How did Elvis took care of his awesome hair? 🚿🍃
Plus, a quick overview on one of the King's hairdressers and Memphis Mafia man, Larry Geller: How somewhat he was the friend Elvis needed and how Elvis' over-controlling inner circle banned Geller from their surroundings for a while.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was actually looking if I could find Elvis' haircut name - precisely the type of haircut he had on the '68 Comeback Special and "Charro!" (1968), since I'm a girl and I have zero idea about the names for male haircuts but I just love that haircut he had so much I wanted to talk about it... anyway. But I found an article about Elvis' hair care routine and that sounds very interesting to me, so it might be something you wanna know too.
This is told by Larry Geller, so this means this was Elvis' hair routine starting from mid 60's on, precisely from 1964 to 1967, and possibly also from late 1972 to 1977 *, periods in which Larry was responsible for taking care of the King's hair.
Geller, who will be launching his own line of organic hair products later this year, tested out some of his first custom mixes on Elvis. “I used to go to the health food store and get a benign base shampoo and get some vitamin capsules and pour 99 percent pure aloe vera and other herbs into it, and shake it up,” Geller tells Yahoo Beauty. “That’s what I used on Elvis’ hair. He said to me, right from the get-go, ‘You can do whatever you want with my hair, but one thing — make sure I keep it!’” Source: Yahoo Beauty: Elvis Presley’s Hairstylist Spills the King’s Secrets by Lilit Marcus. The article was shared on a Graceland's website on January 28, 2014.
Elvis, you're the best, man. LOL. Just that comment is worth this entire post. It made me laugh. But the article goes on.
Then there was the daily routine. “I shampooed his hair regularly, usually every day. I would massage his scalp for a few minutes, then brush his hair at least 50 or 60 strokes. I was focused on long-term health of his hair, which was so important,” Geller explains. He also used products like vitamin E and jojoba oil to style Elvis’ hair and replace conditioner. Hairspray was used to set it, with Geller alternating multiple brands so that none of them would dry out Elvis’ coif too much. As for its color, Geller dyed Elvis’ hair every two to three weeks with a L’Oreal formula. What did the two men discuss during all that grooming? Religion, philosophy, books, life, and anything else you can think of. “Elvis had everything,” says Geller. “He was an extraordinary human being. He had the greatest eyes, the greatest voice, fans galore. He also had great hair.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Elvis in "Frankie and Johnny" and "Spinout", both 1966 movies.
Larry Geller styled Elvis’ hair for: "Roustabout" (1964), Girl Happy (1965), Tickle Me (1965), Harum Scarum (1965), Frankie and Johnny (1966), Paradise, Hawaiian Style (1966), Spinout (1966), Easy Come, Easy Go (1967), Double Trouble (1967), and Clambake (1967). Geller prepared Elvis’ hair for the last time for his funeral in August, 1977.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elvis' hair must have been so good smelling and soft. Washed every day, organic products to make it smooth and shiny as it was. 🫠🥹
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, if you want to understand why there's a pause in Larry's association with Elvis, here it is:
LARRY GELLER QUITS WORKING FOR ELVIS IN 1967: INDIRECTLY CAUSED BY ELVIS' HEAD INJURY POSTPONING THE FILMING FOR 'CLAMBAKE'.
On March 9, 1967, Elvis was staying in him home in Bel Air, Los Angeles, and one incident (Elvis tripped over a TV cord in his bathroom and banged his head against a porcelain bathtub) caused the beginning of the production for the movie "Clambake", for which he was preparing to, to be postponed. Colonel Parker was fuming when he heard about the need for Elvis to take a couple of weeks of resting to recover from the mild concussion he had. It was a critical moment in Elvis' life. By the time the filming begun, Elvis even put up some weight from his normal 170 lb (77 kg) to 200 lb (91 kg) — I said it before, whenever this happened to Elvis' body it was because he was extremely distressed. He was an emotional eater.
Getting back to the accident, Parker even thought Elvis did it on purpose not to fulfill his Hollywood commitment since Presley clearly was not happy about his movies anymore, something Parker somehow blamed it on Elvis' spiritual quest. He pulled some strings to manipulate Elvis to remove Larry Geller from his inner circle by saying to him that all that spiritual thing was getting too much into his head, distracting him from his business obligations. If not enough Parker said to Presley that Larry Geller was brainwashing him because of some personal agenda he must have had in his mind — it's mentioned by someone, somewhere (i'm sorry, I'm not gonna remember where I've read it now) that Geller was planning on using Elvis' money to open a religious study center or something like that).
Basically, Parker thought Larry was a threat because if Elvis decided in throwing his career away, like some say he was by becoming a preacher, Parker would lose his most profitable and only client. Consequently all the religion and spiritual "shit" (as they called) that Larry Geller had put inside the King's head (as they thought), presenting him with many books and having deep conversations for hours with Elvis about several religious and spiritual subjects but not exclusively that, they also talked about meditation and self improvement as a human beings, astrology and so on, all of that was threatening Parker's plans over Elvis.
But Parker didn't make it on his own. Even Priscilla says in her memoir book that Elvis was obsessively reading non-stop and wanting to share his learning with everybody else, but his friends and herself didn't care about none of this self-improvement and religious talk. His inner circle even looked at Presley's spiritual quest as somewhat annoying, including Priscilla. Their thoughts about Larry Geller were something like "Larry changed his mind. Elvis is not spending time with us as he used to." Ugh!
Nobody actually told Larry to leave, tho, and Elvis wouldn't do such thing if he didn't have a good reason to - until this point Larry was a confidant to him, one of the only people he could talk about life and wonder what was God's plan for him, his true life mission, something Elvis would never cease trying to understand. However, Elvis' inner circle and Colonel Parker begun making Geller feel uncomfortable, unwelcome among the group, while they took Elvis' attention back to them, practically forcing Geller to decide to finally leave and go away for good, and he did it. But it was not something definite.
Many things happened in Elvis' life since Larry Geller and him went different ways but by August 1972, tho, Geller got back in contact in Elvis when he attended one of Presley's concerts in Las Vegas, and from then on Larry begins working for Elvis again, till the end of the King's life in 1977.

simple skincare tips!
