Hello! I noticed you said youâre opening requests. If youâre not too busy, may I please request a Kylo Ren x female reader fluff/smut? Maybe they havenât seen eachother in a while and have missed eachother? Itâs not very original, haha. Thank you for reading this!
Feels Like Ages â Kylo Ren Ă Female!Reader
you're welcome anon! now, just be mindful i tend to make aggressive characters/villains soft for their s/o so, kylo is DEFINITELY ooc & if you or anyone else in the fandom doesn't like it, i apologize. this is also pretty short, but anyway, here you go & i hope you enjoy!
Warnings: fluffy mild smut and kylo, mosty making out, so there isn't much smut, i apologize, the use of Ben like once or twice, reader and kylo were in a relationship in the past and never actually ended it
You paced back and forth, waiting the arrival of their leader. You heard of the First Order and knew their leader, Kylo Ren, was ruthless. He was apparently known for letting his anger get to him that he'd destroy anything that was near him.
However, when he entered the cell, he froze. "Why are you here?" With his mask on, you didn't know who it was, so you gave him an answer you figured he'd be okay with. "Your people captured me. Said I would be a good edition to the First Order or something like that." He nodded slowly. "What's with the mask though?" He chuckled. "Still the same old (Y/N), aren't you?" You raised an eyebrow at his question.
"How do you know my name?" He clicked the side of his mask, watching as it opened. Once he took it off, you gasped and he gave you a small smirk. "Ben?" He sighed. "It's Kylo, now." You walked over to him and rested a hand on his face. "Sure, but you will always be Ben to me." He sighed and touched your hand that was on his face. "You know, you've been on my mind for as long as I can remember." You smile. "I could say the same to you." He let the mask slip out of his hand and when it hit the floor, you jumped slightly.
"We never actually ended the relationship, did we?" You shook your head. "I haven't been with anyone either." He chuckled before nodding. "Me either." You couldn't hold yourself back anymore when you kissed him. He rested his hands on your waist and pulled you closer to him, kissing you back. You felt his tongue run across your bottom lip and you gasped when one hand gripped your thigh, moving it towards his hip. You jump and wrap your legs around him, not breaking this kiss.
He pressed your back against the wall and you moan softly. He groaned and broke the kiss for a second to catch his breath. "I missed you, beautiful." You ran your fingers through his hair and tried calming down your breathing. "I missed you too, handsome." You looked down at his clothes and smirk. "You look good in black by the way." He snickers. "You're in for a surprise if that's the case, baby."

Reylo confession time (permission to skin me alive) but don't keep reading if you love TLJ: I actually find TLJ not an overall particularly... great? amazing? completely watchable film?, and whilst I think its guiding ethos was actually pretty sound (death which brings new life) and its online reaction overblown - to my own personal tastes, I don't like a lot of it. I enjoy when the Force and Resistance plotlines intersect but I find the latter extremely tedious. (I enjoy Rose, and Paige's last stand at the beginning of the film). I get that it goes back to the OT and its original dogfighting, war film influences, but I really do not overall enjoy the plot of 'rebelling against the evil empire' blah blah, and it's particularly bad in the ST since TLJ is saddled with rehashing the exact same conflict as the OT which the first Sequel Trilogy film sets up and forces us to sit through.
There's a foundational issue with it as a consequence of TFA and I don't buy into it and I find it very hard to care about because Bowser will come back in the Sequel Sequel Trilogy, presumably, and it's less mythic more than it is like, the same shit all over again.
I think there's also the issue in that Kylo Ren can't replicate the connective tissue between the Force and Resistance plotlines the way Darth Vader does, because he's not in the same position of authority (Hux wields a lot of that) and because he's so obviously the Prodigial Son/Cursed Prince. The only bit that really works for me is the scene with Luke at the end, and that's really where I think the two plotlines work together for something actually greater than its parts.
In this sense, Kylo Ren having less authority and more evident narrative sympathy from Day 1 with Driver's performance makes the story overall suffer (in terms of a retread of the OT), because it's trying to retread the OT and moving around parts which can't be moved around. This isn't a TLJ problem per se, this is a ST problem, and I think that's why TLJ takes such a specific and personal focus on Kylo Ren with the Force Bond storyline. It adds something new, it justifies why the ST exists, because it's not just Vader redone - and one can dispute the Anidala redemption of the relationship all one likes, but I think that Reylo is justified on the grounds that it's new and it works with the role Kylo Ren has been given (and Rey, as the outsider).
But that's why I don't find it interesting once Rey turns to the Resistance plotline at the very end because I don't have very much emotional investment in it, and I get it - it's often justified on the grounds that well, now she has a taste of true emotional awakening, the Resistance and Force stories can properly cohere in the third film (which never happened) - but all of this is feeding into each other in that where the ST has a unique identity, it's weakened by the saddle of the OT retreading. Which is ironic, because the online furore was so soundly grounded in it not being the latter enough, and where it does retread it, who actually remembers what the OT was about anyway? Lol. Fundamental aspects of the OT identity are discarded where personal power fantasy has been inserted.
It makes me feel a bit weird because I know Reylos generally love TLJ and I kept this to myself for a long time, and no, I don't think criticisms of TLJ generally come from the same place as me. What I'm basically saying is that the Reylo plotline works so well for what the ST uniquely is, and what it uniquely has to say - and I enjoy the Rey-Luke dynamic as well, especially because I love realistic characterisation, do none of you remember Luke with Yoda lol, why does everybody want Rey to be universally perfect and loved by everybody ever it's so weird - and the film is just really dragged down with baggage and the Resistance plotline. I wish that it were interwoven better, and part of that is clearly production changes (Poe was meant to die in the first film) and part of that is the most interesting parts being left for the third film which were never reprised (Stormtrooper rebellion with Finn), and I also recognise that this comes down to personal taste. I'm much more interested in the heart of SW than I am in the overall aesthetics, and this is why EU material doesn't interest me at all.

#ooh this is so good#especially with all the stuff about propaganda for the military#how much more insidious would that be considering the Republic was demilitarized for decades/centuries/millennia?#the Empire comes on the scene and itâs recruiting. Remember the Battle of Coruscant? Remember all your dead friends?#they got that close because the Republic was weak. its military was 3 years old. but you can build something great with the empire#you can be part of a military that will make sure everyone is safe. you want that donât you? canât you see how very necessary enlisting is? (via @inquisitor-apologist)
no I was actually going to get into this in the original post but I was worried that it was getting too long. George Lucas said that, as far as the prequels were concerned, Palps was Dick Cheney and Vader was George Bush (source: I read it somewhere once and you're going to have to trust my memory bcuz I don't feel like going to find this info rn) and I keep thinking, in episode 3, the attack on Coruscant and the Jedi committing treason (according to the people on Coruscant) doesn't it make sense that there was some patriotic fervor in the core systems a la post 9/11 style? Revenge of the Sith, btw, was released in 2005, a post 9/11 America. If you're shutting down 'production' of a clone army and you're about to lose every single one of your soldiers and your ability to create more soldiers, there needs to be a way to rally populations that are far removed from where all the actual conflict is. You need to frighten them and then scapegoat a population. So the attack on Coruscant, we know was orchestrated by Palps to get to Anakin, but it was also a political move against the people on the planets surface to rally them into action (this is making me sound like a bush-did-9/11-theorist and its making me realize there are palps-did-9/11 truthers on Coruscant).
But it works and you throw the Jedi under the bus using, basically, Islamophobia to further the narrative that ~they~ aren't like you and you need to protect the Courscanti way of life by taking up arms against them. Which a lot of young Coruscanti's do - including Kallus. side note: this is your reminder that Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) did the exact same thing. joined the military because of 9/11. Anyway. People always say, 'oh, Kallus must've been weirded out in the rebellion at first because of all the high ranking aliens' and I mean, maybe a little, and he has some lingering misplaced resentment because of Onderon, but more than that, I think Kallus would struggle most with his relationship to Kanan. Because he's been told that everyone of his religion is evil and traitorous. And if we're talking about high-demand religions, when you challenge the intrinsic vertical (authoritarian) morality of the cult/religion people shut down immediately. Listen, imagine trying to convince a devout Fundamentalist Christian that Paganism is a legitimate religious practice rooted in connecting to the universe at large and that Pagans are NOT a threat. Imagine the mental break.
And you use that devout authoritarianism that people subscribe to, give them someone to be afraid of (Jedi and the other "terrorists"), give them something to protect (your friends and family whose way of life was ATTACKED by the Evil Separatists), and funnel them into an overinflated military industrial complex. They'll do anything you say, no matter what it is.
Thinking about Kallus. Thinking about the Empire. Thinking about how a fascist dictatorship can take over the minds of a population. I think more people should think about Kallus' defection the way they think about leaving high demand religions or cults. (not trying to absolve him of the shit he did, I'm just thinking things) I'm not a cult expert or anything, but if you're on tiktok I'm sure you've come across knitting cult lady, she's a cult expert who was raised in the children of god cult and she's mentioned more than once that the US military (which she was also in) is a cult, but people don't like thinking about it like that. But we grow up with all the propaganda about the army and there are recruiters going to schools and doing pull up challenges and there are ads on tv about how honorable and noble joining the military is, and how much good the military does (like technology research, paying for your education, providing jobs, benefits, etc.) to make it seem like it's a benevolent thing to do. And I have to wonder if that's what growing up on Coruscant was like. Ads every commercial break about joining the Republic's Military Academy, recruitment stations, veterans days and memorial days and military appreciation month and whatnot, and from Kallus' perspective joining the military would've been seen as honorable from the jump. Just wearing his uniform out and about for whatever reason got him "thank you for your service" and everything.
Then when you join, men shave their heads and women don't (maintains rigid gender binaries and division within the cult) and rigid body standards are maintained as well. This is something the US military does, too. It doesnât matter how good you are at your job if you don't look the part, you'll be trimmed down until you do. There are real service members who've left the service that have confirmed as much. And think about it, when is the last time you saw a US army commercial with someone who wasn't conventionally attractive or uber thin. Controlling food is a surefire way to keep people in line, dependent on your organization, and too weak to resist. Cult shit. Worth noting that storm trooper armor is rigid. As far as we can tell, there's no way to adjust the plating, expand it, restrict it, whatever. It must be worn at the size it comes in. Which means body size must be maintained no matter what your body wants to do naturally. Also Leia's famous "aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?", could be she was just trying to antagonize, could be she meant it literally. It's also worth noting that Kallus, like the stormtroopers, wears rigid plate armor. So the people who give him an eating disorder upon his defection, or the inability to regulate his own body's needs are exactly right.
Cults also have the 'skinny-white woman' near the top of the cult. It's the female counterpart to the cults patriarchal leader (doesn't have to be skinny, doesn't have to be white, it's just an archetype). I don't think the Empire has one specifically (maybe in legends, Mara Jade? but I don't know enough about legends, so I could be wrong), but I think that it's kind of broken up into different regions or sects, or there's more than one or something. Because if you look at Lothal, there's Thrawn, who is the local patriarchal leader of the cult, and Pryce, who is the 'skinny-white woman'. She has to defer to Thrawn despite being the Governor of Lothal and Thrawn being a 'guest' so-to-speak in the region. There's also the Grand Inquisitor (patriarchal leader) and Minister Tua (skinny-white woman) and Vader (patriarchal leader) and the 7th sister (skinny-white woman) (though she does kind of share her position with the 5th brother) throughout the series. Kallus always works for the patriarchal leader, and is usually equal to the skinny-white woman in the chain of command, but ISB seems to be its own entity, so he's not quite as dependent on that hierarchy as the other imperials on Lothal, which gives him some leeway that others don't have.
As for the harm he would cause. Yeah, he caused it. No one's denying that. But in the eyes of a Coruscanti, he was still just a vet. Probably had arguments about healthcare with the VA's office, would go home and have the narrative reinforced that he was doing the honorable thing, then would go back out into the field and try to maintain that slim grasp on what he was told was good. And I think this is why a lot of people are very uncomfortable with Kallus. Because he's a veteran and we all want our veterans to be taken care of and we all grill on memorial day and so on. And we don't want to think of our neighbors, and the women who've fought for the right to serve, and the queer people who've fought for the right to serve, as just abject bad guys. Like, yeah we'll critique the military industrial complex all day long, but our vets should be taken care of. Like they weren't all killing the same people for oil. And you can get online and wax poetic about how you're actually the special-special that always saw through all the lies and you think that all vets deserve to get spit in the eye. But no, you and I both know that's not true. I mean, George Lucas has confirmed that the rebellion is the Viet Cong, a militant leftist group that fought against the empire (Americans). And my grandpa fought in Vietnam. Or was it Korea. Or both. You see, I don't even know which one. You know why? I never asked. Either way, he got 'thank you for your service' and military discounts, and respect in his community, and blah blah blah. Because all of us are either directly in the cult of the US military OR directly affected by the cults' propaganda and then to see, accent aside, a US service member be blatantly evil and then acknowledge how blatantly evil he is, repent, turn around, and betray his home world, and the military industrial complex we've all been trained to love, makes us very angry because 'hey, you're not supposed to be self-aware'.
'Well, I don't love the military industrial complex, I'm the special-special >:(' ok what have you done that's helped destroy the military industrial complex other than complain about the healthcare vets receive and try to convince people not to use fireworks on the fourth of July. You benefit from colonialism. The US military is doing all the heavy lifting of colonialism globally allowing the US and Europe to benefit from ongoing systemic neo-colonial efforts, that's why the US military's budget is so overinflated.
'Well, Kallus still committed genocide,' so did your cousin that enlisted. In Star Wars, Anakin slaughtered a village of Tuskens and Padme married him and had children with him. Then he killed all the Jedi and Alderaan and got his redemption with Luke. Kylo Ren destroyed the entire Hosnian System and then got the girl. But yeah, those guys are space wizards and that distances them from real people so we don't think too hard about them. All the bad guys look like nazi ripoffs, so they're obviously evil and they stay evil for the most part, and all the good guys were always good guys. To us, at least. Sabine created a weapon that was designed specifically to slaughter her own people and their cultural heritage but that all happened off screen, so it's just interesting backstory for later. But Kallus? From space USA, not a wizard, and his about-face happened in real time for us. He looked right at us, holding up a mirror to us and our complacency and people had viscerally negative reactions to him, because we didn't like our own reflection. His redemption is so, so, so, so fascinating. Fascinating look at the US military. At least for me, I have so much fun doing analysis like this lol
I would've loved for Rebels to get into the weeds here, but I also understand why they didn't. He was a secondary antagonist from an animated kids show on Disney XD. So, naturally, they weren't going to get that in depth, especially with the military contracts that Disney has. I don't think they were planning on redeeming him at the beginning of the show. Sometimes characters kind of, come alive in a way, and say 'nu-uh, I wouldn't do that. Give me the pen, I'll write it,' and I very much get the feeling that's what Kallus did. If they had known from the beginning that they were going to redeem him, I think his backstory would've been different, but given the limited budget, and limited time, and the fact that he wasn't a main character, you know, these things happen. Real world stuff affects what happens in the writers room, and that's a bummer. But I'm also kind of happy I get to speculate and theorize the way I do. Like I said, it's fun. Anyway, I just think he's neat. I think his redemption is neat, and it was good enough for Zeb and his people, so it's good enough for me.
anyway, be nice. i'm just riffing to riff.
#alexsandr kallus#agent kallus#kallus#sw rebels#there are no doubt people on Coruscant who saw right through all of it immediately#but they would've been either mocked harassed or killed

What would the guys enjoy doing with you for Christmas? As a bonus, what are their favorite Christmas movies? Thank you for all your incredible stories! Theyâre the best of the best! đđđ

Christmas HCâs for Modern Jacques, Mills, Flip, Kylo, and Clyde.
Thank you for your ask! These HCâs are always fun! And I figured I can sneak in one more blurb both for @writer-wednesday and one more for Clyde because I plan to retire him from my writing this year so I can focus on the big bad guys I like so much! From here on out, itâs going to be Jacques, Flip, Mills, and Kylo for the foreseeable future, and I couldnât be more excited!Â

Modern Jacques
Jacquesâs gifts to you start by ensuring he is as handsome, well-groomed, and well-dressed as possible. He will have a fresh manicure and pedicure, a facial, immaculately trimmed beard, and perfectly coiffed hair before your date begins. His dress will be impeccable and his cologne expensive. He always looks great and is the most fashionable and debonair of men, but for special occasions, he takes extra care with his dashing presentation.
As a connoisseur of the finer things in life, he is a man who will spare no expense to wine and dine you. Unlike most unfortunate bumbling men, Jacques is a natural romantic. His overtures never miss their mark and he always puts a smile on your lips. Classical romance appeals to Jacques, so he often greets you with fresh flowers or artisan chocolates and a quality bottle of wine. Heâs also masterful at seduction, and like all the best lovers, he gets your mind in an erotic mood long before he entices your body.
For a Christmas Eve date, he will begin the day by leaving a package on your bed in the morning that contains a designer dress, French lingerie, and a note telling you where and when to find him once youâre wearing his gifts. He will have planned in advance with reservations at an exclusive restaurant where the wining and dining begins. Afterwards, he will take you home and continue wining and dining you with wine and chocolates. He will put those huge hands of his to use and give you a first-class massage that he will keep relatively tame until you want him to make you feel even better. After pleasuring you the first time of the evening, he will share a sensual bath with you and then have you again. Along with more wine.
His actual gifts to you are things like original oil paintings and first editions of poetry and novels -- things that are as timeless as his love for you. He is also not above giving you a playful striptease or putting a ribbon on his cock like the gift it is.
Regarding movies, Jacques loves the classics but he canât stand the singing, the dancing, and the camp. Something sober like A Christmas Carol narrated by Vincent Price is a win in his book. Even better, he likes a new fresh take on a classic. So as far as classics go, the revamped and much darker FXâs A Christmas Carol is one of his favorites. He also argues you canât go wrong with The Lion in Winter, even though itâs not technically a Christmas movie. He has a weakness for lionhearted imperious redheads and Katherine Hepburn still had it even when she was older. Speaking of imperious redheads, one of his favorites is Maureen OâHara, so even though he thinks the movie is juvenile, he is always willing to watch Miracle on 34th Street.

