Listen… Jimmy may be overconfident, especially when it comes to his seduction skills

Speaking of being overprotective: He deals with a lot of shady people, so he’s very careful with who he chooses to trust when it comes to talking his love to you.

Ofc he’s scared for his own safety too, but pretty much puts it aside to make sure you’re safe first off. 

If danger comes up, he’d make sure to find somewhere safe for you to stay whilst he deals with it.

He would go so far as hiring a bodyguard for you tbh.

He has learnt that he can be vulnerable with you and not get judged, which he appreciates.

That’s why he loves coming home to you after a long day and simply resting in your arms.

He prefers being the little spoon - to feel protected and loved by you. <3

To summarize: It might take him a while to put the pieces together and actually confess his feelings for you - but once he does he spends every day letting you know how much you mean to him.

Omgggg so I was waiting to answer this ask because I wanted to maybe come up with a phone guy design (which I absolutely will now that I’m better at drawing men— shoutout to William and Henry for helping me learn tbh…)- but I don’t have one yet! I’m feelin sorta not the best physically today so I’m like hmmmm. I don’t feel like drawing right now BUT I saw this ask again and I wanna think about it because I LOVE designing how I think characters look in my head. Big part of why I took to the human characters of this franchise so much lmaooo

I FEEL LIKE phone guy is likely a middle-aged guy, or at least in his early to mid thirties or somethingggg. I’m just picturing that. Idk!! I do enjoy the idea of him starting as a server or something at Freddy’s when he was a teenager, but just stuck with the company since because he seems to know his stuff really well. Like, he’s been the manager for awhile or something. I also have seen people use the name Scott for him- I’ve been told that’s a fandom classic, which makes sense haha- and I like that name!

I feel like ‘Scott’ (guess I’ll just call him that now) is a pretty cool manager, he just gives off those vibes. Like he’s probably a little awkward but damn does he try his best. Like, employees aren’t intimidated by him or anything, they actually get along pretty well with the guy even tho he’s the manager lmaooo!! And working with the manager can be intimidating.

I GOTTA WONDER what this poor guy was going through during the whole MCI thing. Oh my godddd!!! Interesting stuff! See I imagine that William is the type of boss that can be very intimidating if he wants to be, but he is also extremelyyyy good at being charming. This one is based on this meme that’s kinda poking fun at the art styles commonly found in yaoi with the last one being left blank for putting whatever you like there and implying in a comedic way that it’s ‘straight man yaoi’, I’ve seen ones with things like football players or idk Breaking Bad put there lol. Basically I saw the meme and realized that all the different styles kinda lined up too well with some Simon designs and well yeah this happened 💀💀💀. So we got Ayami Kojima’s design as “straight woman yaoi”, the NES cover art/X68000 as “gay man yaoi”, Simon’s Quest as “lesbian yaoi”, and Captain N thrown into “straight man yaoi” lmaooo.

I've got a few underrated/underused characters that I looove, most of them which this side of the fandom tends to dislike I'm afraid vjfnbjgnb. I'm a sucker for Peter and then I love the versions of Edmund (Avery Jr), Aurora, Charity and Igor that I've done vjnfbjgb. They do exist just a bit in my head tho I'm gonna be honest. I'd love to do a seabunny (Igor/Charity) fic someday cause I just love them!!! I also just love writing Aurora but idk if she'll ever end up in a fic of mine, she just doesn't mingle with the characters I usually write.

I don't know what to say about Aurora, there's so much. I love her,, my lovely autistic lady. Her special interest is telescopes even though she knows a tonne about stars as well. She loves cats, she's an only child (if you don't count the cat her parents essentially treat like a second child), she's Muslim, she's half Egyptian on her dad's side and half Sierra Leonean on her mum's side!! She makes pros and cons lists before doing anything, she's blunt, she loves deeply!!! She's besties with Charity and Wilhelm (though the latter is just,, it's complicated and one-sided and oh that man 110% haunts her). I enjoy starrynight (Aurora/Severus) a surprising amount but this is 100% a pansexual woman who'd be open to anyone. There's just something about these two and their parallel play kind of dates and their understanding of each other fjnvjfnbjg

