You and Mike Schmidt lived together with his little sister, Abby. It was nice having roommates who you got along with and to share utility bills with. Mike also had a car and didn’t mind driving you anywhere you needed to go, already used to Abby’s asking.

And it didn’t hurt that Mike was one of the sweetest people you had ever met. It wasn’t easy for him to show it, usually relying on his actions to convey when he cared for someone. You didn’t even mind his temper flaring up occasionally, knowing exactly how to calm him down whenever his hackles were risen. You two fit together perfectly.

One of the ways Mike showed he cared for you was through helping you with one of your coping mechanisms, age regression. You had a rough childhood and a therapist had suggested the method to hopefully live a happier one. When you occasionally regressed, Mike acted as a caregiver for you.

One such instance occurred when you two were home alone and Abby was at school. Neither of you had work and so you both sat in front of the television, just watching the cartoons that Abby had left on. It hasn’t even occurred to you that you might slip into littlespace because of what was playing.

So it just made sense when you flopped into Mike’s lap, surprising him, and said, “Mikeyyyyy, ‘m bored.” He stared at you for a second and then it suddenly clicked for him. “What do you want to do, baby?” He asked softly, using a tone and a gentle smile he reserved just for you and Abby.

“I’m hungry but I also wanna color.” You pouted, burying your head in Mike’s neck. He raised one of his hands and ran his fingers through your slightly messy hair as best he could. “Why don’t we get you some of Abby’s coloring supplies and you can color while I make you something to eat?” You nodded quickly and unlatched yourself from your caregiver, letting him pick you up and put you back on the couch so he could get up.

Mike went into Abby’s room and grabbed some paper, markers, and crayons for you to borrow, knowing it would be okay with his little sister. You didn’t have many of your own little things because they could be pretty expensive. So instead, you used Abby’s.

The older man came back into the living room and set you up with your things on the coffee table. He pressed a kiss to your forehead as you began drawing, retreating into the kitchen so he could start on your food. You were pretty fond of mac ‘n cheese so he started with that.

In a few minutes, your food was ready and Mike brought it out to you. “It’s still hot so be careful, okay honey?” He reminded you, pushing your hair out of your face slightly. You nodded and smiled. “T‘ank you!” You chirped, continuing to color even after he set the food down.

Mike sat on the couch behind you whilst you colored and eventually began eating. He shuffled around and pulled his hoodie sleeves up, revealing a few scrunchies and hair ties on his wrist. He had begun wearing them as Abby routinely wanted her hair up but always forgot her own. So using one of the many hair accessories he had, he began to put your hair up in a ponytail as best as he could.

You giggled and brushed some loose hairs out of your own face. “T’ank you.” You repeated and Mike smiled at your manners. “Of course. Now I can see your pretty face, baby.” He then kissed the top of your head before sitting back into the couch, continuing to watch the television whilst simultaneously keeping an eye on you.

He loved you with all his heart and was always there to made sure you felt comfortable.

I don't think I've watched this movie since it came out, so my memory is a little fuzzy. I remember thinking it was brilliant and entertaining; I found the plot and characters to be compelling and I was really rooting for Lady Hideko to get a happy ending. The cinematography is so delicious, as is the romantic tension between the lead female characters. However, I did find the sex scenes to be a little... not to my taste but my opinion might have changed in the last few years

A Historical biopic about the life of Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette. It's another movie I haven't seen since it came out but I also enjoyed it. (I don't remember if Missy's gender is ever defined in the movie, so I'm not sure if "women" is the correct term to use when describing them. I might be misgendering them as the real-life Missy, Mathilde de Morny, did go by Max/Uncle Max in their later years.)

Here we have another biopic, this time it's about the relationship between Queen Anne, Sarah Churchill, and Abigail Masham. I adore this movie! It's soooo fantastic to see queer women be so ruthless, cunning, terrible and desperate. Gosh, I love how love and ambition are depicted throughout. It's fantastic! All three female leads are excellent.

