johto’s champion and chronicler for the deity of the ilex shrine, it’s lyra!🌿
this one took me a while due to trying out different techniques (studying a Lot of art nouveau) and making a couple changes to her outfit (the details help), but I’d like to think she’s learned a lot in her journey and wanted to reflect her experience more in her champion fit
her specialty would be in fairy types and her meganium’s divergent evolution is grass/fairy 🧚🪷
and a bonus w/ the johto gang after the photoshoot!
Tumblr media
#kagarts#trainer lyra#meganium#pokemon hgss#get ready for a bigass tag wall again HYAH#her team picks are meganium (grass/fairy + shiny!) azumarill togekiss alola ninetales gardevoir and clefable (mega evolves for fairy/steel)#terrains and high sp atk + statuses galore + her dino can cause a stronger confusion (like toxic w badly poisoned but its w/ Bad headaches)#i'll probably make changes as i go design wise for meganium but colors were inspo from sampaguita flowers#the flower's associated with true friendship and utilized in medicines or given as good gestures in various traditions and celebrations#and also bc she's 🇵🇭 babey!!!!!!!! i'm slapping all my favs w the pinoy beam and not even the dinos are safe >:]#since her dino is shiny a lot of the colors are just a few color diffs where the little orbs are + warmer tones. gotta make a ref sometime#not sure if I should tag the others bc the focus is on her. but the quartet always pulls thru for each other#i like thinking silver gets comfortable enough to be the friend that's “s'cuse you my Friend asked for No pickles”#silver in line picking up her food like “yeah yeah i know her and btw that’s CHAMPION lyra to you. YES she ordered a strawberry shake”#both of their meganiums are Best friends and silver likely uses his dino when you rematch him (and his would beee grass/dragon)#calling this piece Done though oh my god this semester has been nuts. don't wanna take any longer on a single piece or i'm eating tree bark#tumblr's gonna kill the quality on it but idgaf im Done. i need to tidy up my sheezy now

Pla bodyswap between Warden and Noble, also the gods and the clan leaders. Maybe it's a rare event that happens every few generations and now? While Akari's in Hisui? Its That time. However in the slight chaos of the rift and the angry gods this event has slipped the clan's minds somewhat.
Shenanigans ensue as humans are pokemon and pokemon are human for a couple days. Including:
Sneasler completely butchering Ingo's normal way of speaking on purpose for the lols (and maybe if she uses it so wrong Ingo'll remember some more information on why it is wrong)
Melli mourning the fact he's now an orb and that he has to ask Lord Electrode to get things for him
Arcanine having the best time out of everyone and being enthusiastic to return all of Palina's kindness
Wyrdeer and Mai vibing. Munchlax chilling on Wyrdeer's back.
Kleavor is now a tiny 12 year old
Sabi was the only one who saw this coming and is having fun being a big bird
Irida and Adaman have god like power oh no at least they're responsible

Don't know if you're taking requests, but how about Espeon? It's my favorite Pokemon :)
Tumblr media
Good news! An espeon would make a pretty great pet!
While they’re on the larger size of A rank pokémon, espeons aren’t much bigger than a large dog. Personality-wise, they’re sweethearts that have extreme loyalty to any owner that they consider worthy (Ruby/Sapphire). Now, I’m not sure how exactly espeons determine if someone is worthy or not, but I trust you, readers. I think you’re probably worthy. Only worthy people read this blog. Also, I bet treats would help.
Espeons have a strong protective instinct, and will do everything in their power to protect beloved humans (Ruby/Sapphire). This species had evolved some impressive precognitive powers specifically to protect themselves and their trainers (Ultra Sun, Ruby/Sapphire), but these powers aren’t all psychic. Espeons are covered in fine, velvety fur that is sensitive enough to read air currents and predict the actions of any perceived threats (Gold, Diamond/Pearl) or even the weather (FireRed). Their predictive abilities, based on this physical sensitivity, is said to be so advanced that espeons can even predict what their enemies are thinking (Black2/White2)! They use this power to keep the ones they care about out of harms way, which is. A huge plus. Unfortunately, it also means that they will be able to tell when you are planning to give them a bath or take them in to the vet for a check-up, so some extra coaxing might be needed.
Given their predisposition to protect humans, espeons are pretty unlikely to attack a human. This is good, since beyond their sensitive fur they do possess some pretty formidable psychic powers. Espeons built up energy in the orb on their forehead by bathing in sunshine (Ultra Moon), which they can unleash in powerful attacks (Moon). Espeons can use moves like Confusion to not only hurt targets but send them into a daze, or use other moves like Psybeam, Psychic, and Future Sight to batter enemies with telekinetic power. Espeons can also attack physically with bites and scratches, though these are not quite as dangerous. All things considered, given their protective instincts, these abilities aren’t too much to worry about so long as you have your espeon’s best interests in mind. If something does go wrong, however, you’ll be able to tell when a psychic attack is coming if the orb on their head begins to glow (Diamond/Pearl). I would strongly consider training as well, just to ensure your espeon doesn’t attack someone on the street because they assume they’re a threat to your safety.