Peter!!! I'm still not over the thought of suburban dad Peter with a wife who finds the rest of the marauders endearing but incredibly annoying. Peter who drives a sky blue Prius when he takes his son to soccer practice and his daughter to ballet like??? I love it. He's half Danish on his mum's side and half British on his dad's side. One of his favourite things to do when meeting new people is trying to get them to pronounce Danish words. He slept with a stuffed animal for many years. Not just on his own but also with like seabunny!!! Like where on the scale of shitty person was he in the beginning of the war vs after he spent more time with Charity who was eager to share all her muggle knowledge etc. They died within a year of each other!!! Also!!! With how isolated Durmstrang is I have this headcanon that Igor's afraid of birds. When I say it like that it makes no sense but!! In the wizarding world owls are the main way to communicate so if you can't use an owl for whatever reason it can be quite isolating and thus it all works with how he's managed to isolate the school vfjnbjgnbjgn can you tell I think about this in like a super deep way? He's the youngest in the family and the only boy with three sisters. He was a mama's boy and he used to sneak down creaky stairs to crawl into her bed. He's incredibly nonchalant when it comes to most things. I think he spent his last year at Hogwarts on an exchange program since it's alluded that he's got some sort of memory at Hogwarts and I doubt it's from his time as headmaster.

oh this whole "this man is dirty and never showers/ changes his underwear" thing doesn't just apply to Matty. It's seemingly a go-to thing I've witnessed in a lot of fandoms (and beyond) - mostly used by fangirls who are upset with a guy they used to like/ find handsome. ("He got fat"/ "he has no muscles" is also popular) They will also comment on the dudes' behavior and use words like "icky/ toxic/ abusive" etc. (but never elaborate/ cite proof) They're so upset they're going out of their way to depict the person as totally disgusting/ unacceptable in order to shame others who are a fan. They will overanalyze every unflattering picture and either lie about good ones or fully ignore them. They will make disparaging comments about these men wearing "ugly clothes" and being "too poor" to buy good clothes. It's never really true of course. I really hate it because it's a weird form of bodyshaming men and very shallow in general.

Yeah see my thing about this is that I have always found Matty attractive, smart, kind, charming etc. like we all know his ✨glow up✨ is a very recent thing. Especially the muscles and stuff. He used to be skinny and wear baby tees (🥹💗💗💗) and stuff. And we all still loved him and thirsted over him just the same. Which is why I really don’t think it’s about the looks or whatever. And I deeply disagree with criticism of fan culture that claims fans objectify or sexualize the celebrity or person that they are a fan of. It’s really not that shallow. It’s never been about those kinds of attributes to most of us. He could shrink down or balloon up or do whatever he wanted with his body or hair or whatever and we’d still love him (evidence: mustache haters lmaooo)

HOWEVER, even though I don’t buy those critiques of him, I’m a human being and I know I stand in front of the mirror and scrutinize my own looks and body most days. Neji comes to mind because he's the same if his pup makes any noise or movement. He immediately cracks open an eye like 'is my pup being kidnapped??'. He will be very happy if you do the same, it makes him feel safe and like he can trust you to look after your pup like he does.

L wouldn't care at all, if you somehow through some miracle managed to make him agree to go camping XD He's up all night on his laptop working anyway, he just blinks at you in the dark everytime you wake up, which is probably a bit unnerving lol,

Simeon would find it endearing and wouldn't mind even if you woke him up everytime as well. He would ask if you were having trouble sleeping and offer to hold his hands over your ears to help keep you from being disturbed. He is new to the idea of camping, but he wants you to enjoy it as much as possible, even at his own expense.

can i ask about your writing process? i’m just curious like how do u go from thoughts to outline to drafting to posting? how long do u work on something before posting? do u have a beta? i feel like your word choice is so intentional and distinct and that’s pretty unique to your writing style :)

!!!! first off: thank you so much 🧡🧡 my writing style is definitely a product of being inspired by writers who love to take the time building scenes that you can really see and feel, as well as just being ridiculously in love with tiny details!

but also: i'm really bad with words+at picturing things in my head at first lmaooo it takes a lot of work to get to the final version and my writing process is honestly a mess, but usually goes like:

generalized bare bones plot -> conversational 5+1 fic format outline -> shitty first draft -> second draft to begin ""stage blocking"" -> drafts 3-500: wordsmithing until my fingers and brain hurt -> final review and then post :)

i call myself a slow writer but really i'm just a slooowww editor bc of the wordsmithing part lol

since the summer i've really allowed myself to indulge in my writing style, so not only are things longer+take more time to edit (mallrat chpt 1 is like 5.3k words vs chpt 5 at 16.8k lmfao), but i also do in fact try to be really intentional with my words and descriptions. it's a huge compliment that you think the same, bc it's a fun/painful part of writing that is damn near heavenly when i'm finally satisfied with how i write smth 🧡

but my biggest bestest writing aid? naps lol <3

(a v lengthy, more detailed process stages explanations under the cut, if interested!)

