hey could I possibly get a scenario of reader who is not Gojo’s s/o yet. Taking a nap in his presence. They don’t plan it. They were talking with him for a bit. They just felt tired suddenly and fell asleep on the couch in the teacher’s lounge room next to Gojo in the middle of their conversation. He’s the only one in the room?

[Name] chuckles in exasperation from their place beside the strongest sorcerer, arms loosely crossed over their chest.

“Wha– Oh c'mon, it builds character. It's not like Megumi won't get harder missions when he goes up a grade. Plus, it's a bonding thing too; he's getting to know more about me by experiencing what I do for work!”

The snow-white-haired man smoothly excuses himself, glancing at the person beside him.

[Name] rolled their eyes and attempted to playfully shove Gojo aside, only to have their hand stop just an inch from the man's clothed shoulder. They huffed, giving the man an annoyed expression as he chuckled at their futile action and rested his arm behind them on the sofa's backrest.

“You and that damn infinity– quit smiling like that, you weirdo.”  

The first-grade sorcerer jokingly complained, rubbing their now sore wrist with their free hand as they lazily laid their head on the infinity that shielded Satoru’s shoulder.

Blindfolded blue eyes glance down at the top of [Name]’s head; his long arm moving from its place on the sofa's backrest to draping around their shoulder where slender fingers annoyingly pinched at their cheeks.

“Ya tired? Stay up all night doing boring paperwork again~? That's why I just make Ijichi do mine.~”  

The white-haired man blabbered as his hand continued to busy itself with poking at the other's face.

The shorter only hums quietly at first, swatting at his bothersome and intrusive appendage, before quietly muttering:

“...You always bully that poor man… you make me feel bad for ‘em.”  

Gojo lets out a quiet but amused chuckle, beginning to play with and tug at the ends of a few thin locks of [Name]’s hair. The first-grade sorcerer grunts in annoyance and swats at his hands again, shrugging their shoulders up to their ears to hide them from their fellow teacher’s nimble hands. The blindfolded man then ‘‘relents’’ and only rests his hand on their shoulder.

“I don't understand why you feel bad for that guy; he works for those damn geezers.”  

He complains, tossing his head back childishly and digging in his ear with his pinky while tracing the lines in the textured ceiling with his gaze.

A few moments of silence –with the addition of soft rhythmic breathing– pass after his words before he lifts his head and casts his gaze to the left. The sight of a close-eyed [Name] greets him; their body and expression fully relaxed, allowing him to tell that they had fallen asleep easily. After a few seconds of admiring their sleeping face, Satoru deactivates his infinity, allowing the first-grade sorcerer's soft and warm cheek to rest on the fabric of his uniform jacket. 

A soft sigh escapes his nostrils as his hand resumes playing with their messy locks of hair.

“You know you could ask Yaga to switch classes with you if those third years are giving you this much trouble… Man, you're even more hard-headed than Suguru was…”  

The white-haired man mutters quietly, his own eyes closing as he rests his head on top of his friend's.

"So, are you going to explain?" you placed both of your hands on your hips, staring at him with a glare that told him he wasn't going home scot free. "I talked to Kimi," he mumbled sheepishly. "I know that this isn't an explaination, but I want you to understand that I never meant to disrespect you in that way." he explained.

"Kimi told me what Christian said about you, and it wasn't funny. I shouldn't have laughed, I'm sorry." he apologized, taking another step closer to wrap you in an embrace - but you step away. All your life, you've been told that a woman didn't have room in Formula One - and to hear your best friend laugh at those jokes? It was worse than losing your career.

"Am I supposed to believe you?" you frowned, unable to comprehend that he was telling the truth. "You don't have to - but I'm sorry." he breathed with sincerity in his tone. You wanted to believe him, but you needed more convincing.

The inevitable Ralph Lore Masterpost

Here it comes. After my second re-read and a week of talking about this fictional cringefail tragic girl dad to anyone who would listen, here it finally is, because I felt a need to write all of this down for future reference and also because I am very close to exploding at any given second of the day.

Also: do keep in mind some of this is my personal speculation/theories/ramblings and probably not canon, but I did try to stick to just the book as much as possible. This is not a coherent essay. Really, it’s a word vomit because I can’t stop thinking about the funny Phone Man. I still probably missed some things, feel free to chime in in the replies, might make a Part 2 unpacking some of the lore/non-Ralph related bits in the future who knows.

Anyways, in no particular order (AND OBVIOUSLY; SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT):

Pre-Freddy’s Era Details I Couldn’t Fit Anywhere Else (Or: Upbringing, College and some Coppelia’s Mom Speculation)

There’s not much info about Ralph’s childhood from what I could gather, except two things: he was bullied in school to the point where he had to hide in a locked bathroom stall to get away from his classmates, and his father was a major a-hole who had extremely high expectations for him and also used to scare him out of wanting to play hide-and-seek with him which. Goddamn. The quote “all your life you’ve gotten used to not pushing buttons” really, really doesn’t help the horrible parents allegations. So yeah the man has daddy issues, jot that down.

Expanding on the previous point: a lot of his parenting of Coppelia seems to be directly influenced by his own upbringing. The paragraph-long tangent about how he’s purposefully awful at hide-and-seek because he never wants Pel to feel as scared as he did is an obvious example, but he also brings her gifts from work pretty much constantly (and sidenote: he thinks of taking things from his job that he never breaks the rules at to bring to her all the goddamn time, while being actively hunted by murderous animatronics. That’s so goddamn wholesome I’m sorry even when he’s scared out of his mind he’s constantly thinking of her). He never puts her down the way it’s implied he was put down as a child, he seems really supportive of her hobbies by the way he talks about her reading. I have more to say about his parenting skills, but the fact that he’s terrified of becoming like his own father/parents seems to be a giant part of them.

He’s a college dropout who majored in psychology, aiming to specialize in child psychology, which makes so much sense but also I find incredibly ironic considering he later exhibits very VERY obvious signs of what’s probably PTSD and doesn’t clock it at all. But that is also going to be its separate point, put a pin in that.

It’s not just implied, but pretty explicitly stated by Ralph himself that he’s a massive overachiever. He was probably pretty academically successful in college, considering he mentions it was a surprise to most people that he’d drop out to get into security work. It’s pretty strongly implied this was mostly because he was pressured into succeeding by his parents. My man has that helicopter parents burnout syndrome, and escaped it by going into a job where he could still interact with kids like he wanted to as a psychologist but actually be happy, and that means a lot to me actually.

