I know y'all have probably seen the fan stuff with Grian and the whole “I forgot my name again” trend, but I think it would be fitting for Taurtis too.

Like imagine during Evo Taurtis accidentally reverted back to Jerry and stuff a few times.

Say hello to Rae and Revenge!

These two are the only living characters from their universe. The only ones created and the only ones left.

This Au was originally called Eternal Night, but I’m thinking of a new name, Raeventale.

The redesigns are not yet finished and they may change again in the switch to digital.

But for now I thought I’d share as a way to motivate myself to continue. If you want to know more all you gotta do is ask. I may end up doing one of those “Ask Blogs” (do people still do those? Lol).

So because Undertale is back in the mainstream with the $1 sale on Steam and the whole “Deltarune Tomorrow” thing. I decided I’m going to bring back my AU from way back in the day.

I’m proud of my old story idea, and excited to try and renew it. I feel like it might have been a hit back in the day. If only I wasn’t a middle schooler and had the art skills back then. Oh well

I’m no comic artist, but I’m gonna make an attempt. Just gotta hone some digital art skills to do it.

Finding my some of my old original inspiration though is gonna be hard. Cause I’m probably gonna need it to come up with an actual plot since I don’t have much.

Please check out the music artist Sparkbird! Their music has references to the life series, but are vague enough to never know unless you were told.

I'm almost certain their song “Mayday” is about boat boys.

They have an indie-pop sound with a similar vibe to Crane Wives and Yaelokre.

Their song “Atlantisia” has grasped me and won't let go.

The songs are also great for OC and story inspiration.

Would anyone want someone to create like a full YHS and Tokyo Soul summary or something like that?

Cause I know people don't like the fandom using it cause Sam never properly paid Grian and stuff or for his appearance on it or something like that.

I also know that most people just use the fandom interpretations of how that stuff went down which is largely inaccurately portrayed in the fandom.

The Taurtis arc only last a week in canon and Taurtis wasn't killed by Sam on that Halloween night. Grian actually continues hanging out after he gets back to being Grian (now I haven't finished my watch through but he seems to be staying fairly voluntarily like he isn't trying to go back to Britain or anything) and Taurtis easily forgives Sam for the stabbing and stuff. Sam’s not making them stay together after they get their memories back. I'm pretty sure that most of YHS takes place in a semester or so (I could be very wrong I started my watch though at the point when Grian joined)

Funny lore I just learned while doing some data gathering for future Grian stories:

Canonically, in Yandere High School, apparently none of the characters are actually speaking Japanese (that's “translated” to English for the viewer). No, all of the characters are speaking English. Of the main three Taurtis is the only one who knows Japanese.

The series is set in Japan. But apparently the whole town/city only know English. One character is even afraid when he's spoken to in Japanese.

I just thought this was silly.

Oh, and also, apparently, Tokyo Soul (the series set after the events of Yandere High School) is set in 2027.

I have no other ideas other than “The doctor” being the watchers and that it's either Flower Husbands, Desert Duo, or Martyn as the main character/Poppy.

And I'm not mad about it cause now it’s closer to Martyn’s canon in which it was all him and not the Watchers taking over.

Anybody else spend days working out timelines and lore and backstories just because you wanted to write a cute, small, one-shot story in your AU?

Oh, and all because you decided to be different with how your timeline went than most others' interpretations because you’re quirky and too detail-orientated and felt the need to make the timeline from the source material work with every idea you wanted.

I ended up basically writing a whole new story and figuring out the timeline. And it was only because I'm too detail-oriented and needed to know when the story occurred so that I could write minuscule details.

I'll probably share the story at some point

I love drawing, but as time goes on and I keep never finishing any fanart, I realize that I might need to come up with a new style to make drawing easier.

My current style relies heavily on references, which isn't bad, but it becomes pretty difficult when I draw fan art based on people/characters, where I can't get a reference for their heads from every angle.

I feel like I need a more cartoony style, at least for doing heads and stuff, cause while I love my current style, it makes it so difficult to do art sometimes. It would also help my perfectionism cause I wont feel like I'm failing cause the face shape isn't right. I wanna draw more often and I think changing my style might help. I just struggle with change.

Does anyone else hate when Minecraft updates add stuff?

Like why you gotta add new creatures? Now I might have to change my lore and headcanons for people cause the new creature is awesome and one of these silly little block people fits the new creature and could be a hybrid.

I have a whole lore and story to explain Minecraft updates and how they work but making new hybrids because of the updates doesn’t fully fit into the lore.

I guess now I need to create a new separate lore for new hybrids after updates.

As a writer… felt

I wish writers in this fandom got more recognition than they actually do,,,there are some exceptions sure, but for the most part I feel like the authors in this fandom are always super overshadowed by the artists. It can be really disheartening when you pour all your heart into a story that only a few people see and like, while a doodle from artists get way more attention most of the time. Part of me feels like it's maybe an attention span issue? It's a lot less effort to look at a picture and rave about it than read like 1000-10000 words and do the same

This isn't hate to artists btw I love what y'all do but it just sucks sometimes as a writer that it turns out this way :(
