You stared yet again at the reflection in front of you. Tear stains had ruined your makeup, your mascara that claimed to be waterproof was now coating your cheeks until your chin.
You gripped the sink in anger, your knuckles turning white at the force.
A lot of curse words flashed in your mind, but none were strong enough to represent your current state.
How could you be so oblivious? You thought Jake and you had something, something that went beyond just two people who met at a frat party.
You felt it, inside your heart, the way it tickled every time you heard his sweet chuckle leave his lips, seeming like the only light in the darkness of life.
You took a deep breath, trying to gather all the shattered pieces of your heart, laying open there. If that was how it hurt, you sure as hell werenât going to give anyone else the key to access to it.
âWhatâs a pretty girl crying in the bathroom for?â A voice snapped you out of your trance. You raised your face and met a pair of known, dark eyes.
âHeeseung.â You breathed out, not even bothering to turn around. That moment almost felt like a deja vĂč, probably because that same bathroom was where your lips first met Jakeâs.
Trying to block out all the memories of that Australian man, you turned around and leaned back on the countertop.
âGlad you still remember my name.â He said, licking his bottom lip, âFound out your prince charming wasnât as innocent as you thought?â
You frowned at his words âHowâd you know?â And Heeseung just chuckled bitterly in response âI invited you to my party in hope of having you for myself.â
His eyes roamed all over your body âJust to find out you were at it with my best friend.â You rolled your eyes. âWe just made out, nothing more.â
If you thought Jake was bold, Heeseung was shameless. He was looking at you like you were a gazelle in the lionâs den, eyes scanning your body, probably imagining you without clothes.
âWell, heâs busy now.â You turned around and looked at yourself in the mirror, trying to clean the mascara stains on your face.
âWith Karina?â Heeseung nodded at himself, âShe was there before you.â
You turned around again, a deeply offended expression painting your features âExcuse me?â
Heeseung smirked, cleaning your cheeks with his own thumbs âYou really thought Sim Jake would fall in love with a mediocre girl?â He cooed âAw, poor you. Jake had always been greedy, he would never settle for someone who isnât from his own neighbourhood.â
âAnd why are you telling me this?â You asked warily, not fully believing the words leaving his mouth. You wanted to stay with your impression of the kind and playful Jake. Not the player, not the heartbreaker.
âBecause he isnât worth your tears, pretty.â Heeseungâs voice was husky and hoarse, you couldnât almost understand his words âBut I am, when Iâll fuck you so hard.â
You pushed his chest away, âDisgusting.â But Heeseung only laughed in response, âI was kidding.â
You rolled your eyes and stepped aside of him âIâm going home.â You were almost out of the door when his big hand wrapped around your waist, pulling you flush on his chest.
âOr, I have a better idea.â You raised a brow. âYou donât look like someone who has nice ideas.â
âJust trust me.â He wiggled his brows âI know youâre known for seducing and then leaving.â
You scowled âIf thatâs my reputation on your side of the town.â His fingers trailed your arm until they reached your shoulder, caressing the bare skin âIn my opinion, thatâs hot.â
âI donât remember asking.â You sighed, having heard his flattering already when he was courting you, a couple of weeks before.
âIâm saying, we go downstairs.â Heeseung bit his bottom lip, playing with the strap of your dress. âAnd we get a taste of each other, just let your mind drift off.â He said, lowering down to whisper in your ear.
You honestly werenât in the mood to make out with someone, let alone be in a room full of teenagers drunk off their titsïżœïżœ But what could you do better to fix your broken heart?
âI hope you improved your kissing skills.â
đ©âĄđȘ
If stares could kill, then the ones Jake was giving you as you basically straddled Heeseung in the middle of his living room got you dead a few minutes before.
Your lips were attached, rarely pulling away, just enough to catch your breath while his hands were wrapped around your waist, holding you in place on his laps.
Jake was still with that pretty woman whose name you learnt was Karina. And in fact, she was deadly gorgeous, you almost didnât blame Jake for leaving you for her. But you were Y/N, nobody shouldâve dared to play with your heart that same cruel way Jake did.
âYou donât mind making out with me in front of him?â You asked on Heeseungâs lips, licking his bottom one âNah,â He cupped the back of your neck, pulling you closer âYou werenât a thing anyways, were you?â
Your heart stopped at his words, because in fact, you and Jake werenât anything. You had never been, it was foolish of you to even hope for it.
âNo, we werenât.â You replied in a whisper, âPerfect.â Heeseung resumed kissing you, more roughly this time.
Jake needed something stronger than the mild cup of beer in his hand to forget your presence in the room. Smashing his head on the wall seemed like a good option since not only did you attend the party but were also making out with his best friend.
He called it on himself, he knew nothing good would come with playing with you, but he couldnât erase all that he had done.
Trying to cancel the image of Heeseung with his hands all over you, he turned to the side to give his attention to the raven haired girl beside him âSo, whenâs your brother coming home from Paris again?â
Karina smiled at the mention âSunghoon is coming back in two days!â She informed him, âHe also wanted to invite you guys over.â
Jake beamed back at his other best friendâs older sister and nodded âThat sounds good, I havenât seen him in one month or so.â
Karina rolled her eyes âYeah, I came back as soon as work finished but he claimed he wanted to âsightseeâ the city before returning here.â
He smiled âLiving his best life, I see.â He patted her shoulder, the touch on her exposed skin only made him remember how your body felt when it was wrapped around his, kissing you all over.
He hoped he could have done more, to be with you longer so that he would have experienced having you laid down beneath him, in your whole essence and beauty. He wished he had a chance to do thatâ But the universe wasnât on his side.
You hadnât realised how much fun those rich kids could have. You thought they talked about horses and lake cottages in their free time but they actually were so much more than that!
Or maybe it was whatever Heeseung made you smoke that was altering your thoughts.
You were currently sitting on his laps, your back pressed against his chest as you took a drag out of the joint between your fingers.
You giggled at something one of Heeseungâs friends said, you weren't even sure why you were laughing but it sounded fun.
Heeseung caressed your back, trailing circles on your shoulder as he took a drag from his own joint âHaving fun, Y/N?â He asked and you nodded âMuch.â
âMhmh, I bet you are.â He smirked, âFirst time smoking weed?â
You nodded again âJake said I looked like I did it daily,â You chuckled âBut I never tried.â
âDid he?â He whispered, getting close to your neck, leaving kitten licks âYou talk a lot about him.â
âNo.â You frowned âI donât.â Heeseung chuckled and started sucking on your sensitive skin, making you let out a moan.
His big hand went to cover your mouth as he worked on your neck, sucking and biting enough to leave a hickey âYou talked about him the whole night, haven't you even realised?â
You widened your eyes at his statement. No, you hadnât realised, but when his name rolled out of your tongue it just sounded so right.
You just shook your head, unable to reply verbally since his hand was on your lips.
You closed your eyes, trying to block out any thought at the feeling of Heeseungâs lips on your neck and the weed clouding your mind.
âAre you mad?â A strict voice suddenly snapped you out of your state of trance as you felt yourself being ripped away from Heeseungâs grasp.
You opened your eyes just to find a very rather and deeply angry Jake standing in front of you, if he was in a cartoon youâd see his veins pulsing on his forehead.
âHeâs Jake!â You exclaimed happily to Heeseung, the effect of the amount of alcohol you drank and the intoxication from weed made you act hyper âI know.â Heeseung replied calmly.
Jake pulled you behind his back âWhat were you thinking? Making her smoke this shit?â
You frowned âItâs goodââ But Heeseung cut you âRelax man, we were just having fun.â
âThis is not having fun.â He took the joint from your hand and threw it to Heeseung âDonât get her into your addictions.â
Heeseung raised a brow, his expression remaining stoic âShe was willing.â Jake snapped back âSheâs drunk!â
He took a deep breath and pointed a threatening finger toward Heeseung âDo not pull this ever again.â He stated before taking your hand in his and dragging you out of the party.
Meanwhile, Heeseung smirked as he saw the two of you walk away; Maybe that was when his best friend would finally wake up and realise all the things he was losing.
đ©âĄđȘ
âHey!â You exclaimed, trying to pull away from his iron grip âYunjin is still inside.â Jake let out a small groan âIâll drive her home later.â
You pulled hard on his hand, making him stop right in front of his crimson car âLet me go.â
Jakeâs eyes were full of rage, you were almost scared at their intensity âAre you angry?â
âYes.â He stated, voice serious âAt me?â You asked, your voice was so soft and quiet it made his heart jump out of his ribcage âNo, not at you.â
Your eyes were red and bloodshot, your breath heavy âHow many did you smoke?â He asked, trying to contain his tone.
You gulped down, lowering your gaze âTwo.â Jake nodded and opened the door of his car, letting you in.
âIâm going to kill Heeseung somedays.â He mumbled, walking to the other side and entering the driver seat.
He started the engine and drove in silence, the late hours of the night not as lively as they usually were.
When you reached a stoplight, Jake opened a small bottle of water he had in his car and handed it to you âDrink, I want it all finished before we reach your house.â
You raised a brow, your mind was already puzzled and his actions only added to your confusion âWhy?â
âJust listen to me.â He dismissed your question and started driving again while you drank small sips from the bottle.
You soon reached your house, this time Jake parked his car unauthorisedly in front of it, exiting the car to open the door for you.
You looked up at him, your vulnerable state making him want to protect you even more. Damn Heeseung.
âI couldnât finish it allâŠâ You murmured, showing him only the half-empty bottle of water.
His eyes softened. âThatâs ok, at least you drank some.â You smiled up at him and stumbled a little as you tried to reach your house door.
Jake helped you, holding you up with his arms under your armpits âShoot, Y/N. Why did you drink so much?â He let out a huff, as he was basically supporting all your weight.
You leaned on the wall and handed Jake your purse, not really in the state to open the door.
âWhatâs the code?â He asked and looked at your door, just to realise there was no code to access inside it, your door still needed a key to be opened.
His stomach dropped, another mental check of how different your lives were âInside the purse.â You murmured.
Jake nodded and opened your purse, taking out the keys and opening the door, holding it open.
âYouâre mad at me?â You asked again, your eyes half-lidded and you could barely hold yourself upâ yet you were ever so pretty.
The moonlight shone on you, lighting up your skin, your hair falling down your face, messy but gorgeous. So dishevelled but so pretty.
âNo, Y/N. Iâm not mad at you.â He repeated, his tone sincere âThen⊠Then why you ignored me?â You asked, the pout on your lips only making him want to bite on them.
He gave you the purse back and pushed you a little so that you walked in âGo straight to bed, donât wake your parents up. You donât want them to see you like this.â
You nodded obediently and Jake caressed your cheek with his thumb before turning around. He stopped right in front of your door and smiled âIâm doing this for you, ma chĂ©rie.â And then closed the door.
đ©âĄđȘ
âHey man,â Jake greeted Sunghoon as he entered his house, giving him a high five, âGood to see you again.â
âYeah, glad to see you too.â Sunghoon nodded and closed the door behind his back.
âAm I the last one?â Jake asked, walking to the couch and sitting on it, bouncing a couple of times.
âNo,â A wild Jay appeared from the kitchen where he was cooking something for dinner, already busy since late afternoon. âHeeseung texted heâd be late.â
âAs always.â Sunghoon rolled his eyes and sat down beside him âI swear, he never changes.â
âJay told me you will take over your fatherâs company,â Sunghoon smiled, but it didnât quite reach his eyes âCongratulations.â
âYeah.â Jake laughed âThanks.â Awkward silent filled the room, the only sound being Jayâs pots as he cooked. Sunghoon eyed him up and down, leaning back on the couch and resting his head on his hand âHadnât you rebelled to your parents?â
âRumours fly.â He smiled forcefully âIt was just a silly thing. I actually realised I should make them proud after eveything they did for me.â
âAnd what exactly did they do for you, Jake?â Sunghoonâs voice was low, his gaze piercing.
Jake just cleared his throat and changed the topic âSo, how was Paris?â He asked âI know you booked a hotel near the Eiffel Tower. Bet it was awesome.â
Sunghoon tsked âIndeed. Iâll show you the picture if you want.â Jake answered positively when the doorbell rang.
âYou get the door, it must be Heeseung.â Sunghoon got up from the sofa and patted his pockets âIâll search for my phone.â
Jake got up as well and walked to the door, the doorbell rang again and he sighed âYeah, coming.â He opened it and widened his eyes when he saw another familiar figure beside Heeseung.
He took in the sight of you, wearing comfortable clothes, looking ever so dreamy.
His gaze fixed on the hickey Heeseung made you a couple of days before, now all dark and purplish. He gulped âWhat is she doing here?â
âI invited her.â Heeseung shrugged, stepping aside Jake and walking inside the house.
You were left with him, staring at each otherâs faces, acting as if both of your hearts werenât pounding âHowâs the after effect?â
There was no context but you knew what he meant âGood, Iâm a big woman. No joint can kill me.â You replied, walking beside him when no more words were exchanged. Truth to be told the next day you woke up with a throbbing headache, regretting all of your life choicesâ though the biggest one was the hickey on your neck.
âI thought you didnât want to hang out on this side of the town.â Jake spoke, his tone sounding mocking. You scowled âMaybe I changed my mind.â You walked faster toward the kitchen where everyone was gathered.
You got to know Jakeâs friend group. Aside from Heeseung and him, you had only seen Jay at the last party. You later found out Sunghoon was on a business trip in Paris which was why you hadnât seen him before, but even if you did he wasnât the happiest about your presence, so you thought you wouldnât have been friends.
Jay, on the other end, was sophisticated and kind, the two of them looking ever so the stereotype of rich kids.
Heeseung and Jake were rather normal, they couldâve passed as the kids from your neighbourhood if you didn't know their true identities.
âI brought some snacks.â Sunghoon announced, placing a sachet on the table. He took out all kinds of sweet things, but your eyes lit up at the sight of macaroons.
You had only seen their pictures and let your mind wander at what their taste would be like, but now they were in front of you, so you reached your hand and took one.
âYou like âem?â Heeseung asked, taking the chocolate flavoured one and eating it âIâve never tried them.â The whole table fell silent, all the boys stopping in their tracks.
âNever?â Jay questioned and you shook your head âThatâs a bummer though, I only bought four for the four of us.â Sunghoon was about to take the vanilla flavoured macaroon out of your hand when Jake slapped it away.
âI donât like them anyways, she can have mine.â Jay frowned at his friendâs words âYou love macarââ He was shushed by a biscuit placed in his mouth by Jake âI donât like them.â He repeated.
You bit on the small treat and your eyes formed hearts âItâs so good!â You said, munching on it. And you didnât know it, but Jakeâs heart skipped a beat at the sight of you so happy.
You continued to spend time with them, playfully beefing with Sunghoon as if you werenât an intruder in his house until they decided to go in the free time room to play billiard.
âBut I donât know how to play billiards.â You pouted, watching all the men gather around the pool table.
âThatâs ok, you can just watch.â Sunghoon dismissed you quickly, placing himself in front of you to posionate the balls inside the triangle.
You just scoffed and sat on the kitchen counter, crossing your arms on your chest.
You watched the game develop in front of your eyes, never truly understanding its rules. They were too useless and complicated and you stopped paying attention in the middle.
After what seemed like forever, where you had the time to walk around Sunghoonâs big house three times and even have a chat with his maids â cause apparently, rich kids could even afford maidens â you entered the kitchen again just to see it was empty.
You looked around, checking if anyone was there before following Sunghoonâs previous actions, placing the balls in the triangle to align them.
You didnât know what they found interesting in billiards, and trying to understand it wasnât going to get you killed.
You took the cue stick and positioned yourself, copying the boysâ postures.
Something mustâve gone wrong, though, because as you pushed the cue you embarrassingly missed it.
âYou are too far with your back.â The same voice that haunted your dreams spoke from behind you, making you flinch.
âChill, itâs just me.â Jake stated, munching on some chips âHeeseung wondered if you wanted something to eat.â
You smirked, leaning on the table âHeeseung or you?â Jake rolled his eyes but didnât deny your questioning.
He gulped down his food and stared at you âYou want to play pool?â
âI already said I donât know how to do that.â You repeated, glancing back at the untouched balls âI donât even understand the rules.â
âHere.â Jakeâs accent tickled your ears as he made you turn around with his hands on your hips âBend just a little.â You didnât know if his voice was really that low or if he was doing it just to tease youâ Whatever was his plan, you were down for it.