(Very important sidenote, because I don’t know where else to put this: the fact that his real dream job is to make children’s toys is just so real to me, especially as someone who’s also experienced academic burnout. It makes so much sense for him to want to do something with his hands where he can create something tangible after being pushed into being traditionally ‘successful’ in academia by his environment. Also put a pin in this as well because I have another point to make about the whole toymaker thing)

He seems to be at least low-contact with his family, which is understandable from what we know about his father - I’d say it’s likely he even cut contact completely after dropping out of college. The fact that he never mentions his parents as a possibility when he talks about babysitting options, or the fact that he doesn’t even consider them taking care of Coppelia when he is literally about to die seems pretty telling to me. I mean, alternatively, they could both be dead, depending on how old Ralph is, but since Coppelia’s only eleven that seems a bit unlikely.

Coppelia’s mom is a mystery. There is exactly one mention of her in this entire book and it doesn’t come from Ralph, but from Pel, so we know she does in fact exist but that’s about it. When Ralph talks about parenting Coppelia he never mentions her mom, even as far back as when Coppelia was one year old. They probably divorced when Coppelia was really young, and Ralph likely has full custody, since he never mentions Coppelia going to her mother’s for the weekend or anything like that. And that’s all we know.

Freddy’s and Related Tidbits (Or: I Stuffed Everything Related to his Relationship to Fazbear Entertainment in this Section)

He’s worked at Freddy’s for at least eleven years, because he mentions Coppelia being a month old when he already had the job and recorded his first training tape. If FNAF 1 indeed takes place in 1993, that means he was already working at Freddy’s by 1982 and likely earlier. Which, side-tangent, would imply that either Fredbear’s Family Diner was removed enough from Fazbear Entertainment by then for him not to know anything beyond the vague existence about the bite of ‘83, or that FNAF 1 takes place after 1993. But at this point the timeline is confusing enough that who knows.

He’s never moved up to management despite being there for more than a decade, also doesn’t appear to know Henry or William (especially if you believe the whole Dave-is-probably-William theory).

He was employee of the month 22 times. He also likely competed against his murderer ex-boss in disguise for the longest employee of the month award streak which is the best goddamn thing I’ve ever heard.

He’s written some of the rules at Freddy’s. Because of course he has.

He leaves passive-agressive notes to the dayshift guard and also thinks about shoving a ballpoint pen in the cleaning staff’s faces. And also talks about reporting people for slacking off. What I’m trying to say that he’s probably not the most popular of people with the rest of the staff, and doesn’t appear to realize why that could possibly be. Worst enemy of folks who don’t want to take their shitty minimum wage job extremely seriously.

On a related note, he takes his job so seriously oh my god. He does like twenty other jobs each night while the animatronics are trying to kill him. He’s probably the only person still doing reports. Management is very much implied to never read them. He writes them anyway. The fact that he was genuinely called ‘the Phone Guy’ and also was in training videos is also amazing (and also pushes the Trans Phone Guy agenda for anyone who considers Kim from the FNAF movie to be a stand-in for him).

This is specifically night-shift related: While it’s true that his survival instincts are absolutely shot, he is, when pushed, demonstrated to be capable of extreme violence against animatronics, which actually good for him. He kicks Bonnie’s head off. He beats Chica to death with a mop. He shoots Foxy with a watergun and also throws a lightbulb at him. This is not particularly important to anything but it’s extremely important to me.

Anyways, he’s really, really loyal to this company. Like, too loyal. Like, he was very much responsible and instrumental in shutting down rumors and speculation among staff after the bite of ‘87 and likely after the MCI as well too loyal. He’s management’s mouthpiece for their dirty work and that makes me feel a certain way because it’s so obvious he cares a lot about this shitty kids’ restaurant, enough that he’d defend it at all cost even when there’s so much evidence against it. This will come up again when I talk about him gaslighting himself.

This is mostly me speculating on the previous point, but I’m pretty certain a lot of his defending of the company is also a coping mechanism that he uses to grapple with the trauma brought to him by the fact that he’s spent a huge chunk of his life working for a conglomerate that’s gotten people killed. He genuinely insinuates Jeremy was responsible for getting chomped, because he must’ve done something wrong, the animatronics would never attack anyone without reason (right?). When he talks about how the media blew children going missing out of proportion, it seems less like he believes it and more like he doesn’t want to believe it - especially considering he’s only brought Coppelia to Freddy’s once in her life. He never lets her near it. He shuts her down immediately when she talks about working at it. Which, at least to me, demonstrates that on a subconscious level, he knows what he’s saying isn’t true. It’s just easier to say it than face the facts.

And lastly, he’s so clearly and passionately loyal to the Fazbear’s franchize. This fucker genuinely loves working here and is sad to go, even though management treats him like shit. We already knew that, but still, dear god those people could not care less if he lived or died and he STILL takes his night guard duties so goddamn seriously. He’s so clearly really invested in it, he talks about what a magical place Freddy’s used to be for kids, he talks about how much the job means to him, all the while it’s actively trying to kill him, he defends it to the point that it’s actively ridiculous, and in multiple endings he still gets blackmailed, disappeared or worse by the people he’s defending. And- I don’t know. It just makes me really sad. Again, I do believe his over-the-top enthusiasm for his job is probably him compensating for the fact that he doesn’t want to face the incredibly traumatic stuff happening to him, especially because as the week goes on, he gets less and less enthusiastic with every night, and just- Yeah. Fazbear Entertainment doesn’t deserve him.

Characterization, Diction and Things Like That (Or: Everything Else)

Let’s get the more positive stuff in this section out of the way first: we already knew this from the phone calls, but the way this man talks just sends me. “Time to make the donuts” when walking into a shift my favorite of his Phone-Guy-isms, but also unironically saying “oh boy!” and “what rotten luck!” right when you’re about to die is equally important to me.

Kind of related but not really: this man truly is a dad through and through because MY GOD the amount of bad puns and/or stupid references he makes is criminal. The fact that they get him actually killed in some of the endings because he keeps laughing at his own terrible jokes is also great. My favorite examples include thinking “my, what large ears you have” immediately before Foxy mauls him, the Irony Curtain, the how many night watchmen does it take to change a lightbulb, and so on. The fact that he also finds all of this absolutely hilarious means so much to me. Ralph truly is a cringefail girl dad, RIP to him he would’ve loved those awful shirts with puns that were popular with dads going to Disneyland in the 2000s.

Not gonna lie, and I’m not sure if this is just me reading too much into it, but he also reads as at least slightly neurodivergent to me. And I am ready to die on that hill. He doesn’t really seem to be the best at social interaction or with figuring people out, from the way he talks about not being able to tell if his coworkers are only laughing at his jokes to be polite or not and how he doesn’t seem to understand why they would be upset with him shoving minimal errors in their faces. He notices a single hat out of place in one of the Party Rooms and immediately goes to correct it. He makes a point about how much he hates messes and the whole “you need order, you crave order in your life” quote resonated so deeply with me that it’s uncanny. He’s a “stickler for rules”. The fact that he worked at one place for eleven plus years also makes me think he’s probably not the best with change. I could go on. I don’t know, I wouldn’t be able to tell you why, but I just can’t see him as fully neurotypical.

