Hello! Me again! I wanted to ask, after the discussion of Nabu killing Duman, what do you think would have happened if Nabu hadn’t killed Duman? If he’d listened when Duman begged for his life? (Other than the fandom rejoicing, evidently.) Do you think he’d have cured him? And what would they have done about the other wizards’ plan?

Rejoice is a big word when we put it in a sentence/context with fandom and Duman, but yes let's be nice and generous this time

Tbh I'm not sure the spell could still have been stopped at the time Duman was begging? Mans was snapped halfway through a sentence. In certain dubs. So cutting it a little close there ngl- BUT assuming Nabu really could just call it back like that, and actually does? Hhhmmm that might be an awkward conversation, if this is the 'plan is real' timeline. Best case scenario, yes he does cure him. Well he says he will. After dealing with the other wizards. We know that gets him killed but ssshh.

Just doubt that after getting so close to killing Duman he'd go out of his way to cure him first while knowing there's an urgency in helping the Winx, but I also doubt he'd spare him just to let him die by himself- He can pull a "I'll be back." and lock him away somewhere though, maybe. As a compromise.

Sounds like this altered turn of events would still end with 2 dead wizards, if Nabu dies closing the portal and Duman does of "natural causes" (the problems with his magic), but nuh uh!!

See, now the specialists have a secret weapon! Little something called "Actually we have Duman locked up rn and if you don't let dead Nabu have that gift you just yoinked, Duman is gonna die too." If we're gonna give Ogron specifically that much credit (I am) it'd change the situation just a bit.

Here’s Part 2 of some ideas I’m doodled for my Winx rewrite

Last post seemed to do better than I expected and I’m glad a few people enjoyed it. So here are some more things I want to work with.

I like Artu and Roxy’s relationship but I would have also liked some backstory on them and more depth. Like Gantlos said “it’s just a dog”. How did Roxy get Artu? Is he adopted or bought? Is there a reason he doesn’t like anyone outside of Roxy and Klaus?

In my rewrite, yes. Abandoned as a puppy, a kid Roxy took him in after her mother left her dad unexpectedly. She basically raised Artu and he means a lot to her, but she never socialised him since she herself isn’t social with people (so while Artu may tolerate someone’s prescence he doesn’t like being touched or seen upclose). Roxy raising Artu is also why she gets pissed and earns her fairy form but doesn’t want the fairy gig since it ended up hurting her dog, because as a fairy the wizards are after her and Gantlos hurt Artu.

Ok in all honestly I like his apathy to animals and the Winx in general, but that also applies to the other wizards to some extent. At least you can say something about the other wizards; Orgon’s voice is top tier, Duman has really cool powers and design, Anagan’s banter with Flora’s entertaining. This one’s technically a headcannon I made cannon in the rewrite. I did my research btw.

Gantlos has a pretty intense fear of deers also called Elafiphobia, even asking Duman to not shapeshift into one. It’s pretty bad, seeing a deer gets him pretty close to a panic attack. I’m not going to spoil why but I’ll say it’s a consequence of the Great Fairy Hunt. In fact all the Wizards despite being the cause have been affected by the fairy hunt, either overall or because of a major event. Gantlos’ deer phobia is also why he doesn’t like/care about animals initially, I mean, why should he like them? Just cause they’re cute? Hah!

Apart from Riven and Musa I hate the melodrama in season 4 it’s so shit. Since in my version Sky isn’t in the story cause king stuff, Mitzi is narratively cremated and Nabu doesn’t die, on top of planning to expand on Anagan and Flora’s relationship as rivals and Anagan “flirting” with her, it’d be weird for Helia to be like “eh”. Like even if Flora can hold her own I think he’d at least be a little concerned and annoyed at Anagan.

So yeah, Helia’s conflict is having a case of Impostor syndrome because Anagan’s a foil to him; confident, extroverted, confrontational, and actually bounces off of Flora really well. (Like, I don’t ship Anagan and Flora but the people who do I don’t blame them, it sounds more interesting) Even if Flora doesn’t reciprocate Anagan’s feelings, Helia feels inadequate and is anxious Flora will lose interest and might even break up with him since he’s the anti-social poet of the group. Timmy could even help after his confidence arc in Season 2. He’s not overprotective of Flora like wanting to fight Anagan since it kinda goes against his pacifism but the narrative doesn’t care about that as much as I do :/

And lastly I think it’s be neat if we saw a more fleshed out dynamic between the Wizards, the best I can think of is when they’re protected by Syllia and Duman almost slips their plan to which Anagan says he’s being whoosy, Orgon complains about being protected by fairies while Gantlos is fine with it.

A lot of the rewrite is focused on fleshing out the wizards because I want complex villains grr, and they’re perfect for it. The Earth Fairies? They’re good but they’re dead in my rewrite soooo-

I like to think Orgon is pretty manipulative of them. Was he always like this? No, but he’s desperate to secure the disappearance of magic from Earth, and his manipulation gets worse and worse as the episodes go on, in the end being threats and guilt-tripping. He still cares but mostly how the wizards can be of service to the Black Circle. And yes Duman is his favorite because he has the best powers. Shapeshifting will always be OP and the best power in my heart.