🌼eat the foods that love you back. your skin is a direct mirror of your internal situation. if your digestive system is being bombarded often by foods that create a lot of wastes and residues, that does more harm than good. and so, the struggle to eliminate them will be reflected in your skin. your diet constitutes the vast majority of your skin health. change your meals to be whole food plant based (still delicious, satisfying, and exciting) & watch your skin glow and your skincare routine simplify.
🌼be conscious of what's going on your skin. the skin layers can be over-cleansed, imbalanced, and aggravated when the skin microbiome and pH are disrupted. if you wipe out the beneficial bacterial populations with harshly formulated products, you may find that you break out (i.e. harmful bacterial populations begin to thrive). use gentle, simple skin formulas such as castile soaps, natural oils & butters (i recommend jojoba oil for mostly everyone), natural soap bars, and clays. most commercial skin care products disturb the skin cells (introduce too much foreign material to the body, unsuitable pH ranges, imbalance the microbiome, etc). they sell because it's convention to buy them, the brands are well-known, and their sales pitches are enticing. but really, no cream or serum will ever be the magic potion your skin was asking for. it will only be a band-aid, at best. truly healthy skin comes from diet, and the products are just for any other necessary maintenance. if you get a pimple, you should look first to why the pimple emerged, not what treatment will remove it.
🌼keep your lymph flowing. simple ways to do this are through good lifestyle habits. things like doing exercise & sports you find fun, breathwork, dry brushing, eating lots of fruit, avoiding wearing bras & other tight clothing items, lymphatic massage/gua sha can all be helpful.
🌼focus on hydration via fresh fruits and veggies. the water within plant foods is more useable to your cells, and your skin will cease being overly oily or dry overtime (especially if you reduce/eliminate your salt & oil intake). it will also help to encourage lymphatic flow, so you can see problems like blemishes, cellulite, old scars diminish after great consistency.
🌼allow your skin to breathe. this is especially good if you spend time in stuffy (poorly ventilated) indoor environments, like offices, hospitals, planes, etc. one great way is via herbal facial steaming (i recommend it 3x a week or so). make a hot infusion of an aromatic tea, cover it and allow it to cool a few minutes, and, with closed eyes, allow the pores to open and receive the herbal medicine (this is a great time to meditate, manifest, and just feel pampered). getting more fresh air, working up a sweat, and going to a sauna are also ways to allow your skin to breathe.
🌼avoid steroid prescriptions creams at all costs. they are very deleterious to health in the long term, and they can be very painful to come off of. it's not a real fix. it's not worth hurting your kidneys & adrenals for. evaluate your diet instead. do you eat dairy? choose plant-based dairy options instead (they're simple to make yourself too). do you eat a lot of fats? try oil-free cooking methods instead (opt for sautéing with a bit of water, baking, steaming, air frying, etc). avoiding eating out as much.
🌼be aware of what you're putting in your hair as well. your shampoos, conditioner, leave-ins, gels, moisturizers, oils, serums, etc all tend to touch your face too, when your hair touches your face. if they wouldn't be good enough to put on your face, don't put them in your hair. a lot of the best skin cleansers are also suitable as shampoos. a lot of oils and butters can be used for both. plant-based gels like aloe vera or flax seed are simple to DIY, and are dual-use once again. basically, this will simplify your life.
🌼understand the water that runs through your pipes. if your shower and tap water are like most people's around the world, they aren't optimal for our skin. for example, they contain added chemicals to sanitize the water but that can prevent the proper microbiomes from developing on your skin. a weak skin microbiome is prone to skin issues. so, try to use distilled water on your face (if you're not able to get a water filter, a gallon jug at a store is affordable. they're about $1.30 USD in my area).

do you have any tips for a dry scalp?
Your scalp is also a part of your skin so you need to treat it similarly to how you'd treat dry skin, and dry skin is treated by getting moisture into it.
So I'd recommend a hydrating hair mask or oiling it once a week with either castor/coconut/avocado/jojoba oil (massage and leave in for 30 mins before double washing), using a chemical exfoliant or a few drops of hyaluronic acid on your scalp, using a scalp massage brush, and using aloe vera (you can use before washing your hair, after washing your hair, rinse it out or leave it in, whatever suits you). If it's flakey and itchy use a gentle tea tree shampoo.
Don't sleep with wet hair and wash your hair as soon as it starts feeling oily or greasy instead of letting it build up. Make sure you're not using too hot water when washing your hair as it will cause more dryness. It could maybe be caused by an allergy to sulfates in your shampoo so try products without sulfates.
If it's a persistent problem see a dermatologist, they can prescribe medicated shampoos.

Natural Hair Care – A Comprehensive Guide
Natural haircare routines are essential to keeping locks looking their best and healthy. Finding a style that works for you and sticking to it are the keys to successful locks care.
Afro-textured hair presents unique challenges when it comes to styling and maintenance. Many women turn to natural hair regimens to address these concerns.
Understanding Your Hair Type
Before embarking on your natural hair journey, you must understand what type of texture your hair possesses. Doing this will enable you to choose an appropriate style and care for it appropriately.
Although many people use various products on their hair, reducing this use will help promote healthier growth. Selecting natural options tailored to your hair texture will simplify styling.
If your straight hair tends to get oily quickly, using dry shampoo might help control the excess production of oils. Or you could try applying a light serum that distributes oils evenly across your scalp.
If you have wavy or curly locks, lightweight mousse or curl-defining cream is an excellent way to style them. Remember not to add too much product, as too much can weigh down and lead to frizz. To keep strands looking smooth and manageable, avoid combing too often and opt for protective styles like braids or weaves; styling gel can also add definition.
The Importance of a Balanced Diet for Hair Health
Beginning the journey to healthier hair starts with eating well. According to trichologist Guy Parsons, healthy hair can be defined as “hair that grows from each follicle in an orderly fashion and aligns well with an intact scalp.”
He suggests including high-protein foods into your diet, such as sardines (which have low saturated fat content), mackerel, and salmon, as they contain omega-3 fatty acids, protein, and vitamin B2 B3 D which all play an integral part in keeping hair strands healthy.
Avoid over-washing, as this can strip natural oils from your hair, leaving strands looking dry. Parsons recommends a natural shampoo free from sulfates and alcohol for best results.
Natural hair care ingredients, like aloe vera, tea tree oil, and apple cider vinegar, can help balance your scalp’s pH level, reduce inflammation, and kill any dandruff-causing fungus that might otherwise exist on your strands. They may even add shine. Lastly, drink plenty of water throughout the day to hydrate strands properly and prevent breakage or split ends; adding leave-in conditioner or hydrating spray into your routine can further assist this goal.