He’s also just a really curious dude, to the point of his curiosity overriding his survival instincts. Which is a horror protagonist trope if I’ve ever seen one. The scene where he lifts up a strange robot cupcake he just found directly to his face with zero hesitation is just. Yeah.

He loves Foxy, which we already knew, but also the fact that he explicitly states that he’s still scared of him and Pirate Cove by association makes me kinda sad. Also, related point, he’s a self-proclaimed fan of pirate stories, so I’m pretty sure that’s where Coppelia gets her taste in books from, but that’s besides the point.

In general, he just really loves the animatronics, too? Like he waves at them after his shift. Like I already mentioned, he talks about how much they mean to him, and how much he loves the fact that they brought joy to kids. It’s kinda sweet.

The most questionable thing about him is the way he. Uh. Talks about guns/cops in a way that kind of makes me remember he was raised in Utah around the 1960s. There are a few specific passages that make me extremely concerned about what his opinion on the second amendment is. But that is luckily left unspoken so I’ll be moving along.

The job stresses him out so much he consumes a packet of raw poptarts because he’s so hungry by the end of it. Which, while iconic, is also very deeply concerning. Which brings me to my biggest point

My god this man has Trauma. So much Trauma. He represses so much. The entirety of the beginning of Night 3 is just him describing that he forgets details about his shifts as soon as he leaves them. He gaslights himself constantly that nothing bad is happening (after Night 1, for example, he calls the entire shift the night before a bad dream and convinces himself he’s just “misinterpreting” events, which is goddamn concerning), but he’s also actively wasting away despite telling himself he’s not (my man looks into the mirror and his only and first comment is that he looks terrible). Not to mention the dissociation. He spaces out when he comes home on two seperate occassions, and loses and entire hour each time without realizing it. God I hope in the endings where he survives he eventually gets therapy.

Coppelia and Life Outside of Work (Or: This Section is Concerningly Short)

This man loves his daughter so goddamn much. So, so much.

No but seriously the interactions between him and Coppelia are so pure and well written and they were my favorite part of the book, somehow, even though I wasn’t originally sold on the concept. The “with what?” “excellent point, I’ve got nothing�� kills me still. The scene where Coppelia curls up next to him after he comes home from his shift makes me want to sob. He makes her pancakes and they banter and she test limits but it’s obvious she also loves her dad, and that is- AAAAAA

Back to my bullshit, though: Ralph does kinda read as the type of parent who’d spoil a kid rotten if given the opportunity to do so. At some point Coppelia directly says that he “gets her everything she wants”, and- yeah. This is similar to the point I made previously about him bringing her gifts all the time. She does seem like a good kid, though. He’s just a girl dad to the extent that he’d probably wear a shirt with girl dad written on it, you know?

He’s also really protective of her. And worries. A lot. Not just when he calls home or rushes home to check on her, but also when he talks about being a security guard at her school and whenever he forbids her from ever ever going near Freddy’s. Say what you will about him defending a company to a possibly unethical extent, but he’s not about to endanger his daugher over it, and I respect that.

The only concering thing about him and Coppelia is the fact that Coppelia apparently drew herself stabbing him when she was little. Which is. Well. Not ideal. The fact that he finds this completely normal is very in character, though.

On Coppelia by herself, though: the fact that she ‘tinkers with stuff in the basement’ concerns me. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if after the canon ending, she ends up to be a technician at Freddy’s at some point. Also, the fact that she’s a gamer warms my heart.

Now, on other outside-work activities: I love the implication that my man not only bowls and always pays for dinner, but that he bowls and pays for dinner while dining with his serial killer ex-boss. God, that’s awesome, I love that so much.

Tying back to a point I made previously and also to a point I saw some people make that I really, really resonated with: there are actually a lot of parallels between Henry/William and Ralph, especially concering parenting. I don’t think the fact that his dream to be a toymaker is accidental, either, or the fact that he goes out of his way to point out that he wants to make toys that aren’t at all mechanical. Audra has been at the school for only a week and all eyes were on her.

The smart girl, the miss goody two shoes, a girl who is both quirky yet professional. One already impressing her teachers and tutoring others for cash on the side. A girl ideally for the popular group or the nerds for that matter.

Yet, she decided to join the freaks of Hawkins High. The outcasts that were constantly ridiculed by the jocks and “superior” cliques.  However, she was happy that she got join a group and made good friends with people with similar interests.

She was also the interest of a certain Jock who was intrigued by her spunk and looks.  A girl pretty, smart, and a damsel in distress. To him, Audra was a girl that needed help and needed to free herself from the “demon of Hawkins”. She was pulled into a clique too soon before realising what other options there were.

The blonde jock had seen Audra Walk to her locker and notice the single red rose taped onto her locker with the note. Before Audra could have a moment to open the note, the freak of Hawkin’s had crept behind her with a pink t-shirt in hand. She had quickly noticed and turned around and smiled at him. Her dark eyes went wide at the pink shirt in hand as Eddie’s brows had knitted together in confusion at the red rose in her hand.

“Who gave you the rose” He asked.

Audra shrugs, “Don’t know they just left this note.” Eddie had taken the note out of her hand, even though she didn’t even get the chance to read it.

His eyes had hurriedly scanned the page and passed it back to her.

“Don’t know who can stay awake in English class to write down a quote of Romeo and Juliett on a piece of paper to try to get a chick” Eddie grumbled. “Especially why Romeo and Juliett, they die in the end.”

“You Eddie Munson do not appreciate English literature.” Audra remarked with a slight chuckle after hearing him grumble something about Lord of The Rings literature. She took it upon herself to read the note that she received.

“My Only Love Spung by My Only Hate.”  She shook her head. Audra has been at the school long enough to see that Hellfire was not exactly liked. But why would anyone make a move so early on, she has barely been here for more than a week.  For the time being, she pushed the rose to the side as she focused on the shirt in Eddie’s hands.

“I had to make this special for you. Didn’t think the white would suit you well.”

“You didn’t have to put in that effort for a shirt for me” She took it from his hands and admired the effort he put in it. The logo was in the middle with “HELLFIRE” on the top and “CLUB” under the demon. There was purple dice that were placed on the shirt with some flowers decorating around it.

