James took a sip of his coffee, looking with shining eyes at his husband, especially at his big 7 months bump, but his mother Euphemia had already told them that she was the same during her pregnancy, “he was a big baby” which did not please Severus.

– A little – he left his cup of tea on the saucer, he could not drink coffee like James, so he had to conformed with that even if he needed it due to his now less hours of sleep – I looked at the Prince and Potter family tree, I'm still unsure, so I made a list, I can show it to you when you’re back from work.

– Hmm… – he nodded – why don't we name him with a normal name? like…Harry.

Severus looked at him in silence.

– If you had already decided on a name you should have told me – he answered annoyed, turning around to walk away from his husband – I wasting time looking for names, when you already had one!

– It's a suggestion! – he shouted when he saw him going up the stairs, clearly annoyed – you love him, James Potter, remember that you love him and that he is carrying your pup in him…you love him, you love him, you love him…

He really did, but there were times when fighting turned out to be the only thing they did and the only solution to settle their differences at night, was in their bed.

The Wolf and the Serpent - Severus Snape x Remus Lupin Omega fanfiction

My Harry Potter Omegaverse stories revolving around Alpha Remus and Omega Severus - set mostly in Marauder and First Wizarding War Era, but do have a currently on-going fic that is set when Harry is a young child. While I do take note of events that occurred in Canon, the stories are pretty much fall into the realm of AU; Prime examples being Remus and Severus are a couple AND Severus does not become a Death Eater straight out of Hogwarts AND when he does become a Death Eater, he's already a double-agent for Dumbledore. The nickname “Snivellus” derives from the word “snivel,” which means crybaby. So, Snivellus was basically a way of mocking the fact that Severus might show his emotions—that instead of toughing it out like a stereotypical, macho, strong, hairy-chested man, he cried. I don’t think I need to explain why this nickname is problematic—any nickname used to bully someone is problematic—but a nickname that also references a supposed weakness, stemming from the expectations of a patriarchal society for men to display “unmanly” behavior typical of “weak” men, is not just problematic due to the bullying itself but also because of the misogynistic implications it carries. Because yes, misogyny and hegemonic gender roles also affect men by demanding certain traits from them to validate them socially. And I know the Marauders lived in the 1970s, and that Rowling is one of the worst when it comes to gender issues. But I find it quite ironic how Marauders Stans or Slytherin Skittles, who have built their trash fandom and constant Snape-bashing around the topic of LGBTQ+ themes, have the audacity to mock Snape using a nickname that directly attacks gender nonconformity and justifies a toxic, traditional masculinity that shames men who cry or show emotions, labeling them as less valid.

The Marauders weren’t social justice warriors, and James and Sirius, in particular, embodied the classic values of male success through the performance of stereotypical “macho” characteristics: as leaders, as “alphas” of the pack. Both are violent; both are cocky men who try to stand out and mark their territory. Both exhibit behaviors that have typically been excused in men just because they are men, such as abusive and reckless behavior. Their nickname for Severus stems from the idea that showing emotions—especially crying—if you are a man, is a reason for ridicule and mockery because men don’t cry. Men are supposed to be strong, puff out their chests, and keep going because that’s what men do. It’s a misogynistic and archaic mindset that continues to be perpetuated in social models and relationships to this day. And I find it incredibly hypocritical that certain people who claim to hate J.K. Rowling for being a transphobe then go on to appropriate the horribly sexist nicknames she created for a group of heterosexual men embodying toxic masculinity to bully another man for not performing the traditional masculine model expected of someone like him.

Because Severus wasn’t a “macho”. Severus was a studious introvert with a more passive character who didn’t fit into the masculine vision of the time. Everything about him, including his appearance, demeanor, and interests, is unmasculine from a hegemonic perspective given the historical context. But these people don’t care. They’re so limited, so ignorant, and so cynical that they not only ignore these kinds of nuances but even find it funny to reproduce insults that any real-life James Potter would probably have used against them.

Make no mistake: James Potter and Sirius Black wouldn’t have been your friends. They would have tortured you as much, if not more, than Snape. And that’s the most pathetic part of their fandom, unfortunately.

Jaune's eyes were wide with fear as he watch Salem approach with the bowl in hand. He twisted and thrashed, but it was of no use. Salem with but a wave of her free hand summoned more shadow-hands to hold him still. Soon she was standing over him. Her face impassive... completely emotionless.

Salem: I would wish you luck... but honestly don't care. If you survive you will be mine wholly, if you do not... it's one less insect to crush.

With those words Salem, tipped the bowl over spilling the sludge like fluid over Jaune's face. Jaune wanted to scream as he felt the black slim, move. First was fear and then there was absolute pain. HIs back arched off the floor as liquid tendrils invaded his eyes, nose, mouth and ears.

His body contorted, and thrashed as the pressure of the invading substance let way to a searing pain flooding through his entire being.

Salem: Interesting.

Jaune's heart slammed against his rib cage as his mind twisted and fragmented. But Salem did not see that, change, no she only saw his blanching skin, bleaching hair, and the black veins of Grimm essence snaking through the places where his flesh was exposed.

Salem: So she did survive. That is quiet unexpected, but useful. Yes it would be useful, so much more than recruiting the dregs I am forced to associate with.

The shadow hands retreated back into the floor, as Jaune's writhing calmed. Salem was impressed with how completely her tainted Grimm essence melded with her distant descendant. It was if it was meant to be. Jaune's eyes fluttered open. The azure blues that had Pyrrha swooning in life... were gone. Black and red looked up at the embodiment of evil.

Salem: You're perfect! Rise my child. Rise.

Jaune said nothing as he rolled onto his side and slowly crawled to his knees, before finally climbing to his feet. He turned and faced the Queen of the Grimm. The twisted being that had tainted his very soul with her poison.

Salem: Tell me. Where is you family? How many are there of our blood?

Jaune: ...

Salem: Answer!

Jaune: ...

Salem: Impudent child! I am your mistress you will answer me!

Jaune: ...

Salem: If you won't volunteer the information I'll rip it from you head myself!

Salem moved forward intent on using her powers to shred Jaune's mind in search of answers, but she never was given the chance. Jaune's fist connected with her sternum sending her sailing through the air to crash into one of her ancient tables. Slowly she rose from the debris and snarled.

Salem: I... will break... you...

Jaune: You... can... try...

From the shadows of the room, a pack of Alpha Beowulf emerged. Called to being by their mistress. Though she wouldn't admit it, she was impressed that the young gimmified man standing in defiance of her didn't even flinch.

Salem: I do not have to try.

Jaune's snaped out with each of his hands, releasing twisting tendrils of dripping black and white ooze, that impaled the several Alpha's surrounding him.

Jaune: You will never touch... my family...

Salem: How is this possible?

As Salem and Jaune stared each other down, their respective creations tore into one another with ruthless and reckless abandon...
