Ai art is not art it's an ai picture.
Use Ai as a refrence at most.
If you have health problems, draw in very short spurts (i.e. 5 or 10 minutes)
If you want art from your mind on paper/jpeg get an independent artist you like and commission them. They're struggling enough as is.
#ai art is not real art#also if you support ai art you very well may be contributing to the loss of jobs in the art industry#also also if you call yourself an “ai artist” i have no respect for you. all you do is find the right string of words in a certain ai#generator#fuck ai art

able-bodied artists (or artists who don't have the relevant disabilities even if they are physically disabled in some way) really need to start checking themselves because i have seen more than enough ableist garbage on my TL recently. i don't get any traction on twitter though so i'm posting this here instead.
1. i'm not giving my thoughts on "AI art" because i do not have the patience and energy but bringing up physically disabled artists with limb differences, motor impairments, etc. (the ones that able-bodied people put on a pedestal because inspiration porn, anyway) as a gotcha is just as bad as the "AI art" bros you're arguing with who aren't disabled themselves (or disabled in these ways) but also tokenize these forms of disability. we're not ammunition in online discourse, i bet 10-1 that you people never uplift and empower and give a platform to disabled artists w/ limb differences/motor impairments/etc. in your online art spaces otherwise, and any logic that amounts to "this disabled person can do [x] so you're just not trying hard enough/what's your excuse?" is always always ALWAYS ableist no matter how you try to spin it, sorry.
if you don't have these conditions and consider yourself an ally to us then you do not have any business speaking with any kind of authority in conversations involving limb differences, motor impairments, etc. and art-making, or bringing artists with these conditions up when people are talking art-making and accessibility. full-stop. speaking from experience, being an artist with coordination and motor skill impairments when i'm surrounded by artists who aren't hindered by those things (even if physically disabled) really takes a mental toll on you and being all "oh this guy learned to draw with his teeth, so" does not help that whatsoever.
2. speaking as a horror artist/author - critically examine what you consider monstrous or horrific and the overlap between that and visible physical disability. not only have i had the above nonsense shoved in my face but then semi-popular art account posted a few photos (from online assumedly) that they called "monster eyes" when one of those images was leukocoria and another looked something like tonic pupil and/or coloboma (the pupil looked atypically large and out of place.) structrual eye conditions that cause visible differences aren't "monstrous." one of the images had crystals growing out of the eye, which, yeah! do more with that. but consider that images of "freaky" eyes you find on the internet are in fact eye conditions that real people have and what you're doing is associating how their bodies look with "monstrosity."
people have talked about this quite a bit with limb differences, bodily proportions, gait differences, motor impairments, etc. but i've never seen it talked about nearly as much with eye conditions. stop associating aspects of visible bodily differences with horror and monstrosity. even if it's unintentional that's purely due to your ignorance of the wealth of conditions that cause disability. exploration of disability and bodily difference within the context of horror and monstrosity can and honestly should be explored but that should be left to to those of us who actually understand what that is like rather than those who only have an outside perspective.
generally i'm very tired of able-bodied artists and then any physically disabled ones who lack respect for those of different experience to their situation.

Hello! You can call me Nebula, Doodle, or Eilidh! I am fine with all pronouns, but fem or neutral are preferred! Here is some info about me!:
‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.Minor[Won’t state age but will state I am a teenager]/Baby Bat/ UTMV fan and artist/ practicing writing, nature lover, infp/currently unlabeled (only mentioning asexual since im certain about it) ‧₊˚❀༉‧₊˚.
I LOVE sans AU’S with all my heart!🩵
I LOVE WHEN MUTUALS OR PEOPLE INTERACT WITH ME! IT MAKES ME HAPPY! I’m shy at times but I love when people do that. I struggle with communicating with others and I’m nervous to talk to people, so please be patient :)
DNI: Homophobes, Transphobes, Racists, Sexists, Bigots, Bullies, Pro Shippers and supporters of it, loli/shotacon likers, people who romanticize gross things like abuse or SA, creeps, zoos, Zionists, just mean or bad people! Although this list doesn’t contain all bad people (since we would be here forever), I hope it gives the gist of who I don’t want interacting with me!
Also NSFW accs! I don’t have anything against you all if yall aren’t bad people, but I am a minor!
I do not condone or support harassment!
Everyone else is 100% ok to interact, especially UTMV fans, Artists, writers, just anyone in the UTMV fandom! All I ask is that you don’t say sexual things to me if you are an adult or someone I don’t know personally!
