Splatoon OCs!! (Plus Rosie and Bowser cause I am cringe but I am free bdbcjsvbdbc)

I only have Neo 3 and 8 as OCs cause I specifically made them to wear the Teddy Band and Golden Toothpick respectively. My Inklingsona wears the Skull Bandanna (plus it’s my favorite in-game headgear so I never change it), but since I worked so hard for the Teddy Band and Golden Toothpick I felt like I needed someone to wear them for me hdncjsdnc

So yeah, that’s their sole purpose for existing and the reason I don’t have an Agent 4, yknow since they never got a super hard to get item from Splat 2 hero mode. I don’t have an og Agent 3 cause I never played Splat 1 so og 3 feels like an already established character to me, rather than one I can make into an OC, if that makes sense?

Extra: The jewel squid is a member of the cockeyed squids, a group of squids so named because the left eye grows to be about twice the size of the right eye. I wanted to show that in Gem’s design by making the left side of her mask bigger than the right side.

My hopes for Paper Mario: The Origami King

Hello! Big fan of paper mario here just to ramble about my thoughts the announced Origami king. The game is said to release on July 17 2020.

First things first I wanna say that i’m cautious about the game and i’m going to try to not have a biased opinion on it. The game’s trailer did actually catch my eye which was something that the previous games did not do for me as much. That at the very least says something about the game or how nintendo’s trailer making skills. 

First things first I wanna say the game looks absolutely gorgeous. Sticker Star (which I loathe) and Color splash had a similar charm to it as well. The worlds were aesthetically pleasing to look at, whether or not they were memorable. My favorite from the ‘closer look’ trailer that released today was the desert oasis. It reminded me of the Sand Kingdom and Metro Kingdom of Mario Odyssey but fused together (also it was a little complimentary with how most of the buildings were yellow and the ground was shades of purple). I hope for the name game to have unique and memorable worlds. In Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64 I can name off a description of a good chunk of the lands. I remember the starry mountains that connect us to the Star npcs, I remember the boo mansion where we were tricked and teased, I remember toad town for all the little side things (such as the post office, the dojo, the bar). In thousand year door I can tell you about the cursed town that turn the inhabitants into PIGS, a small koopa town in the same area of a GIANT tower guarded by a evil dragon, a city in the sky that contains a big ass wrestling event. In Super Paper Mario I can remember the Underwear where you go where your game is over and the heaven like counterpart to it, Flipside and all the side stuff you can do and how it actively works with Mario’s main ability of flipping into other worlds, the area in literal space with a cute but spoiled little green squid. These games had memorable worlds to them with memorable characters! They look unique and all have a level of charm to them! 

We also see companions sorta! Most the reception i’ve seen based on these characters tended to be that of ‘they just look like the regular enemies?’. I can sorta get this point and lightly agree with it (though i’m not as upset about it?), the idea of the paper mario side kicks was that they all had somewhat unique designs that made them stand out from their team mates. While I do wish characters like the bob-omb (Bobby) had more of a design to him, my hope is that the character will be characteristically memorable. The idea that I think Sticker Star lacked the Color Splash was kinda getting there with was charm. Every npc you talked to, every team member you were with, etc etc all of them had something memorable to them. Sometimes it’s on a physical level, I personally think Thousand Year Door nailed it with a physical level of charm. Look at all the unique types of toad we have in that game.

Look at the top section of toads here, all of them have a unique design to them that all TELL you just something about them. Even if you haven’t interacted with them in the slightest. I put the Color splash one here because I think, like with everything about that game almost, it was a step in the right direction. Sticker star pertained most the game generic ass toad where Color splash- while I think they could’ve done more (I agree with the top post by DaDudebro2401 saying “ If more of them had clothes, or things to differentiate them, I feel like the toads in this game would be a lot better. Like Professor Toad for instance... He was just a normal toad. What if he had a lab coat or something simple like that? That would add something to make him special. Or What if the pirate toad had a black vest, and the captain pirate toad had a fancy pirate suit?”) in the design department. 