Anyway that’s all folks. If I make a part 3 it’ll probs cover some other stuff like Jason Queen, which I like his character, it’s perfect for Musa’s development (until they made Bloom the fucking main singer like WHYYY) or perhaps talk about Klaus or Morgana, Tecna and Timmy and more about Nabu. Anyway I’ll go watch some more nostalgic minecraft videos and webtoon rants. See ya!

How do the wizards cope with nightmares? Do they ever need extra comfort from the others?

Ooh, great question! I’ve actually written fics for Ogron and Duman having nightmares, so I’m prepared for this.

Ogron: Tries to pretend he doesn’t have nightmares. After most bad dreams, he just stays up, even if it’s one in the morning. He doesn’t tell the others, and he just plays it off. If he’s particularly shaken, he’s really jumpy all night, and most of the next day. However, he’s also prone to really, really bad dreams, the kinda that have him shouting and screaming in his sleep, thrashing and struggling, and those bring his friends running. When they manage to wake him up, he doesn’t know where he is for a good few minutes, and he tends to fight back, but his friends have to hold on, because he freaks out even worse if they leave him on his own. Once he calms down, he tries to get everyone to go back to sleep and he says he’ll just stay up, but nobody buys that, so if Ogron won’t go back to sleep, everyone just camps out in his room in a wizard sleepover, talking and relaxing him until he finally falls asleep, usually on one of them. If he’s having really bad nightmares over a period of a week or so, he starts trying to avoid sleep, so one of his friends has to start making sure he rests.

Gantlos: Says he doesn’t get nightmares. This is a lie, he does. They aren’t frequent, and they never wake him up screaming, but he has woken up crying before. He tries to stay quiet, and if he’s alone, he just sits up for a while, takes some deep breaths, reminds himself it wasn’t real, and goes back to sleep. Sometimes he’ll get up and go for a walk, really bad nightmares warrant an hour or so of assaulting a punching bag, or the wall in a pinch. Then once the tension has been worked out, he goes back to bed and tries to get some sleep. If he’s sleeping in bed with Duman, Duman hears the sounds of his nightmares, and, if Gantlos stays asleep, he cuddles him close and whispers reassuringly and strokes his hair until Gantlos calms down and sleeps peacefully. If Gantlos wakes up, Duman just silently puts an arm around him, because he knows Gantlos doesn’t want to talk about it, and he strokes Gantlos’s hair and they snuggle until Gantlos falls asleep again.

Anagan: Actually doesn’t get that many nightmares. But when he does, he always gets out of his room. He’s pretty claustrophobic, so he likes to get somewhere more spacious, and usually he’ll go outside and go for a run until he’s cleared his head (and crossed a good few states.) Also tends to get a nighttime snack to help him calm down. Or, if it’s after four, he goes to find Ogron, who’s almost always awake in his room, and he just knocks, Ogron lets him in, doesn’t ask questions, he just lets Anagan settle back in in his bed and acts as a reassuring presence while he reads as quietly as possible, and Anagan feels safe and goes back to sleep.

Duman: Gets really, really frequent, really bad nightmares. He grew up alone, living on the streets, because he was abandoned, and people treated him really badly because he could shapeshift, so he gets a lot of nightmares about that. He generally doesn’t want to sleep alone; he wants Gantlos, but having Ogron or Anagan there will do. If he’s sleeping with Gantlos, he wakes up gasping and freaked out, and immediately latches onto Gantlos. Gantlos wakes up and knows what’s happened from the way Duman’s holding on, so he just holds him and starts talking, because conversation calms Duman down. Conversation about anything. Seriously, anything. If Gantlos isn’t there, Duman immediately goes to look for him, and he goes back to sleep with him. He sometimes turns into a cat and curls up on Gantlos’s chest. He has a very comfy boyfriend. Also, he’s always extra hungry the morning after a bad nightmare. It’s either that he’s remembering when he was young and hungry, or it’s the adrenaline. That, or he had a nightmare so he can play that card to get an extra helping. Nobody knows.

@emsartwork @drops-of-moonlights since you two are some of biggest inspirations for this I'm tagging you so you can look at this if you want. If you want to ignore me you can. I'm very sorry for being pushy and wanting you guys to see this. If you two want me to stop I will.

So long story short my mom got a new iPad and gave me the old one. So I redownloaded procreate to do some art that wouldn't be impeded by a horrible camera quality.

I'm going to do art of all of the Gardenia Gang but I got Levina's done first.

I dont know how to make her sparkly or how to make the image transparent yet I'm sorry about that so yeah.

This is her Basic transformation which I have dubbed Basix.

Since Basix wings are so small, she isn't a real stable flyer due to her center of gravity being off due to being short part of an arm.

Later transformations with larger wings are better for her flight-wise. She's able to balance better with larger wings.

She learns how to free run and parkour in order to keep up with the rest of the Gardenia gang since she's the fastest of all of them since lightning is very quick.

her transformation is supposed to be like a tracksuit or jumper being streamlined for easier movement and so it won't get caught on much. She has shoes that are good for running and a glove that would protect her hand from magical backlash and helps her grip things better.