âMh? Like this?â You said with your most innocent voice, bending slightly more on the table, just enough to make your ass touch his front hips.
He let out a faint groan âYeah.â He tried not to show the effect you had on him and trailed his fingers along your arms until he reached the cue stick in your hands. Goosebumps formed on your skin at the contact.
âThen?â You asked, eager for him to touch you. âThen you place the cue like this.â He shifted your fingers so you could grip it the right way and turned his face, you could feel his breath on your skin and the tip of his nose poking your cheek.
There was also something else poking your ass cheeks, which was why you started moving, briefly. Just to tease him.
âTake the aim.â The combination of his voice and the proximity of your bodies made your mind hazy, making it hard for you to concentrate.
You just let him guide you âAnd⊠Shoot.â You pushed the cue between your fingers and finally, all the balls moved around the green table.
One went into the hole and you jumped happily âI did it!â You exclaimed, laughing âYou saw?â You asked, turning around.
Jake was staring at you with ever so deep eyes, full of emotions you didnât quite get but felt inside of you as well âI always see you.â
đ©âĄđȘ
You werenât sure why Heeseung invited you to yet another party, or the reason as to why you seemed to be the only girl at a boys hang out, but you werenât going to complain.
The hotel you guys were staying in was huge, apparently it belonged to Heeseungâs parents and you could have it all for yourself the whole night.
Wearing the best dress you owned you presented yourself at the location beside the raven haired man.
You greeted his friends group and noticed there were many other people, unlike you thought, all partying and dancing together.
It was very different from the ones he usually threw at his house, this one was huge and packed, there was almost no space to go through the crowd.
âAnd you said I couldnât bring Yunjin along.â You side eyed Heeseung, earning a shrug. âOne girl from the other side is already enough.â
You slapped lightly on his shoulder âRude.â Heeseung laughed and pushed your back a little. âGo have fun, I have guests to greet.â
Feeling like a mouse surrounded by cats, you made your way through the crowd, trying to ignore the thirsty stares you were receiving. Since that fateful night where you willingly let your heart out for Jake you had become more careful with your possible make outs.
As you turned your face to look at the big pool where people were swimming, you accidentally bumped someone's chest, which made you stumble backwards.
âSorry,â You murmured, about to walk away when a hand came around your wrist. It wasnât Jakeâs, the one you were used to, it was much rougher and tighter.
You glanced up just to notice a tall guy, probably high judging from his bloodshot eyes and twitching nose. Holy Moly.
That guy lowered to match your height, his hot and smelly breath made your nose scrunch in disgust âHey, gorgeous.â
Your whole body froze and your heart stopped beating for a few seconds âUh⊠Hi.â You laughed awkwardly, trying to remove your hand from his grip.
âYou bumped me by mistake?â He asked, getting dangerously close âOr did you want my attention. You didnât have to pull that act, my attention is all yours now.â His words were so slurred you could barely understand them.
âActually, it was a mistake.â You said and again tried to pull away from him, but the more you tried the more he got closer.
âDonât lie.â He whispered and wrapped one arm around your waist. You were trapped, your breath hitching.
âI truly am not.â You pushed his chest away, resulting in him only tightening his grip âCome on⊠Letâs have fun.â
âShe said it was a mistake.â A familiar voice with a thick accent, thicker than usual, commented, placing one hand on the guyâs shoulder.
The guy groaned and raised himself in all his height, turning around in slow motion â or maybe it was just your panicked vision playing tricks â toward Jake.
He stood in front of him, unfazed by how big and tall that guy was as he stared at him with a dark gaze.
âAnd who are you to interrupt us?â The guy asked, his voice too low for your own likings âHer guy.â Jake said as if it was the most obvious answer, raising a brow.
âSo, I suggest you walk the fuck away before I throw one punch on your nose and break it.â You had never seen Jake angry, you had a few fantasies about it, but you wouldâve never imagined him being so scary (and hot).
His whole aura was inky, arms crossed on his chest, showing his excessively veiny arms.
That guy was surely drunk but not enough to risk his own life. He raised his hands in a submissive manner and nodded âAlright, sorry man.â Jake tilted his head âItâs not me you have to apologise to.â
He took a moment to comprehend his words âOh.â He then turned to you and scratched the back of his neck âIâm sorry.â He didnât wait for your reply and just walked away.
Your eyes then met Jakeâs, filled with wrath âIââ You said but were met by his hand around your wrist, this time your body not repulsing it as that guyâs and he dragged you inside the hotel.
âJake, let go.â You tried to fight him but he was stronger, dragging you through the corridors until he reached what wouldâve been a storage room, full of pillows and sheets supplies âLet go, it hurts.â
Jake loosened his grip âYou really have trouble written on your forehead.â He snapped, his breath heavy as he paced around the room âI canât look away from you that youâre getting yourself into something bad.â
You frowned at his harsh words âThatâs not true.â Jake scowled âIs it not? You either get high or almostââ He couldnât bring himself to finish his sentence.
âWhy do you even care anyways?â You said back, brows knitted âYouâre the one who used me.â
Jake stopped in his tracks âUsed you?â He got closer to you.
âYes,â You stepped forward as well. âYou just used me, made me think you actually cared about me just to rebel against your parents.â
You gulped, your heart breaking again at the memory âNext thing I know, youâre ignoring me and smiling at a pretty girl.â
âDid you fuck her, Jake?â He was taken aback from your words, placing his hands on your shoulders. You shrugged him off, he still remained in your proximity without touching you.
âI think I lost something here, who was I smiling at?â You clicked your tongue, your hands on your waist as you got frustrated.
âThat girl, last Saturday.â You explained âDark hair, killer body, tall⊠Come on Jake, just admit it you wanted someone to fuck but I didnât and so you went with someone else.â
âThatâs really not what I did. I would never.â He blinked faintly âThat girl, sheâs Karina, Sunghoonâs sister.â He then added âI donât like her, not that way.â
You wanted to scowl at him, but his tone was so serious you found yourself asking â..What?â
âYouâre not the problem, Y/N.â Jake said, sighing âItâs me, itâs all my fault.â
You shook your head, confused. âWhatâ Jake, I donât understand.â
âI shouldnât have asked you to help me.â He backed up until his back hit the wall, running a frustrated hand in his hair âI exposed you to my parentsâ Iââ
You moved to him, taking his face in your hand âStop mumbling.â You ordered âTalk to me, whatâs wrong?â
Despite the way he treated you in the past week, your touch was still gentle and you worried about him. A spark of hope lit his heart up.
Jake nodded and took a deep breath âMy parents⊠they said that if I didnât break up with you theyâd make yours lose their job. Youâd lose your house⊠I couldnât do that, Y/N.â
He seemed as if he was slowly loosing his mind. You took in the sight of him, dark circles under his eyes, he looked paler wearing that white shirt. Just what on earth had he been doing?
âTheyâre powerful, with the amount of money they have they can easily buy your whole neighbourhood and evict you.â He gulped down âSo I am preparing to take over the company, to make them happy.â
Your eyes widened at his words, âThey threatened you?â You asked, removing your hands from his cheeks to stand properly.
Jake shrugged, âWe werenât together so technically I couldnât break up with you, but I could stay away if it meant youâd be safe.â He sighed softly, âI told you Iâm a bad bet since the first time we met.â
âNo,â You shook your head âYou arenât bad, your parents are.â
He scoffed, âAnd Iâm just like them.â
You fisted the collar of his shirt and brought his lips down to yours. He was shocked by your sudden action but he relaxed soon and closed his eyes, kissing you back.
âSay that again and your face will meet my fist.â You breathed out as you pulled away âYou donât get how brave you are? You were about to sacrifice your happiness to save my family⊠someone you met at a party.â
âYouâre not just someone I met at a party.â Jake whispered âIn just a couple of days you made my whole life better, you made me realise thereâs so much more than what I was used to.â
He placed one hand in your hair, caressing your scalp âI never meant to hurt you, baby.â
Your heart jumped as you heard his whisper, the pet name making your head spin âLater, I want you to explain everything to me everything.â You demanded.
Jake nodded âEverything you want, queen.â Your breath quickened âBut for nowâŠâ You trailed off and connected your lips again.
You kissed him, roughly and he did it back with the same intensity, having missed the taste of you, the scent of your perfume invading his nostrils, clouding his mind.
âLet me take you home,â He murmured between kisses âIn your bedroom.â
You shook your head, stumbling backward and bringing him with you âCanât wait.â
âYou sure about this?â He asked as you got out of the storage room, bodies still tangled âI could be bad, worse than you think.â
You wrapped your arms around his neck and brought him down on you âThen, I wanna find out.â
Jake let out a small groan and resumed kissing you, blindly reaching a doorknob and praying nobody was inside.
He dragged you in and locked the door behind your backs.
Jake pushed you against the wall as he undid the buttons of his shirt while you unbuckled his belt, your lips never leaving each other.
He discarded his shirt and helped you unzip his jeans, throwing all of them somewhere on the floor.
He then removed the straps of your dress, slowly kissing all the way down your neck to your almost exposed chest. He pulled away, enough to look at the now barely-visible hickey Heeseung did.
Jake let out a deep groan âYou donât know how much this drove me insane.â He commented, trailing his thumb over it
âYeah?â You asked âWere you jealous?â
âI wanted to rip his head off.â He said, kissing you again âWanted to cover your whole body with hickeys and my marks, just to let him know who you belong to.â
You nodded, âDo it,â You breathed out âMake me yours, Jake.â
He unconsciously bucked his hips to meet yours, his clothed bulge poking your pussy âFuck baby, you canât tell me that.â He whispered, attaching his lips on your neck again.
Jake lowered the dress until it rested on your hips, palming your breasts, growling at the feeling.
You gasped when his lips engulfed your nipple, twirling his tongue round it. Your hand went to grasp his hair while the other slowly lowered his boxers until his painful erection was free.
Jake helped you out of your dress and underwear until you were standing in front of each other naked. âIâll worship your body another time.â He murmured, trailing his fingers down your chest âFor now, I just want to fuck you rough.â
You smirked and shook your head, making Jake widen his eyes âYou donât want this? I can stop.â
âNo, I want it.â You stated, slowly sinking on your knees âI just need to show you my skills first.â
That was the hottest thing anyone couldâve done to Jake, his cock twitched in front of you. It was huge, veiny and hard, his mushroom tip looking ever so delicious.
âYou see, baby? This is what you do to me.â He pumped his shaft, brushing it on your lips.
âStick out that tongue for me.â You did as told and stuck your tongue out as Jake laid his cock on it, bucking his hips back and forth. The spongy and warm texture already making it leak with precum.
You played with his balls while you took him whole in your mouth, gagging when it hit the back of your throat. The filthy sounds filled the room as he took a hold of your head, fisting your hair in a makeshift ponytail while he thrusted inside your throat.
âSo good.â He panted, his head thrown back and brows knitted.
You twirled your tongue around his cock, pumping it with your hands where your lips couldnât reach âSucking my cock so well.â
Before you could even register, Jake pulled out and raised you from your armpits, placing you on the bed.
âI need to feel your pussy.â He stated, rubbing your clit with his thumb âWant to use a condom, baby?â He asked, âJust tell me.â
You shook your head, bringing him down onto you in a heated kiss âFuck me raw.â He moaned in the kiss and fisted his shaft again, gathering your juices, you got so wet even by just giving him a blow.
He slowly inserted himself in you, the stretch causing you to pant. You werenât a virgin but he was bigger than the ones you had before, so it took a moment for you to get used to it.
Jakeâs thrusts were nice and slow at first, his forehead resting on yours âI canât resist.â He breathed out, giving a deeper thrust âPlease, can I move?â
You nodded your head, trying to breathe steadily. Jake raised from you and spread your legs open while he moved inside you. You grasped your tits, palming them while maintaining eye contact with Jake.
âYou donât know how much I wanted this,â He groaned, pulling out just to spit on your hole to fill it again âPussy so tight can barely move.â
Your hand went down to rub circles on your clit, trying to make it wetter as his thrusts gained speed.
Jake slapped your hand and commanded âHands around your ankles.â And so you complied.
He leaned down and kissed you sloppily, his hips moving back and forth at a delicious rhythm. You moaned out loud.
Holding your head up to rest his forehead on it, your eyes still locked with the others as your body connected fanatically, Jake twitched inside of you and halted his movements.
âFuckk, almost came.â He chuckled, pulling out of you.
âWant to last longer than this.â He took your body and turned you around, you raised yourself on your arms and leaned your ass up.
âYou like being fucked in doggy, mh?â He spammed your ass âLooking so eager to be fucked dumb, you wonât think about anything but my cock in you.â
Jake pushed himself inside of you again, making you moan out his name âYes, thatâs me.â He groaned âSay it again.â
âJake.â You gasped, he fisted your hair, making you arch your back while he rutted your body âOh, Y/N.â He moaned as well.
Putting one hand around your neck, he squeezed it as he threw his own head back, lost in the pleasure your warm walls were giving you.
âFuck baby, Iâm not gonna last long.â He panted, stopping his movements to edge himself âJust fuck me.â You pleaded, frustrated by your own denied orgasm every time he stopped.
âSorry,â He chuckled, spanking your ass and leaning down to kiss the back of your shoulder âYou want to cum?â
You nodded, raising yourself to kiss him passionately as he slowly thrusted inside you âCan you ride me, baby? Pretty please?â
Jake looked so hot, messy bangs sticking to his forehead and heavy breath, you couldnât do anything but agree to everything he said.
You waited for him to lay down, his back pressed against the headboard of the bed as you straddled him.
You rubbed your wet folds on his hard-on, Jake reached for your tits and squeezed them âHave I ever told you youâre so fucking hot?â He asked.
You chuckled âNo, but I already know that.â You winked and raised yourself on your knees, slowly sinking down on his cock.
The stretch was still a little painful, but nothing compared to the pleasure his dick was giving you.
You moved on him, up and down at a slow but deep rhythm, feeling him all as he hit your cervix with each thrust.
Jake moved your hair out of your face, his lips attaching to your boob as if he was a toddler in desperate need of milk.
You moaned, your hands grasping his shoulders as you moved back and forth at a quick speed.
âOh yes.â He put his hands behind his head and watched as you rode him, your mouth agape, gasping for air while shaky moans escaped your lips âFeels good.â
Your legs started to shake and you could barely keep yourself up as you felt the knot in your stomach tighten âIâve got you.â Jake noticed and made you lay on his chest, his hands spreading your ass cheeks as he started rutting inside you, his pace so quick you didnât know it was possible.
Your pussy clenched around his cock, creaming him as you fell apart, your moans loud and whole body shaking.
Jake didnât stop, he chased his own orgasm which was so close.
âYou're just made to please me.â He panted, giving a few more thrusts âYou're made to squeeze every drop of cum from my cock.â His eyes rolled back with a low groan as he shot his load, his cock twitching until it emptied in you.
You both stayed there for a while, just trying to steady your breaths and calm your racing hearts.
Jake slowly traced your back with his fingers, a featherlight touch sending shivers all dove your spine.
He pulled out, his cum dripping down from your pussy to your thighs and bedsheets.
Jake helped you sit up and removed a few strands of hair that got stuck to your face âYou look gorgeous.â He whispered, earning a smile from you âAnd you did amazing.â
He cleaned you up and threw the dirty sheets on the floor âIâm sorry for whoever will have to clean them tomorrow.â You commented, grimacing.
âDonât worry about it,â He soothed, settling himself beside you and holding you on his chest, gently caressing your bare shoulder.
You looked up at him, resting your chin on his shoulder. âYou should start making choices for your own happiness, Jake.â You murmured
Jake let out a small sigh âIndeed, I should.â He pressed a kiss on your brow âI want to choose you, not my parents, not anyone else. Only you.â You smiled, âI only want you, too.â
âIâll find a way to fight my parents, I promise Iâll be stronger this time.â Your eyes softened at his words, you caressed his cheek and he leaned on your palm, melting âOh Jake, youâre the strongest person I know.â You confessed.
âReally?â He asked, looking like a lost boy, âReally.â You confirmed.
Suddenly, your stomach growled loudly. Jake glanced at his phone he had found in his forgotten jeans and put on the bedside table âItâs late night, ma chĂ©rie. Youâre hungry?â
You nodded, âI want steak.â Jake snorted at your joke âAnd I want a burger.â He said back.
âHanging out with a girl from the other side of the town changed you.â You smirked, nudging his shoulders
âYeah. For the better.â
THE END.