Overall, given their loyal personalities, espeons would make great pets. So long as they are properly socialized so as to not be overly paranoid about other people in your life (and so long as you are worthy), they aren’t too much of a threat, which is an added bonus. Also, as I always much point out even though it doesn’t really impact their score: they are very cute.

Would you recommend I play explorers of sky, any tips on how best to enjoy it?
i recommend everyone plays it lol
gameplay tips, some known and some more obscure
avoid spoilers lol
store any extra reviver seeds and petrify orbs you find. you will probably need it
if you find yourself in a bind, USE ITEMS. even a sleep seed can go a long way when you toss it at an enemy
the move dig is insane against the main campaign boss
stack missions if you can! if you have more than one mission from the bulletin that takes place in the same dungeon you should do all of them at once
base stats in pokemon mainline series means nothing here. you can have a butterfree with max stats in everything (255). you can boost pokemon stats permanently with medicinal items (protein, iron, etc) and drinks from spinda’s cafe. this lack of base stat disparity is why people can clear zero isle with smoochum. also there is no base speed stat unique to each pokemon, because it’s a dungeon crawler all pokemon have equal speed unless it’s modified with movement boosting. some pokemon may have a +1 boosted movement speed by default, such as deoxys-s, shaymin-s, and dialga with time tripper IQ skill unlocked. and kecleon when you steal from a shop for some ungodly reason. some abilities may increase movement speed in different conditions like chlorophyll in sunny weather
odd floors will generate male pokemon and even floors will generate female pokemon. this might not seem significant but it can be helpful for some gender-based evolutions like getting a female snorunt or male kirlia. at 0 stage stat changes, male and genderless pokemon have a 1.5x bonus applied to a move’s base critical hit rate while at the same time decreasing their evasion rate from foe hits by about 1.03 (268/256). female pokemon have higher move accuracy by about 1.03 (268/256) and neutral evasion (256/256), but this evasion is better in comparison to male or genderless pokemon. i believe genderless pokemon can appear on either floor dont quote me on that but it will follow the male bonus regardless of it was found on an odd or even floor
turns are everything in this game. smokescreen isn’t really a good move in mainline games but it’s fuckin nuts here because it basically renders opponents unable to hit you for a few turns
i really need to link moves more but thats why theyre awesome. there are so many big brained combinations. usually a status move and then an attack but it only takes up one turn
if you eat gummis normally you get an IQ increase and Maybe stat increase, but you will always get stat increases when you make gummis into drinks at spindas cafe so you get more out of them. you can save scum at the save well for “good feeling drink” bonuses if you want. like maybe every 3rd gummi if you dont get a feel good bonus you reset, and every time you do get one you save
gummi effectiveness chart
why eat gummis? IQ skills are important and helpful in different ways. my favorites are map surveyor, stair sensor, acute sniffer, all-terrain hiker, natural gifter, deep breather, and multitalent
different pokemon families fall into different IQ groups (A-J). a group is essentially a different “kit” of IQ skills. IQ groups basically tell what kind of role they have on your team
heres the list of IQ skills in EoS. off to the side under the “group” column you can click on each IQ group for their kit and the pokemon in that group. list of pokemon in each IQ group (ctrl + F searchable)
x-ray specs are broken when you combine them with map surveyor and stair sensor IQ skills. you can also tell how many items on the floor are hidden with acute sniffer by subtracting the number visible on the map with x-ray specs from the number given by acute sniffer. they need to be worn by the team leader though.
you can collect items in walls with a one-room orb, mobile scarf (watch out for belly drain), palkia’s absolute mover, or being ghost type
speaking of the team leader there are many things that are only effective when done by the team leader, such as recruitment, so watch out for that. also you need to be on an adjacent tile to a pokemon to recruit it. if you defeat them ranged it wont work
natural gifter is busted with natural items like seeds and berries (especially with items like golden seed or sitrus berry) because the team leader also gets the boost. but if you want to spread the effect of artificial items like vitamins and gummis to your whole team, you want a team leader with the IQ skill pierce hurler equipped with lockon specs. pierce hurler is essentially a built-in pierce band which allows thrown items to penetrate through whatever is in tile line of sight before going out of bounds. lockon specs boosts the accuracy of the item coming into contact with the pokemon, so it’s better than just the pierce band because you can ensure that none of the beneficial items “miss” your teammates. go into a dungeon hallway with your team in a single file line, make sure the IQ skill pierce hurler is turned on, have your lockon specs equipped to the leader, face your team and throw vitamins or gummis. this is excellent for vitamins but i prefer doing spinda’s cafe for gummis in the long run one at a time since you get a guaranteed increase in at least one stat every time and sometimes rich bonuses like HP increase as well if youre lucky
monster houses are fuckin scary at first but easier as time goes on. when you first start seeing them you should use petrify orbs. eventually you will start seeing some room clearing moves such as blizzard, discharge, earth power. if you can get that on your side you’ll have an advantage. you should also account for movement speed. you’ll be able to attack multiple times in a row if your movement speed is boosted, whether its from a quick seed or agility. probably the best room clearing move is silver wind because it hits multiple enemies and each hit has a chance of boosting all your stats including speed. it has a low hit-rate though to balance it, but unless youre extremely unlucky youre probably going to get multiple hits across the monster house
USE TEAM TACTICS. it gives you a bit of control over how your partner pokemon move. a cleared monster house is a great example because they are usually filled with traps. maybe your team leader has trap seer IQ skill (Able to step on traps without setting off) but not your teammates. change the team’s tactics to “wait there” in the hallway outside of the monster house, go in and collect the loot, go back to the hallway and turn it back to “let’s go together”. no harm done to teammates or even yourself if youre careful. (or your items: there are sticky traps which make your items unuseable, explosion traps which damage you, your teammates, and destroy all floor items and walls around, pokemon traps which turn floor items into pokemon, sludge traps which turn edible inventory items into grimy food. so it’s always good to avoid these scenarios when you can.) another example is if your teammate gets tile warped to a different part of the floor. dont let them move unless you know they can handle themself. change their tactic to “wait there” and go find them while making sure they dont die with oran berries.