Here's more about Levina, her friends call her Levi or Vina.

Since I'm placing bloom at 18 at the start of season one Levina is 8 years younger than her being 10 at the time. She's still ten when the Trix arrive in gardenia to steal Bloom's dragon flame and is traumatized by being dropped down the portal to the omega dimension the Trix summoned in their floor and dropped Mike, Vanessa, and Levina down in order to tire Bloom out. It's left her with a really bad fear of heights.

She was 14 when the whole snafu with the Wizards of the black circle happened. For context when she lost her arm she was hanging out with Mike at the fire station on a Saturday, it had rained heavily the night before so there were puddles of rainwater everywhere. Levina had started to show interest in being a firefighter at the time and Mike decided to show her around the station and tell her how things worked around the station. She was standing in a puddle in galoshes looking at and holding onto a metal structure the firefighters used to practice when Anagan redirected one of Tecna's spells into a transformer causing the transformer to overload and explode and release a lot of bolts of electricity/magic. One of these bolts struck Levina in the left shoulder. Electricity follows the path of least resistance and as she was standing in a puddle in rubber galoshes while holding onto a metal structure that was bolted to the ground all of the electricity went out of her arm.

Her arm was severely damaged, from the electrical burns to muscle and nerve damage from the electricity along with micro fractures from the heat of the energy coursing from her arm, the worst places were her shoulder and hand, being the entry and exit points respectively. Her arm was amputated above the elbow and she lost a lot of feeling in the stump and lost mobility in her left shoulder. she has a Lichtenberg figure on the back of her left shoulder and down her stump. She gained a fear of sudden sound noises after that incident.

Timeline wise this occurs offscreen between 16 and 17 of season 4 as a frame of reference. Levina spends the rest of season 4 in the hospital before being released around the timeframe of episode 6 of season 5.

Because the winx left earth around this time Morgana takes over the love and pet shop keeping the shop up and running. A few minor fairies from Tir Na Nog also work there as a way to slowly re-integrate magic to earth as abrupt shifts in the balance of magic on Earth can be lethal an example being Duman.

She tens to short out electronics and cause power outages when distressed or angry so she writes most everything down by hand.

Ok, so I’m going to just take a moment to introduce my main F/O and explain why I love him so much. This will be a long post so be ready.

This is Gantlos

He is from an Italian cartoon called Winx Club, which got English dubbed and eventually aired on Nickelodeon later on. The cartoon is about a group of six girls that call themselves the Winx and are fairies. They have magical transformations, gain new forms and powers every season and fight seasonal villains. Gantlos is one of those villains. From the fourth season. He is part of the group called the Wizards of the Black Circle. The other three members are Ogron (the leader) Anagan and Duman. (I really like the other three as well, I have them as platonic F/Os). They are 4 ancient wizards from Earth that went to war with the Earth fairies. They imprisoned all the fairies a long time ago, bu there is still one fairy left that they haven’t gotten yet. The goal of the season is for the Winx to stop them from capturing her, free the imprisoned Earth Fairies, and fully stop their plans.

Anyways now that I’ve explained the background let me explain why I love him so much.

1. He’s pretty as heck. Yeah, yeah I know it’s a bit superficial and basic but it is one of the things I love about him. His entire outfit is amazing. I love the gothic style. I also love his hat. He has long black boots, and I have a really big weakness for long black boots for some reason. His hair is also pretty and also looks super fluffy. I also have a thing for CARTOON/DRAWN (Keywords: Cartoon/drawn. I don’t have a thing for this with real people) older men. I love all of those things on their own and combines is just PERFECTION. (Also there is a brief flash back reel in one of the episodes where he and the other wizards are seen in medieval style armor. He’s only wearing it for 2 images, but he looks AMAZING in it)

2. He’s a cool villain. I have a weakness for villains. Always have and always will. Especially when they’re done good and also if they have some redeemable qualities (which this guy has a pretty good one which I’ll get into later). He’s also a powerful villain, being able to fight so many powerful fairies.

3. His powers are cool. Another mild point but nonetheless felt I should point it out. He has basic dark magic powers. But his main power is the use of seismic/sound waves that come out of his hands and feet. He can shoot sound waves from his hands by clapping which causes tons of destruction to the area around it. He can also cause seismic waves by stomping on/punching the ground and causing a mini earthquake. I just find these powers very neat. He also seems to have telepathic abilities, but it’s only touched on like three times? He used these powers to track one of the main characters when she was running from them, used them to make sure the same character was alone at a different point, and sent a mental distress signal to his friends. These powers aren’t touched on that much but I still find them neat.