FINALLY, I return properly. Kind of. Reason I've been away for so long was because of insane convention season and also had this bad boy in the works. This is one of two commissions done for a friend. Hope you all can enjoy yourselves for the crumbs I produce. -SK
CONTENT WARNING: Blood, violence, depressed s/o, and mentions of toxic past relationships.
Your New Boyfriends Runs Into Your Ex
While Rook Hunt was one of many to find camaraderie in a den of villains, that didnât mean chivalry was dead to him. Certainly not him.
Under his keen gaze, he knew that when a certain topic was broached, you would shy away instantly. Paled knuckles, a panicked gaze, and your bottom lip near to splitting open by how badly you chewed down.
It was like he was seeing a rabbit or deer caught in a trap, frantic with no escape. Though his heart had been trained to a perfect steel and not feel for his quarry, when he sees that look in your eyes, all defenses fall away.
The topic? Well, the worries of what the future held for you. Moreso in far off days. Would you continue to have your friends by your side? Would someone ever cherish you? Have a deeper connection?
For Rook, it was a no-brainer because of course! Who else was more worthy of adoration and praise than his dear petite grĂące? As he would declare this in all his usual grandeur, a small smile would form on your lips, but that happiness never reached your eyes.
Doubt clouded that sweet gaze of yours. In its own way, seeing such clear eyes be veiled by sadness was heartachingly beautiful. Yet it was a beautiful scene Rook couldnât bear to behold for too long.
When it came to keeping track of you, Rook was extra considerate. If one can call it that⊠In his mind, he kept careful track of those you interacted with. He watched your mannerisms, your dialogue, anything amiss he would file it away. But for the longest time, it didnât seem like an outside force was troubling you.
For a moment, Rook considered that whatever wounded your heart was a scar from a distant past he had yet to uncover. What he didnât expect was said wound abruptly appearing on a normal day.
From a vantage point, perhaps from a second story window or among the trees that dotted the campus, Rook had caught sight of you stone-still on your walk. Before you, an NRC student he couldnât recall. He didnât really have time to register the man when Rook had just attention all on you.
Your wide, hollow eyes. Your chest rising and falling rapidly. How you froze so perfectly under the gaze of this man. It was a scene Rook was all too familiar with. Prey terrified beyond its own mind to run, to hide, or even fight.
Your rational mind couldnât comprehend what your ex was even saying to you as panic held you in its overbearing clutch. The world grew dizzying and just when you felt like your heart would give out, right then and there, a broad arm wrapped around your shoulders.
âAh, there you are, ma petite grĂące. I was looking all over for you. You made me a bit worried, you know!â
It was hard to look up at him as Rookâs hat was tipped just enough for the shadows to mask his features. But your ex needed only one glance for the role of prey to be forced on him. Green eyes with a gaze so sharp, so precise like a notched arrow perfectly aligned to fire, bored right into him.
It didnât take much time before the ex backpedaled away with his tail between his legs, now only leaving you with Rook.
Rook would face you, gripping your forearms firmly. His expression, soft though. He called out for you, trying his best to snap you from your daze. When you finally realized it was him now before you, your body moved on its own before you could think. A heaviness made you fall against his chest. You shivered, maybe tears and sobs escaping you.
Rook held you so close against him. Like he was cradling a sculpture of the most delicate porcelain. As if one scratch or knock would crumble you into fine dust.
A single hand held the back of your head protectively, letting you weep as much as you wanted against his shirt. His chin nestled along your hair. You would be so blissfully unaware of Rookâs gaze. A complicated stare into space as his mind swam with many thoughts.
Rook always found beauty in the oddest of places. Yet for the first time, there was something Rook found utterly detestable. A vile image that was a blot in his picturesque vision and that was your ex, the source of your pain. But from that ugliness, he did find a most exquisite sensation. A drive to hunt. An unyielding need to protect you.
While he couldnât spring into action earlier, his quarry was marked. A hunter is patient and he can wait as long as he needs to for one slip-up, one more attempt to dare get near you, and Rook would be sure to let loose a vicious arrow.
There is a tension between you and Floyd on certain days. While most times, it would be all fun and games, just him and his little Shrimpy. But Floyd wasnât blind to the weight you carried.
It would irritate him on a dime when you obviously had thoughts clouding your mind. So much so that you fidget anxiously or not even pay attention to him. His sharp voice would call over the din of thoughts and youâd see the eel practically inches away from your face.
His dual colored eyes glared at you and a slight frown pulled at his lips. âGeez, what the hell is goinâ on with you!?â He doesnât mean to be so crass, but to see his Shrimpy unsettled, it frustrated him.Â
Moreso that he canât exactly pinpoint what was going on with you, that he canât just squeeze it to a pulp and boom, no more problems!
He knew you had your walls and such walls took time to lower to let him in. Floyd had the patience as a waiting moray eel, but if he had the proactiveness to actually act upon his patience? Thatâs a whole other story. When it came to you, he just wanted to see you happy and unbothered. All reasoning would flutter out the window.
It may or may not have taken a lot of squeezing and thinly veiled threats to your friends for them to fess up information you couldnât bear to unload on Floyd. A common name would be passed around, an ex from your past. Just the thought that someone else had their hands on you nearly made Floyd break bones if not for the pitiful yelps of your friends to release them in time.
Questions whirled in that skull of his. Why have you never brought this up to him? What did this ex do to you that made you shy away from him? Where was this scumbag now? All of these worries would bleed into his daily life and if it werenât for Jade and Azul to straighten him out, he would have been throwing tantrums left and right.
It wasnât until one day that all his frustrations would come to a boiling point into a final, satisfying crescendo. At least for him.
Work was to be done at Mostro Lounge. Floyd was on duty to be a waiter along with yourself. Both of you have opted to be in an awkward silence in your relationship and it was evident by how you both avoided one another, unsure of how to really talk about your issues.
Floyd had taken an order from a particular student, one he could easily sniff out as a rude bastard by his mannerisms and his tones. But if Floydâs temper got the better of him, heâd never hear the end of it from Azul. He would hand off the order to you to at least serve drinks.
Everything seemed normal until suddenly a glass shattered. All eyes shifted to you who shivered in place. The tray rattled in your hands and below you a cascade of broken glass.
âY-youâŠâ âThe fuckâŠ? What the hell are you doing here!? And look at what you did to my drink! Youâre still incompetent as ever, tch!â
You wanted to cry, scream, run away. You felt so ashamed, being treated like garbage again from an ex you swore youâd never let walk all over you again. But at the height of stress, you couldnât bring yourself to stand up for yourself. Pathetic, absolutely patheticâŠ
That is until a sing-song, nonchalant voice slid right up behind you. âAhhhh, what a shame. I apologize on the behalf of our lil waiter here. Theyâre just nervous is all. Here~ Why donât I make it up to ya? I can serve ya a drink right here, right now. On the house~â âFinally, some decent fucking serviceâŠâ
You looked up at Floyd and saw that dangerous glint in his eyes. How his pupils honed on the poor fool as his smile widened so tightly across his face. He reached for a spare glass that was left on the table, presented it with a flourish to your ex, and coyly said, âReadyyyy~? Watch carefully.â
Then, his hand flew so quick to grab a clump of your exâs hair and slammed it squarely on the glass. The crunch of glass, your scream, and the screech of chairs being pushed back as patrons jumped.
âGYAHAHA, YOU LIKE IT!? ITâS MOSTRO LOUNGEâS OWN PERSONAL RED. Ahhhh, but the red cominâ from you? Pfft, it ainât worth the shit under my shoeâŠâ Your ex could barely register what was even being said to him from the glass embedded in his face and blood gushing from his nose and broken lips.
Hands covered your mouth in terror as you could barely register what was happening. From panicked students screaming to Azul and Jade holding Floyd back from beating the poor ex to a pulp. All you could really register was the horrifying satisfaction deep in your chest, seeing the one who hurt you so much battered under the hand of someone who protected youâŠ
Leona has his own ways of caring but most of the time, if you cannot read between the lines, it may come off as uncaring.
He does care, but donât expect a coddling man rushing to be your knight when you are feeling sorry for yourself. The last thing he wants to do is pity you as he knows all too well the humiliation of being pitied.
Instead he observes, he watches, heâs keen to everything you do that isnât a part of your daily life. In sly ways, he tries to break your moments of dissociating. He calls your name sharply to snap you out of your funk and gives you a menial task.
Telling you to maybe preen his mane, join Ruggie on an errand, what have you. Itâs better to keep yourself occupied than whatever is plaguing your mindscape.
Sometimes, he will even abruptly lean against you, his weight toppling the both of you over. Even if you protest under him, he will insist heâs really tired and just wants something warm beside him to help him sleep. In truth, itâs just another way to stop your self-deprecating thoughts.
Though he will speak up in annoyance if your depressed thoughts start to bleed into your relationship. It will sting, but he means well. He tells you gruffly that heâs not in the mood to lay next to baggage. He wants only his partner, dammit.
You may argue, you may not, it depends on how you react but at the end of it, one way or another, youâre going to have to face him and this problem that hangs over you.
If you take time before approaching him or spill everything in one go, he will wait patiently and listen. But cowardice by running away he wonât accept and would want answers promptly.
One way or another, the truth has to come from you and you explain the thoughts that coil around you like a petulant serpent. A name and face that digs into your chest horribly. Your ex and the ways he has hurt you in many ways.
Leona listens stoically, letting you share your story before acknowledging and commending the strength it took for you to finally admit this. He knows all too well the pains of the past, he shares in your frustrations. But the past stays in the past for a reason.
Now itâs you and him now. You define yourselves here in the present. If anyone says otherwise? Well, heâd like to see them try.
Who would have known that such a time would come so soon when one day, someone had the gall to start harassing you right in the Savanaclaw dorm.
That same face that always lingered around you like a ghost was here right now in the flesh, taunting you at the edges of the Spelldrive field. Your ex sneered at you, wondering what the hell you were doing around here during his practice hours. Had the nerve to accuse you of stalking him despite your split.
Your anger boiled your blood, your face flushed. Your nerves alighted with a burning fury that made the dormâs dry heat pale in comparison. But your body did not respond to you. Your throat froze despite wanting to curse and yell out at your ex.
What neither you expected though while your mouth gasped for something, anything to throw at this scumbag, was a lionâs roar peeling across the field. A shadow loomed over your ex and both of you looked up to a silhouette blocking the sun and a pair of piercing green eyes.
Astride his broom, Leona stared squarely at the ex. âFor a minute, I thought I heard annoying squawks from a mangy vulture, but now I just see a whelp. Having the nerve to approach my partnerâŠâ
Without missing a beat, Leona lowered himself to the ground and sauntered right over to your ex. Your ex tried to stand his ground but anyone could tell he was practically shaking in his spot.
âSo.... What were you two talking about?â It was such a simple question. So trivial. But the way Leona spoke each word, it was like a pair of hungry jaws were ready to snap behind every syllable. He dared for your ex to slip up.
âN-nothing⊠Nothing at all⊠I was l-leavingâŠâ âHooo?â Leonaâs tail whipped behind him in amusement. âSo you just waltzed up to my partner and gawked at them? Nothing left your useless, flapping gums? I can hardly believe that.â
Leonaâs knuckles cracked as he flexed his hand and for a quick second, you swore you saw wind and dust particles gather between his finger tips. The air felt still and you heard your ex gulp audibly from a dry throat. Then, a sudden calmness.
âBut if you were just about to leave, then by all means, scurry along. I hate people wasting my time.â
To which your ex immediately did, turning on his heel, so close to make a run for it. Then, like a giant paw slamming atop a helpless mouse, Leonaâs hand roughly grabbed his shoulder and stopped him.
âA warning since Iâm feeling so generous today⊠Donât ever let me catch you near them again. Ya hear me? Or else, Iâll make you a nice addition to the scenery. We could always add more sand and bones.â Leona cracked a toothy smirk with darkness in his eyes. His fangs glinted in the sun and it was then you truly realized the fierce lion you had taken in as your boyfriend.

pretty paper
husband!joe x fem!reader
summary: you need joeâs help wrapping presents⊠what better way to get him to comply than asking him to unwrap you after?
warnings: 18+, MDNI. p in v, wrap it before ya tap it!! oral (m. & f. receiving), hair-pulling (slightly), spanking.
word count: 2.5k.
note: merry christmas eve đonly one more fic left of fic-mas! itâs been fun. title is from the song pretty paper by willie nelson, but the lyrics donât really apply here. hope you enjoy this one!
you were going to make joe wrap christmas presents with you.
sure, heâd probably be tired from practice and from the game earlier in the week, but you needed help. it was a blessing and a curse that gift-giving was one of your outgoing love languages.
youâd always been told you were thoughtful and a good listener, and thatâs what really helped you pick the perfect gifts for your loved ones. you made a mental note every time someone mentioned something they liked or wanted to you, and then you were really able to let that shine through in moments like these, holidays or birthdays.
the issue with this being your outgoing love language was that you were a bit of an overzealous shopper - you just didnât know when to stop. you had a mountain of presents to wrap now, and it was going to take you forever, unless you enlisted joeâs help.
you concocted the perfect plan to get him to help you.
you knew precisely when heâd be home, and you planned to have every gift sitting in the den, along with wrapping paper, tape, scissors and bows. you would cook him dinner, offer him to go take a shower if he didnât at the facility, and then the begging would start. you knew heâd deny you, but you didnât care. you were prepared to bring out the big guns.
about an hour and a half before joe was set to arrive home you headed upstairs to take a shower, washing your hair and quickly yet carefully running a razor over the parts of your body you wanted smooth.
you got out when you were satisfied, quickly wrapping a towel around your body, and then one around your hair. you lotioned up, put on deodorant and a spritz of perfume, and then you applied a thin coat of mascara.
you dried your hair halfway before getting frustrated with how long it was taking, and you thought half dry would be good enough anyway, so who really cared.
you checked the time on your phone and realized you only had about forty-five left. you quickly padded over to the bedroom and dropped your towel in the dirty hamper before opening your top drawer.
you pulled out the brand new lacy red lingerie set, admiring all the pieces as you laid them at the foot of your bed. you slipped the thong on first, pulling it up and making sure it felt right and was snug in all the right places.
the garter was next, you stepped into it and pulled it up to your waist, positioning it perfectly. you put the bra on last, fastening it on the tightest option to make sure your cleavage looked just right and that you were spilling perfectly over the cups, just a bit like you wanted. you walked to your closet, admiring yourself in the floor length mirror. you looked damn good.
inside the closet you grabbed the last pieces of your attire. you slid on a pair of red thigh-high stockings that had bows just at the top, and you fastened your garters to them.
next you slipped a pair of old gray sweats on, followed by your favorite band tee. you had to play it cool with joe to get this to work, so the most everyday inconspicuous outfit option was the best choice.
once you were satisfied with how you were dressed, you lugged all of the gifts downstairs, placing them on the floor and on the couch. you ran back up to grab the other essentials and then placed them on the coffee table before heading to the kitchen and starting dinner.
you decided on making steak and a few different vegetables, that way it wouldnât take so long and itâd still be a pretty good dinner. you cleaned your hands and started cooking, seasoning the meat well before tossing it in the pan. you started the vegetables next, and then you washed your hands before grabbing your phone and turning on your favorite playlist to jam while you cooked.
joe arrived home exactly on time, and as he walked through the door you saw him look over at your set-up in the den, giving it a side-eyed glance.
he walked into the kitchen where you were and immediately wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you into him and pressing his lips to your forehead. you laid the spatula you were holding down and then wrapped your arms around joeâs torso for a tight hug.
âdinner looks and smells great.â he says. he sounds tired, but he doesnât seem to be in a bad mood. youâll take that as a win.
âgo ahead and sit down. iâll make you and plate and then we can eat and after you shower maybe we can watch a movie or two.â you say, knowing thatâs not what you want him to do.
joe sits at the dining table, his gaze fixed on you. âi showered before i left, so⊠iâm good.â you bring his plate and yours to the table before grabbing drinks for yourselves.
he thanks you as you hand over his silverware and starts eating immediately, as do you. you donât do much talking during dinner, but you never really do. a comfortable silence settles over the room, and you and joe both are content being near each other.
he helps you clean a bit when youâre done eating and then he heads into the den with you on his heels. he side-eyes the presents and wrapping paper again.