Natural Ingredients for Hair Care
As you establish a hair care routine, search for natural ingredients that nourish and protect your strands. Renewable botanical oils like shea butter, jojoba oil, and argan oil help keep your scalp’s natural oils intact while shielding the ends of strands from damage. Utilizing such natural remedies reduces your need for harsh chemicals that could otherwise dry out and flake out your locks, causing itchy follicles or flaky scalps.
Avoid products containing sulfates as these substances have been known to irritate skin and cause genetic mutation. If possible, seek natural products labeled “sulfate-free.”
Tea tree oil is another fantastic ingredient to look out for when selecting shampoo and conditioner products, as it stimulates hair follicles to promote growth while profoundly nourishing hair and scalp. Aloe vera also plays an integral role in maintaining healthy scalp conditions. At the same time, its low molecular weight allows it to penetrate hair strands to leave soft, smooth locks with healthy-looking locks.
DIY Natural Hair Masks
There are a few natural hair products you can incorporate into your routine to protect it from damage, such as:
NaturAll’s deep conditioning treatment for dry, thirsty tresses is perfect for parched locks. It contains raw avocado – known for its hydrating properties – and organic tea tree oil to prevent infections and deep conditioning agents that will keep your locks hydrated all day.
BeautyKLove’s shampoo scrub may provide an easy remedy for oily scalp. This DIY recipe features baking soda to remove build-up. At the same time, apple cider vinegar closes the cuticle and prevents frizz by closing hair cuticles – leaving your locks smoother and less susceptible to frizz than before!
This natural hair mask is an excellent solution for anyone with damaged locks, thanks to the combination of avocado (known for its nourishing properties), coconut oil, and essential oils such as thyme for stimulating growth, rosemary for decreasing protein loss, and lavender to soothe your scalp. Furthermore, Boucleme contributes back to its local community by sourcing its ingredients from there.
How to Protect Your Hair from Damage
Establishing an effective natural hair routine is critical to keeping your locks healthy. Regular deep conditioning treatments help hydrate dry, brittle strands and replenish their essential natural oils that may have been stripped from them during shampooing.
Ensure not to overwash your strands, which may lead to product buildup. Instead, wash once or twice weekly using lukewarm water for best results.
Limit heat exposure, as overexposure can lead to brittleness in your hair using protective styles like braids, bantu knots, puffs, or wash-and-go styles.
No matter the situation, natural products offer solutions. From shampoo that helps combat dandruff to conditioner that will bring moisture back into your strands and even hair masks that repair damage – there is something suitable for everyone in your search for natural beauty solutions! By sticking to your routine, you can achieve your best look ever while maintaining health – good luck and congratulations on achieving an authentic natural style!
Tips for Natural Hair Styling
Two-strand twists are one of the most sought-after natural hairstyles, as they’re straightforward and leave your locks looking lush and healthy.
There are numerous approaches to accomplish this look, but here are a few suggestions:
Tip 1: Do not overwash your hair; this can strip it of its natural oils and lead to product build-up. Instead, try washing with lukewarm water once weekly for best results.
When washing your hair, always opt for a high-quality shampoo free from sulfates, mineral oil, and parabens as these ingredients can harm the scalp and hair follicles. A natural hair shampoo will hydrate and protect locks while clearing away dirt or oils that build up from daily activities – this will also help to ensure healthier locks! To further ensure healthy locks, it is also essential to utilize deep conditioner after each wash session while limiting heat exposure, as these will all help foster good hair habits.
Maintaining Hair Health: Do’s and Don’ts
As someone new to natural haircare, it may take time to master proper care of your strands. From overwashing to overusing products, common errors could harm the condition of your natural curls.
As always, we’re here to help you avoid these errors and foster vibrant, beautiful locks with healthy locks that look vibrant. From switching up shampoos and scheduling regular haircuts, here are a few tips for maintaining natural beauty.
Be sure to use a wide-tooth comb when detangling, and keep strands hydrated with oil, spritzes, and DIY packs. Furthermore, try to stick to a routine of trimming ends at least every eight weeks, keeping strands strong and preventing split ends from becoming knotted up. Furthermore, avoid products containing sulfates and phosphates, which can strip your scalp of its natural oils and lead to dry, itchy locks; instead, opt for organic products with natural ingredients.
Case Study: Success Stories with Natural Hair Care
While plenty of advice may be available on natural haircare, not all approaches work equally. What may work for one person may not necessarily work for you; therefore, it is crucial that you experiment and find what best fits you and your specific routine.

How do you know if you have healthy hair?
New Post has been published on https://hazirbilgi.com/how-do-you-know-if-you-have-healthy-hair/
How do you know if you have healthy hair?
Our hair can withstand a tension of 3.5 ounces and grow up to 30% when wet. However, only healthy hair has such superpowers. Damaged hair strands break quite easily. You may not be able to detect the condition of your hair at first glance. But there are simple ways to control it and take action to restore it…
1. Follicle test
To see if your hair is overall healthy and whether hair loss is anything to worry about, you need to check the roots first. So how is this done?
Take a strand of your hair from the root.
Examine the follicle (hair root). The normal root end of a hair strand should be in the form of a bulb. If you see this, your hair is healthy. If the root is not in the form of a bulb, your hair is weak and needs care.
How to prevent hair loss?
Follow the Mediterranean diet . A study revealed that it reduces the risk of hair loss. This diet consists of foods such as vegetables, fruits, nuts, fish, and whole grains. Try to avoid foods like red meat, sweet drinks, and processed foods. It has many benefits not only for healthy hair, but also for supporting your blood sugar levels, protecting your brain function and heart health.
Avoid tight hairstyles such as ponytails, especially while you sleep, as they can cause hair loss.
Take special vitamins and minerals.
2. Sink test
This measures how porous your hair is. Healthy hair is quite strong, while damaged hair quickly absorbs the liquid. Remember that genetics is a contributing factor to how porous your hair is, as well as heat damage and product damage over time. To find out if your hair is healthy and get the best results from this test, make sure your hair is clean. To perform the test, do these:
Take a clean strand of hair that you just shampooed.
Drop your strand of hair into a glass of water. Completely healthy strands will float, relatively healthy ones will go down a bit, and damaged ones will sink completely.
