Being fair a Classic Shadow doesn't even make sense as:

1 - The Classic characters are nothing but the characters when they were younger, Shadow doesn't physically age, so he can't have a classic design because he never "was younger" like the others.

2 - With Sonic Superstars it was established that new Classic Games are just past adventures of the characters that happened sometime prior to Sonic Adventure, that's the past, the time before Shadow be awakened, then bringing him to the classic games would mess with the chronology as he only debuts in Sonic Adventure 2

I could go paragraphs and paragraphs about it, but everything always gets back to these two points (also I'm sleepy here)

Tips on Sonic model. I think I will make a neutral position for the quills. This model should include Sonic (and Terios of course), Shadow and the super version.

Some experiments for the foot topology. Only four toes, like most beasts. I base them on cats foot, not hedgehog foot (and anyway they're similar). The pads will be human like, hidden below the skin (actually, the only mammal that don't have pads are rabbits and hares).

Now, Feet and hands, aswell as face and ears need a more defined topology to move properly. Also, i need to shape the toes to make them more beast shaped (I see both cats and hedgehogs have apparently short toes. Also they are webbed actually). I won't do the web but I'll adapt the rig to allow the toes moving the right way.

So technically, Classic Sonic and Shadow don't really have their "classic" designs but instead modern recreations of their prototype designs, as we all know as basic Sonic knowledge, fan-named respectively Feels the Rabbit and Terios due to previous name suggestions during development,

Modern Sonic however is getting a true by word classic "Legacy" skin with his low poly dreamcast SA1 design, with Classic Sonic reportedly also getting a legacy "retro" skin as well.

So I suggest, to make things fair, Shadow also gets a lower poly SA2 skin and that Modern Sonic gets one his most well known unique prototype design, that being this one,

I think it was shown by someone the Terios skin pack Might be sold separately? I think, but tbh I'm not too sure. Iirc the digital deluxe stuff for superstars was sold separately like the Feels the Rabbit skin and lego skins for the crew but also I think Frontiers never did the same, leaving the traveler's cosmetic set to be limited to digital deluxe.

I think if it isn't tho, maybe we could make enough noise to ask the officials on twitter if they could? They've been surprisingly listening a lot with this game in particular

@thefantastician i caught up on everything and I HAVE THOUGHTS HEHE.... i watched the summer game fest trailer and these two levels gamescage played and man. shit looks fun as hell

in terms of gameplay i like what i've seen so far! i especially like what they're doing with the chaos control ability - i'm glad that chaos control is more based around skill rather than power or speed, and the fact that shadow essentially has a time-freezing ability in the game about time travel fits pretty well thematically lol. i do wish they would give him at least one gun but i know it's not gonna happen :(

i'm excited to see what the other levels bring, especially since it seems like they're combining a number of different areas/time periods in a few longer levels. i definitely prefer the quality over quantity approach, but i do see an evil timeline where there's only like. three levels total. and if that happens i will die laughing lmfao

oh and also the artstyle!! i fuckin ADORE the kaleidoscopic and dream-like direction they took the second half of the space colony ark level, i really hope it gets wackier and weirder beyond that point. and i was surprisingly impressed by some of the character animation as well! doom's eye looks FANTASTIC and i love that he swims around like a little freak. shadow's animation is also incredibly fluid, i love the moments where he stumbles or slides into his next movements - it adds a more personal level of intensity i feel like is sometimes missing from sonic games. the facial animation is still really stiff though. shadow's only two expressions are >:| and >:o

and after finally seeing the wings and the preorder bonuses, i have. some sort of theory. i don't really have enough evidence yet to put anything into words and it's very likely that i'm onto absolutely nothing here BUT. i sense a few possible connections:

OPINION ON TRUE LOVE: well, he’s a cynic, so that stuff’s never been something he put too much stock in, if he ever even thought about it. i think some part of him wants to believe that good people with a bit of luck can experience it, though. maybe not the whole ‘there’s only one person that’s your soulmate and that you belong to and they’re the one you should spend your whole life with and if you don’t find them you failed at life’ deal, but, well. let’s just say by now he’s aware that one single person can make you very happy OPINION ON LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: technically if hate at first sight is a thing (which it definitely is), then love at first sight can be too, not that he’s ever come close to experiencing that. much like hate at first sight, though, it really doesn’t say much about what your opinion of this person you’re seeing for the first time will become after a while HOW ‘ROMANTIC’ ARE THEY?: he has just about zero instinct when it comes to romance. any romantic gesture on his part is either a result of rouge’s influence or a total coincidence. he displays certain manners at all time such as holding doors and paying the bill because he was raised to be old-fashioned polite, not because he’s trying to be romantic. he might bring flowers because he thinks they’re pretty, not because he’s trying to be romantic. he’ll get real affectionate once he’s comfortable enough simply because he’s hella touch-starved - not because he’s trying to be romantic. you get the gist.

IDEAL PHYSICAL TRAITS: don’t eat garlic stuff right before getting all up in his face. no but seriously there isn’t any in particular to be honest, he’s not really shallow in that sense. of course he’ll be more physically drawn to typically attractive people, people who stand out in some way like from having really nice green eyes or a good smile or for being in good shape. i realize after typing these examples that it probably sounds like im describing someone in particular but that was completely unintentional- the point is that anyone can be attractive for one trait or another. it doesn’t really matter romance-wise because shadow is super demi anyway so he won’t be interested in anyone he doesn’t have a deep emotional connection with, after which someone’s apparence becomes trivial IDEAL PERSONALITY TRAITS:  being able to put up with him would be a good start ? he’s not exactly the friendly kind, anyone who gets a little too chummy will get pushed away eventually and it takes a lot of patience and determination to get through to him past that stage. and if you do then you have to deal with his odd attachment behavior and trust issues and force of habit all of which usually translate in misplaced hostility on his part. shadow is no picnic UNATTRACTIVE PHYSICAL TRAITS: oh is this where i bring up the garlic stuff again. yeah once more there’s nothing inherently bad here, if anything he might be put off by people who share traits with other people he knows (or knew) and doesn’t want to be reminded of ? but it’s nothing all that extreme UNATTRACTIVE PERSONALITY TRAITS: laziness, probably. people who actively avoid doing their part, who are unreliable and never take responsibility will always get under his skin

IDEAL DATE: it happens. no really, he’ll take what he can get. if he can go on a date with someone he likes it’s plenty good enough for him and he’ll likely enjoy it regardless DO THEY HAVE A TYPE?: g...good people i guess. like, morally good. whether the help everyone everywhere good or steal from the rich give to the poor good. so long as there’s good in you, you’re susceptible to be his type AVERAGE RELATIONSHIP LENGTH: there’s no real answer to that question. i want to say that so long as it’s working out it could last indefinitely, but shadow’s got a lot of work to do on himself still. he’s got some serious personal issues with tying himself to people due to past trauma and honestly ? any bad episode he goes through mentally has a certain amount of chance of resulting in him ending things because he doesn’t feel he’s meant for this PREFERRED NON-SEXUAL INTIMACY: sleeping together.... he’s a little weird about sleeping in that he doesn’t need it the same way normal people do, so he can easily put it off whenever it’s convenient for him which overtime translated into him never letting himself fall asleep with people around. so sleeping intimacy feels really special once he’s comfortable with it and really helps him ground himself, never mind all the comfort and cuddling it can also involve