“Well I did, and I wanted you to feel like you belong. Not to mention make you feel bad if you ever leave us” Eddie chuckled nervously. He had thought about the session all weekend to be honest and thought she needed a outfit that suited her. He thought while the white shirt with good for the guys, he wanted to get creative and decided to add some extra touches to her shirt.

“Thanks Eddie I love it” Audra had given him a quick hug then pushed back. Realising she went too far, due to his hesitation to wrap his arms around her. She coughed a soft “sorry”.

Eddie was hesitant as he was tempted to pull her cuteness in. But he thought it would be too awkward, especially with a girl that he just met and literally had a brief period of beef with.

The jock seen the entire scene, he had hoped that he could save Audra from the freak.

“So your telling me that you gave her a personalised shirt?” Dustin groaned at the table. “We all got used shirts Audra, I hardly see the treatment that Eddie is giving you as fair.”

“She wouldn’t want a smelly shirt. She would want a new one.” Eddie added.

“Remember Sarah? She got a used one and she didn’t complain” Jeff added to Dustin’s comment.

“Yea well….” Eddie had muttered nervously scratching the back of his neck.

“Well what?” Gareth raised his voice. “Why is the girl getting the special treatment?”

“She’s the only girl here and I wanted to make something nice for her alright? I treated her like a dick and thought this would make it up to her”

The boys at the table looked at each other and said nothing. This was out of character to Eddie, he would have given her the dirty used shirt. Regardless of being a dick to her and being polite to the female students from time to time, this was out of character.  

“Just don’t bang my cousin ok” Mike stated plainly. Romance was the last thing that this group needed, even though the group liked Audra.

“Audra? Wouldn’t dream of it “Eddie stated as he crunched his nose.  His brown eyes had caught a flash of red and he paused to see something that he feared. He knew that Audra would be tempted by other groups, the preps, nerds and the journalism committee to name a few.  But this, this was much worse.

He didn’t speak for a few minutes as he was focused on the groups red head talk to the blonde jock. She had a bright grin across her face and was laughing over his jokes. Her nose and eyes crinkled as he said something funny to her. The jock had stretched his arms to the wall, flashing a oh so classic smile to her.

The remainder of the group turned and seen the scene and knew that what was going to happen next was not going to be pretty.

Audra had placed her lunch tray down next to her cousin with a bright smile a few moments later. She however sensed something was off within the group as there was no trance of laughter but only silence between everyone. All of the members avoided eye contact with her, except for one.

Eddie had his eyes fixed on her. He knew he shouldn’t be mad, she is new and wouldn’t know any better. But seeing a member of his group talk to Jason, the jock who has harassed him since Jason was in grade 9 and Eddie in grade 11. He hated that prick and everyone in the group doesn’t blame him except for Lucas, a member of the basketball team and hellfire.

Regardless, Eddie had put a fake smile on his face and cleared his throat “So Audra, making new friends out of the group?” Everyone in the group had sensed his sarcasm except for Audra.

“Yea, Jason seems very nice.  Offered to hang out with me after school today.” Audra had stated. She kept the smile on her face, even though the sense of uneasiness had grown.

“Nice isn’t a word I would use” Eddie had cleared his throat. “Vile, wicked and nefarious are words I would use to describe him. Since your new, I am going to give you a soft warning, he is bad news and is likely trying to use you to get on my nerves”.

“Those are big words for someone who doesn’t talk kindly to him.” Audra had responded back. “Jason said a few things about you.”

“Please enlighten me princess, what did prince charming say to you that makes me seem like the monster of hellfire.” He had chuckled and leaned in the back of his chair, completely amused with Audra’s oblivious behaviour. He thought she was cleverer.

She had annoyance in her eyes on his neglectful behaviour, he was thinking this was some type of game and she can play along. “He said you were a freak, the king of freaks of Hawkins and you were probably going to use me in one of your freakish rituals. He also said that you were likely going to use me as a tool to taunt him to the devil.”

Eddie had shaken his head. Guess Jason is already trying to get into his new member’s head. He wasn’t going to let her go that easily, he worked hard on making a new shirt for a team member who has potential. “The prince tries to take our girl away with lies, obviously you can see that.”

“I seen people like him before too, thinking DND is some type of demonic ritual that take the girls away from the men who think they deserve them. I have been in a relationship before, and I know good people and bad people. I think he is only confused.”

“Audra, he gave you his true colors right there. There is no changing a man like him.” Eddie was rubbing the bridge of his nose.

Audra waited outside of the school by the entrance to the woods. She didn’t speak a word to any of the members of Hellfire even though they tried talking to her out of it. Even Mike tried to speak her against it. No matter, Mike and Dustin had to rely on two new faces to her try to get her out of it. It took a bit of persuading, but they both knew that Jason can be a dick. Mike got Nancy to casually come in later on then get her out of the ass holes grasp.

Steve and Robin wanted to keep it casual and not scare her off. They could both see how they would be able to since she was new and clever. So they decided to get her attention by casually wait for something next to her then turn around and just start small talk and then bring up Jason.  They waited at the stop then casually made glances before they commented the book that Audra is reading.

“Nice book?” Steve finally said. He knew that it was a alright book, Dustin couldn’t stop talking about Lord of The Rings. But it got her attention.

“I suppose that it is good, I am only in the second chapter. Dustin had requested the book to me.” She muttered as her eyes were glued on the page, not looking up to him.

Robin had spoke up next “I actually read the book back in grade 9, but don’t call me a book nerd, I am more into band.” She chuckled nervously. Audra’s brown eyes had glanced back at her. She seen her a few times in the hallway, a cute, quirky girl with always a handful of books in her hands. They traced to Steve, someone she hasn’t seen yet, but could see that he was a fuck boy with good brown hair.

“You don’t say, reading is a passion of mine. Is it worth reading?” Audra turned back to Robin. Robin and Steve had exchanged looks at one another, not too sure what was going on. Robin had scratched the back of her neck.

“I would finish it, your Audra, right?”

The book nerd nodded and offered her free hand “I am, I think I seen you around a bit.” Even though she swore herself that she was off dating, a bit of flirting wouldn’t hurt. Audra’s eyes glued to the band geek.

“Robin Buckley, you are Nancy’s cousin, right? She talked a lot about you. “Robin smiled as Audra nodded. Steve had cleared his throat then Robin had muttered a soft “This is Steve.”

“Hey” Audra could care less about Steve right now. She was not interested in fuck boys as friends or partners.  Steve just stood there while her and Robin talked.

“So who are you waiting for? You can’t already have a boyfriend already!” Robin had laughed.

“First, no boyfriend and secondly, there is no point a waste of time” Audra had chuckled, trying to hide the trauma of what happened with her last partner. “I am waiting for Jason.”