Boundaries and notes!:
Do not sexualize, draw NSFW of, or put into problematic ships, my sona and my oc, Cytherea. Drawing slightly suggestive art of Cytherea is fine, anything else is a no. Drawing NSFW of my sona is a BIG NO!
Don’t use my stuff for AI! Anything else is fine (except nsfw of course), just credit me!
Please don’t bring drama onto here publicly! If something is going on and I need to know, send me a message or an ask!
please don’t spam my inbox! I’ll try to answer as many as I can, but spamming gets overwhelming!
I am comfortable with slightly suggestive, but not intensely suggestive! I only interact with suggestive art if I am comfortable with it and the creator allows me on the blog [which I mean by an age requirement I meet!], so this shouldn’t be a issue!
If I ever interact with a problematic creator or a creator I cannot interact with (it being a 18+ blog or something similar) please let me know! I wouldn’t do it intentionally and would be highly appreciative so I can back away if needed!
I call people dude often, let me know if you aren’t comfortable with that and I’ll stop!
Some works of mine may contain heavy themes, but will have proper warnings!
I will add to this if necessary! Thank you for reading and have a good day/night🩵respect others and take care of yourself!

Rant time!
I'm so, so sick and tired of seeing AI "art" everywhere on my dash. There is no escaping it.
The awesome art noveau building front? AI. The gorgeous porcelain flowers? AI. The fluffy mushroom armchairs? AI. The supercute pre-war Steve and Bucky fanart? AI. The beautiful embroidery of blooming flower meadows? AI. The fun lettuce bed? AI. The gasp-worthy stained glass furniture made from "recycled" plastic? You guessed it: Fucking AI!
To be clear, I'm not calling out people who have unknowingly reblogged AI "art"—it's happened to me, too. Several times even. All I'm asking is that people who feel they absolutely have to share their AI "creations" with the world stop pretending and instead clearly label them as such so that others can make an informed decision as to whether or not they want to have them on their blogs. Nobody has time to put in 10 minutes of fucking detective work to ensure the authenticity of an image every time something about it seems even slightly suspicious.
I'm aware that many of the accounts that share things like the above are aesthetic blogs churning out 50 posts a day and they do not give a fuck. I am also not naive enough to believe that all this can be reversed—that we can somehow put AI back in its box. That ship has sailed. It has taken off into space, never to return.
But maybe we can at least stop lying about it? At least in our fan communities?
So. I am directly addressing the people who pass off AI-generated fanart as their own work. Please stop. Have some respect for your fellow fans. Have some respect for the many artists who have spent years teaching themselves to draw, and even more years to improve their skills, to find & perfect their personal styles, and who spend days or even weeks working on their creations. Have some respect for the new artists who are just starting out and who are still struggling and feeling insecure about sharing their work, which may not be technically perfect, but which they have put so much heart and soul into.
Have some respect—maybe at least for yourself—and stop lying.
#i cannot be the only one who's incredibly frustrated by this#i don't want to have to count the number of fingers every time i see something that looks too 'polished'#if you ever see me rb ai you are VERY welcome to point it out to me#anti ai art

1 year later: Ugigiugi review and thoughts
Hello Everyone.
It's finally been a year since the PDF was released. I decided to do a retrospective post on Ugigiugi, the history of her tracing, and share my personal thoughts now that some time has passed.
Feel free to read below!
First off, I wanted to publicly address the fact that I noticed the new "findings" in the tag. I have collected those for annotations.
As I've stated before in one of my older posts, this whole situation was the first time I'd seen or dealt with a serial tracer like Ugigiugi. Counting her last post day, she had been tracing for 5 years. Given all these things, I decided to reflect a bit on the Ugigiugi situation and things are a year later.
At that time it appeared that Ugigiugi was mostly a tracer/self-insert Mary-sue type of artist. Given her lack of crediting and stealing from others, it was pretty apparent that she was a lazy and passionless person masquerading as an artist and had zero shame in taking the efforts from others for herself.
While there is still plenty of art that has yet to be sourced, it can kinda assumed if Ugigiugi saw it, she stole it, regardless of the source. This is pretty evident when you look at the located sources which spanned from small-time fan artists and to published works, including online media or comics she's read in her own time. And let's not forget the audacity of her tracing over other people's original characters, and comics, or stealing from lgbtq+ ships.
Pharaoh’s Concubine by Misha/Youshi
Ennead by Mojito
Now, generally, it's alright to feel "inspired" by other people's fan art/comics/stories/etc. That's normal. And I certainly can't police what people will end up liking in their media.