you can also control your teammate’s moves by switching them off in the menu. this comes in handy when they start using status moves for no reason. the check mark next to the name of the move means it’s switched on and the teammate will pull from whatever moves you have checked. it doesnt mean anything on the leader pokemon though
i find it more convenient to use less strong moves such as confusion instead of psychic because they tend to have higher hit rates and more PP. the reason why is that the item ginseng can permanently boost their power, but ginseng is hard to come across so i just generate wonder mail s codes for them like a chump (shoutout to the og apointlessplace.net…i remember thinking “well its not very pointless is it” and that same thought still echoes in my head). but this is optional you dont have to cheat.
i go with celebi as my leader most of the time, with ginseng’d weaker moves. i originally shaped celebi in an attempt to recruit kecleon (which i still havent had success with) since you need the fast friend IQ skill in addition to the golden mask and be at lv 100 to even get kecleon’s chances ABOVE 0% recruitment. but even without all the kecleon recruitment stuff having deep breather IQ skill + chrono veil item in bag i virtually never have to use max elixrs for myself. by making celebi prepared for kecleon i incidentally made celebi prepared for anything lol
uhh thats all i can think of also gamefaqs has great in-depth guides

[3/3] HHNFLARTAS - what's done is done
hell hath no fury like a rescue team association scorned not a fic or anything, i just ramble a lot about my pmd ocs in a digestible format that's more or less that kind of content. random yearly event for rescue teams. covers no more than like, one week of VV content
Tumblr media
[ 1 / 2 / X ]
the rescue team association #1, again
there comes a point where it gets complicated. the RTA can't let you pass just because you completed their challenges -- you could cheat to win, and that wouldn't be reliable, after all. there's a million and one technicalities to consider.
yes, keith's team saved the rescue, who came back safe and unharmed. they also secured the item at the end of the dungeon. so what gives?
you never split the team. the rescue takes priority.
but they did the rescue. does it really matter? you can't just go off of stuff like this. there's specifics to it. it's a case-by-case basis.
both parties are right, in their own way. it's not a black and white case.
..
in the RTA's defense, they aren't wrong. you've got to consider how their actions would come across out of context.
a rescue has been secured. a member has split from their team, taking the rescue with them.
they split from the team. this puts them in immediate danger. they also have the rescue with them, so they're endangering the rescue as well.
if the solo member is incapacitated, the rescue is at incredible risk. the member is also at risk.
team splits can cause multiple problems to arise at once. it may also be seen as a disagreement.
extreme measures had to be taken to ensure the remaining members completed their goal.
the usage of a flood orb is not commonplace. team inventory will not always have this item available. it cannot be considered a reliable solution to a problem.
relying entirely on one item makes you a liability. it can be considered an easy way out.
the monster house was not fully defeated, simply temporarily disposed of. if the orb failed to work, the team would not have survived.
if the rescue was there, they could have been swept up in the confusion.
their general behaviour may be seen as too immature and unreliable.
this only checks out if they're monitored during their dungeon run. the three have a lot of chemistry with eachother, and have a lot of banter together. when you're unaware of how they talk to eachother, it can be seen as constant bickering and arguing.
regardless of how seriously they take the job when it's required (since they don't really like to be tense the whole way through), they have lapses of silliness and tomfoolery. this is because the RTA is incredibly boring and hate fun.
they barely even survived. let's be honest.
this is self-explanatory.
the rescue team association #2
in the defence of keith's team, you'd have to consider the following:
a rescue has been secured. mike has split from the team, taking the rescue with him.
he split from the team, a mutual agreement between all three members. they decided that this was the best way to get the rescue to safety. mike is strong and fast enough to get the rescue out of the dungeon with his remaining energy.
mike didn't become incapacitated. and if he was close to such, he can take matters into his own hands to really save his skin, and, more importantly, the rescue.
there was no disagreement, and mike was going backwards. he wasn't taking any new paths and discovering new things/triggering events. he was simply backtracking, taking the safest routes.