âdo you have some elaborate plan to get me to help you wrap these or something? tryinâ to butter me up with dinner?â he asks, turning to face you. he pulls you into him again and runs a hand through your hair as he smirks down at you.
âitâs not gonna work, iâm not helping you wrap these.â
heâs still smirking as he speaks to you again. fine, time to bring out the big guns.
âthatâs fine. just sit down on the couch and pick a movie. iâll start wrapping.â
joe sits on the couch and you sit on the floor. you keep your eyes trained on him as he scrolls through the endless holiday movie selection before settling on a mutual favorite, the santa clause.
âthis good?â he asks, his eyes still focused on the screen. âperfect.â you answer. you take a small present and a roll of the paper and carefully measure it before cutting. you wrap it up nicely and add a little bow to it, along with writing the recipientâs name in cursive on the top. joe gives you a little glance, but he doesnât move to help you and he doesnât say anything.
âugh. itâs hot in here.â you complain, pretending to be warm. you fan yourself dramatically with your hand. joe looks over at you puzzled. âit feels pretty good to me, youâre hot?â
âburning up actually. iâm just gonnaâŠâ you start, your fingers tracing the hem of your shirt. joe stares at you, eager to see what youâre about to do. you lift the shirt over your head in a fluid motion, tossing it in the corner. his eyes nearly pop out of his head.
you lock your gaze with his and he licks his lips before speaking, his voice almost coming out as a croak. âis-is that new?â he asks, leaning forward. his feet are now on the floor rather than propped on the couch, and his elbows rest on his thighs, just above the knee.
youâre still sitting cross-legged on the floor facing him, but you lean back and hold your weight on your hands behind you, giving joe the full view of the lacy red bra and what itâs doing for your cleavage as you toss your hair over your shoulder. he canât resist, he comes down off the couch and leans over you, taking one of your breasts in his hand while attaching his lips to your neck.
âah-ah.â you tut, pushing him off. âyou only get to unwrap me and the rest of my pretty paper if you help me wrap these gifts.â he rolls his neck and moans as he leans back, the noise sending a thrill straight through your core.
âthereâs more? itâs a whole set?â he asks, making no effort to hide the fact that his gaze was lingering on your barely covered chest. âitâs a set.â you say, smiling to yourself.
you knew this would work. now, was bribery okay? not always. but if it meant you got help wrapping these presents AND to fuck your husband afterward⊠it seemed like it could be okay, just this once.
âčàšà§ïž¶ïž¶âč âčàšà§ïž¶ïž¶âč
joe was wrapping presents like a mad man. they all looked pristine, too. it figured that heâd be great at wrapping presents considering his whole job mostly revolved around his hands, but you were impressed.
once you promised him heâd get to unwrap his present after this, he wouldnât stop wrapping them as fast as he could and handing them off to you for labels and bows. there were two gifts left to do and you each took one, cutting your paper and taping them up all nice and neat. you placed them into the neat stack and let out a contented sigh before looking back at joe. he was smirking, but you knew he was playing cool. that hard tough exterior was ready to crack any moment.
you stood from the floor, stretching out your limbs, your arms held up over your head. âgoddamn.â you heard joe mutter. your fingertips slipped into the waistband of your sweats, pulling them down your legs quickly. you stepped out of them as you stood exposed in front of joe. his mouth hung open as he took in the sight of you, your lacy red lingerie set and thigh high stockings.
âthis is the best present iâve ever received in my life.â
âwanna unwrap me?â you tease, stepping closer to him. you grab his right hand and place it on your breast before grabbing his left and placing it right on your ass. âfuck.â he moans, bringing his lips back to your neck. his tongue leaves a hot, wet trail along the column of your throat as his hands knead your breast and ass, and your hands tug at his hair as you softly moan at the pleasure.
joe breaks away from kissing you to grab your hand and lead you down the hall to your shared bedroom. once inside he starts shedding his clothes quickly, and although itâs not the sexiest way to go about it, youâre still ready to jump his bones. you can see his cock straining in his boxers as you step toward him again. you trace your fingertips along the waistband and he shudders.
you pull his boxers down quickly and fall to your knees in front of him, lightly wrapping your hand around his cock. slowly, you lean forward, taking the tip into your mouth and giving it a small suck. you pull off and trace your tongue along the line of his cock before taking it fully back into your mouth and bobbing your head.
what you canât fit into your mouth you work with your hand, and joeâs fingers dig into your scalp as he tugs at your hair. you look up at him through your lashes and you moan, sending the vibrations straight through his length.
joe pulls you off and helps you stand, guiding you toward the bed quickly. you get up and lie on your back, watching joe as he stalks toward you like predator to prey. he crawls over you on the bed and unfastens the garter from your stockings so he can pull the thong off you, and he tosses it to the floor.
you spread your legs for him confidently, showing off your glistening folds and the wetness that has spread to your thighs. joe moans again, leaning forward. âyouâre gonna be the fuckinâ death of me, you know that?â he asks before leaning forward and pressing a kiss to your clit.
your response back is a moan, and you instinctively want to close your thighs around joeâs head, but he holds them open with his large hands. he licks a long languid stripe up your core, licking and slurping as he devours you wholly. his mouth teases you all over, licking and sucking you as you grip the bedsheets with white knuckles.
after what seems like forever he stops, and you whine from the loss of contact as he crawls up your body. you look down and you can see that heâs still rock hard, his cock red and angry.
âthatâs enough, princess. i gotta fuck you now.â
âplease, joe.â you beg, scratching your nails down his back. his large hands grip your hips and roll you over, and you arch your back as his hands pull your hips into the air. he teases you with the tip for a few seconds before sliding into you fully.
âfuuuuuuuuuuck.â you draw out, your hands fisting the sheets again. joe stays still, but his large right hand comes down hard on your ass, a loud crack sounding through the room. you hiss at the contact and squeeze around him.
joe pulls back fully before gripping your hips and slamming into you again, his pace immediately rough. your moans and cries reverberate through the room as joe slams his hips into you. he watches your ass bounce against him as he fucks you from behind, the sight enough to make him cum almost immediately.
your fingers find your clit as joe continues fucking you, and you rub tight circles over it as joe works you to the edge. âiâm close, joey.â you warn, and he smacks your ass again as he nails you with a particularly hard thrust. thatâs all it takes to send you toppling over the edge, your orgasm rushing over your body, heating your skin as if youâd been soaked in hot water or coated in hot wax.
joe cums soon after, you can feel the hot white strands painting your insides as his fingers bruise your hips from their strong grip. he pulls out and you wince, rolling over as you watch him plop down next to you. neither of you say a word for a few minutes, you need to catch your breath. your eyes are heavy, but joe makes a sudden movement that startles you.
he goes back down to the foot of the bed, positioning himself between your legs again as he begins to pull off one of your stockings.
âwhatâre you doing?â you ask him, his mouth trailing slow kisses up your ankle and calf. âlook at all this stuff youâre still wearing,â he says, planting a kiss to your inner thigh. âi only got your panties off.â
his eyes rake over your heat again as he watches his cum drip from your swollen cunt. âiâm not anywhere close to finished unwrapping you yet.â

König x Fem! Reader â Stranded
König x Fem! Reader
Word count: 5,833
Notes: reader gets stranded on an island, use of (y/n), fluffy at the end.
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
(Y/n) wasnât so sure how she had survived a natural disaster such as she did. But here she was, proof that miracles do happen.
Her eyes were blurry as the tears welled up in her eyes as she looked around the abandoned beach. No one was left in the small boat she had been traveling on. Her assumption was that she was the only one.
She thought she was alone and left to die in this hellscape no matter how beautiful it truly was. There was no time to take in the beauty when panic settled in her soul.
She was in pain and felt like she went through a terrible beating. Her eyes glanced back at the boat as she saw it washed ashore broken in half and clearly not being able to be sailed back into the mighty sea Poseidon ruled over.
She had just woken up a bit ago, finding herself ashore laying in the sand as her summer dress didnât do a good job at keeping her cool in the sweltering heat.
She had a massive headache, and her body ached worse than anything. She had a few minor scrapes except for her forearms that had been scratched up a bit heavily either due to maybe the boat capsizing at times during the storm, or for other reasons when she was unconscious.
Her eyes glanced back at the boat as it was clear no passengers were left having been through such a rough water spout that had ripped the boat in half.
She was lucky she even survived this far. She hoped partially she would be able to live to tell the tale, but then again, she had no survival skills.
She was doomed. That was all she knew.
Why? She thought traveling by boat from Belgium back to America would be a fun little trip to end her Europe tour, but it ended up being a disaster, one she wouldnât make again by choice and one she may not get to make ever again.
âDu bist endlich aufgewacht und hier dachte ich, ich mĂŒsste dich mit den Massen begraben.â ("You finally woke up and here I thought I had to bury you with the masses.")
Her eyes glanced back at a large man who spoke another language she didnât know at all. He was large and tall and quite frankly scary with that mask he wore over his head. He was garnished in medals and a military uniform with Austriaâs flag on it.
He must have been speaking German.
âKatze hat deine Zunge? Sprichst du Deutsch?" (âCat has your tongue? Do you speak German?â) he spoke as he knelt in front of you checking you over.
âI-ich, spreche kein Deutsch.â She uttered softly. âEs tut mir leid.â
Thatâs all the German she knew. Thatâs all her great grandfather had taught her when he was alive. He was from Germany and had migrated to America during the second world war since he was a Jew. From there he met his wife and her great grandmother who was a catholic and he was a Jew. It was a weird combo but they made it work and loved each other a lot.
âAh, I see.â His English was amazing, he had a deep accent but he was understandable and that helped ease her mind.
She wished she could be fluent in another language but it was so daunting and scary to learn another language. Especially when English was such a difficult language and not like the other ones.
In the distance the sky was growing dark and hazy.
The soldier had been keeping his eye on it as (y/n) felt nervous and terrified. She didnât like storms, and she didnât like being stranded either. It seemed she was facing all sorts of fears today. How delightful.
He tended to the cuts on your forearm, having wrapped them up with bandages as he spoke softly.
âMy name is König, yours?â His eyes looked up at her.
â(Y/n),â she said softly. âMy name is (y/n).â She nodded. He gently tucked the cloth into itself as he tucked her arm close to her. He was being so gentle for being such a tall muscular man. (Y/n) had thought maybe he wouldnât know his own strength but that didnât seem to be the case. He was gentle and careful and made sure not to make any movements to scare her.
âAre we the only survivors?â She asked her eyes looking at the wreckage.
König's eyes glanced at her. He looked back at the wreckage. He seemed to be thinking about what to say.
âDo not go near the wreckage, we are the only survivors.â He said softly. She would heed his warning having a weak stomach was something she did struggle with, a reason why she didnât watch movies like horror or thriller. Anything that showed disgusting scenes she was out for the count.
The universe seemed to be on her side leaving some military man as her other sole survivor. Maybe she would make it home one day. Maybe she would go home and see her family and hug her family cat again.
God how she missed that little devil that ran around at midnight.
Most of all she just wished she could close her eyes and wake up in her bed again, but she couldnât. She was a long way from her bed.
Days and nights started to blur and she was left wondering if anyone knew the boat had crashed. Was someone on their way to rescue her and König?
âCome, letâs set up a fire.â König guided her to the little camp they had set up. Things were getting better situated as time went on. So far they had been stranded for a week, and König was keeping them well safe out here in the wilderness. He was the sole provider having years of experience being able to survive in treacherous areas such as this.
She was getting used to eating the animals he hunted though she did get queasy at the thought of some of them.
âAre you a part of the military in Austria?â She asked. For this last week it had been mostly silence. On both ends, talking here and there but not conversations. Neither of them had conversations.
âColonel in the Austrian military, now an operator for KorTac, a private military that gets contracted out for whoever wants our services.â He said softly as his eyes never left the flame he was trying to produce with the flint he had found and the rock he had. He just needed to make a spark, thatâs all he needed. âI was leaving a Austrian militia event and returning back to my KorTac base taking the boat.â He said softly, finally achieving the fire he wanted.
âOh,â she smiled softly. âIâm surprised you traveled by boat, wouldnât a plane get you home earlier.â
âMmm,â he shrugged as he stacked dry wood up.
She felt like he wasnât feeling very chatty and it made her a bit self conscious. âTell me why you were far from home schatz?â His blue eyes looked up at her.
âM-me.â She said softly. âO-oh, well.â She got a bit flustered. âI took a big trip for work. I'm a travel writer for a popular magazine and I traveled to the UK, Denmark, Paris, and France and lastly Belgium.â She spoke quietly. âThen I booked a boat ride home with this company, back to the states where I could then go back to work.â She said softly. âItâs boring.â
âMmm, no itâs quite interesting.â He said softly as he speared a few things of meat as he started to cook them for the two.
âI imagine my boss is wondering where I am.â (Y/n) spoke softly. âProbably writing emails trying to see if I stayed in one of the countries or if Iâm ever coming home.â She smiled softly but it turned into a frown. âI miss home.â
König did too, he missed home as much as she did.
âSomeoneâs out there looking for us, I know.â He told her reassuringly.
âI hope so.â
The nights had started off warm, but now they were getting cold. König had said it was a storm blowing in, so he made their hut sturdy and kept her close to him at night time. Her face was nuzzled into his chest as she would sometimes listen to the ocean waves as they crashed against the coast.
âYou're still up schatz?â König shifted a bit as his thumb rubbed against her back.
âDid I wake you?â She asked softly.
âNo, Schatz, nein.â He cooed softly. âJust woke up on my own accord.â He hummed.
She nodded as she listened to the ocean again. König was doing the same thing as he rested a hand behind his head as his other arm was asleep, giving it up to her to use as a pillow. He wanted her comfortable, and she was. She was coming to rely on him and feel afraid when he left. It got to the point that she followed quietly when he hunted or stayed close by as close as possible.
âWhatâs on your mind tonight.â He asked softly.
âWhat tomorrow will bring.â She said softly. âMaybe a rescue crew.â She nodded her head.
âWe can dream, but donât get your hopes up.â He was realistic.
âDo you miss home?â (Y/n) asked as she looked up at him.
âI miss Home, I do, liebling.â He said quietly.
Outside random frogs were croaking and random animals were making sounds.
She was so grateful to have found a crystal clear body of water to bathe in not too long ago. Her and König would take turns and it made things so much better as she wasnât feeling embarrassed about sweating as much. Now she didnât mind being curled next to him as they slept. A week ago, she would have been repulsed and kept on her side away from König because she felt stinky and quite frankly didnât want him to smell her body odor she had collected from her wonderful journey in the wilderness.
âIn the little town I live in, thereâs this bakery,â She hummed softly. âThey make the best apple crumble.â She hummed softly. âIâm craving it right now.â She giggled softly.
âMmm, and here I was craving a bratwurst and the best Austrian bier.â He chuckled, his chest rumbling and causing her giggle.
âBier! Nein! Das ist nicht lecker.â (Beer, no, that is not tasty!â) she had been slowly picking up German from him. Having been near him for about three weeks he was filling in some words with phrases teaching her without any of them noticing,
âOh, now you spreche Deutch.â He teased her softly.
âPicked up a bit.â She hummed. âLikeâŠoh!â She cleared her throat. âDu bist ein stĂŒck ScheiĂe.â She paused. âYou said that when you were angry at the fire.â
âMmm,â he chuckled. âLanguage.â He patted her back. âLeave the foul mouthed cuss words to me.â
She giggled softly. âYes colonel.â She smiled up at him. âI sometimes think about the people who are worried sick about me, like my mother and father, my sister, they have no way to contact me and I canât contact them to let them know Iâm safe.â (Y/n) said softly as she looked out at the ocean. âDo you have people at home waiting for you, worried sick?â
Her eyes traveled back up to him as her hand rested on his chest.
âMeine Mutter und mein Vater.â He hummed. âI call them every night, but theyâve gone a few weeks without it.â He chuckled softly. âMaybe they think I went on an important mission.â He hummed softly. âThatâs all that would worry other than my team.â He said softly. âIâll get you home, I promise.â
She smiled softly at his promise. âI trust you colonel.â
»»ââââ-ăâăââââ-««
Finding a water source that offered crystal clear water had made things ten times easier. The ocean was great but it was salty and one couldnât survive off of that unless they wanted to be dehydrated and dead by the end of the week with this sweltering heat. König had found that it was coming from a spring that trickled down from a mountain.
(Y/n)âs first thought was, it must not have been that small of an island, maybe they were on an island with civilian life. If that was the case then they needed to find people, find a town, something.