 Mills
Mills is active and adventurous. For gifts, he thinks less along the lines of things and more of experiences. Having adventures with his girl and creating memories are the best gifts he can give and receive. He has taken you on some spectacular Christmas trips, such as to après ski lodges and climbing glacial mountains in Switzerland. A lodge in Zermatt with an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn is a favorite spot of his. That is what he will do for every Christmas if circumstances allow. Mills is a true alpha male, rugged, and steeped in robust masculinity. As such, he will also do whatever it takes to put a smile on his girlâs lips and he will always give one-hundred percent for her.
Picking out a tree together is his idea of a fun and simple Christmas date when the stars donât align for something more extravagant. He would never settle for buying a tree, or worse yet having a fake one, when he can take you out and chop down your own. He will let you pick your perfect tree, all while making a day of it. Mills will be prepared with thermoses of hot chocolate, which may or may not be spiked with peppermint schnapps, and heâll bring his own large axe along.
In the search for your tree, he will capitalize on the snowy forest and incite at least one snowball fight with you, which he will win by tackling you to the ground and smothering your protests with his lips. When it comes to the tree-chopping, he knows how much you enjoy watching him get worked up and sweaty, see his muscles strain and his hair ruffled and wild. He also knows how much fun you have watching him wrestle with a tree that is several feet taller than he is when he fights it into place in your living room. He plays it up for you, grumbling and cussing and making an ass of himself for your amusement. At home, in addition to the tree, he has mistletoe strategically placed to his advantage. A steaming hottub outside in the frigid cold is also a must, and he will make you shudder beneath the water while above steam enshrouds you and icicles form in both your hair.
In the event, you want to do something else for Christmas, Mills is always along for the ride and a perennial good sport. If it makes you happy, and results in him getting a reward after, he will happily endure an ugly sweater party and let you dress him up as horrendously as you please.
Although not really a Christmas movie, he loves Everest, a movie about men facing the elements and harrowing odds in the most dreadful conditions on Earth. For a romantic movie, he allowed you to bully him into watching A Winterâs Tale. Thereâs something timeless about a rough-cut man defying space and time to save the woman he loves. He knows all the best Christmas movie drinking games, too, and he usually wins them.

 Flip
Flip always has a hell of a time trying to find the perfect gift for his girl. Heâs not romantic by nature and a lot of romantic overtures make him feel like a preening peacock and has him wanting to kick his own ass. He is, however, very innately sexy in an animalistic way and he uses that to his advantage with women, whether heâs just playing the field or once heâs found the one. He has a cocky charm that he exudes effortlessly, and he is sometimes unaware heâs made a woman swoon until he catches her ogling him. Heâs also just fine with making an ass of himself to make his girl laugh, which is always endearing.
He gets himself in trouble by being a sarcastic jackass, which is also an innate facet of his personality and transfers to gift-giving. Complaints he hears often from you are his late nights, and never knowing where he is and what heâs doing during those long hours. As a solution, he got you a police scanner one year, calling it an FPS â Flip Positioning System. He was baffled when he was forced to sleep on the couch for Christmas and for a few days after. Heâs still salty about it instead of being thankful he didnât get slapped. The best gift heâs given you was an original Colt .45 that he had custom engraved with your initials and his.
A perfect Christmas date to him is a long weekend away from the bullshit of everyday life. A few days spent in his cabin in the mountains with no distractions between you makes for a perfect Christmas. He will fill your days with slow dancing, warming you up after a day out in the snow, alternating between making you laugh and making you sigh in front of a roaring fire at night. Heâs also great at manning a grill and cooks the juiciest steaks. Toasting smores over an open fire for desert makes them taste even better.
And if you happen to get snowed in and have to return a few days later than planned, thatâs a bonus gift for you both.
You should have known better than to ask what his favorite Christmas movie was. He cocked a sarcastic eyebrow at you when he told you Die Hard. He can certainly relate to John McClane. He gets stuck working too much on Christmas and on top of it, his vacations have a way of taking a nosedive. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is another favorite. It happens a lot where all hell breaks loose around him and heâs stuck cleaning up the mess and solving the case. He also relates to men whose mouth and sarcasm write checks their fists have to cash. In The Ref, Flip can commiserate with Dennis Leary on being stuck in a situation heâd prefer to punch his way out of. Â

 Kylo
Kylo has a level of intuition that borders on the mystical, which is deeper still with his lover. He always seems to know exactly what to do to make you smile, and this obviously translates to gifts. He has an eye for the opulent and the lavish, and he enjoys nothing more than spoiling his lady and treating her like a queen. Jewelry always hits the mark, and he loves seeing it sparkle on your skin like winter frost on Christmas morning. Kylo also loves that anyone seeing you wear something so exquisite will know it came from him and that you belong to him. Trips abroad to exotic destinations like a Christmas market in Prague, or to a transparent igloo in Lapland under the northern lights, or an extravagant shopping excursion to the likes of the Champs de ElysĂŠe are also in his repertoire.
Wherever you may be, he brings your traditions with you to celebrate in any location, no matter how far you find yourselves from home. Spending Christmas Eve in with you and toasting you at midnight is but one of your many traditions together. A favorite tradition between you and Kylo is exchanging the lists youâve made for each other detailing the particularly nice and especially naughty things youâve each done throughout the year. Itâs romantic to reminisce, and it also adds an extra layer of spice when it comes to dolling out treats and/or making amends as the situation demands. He will happily let you use him in any way you see fit to atone for all his naughtiness throughout the year. Youâll never forget the night he improvised by tying you up with Christmas lights before having his way with you.
Kyloâs favorite festive movies are the best of the baddies. Krampus is the best Christmas movie in his opinion. Unlike most unrealistic simpering plots, the nasty family in Krampus actually gets their comeuppance without salvation. Bad Santa also represents his level of holiday cheer. Violence, sarcasm, and alcohol are the best and only ways to deal with all the intrusively obnoxious vapidity commonly described as âcheer.â

 Clyde
Clyde is old fashioned, and also knows he canât go wrong with the tried and true. For him, the holidays are about family. Since you became family for him, he can think of nothing better for Christmas than doing something homey and traditional with you. He loves taking you out for a day in the snow or shopping in the old part of town at the authentic general store - established in 1899 and outfitted today with a myriad of festive decorations.
Clyde always has a Christmas party of sorts at his bar on whatever Saturday falls closest to the 25th. Every year, he takes it as a personal challenge to create a new custom drink for you. Something as spicy and sweet as he says you are. He will wear the obnoxious ugly sweaters you get him and slow dance with you to all the sappy Christmas songs you can play on the jukebox while the bar regulars heckle him. He doesnât care. He only has eyes for you.
Afterwards, he will take you home for a Christmas movie marathon, wearing pajamas and fuzzy socks. He will make mulled wine on the stove and he always learns how to cook anything you particularly like. Heâs not a bad hand at baking either. He will miss most of the actual movies because he will be too busy enjoying you instead of watching the screen.
For Christmas movies, he loves a good heist flick. Heâs also a sucker for a good dark comedy. The Ice Harvest is a great witty heist-gone-wrong movie. Fargo is close enough to a Christmas movie. Itâs good fun watching stupid criminals and inept cops with bad accents. Brings back fond memories for him.

Hate You, Hate You Not - Armitage Hux
Pairing: General Armitage Hux x reader
Requested: By anon.Â
Prompts: #1 & #58 from the fluff-list.Â
Warnings/notes: (SHOULD I MAKE A PART 2 WITH MORE ROMANCE IN IT?) This ended up being much longer than I planned so it's most likely very boring and dullđ Might be a bit, if not a lot, out of character since this is kinda my test-run for Hux and Star Wars in general. Getting the characters mannerisms in might take some practice. Not proofread so I apologize in advance for any mistakes. This is the first time ever that I write for Star Wars and the first time in like 5-6 months that Iâm writing in general so Iâm a bit rusty. Please reblog and leave comments to keep my motivation going and let me know if youâd like to be added to a Star Wars taglist <3Â

