All Things Go Festival.

All things go, if you must get philosophical about it. All things must pass, in the words of the Buddhist maxim. This is none more true of the summer, as warmth and sun give way to these chilly weeks, these spookiest of seasons. But the end of summer needn't mean the end of the festival season, so @allthingsgofestival went and did just that: they hosted a music festival. Just this weekend. In both September and October. It was full of female performers. It was queer as hell. Totally bonkers. It scarcely seems possible. It defies belief.

Well, believe it, and believe it well: all things must pass, and all things will. You, I, sunlight, suffering, the online wastelands themselves. But before they do, why not enjoy a good thing while it's there and get the likes of @lanadelrey, @mothercain, @listentomaggie, and @alvvaysto in one space for a weekend of live music? The place being the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, and the place being @allthingsgofestival. We were there. It was the very best of things. And we have some highlights for you—such as this image, one of many, of Lana Del Rey lyrics that decorated backstage.

I need someone to tell me if I'm being problematic.

I spent. $300+ on a ticket to All Things Go festival specifically to see Chappell Roan.

And before I proceed let me say I 100% support putting your mental health first and I believe that famous people don't owe us shit just because we like the content we create and that she is a human being before she is a performer. I understand all of these things and I know she's been struggling with this.

At the same time, The event is tomorrow. All Things Go is tomorrow. My friend bought a ticket yesterday to go with me so that I didn't have to go alone otherwise I was going to sell my ticket. I can't do that now. I don't have time, and I'd be fucking my friend over. I spent more than I can afford to see her and now I don't have time to get that money back. I just feel like. Any time before LITERALLY THE DAY BEFORE would have been a better time to make this announcement. She had to have known sooner than today that she was going to pull out of the festival. Maybe that's me being entitled and selfish but I'm not going to lie I'm definitely a little bit hurt by this.

Wow, it looks like @allthingsgofestival they're pushing on Tumblr is White AF with very little dribbles of diversity. Like there's 73323998765 White folks but two or so PoC, both women (if we're lucky, maybe one is queer).

This is supposed to be some Tumblr university bs. The event can't be that White, can it? Even current batch of Republican president hopefuls has more diversity than this