âIt's not safe to leave what we created here.â König was stern when he said that. âWe leave this behind, we risk having to survive in a new location thatâs why we havenât gone far.â
âButââ
âNo buts schatz, what if you donât have that spring water and itâs just saltwater bubbling up through the sandy terrain making a body of saltwater. Hmm?â König asked. âYou donât have fresh water now. Liebling, trust me.â
âI trust you.â She said softly as the two sat back down having lunch. He tucked her close to him as he nuzzled the top of her head.
âIâll get you home, right now our best bet is to stick close to the wreckage cause thatâs what they are looking for.â König hummed as his thumb rubbed soothing circles on her waist.
It was logical, you're missing a colonel and a boat full of people, what are you looking for, not random people walking around. A boat. You're looking for a boat.
She was ready to feel the grass between her toes and hopefully not the damn sand anymore.
Needless to say, she didnât need to take a beach vacation in the next 10 years. She was all beached out. Three weeks felt like a lifetime to her right now, it felt like entirely too much time to be stranded.
Her and König, though, had grown a stronger bond. König kept watch over her, made sure she was safe, made sure she was well fed even if she didnât eat all that much since she was cautious of the food. He could tell she wasnât used to eating wild animals, fresh just hunted.
âYou got a man waiting for you back at home.â König asked that night as they stared at the stars laying under the canopy of the sky. Her head was on his chest as she listened to his voice rumble from deep within his chest.
âNo.â She said softly. âJust me.â Her eyes glanced up at the sky.
She didnât have a guy or a gal waiting for her back at home. It was just her and her alone. She had been on a few dates but her job consisted of traveling often and writing, and potential partners just didnât like the fact that sheâd be traveling all the time if her boss sent her somewhere. They were self conscious, and that was fine. So it was just her, just (y/n) and it was okay.
âMmm, such a pretty little schatz like you would be swiped up fast where I grew up.â He smiled at her.
âPeople donât like the traveling I do.â She informed him. The sound of the ocean breeze blowing the palm trees behind them is comforting. It soothed her soul more than anything at the moment. It reminded her of nights where she would sit on her breeze-way and listen to the nature around her as she would read a book.
Part of her wished König would stay with her, part of her wished he would. He was charming and sweet and she felt like she was falling for him slowly. Maybe it was because they were both living such a traumatic event, like surviving a boat crash or trying.
She could remember the night the captain told everyone to essentially buckle up and go below deck because the waves were massive and a few times they capsized. It wasnât a huge cruise boat that transported people, it was a smaller size that carried at most 30 people. Still, it capsized a few times and then things were over when the water spout had picked them up and carried them.
It was an act of Mother Nature telling them to get away.
She had nightmares of it, often, almost every night.
She could remember the fear as she laid in her bunk. She would roll with the boat hoping for some miracle especially when it capsized.
The captain had said there was no worries when it coasized because the boat was made to flip back over, but still it had a small window of failure. Not everything worked 100 percent of the time.
âPeople should want to travel with you.â König hummed. âSee the world, they're just scared.â
She hummed softly. âYou think so.â She thought about it for a second. âMaybe they are scared.â She agreed softly as she bit her lip. âDo you have a partner?â
âNah, just me too.â He acknowledged. âBeen just me since I joined the military.â
âWhat was the military like?â She asked softly.
König wasnât afraid to tell her. He liked their conversations. Enjoying how the two could talk about anything and it was easy. He never had that with anyone especially with his social anxiety he had obtained a while back. He didnât feel like he had suffered with his severe anxiety at all during this stranded journey. He felt almost at peace and he wasnât sure if it was because of the lack of people around him or if it was physically her calming him down by just being near him. It was like a flip had switched off and he took to protecting her like it was the last thing he would ever do. He took the mission and took to putting his heart into it.
âI suffered from severe social anxiety,â he said softly as he kept his blue eyes locked onto the starry night sky. âBullied often for it, so my childhood was one thing.â He tugged her closer keeping her tight against his side. His other hand rested on his stomach as he rubbed it softly feeling calm at the moment. âSo at the age of 17, I joined the military, I wanted to be a sniper, but I grew to be too big to be that and I couldnât sit still enough.â He chuckled softly. âSo I was an insertion specialist. From there I rose from the ranks and became a colonel.â He hummed softly. âI just recently joined KorTac, itâs not like serving my country. Itâs a weird thing, Iâm not so sure how much I like it.â He rubbed his thumb in her back as he soothed himself and her. âBut Iâm not one to quit, I see things through.â
âAs my dad always says, you have to give things time, feel it out.â She hummed agreeing with him.
âThatâs a good way of putting it, schatz.â
»»ââââ-ăâăââââ-««
More time had passed as they had now been stranded for exactly two months.
Two months.
(Y/n) was losing her mind. When were they coming to rescue her and König were they getting rescued? At this point probably not.
She wondered if anyone was even looking, were they out there searching, or were they sitting at home watching movies and kicking their feet back and forth giggling.
She was frustrated, and she knew König was as well, but he held it together for her.
He swallowed his anxiety that was slowly starting to creep into his system and tried to hold it together for her.
There were many times like now he had to walk off and let her know he would be right back so he could get the worry and anxiety out of his system.
He sat on a log in the forest a far enough distance away that he could still see her partially and hear her if he screamed.
He sat bouncing his leg as he whistled nervously trying to calm the rising nerves in his system. It was getting harder to fight off the anxiety and harder to fight the constant panic that surged through him.
His eyes flickered around the vast forest scenery. The area was beautiful, it would be beautiful to visit if traveling. Being stranded was a different story.
König took a deep breath as his leg slowly stopped shaking and he stopped fiddling with his military uniform. His eyes glanced back down at his hands as he shook off the fear that tried to consume him and he started to slowly make his way back to the camp they had set up.
Things were going to be just fines
He had to often remind himself that everything was going to be okay. That everything would work out in ways that it should.
He came back to camp to see the woman figuring herself, the fear that probably consumed her. The thought of her having been alone for a bit had terrified her.
He took a deep breath reminding himself to be calm and collected as he approached.
âHmmm, Liebling, donât fret.â König sat on a log beside her. âGonna get you home schatz.â His hand rested on the back of her head pulling her into his chest. âIâve kept us alive this far, gonna keep us alive for longer.â
She wrapped her arms around him as she hugged him tightly. She trusted him with her life.
Though it didnât mean that she still didnât want to rip her hair out of her head and cry nonstop. She was struggling and she was struggling with a lot of different things. Struggling with the idea of never making it home. Struggling with the idea of dying here with König, or letâs be honest even struggling with the idea she might just be König meal soon enough if they ever ran out of huntable food.
She didnât want to be a snack to the Austrian giant. And it wasnât even going to be the good type of intimate snack she was physically going to be his meal if they donât get off this island.
Maybe it was a weird fear of hers, but it was logicalâŠright? If they had to survive on this island for another 9 months. Fruit only grew in one season, and animals could only repopulate so fast. That was her logic and right now her logic was far from a normal person's logic.
It was a small percentage of her being his snack, but that one percent was still there. It was still thereâŠ
âCome letâs get a bath.â He cooed softly.
Bath time used to be one standing guard and the other one bathing and then switching. Due to her fear, it had become a joint event. Why?
(Y/n)⊠she had become so dependent on König she became fearful of being away from him for long periods of time.
Probably a reason why she thought she would be eaten first, get rid of the one who relies on the other.
She had to have König beside her even if that meant he had to see her naked body, she didnât care at this point.
She scrubbed her shoulders making sure all the dirt and grime were off her skin. She paused as she looked back at König having felt his eyes on her.
She felt that cold chill and the goosebumps rise. She slowly turned around and surely enough König was staring at her.
âSomething wrong?â She asked softly. Her eyes flickered from his bare chest up to his eyes. He had finally let her see his face, something she didnât think sheâd ever be blessed to see. Truly she didnât need to see it either.
âN-nothing schatz.â He looked away embarrassed as he went back to scrubbing his own skin.
âHeâs going to eat me!â She thought to herself as she turned around slowly. She was being so illogical right now. They still had plenty of food options. She wasnât going to be a snackâŠyet.
âHere Schatz." König's hands brushed against her hip as she jumped slightly. âEs tut mir leid, didnât mean to startle you.â His voice was soft and gentle. âYou okay?â He asked softly.
âMâokay.â She nodded as she leaned into his hands as they rubbed across her back cleaning her up.
âYouâve been jumpy more often.â He said softly.
She has been, she was just on edge lately, afraid she would never make it home.
âHave I?â She hummed softly as he brushed her hair from her back scrubbing her clean.
âJust a bit.â He nodded softly. When he was done he turned her around to look down at her. His large hands gently brushed her hair away. As he looked down at her face taking in her soft eyes that looked up at him.
His hands were calloused but gentle. She didnât mind them touching her. It gave her a sense of ease and a sense of comfort.
Her head leaned into his large palm as she closed her eyes.
There was this sense of serene calmness at the moment, and neither of them minded. His forehead leaned down against her as he reassured her quietly.
âWeâll be fine, I promise schatz.â He hummed softly. âWe will be just fine.â
She trusted those words. She had spent two months with this man. Two months of being close to him and bathing with him. Two months of practically being his own companion, a dependent one, but a companion nonetheless.
Her eyes looked at him as she gently cupped his face. Her body got smooshed against his as his hands found her waist.
Before the two could think straight they had their lips on one and another. It was a soft and tender kiss, one that had been slow and full of passion. The two had been cresting this bond over their time of being stranded. Starting with small conversation at night too laying close in each other's arms, now bathing with one another.
This had brought them together.
âKönig.â She said softly.
"Mein Liebling." He said softly.
âThank you.â You said softly. âThank you for keeping me safe.â She uttered softly.
âIâd do it all over again.â He hummed. âMein Liebling."
»»ââââ-ăâăââââ-««
(Y/n) helped König watch the food that was roasting over the fire. She was tucked close to him as she could her hands traced over his forearms as she watched the waves crash into the beach.
She felt giddy after the kiss they shared three days ago, though she was afraid to initiate another kiss though. To be frank König was as well. The two would lean in close and then get embarrassed and look away as if they werenât just about to kiss.
They had more important matters right? Like getting off this island they had become stranded on.
âYou have very beautiful eyes.â König hummed softly.
âMmm,â a smile formed on her face as she looked up at König. âDo I?â She said bashfully.
âJa,â he smiled at her.
âI donât think they're as pretty as yours, yours are like the ocean.â She hummed softly. âI could get lost in them.â She spoke quietly. She leaned forward and cupped his face.
She was going to kiss him this time, there was no running away from it. She wanted this.
âJust kiss him, just kiss him!â She thought in her mind. It was a whole internal battle in her mind. She wanted his lips on hers, thatâs all she wanted.
âWhat is it, schatz?â He asked softly. He touched his face thinking there was something in it.
She lurched forward and kissed him. Her hands found their way in his hair as he tugged her closer.
âYou like to tease me schatz.â He chuckled as he pulled away looking at her.
âI donât mean too.â She giggled as her soft smile graced him. He wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her closer.
âSure.â He rubbed his thumb on her waist. âSure.â He teased softly. His lips leaned down and snatched a kiss away from her as she.
The two stayed close to each other for the rest of the day, resting and gaining back some energy. They watched the ocean and chatted to one another about random things. They didnât want the day to end, they didnât want this happiness to end.
Yeah they were terrified but they didnât want the happiness they served one and another to end. They always wanted to be with one another.
The world had other plans though, it always did.
Who knew that night the rescue crew would find them. Who knew it would be KorTac, pulling their colonel away from the woman who had been stranded with him. Pulling her to the other side of the helicopter to get checked over while soldiers talked to their colonel.
âKönig,â she uttered in fear as she pushed herself more into the corner. These medics surrounded her and spoke to her softly.
âColonel König is needed for something,â a medic hummed as she tried to give a fluid IV to the woman.
âKönig,â she said louder, getting frantic. âNo, no, donât touch me!â She shrieked as she scurried back more.
It got König attention fast. He pushed his way out of the men that surrounded him and looked at the medic with a glare.
âDonât you lay a hand on her.â He snarled as he quickly cupped her face in his hands. âMein Liebling, Du bist okay.â He hummed softly. âIâm here.â
The medic watched as König gently sat beside (y/n), dehydrating himself, but instantly calming her down. The woman curled into his arms as she squirmed away from the medics.
âColonel, we just need to give her an Iv.â The female medic spoke softly.
He paused as he looked at the medic then down at the woman who was hiding her face in the string Austrians arms. He sighed softly as he cupped the back of her head in his hands.
He knew she needed the IV, she needed the fluid and so did he. He nodded slowly as he leaned down to her softly cooing sweet nothings into her ear to ease her fear.
âThey will not hurt you, let them give you the IV so we can get you some fluid.â He hushed her softly. âHmm?â
âOkay,â she said softly.
(Y/n) had become so in need of König, she was afraid to be separated from him in general. She needed to be beside him the whole entire time. She was fearful, and he wasnât going to lie, he was under a lot of stress when his men had surrounded him and she was nowhere to be found.
He needed her in his sight so he could make sure she was safe, he felt like it was his only duty. The helicopter ride was stressful for the two. Constantly being bugged when they wanted to slowly digest this moment that they were going home. They were finally going home.
âYour mama and Vati, they wonât be so worried now.â She said softly. âTheyâll know you're safe.â
âHmm,â he hummed softly, nuzzling into her hair. âYour mutter and Vater will be happy to see their precious daughter too.â
When reunited with family (y/n) stuck close to König afraid to move away as her parents greeted her. She was afraid this was all a dream and sheâd wake up back on the island but this time, without König. It was as if sheâd walk away, she'd be there again and sheâd be alone this time.
âYou're alive.â Her mother sobbed as her father thanked König himself,
âThank you for keeping our daughter safe.â He thanked König. âWe owe you everything.â Her father held tears in his eyes looking up at the Austrian who towered over him.
König looked at (y/n) then back at her father.
âYou donât owe me anything,â he said softly. A smile graced his face. âIâd protect her with my life every time.â
âOh thank you, thank you.â Her mother cupped Kongâs face giving him kisses on his cheek. âWe owe you everything, you kept our girl safe. You're both safe though, you're both safe.â
Kining smiled as he hugged the woman feeling a sense of comfort and love. He now knew where (y/n) got it from, both her parents were loving people.
Her parents had fallen in love with him right away, just like his parents fell for (y/n). They could see the connection the two had to offer for one and another, there was just this connection.
And they read the room correctly, because a year later the two were married, just having known this is what they wanted. They were content with one and another, happy, and felt safe with one and another.
Thanks to a little magicâtraumatic magicâfrom Mother Nature.
»»ââââ-ăâăââââ-««
âThatâs how you met mama?â Their older son sat in the recliner as he watched his Vati put a coffee table together,
âThatâs how I met your mutter, ja.â He hummed softly as he smiled. âYour gorgeous mutter couldnât not fall for me when I carried her to the little shelter I made.â König puffed his chest out.
âHe didnât carry me, I walked.â (Y/n) smiled at her son. âPapa tells slight fibs, we did meet on an island, stranded, only survivors.â She hummed as she carried a little baby. âTwo grueling months of papa hunting and keeping me safe.â (Y/n) cooed softly. âPapa, was scared but put on a brave face for mama.â
âPapa was brave?â Ryker asked softly as he leaned forward with his teddy bear in his arm.
âPapa is always brave.â (Y/n) leaned down and kissed König on the cheek.
âYou're too sweet, schatz.â He cooed to her softly.
âMama, did you like Vati right away?â Ryker asked as she sat down on the other recliner rocking the baby. Ryker hoped to her chair cuddling against her.
âVati was very handsome, in his uniform, and speaking his native tongue to me.â She smiled at him. âBut Vati and I didnât connect until closer to the end of our veryâŠexciting adventure.â She found key words to use for it.
âMmm,â König smiled. âVati had the looks then.â He added.
âVati still has the looks.â (Y/n) added.
âSo does mama,â he chuckled. âPretty schatz.â
âIs he your hero?â Ryker asked.
âYes, Vati is my hero.â She smiled. âAnd grandpaâs and grandmaâs hero.â
âYour mama is GroĂmutters und GroĂvaters hero too.â König smirked as he had the table halfway built.
âWhy?â Ryker asked.
âYeah why?â (Y/n) cocked her head to the side smiling, curious of the answer.