Summary: One of Kylo Renâs many tantrums results in your room being inhabitable for a night, which in turn results in you having to share a room - and bed - with the person you hate the most.Â
Everyone who had ever, at some point in their lives, worked alongside Kylo Ren in his quest to bring the Order to power, knew how much of a hassle and inconvenience his temper, or lack thereof, could be.
Not much was needed for him to lose his cool and it happened on a much too frequent basis than what was considered normal for a man in his early 30s, at least according to you.
Of course, however, you couldnât actually tell him that, nor could you think it, with the risk of him probing your mind.
So every time he came back from a failed mission and completely obliterated your hard work, you could do nothing but bite your tongue, clear your head and repair the damages like youâd done oh, so many times before.
Thatâs what you got for being one of the highest-ranked engineers of the Order, you supposed.
But on this day you wouldâve, for the first time in your life, very much preferred to repair the damages left behind by your tantrum-prone leader like you always did. Because if that punishment had to be compared to the one you were now facing, you wouldâve chosen the former without even a shadow of a doubt.
But, unfortunately, that was not an option this time around, as the room that had fallen victim to the sizzling beam of Kylo Renâs lightsaber was your bedroom.
Well, not originally, of course, but sparks had flown from the totaled control panels and a piece of supposedly fireproof metal scrap had caught on fire before you and the other engineers reached the room for a damage-control, starting of as a small flame and then proceeding to spread like wildfire as fire did, in ways completely unbeknownst to you as, like already mentioned, the place was supposed to be safe from fires. Â
The licking flames had managed to melt through several walls before you got to the scene, and one of those walls was the wall to your bedroom.
It was late when it happened, only fifteen minutes before you were supposed to end your shift, and as you were on the verge of having a mental fucking breakdown, you personally requested an audience with Kylo and were granted permission by him after a very carefully-worded explanation to start early in the morning.
But that only took care of one of your problems, and only temporarily at that. Now you were left with the issue of finding other sleeping accommodations since your room was currently not habitable. You had no choice but to ask for another room and, of course, Hux thought that to be the perfect time to crack a sarcastic joke about throwing you into one of the prisoner cells.
You had never, in all your years of being alive, glared so fiercely at another human being as you did then. And in your moment of anger, you accidentally let your walls down and let your thoughts run freely through your head â your annoyance directed at the General, but also at Kylo Ren, being exposed.
You felt it before you saw it â that little prickle in your head, that little sting of your mind being probed â and only a second later, Kylo Ren turned his masked head in your direction, walked up to you with patronizingly slow steps and spoke:
âI think youâll find that General Huxâs quarters will suffice for the night, until repairs can be done to your own. He has more than enough space for both of you.â
He turned his head to look at the baffled man standing behind him, all of the attitude he had previously been harboring against you now completely melted away.
âIsnt that right, General?â Kylo continued asking, giving him the time he needed to regain his composure.
The general in question had never been very good at holding his tongue, not even when receiving orders from superiors, and was quick to protest.
As anyone wouldâve been able to guess, that didnât go very well, and you weren't even gonna try hiding the satisfaction you got from seeing Hux be force-choked against a wall for speaking out of turn.
No matter how good both of you were at hiding your spiteful thoughts toward him, Kylo knew how much the two of you hated him. And more than anything, he knew how much you hated each other.
Kylo had become very predictable to you during the time you had been there and you knew his ways good enough to know that he wouldnât have wasted petty energy in putting the two most hateful people he knew in the same room if he hadnât been pushed to do so.
You knew that you werenât the reason in this scenario, despite the fact that he had probably felt your spite directed towards him, which only left one option; and that option was the bitter, infuriatingly stubborn ginger currently walking by your side.
You glanced at him from the corner of your eye and glared, clenching and unclenching your fists at your sides in the same manner you had been doing ever since Kylo had ruled his decision final and dismissed you for the night.
His eyes remained trained on the metallic corridor that seemed to be stretched out for miles in front of you and your blood boiled at the sight.
You wouldâve lost your shit if heâd had the nerve to even consider looking at you after putting you in this situation, but at the same time, you were also on the verge of losing your shit about him having the audacity to ignore you.
You wanted to scream at him like youâd never screamed at anyone before, but you knew that doing that would only fuel the petty grudge Kylo had against the two of you and give him more ways to cause you torment. The only thing you and the general would ever have in common was not wanting that.
But still, what harm could a tiny bit of friendly banter do?
âYou just couldnât help yourself, could you, Armitage?â The question youâd been sucking on for the past few minutes finally slipped out into the air, making your anger known.
âDonât call me that.â
âMy apologies.â You sarcastically shot back with a dry laugh. âYou just couldnât help yourself, could you, general?â
âNo, it was awfully tempting.â Was all that he replied, his eyes not once flickering and neither his stone-cold scowl nor fast-paced stride faltering.
Well, you might have absolutely despised each other but in the very least, you never bothered lying to each other. That had to count for something, right? Not that either of you cared.
No more words were exchanged, and that was probably for the best. Engineers and stormtroopers all moved out of your way as the two of you marched through the corridors, side by side, knowing better at this point than to get on your bad sides when you were together and this obviously angry both with each other and in general.
Soon enough, you finally reached the corridor in which Huxâs sleeping quarters were located and once the mechanic doors slid open, you pushed yourself past him into the room before he even got the chance to react.
He fumed behind you as he watched you make yourself at home, dropping your dirty jacket on his perfectly made bed.
âYouâll take the floor, then?â You asked as you turned around, crossing your arms over your chest and shooting him a forced smile.
âHardly.â He spat, eyes narrowing, and you scoffed, rolling your eyes in return.
âYou must be a real hit with the ladies with those manners.â
At that, he stepped further into his room, allowing the sensory-triggered door to shut behind him, successfully shutting the two of you in together.
âI donât have time for fooling around with women.â He spat out the last word with such malice that you automatically raised an eyebrow.
âWell, that explains it.â You mused, the corner of your lip tugging upwards ever so slightly.
âExplains what, exactly?â His eyes narrowed further, and this time it was his turn to cross his arms.
âThat stick you have up your ass.â You wasted no time in shooting back, and before he got a chance to reply, you continued. âI know this might be news to you seeing as youâre, well, you, but gentlemen are supposed to sacrifice their comfort and offer themselves to take the floor when a lady, due to unfortunate circumstances, is forced to stay in their room.â
You sarcastically smiled at him and sank down his bed, something that he, judging by the snarl overtaking his face, didnât appreciate.
âYou, a lady? That will be the day.â He scoffed. âEven calling you a woman is a stretch with your mannerisms.â
You could only roll your eyes.
âWell, Iâm not sharing a bed with you.â The glare that had temporarily been exchanged for a teasing smirk returned to your face. âIâd rather share a bed with Millicent.â
As you said that, you picked up a single strand of cat hair from his bed, held it up for further inspection and raised your lip in disgust.
He stared at you dead serious, hands clasped behind his back and eyes burning holes into the side of your face.
âYouâre allergic to cats.â He pointed out, making your head whip back around to face him with a glare equally as fierce as the one you were met with.
âYes, thatâs my point.â You deadpanned. âBut it would seem that said point just went right over your thick-skulled head.â
âDo you think I am any happier about this than you are?â He scowled, and you stood up, slowly approaching him and coming to a stop right in front of him.
He took a small step back, a move that made your lip tug upward ever so slightly. The fact that he was so obviously not as tough as he wanted people to believe gave you a special kind of satisfaction and he knew it, judging by the way he only turned stiffer after that.
âYou should be.â You smiled sweetly at him, keeping your eyes connected to his. âBecause youâre sure as hell lucky I havenât choked the life out of you yet for getting us into this situation in the first place.â
He glared and you glared right back, challenging, no, daring him to fight back. You knew that he wanted to, you could see that he wanted to, but in the end, not even he was that stupid.
So he said nothing, and once you realized you had finally managed to successfully back him into a corner, you backed away from him again and plastered on another forced, overly sweet smile.
âNow, I need to take a shower. I reek of burnt plastic.â You stated flatly and pushed past him, making a beeline for the one extra door in the room that you could only assume was his bathroom. Â
You heard the squeak of his shoes rubbing against the floor as he quickly turned around behind you, and then came the determined steps and the proximity of his body closing in on you. However, before he got the chance to object or reach you, you entered his bathroom and slammed the door shut in his face, smiling contently to yourself as you listened to the muffled string of curses that followed.
You didnât spend any more time thinking about it, though, not wasting any time before doing what you came in there to do.
You got out of your horrid-smelling clothes, released your equally as nasty-smelling hait from its ponytail and stepped into the shower.
If there was one thing you appreciated a little extra about living at the Starkiller Base, it was that everyone used the same scented soap. Because that meant that you wouldnât have to go around smelling specifically like Hux, but rather just like you always smelled.
Once you finished washing your hair and body, you had to stop and think for a bit.
Your clothes obviously still reeked and needed a proper wash before they could be worn again, and you obviously couldnât go naked.
After much thought back and forth, you finally settled with your own leggings as they were the one piece of clothing from your previous attire that smelled the least of smoke, and a plain black, long-sleeved undershirt that you found in a pile of Huxâs clean laundry.
Once you vad gotten dressed, braided your hair and re-entered the bedroom accompanied by a stream of steam, you found it to be empty, Hux nowhere in sight.
You couldnât deny that you wondered where heâd gone off to, but you shook your head free of his face pretty quickly, settling with believing that he just went to take his frustration out on some poor stormtrooper or low-rank intern like he so often did when things didnât go his way, much like Kylo Ren beat the shit out of any control panel he could get his hands on.
While you awaited his return, you occupied yourself with going around the room and lighting the small night-lamps like you normally did in your own room before going to bed.
That obviously didnât take long, however, so you were soon enough once again left alone with your boredom and started walking around the room, inspecting all of Huxâs belongings.
You realized pretty quickly that he was not a person to whom inanimate things had much sentimental value, as he definitely didnât have much to his name aside from the basic interior that all of the sleeping quarters on the base had.
He had a ring on his drawer, a few books in one of his two bookshelves while the other stood empty, a small bed in a corner for his cat, clothes in his wardrobe, and that was pretty much it. He had no pictures of family, no real personal belongings that could signify any kind of emotional value.
But then again, who did in these parts?
âIs that my shirt?â
You jumped when you heard the sudden voice behind you, quickly turning around where you stood twirling the ring you had found in the light of the lamp standing beside you.
Your eyes found his form immediately, shocked meeting stern.
âWhy are you wearing my shirt?â He almost instantly repeated himself when not getting a reply the first time, slowly beginning to walk in your direction with his hands clasped behind his back.
You quickly put the ring back down on the dresser and turned towards him, regaining your composure.
âWell, if you hadnât noticed, my room and everything in it was burnt to a crisp. The smokey smell on my clothes was giving me a headache and kind of would have ruined the purpose of taking a shower so when I just so conveniently noticed a pile of clean clothes, I helped myself.â You shrugged like it wasnât a big deal, and to you, it wasnât.
Hux, however, didnât seem amused in the slightest.
âYes, you seem to have a habit of thinking youâre entitled to everything you want.â He spat back at you, coming to a stop while there was still a good amount of distance between the two of you.
Any chill you had previously had melted right off and your annoyance quickly returned at the sound of his words.
âOh, do excuse me. I just thought one headache would be enough.â You retorted and rolled your eyes, before sighing and crossing your arms over your chest. âSo, how are we doing this? Itâs late and I need to be up early to see to the repairs.â
âI thought that I made myself clear.â Hux was quick to scoff, his glare not faltering for as much as a second. âIâm not giving you my bed.â
Once again, all you could do was roll your eyes. âWell, I guess weâll just have to suck it up then.â You stated flatly and sat down on the bed, wasting no time in starting to divide the pillows into two piles rather than one.
You took a few seconds to adjust the pillows to suit your needs before looking back up, eyebrow raised at the fact that he had yet to say or do anything.
Your eyes once again met his and you almost laughed out loud at the sight you were faced with, but thankfully managed to control yourself and avoid making the situation even harder than it already was. Â
Long story short, Hux had never looked more horrified than he did in that moment.
He basically looked at you like you had killed his cat, and that was putting it lightly.
You took a few seconds to just enjoy watching him squirm and silently scramble to make sense of the situation, but even you knew when enough was enough and raised a questioning eyebrow at him in an attempt to get him moving.
âWell? Whatâs it going to be?â You asked. âItâs either this or the floor, just like it was for me.â
Hux opened his mouth, hesitated, and then closed it again. He obviously hadnât been expecting you to actually agree on sharing his bed with him and now that you had, he was left at loss for words as he clearly hadnât been preparing for anything other than you sleeping on the floor.
But after a good moment of just standing there and looking like an idiot, he finally picked himself back up, squared his shoulders and walked around the bed to the other side with frustrated strides and a snarling lip.
The feigned confidence melted right off, however, when he reached his destination and awkwardly shuffled into bed while simultaneously avoiding your amused and mocking stare, silently grabbing the extra blanket that was folded upon his bedside table. Â
Both of you laid down on your backs and a heavy silence fell like a thick blanket over the room. The only sound you could hear for a few moments were each otherâs breaths and your own heartbeats. For a moment, only for a microscopical moment, you were actually on your way to admit to yourself that it was kind of nice.
But that thought went flying out the window just as quickly as it had knocked on the door of your mind when Hux broke the silence by beginning to adjust himself to get ready to sleep, and in the process of doing so made the active choice to tug the pillows from right under your head.
The back of your head hit the mattress with a soft thump and you closed your eyes, your lips pulling into a straight, tight line and one, sharp breath being released through your nose as you attempted to keep your cool.
You took a moment to calm down, before you turned your head to his side of the bed where he now laid with his back to you and tugged the pillows back â maybe with a little too much force than necessary.
Hux had quickly rolled over to his other side to take them back and in anger and an eagerness to get to sleep, you exclaimed: âStop stealing the pillows!â
He met you with a stare cold enough to have anyone else shaking in their boots and spat back. âTheyâre my pillows.â
You grumbled under your breath and let go of one of the two pillows, letting him pull it back to his side while you held on to the last one.
You stared at each other for a moment, both of you eventually coming to a silent, mutual agreement that you were too tired to fight and therefore he'd let you keep the pillow you were holding on to as if your life depended on it.
He, once again, laid down and turned his back to you, his hands holding on to the pillows under his head while you struggled to get comfortable again, this time with only one pillow.
âWhy is your bed so damn hard?â You muttered under your breath as you angrily shoved your elbow into the mattress in an attempt to make it more comfortable â as if that was ever going to help.
âStop complaining.â He only snapped back.
âHow could I when Iâm stuck in a bed with you?â
âYou couldâve asked for other accommodations when you had the chance.â
âAnd what, be the next victim of Renâs lightsaber?â You scoffed. âIâm the one in charge of the repairs that are needed every time he throws a wobbly. Iâve seen the kind of damage that thing can do and Iâm not in any hurry to find myself at the receiving end of it.â
You muttered the last part under your breath as you finally managed to get relatively comfortable, plopping back down on your back and folding your hands over your stomach.
âHow did you know Iâm allergic to cats, anyway?â The question spilled out before you could stop yourself, and before you could even register that it was on the way.
Where did that even come from? Cats werenât even close to being the subject at hand.
Hux didnât seem to care much about the random change of subject, however, simply muttering back a reply. âYou start sniffling and scratching your arms every time youâre in the same room as me for more than five minutes.â
He was clearly tired. Tired in general or just tired of you, you didnât really know, but you guessed that it was a mixture of both since that was the case for you.
âMaybe Iâm just allergic to you.â You muttered back with a shrug, even though he couldnât see you, and he scoffed at that.
âHad that been the case Iâm fairly certain it would go both ways and, unlike you, I donât go around oozing snot everywhere I go.â
âI donât go oozing snot everywhere.â You calmly protested, throwing the back of his head a disapproving glare before turning to lay on your side so that your back was now turned to his.
He didnât say anything else and neither did you, sleep coming in and catching you completely by surprise and having you knocked out within the next two minutes.
When you woke up early that next morning, Hux was unsurprisingly already gone, Millicent instead laying in his place and looking right at you.
With a disgusted snarl and hesitant movements, you reached over to the other side of the bed and awkwardly patted her head twice, probably very much in the incorrect manner as you had no experience whatsoever with animals.
You got out of bed after that, put on your jacket and shoes, and wasted no time in getting to work once youâd gotten some food into your system, your team joining you in the damage-inflicted area to start on repairs like youâd done so many times before.
Everything was going fine and dandy, just a light-reckon day that started off like any other â if you didnât count waking up in Huxâs bed with his cat â but a few hours into your workday, the unmistakable sound of Kylo Renâs heavy steps could be heard echoing through the entire corridor you found yourself working in.
A big share of the Orderâs pilots had been either killed or badly hurt a few days prior in an ambush. No one had expected any pilots to be needed for at least a few days but Kylo had gotten a sudden lead on the map that would take him to Luke Skywalker and was now walking around the base recruiting anyone capable of helping him get what he wanted.
Unfortunately for you, you were not only a highly-ranked engineer, but also a pretty decent pilot, and couldnât say anything in protest when you were whisked away to a ship.
As anyone who wasnât driven by an unhealthy obsession would have been able to guess, the lead was just too good to be true with a way too simple access.
Just like the last lead, this one fell through when it was revealed to be another ambush. You werenât completely sure what happened, but over the comms, you had heard something about Leia Organa and some scavenger.Â
You didnât have time to think about retired war heroes though, no matter how much youâd love to pry and the get in on the gossip, as you had to shoot yourself through a big fleet of Resistance starfighter corps, barely getting through with your ship intact.
Your fellow pilots were shot down one by one, only a small amount of you managing to get out of there. And even then, you were met by more starfighter corps just as quickly as youâd gotten away from the last line.
Everything was just a mess after that. You werenât able to get through to anyone over the comms, only barely being able to make out a âpull back!â before your comm system was blown to pieces along with one of your main engines.
Along with several other ships, you were forced to crash-land on a small planet filled with thick woods and when your ship collided with the ground, your head slammed into the controls, rendering you unconscious for who knows how long.
By the time you came back to it, you were hanging upside down, the only thing preventing you from falling down being the seatbelt keeping you strapped in.
You struggled to get out of there but you managed, and had to take a moment to get your surroundings to stop spinning before moving forward to look for survivors as well as a ship that wasnât completely beyond salvation. Â
You werenât sure who youâd find, but the person youâd shared a bed with the previous night was definitely the last person youâd expect to have crashed in the same place as you.Â
And still, you recognized his ship immediately. After all, you were the one who had personalized it to fit his liking.
Lucky for you, his ship seemed to have gotten a pretty soft landing. As you circled around it, you were able to determine that no major engines had been blown out. Damaged? Definitely. But they looked intact enough to at least be able to put some more distance between you and the Resistance pilots and get you to a safer place. Hopefully, the inside would be as untouched as the outside.
The ramp was lowered to the ground but didnât look broken, so you wasted no time in jogging inside.
The lights were out completely in the entrance area, and just flickering in the ceiling when you came further in.
The first thing you noticed when you entered the piloting pit was that the pilot was not breathing. How could you tell from that far a distance? Well, letâs just say that something that was not supposed to be stuck in his eye, was stuck in his eye.
Upon further inspection, you noticed another body on the floor. However, this one was very much alive.
You wouldâve expected to be met by a desperate âhelp meâ, maybe even some begging and pleading or in the very least a âpleaseâ, but instead, even when in the process of bleeding out on the floor, Hux narrowed his eyes at you as you approached him and asked you with ragged breaths:
âIs that my shirt?â
You panted as you dropped to your knees at his side, still pretty shaken up from your own crash. âWhat? No.â You replied in a breath, and you wasted no time in starting to inspect his injuries.
âYes, it is.â
âWhy would I be wearing your shirt?â You asked simply, struggling to see in the dark as the flickering lights werenât providing much assistance by means of light.
âThatâs my shirt.â He kept insisting, and flinched when your hand made contact with his lower abdomen.
Only then did your eyes register the glimmering piece of metal through your blurred and disoriented vision, sticking out of his side.
You flinched at the sight, not needing any more light than you had to know that it was really bad.Â
Your heart suddenly picked up in speed in your chest, and your hands began shaking as they became covered in his blood.
You had never been in the middle of the action before now, youâd always just been surrounded by metal and electricity. The most exciting thing youâd ever experienced was when a new engineer circuited a control panel the wrong way, resulting in it blowing up right by your workplace.
But it wasnât the action in itself that had your heart about ready to burst through your chest, nor was it the blood in general, but rather the fact that it was his blood covering your hands.
His life was completely dependent on you at this moment and you had absolutely no idea how to behave accordingly.
But if there was something you knew, it was that the last thing you were supposed to do was to show a dying man your panic, so you took a deep breath and tried your hardest to steady your racing heart, going back to the conversation at hand.
âHow could you tell the difference, really?â You asked. âAll of our shirts look the same. All black, all equally as sufficient when used to stop blood flows.â
As you said that last part, you released another breath and ripped off a big chunk of the lower part of the shirt you were wearing.
A shirt that was, in fact, Hux's.
The man in question let his head fall back against the wall that he was propped against and his eyes squeezed shut when feeling your hands return to his side.
âDo you always wear shirts several sizes too big?â He managed to get out through clenched teeth and you replied without missing a beat.
âThere was a mix-up in the laundry room.â
âSo it isnât your shirt?â He continued to be persistent and despite the seriousness of the situation, you couldnât help but to let a small smile slip.
âDo you want to keep fighting about whether or not this shirt is mine or would you rather maybe, oh, I donât know, focus on getting the hell out of here?â You asked him lightly and at that, he raised his head to meet your eyes with a distrusting glare.
âWhy are you helping me?â
You raised your eyebrow at him, sparing just a second to meet his eyes. âYou have a piece of metal stuck in your side, why the hell would I not help you?â You asked and as quickly as you had looked up, you looked back down at your hands to see what you were doing.
âYou hate me, and I hate you.â He deadpanned, and you couldnât deny you felt your heart tug in your chest.
âWho told you I hated you?â You asked, and listened as he let out a dry, struggling laugh.
âYou did. On countless occasions.â
He hissed when you accidentally bumped your hand against the piece of metal. You quietly apologized but didnât stop, knowing you didnât have much time before the enemy would catch up with you.
âThinking that Iâm entitled to everything I want isnât the only bad habit I have. I also have a tendency to overexaggerate.â You joked with a smile. âI do find you insufferably infuriating, though.â                       Â
Another chuckle left his lips. âLikewise.â He said and dropped his head back against the wall.
You said nothing more, ripping another two pieces off of the shirt, tying them together and wrapping it around his waist like you had the first piece. You tightened this knot significantly more than the first one, though, right above the piece of metal, and just as quickly as he had relaxed, he jerked back forward with a yell.
âI need to stop the bleeding, you need to keep still.â You hurriedly scolded and sternly pushed him back down by his chest.
He muttered bitterly in return, but didnât protest.
âI bet youâre enjoying this.â He seethed, and you raised an eyebrow, a small smile playing on your lips.
âWhenever Iâm feeling down, I just think back to the multiple times Iâve had the pleasure of witnessing you being force-thrown across a room by Ren. Puts a smile on my face every time. But that doesnât automatically mean I want you to die. So stop wallowing in your internalized self-hatred and put your hand over mine.â You told him, trying your hardest to keep a lighthearted attitude, more so for your own sake than his at this point as you were literally about to pass out.
But he did as told, contributing with the strength he had left when you got to your feet and started pulling him up and into one of the seats that were still intact.
He put a trembling hand over yours and in turn, you put your other one over his and pushed down. He hissed and you gave him a moment to adjust, and when you were sure he was pressing hard enough with his own hand, you slowly removed both of yours and fastened his seatbelt.
âKeep pressure and hold on tight. This is most likely going to be a rough ride.â You warned him, and he slowly looked up at you through a mess of ginger hair.
âIt canât be any worse than the ride here.â He retorted and you nodded, taking that as a âgo aheadâ.
You wasted no time in getting into the pilotâs seat after pulling the previous pilot out, as well as the thick tree branch on which his head had been impaled, and started up the controls. It took a few tries to get out of the hole the ship hade gotten stuck in when crashing, but soon enough you were up in the sky.
With a bit of dumb luck, you eventually reached your destination and got brought back in to the base by your team of fellow engineers, all ready to repair the wrecked ship.
Hux was immediately taken to the medical bay while you stayed behind to help with the ships, and from two ends of the base, the two of you silently and separately came to realize that maybe, just maybe, you didnât hate each other as much as you thought, after all.

