GIVE ME A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF ALL YOUR OCS (PLEASE)
hehehe I WILL RIGHT NOW
so first things first we have:
august juniper moor — my baby. my first star wars oc. she’s a zygerrian set in pre-phantom menace all the way through revenge of the sith & the crimson dawn era. she is widely known as (previously) darth (now just) maul’s lover. she’s endured a lot. she’s been through some shit. she’s very against the jedi order even though she spent years training alongside obi-wan under qui-gon. she lost her eye in a duel with count dooku where he set the ship to explode. she’s a badass & the strongest force user out of my ocs. her kyber crystal was purple and now it’s red. she wields a double-bladed saber, similar to maul’s. she left the jedi order before the events of rots/order 66.
kade kolpall — a nautolan who is also set in the clone wars era. he was 17 in rots and 35 (1 bby). his inspiration comes from bioluminescent fish species so he has a darker grey skin tone with yellow markings. one of them falls over his right eyes and resembles a crescent moon. he’s 6’8” & one big fella who can crush your windpipe with the snap of his finger. his master was kit fisto. (he was sort of a loose canon (he is sort of a parallel to anakin) he then joined the empire and sort of became an inquisitor but also didn’t really fuck with any of them so he just did his own thing and hunted down the jedi. (fuck canon because this is MY star wars lore) he has two lightsabers that were yellow kyber crystals but now they are also red. he met the love of his life on a backwater planet while trying to hunt down remaining jedi/force users.
erena lianoma arballor — my only human so far out of my ocs. she was 14 during rots and then 32 (1 bby). her home planet is alderaan. she’s 5’7”, medium build, with long, thick, black hair that reaches her mid back. she has hazel eyes and freckles. she was a jedi padawan during the events of order 66 but managed to survive and evade death on some backwater planet. she is taken in by a nautolan mechanic by the name of mara and they end up running a shop together. they sort of become sisters but mara has maternal instincts at times. kade initially is the one assigned to find her and kill her since her force signature can be felt by vader & palpatine. the best part is, kade is so awestruck by her beauty he can't kill her.
all of my clone ocs -- the 328th legion featuring commander bull, leo, scorpio, aro, & gunther. there are a few others but i just haven't fleshed them all out quite yet. their armor is navy with powdery blue accents. they are august's boys and she loves them to death.
mara -- my other nautolan oc. she's 22 when she first takes in erena, and i have to really flesh her out as well. she's a mechanic, insanely intelligent, & is overprotective of erena. her markings resemble a koi fish, and she has the warmest amber eyes you've ever seen.
if you have any other questions, feel free to ask hehe! :))

Star Ware Rebels Bechdel Test Rewatch- 2x22 ‘Twilight of the Apprentice, Part II’
Plot
Ezra, Kanan, and Ahsoka arrive at Malachor, a seemingly dead world and home to an ancient Sith Temple, but they are not alone. Paths cross, destinies change, and fates are fulfilled
Female Characters: 4
Ahsoka Tano, Seventh Sister, Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren
Male Characters: 8
Ezra Bridger, Kanan Jarrus, Maul, Darth Vader, Fifth Brother, Eighth Brother, Zeb Orrelios, Rex
Droid Characters: 2
Chopper, AP-5
Does it pass?
No, the second part of the Season 2 finale is also a fail. Ahsoka and the Seventh Sister are featured the most prominently but they once again don’t speak.
I think I speak for a lot of fans when I say this is one of my favorites in all of Star Wars. The Ahsoka vs Vader duel holds so much weight and is incredibly emotional. Kanan being blinded by Maul is tragic but ultimately a great storytelling decision for Kanan and Ezra’s development. Ezra saying ‘Kanan....your eyes.’ always gets me.