“Carver? Like the jock? Why?” Robin’s eyebrows scrunched up in disgust. “Isn’t he like the fuck boy Steve? The one who just sleeps with chicks, get them drunk and leave em” She turned to Steve in hopes to sell the disgust of him. Robin was told about Audra and her personality and her goody two shoe personality and was very lucky that Audra seemed to buy it.

Steve had nodded as Audra had shaken her head and slammed the book shut. “Should have known, new girl at a school and being jumped on.” She grabbed her bag and was preparing herself to leave.

“Should have expected it” Steve mused while Robin had nudged him.

“Come on it can’t be the first time this has happened.” Robin had tried to lighten up the mood. Audra had shaken her head “Not with guys.”

That shut the three up for a few moments. Robin had smirked to herself, understanding where she is coming from. She didn’t care if she was bisexual, lesbian or questioning, she was able to find someone who could relate to her.

“I see, been there.” Robin had rubbed Audra’s shoulders for a second before taking a step back. “Hey Steve, Nancy and I were going to hang out at Steve’s place for a movie night, I know we have just met and all but come hang with us.”

“Oh, I got a test tomorrow…”

“Come on,” Robin urged “It is going to be fun!” She gave her a playful nudge. Audra couldn’t help but glance into the geeks brown eyes.

“Ok then I will go hang out with you guys, sounds like fun.”  She shrugged as she began to follow Robin and Steve to his car. Nancy was just leaving the school when she seen the two take Audra to their car, implying that it was a success.   She just snuck behind the three of them to talk about the movie options for the evening.

Eddie was in the parking lot, he seen the whole thing from the window of his RV. He was waiting for a customer and watched the whole thing unfold. A wide grin was spread across his face watching Audra leave the spot Jason wanted to meet her at. He had completed the deal with a cheerleader then wanted to wait a bit longer. He wanted to see Jason’s face knowing that she left him. It was worth the wait, seeing Jason in despair and pissed. Before Eddie had left, he drove past Jason and flipped him off.

Mephone seems to be looking at something for imperfections, using his hands to border whatever he may be looking at from his POV, and smiling at his work. From what I can say, he seems to be - though not too kindly - , giving his rebuttal to what Steve has just told the finalists. He has a right to be as mad as he is, due to how 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 he's been trying to get just 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗲. That's all he wants! Or at least that's when he thinks. He thinks that with all the precautions he's put, just wanting one good finale for he little show is not too much time ask for, but with the fact that all he's doing is 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘊𝘰𝘣𝘴, he's denying a happy ending to not only himself, but every single one of his contestants. He deserves a good yell at Steve, though. I really want to see that.

From her confident stance, it seems that she's taking a place of leadership. It's hard to see from the screenshot I took, but, Mepad is on the verrrry edge on the shot. Another gathering of contestants stand to the other side of him, suggesting that Mean is the main onlooker to something or someone in front of him. This may very well be 𝘔𝘦𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘦. I'll come back to this.

Blue Eye Samurai characters and the four elements - some thoughts I've had since there are four core character in the story.

Ringo seems like Earth - he's sturdy, solid, as much physically (despite his disability) as mentally. He is very much grounded in his beliefs and rather is the one who changes others, like Mizu. He is the character in the story whose character & goals don't change immensely, he remains steady - he wants to be great and useful, and despite differences with Mizu he near constantly stands by her and goes back to her. Also he's a cook & a healer , giving him a nurturing aspect.

Taigen : That's were it gets interesting ! Taigen at first seems like fire. Relative to Mizu he's presented as a violent bully, vicious & destructive, and later a proud man, quick to anger and single-minded. But we do see that he has evolved positive qualities too ; he has a sweet relationship with Akemi & truly cares about her. He develops respect for Mizu. Which to me means he's swapped element ; how he complements Akemi matters in this. But his own desire to cut his way "out of the net" of his poor upbringing and seemingly predetermined future makes him close to the element of air, as in like Akemi, he seeks a form of freedom. Him embracing the kind of lif were Akemi & him run away from her family & his duties/honor together, confirms it to me.

Akemi : originally the one I'd associate to air. She's the most constrained out of the three protagonists,and the one yearning the most for freedom. She's associated directly to a bird in a cage, which she sets free and emulates when he flies away. But like Taigen, she shifts ; they actually swap, as Taigen renounces ambition while she embraces it in from of a burning bulding. What element better associated to power than fire, after all ? She literally is compared to a sun goddess in the series (and that is related to her sexuality and the way she wields it to take control).

Mizu : this seems like the most forward given her name, since it means water ; and to first explore that there are some two similar quotes from both Blue Eye Samurai & Memoirs of a Geisha that convey the vibe pretty well : "being on your own, you could be like water. Impossible to catch" (The Tale of the Ronin and the Bride) // "[My mother] she told me I was like water. Water can carve its way even through stone, and when trapped, water makes a new path..." (Memoirs of a Geisha). Especially that bit about being trapped & carving your way out of that situation. Mizu really feels like she's capable of anything with her blade. She can be anything, like water can take any shape ; like water Can find its way anywere, so does she. They are both flexible, obstinate and resilient. But then, there is the burning in Mizu's heart. How Mizu's inner conflict and désire for revenge is likened both to her most naturel element (a storm in the soul, a typhoon, a breaze at sea swallowed by darkness...) And to fire (the fire in you rages beyond control). She is water but she is raised in a forge, she knows fire & how to use it intimately ; her relationship to fire is not just negative and destructive, there is actually a meaningful aspect of creation & art through fire in her story (the 2d and 7th episode show that well) but of course, she is the reason why the city of Edo burns at the end. She is mixed, made of two clashing elements that rage in her, like her japanese side clashes with her white side.