How to treat high pore hair?
Apply various conditioners and oils. They help seal in the moisture your hair has absorbed. Applying these oils to your hair is a great way to keep it healthy, especially if you have dull, dry and damaged hair. It can make it look soft, healthy and beautiful.
Use conditioner after each wash.
Apply apple cider vinegar and aloe vera to your hair to adjust the pH balance.
3. Tensile test
This test aims to check the elasticity of your hair. It basically measures how severe your hair loss is. If you are going to the doctor and you decide to have the test done by a professional, they will take small areas of your hair (about 40 strands) from different parts of your head. If 6+ hairs are shed, it means there is active hair loss. The test will give results on whether you have signs of brittle hair loss.
Break off a strand of hair.
Gently pull on both ends. If it stretches and bounces back when you let go, it’s healthy. If it breaks easily, it’s pretty weak.
How do you restore your hair elasticity?
Let it dry on its own. Using heat damages the elasticity of the hair.
Massage your hair with jojoba oil. Jojoba oil can be used as a moisturizer and you can even add it to your conditioner to prevent your hair from drying out and breaking. It also works to prevent dandruff formation. It contains many vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C and B vitamins that are great for nourishing your hair. It can even prevent hair loss and keep your hair thick. It saturates the skin with moisture: Click to read the Jojoba oil article…
Try applying some honey to your strands. It is a great natural conditioner and will retain moisture in your hair. Honey is very effective for your hair. One study showed that it can even promote hair growth, with its ability to restore cells in your scalp. If you like shiny hair, it can also provide a natural shine as a moisturizer. So if you have dull hair, honey is a natural solution to this problem. Honey also contains protein, which is important for protecting your hair against breakage.
4. Porosity test
With this test, you can determine the condition of the cuticle of your hair and understand whether it is damaged. What you need to do…
Pinch a strand of hair between your index and middle fingers.
Swipe from top to root between your fingers. If you feel rough and untidy, your hair is damaged. If you’re feeling smooth, it’s healthy.
How to treat damaged hair?
Try a keratin treatment. Makes hair smooth, removes frizz and makes hair shine.
Avoid transactions. Limit dyeing, perming, and blow-drying.
Try rinsing your hair with rice water. Studies have proven that rice water stays in the hair for a while and protects the hair from damage. It also shows that it can be good to keep your hair color longer.

A Guide to Choosing the Right Shampoo
Tumblr media
1. Understand Your Hair Type
The first step in finding the perfect shampoo is to understand your hair type. Knowing whether your hair is oily, dry, normal, curly, or color-treated can narrow down your options and guide you to the best ingredients and formulas.
Oily Hair: If your scalp tends to get greasy quickly, look for shampoos labeled as "clarifying" or "oil control." These formulas usually contain ingredients like tea tree oil, salicylic acid, or lemon extracts to help cleanse excess oil without drying out your scalp.
Dry Hair: For dry hair, opt for moisturizing or hydrating shampoos with ingredients like aloe vera, coconut oil, shea butter, or glycerin. These will help add moisture and reduce frizz, leaving your hair feeling softer and more manageable.
Curly or Coarse Hair: Curls often need extra moisture to stay bouncy and defined. Shampoos labeled "moisturizing," "nourishing," or "curl-enhancing" often contain ingredients like argan oil, jojoba oil, or proteins to strengthen curls and prevent breakage.
Color-Treated Hair: If you dye your hair, look for shampoos specifically designed for color-treated hair. These formulas are typically sulfate-free and have ingredients that help preserve color, like UV protectants or antioxidants.
Fine or Thin Hair: Lightweight, volumizing shampoos are ideal for fine or thin hair. Ingredients like biotin, rice protein, or keratin help to add volume without weighing down your hair, making it look fuller.
2. Know Your Scalp Needs
Your scalp’s health is just as important as your hair’s condition. Some people experience dandruff, sensitivity, or itchiness, which requires special attention.
Dandruff or Flaky Scalp: For dandruff, look for shampoos with ingredients like zinc pyrithione, salicylic acid, or ketoconazole, which help combat the fungi that cause dandruff. Avoid ingredients like sulfates and alcohols, as these can worsen dryness.
Sensitive Scalp: If you have a sensitive or easily irritated scalp, avoid products with harsh chemicals and fragrances. Choose a gentle, hypoallergenic, or sulfate-free shampoo with soothing ingredients like chamomile, aloe vera, or oat extract.
Itchy or Oily Scalp: If you experience oil buildup with itching, try a clarifying shampoo once a week to remove buildup. Look for ingredients like tea tree oil or peppermint, which have antimicrobial properties and a cooling effect to relieve itchiness.
3. Check the Ingredients List
Certain ingredients in shampoo are best avoided if you want to maintain the health of your hair and scalp. Here’s a quick rundown:
Sulfates: These are cleansing agents that create lather but can strip your hair of natural oils, making it dry and frizzy. Sulfate-free shampoos are milder and ideal for sensitive scalps, dry, curly, or color-treated hair.
Silicones: Although silicones add shine and smoothness, they can build up over time, making hair feel heavy and greasy. Use silicone-free options if you have fine hair or prefer a lighter feel.
Parabens: Parabens are preservatives used to extend shelf life. They have potential health risks, so many people prefer to use paraben-free shampoos.
Fragrances and Dyes: Artificial fragrances and dyes can irritate sensitive scalps and cause allergic reactions. Choose fragrance-free or naturally scented shampoos if you’re sensitive to these additives.
4. Consider Environmental Factors
Your environment can also influence the type of shampoo you need. For instance:
Hard Water: If you live in an area with hard water, look for a shampoo with chelating agents that can help remove mineral buildup. Chelating shampoos can help keep your hair from becoming dull and lifeless.
Humidity and Dry Weather: Humidity can lead to frizz, so look for anti-frizz shampoos with hydrating ingredients if you live in a humid climate. In dry weather, opt for moisturizing shampoos to prevent your hair from becoming too brittle.
5. Read Reviews and Patch Test
When trying a new shampoo, it’s always wise to read reviews from people with similar hair types and concerns. Additionally, do a patch test to check for any allergies or irritations. Apply a small amount of shampoo on the inside of your wrist or behind your ear and wait 24 hours to see if there’s a reaction.