happy 2021! i really hope we all have a better year this year but for now, hereâs a list of my favourite kylo/hux fics that were published in 2020, ones that got me through days of lonliness and sadness to make me smile â§
thank you fic writers of the kylux fandom! (ďžâăŽâ)ďž*:シďžâ§
- keep in the dark (to stay out of the light) by howlingshame Modern AU. Smuggler Kylo Ren runs afoul of Armitage Hux, head of the First Order crime ring. Instead of killing him outright, Hux decides to keep him for his own instead. Kylo is none too thrilled with the situation, but Hux has plenty of patience. He wants Kylo to be his in every sense of the word, and they've got all the time in the world. [E, 247k words, warnings for violence, stockholm syndrome, sub kylo & dom hux]
- Please Remember I Love You by @bumblebae8 After murdering Snoke, Kylo Ren flees alongside Rey, returning to the Reistance and to his mother after ten years. They at once begin strategizing on how to take down the corrupt and evil First Order. [M, 65k words, no warnings, redeemed ben, skywalker family drama]
- Children of War by @starryartemisâ After a complicated diplomatic mission went awry, General Hux and Kylo Ren accidentally find themselves tasked with their most difficult mission: becoming parents. Despite their complex relationship, they both agree that raising an offspring will help bring glory to the First Order. Their original vision of a united family quickly falls apart as Hux and Ren cannot see eye to eye in what they want the future to hold. [E, 162k words, warnings for violence, kylux science babies, slow burn]
- I Should Live in Salt for Leaving You Behind by Asrael_Valtiri Of course, heâd betrayed Ren, to save the Order. To save himself and his people. To try to save Ren, in a way.Strange, Hux thought, closing his eyes against the glare of the overhead lighting. He pretended that the wetness escaping the corner of his eye was from the brightness. He failed.Stupid, he amended. Stupid, Armitage. [E, 65k words, no warnings, a TROS fix-it, kylo clones]

Okay so Iâm reading through Master & Apprentice for the first time, and came across something I feel like people could easily miss:
Page 57, last paragraph. Obi-Wan is recounting prophecies he and Qui-Gon were studying. âShe who will be born to darkness will give birth to darkness.â
Could this be referencing Leia? Born to Vader, gives birth to Kylo?
Hi! There was a lot of speculation around those prophecies when M&A first came out, so a lot of people assumed they were about Leia and Ben, yeah. I wouldnât put too much stock in them because, at the time of the writing of M&A, the High Republic was also in the planning stages and it looks like thereâs a very strong possibility that the prophecies may be in reference to High Republic events, as noted in this reddit post, which contain some potential SPOILERS. In the post, it talks about a red herring for the Nihil: "The image says The Drengir: A fearsome and carnivorous plant based species that will serve as a red herring for the Nameless during the first phase of storytelling. The Drengir will be positioned as a legitimate threat over the first half of Phase I as they kill Mygorgo the Hutt and spark an interplanetary gang war. However, they are a smokescreen for the real enemies of Phase I (their name literally an anagram of Red Herring). We will see them wiped out around the time of the Republic Fair, by the real threatâthe Nihil. The Drengir have played into Marchion Ros hands, distracting Starlight Jedi long enough for the Nihil to gather their various cells and tribes into a fleet.â Now compare this to the prophecy from M&A: Only through sacrifice of many Jedi will the Order cleanse the sin done to the nameless. The danger of the past is not past, but sleeps in an egg. When the egg cracks, it will threaten the galaxy entire. When the Force itself sickens, past and future must split and combine. A Chosen One shall come, born of no father, and through him will ultimate balance in the Force be restored. It seems designed to make us think of the prequels era, because âA Chosen Oneâ and âborn of no fatherâ, but ultimate balance wasnât restored through Anakin, since the galaxy had it go out of balance again and the Force had to bring Rey along to fix it again. On the other hand, maybe âultimate balanceâ isnât the same as âforever balanceâ and this part of the prophecy is still referring to Anakin. Or maybe âcleanse the sin done to the namelessâ might be referring to the Nameless from the High Republic era. Iâm focusing on a different aspect than what youâre talking about, but also the part youâre quoting says this: âNot exactlyâbut Iâve picked up enough to make some sense of what Iâm collecting.â Obi-Wan tugged nervously at his Padawan braid, then stopped as he caught himself at it. It was a bad habit he hoped to break. âOne of these prophecies says something about âShe who will be born to darkness will give birth to darkness.â It gives no hint at all as to who that is, or what kind of darkness this is, or when it will happen. Or âWhen the kyber that is not kyber shines forth, the time of prophecy will be at hand.â How can there be a prophecy about the time of prophecy? Then thereâs this oneââ He tapped on the side of the holocron of prophecy, which Qui-Gon had taken from the Archives for at least the dozenth time in his apprenticeship. âââWhen the righteous lose the light, evil once dead shall return.â Thatâs so vague it could refer to anything or anyone! And then the whole âChosen Oneâ nonsenseââ The whole point is that prophecies are vague and, as the book has Qui-Gon do, he gets them explicitly wrong and then says, âI was meant to get them wrong, so I would be in exactly the position I am now.â Which, I mean, maybe, but also Qui-Gonâs belief in the prophecies ultimately ends up with the galaxy in a really bad place, so Iâm not sure he should be listening to them--especially when the book paints a very clear picture of how both he and Dooku were borderline obsessed with them in an unhealthy way. So the point Iâm rolling my way towards is: Obi-Wan is right, the prophecy is vague enough that it could be referring to any number of things, it could be the events of the prequels, it could be the events of the High Republic, it could be something else entirely, it could be just a load of hot nonsense and I think examining them--when Lucasfilm is not as interconnected in their stuff as we wish they were, that some easter eggs will happen, but I sincerely doubt thereâs a huge interconnected story across various eras. (Within the High Republic by itself? Sure! Maybe! But across all of Star Wars, weaving in the vents of the prequels, originals, and sequels? [X to Doubt]) I wouldnât examine them too closely, prophecies are vague enough that they could be referencing Leia, but theyâre not going to nail that down and so I actually really like that prophecies within Star Wars are kind of treated as âwell, sometimes they come true, but also theyâre notoriously unreliable, you canât take them seriously, youâll get swept up in them rather than whatâs right in front of youâ, like, thatâs a pretty interesting theme to have instead of âbut whyyyyyy didnât people pay attention to the vaguest of vague prophecies, they could have solved all their problems just by hearing âbad things are going to happen either last year or next year or a thousand years in the futureâ!â đ

Part 1Â ||Â Part 2Â ||Â Part 3Â

Star Wars Masterlist
âWhatâs your reason?â Your eyes flickered up to meet Kyloâs after he spoke, trying to make sense of his question as your eyes unintentionally trailed over his face.
âMy reason for what, Sir?â You eventually replied as you gave up trying to figure out what he was talking about. Why did he have to speak so cryptically? âYouâre going to have to give me more than that â it could mean anything knowing you.â You smiled cheekily at him from your position at the end of his bed; this time heâd called you with a deep gash stretching up the side of his left leg. It looked incredibly painful, and you couldnât comprehend how he was purposefully putting himself through this much pain just to see you â at least, thatâs what you hoped he was doing, otherwise you were completely misreading this whole situation.
âYou reason for joining the First Order.â Kylo spoke bluntly. âYouâve been fixing me up for months now, and yet I feel like we are still strangers to each other.â If you hadnât just averted your gaze back to his leg, you might have noticed the corners of his lips twitch up into the slightest shadow of a smile â but it was gone as quickly as it came.
âOh! Oh, right, of course.â You smiled. âWell, my father was the Chief Medical Officer when he was in the First Order, and on his breaks heâd always try and teach me as much as he could about medicine before my mother caught him teaching me things that were too gory or troubling for my âyoung eyesâ.â You huffed out a laugh at the thought of your parents. âSo I joined because I wanted to be a Doctor and to hopefully be the Chief Medical Officer myself one day â I love my father and Iâd be proud to follow in his footsteps and be as half as successful as he was.â
âAnd I wouldnât say weâre strangers â I mean Iâm pretty familiar with your body by now.â Your eyes widened at the realisation of what you said, and you continued in slight panic. âNot like that! I didnât mean it to sound like that at all, Sir, oh dear.â You sighed, deflated. âI look like such an idiot now.â You muttered under your breath, as you returned your efforts to applying some soothing balm to Kyloâs wound, and preparing the equipment youâd need to give him stitches.
âItâs alright.â Kylo peered down at his leg to try and see what you were doing. âIâm used to your tongue-tied manner of speaking by now.â You raised your eyebrows in surprise.
You let out a giggle at his attempt at a mild joke, and the rest of your visit was spent in friendly silence, dispersed with the occasional small talk.
âY/N!â You jerked upright in your seat, blinking rapidly as you came to your senses, the memory of one of your favourite interactions with Kylo fading from your mind. Yasmyn was staring at you in slight concern. âAre you alright? Iâve been trying to get your attention for a minute now.â
âOh yes, sorry!â You sighed, running a hand through your hair distractedly. âIâm fine thanks, just a bit tired I guess.â You adjusted yourself on Yasmynâs bed; the two of you were having your weekly girlâs night â or as girly as it could get aboard the ship.
âSomething on your mind?â Yasmyn asked sympathetically as she finished braiding her long, dark hair. âOr someone?â She grinned at you, wiggling her eyebrows. âMaybe someone tall, dark and mysterious?â
âI wasnât thinking about Kylo.â You chided firmly, trying not to let your blush be too visible. At least once every girlâs night the topic of Kylo Ren would be brought up, as Yasmyn was always eager to hear about what the you and Kylo had shared with each other, because âeven though heâs practically the leader of our fleet, nobody knows anything about him, and the gossip on this ship is so dry, your relationship with Kylo is the only thing I have going right nowâ.
âI never said you were thinking about Kylo.â Yasmyn grinned triumphantly. âI only said you might be thinking about someone tall, dark and mysterious. I never said it was Kylo, Y/N. I never said-â She was cut off as you threw a pillow at her face in retaliation.
âââââ ââ
ââ
â âââââ
Another two months had gone by since Kyloâs incident with the âscavenger girlâ â although it was never too easy to tell the time in space, and you had gone from being someone relatively quiet and unknown except to those you worked with, to someone whose name was slowly being passed around the entire ship. This wasnât your fault â you hated having more attention than was necessary â no, the only person you could blame for this sort of attention was none other than Kylo Ren.
Over these two months, heâd managed to amass a mysterious amounts of injuries â when you compared the sheer amount of times youâd been called in to the times he was off the ship or in training, you were finding it harder and harder to believe that Kylo wasnât getting all these injuries on purpose. But try as you might, you couldnât really complain about it, as every time that you were called to assist Kylo, the more you got to know him, and the more you opened up to him.
But the closer the two of you grew, the more the rumours started to spread around the ship; and they were very clearly not in your favour. Because the more you were sent to assist Kylo, the more your co-workers noticed, and the nosier they all got; every time you returned from a trip to Kyloâs room you were crowded with questions from those closer to you, and judgemental and resentful glances from everyone else.
By now, whether because of these rumours or not, youâd got a reputation for yourself, and had even been personally called by other high-ranking officers to personally assist them â if you were good enough for Kylo Ren, then you were good enough for them. And that was actually how you got yourself into the situation that you were currently in. You were currently attending a very important meeting regarding a mission that would put quite a lot of Stormtroopers at risk, so you had also brought various medical records and lists of all the medical equipment on-board the ship. You had also had to evaluate the percentages of how many soldiers would either die or be seriously injured, so the rest of the medical team could prepare the right amount of equipment.
When the meeting was originally arranged, it was supposed to be attended by the Chief Medical Officer, however he was needed elsewhere; he had an emergency surgery that he needed to attend, and he trusted you out of all the other medics to cover for him. Possibly because he knew KyloâŚfavoured you over everyone else.
âSo,â General Hux spoke up, finally starting the meeting. âThe attack on the rebel base will begin with at least a quarter of the soldiers on-board, as we currently only have a rough estimate of just how many rebel soldiers are hiding out in that base.â You nodded, typing out quick notes on your personal padd for later.
âWeâll most likely be sending about one third or our forces down to begin with â enough to scare the rebel forces and if needed we can send in reinforcements.â Hux moved tiny digital figures about on a screen, illustrating where each group of the forces would be positioned to attack the base. âThe rest of the fleet will be on standby in case a new strategy is required and a temporary retreat is needed. I would hope that our forces arenât pathetic enough for us to even consider retreating.â He turned abruptly, eyeing you haughtily. âDo we have sufficient medical supplies for the foreseeable casualties?â
You looked up nervously from your padd â youâd been making rough notes about this most recent plan so you could report back to your boss and he could begin to prepare everything.
âYes, General Hux, I do believe that we have enough supplies.â You pulled yourself together, trying not to âumâ and âerrâ your way through your sentence. âBut of course, I will send all the necessary figures to my superior as I do not have full access to all our equipment, and in the case that there are any supplies we may be short on.â You added as an afterthought â if there was anything that needed to be ordered you didnât want the responsibility to be solely yours. âOne third of the forces was it? And the rest on standbyâŚâ You re-capped while scribbling down extra notes. âAnd my superior sends his most sincere apologies that he could not be here instead of me.â
âNo matter.â General Hux waved away your apology indifferently. âAs long as all information gets relayed I could not care less who is here in his stead.â And with that, he continued with explaining the various stages of the attack.
Then, just as you were retreating slightly back into the mass of officers crowded around the main screen, you heard someone speak under their breath; âWell, it wonât be long until she does have authority to all our medical supplies, considering sheâs been sleeping her way to the top with Ren. And then who knows how irresponsibly sheâd use our supplies.â
You stop where you stand, feeling a flush creep up your face, turning it bright red in embarrassment. You could see those nearest to you glancing in your direction with obvious distain and disapproval, as if they were imagining a future where you were in some ways their superior. You could hear whispers on every side, many of them agreeing with the nameless whisperer, and you finally opened your mouth to defend yourself, when-
âI hope youâre not insinuating that I, the descendant of Darth Vader, would be capable of behaving like a common whore on my ship.â Kyloâs cold, slightly robotic voice echoed loudly across the room, silencing everyone, including General Hux. Nobody dared to speak, and you stood frozen in a mix of fear and embarrassment. âBecause thatâs certainly what it sounded like, Lieutenant Kendell.â At this, a few people subtly turned their heads in the direction of the offending statement, and you turned to see a relatively weedy looking man visibly shrink away from Kylo.
âI- of course, no sir, I didnât mean to offend you-â You watched him backtrack, stammering over his response as Kylo simply stood, watching him. âI-I simply wish to see our forces grow and thrive, and was only remarking that this medic would not be our best way of seeing this happen â I mean she may be far too inexperienced for such a role-â
âSo you assume she is using me to gain status? Her family name far outranks yours in any case, Lieutenant, so such foolish thoughts are unnecessary.â Kylo interrupted, and the room seemed to grow darker. âYou assumed that I would succumb to any such advances?â He took one single step towards the unfortunate Lieutenant. âYou forget your place, Lieutenant. It would be wise not to do so again in the future. It would be unfortunate to lose a member of our staff because of such a foolish mistake.â With this threat hanging in the air, he turned, cape flowing dramatically behind him, to face Hux, who continued his speech.
As everyone began to settle down, you couldnât help but let your mind wander as you replayed the conflict. You werenât hurt by Kyloâs behaviour, more confused that he would go out of his way to seemingly defend your honour â you assumed he wouldnât want people to know that the two of you were even relatively acquainted. You mulled over your thoughts, confusion fogging your mind as you absentmindedly followed suite and exited the room amidst the other officers, heading back to the med-wing.
âââââ ââ
ââ
â âââââ
Later that day, after youâd relayed all information back to your boss, and sent him the notes youâd made, you finally made the journey back to your room. Luckily, it was your day off tomorrow, so you could afford to have a nice, relaxing shower that would hopefully clear your mind of the stresses of the day.
Eventually, when youâd got out of the shower and put on less formal clothes, (not quite pyjamas â these were your own clothes so your evening consisted of leggings and an oversized shirt) you just so happened to check your padd for any messages from Yas, when you saw a message in your inbox that was unread. Upon checking it, your blood ran cold â it had been sent 8 minutes ago, and it was from Kylo himself. Not another officer messaging on his behalf, but from Kylo himself.
You sat bolt upright from where you had been reclining in bed, and double checked the message. It was from Kylo alright, and it had been sent-
âEight minutes ago?!â You shrieked, hurriedly scrambling to your feet, shoving your feet in your usual uniformed shoes, pulling on a long cardigan and rushing out of your room. It took you longer than eight minutes to get to Kyloâs chambers, but it was a decent enough amount of delay from the time the message was sent to when you actually saw it, that Kylo would be sure to notice that you were eight minutes later than you should have been. He didnât even set a time; he had simply requested your presence in his chamber, but the underlying message was that your presence was to be requested immediately.
âââââ ââ
ââ
â âââââ
About fifteen minutes later, you skidded to a halt outside Kyloâs chambers, having run most of the way there. You frantically tried to catch your breath as you smoothed your hair, trying to appear as though you hadnât spent the last fifteen minutes worrying that your lungs were going to explode. You introduced yourself to the guards outside Kyloâs room, and no sooner than you spoke the door slid open, one of the guards gesturing for you to go through.
âYouâre late.â Kylo stated after the door had closed behind you. He was standing at his window, back to you, helmet off.
âMy apologies, Sir.â You began, taking a few cautious steps forwards. âI wasâŚwell, occupied at the time that you sent the message. Believe me, I would have come sooner if I had seen your request sooner-â
âOccupied?â Kylo turned to face you, his expression impassive as ever; his interrupting statement, rather than question lingering in the air. âI was under the impression that once your shift was over you no longer need to be occupied.â
âUm...â You flushed slightly, subconsciously running a hand through your damp hair. âOccupiedâŚin my shower?â You avoided his burning stare. There was silence for a moment, as if Kylo was trying to determine whether or not he believed you without delving too deep into your mind.
âYou are excused of your tardiness this time.â He eventually spoke, and you relaxed slightly.
âIf I may, Sir, why did you want me here?â You ventured, rocking back and forth on your heels as you glanced around the (now) familiar room. âIf itâs to do with the comments made in the meeting earlier, I apologise if Iâve done anything to-to damage your reputation-â
âIf anyone was going to ruin my reputation, it would not be you.â He cut in coolly. âYou are not exactly in a position to do so.â He gestured to a chair set out in front of his desk. âSit. We have much to discuss.â You did as he said, shifting around on the surprisingly soft seat, trying to get comfortable. He too, sat down in a chair he seemingly pulled out of the shadows of his room.
âIf you think it is better for not toâŚrun into each other more often, Sir, I understand that.â You started, leaning forwards in your seat. âI feel like rumours about-â you paused, unsure if you could refer to whatever the two of you were as âusâ, but decided to go with it anyway. âUs, have been following me for almost a week now and it could ruin any chance I have of becoming Chief Medical Officer because everyone thinks I just sleep around and havenât earned my place because of my family name.â You continued in frustration. âAnd it doesnât help that, no offence, you seem to acquire a range of injuries from who knows where, and nobody else seems to want to take up the job because theyâre convinced weâre having an affair or something â Iâm lucky my boss is sympathetic towards me otherwise I could have lost my job or been demoted by now.â The words seemed to tumble from your lips, unending.
âYou think my situation is any better?â Kylo stood, beginning to pace around the room. âI have the power of the Force, I can easily tell what people are thinking, and they do little to conceal their thoughts in my presence.â He spun on his heel, his bulking form towering over you. âI will not be taken for a fool by those pathetic enough to believe such rumours. I will not let them defile my name and my presence, or yours-â he cut himself off as his voice grew louder in anger. You stood as well, anxiously wringing your hands.
âI appreciate that, Sir.â You said quietly. âI know whatâs on the line for you, and Iâm sorry that it got this far. Maybe it would be better for a different medic to attend to your many injuries.â You felt more dejected than you probably should â after all this was a professional relationship.
âThat wonât be necessary. While I am sure your co-workers are capable at doing their job, I know that you are most familiar with what antidotes work with my body and what do not.â Kylo dismissed your suggestion.
âWell what do you suggest?â You asked, a hint of exasperation in your tone. âWhile I do enjoy your company, Sir, I donât want our meetings to affect your image.â There was a pause as Kylo took in your words.
âNo. I will not be bullied by my insubordinates.â You heard him say, almost to himself. âWe shouldnât even be having this conversation; I donât need to please the rest of the fleet â I just need them to win me this fight against the rebellion.â He strode to stand in front of you, and you gazed up at him. âI should not have to change my behaviour for them, and neither should you.â You opened your mouth in protest.
âBut Sir, I-â
âYou are under my protection. If there is anyone giving you trouble, you will report it straight to me.â He stood tall, not like that was hard for him to do, and you swallowed heavily, in awe of the sheer power he radiated. âThat is an order. Do you understand?â His voice grew quieter at the end of his sentence; but he was no less grand.
âYes, Sir.â You replied, suddenly finding it difficult to speak clearly, a smile visible on your face for the first time that day. âThank you, Sir.â
âI think weâre past the use of such formalities, considering that today youâve been accused of sleeping your way to power and I have been accused of doing such with someone of a lower station.â He said smoothly, his face as clear of emotion as ever.
âHow else should I address you?â You asked, slightly flustered. (And slightly stung by the âlower stationâ jab but it was the truth.) This must be one of the most bizarre days of my life, you thought to yourself, mind racing.
âYou strike me as an intelligent woman, Officer Y/N; surely you do not need me to spell it out for you. Obviously the usual title when others are present.â He said, now walking you towards his door, hands behind his back, his form looming over yours. âJust because I allowed you to address me as such in private, I must remind you I will not be as lenient when we are in public.â He said placidly.
You nodded in acknowledgement. Kylo it is then â that was the only less formal title that you could think of. âOf course. I wouldn't dream of doing any such thing, Kylo.â You saw the left corner of his mouth twitch ever so slightly at your words as he opened the door, allowing you to step through. âI do hope you don't over-exert yourself in training, or do anything to worsen your injuries.â You called as you started to walk back down the corridor. âIt would be a shame to meet again so prematurely.â For one of the most feared men in the galaxy, he isnât nearly as subtle as he thinks, your smile widening as you walk back in the direction of your room, and you could have sworn you heard a chuckle echo down the corridor behind you.