Honestly, I was very emotional rewatching this episode. My boyfriend isn’t much of a Star Wars fan and was watching with me and I had a hard time keeping my shit together. The final moments are so cinematic, I get chills. The score, seeing Maul escape Malachor, the rest of Phoenix Squadron’s reaction to Kanan and Ezra returning, Vader limping away from the temple, Morai flying into the smoke, the brief hint that Ahsoka is still alive..... it works so well. Rebels crushes it in the Season Finale department.
I will note that Hera and Sabine appear in this episode but have no lines. I’m counting this as an appearance for them (as well as Zeb and Rex) because they are so busy *emoting* we don’t even need to hear them speak.
That’s a wrap on Season 2!

Star Wars Characters and their DND classes according to me and my very limited experience with DND
Jedi—
All of these people actually use magic (The Force) so I did try to stick to the magic wielding classes
Anakin Skywalker — Paladin
Ahsoka Tano — Monk & Fighter (multi class)
Obi Wan Kenobi — Sorcerer
Plo Koon — Monk
Yoda — Druid
Qui Gon Jin — Cleric
Sith —
All of these people are also magic users (again The Force but The Dark Side this time) but they aren’t just Warlocks to Palpatine so I have all of his followers a multi class that I think fits them
Sheev Palpatine— Sorcerer & Rogue (multi class)
Maul — Warlock (of Palpatine) & Barbarian
Dooku — Warlock (of Palpatine) & Fighter
Darth Vader — Warlock (of Palpatine) & Paladin
The Bad Batch —
We’re gonna take some liberties here, the clones can’t use magic (The Force) in canon so we’re looking for vibes and other class features here.
Hunter — Ranger
Tech — Wizard
Wrecker — Barbarian
Crosshair — Paladin
Omega — Cleric
The 501st —
We’re gonna take some liberties here, the clones can’t use magic (The Force) in canon so we’re looking for vibes and other class features here.
Rex — Fighter
Echo — Wizard
Fives — Rogue
Jesse — Fighter
Kix — Cleric
Tup — Bard
Dogma — Paladin
Other Favorite Clones —
We’re gonna take some liberties here, the clones can’t use magic (The Force) in canon so we’re looking for vibes and other class features here.
Cody — Fighter (specifically an Eldritch Knight)
Wolffe — Barbarian
Bly — Bard
Fox — Monk
99 — Cleric

Dark Horse is releasing a hardcover collection of Vader's Castle stories. Star Wars: Vader's Castle - The Deluxe Library Collection contains Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Vader's Castle, Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle, Star Wars Adventures: Shadow of Vader’s Castle, Star Wars Adventures: Ghosts of Vader's Castle, and "Droid Hunters" from Star Wars Adventures: Free Comic Book Day 2019. Creatives included in the collection are writer Cavan Scott, artists Francesco Francavilla, Derek Charm, Megan Levens, Kelley Jones, Corin Howell, Robert Hack, Nicoletta Baldari, Nick Brockenshire, and Charles Paul Wilson III, colorists Charlie Kirchoff, Michelle Madsen, Valentina Pinto, and Michael Devito, and letterers Robbie Robins, Tom B. Rebel Commander Lina Graff, Lieutenant Hudd, and friends are forced to sneak through Vader's castle on Mustafar in search of an exit. On the way they "trade terrifying tales of Obi-Wan, Han, Chewbacca, the Ewoks, and other galactic heroes facing off against interstellar creeps such as menacing Sith, soulless stormtroopers, possessed droids, alien witches, mutant monsters, and more! When Hudd falls into the clutches of Vaneé, the castle's creepy caretaker, he is treated to further spine-chilling stories of the galaxy's most vile villains, including Darth Maul, Asajj Ventress, Jabba the Hutt, and Vader himself! Even after the band of rebels flee the fortress, they are pursued by nightmares of rampaging were-Wookiees, Dagobah swamp monsters, and other ghouls!" The locals of Mustafar also have their own legends about the citadel in their midst. (Dark Horse)
Star Wars: Vader's Castle - The Deluxe Library Collection, featuring a cover by Francesco Francavilla, goes on sale in bookstores on September 24, 2024, and in comic shops on September 25, 2024.

