truth be told, diana knew very little about her time as an infant. her entire life, she was passed around as a baby to whoever wanted to take care of her.

her parents were two teenagers in high school when they had her. somewhere in arizona, it was a typical story of two rowdy teens falling in love and partying together all the time until one of them got pregnant. 

everyone clearly knew that diana’s mother didn’t want her, but she couldn’t get herself to get an abortion. once she had the baby, she immediately left her behind and disappeared off the face of earth the next day. 

diana was first named bomi by her grandmother who is her father’s mother. bomi meaning beautiful treasure, also meaning spring since it’s derived from the word ‘bom’.

there was no one to take her other than her father, who also didn’t want her. he kept her with him and his mother for a few weeks before giving up and leaving her behind with his mother. he genuinely couldn’t care less, because he too disappeared. probably to follow the steps of his runaway girlfriend. 

her grandmother sadly couldn’t keep taking care of her as well, seeing as she had an abundance of children of her own. it was only before the girl’s fifth month that she handed her over to her grandmother from her mother’s side. 

that’s how bomi had ended up in texas, living with her mother’s side of the family until she was about 5 years old. it was a tough time for her, always feeling so useless and unwanted. she was always the kid who was picked on in the family and in school, and it was so bad for her mentally at such a young age. 

in comes her favorite aunt in the entire world. anyone else would call her the “weird aunt” who never got married and is probably a lesbian (diana would later find out that she indeed is a lesbian), but to bomi, she was the best person in the entire world. she radiated such a happy and free-spirited energy, and she was always the aunt who got her gifts and sweets, and made her so happy. 

her aunt, named patricia, loved the girl so much. and seeing how the family never really paid attention to bomi, she decided to officially take her in like her own child. the family was honestly happy to just hand her over to her. 

bomi eventually went by diana as her american name after moving to mapleview with her aunt and switching schools. she was named after princess diana, and diana barry from the anne of green gables books which were one of their favorite book series. ironically, the girl related a lot more to anne in the books with the whole ‘orphan girl eventually finds a loving family story’, but she liked diana’s name a lot, and her aunt said that she reminded her of her because of her starkly dark hair and insane beauty.

the two live in chestnut drive, their living place being two little cabins on the edge of the woods a little off the road, which they bought and renovated together. 

when diana was of legal age, one of the cabins was officially hers. it was like her moving out and living independently, but still being right next to her original home. she personally didn’t want to live anywhere else. 

she also went blonde after that, and has been for a long while now that if you see her, you’d think she’s a natural blonde lmao

diana has been so interested in fashion design and sewing for as long as she could remember. she thankfully had her aunt to provide for her and help her learn the things she wanted to get better at from a young age.

ever since she moved into her own cabin, she decided to start a youtube channel where she sews dresses, talks about fashion history, and documents her life and random projects that she decides to take on. sometimes even posting animal crossing speed builds. think a mix of: mina le, micarah tewers, hannahleeduggan, and gowon’s own messy ass vlogs 

while not being related by blood in any shape or form, diana would consider primrose ( @dagohoy​ ) an unrelated cousin. the reason being is that diana’s uncle, who is aunt patricia’s brother, is married to primrose’s aunt, which makes the two girls sort of a family but... not really. diana personally finds the way they’re related interesting, but ever since she met primrose when she moved to mapleview, she thought that the girl hated her.

GAAAAAAHHHHH THIS EPISODE WAS SO GOOD! I love that there was a common theme of feeling like you aren’t being heard. Daisy felt like she was too unimportant to be listened to, Louie doesn’t listen to Dewey because he feels like Dewey isn’t serious enough, and NO ONE listens to Donald because his voice is hard to understand. In the end they all get heard, with Donald and Daisy getting the bonus of finding someone who understands them. The two of them really are relationship goals. I cannot WAIT for more wholesome Donisy content. This one bumped Quack Pack down from my favorite so far.

Kiddney patch Notes, as a treat.

I know i haven't posted any of my writings in like, ages, but i was looking over my Kiddney patch notes. Basically me and @shikkearu (my bestest finnish lady in a box) were talking about Kiddney and she oh so graciously gave me these that i was talking of.

Also the first one looks bad, when he was an adult she wasn't perving on him as a kid

-Bonney tries to act like she hates him but it backfires all the time (especially when she gets drunk which is a lot.)

-Idea that we could use; Bonney might have like a binge eating disorder (or possible bulimia considering she eats a lot all at once) that we could reveal slowly

-Bonney's parents are really traditional and she feels bad that she doesn't wanna get married (kidd eventually just makes them rings and they wear them.)

-Kidd is very territorial (this is in ways like watching his friends get hurt, telling all his friends s.o. s not to hurt them or else, and getting pissy when a male breathes in Bonney's direction.)