But the big part of paper mario is meant to be the charm about it. Even if the game is very stylistically different, it has to have a world and characters that were charming enough to remember. Look at one of the more controversial games in the paper mario universe at first, Super Paper Mario for the Wii. Even if you only meet the Pixls once you sure as hell remember the weird stuff they said before becoming a part of your team (my favorites being characters like Boomer, Fleep, and Cudge). Yet you really only have one kind of interaction with those characters. They had something silly that gave you a reason to remember them to some degree. You remember the one Koopa from Thousand Year door because of his fascination with Princess Peach yet there’s only really two scenes that involve that character (one of those just being a joke to make Bowser look like a fool). With Sticker Star I found myself only remembering the side-kick character and the fact I didn’t like her at all. With Color Splash there was more to it. I remember a scene in a train with Mario and all the Toads would take turns just berating you and inserting their problems on to you and you could LEGIT DIE FROM THAT. That’s such a hilarious scene and you remember those toads despite all of them having the same design.(Especially the one toad who said his wife left him like WHAT) Having big designs to a game is important, but the big thing is that the characters are memorable and fun. Which i’m very much hoping for with these team members despite them just looking like regular enemies. 

Another thing that i’m hoping for is that the gaming style that they present to us in the previously mentioned video is that it’s fun. I’m admittedly anxious about how the bosses will play out and how fun that will be, but I DO find the matching mechanic new but simple (That’s not a bad thing). It helps mario in battle and it’s just a neat little mechanic. The problem in certain things sound better on paper (unintentional joke). I hate Sticker Star but the idea of collecting your arsenal or special moves being based on actual 3d objects I don’t think is particularly a bad one. In my opinion it was just poorly handled and deserved to be styled different. Maybe even be in a separate series with its own mechanics and world. The way everything became JUST about the stickers though was tiring! I would’ve saved it for some sort of way to enhance your moves or something (I’m not a game designer though or much of a critic, just a gal who likes paper mario). Sticker Star’s battle system made you want to AVOID battles as much as possible, because they were tedious and just wasted stickers you couldn’t get back potentially. Color splash was decent enough but still didn’t have a fun enough mechanic to stick to most people. It doesn’t always need to be a turn styled RPG (As we’ve seen with SUPER PAPER MARIO. That game played as a Action RPG mixed with a platformer esc world. While that game isn’t perfect in what it did, it wasn’t a chore to play and at times could be really fun.). but it does need to be fun/

I’m curious to see how the side stuff will work out too like toads and minigames. I think the toads could be a interesting concept and the fact they can help it battle works as a motivation to collect them.

Ludwig Von Koopa Chapter 3(Fanfiction)