Kiera Knightley wanted them to be together and so did everyone else. If they ever made a sequel (which they should), it could be about them reuniting and getting together. I watched this movie soooooo many times growing up.... lol Calamity Jane (1953) The story of Calamity Jane, her saloon, and her romance with Wild Bill Hickok

Another biopic but this time, it's a musical haha. Okay, yes, Jane ends up with a man and yes, the real Calamity Jane was married twice in her life to men. But when I watched this as a child, it awaken something in me. The movie is so queer-coded, I could see it even as a little child who didn't know what queer was yet. I haven't seen it in over a decade, maybe more, but it left a huge impression on me. Plus, The Windy City and A Woman's Touch are absolutely certified jams. (side note: when I watched A Woman's Touch for the first time, I remember thinking that I wouldn't mind living in a cabin with my best "gal friend" 😂) Now for a TV show I watched growing up (when I was WAY too young to be watching something so adult) that made me feel the feels:

Coming-of-age/ sexual awakening stories aren't always my thing anymore, as I don't care to watch teenagers exploring their sexuality but I watched this when I was 10(??), and it was very important to me. It's not a very good show and is probably considered to be super outdated now, but I found it formative. Plus, when I was growing up, there weren't any (not from what I can remember) shows or movies with a lesbian lead wanting to be in an interracial relationship with her best friend. It's an important part of queer TV history. Plus, it has Andrew Garfield playing one of the wettest male characters ever lol

I was too tired to get worked up last night but now that Im awake again I am sooo fucking agitated rn. We HAVE to be at my parent's right now (car camping in the yard) bc I desperately need whatever help they can give me, my dad is getting the car checked and we've been here using the shower and the stove and whatnot. But my dad's bday was also this weekend so my WHOOOOOLE family was here, and Bel and I stayed inside specifically to avoid everyone, but then my fucking horrible grandpa (who was queerphobic and an asshole long before he had dementia) comes in and tries to make chit chat with us, and then my dad comes in laughing saying how grandpa went outside and announced to everyone that "there's two girls with mustaches in there," and dad just thought that was funny. And we had JUST come back from the store where some rando also fucking commented on Bel's mustache and I HAD a comeback but I was too fucking SLOW and I didn't fucking defend him

So anyway we like have absolutely no choice but to be here and Bel especially can't just leave and like it's weird bc yes they are letting us stay here, feeding us etc and I feel like I'm not allowed to explain why this is so hurtful bc if I do that's somehow going against all my dad is doing for me here. Like I'm being ungrateful spitting in his face and only focusing on what he's doing wrong.

Probably bc they spent my whole life reinforcing this idea that I only was allowed to need things if they agreed that I was lacking. When I became suicidal it wasn't "oh yeah you need help let's get you to a doctor." It was a litany of "here's all the things I did for you, I sacrificed my body for you, I ate healthy and quit smoking and I did everything right and I gave you a PERFECT body and brain, so no, you don't need help." And she stood by that until I was out of the house and went and got help myself, and she STILL tried to talk me out of it.

And especially with my mom being the terf-adjacent 2nd wave Michfest Feminist that she is, she only ever has shit to say about my gender when it's disparaging. The first time she saw me shirtless after top surgery she said "embrace the patriarchy" in this bitter fucking tone. She only ever calls me a guy if I'm acting so stupid that I need help or correction. But yeah it's so super funny and cute that my demented grandpa can't fucking tell I'm a guy and it's sooo funny and cute how he's disrespecting me and my boyfriend to my whole family and they're all just out there laughing. That's sooooo fucking funny and silly and ha ha and yeah people like my asshole grandpa, who was NEVER even part of my actual fucking life, is totally allowed to just walk into your home and talk about your loved ones like that, unchallenged, cus he's just such a silly little guy. Family is so fucking special am I right.

It's wild having the least normie and most functional family of all my friends bc when it comes to things like politics and gay rights and witchcraft and even topics like feminism and reproductive rights! my parents are always the most chill, understanding, easygoing, have the most reasonable responses out of anyone else's parents... But then they still have these very unchallenged ideals that come out at the worst time, and when i try to explain to them how they are hurting me and making me feel unsafe and making MY BOYFRIEND feel unsafe, and this is why I don't hang out with them, they pull the "dont make me feel bad when i do so much for you" card.

