The All Japan Touring Car Championship was revived in 1985. It attracted a wide variety of cars from all over the world and became very popular. In 1989 2 Skyline GT-R were finished by NISMO to Group A regulations and the GT-R immediately dominated the series with its powerful 2.6-liter straight-six turbo 600bhp engine and four-wheel drive, and the competition between the teams became heated. At the 1990 Inter TEC, No. 12 in the photo (Kazuyoshi Hoshino/Toshio Suzuki) won the first overall victory for a Japanese car.

what is 'super formula' i've heard of the other one, gt or whatever, but not super formula.
Hi anon!
Super Formula is a ton of fun. It's a Formula racing series that's primarily in Japan. It's, I guess the most "prestigious" championship for single-seater racing in Japan (I think all of Asia as well).
It's the second fastest racing series in the world, only JUST BARELY SLIGHTLY behind the speed of Formula 1.
It is NOT a feeder series to F1, VERY important to note. It is it's own beast, it's own prestigious championship, to the level of F1 racing without the coverage, media, drama, ridiculousness, or circus show. The racing is a little closer as well, less predictable, and more exciting. Also far more respectful on track and off track.
It's absolutely worth checking out. For most people, motorsport.tv is the place you need to go and grab a fairly cheap subscription to watch Super Formula, Super GT, and more. My server prioritizes streaming these races as well outside of F1, so you are welcome to join there and meet some folks who are fans of SF/SGT and our resident Knower Of Things SGT/SF Related: Hazawa! He's working on a power point right now that talks about the technicalities and such of the racing as well as the teams, drivers, ect ect to help people understand it better. We love having new folks join in on the SF/SGT races and are more than happy to give personal lessons to everyone that pops in and wants to learn! These races are such good vibes, very comforting, a ton of fun.
Never hesitate to reach out to me as well, I know quite a bit at this point (learned from the best) and am incredibly invested in many drivers, not just Kakunoshin. He's just the ultimate bae, yknow?

When Worlds Collide - The Early Merger Era of USCR
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/bccba14b57b011173aaf055058b7d8e4/26a7b7dcb2f9fa26-54/s540x810/1686e9e3f2cb1cef530b0c673b371b16a345b3d9.jpg)
I remember when I was in high school I would always try and get my school's "Car Club" up and going. I'd post flyers, give announcements over the PA and ask the teacher lending us the room for help with ideas. Unfortunately it was only ever me and one other classmate who would occupy the classroom at lunch, never really finding a single person to share my rather obsessive interest with. There was this one other kid, a senior at the time, that would be at one of the computers in the class room looking at spotters guides of some sorts. At the time I was solely a NASCAR fan, not really paying much attention to other forms of motorsport. I knew Super GT existed thanks to Gran Turismo 5, and of course there was Formula 1 but I never feigned too much interest in it. So when I peeked at his screen I noticed that it was what known as the Tudor United Sports Car Championship at the time. Of course, I didn't know what it actually was at that time. My small little NASCAR infested brain had never heard of this series before -- and that's because it was a completely new idea, birthed from years of two separate American sports car series competing for the same audience throughout the 00s and early 10s. The American Le Mans Series was much like the rest of the ACO sanctioned championships across the globe, using state of the art prototypes and factory GT efforts to fill their grids. However, by the end of the ALMS era there was a clear struggle to fill the prototype grids, with only a literal couple of P1 entrants running in any given race weekend.
The Grand-Am Road Racing Series was the complete opposite of the sleek and sexy cars ready to travel to France every June. Their top class were these tube frame "prototurtles", which in their first year looked more Florida man rather than Florida endurance classic. However, what they did have in their pocket was the iconic Daytona 24, which throughout its years would play host to multiple big time NASCAR superstars hopping in to turn right for the first time in a few good months. Their GT cars were also a bit non-orthodox for that matter too -- whereas you had Porsches and Corvettes battling it out for top honors literally shoulder checking each other Grand Am boasted Pontiac GXPs and Mazda6s... though, admittedly they were also tube frame based machines.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/31ddad56c68432a78cab9b579f04ccf9/26a7b7dcb2f9fa26-71/s500x750/b926df0c68e4683d8b15ca0570edff0659748f13.jpg)
So when the merger news came about, obviously it was a pretty big shock to everyone's system. I mean, how the heck would these two completely different types of series fit in with one another given that Daytona Prototypes were literally pieces of metal put together to look somewhat like a race car in comparison to the prohibitively expensive prototypes that literally no one could afford to run these days... but maybe that's what sports car racing needed. After years of having to recover from the sudden decline of the sport (thanks Bernie) everyone was kinda doing whatever the hell in their own corner, with the BPR scurrying off into their own corner trying to make their own flavor of sports car racing before getting blown up by some guys from Stuttgart that would create so much baggage for Stephane Ratel that he garnered a hate boner for factory teams, the ACO still hanging onto the Le Mans 24 with its ever changing prototype category that once literally got gamed by those same German assholes from Stuttgart a few years earlier, the guys in Japan having to make a completely new regulation after their prototype series just kinda died off which even led one team fielding a 962C against some Skylines... America just kind of had to go their own way. And we all know the trope of the USA saving the world.