first meeting - kylo ren
word count: 3,482
warnings: language, sexual tension, some innuendos
this is just a little something that i wrote over winter break, after seeing the rise of skywalker. itâs the potential of something that is going to be more than one part. i donât have all of the star wars universe terminology quite yet, so sorry if i got something wrong! hope you guys like it :))Â
you crouched under a table in your home, sweat beading on your forehead. all you could hear were explosions, screaming, and the sounds of the blasters as the storm troopers fired them. the explosions made your home shudder, groaning as your ceiling fell to the ground in pieces.Â
fear and adrenaline overwhelmed you, coursing through your veins. the troopers had already taken most of your neighbors. who knew if you were next. you had no idea why they were here. why they were attacking your beloved city. why they were taking your friends and neighbors, killing them so swiftly. it made no sense to you; why there were all of these casualties for a pointless war.
however, the dark side had been battling with the light for eons. ever since you could remember, you heard stories and tales of the ongoing war. much of your town was in favor of the new first order, which made you question the attack further.
however, your main focus was to get out alive. it didnât matter the cost. you needed to survive.
suddenly, your door was flung open. you could hear the shouts of the troopers, their boots echoing in your home. you squeezed your eyes shut, preparing for a quick death.
yet, there was only the sound of one pair of thick boots on your floor. they stopped in front of you, your eyes remaining closed. who knew what was in front of you. rather, who was standing in front of you. did they have a gun? a blaster?
âi am not here to hurt you,â the voice was deep, thick with authority, âyou are to come with me.â
snapping your eyes open, your breath hitched in your throat. standing in front of you was none other than supreme leader himself, kylo ren.
he towered over you, his built frame covered in dark gear and robes. his robe billowed from behind him, swaying gently as wind entered the space through the open door. his mask, once intact, was scored with red marks. you assumed it was broken, then welded together once more. you swallowed, unsure of his next move. you could see the lightsaber hanging on his hip. you shivered, realizing how many lives heâd taken with that single weapon. yours could be next.
âyouâre going to t-take me?â your voice trembled with fear.
kylo did not move, âyes. you are to come with me. i am not going to harm you.â
âdo you promise?â you suddenly felt very small as you crept out from underneath the table.
âyou have my word,â the supreme leader responded, âcome. my men will escort you.â
âw-why are you taking me?â you stuttered, the adrenaline wearing off. now, shock overwhelmed you, along with confusion.
âwe will inform you later,â kylo marched ahead of you. he stopped, motioning for troopers, âescort the girl to the ship. if she is harmed, i will have you all executed. do you understand?â
âyes supreme leader,â the troopers echoed back, forming a protective barrier around you.
âs-supreme leader,â you began, your voice small.
he turned, âyes?â
âmy droid is missing,â you could feel his eyes boring into you, âhe went to help the others. heâs a small one. he hasnât returned. i need him, heâs my companion.â
âfind the droid,â kylo ordered to a pair of troopers, âif you do not find him, intact, both of you will die as well. i will just take the girl to the ship myself. the others, search for the droid.â
âyes supreme leader,â the troopers chorused, jogging off to search for your beloved droid.
âthank you,â you murmured.
kylo only grunted. he walked beside you, leading the way to his own small ship, which you assumed lead to the flagship of the first order. kylo got into the ship, awaiting for you to follow him. you realized very quickly that it was meant to be only one seat, and you would have to sit on the supreme leaderâs lap.
heat filled your cheeks, your face burning a bright red. kylo huffed, âdonât act like a juvenile about this. itâs for a few seconds.â
âs-sorry,â you felt like such an idiot for stumbling over your words. you climbed into the ship, settling yourself onto the supreme leaderâs open lap.
kylo ren started the pod, and you sat patiently on his lap as it ascended towards the ominous black ship in the atmosphere. you swallowed, feeling a cold sweat form.
to say you were terrified was an understatement. you had no idea where you going, when you would be able to go back home, if ever. there was a large possibility that the first order would wipe out the planet entirely. you bit your lip, taking in the sight of the ground beneath you. there was an odd beauty as fire engulfed your town. it was winter, so the snow glowed a bright orange. it was horrifying yet beautiful.
âcalm down,â his voice was quiet, âyour thoughts are loud.â
the blush on your cheeks only burned brighter, âsorry.â
âstop apologizing,â kylo rumbled, âonce we get on board, i will assign two guards for you at all times. from there, they will escort you to your designated quarters. after my briefing with general hux, i will explain everything to you myself. are we clear, (y/n) (l/n)?â
âcrystal,â you mumbled.
even though kylo ren had his mask on, you could feel his eyes staring into you as you gazed in awe at the massive flagship. he approached a loading dock, and landed softly. the pod opened, and kylo gently placed a gloved hand on the small of your back. you flinched, recognizing it was his way of informing you to get out.
you stood up from his lap, feeling the dozens of stares from troopers, generals, and other captains. kylo could almost feel your nervous energy, as it was static. he placed his hand on the small of your back once more, and you felt your anxiety subside slightly.
âi see the mission was a success, supreme leader,â general hux boomed.
âindeed,â kylo responded, his tone cold, âi need two troopers at her side at all times. she needs protection.â
âi donât need protection,â you mumbled. your voice was so low you werenât sure if the two men in front of you heard it.
âi donât care,â kylo snarled, âyou are extremely important to the first order. i donât care if you need protection or not, youâre getting it.â
âyour orders will be fulfilled,â hux nodded curtly, âi will have our finest soldiers at her side.â
âmy time here is done,â kylo announced, âgeneral hux, follow me. we have a briefing to discuss.â
kylo ren stormed off, his boots thudding against the black tile. you glanced down at your boots, unsure of what was to come next. you could almost feel your thoughts buzzing in your mind. why did the supreme leader of the first order spare your life? why did you need protection? where was your droid?
general hux motioned for two troopers to step forward. you could tell that the two were higher ranked, as they were donned in shiny, silver, armor, âthese are your guards, ms. (l/n). they are trained assassins under our best leaders. i hope you never feel as if youâre in danger, as we are here to protect you.â
âsuch a big hooplah over a civilian,â you rolled your eyes.
general hux raised a brow, but kept his cool composure, âyou sure have a pleasant attitude, donât you? escort her to her quarters. the supreme leader will be with her shortly.â
he turned, walking away towards a gate. a trooper stepped forward, a red band on his right bicep, âi am yo-988, but i am known as phoenix.â
âand i am yw-382, also referred to as bubba,â the other chipped in, donned with a red cape.
âso âyoâ and youâre welcome?â you stifled a giggled.
âi knew sheâd fucking say that,â phoenix sighed, âlisten, i hope you realize that weâre not going to harm you, or run super painful experiments on you.â
âyouâre actually really important to the supreme leader,â bubba nodded, âthatâs why we have blasters on us at all times. who knows what kind of dipshit could come in and try to kill you.â
âyou guys are scaring me more,â you huffed, pouting slightly.
âdonât be worried,â phoenix reassured you, his voice calm, âletâs get you to your quarters before the supreme leader throws a temper tantrum.â
âyou guys can talk about him like that?â you couldnât help but stifle a laugh.
bubba chuckled, âweâre his best shooters. we can say whatever the fuck we want.â
âheâs kind of intimidating,â you mumbled, following your escorts.
a part of you felt safer as phoenix and bubba escorted you to your quarters. having two friendly soldiers as your guards eased your anxiety. they were obviously close friends, as they cracked jokes about one another to make you laugh. you could tell they were younger, just by the way they talked. another part of you wondered how old they both were, and how long they had been working under the first order. had they been originally resistance turned evil? did they truly know why there was a war?
as you continued walking, you couldnât help but notice how oddly beautiful the first order ship was. it was so much more sleek than the ships you had seen in your life. the floor was a black marble tile, the walls a space grey. the corridors were full of white troopers. captains, admirals, medics, and engineers buzzed around, busy with tasks. everything was just so organized and neat. you couldnât help but gaze around in awe.
âmâlady,â phoenix cleared his throat, we have arrived at your quarters. now, if you need anything, feel free to holler. bubba and i will be outside, guarding the door. once kylo ren arrives from his briefing however, we will be dismissed for dinner.â
bubba opened the door for you, and you let out a gasp. the room designated as your quarters was absolutely beautiful. the walls were a black, matching the marble floor. your bed was large, almost too big. there was a fully operable kitchenette, complete with a small, cozy nook. the nook was inside a wall, as shelves surrounded it. however, the aspect that took your breath away was the view. your room possessed viewports, with a full view of the galaxy and planets surrounding the ship.
âthis is mine?â you breathed, stepping several feet into the room.
âit is,â bubba confirmed, âthe supreme leader requested this room for you specifically.â
âis he in love with me or something?â you turned, raising a brow.
âeveryone falls in love with you at first sight darlinâ,â phoenix flirted, âyouâre just a beautiful woman, and that personality of yours is very charm-.â
âi see youâve found your quarters due to your guardsâ help,â kyloâs voice rang through the room. he stood at the door, his aura full of irritation.
âwe fulfilled the assignment sir,â bubbaâs tone was courteous.
âgood,â kylo was cold, âyo-988, and yw-382, both of you are dismissed.â
âyes, supreme leader,â bubba and phoenix saluted kylo, then marched out of the room. once they were gone, kylo waved his hand at the doors, closing them. you shivered, feeling the room grow colder.
âyou can sit on your bed, (y/n),â kyloâs tone was softer, âor do i frighten you?â
âyou donât,â you responded.
then why are you so tense? kyloâs voice rang through your thoughts, making you freeze.
âhow can you do that?â you demanded.
âi have been trained,â he responded, âplease, sit.â
âtake off that mask,â you snorted, âthen maybe i will.â
kylo sighed, and placed his hands under his mask. he pulled it off, setting it on a desk beside him. once you got a good look at him, your breathing hitched in your throat.
kylo ren was extremely handsome, with a pale complexion, thick black hair, and rich brown eyes. his skin had red undertones, and they were apparent as he looked at you. his jawline was prominent, and a thick scar ran down a side of his face. he looked no older than twenty-five.
âwere you expecting someone older?â his voice was deep, but slightly higher without the mask.
âhonestly,â you murmured, âa little bit. maybe a man in his later thirties, early forties.â
you couldnât help but feel drawn towards him as you both stood there, gazing at one another. you took a few steps closer to him, reaching to touch his cheek. he complied, allowing you to cup your right hand on his face. your thumb traced his cheekbone, and his eyes searched yours.
âsupreme leader,â you began.
âkylo,â he cut you off, âyouâre allowed to call me kylo.â
âam i the only one?â biting your lip, you couldnât help but ask the question. this special treatment was making you wonder his true intentions. along with the fact that you had so many other questions. you wanted to ask questions but you knew you needed answers.
âyes,â he answered, âyouâre the only one who can call me kylo. the others, itâs kylo ren, supreme leader, or supreme leader kylo ren.â Â
âwhy am i here?â the question tumbled out of your mouth.
âmany reasons,â kylo replied, taking your hand off his cheek. he walked towards the viewport, facing the outside.
âcan you at least tell me one?â your voice was soft.
âi had a vision,â kylo admitted, his reflection gazing at you, âit was an extremely vivid vision.â
âso you kidnapped me because you had a vision?â you couldnât help but pry. you were finally gaining some answers.
âwe are destined to rule together,â kylo stated, his tone cool, â(y/n), you may not realize it, but you are very important. you have some abilities that enable you to utilize the force. there is another girl, a plain scavenger. however, she is not tied to the first order like you. i feel such a stronger connection with you. i knew once i had my vision, that it was imperative that i find you.â
you swallowed, âis that why i dreamt of you the other night?â
that was in fact true. a few nights ago, before the attack on your town, you had a dream about the supreme leader. you didnât know his face, but it was a dream foretelling your encounter. you suddenly realized that you dreamt about it the other night.
âi may have crept into your thoughts that night,â kylo admitted. you could tell he was slightly embarrassed, âi wanted you to have an idea of me in your mind.â
âthatâs a sure fire way to get with a lady,â you joked, rolling your eyes playfully.
in the viewport, you could see kyloâs lips curve into a smile, âit worked.â
âi am shocked,â you teased, âthe supreme leader, the man who is feared by all, has a sense of humor.â
âi am human,â kylo scoffed, âhowever, this temperament is only around you. i have an image to uphold. i need the others to fear me.â
âthey do,â you nodded, âthey really do.â
âif general hux, yo-988, or yw-382 ever get out of line,â kylo began, âi need to know. immediately.â
âoh come on,â you groaned, âphoenix was just flirting, kylo. it was innocent.â
âi donât want every man flirting with you. in fact, i donât want any man on this ship, or woman, flirting with you,â kylo was solemn, âthey are aware of what will happen if they do not obey my orders.â
âi will be fine,â you sat on your bed, âbesides, itâs not like iâm some princess or anything.â
he started to walk towards your doors, âyou donât understand. if anything happens to you, i donât know what i would do.â
âwe just met.â you couldnât help but feel overwhelmed by all of the information that was just thrown at you. all you wanted was to just be by yourself for a moment.
âand we have a connection,â kylo retorted, his eyes ablaze, âand itâs stronger than i thought.â
âoh come on, spare me that bullshit-â
âno, you feel it too,â he retaliated, âwhen i came across you, i couldnât help but know that we have a bond that nothing in this universe can break. if you really didnât want this, you would have resisted.â
âkylo,â you began, feeling tears brim your eyes, âi just donât know what to do or how to feel with all of this new information. this isnât my home. you destroyed my home. how am i really supposed to feel right now? i donât even have the one thing thatâs closest to me right now.â
kylo sensed the shift in your emotion, his facial features softening. he ran a hand through his hair, feeling sympathy for you. he understood your anger, your hurt. you had your home ripped away from you, and you had no idea how to cope.
âi am going to check on the status of your droid,â kylo murmured, âalert yo-988 or yw-382 if you need anything. i will report back promptly.â
he picked up his mask, sliding it over his face. you felt a slight flash of sadness, as you didnât get a chance to memorize his face before it was gone. the only sound made was the thud of his boots against the floor as he exited the room. some words were exchanged between him and your guards, as you sat on your bed, tears spilling down your cheeks.
â(y/n)?â phoenix coughed, knocking on the doors, âwe just got word. we found your droid.â
immediately, you sat up on your bed, âbring him to me, please!â
âi will have a captain bring him to you,â phoenix responded, radioing who you assumed to be a captain.
as you waited for your droid, you could feel hope wash over you. you didnât care about your home, as long as you had your droid, jet. he was a small one, with one wheel and a cone shaped head, paired with a large attitude. you were sure he was just as frightened as you were.
getting out of the bed, you waiting patiently beside bubba and phoenix, awaiting the arrival of jet. boots thudded in the hallway, and you recognized them immediately. kylo ren emerged from the corridor, jet trailing after him.
âjet!â you cried, opening your arms. once jet realized you were there, he sped past kylo, embracing you with his body.
âshe can speak droid?â bubba chuckled.
jet whistled at bubba angrily. you laughed, âtheyâre my body guards. we get special treatment on this ship. did any of those troopers handle you roughly?â
jet shook his head no, âno.â
âdid that bad, mean, man over there give you any trouble?â you cooed, fixing jetâs antennae.
donât make me punish you. kyloâs voice rang through your head. you swallowed, blushing slightly.
and no, i am not joking. you could almost see kylo smirking underneath his mask. he knew you were starting to become flustered.
âitâs getting late,â phoenix stated, âand youâve have a long day, ms. (l/n). tomorrow, the supreme leader wishes to have a meal with you, at first sunlight.â
âat first sunlight?â you glanced up at kylo, who was watching over you and jet.
âsunrise,â bubba repeated, âthat is when we are going to be relieved for our duties until noon. we have to sleep too ya know.â
âdo not speak to her-â kylo began, his voice menacingly quiet.
âthey have a right to joke with me,â you retorted, âthey are stationed with me practically twenty-four seven, because of your orders. now, i am going to go into my quarters, where i am going to catch up with my droid. goodnight,
phoenix, and goodnight bubba.â
âgoodnight, (y/n),â bubba and phoenix chorused back, happy to be called by their nicknames.
without saying a goodnight to kylo, you whisked jet into your arms, slamming the doors shut behind you. it was about midnight, approximately four hours since you had been kidnapped. well, not kidnapped. more like taken against your will, but itâs not like you had a choice.
kylo was right. you two had a bond that was extremely strong. even though you were mad at him for being so rude to bubba, you wanted nothing more to see his face again.
with jet on the edge of your bed, you stared at the ceiling, thinking about kylo. who knew the secrets youâd find out tomorrow. maybe if you were lucky, the two of you would spend time alone, where youâd see his more vulnerable side.
i forgot to tell you, you heard kylo in your thoughts, his deep voice soothing. youâre extremely beautiful, (y/n). sleep well.
you fell asleep, with a small smile on your face.

