that they translate every chapter so that they could read it properly and it made me so happy 😭❤💕
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope! But I do love giving other authors ideas and vice versa. I think it helps people think outside the box when they brainstorm with friends.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
I'm going to say Attoye from Black Panther for now? I was never that big of a "shipping" person in fandoms but I definitely enjoy Attoye enough to say I ship them. I also like Nashuri and Killmora.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Nothing atm. I tend to work on stories in order of inspiration and importance. I don't publish things I'm not willing to commit time to at some point.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I'm not sure exactly. I've been told that I write very descriptively and that it can paint a vivid picture of scenarios and characters, so I'll go with that.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Fluff and filler. I don't dislike fluff completely but I tend to write it as realistically as possible because trying to imagine people being that super ooey gooey makes me wanna gag and cringe lmfao
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I do it only when necessary for the simple fact that having to provide translations for entire scenes of dialogue gets tiresome and tricky.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Inuyasha in middle school💀
20. Favorite fic you’ve written?
It doesn't have a name but like I said above, it was definitely Inuyasha and or anime related.
No pressure tagging: @karisomk, @megamindsecretlair, @mamajankyy, @mickimomo and anyone else who see this and would like to participate!

Ah, Fandoms
Pet peeves I have with the fandoms of franchises I like:
Sonic: All the ships. Every. Single. One of them. I'm okay if the ship is officially canon in some media, like SonAlly, or Tailsmo, but all the other non-canon ships drive me up the wall. (Especially Sonadow. WHO THOUGHT OF SONADOW!?)
Pokemon: Ash Ketchum actually knowing exactly what he's doing, Ash having ledgendaries, and Ash betrayed. Basically anything that makes Ash not have eager excitement he does in canon. (For a side note, I don't like how dumbed-down Sun and Moon made this, but anything further than what Ash was in Kalos is going too far.) There is a slight exception to this list, because 'Legendarily Popular' on AO3 and FF.net do a wonderful job keeping the charm and absurdity of the anime while still making Ash ridiculously overpowered.
The Legend of Zelda: Sheik and Zelda as separate characters, or making Sheik male. I know that the manga heavily implies that the latter is true, but it could also be interpreted as Sheik wakes up in the mind of a young boy. As for the Sheik and Zelda as different characters, it doesn't make much sense. Zelda is Shiek, and Sheik is Zelda. I'm not saying I haven't found a couple of interesting takes on this idea, but at the same time people seem to forget that Zelda was in her Sheik persona for seven years. That's plenty of time for a person's personality to change, especially that of a young girl.
Mega Man: X/Zero. Can I please, please, read a story with X and Zero being buddies without somebody tainting their relationship by making it romantic? I also get frustrated with Reploids getting the 'just an advanced machine' label getting slapped on. Reploids, while robotic, think and feel like a human! Also anything having to do with existential angst. Zero's the only one who canonically gets this label.
Detective Conan: I haven't really delved too deep into the DCMK fandom, but that's because I'm still investigating the canon material. I will say, again, it's the non-canon ships. So far the fandom treats their little detective pretty well, but again, I haven't looked too far into it.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Do I need to say it? Parental Roy Mustang anyone? The funny thing is that there was a fairly canon time that Edward called Mustang dad, but he meant it entirely as a joke, and later a cover story, and when the rumor got back to Mustang, his team accused him of having a secret child. I also don't like stories where the Elric brothers cave in to using a Philosopher's Stone/other people/self-sacrifice to restore what they lost. That just compromises the whole story, and every moral the two have yelled at other people all through the story.
Ecco the Dolphin: There's not much here, but what is here feels like an Erin Hunter story, but Ecco is too fantastical to be shoved into this niche. Also, Ecco is a young hero. Everyone calls him 'little singer,' so he's basically Link. If Link was a dolphin. So yeah, there's not much here, and what is there is usually angsty and doesn't really capture the magical feeling of the series.
In short, my pet peeves are non-canon ships, failure to recognize the traits that make up the character and their world, and ignorance of canon. Shippers, don't come after me. I recognize your ships, it doesn't mean I need to appreciate them. If anyone else has a pet peeve with their franchise's fandom, please leave a comment or a reblog it in the tags.