the rescue plant, an undetermined pokemon of undetermined rescue knowledge, agrees that this was the best decision to make given the circumstances.
extreme measures had to be taken to ensure keith's team could complete their goal.
this is because luwel prepared for the worst. when you plan for a rescue, you already know what kind of environment to expect, so you prepare thusly; this is no different. if it were a real job, and keith's team were the only pokemon available, it would be the exact same -- luwel would prepare the very same items as he did for this adventure.
they had the flood orb, which meant it was available to them at the time. a problem was predicted, planned for, and then solved. this is how it should be.
keith's team did not rely on a singular item. instead, luwel took the time into planning out the right items to carry with them, getting a rough estimate on the dungeon size and how difficult the job would be. to say the item is the sole reason they survived is to completely undermine luwel's ability to plan ahead.
a monster house does not have to be defeated in order for either goal to be met. if a third task was to defeat a monster house, then this would apply. but this was not the case, so it does not.
the rescue would have been accounted for. keith's team will make quick decisions, but they will never forgo the rescue to make them. the rescue, had they been present in the room at the time of the orb's use, would have been given a heads-up, and the team would take the initiative to keep the rescue safe before using the orb. additionally, the rescue was not even there at the time.
keith's team communicate with eachother frequently, including having light conversation, as well as constructive discussions about eachother.
sorry that you're too unfamiliar with a good relationship to understand their dynamic. the rescue would state that despite the circumstances, they did feel that keith's team had great communication. this is a non-issue, and exists just to make the cause for failure bigger than it actually was.
there's a lot of back-and-forths. guildmaster rime is not happy with the results.
the rescue team association #3
truth be told, there's… really not a lot that the team can do about the situation. what's done is done. they can fight their case if they really wanted to, but it's just resources wasted. as far as they're aware, at least.
guildmaster rime has always been in keith's team's ballpark. hell, keith is like a son to him, he is a son to him -- keith's going to inherit his guild, for goodness sakes! how can rime be succeeded by someone who failed the master trials for no real good reason? it won't do. it just won't do. the guildmaster is typically in agreement with the RTA when it comes to grading, as a seasoned explorer himself -- but to not consider keith's case? to fault them on technicalities alone? it's not right. it isn't fucking right. he'll do something about it. or at least, try to.
as a guildmaster, rime has some form of contact with the RTA. it's a required system in order to have a guild be truly recognised in the world, and additionally mandatory for any teams to earn ranking points. he drops a line of inquiry into the guild's connection orb, but there's been no response for several days. despite his grievances with the system, rime knows better than to push.
..
the boys have already forgotten about it, for the most part. they're discouraged, but they know in their hearts what they truly are: a good team who did the right thing. keith tries to distract himself by ranting and raving about the process of getting another flood orb. luwel's been trying to distract himself by writing up varying arguments to plead their case, which isn't really a distraction at all. mike is… unbothered. he cares, but doesn't have enough faith in the system, and settles more on the idea of "we know our truth and that's that, if they can't see it that's on them". every time luwel brings up a possible counter-point, mike gives him a thwap on the head. "best to keep it to yourself," mike says. "i dunno if keith can take it".
they cross paths with team PB&J occasionally, who, against all odds, ranked in the top 100. keith would say it was a total fluke that they did, and truthfully, he's right. it pisses him off further.
..
it's been about a week. the RTA responded to rime, after sending a rotom drone or two out to survey the boys. none of them noticed. nothing really fun or exciting to report on. the drones were simply just monitoring their day-to-day, to see how they've decided to take the results. it's invasive, and certainly not something they consented to, but the RTA can do whatever they want if you more or less work for them. thankfully, they do not find luwel's musings, as he gave up before the first surveillance.
rime's call is short-lived. there's not much to say, according to the RTA. the final findings were, essentially, "agree to disagree". they'd argued that because the case wasn't black and white, a true, rightful verdict couldn't be settled on; this uncertainty meant it was safer to fail keith's team than it was to pass them.
nobody had the desire to combat the RTA of all people about the decision any further. failing due to just barely missing the mark was better than failing due to sheer ineptitude, which lead to some sort of small victory for the team in the end. at least we aren't total failures, i guess, keith would think to himself.
not that they'd expected things to go their way. they knew that by now.
..
end.

if you haven’t yet, could you review the dragonite line?
Tumblr media
I'll be upfront, I've always really liked this line, with Dragonair being one of my top ten favorite Pokemon. I think part of it is just the simplicity; there's just the right amount of real-world elements and fantasy elements, without too much detail to over-clutter things.
Dratini, for example, is just a small sea serpent, and there's not even a clear theme at this stage. However, details like the fins on its head and the white nose make it stand out enough so it's not overly generic. It also does a good job of looking enough like its evo while still being distinct due to most of the main elements being different (head fins, bump instead of horn, white nose, rounded underbelly, lighter color, etc.).
Tumblr media
Speaking of its evo, Dragonair is just straight-up beautiful. The long slender body is really elegant, and the minimalist details give it just the right amount of flavor without being overbearing. It's one of the only Pokemon in my top 10 favs that earns that spot solely through visuals alone.