6. Balance Your Routine
Finding the right shampoo is essential, but remember that a healthy hair routine doesn’t stop there. Avoid over-washing your hair, as this can strip it of natural oils. You can also benefit from adding a conditioner, a leave-in treatment, or a hair mask, depending on your hair’s needs.
Conclusion
Choosing the right shampoo involves understanding your hair and scalp type, reading ingredient labels, and balancing your routine with complementary products. A well-selected shampoo can make a significant difference in the health and appearance of your hair, so take the time to find one that’s perfectly tailored to your needs.

Embrace the Power of Natural Hair Care for Women: Tips and Products for Beautiful, Healthy Hair
Maintaining healthy hair doesn’t have to mean relying on chemicals or artificial treatments. For women, especially those with black hair, embracing a natural hair care routine offers numerous benefits, from improved texture and shine to stronger and more resilient hair. Natural hair care for women is not only about enhancing beauty but also about supporting hair health from the roots to the ends. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your existing routine, here are essential tips to keep your natural hair looking and feeling fantastic.
Understanding the Importance of Natural Hair Care for Black Hair
Natural hair care for black hair often requires a unique approach due to the specific texture and structure of the hair. Black hair tends to be more porous and prone to dryness, making it essential to focus on deep hydration and gentle handling. By choosing natural ingredients and gentle treatments, you can minimize the damage caused by chemicals and heat, ultimately preserving the natural beauty of your hair.
Choose Products with Natural Ingredients
When building a hair care routine, start with products that are specifically formulated for natural hair care for women. Look for shampoos, conditioners, and styling products free from sulfates, parabens, and synthetic fragrances, as these can be harsh on delicate hair. Brands like Blair Botanicals offer options rich in botanical ingredients that can nourish and moisturize without stripping away essential oils. Ingredients like shea butter, aloe vera, coconut oil, and jojoba oil work wonders to keep black hair hydrated and manageable.
Deep Conditioning Is Essential
Deep conditioning is a vital part of natural hair care for black hair. Once a week, treat your hair to a nourishing deep conditioning session. Look for conditioners infused with natural oils and proteins, which help restore moisture, strengthen hair strands, and improve elasticity. Deep conditioning can also protect hair from breakage and keep it soft, which is especially beneficial if you style your hair frequently.
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!
Moisture is the cornerstone of natural hair care for women, especially for those with black hair. Using leave-in conditioners and light oils like argan or olive oil can lock in moisture without weighing hair down. It’s also helpful to use a moisturizing spray or cream daily to prevent dryness, especially if you live in a dry climate. Keep in mind that using water-based products will add hydration, while oils seal in the moisture for lasting softness and shine.
Avoid Heat Styling as Much as Possible
Heat styling tools can severely damage natural hair by weakening the hair structure and making it prone to breakage. For natural hair care, try to limit the use of flat irons, curling wands, and blow dryers. If you must use them, consider applying a heat protectant spray to minimize the damage. Embracing natural hairstyles such as twists, braids, and buns can help preserve the health of your hair without exposing it to high temperatures.

Protect Your Hair at Night
Nighttime protection is an often-overlooked aspect of natural hair care for black hair. Using a silk or satin scarf or pillowcase can reduce friction that causes breakage and frizz. These materials allow your hair to glide smoothly as you sleep, which keeps it looking fresh and prevents tangling. You can also try the "pineapple" method, where you loosely gather your hair on top of your head, to maintain curls and protect your hairstyle overnight.

Embracing the Benefits of Natural Shampoo and Conditioner
In the journey to maintain vibrant, healthy hair, the products we use play a central role. Over the years, the beauty industry has seen a rise in natural, eco-friendly alternatives that promise the same (or better) results without compromising on health or sustainability. Among these, natural shampoo and conditioner have become popular choices for those looking to nourish their hair without the harshness of synthetic ingredients. But what makes these products stand out, and why are so many people making the switch?
Tumblr media
The Power of Plant-Based Ingredients
Pure Earths Natural shampoos and conditioners harness the power of plant-based ingredients, unlike traditional hair care products laden with chemicals. These formulations often include herbal extracts, essential oils, and naturally-derived vitamins and minerals that support hair health. For example, ingredients like aloe vera, chamomile, and lavender not only cleanse and condition the hair but also provide soothing benefits for the scalp. Coconut oil, a common ingredient in natural hair care, is renowned for its deep moisturizing properties that leave hair soft and manageable. The lack of synthetic chemicals, such as sulfates and parabens, means these natural options are gentler on both the scalp and hair.
Free from Harmful Chemicals
One of the primary reasons people choose natural shampoo and conditioner is to avoid harsh chemicals that can damage hair and lead to scalp issues. Many commercial hair products contain sulfates, which create a lathering effect but strip the hair of natural oils. Parabens, another common additive, are used as preservatives but have been linked to potential health concerns. Switching to natural hair products can reduce the risk of allergic reactions, dryness, and long-term hair damage. Natural shampoos and conditioners rely on mild, biodegradable ingredients, making them safer choices for you and the environment.
Tumblr media
Enhanced Scalp Health
Our scalp is often the first to feel the effects of chemicals in hair care products. Many people experience issues like dandruff, itching, and dryness after prolonged use of synthetic shampoos. Natural shampoos, on the other hand, nourish and hydrate the scalp with gentle ingredients that help maintain the skin’s natural balance. Ingredients like tea tree oil and eucalyptus not only help control oil production but also have antimicrobial properties, which can alleviate conditions like dandruff. A healthy scalp leads to healthier hair, so using natural shampoo and conditioner can be a game-changer in improving overall hair wellness.
Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Choice
Switching to natural shampoo and conditioner isn’t just good for your hair – it’s also beneficial for the planet. Many natural hair care brands prioritize sustainability in both ingredients and packaging. Plant-based ingredients are often sourced responsibly, and packaging is typically designed to be recyclable or biodegradable. Additionally, these products are frequently cruelty-free, with no animal testing involved. Making the switch to natural hair care allows you to care for your hair while reducing your ecological footprint, aligning personal beauty routines with a broader commitment to environmental responsibility.
Tumblr media
Better for All Hair Types
Natural shampoos and conditioners are formulated to cater to diverse hair types. Whether you have curly, straight, oily, or dry hair, there’s a natural product designed with specific needs in mind. Ingredients like jojoba oil and argan oil are ideal for frizz control, while ingredients like rosemary oil can help with fine or thinning hair. For those with sensitive skin or specific hair needs, natural products offer customized solutions without the side effects often caused by harsh chemicals.