generalized bare bones plot: i'm actually v big on starting with basic plots/concepts and then, if needed, molding the idea to fit specific characters. some are obv specially built (hmlyd!), but being primarily plot-focused inspires me to just write vs worrying abt getting everything on brand/in character right away

conversational 5+1 fic format outline: i enjoy writing fanfic basically the same way i like interacting with fandom, so how i write my tumblr posts+tags are generally how i begin my outlines! they're basically lighthearted conversations with myself lol it's like my version of rubber duck debugging? but doing it this way and in a 5+1 format forces me to figure out the major plot points bc otherwise i will 100% lose the plot lol

shitty first draft: and it's shitty ofc! helps me decide how to lay the scene/chapter out as well as the overall emotions i want characters to feel. writing a first draft is fairly easy bc it still follows the outline's conversational nature to an extent, but also the words are bad and basic and repetitive and there's more [bolded brackets] than actual content, bc i use them as reminders to fix things/find better words later so to not break my focus

stage blocking second draft: i didn't realize this until it was pointed out to me recently, but i will do a terrible imitation of stage blocking in the second draft. obsessed with details = having /very vivid/ imagery in mind when i'm writing a scene, and so i try to do a first pass in describing everything as best i can here! i also tend to act out certain motions/facial expressions until i can figure out how to describe them lol

still lots of brackets and bad/repetitive words, but getting there!

wordsmithing drafts: jk not getting there <3 this is where all the emotions and actions and etc get attacked until i've properly obsessed over every word and description lol

this is a stage that's become more and more involved as i indulge myself with my writing style tbh. sometimes it goes extremely easy! sometimes it's very painful!!!! hmlyd took a combined seven drafts between the two chpts before posting. mallrat chpt 5 took 26 🙃

i keep an extra word doc on hand to catch any lines/dialogue/etc that i decided to change or remove altogether, just in case they can be used again later, or to replace any of the edited stuff if i like the original wording more!

(or. even to be used in other fics. i've taken lines that were originally meant for hmlyd and put them into mallrat lmaoo)

final review: i use scrivener to write in bc it nicely groups things together in one place (example below), but i do a final review in word to find any grammar mistakes and still-too repetitive words. i use word as my final attempt to be a bit more creative/deliberate with the words i choose lol

BnHA Chapter 278: MOMO IN CHARGE

Previously on BnHA: Deku and Kacchan were all “SIR, THAT’S OUR EMOTIONAL SUPPORT SENSEI” and got really ferocious and made a very passionate attempt to blow Tomura up and it was great. It basically did nothing, but it was still great. AFO was all “COME HERE LIL BRO”, and Tomura was all “silly Sensei, you can’t just take over my mind and body just like that”, and he was very confident of this despite there really being no evidence to back it up, but okay! Gran was all “time to make the fandom mad at me” and grabbed Tomura by the collar and yelled at him about Nana a bit, and then Bakugou and Endeavor made an even MORE passionate attempt to blow up Tomura, which may or may not have done some actual damage. The chapter ended with Gigantomachia battling Mt. Lady, just kinda out of the blue, which is FINE, but she had better be all right, though!

Today on BnHA: Everyone is all “WAUGHH IT’S GIGANTOMACHIA” and running around freaking out about it. The U.A. alums all kick some ass, and pretty much everyone else not from U.A. does jack fucking shit. Mt. Lady, who I plan on naming all of my future children after, does her best to stop Machia but he keeps flinging her aside. Kamui Woods is all “here I come with Midnight to put Gigantomachia to sleep!” and is PROMPTLY FUCKING MURDERED!? by Dabi because he’s a flammable tree man, and so Midnight falls all the way to the ground and is badly injured. So then she’s all “well I better call the most competent person I can think of to fix this mess” and dials up YAOYOROZU FUCKING MOMO, who proceeds to take charge LIKE THE BOSS SHE IS, and mobilizes the rest of the kids. And honestly I have more faith in them than in any of the adults at this point, so yeah, you know what? Let’s do this.

so I am possibly a bit spoiled on this chapter because I did a “top five predictions” post earlier this week, and someone replied to that yesterday on Thursday saying that they were mostly correct. I don’t know exactly how close to the mark I was though, and in any case most of the predictions were just “so-and-so shows up, probably”, so it’s not too bad. we’ll see how it goes!

disclaimer I don’t write hc or stories or prompts for any fandom but this has been on my mIND for several months and i just gotta gET IT oUT-

these hcs are based on the movies and not the book mostly

pat’s mom is vietnamese and was an immigrant, his dad is reg yt

his dad actually served in the military during the vietnam war and was stationed there. he eventually met pat’s mom and they had a relationship

long story short, his dad brought pat’s mom to america before american troops left saigon

they married in america and lived in a few bases while pat’s mom got her green card and learned english over time

pat’s dad is originally from maine but not derry, eventually the couple moved to derry after his dad became ex military

pat’s mom became fluent in english at this point but she had an accent which people in town made fun of her for 

also were at times racist against her

but dad put a stop to that when he was around or when she brought it up to him

they do like the small town life, prefer it better than being in the big cities or on a military base for sure

soon pat was born and pat’s mom became a stay at home mom most of his childhood, only when he was in middle school to high school did she get a part time job at the library

dad works as a clerk at an office

NOW FOR THEIR PERSONALITIESS

pat’s dad is more calm and laid back although friendly, is a more open minded individual, can actually speak vietnamese!, he doesn’t speak about his military time except if it has something to do with his wife like a memory or smth

pat’s mom is the more extroverted one but not wildly so ambivert maybe?

