I finally caved and made a gemsona. There's Pearl but there's no Amber... she's one of White Diamond's gems made from a planet with a lot of organic life. She's a little organic herself... not much to matter but it does give her a less gemlike appearance. And also being corrupted and then healed doesn't help with that. Ambers are gem squadron leaders, surveying the land (Or battlefield) and giving out the proper orders. They have the power of flight which helps with that. They are less resistant to change unlike other gems, which helps with ever changing field status. They required too much organic life to make and soon other flying gems and more coordinated soldiers made them obsolete, so they were phased out. Amber's weapon is a chainsaw

ON THE SLASH J. OKAY.)#but honestly though i did expect Gem to hold a grudge over the 2v1 in SL. and. its good that there are consequences???#it IS a ‘betrayal’ in Gem’s eyes. they were friends. they were murder besties for the last two sessions and then Pearl chose Scar over her#and its awesome man. [through gritted teeth] this is awesome man this will be good for character development ok ok ok. ok?#its also got something to do with Pearl having the red creep in. i think#because during SL Gem was like. nearly idolising the Scarlet Pearl persona while vaguely aware that her own reputation has a similar effect#and yknow. the horrors. the fact that their image is so heavily built on what others deem them to be and they can only play into it#but by the end of SL Gem gets ‘betrayed’ by this persona that she looked up to#and also her own ‘GeminiSlay’ intimidating image is also starting to fall apart. partly of her own will#and now shes watching Pearl slowly turn red again. and this time she knows its not good for her or Pearl#so shes distancing herself from it. shes ‘trying to fix her reputation’. she sees Pearl falling into it again and just. no. i dont love you#you betrayed me last season#but on Pearl’s end of things she’s already deep into the idea that as long as you say you ‘forgive’ someone then everything thats happened#in the past doesn’t matter and they can all be friends. and nooo absolutely no grudges will be held. no emotional repression here#so. because thats happened to her in her own team she thinks the same can happen with her and Gem#and thats so. im going to blow myself up now

i'm having hyperfixation drought so i did what i did best and created a crossover episode

#isat spoilers#isat act 6 spoilers#isat act 6 secret encounter spoilers#isaloop#in my mind this is isaloop even if u cannot see isa he is there metaphorically off screen u see#seperated from prev cuz it did not distinctly fit the sentimental vibes this is infinitely sillier to me ASFASDA#well that and i kept messing with the way i was coloring it lmao#...okay maybe i will elaborate a bit more in tags ASFASFAS#the thought process was to divvy up the most identifiable wearable items from each party member onto siffrin and loop#these items needed to be reasonably removable ofc#they were also not going to be related to their customs (no bonding earrings for example)#the original plan was to give siffrin miras shawl bonnies hat isas belt and odiles glasses#then i was like ehhhh actually idk if the dangling gem bit is like a custom thing or not since it could be???#so i switched up to odiles coat and miras gloves and rest remained#realized midway thru YOU WOULDNT BE ABLE TO SEE MIRAS GLOVES THAT WELL???#so i gave siffrin the rope belt from mira instead#as for loop the plan was always to give them miras bow and bonnies bracelet#i revisited just the glasses part for odile briefly then thought a lil more and went#i do not think odile would chuck her glasses#hence the book since i dont think i couldve reasonably removed anything else from her#the pants#the pants.#in terms of identifiability to me the striped pants are fun and striking#hence the immediate next thought in the original notes ASFASDAS#however i do not think isa would just??? chuck his pants like that???? esp in context with the rest of the party?????#but in my minds eye this was a little bit funny so yea ASDASDSA#OKAY. tag talk over it is nap time ASFAS

Splatoon OCs!! (Plus Rosie and Bowser cause I am cringe but I am free bdbcjsvbdbc)
I only have Neo 3 and 8 as OCs cause I specifically made them to wear the Teddy Band and Golden Toothpick respectively. My Inklingsona wears the Skull Bandanna (plus it’s my favorite in-game headgear so I never change it), but since I worked so hard for the Teddy Band and Golden Toothpick I felt like I needed someone to wear them for me hdncjsdnc
So yeah, that’s their sole purpose for existing and the reason I don’t have an Agent 4, yknow since they never got a super hard to get item from Splat 2 hero mode. I don’t have an og Agent 3 cause I never played Splat 1 so og 3 feels like an already established character to me, rather than one I can make into an OC, if that makes sense?

Extra: The jewel squid is a member of the cockeyed squids, a group of squids so named because the left eye grows to be about twice the size of the right eye. I wanted to show that in Gem’s design by making the left side of her mask bigger than the right side.

Extra: The deep sea octopus has many warty things on its body, which is why Nelly’s tentacles are so bumpy looking. Also, her eyes are very round compared to the usual Octoling eyes because the deep sea octopus is described as googly-eyed.

Also, for fun, my signature color is Soda from Splat 2 hero mode! I’ve always just called it seafoam green, but when I realized the colors in the games actually had names, I finally got to pick which one I actually meant!