4. Remember that redeeming quality I mentioned? Here’s where it comes into play. Despite doing horrible things, he is shown on several occasions to genuinely care about his friends. This is actually a theme with all of them, they all seem to care about each other. But Gantlos has the most examples in universe. He’s the one always coming in to save the others, and seen caring for them. He’s like team dad. He saved Anagan from falling, when they were running for their lives, which cost him time but he took the time to save his friend anyways. He also showed care for him when he warned him to be careful. Duman got severely ill at one point, but Gantlos carried him around almost the entire time he was sick, and also showed genuine emotion and concern when he was in pain. He also saved Ogron’s life. When Ogron was pushed onto the train tracks just as an oncoming train was approaching Gantlos JUMPED IN FRONT OF THE TRAIN to save him. It was also made abundantly clear that this was not easy on him and put him through great stress, but he did it anyways to help save his friend, then he helped carry him after that.

5. Then there’s his personality. And I see heavy compatibility of me and him. Of course he is shown to be cruel, as he is a villain. He is seen as the trigger happy, angry one of the group that has a temper. He also gets villainously smug, when something is going him and the groups way, or if he’s having fun fighting. I always love seeing his smug faces. But, as we see him be kind and protective of his friends we see him with a softer side. His personality gives me the vibe of someone that is cruel and easy to anger to the world around him, but to those he’s close too he’s really soft, caring and protective. He also gives me mega tsundere vibes. I feel like even though he’s cruel, if you and him get along you could actually get close to him and he could start to genuinely care for you. I find this very similar to myself, although more extreme. I don’t become close to people easily, it takes a lot for me to get close to and start to care for someone, I don’t have too many people in my life that I find I care about. I only have a few people IRL and I do have a few people online (looking at my discord folks). But those I care about I care about really strongly. I feel like we both have a tough outer shell, and we both hide our emotions because we’re afraid to show them and be honest, very few people can get through our shell, but those that do mean a lot to us, so I feel connected to him in that way. He also gives me major introvert vibes but I don’t exactly know why? Maybe it’s because he’s shown to be less extrovert like then his friends? But he gives me the vibe of someone who doesn’t really like to go out too much and also isn’t good at socializing and communicating (IDK why TBH there isn’t a lot of evidence for this in canon, but we don’t know too much about him so I can headcanon what I want according to vibes he gives me) which I can relate with. I also am an introvert that doesn’t like to go out and am also bad at and hate socializing and communicating, unless it’s someone I know and like. I can imagine us staying home and relaxing together while all our friends go out and do things. I also hate confrontation, or rather confronting someone myself. Meanwhile Gantlos is very confrontational. So if we ran into an issue with someone he could do the confrontation stuff, and probably be very fine with it. He also just seems like the protective type, which I love.

6. I don’t really know if this counts as a reason to love him, but just something neat. He’s a character that gives a lot of room for headcanons, since we don’t know much about his past. We know the ‘what’ he does and ‘how’ he does it. But we don’t know ‘why’ he does it. The best thing we’re given is generic “get more power, take over the world” stuff. We know that him and his friends attacked and imprisoned the Earth fairies, but not much about it. We’re basically told that one day him and his friends just showed up out of the blue and started wreaking havoc and that’s it. Nothing about his backstory and why he does this. Which leaves plenty of room for theories and headcanons.

7. This one scene in episode 7 of the fourth season where in the Rai/Cinelume version of the English dub (there are multiple English dubs) he says “If you wanted to be alone with me all you had to do was ask” 👀👀👀💗💗💗

8. This moment that has always stuck with me. In episode 6 of the fourth season there is this one scene where the fourth wall is broken. They basically make fun of the whole “villains doing nothing while main characters transform” trope. The main girls start transforming but then it cuts to Ogron (who’s holding Roxy hostage) mocking them and their transformations. To which Gantlos says “I kind of like it”. This evil, grumpy man likes magical girl transformations and that’s honestly the best thing 😂😂😂

9. I remember he was always one of my favorites as I was a kid. So there’s the good old nostalgia factor.

Our First Times: Duman

Another few months passed. Winter turned to spring, and the wizards and I returned to our routine of spending nights camping in forests or by the side of the road.

It was early evening, but we had decided to set up camp already. The spot at the border of a forest, with a nearby stream of fresh, clean water had just seemed to be a good choice. Duman and I were tasked with pitching up the tents, and while I did so, I was suddenly overcome by the unpleasant feeling of being watched. I finished hammering the last tent peg into the ground and got up. Maybe my companions had come back from gathering firewood and getting water from the nearby stream sooner than I expected and had been watching me work. But when I turned around, there was nobody there. I could distantly hear Anagan and Ogron having a cheerful conversation at the stream and Gantlos was still somewhere in the forest, picking up dry sticks and moss for the fire. And Duman… was nowhere to be found.

I bit my lip, looked around nervously and called out:„Duman?“

No answer but for the quiet sound of a twig snapping somewhere between the trees. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up.

Shit. There was… something there, I had no magic, only a small dagger to defend myself with, and the wizards would probably not be here in time to save me if it attacked me.

A pair of red-glowing eyes appeared in the shadows of the undergrowth. My breath hitched in my throat. Time seemed to slow down as that animal, looking like a huge black wolf, leapt at me. Its huge, heavy body collided with mine, knocking the air out of my lungs and throwing me to the ground.