âBecause mama married your grumpy Vati!â He punched ticking Ryker as their son cried squirming on (y/n)âs lap trying to get away from his father. âVati didnât think heâd ever get married let alone to your uber pretty mama.â
âKönig,â (y/n) giggled as she cupped a hand underneath his chin gently tickling him. âYou're such a tease.â She smiled.
âYou tamed the grumpy Vati.â Ryker giggled.
âMama knows how to keep Vati in check, at times.â She giggled, leaning forward and kissing the man on the lips as the baby cooed softly in her arms.
âMy precious family.â He hummed against her lips. âYou're my hero schatz.â He said softly as he looked up at her.
âI think we both know the hero in our story is you though.â She hummed against his lips. âYou saved my life.â
âIâll save you in every life.â He told her.
She smiled and repliedâwith a soft, âI know you will.â
âââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
Hi! I hope you enjoyed, this isnât my greatest work but I enjoyed writing it! I thought it started off strongly in my opinion and then it dwindled but Iâm still proud of it because we canât have perfect days! Anyways, enjoy! âšđ

Horse Riding lesson! đŽ
Wrote a short scene for this cause my mind wouldn't stop replaying it over and over while I worked this.
-
Struggling against the rag that bound his hands behind his back, he tried to ignore the chuckle from the man who put him in this position. "Stanley! Y'know this was not what I was referring to when I asked for your assistance when learning to ride a horse!"
"Aww, sug'r~" Stan's throaty purr sent a wave of heat up Ford's spine. "This is gonna help ya, you hafta learn to stay on yer mount if ya gonna be ridin' it."
"Then why must I be in your lap, instead of practicing on an actual horse? And why do you insist on chewing on that?"
"Becuz darlin' it's like chewing gum in a way." Stan pinched the wheat between his teeth. "And the last time you tried to ride a horse, you ended up in the horse's trough. Remember?"
"Don't remind me," Ford groaned as another chuckle tumbled from his brother. "But I don't see how your argument counters, the fact that I can't practice on a real horse."
"N' all honesty, I'm all the practice yur gonna need. Y'know I got all the horsepower." He ran his hands up Ford's thighs as he moved to give his butt a squeeze. "I mean, I know yur buns do~"
"St-Stanely," Ford gritted his teeth, as blood rushed across his face.
"Wha? Ain't like I'm lyin', I can still hear yur pretty voice singin' my name as we fucked n' the barn." Caressing his twin's sides as the memory replayed.
"And I still remember all the prude language that left your mouth too," Ford grumbled at the strong hands that danced along his trunk and ushered forth another wave of satisfying warmth.
"N' I still remember how disheveled yur hair was while your face was redder than that time ma got mad at us for playin' in mud after she just washed our clothes."
"I also remember dad chasing us because they were our good clothes too," he smiled as the sound of Stan's laughter rang in the air, like music to his ears. He listened to the tune a little longer before he cleared his throat. "So about my lesson, are you gonna help me or not?"
"Sure am darlin'," Stan spat out the wheat before he leaned up to capture his brother's lips. Stan strummed Ford's cords, drawing out lustful melodic moans as he stuck his tongue into Ford's mouth. Joining in on the song libidinous desires. He bucked his hips to usher out another chorus of bubbling lust between them.
Pausing their record, Stan drew back to get a look at Ford as he panted through closed eyes with a cherry-red bridge stretching across his face. Admiring how the sunset streaming through the widow panted his brother's features.
"I say we take this to the bedroom," Stan purred, tightening his hold on his brother. He stood up from the couch, tossing his brother over his shoulder. "Alrighty cowboy, let's go give ya that lesson~" Smacking his brother's butt as he sauntered to their room.
"St-Stanley, w-wait, this isn't what I was referring to!" He squirmed, as he was carried out of the den, up the stairs, and down the hall toward their room.
"Stanleeeyyy!" Ford shouted as the bedroom door was shut and locked behind them.
-
Had a ton of fun writing that, lol. This is my second time drawing ranch life/cowboy 30!stans. (Honestly, I should draw them more often. Because Stan's with that hair is doing something for međ„”.) The first time I drew them was two years ago for another set of Halloween stancest drawings I did. The drawings. I had liked this au idea so much that I wrote a fic about it but never actually finished itđ
So maybe I'll do that sometime soon... Anyway, have some ranch life stancest! đ§Ąđ€

Just wanted to pop in and say that I love your writing âš it makes my day when you post!
Also whenever you have time and the motivation, would it be okay to have another part to the polar bear reader?
Thank you! Hopefully Iâll be able to keep making these stories!
Part 1
Warnings: Minimum nsfw themes and a bit of fluff, I kinda rushed this so please let me know if there are any mistakes. Constructive criticism is welcomed
Price wasnât sneaky. At least with you he wasnât. Your monster form was more adapted to the wild than his. You were younger, faster. Even though he was undoubtedly stronger than you he wouldnât be able to use it if you could always outrun him. Your jaws were more powerful than his and yet you surrounded yourself with him.
Sometimes the older male wondered why. If he were you he wouldnât even spare himself a glance. Heâd try to find someone stronger than himself.
âStop thinking so hard about it.â Y/nâs voice snapped Price out of his thoughts. She laid on the snowy ground, chewing on a bloodied bone from a human sheâd hunted.
âHard not to when spring is coming around.â Price said in a gruff voice. Thatâs right, mating season was coming quickly. The more he looked at you the more he found himself looking at your hips. Thinking about the way theyâd hold his cubs nicely. He wondered if youâre stomach would show or if youâre body would keep his children hidden.
When y/n stood up that snapped him out of his thoughts once more. A growl ripped from her throat causing the male to stand up as well. His muscles tense until he spotted one of his men.
âHeâs friendly.â Price put his hand on y/nâs shoulder.
âLooks like you found yourself a new pet Captin. Isnât this the one that slashed Gazâs face?â His voice was gruff, almost like Priceâs.
âGaz got his punishment for provoking her. End of discussion Ghost.â Price argued, standing in front of you.
âFirst soap now youâŠ.great.â The unknown man said sarcastically.
âWhat do you mean by that?â Price questioned, getting more defensive over you. âNothing! He means nothing.â Another male voice pipped up. It was the man that gave you back your food. Price turned around, looking at soap suspiciously. âWhat do you two have going on?â
âSpring is coming up.â Ghost said.
âAnd? You donât necessarily have a mating season.â Price retorted. Folding his arms over his chest. âBut Soap does. I owe him one for saving my ass the other night.â
Price pulled you behind him. âNobodyâs touching her.â
âOh comâon Captin.â Soap interjected, taking a step toward you. His hands reaching out, letting y/n lean into the warmth of his hands. âYou see the way her legs clench whenever sheâs around you or me. Itâs obvious the little thing-â
âYou back the fuck off.â Price grabbed your arm, pulling you away from him. âSheâs mine-â
âIâm not anyones!â Y/n exclaimed, tearing herself away from Priceâs grasp. âYou all need to leaveâŠgo back where you came from. Obviously the cold isnât good for any of you.â Y/n spoke in an urgent voice.
âY/n wait I didnât mean-â Price trailed off seeing your back turn towards him. Leaving the premises.
It wasnât like team 141 could just get up and go. They were to be stationed there for quite some time. You were going to run into them again. It was inevitable. It snowed one last time just before spring would come by. Y/n was in the cold attic waters, a fish in between her locked jaws as she made her way back to her den. The sound of twigs snapping caught her attention. Turning around quickly the person behind her put their hands up in surrender.
It was that damn bird hybrid.
Y/n narrowed her eyes at Gaz. Her distrustful gaze locked onto him. âI-Iâm friendly.â He stuttered. âWhat do you want?â Y/n muttered as she began walking away, giving Gaz the choice to follow her. To which he did.
âTo apologize.â He spoke up above the snow that was slowly growing heavier. âI thought you were a panda or-â
âI get it.â Y/n grumbled as she walked towards her den. âSoâŠ.youâre not mad?â Gaz asked. Crouching down by your den but not going inside. âIâm not one to hold grudges.â Y/n said as she curled up in her den. The snow had picked up. The winds growing harsher. Y/n looked over at Gaz sensing his unease with that harsh weather. The poor bird didnât even have any feathers to keep him warm. âCome onâŠyou can lay with me until the storm moves out.â Y/n said, switching into her monster form, moving to her right in other to give the harpy some space.
The man was hesitant. Rightfully so. But nevertheless he entered the den. Sitting a safe distance away from y/n. But as the minutes passed by the den soon began getting cold. And within an hour the two were practically snowed in.
The bear hybrid woke up. She looked over seeing Gaz huddled in a corner. Trying to collect as much warmth as possible. âAre you just going to freeze to death or are you going to come over here?â Y/n asked, motioning the male to come closer to which he did.
His cold body coming in contact with y/nâs warmth. She was like a warm blanket to him. Within minutes Gaz was asleep, his soft snores filling up the den. Lulling y/n to sleep as well.
âCaptinâŠhave you seen Gaz?â Soap questioned. âIâve been looking for the lad everywhere but I canât find him.â Price only shrugged his shoulders. To which Ghost spoke up. âHe left for the forest by the creek.â
Soap glanced worriedly at the Lieutenant. âIsnât that where y/n lives?â He asked. âShitâŠ..youâre right.â Price stood up. Grabbing his jacket. âYou just let him go?!â Soap exclaimed turning towards Ghost to which he only shrugged. âIâm not his father.â
Johnny scoffed. Following his captain out the building. Who knows what could be happening as of now. You could be mawing the harpyâs face off now. And with the spring rolling by who knows how out of wack your emotions could be.
He just hopped he wasnât too late.

Barbie's 3bd, 2ba 1860 Victorian in Somerville, Massachusetts sold for $1.93M. Let's take another look.
Open the mint green door and the hall lets you know immediately that you will find no white and gray in here. They put a lot of work into this house.
The sitting room features striped walls, a pink ceiling, a wall of built-in shelving and a mint green fireplace. The decor looks very professionally done. We've seen other colorful homes that were clearly painted by the owner.
Closeup of the fireplace. Love the lavender brick surround.
Next is a dining room with a lovely original fireplace. The floors in this home are amazing.
The den is striped in greens with a glossy lavender ceiling. I don't know how they can sell this house after all the work they did on the floors, alone.
It has a lovely sun room. This would make a wonderful conservatory with it's wide window sills and French doors.
The kitchen is a chef's style. It's huge, eat-in, and has professional appliances. I can't tell what the counters are made of, but they look like a sort of, translucent material.
Upstairs is a nice cheery bath. It has a pretty floral sink with gold faucets.
Bedroom #1 is a beautiful shade of blue- love the glossy paint and the pale pink inset.
Bedroom #2 is also spacious and is done in a bright lime with a lavender ceiling, but it's accessorized in soft neutral tones so it doesn't look garish.
The Primary bedroom is a suite and is large enough for a sitting area.
It continues up the stairs.
Where there is a lovely dressing/sitting room.
The yard is lovely , spacious, and it has a side yard as well as a back yard.

I'd like to request some Black Zero Den Mom or Parasite for Wip Wednesday?
Jon lets him pick him up, and lets him carry him to the porch with Lois at their side, one of her hands very lightly resting against his arm like an anchor, or a reassurance, or a test. Dick and Damian are already sitting on the steps, Krypto laying halfway across Damianâs lap and getting his ears scritched for it. Clark . . . actually didnât even notice them move, super-senses or not. Ma and Pa are both sitting on the porch swing, looking pained and loving all at once. Theyâre holding hands very, very tightly against the seat.Â
Clark can never make up for this. Thereâs nothing that could.Â
Heâs still just so sorry, though.

How about "now what?" for Tav x Raphael? Maybe after a night of passion but neither of these pining idiots know what to do now or what this means going forward?
Because I had an idea for this, I went ahead and made this a prequel to the FWB Raphael x Tav.
[Dubious consent: Tav has had a few drinks.]
[Part I]
---
The Devilâs Den was in her sights, and Tav was right on schedule.
Okay, there was a small, teensy chance she was late; sheâd spent longer than intended down at the bar, and she maaaaybe ordered one flagon too many of Hootâs Hooch from Hooch. Blurry eyesight and a loss of coordination getting up the stairs assured Tav that she was a tad tipsy, but it was fiiiine!
A little liquid courage was needed when making an offer to a devil.
The proposal she had in mind had been turning in her head for a while; it started out as a curious, relatively innocent thought upon her first meeting with Raphael - which then steadily turned into a salacious visual fantasy the more and more they crossed paths.
Now that her adventure was over, and her (disapproving) companions scattered to the winds, her tad-pole-free brain somehow convinced her it was a smart idea to schedule a formal appointment with the devil - the goal being: compare fantasy with reality.
And he was waiting for her - no! He was waiting for someone named Imma MoussĂ© behind the door⊠if she could only grab the handle! Thatâs a miss⊠oh, there we go, just gotta turn it andâ
It was purely accidental that Tav threw the door open, and she certainly didnât mean to slam it closed behind her with a bang. Nearby items rattled as she froze in momentary embarrassment, her eyes wide. Raphael was standing where he had when heâd shooâd KitkatâVoss (or whatever his name was) from the room months ago, and the devilâs handsome, mortal face was all scrunched and sneering at her entrance.
Tav tapped into the liquid courage coursing through her veins.
âYou'll be entreatinâ with me, devil!â Tav shouted with sudden dramatics, pointing at him like he was a villain who had wronged her. She then looked flippantly smug. âImma MoussĂ© and I are one anna same! Tricked you, dinât I?â
âYes, I hadnât a single clue it would be you, Little MoussĂ©,â came Raphaelâs dry reply. âAside from being loud, youâre late. Do not waste my time further - what is it you have come for? What is it that you need?â
âIt jusso happens that I need somethinâ specific, oâdevil oâmine⊠And no oneâs here to stop me!â She needed someone to stop her from making a fool of herself. âIâm not even gonna stop me!â
Thatâs not what she meant to say.
Raphael raised a brow.
Shit, her mouth was opening again.
âI know what youâre probbly thinkinâ, âhereâs another stupid and drunk mortal on my doorstepâ,â Tav said, gesticulate-a-ma-bobbing wildly with her hands while ambling towards him. âBut I assure you that I am absssolutely one-hundred-percent sober and have soberly made the decision to seek out a certain devil in an official capacity to make a deal.â
The âcertain devilâ, Raphael, pinched the bridge of his nose in irritation and sighed. âIt is my gratefulness for providing me the Crown that says youâre too drunk for this appointment, my dear.â
Standing three feet away from him, Tav began to pout. She sheepishly kicked at the floor. âBut I need somethinââŠâ
âThen enough of your âsoberâ prattling - state what it is you need.â
Her pretend sheepishness evaporated as quickly as it came; attempted sultriness was left in its stead, and Tav glanced up at him with a lascivious gaze. âI need you, Raphael - raw and undiluted.â
Although tipsy (okay, okay, maybe more than tipsy), Tav could still read the shadowy darkness that appeared in the depths of Raphaelâs brown eyes. His stare always managed to make her feel warm, but its current intensity was making her feel hot - to the point where her face flushed further, and her clothes felt even more like a cloying nuisance to wear.
âIâm afraid what I need is for you to be more specific, Little Mouse,â he purred, his expression turning fiendish.
Tavâs liquid courage swatted away her nerves and pushed her to step closer to him.
She brazenly stared back at the devil. âIâm proposinâ that you fuck me, Raphael - raw and undiluted.â
There was a deep rumble from his chest and throat as a good-looking bad-man reeking of cherries and sulfur brought himself to stand even closer. âA very tempting offer, but there is a stipulation we must address.â
An internal alarm bell went off (âsomething, something your soulâ), and her brows knit together. âWhat kinda stipulation?â
Raphaels hand came up to grip her chin. âThere is cowardice in you coming to me with this proposition inebriated. You view this appointment as a poor choice - an unwise decision - and I wonât risk you possibly forgetting this âlapse in judgmentâ when all is said and done. Return to me when you are ready to take ownership of your desires.â
âI am sober,â Tav murmured, her eyes having been fixated on his mouth while he talked.
âAnd Iâm a very nice man who means well,â Raphael retorted lowly, his eyes having drifted to her mouth.