That's how the official Celebration Japan site teased the weekend, but how did it really shape up? Was it a storming success like Celebration Europe? Did it pour down with rain? Was there a huge surprise appearance by George Lucas like Celebration 3, or would the magic of Star Wars reign supreme as it did at the first Celebration back in 1999? Fan Chris Gereke, Lucasfilm Events Manager Mary Franklin and artist Richard Chasemore were in attendance, and here's what they had to say about the show.... Star Wars Photo Sets: Star Wars fans have created fantastic photos sets, including vehicles and creatures, that will make you feel like you are inside the Star Wars galaxy. Find them across the show, and stop to have your picture taken! Celebration Japan standouts were The Clone Wars panels with Dave Filoni, Matt Wood and Takeuchi." [gallery link="file" columns="2" size="large" ids="144925,144924"] "The 501st had a cool Silver Trooper guarding George Lucas in carbonite. Someone's head will roll. Alongside the Rebel Legion modeling groups were set up with some amazing character and ship models as well as collector groups." [gallery link="file" columns="2" size="large" ids="144927,144926"] "The Clone Wars footage was amazing. Three different clips were shown. Obi-Wan, Cody, Anakin, Rex and the clones battling countless Battle and Super Battle droids as well as spider droids on the world of Christophsis. Anakin and Rex make a very dramatic and unconventional flanking move to turn the tide of the battle against the droids. Several clones lost heads or limbs and became cannon fodder. The next clip was a fun clip with Anakin and the new character Ahsoka. Anakin's padawan (who rivals Padme and Leia with her wit and character) attacking a Separatist outpost atop of a mountain. "Race you to the top!" The massive AT-TE actually ascending the mountain, the battle droids are zany almost a stooge quality or a Gomer Pyle shtick. I loved how the battlefield is turned on its side as 'sky guy' and 'snips' race to the top. I think fans will love Ahsoka, she is a very cool character. The third clip was Kenobi and Asajj Ventress in a fierce lightsaber duel with Kenobi's famous quips that ended with Kenobi at the business end of Asajj's lightsabers. The Clone Wars looks amazing...on all levels." "The Fetts, Vader, Chewie, Skywalker, John Knoll and Dave Filoni panels were great. Steve Sansweet mc'd most of them. The English to Japanese translation took a little patience and the Celebration Japan fans went wild for Mark Hamill." Mary Franklin "Producing a Celebration in Japan was a unique challenge, because it was the first of the Celebrations in which most of the staff and crew did not speak English, and I do not speak Japanese. Even though we did not share a common language, we shared a common goal: putting on a great experience for Star Wars fans. We carried on together for the best possible outcome." Chris Gereke "The front middle of the Celebration Japan floor was the family recreation area where families could do crafts or Lego and buy toys from the coin vending machine. Beside that was the Jedi training stage where padawans could test their Jedi skills against Darth Vader and two of his Stormtroopers. The stage was lined by the Family Mart vendors where you could purchase food. Especially cool were the Pepsi Bear Kubricks that came with Pepsi."