-Kidd knows it's wrong but he can't find out how to stop. He just is really close to all of them and he can't stand the thought of any of them getting hurt

- Kidd is a manly mans man and he is proud. He makes weapons out of everything and breaking into his house would be like breaking into a military base

-Bonney is pretty tomboyish and has a hard time meshing with girls (one reason she really wants to become Perona's friend.)

My mind won't stop on kidd.

Imagine this. 16 year old Kidd. Went fishing  and brought back a bunch of fish. Gets told to throw them out. Tells them to bite his ass and goes into a secluded spot to make a fire and cooks the fish and then younger kids come out hungry and he feeds them the whole time having a "iim so damn done" Look on his face.

Kidd probably is salty at religion like; where were my damn parents and why did i get to watch all my friends leave. Why did i have to deal with the shitty adults who looked after us >:(

We get to develop hick lady. Bonney isn't religious in my eyes but she knows how to fake it

Kidd's parents probably dropped him off on the orphanage steps. Then he got neglected by the caretakers then the people he made friends with got adopted. His family are the younger kids that never got adopted as he grew up and eventually left. He still checks on em.

Kidd lives out in the boonies so he can weld in peace. He is the only welder prolly in the area (also prolly has some skill as an electrician.) So he makes good money. He might be with a company as well but idk how to set that up. 

It's sorta like Armstrong's house placement.

His house is kinda small. One bedroom one bath, stone floors. A fireplace. And basic appliances. And he only has one door for the outside so cold doesn't creep in. The rest are curtains to his rooms. He uses his fireplace and space heaters. Has a king size bed to cry alone in. And lights. His living room is pretty big. His kitchen is average. He definitely has hung up deer heads and prolly stuffed ducks he killed. He probably has a hunting dog that lives inside with him. Its a lot of gray and brown. He has a bear skin rug and he's proud of it.

He's got himself a place outside so he can smoke meats. And a furnace and anvil and all that in a building right next to his smoke house. It's all connected. A wooden porch he built. He probably has a lake in his backyard.

Like i'm thinking he bought a shitty house and a chunk of land and spent a fortune making it how he likes it. Which took a long time.

Bonney probably has a small apartment close to her restaurant. She has to spend a lot of money on rent and pay. But it's a pretty popular place. She's a good ol chef of course. Again she lived in hicktown and moved to the big city ™.

She rarely talks to her parents (i think her dad planted an image of a woman in her head and it made her bulimic.)

And even though Bonney is pretty and such she has major self confidence issues. Because her dad and her mom just let it happen. But she sees them on holidays coz her other family is there. And the only one who doesn't judge kidd hard at first glance is her aunt. Family holidays are drudges for both of them

Lets develop hick lady holidays will always be fun.

Also; Kidd has two dogs. A fully inside dog that's a small little basset hound and then his hunting dog which is a curr. He loves them both

Also they prolly stay like a week- three days on big holidays and hick lady is like "You aren't sleeping in the same room."

I think we have a solid plot to start with. And i got the lore pretty well.

The plot is basically~

Kidd and Bonney have a mutual crush on each other but both don't realize and have some perceptions that aren't true (Kidd scared of love coz of what he's been told, thinking he's too immature, Bonney thinking she is too old, not thinking she is a 'real' girl.). They are kinda aggressive to each other (especially bonney) to try and ward their emotions off. Until they eventually both just crack and are shook ™

And we got lil side things. Anger issues. Her eating disorder. His mommy and daddy issues. Her family problems ect.

Jo March is a writer and woman who felt stifled by scary expectations of marriage and loving someone! That doesn't make her a lesbian and it doesn't make it cool to shit on the guy she ended up with!

Firstly- I'm a woman, I'm straight but also either Asexual or Demisexual (jury is still out on that one) The majority of my friends are also LGBTQ (most of them at some point or another have also tried pushing a romantic/sexual relationship on me though the friendships I have now actually respect me)

I think I'm a tad sensitive to this cause practically EVERYONE when I was a teenager either insulted me and pitied me for supposedly being a 'lesbian' or 'reasured me' that I was or 'could be somewhat pretty enough' to get a girlfriend... especially because I was a 'tomboy' by not plastering myself in makeup.

Basically it was cruel vindictive and made me wary of ANY friendships for a long time and worst of all, it made me feel broken and lonely and ... A freak... I still feel like this even at 25 years old.

... just cause I wasn't falling over guys or wanting a relationship.

Apparently if you are a woman not into traditional romance or marriage or love, it must mean you are a lesbian. (Nothing wrong with that and obviously there's plenty of LGBT that do want the love/marriage thing- my best girlfriend included)

I guess it's just frustrating seeing people diminishing Jo's character as 'lesbian' just cause she doesn't fit a traditional womanly role -.-

This is a woman, who cried to her mother how women are worth more than love. But also how ... Lonely she was.