They also don't defend other trans ppl. They "love" Eddie Izzard, she is "their favorite comedian," but they can't gender her correctly to save their lives. One time my mom tried to show her cis gay friend one of Eddie's Dress to Kill bits and he started disparaging her outfit and calling her buffalo fucking bill and my mom just sat there and TOOK IT. I WAS HOME!!! I COULD HEAR HIM!!!!!!!!!

I also cannot threaten the help they're giving me w the car and the house bc my dad is currently still paying the insurance bc I can't even afford gas to go job hunting. So I did not sit my dad down and explain Why That Wasn't Funny. My stupid ass got up early and put the dishes away instead. Because if I criticize my dad, on his birthday, in his own home that we are staying at for free, AND Im leaving a mess (that I didn't make, but that I saw and walked away from regardless), they will kick us both out and never let us come back! Or maybe they won't! But they've kicked me out before and I can't let that happen to Bel again right now!!!

And unfortunately I need to stay connected to dementia grandpa too bc we may be living in his cabin part time this winter. I'm not super optimistic about finding housing before it gets cold. Especially not after yesterday. We were both already lamenting needing our names changed, but trying to do it while homeless and Looking Like Girls With Mustaches in Bumfuck Nowhere is gonna be even more fun!!!

Yep. With better casting SNW could have achieved everything OP is praising as well as addressing everything the rest of us are complaining about. Nichelle is the OG and I’ll always love her on principle, but I also really enjoyed Zoe as Uhura because she was so beautiful and feminine without being ridiculously hyper sexualized (which I think is also annoying).

But Celia just doesn’t have that appeal in snw. And the whole “she looks like she could come from Kenya” is bull. Did you see Miss Kenya? Or other girls like Malaika Firth who grew up in Kenya and which is actually their home? What her lighter skin makes her less Kenyan? No I don’t think so. I don’t care what shade of brown she is as long as she embodies Uhura and Celia doesn’t. Actually, I don’t think her personality in snw matches up with Uhura either, but that’s another argument.

Also newsflash people are allowed to have an opinion and to share it and that doesn’t make them anti-black (honestly op you don’t know the race of any of us unless we tell you, what a banal insult).

Her curves aren’t really the issue, the issue is that none of her curves are being portrayed or highlighted in a feminine way. She looks too masculine. And I’ve seen Celia look much prettier in other photos which is why I can’t understand why they erased ANY hint of that in the show.

Personally I would have loved to see Nicole Beharie as Uhura, even though she’s sooo tiny but I think she’s so cute. Or if the amount of melanin is the issue there were several girls in The Woman King who were drop dead gorgeous, portraying African women with AMAZING hairstyles and would have fit the bill much better than Celia.

I get that Celia is embodying the noir in your label of misongynoir but it wouldn’t have been a problem if they just made her a crew member and didn’t cast her for a role where she’s supposed to SPECIFICALLY play a beautiful, attractive, feminine, black woman. If they were going for the whole gender neutral aesthetic then they should have created a gender neutral character. Don’t erase an already established and much loved feminine one to do so.

Okay... So, I just saw that a person I was engaging with on that Uhura meta post has a problem with Uhura's short hair and curves. I wanna make it clear to everyone that that shit is anti-black af. Celia is pretty af, has beautifully clear brown eyes, blessedly melanated skin, a smile that blows away everyone else in the cast, full lips, a perfectly flared nose for that good Kenyan air, and curves to die for. And her haircut (with waves waving fully) makes sure those stunning features are more visible to you; on full and easy display, with fewer distractions.

A bit personal but I’m having difficulty coming out to my mother, my brother, and his family.

As a Transformers fan. No one here probably cares or knows that I’m born female. I love the internet because I can be genderless; I love people calling me a he and I love when people who only know me from the internet, don’t know my born gender. Having long hair makes me feel masculine and I know it doesn’t make sense in this society which says long hair is feminine but I’m a handsome man that will steal your girl with my lovely locks. I’m also okay with being thought of as female; just currently I have long hair because off-topic. there’s a girl fighting cancer and I promised I would donate my hair to them if she loses her’s; so I’m feeling manly with these locks flowing past my shoulders. I probably lost anyone wanting to read this already. Anyway, my family sees me as totally female and me liking something that is considered not only “for kids” but also “for boys”.  I don’t know how to confess this.  My birthday is coming up and out of the blue I’m hit with the bus of my family actually wanting to throw a little party for me at I’m guessing my brother’s house. My mother is asking what the theme of the cake should be, I’m guessing they are getting me one of those sheet cakes with the edible printed image on it. If I say “Transformers” they having little clue, will think the Michael Bay films and heck no!  I mean IDW! I mean MTMTE/Lost Light.  I want a fracking Brainstorm cake because how the frack does this family not know?