[gallery link="file" columns="2" size="large" ids="144931,144932"] "From left to right as you looked onto the Celebration Japan convention floor was laid out with the Artist Alley. On the left was artist Matt Busch, Spencer Brinkerhoff III, Randy Martinez, JAKe, Ralph McQuarrie, Tsuneo Sanda, Nagano, Lawrence Noble, Malcolm Tween and Robert Hendrickson." Richard Chasemore "Me drawing with a speeder helmet on!" Chris Gereke "There was a VIP party with the celebs with food, exclusives such as a Tsuneo Sanda print or Ewok hair. The con was adorned with Clone Wars posters and the Sanda Celebration Japan promo posters." [gallery link="file" size="large" ids="144935,144941,144942"] "Official Pix did an extraordinary job with the autographs and VIP actors and guests. Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Amy Allen, Jake Lloyd, Orli Shoshan, Tim Rose, Ray Park, Dave Prowse, Daniel Logan, Temeura Morrison, Mike Edmonds and Matt Wood." "The Celebration Japan store had some cool Star Wars exclusives that should be available on starwarsshop.com soon. Bounty Hunter shirts, bottle caps, Kubrick shadow guard, Marc Ecko Stormtrooper and Boba Fett hoodies. Clone Wars tickets, CJ towels, dolls, McQuarrie print, bear ewok and Kubricks." [gallery link="file" size="large" ids="144937,144938,144939"] "The Dewback Project was an amazing fan favorite. Goro the designer created an amazing likeness to the Dewback from A New Hope, maybe even better. You could ride or have a photo oportunity with the Dewback and or Yumi. And don't forget the cute Celebration Japan Slave Leia." Mary Franklin "There was no doubt in my mind that Star Wars was a cultural phenomenon in Japan, but my biggest concern in planning the programming was getting the mix of entertainment and exhibits just right for the audience. Based on what I have seen from Japan over the years – the different Star Wars collectibles, different Star Wars animation and costumes – the Japanese fans consistently add their own refreshing and unique spin on the saga. As we anticipated the majority of the audience would be Japanese, I really wanted the show to appeal to them. It was important it be a real Star Wars Celebration, but I believed it also specifically needed to be a Japanese celebration of Star Wars." Chris Gereke "In a separate Clone Wars panel with Dave Filoni, Takuechi and Matt Wood they premiered the General Grievous episode from the TV series. The Clone Wars TV opening had a retro World War II newsreel opening and radio era voice instead of an opening crawl. This episode contained Kit Fisto and his clones, which look amazingly cool. They descend on a planet to apprehend Rune Haako. The episode had a cool dark suspenseful feel and a new Mon Cal Jedi Knight Nahdar Vebb who was Kit Fisto's padawan. They descend into a lair only to discover Grievous' pet Roggwart, named Gor. Very cool." [gallery link="file" columns="2" size="large" ids="144944,144943"] "The exhibitor area had Disney Star Tours, the post office where you could purchase customized stamps, model areas, Wii, Lego, Hasbro, Sanyko and photo oportunities with Vader, Artoo and Threepio. Larger than life pachinko and arcade type games were giving Vader postcards with signatures. Watches, JAL Vader and Stormtrooper samurai armor. Kotobuyika, Clone Wars figures, book sellers where Steve Sansweet signed his Vault and Star Wars Poster books which are a must for a Star Wars fan. And make room on the shelf for the Star Wars Encyclopedia." Richard Chasemore "Lawrence Noble giving a prize of a bust he did of Luke! Amazing work and the Japanese girl that won it went mad when she found out!" [gallery link="file" size="large" ids="144945,144946,144947"] Chris Gereke "Star Warriors was a documentary about the 501st and the Rose Bowl Parade starring Lucasfilms Steve Sansweet and Mary Franklin, George Lucas and the different personalities of the 501st."
Mary Franklin "The local fans from the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, and Star Wars collecting and building clubs were a tremendous resource. Not only were they readily willing to share their talents and time and ideas before the show, they took an active part in the show with fan tables, presentations, costumes, and entertainment. They were instrumental in a successful show that was “by the fans; for the fans.” Japanese guests, like The Clone Wars episodic director Atsushi Takeuchi, showcased national talent at the show as well." Chris Gereke "Behind and beside the Artists Alley were the Belgian Props with the Millennium Falcon, Snowspeeder, speeder bike and Jabba. Behind that was the Digital Stage with Rex, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka guarding the entrance. Beside the digital stage was the Vader Helmet project which was amazing." Mary Franklin "For the three days of the show I watched the fans have a great time, and take in every aspect of the programming and entertainment. I hope they felt it was a show created just for them, even while it celebrated the worldwide fandom of the Star Wars saga." Originally posted on Lightsabre.co.uk in 2008. Tell us more about the Dinluke fic? Or something else you working on? *3*
i’m currently beating out the dinluke fic, but the premise is: luke shows up with grogu for tbobf battle and asks to travel with din and grogu, because he realizes that all of his future students will have some degree of attachment, because they will all be much older than they would have if they’d been taken to the jedi temple as infants; and if he can’t teach grogu how to let go of attachments, he won’t be able to teach anyone. (plus luke is insecure about his teaching ability, because he got the jedi speedrun while grogu, a literal baby, knows way more than he does.) so he and din agree to travel together to various old temples and do research on jedi/force traditions while luke teaches grogu, and in return luke teaches din how to wield the darksaber and looks into the history of its creator. oh, and the entire time they’re being hunted down by cad bane and the Mandalorian who mentored din as a child. it’s a fun time.