At that point, my survival instincts flared up. I grabbed the dagger from the sheath fastened to my thigh and threw myself around, so I was now on top of the animal, poised to slit its throat. But suddenly it didn‘t seem aggressive anymore. Not at all. It stared at me with wide eyes, it‘s fanged maw wide open in an expression that almost seemed… like it was laughing?

The fangs started retreating back into its jaw, and so did the fur into its skin. The snout became shorter until it was flat and turned into a very familiar hawkish nose. And as soon as Duman had the vocal cords to do it again, he started laughing hysterically.

„Y-you should see your face right now!“

I inhaled sharply. „Not. Funny.“ But my righteous indignation only seemed to amuse him further, causing him to laugh louder. Until I grabbed his shoulders and let myself drop onto him to pin him in place. Then he stopped laughing, his cackling replaced with stunned silence. I realized that this was a very… compromising position, with me holding him down by the shoulders while straddling his hips, but I was too angry to think of the implications.

„So. You thought that it was funny to scare a helpless girl half to death, did you?“

Just a few months ago I wouldn‘t have dreamed to speak to the wizards in that tone.

His surprised expression turned to a smirk. „You don‘t seem so helpless right now. In fact, I believe I am the helpless one right now.“ And he didn‘t seem to mind in the slightest. In fact, there was a gleam in his eyes that I had seen in Ogron‘s and Anagan‘s eyes many times before. And as a few seconds passed, I felt slight movement between my thighs.

„So?“, he asked. „Aren‘t you going to punish me for my little prank?“

I sat up straight. „You know, if you wanted to sleep with me, all you had to do was ask.“

„True, but I had to know if you would be able to be dominant. And just asking you would have been less funny.“

„We‘ll see who gets the last laugh. Ogron has shown me some things I‘m dying to try out on you now.“

Ogron and Anagan were completely okay with me also sleeping with Duman. In fact, when I brought it up that I would spend the night with Duman, Ogron was quick to give me advice on how to be a good dominant. He warned me not to try out anything he hadn‘t tried out on me first, and to always be make sure to keep an eye on how Duman reacted to the things I did. Being too adventurous could very very easily go sideways and leave one or both partners with physical or emotional damage, especially if the dominant was as inexperienced as I was. With that in mind, Duman and I retreated to my tent.

I hugged him from behind once the tent flap was closed, leaving us alone with each other.

„Nervous?“, he asked.

„A little“, I admitted. „Just… tell me to stop if you need to.“

„I‘m not doing this for the first time, Evie.“

„But I am.“ My fingers slid under his belt, loosening it so I could pull the long tunic over his head. „And I don‘t want to hurt you.“

„You won‘t.“ He cupped my face with his hands. „I‘m all yours tonight, little huntress. Make the most of it.“

A smile tugged at the corners of my mouth. „Do you have rope?“

He conjured it up and handed it to me.

„Lay down on the bedroll.“

He did so without hesitation, and allowed me to grab his wrists and tie them together, with the same knot Ogron always used on me. Of course, the tent had no bedpost I could tie them to, but I noticed that someone, presumably Duman, had driven another tent peg into the ground just above the bedroll. I gave him a smirk and leaned over him so I could finish his restraint, not paying any mind to how close my breasts came to his face while doing that. I only realized it when he tugged the lacing of my shirt open with his teeth and pressed his hot lips onto my sternum.

I sat up again. „Now now. Did I allow you to do that?“

He inhaled sharply, and again I felt his member twitch against me. „No, Evie. I‘m sorry, Evie.“

I hummed in vague acknowledgement of his apology. I had to admit I could definitely see why Ogron adored tying me up so much. The look on Duman‘s face, half-closed eyes, cheeks flushed with arousal despite me not even touching him all that much yet, so helpless and eager… it was too good to be true.

I kissed him, then let my lips wander down, over his jaw, his neck with the rapid pulse beating under the soft skin, his shoulders, chest and stomach… the closer I came to the hem of his pants, the faster his breathing became. I dipped my tongue into his belly button, making him gasp, kissed my way along the barrier of fabric separating me from the spot where he really wanted me.

I pulled his pants down, slowly, ever so slowly, with his erection straining against what was keeping it down. Then it jumped free, hitting his stomach with a lewd slap that caused a twitch between my legs.

He did so, taking a long gulp before handing the waterskin to me again. Then I leaned on his chest, languidly tracing the outlines of his muscles.

„Is there anything else you need?“, I mumbled.

He chuckled. „Just you.“

I kissed the scratches I had left on his chest. Soft, gentle caresses meant to soothe and relax. And while I did so, he grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around us.

„I‘d love for this to become a regular thing, you know“, Duman said. „You did great.“

„Sure. Whenever you want.“

Major Villains part 2!! The Wizards of the Black Circle, Valtor(baltor?), and Darkar/The Shadow Pheonix.

again, I changed a lot. I changed the Wizards’ signature color to green because i got SO TIRED of red and black villain color schemes. Also Valtor’s original outfit and hair was like. so bad. dont @ me you know im right.