Making the Switch to Natural Hair Care
Transitioning to natural shampoo and conditioner can bring noticeable changes in hair texture, scalp comfort, and shine. While there may be an adjustment period where your hair acclimates to the lack of synthetic additives, the long-term benefits make the change worthwhile. As more people seek healthier, eco-friendly beauty routines, natural hair care products are leading the way, offering a gentler, more sustainable approach to maintaining beautiful, resilient hair.

The Essential Guide to Black Hair Care Products: Nourish, Protect, and Style
Tumblr media
When it comes to hair care, black hair is a world of its own, rich in texture and versatility. Whether you're rocking luscious curls, intricate braids, or a classic fade, the right products can make all the difference in maintaining healthy, vibrant hair. In this guide, we'll explore the best Black hair care products to help you achieve your hair goals while keeping it healthy and stylish.
Understanding Black Hair
Before diving into the products, let’s get a clearer picture of what makes black hair unique.
1. Texture Matters
Black hair can vary greatly in texture—from tightly coiled kinks to loose waves. This diversity affects how your hair behaves, how it responds to products, and how you should care for it.
2. Moisture is Key
One of the most significant challenges with black hair is dryness. The natural oils produced by your scalp have a harder time traveling down the twists and turns of each strand. This is why keeping your hair moisturized is crucial for its health.
3. Vulnerability to Damage
Due to its unique structure, black hair is often more susceptible to breakage and damage. That’s why using the right products and maintaining a proper hair care routine is essential for promoting growth and maintaining overall hair health.
The Must-Have Black Hair Care Products
1. Moisturizing Shampoo
A good shampoo sets the stage for healthy hair. Look for a moisturizing shampoo that's sulfate-free. Sulfates can strip natural oils from your hair, leaving it dry and brittle.
Key Ingredients: Opt for products containing shea butter, coconut oil, or aloe vera, as these ingredients provide hydration and nourishment.
2. Conditioner
After shampooing, a rich conditioner is a non-negotiable step. It helps detangle hair, add moisture, and reduce frizz.
Deep Conditioners: Incorporate a deep conditioner into your routine at least once a week. These products penetrate deeper into the hair shaft for more intensive moisture.
3. Leave-In Conditioner
A leave-in conditioner is like a shield for your hair. It provides extra moisture throughout the day and helps with styling.
How to Use: Apply it to damp hair after washing. It’s perfect for locking in hydration and making detangling a breeze.
4. Hair Oils
Hair oils are game-changers for maintaining shine and softness. They can also help seal in moisture, which is especially crucial for black hair.
Popular Oils: Consider using jojoba oil, argan oil, or castor oil. Each has unique properties that benefit your hair in different ways.
5. Styling Creams and Gels
When it comes to styling, the right cream or gel can help you achieve your desired look without the crunchiness that some products leave behind.
Curl Creams: Ideal for those with natural curls, curl creams define and enhance your curls while keeping them soft and manageable.
Styling Gels: For more hold, consider a gel that doesn’t flake. Look for alcohol-free options to prevent dryness.
6. Hair Masks
Hair masks are your secret weapon for intense hydration. They are typically used once a week or bi-weekly and provide a concentrated dose of nutrients.
DIY Options: You can create your own masks using natural ingredients like avocado, honey, or yogurt, which nourish and moisturize your hair.
7. Heat Protectants
If you use heat styling tools, a heat protectant is essential. This product creates a barrier between your hair and the heat, preventing damage.
Tip: Always apply a heat protectant before using blow dryers, curling irons, or flat irons to keep your hair safe.
8. Scalp Treatments
A healthy scalp is crucial for healthy hair growth. Consider using a scalp treatment or exfoliator to remove buildup and nourish the scalp.
Key Ingredients: Look for products containing tea tree oil or peppermint, which can soothe irritation and promote circulation.
Creating Your Hair Care Routine
Now that you know the must-have products, how do you incorporate them into a routine that works for you?
Step 1: Cleansing
Start with a moisturizing shampoo, followed by a rich conditioner. Remember to rinse thoroughly to avoid product buildup.
Step 2: Deep Conditioning
Once a week, treat your hair to a deep conditioning treatment. This is your chance to give your hair the extra love it deserves.
Step 3: Moisturizing and Styling
After washing, apply a leave-in conditioner followed by a styling product that suits your hair type. This will help define your look while keeping your hair nourished.
Step 4: Weekly Mask and Scalp Treatment
Incorporate a hair mask into your routine weekly. Additionally, consider a scalp treatment every couple of weeks to keep your scalp healthy.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Even with the right products, you can still fall into some traps. Here are a few common mistakes to steer clear of:
Over-Washing: Washing your hair too frequently can strip away natural oils. Aim to wash your hair 1-2 times a week.
Neglecting Your Scalp: A healthy scalp equals healthy hair. Don’t forget to care for your scalp as part of your routine.
Ignoring Product Ingredients: Not all products are created equal. Always read labels and avoid harsh chemicals that can damage your hair.
youtube
Final Thoughts: Embrace Your Crown
Black hair is not just a style; it's a statement, a culture, and a part of who you are. By using the right products and maintaining a proper care routine, you can embrace the beauty of your natural hair. It’s about more than just looking good; it’s about feeling confident and empowered in your own skin.

How to Choose the Best Curly Shampoo for Your Hair Type
Choosing the best curly shampoo for your hair type can make a world of difference in how your curls look and feel. Not all curly shampoos are created equal, and finding the right one depends on understanding your specific curl type and its needs. For tighter curls or coils, a deeply moisturizing curly shampoo that contains ingredients like shea butter or coconut oil is ideal, as it provides the necessary hydration to prevent breakage. On the other hand, looser curls may benefit from a lightweight, clarifying shampoo that won’t weigh the hair down.
Ingredients play a significant role in how effective a curly shampoo is for different curl patterns. Sulfate-free formulas are generally preferred for all curly hair types, as they cleanse without stripping essential oils. Look for curly shampoos that include ingredients like aloe vera, argan oil, or jojoba oil to add moisture and shine. If your curls are prone to frizz, seek out a shampoo with anti-frizz properties, such as one that contains glycerin or silk proteins, which help to smooth and define curls.