SHE DESERVES to have Child like aspects. he knows literally everything there is to know about the world EXCEPT being a child. and forces Was SCARY, there was a war going on. sonic was universally presumed dead. tails was all alone and defenseless again. sonic was the one who showed him that he Can be strong, but sonic being gone is going to be insanely traumatic Man idk what to tell you…. that’s his big brother and literal care taker and like his reason for being alive ! i’m glad that they wrote tails like that in forces even if it Was ‘inconsistent’ to his character,,, tails is inconsistent! he is messy! because he is a KID! the fact he willingly wants to go off on his own in frontiers is so so big for his character and it makes me so emotional. he’s CHOOSSSSINNGGGG to branch out from sonic, hes doing it for himself. which is something she never/rarely does. she puts everyone first, tails does not care about himself in the slightest. every time he says something worrying n Almost opens up in frontiers he IMMEDIATELY shuts himself down. because Sonic is in danger and needs help. he’s being a burden. stop It. and sonic is So worried about his baby brother. and even says so and Again and again tails says it doesn’t matter right now😢 that they’ll talk later 😢 andhow can he be useful right now!! but she’s hurting So bad and more than anything just wants to be someone reliable enough to not be abandoned by sonic, The first person who has ever been kind to him 😭him wanting to leave n work on himself , BY himself Is so. important. to me. bc for the first time he sees himself as SOMEONE. instead of just sonics partner… and sonics Response. oh Im getting nauseous typing this out thinking about it. STORY TIME this is kind of funny to think about in retrospect Something was wrong with me. but before i got my tails plushie as a kid at Likeee… i couldnt have been older than or 3 or 4? i was already very obsessed with tails! i wasn’t old enough to play or Understand how to play sonic games(i watched my dad for hours while he’d play the games for me & i also was really into the 90s cartoons) but i was IMMEDIATELY so So incredibly attached to tails. he was my little buddy! i was him for halloween once , i had this pair of white shoes that i Never took off because they made me feel like tails and i remember when my mother had to throw them out bc they were Raggedy and falling apartBC I NEVER TOOK THEM OFF ohhh. Opinions about the movie it: Specifically, about Richie and Eddie and their whole deal. and How they defeat Pennywise the first time.

SPOILERS AHEAD, in can you could not have guessed.

Okay so IT. IT is one of my top 3 movies of all time (if not all time) in which I watched it about 5 times in a week when I first got into it. (I also have not read the book yet but I have been planning on it for a while, just need to get my hands on it.) I really enjoyed it personally, and I don't think it is that scary anymore, but I was originally scared shitless the first time I tried to watch it years ago when I was not into horror yet. Even though it was made in 2017, it still has that 80s horror feel to it that I love, and I love the dynamic between the group of 7 in the first movie.

Now buckle up, because I am about to go full on special interest on this ask and yap about its inherent queerness and how it affects the story line and how it could've been used more.

Richie, Eddie, and the inherent queerness between the two. It was very clear that Richie, if not Eddie as well, were very much implied to be interested in each other.

But more specifically Richie. I honestly wish they did more with them, but it was very clear that they were a duo; a pair within the original group of 4. Putting it out now: I have not actually seen IT Chapter 2 all the way through as I kept crying over Stanley's death, and I honestly was extremely disappointed in how they handled the film as a whole, and the decline in quality. So, my information may not be entirely correct, but in the end of IT chapter 2, we see a clip of Richie carving he and Eddie's initials into the bridge. As well as I believe when Eddie dies later in the film, Richie tries to go back to get his body/doesn't want to leave him behind. Richie was obviously head over heels for him from the start to finish, and you could tell. From the constant bickering; teasing; borderline obsession that he had for Eddie. In the book, I believe Richie would also call Eddie "Eddie Spaghetti" multiple times, don't quote me though. All of this to say, Richie loved Eddie. A LOT. To the point that in the second movie Richie was out as gay but STILL hadn't found a lover, whilst we see both Stanley, Bill, and Eddie married, as well with Beverly with a boyfriend (in the beginning of the film, at least). I am not saying that some of these relationships are healthy by any means (especially Eddie's which I will explain soon), but it goes to show that many of the people from the core 7 found relationships, and yet Richie did not.

Now Eddie is slightly more complicated, as all throughout IT we see the toxic relationship between his mother, and how she gaslit him into believing he was sick all the time. This would then later end up with him marrying someone else very similar to his mother who treated him very much the same. Then, at the end where he ends up dying, it ends very tragically where his whole life he had to live with people being very controlling over him and him never getting to experience that freedom he deserved. I bring this up because in IT, we see near the end where Eddie is told that his medication are placebos, and he tells his mother he's tired of her trying to keep him away from his friends. He realised there that he was happier and more free when he was with his friends, and (though not said) specifically Richie as well in my opinion. Richie was unabashedly himself, and wasn't afraid to be weird with his friends. I know it is strongly theorised that Richie is ADHD as well, which could also play a part. All the while both Stan and Bill are more reserved in my opinion, both as Bill was self-conscious because of his stutter, and Stanley being bullied for being jewish (both of which we see happen in the beginning of IT). Eddie felt more comfortable around his friends, and specifically Richie because he truly did not care enough about acting weird. Though I believe it is never actually shown that Eddie had a romantic interest in Richie, I strongly believe it could've been something if the writers allowed it.

Now, Eddie and Richie's interactions with each other (in the first movie, because as I have said I have not seen enough of the second movie to speak on it much). Many times, we see specifically Richie and Eddie interacting. To be honest, they are probably the 2 people we see interacting the most throughout the entire movie. One scene I want to bring up specifically, which took me multiple watches to catch, is that at I believe the Derry festival, Richie comes back with 2 ice cream cones, and gives one to Eddie. Now, whether Eddie had directly asked him to get him a cone, or Richie just buying it for him, I think it shows just how much Richie did care about him. I think it shows a little bit of how they interact with each other when we don't see them (on camera). And sure, you can buy ice cream for your friends, but would you not also either ask if anyone else wanted one? You could make the argument that he couldn't carry it but it doesn't disprove the fact Richie specifically bought ice cream for Eddie, which shows how he cared for him.

Richie and Eddie are also constantly bickering back and forth. From when Eddie is trying to help Ben after getting stabbed and him telling Richie to shut up with the silly voices, or in the sewer scene where Richie constantly bickers to Eddie about him being afraid to enter. You can obviously see Richie being the comedic relief, but always more-so to Eddie. To me, I interpret this as him seeing that Eddie is almost always on edge, and trying to distract him to make sure he's happier. And while we do see Eddie get annoyed at Richie, I don't think we ever truly saw him get angry at him or be upset, other than slightly annoyed or exasperated.

I know l am yapping, but to answer your next question about how they defeated pennywise the first time, I think Richie and Eddie's relationship still play a fairly large role. They learn that in order to defeat Pennywise, they have to stop being afraid. We see Richie constantly worry about Eddie when in the house, and basically stuck to his side. In the scene where they are in Bill's garage and watching the projector, when Pennywise shows up on it, we see in the background Richie grabbing onto Eddie, and Eddie grabbing onto him. In a moment of fear, they automatically reached towards each other. This to me they they feel most safe when they are together/close. This makes me think that Richie was really the one that helped Eddie be brave enough to face Pennywise and defeat him. While I think Richie was able to be brave enough to defeat Pennywise because he not only cares about the group but also wanted to keep Eddie safe.