The Wizards of the Black Circle are earthen born, and really really old, like crypt keeper old, older than Morgana, maybe as old as Faragonda. The reason they still look young is that they’ve retained use of their magic when the rest of the earth hasn’t, and they eat fairy wings. Wings are the outward manifestation of a fairy’s magic and form a sort of battery loop with the fairy’s natural magic production, sustaining and boosting for as long as the transformation is held. When ripped off, the loop is broken unnaturally and severely damages the fairy physically and mentally, usually they can’t transform again for a week to a month. The wings retain a large portion of magic, and by consuming them, the wizards supercharge their abilities and prolong their lives, if they had kept doing this eventually they would become faded like the ancestral witches in my other post, but it would take a while.

Ogron is from early Scotland, he was the one who forged the black circle out of iron. Iron is a notoriously difficult metal to enchant (the specialists ships and weapon bases are made of enchanted iron and are hard to destroy with magic). He practiced for years before successfully storing his magic in the black circle. He was always power hungry and calculated, he knew he wouldn’t be able to conquer the world without help, and began to seek out fellow wizards while spreading anti-fairy sentiments. It took him awhile to find people who were able to use the Circle with him, and went through a couple other Wizards before setting on the three others. He first found Gantlos in the Americas, the Anagan in Africa, and finally Duman in Southeast Asia. They all use the Black Circle as a magic vessel, and begin to actively hunt down fairies and other magic users or creatures. Morgana had only just taken the throne when they started, and as a young ruler, mistakenly believed these four posed no great threat and wouldn’t dare question her rule. However, the Wizards attacked Tir Nan Og and it’s sister island Neverland. They purposefully didn’t fully destroy everything, wanting to keep any magical artifacts intact for their own use, but did strike a serious blow to the benevolent magic users. Fear mongering lead to fewer people pursuing magic in hopes of not becoming a target. One of the Wizards’ only large scale attack was on Tir Nan Og, usually they prefered to lay traps and pick off solitary fairies. Eventually people began to shun magic users in common society, and many fled to the injured Tir Nan Og to avoid being attacked or killed. Morgana and all the fairies on Tir Nan Og placed a barrier around the island, and created the white circles out of glass and moonlight as keys. When the Wizards attacked the island again, they couldn’t break through the barrier with out completely draining the black circle, so instead they returned to their guerilla tactics, and attacked all the fairies bringing other people onto the island for safety. After they believed all the keys to be destroyed, they began to hunt down any fairies that might have escaped, using spells to track and locate sources of fairy magic all over earth. They eventually raised their power levels enough that they were able to surround Tir Nan Og’s barrier with one of their own, trapping the fairies in their own haven. They then spent the rest their time keeping an eye on the any potential magic users, placing more black circles around other sources of magic so it would be directly funneled into their reserves,  and manipulating governments and societies to their own will. They started several wars and were the cause of some natural disasters for the fun of it. Sometimes they take a break from ruling dull stupid humanity and will spend several decades sequestered away on an island or something. They also need break from each other and will go off on their own occasionally. They each have iron gall ink tattoos that keep them connected to the Black Circle.

Fun facts about the wizards because they’re like almost my fav villains. Ogron refuses to say whether his obnoxiously bright hair is dyed or not. Orgon usually prefers kilts, but tbh its hard to get a hold of one now-a-days unless you know how to use the internet. Orgons skirt is a shitty faux leather one from forever 21. Anagan is actually the most popular with the ladies~~ Gantlos is actually the oldest, and is potentially from before the Mayan civilization’s era. Duman is from Thailand and his skirt is technically a Sarung(which i think were used in Thailand but correct me if im wrong). Duman likes to change his hair color every couple years or so. Duman actually convinced Gantlos to dye his hair once but messed up the bleaching spell and oops now Gantlos is permanently blonde(and duman has one less rib) Anagan shaves his head every 20 years. The last time they were all involved in society was the 60s and they’re clothing reflects the mod/punk fashion at that time. Anagan and Duman barely tolerate each other in day to day situation, but their fighting styles actually complement each other pretty well. Ogron is a total narcissist and considers Gantlos the closest thing to an equal in the group. Gantlos spend the most time with duman so long as he’s not being too annoying(duman is basically the obnoxious little brother of all of them lmao)

Valtor isn’t “human” even in a loose sense of the word. He’s more like a homunculi created by the Ancestrals. As such he doesn’t need to eat or drink, tho he can enjoy both. He doesn’t necessarily have a “true form” as he can use his magic to mold and change his body as needed. His heart is a spark of the dragon flame and the shadow flame encased in the ancestrals magic. He was originally intended to be a servant, going out and physically searching for the dragon flame while the witches researched where the dragon could be hiding. He briefly took a young starstruck Ms Griffin on as an apprentice, but it didn’t last very long. After the witches were defeated he was still able to use remnants of their magic leaving him still very powerful, and connecting him to their spirits. He was defeated by Faragonda and the Company of Light, but being a homunculi powered by the dragon and shadow flame he couldn’t really be killed, so was banished to the frozen planet Omega as punishment. Valtor stores and channels his magic through his body, making him a sorcerer instead of a wizard. He resembles Dominians but this is thought to be because of his connection to the dragon flame.