But blatantly stealing others shows no passion and demonstrates you have very little respect for your fellow art peers. As I've said in my previous post on Tracing/Copying/Referencing while tracing is one way to "learn" how to draw art, it is not something you should heavily rely on as it can quickly become a crutch. If you're not pulling any useful information from it and just trace without a second thought, you will become dependent on it for everything and never truly learn how to draw without that crutch.
Every artist needs to study the fundamentals to learn how to break the rules. Every artist needs to learn how to use resources properly, be transparent if they borrow from others, and give credit where credit is due. Every artist has to gain confidence so they can create and self-motivate to improve.
Ugigiugi had NONE of these qualities because at the end of the day she did not care about being an artist.
She wanted attention and praise and did not care how she got it.
Looking back on the fallout and how Ugigiugi handled it when people tried to correct her or called her out, I can't consider her a creator in any capacity. Given that most of her pieces are in the genre of Mary-sue/self-inserting, this was really just her putting the spotlight on herself and that's the bottom line.
Now I'll be frank: I don't care for self-inserting. But that is a personal preference. However, I understand it is a thing people do within fandom spaces for fun, and if that's what you like? More power to you.
But if you have to steal from other artists to do that? From fellow fans or even from people who probably spent years developing their skills and putting art online to advertise their artwork or comics? You are just a leech, no different from the "AI artists" plugging prompts into generators to spit out terrible soulless art, scrapped from the honest efforts of thousands before them. And how can you call yourself an artist when you take from everyone else but having nothing to show for yourself?
Finally, for my last point, I'll share my thoughts on Ugigiugi's last known post and her "apology" before she deleted her Tumblr since not everyone got to see her response/rant when the callouts first began to circulate. I'm also leaving her DA post here for reference.
Someone had asked me if there was any actual proof Ugigiugi ever apologized anywhere before she nuked her social media. No, she never did apologize. You can even see in her Tumblr "apology" that she doesn't admit to what she did before going off on a rant. As of this year? She still has never apologized for all the tracing or stealing and for not crediting her free resources.
That being said a lot of what Ugi said at the end of her apologies always bugged me. I'll zoom in on these parts of her posts.
Here's the thing. You can have all the dreams in the world you like. Does creating art help you escape from the troubles of the real world? By all means that stuff is normal. To create art and express things is also fine.
But what isn't normal or acceptable Ugigiugi's lack of responsibility.
You can't build things with stuff that isn't yours to begin with. What story or world is there to share if you're just stealing the building blocks from others with no regard for people's works or boundaries? How can you create or inspire anyone when all you have to offer is a poorly reproduced copy. Can you even call it a hobby when you're not even going to put in the minimum effort? I don't think so.
Yes, Ugigiugi's can have issues with the doxing/political hubbub but at the end of it all, she is in a mess entirely of her own making. If she hadn't traced and just sourced things properly, I don't think people would have gone after her for all the stuff she had stolen (problematic media/opinions aside obviously). Taking accountability is always a sign of maturity.
And that is probably the biggest reason I can't give Ugiugigi a pass. She is not some misguided young artist just starting out. She is an adult. And not just any adult but one in the educational field too. It is appalling and little disturbing that an educator is engaging in such selfish behavior. And in her own words she knows these things and people have corrected her. But instead of taking accountability, she chooses to double down even harder and get mad at everyone for "bullying" her. She acts like a victim and makes excuses right up until the bitter end. And even now, despite a year of silence, I suspect her stance hasn't changed.
But this post is already growing quite long and rather then continue to beat this dead horse, I would rather finish this entry to talk about what people should avoid.
Even a year later after the PDF was published there's still stuff being sourced from her traced works and we have no idea if Ugiugigi is continuing to lurk or continuing to steal but keep it offline to avoid another public fallout.
Whatever the case may be I would like to leave a final thought both to encourage people to not do what she did and also address and of her lingering supporters who might stumble across this:
There are some out there who feel that what Ugiugigi did was not that bad since "everyone traces". But these people are wrong.
When you take something that doesn't belong to you, that is stealing. And when people discover you have been stealing they get upset for far more than just the theft. They get angry because that person is a LIAR. That is a betrayal of trust from an artist they believed was acting in good faith. If said artist can just rip off other people's work or resources without even so much as a token acknowledgement of where their inspiration came from, it calls their entire body of work into question.
And when people discover you have lack integrity, they no longer trust you. And once you lose that trust it can be impossible to gain that back. That is why they leave, block that artist, and refuse to engage further because if they can steal from others, what is to stop them from stealing from you?
Ugiugigi's downfall is ultimately from her own egotism, a misguided belief that she deserved praise while giving negative effort. And while there are still many like her out there, there is at least one less parasite to deal with.