the other fic i’m working on is a time travel fic where, during the fight on mustafar, darth momin escapes into the world between worlds to escape vader and steals a young maul to mold into his protege so they can stop sidious’ empire from forming, not for noble reasons, but because darth momin is a snooty bitch who thinks the empire sucks ass and sidious took all the artistry out of being an evil dark sider, and he can’t stand that. plus vader was VERY rude to him on mustafar, and for that alone momin is willing to dismantle everything sidious and vader have worked for, because like all art-boys, momin is a petty bastard. unfortunately darth vader also fell back in time, so he’s fucking things up too. it’s a momin and maul-centric fic featuring a lot of padmé.

for the made-up fic title game: Tooka Outta the Bag
send me a made-up fic title and i’ll tell you what i would write to go with it
raisudfah;jsdkf
Ezra and Kanan fall through a Time Hole in the temple on Malachor while Fulcrum is fighting Vader and Maul is doing... whatever the fuck he's doing, IDK, we'll say it's his fault.
And they end up a year before the clone war kicks off! It sucks! Terrible timing, everyone! Kanan is like three seconds away from a mental breakdown about the horrible time this part of his life was about to be at any given moment, or at least he would be if he wasn't busy having a breakdown about how he's just been given a debilitating injury and has no access to bacta or any other way to prevent an infection, because they don't have the ship, just themselves and what they had on their backs.
It's the two of them, with their sabers, and one's at risk of dying if he doesn't get medical attention, because an infection in that kind of wound, that close to the brain? Not great.
So, they... get that handled. IDK how. Hondo, who doesn't know them but does appreciate Ezra's vibes, was involved. Neither of them want to talk about it.
And they kind of get dumped on Coruscant by Hondo and his people, because Ezra really did just make that good of an impression on the prince of pirates, and now it's time to bluff like hell. Kanan can navigate the Temple despite being blind, and it's not just the Force; he definitely grew up here! But nobody in his supposed age group knows him, and Ezra's just kinda. Trailing along. Taking in the sights. Having a time. Sometimes he helps Kanan with reading signs and stuff that Kanan hasn't figured out how to adjust to yet. The Force lets him walking around without hitting walls! It doesn't let him read a datapad, and he hasn't internalized how to turn on the accessibility features yet.
(I want to say that he does use a white cane or similar assistive device for daily stuff, because relying entirely and constantly on the Force sounds exhausting.)
ANYWAY
They don't come out and say they're from the future. Kanan's still half-convinced this is some Empire illusion to get information out of them, and Ezra doesn't trust that easy. So they lie, and hedge, and dither. Kanan feels tiny Caleb Dume walking around, and also Depa's right there, and he tries not to have a mental breakdown.
(Anakin Skywalker nearly gets into a fistfight with Ezra within ten minutes of meeting him.)
(An additional three hours later, and Padawan Skywalker has decided that Ezra's little-brother-shaped.)
(Ezra, who recently learned that Anakin Skywalker is Darth Vader, has very mixed feelings on this.)
So we have some plot happen, and assurances from vague force gods and magic owls and giant ethereal wolves that this is, in fact, time travel.