The new orbs on its body are perfectly placed, and their addition makes the theme of this line clear—it's an imugi, a Korean lesser dragon that only becomes a true dragon when a jewel falls from the sky every 1000 years. In addition to the theming, these orbs are also distinctive and serve to convey the vibe of a semi-mythical animal.
In addition to this, the body has some white countershading that starts and ends at the orbs, which breaks up the main body just enough. This white is then accented by the white of its horn and the two wings on its head; another unexpected element, and another very pretty one at that. As far as I'm concerned, nothing about this design could be improved.
Tumblr media
I know some people really dislike Dragonite, but I'm going to defend it to a degree. Yes, it is much more generic than Dragonair, having lost some of its more distinctive features, and I do think that's a shame (losing the orbs makes sense because that's how imugi work, but why replace the fluffy wings with utterly generic dragon ones?). And yes, the change between it and its pre-evos is a little jarring.
HOWEVER, people tend to act like its completely detached from the rest of the line, which is just plain wrong. It still has:
The same rounded head shape
A horn
Two things on either side of the horn
A lighter-color underbelly
A smooth, curved body shape
Even thematically, the change from a serpent to a dragon ties into the imugi thing, with Dragonair obtaining the orbs and then becoming a true dragon. It's definatley not the best evolution out there in terms of memorability (it's a fairly generic dragon at this stage) or coherency, but it still makes sense as an evo.
If I were to make any tweaks to Dragonite, it would simply be to change the colors. I don't know why it suddenly becomes orange, and the change is jarring when a clear pattern was established with both of the pre-evos being blue. The line looks 200% better just by keeping the colors consistent, and you could always make the orange its shiny:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also would've kept the wings on the back but kept the feathered look of Dragonair's; its much more interesting and would've further helped with consistency. Everything else, however, I think is fine. Not as good as its pre-evos, but certainly not awful by any means.
Side note: there's a lot of talk about this line getting something in the future. In all honestly, I don't think it needs it; it's still an iconic and well-loved line with decent stats. That said, Dragonite is one of the only psuedo-legendaries that doesn't have a new form, so I guess it would be fair enough to give it something. A regional could work, maybe something that brings Dragonite in-line with Dratini and Dragonair a bit more. I could also see a split evo being a thing.
Tumblr media
Anyway, overall: Dratini and Dragonair are the perfect blend of mystical and normal attributes, and are quite beautiful all around. Dragonite is also good, but more generic and suffering a bit from some strange color choices. As a whole, however, this line is pretty fantastic.

✨SHINY✨ POLL: Which eeveelution has the best shiny?
See the original colors here! Pokedex entries and the idea for each shiny below the poll!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pokedex Entries/ Shiny Explanations:
---
Aveon 🪽
🌈: AVEON's ears can detect precise sounds from far away. When it detects prey, such as WINGULL, it will leap straight through clouds to pounce mid-air.
👽: AVEON's large feathered ears and tail allow it to soar on the sky. Padded paws allow it to land safely no matter the height.
✨: Shiny inspired by foxes (original is arctic fox-inspired).
---
Bansheeon 👻
🌈: BANSHEEON's haunting cry can give anyone chills. Though it can place powerful curses, it prefers to play tricks and startle people.
👽: When EEVEE pushed itself past its limits, it gained power beyond material reality and became BANSHEEON. It is said that its cry can signal imminent death.
✨: Shiny inspired by Boo Berry cereal (original is halloween colors).
---
Bludgeeon 🪨
🌈: BLUDGEEON punches its powerful tail straight into the earth, pulling up large stones. It uses these stones as hammers, shields, and projectiles. It grows frustrated if a problem cannot be solved in this way.
👽: It is speculated that BLUDGEEON was an ancient form of EEVEE before technology allowed the form to resurface. Living closely with humans may have encouraged them to become more gentle and adaptable over time.
✨: Shiny inspired by the Flintstones family pet, a dog-like dinosaur named Dino who is pink with black spots (original is inspired by Fred Flintstone).
---
Drakeon 🐉
🌈: Because its purr can soothe dragons, it is a good starting Pokemon for aspiring dragon tamers. It loves to collect shiny things regardless of worth, treating discarded soda cans equally to gold.
👽: DRAKEON is the largest of all eeveelutions, having tapped into a boundless draconic energy. They are highly intelligent creatures - some are famous for solving math problems in exchange for treats.
✨: Red dragons are cool.
---
Dusteon 🐇
🌈: DUSTEON burrows at alarming speeds through the ground, sensing the position of creatures above with powerful hearing. Its powerful kicks can cause huge dust clouds, blinding opponents.
👽: DUSTEON is an exceptionally tricky fighter, kicking up a huge dust devil and finishing off foes before they can see what happened. If it is not confident in a match, it burrows away at high speeds.
✨: Shiny inspired by stardust, specifically referenced the Pokemon Go colors for it.
---
Guardeon ✊
🌈: The means to evolve EEVEE into GUARDEON were discovered in the journal of an ancient aura guardian. They are fiercely loyal to their trainer, protecting them from any ill intent they sense.