I really want to write fan fiction again but, I'm kind of bad at articulating and creating different scenes and I thought about using chatgpt and I know that's frowned upon but I need help writing lol. Need some advice.
Do not use AI. People look down upon it for a reason. People will always have more respect for genuine, clumsy first attempts at writing rather than someone who publishes what a machine spit out for them. AI is not your work, and you will not improve by having a computer do things for you. I am being stern here to strongly discourage you from Shit GPT. If you tell people in the author’s notes that it’s your first fic, or first fic in a long time, you may very well get supportive comments! If anyone finds out it’s AI, at best, you’ll get people clicking out of the fic because they don’t think it’s worth their time to read something a person didn’t even write, and at worst, you might get angry comments calling you a cheater, in a similar way AI “artists” do. Please don’t do it. You’ll only be hurting your writing and the progression of your skills.
So, what should you do? First of all, know where your strengths lie and lean into them, and know where your weaknesses lie. I’ll give an example. Readers of my fic can feel free to confirm or deny my self-assessment, but I actually don’t think scenery and that kind of descriptive writing is my strong point. I think about what the reader needs to know about the physical space in a scene, maybe little things that could add to the atmosphere, such as describing candlelight glowing upon someone’s face, and I move on. I make sure the reader knows what’s happening in the physical space so nothing is vague or confusing, but that’s about it. I instead focus my writing on the internal monologue/prose of the character’s emotional state and dialogue, because I think those are my strongest points. That’s what I can do well and what pulls people in.
How to create a scene to begin with? It depends on the kind of fic you’re writing, but most of my fics have started out with me thinking about the characters so much that different scenarios pop into my head, and eventually, one takes root; or I’ll watch a scene and think it would be interesting to explore if it had gone differently. My current WIP is at 65k words with 6 chapters, and it began with the simple change to one scene in canon: Aziraphale and Crowley not simply knowing each other in Heaven as angels, but having a romantic relationship. A starting point as simple as that can produce a lot. Think about what you actually want to say about these characters, what kinds of scenarios you want to see them in. You can even think of a type of fic you’d love to read, and instead write it yourself. You can start small! Instead of searching for a fluffy morning-after in bed, for example, write it!
Once you have a starting point, ask yourself what is the most realistic, in-character next step for these characters. Good fic relies on good character analysis. That’s how you make your fic in-character. I generally don’t plan out my fics a lot, and instead have a core idea and some future scenes I want to write, and I ask myself how these characters would naturally build up to those future scenes. Would it be natural for the character to say this? What would they do in this situation you put them in?
Lastly: the key to writing well is reading. This goes for all kinds of writing. Read widely, read often. It helps you expand your vocabulary and to see how descriptions, dialogue, and the structure of scenes and stories work in real time. I began writing as a young teen, and while I absolutely think my writing is better now than it was in my first fics published in 2014, I was able to write at all because I was such a voracious reader at the time. It’s also why I was a good writer in school, because reading helps you write multiple types of pieces.
I hope this was helpful. Also, at the end of the day, it is just fan fiction. It’s fine if it’s not perfect. Open up a document and start jotting down ideas or snippets of dialogue to get your brain started

I Intentionally Start Shit in the Loki Tag
If you complain about Sylvie being "harmful queer rep" BUT want "Lady Loki" in the MCU, which was Loki possessing Sif's body just to torment Sif, I need you to sit down and shut up. a. Genderfluid people don't go by "Lady " when they're femme or women. b. If you don't see the transphobic dogwhistles in the comics possession subplot, I don't know what to tell you... But let's say that hag that wrote those crappy books would love it. c. If you weren't aware about this, maybe you should read the wiki at least before giving uninformed opinions.
I definitely agree that they should not have led people on with the promise of genderfluid rep during the promotion of the series. But get mad at Disney/Marvel for that. Not at the writers or Sophia Di Martino that had to cave in to Feige's demands. That's literally what they have to do.
I really don't give a damn about the "autogynephilia" allegations, which again, is ALSO PRESENT IN CIS WOMEN. Like why the fuck should I care about someone finding themselves hot? There's fascists out there. AGP even if it was a trans-specific thing harms no one. The only harm said to come from it is DUE TO FASCISM because it plays into RESPECTABILITY POLITICS.
If you use AI to create a "proper" Lady Loki or love interest for Loki, you can't complain about the blatant product placement in S2. I am not a fan of product placement either and won't defend it, but those are the rules. Show some integrity. And before you ask, I have not given a cent to Disney since they pissed me off with attempts to trademark Dia de los Muertos for Coco.