âTechnically, you are beinâ nice by wanting me to actually be sob-â
Raphael kissed her, she kissed back, and-
â
When all was said and done, a sweaty Tav was lying naked on top of a wing that belonged to an equally-sweaty-and-naked devil who happened to match her fantasies in more ways than one. The bed of the boudoir was underneath them, and the both of them had taken to saying nothing as they rhythmically caught their breath on their backs.
âNow what?â She asked after some minutes passed.
âNow you get off of my wing.â
She didnât immediately move, and he curiously didnât seem to mind.
âYouâre right, you know," Tav next said.
âHm?â
She traced the lines of the gaudy canopy above. âI mighâ forget that this happened. We could⊠do it again? Make this a⊠regular thing?â
Raphael didnât respond.
âYouâd be my fiend with benefits, and Iâd be your-â
âLittle Mouse.â
Tavâs head turned to meet the devilâs serious gaze.
âOnly under the stipulation that you are on time and sober do I accept your proposal.â
She smiled. âThen itâs a deal, o'devil âo mine.â

M Werefox (Harcourt) x F reader - 1
†Pairing - M werefox x F reader †Wordcount 1.9k
A lovely reader on Patreon liked Harcourt and asked about a Part 2 for this story and of course I said yes! I had to rewrite Part 1 though, so here it is! Part 2 is coming soon as well.
I don't think I've ever posted this to Tumblr because this story was from my glory days on Wattpad before my book got deleted. (If youâre reading this on Wattpad, maybe you remember it? Idk)
ââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââââ
It's your twelfth birthday and the sun is shining and your friends are due to arrive in an hour for your little party. Suddenly you hear your mother yelling outside.
"Shoo! Out, out!"
You scamper into the backyard to see what the fuss is about and find her chasing the scrawniest werefox kit you've ever seen away from the chicken coop. He's got egg yolk clinging to his chin, an undeniable sign of his theft. His black-tipped ears pin to his head as he deftly dodges the dishcloth your mother is wielding and leaps over the backyard fence, disappearing into the brush.
"I've heard all about him from Pansy down the street. She says she's also missing eggs now and then," your mother says, putting her hands on her hips and blowing her hair out of her eyes.
"But Ma!" You wail, "he's hungry! Did you see how thin he was?"
Your mother pats your head. "He's different from us, darling. Those creatures are half wild. I'm sure there's plenty of things in the forest for him to hunt."
"But he's so small," you reply anxiously. "Not much bigger than me. Maybe he can't catch anything."
"How did he even get in?" Your mother murmurs, checking the latch on the coop, and then tutting in dismay as she sees the side of the coop, where the kit has scratched and chewed through the thin wood planks, making a hole to squeeze through.
"Oh dear. This is going to take a while to fix," your mother sighs and peeks into the coop. "And now I'm a few eggs short for your cake. At least he didn't go after the chickens."
You hardly care about your cake now. "If he comes again, can we keep him?"
Your mother purses her lips together in the way she does when you ask her a question she doesn't know how to answer.
"He might be wild, but he's not an animal," your mother finally replies. "He'll grow just as big as you, and you can't keep him as a pet."
"Why not?" You whine. "He doesn't have a mommy or a daddy, does he? He's all alone."
"You don't know that, darling," your mother says.
"Pleaseee?" You hop from one foot to another and stare up at your mother with pleading eyes.
She smiles, but she doesn't say yes. "My soft-hearted girl," she says and hugs you. "Come, let's see if we can still put together something sweet for your birthday."
You pout for the rest of the week, but she doesn't budge, like any sensible mother. The little werefox has to have a den nearby and you hope the next time you see him, you can follow him to it. The next Saturday your mother is visiting the Pansy down the street with some soup for her sick son. You're alone at home, swinging in the backyard and trying to see how high you can go. Your stomach swoops as the swing brings you down, and just then you see a flash of russet through the corner of your eye.
The werefox boy sits down and pries at the planks on the newly repaired coop, bracing one hindfoot on the wall as he begins to pull. He's stronger than he looks, and you hear the wood beginning to splinter. You leap out of the swing and misjudge your timing, crashing onto your knees in the dirt. The noise startles him and he jumps up.
"Wait!" You clamber to your feet.
He hops over the fence and scurries away, darting glances at you over his shoulder. You grab your half-eaten ham sandwich from the porch and race after him. He's fast and agile, darting into the trees and leaping over fallen branches while you straggle behind, still calling for him to wait for you. You lose sight of him when you're forced to stop and catch your breath. The lettuce has fallen out of the sandwich, but you're pretty sure he wouldn't have wanted it anyway. You walk aimlessly in the direction he went, wondering if you'll be able to find him.
You come across a hole between the thick roots of a tree that looks just about big enough. You kneel and look into the hole. The dirt has been scraped away and smoothed down to make a tunnel.
"Hello?" You call down. "Is this your den?"
There's a rustle, and the werefox boy pops his head out, his eyes alert. You sit back on your haunches and look at him.
"Why are you following me?" He asks, his ears constantly twitching as he listens to the forest.
"You can speak?"
"Duh," he replies.
"I brought you this." You hold out the sandwich, which is crumbly now.
His eyes narrow and he leans forward to sniff your hand. He snatches it from you and scarfs it down, his pupils widening as he tastes the ham.
"Is it good?" You ask.
He nods and eyes your greasy hand. He leans forward and presses his muzzle against your hand, licking the taste of ham away.
You giggle. "You're like a really big puppy!"
He pulls back and disappears into his den.
"Better come inside. It's dangerous out there," he mutters.
You clamber happily in with no regard for your safety. His den is like a secret treehouse, but way cooler. The floor is lined with dry, crunchy leaves and soft downy chicken feathers.
"You might get in trouble for killing people's chickens, you know," you say, crossing your legs and getting comfortable.
There's just about enough room for the two of you.
"I'm not," he says. "I gather the loose feathers when I... You know." He looks ashamed.
"Where are your parents?" You ask. "They should be taking care of you so you don't have to steal."
"I don't know," he says, lying down and curling his tail around his thin body. "I ran away."
"Ran away from your home? Why?"
"It wasn't a home, it was a traveling circus." He stares at the dirt ceiling of his den. "We went to so many different places."
You glimpse a scruffy, dirty collar chafing the fur around his neck.
"Was that from the circus? Why are you still wearing it?"
"I can't work the latch," he says.
"Can I help?"
He squirms and shivers, but tilts his head to let you try. In a few seconds, you've removed it. His eyes brighten and he rubs the fur on his neck.
"Thank you," he says shyly.
You nod. "What was the circus like? Did they poke you with sticks like they do with the lions? To get you to do tricks?"
His shoulders quiver and he makes a barking sound that seems equivalent to a human laugh.
"No, I pickpocketed the crowd. I was small and quick, so nobody really noticed me.
"Where the circus people mean to you? Is that why you left?"
He shakes his head. "They were okay. But we were always in the cities when all I wanted to do was be in the forests and look up at the night sky. I couldn't leave because I had a contract, so I just ran away."
"And now you're here."
He nods, idly scratching the matted fur on his neck where the collar was.
"You can't steal any more eggs," you tell him. "I'll bring you food instead."
"Why would you do that?" His gaze follows you as you crawl over to the entrance of his den.
"Because we're friends," you tell him. "I have to go home now, or else my Ma will wonder where I am."
"Okay."
"You never told me your name. Friends need to know each other's names," you tell him.
"At the circus, everyone called me Harcourt, so I guess that's my name."
"So fancy," you giggle and tell him your name in return. "See you tomorrow!"
You keep your promise, showing up the next day with a whole sandwich this time, and a brush. You show him how to use it and help him pick twigs and clumps of dirt out of his fur. He hates the water, but you convince him to try it. Once he's dry, you brush him until he's fluffy and soft, and the sun dances in his fur. He begins to smile, and you never mind how sharp his teeth are. As time passes you grow apart from your old friends, but Harcourt remains close.
Your mother notices that the eggs are never stolen again. One day as you head out for your daily "walk" she packs some extra food and puts it in your hands.
"How long have you known, Ma?"
"Do you think I'd let my girl leave the house almost every day without making sure you're safe?" She says with a twinkle in her eye.
You wrinkle your nose, trying to picture your mother sneaking after you.
"So you don't mind?" You ask. "Harcourt and I are friends now."
"So his name is Harcourt..." She murmurs. "Just make sure to come home before dark, my child."
That's how you made- and kept- your unlikely friend. You spend most of your free time in the forest with Harcourt, eating sandwiches and drinking cool water from the spring nearby. You taught him how to swim and look for shapes in the clouds and in return, he showed you how to forage for berries and edible mushrooms. You brought some blankets out to his den and on cold days you would curl up together inside his den and you would read to him with the light of a lantern.
He began to put on a little muscle and get taller than you. He was also moodier, and would sometimes growl when he was in an extra bad mood. You got testy yourself, and sometimes you would argue and end up storming back to your house in angry tears. You had always told your mother everything and that didn't change. She listened to you, smiled, and sometimes even shed a tear at your woes.
She never complained about your friendship with Harcourt but as puberty hit she got more cautious, often poking around embarrassing subjects, which embarrassed you to no end. You would tell her it wasn't like that and you were just friends, and then you would run to your room and blush angrily into your pillow, wondering why she even had to bring that up.
Eventually, you had to leave for the capital to further your education. You cried the hardest that day, soaking Harcourt's fur with your tears and promising that you wouldn't forget him. You wrote him letters and asked your mother to read them to him. Your dear mother even wrote back for him now and then. Harcourt's letters were filled with stories about fishing, expanding his den, an incident with a badger, and even working in town to make some money. He had learned to read and promised to learn to write as well.
Half a year later he fulfilled that promise. His handwriting was chicken scratch and hard to read, but you stuck each one to your dorm wall and looked at them often. Your roommate got to hear the whole story from you, and would often tease you and tell you that you were definitely in love. After a while, you stopped denying it.
Finally, you completed your last year and graduated. You could hardly contain your excitement as you packed to go home, looking forward to seeing your mother, breathing in the crisp countryside air, and meeting your good friend again. You headed to the train station and before you knew it, you were on the way home.

RippleClan: Moon 59
Scrubmask was murdered. The culprit is unknown.
[Image ID: Downstar, Carnationspeckle, and James face Clammask. Under Clammask, Carnationspeckle and James, it says + CONDITION: GRIEVING. Clammask says âI donât⊠I donât understand.â]
Scrubmask was scheduled for a border patrol at sunhigh, so she went for a walk in the morning. It was now late afternoon, and she had not returned to camp. For most cats, Clammask would have waited a while, wondering what mischief they got up to in their free time that kept them from their duties. But Scrubmask? No. Something was wrong.
Downstar sent out three patrols. Waspdawn led Tempestshade, Mosspounce, and Darkkick south. Weedfoot took Wildclaw, Elmsprout, and Drumpaw into the heart of the territory. Downstarâs patrol, which included Carnationspeckle, Halibutdusk, and shockingly, James, headed for the river. That left Clammask and the rest of her kits to wait in camp, stomachs twisted and claws itching.
âWe should have our own patrol looking for Ma!â Leatherpaw snapped as he paced around the apprenticeâs den. âWhy does Drumpaw get to look for her, but we have to stay home?â
âBecause your mentors are still in camp,â Clammask reminded her son. She sat in Drumpawâs nest, giving her three sons extra company in the dreadful wait.
âWeedfootâs on patrol,â Splashpaw pointed out, batting at the purple ribbon he chose to keep around his neck after his escapade.
âYouâre still in trouble for disappearing, regardless of who you brought to camp,â Clammask huffed with a hard look.
âHasnât StarClan said anything, Honeypaw?â Leatherpaw huffed, turning to his lanky brother in the corner of the den.Â
âTroutpool hasnât taught me how to petition StarClan directly yet,â Honeypaw sighed. He laid on his side, tail flicking absent mindedly. âIâd go out if I could be any help, but I donât think Ma wants us to see whatever problem sheâs in.âÂ
âThatâs right,â Clammask said. âYour mother wouldnât want all four of her kits roaming the forest looking for her.â
âBut Drumpaw gets to go,â Splashpaw muttered, getting to his feet and mimicking Leatherpawâs pacing.Â
Clammask gave up trying to steer her sons away from their doomed thinking. Instead she set her head on the edge of Scalepawâs empty nest and studied the den. She hadnât been inside the apprenticeâs den since she graduated. She thought back to those first two moons, before Halibutdusk, Shadowdrop, and Wildclaw were apprenticed, the nights when it was just Clampaw, Burdockpaw, and Locustpaw, the first born to RippleClan, ready to make history. How many nights did Burdockcreek keep her and Locustseeker up with a new amazing story about the other Clans? How many pranks did Locustseeker scheme over when Clammask wasnât looking? How different would it have been if Twinekit made it to that den as well? Oilstripe had told Clammask that all three were watching over her during the birth of her kits⊠were they there now, reminiscing with her?
A tortoiseshell pelt shifted outside the apprenticeâs den. Clammask hurried to her paws. Downstar! She slipped around her impatient sons and joined her leader outside. Downstar, Carnationspeckle, and James all lingered near the entrance, exhaustion pulling at their pelts. Where was Halibutdusk?
âYou havenât found Scrubmask?â Clammask asked. Downstar started to say something, but she swallowed hard instead.
âCarnationspeckle,â Downstar muttered quietly to the brown ticked molly (whose fur had finally recovered from all the mats of her imprisonment), âfind two cats to fetch the other patrols.â Carnationspeckle nodded, her stance stiff and paws uncertain as they led her to the warriorâs den.
âYouâre stopping the search?â Leatherpaw launched out of the apprenticeâs den, lips curled. âThatâs our mother out there!â
âLeatherpaw,â Clammask growled, heart aching at the fear in her sonâs eyes.
âWe found your mother, Leatherpaw,â Downstar said softly. Clammask looked back to her leader. The world became just the two of them alone on the sand.
âI donâtâŠâ Clammask gulped. âI donât understand.â James whined softly and shook his head, retreating to the elderâs den.
âWe found her in the river,â Downstar said. Her tail slipped under her. âShe was muzzle-first in the water. I donât know if someone held her under or smashed her head against the rocksââ
âSomeone?â Leatherpaw yowled, his long pelt shaking and standing on end like Downstar was about to attack. âYou said someone. You, you think a cat did it. You think a cat killed my mother!â Downstar flinched at the words. Splashpaw and Honeypaw stood in quiet horror in the mouth of the apprenticeâs den.
The peaceful and content future Clammask imagined with her mate crumbled around her.
(Clammask: 53, female, caretaker, righteous, lore master, good teacher)
(Leatherpaw: 7, male, warrior apprentice, vengeful, avid play-fighter, confident with words)
(Splashpaw: 7, male, historian apprentice, bold, never sits still, lover of art)
(Honeypaw: 7, male, cleric apprentice, daring, has lots of ideas)
(Downstar: 118, female, leader, wise, trusted advisor, very clever)
(Carnationspeckle: 61, female, caretaker, compassionate, fish-like swimmer)
(James: 135, male, elder, charismatic, den builder, formidable fighter)
An injured LynxClan warrior limps into camp, begging for sanctuary.
[Image ID: Leatherpaw, Honeypaw, and Trumpetspore watch a brown tabby enter camp. Trumpetspore yowls, âSpirit of Shadow!â Under the brown tabby, it says NEW PLAYER: RAPIDLEAF, 77, FEMALE, LONESOME, PROPHECY INTERPRETER, + CONDITION: WATER IN LUNGS.]
---
RippleClan had been through hard times; the war with AshClan, freeing Carnationspeckle⊠Scrubmaskâs death, her murder, it was different. The confusion, grief, and rage that covered the Clan was different than anything Downstar had felt since founding the Clan. Scrubmaskâs vigil was as noisy as a Gathering, with everyone arguing and debating what exactly happened to Scrubmask and if anyone could have prevented it. Leatherpaw was outright yowling at Trumpetspore, demanding someone, anyone, go out there and find his motherâs killer. Paleseed had to drag him back. Honeypaw was absorbed in weaving a vine necklace with Rabbitjoy, performing his duty as a cleric with unnatural solemnity. Splashpaw, idly rubbing his ribbon against his shoulder, would not leave his motherâs side. Drumpaw could not leave either cat alone.
Downstar didnât want to think about Clammask.