👽: They can sense any creature's approach, no matter how stealthy. In battle, they use their silky scarf-like appendages to strike at a distance or bind their foe.
✨: Shiny swaps red and blue, referencing Sylveon's shiny.
---
Lanteon 🦋
🌈: LANTEON shrinks upon evolution, becoming even smaller than EEVEE! It detaches glowing orbs from its mane, which it uses to lure prey or distract foes. LANTEON loves frolicking in moonlight.
👽: LANTEON's glowing tail can be dimmed or brightened at will. They can communicate at long distances using light signals. Those startling LANTEON find themselves blinded while it escapes.
✨: Shiny inspired by fireflies (original inspired by luna moths).
---
Mutateon 🧬
🌈: MUTATEON was created when EEVEE was exposed to a chemical called MUTAGEN E - formed from the DNA of Eevee, Umbreon, Espeon, Flareon, Drakeon, Lanteon, and Human. Ruthlessly intelligent hunters, MUTATEON adapts its venom to be more effective against its current target.
👽: MUTATEON's unstable genetic makeup allows it to alter its physiology to hunt any target. Borrowing the adaptability of EEVEE with mutations mimicking its many evolutions, it was designed to thrive in any environment. A trainer should never underestimate their MUTATEON's intelligence.
✨: Shiny inspired by Espeon's shiny (Original is a blend of shiny Umbreon and normal Espeon). I think this shiny glows in the dark.
---
Titaneon 🤖
🌈: EEVEE became TITANEON after being enhanced with reverse-engineered alien technology. With unstoppable armor and impossibly sharp blades, it is known for taking down powerful threats such as TYRANITAR to defend its home.
👽: TITANEON moves with calculated precision. It has access to tremendous firepower, but even greater restraint. It fires energy beams only when it is certain to hit its intended target.
✨: Shiny inspired by the blue Ultras from the Ultraman series with a 'depleted' red color timer (Original is inspired by Ultraseven with a 'full' color timer).

Very beautiful! Very Powerful!
Thought I’d make one of these pined post things to introduce myself.
My name is Solanum, but you can call me Sol or Lump (or Sol Badthey if you’re epic)
I’m a 24 year old ginger, use it/she/they/anything non-male, demiromantic, exist in an asexual quantum superposition, and am bi/pan. Most importantly, I am also a fish
I have a degree in Physics with plans to go into a PhD program for research Astronomy. My area of focus is galaxy structure, formation, and evolution. I’m currently working on my first research papers, adapting my undergraduate thesis work into proper astronomy journal form. I love doing physics and take requests for calculations, stupid or serious (check “#lump’s calculations” for those I’ve done so far, these are my best posts by far).
I try to keep fully nsfw stuff off this blog, but mild nsfw is to be expected, so minors beware
Outside of research, work, and classes I can usually be found gaming, playing MTG, or putting way too much effort into my shitposts while watching something on my second monitor.
I can be found on a few other sites under the same username but am only active here, and if any mutuals want to connect on discord or steam dm me
If you take one thing away from reading this it’s GO PLAY OUTER WILDS RIGHT NOW. Do not look up anything about it, just play the game and then get your friends to play it. Then we can all talk about it. Please, I need to talk about this masterpiece with more people.
Now that you’ve learned about me I have gained access to your walls. Don’t worry, all I do is nibble a bit of drywall from time to time.
Too many fun facts below
My personal motto is: “The universe is scary and so much bigger than any of us can comprehend, so it’s our duty to fag it up as much as possible”
My plushies names: -Tofrug: Lord Squishers -Manatee: Weapon of Lettuce Destruction -Reimu Fumo: Air Fried Bastard -Hydreigon: Hans -Vaporeon: Dihydrogen Monoxide Puppy -Meowscarada: Greenfield -Reshiram: Nuclear Mommy -Gardevior: Horizon -Blåhaj: Jimbei -Gobbo Bard: Ga Bu
I love nature, and evergreen forests in particular. I enjoy hiking and mushroom and berry picking.
My most proud find is this massive cluster of morels I came across a couple years back.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s an overabundance of my personal top 3′s, not necessarily the three I think are best (except Outer Wilds, that’s best thing humanity has produced). Games: Outer Wilds, FFXIV, Ori and the Will of the Wisps Manga: One Piece, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Dungeon Meshi Books: Red Rising, Percy Jackson, A Song of Ice and Fire Movies: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Secret of Kells, Hundreds of Beavers Shows: Orb: On the Movements of the Earth, Mob Psycho 100, Ya Boy Kongming! pokemon scarlet and violet vgc regulation h is wild. an alola fire/water/grass core (incineroar, primarina, h-decidueye) is usable.
incineroar does incineroar things (intimidate, fake out pressure, bulky pivot, can spread burn, removes items, has helping hand, just an all-around support).
primarina can counter opposing incin and dondozo with haze, has helping hand to support teammates, and has good special defense and special attack (it can live fully invested life orb ursaluna-bloodmoon bloodmoon and with max spa and liquid voice boosted hyper voice, it can ohko max hp 4 spd ursa).
h-decidueye ignores intimidate and has a signature move with increased crit rate, making it a budget urshifu. scrappy means it could hit ghosts and is can 2hko dragapult and bulky gholdengo. its speed holds it back a bit, but speed control fixes that. it gets tailwind (though it’s probably best to have a teammate set it). it gets grass pledge, which when used with water pledge (prima gets water pledge), halves the opponent’s speed for four turns. you could also kill all its speed and use trick room if wanted.

