The lark headcanons! (Part one)

I have a lot of silly headcanons on mind. Maybe this will be a HUGE post but I need to get this out of my mind.

Ofc this will be have a lot of colentine and imaginative scenarios

Perrine

(not a real) owner of the house. Always have control on the other ones ("Kingsley don't eat that you're gonna get sick")

Cozy room. The larks always enjoy having time on there.

Have in exhibition their own skull collection (and loves when someone wants to know more about)

HUGE WINDOW that have views to the forest

All of their decorations have brownish tones

Have a secretly spot with portraits of the others (specially Kingsley) (a/n: this is in the most fraternal way posible)

Kitchen owner (with Cole) and loves to cook btw

Confident of clemm, they usually have sleepovers (when clémmie aren't with Cole)

Silent. Doesn't speak to much

Sometimes even forget their voice

Have a hum language and the lark (surprisingly) understand them

Okay so, gather up everyone. Schools started, I suddenly have to study and memorize two latin texts within a few days, history, and ancient Greek philosophy analyses and translations. Not fun, kinda! I don't have as much time as I did during summer and I can't finish a full drawing within a day. *But* ideas are as vivid as ever. And honestly I really want to do some of the stuff I'm imagining. Some are already in the works !!! These are mostly gabbro/time buddies related. Sorry fans of other characters but I spent the entire summer only drawing slate </3

Sooo... What to expect from me? Well:

• I'm writing a short fic! Which is close to being done- Without saying much- a replay of certain memories before the eventual death/creation of everything.

• I am currently doing an OC piece with two owlks ::D this should probably be next post if I finish it soon!

• More short animatics. Cus I have... So many songs... That I want to draw with the time buddies. Short ranging from a couple of seconds, to maybe a minute, so don't expect much. All I'll say is- guhhh y'all better enjoy flower face because all of these are with her songs lmfao..

> There are two songs atleast that I want to make almost full animatics, but that's probably not going to happen, so instead I'll take sections from them.

These have a priority list ofc, but the way I work is pretty much spontaneous. So whatever I'm up for will take priority. It'll take time but I hope to have finished all of these within the next couple of months. We'll see how things go... I also have to balance other things and art in-between so blehhh. It's a mess.

Um anyway, About the whole situation with yaelokre, I apologize if this is all that has been flooding yer askbox, I just need to rant about this as I love, well loved Yaelokres music, so like I'm still trying to figure out if I want to stop listing or pirate their music when I get the chance or just stop listening in general. Someone who obliterates basically any creative freedom other than their own from a fandom, or fails to address horrible threats twords people over FICTION doesn't deserve my money, views or time to be honest to be frank. (I'm not even talking about their boundary about not wanting to be sent NSFW of their characters I'll talk about that a little more as I ramble on)

Okay, so what I don't understand about keath is the fact they have said themselves that age is left up to the fans??? Was that.. Was that just forgotten about by people??? Some of us can or usually do see these characters as like 16-19 at least for me, like kudos to people who see them younger but like not me.

We as a community aren't mad about keaths boundaries, we are worried and concerned about keaths wording and failure to address the fact they are basically sending their fandom that is made majorly up of minors to seek out and be exposed to possible NSFW art. let me repeat for the stupid fucking people who don't wish to listen...KEATH IS ESSENTIALLY PAVING THE WAY FOR THEIR MINOR MAJORITY MADE UP FANDOM TO BE EXPOSED TO NSFW ART OF THEIR FUCKING CHARACTERS.

We don't care about the fact they tried (and faild miserably with horrible wording) set a boundary!!! We care about the fact minors will be exposed to NSFW art because a creator is to lazy to put on their big kid pants and be uncomfortable and either seek it out themselves or just ya know ignore it!!

We aren't saying keaths boundary is stupid, it's okay to not want to see NSFW art of your characters, but like do what the proper thing is, block, ignore and find a way to censor it from your own eyes. People aren't going to stop making NSFW art of your characters, the internet is free range. No one can really be stopped or binded from doing what they want unless it's something TRULY ILLEGAL.

Also misusing(? Sorry I can't spell) copyright laws???? That's fucking stupid and a waste of REASORCES for people's stuff that's actually having the shit copied and used from other fandoms!? To want to report and flag copyright fan work because you as a fandom creator don't like it is beyond shitty.

I to be honest hate the fact this music has developed fucking fandom, super fans like the ones who are threatening other fans over NSFW fiction has ruin this fandom and so has keath. I hate that I was ever apart of something that has turned so hateful. The music was amazing now I just look at it and feel disgust and unease.

Yaelokre Headcannons

Kingsley is Colentine's #1 fan (and also their biggest hater)

Perrine has a habit of (not necessarily kissing) but simply pressing their lips to the foreheads of the other Lark, especially after they've done something particularly reckless or dumb.

"When y'all nearly get yourselves killed 15 separate times in a day I do what I need to keep sane."

Even though most of these times death isn't really a high probability (unless you're Kingsley). Perrine just tends to worry to much.

Catch Perrine telling Cole to calm down and stop being irrational five minutes later anyway.

This next one isn't necessarily a headcannon but more something my brain has done against my will; The Croon is like 20+ feet tall. Bro is in the trees. The Enkindled doesn't really have a particularly height I suppose (as they shapeshift) but I imagine they do what they can to be close enough to the Croon to bother them. The Bellringer is like 10 ish feet in my head. And then Story is like 5'4". No, I do not take criticism. You cannot convince me the jolly stuffing man is any taller than 5'5".