When Puddlewhisper and Waspdawn returned from their investigation with Scrubmaskâs body, they confirmed the patrolâs suspicions. The death blows matched that of a cat, but they were sloppy, lucky strikes. The river washed away the killerâs scent, and Scrubmask had no clumps of fur in her claws to narrow down the killerâs appearance. Both theorized that it was a Witch Hunter, some disgruntled member of the group who disapproved of the uneasy truce and decided to continue the killing. Yet Honeypaw, with a look in his eyes that screamed of wisdom older than he was, simply shook his head and returned to work.
Downstar couldnât leave her den. First Fennelspot, her most loyal friend, with her since her first moments, gone in a ridiculous accident. Then Rustshade, her staunch supporter and former mate, taken by an oh so deadly disease. And now Scrubmask, the loyal young warrior who wanted something new. Downstar had only managed to drag herself out of camp with the news of Scrubmaskâs disappearance. Now? Now it would take an act of StarClan to get her outside.Â
She could not see her friendâs body again. She refused.
There was a place between sleep and consciousness that restored little energy and left the mind in a haze. That was where Downstar laid, quiet in her nest, when there was a shift to the chatter outside. Confused and angry mutters turned into sharp and shocked yowls.
âSpirit of Shadow!â Trumpetspore screeched. Downstar forced herself to her paws, heart pounding.
âYa need your eyes checked, Ms. Trumpetspore,â Parsley scoffed. âThatâs a cat.â Downstar hurried out of her den. Water dripped off short brown fur. Soaked paws caught the sand and left deep pawprints. Bleary cyan eyes bounced unfocused inside a large, gaunt skull. RippleClan hissed and instinctively gathered around Scrubmaskâs body, despite there being nothing left of her to protect. Downstar recognized the enemy warrior. How could she not? In the days when she was Downdapple and RippleClan was but a dream, Scrubmask frequently appeared at Gatherings with her cousin, born at the same time as her, closer than cousins almost ever were; Rapidleaf.
Rapidleaf shook and coughed, water spilling out of her mouth. She blindly stumbled on, unaware of the angry cats around her. Honeypaw crept closer as Rapidleafâs steps grew more and more unsteady. Honeypaw reached a paw out to Rapidleaf. Her eyes dilated, wide as the full moon. Rapidleaf swiped at Honeypaw. Her claws barely missed her eyes. Leatherpaw and Clammask, who suddenly snapped out of her spot beside her mate, grieving, tackled Rapidleaf. She shook and spluttered under their combined weight.
âHow did a LynxClan warrior get all the way here?â Drumpaw gulped, sharing a scared glance with Splashpaw.Â
âPerhaps she came here with a message from Mistlestar,â Spikecrash hummed, carefully approaching the trapped warrior. Darkkick, however, stood in front of her daughter and shook her head.Â
âSheâs half-drowned,â Troutpool huffed, weaving through the shocked crowd. âI donât think she even knows where she is.â Rapidleaf panted hard, wild eyes glaring at Troutpool with a killerâs lust. Clammask shoved Rapidleafâs face in the sand. Her shaking slowed and her eyes dropped. Leatherpaw froze.
âMom, did we just kill her?â he gulped, turning to Clammask.
âSheâs only unconscious,â Troutpool sighed, gently nudging Leatherpaw off. âStarClan only knows what sheâs been through. Honeypaw, we need to bring her into the medicine den.â
âDuring Scrubmaskâs vigil?â Trumpetspore huffed. âShouldnât we send her back to her Clan?â
âAs though she could make it that far,â Honeypaw snapped, nosing Rapidleaf. Sand coated half her body. Troutpool would usually remind her apprentice to respect his elders, but Troutpool stayed silent and got Rapidleaf onto her back. In the confusion of the moment, Weedfoot slunk up to Downstar. Downstar startled at the sight of her loyal deputy.
âIf I need to argue with Troutpool, I can,â Weedfoot muttered. âWe can send a patrol to bring her home as soon as Troutpool treats her.â
âIâm not sending someone out to die,â Downstar snapped. She was so loud, nearby Clanmates turned their attention from the drowned newcomer to their angry leader. Weedfoot didnât flinch at the sudden yowl, however. She kept a cool gaze.Â
âThe last few moons have hurt,â Weedfoot reminded her leader, âbut donât forget you still have a whole Clan at your side, Downstar.â Weedfoot brushed her tail against Downstarâs shoulder and followed Troutpool and Honeypaw into the medicine den. Downstar stared at her Clan. Her outburst was quickly ignored as her friends and family returned to mourning their first warrior.Â
And Downstar? Downstar returned to her den.
(Downstar: 118, female, leader, wise, trusted advisor, very clever)
(Leatherpaw: 7, male, warrior apprentice, vengeful, avid play-fighter, confident with words)
(Honeypaw: 7, male, cleric apprentice, daring, has lots of ideas)
(Splashpaw: 7, male, historian apprentice, bold, never sits still, lover of art)
(Drumpaw: 7, female, caretaker apprentice, loyal, moss-ball hunter)Â
(Trumpetspore: 20, female, warrior, nervous, excellent potter, good storyteller)
(Rapidleaf: 77, female, warrior, lonesome, prophecy interpreter)
(Clammask: 53, female, caretaker, righteous, lore master, good teacher)
(Spikecrash: 34, female, mediator, wise, good speaker, lore keeper)
(Darkkick: 119, trans female, warrior, talented swimmer, understands nature)
(Troutpool: 20, female, cleric, insecure, ghost sense
(Weedfoot: 108, female, deputy, charismatic, steady paws, formidable fighter)
Lavendertwist heals with a deep scar. He makes sure his collar covers it.
[Image ID: Lavendertwist has a big pink scar across his throat, covered by his black collar. Under him, it says LEVEL UP! GOOD SINGER -> GREAT SINGER, - CONDITION: CLAW WOUND.]
---
âThreeââ Lavendertwist began to sing before a cough quickly took over. The sound grew muffled in the hum of the ocean at his paws. His stiff collar acted as a comforting weight against the large scar across his neck. Oh how he had missed his collar over the long season. He didnât feel like a slab of leather anymore since Troutpool removed those stitches.Â
âThree little kitsââ Stars damn it! Another awful cough shook through Lavendertwistâs body. He had to get his voice back. Heâd explode if he couldnât talk! The last season of silence had been awful as it was! He slashed at the water with a hiss that made his wound ache.
âThere you are!â Elmsprout trotted down the beach, squinting against the morning glow along the water. âFrom the way youâve been eyeing the ocean from camp the last few moons, I knew youâd wander out here when you got the chance.â Lavendertwistâs grumpy mood softened as the friend whoâd stuck with him throughout his healing journey took a spot beside him (although she refused to touch the salty waves; what a drypaw!). âI told Weedfoot Iâd join you for a hunting patrol, if youâre feeling up to it.â
âIâm trying to sing,â Lavendertwist suddenly croaked, the words escaping before he finished his thought. His voice was so ragged! Troutpool insisted it would heal, but the thought of waiting another season to get his voice back made him grit his jaw tight.
âI could use a good song right now,â Elmsprout sighed. âI left AshClan to escape the stress and gloom being the leaderâs daughter would bring about, and I didnât join RippleClan to see everyone chase their tails over Scrubmask and Rapidleaf.â Lavendertwist brushed his paw against his neck, thinking.
âI taught her kits this song,â Lavendertwist said softly, so as to soothe his throat. âShe and I werenât the best mentor and apprentice, but I appreciate everything she did for me back then.â
âFrom what I know about StarClan,â Elmsprout hummed, âScrubmask is probably listening now. Sheâd love to hear your songs, even if she never would have admitted it in life.â Elmsprout giggled as she insulted the dead, and that made Lavendertwist giggle too. He coughed again, swallowing hard.Â
âI donât think I can yet,â he muttered. Elmsprout stared at the blinding light on the ocean, eyes squinting as she thought up a solution.
âIâll sing it for you?â she said, phrasing it like an uncertain question. âIâm not a good singer, but I can try. Whatâs the song?â Elmsproutâs gray fur glowed in the oceanâs salty spray, brightened by the simple kindness she likely didnât realize she was showing.
âThree Little Kits From Camp,â Lavendertwist gulped, blinking wildly.
âI think I know that one,â Elmsprout said. She cleared her throat and sang, âThree little kits from camp are we, pert as a little kit can be, filled to the brim with youthful glee, three little kits from camp.â Elmsprout was right; she was not a good singer. She sounded more like a crow than a songbird.
But Lavendertwist didnât care. He still loved it.
(Lavendertwist: 25, male, warrior, playful, great singer, good speaker)
(Elmsprout: 26, female, caretaker, charismatic, helpful insight)
Mosspounce and Lemmy really think the Clan doesnât notice how the pair look at each other? No one is shocked when they announce they are mates.

Yellowcough truly was awful. Sure, Lemmy was no longer trapped in a tiny human den filling up with her own sick and waste, she got the Clanâs strange medicine that helped her breathe, and Tempestshade would visit with whatever meal the artisans and caretakers had cooked that day. But she was still alone in the back of a shipwreck while everyone else in her new home tried to figure out who drowned Scrubmask in the river.
This was the sort of task Lemmy excelled at when she was with the Witch Hunters. It was why Madeline had trusted her to become an enforcer, someone who could protect the housecats and strays of the area under a shared leadership and set of rules. At least Puddlewhisper and Waspdawn were acknowledging her shared status as a codekeeper by filling her in on their investigation. If she had gotten to see the scene of the crime, Lemmy was certain she would know if the killer was a Witch Hunter or not. Alas, she would never know.
Couldnât the clerics cure her already? She was supposed to be starting a life somewhere where she didnât have to worry about everyone she slept beside turning on her for dreams she couldnât control (thanks StarClan). She still had a foggy image of RippleClan in her mind. She should get to know her Clanmates!
âFood delivery!â Mosspounce carried a dried fish into the quarantine den, tail high. Lemmy had been finishing the last of her medicine when the black tom arrived. She swallowed the bitter medicine as Mosspounce set her food in front of her. Mosspounce then loafed a tail-length away with a stupidly happy expression on his face.
âYou could get sick if you stay in here,â Lemmy pointed out as she bit into the fish.
âTroutpool says youâll be better in less than a moon,â Mosspounce explained. âYou probably arenât even infectious anymore!â
âAnd yet I still feel like Iâm breathing rocks,â Lemmy scoffed. Mosspounce chuckled, even though Lemmy wasnât joking. Her pain eased slightly.Â
âWell, umâŠâ Mosspounce laughed, settling deeper into the den, âthere was something I wanted to ask you.â
âLemmy, did you finish your medicine?â Honeypaw poked his head into the quarantine den. âOh, hello Mosspounce. Are you two finally mates now?â Lemmy stopped breathing. Mosspounce laughed again, this time with more strain in his voice as he kept his gaze away from the other cats in the den.
âI, uh,â Mosspounce coughed, âI was, uh⊠about to ask that. Actually. Thought, uh⊠since you helped me so much, Lemmy, and you know, left your home for us and all that⊠maybe we could be mates?â By the crows, the hope in Mosspounceâs face hurt. Why wasnât Lemmy breathing? If she didnât like Mosspounce, she would have been able to say so with ease. So why werenât her words coming to her?
âAlright,â she said, despite herself. Mosspounceâs face glowed.
âReally?â Mosspounce gasped. âThank you, Lemmy! I promise Iâll make you happy here.â He jumped to his paws and ran to Lemmy, but both Lemmy and Honeypaw hissed at him.
âSheâs still sick!â Honeypaw reminded the eager new mate.
âRight, right,â Mosspounce gulped, backing up. His paw slipped on a clump of moss from a forgotten nest and his legs flew out from under him.Â
In yet another awfully uncharacteristic moment for Lemmy, the young tortoiseshell laughed.
(Lemmy: 35, female, codekeeper, cold, deep StarClan bond)
(Mosspounce: 20, male, caretaker, adventurous, talented fire-starter)
(Honeypaw: 7, male, cleric apprentice, daring, has lots of ideas)
James can hardly believe how quickly time has passed since Scalepaw was a kit. It feels like just yesterday he was tumbling around the nursery after a moss-ball. Full of pride and joy, James throws his head back and yowls the loudest as his son is named Scaleripple.
[Image ID: Scalepaw, now Scaleripple, stands as a long-furred adult with fully developed vitiligo. Under him, it says LEVEL UP! SCALEPAW -> SCALERIPPLE, AVID PLAY-FIGHTER -> FORMIDABLE FIGHTER.]
---
Scaleripple. Scaleripple. The white-speckled tom silently toyed with the new name as the final moments of his vigil crept to an end and dawn held the world tight. Had Downstar named him after the Clan? After his sister? Was the name based on him alone? He didnât feel like the sign of change the suffix suggested. He felt rather dull, all things considered.
Although the view from the camp entrance did not allow Scaleripple to see the ocean, he could still hear the waves mix with the song of the morning birds. It was the worldâs way of saying, âHello, new warrior. You might be odd, but we are happy to have you.â It may have just been his own thoughts trying to comfort his strange habits, but it was a comfort nevertheless.
âGuess who gets to sleep!â Lavendertwist poked his head out of camp, beaming. His voice had lost some of the hoarseness from losing his stitches, but it wasnât back to the bright ringing tone Scaleripple was familiar with.
âIâm not that tired,â Scaleripple noted, surprised at himself.
âThe exhaustion will come on later,â Lavendertwist promised. âI was the same way after my vigil!â He sat next to his brother. âJust wanted to let you know before you go to sleep, Iâm really proud of you! I know it was probably weird to have your brother as your mentor, especially when I couldnât complete half of your training, but you turned out fine! Youâll be able to handle whatever comes your way.â Scaleripple dipped his head, warmth filling his chest. âNow, I mean it, go sleep! At least see your new nest.âÂ
Scalerippleâs tail perked up. Heâd grown up with his older siblings telling him about when they came off their vigils and found tiny presents in their new nests. Lavendertwist was lucky; he got a small drum so he could make a beat to the artisansâ performances, singing along. What would Scalerippleâs gift be?Â
The new warrior stood, muscles sore from sitting through the night. He followed Lavendertwist back into camp and, with a wave of his tail goodbye, entered the giant warriorâs den. Everyone was up and ready to start the day with the sun, leaving the den an empty field of nests. Well, save for one soul.
âOver here, Scaleripple!â Tempestshade chirped from beside the eastern wall. They kneaded the edge of a fresh nest, eyes sparkling. Scalerippleâs tail lifted higher, and he stepped into the den. His paw touched the soft pelts lining the floor. A painful shiver rattled through him. Oh, wonderful. It had taken him moons to grow used to the pelts of the nursery, then of the apprenticeâs den, and how he would have to tolerate the pelts lining the warriorâs den. Yet Tempestshade, unlike so many others, noticed this.
âHop on the other nests,â they suggested. âI wonât tell.â Tempestshadeâs chuckle spurred Scaleripple on. He jumped onto Trumpetsporeâs nest, then bounded across Elmsprout and Waspdawnâs nests to get to Tempestshade.
âI asked Rattlepelt if I could help her with your graduation gift,â Tempestshade said. âI hope you like it.â Scaleripple looked down. A small rattle sat amongst the moss and down. Scaleripple took it in his jaws and gently shook it. It wasnât the loud clatter of many rattles, but something softer, like waves.
âI suggested she fill it with sand,â Tempestshade explained. âI know you tend to hide away during meetings and whatnot, the sound gets to be a lot for you. So, when that happens, you can shake your rattle and focus on the soft sound! Itâs just like the ocean, isnât it?âÂ
Scaleripple almost wanted to cry. Heâd never talked about how peaceful the ocean sounded. He wasnât much for words, after all. Yet Tempestshade knew. They knew, and Scaleripple didnât have to explain himself.
âIt does,â he said very, very softly, placing the rattle between his paws.
âIâm glad you like it!â Tempestshade cheered. They trotted out, but a moment later backed up into the den. âUh, Iâm glad you donât leave when youâre alone with me. It⊠means a lot.â Scaleripple cocked his head. Omen or not, Tempestshade was lovely! Why shouldnât others be alone with them?
âAlright,â he said. He and Tempestshade couldnât look away for a while. Eventually Tempestshade licked their chest and hurried out. Scaleripple purred softly and curled up around his new rattle.
It was the best graduation gift ever.
(Scaleripple: 12, male, warrior, lonesome, formidable fighter)

Deeply depressed over the loss of her old friends, Downstar almost lets herself be taken by humans on a walk, but regains her spirit and fights back. The humans kill her in the struggle. While in StarClan, Fennelspot, Rustshade, and Scrubmask encourage her to push on; she still has many moons left to go.