is DEF the one that will say her opinion if she disagrees with something tho whereas dad will let it pass but she doesn’t express it in an aggressive way (kinda like “i dont agree with that because such and such”)

has no problem chastising pat on chores i.e. washing dishes, laundry, cleaning his room/the house in general lol its kinda funny to see her telling him to do something and he does it with a scowl on his face every time

there are times where she is a bit hard on him, it’s mostly due to how she was raised since in viet culture, a lot of pressure is put on first born sons esp

she does feel bad at times for that though and lays off for awhile

this is also due to avery’s death

since avery died and pat is now their only son, both mom and dad let pat get away with ALOT OF STUFF more than he should esp when it comes to school problems they just feel guilty

and yep u guessed it he takes advantage of that we’re not surprised here

but they are loving parents much to pat’s annoyance lol 

pat’s mom conceals her viet accent in public tho, due to comments ppl in town have made about it 

but at home she doesn’t care to keep it up

she tried to teach pat viet, still hoping he becomes fluent at some point lmao but thats a pipe dream and she kinda knows it loool

she talked to pat in viet when he was a baby, and to this day he understands what she says in viet but he just responds in english (cant write viet either)

its cuz he’s lazy and doesn’t see a point in learning it its for the culture u bastard omfg

VERY RARELY he will reply ONE WORD to his mom in viet (like she asked to pass her the salt or some shit and he says “yeah here” or smth) and she smiles every time he rolls his eyes

if she has trouble understanding something, his dad will translate in vietnamese for her 

yes she makes viet food including pho but she has to replace trad ingredients for whatever replacement she can find at the store

pat’s mom was originally catholic, his dad wasn’t but they all go to church together so pat was raised catholic (i think it mentions in the book that he is but idk and am too lazy to look it up again ealfvneakv)

he’s baptized, received first communion and is confirmed and yes there are pictures of it in his house lmaooo but he’d rather die then talk about it so not even the bowers gang know about it

his parents love him obv cuz they good parents

he’s rather annoyed by their existence and its not overly friendly nor overly mean to them

they’re just kinda... there.. at times to him

like roommates lol its sad but they dont realize his true feelings obv

however he doesn’t like it when ppl in town make racist comments about his mom or his dad being married to her and death glares at any person that makes a comment

its more along the lines of “i can cause my parents discomfort but not YOU” type of thing tho dsvdjfvfj he’s not a noble person

both his parents try to blend viet and american culture in their household

they like the other bowers gang bois and are very nice to them, they give them advice when needed, they usually leave the bois alone tho if they are hanging out at pat’s place while they’re there

they also tell the story of how they met and left vietnam together and got married every anniversary to pat and he feels like his soul is being ripped out of his skin every time alskvnarlab he doesn’t care AT ALL

OOHH this is a good one omg, I don't think I've answered this either!!! Bovine: Aaa okay so, me and Canine were dating a person, and THAT person started dating Bovine, and so they introduced us and for like the first year it was just like "hi bye" and never really talked. THEN I made a BTD discord server and he joined, and we started talking like.. a lot more. And started dating!!! And tada now we live together <3 !!!!! Canine: OOF okay so, back in high school I joined this chat site that my friend recommended. So On the chat site, you could join like a .com / ChatName! And we would keep joining the same chat, but then I finally made my own! Well I never used mine cause no one joined it lmao BUT One day I went into it, and within like a second someone joined. SO on this site, there was like... picture like a map of a GALAXY? each chat would be listed, and would be BIGGER in size if there was more people. So my little chat was tiny, with just me in it. This person had happened to click on my little chat and joined it and talked to me. That person.... Was, uh... Idk what to call him LMAO but he wasn't Canine!!!! But he was Canine's cousin!!! Then after talking to him for a while, he introduced me to Canine, and then we were talking a LOT, and eventually got together We lived together for like NINE YEARS and we're stil ltogether, I just live far away with Bovine now SOBS I miss Canine so much TwT Corvidae: AAAA such a good story okay so We were like very casual mutuals for a while, a few months if not like a year??? And we started like, sending asks to each other every so often!
