yeah the child murder and senseless violence in Breaking Bad are hard to watch but did you see the way Jesse slowly starts flinching away from Walter whenever he approaches him? Or the way his hands shake like he isn't sure what he's going to be forced to do with them whenever Walter enters the room? Or maybe the way Skyler closes her eyes in a silent prayer of "please don't touch me please don't touch me" in later seasons when Walt forces himself into bed with her? Or the way Skyler scans for exits in any room she and Walter have to share together? the true horror of Breaking Bad to me isn't the physical violence, it's the way Walt is able to rely on his image as an intelligent, well educated, mealy mouthed school teacher for long enough to traumatize those closest to him beyond recognition again and again and again before anyone even starts to get a clue what's happening behind the scenes lol. then to see a huge portion of the fanbase fall right in line behind the narrative of lies Walt spins in order to absolve himself of any blame or accountability? whew. im tired lol

It's funny to me that from mid season 4 onwards Nacho is playing with a poker chip and I know it's meant to be symbolic of him having to have a "poker face" around all his enemies but the man has the worst poker face in existence. Almost every scene with a Salamanca has Nacho rolling his eyes and huffing loudly and giving people the Death Stare, but the Salamanca family just love themselves so much and think they're so great that they don't even question why someone in their inner circle might hate them.

watching gus and mike in better call saul is really just watching a game of tennis between two seasoned pros that really makes me appreciate how much of a fucking moron walter white was

better call saul is the funniest show ever because the b plot will be: cartel shootout!!! nacho is bleeding out in the desert!!! will gus avenge his lover's murder at last?!?! and the a plot is: jimmy has a job interview. at the printer store.
