The band started life in Castleford, Yorkshire, in 2012, as Allusondrugs. Then in November 2018 changed their name to Allusinlove. They are comprised of Andrey Pavlovic, Connor Fisher-Atack,  Jason Moules and  Jemal Beau Malki.

Allusinlove Announces Debut Record

One name change and hiatus later, Allusdrugs did return toward the end of 2018 under the new name, Allusinlove and now, they’re ready to unleash their debut record.

It’s going to be called ‘It’s OK To Talk’ which is set to be released on June 7th 2019 via Good Soldier Songs.

While 2019’s 2000trees Festival lineup was already announced in January, more bands have been added.

Joining the lineup are As It Is, Pulled Apart By Horses, A, Cleopatrick, Free Throw, Vukovi, Cancer Bats, Slingshot Dakota, The Dangerous Summer, and Le Butcherettes, to name a few. Check out the full lineup below.

Two Door Cinema Club – Talk

Véritable success story du label Kitsuné au début des années 2010, Two Door Cinema Club s’est depuis taillé une belle place au soleil de la pop à guitares. Après un troisième album raté (Gameshow, 2016) et avoir frôlé l’implosion, le trio revient gonflé à bloc avec un single au groove imparable, « Talk », annonciateur d’une année 2019 radieuse.

Joan As Police Woman – What a World

Quinze ans, ça se fête ! Joan Wasser (aka Joan As Police Woman) compte bien fêter l’événement, et pas qu’un peu : en plus d’une Joanthology à paraître le 24 mai (compilation trois CD qui reviendra sur les temps forts de sa carrière), la chanteuse partira en tournée dès le 30 du même mois. Parmi les nombreuses perles de sa discographie, deux inédits : une reprise du « Kiss » de Prince, mais également ce « What a World », étrange et superbe morceau d’une soul hantée par les fantômes de Portishead.

Cate Le Bon – Daylight Matters

Complice (entre autres) de l’excellent Tim Presley, Cate Le Bon publiera son nouvel album, Reward, le 24 mai prochain également. Difficile de contenir son excitation à l’écoute de « Daylight Matters », premier extrait à l’élégance folle qui invoque, forcément un peu, la force évocatrice de PJ Harvey

allusinlove – All My Love

Sulfureux quatuor de Yorkshire, allusinlove (anciennement allusindrugs, vous voyez le genre…) vient de publier un mini-album enregistré en live dans leur ville natale, Leeds. Rock 70’s décomplexé aux réminiscences californiennes certaines, « All My Love » et son refrain imparable risquent fort de vous rester en tête un petit moment.

Drahla – Stimulus for Living

Eux aussi nous viennent de Leeds : les trois membres de Drahla rajoutent un peu de glace dans le rock’n’roll, en reprenant à leur compte les vagues de blizzard de la new wave britannique des années 80. Post punk angoissé, angoissant et imprévisible, la musique de Drahla se caractérise par des pauses, des guitares triturées et des rythmiques qui prennent tout à contre-pied. On ne sait pas quand ça commence, ni vraiment quand ça s’arrête – et ça fait toujours du bien de se faire surprendre, de temps en temps.