Lord Darkar isn’t an ancient entity, but he does possess one. The Shadow Fire is the ying to the Dragon Fire’s Yang, and originally both were considered neutral, keeping the light and dark in balance. Domino’s royal bloodline passed both the Dragon and the Shadow from one generation to another, but a young prince sought to possess both of the flames and summon the ultimate power. He killed and stole the Shadow Flame from it’s bearer, tainting it with blood and violence. His murder was found out and defeated by the holder of the Dragon Flame, and thrown into the then newly formed Obsidian as an execution. While it was hoped he would die in Obsidian and the Shadow flame would pass to a more worthy bearer, Obsidian turned out to be a pocket dimension instead of a death sentence, and he emerged again, was defeated again, emerged yet again, decided to be a little smarter, and found the Ancestral Witches to do his bidding. However, the witches eventually betrayed him, and sought to possess the Dragon flame for themselves, they created Valtor with sparks of both so he would, hopefully, be protected to both powers. Darkar’s time in Obsidian tied him to the pocket dimension, so every time he’s defeated he gets sent back there lmao. Due to the “equal-opposite” rule, When Obsidian was formed was also when the Relix was created, it holds the only power strong enough(theoretically) to destroy Obsidian in the power crystal, but using it is more than likely to destroy you in the process so it was sealed away with the codex. After the Winx defeat him he’s not destroyed, just sent back to Obsidian. The only way to kill him would be to separate the Shadow Flame from his body, or use the water stars on him.

Hello! I have a headcanon ask; how do you think the wizards are when they’re sick? (As in ‘having a cold’ sick, not ‘complete and total destabilisation of their powers and turning into a bat demon’ sick.)

Wdym "not 'complete destabilisation of their powers and turning into a bat demon' sick"?? 😔😔 that's my favourite type of sick!! Scurvy close second. But FINE, I guess we'll stick to a cold, perhaps a tummy ache if we dare-

Getting Duman out the way right off the hhhnnnggggg bat. I don't think he really gets sick. In a regular sense. The viruses and whatnot just don't really have anything solid to hold onto like that idk. If anything he is the disease, he carries so much shit in there it's unreal. Could probably give someone the worst rash of their life with just a touch if he really wanted to! Or the plague. Again.

Nah but actually!! If we imagine him to be close to something the average person might consider sick for a sec, for him that might be fatigue, general discomfort for whatever reason, things like that- This creature gets so incredibly moody, snaps at anyone and anything, wants to be left alone really bad. Also often experiences a change in appetite as well, so making sure he gets his fuel is a must, even if he's being a total bitch about it. If the change in appetite refers to him being hungrier though? Genuinely good luck with that. Either stock the fuck up or make peace with the fact he's gonna be out. Doing stuff. Where does he leave it all? Idk the void?? Duman’s insides are an abyss of their own, literally don't worry about it.

Gantlos!!!!! Gantlos strikes me as a very "As long as I can stand, I'm fine." *noticeably struggles to stand* "..As long as I can hold my head up-" type of guy. Doesn't get sick a lot, according to himself. But only because things like a common cold get ignored so insanely hard by him, except for the occasional nose blowing and expertly concealed coughs. If it doesn't leave him bedridden, he simply does not acknowledge that he's sick. He's not above popping a few aspirins though, maybe surprisingly? Healing spells are an absolute no though.

He just doesn't enjoy being "in the way" or a "nuisance", so nobody is allowed to take care off him or be bothered by the fact he's not 90% healthy- Except himself. Same applies to injury cases as well btw. It's not because he doesn't like the care itself, necessarily, it really just boils down to "Surely you could be spending this time doing something more important" but nuh uh. Gantlos get a grip smh. Massive hypocrite btw, literally if anyone else is sick he's the first person to get them whatever they need. How absolutely outrageous that anyone would DARE to try and do the same for him right-

Ogron absorbs all the germs. And I'm not fully confident in saying that; unlike with regular damage, it does nothing for his powers. Because imagine!! He sneezes and something just EXPLODES in the background? Now, does it make sense? Maybe not. But something about snobby, confident, put-together Ogron completely losing his grip does something for me. And I would very much like to explore it. Tbh illness affecting the wizards' powers as a whole is so fun to play around with.. The doors Duman has opened.. But rn I'm grabbing Ogron specifically, both because of the reason mentioned above, but again, the damage thing as well kinda. What's an illness if not your immune system taking a couple hits amirite ahaha- "Oh dude! You seem to be taking damage!! Not to worry though, I got ya covered." *proceeds to provide Ogron with enough magical energy to explode things with his eyeballs* ass immune system smh.

Beside the magic thing though? I bet sick Ogron is so incredibly annoying omg. Coughs once and slips into the role of a dying Victorian child. Take him to see the garden. One last time. Like literally just drink your water and take a nap, there's no need for all of that.