All of this to say; Richie and Eddie were very much implied to be queer (in the movies); even more-so when Richie was confirmed to be gay in the second movie. I really wish that we got to see Richie and Eddie get together to not only have that queer representation, but because I honestly think it would have been a healthy relationship, like it was in the beginning. Richie constantly distracting and teasing Eddie; then comforting each other in times of fear; doing little things for the other. They both cared about each other a lot and I am truly disappointed on the fact we never got to see a happy ending for Eddie, where after years of being in an abusive relationship where Eddie is made to be dependent on the people that are supposed to be your most trusted, he just, dies. We never get to see him get out of those relationships and find someone better (AKA Richie). I truly think the story of Richie and Eddie after IT Chapter 2 could have been its own movie or mini series/book (even though it wouldn't have been). To see Richie be in contact with Eddie again and maybe help him realise he's in an abusive relationship and help him get out of it. At that point it doesn't when have to be romantic but just a deep and intense love for wanting the other to be happy. It would have made a great ending of 2 characters finally finding happiness in each other again after years of struggling.

So there. You asked about my opinion of IT and here it is. This took me like an hour as I immediately started writing after getting this ask, but I enjoyed it. It's nice to finally put my thoughts on this movie into a (hopefully) coherent analysis. Hi, so actually not liking the strong boys doesn't make me less of a fan of Aegon and Viserys than you. Maybe I have my reasons for not liking three plot devices that it was pretty clear weren't going to live, maybe not liking a character doesn't affect my opinions on another character you know?

And I'm not going to question your status as an Aegon and Viserys fan but saying that he is the worst of Rhaenyra's children?? Viserys? Wouldn't Rhaenyra hate you for saying that one of her babies is the worst? Or that only applies to Aegon and Viserys...I believe it applies to Aegon a little bit less since he saw his mother dying and the fandom can make his saddnes about her exclusively even though he was depressed and guilty since what he believed was Viserys' death (let's forget about his father dying too and stormcloud...and his half brothers because yes I don't like them but that doesn't make me blind to the things happening in the book) that was provoked by the great mastermind Jace...that sent two boys alone to another continent while the rest of the siblings could remain safely on westeros how curious is that, and of course the famous worshipped his elder half brothers (but let's forget everything it says after that very conveniently).

I mean the main point of my original post was to express my confusion as to why the Velaryon boys (that is their legal last name btw, not Strong) would receive such vitriol from anyone other than Team Greens stans who hate them for being Rhaenrya’s sons. You mentioned them being just plot devices, and sure I can see why someone would think that. But I feel that way about book!Helaena, that she is just a personality-less plot device whose only role is to be the “Team Green victim”, and yet I don’t actively hate her— I simply don’t care about her at all. And my post was especially targeted at people who don’t simply dislike the Velaryon boys, but viscerally despise them. Like I saw one post taking about the need to “cleanse the throne of bastard blood” from an Aegon III fan, and that’s just really weird to me. I see enough bigotry cosplay from TG stans, I don’t much care to see it in the Aegon III tag. Of course, people have the right to post what they want and I’m certainly not saying they can’t. But likewise I have the right to post about my dislike of the takes that I see.

But you are right, disliking the Velaryon boys doesn’t automatically make you less of an Aegon and Viserys fan. I was more just being dramatic because of how I’m unable to wrap my head around why Aegon and Viserys fans would hate them so much. Like who you like though, dislike who you dislike, none of this is that serious.

I do what to expand on what I said about Viserys II though. It’s interesting because the quote you pulled was from a long and passionate post I wrote defending Viserys. I said Viserys was the worst of Rhaenyra’s sons, and my main reasoning for that is that none of them ever did anything so bad as doom their daughter to a marriage to a psychopathic r*pist who ultimately kills her. BUT, I would also say that Viserys II is the BEST of Rhaenyra’s sons. None of them ever did anything so great as rebuild the realm in the wake of the Dance of Dragons, devoting their life to bringing peace and prosperity and stability to the people of Westeros. My whole point it’s ridiculous to compare a man who lived nearly 50 years, had three kids, and ran the realm for decades to three teenagers who died before they ever got a chance to rule anything. Of course Viserys has done both more great and more bad things than his half brothers. He’s the best and the worst of them, and that’s what makes him interesting. I don’t need to whitewash his flaws because I’m not interested in comparing him to anyone. It’s not a competition on who is better or worse— I’d rather leave that attitude in the TB vs TG discourse. my dear esteemed friend & colleague can you tell me a bit about torksmith... my layman's impression is that a. peter tork is an angel b. mike nesmith is even taking into account the extenuating circumstances ie the horror show that is the average workday of a Monkee kind of an asshole so i feel like i have more than a few puzzle pieces missing..

the thing about Peter and Mike is that their role in the monkees was the same: they were The Musicians, the guys who knew what they were doing when it came to instruments and songwriting and performing and had capital E Experience with that side of things. they were the most frustrated with the monkees situation and The Horrors etc. Peter in the sense that he was a free spirit with TONS of musical talent and classical training but was bullied in particular, mostly because The Powers That Be thought he couldn't sing (untrue) and also was a hippie freak who didn't deserve nice things, and Mike in the sense that he was hot headed and a genuinely talented songwriter with Every Disorder who just was full of hatred and always had somewhere better to be. and Neither Of Them Signed Up For This! like literally they didn't know they wouldn't be allowed to play their own music until AFTER they'd signed the contract.

unfortunately, instead of this bringing them together and having them make out sloppy style about it, it's generally believed that this just caused more tension between them because despite the fact that Everything About Them aligned perfectly with each other, it didn't align perfectly *enough* and there were enough differences in personality and beliefs that there was a lot of friction between them. but i do believe they still made out sloppy style about it, just with a lot more tension.

Mike, being the grade A insecure asshole that he was who probably suffered from proximity envy of Peter and was maybe a little threatened by him, decided to make Peter's experience worse. normal! he's the epitome of the post that's like "guy who is attracted to another guy and decides to psychosexually torture him about it". this insane mike interview quote sums it up really nicely. Still can't believe he said all that. In 1972.

Peter IS an angel but i don't think he was innocent in all this, but it *is* disproportionate in that there's a lot more recorded instances of Mike being a horrible freak than Peter, BUT there's this 1982 moment which makes me LOSE my mind he is so Ex Wife Coded here. He was a bitch at times and good for him because there's a lot of accounts that say mike would sometimes make life pretty miserable for him. BUT on the flip side mike was also really nice to him which is what makes it so crazy! in like, early 1966 or whatever, when they were filming the pilot, Peter lived with mike and phyllis nesmith ! mike let peter live with him! for like, a good couple of months! and in the early early days when Peter was asked who he got along best with, Peter said mike, because of how nice living together was! Im holding a gun in my shaking hands. AND there's another story of mike insisting that Peter get to play guitar on one of their early tracks when everything was done by studio musicians, and AGAIN later when Peter was told he wasn't allowed to sing on their record, mike was the one who stood up for him! whats that all about!

i think there's a lot of factors to their weird rivalry. a lot of it comes from the two of them but also other parties, like its pretty common knowledge that the Big Producers, bob rafelson in particular, were like. Stirring shit up and keeping it "interesting", like the whole thing was a social experiment to them. the point for me is that they had their On Again and Off Again eras, and it's pretty well documented. sometimes you can tell from a press conference or a music video or a photo if it was during a period that they loved each other or that they hated each other, and it's all over the place because THEY were all over the place. the most married era was the 1980s when mike joined them for the reunion, particularly 1989. this press tour conference video. please watch from the 6:40 timestamp. "who's your favourite monkee" "peter" <- not a seconds hesitation fuck my entire life . What did he mean by this.

