also Thoughts below the cut (drew this because of thoughts about his scars. so)

scar on his throat is because he is frankenstein’s creature. to me. the aim was something like how a lot of depictions of the creature have his head sewn on, so instead of that fox gets this scar. someone tried to slit his throat and he survived. one day i will properly organise my thoughts about fox / frankenstein’s creature, that day is not today. however. something something constructed for a purpose / certain image, does not fulfil that. viewed as monstrous / flawed and rejected by that which created you (you were created for). idk. i have thoughts

scar on his face. he took a gun to a knife fight and still got a scar (you should see the other guy. or something). anyway ! identity / personal appearance as defined by violence or something. idk

i think he’d have lots of little scars on his hands / knuckles from play fighting (or maybe just fighting) with his batch etc on kamino

Drawn in Photoshop, animated in Spine Pro. The final art piece I made for my bachelor thesis on GIF as a medium for art.

I've been researching digital art in the context of modern folk art, outside institutional or commercial art. I analysed almost 500 art GIFs across Tumblr, Artstation and GIPHY.

There's almost no academic research on art GIFs, so it was important to me to examine and document it. I also examined the optimisation of GIFs and how it relates to web sustainability.

And because the bachelor program was focused on art practice, I then created my own art GIFs, and it seemed only right that I should do it through fanart of something I've been really into lately. Thanks @samreich and the rest of Dropout for giving me some unhinged content as inspiration. Watch 'Game Changer' everyone, it's great.

The Angelus but make it star wars (the painting this is based on is below the cut + some Thoughts)

my version became a lot redder than the original but i actually really like it. i also changed the pose slightly because i really couldn’t justify in my head having obi-wan praying in a very christian manner. it just wasn’t working for me.

tbh i’m just slightly obsessed with this painting and wanted to have a go at emulating elements of it (the closeness and devotion of the figures in it, as well as the lighting). i was going for similar vibes, you know? though, i know it doesn’t make much sense in terms of star wars (we don’t really see religion depicted, and christianity presumably doesn’t exist), but i like the painting. in my head this was also on a battlefield of some kind, or in the aftermath of a battle, so the context could be remembering fallen troops, or hoping (perhaps desperately) for support during a battle. i also think there’s some kind of implications for taking a painting which, at least to my understanding, depicts a daily activity/life (farming/prayer) and instead placing it in the context of war. not quite sure what the implications are but you know. anyway this was not meant to become a paragraph but i had Thoughts.

A very experimental art for me, i want to try out some new style. ihnmaims radio drama got me in a chokehold and possessed me to draw this.

- the binary translates as "HATEHATE" on repeat.

- the pair of punchcode tapes representing AM's talkfield, are from the original short story. The left one is "I THINK, THEREFORE I AM" and the right is "COGITO ERGO SUM".