Then we once again have Anagan, our saving grace- In like the least boring way possible, he's pretty chill about it all. He doesn't usually stay sick for very long though, so maybe that plays a part. Just takes some rest, eats his fruits, knows his own limits pretty well and all that. Unless the illness sticks around for too long. Like maybe a day over his usual and he starts getting a bit whiny, but offer him any remedies, magical or not, and he'll refuse with a "Nah, it'll be over soon anyway." ??? Stfu then smh JKJK-

In his defense though, it does depend on what illness he's throwing hands with. He handles colds fairly well, but anything that makes any of his muscles start cramping up is his absolute worst enemy. AND STOMACH BUGS, those put him out of commission no matter how long they last fr. Speedster with a more sensitive stomach than usual? Going through a lot of motion? Nobody wants that. Anagan least of all, he despises being nauseous with his whole being. Who doesn't? Relatable king! What he'd really need then is some company. On the other side of the couch. Do NOT touch him. That's when the others can really tell Anagan is feeling under the weather, the noticeable lack of physical contact. Still can't fully distance himself though, he's just a very social individual like that.

I always headcanoned that at night/when no one was looking/when they could, the others would at least *try* to comfort Duman, just because he looked in pain and so scared even. Like Anagan putting his trench coat on him as a blanket to warm him up, or bundling it under his head as a pillow. Or Gantlos holding him in his arms because that would be much more comfortable than laying in that cold stone bed.

Oh, I love those headcanons! I totally agree with you; the other wizards definitely tried to comfort Duman. Great thinking with the Anagan trench coat idea; that’s totally something he’d do. (And something I am now officially headcanoning that he did.) It’s so sweet! And it would definitely make Duman a lot more comfortable, because if Anagan bundled his coat into a pillow then at least Duman’s head would be supported. And Gantlos would definitely hold him; you’re right, that would be way more comfortable than the stone bed. (Not sure how Duman got any sleep on that thing, honestly, beyond the fact he was incredibly ill and unable to remain conscious.) Not to mention that being held would probably be very reassuring for Duman, because everything is hurting and he doesn’t know why, so at least he’d have someone there to make him feel safe and loved.

I think that maybe, overnight, the other wizards would have stayed up in shifts, just sitting with Duman, holding his hand, reassuring him, doing everything they could to try and comfort him. And I think, if he was well enough to be aware of what was happening, Duman would be really grateful to them, and feel a little better having them with him, even if they couldn’t do anything to physically ease his pain.

Also, when Duman was sick, it was definitely his friends taking care of him. The Rustic Fairies were there, and they tried to diagnose what was wrong with him, but his friends looked after him. They’d have made sure he managed to eat, tried to make him comfortable, and tried to reassure him that he was going to be okay, because it must have been terrifying to be Duman; to be in so much pain, and keep getting worse and worse, and have no idea why or what’s happening to you.

I also think it killed them to let Duman go with Nabu. No way would they have wanted to be separated from him when he was so sick, but Nabu said he could cure him, and they had to stand trial. But I think it definitely hurt and terrified them to let Duman go with someone they barely knew.

Wizards of the Black Circle Relaxation Headcanons

Ogron: Reading. Ogron’s ideal relaxation scenario would be a good chunk of time where he has absolutely nothing he has to do, some peace and quiet, and several good books. They can be any kind of books: fiction, magical, history, science. He will become completely absorbed in whatever he’s reading to the extent that he will actually relax, which is an incredibly rare occurrence for him.

Duman: Duman’s relaxation is seldom relaxing for those around him. Sitting still is actually one of the things that stress Duman out the most, and if he is forced to sit quietly somewhere for…well, any length of time at all really, he will snap. Very, very quickly. So Duman’s relaxation tends to involve shapeshifting and going for a run or fly in that form. Possibly messing with some people while he’s at it. (Okay, probably messing with some people while he’s at it.) He’ll move very quickly through different forms, because he finds the freedom of not being constrained by his own skin very relaxing.

The only time Duman relaxes by being still is when he will shift into a cat and sit on Gantlos, repeatedly nudging Gantlos’s hand with his head insisting on strokes and attention. When he receives this, he will enter a relaxed, blissful state and just stay there for hours. Coincidentally, this is actually when Gantlos is at his most relaxed.

Gantlos: Gantlos can only truly relax when he knows where his friends are and that they’re safe. Especially Duman. If Gantlos thinks there’s even the slightest possibility that someone he cares about could be doing something even remotely dangerous, he will not relax.

Gantlos doesn’t so much have an activity that relaxes him as he has a person. Duman is just about the only person who can get Gantlos to get out of his head and relax. He will accomplish this through kisses, goofy jokes, and the aforementioned cat transformation, which will completely relax Gantlos. And Duman gets several hours of attention and stroking. So it’s a win-win.

Anagan: Perhaps rather obviously, Anagan finds running very relaxing. Using his magic to its full potential gives him a rush, and it’s an excellent way to let off some steam. Sometimes Duman will come on one of his runs in animal form, but usually he runs alone. (Largely because there’s only so much Duman’s cheetah form can do. Also because Duman is far too easily distracted and will hold up the run investigating some random thing he’s seen).

Conversely, Anagan is also a fan of meditation. He spends so much time running from place to place to place to place to place (you get the idea) that sometimes he really just needs to stop and breathe for a while, and focus on the present and the still. (This is not an activity Duman is on board with. He tried meditation once; he gave up five seconds in.)