hello hello! ran into your aus and blog while going thru the steven stone tag after my pokemon fixation reignited and anyways, if i may ask for it but random info about the lapis au? :>
Anon thank you for the ask! Hell yeah i can talk about the Lapis au, i keep not making a tumblr post about it.
It's premise is that thanks to Hoopa a Wallace (Lapis) from a pretty doomed Sapphire (rse verse, gen 3 rules) gets thrown into Alpha Sapphire and he tries to figure out what the hell happened to him.
I take some liberties about canon so while Rayquaza is indeed a thing it just never shows up to help in Lapis' timeline so theres no easy way to stop Kyogre. Can't even summon Groudon since the Red orb's at the bottom of the ocean. Lapis and his Steven try to send Kyogre to sleep with the Blue orb since that should work but uh. Lets say it didn't go very well.
Don't worry about Lapis' Steven he's fine :))
Anyway, Lapis ends up in Alpha Sapphire and has no clue what he's doing. He thinks he's back in time but people keep mistaking him for the present Wallace, including a niece??? Lapis doesn't have a niece?? Also what's Mega Evolution?
Lapis decides since he has to try and stop Kyogre from awakening he may as well infiltrate Team Aqua (but has he missed something? This Archie guy looks nothing like the man he saw in his time), he doesn't expect some mysterious woman to be there also, he doesn't trust Zinnia and she doesn't trust him either.
All in all Lapis does his best and causes minor chaos from a) looking almost identical to Wallace and b) the crimes he's commiting. And for fun Lapis and his Steven were dating for a while before everything went wrong but the Oras versions? Not dating yet for some reason? Lapis should try and fix that.

What if the Paldea gym leaders level scaled?
I absolutely love the open world of Pokemon SV, but I don't like how the fixed levels of all the gym leaders, team star bosses, and titans means there still is an intended order like in the old linear games. So what if the gym leaders could be fought in any order and their teams would adjust to match the order you choose to challenge them in? I think the fairest way to do it is the leader's teams will be based on how many badges you have. So of you challenge Katy first her team will be relatively easy, but of you challenge her last, her team will be way better. I'm going to see if I can figure out what would be a good and challenging team composition for each gym leader no matter when you opt to challenge them.
In most games, the number of team members a gym leader has gradually increases as you move through them. I'll have the number of team members each leader has increase with the number of badges the player has. I'll have the 1st and 2nd leaders with 3 members, 3rd, 4th, and 5th with 4, and 6th-8th with 5 members. I will only use Pokemon available in base SV for this. Assume gym leader Pokemon will evolve at the appropriate levels
Katy is not the best showing of a bug specialist due to her choice of team and the general flaws of low-level bugs. I'm going to give her an upgrade. For her 1st leader team, I'm going to start by taking a page from Viola's book and give her a Surskit to keep the player from sweeping with a fire type and intimidate Masquerain is pretty good. Then, I'll give her Pineco to set up hazards on higher level teams and counter the bug-type's frailty. For her tera mon I guess Teddiursa works for the connection between bears and bugs. Plus on higher-level teams, Guts Ursaring with a flame orb hits hard and the line can learn fury cutter and gets decent coverage options. for her 3rd, 4th, and 5th leader teams I'll add Lokix to showcase a powerful Paldea bug. Finally, for her 6th-8th leader teams, she will get the generally excellent Heracross for a final team of intimidate Masquerain, Forretress, Lokix, Heracross, and guts Ursaring with a flame orb. For post-game rematches she can get Volcarona added to her roster.
Brassius's 1st leader team will have Capsakid to help counter bugs with fire moves and Deerling to use STAB normal moves to hit most types for neutral damage, plus jump kick for coverage and horn leech for recovery at higher levels. As for his tera mon, grass Sudowoodo is too perfect not to use so it stays. For his 3rd - 5th leader teams he will add Foongus for utility, poison, and Spore at higher levels. His final team member will be Arboliva to set up grassy terrain and help with a recovery-heavy fighting style. His final team will be Scovillain, Sawsbuck, Amoongus, Arboliva, and Sudowoodo. In post-game rematches he can add Rotom Mow.
Iono is one of the harder gym leaders, so she doesn't need much of an upgrade. Her first leader team will be Wattrel to dodge ground moves and Tadbulb for a defensive member. I love levitate Mismagius as her tera mon, so that can stay (though it may have to be a Misdreavus for early challenges). Starting at 3rd leader she will add Electrode to outspeed just about anything and explode if needed. Then her final member will be Magnezone, for being a generally amazing Pokemon. Her final team will be Kilowattrel, Bellibolt, Electrode, Magnezone, and Mismagius. Her rematch team can add Rotom Wash.
