I dislike takes that Danse would be just as conservative in modernized aus when it's clearly shown his staunch views of things come from his time in the Brotherhood and his deep-rooted desire to belong to something with a greater purpose.

Not to mention lines that show much more open-mindedness that get overlooked for his harsher sentiments when you first meet him. i finished my reread of dungeon meshi today and i am once again astounded by how good this story is. the power of autism is beautiful. i know mithrun is my Obvious Fave, but the first character i latched on to, and that made me keep reading in the first place - was laios. i have so many feelings about laios!!! I don't know how Round 2 of the Pernida battle is going to go, but it does look like Barragan and Starrk might be able to defeat his first phase in a combined battle, if not alone (assuming they're not on Pernida's turf where they can't fly and need a foothold).

Mayuri firing off exploding souls was able to tear Pernida apart, so there's no reason to suspect that Starrk's wolves wouldn't do the same.

And I don't know how Pernida would be able to attack Barragan with his nerve attacks; his nerves would rot before touching him, and even if he could launch enough, they wouldn't be able to contact Barragan long enough to take him over.

I'm obviously not giving either of them a victory over a Staffel member, because these guys are the Final Bosses, but they should be fast enough, clever enough, and hacked enough to survive the first round.

I will be forever grateful i can be on this new med. it's one a lot of folks also need and can struggle to have access to! It's important i be on it, especially if i start doing any vid collabs

it's hard to answer without flying into a rant

my thoughts are, that,

from the time I was around 3 to the time I was around 13 I was waiting for someone or some datum to show me how the USA wasn't in fact a place of supreme evil, indistinguishable from the enemies it constantly warns against, and that when I was 14 I fucking lost it with feelings of betrayal and suspicion for just about everyone but a handful of other runaways.

it took a long time to see parents and family / family-friends as victims, in addition to officers, of Americanism. I still struggle to not start orating fiery-style when friends and family repeat the lies that seemed so glaringly obvious to me as a kid. I know it does the opposite of what I hope for, though, so I continue the struggle, all the struggles. It fucks with my head how much this litany of insane life-negating doctrines impresses everyone. It's so rare to talk to anyone at all in real life that isn't somehow digesting it, and just-barely-consciously deciding to go along with it.

I hate this nation that captured me all those years ago with my whole being, but I love humans, I love people, with the same exact fire. It's fucking hard. This situation is harder than I imagined it would be for me to process clearly, even though I've been steeled for it, dreading it, for decades.

For whatever it can possibly be worth, the people that reared me included anti-zionist Jews, and they schooled me so hard in ethics & then-current-politics, I can only imagine that if they were alive today we'd be seeing them in the streets right now, doing what we should all be doing, dismantling this motherfucker!

it’s a curse that back in 2018 , when i was super into IT , the perception surrounding it was that the cast was super duper hot and you had to find them very dateable and be overtly parasocial and now it’s 2023 and i watched the black phone and i am noticing the exact same thing , though on a smaller scale . will there ever be a point where a movie or series that stars teenagers will be perceived as anything more than ‘rough and tough ( and so handsome ) boys’ . lord i hope so
