Just a little self promo for today because I’ve been thinking about my baseball au recently ✨ (I thought this would be the longest fic I ever wrote but army marriage of convenience is on track to be slightly longer…)

Kiss Me Before it’s Over (If Only for a Minute)

A flash of tanned skin from the corner of his vision catches Buck’s attention, causing him to turn away from his teammates. Across the room is Eddie Diaz, illuminated by the lights of the bar, smiling and laughing with his own teammates. Something churns in Buck’s stomach as he watches him. Buck’s gaze travels down Eddie’s body in spite of himself. He’s unable to stop, realizing he’s never seen Eddie wearing anything but his Angels uniform – the guy keeps his life outside baseball completely private. The soft blue Henley he wears dips low on his chest, exposing his collar bones, and his biceps threaten to rip through the sleeves. Buck’s mouth goes dry as his eyes travel lower, to the black jeans that hug Eddie’s strong thighs. Slowly, Buck’s eyes find their way back to Eddie’s face.

Buck freezes, caught by Eddie’s brown eyes, dark across the room. The music and voices fade into the background as Buck stands trapped by Eddie’s gaze. Heat blooms in his stomach as Eddie’s gaze travel oh so slowly down Buck’s body and back up.

Anger, Buck tells himself. That’s what he’s feels as he stares back at Eddie. But in the back of his mind, he’s just tipsy enough to admit that this feeling in his chest is not anger.

When Eddie’s eyes find Buck’s again, there’s a look on his face that Buck has never seen on the other man before. Buck tells himself that, too, is anger. That Eddie is itching for a fight after Buck hit a homerun on his final pitch. He ignores the tipsy voice in the back of his mind that says the look in Eddie’s eye is also not anger.

I'm assuming Finn in this scenario would be transfem? Which, in that case, I think Rachel would be incredibly supportive (a bit of a try hard ally, like she is in the show sometimes lol). Season 1 Finn is like... that's my son or perhaps my little brother. I love his dumb ass sm 🥺 I would die for transfem Finn tbh. Santana's Finnessa jokes would have a whole new meaning alsjdh

Unfortunately I'm not a huge Finchel shipper just bc I feel like there were many times throughout the show when the relationship had run it's course and the characters should have moved on. BUT I think they have some really sweet and funny moments and I still enjoying seeing them interact in earlier seasons!

I think this is a really cute idea and I'd love to know if anyone else has created any Finchel yuri content 👀

I’m slowly but surely writing the wedding fic, buuut I’ve got a few little ideas floating around in my head that are tempting me

Army marriage of convenience: best friends Buck and Eddie are in the army together, when Eddie’s unit is stationed on the other side of the country, Buck and Eddie decide to get platonically married so that the army will have to station Buck in the same city. Just two bros who don’t want to live far away from each other. Definitely not in love…

Time Travel au: Buck and Eddie are time travelers, but they’re moving in different directions in time (a la River Song and the Doctor style)

Musician Buck: this one is just vibes at the moment 🤷‍♀️ buck is a startup musician singing at local bars and Eddie is just some guy who falls in love

A farewell to arms au: WWI ambulance driver Eddie and Nurse Buck meet on the frontlines. I know I’ve mentioned this one before and am probably the only one excited about it alsjdhs but I have started the planning/outlining process for this one