If you complain about how being a "Loki" is not a role (unlike Spiderman) and how it should have been all 100% Tom Hiddleston, you don't get to call it selfcest as a gotcha, because you're already differentiating between the variants with different DNA. Like do y'all hate selfcest or not? Make up your mind. The series treats a Loki as an archetype of sorts, so it can be a role. Also, having the same name does not make you related because we don't know what Sylvie's parents are? And we don't even know if Sylvie is also a Jotun, a prop claims she isn't.
If you say you want Sylvie dead but claim to not be misogynistic, because you'd love if a specific love interest from the comics or mythology replaced her, STFU. You only like those because you can project whatever the fuck you want onto them.
If you claim Sylvie is a misogynistic depiction of women but salivate over characters written by cishet white men in the 1960s-1980s that made wanting to fuck Thor or being in a monogamous marriage with Loki their entire personality (there's so MANY OF THESE), STFU. Do you hear yourself? And no, it's not misogynistic of me, a woman, to criticize offensive depictions of women by cishet white men. They're not real.
Our MCU!Loki is not the young adult Ikol reincarnation currently. Of course 20-something Verity is not going to be there! The Loki show should be praise for having multiple female cast members around the same age as the protagonist and pragmatic clothing choices that allowed SdM to nurse her baby.
Selfcest isn't real and I cry tears of boredom whenever someone clutches their pearls over it.
The comics aren't perfect. As much as I loved the recent Dan Watters run (and German Peralta's art), the comics art has some very questionable tendencies, especially regarding Loki's nose when she's femme. It's associated with how some kinds of facial features are considered masculine or feminine (and racialized). Noses have no gender, ffs! Women with nose bumps exist! For some reason Loki always has a tiny button nose when she's a woman or femme. There's also the BLATANT physiognomy that has ALWAYS PLAGUED Thor comics since their inception, and Loki's facial features as they've become more "grey" and less evil is an interesting study. Peralta's far from being the only artist with this problem, and is far from being the most problematic. For comparison from Loki (2023) run:

So seeing Tears for Fears use AI for their new album cover is such a punch in the gut. I'm adding them up to the pile of artists that I used to respect. (I still won't forgive Pink Floyd awarding a random ass dude for his AI generated music video in this contest they had, over the countless of people that truly worked their asses off to create meaningful visuals. Good job buddy, here's your money for having enough brain power to type a sentence on a software that does all the work for you, and you get to sit back and jerk off to the cryptobros praise while calling yourself an 'artist').
I don't understand how musicians can go for AI so easily. This is NFTs all over again. Bunch of boomers claiming they're joining a movement and 'getting with the times', when in reality what they're going for is hypocrisy. AI isn't art simply because art in itself is a human expression; and because whatever it generates is simply being stolen from people that have honed their crafts for years. There's nothing inherently artistic in 'AI art'. A picture of a pile of shit will always be more artistic than AI generated slop.
But of course, once musicians are affected it's when they immediately start talking about regulations, and how AI affects their creative process. This people shit out money so they really don't give a fuck about AI and the repercussions of, who in their eyes, are a bunch of nobodies. Small artists are worth nothing. Did these musicians forget they were a bunch of nobodies at some point too? Do these musicians forget that MUSIC is also a human expression?
#text#and when Julian Casablancas was confronted about his AI album cover he responded in such a dickhead way too... Fuck him tbh#i fucking hate people...#AI ART#AI#I'm venting cause I also keep seeing creators and artists i like on youtube use AI which... is like... did you get the clicks and the likes#did you enjoy your 15 minutes of fame with stolen material?

Welcome, please make yourself comfortable!
Hi! I'm Nul, your local clown, but you could call me Cherri or Rui! Those work too! Or you can call me CherriRui too if you want, that's fine ig. And this is my main! I'm an artist and occasional writer who is simply just creating silly content whenever I can. I'm currently working on my OCs and their stories but when I'm not doing that I enjoy making fan content for things I enjoy!
My art is mostly 2D (both digital and traditional) however I am slowly learning how to 3D model!
Finally decided to move over to tumblr and I'm happy to be here!
BEFORE YOU FOLLOW:
I never draw NSFW art, however, some of the content I make may contain elements that some may uncomfortable with ( I.e: Drawn blood/ body horror/ gore, heavy topics, etc ). Art with these aspects WILL be tagged as such so please keep that in mind.
Suggestive jokes will be made (Not all of the time but still worth noting)
I may be slow when it comes to answering questions or interacting in general. Also I either talk too much or too little and its never in between.