An Angel/Demon au but more like im remaking whole HP universe that no one asked for but i did it anyway because i simply just h a d to...

Okay you are here, are you ready??

At first, i wanted it to be some regular A.D. au that demons in hell and angels in heaven and they are enemies bla bla you know all that beautiful aus like that already

so welcome to my version of it, kinda crossover like.

In hp universe we have muggles - wizards/witches. I turned this into humans - angels/ demons. So humans are like muggles, living their life with no magic and no idea about it. Angels and demons are like wizards/witches, have magic and knows about humans. Angels and demons are not holy creatures, they belong in Earth and lives there.

Angels have light magic. They have white, bird like wings and that light magic comes from wing's feathers. Only most powerfull angels have ring on their heads (i really dont know its name...)Demons have dark magic. They have black, bat like wings and that dark magic comes from wing's scales. Only most powerfull demons have horns on their heads.

Light magic is creator, dark magic is destroyer. Simply, an angel can create a light, but cant make it disappear. A demon cant create a light, but can destroy it.

Because of that, most demon and angels works as team aand lives with each other. And a note, Hybrids cant exist, they simpy just demon or angel. Because dark and light magic destroy each other, one dominate other in every situation. (Also pureblood supremacists? They are still here, turned into all demon or

all angel families. Kinda still purebloods??)

Normally, angels and demons doesnt need to use wand to use their own magic. But they have it anyway. Why? To be able to use other magic kind that they dont have. Let me explain.

I thought it would be pain in the arse to live with not being able to basically cast Lumos but not Nox. Or opposite. So, im sure they would try to find a way to use other magic kind. Then i thought how???

Basic. An angel will have a wand that uses the power of demons wing's scale. A demon will have wand that uses the power of angels wing's feathers. Most impostant point is, actually that wands are just like in normal hp universe. To be able to use it as other magic kind, person need to power it up with feather/scale regularly. Because of that, every demon and angel has to donate some in periots, to Ministry. But some people like families or Aurors, ones that works as teams, they doesnt get it from Ministry, they get it from their partner. Because emotional bond between users makes is more powerfull. ıdk how, it just does because i want it jhgfdfghjkl also ✨magic✨

I think now i can move on Hogwarts and our Hphm characters. Thats where things gets exciting jhgfdfghjk.

There is just two houses now, for demons and angels (I couldnt find a name for them so if you have l e t m e k n o w p l s).

Demons, main color on uniform is black, as a second color person can choose one or two of cold colors (basically shades of blue,green and purple). House symbol is Dragon SİMPLY BECAUSE İ WANT AND İ CAN?? but also it has similiar wings with demons.

Angels, main color on uniform is white, as a second color person can choose one or two of warm colors (basically shades of red, orange and yellow). House symbol is Abraxan because wings and its light colors

Here a simple drawing of Talbott as angel and Rowan as demon, just because i wanted to see something about au. Also i didnt think about uniform much, so there is a chance i can make it more beautiful. ALSO i made Rowan demon because how they are mc's house, i mean they need to in mc's kind, but you feel free to change this if u want

And no robes OR different dress code based on gender. No one wants robes or skirts while flying. NO ROBES AND SKİRTS AS UNİFORM. Thank you :)

Normally student get sorted by hat in their house, in first year. İn that au, student get sorted in their team.

İn hogwarts, every demon has one main partner, an angel. And one secondary partner, another demon. Same goes as angels. And anegl have one main demon partner and secondary angel partner. Main partners makes the real team.

İt sounds little complicated, so allow me to give an example.

Night is demon. Their main partner is Talbott -angel- and secondary partner is Rowan -demon- The team is Night-Talbott. Rowan and Talbott has really nothing jhgfghjk.

I come up with everyones teams, but telling it like this would be hard, i will just write it like that:
