tbh my biggest gripes with totk is the fact that they did it beginner friendly new comer friendly... like i know this is gonna sound mean but genuinely I wish it didn't try to cater to new fans who want to get into tloz cause totk's story failed cause it needed to cater to new zelda fans

idc abt the lore getting rebooted, sure im going to miss the triforce being an essential piece of the story and lore, only to become the Hylian symbol and game's logo (which tbh is strange its like pokemon using the pokeball as their logo/symbol but pokeballs becoming obsolete in new pkmn games). But because it wanted to be new comer friendly botw's story and lore aspects are long gone and only to be referred to as easter eggs to ppl who played botw know. When characters talk about things that happened in botw as if it was a long time ago like the attack of the Calamity 100 years ago but things that actually happened a very long time ago make it sound like its pretty recent.

I don't like how the new sages just don't remember the champions at all. If you get the divine beast helms through sidequests and read their dialogue they speak in this way as it is their first time seeing it like?? Which is so strange cause totk would gladly reference Sidon and Link's companionship with a statue when trying to access Vah Ruta in BotW, but Mipha gets barely a mention from him? My biggest hopes before we got the title of the game was to let go of the champions, as in we don't need them to be back as they already have done what they need to do. But also I didn't want them to be completely gone from the game and only know them through easter eggs and references.

Like yeah TotK is a sequel to BotW but its more so "ok botw was a rough draft, THIS is the story we wanted to do" and it turns out to have inconsistencies. Zelda mentions the Calamity a few times, there are tombstones to placed around Hyrule commemorating people who lost their lives by the Calamity. But the Sheikah technology is completely gone, the towers that were there for eons are gone. I feel like the towers could've been an easy fix to explain why they are gone like "oh these chasms appeared and collapsed the towers, so now we built these new towers in replacement."

Like with Majora's Mask being separate but also a follow up to Ocarina of Time works because. While yes they are using the same characters and same game mechanics. They are using a whole different world/setting that is different from OoT. Where it excuses using the same characters and same game mechanics, cause it has a complete different story but is consistent on where it left off with Ocarina of Time. I honestly thought TotK was going to take place mostly in the skies than in the surface. Since they kept hyping people up with the teaser trailers and then we had SkSw HD being released. Like yeah it will be like some glorified version of SkSw

When I was reading the interviews Nintendo uploaded a few days before TotK's release and saw Fujibayashi say ,"We put in some effort to make sure that it feels comfortable for both first-time players and those with experience of the previous game." In the back of my mind I questioned a bit this cause I mostly asked myself "isn't this a sequel?" but then I reassured myself that they'll probably would reexplain certain things about the previous game and what happened in the story for new comers. Aside from two of my favourite ever animatics being to this (Homestuck and Hermitcraft 8) it’s such a fandom song (genuinely up there with soldier poet king in the “oh my god it’s just like my d&d party” vibe). So many stories are about averting an apocalypse or some other looming threat “I’m waking up at the start of the end of the world” and the whole song is about reflecting back on your life and that of the world around you. It’s perfect for a climatic buildup to the end of a campaign or series finale, or a summary of an entire work. “Say your goodbyes if you’ve got someone you can say goodbye to” is perfect for drawing ships or friends or siblings to, with maybe one solitary person at the end. The percussion and guitar also make it very suited to animatics - there’s perfect parts in the music to switch between frames or scenes. It’s been around since 2007 so it’s nostalgic and from the peak of amvs and animatics. Please this song fucks so hard look at all the lyrics listen to it on loop it’s so quintessential to me

the DRAMA. the STORY. the EMOTIONS. this is a song for an animatic that covers character growth and major plot points, and it does it so well! if i am invested in the fandom and watch a how far we've come animatic i already know it will change me as a person

ok I have a theory I would like to share and I hesitated a while because I will very kindly ask you all not to go harass this person on reddit (whoever she is) if you know what I am talking about. If she is a legit victim she deserves respect so please dont make it worse for her. If she is not, then don't give these girls the attention anymore please, they dont deserve it. About mid-december a post was published on reddit about how a actor who was in a popular Netiflix show that was trending had cause a lot of trauma to the Original Poster (OP on reddit). That it also involved SA. Im sure you have all heard about it. The OP refused to say exactly what was done to her in terms of SA? if you are anonymous on reddit, why not share your story fully if you will go on and post about it?

Anyways, after the allegations came out, it was updated to say it was about Percy.

When this whole mess started on Jan18, some twitter accounts were making threads about all the awful stuff Percy has done, liked, shared etc. (all at once in the span of 2-3 hours btw for some reason, kind of convenient no?)

This particular reddit post was sent to one of these threads by a twitter account who said they were just scrolling through reddit and found the post. I wont share it because I dont want people to go harass this person whoever it is and give more attention as well, but I did find the twitter account who first shared the reddit post on twitter. Mind you this twitter account who first shared the reddit post was created in January 2023 and has not tweeted anything sinc except this. All this account does is like stuff. Kind of convenient again...

Aries and the girls then retweeted this reddit post as more "proof". Now I have been on reddit for a while and that would be a very hard post to find because there are no titles suggesting this would be about Percy. So I think this person knew where to look and what they were looking for.

Also the OP had not commented on her reddit post for a while, but went back to comment on the post about 6 days ago to say that there's more girls that have not said anything. Aries went public on twitter again about 6 days ago...you see where im going with this?

This reddit post was first posted around the same time (a couple days difference) when Aries started trashing Percy on twitter in December, saying how she wants him "gone from the world". She tried the "he threw wild parties, he is a rapist" bit in December as well during an interaction with a friend on twitter. I cant find said tweets anymore because her friend went private but it was this one: https://twitter.com/ellieandjoeI. It did not pick up in December. They tried again in January by commenting on a Wavier shipper account on twitter and then in exploded.

Also the latest comment on the reddit post that was made about 22 hours ago at this time (if you go find the reddit post and sort by new). You can read the full comment if you wish but this person is saying "This Reddit post was posted when Wednesday was gaining popularity and there were no names attached and it was just a general support post. This was not posted after the allegations came out....... This a safe space for people suffering from PTSD and don’t come onto my support post claiming I’m lying. "...there is not a single comment, i swear not a single one on this entire reddit post saying that she is lying. Everyone was supporting her there. She sounds erratic in her latest comment. People are saying these girls are lying on twitter mainly. So I dont know whey she is freaking out on reddit.

Imo this reddit OP is Aries. Or at least one of the girls who accused him on twitter or a friend or whoever I don't know. But I think this person knows Aries. And if that is true, I think this kind of proves this is all a scam because Aries acted like she had never seen this reddit post when she shared in on twitter.

This is just a theory and i cant confirm it it any way, and it can probably be disproven but the original posting just as Aries was starting to bash Percy, another comment just when Aries went back on public 6 days ago, and now this latest comment of the OP freaking out. I dunno...again, just a theory

So last January i started keeping a notes page for recording tags that made me laugh or smile. I was reading through them and realized it been over a year since i started. So i decided to post them to make you all smile too. The fandoms are in no specific order, but i did post my favorite tags at the top of each section. I used the ";" as a break between tags. Ao3 uses "," but several tags included their own "," and "#" made things harder to read so i swapped it out for ";"

These tags are 95% from ao3 fics (many of them from the same fics). The other 5% consist of tumblr tags, fic titles, and the occasional author note/funny fic quote that i loved so much i wrote it down. I dont remember what each fic each tag was from*, so please dont ask for links, but as they're tags you should be able to search them in the ao3 search engine. at first, it had felt like a game - a childish one, in which both had fought for the title they held so dear. a number was just so in many eyes, but in their own, it held much more meaning. to be a harbringer, you must prove your strength. to achieve such title, it wasn't considered dirty to cheat, as it all was just part of the game. as time went on, though, it all had lost it's meaning, though one continued to fight - whether that was to prove he earned his title, and did not want to lose the superiority that it granted him, or for other selfish reasonings that even his inner thoughts refused to accept. due to his own lack of true understanding of the powers others held to make himself seem all the greater, childe went into the war blindly; yet, at the same time, too aware, so much so that his concentration on his weak spots created a new one entirely that was left open. it was not paranoia that put him in this spot, but his own selfish reasons he had yet to entirely understand. a cough escaped the males lips, blood dripping down from the corner of his mouth. it was then, did he realize he underestimated his lovers strength, their willpower, and the lack of true love they held for them. even with a knife against their neck, they would not back down, and it was far too late to realize such. whether [y/n] truly loved him or not, whether they used him for the title that granted them so much power in liyue, he could not tell if what angered him was the lies he had been given or the very fact he so gradually fell straight into them. in the end, all that mattered was who won, but he was unsure if the battle he sought was one he truly wished for. although he was a merciless harbringer, one with no care for the likes of someone like [y/n], he still had a right to love. not only so, but at the end of the day, [y/n] promised him that if all else corroded around the two, they would always be there. childe refused to listen to the soft spoken echoes of the loving words [y/n] used to tell him. he refused to watch the sweet memories of the two playing with teucer, bringing back the toys [y/n] taught him how to make for the pure fact that the poor kid would not find out the truth - or when they would lay in bed together, speaking of the many stories they had experienced in their lifetimes that made them who they were now. but when all is said and done, what all of that was true? did any of it mean anything, if the ones people truly loved hurt them in a way that was unforgivable? when they took away the one thing that meant so much to them? when all is taken, what do they become; what happens then? "you truly can not trust those closest to you." although the males lover already knew what they had done, what it had costed them - the one person he had chosen to love, the last words to leave childes lips was what had made him fully understand what he had done and the pain was one he knew that he never truly would be able to get away from. "well, we will see, won't we?" there was a pause, silence soon flooding the air. childe knew his time was coming, he accepted it, and it nearly mortified him to know things had to end the way it was going to. "y-yeah, we will.," few words left childes lips, and another blade plunged into his stomach. another groan left his lips, his face coiling slightly in pain. if you were to look hard enough, you could almost see the tears that soon began to prick the males eyes. "i love you, ajax." soon, [y/n] wrapped their body against their dying lover, and childe attempted to do the same. "i-i.., love.. you, too." those were the final words that childe spoke, his body soon going limp in his lovers arms. the words he spoke still lingered, echoing in the bristling sounds of leaves swaying in the wind - nothing more, nothing less. to become a harbinger, there were no rules - you just had to prove you were worthy of such a title, no matter what it costed, no matter how you cheated the rest. life does not come with special privilege's, no one will let you surpass them willingly, you have to fool them into believing you cant, and only then will you be able to reach what you sought for.

As you looked up at the ceiling, a sort of buzz filled your body due to the combination of exhaustion and slight fear. It had been a long time since you last saw your now ex-boyfriend and things didn’t exactly end on the best of terms. Was it 2 months since you broke up now? You were happy for him, you really were. But with his newfound success and busy schedule that came with it, you didn’t fit in anymore. The breakup with Heeseung was a sort of mutual agreement between the two of you and while it was neither of your faults, that didn’t make it hurt any less. A month ago, when your ENHYPEN album gifted to you by Heeseung, came, the reality of your break up truly settled in you,

Flashback

Looking at the package now sitting on your desk,

“Staring at it isn’t going to open it,” you muttered to yourself with a slight sigh. Knowing who it was from, you didn’t expect for it to actually show up here yet here it was like a bomb waiting to blow up. Heeseung had gifted you both the dusk and dawn versions of border: day one and while it’s been a month since the two of you last talked and Heeseung’s existence wasn’t exactly avoidable when it was all over your social media feeds and on ads. You opened the album, expecting randomized photocards since that was how all albums were. What you saw wasn’t what you were expecting when the two photocards were of Heeseung, both with a message written on the back, dated exactly a day before you broke up.

The Dusk Version:

Dear y/n,

Hey babe, when you see this it means that our album came out (obviously) and this one is yours. You couldn’t help yourself when you sang along to the songs because you knew all the lyrics as if they were second nature. When the “Let Me In” performance started, things were going ok until Heeseung’s eyes met your own as you heard him sing the very line you were dreading,

“I’ll be your boyfriend,” his voice filled the arena and your heart sank to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. There was no way he was looking at you, not when there were thousands of people surrounding you.

there it is! kama interlude analysis by a kama fan!

WELL. LIKE IT SAYS IN THE TITLE: this is just my own thoughts!! youre free to think whatever u want !! i am just putting my own knowledge into words because i genuinely love kama, and i would like for kama’s depth to be understood by the NA fandom a little more!! i try to stay as close as possible to their character in everything i do because i believe that the more in character they are, the funnier/more interesting content ppl will produce. 

and hopefully i understood them well ???!!!! HOPEFULLY ?!

i will be screenshotting the translated reddit post under this read more and stop whenever something i find interesting to develop pops up ! or else it’ll get way too long lol if you wanna read the interlude for yourself heres the link!

with that said, let’s go!!

kama’s interlude begins with guda passing the hell out because of exhaustion and then waking up in a dream sequence where kama treats them to some relaxing adventures, stuff to take their mind off heavy things!! first dream sequence is kama roleplaying a highschool setting where they’re dating.

i like this because they openly admit that its an illusion, breaking the immersion but as long as youre okay with roleplaying, they’ll continue it LOL  at some point, caesar mentions the student council president and arjuna appears behind him 

since this is an illusion that kama made, i’ve been wondering about the fact that the way servants conduct eachother in this interlude is mostly because that’s how kama envisions they would act in a highschool setting, in an amusement park and finally with eachother (mostly for confirmed couples such as siegbryn, consort yu and her hubby etc...). suzuka and sei being gyarus is obvious, but arjuna as the student council president... is so cute???!!! i MEAN IT FITS ?! THATS A GREAT IDEA KAMA!!!! ANYWAY

this is kama’s first monologue and since they’re primarily the god of lust, all of the more vanilla stuff they mentions such as sharing a pair of headphones embarrasses them since its so tame. ITS CUTE !!! kama expects you to be horny in class !! what are you doing thinking about hand holding !!! medusa saves u from that tho with a direct reference to her relationship with kama’s vessel 

this is interesting !! and reassuring !!! i think that kama as a character has a lot of depth and just reducing them to “sakura” would be a waste and this interlude shows how different they are from her. but they’re also similar! sakura went through a lot just like medusa says and kama does have trauma related to shiva. its not the same circumstances but the same kind of suffering which explains the nuance here. and what i like about chaldea is that there’s been multiple instances where its been proven that servants can grow thanks to their relationships with guda (most common example: leveling up your bonds) BUT ALSO, saint graph evolution (alts). and as a kama fan i’d like to see them happy someday and this interlude as a whole is proof of their healing/coping because of the time they spent in chaldea and how they interact with others. more on that later ! here, they don’t recognize medusa which is normal since they’re not sakura (someone else entierly), but...

they care about her ! because of sakura’s influence being a part of the servant called Kama(assassin). the difference here is important !! but i’ll come back on this in a bit. quick mention to the greek cupid <3 kamadusa nation we were fed (i clap by myself because im the only one who has 57575757557 kama rarepairs-----)

kama is a delinquent whos horny in class but still takes a few notes, enough to do well on their tests! and thats tea<3 smart horny lazyass !! theyre a gift

SO ARJUNA WAS OUT FOR BLOOD ????? ANYWAY, this is right after the actual fight against weirdo terrorists, and im happy to know that kama DOES enjoy a good fight (as proven in their voicelines as well) but theyre not a farming unit because it’d be too much work (single target NP..)...!!!!!!! lavish god of love.... 

FINALLYYYYYYYYYYY THE REAL DEAL !!!!!!!!!!!! “it feels wonderful to be your girlfriend” christ, kamadeva was so used to being a husband and a good lover, it reflected in their servant version.... but ree what do u mean by servant version???

I MEAN THE OBVIOUS !! kama explains it very well in the screenie just above !

KAMA ASSASSIN (the servant in your chaldea) is neither KAMADEVA or SAKURA MATOU or MARA. they’re a MIX OF PARTS OF THE THREE. creating an entierly new person(in this case, servant) !!!! it might sound like i’m repeating myself, but this is important!!!!!!!!! i will say this multiple times so people remember it !!! and if u already had this figured out: GOOD JOB I LOVE U !!!

Kamadeva (the god) has many stories, ones where he was born from concepts (dharma and shraddha), one where his parents are brahma and sarasvati, one where his parents are vishnu and lakshmi, stories about his reincarnation after his death where his parents are krishna and rukmini, his love with Rati and so on. We all know Sakura’s backstory since this is nasuverse. And Mara is a demon, an entity that tried to corrupt Buddha and prevent him from reaching enlightenment/stray from the path. Kama assassin has parts from all of these entities which explains why they have a vague longing for Rati, why they have a soft spot for Medusa and why they have an affinity with Kiara(and also like talking about corrupting u !). 

they then mention how a japanese highschool setting is fun and all i have to say is: i’m gonna make an indo fam delinquent vs student council au out of this one folks !!!!!!!! i gotta !!!

TIME FOR THE SECOND DREAM SEQUENCE WHICH I WAS VERY VERY VERRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYY AFRAID OF BEFORE THE TRANSLATION CAME OUT.

THE PART WHERE KAMA ACTS LIKE YOUR CHILD.

well with their stage 1 it was expected but without the translation i have to say that i was scared shitless! because people hate thinking! and even if kama clearly tells you that it’s a charade, u know a JOKE. A DREAM SEQUENCE. DONT BE A CREEP. KAMA INTENDED FOR IT TO BE WHOLESOME. i know some ppl wont use their brains. but u know its fgo and degenerates are everywhere. 

anyways. family bonding time ensues until another monologue appears!!

exactly like before, kama mentions myths that belonged to kamadeva. Meaning that the Kama in our chaldea isn’t the Kamadeva we know and is not Pradyumna either but the fact that the writers chose to have kama acknowledge it is very reassuring !!! Because it means that they’ve chosen to make it a part of their (complicated) history. Kama says that Pradyumna is the myth about themself they know the least, once again proving us that the Kama in our Chaldea (Assassin) is a different entity and that they were summoned to the throne upon their death, the moment they were burned by Shiva’s flames and became Ananga, in any case they’re still familiar with all of their own myths. it allows us to keep heroic spirits separate from their original myths. Obviously! And in the case of pseudo-servants, it allows us to keep them separate from their vessels. Cuz this is a fanservice japanese game. Andddd the fandom likes forgetting this fact quite a lot i’ve noticed. As a person who loves thinking about tons and tons of headcanons for fun, this allows us a lot of space ! Because this is fate/grand order at its base. Nasuverse. 

I’m glad that the interlude explains it so clearly, it’s very good !! Because the majority of myths from every culture are confusing, family trees are confusing, names are confusing, powers and attributes are confusing... its a mess !!!! the fgo characters we know are just cut from their own respective timelines/historial figures so the writers can organize themselves more easily. Like cutting halves from a big cake. Kama (Assassin) is the Kama that died from Shiva’s flames and became the universe ONLY. In Nasuverse, Arthur Pendragon is a woman. Anastasia Romanov NEVER had a demon familiar named Viy in real life despite the creature being part of russian folklore. u know ! im russian i can testify dude !! 

hopefully everyone got this bc i wont be explaining this any further dude, its exhausting !!!!!! bangs my hands on the table !!!!! 

ANYWAYS kama mentions “eternal pain that turns [them] into ash” being their key element. Their trauma is at the center of their heroic spirit self, what they are as a servant. This suffering is tied to everything they do, why they’re so lazy, why they’re so lax, why they’re so detached from their job.  But they’re not detached from their role. And “job” and “role” have different connotations here. They refuse to work as a cupid because of obvious reasons. BUT. They’re not detached from their role as the God of Love, as the God of Passion. The embodiment of those feelings. This whole interlude is proof ! They’re giving u free therapy because they Love you. Passion. They feel your love. Passion. They acknowledge how much fun you’re having. How passionate you are about certain things. They might seem extremely detached and hateful, but they aren’t. They’re one of the most empathetic servants there is. And their ability to love everything, even the things they hate is what makes them so miserable. Because it’s a part of them. Because the concept of Kama in hinduism is linked to them. Be it lust or simply the passion born from anything you do where you’re enjoying yourself. (quote:  “ the term also refers to any sensory enjoyment, emotional attraction and aesthetic pleasure such as from arts, dance, music, painting, sculpture and nature “. R. Prasad (2008), History of Science, Philosophy and Culture in Indian Civilization )

... I’d like to say that this contrast with Mara is interesting. And that i’m glad the writers chose to add in Mara to the kama assassin Beast mix. 

Because the anger Mara feels can become a drivepoint for Kama. I’ve always believed that anger and sadness are two sides of the same coin, it’d explain how layered Kama is and how valid their emotions are. Constantly torn between love and hate. An eternal grudge (i don’t deserve to be hurt like this) and an eternal misery(maybe i do deserve to be hurt like this). 

i wish they were my roommate <3 oh fuck ree got emotional wait where were we.

OH YEAH

i think kama saying that they dislike being involved with other indian servants because theyre linked to shiva is a feeble attempt at trying to keep up a strong front because they still love them in the end. cuz that’s how kama is ! after a while they’ll get bored of bullying ganesha and ashwatthama. they’ll get interested in rama because their respective mythos are linked even if their servant selves have no connection. hell, at the end of the interlude they talk about parvati and how they themself changed and realized things. this is actual proof of kama’s growth as a servant and how servants evolve in chaldea !! chaldea is not the same as a grail war, its a special, cut-off place and thats what makes it even more relaxing to think about. Everytime u summon a servant in ur chaldea u give them a chance to have fun with you, to have fun with other servants, to make amends, to start from scratch, to discover things they would’ve never known in their time (movies, video games, tons of different foods etc...), u give them a chance to relax. to grow !! this is the headcanon that im most attached to and im glad to see it be confirmed in the interlude of a character i love tbqh i had to stop and talk about that.

Aside from two of my favourite ever animatics being to this (Homestuck and Hermitcraft 8) it’s such a fandom song (genuinely up there with soldier poet king in the “oh my god it’s just like my d&d party” vibe). So many stories are about averting an apocalypse or some other looming threat “I’m waking up at the start of the end of the world” and the whole song is about reflecting back on your life and that of the world around you. It’s perfect for a climatic buildup to the end of a campaign or series finale, or a summary of an entire work. “Say your goodbyes if you’ve got someone you can say goodbye to” is perfect for drawing ships or friends or siblings to, with maybe one solitary person at the end. The percussion and guitar also make it very suited to animatics - there’s perfect parts in the music to switch between frames or scenes. It’s been around since 2007 so it’s nostalgic and from the peak of amvs and animatics. Please this song fucks so hard look at all the lyrics listen to it on loop it’s so quintessential to me

the DRAMA. the STORY. the EMOTIONS. this is a song for an animatic that covers character growth and major plot points, and it does it so well! if i am invested in the fandom and watch a how far we've come animatic i already know it will change me as a person

It's the OG. I don't even know if homestuck started its popularity in the animatic scene but it was huge and it remains huge. From TAZ to (apparently, from a quick youtube search) hermitcraft, this song will tear at people's heartstrings as they think about blorbos the band has can't even imagine.

How You Chose Your Titles: honestly i don’t have a straightforward answer to this question lolol.  i like titles that don’t have any letters capitalized because i’m ~pretentious~ lol but otherwise it kind of just... comes to me?  sometimes i have a specific song in mind while i’m writing that I take lyrics from (like for my yueki sci fi au they will see us waving from such great heights) and other times it just comes from the summarizing the vibe of the subject matter.  Either way i try to consider titles from a reader perspective- something that would be simultaneously telling and intriguing enough to make me want to click on it.

Do You Outline?: yes!! i have lots of different scales of outlines- outlines for the general fic, and then outlines of scenes and moments and everything. they’re not super strict- if while im writing i realize i want to go a different direction then i’ll go back and edit my outline, but my adhd will not let me start something unless i can check it off a list or see a stopping point, and copious outlines let me do that :)

Personally, I’m intrigued from a meta-view of “oh so that’s definitely pulling from online world and fanfiction world, interesting. I wonder how much fanfiction culture is starting to influence print book culture and promotion.” Maybe I’ve got some questions like, “Ok so moneymaking companies such as Penguin are now using culture developed by the not-moneymaking-world of fanfiction? How do we feel about this?” Anyway, the book looks cute, I’m interested enough and I might get it from the library.

I suspect many people’s reactions are along the lines of “hm, interesting”, “sounds like a lark”, or “haha they’re using AO3 tags as promo”, etc.

So that’s a lot of info and reactions.

Personally: at first glance, I absently skimmed the tweet and “hurt/comfort” popped out, and I was like “What? Mainstream publishing is cool with this now? I was wondering if ‘hurt/comfort’ would one day become commonly used in publishing [related post]. But this is way sooner than I thought.” And then I read the rest of of the tweet and thought, “Wait, what?” 

And then I started reading through the tweet replies and thought, “OK, at the risk of getting a bunch of Tumblr drama, I want to bring this to the whump community and see how people feel."

As for myself, one of my squicks is non-con, and I’m not really interested in hurt/no comfort. So just from the tweet, I know the book is not for me. The official blurbs confirmed that. In this sense, this is like skimming Ao3 tags on a fic and saying “pass” on a story.

However, I have questions about the specific promotion of the book. So the official blurbs are pretty standard. What about that tweet, which Tor (and the author, who helped put it together) put out? Because I think an official publisher’s Tweet comes with different context than Ao3 tags.

First, the different internet spaces. You can filter tags on Ao3 and Tumblr. I know you can mute words on Twitter, but is that the same thing? Also, would people be expecting these tags on Twitter? Compared to Ao3 or Tumblr or Tumblr Whump spaces?

Within the Tumblr Whump community, from what I’ve browsed, the community attitude (guidelines?) seem to be “Write and discuss what you want. Be sure to tag it, use content warnings, or otherwise clearly communicate if you have things that may be triggering. Respect people’s squicks/triggers. Walk away from what you don’t like.” Like, tumblr whump has a very specific culture of trying to balance discourse/stories about potentially very dark stuff, but also wanting to make sure the IRL people and Tumblr users are okay. There’s always posts going around about how to do this, are we doing this in the right way, ethics, so on. Also -- and people can correct me -- the whump tumblr space might be where tags are content warnings for people to stay away, and also what people might actively look for. So if any space is going to discuss if this promotional tweet checks out, I feel like it’s this space. 

Also, to note again, Tor Tweets are in the money-official-publisher-world, not unpaid-tumblr-people or unpaid-fanfiction-fandom-world.

Maybe I just want to ask, “Hey those first two tweet responses, does they have a point? Tor using ‘noncon’ as official promotion? On Twitter?” I mean, I’ve previously written, “The CW and TW tags that Ao3 writers use, I really wish those were used with published books as well.” But somehow, the Tor tweet was not quite what I was expecting. Maybe for reasons similar to that first tweet response. (I guess one could debate if a tweet is really promotion or just information... you know what someone can correct me, but I’m gonna say that a Tor.com tweet is promotion, compared to information like Ao3, and that tweet was there for promotion.)

Those tags operate within specific Ao3 and Tumblr cultures and infrastructure. I don’t hang around Twitter for whump stuff, IDK what the culture is. Anyway, does dropping these tags into a promotional tweet from Tor.... translate?

The tweet is evidently gathering the people who are there for it, and the people who aren’t there for it are quickly realizing that they are not there for it. But personally, the Tor website blurb does a better job at that, using writing that I’d expect from a publisher for communicating fictional non-con situations. (Maybe the blurb content warnings are what I wanted more of, when I said I wished for CW and TW in books.)

Anyway, there’s no huge drama about that Docile book promo on Twitter, as far as I can tell. So this is a niche thing, right now. But. The promo for Bonds of Brass and for Docile might be the beginnings of a trend of well-known book publishers borrowing from online writing / fandom culture and terminology in order to promote or categorize their books. These two promos might set a precedent or have other significance.

So if anyone has discourse on the tweets or potential future trends...

ALL OF IT JSHDJSKD, but again a lot of the enki scenes i was worried would be too edgy TM, and the whole annunaki plot as well i was worried might be too ‘out there’ for ppl, but it takes the story exactly where i always wanted it and lines everything up perfectly so i went for it lol. i was also ofc worried if people would like ila or not bc oc but most ppl love her actually which is so 😭❤️

oh yEA like basically i was ready to quit after the very first chapter before it was even written and kinda just got it all out on a whim of motivation but was expecting to flake on it like i tend to do with projects, but the invested response to it was just so uplifting that its what ive been riding on all ten chapters and im so grateful for it :’)))

✏️-Would you go back and change anything if you could?

hHHHHHHH yes and ok this is terrible but i actually tend to avoid re-reading my older chapters until i hAVe to bc i suffer from that sO much ,,, , its just little things like tiny words i wanna change or bits i wanna take out/put in and once or twice ive even caught a mistake or plot hole/smth i forgot to add that i rly do have to go back and edit and i just turn to dust every tim e

⭐- What’s a scene/paragraph you’re proud of?

i really liked the northern lights scene!! it was meant to be a pivotal moment of that ‘bittersweetness’ vibe i was talking abt and it was another one of those scenes i had been planning for a while;;;

“ I think of how much the rest of the family would love this. This isn’t like the moon and the sun, where I can see it and know that even if it looks different, they’ll see the same one soon enough, wherever they are. This reminds me only that I am not with them. It stings. It seems unnatural for something so gentle and natural to appear before us as if we aren’t in complete, total fucking chaos. After all we’ve been through, and the sky still dances. “

🔦-Did you learn anything while writing it? About yourself? Writing?

isdfhSDF YEs, part of my hesitation to write came from this thing where i always just assumed there was a wildly high standard of writing in fandom spaces like in original literature spaces, where you had to have like 10+ sentences to a paragraph and you had to describe every tiny detail of a setting and you had to follow every single grammar rule or it was unreadable but like. genuinely its like sculpting with words as long as you have a shape ppl get the idea which is such a weight off my shoulders lol, its still a lot of work but so much fun to know i can to an extent do what i want and ppl actually like it like that. i also learned that like most other writers i have to cause my favs emotional and physical pain,

🎁- Any writing advice for people who want to write something like this?

hhHHHH 1. please do it its so fun just give in to the edge my guy , 2. try to get comfortable re-reading your chapters, for me its like when ppl listen to themselves sing/act but im trying to do better bc its so much more consistent when i keep it fresh in my mind and it also boosts confidence when u can pick out the things u like instead of the things u dont, 3. trying to have at least one scene in mind for each chapter that ur excited to write so u can have motivation to update faster! for me it doesnt have to be smth i think would excite the audience either like it could be the most basic thing but just having an idea of it and knowing i want to see it come to life rly helps me stay on top of it all

Azriel x Reader

Author note:  I’m sorry. Im sorry this isn’t the best chapter or that it took so long to get out. I’ve written this about ten times now and each time I trashed it, I am thinking of ending this series here. I have so much more to write but I feel as though I won’t do it justice. I have tried to write another x reader but for Cassian. It would be a Fire elemental x Cassian but im scared to post it as I don’t believe myself to be a good writer. I doubt anyone will read this but im sorry.

Chapter 6: Y/N P.O.V I moved to the bed and saw the way my shadows wrapped around his wrists and the way they simply moved like mist. He could've moved if he wanted he and I both knew that but chose him not too: smart. He was smiling from ear to ear at me with soft happy eyes. Sighing I waved my hand lazily and my shadows melted away. He slowly rose then sat at the end of the bed his wings, god his wings. 

"I have to go" he whispered, memories of that day came flooding back and it was almost too much to hear that sentence again. The day he left me and the day he spoke those words. "I promise to come back, my link is always open for you" his hands came to my waist and pulled me forward into his body, the rush of his scent calmed me. My body was pressed against him, I loved being in his arms: craved it. I felt safe and wanted something I had not felt in a long time. I was deprived of this for fifty-three years. I hadn't completely let it go but I was trying, this was all I wanted. 

"You said that you know" my arms moved from around his neck to his wings gently touching them, my nails coming to drag along the edges of his wings. The feeling of his arms tightening around me and the grunt from his throat forced me to smile. "On the day you left, you said you had to go. I watched as you walked out of my room then my home" his wings tucked close to his back as my nails continued to drag along the skin of the wings. I could hear his breathing picking up. 

"I know, it runs through my head constantly" his voice breathy and not above a whisper, kissing his head I stopped my hand. His hair was soft and silky to the touch but short, just the way I liked it. He was beautiful in every sense of the word and I didn't even know how to describe it. 

"It's OK, just keep me updated," I asked or more so begged calmly, moving back to look at his eyes. Hazel meeting E/C in a swirl of emotions fear was predominant in my own. I moved forward my eyes closing slowly, my lips connected with his. We moved in sync, lips dancing as one. We were one and we had been for a very long time. The way his fingers gripped my shirt and he pulled me closer to him if that was possible. I wanted everything he had, we continued to kiss until he moved away and looked down at me. 

"I love you, with all my heart and soul. It belongs to you and only you" I wanted to cry but held back my tears and simply smiled. Breathing in to calm my racing heart I nodded and pecked his lips once more, stepping back as I looked to him. This was the man I loved so dear.

"And I you Azriel" sighing and looking down only to then look up and smile "Your brothers are waiting for you. I will be here, I won't leave the house, I promise" His form moved to stand over me being around a head taller made me feel small but safe all at the same time. 

He moved to wrap his arms around me once more his wings enveloping us as he did so, the heat seeped into my skin making a sigh of contempt leave my mouth. Kissing my lips once more than my neck and whispering "I'll be back my love" his wings left my body as he did too, walking around me, hearing the door open and then the click of it closing. I could sense him moving away. I felt cold, so cold.

"I hope so" I whispered and moved to the shadowed corner in my room. "Boys I need you here please" within seconds I had the five of them kneeling in front of me. I looked at them, they seemed to be very proud of themselves. "What did you five do," I asked tilting my head in a way of interest. 

"Devlon is a screamer" Araysh spoke and the others laughed together as I joined in. I could feel the emotion from them, I wanted to be there and see the way he screamed as they said, he deserved it. 

"He sure is" Draven smirked as a whisk of shadow fell from his body. I watched as they commented about the other soldiers they fought and scared. I wanted to be with Az, I had just gotten him back and now he was ripped away. Colder. I understood he had a job to do and the boys were his family but I missed him. I didn't see him for so long and then he leaves, again. Colder. 

"What is wrong with my lady" Kardama looked to me as all the boy's eyes turned to mine. I sighed and laughed awkwardly. Looking to them I was about to say nothing I was just tired or another excuse that popped into my mind but Kardama beat me to it "Do not lie, we can tell" he smiled as did the others, these were basically my children they knew me better then I knew myself. These people were my family I couldn't lie to them and even if I did I would immediately feel guilty. 

"Azriel had to go do some jobs, I just got him back and I feel like I'm about to lose him again. I can't go through that again, losing my mate for that long I didn't know how to live at one point and I'm terrified he won't come back" my voice was low as my eyes downcast to the ground. Colder. 

"He won't, he loves you. He is a warrior and will be gone from time to time but he will always return. He left all those years ago but he came back"  Ozul spoke, he was right. No matter how long it was he did come back, he still loved me after all these years and didn't find someone else. I never felt the bond move, although his walls were up and they never came down for a second, never shifted or rippled. I never felt the pull of him loving or having a relationship with another person. 

"Thank you, all of you" breathing in to calm my emotions once more. "Now back to work boys we are still in an Illyrian camp with Illyrian males" raising my eyebrows to look at them as they rose from the ground to look over me being quite tall as well. Colder.

"Isn't your mate an Illyrian male" Araysh smirked and looked to me with a raised eyebrow and a questioning look. I laughed as all the others in the room did.  

"Yes, he is. Not a usual Illyrian male but he sure does have traits of one" I laughed louder and then used my hands to throw them into the air and spoke once more "Go go, back to workmen" I used a fake serious voice as they all fell into the ground. The windows stayed shadowed from the power they had, calmly sitting in the shadows around the house. I'm sure talking to each other while working. Colder, my skin felt colder. 

I sighed and wondered what the Cassian and Rhysand needed him for. I was curious but I promised to stay inside, I was bored already and he had left less than five minutes ago. Going to one of my bags knowing my men would pack my most prized possessions. My books, I searched for a while then found the bag I was looking for. Going through my many books until I found one I enjoyed more than anything. There was no title and it seemed to crumble in my hands from age but I loved it nonetheless, I had read this book so many times I knew every sentence off by heart. Every page turn wasn't new but when reading it the words seemed so foreign as though I had never read them. 

I moved to the bed rested myself upon the bed head and began reading, my eyes scanning over the words of a forgotten language that I seemed to know how to read perfectly. The book was crumbling much like the story but held together as did the characters. It seemed real to be a story as though this was someone's journal but it being so old, no one could tell not that I let many people touch this book. I held it close to my heart and made sure I never went with it outside or near the natural elements. I was a High Lady, a commander of an army yet here I sat book in hand and an imagination running through the clouds. I was cold. 

I was never a normal kid or fae for that matter. I never had friends and would only ever stay in my court, rarely adventuring out and when I did only for a very short amount of time. I had never given it a second thought nor my heritage or powers. I am born of shadows much like Nuala and Cerridwen but I held power not known to this world, not known to even my mate. He knows I am powerful but not the extent. I hope to keep it that way but with the war about to break I know that will not happen. He will see me for who I am and I don't want that, he believes me to be as normal as a shadow fae can but he doesn't know my true self, the one kept under lock and key. My eyes drifted from the words on the page as the book became loose in my fingers, my mind was wondering and I seemed to not able to ground myself again. I could feel the shadows coming forth from my body and I knew what I was doing but had no control over it. Colder. 

I felt a caress at the wall of my mind a misty plain where if you entered there'd be no telling if you could come back out, the feeling of someone standing on the outside. I knew those gentle caresses, my mate. My walls weren't going down and I couldn't control it. I was floating in my own mind, an inky abyss surrounded me. As though I was mist in the wind, being carefully drifted through the air. I needed to ground myself, imagining Azriel. Imagining his kisses along my neck, his fingertips ghosting over my skin making the hairs stick up, the way he says my name in a whisper, his wings that flutter and move as he does normal tasks. I could feel the mist clearing, Azriel was my anchor he always was. I could hear something now, it was a voice. "Y/N" it was quite but seemed to get louder with each passing second. "Y/N" I heard it again, Azriel. His voice was deep but soothing. "Y/N". My mind was cold. 

The mist cleared and I watched as a wall of shadow slowly drifted away from around me, I was looking to my book which gently laid in my hands, the pages old and falling apart, small parts are torn or faded. The mist in my mind was drifting as well, slowly but it was getting there. My head rose from the book and I saw a worried Azriel with my men standing and looking at me from the corner. Rhysand and Cassian were in the room as well, they were staring in shock it seemed. 

"What happened," I asked and placed the book on the stand next to the bed, placing it down as gently as I could to not damage it further. My palms rose to rub my eyes and push my hair from my face. I felt drained yet energized but in a different way. My mind was drained but my body energized. 

"I thought you could tell us. Az got a weird feeling and we came into you being in a cocoon of shadows" Cassian was looking me up and down as he walked a step closer, wings clung to his back in weary. "We've been here for almost half an hour" now I was shocked one. Half an hour, it felt like seconds minutes at most. How long was I in it before they arrived I looked to my men and saw their faces understanding my thoughts were correct, how long was I in the mist state. 

I didn't know how to react and I felt Azriel at my walls once more. Letting him enter but not letting him see the memories of the moments in the mist state. His wings fluttered in my mind, it felt loving and calming. I shook my head and looked to the boys with a smile. 

"Nothing to worry about, my mind just drifted allowing my powers to go a little haywire. It's all good" I was hoping with that explanation they would accept it and not look any further. Az was sitting in front of me looking over my body in a loving way. 

Nodding their response I was glad they didn't look any further into it, I could see the questions in their eyes but they let it be thankfully. "Well, we will be going. It's mid-afternoon so you two have some time before dinner. Mor will be arriving in a few days, something came up and she had to stay. Amren will be travelling with her, stay safe" anyone else would've taken those words as a sexual comeback but I knew Rhysand meant my state. He meant me to be safe. Colder. 

Rhysand and Cassian left the room as my men fell back into the shadows to watch the house. I looked to Azriel who eyes weren't looking at mine but my chest. I looked down and saw the slight marking of a tattoo. His hand came up to lightly pull my shirt down seeing the tattoo on my collar bone, it was bat wings like his with stars floating around them. His fingers went over them as a shudder slithered through my spine, my eyes were on him as his lips pulled into a small smile while looking to it. 

"This is the deal we made all those years ago" he didn't look to me only my now slightly bare chest. The pad of his thumb ghosting over the skin, the deal we made. The marking of the deal, a deal that would be permanently on my skin. We made it on the night of our mating. "We did it out of love. The deal to always look to the stars and know our love is infinite just as they are" voice a whisper he paused biting his lip then sighing "I bet you wanted to rip it off your skin all those years ago" there were scars around it from trying to do just that, when he left my world fell as though there were no stars in my sky. "I'm sorry my love" his eyes moved to mine and they seemed to shake with sadness. 

"I forgave you over thirty years ago" his eyes wide and looking to mine in guilt. "I knew you left for me but the way you left and no messages, I didn't know what to do. Not waking up in your arms or the fact if I went to your walls, I knew you were there but never opened. If I couldn't live with you I didn't want to live at all" I heard a gasp and his shaking breath left from his lungs. "I wanted you and only you. My mind forgave you but my soul didn't. Our bond never weakened and that's what kept me going all those years" his eyes were now on mine as I smile. "I forgive you Azriel" those are the words I longed to say, I craved to say. Warmer. 

"Thank you" he whispered and pulled me to his chest, warmth embraced my skin. Wings wrapping around my form made me feel safe. I loved this side of him, the calm and loving side. His shields were down and his emotions raw. I moved to have my arms around his neck and his around my waist, head buried in my neck. 

I wasn't sure how long we sat in silence but it was heavenly. Both of our bodies pushed together feeling the heat from one another, skin contact was nice and I loved his rough skin against the smoothness of my own. His wings moved occasionally and fluttered when they needed to stretch. Warmer.

Azriel fell back onto the bed and held me as he did, bringing my body down with his. Wings now beneath spread wide, the skin of them stretching out to the full extent. I loved this look. I moved to straddle his waist and look down at him. "What," he asked E/C clashing with hazel. Warm.

"You're Beautiful" the words left my mouth with no hesitation insight. Falling from my lips with wholehearted honesty. I wanted him to feel the words in his very core. I loved him with all my soul. 

His scarred hands dragged along my thighs and he smiled "You too my love". I was burning.

ok so. welcome to the rabbit hole that is my music taste and what is my no.1 most frequently done activity.. plastering emotions i have for fictional characters all over my music taste. I restricted myself to ¾ songs for each character & then to Edie, Hubert, Dorothea, Lysithea & Byleth because otherwise we’d be here all day (and those are the Primary Daydream Candidates rn)

under a rm because as im sure we’ve all seen.. i just don’t fucking stop.. also i got weirdly deep about some of these topics. i don’t know how to tag it. tread careful?

Here are some songs.. welcome to my (notoriously bad) music taste. alsoi go in Very heavy handed about it all. i make only a few apologies:

Edelgard:Everybody wants to rule the word - tears for fears. (ucan go with Lorde’s cover but i prefer the original bc im like that.) i meanit’s pretty heavy handed but it’s such an Edelgard song it !!!! fuels my ficwriting. if it’s not so very Edelgard’s relationship with twsitd then idk whatto tell you. plus it’s an iconic song

Medicine - daughter. (daughter is My Favourite Band. Ever. I cannot articulate how much ilove their (and ex:re’s) music!!) anway. this is a hegegard song & i don’ttake constructive criticism. I’ll reiterate this better in other descriptions,but please don’t take my inclusion of a song about such a topic as adevaluation of it in any way, that’s not my intention. The reason I go so feralfor Hegegard is because im no stranger to watching someone you care about hurt themselvesin a way you can’t stop, and that’s what the AM ending evokes in me. Hence: asong I love that one can read the same story in. And then the lyrics ‘You couldstill be / What you want to / What you said you were / When I met you” just !! parallelsEdge of Dawn’s lyrics about regret & overall I’m very feral about this.

(Don’t Fear) The Reaper - blue oystercult. this is PRIME Edelgard telling freshly-awokenbyleth she’s been waging war for 5 years. also !!!! “Seasonsdon’t fear the reaper / Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain, we can be likethey are” >>> “The Edge of Dawn (Seasons ofWarfare) (フレスベルグの少女～風花雪月～,lit. Seneca - Novo Amor. this is another one of those songs that could mean something different to everyone. very easy to project onto, is novo amor. I like the story of being prepared to run and break ties at any given moment, but ending up - emotionally or physically - in the same place one always was. apart from the glaring tie of how Edelgard returned to garreg mach, this song is a lot of me trying to repatriate Edelgard’s lack of emotional arc in the game by saying . well. this song. 

You can call me Al -  paul simon. am i projecting edeleth thoughts onto my favourite song? it’s morelikely than you think!!! but also i like the chorus and all the exasperating ‘call me el’jokes i can make.. i may be half writing a fic based on this song.

Dorothea:Agnes - glass animals. so i have significant emotions about edelthea at the best of times !! and this song !!! really bloody hits it home !! yes I knowit’s got a really heavy and real subject matter and I’m not trying to devalueit or minimise it.. but the story - about watching someone close to you hurtthemselves/get hurt, and doing so in ways you can’t stop them from - is adamn real one. And a Lot of why I love Dorothea’s character in the gamebecause she’s the one who can’t stop her friends from getting hurt – through exposureto warfare .. or  stopping Edelgard becomingthe monster at the end of the story. Even though she’s one of the healers onthe beagle’s team. And I feel that.

Ex’s and Oh’s – Elle King. So you know that one spn fanvid featuringthis song about all of dean winchester’s relationships? That, but for my flirting Queen Dorothea Arnault. (and I have the dumbest most fun little headcanon thatonce Dorothea and Sylvain derailed a lgbt+ society meeting whilst Edie wastrying to go over the budget by blasting this song and dancing on the table.The idea makes me laugh)

Hold My Girl – George Ezra. The whole thing about wanting just that onemoment to cherish the people you love for one moment more before you have goout face the world? If that’s not the timeskip’d Dorothea Arnault Aesthetic, Idon’t know what is.

(Call Me Out – sea girls. On a much lighter note, this song is fueling the later half of mydrafts of road trip au. And it’s literally because of that one verse. im gayshut up.)

Hubert:Red Right Hand – nick cave and the bad seeds. Is it on the nose? Is itheavy handed? Oh u fuckin bet but that won’t stop me!!! A) it’s a good song. ItIs. B) I like narrative songs. C) Any ‘red right hand’ symbolism in Anycharacter has me love them immediately and also plonk this song in the middleof any playlist about them. sure, the artic monkeys version might be a bit more on hubert’s brand.. but my mileage varies about it lmao

I had fortress by bear’s den earmarked for Hubie, as I think it’s easilyread about boundaries and a one sided intense relationship & that’s! Hubiebaybee! But I can’t possibly cover unhealthy relationships without shoving thealbum Hospice by The Antlers into every which way of it. It’s by no meansdirectly translatable to Edelgard and hubert’s relationship and it’s arguable ifI should even mention it in the same sentence as a bloody fictional character… that beingsaid, I’ve been having emotions about:Shiva – the antlers. This song specifically reads to me to be a really goodarticulation of my own thoughts about Hubert’s perspective of Edie getting experimentedon. heavy but damn. I like that. I just see a lot of what their teen years togethermust have been like in Shiva.

Time – Pink Floyd. Ok so.. it’s like Hubert in parallel bc I think thissong is a lot about searching for a purpose/reason or a quote unquote bloodyred path in life. And I may have been listening to it when I watched Hubert/DorotheaA support & now it’s just permanently associated with it bc it complementedit so well. And I like it. So . it stays. It’s very much a beagles song to meas well.

Lysithea:The Beautiful Dream – George Ezra. Ok so I read this Edelysithea ficwith this on repeat bc the title reminded me of it, and then I stuck it onrepeat because it worked too well and now.. im crying.. and i like the inflection of Lysithea’s bitterness over the titular lyric. (but also, it remains one of my steadfast edeleth songs.. sorry lys)

Secrets (Cellar Door) – Radical Face. Another Edelgard&/Lysitheasong!! I really like their relationship ok. And given the song itself can beread straight or an allegory for whatever you particularly want, but the storyis just too on the nose for me not to mention it here.(also general advocation of listening to the whole of radical face’s musicbecause I’ve loved it for years now & the work is beautiful.) (also it’swonderful for fe awakening projection. Or ur own.)

Oh Children – nick cave and the bad seeds. there’s a million different interpretations of this song, but to try nail a few onto Lysithea.. there’s the harry potter use of making/finding a light in the depths of tragedy & i love that for Lys. there’s the whole ‘the kids aren’t alright’ theme and it’s various depths. and i like narrative lyrics to plaster my large fictional-character-caused-emotions onto, so make of this one what you will.

Marianne (and Lysithea too if you like)Bad Blood – Radical Face. Ok so. This is one of my favourite songs in bloodyexistence, and it’s so loaded with meaning & it has a metric tonne of it. Icould wax lyrical about how much I love Radical Face’s work. I don’t want myinclusion of this song (specifically this one) to in any way devalue it. Butmusic is ofc incredibly subjective, and so is my reading of a lot of threehouses – in case it’s not bloody obvious by now. There’s a Lot of stories onecould take from Marianne’s character (and none of them are More Valid^tm thanany other), and I do see a very personal story in her – as I do in this song. Hgghhghive just spent 10 minutes trying to find an impersonal way to talk about twovery personal and relative stories, which naturally doesn’t work. That, and theway I read her story is Real Fucking Dicey for tumblr.com. so if this song is about accepting rejection because of parts of yourself so deep they’re in your blood, i think.. y’all can see.. where my neurodivergent gay self is going with this..

Byleth:Something to Believe In – Tom Walker. Yeah. You’re bloody welcome. If this isn’ta completely on the nose Byleth song, I’ll eat Dorothea’s hat.

Don’t Let the Man – Fatboy Slim. ~ And the sign said green-hairedpartially possessed emotionally void mercenaries need not apply for aprofessorship at the country’s most prestigious academic centre… ~

Emigrate - Novo Amor. this just fucking Got Me in the ‘actively choosing crimson flower’ feelings. im an emotional wreak but its aight. the lyrics just matched up too well for me to let it go !!!

Alps - Novo Amor. this hit me in the ‘i miss the gremlin child sothis’ feelings one day and now it’s permanently stuck that way.

Make Them Gold – chvrches. (this is very much associated with awakening’sfuture past kids and also the Carmilla series in my mind But!!) I love a story about‘if we’re all falling, we’re going down together’ and the magical power of teamwork, and how it brings out the best in people.. & that’s what this song& Byleth kinda bloody stand for ya know??