Rian Johnson is a gift to us all (a compilation)
or: some quotes to cleanse the palate after all the bs weâve been getting
âTo me, these movies are always, to some extent, about the transition from childhood into adulthood. When I hear [George] Lucas quoted as saying, âThese movies are for kids,â it doesnât mean theyâre for little kids who laugh and point at creatures farting. It means that theyâre about kids who are on the cusp of adolescence and about to transition through those stormy waters into being an adult and finding their place in this world. The heroâs journey, the myth that Joseph Campbell writes about, that Lucas famously pulled from, itâs not about becoming a hero. Itâs not about becoming Hercules. The heroâs journey is really about adolescence. Itâs about becoming an adult.â (starwars.com)
(On taking over the story) âMy goal was really just to make something that felt like a straight line going forward from VII that made sense to me. Rather than come up with some crazy take on what it would be and then figure out how I get there, I was really just trying to continue the line forward in a way that made sense.â (starwars.com)
âI think Rey and Kylo are almost like a dual protagonist. You identify with Rey, but also you identify with Kylo in a way that you never did with Vader. I know I do. Because if these movies are about adolescence, Kylo is that anger of adolescence and that rejection of the parents, and wanting to screw over your dad; and thatâs something that all of us, to some degree, can identify with. And the idea of there being a bad guy who you identify with as much as you do the protagonist in some way, thatâs really interesting.â (comicbook)
âThatâs why Rey is so angry with him just saying, âScrew youâ basically in the first few Force connections, because my assumption is thatâs how weâre gonna feel about him coming into this movie. How to transition him slowly from there to here in a way that was plausible through Reyâs eyes. The notion that Rey sees this opportunity in him. Maybe she sees something more than that in him to earn this connection, I guess. That was something we spent a lot of time â Adam, and Daisy, and I kinda talking through how we were gonna get there.â (TLJ commentary)
âSo these Force connections⌠when I was writing the script, I knew that I needed Kylo and Rey â wanted to form, to delve more into that relationship. [...] I just wanted to make them talk. So I thought of the idea of this, âOkay, what if a new kind of connection happens between them?â And we had to figure out how it would look like⌠I kept thinking, I want it to just be intimate. I donât want any kind of swirling, magical kind of thing. I donât want it to be about the effect of how theyâre looking at each other. I wanted it to be painfully intimate, just like youâre sitting across from someone and talking.â (TLJ commentary)
âFor me, there is some kind of primal connection between Rey and Kylo. The fact that even though theyâre on opposite poles, and heâs kind of a hateful character and sheâs an incredibly good character, the fact that theyâre both the only ones who have this power in the movie. And theyâre kind of on these two opposite islands, thereâs some connection between them. Beyond that though, I needed her to have an actual, buyable justification for why she would go and think that she can turn him, and lay out for Luke that, âIf I do that, this could actually win the day. So that felt very, very important to me.â (TLJ commentary)
â[What do you think is special about Rey and Kyloâs relationship?] Well, to me, it was one of the most fascinating relationships in The Force Awakens. Thatâs why I was just immediately drawn to figure out how to get these two talking to each other. I want to connect these two. I think itâs so fascinating because in a way, theyâre simultaneously opposites, in terms of heâs Dark Side, sheâs Light Side. Heâs got the worst intention, she has the best. At the same time, theyâre the same. At the same time, theyâre alone in the same way that they both have this power, that is incredibly powerful inside them, that gives them all this potential. And theyâre both kinda figuring out what theyâre gonna do with it.â (SXSW Q&A)
âI disagreed with John Williams twice regarding the score. For example, there's a scene where Kylo Ren and Rey touch hands, before they are interrupted by Luke Skywalker. When John wrote the score, he was very protective of Rey's character, exactly as is Luke. Kyloâs presence was menacing, musically speaking. It's a valid point of view, but I didn't think of the scene like that. I wanted it to stay on Rey's POV: I wanted that we could believe in this romance.â (SFRPresse)
âTo me thatâs one of my favourite shots in the movie. Just those two fingers touching. Itâs the closest thing weâll get to a sex scene in a Star Wars movie.â (SXSW Q&A)
(On the Throne Room Proposal) âFrom his point of view, itâs a very naked, open, emotional appeal. Itâs his version of âIâm just a girl standing in front of a guy asking [him to love her].â Itâs Kyloâs sick, evil version of that but from his perspective, the same way that when he tells his version of the story with Luke, I donât think heâs lying. Thatâs his experience of that moment, and I think heâs telling it honestly.â (Empire)
âI think that this is something that he genuinely saw, and genuinely believes that because of this connection [they share], basically. Itâs less like, âI can use this on her.â Itâs more, âOh my god, we have this in common, this is more of a kindred spirit that even she realizes.â I donât think heâs playing chess here.â (Buzzfeed)
âKylo appears to believe that Rey was discarded by her parents, much like he feels his parents, Han and Leia, discarded him.â (Buzzfeednews)
(On Rey Nobody) âI like the idea that weâre breaking out from the notion that the force is this genetic thing that you have to be tied to somebody to have.â (Empire)
"It's a lot more interesting to me, the idea that anyone can pick up the flag and start running forward with it at the head of the army, as opposed to, no, you have to be of this lineage, you have to be the Chosen One. I don't want to step on any mythology. I don't mean that you can decide to be the Chosen One from the Force, because obviously you can't. I just mean in life, anyone can pick up the flag and be a hero.â (Buzzfeed)
âThe original trilogy and the prequel trilogy being the story of the Skywalkers made sense. I think now if we want to keep telling stories in this world, and I do, it has to move beyond that." (Buzzfeed)
âWhen people ask me, âDonât you think people are going to get sick of Star Wars movies?â to me that question indicates that theyâre thinking of Star Wars movies as a museum exhibit that is wheeled out once a year so you can say, âOh, I loved that thing. Oh, I remember that thing!â And yes, if Star Wars is that, people are going to get sick of it really quickly.
âBut if Star Wars are great new movies that are exciting and fresh, and that challenge you and surprise you and make you feel things and engage you the way that those original movies didâbut always taking you to new places, both in the galaxy and emotionallyâthatâs never going to get old. Thatâs what itâs all about.â (SXSW)

Lando's appearance in TROS is infuriating
I wanted Lando's appearance in this stupid fucking movie to be something good. But as always, they wasted Billy Dee's and our fucking time.
Would we find out that Lando Calrissian is Senator of Bespin who brings the remnants of the New Republic to aid The Resistance? No.
Would he be leading the Resistance after Han's death, Leia's message and Luke's sacrifice? lolno
In fact. Lando never mentions Han. He never mentions his nephew. "I miss Han." "I will always love the little boy you used to be, Ben. But you are a monster." Hell, there isnât even a scene of Ben reaching out to Lando during his redemption. Ben couldâve signaled Lando for Help, Lando and Chewie would pick him up and they could make peace so Ben could save Rey. It could also be explained that they drop Ben off on Exegol via escape pods while Lando leads the fleet in the Battle of Exegol.
Is Lando giving inspiring and rousing speeches to motivate The Resistance? No, instead Lando listens to Poe.
Lando barely has a relationship with Finn and Poe, when he should have a mentorship with Poe and since he lost a child to The First Order, shouldnât Finn have emphasized with him since he himself was a child soldier?
Luke and Lando were looking for the Wayfinders together apparently...any reason why it's not Luke and Leia? You know, ANAKIN'S CHILDREN and at this point, Leia is somewhat trained as a Jedi.
Apparently Lando stayed on Pasana after his kids was stolen.....Yeah this is complete and utter bullshit. You mean to tell me that Lando couldn't ask his old buddy Han for help? Han and Chewie would stop at nothing to search and find Lando's lost child.
"Landonis Balthazar Calrissian" Disney.....do you have to ruin everything? Even a simple name isn't enough for you is it?
"We had each other." No. No. No. You complete and utter blithering fucking idiots. Unlike the Resistance, the Rebel Alliance had a proper military which included different cells, Â thousands of soldiers and pilots determined to give up their lives for a cause greater than themselves. Luke, Han, Leia and Lando may have had leadership roles in the Rebellion, but they weren't the only ones who defeated the Empire. Hell, Rebels addresses this theme somewhat with Hera constantly making speeches about how the Lothal crew is fighting a fight bigger than themselves, but they were doing it so the galaxy could be free. This was before the events of the original trilogy.
Also Lando? "Not ready" Luke, Leia, Han, Lando, Chewie, Artoo didn't sit around whining about how they weren't "ready" - they went out and did the thing, with the rest of the Rebel Alliance.
But the most infuriating and egregious thing about Lando in this shitstain of a movie is the fact that he is wearing the same fucking outfit from Solo. Lando is the definition of style, charm and fucking fashion porn. Are you fucking shitting me? You seriously couldn't give him a new outfit?
Does Lando decide to help out Poe with governing the Republic and helping to bring peace to the galaxy(think of it, Chancellor Calrissian has a nice ring to it) lolno but it's okay, we have an underdeveloped father and daughter storyline. Yay?
The most frustrating thing about Lando is the fact that they only brought him back when Carrie Fisher passed away. I'll never not be convinced that adding Lando (and Billy Dee) never crossed their minds until they felt the need to course-correct after TLJ.
Here are ways they couldâve used Lando in TFA and TLJ
If they had wanted to include Lando (even as a cameo) in TFA... you know what would've been the perfect role for him? Someone who owns a well known watering hole, a place Han might have taken a couple wanted kids in confidence.... someone who, because they used to run Bespin, might actually make a lick of sense to have Anakin's previously lost lightsaber. Someone of good reputation with both the legit and less savory members of the galaxy... someone who would definitely know about casino planets and code breakers. So NOT Maz Kanata, Lando. Also, if you needed to have someone explain the Lightsaber and the force to Finn and Rey, why not Leia?
TLJ Pitch 1. Lando should have been The Master Codebreaker. Letâs look at Mazâs description for the Master Codebreaker "He's a master codebreaker, an ace pilot, a poet with a blaster." That sure does sound like fucking Lando to me. It still baffles me that they gave us a casino planet in TLJ but then chose to not include Lando in that setting although he was introduced as a gambler back in TESB. Lando is the person Finn and Rose are meant to meet, the one in the Indiana Jones type tuxedo and has the a red plom bloom. Only, Finn and Rose actually parks legally and doesnât get stupidly arrested. Lando is on Canto Bight to grieve in his own way for Han, but also because heâs doing a stakeout on Crime Lord  King Prana(played by Benico del Toro and King Prana was set up by being the guy Han was gonna sell Raftars to) Finn and Rose help Lando out and in exchange, Lando helps Finn and Rose in their quest to disable the Hyperspace Tracker. We also get to see Lando and FInn both grieve for Han. So yes, Lando would be able to disable the Hyperspace tracker, but Phasma would catch them on their way to the escape pods.Â
Pitch 2. Lando brings the remnants of the New Republic after hearing Leiaâs message. After Leiaâs signal and Lukeâs sacrifice, Hux informs Kylo Ren that they have the Falcon in their sights(keep in mind they have their fleet in orbit) a massive fleet appearing in the planetâs orbit. Ships of all different sizes and shapes, from countless planets throughout the galaxy, lead by Lando Calrissian flying his flagship the Lady Luck! Uniting and standing up to the First Order for once. They donât even have to attack, just show up and fire a few shots to blow up a few walkers or something as the First Order retreats in a panic. Prior to Luke's sacrifice. we find out that he appeared as a hologram to several major New Republic leaders in the galaxy, calling them to arms. He then bought the Resistance time to hold out until help arrived. Together with Leiaâs signal and Lukeâs message. New The Republic is united in facing The First Order. Â
Then in TROS, we couldâve seen him as the esteemed Admiral Calrissian. Leading the Republic fleets and mentoring Finn and Poe. We couldâve introduced Jannah as his daughter instead of pointlessly taking away Finnâs backstory. Lando tells Poe that he will honor Leiaâs wish that Ben would return home, depending on what choice he makes. If Ben chooses the light, Lando will welcome him back and help him on his path of atonement, if he chooses to stay in darkness, he will be tried for crimes against the Republic. Naturally Ben would seek Lando out for help. Lando and Chewie would fly Ben to Exegol so Ben and Rey can destroy Palpatine. Celebration. Rey, Finn, Poe, Rose, Jannah and Ben. While Lando and Chewie are happy that their nephew is alive. We could have novels telling us that Lando became Chancellor while Rey, FInn, Poe, Jannah, Rose and Ben help Lando heal the galaxy.Â
Thatâs how Lando should have been handled in the Sequel Trilogy