(Fulcrum might be leading Vader on a merry chase around the Outer Rim. Haven't decided.)
And then someone says a thing and it is suddenly and uncomfortably clear to, like, an entire cafeteria's worth of Jedi that these two are from The Future, and the future absolutely sucks.
Ezra, under his breath, just mutters, "Well, Tooka's Outta the Bag now..."

Summary: I wanted to make a character select screen for a Star Wars fighting game.
- - - - - -
Despite melee duels being a central part of the franchise & many SW games produced over the years, I don't think there has ever been a SW game built from the ground up as a fighting game. Any I do see it in a game, it's just a side, multiplayer mode to action adventure games. It's never the main focus of the game.
While I'm not much of a fighting game guy, I still enjoy the aesthetic of most fighting games. Large rosters of characters battling it out, sick animations, cool & interesting interactions in the intros & outros & kickass soundtracks. I want all that for the Star Wars franchise. Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Guilty Gear, Injustice, DB Fighter Z, Soulcalibur (which actually had SW characters at one point) & to a lesser extent, Smash Bros. I want a Star Wars Fighter that fully emulate these games & more.
Which bring us to this piece. Back in December, I got an idea to make a character select screen for a hypothetical Star Wars fighter. In January, I formally got started on it. As far as character selection, I wanted to a melee focus roster. They can use guns in a few combos or as specials, but I want them to rely melee weapons. That's why there's not Han or Captain Rex. Also, I'm only one guy, so I stuck with 20.
Now, this took a little long because there was originally more to this piece that I wanted to do. After a while though, I realized I bite off more than I can chew (actually, I could have done it, just would have taken MUCH longer & the quality wasn't there), so I trimmed the fat.
And finally, here we are. Enjoy the concept. Use it however you went for your own ideas...or powerscaing rants.........or Rey rants. BTW the Star icon is meant to be for custom characters. I think it's cool to make your own OC in a fighting game.

Hey friends! Here’s a masterlist of my fics. You can find most of my stuff on ao3 also, but there are a couple I’ve posted just to tumblr that are included here too. Most of it is gen fic featuring Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka, and cast, and a good chunk is hurt/comfort.
Thanks for all the love you give my writing! <3

10 LEGO Set Ideas
Okay I have multiple ideas for new LEGO Star Wars sets especially with all the content coming out in the next couple years, so here we go!
1: The Mantis
This ship would be perfect for introducing Jedi Fallen Order Minifigures into rotation, especially with the announcement of Jedi:Survivor. A lift-able top looks totally doable and that back wing could certainly be used well as a handle.
2: Third Sister Duel
A great way to introduce Mega-Figures other than the Wampa into LEGO Star Wars and could possibly imitate the likes of Vader vs Kenobi’s latest duel set, with unique play features to put them up against each other.
3: LEGO Mossy AT-AT
Another great JFO piece could be this, a take on the AT-AT without being an exact copy of the last two. It could be like the Rebels AT-TE where it’s like the past few, but stands apart. They could even introduce some great figures like Saw Gerrara and a purge trooper!
4: Black X-Wing
Moving on to the Andor section, we have the Black X-Wing, which I think should be fairly easy for LEGO, just a reskin of the old X-Wing and add this new interesting looking character and some metal crates and they’re all set!
5: Luthen’s Rebel Starfighter
This is a new and interesting ship which I think LEGO could do very well, with its unique shape, interesting gun mechanics, and opening exit. This could be really cool and unique, if done right. Not to mention they could make new minifigures like that droid we see in the trailer
6: Cantwell Class Star-Destroyer
This could make for a great $160 set for Andor if LEGO needs the money and would be a great pairing with Luthen’s Starfighter.
7: T-47 Airspeeder
A classic that can be reconfigured and re-tooled. Would love to see some spring-loaded missiles for better playability.