I like to include diversity in my content, so if you're a racist, homophobe, or anything like that then leave.
I am highly uncomfortable with things such as Proshipping (P*dophillic ships, Incest, etc), Gross Fetish content, depictions of irl death/ gore/ etc, and anything related to crypto. I also hate it when people call things I genuinely enjoy "cringe" or "dumb"
I do not consent to people using my content for AI/ NFT related purposes. Please respect that.
If you have any issues with me please don't be afraid to reach out to me about it.
I do not know what I'm doing 90% of the time. I'm just a little fella

Things to know:
I do not think AI art is inherently evil and terrible. I believe that if the art is clearly labelled and that if the generators are collecting their data and operating their services ethically that it is a perfectly fine tool to use. Unfortunately, as far as I know, that is not currently the case.
the true problem with certain uses of AI is capitalism
In that vein, I hate when AI art gets shown around completely unlabelled. If you claim AI art is its own art form it is imperative to label it as such at least in your tags to prevent confusion between digital or traditional artwork that was created manually.
So many of these AI images are stolen from the accounts that originally posted them. I’m not sure whether I personally consider that theft or if it is even legally theft, but in the process of reposting the picture they leave out important details like the fact it was AI generated in the first place.
These are all my personal opinions. This blog is not intended to be a place for me to open myself up to a bunch of discourse. I may reblog posts about AI but I will not engage with you if you are rude and incensed. That will get you blocked.
I myself am predominantly a digital artist (and sometimes a traditional artist when the mood strikes me) as well as a student of art history. This is my point of view as someone with knowledge in both historical artistic movements and the creation of art itself.
If you do not want to come across AI art I suggest blacklisting related tags. They will not always be labelled but many are.
Some tools that are called ‘AI’ have been around for years or serve extremely useful functions that do actually reduce the amount of tedious tasks a human would have had to perform previously. Such as generative fill tools in photoshop when used to edit a flaw from a photo, etc. AI has become a tech buzzword applied to any and every technology (usually for the sake of getting investors excited about it). This blog is mainly focused generative AI. Mainly images, but also sometimes LLMs (large language models) like ChatGPT or video/sound generation. I am not talking about the kinds of AI used by game devs to help NPCs function without coding every single one yourself or how in the Spiderverse movies they coded an ‘AI’ tool to help the 2D lines follow the 3D forms. There are many different kinds of tools called ‘AI’ and it has become a functionally useless term in some instances, as there are many varied forms it takes and often the classic idea of artificial intelligence from sci-fi (being a computer that thinks for itself) is not the actual implication.
If you are worried about energy usage involved in AI generation, please direct those criticisms to the organizations operating the models. They are the ones who are most responsible for that and the ones who can actually make a material change (and some indeed have been trying to).
The best thing you can do to ‘fight’ the negatives of AI is supporting independent artists.
We are all human beings who make mistakes (including me! please, I want you to always use your own critical thinking skills!) Give each other grace.
Post labelling
I will do my best to find the original source, including the original poster and what generator was used if I am able.
I will tag the posts with ‘ai image’, their respective generator (if applicable) and ‘synthography’ a term for computer generated art intended to set it apart from other art forms
I may speculate on images used to synthesize the final artwork if something comes across as particularly obvious to me.
Post submission
Send me posts you suspect are AI generated but unlabelled as such
Send me posts that you know are AI generated but reposted and unlabelled
Do not harass the original poster. If they are a reposter, block and report them. If they are an AI enthusiast and you don’t like AI, block them. If they turn out to be an artist posting their actual art for the love of god I hope you didn’t personally accuse them of generating their art and if you did go apologize immediately and profusely.
Tags to blacklist to avoid AI
Generative Art
AI Generated
AI Art
Midjourney
Dalle 3
Synthography
If I reblog from you….
Sorry
I probably follow you on my main blog
It is not a negative reflection on you if you could not identify an AI generated image yourself. I personally do not just rely on my eyes for these and try my best to find the image source to verify ai generation when possible.
Some AI generated concepts look cool I don’t blame you for reblogging them. I personally just wish people were more obvious about what is AI so that the average person can make better informed decisions about whether or not they want to share it. This is just so you can make that choice.

5, 13, 21, 30 for the artist asks? 👀 (btw you don’t have to answer 13 if you worry they’d take offense or something haha I just thought it was an interesting question!)