Something which basically I really relate to.

The frustrating expectations but also the lonelyness of not having that love. Or being able to express that love. I can't remember the exact quote but something else Jo said in the movie- I'd rather be loved than love

I have a lot of feelings about this amazing movie- all the sisters, Laurie, Mr Laurence, the parents ect. And it doesn't diminish ANY of them for a sexuality or relationship.

Meg fell in love and had the bitter frustrating realisation of an actual marriage to someone not rich and the hard work a relationship takes, and could put aside her dreams of *more* because she loved her husband simply because he was a good man and she was happy with the *family* they had! The movie didn't diminish Meg as a 'wife' it showed her complexities and a love for all of her family and the realities of her life

Amy went looking for a rich man because how else was a woman in that time to make her own way and she listened to her aunt because here was a woman who saw her, paid attention to her paintings and saw something 'worthy' in Amy to take her to Europe instead of any of her sisters. She found a childhood friend and decided to show her confidence, she wouldn't be second best to her sister. And she wasn't. Laurie fell in love with *her* for being herself. Her paintings, her art, her no nonsense ways.

Beth had her defining moments in a different sort of love, the type of Love and kindness for everyone, poor neighbours, a lonely old man who saw his lost daughter reflected in her. Her kindness was just... There. And when she wasn't... It was clear.

Above all Jo March, and all the characters- are more than just a sexuality or relationship, yes, relationships and love were central to the story. But they don't *define* a character, they show exactly who the character is, it brings out the best and worst of them. It's not *them*.

Please please stop degrading them like this.

BIOGRAPHY

Royalty may be a dying concept — their titles an indication of symbolism and standing as opposed to any true power, but in Europe it does continue to exist; and nowhere more intensely than in the United Kingdom. You still, of course, have your republicans and your royalists, your two sides both of whom believe completely that they are right. But the royals are indelibly a symbol of the British and their culture abroad, and such is not changed between the magic and mortal societies.

Magic has run in the British royal line for time immemorial, and yet ( to those without their own magic coursing in their veins )  it is a secret kept locked away within the walls of the palace. It is habitual for the family’s members to cover up their marks, and even — as in families of noble birth there is little concept of trust; brother has killed brother for less, and Richard III locked his nephews in the Tower of London — to hide them from each other.

The daughter of the family ( born in the same year her mother succeeded to the British throne ) was born first and yet, upon the birth of the Queens’ — yes, ‘queens’ was very much deliberate, as we love lesbian icons — first son, the first-born became the second in line.

The rules regarding the royal marriage may have been cast aside, yes, but those of succession had not been so treated; and being twelve years her brother’s elder, she was old enough to understand what had been taken from her. Old enough to confide it in her aunt, who knew the tale of the second perfectly.

How there would be an urge to find a marriage to some other noble family, this blue-blooded habit of entangling themselves with others so that they might expand their circle of influence: that’s how we ended up with the Habsburgs, many a royal advisor had pointed out reasonably ( and had been, for their troubles, ignored. )

Her aunt hadn’t necessarily had a leg to stand on when it came to her argument that she would be a better queen than her older sister, because — simply — her sister was older.

And her aunt ( the Princess Royal ) was no fool; she knew that such a person could move worlds, if only they properly knew how. Any magical politician worth their salt sought to find the Belel-gifted and their way with words, and yet in some cruel irony ( for the politicians anyway ) it proved to be a royal. One of those to whom the world of parliaments is irretrievably closed.

However, some years later, her second prediction came to pass: marriage did come inevitably along.

Marriage to a Turkish family’s ‘final rose’ — no really, that was her name — and it was the beginning of a dynamic that should’ve been exclusive, but never was. However, the marriage was popular with the people, and Lucasta’s wife proved important for her image, so she continued to ’abide with it’ as she worked upon her true mission.

'Abide with it’ here meant 'continue, while cheating.’

Sowing the seeds of doubt and mistrust in her brother, who she had always talked down to and diminished, but now talked down about and diminished to others with her aunt’s participation and encouragement. Why the boy still loved Lucasta, why her wife still loved her, she could never say, and yet it didn’t seem prudent to dismiss them. It still doesn’t. 

When finally her parents conceded and letters patent were issued to adjust, the long game played by snide words and half-smiles, Lucasta became the Princess of Wales again: the heir. The heir, who they came to love; how could they not, a future Queen so well-spoken and whose words were so… meaningful?

And so she decided to attend Polaris, since a long-term charm offensive was over. However, it meant revealing her mark, and that means her brother — who decided to attend with her — now has some knowledge of how events may just have come to pass.

So when her niece confided the same feelings to her, she resolved to make sure that Lucasta did what she didn’t: acted upon it.