Kofu's team is a letdown following Iono, so I'm going to completely revamp him. He can start with Veluza (good in the early game and its filet away fits his chef theme) and Shellos to help counter electric types. His tera mon is going to be Pincurchin. Hear me out. It gets volt absorb to shut down electric types and can learn poison jab to counter grass types and even reversal to punch through steel. Plus, people do eat sea urchins and Kofu is a chef. His next team member will be aqua-breed Tauros, to showcase a new regional form. Finally, he can have Toxapex for toxic stalling for a final team of Veluza, Gastrodon, aqua Tauros, Toxapex, and Pincurchin. His rematch team can add Dondozo and maybe be a double battle that switches out Veluza for Tatsugiri to set up their gimmick.
Larry is one of the most memetic Pokemon characters but his team stinks. I'll start by giving him Tandemaus for multi-hit loaded dice shenanigans and Dunsparce for glare, ground coverage, and its evolution. For his tera mon, I do think the Starly line is a good choice for tying together his gym leader and E4 teams, it just needs a way better moveset. Next he will get Chansey for stalling and utility. His final member will be Oranguru to help counter fighting and because I think Larry would really empathize with it. His final team is Maushold, Dudunsparce, Blissey, Oranguru, and Staraptor. In the post-game he can add Slaking to that.
Ryme's team is pretty cool, so I don't need to change much. As the first leader she will have Mimikyu for disguise and fairy coverage, and Greavard as a new mon and general attacker. I do like Toxtricity as her tera mon for fitting her musician vibe and being able to dish out hyper voices and boombursts without hurting its partner. That being said, because Toxel's stats are abysmal even for baby Pokemon, maybe until Toxel evolves she can use an uproaring Squawkabilly to serve the same purpose. Her next team member can be Spiritomb (which isn't that powerful anymore since fairy is a thing now). Finally, she can have Gengar as a general ghost staple. Her final team will be Mimikyu, Houndstone (which should come out 2nd to last to take advantage of last respects), Spiritomb, Gengar, and Toxtricity. For the post-game she can have Dragapult.
Tulip utterly fails to uphold Sabrina's legacy as a powerhouse psychic-type leader. Let's fix that. Her first leader team will have Girafarig to counter ghosts and pure power Meditite to counter dark and represent her friendship with Dendra. For her tera mon, I kind of want to go with Tinkatink since that line has some great coverage to counter psychic's many weaknesses. Next she can get Flittle-Espathra and take a page from canon Geeta's book by having it be her lead and copying the player's setup with opportunist. Finally, she can get Bronzong to counter psychic's frail defenses with a steel-type. Plus Bronzor being a mirror fits Tulip being a model. Her final leader team (she actually was the final leader I fought in my first playthrough since I couldn't figure out how to get to her city) will be opportunist Espathra, Farigiraf, pure power Medicham, Bronzong, and Tinkaton. In the post-game she can get Gardevoir
Finally, we reach Grusha and Ice is a tricky one to make a good team for. I'm going to make his first leader team Sneasel for speed and coverage and Cetoddle as a bulky monster. His tera mon is tricky because nothing benefits from becoming ice type, but I'll give him Shellder because shell smash Cloyster is an absolute beast and has the physical bulk and water moves to maybe survive ice's weaknesses and fight back. Yes I know Cloyster is already ice-type but I gotta give him something good. Next he can have Crabominable to counter steel and rock. His final member will be Froslass to counter fighting. His final leader team will therefore be Weavile, Cetitan, Crabominable, Froslass, and Cloyster. In the post-game he can add Baxcalibur.
While this isn't a E4 post, I do want to mention a few fixes I'd make. Rika should lead Hippowdon to set up sandstorm (instead of waiting for a very frail Dugtrio to do it) and Toedscruel to counter water and use spore. I think Poppy is fine, but maybe a Klefki for prankster setup could be good. Larry needs to ditch Tropius and get almost anything else, maybe Noivern to counter electric. Hassel is fine, I just think his team could use some better strategy. However, I do have thoughts about fixing Geeta. I know she's not that impressive because Nemona is the real final boss of the victory road storyline, but they didn't have to do her that dirty. Therefore, I want to see how nuts I can go with her.
First of all, Glimmora is going first to set up toxic spikes. Maybe give it stone edge to double up on the hazard setting and a focus sash to ensure it gets at least two layers of toxic spikes up. Kingambit will be sent out last to take full advantage of supreme overlord. From there I think giving her a Cyclizar to mirror the player's raidon and set up shed tail shenanigans would be nice. I also think she should have a Goldengho since nobody else does and it would confirm to the player that there is a reason to go after all those coins. You may have noticed this team has a severe ground weakness and to counter that I'm giving her a Palafin who will flip turn out as soon as it shows up to set up zero to hero. For a final team member I think Annihilape is another powerhouse option. This leaves her team as Glimmora, Goldengho, Cyclizar, Palafin, Annihilape, and Kingambit. This also means her team is all Paldean mons, which I think is fitting as the champion is the representative of their region.