“Good evening, Lord Ludwig welcome back, I see you brought the beautiful lady. We already have your order ready my lordship. But what would you like to drink and have for dinner madam?” “Well, I’ll have the same type of drink his having. But what types of steaks do you have that are good?” “Well, ma’am, we do have the Koopa filet mignon is our top seller. That’s the only type of steak I’ll truly recommend.” “I’ll take that sir medium cook, thank you.” I replied while giving him back the menu. He let us know that our wines and dishes came sooner then we could blink. “Ludwig, there are no words how beautiful this place is, I’m so glad you brought me here. Never thought in a million years that this could happen to me.” “Oh, there’s more to come to my love after this I have a surprise for you to come when we get back home.” One of the Koopa waiters came with our bottle of red wine and pours some for us. “Here you go my lady and lordship, and if you need anything else please let us know.” We nodded our heads yes, once he left, we went back to what we were saying. “I want to say to you was that I always wanted to meet you for a couple of years, but never thought it was ever going to come true.” “Maybe It’s your lucky day my beautiful Jennifer, and I truly want to make you the happiest woman ever.” Start blushing, then our waiter came back with our dishes. “Here’s your Koopa Filet Mignon ma’am, and here’s your special Lord Ludwig enjoy. Was there anything else you two need?” We both told him that we didn’t need anything else. I couldn’t believe how delicious the steak was nothing that I ever had before, almost tasted like I was in heaven. “How do you like your Koopa Filet Mignon, my dear princess?” “I don’t how to explain how delicious this dish is, the chef did an outstanding job.” “I knew that you’ll love their dishes, and if you like we can get dessert, but at my place.” “Well, it depends on what type of dessert you’re referring to Mr. Ludwig.” “I can’t tell you that, because that’ll ruin the surprise.” The waiter came back asking us if anything was to par, we both told it sure was and wanted the check. “Oh, don’t worry about paying the bill the manager says it’s on the house for tonight. Also, we’re going to give you some free dessert if you like, but if you don’t always come back for some on the house.” “Well thank you, maybe next time I and my lovely lady come back to visit.” When we got into the limo, Ludwig pulls out a boat ship locator device that I guess his brother Iggy had made. (Bing rolls down the back window). “How can I help you, Lord Ludwig?” “Yes, just drop us off near Starkoopa coffee shop, if you don’t mind. I’ll tip you extra.” The driver nods and told him he could sure do so. “I hope you enjoy yourself, my little princess. You know I enjoyed my time with you.” “I sure did my Ludwig, can’t wait to do this again. Don’t know how to put this, my dear, guess just never had a real gentleman that treated this well in my life.” “You don’t have to worry about me treating you bad my love because I’ll treat you like a true queen/princess should be treated. And I would never leave your side, my dear love, no matter what or how bad things get.” When he said all this, I started to blush extremely bad, but in a good though, then the limo had made a stop letting us out. Telling us to have a great night, Ludwig gave him a good tip and thanked him as well. “So, where’s the airship, my dear Ludwig?” “Right above us my dear princess, you better hold on if you would like to come back with me into my room. Once we entered his room, and nobody noticed a thing, plus it was still peaceful and quiet. We changed into something more comfortable. If you like my beautiful princess, you can spend the night just have to hide your scent. Because I love you so much don’t want to leave you for one minute.” Kisses my hand again as he said this. “Just let me contact my family that I’m going to a “friends” house to stay the week. But I need a device that I could use to contact people from my universe. Could you make that happen, my dear dark prince?” “I sure can my princess, I’ll do anything for you dear.” Takes out his wand magically makes a universal phone appear, so I told my family and friends that I’ll be staying over with a friend for a couple of days. Good thing that this phone uses my number, so nobody expects a thing. “So, what you would like to do now my dear Ludwig?” Rubbing my hands against his cheeks. “Oh, my dear, anything you wish. Remember your wish is my command, my sweet beautiful princess. Kisses me so deeply. But in my opinion, I just want you to be closer to me, and don’t want to let you go.” “I don’t know why it feels like I knew you all my life, even though I just met you today. All I want to do is be with you my dear Ludwig, I don’t care what people would say about our love. And if they cross that line, we may have to take care of them, my dear love.” “Oh, I love the way you think, my dark and edgy princess. I hope you don’t mind my dark deadly way, showing no pity, and killing them in cold blood. Hopefully, you’re not bothered by that my dear love, I’ll stop if you are, don’t want to upset you in any way.” “I don’t mind if you do Ludwig, even if it was your brother Bowser Junior, not just that I think it’ll so attractive if I saw you start killing other beings. Not