I Want It All: This muse is the person Lucasta is cheating on her wife with. It’s been going on for a while — perhaps their relationship even dates to pre-the arranged marriage — but now the pressure’s on: this muse wants to marry the next Queen of England, but Lucasta is reluctant to make the move to get divorced, or to admit that even this muse isn’t the only one in her life outside of her marriage.

Exactly two years ago, I was sitting on my aunt’s couch alone. Everyone else had gone on a walk, but I didn’t go outside much. Sleeping also didn’t come so easily to me and I had been up all night thinking about something that has been bothering me for a long time. Despite being half asleep I scrolled through Twitter with one eye open and god bless the soul who retweeted one particular video onto my timeline. When I pressed play I had no idea how important this song, this music video, this person, would mean to me.

Hayley has spoken a great deal about validation in interviews and how she wishes that she realized “The only validation I need is from myself,” earlier on in her life. The message of accepting oneself in the moment instead of struggling through childhood and saving all the self love stuff for adulthood was one I desperately needed to hear, but didn’t realize it yet. But I had realized something.

On June 24th, 2015 I most definitely knew that I was a lesbian, but I most definitely did not feel validated. I had questioned my sexuality for as long as I could remember. I questioned myself as a young child when I felt different from my friends for a reason I couldn’t quite pinpoint. I questioned myself when people asked me why I didn’t have a boyfriend yet and- in a disgusted tone- if that made me a lesbian. I questioned myself when I learned about how being gay was a sin everyday in religion class. I questioned myself the first time I kissed a girl and she told me I wasn’t supposed to kiss back- it was only experimentation so I knew the rules when the time to kiss a boy came. I questioned everything every time I heard a friend or a family member talk about us, in that repulsed and all-knowing tone. From the ages eleven to fourteen all I really thought about was the possibility of me being gay and whether or not I deserved to live if I was.

Two years ago, I was 14 years old and I knew. I knew. I hadn’t fully accepted it yet but I knew. Years of internalized homophobia still needed to be dealt with and I still struggle with it today. None of that mattered when I hit play on that music video. I entered a new world. A world where people like me existed. A world where we didn’t exist entirely for the male gaze. A world where we weren’t used to gain a diverse audience then killed off for shock value. A world where we simply existed for ourselves.

There’s nothing that will ever beat hearing “I’m real and I don’t feel like boys” as a young closeted and terrified lesbian. There’s nothing hearing the loud “Girls like girls like boys do” followed by the casual “nothing new”. People like us are real and we always have been and we are never going away. In an interview- that I can’t find at the moment- I remember Hayley saying that Trenton represents everything that initially held Coley and Sonya (who represent every lgbt couple) back from falling in love. Whether that be friends, family, homophobia around them, or shame within themselves. After Coley fucking punches Trenton in the face and kisses Sonya like she’s wanted to for so long, I wanted to punch all my shame and self hatred in the face and let go of my internalized homophobia forever (and, of course, kiss a pretty girl). For a second I wanted to come out to everyone I met and ask out pretty girls and go to pride marches and not care what anyone thought. Things wouldn’t come that easily and I still struggle everyday with shame, fear, and anxiety because of my sexuality- that’s not just going to go away. But I sure do love myself more than I did. I have come out to a few people and I will tell everyone I need to with time. The best news is that I have asked out (and kissed) a pretty girl and she is now my wonderful girlfriend who makes me feel more proud to be myself than anyone else ever has. I really wish I could punch boys who I’ve never met in the face that shout “dyke” at me in the hallway and approach me after class and ask “So how does it work?”. As well as girls who call me a lesbo deliberately right behind my back so I will hear it. I wish I could punch everyone in the face who doesn’t think my relationship is valid, everyone who we have to hide it around. Everyone who believes people like us don’t deserve to exist freely, everyone who actively fights against our right to be free. Unfortunately, I’m way too much of a coward to do that. However, I am brave enough to know that I am worth so much more than a straight person’s “opinion” of me, every single one of us are. And I think that’s pretty brave.

I am growing everyday and I truly believe that the day my seed was planted was 2 years ago when I finally saw myself as I truly was. A person. Girls who like girls are people and we are valid and we belong to ourselves. And I’m so incredibly grateful that Hayley Kiyoko realized that the only person she needs validation from is herself so she could pass this message down to me and to 70,424,356 viewers on Youtube and to so many others around the world. This will never just be a day for me, because the day I saw Stefanie Scott- with face full of cuts and bruises- ride down the street on her bicycle on her way to steal some guy’s girl, I would feel valid and real for the first time in my life. Representation can change lives when it’s done right, I sure as hell know it changed mine.

We live in an evil and disgusting world, but people like Hayley grant us with hope. Hayley, thank you for making art, and thank you for having the courage to share it with the world.