Finding the best curly shampoo is all about understanding your hair’s unique needs. Whether you have loose waves or tight coils, selecting a product that hydrates, defines, and protects your curls is key to achieving a healthy, vibrant look. With the right curly shampoo, your curls will feel softer, more manageable, and full of bounce, allowing you to embrace your natural texture confidently.

Hair loss is a common concern for many individuals, impacting both men and women of all ages. While there are various over-the-counter treatments and medical interventions available, some people may prefer to explore natural and alternative home remedies to help prevent hair loss. Here are some effective alternative remedies that can be incorporated into your daily routine:
Essential Oils:
Essential oils such as rosemary, lavender, peppermint, and cedarwood have been shown to promote hair growth and reduce hair loss. These oils can be diluted with a carrier oil such as coconut or jojoba oil and applied to the scalp. Massaging the oil blend into the scalp can help improve blood circulation and nourish the hair follicles.
Aloe Vera:
Aloe vera is known for its soothing and moisturizing properties, but it also contains enzymes that promote hair growth. Applying fresh aloe vera gel directly to the scalp can help reduce scalp inflammation, strengthen hair follicles, and stimulate hair growth.
Onion Juice:
Onion juice is rich in sulfur, which can improve blood circulation, reduce inflammation, and promote hair regrowth. Extract the juice from onions and apply it to the scalp for 15-30 minutes before washing it off with a mild shampoo.
Coconut Milk:
Coconut milk is a rich source of nutrients such as vitamins and minerals that nourish the hair and scalp. Massaging coconut milk into the scalp and leaving it on for a few hours before rinsing can help strengthen hair and prevent breakage.
Green Tea:
Green tea contains antioxidants that can promote hair growth and protect the scalp from damage. Prepare green tea and allow it to cool before applying it to the scalp and hair. Leave it on for an hour before rinsing with water.
Hibiscus:
Hibiscus flowers are known for their hair-strengthening properties. Create a paste using hibiscus flowers and apply it to the scalp. Leave it on for 30-45 minutes before washing it off with a mild shampoo.
Fenugreek Seeds:
Fenugreek seeds are rich in protein and nicotinic acid, which can help strengthen hair follicles and promote hair growth. Soak fenugreek seeds in water overnight, grind them into a paste, and apply it to the scalp. Leave it on for 30 minutes before rinsing.
Indian Gooseberry (Amla):
Indian gooseberry, also known as amla, is a rich source of vitamin C and antioxidants that can help nourish the scalp and stimulate hair growth. Make a paste with amla powder and water, apply it to the scalp, and leave it on for 30 minutes before rinsing.
Biotin-rich Foods:
Biotin is a B vitamin that is essential for hair growth. Include biotin-rich foods in your diet such as eggs, nuts, seeds, and leafy greens to support healthy hair growth from within.
Scalp Massage:
Regular scalp massages can help improve blood circulation to the hair follicles, promoting hair growth and reducing hair loss. Use gentle circular motions to massage the scalp with your fingertips or a scalp massager for a few minutes each day.
It's important to remember that natural remedies may not work for everyone, and results can vary from person to person. If you are experiencing significant or persistent hair loss, it is recommended to consult a healthcare provider or a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. Additionally, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, managing stress, and avoiding harsh chemicals and heat styling can also contribute to better hair health and reduced hair loss over time.
Implementing these alternative home remedies into your hair care routine can help support healthy hair growth and potentially reduce hair loss. Be patient and consistent with your chosen remedies, and remember that achieving results may take time.

Dry Hair care routine
Dry Hair Care Routine: Tips and Best Practices for Healthier Locks
Having dry hair can be frustrating and challenging to manage. Dry hair tends to look dull, feel rough, and be prone to breakage, split ends, and frizz. Whether due to environmental factors, overuse of styling tools, or lack of proper hydration, dry hair needs special attention and care.
In this blog post, we will outline an effective dry hair care routine and share tips to keep your hair moisturized, shiny, and healthy.
Understanding Dry Hair: What Causes It?
Before diving into the care routine, it's essential to understand why your hair may be dry. Here are some common causes:
Over-washing: Washing your hair too frequently strips it of its natural oils.
Heat styling: Excessive use of flat irons, curling irons, and blow dryers can cause moisture loss.
Harsh products: Shampoos or treatments with sulfates and alcohol can dry out hair.
Environmental exposure: Sun, wind, and pollution can sap moisture from your hair.
Lack of nutrients: A diet lacking essential vitamins and minerals can contribute to dry hair.
By identifying the root cause, you can take steps to improve your hair's health.
Step-by-Step Dry Hair Care Routine
1. Gentle Cleansing with Moisturizing Shampoo
Dry hair requires a shampoo that gently cleanses without stripping away the natural oils. Look for products labeled "sulfate-free" and "moisturizing". Sulfates, often found in regular shampoos, can remove oils from your scalp, leaving your hair even drier. Instead, choose shampoos that include hydrating ingredients such as:
Argan oil
Coconut oil
Shea butter
Pro Tip: Wash your hair only 2-3 times a week to allow natural oils to nourish your hair. Avoid using hot water as it can further dehydrate the scalp and hair. Opt for lukewarm water instead.
2. Condition Deeply
Conditioner is essential for dry hair. After shampooing, always follow with a moisturizing conditioner. Pay attention to the ingredients list and look for hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, glycerin, or jojoba oil. These ingredients lock in moisture and leave hair feeling softer and smoother.
For extra hydration, use a deep conditioner or hair mask once a week. Hair masks are intensive treatments that replenish lost moisture and repair damage. Apply a mask that contains keratin or silk proteins to strengthen hair and prevent breakage.
Pro Tip: Leave your conditioner or mask on for at least 5-10 minutes, giving the ingredients time to penetrate the hair shaft fully.
3. Limit Heat Styling
One of the biggest culprits of dry hair is heat styling. The intense heat from straighteners, curling irons, and blow dryers can strip hair of its moisture, leading to dry, brittle strands. If you must use heat tools, make sure to:
Use them on low or medium heat.
Apply a heat protectant spray before styling to shield hair from damage.
Air drying your hair as often as possible is the best option. If you need to speed up drying, use the cool setting on your blow dryer.
4. Seal in Moisture with Oils and Serums
After washing and conditioning, it's important to lock in the moisture with an oil or serum. These products form a barrier on your hair to prevent moisture loss and add shine.