21 here :9
5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself
quite a bit i think. i tend to draw big canvases with upwards of 100 layers of Anything(tm) so about 20% actually sees the light of day 🧍… i’m shy
13. A creator who you admire but whose work isn't your thing
it’s ok i love opinion sharing 🧘♀️ this is HARD cuz i mean . smth smth art is subjective . i think all artists are dedicated to their craft and how/what they draw. smth not for Me works for Someone and that’s why art is awesum. besides i don’t tend to follow artists if i didn’t enjoy their work in some capacity LOL so u can have my opinion on a style: i’m not into anime realism
like i have respect and love for the artists. i empathize w them cuz this genre is ai art’s greatest victim. it’s very… art meant for easy consumption? “beautiful” and nothing else evocative? nothing challenging to the audience. a near perfect contemporary style for people who are afraid of art. easy to steal, clearly. it’s uninteresting to me to see a piece of art and only call it beautiful and be unable to dissect why beyond technical skill 🧍..
but also being technically well done is Not a bad thing. i do think these works are made skillfully. stylized realism presents unique challenges, and it’s awesome when ppl can figure it out for themselves. i’m not gonna name names cuz no one specific comes to mind but well u could just type realistic anime girl into google or whatever and you’ll get the idea 🫡
30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated
MAN normally i’d say i wish my ocs got attention. and i do. i love making my webcomics and talking abt my ocs and drawing them!! but it’s ok cuz well i know i love my ocs soooo. it’s ok
i’m gonna say this piece!! i don’t often do this type of work even though it’s a style i love working in. i was worried my intention wouldn’t come across very clear (heartbroken americana, i’ve been calling it) and i just don’t think i have the audience for this. it’s a little too vulnerable and too idealistic in discussing usamerican patriotism turning commodification into religious iconography… the higher powers of pop culture and the watering down of social identity by what we understand thru film lenses versus being oneself in their community… is this all buzzword talk. is the only way we can engage in greater issues is when someone can fictionalize it and create a safe barrier of reality disconnect. is it meaningful to create art about this when i myself am begging and needing my pain and grief to be understood through that same barrier. god was a 2 dollar cheeseburger before inflation

Saw your anti AI post and I agree so much.
I used to work with a friend who is a influencer and youtuber. They asked me to do the thumbnails since they love my art and I've been struggeling with money for a while.
It was a nice extra income.
Until they found AI and that they can just push a button and get free art immidiately.
So I got turned down silently. No official "hey I took something else" nothing. They just started using AI and stopped updating my art schedule. I had an argument with them about it and stated the issue with AI. They kinda don't care. They only see their own profit.
Mind you, this person is super leftist. I expected more from them especially because they complain a lot how other youtubers steal and copy their videos.
Also note: I did a very fair price, I even underpaid myself.
And now I have to see how I'll make through the next few months.
So yeah, AI doesn't only steal art, it steals jobs especially from small artists. I want this shit to fucking end already
First of all, I'm so so SO sorry this happened to you. I really hope that you still continue to stay creative, share your artwork and wishing you loads of business to keep up your art career. Situations like this are awfully discouraging, but I implore you to keep at it. We need real, human artists more than ever. Never stop creating friend.
Personally, I feel like the use of AI "artwork" typically made by so-called leftists or liberals outs that their solidarity is just performative. Whether they realize it or not, I feel as if you're competent enough to realize capitalism is not good for anyone (unless you're swimming in a billion dollars) that you'd come to the understanding AI "art" hurts the working class - because, lets be honest, if you're selling you're artwork/making art to sell, you're working. You're a worker. And it's just even more so baffling when other ARTISTS are making AI art "for shits and giggles" all while acknowledging that the production of AI artwork hurts artists. The cognitive dissonance is real - or or or - their activism is just performative. lol.
I won't support artists who use AI "art" and post it even if it's "just for fun". I don't care if you "just wanted to see" yourself in Greg Rutkowski's style or (the other artist's style, I cannot for the life of me remember their name) and share it on social media. One of my acquaintances on Facebook makes and sells jewelry and is supposedly an avid leftist, and another acquaintance of mine also does commissions and sells their artwork also via Facebook; yet recently posted AI self portraits and my respect for both of them quickly got flushed down the shitter.
Really, and I say this with every micrometer of my fuckn soul, feeding the generator and sharing your AI "artwork" is completely and disgustingly insulting for any competent artist (and I say competent, because this phase has proven some are in fact, not). For those who've posted and shared their AI "art", fuck you for even having the thought and ESPECIALLY a hot and steamy massive fuck you if you've ever acknowledged in the past the destruction of AI-generated artwork. Get shit on.
How to stop this? Stop feeding the fucking robot. Call out/educate those who post AI art. Stop supporting other artists that use and share AI art. While there are many things in a capitalist society we're unfortunately compliant to, this is one of those things we have the power to nip in the butt before it gets worse.