Kingsley football tackles Cole into the ground or nearest body of water at the earliest convenience.

Cole hates the snow. Not necessarily because of the cold (though they hate that too) but more because Kingsley becomes one with the ice during snow days with Clémentine as their right hand.

Snow fights are ruthless and taken very seriously.

Like draw lines through their family type of seriously. If an atrocity was committed on the battlefield, it'll take days for the effects to wear off in the household or until revenge is exacted.

There is a spring by their house that you can catch them at at any given moment (especially during the warmer months).

Fresh water for drinking, washing, cooking, cooling off in the summer, new combat terrain. What else could you want?

House Headcannons...?

Perrine has their own room upstairs with a big ol' Kingsley keep out (and other children aswell) unspoken rule.

Sometimes Kingsley will go in there and move stuff around just for the thrill of it.

Perrine sleeps in a hammock.

Clémmie and Cole share a room downstairs with the only actual bed.

Kingsley wouldn't be caught dead sleeping in a bed. They sleep in a nest in the corner.

This all changes, however, in the winter when the upstairs becomes essentially off limits and they all sleep in Clémmie and Cole's room for warmth.

Kingsley doesn't complain as hypothermia doesn't sound too appealing.

Cole does though as they're convinced Kingsley has fleas.

"That was ONE TIME Cole, I don't even have them anymore!"

Perrine's hammock hangs next to their bedroom window which happens to be right above Cole and Clémmie's bedroom window.

Clémmie tries to get Cole to sneak out with them all the time only to be caught all the time.

It's so ironic because Clém does this more during the warmer summer nights, which coincides with Perrine's need to keep their window open for ventilation purposes.

Perrine doesn't even care that they want to go out after dark. But,

"At least have the audacity to tell me where I'll have to go in the morning to find your dead bodies."

Clémmie and Cole don't even retreat when caught. They just hear Perrine's voice shout from behind them and book it.

The whole "sneaking out" is just a fun ruse at this point. There's not even a real valid reason for them to be going out the window anymore.

Kingsley sleeps through anything and everything. Also sleeps in the most.

Clémmie and Perrine will wake up very easily. Like a one degree change in temperature will have these two shooting out of bed.

Perrine cannot sleep until Clémmie and Cole do as they can just barely hear the sounds of life through the floor boards and that is just obviously too much.

Cole won't really wake up to noise (unless very, very loud), but will wake up fairly easily to touch or movement. (i.e. if either Clémmie or Cole are awake, they're both awake.)

Kingsley won't bathe, there is so little one can do to get them to do it.

"This is hard earned grime!"

This is fairly okay during the summer as Kingsley can just be tricked into it by going swimming (they also just spend less time closer together with better ventilation during the warmer months).

In the winter though? Oh no. It's such a problem. Only worsened by the fact Cole will NOT let Kingsley sleep in their bed smelling like that.

Kingsley's so committed that they'll sleep on the ground in front of the fire, up until it gets cold enough that Kingsley will bathe just to experience love and affection again.

Perrine brings up death a lot very casually. It's a stapple to their sense of dry, sarcastic humor. Perrine has yet to pick up on this habit.

Most of the Harkers DO NOT know what to do with children. Especially Story believe it or not. Catch them dangling infants by the foot and throwing them into the air. Yarrow's over here like 😨.

Okay. I just need to say that I really hate people saying that I don't see my opponents as people. I mean, I'm genuinely not sure what that even means.

Do you think that my problem is that I need to have an epiphany where I realize, "wow, this person on the other side of the screen who hate me for my existence is a human being! They have a family and people they love, and events in their life that led them to become bigoted against people like us! And the like The Owl House just like I do, and that anti-endo pluralculture blog thinks Batman is plural just like me! This totally makes me want to be nicer to the people who hate me for my existence!"

Maybe if I do something that hurts anti-endos, it's not because I don't see them as people. It's just because I don't care.

I don't care that we have things in common. I don't care that some might be decent people if you ignore all of their bigotry. I don't care if one of the sysmeds who was complaining about their therapist being pro-endo had a miserable prom night because they were thinking about my post about them.

I know some people have do have issues seeing their opponents a people. I mean, anti-endos seems consistently shocked whenever endogenic systems show up outside of endogenic spaces, as if they expect us to spend our entire existences in a bubble.

Which... raises another issue with the common ground we do share, because what appears to be common ground on the surface is, in fact, often a battleground.

The recent Yaelokre incident is a good example of this, where sysmeds tried bullying the mods of the Yaelokre server into banning endogenic systems from that space. Similarly, Aimkid was mass harassed by anto-endos. It stands to reason that any creators who support endogenic systems will find themselves similarly harassed and bullied for it by former fans.

However human they may be doesn't matter. What matters is that they're a threat. That they hate us for our existence and even if they're not directly attacking us, they're supporting those that do.

tbh I stay away from fandoms for small indie projects because they often end up being obnoxious as hell. Don't get me wrong, I'd still support projects just without the fans. When I discovered Yaelokre's music and dipped my toes into the fandom, it gave me similar vibes to Welcome Home's and Vivziepop's (well, back when it *was* indie, still applies though). I wasn't even in either of those fandoms but my ex-mutuals were and they were constantly putting discourse on my dash.

In a way, it feels like these fandoms have all the same fans who just flock to the newest thing that blew up and they always start drama after they suck the content dry.

Yeah, it's definitely a pattern at this point. Certainly said, because some of these things had excellent potential.