With girl A, I spent almost a whole class lecture (friendly) debating with this one girl on why people medically diagnosed as psychopaths and sociopaths are not inherently dangerous, are not narcissistic by default and how ‘masking’ is not a form a manipulation. With girl B, I feel like she’s sooooo,,,, dismissive ?? Idk like I tried to introduce her to my friends once and she genuinely did not gaf. Like I said hi B this is C then she says hi to me and me only. Like my girl C is right here. But at the same time she’s always bringing me into her friend groups which is fine but I dont connect easily so most times I’m kinda just there SPECIALLY if it’s an all men group when I have specially told her I tend to be uncomfortable with men for “no” reason

I was having a conversation with girl A and the topic of autism was brought up, I told her that I think I may be low on the spectrum but there are some things I tend to relate to with autism behaviors, and considering opened up to me about her anxiety and how she had previously talked very openly abt diagnosis I thought maybe she’d get it. I know,,, self diagnosis (u are free to feel any type of way abt it) but idk I thought she’d have any type of nuanced comment about it but I should’ve known from the psychopath talk… I had told her that I find meeting new people very hard, I have difficulty talking to said people and I tend to be very restrictive about who I make a meaningful connection to. She said that my personality is and I quote “mamona” (jerk/snob/asshole ish) and completely dismissed my masking, overstimulation, 10 year old special interest, taking shit to literal and not understanding social cues or instructions as “just being different” yeah so I thought… yknow I might not have autism valid but idk I felt so ignored at that moment

Also don’t think I just unpack shit on her unannounced, we talk and convos play out as they usually do and since the topic was out I was like sometimes I wonder if I have it because of so and so plus she was unwinded with me before so it wasn’t impossible for us to talk abt personal stuff, even though we not so tight we are still close

Another thing I’m very bad at making friends, I think I mirror good enough to have nice interactions with people but not to the point they invite me to shit or talk to me outside of classes. Back when I was in my exchange program I was sharing a room with 3 swifties so I had to pretend to like Taylor swift so I wouldn’t feel singled out, I also watched the summer I turned pretty and witnessed these girls thirst over bad boy #2 when I thought the character was so shitty (the actor is good looking but I’m not attracted to him) and also would also unknowingly spend all-nighters on school nights (as in I didn’t know they were meant to be all-nighters) with them watching a movie I didn’t particularly like and see everyone thirsting over annoying man on screen (one of them was some straight outta wattpad step-sibling story ew, the other pride and prejudice IM SORRY YALL I DIDNT GET THE HYPE 😭 call me uncultured it’s okay

A and B are sólo also hardcore swifties and I can only be neutral abt her otherwise they get on my ass about it and saying I like Taylor swift or her music is too big of a lie even for me

I told girl A about this (or at least a bit) and she said that I should’ve just been me. Girl I can’t be me we were both witnessing a girl being actively bullied (tv show ass bullying they printed a picture of her and drew over it ugly, taped it to her dorm room. Still hurtful and bullying tho) I’m NOT about to ostracize myself

HOWEVERRR these are not my main friends, these are like the friends I made to not be lonely in these extra classes for an American 🦅🦅🦅 diploma. My close CLOSE friends are from my same career classes and they are so much more understanding and can interact more naturally with. So in my day to day I got good genuine friends by my side

I recognize that I can be perceiving these memories differently than how they actually happened, misinterpret their actions and just be in my feeling right now but idk I feel like I’m so difficult and constantly just have to comply with people in order to make others comfortable

If you’re new here, I suck at starting and finishing series and making choices, so I let Tumblr pick which anime I’ll watch next.

I’ve just returned from vacation, and have the freedom once again to include longer series - and long long series (description of how that’ll work below with the propaganda) - in these polls!

As always, propaganda* (*rambles about series I haven’t finished and how little I know about series I haven’t started yet, etc) below the poll. You’re welcome to reblog if you wanna bully your followers into voting for your fave. Other people’s followers and assorted Tumblr users: you don’t have to know me, follow me, or like me to throw anime at me. You don’t even have to like anime if you just wanna press a button. How the long long series will work in my polls:

We all know some anime series are hundreds - even thousands - of episodes long. When it comes to these polls, rather than straight-shotting through these beasts, I’ll break them up by however the series is naturally divided (by season or arc - whatever that series has chosen). If there’s a shorter season/arc, it may be combined into the next one (for instance if one arc has 16 episodes and the one after has 30, I’ll watch 46eps for that poll option, since that’s pretty manageable. We’ll play it by ear, folks). I’ll always be specific in the propaganda about how far I’ll be watching for that particular poll and update my pinned post with my progress for that specific series after. The series may not show up in back-to-back polls for the sake of taking breaks and not burning myself out on the same thing.

Rambles about the options:

Blue Exorcist - I watched everything available circa 2014/15ish, but now there’s more? Apparently? I guess? Cool! I’ll probably rewatch what I have seen since it’s been a while and proceed from there.

Free! - I watched ISC and ES as they were airing. In sub. And y’all know I prefer dubs (of course I went back and watched it when there was finally a dub). But while everything past Eternal Summer was airing, I was in my busy period… 😬 Still have to finish it - but to be clear, I will be marathoning everything, starting yet again with Iwatobi Swim Club. Also I absolutely don’t mean to influence the vote but the longer Free! stays in these polls, the more 50% Off! quotes I get to use. If you ever see “backstroke for days,” assume I’ve run out.

Zombie Land Saga + Revenge - This has been in the polls before and I’m sure many of you have seen my propaganda for it before. TLDR: Love it, wanna finish it, TERFs aren’t welcome here 😌

One Piece - There’s a quote from an episode of Um, Actually… where Mike Trapp says he hasn’t read Wheel of Time because, while he’s always meant to, it “feels like nerd homework.” One Piece is my “feels like nerd homework.” For the purpose of this poll option, if chosen, I will start One Piece by watching the first arc.