(in response to this post)
This turned out really, really long, so, uh, apologies? The short version is that the number one rule is that your legacy characters donât undercut your main cast.
I think Rogue One and Solo pulled it off -- Solo is a weirder case because itâs a prequel story about a main character, but Rogue Oneâs use of Tarkin, Vader, Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, etc. worked for me because from the beginning they were there to support the original characters in the film and never wavered from that. Rogue One also benefited from knowing exactly what it was going to do and never wavering from that for an instant.
In terms of the shows, TCW is also not a straightforward case because it was using film characters as its mains and pulling from all over, but in terms of OT characters that appeared in the show, I am pretty happy with how TCW pulled off Chewbacca in Wookiee Hunt (3.22) -- puts him there, uses him well to support the main character of that particular arc (Ahsoka) and the other supporting characters (the other youngling Jedi), but it doesnât turn into the Chewie episode. Same with Ackbar in the Mon Cala arc in S4: support, not overwhelming, doesnât waver from the central theme of the arc. Tarkinâs the other big one, and Iâm pretty satisfied with the way he was used in TCW -- heâs always there in reference to the main characters of the arcs he appears in, and not in reference to himself, if that makes sense -- heâs there because having him there specifically makes more sense than it doesnât.
(Honestly, I think the little philosophical lessons really helped with TCW being able to keep its focus: they have to drive straight towards that and not hesitate about it. Every time they dropped those (Iâm talking about you, Siege of Mandalore), they ran into a problem where they sort of wandered around a bit.)
Maul...I like Maul a lot. I donât have that much of a problem with the decision to bring him back into the timeline in TCW (at least you always knew that when George Lucas was doing something he was doing it because he enjoyed it, instead of the current case of âare you doing it for a purpose? for cheap lulz? for the aesthetic? are you setting up a sequel? are you trying to course-correct another piece of canon?â). I do think Maul got overweighted in S7, and this is partially because they didnât really have the space to build him up from where he ended in S5. The Darth Maul - Son of Dathomir comic helps a little, but S7 is such a rapid switch from where he is in S5 (and you do have to assume that most viewers hadnât read the comic) that he then pulls in too much narrative weight, and thatâs because S7 was trying to do something really, really different from what the previous six seasons of TCW were trying to do.
Rebels sometimes pulls it off, sometimes does not. Since weâre on the topic of Maul already, I am actually fine with Maul in Rebels. I donât actually think he was used to his full benefit because they pulled back at the last minute, but Maul in Twilight of the Apprentice? Fine with that. Same with Holocrons of Fate and Visions and Voices. (Iâve got a few other problems with Visions and Voices.) Maul is always there in relation to the main characters of the show, not in relation to himself and not in relation to a non-Rebels character. Did it have to be Maul (back in TotA, obvs, not the latter two)? No, but it makes sense and it works really well thematically with all of the characters present in that episode. Holocrons and Visions and Voices, same.
Twin Suns, on the other hand, another Maul episode, was a disaster -- beautifully made episode, everyone is in character, it should never have been made. (Iâm currently grumpy about this one specifically because I recently saw an âEzra shouldnât have been in Twin Sunsâ take.) Yes, Maul and Obi-Wan are both interacting with Ezra, but Ezra in this ep is basically himself the McGuffin. Neither the actual, thematic, or emotional conflict in the episode revolves around Ezra even if heâs the instigator of that final showdown. If you can start and end an episode without the showâs main cast (and Rebels differs from TCW in that it did, very specifically, have a main character as well as a main cast), youâve made a mistake. Not to mention that Twin Suns takes a bunch of narrative and thematic weight that was set in TotA and earlier in S3 (such as the Maul/Kanan and Maul/Ezra parallels), and then completely ignores it in favor of a confrontation that is not going to be emotionally significant for viewers who are there for the showâs main cast.
Darth Vader mostly works in Rebels -- in S2 in isolation, not as part of the greater Rebels plot arc which is a weird hot mess of deescalating villains season by season (a whole ânother thing). In Siege of Lothal heâs set up in relation to the main cast and thatâs who most of his interaction is with. Same with TotA, though I sometimes think more weight is put on the Vader/Ahsoka duel than should be there in terms of who the main cast are. Sometimes I think itâs fine as is. His other brief appearances are fine, since heâs mostly there just to loom and use up the fabric animation budget.
Tarkin really works in Rebels -- this is honestly Rebelsâ biggest legacy character success, my gods, his introduction in Call to Action is terrifying. Did it have to be Tarkin? No, they could have made an OC and had the same role, but Tarkin here, in this context? It ups the tension level a thousand percent, we see him ordering around the Imperials in the show (and the execution scene still gives me chills), and the end of Call to Action, when heâs talking to Kanan on the gunship and orders the destruction of the communications tower? This is easily one of the most terrifying thing Rebels has ever done and to be honest, Iâm not sure they ever topped it in terms of sheer presence. Evacuating the star destroyer in Fire Across the Galaxy? Perfect parallel to ANH.
From S2-S4, Rebels really wavers back and forth on their use of legacy characters and this is true of the show as a whole from that point onwards -- when thereâs a legacy character, they tend to be overweighted in terms of the episode and in terms of how much narrative space is given to them rather than to the main cast. Not all the time (I have issues with the S4 Mandalore arc, but I think Bo-Katan was played fairly well because most of the narrative weight was still on Sabine), but a lot of the time. The Future of the Force is really bad on this in terms of Ahsoka -- most of the episode is still focused on Kanan and Ezra, but then theyâre taken off the board so she can have her dramatic fight scene. Shroud of Darkness -- I go back and forth. (I have other issues with Shroud.) Leia in A Princess on Lothal -- mostly okay, but some weird moments, like using her to rally the Ghost crew into action?
Wedge in The Antilles Extraction -- fine Heâs played in relation to Sabine, his presence in the ep is thematically consistent with everything else theyâre doing. Saw Gerrera in both S3 and S4 I really go back and forth on. I think Iâm mostly okay with him in terms of how heâs played in those four episodes, but I also think there are a lot of questions raised in terms of, like, his relationship to the Alliance. (This goes for his appearance in Jedi Fallen Order as well -- Iâm fine with it, itâs not mindblowing, it was nice to see.) Mon Mothma I go back and forth on and part of this is because Iâm not entirely sure what they were doing with the Rebel Alliance -- this same thing is true for Saw Gerrera. Especially in the back half of S3 (though it appears earlier as well), Rebels is intersecting more and more with the Rebel Alliance in the lead-up to Rogue One and ANH, but I donât think they were really entirely sure what they wanted to do with that thematically, which is how we get these wildly varying views of the Alliance even from within it, especially in S4. Which is part of the reason why S4 thematically is A DISASTER. (yâall I should not have come out of S4 hating the Rebel Alliance and I still canât tell if they did that on purpose or not?)
Iâm not mentioning every legacy character in Rebels here (Cham, Hondo, Madine, C-3PO and R2-D2, Bail Organa), but mostly the ones where they pay major roles. Rex I think Rebels mostly managed to pull off having as treating him like supporting cast and not overweighting him as character. -- The clone trio at the beginning of S2 has them in relation to Kanan, Ezra, Kallus and the stormtroopers, etc., not just in relation to themselves.
(I have no idea how to talk about Thrawn in this context because Thrawn isnât exactly a legacy character from the current canon, but on the other hand heâs a major EU legacy character, so heâs also just a weird god damn case in general that doesnât really have a parallel in current canon?)
What else we got -- Star Wars Resistance; doesnât use that many legacy characters but uses the ones it has pretty sparingly. Poe is always there in relation to Kaz, Leia has a very brief appearance, Phasma and Hux are mostly there because it makes sense for them to be there, same with Kylo Ren. Resistance has its issues (both thematically and with pacing) but this is not one of them).
Jedi Fallen Order -- Saw was fine; Vader wasnât overweighted once he showed up. Battlefront II had its legacy characters almost entirely in context of Iden and Del; they werenât there just to be there. (And not being a gamer Iâm not one hundred percent certain how those two felt in actual playing, vs. my watching them on YT.)
(I am not terribly familiar with the current canon books and comics because I stopped reading them a while ago.)
Non-canon example from Legends: Han Soloâs appearance in the Wraith Squadron novels.
The short version of this is: if youâre going to use legacy characters, you want them to be there in relation to your main cast. It has to work thematically; they canât undercut your mains. Their stories, no matter how important to the saga as a whole, should not overwhelm the main cast of your actual show/film/game/whatever. And they definitely should not undercut your mains. (I think Mando did this fine with Bo-Katan, tbh.)

Old School X is a project interviewing X-Files fanfic authors who were posting fic during the original run of the show. New interviews are posted every Tuesday.
Interview with Vickie Moseley
Vickie Moseley has 252 stories at Gossamer, some of which have also made their way to AO3. She has obviously contributed a ton to the fandom over the years! Iâve recced some of my favorites of her stories here before, including Giving Thanks, Stunned, and a bunch of post-eps for particular episodes, including âFirewalkerâ and âPine Bluff Variant.â Big thanks to Vickie for doing this interview.
Does it surprise you that people are still interested in reading your X-Files fanfics and others that were posted during the original run of the show (1993-2002)?
Not really. Well, actually, it has always surprised me that anyone would read my stories even during the heyday of the series, but thatâs my self-consciousness talking. That people are discovering The X-Files is not at all surprising and that they are stumbling on fan fic is a natural extension and I find that wonderful. My husband and I never watched Grimm when it was on network TV and weâre currently going through that series, so itâs the streaming-on-demand-there-isnât-anything-new-on-TV times we find ourselves.
What do you think of when you think about your X-Files fandom experience? What did you take away from it?
Friendships. I have a group of women that Iâve been friends with for over 20 years. Until this year we gathered in person every year. We are in contact on Facebook messenger all the time and a conversation will start up just out of thin air when we havenât conversed for months! Itâs been wonderful knowing these women from all parts of the country (and the world for that matter).
And strangely enough, medical research. My writing tended to focus on âinjured Mulderâ (or Mulder Torture as we termed it) and I also liked reading that in fan fic. Two years ago this managed to help me in real life. My husband experienced a bilateral pneumothorax (both lungs collapsed spontaneously). One of my favorite stories that I have read and reread is âShort of Breathâ by the incomparable dee_ayy. She did some serious research while writing that story and itâs all in that fan fiction. Iâm not saying itâs the same as a medical degree, but I knew what was happening, why the doctors where performing certain procedures and it really eased my mind as we went through the whole experience. I never would have known what was going on if I hadnât read that story so many times.
Social media didn't really exist during the show's original run. How were you most involved with the X-Files online (atxc, message board, email mailing list, etc.)?
Email was the âsocial mediaâ for the day. That, and newsfeeds. There were two newsfeeds in the beginning: the official FOX website had a message board, and there was one on âalt.tvâ which was an internet newsfeed where fans posted spoilers and discussed episodes. The alt.tv newsfeed got tired of the fan fic writers posting stories so a separate newsfeed was formed just for fan fic. EMXC, which was an AOL mailing list, was invite only and somewhat exclusive at first, but opened up to everyone. When the old OSU (Ohio State University) mailing list turned into Gossamer and Ephemeral, the fandom, and fan fic just skyrocketed.
But what you lived for the most, as a writer, was actual feedback. Emails from people all over who read your story. It was nice to get a quick âHey, read this and really like it!â but the wonderful emails, the ones you kept in folders on your inbox, were the ones that went into detail, sometimes critical, sometimes grammar related, but always showing where you could improve, or where you touched someone. Every friend I have from the fandom started as feedback, either to me or from me. Iâm on AO3 and I appreciate âkudosâ but I really love getting comments.
What did you take away from your experience with X-Files fic or with the fandom in general?
Confidence in my writing. I learned a lot from other writers. Constructive feedback was a gift! I may never write the great American novel but I donât think Iâm afraid to give it a shot after all my years in fan fic.
What was it that got you hooked on the X-Files as a show?
They had me at âaliensâ. Iâm a sucker for UFO shows. Was front row center at Close Encounters of the Third Kind, read many of the UFO standards, still watch Ancient Aliens on History Channel. I was waiting for The X-Files based on the tiny blurb in the 1993 Fall Preview Guide from TV Guide.
What got you involved with X-Files fanfic?
I kinda got fired from a job I loved and couldnât go back into that arena for a long time. I was so depressed I was cleaning out my kitchen cabinets. My husband âgaveâ me the internet for my birthday just to get me out of the dumps. I went straight to âyahooâ and typed in X Files. After reading all the character bios I saw a âhyperlinkâ (yes, thatâs what we called them in 1995) to something called âfan fictionâ. It was the OSU tree directory of about 100 fan fiction stories. I was instantly hooked.
What is your relationship like now to X-Files fandom?
I still love the show and all the fans I run across. I was not happy with S8 or S9 but I did watch The Truth. I was on Haven for a while during the reboots (S10 and S11) but it wasnât the same. Iâve got all the seasons on DVD or blu ray and both movies. When I hear from fans, Iâm so happy to connect but I donât go out and look for new stories anymore.
Were you involved with any fandoms after the X-Files? If so, what was it like compared to X-Files?
None. My heart belongs to Mulder ;)
Who are some of your favorite fictional characters? Why?
Captain Kirk, Spock, Captain Picard, Will Riker, Luke, Han, Leia, Poe, Rae, Kylo at the end. I like strong characters but itâs OK if they have flaws. Iâd like to see more strong female leads in science fiction (Gammora and Nebula are favs of mine, too). I love Brea Larsonâs portrayal of Captain Marvel! Â
Do you ever still watch The X-Files or think about Mulder and Scully?
Sure. When the Pandemic hit we started going through the series for maybe the 20th time. Itâs nice to watch them on a larger TV screen. Kim Manners was a genius with lighting and showing just enough of the âmonsterâ. I suspect he will be better appreciated in the future than he was at the time he was alive.
Do you ever still read X-Files fic? Fic in another fandom?
I still go back and read my favorites from XF. I read Blood Ties by Dawn about once a year, the whole series. I go back and read the Virtual Season X seasons. We had some really good stories in those years.
Do you have any favorite X-Files fanfic stories or authors?
Too many to list! Dawn, of course. Susan Proto (I co-wrote with her), Sally Bahnsen, dee_ayy, Suzanne Bickerstaffâs Magician Series was the first (and only) fantasy I ever truly liked! I loved all my co-writers and there are plenty of writers that I wish weâd gotten around to collaborating.
What is your favorite of your own fics, X-Files and/or otherwise?
Iâm proud of Out of the Cold because itâs Mulder before Scully. Iâm partial to the Flight Into Egypt series because I like ârightingâ what I thought Carter got wrong in the end.
Do you think you'll ever write another X-Files story? Or dust off and post an oldie that for whatever reason never made it online?
I keep trying! Iâm working (have been working for almost a decade now) on a Flight Into Egypt story set at Christmas. Each fall I drag it out of mothballs, write a paragraph or two and get busy doing Christmas stuff. Funny, but it was easier to find time to write when I was a working mom of 6 than as a retired grandma of 3.
Do you still write fic now? Or other creative work?
Iâm putting together a cookbook for my kids and grandkids of all our family recipes. Itâs not just the recipes, but the stories behind them. Itâs a WIP (work in progress).
Where do you get ideas for stories?
I had a book, just a cheap paperback of unexplained eventsâall true stories, supposedlyâthat I got a lot of ideas from. Or, like Carter, I would see something in the news and it would turn into a story. One time I had a dream about our Pur water filter and it turned into a fan fic.
What's the story behind your pen name?
My older sister named me because my Mom and Dad let her. I never used a pen name. Thatâs my real name, you can google me and find out all about me. I used to have a wiki page or so my kids told me.
Do your friends and family know about your fic and, if so, what have been their reactions?
My kids used to tell their friends that âMom is famous on the internetâ as a joke. Most of my friends know. My other life is in politics and the two lives usually donât cross but once on a campaign I was asked by a reporter if I was the âsameâ Vickie Moseley who writes fan fiction. If I had lied, that would have been the storyâthat I lied about this hobby of mine. Like it was something to be ashamed of or I was ashamed of my writing. So instead of ducking the question I said âyeah, have you read any of my stuff?â Fan fiction was not mentioned in the finished article.
Is there a place online (tumblr, twitter, AO3, etc.) where people can find you and/or your stories now?
Iâm on AO3 but only a partial list. My website is still up thanks to Mimic.
Is there anything else you'd like to share with fans of X-Files fic?
Back when I started writing (1995) it was a sort of commune. We all loved reading fan fiction, we didnât want the story to end with the credits. So if you wanted to read, you were encouraged to write, too, so that others had stories to read and share. It was a cooperative arrangement very much like the old Literary Societies back in the 19th Century. Â I really miss that, so I hope that on some level that is still going on.