just that I’ll help bring in more victims, pretending that I’m dating them, acting like everything is so damn great. While you come to act like you and your Koopa troops kidnap us and putting us in a “jail cell”. Making the man/woman think that we’re in danger, give him a couple of days or weeks then you strike. Plus, I would like to watch you kill them slowly and painfully way, because I would like to hear them moan and scream for bloody murder. Then make out with you while we’re both covered in blood, my dear love.” Explaining while giving him the deepest kiss that I could ever give a guy. “I think I found the perfect woman to spend the rest of my life, never met a woman that also had a dark evil mind. To me, that’s a rare find for me, way too many women that claim to be evil but like those ratchet Mario Brothers. But I don’t want to keep you up all night my dear love, I know that you would like to get your beauty rest don’t want my princess to get real too cranky in the morning. Goodnight my princess, when you wake up, I’ll make you breakfast with either tea or coffee.” He turns off the lights, while getting into bed, didn’t know that he had this beautiful light blue-greenish type of glow, and I have to say it was the most beautiful thing that I ever saw in my life. As he laid down next me holding me into his arms, kisses me so deeply. Telling me that he’ll always love me and never would lose me to anyone, then we just fell asleep into each other’s arms. (20 mins then an explosion). “Oh my god, Ludwig! What the hell is going on my dear love?” Asking while grabbing on to him so tightly. “To be honest I truly don’t know what the bloody hell is going on, hopefully, we’re not being under attack by the Bean Beam kingdom or the Mushroom Kingdom. I’ll put a protective bubble around you and make you invisible to the naked eye, just don’t say a word till you see me. I’ll tell you the secret word, so you’ll know it’s the real me. The secret word would be “My deadly princess”. I agreed, after sealing me trying my best to keep my mouth shut. I overheard one of the koopalings yelling at one of the Koopa Trooper, could barely hear what they were talking about. I think it was either Iggy, Roy, or both. “Why are you morons just standing around? Attack now you scum!” “Roy, you know you could’ve done that a lot better than what you just did.” “Iggy the only way these idiots will listen, you have to be more aggrieved with them. And not sugar coat the issue bro, try to be more like Ludwig.” Roy replied with a laid back but pushy attitude. Then I extra footprints towards Ludwig’s room, but more so like running really. “Roy and Iggy, you guys have to come quick, something is wrong with our father Bowser.” One of the Koopalings was trying to explain but he/she was out of breath. “Larry, take a deep breath, and try to explain what’s the matter with Bowser.” “We can figure out what’s the matter when we get there Iggy.” Both agreed and I’m guess followed Larry Koopa, at this time it felt like it was taking a very long time, even though it was only 30 minutes. Just hoping that nobody finds out that Ludwig was hiding me in here, and couldn’t wait for him to come back, I was so damn scared the whole tire time. Now getting worried that he wouldn’t come back because of some injury or even worse, had to tell me that everything was going to be okay also not to worry about him. I should know that he’s kind of like Bowser but more sophisticated, dark, and edgier. Too bad I couldn’t help them, but at the same time didn’t want to get both of us to get in trouble. Hopefully, if I sneak out, I just must make sure not to come across Roy, Morton, or Iggy. The reason why I mention Iggy, because he may have some type of device that could sense my body, and you already know why I said Morton and Roy. Once I was walking down the hallway, making sure nobody was near me, trying to keep myself balance from the bob bombs and/or those bullets. The things I do for love right just must take a note for myself to never do this crap ever again. (A bombing noise straight ahead) What in the bloody hell was that? “King Bowser is down! I repeat King Bowser is down!” Kamek shouted from the intercom. I thought to myself what kind of war they are fighting, but if I would’ve guessed it’s either with the Mario Bros or Princess Toadstool/Peach. Either way, it was none of my business, I just wanted to make sure Ludwig was ok that was all I cared about, then I heard Ludwig on my walkie talkie. “Baby, are you okay my dear princess? If so, please stay in the room I’m almost there to be next to you and give you the special knock. We finally got a hold of the enemy, so you don’t have to worry about them, my dear.” “Yes, I’m okay my dear prince, and I’ll still be in the room once you enter. I have been worried about you and glad that you’re not harmed in any way.” Powerwalked back into his room making sure he couldn’t catch on, even though it wasn’t for certain that was him something doesn’t seem all that right. Good thing I went back to the room I heard Iggy again, just hope he didn’t hear me come back into Ludwig's room. I just want to make sure he thinks it was just the type of “air” that just blew the door closed. “That’s strange, maybe it was one of the vents blew it shut. Better get back to Kamek before it’s too late.”