8: Mon Cala Cruiser
Since next year is gonna be the 40 year anniversary of Return of the Jedi, this could be a great reward and be comparable to the likes of the UCS Star Destroyer. It could include fan favorite characters like Admiral Ackbar, Mon Mothma, and Nien Nubb, ofc with RotJ Lando Calrissian.
9: Ahsoka and Rex Order 66 Escape
This one would be great for many reasons. For one, Ahsoka as a character has experienced a surge in popularity both from the fandom and from the franchise, so this would be a guaranteed sell for anyone who doesn’t have her from the 2 previous sets that contained her. Secondly, this would be a great place to include Jesse and Rex figures, that many classic Clone Wars fans would enjoy
10: Theed Palace
This would be great for fans of the prequels. The LEGO STAR WARS:The Skywalker Saga video game has already done a lot of the heavy lifting for designers, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be Minifigure Scale, but birthplace of many great Star Wars moments would also be a great place to include: Nute Gunray, Young Padme, Captain Pannaca, Qui-Gon Jinn, Young Obi-Wan, Darth Maul, and maybe two or three Battle Droids and Royal Guards. It’s the one piece of the Phantom Menace LEGO hasn’t done to death already and I feel like it would be a good change of pace for people who are sick of ships and speeders and wants something more like the Mos Eisley set.

into the margarita!verse
For those of you who have seen and remember this comic I made a month ago, it’s official: the margarita!verse now has fic, and a whole collection on AO3.
Since the starting plot gave Much Thots to different authors, this isn’t just an AU, but the starting point of a series of universes that all spawn from the idea that after Order 66, Rex takes a long overdue vacation and ends up traveling with Boba while his very concerned friend (Ahsoka), his angry ex (Maul) and his scary ex-boss (Vader) all look for him. This is meant to be a Masterpost gathering all the fics and different universes created for the Margarita Multiverse.
616!Margarita verse
The starting point, the “normal” verse, where everything is awful because Order 66 happened and the Empire sucks, but also... some characters have it better than others, so... yay?
the pain in our veins is hereditary - Rated M for violence and adult themes, mostly.
Darth Vader has a job for Boba: track down a rogue clone, capture him and deliver him. Alive and unharmed, the Sith Lord insisted. Boba knows it won't be easy. He doesn't expect it to be this hard.
aka Boba and Rex’s first meeting.
__________________________________
good morning, captain - Rated T.
The captain is not a morning person.
set before the pain in our veins is hereditary, featuring curious cat!Maul and Rex’s strange morning routine.

Hi! What comics would you recommend to a fresh fan? I just didn't finish Rebels yet but I caught up with The Mandolorian in term of chronology. I'd love to read more about the characters (like TCW helped with personalities) and just, see them again 😂 What are your favourite comics? (Hope it all makes sense)
uhhh so i'm not the biggest comic reader (off the top of my head, rebelsofshield and gffa are both far more knowledgeable about them than me), but I can at least talk a bit about the ones I've really liked reading so far!
Kanan: The Last Padawan (2015) by Greg Weisman
TRULY excellent, this is the comic run that had me frothing in a rage yesterday. Highly recommend if you like Rebels, and I don't believe it has any spoilers since the present-day parts are set in early on. Gives so much insight into Kanan, as well as Depa, clone characters, and Jedi life, and you will just fall in love with them all (and get your heart broken).
Darth Vader (2017) by Charles Soule
I think this is probably one of the most popular/well-liked comic runs put out in sw, and deservedly so. A fantastic comic if you want to dive into young Vader's psyche as he struggles with his new identity as a Sith following the events of ROTS. Lots of great references to the prequels and TCW, and has some really interesting Force lore. GORGEOUS art.
Slaves of Zygerria (issues #1-6) of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) by Henry Gilroy
This is the original comic that the tcw season 4 zygerria arc is adapted from! It’s def worth reading because there some interesting differences—some bad, some good. I like it because it goes more in-depth into the issues of slavery and the main cast’s reaction to it compared to the show. The art is subpar though, especially compared to the two I already suggested.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Defenders of the Lost Temple (2013) by Justin Aclin
An underrated one-off issue featuring a rather unique and self-contained clone-centric story. Great if you like clones, and its ending is one of my favorites. Though same as above, the art isn’t the best.
