Bunch of Copper Refs

This took me, so so long. But I have 4 Copper and their front and back refs!

... Ok so I went a bit overboard-

This will contain spoilers to Copper's backstory along with lln.

Uh trigger warning for, scars, mention of suicide attempts, self harm, and other violence mentions for said scars. Also... uh nudity ig? It's nothing vulgar or anything.

The first is for the main Copper, before he turns 30 anyway

Here he be! As he grew his body became covered in scales.

So as you can tell this is just a basic ref, I think I would've lost my mind if I did more.

Here's his outfit, not changing again hopefully-

This is AH!Copper, or Clementine.

Most Copper's have similar injuries made by the incident. Also I forgot to put it but the silver color is what was done by "Cyan", or what happened while he was stuck with him.

Due to Cyan, he lost both his lizard features, and most of his hero powers

Here's Alone!Copper or Tabby! He has a bit of actual backstory now believe it or not.

Tabby basically is a Copper who wasn't found by Sabre after the incident. He sat in the place his parents were killed for months, slowly losing his hope. It rid of his hero title, but right before his immortality faded he was founded. Not by anyone good though.

Due to not being a hero anymore, his form changes into the neko you see. The reason is, due to his heritage Copper would've been a neko if he hadn't been a hero. He's mainly on the streets, and is in a very fragile mindset due to everything that happened to him, feral in a way.

Yeah, I'm dark we all know-

Here's how he dresses once he is healed enough to be able to choose his own outfit, he appreciates feminine clothing, like other Copper's would wear if they weren't so focused on being strong.

Finally this is 30 year old Copper! All heroes when they're 30 hit their peek, gaining a new form and growing extremely powerful. Copper becomes a dragon! And actually starts growing facial hair-

Nock (or corrupted Annihil, depends on the au) rips off both his right leg and left arm during the corruption, and after TIO happens he only has enough power to regrow his leg.

I haven't designed his armor yet, so I didn't draw him in clothes-

This took about a week-

Anyway! He's not the only one getting this treatment, just the first one I finished... I need a break from drawing first though-

I'm a little sad nobody guessed Pixlriffs. He only helped Grian to figure out respawns and lives, since he was the one who kept track of lives and deaths on Empires smp...and then he "mysteriously" dissapeared ;)

but honestly that is a good reminder remember cat is only 10 when she first meets copper. she is barely over 4 feet, she's hungry and not in the best of conditions. he is a 6'8 man of muscle and war training. yeah, even after years of dealing with him and then being away from him, he is a nightmare to her. even now. cat believes and knows she probably could get the upper hand now. but every instinct in her, every fiber of her personality is trained in on fear of him. even just his presence can disarm her into obedience after what he did.

The function level thing is so crucial. If the only thing you tell them about is a subjective feeling, the provider can label you as hysterical, a crybaby, a hypochondriac, etc. if they’re so inclined.

Another one is highlighting a substantial change. “My normal is X, but the new situation is Y” gets their attention a lot faster than “I’m experiencing Y”. There’s a pretty wide variance in what can be normal across the entire population, but each individual has a much smaller range of normal. Falling within the general population’s range of normal but well outside your own range can mean that big problems get overlooked or written off.

Example: everyone gets headaches once in a while! If you go in to the doctor and say “hey, I’ve been having a lot of headaches,” they’re going to mentally compare you to every patient they’ve treated who’s said the same thing. That doctor has seen three hundred people who’ve said “I’ve been having a lot of headaches lately” which meant 1-2 headaches a month caused by lifestyle choices like drinking, smoking, diet, and screen use. They’ve seen one person who said “I’ve been having a lot of headaches lately”, which meant 5-6 migraines a week caused by a malignant brain tumor. If you come in and say “hey, I’ve been having a lot of headaches lately,” their first assumption is going to be that you need to make simple lifestyle changes, and if those don’t work then that means there’s a larger problem they can check out when you come back. (In a better world, doctors wouldn’t operate solely on first assumptions, but— in the US at least— we’re facing a provider shortage, and the middlemen like administrators and insurers have imposed so much bureaucracy that the few providers we do have often literally do not have the time to treat based on anything other than first assumptions.)

But if you walk into this doctor’s office and tell them you’ve gone from 3 headaches every month to 3 headaches every week, all of a sudden you’re looking much less like someone who didn’t realize drinking 4 beers every night could cause hangovers, and much more like somebody who has a problem which warrants investigation.

So many people who get periods are like “Ugh it sucks that having a menstrual cycle makes you almost die every month” like no that’s not normal you need to go to the doctor

I've thought about starting a campaign with this thinking in mind, where upon reaching the town nearby it becomes clear that the bandits were born out of a system of inequity and poverty. A system where one would be more likely to make a fortune risking their life getting coin from a stranger than working for decades under the crown.

Maybe bandits are bad because...they kill people lol? Do you even like this game holy shit. It's fiction

Alright, I'm going to explain this like you're ten, since obviously you missed high-school English class:

The bandits in d&d are fictional, which means they're made up by a DM acting as a writer

To be a good writer, you need to have an idea what motivates the characters in your story because that's what drives your antagonists to oppose your protagonists and vice versa

You have to be pretty motivated to be willing to kill a stranger for money, moreso to assemble a small sports team worth of similarly desperate individuals and attack a well armed group of travellers as part of a basic random encounter.

A good writer might be able to look at their world and come up with a believable reason why these characters they made up have resorted to violence. They might use that information to make the story better later on, relating what seems like a one-off encounter to a greater plotline so it's not just meaningless filler

Because they thought about it for more than three seconds, the DM can design the encounter with the bandits in line with their goals and motivations, and can allow for solutions to the encounter that aren't just violence, meaning they can get more done in that session.

I love this game, which is why I think about it a lot and hold it to atleast a passing standard. Unlike you, who is evidently allergic to thinking in general.