Hey!
I saw your comments on the AI post and sorry if this is annoying lol, I just wanted to say if AI art brings you joy then obviously you should have at it,
but I also wanted to say, as an artist, you left an impression on me. One I’m sure I’ll think about often from here on out.
I covet the “early” stages of art… learning a skill is difficult, but you can make anything of yourself in that window. There is no objectivity in art — no good, no bad, not even ugly. That is all opinion and mentality.
There were times I abandoned art, too, so I understand you. There were times I simply thought I was no longer going to be an artist. But eventually, by doodle or by the human need to create, I came back. And art block is also very real… but there are so many mediums to dig into, as well. Why not carve, sculpt, or even write? Your writing skills are quite nice, from what I read.
To conclude my message…After a long time (critical detail here:) studying and imitating art I *did* like that was made by others who inspired me, I had a breakthrough, and I’m now happy with what I can create. Still, I keep pushing myself. This doesn’t even mean my art is good (especially not in any objective sense), I am simply satisfied with it. I accept and love it. It is my mark on the world that I have every right to make.
I encourage you to read up a little on things like “naive art” — such raw self expression is innately human. Even if it doesn’t make you want to create again, perhaps you will find some beauty in it.
I don’t mean to proselytize. Simply put, from one member of our species to another, I’d like to impart you some anonymous encouragement.
Don’t let the glass be half empty when the whole of all art is sprawling endlessly and calling to you. Take up the space you have the right to, make a horrible mess on paper if that’s what it comes to. It is healing. It is necessary. It may not feel good immediately, but we all need some way to empty out our feelings. It’s like stretching out a stiff muscle until it can really work again.
I learned a long time ago to ignore the devil on my shoulder that said my work is meaningless.
I wish you the very best and much optimism for all that lies ahead, whatever it may be… and above all, peace! 🫂
First of thanks for making such a long, detailed and heartfelt comment. I appreciate and respect that. I never had art blocks myself. It was just my art was terrible but I get what you mean. I also pretty much quit writting. More recently realised not just drawing but all art I do is terrible and awful and plan to stop it all soon enough. I don't actually use AI art but wanted to say I could if I wanted to. Sorry for putting it poorly in that text. I just should not draw. I think I knew that since the start but little white lies I told myself put the truth away. I prob won't be doing any other creative art forms. They are just misserable amalgamations of my incompetance and stupidity. Hell who knows I maybe will finally be able to take my life. We can hope.
Peace🫂

Look AI as a *tool* or as something to *help* people make their own artworks is fine. I don't think anyone has a problem with it being a *tool*. Heck if it makes humans *making* the art easier (as in helps enrich their drawing skills/ helps overcome aphantasia, etc.), ex: like how digital models and art programs can help with visualising an idea or providing a neutral base to build the work on top of (even then you need to check copyrights!) that's awesome! Heck yeah for more human artists and human made art!
What really is the problem is the database for the AI being trained on other real human artists' works without consent or any permission of sorts, comparing it to being "getting inspired" (buddy you call it artificial intelligence for a reason....being inspired takes actual human/nature made intelligence plus comes from a place of empathy), pitting man against machine, straight up using it to insult (and harass) human artists, using it to replace artists for better profit margins/ devaluing artists as a whole, etc. just straight up not contributing to a constructive creative movement, the removal of empathy & emotions from creation....
Yeah. That's what makes people angry. It's essentially telling humans that what makes them human can be replicated by a machine (that wouldn't even exist without the actual human creatives in the first place) and that the innate joy of creating and consuming the joy of human made creations is worthless both emotionally and monetary.
It's really really sad!
And it really flips the phrase "Make art not war" onto its head.
It's even more sad reading about how in the late 1800s and 1900s people were hoping that automation comes by fast in the future for delegating work and tasks so they have TIME TO MAKE ART AND MUSIC! What a wonderful hopeful time that was!
To think the present has failed those of the past with automating creativity instead, the very thing they, the humans, longed for to do...
I'm just hoping the hellscape and demise of human nature is still far out into the realms of science fiction for now and that the voice of the creatives and their actions will be heard and *respected* so that art is still accessible for all but also *ethical/moral for all* (except the people trying to make a quick buck/ bent on stomping out & on other people because apparently no amount of ethics can save them from their fate 🙄)
To all my creatives out there: Please don't stop creating. Ever. For the sake of yourself, for your loved ones and for the world.
#ai art#the dragon lord rambles#anti ai art#ai art is art theft#ps any hate added to this WILL BE BLOCKED no warning or anything