If you want more TCW, the Son of Dathomir comic is a canon adaptation of a planned Maul arc prior to TCW’s cancellation. Maul makes a reference to it in season 7.
I also recommend checking out this list made by gffa—several are on my to-read list!
And just my advice as someone who isn’t that into the comics—start off with what characters/era you like, and go from there! Like, I’m obviously obsessed with anakin and ahsoka so I’ve literally hunted down every single comic, good and bad, with the two of them. I’m also planning to read the KOTOR comics because I really like the KOTOR games. But I genuinely have next to no idea about any comics set in the OT/ST era because it’s just not my primary interest, y’know? And I think that approach has made getting into the comics feel a lot less intimidating.

Revealed: The plans George Lucas had for his own 'Star Wars' sequel trilogy
-
Ben Arnold Contributor Yahoo Movies UK | November 11, 2020
*edited (2nd and 3rd paragraph) because the author (Ben Dover Arnold) clearly is a dumb corporate shill.
--------------------------------------------------------
Star Wars creator George Lucas had his own ideas how he would wrap up a further trilogy in the galactic space opera he began in 1977 with A New Hope.
Though he went back to the beginning of Anakin Skywalker's story, and how he would become Darth Vader, in his divisive* prequel movies, the director also plotted a post-Return of the Jedi saga too.
However, it would never be made, and for better or worse, J.J. Abrams and Rian Johnson filled in that gap instead with the [divisive]* sequel series which concluded with last year’s The Rise of Skywalker.
Now, thanks to a 600-page new book, The Star Wars Archives 1999-2005, featuring interviews with Lucas and covering the period of the prequel movies, he's revealed those plans for the first time.
Lucas says that a resurrected Darth Maul, introduced in the first of the sequel movies, The Phantom Menace, would have been central to the action, with Princess Leia being the 'chosen one' to rebuild and command the new Republic.
“The movies are about how Leia – I mean, who else is going to be the leader? – is trying to rebuild the Republic… Luke is trying to restart the Jedi,” says Lucas.
Maul, meanwhile, trains a protege to fill the power vacuum in the Empire, following the death of both Vader and the Emperor in Return of the Jedi.
“Darth Maul trained a girl, Darth Talon, who was in the comic books, as his apprentice. She was the new Darth Vader and most of the action was with her. So these were the two main villains of the trilogy,” Lucas said. “Maul eventually becomes the godfather of crime in the universe because, as the Empire falls, he takes over.”
Lucas also reveals that it was his family life which eventually forced him to reassess whether he would embark on three more movies.
“At that time I was starting the next trilogy; I talked to the actors and I was starting to gear up. I was also about to have a daughter… it takes 10 years to make a trilogy… I’d still be working on Episode 9! … Finally, I’d decided I’d rather raise my daughter and enjoy life for a while,” he says.
The book, published by Taschen, is a companion to the equally substantial The Star Wars Archives: 1977-1983, which was released in 2018.
The new book, penned by Paul Duncan, is available now, priced at £150.
____________________
RPTV comment: Bringing back Darth Maul was an incredibly stupid Idea. I like George Lucas but that was a bad move by Lucasfilm. How is it that Qui Gon Jinn can die by a single stab, but Darth Maul can live even after being cut in half?! (a way more serious injury, more fatal than a stab). And who would have saved him? Even if he didn't die right away after being cut in half, he would have died of his injuries before anyone could come to his rescue. Somebody would have needed to be waiting for him at the bottom of that shaft (why?), yet nobody knew he was there except for Obi Wan (and Obi Wan sure as hell was not going to save the guy who murdered his master). It makes absolutely no sense that Darth Maul would survive (even if he hadn't fallen down that shaft).
If you as a film maker really like a character then don't kill him off.