One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Whereâs Morgan? An Irondad Oneshot
To say that everyone was excited to go to Disneyland was an understatement. It was a very big understatement.
Tony had planned every detail of the trip, making sure that they had bought the right amount of the correct passes to get everyone in and the hotels reservation, and rental car.
When he had finalized the plans, he gathered everyone in the living room.
"Ok, what is this about?" Harley asked suspiciously. "Is this a set up to a prank?"
Tony gasped in indignation.
"Why would you ever say that? Would I really do that to you?"
"You've been acting weird." Peter pointed out. "You keep on minimizing the internet tabs every time we would enter your lab."
"That doesn't mean anything. I could be trying to find you all your Christmas presents early." Tony replied immediately.
"But since when do you shop for us on the Disneyland website?" Morgan asked slyly.
Then there was a moment of silence.
"WAIT, WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND?!" The boys asked in disbelief.
Tony let out a laugh that only showed itself with his family.
"That's right. Oh, and I also invited Shuri because last time she was here in the states, she didn't get to go."
All of the kids smiled at each other in excitement.
"The fact that Shuri is coming too is amazing dad!" Harley said.
"This is going to be so fun. Oh I've been wanting to go to Batuu so bad!" Peter gushed.
"Make sure to buy me some shoes with inserts so I'm tall enough for all the rides, dad." Morgan said.
"Wait, when are we going?" Harley asked suddenly.
"Tomorrow. Mom already made a packing list of all the essential items we need to pack." Tony said with a thankful smile to Pepper. "You should be receiving the lists any second now."
Everyone's phones vibrated with the notification of a list. As soon as the kids felt it, they ran to their respective rooms to start packing.
*The next morning*
"All right, do we have everybody on the jet?" Tony asked.
Pepper looked around and thought for a moment.
"Okay, I'll give each of you a number and whenever we do a head count, when I say your number, wave or something. That way we know we're all here. Ok, Tony, you'll be 1, Rhodey, you'll be 2, Harley, 3, Shuri, 4, Peter, 5, and Morgan, you will be 6. Everybody got that?"
Everyone nodded.
"We'll try it a few times on the way so we can get the hang of it."
After a long flight, and a few practices of number counting, they arrived in Anaheim and made their way to Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. They checked in, unpacked ate dinner and went to bed early to get enough rest for the next day.
*7:00 the next morning*
"All right, everybody up!" Morgan sang as she jumped from bed to bed, effectively waking everyone in the room.
"My love language is quality time together, but not like this, Morguna." Tony groaned as he finally sat up.
Peter was the next to get up.
"Ok, we have to get dressed and get our phones ready to reserve our boarding groups for Rise of The Resistance! I already have the app ready to go!"
"Hold on kiddo, we need breakfast before we go. What do you all want?" Tony asked.
Everyone listed off what they wanted from the room service booklet and soon everyone had eaten and were ready to start the day at Disneyland.
"Ok, let's do our headcount before getting in line. to enter" Pepper called out.
"One."
Tony flashed a peace sign.
"Two."
Rhodey waved.
"Three."
Harley casually dabbed as he sneezed.
"Four."
"FRE SHA VACA DO!" Shuri said gleefully, making Peter and Harley laugh.
"Five."
"It is Wednesday my dudes." Peter began.
Then all the kids joined in, "uuuuuuuUUUUUUAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
"Kids, you can't do that kind of shit here." Tony interrupted. "Ok, six?"
"Watch yo profanity." Morgan said with a grin.
"We have taught her so well." Peter said, wiping away a fake tear.
"Well, we're all here, so lets go." Pepper said, beckoning everyone towards the gate.
As soon as the gates opened and everyone was inside, Peter reserved their boarding group for Rise of the Resistance.
"Sweet, we're boarding group 15, we can go on a couple of rides while we wait for our turn!" He exclaimed excitedly.
"All right, where do we find a map?" Pepper asked.
"We don't need one. I recruited someone to help us around the park." Tony said.
"Wait, who?" Harley asked.
"Well I did some research on who would be the best tour guide for our trip." Tony explained. "I had Fri do a background check before hiring her to help us. She's known for being a encyclopedia of knowledge on the parks and their history. She knows her stuff and was more than willing to help us. Also, she's the granddaughter of one of the original Imagineers, X Atencio, who did the script for the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean as well as the music that plays through both rides."
"So, a legacy of the Imagineers is going to show us around? How cool is that?" Peter asked.
"So when is she coming?" Shuri asked.
"I'm here already." A new voice said.
Everybody turned to look at the new person who had entered the group. It was a young woman who looked to be in her early twenties. She was dressed in the color scheme of Snow White's outfit but in the style of 1950's clothing. Her makeup was also reminiscent of the era of clothing she dressed in.
"Nice to meet you all in person!" She said with a smile. "The name's Sarah Atencio."
She shook everyone's hand and when she got to Morgan, she crouched down to her height so she was at eye level with the young girl.
"I like your outfit miss." Morgan said politely. "Is it supposed to look like Snow White?"
Sarah smiled at her question.
"It is indeed. The outfit I'm wearing is called a Disneybound. Do you know what that is?"
Morgan shook her head no, but still seemed to be interested in what it was.
"No, but it sounds cool." She replied.
"I can teach you all about it later while we wait in line. How does that sound?" She asked.
Morgan smiled shyly and nodded.
Sarah stood up straight and smoothed out her skirt.
"All right, let's get this trip started! Did anyone have a preference in where we go first?"
"Well, I know that Peter would be very interested to go to Batuu. I myself am curious to see what it looks like in person." Shuri piped up. "I also wanted to see the lightsabers they sell here and compare them to the ones I have at home."
"Are we all in agreement?" Sarah asked.
Everyone voiced their agreement or nodded their heads.
"All right, on to Batuu!" Sarah proclaimed.
*Time skip*
"Peter, since you wanted to go to Batuu, do you have your story planned out? Or are you going to improvise?" Sarah asked.
"I already have planned some aspects of my character but I'm still not sure about a couple of things. So I guess both?" He answered.
"Whoa, what do you mean, character? What story?" Harley asked.
Peter turned to look at Harley in disbelief.
"Do you not remember when we had this conversation?" He asked.
"No, why else would I ask?" Harley retorted.
"Ok, basically, Batuu is a trading post and a secret base for the Rebellion and the First Order is looking for them. Everybody who goes there has the possible chance of being stopped by Stormtroopers who are looking for Rebel spies. It's also possible to be stopped and interrogated by Kylo Ren. So if you wanted to be more immersed in the experience, you could come up with a backstory for why you are in Batuu and what side of the war you're on. As for my backstory, I'm a con artist born on Yavin-4 posing as a merchant looking for a place to trade my fake rare materials on the planet. I sell to the First Order and report to the Rebellion with what the First Order is interested in buying and how much of the item. But the thing is, my so called rare materials are so realistic looking, that they fool the First Order. What they are buying is useless and they won't know it until they try actually using it."
"That's more thought out than what I would come up with." Harley said. "I probably would have come up with some idiotic backstory like, 'Oh, I'm the secret child of Luke Skywalker and I have come to take down my cousin and his stupid army of bucket heads.' Something that wouldn't make sense."
"Well, I'll give you points for using SW slang." Peter remarked playfully.
"We're about to arrive at Rise of the Resistance since it is around the time your group should be called. Are we all here?"
"I'll check, we have a system." Pepper said. "One... Two... Three... Four... Five.... WHERE'S MORGAN?!"
Everyone in the group instantly looked around to see where she could have wandered off to.
"Oh no, Fri, please activate the 'Little Feetsies' protocol." Tony said tapping the side of his sun glasses.
"Activating 'Little Feetsies' protocol."She responded.
"Activating what now?" Harley asked.
Instantly, Tony could see the footprints of everyone in their group on the ground. The smallest pair of feet had diverted from the group way back towards the bazaar.
"Everyone follow me." Tony said.
"Is nobody else going to ask why there is a protocol with that name?" Harley asked as everyone else followed Tony.
Everyone in the group followed Tony as he walked the path of Morgan's shoe prints, making sure he didn't accidentally crash into a person in the process.
Eventually, Tony stopped and everyone saw why.
Morgan was standing with Kylo Ren and his Stormtroopers. And she was smiling as she talked with him.
"Well, I guess Morgan has connections to the First Order now." Shuri said, grinning at Peter, who looked slightly jealous. "How does your character feel after seeing a tiny 5 year old with the Supreme Leader wrapped around her little finger?"
Everyone laughed as they watched the duo, who seemed to be devising a way to end the Resistance once and for all.
"Ok, so that's a good way to help your troopers train and be better at ambushing the Resistance. And also try feeding them yummy food so they will be more hardworking. Give them something like, like.... Spaghetti! Or cheeseburgers!" Morgan told the tall and scary looking man.
"The First Order thanks you for your information and loyalty. You will be rewarded." One of the Stormtroopers told her.
"If only my military strategists had ideas as well thought out as yours." Kylo Ren said with interest. "How would you like to become my apprentice? Learn how to fight properly?"
Peter chose that moment to run to Morgan and scoop her up, making her squeal in surprise.
"AIIIIE, Peter, don't do that!" She giggled.
"I'm so sorry if she was bothering you Supreme Leader, she tends to run off and show off her intellect whenever she gets the chance to." Peter said with more confidence than he felt.
"I had hoped that she would become my apprentice. I could train her well, she would live a successful life as my right hand."
Peter laughed a bit nervously before replying.
"She's a bit too young right now. Maybe when she's at least 16 I would let her decide if she still wants to or not."
"How unfortunate. I insist you reconsider." The deep voice of Kylo Ren replied.
"I apologize Supreme Leader, but I must decline. Well, we have somewhere to be very soon, so I believe this is farewell for now."
Peter carried Morgan back to the rest of the group and Morgan waved goodbye to Kylo Ren.
âMorguna, why did you run off without telling us?â Tony asked the young girl.
âWe were worried you might have gotten lost, honey.â Pepper added.
âIâm sorry mommy, Kylo Ren asked me to be his right hand!" Morgan said, right off the bat.
Pepper's facial expression was a mix of horrified amusement and Tony was trying very hard not to laugh. Shuri and Harley looked very proud of Morgan for charming Kylo Ren himself. Sarah was just laughing at the whole situation.
"And I told her no, because she is too young." Peter interjected "Besides, you are supposed to be with the Resistance Morgs, what happened to that?"
"She double crossed you is what happened."Harley replied "Betrayed her own brother, who is supposed to be a con artist."
Everyone burst out laughing at that comment and after it died down, they all went to Rise of the Resistance.
NOTE: This is my first fic on Tumblr, and I think I might do more? It depends on if I have time to write, hahaha! Also if you have seen this on Wattpad, donât panic, this is the same person who has it on there, I am not stealing someone elseâs work. I am taking my own writing and putting it on Tumblr. Also, I know that Disneyland is literally on the opposite side of the country for them, but for the sake of me never having gone to Disney World, I used Disneyland instead. Because I know nothing about the parks layout in Florida.

Safe
yeah, here is me, back with another kylo fic, dont be too surprised lol. also, im sorry if i used wrong terms, i havenât seen the movies in original language, just dubbed so my knowledge is not the best even though i have done some research.
Summary: Kylo wants to know you are safe all the time, so he decides to teach you how to fight.
Pairing: Kylo Ren x Reader
word count: 1.5 k
masterlist
Walking into the training gym you feel a little unsure how youâll perform. Youâre not even too sure youâre able to learn how to fight and you are perfectly fine with it, but Kylo would not let you roam around without being able to defend yourself, so he convinced you to learn a few stuff from him in case something happens and he is not there to save you.
The doors slide open and you walk into the huge gym he built for himself to train whenever he has the time. Youâve only been here a handful of times and never really cared to look around, but now your eyes wander around the place as you walk further inside. Several different weapons are on display along the walls, each of them deadlier than the last and you wonder if he can use all of them.
Probably yes, he is the best and most talented fighter youâve ever seen, however he is able to defend himself with his bare hands too.
You spot him standing in the back, his usual black uniform is gone, wearing only his underclothes, a loose sweater and pants, his hair falling forward as he keeps his head down a little, focusing on whatever he is doing.
âHey,â he greets before even looking at you and when he finally turns his eyes meet yours, the tiniest smile playing on his lips, something only you get to see, no one else.
âHey,â you shyly smile back as you step next to him and you see all the lightsabers on the table. âAre we gonna use them?â
âNot at the beginning, but eventually, yes. My intention is to teach you how to fight with one.â
âIs this really necessary?â you ask chewing on your bottom lip. He sighs turning to you fully with his body.
âAs much as it is my priority to keep you safe at all times, we both know I canât always be around you and I want to know you are not helpless if something ever happens.â
Keeping your gaze down on your feet, you nod your head knowing he is right. And you completely agree, youâre just not sure if you can do what he wants from you. Youâve never been a fighter, never really tried and you donât want to disappoint him and give him one more thing to worry about.
âHey,â he catches your attention cupping your cheek in his hand to lift your head and make you look at him. âItâs going to be fine, okay? Itâs just you and me, donât be afraid.â
You nod and he kisses your forehead before stepping away from you.
As he said, you start off without any weapon, just your bare hands. He is extremely patient with you, explaining and showing everything as many times as needed and he doesnât get frustrated when you fail to do something. Instead, he seems determined and motivated, keeps telling you to do one more try, right until you finally nail it. Starting from defense, working your way towards the attacking, you learn several useful moves.
You start training every day from then and you can actually feel yourself getting better at it, using the techniques he taught you when the two of you imitate a fight.
âYouâre doing amazing,â he cracks a smile as the two of you finish another fight one day. You just shyly shrug as you try to catch your breath, still not completely used to all the energy thatâs needed for the trainings.
Walking over to the lightsabers you watch him take one of them and he walks back to you.
âItâs time to level up.â
âYou sure about that?â you ask, secretly pretty scared to use one. Just one bad move and someone could get hurt, thatâs not something youâd want.
âItâs fine, just listen to me.â
You nod as he hands it over to you and walking behind you his arms come around you, hands covering yours on the handle. His chest is pressed against your back and his head is right next to yours as you keep your eyes on the weapon in your hands.
âReady? Weâre gonna turn it on.â
âOkay,â you whisper.
His thumb guides yours over the switch and then you finally turn it on, bringing it alive. You gasp as you feel a small kick from the energy core when the blade appears.
âDonât be afraid, you have to be the one in control,â he tells you as he fixes your hands up on the hilt into the right position before slowly letting go and making you hold it on your own.
You donât move, stand still as he walks around and stops in front of you, the blade coloring his face in a vibrant red shade, his eyes focused on you, ready to save you if anything goes wrong.
âOkay, try to move it. Slowly but surely.â
âMove where?â you anxiously ask, still in the same position.
âTo the sides, up, down, anywhere you feel like.â
You stare at the blade for a few seconds, trying to focus before you start moving. Remembering what he taught you, you try to hold it easy but stable enough not to drop it mid-movements. As you turn hour hands around, the blade follows the movement, sliding in the air and you slowly start to feel more and more secure with each movement.
âSee? Youâre doing great!â he nods approvingly. âTry with one hand.â
In the next twenty minutes he shows everything you need to know about fighting with a lightsaber, shows you the critical points, the not too known moves and all the tricks and tips he has learned through the years.
âAlright, letâs try to fight,â he announces walking over to the table and grabbing his crossguard lightsaber. Once his is back in front of you, he stomps one feet against the floor as he brings the blade out and you inhale sharply.
Thatâs one move you absolutely love when he does, itâs making you want to go over to him and just tear his clothes off. He is already such a breathtaking creature, but whenever he does this, you canât help but feel even more attracted to him.
âTry to defend yourself,â he orders and the next moment you see him leap towards you.
You bring yours up just in time to catch his attack, the two blades colliding right between your faces and you gasp at the sudden rush of adrenaline you feel. But you donât have too much time enjoying the moment, because he is already onto you with another move.
It goes like this for several minutes, him trying to attack you from all directions, making you move around in the gym, and you trying your best to defend yourself and not end up unprotected. With each dodged attack you come to feel more and more confident in the fight, feeling like an actual fighter.
âDonât lose focus!â he orders around whenever he feels like you lost control. âAlways be on alert! You can never know whatâs going to be their next move!â
The buzzing sound of the blades colliding fills the gym as you bring everything in you together to show him what youâre capable of. He keeps telling you to listen and focus and you start getting frustrated, because youâre one hundred percent present and doing great, so you decide to up it a little.
While he is concentrated on attacking, you decide to change up the roles and try to attack him. The move catches him by surprise as you let out a growl and swing your lightsaber in his direction. It almost hits him in the side, but he catches it with using the Force right in time, his hand holding up your weapon for a moment before you let go and switch it off letting your hands fall to your sides.
âWhat was that?â he questions in a stern voice.
âAn attack?â you shrug brushing your hair out of your forehead. âThought you want me to learn how to fight, attacking is part of that, isnât it?â
As he stares at you with a straight face, for a moment you fear you shouldnât have done that and you almost start saying youâre sorry when he throws his lightsaber to the ground, closing the distance between you and him, crashing his lips to yours.
You gasp into the kiss, completely caught off-guard, but then throwing your lightsaber away as well you more than gladly return the kiss, tangling your fingers in his hair. His kisses are rough, but you donât mind, in fact, youâre enjoying it a lot, knowing how big of an effect you just had on him with such a simple thing.
Moments later you finally part, lips feeling swollen and his are a deep red color as well, bringing a smile to your face.
âOkay, letâs get back to work. We still have a lot to do,â he announces, going back to his usual, stern self, trying his best to hide how much he just enjoyed this small encounter.
âAlright,â you chuckle to yourself grabbing your lightsaber from the ground as you get in pose, ready to have another fight. He does the same and when the blades collide once more you both are engaged in the training, knowing well youâll have some more relevant time for what you did a moment ago tonight, alone in his room.