Some great options for dry hair include:
Argan oil: Rich in fatty acids and vitamin E, it helps nourish and protect.
Coconut oil: A lightweight oil that penetrates the hair shaft for deep hydration.
Jojoba oil: Mimics the scalp's natural oils, making it ideal for dry hair.
Apply a few drops to your palms, rub together, and gently run through damp or dry hair, focusing on the ends.
5. Trim Regularly
Dry hair is prone to split ends, which can travel up the hair shaft and lead to breakage. Regular trims, approximately every 6-8 weeks, help maintain your hair's health and prevent further damage.
If you're hesitant about cutting length, ask your stylist for a dusting—a technique where only the very ends are trimmed to remove damage without sacrificing length.
6. Hydrate from Within
While external treatments can do wonders for your hair, don’t forget that diet and hydration play a significant role in hair health. Ensure you drink plenty of water and eat foods rich in:
Omega-3 fatty acids (found in fish like salmon, walnuts, and flaxseeds)
Vitamin E (found in almonds, spinach, and avocados)
Biotin (found in eggs, nuts, and whole grains)
These nutrients help improve hair strength and shine from the inside out.
7. Protect from Environmental Stressors
The environment can wreak havoc on dry hair, especially in extreme weather. To protect your hair:
Wear a hat or use a UV protection spray when out in the sun.
In cold weather, shield your hair from harsh winds by wearing a scarf or hat.
Additionally, chlorine and saltwater can be particularly drying. Before swimming, apply a leave-in conditioner or oil to coat and protect your hair from these elements.
8. Nighttime Care
At night, use a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction, which can cause breakage and frizz. You can also tie your hair in a loose braid or bun to prevent tangling and moisture loss.
For an added boost, apply a leave-in conditioner or a few drops of oil before bed for overnight hydration.
Conclusion
Caring for dry hair doesn’t have to be complicated, but it does require consistency and the right products. By incorporating gentle cleansing, deep conditioning, protective styling, and nourishing treatments into your routine, you can transform dry, lifeless hair into soft, shiny, and healthy locks. Remember, the key is to hydrate, protect, and nourish from both the outside and inside.
Follow these tips, and soon enough, you'll notice a significant improvement in your hair's texture and overall health. For more such tips visit: jatincosmetics.com to Buy beauty products in Kurukshetra

Embrace the Power of Nature: Organic Hair Care for Natural Beauty
Naturalism in hair care means treatments and products that go hand in hand not only with the goodness of your hair but also with that of the planet. The more eco-conscious consumers there are, the more demand there is for organic hair products for curly hair and plant-based hair products than ever. Each product of organic hair reflects good fashion in taking care of one's hair without having to give into low-quality or insensitive ecosystem concerns. Be it curly hair, natural hair, or any other kind of transition you want to turn into a more botanical hair care routine, there are enough options out there that are not going to make you sacrifice the health of your hair and planet Earth.
Why Use Organic Hair Products for Curly Hair?
Curly hair does require special attention since it comes along with special needs. Unlike straight hair, curly hair tends to be dry because natural scalp oils barely struggle up and down through coils and curls. These characteristics of curly hair may lead to frizz, dryness, and breakage if not taken proper care of. Organic hair products made for curly hair nourish and moisturize while protecting the hair from none of the potentially harsh ingredients in most commercially prepared hair products. Manufacture such products that produce items incorporating shea butter, coconut oil, and aloe vera, which define curls by minimizing frizz and increasing shine.
Natural Hair Care: Love Your Natural Texture
Hair care for natural hair is about understanding the peculiarity of hair texture and finding products that complement such texture. The thing is natural hair, which runs in waves and coils, does great with just one very important ingredient-moisture-plus gentle and caring treatment. This is where organic and botanical hair care products have come into play, providing hydration, nourishment, and protection-those things so needed to keep natural hair healthy and alive.
That is what makes hair so beautiful in its natural state; it's versatile. Sometimes, though, maintaining it can be demanding with traditional hair care products that house all harsh chemicals. Hair needs tender care products for them to be effective to make it look and feel its best. Natural ingredient-based products—from jojoba oil, argan oil, and flaxseed oil—are preoccupied with the locking of moisture, encouraging hair growth, and developing natural shine.
These will make all the difference in natural hair, especially with plant-based shampoos and conditioners. These help in cleaning your scalp and your hair without stripping the hair of the natural oils; hence, your hair is healthy and moisturized. A well-moisturized scalp is one sure way to avoid dryness, flaking, and breakage of your hair, which natural-haired people are often prone to.
Benefits with Plant-Based Hair Products
In the last few years, plant-based hair products have become increasingly popular due to their friendly ingredients and sustainability in practice. In contrast to common hair care products, whose basic formation is based on synthetic chemicals and artificial fragrances, the manufacturing of plant-based products is assisted by nature: herbs, flowers, and essential oils. This can nourish one's hair as it needs to be and reduce the possibility of irritation and allergic reactions.
Creating a Natural Hair Care Routine
The most that can be gained from organic hair products meant for curly hair or, for that matter, any plant based hair product can only be reaped by implementing a daily regimen in the form of steps that will address the specific hair needs. Some such steps that could be considered include those under:
1. Cleansing: You shall need a mild sulfate-free shampoo; it will clean your scalp and hair, making sure that the stripping of hair with natural oils does not take place. It helps retain the natural moisture balance inside the hair, something quite necessary for curly hair and natural hair.
2. Conditioning: With this kind of natural hair, one has to deep condition. A conditioner made up of natural oils and butter may just detangle and nourish your hair by just sitting for a number of minutes to get into the shaft.
3. Moisturizing: Immediately after washing, apply a leave-in conditioner or moisturizer that matches your hair type. Stock up with products containing hydrating ingredients like aloe vera, honey, and glycerin to help lock the moisture in and, hence, define curls.
Conclusion With A Simple Planet plant based hair products, one will be able to take care of their hair while being conscious about taking care of the environment. These plant-based natural ingredients, combined with shea butter and coconut oil, give curls or natural hair the moisturizing, nourishment, and protection it deserves. Free from harsh chemicals, these products help enhance the natural texture and beauty of your hair toward the greener approach for hair care. You can have healthy hair, alive with color, simply by using these earth-friendly products in your hair care. It need not be at the planet's expense.