I mean, the mere sight of seeing these brute beasts with their loud and brash V8 motors running alongside these sleek and sexy prototypes is enough to get anyone the least bit interested just for the weird factor. The racing it gave wasn't too bad either.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7c3a3f50455aee19bb48c1bdc0c7b2f2/26a7b7dcb2f9fa26-e1/s540x810/7d0bea4a81781540c94ae453721bc97703d54ad9.jpg)
The premise of these awkward Daytona Prototypes bumbling through the bumps of Sebring just like their European brethren is worth the price of admission itself. And we haven't even gotten to the rest of the field! You had the infamous Prototype Challenge category that would provide the race with its full course yellow quotas and almost down right dangerous levels of idiocy, but they're just honestly trying their best. Of course, there was also the ever iconic GTLM field with multiple factory GT teams duking it out going all touring car on each other battling for 2nd to last, while the GTD class derived from the Grand-AM GT category had its own oddities that would be simply wrong to look over. The 911 GT America is a car that seems to come out of someone's fever dream that I wouldn't be surprised if it came up in a /r/ThomasThePlankEngine post. There was also the R8 LMS with the teeny ass wing. I don't know why I remember that, but it's always so funny to see that specific car show up in Forza games when there's literally newer R8s to feature.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/f1d733be0805a3b2d708da81ffe5ca8c/26a7b7dcb2f9fa26-de/s540x810/199234753bc408de70480c57cbc27b4a6750ab8e.jpg)
youtube
Even the calendar itself was a "greatest hits" of both series, with both sides having to play on each other's grounds with the Daytona 24 and the 12 hours of Sebring being the big crown jewel events. Of course, you also had the rest of the endurance races that both series managed to carry over, the 6 Hours of the Glen from the Grand-Am side and the Petit Le Mans over on ALMS' side. Long Beach and Belle Isle were two street courses that both series brought along that would prove to be marquee events, and something of an interesting tidbit that I would be remiss to mention would be the Prototype Challenge only race at Kansas Speedway. Yeah. That layout. You know the one.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/dcaddb6e70725332ca25548538eb2f86/26a7b7dcb2f9fa26-3e/s540x810/e0eb2c0785b892cb904fdb71d98da43834a7c8fe.jpg)
The Daytona Prototype mix of cars lasted up until the end of 2016, which would bring the beginning of the new era of sports car racing. While I don't have great opinions on the DPi platform, it nevertheless influenced the current resurgence of the prototype category, whilst the growth of the global GT3 regulation made up by our good friend Stephane Ratel would occupy the GTD category and would go on to encompass the entire field, becoming one of the many influences that would make it replace the declining GTE class as the top global grand touring class in the world. Indeed, the United part of the United Sports Car Championship really did become reality -- though it probably had a far bigger outreach than they initially expected. Or maybe it was their intention from the get-go. Who knows. Anyways, take a look at this Daytona Prototype.

Button mulls WEC for full-time return and would love to try NASCAR oval | World Endurance Championship
Jenson Button, the 2009 Formula 1 world champion, is looking at making a full-time return to racing next year. The 43-year-old raced in F1 between 2000 and 2017, though his final year featured just one grand prix in addition to an appearance in Japan’s Super GT sports car series. Button competed full-time in sports cars until the Covid-19 pandemic. That, along with F1 broadcasting commitments and an advisory role with the Williams F1 team, restricted him to three race outings in three years. This year Button moved into stock car racing, committing to a three-race programme in NASCAR’s top level Cup series. He also joining its Garage 56 project for the Le Mans 24 Hours alongside Mike Rockenfeller and Jimmie Johnson. Button made his NASCAR debut at COTA in March His first appearance was in March at Circuit of the Americas, where he finished 18th, then he raced a modified NASCAR car at Le Mans earlier this month. Speaking to media including RaceFans ahead of his Cup series return on the new Chicago street circuit next month, Button said his return to racing has made him hungry to scale up his efforts for 2024. “There’s lots of emotions, positive and negative, from COTA. Does it make me want to do more? Yeah,” Button said. “Road courses, yes. Ovals, I would love to try an oval one day, but it’s another world. These guys have driven ovals since they were five or six years old. So why would I be good at it? I don’t know. Advert | Become a RaceFans supporter and go ad-free “It’s a possibility, but it’s a lot of work and it’s already enough getting used to driving such a big car for me. And that style of racing is a big step as well. Button was also part of NASCAR’s Le Mans entry “So maybe one day. But I’m very happy and very lucky to be doing the three races that I’m doing this year. Looking forward to Chicago and then obviously Indianapolis [road course] a few weeks’ time after that.” Having sampled various forms of motorsport since retiring from F1, Button is now looking at committing to a series full-time again. “I have jumped around doing lots of different things over the years. I also raced in GTs in 2020, I did one race in the UK in the GT3, and rallycross. Basically because I’ve always wanted to race in those series, so I’ve been very lucky that I’ve been able to jump into certain cars here and there and race. “I didn’t think that I would want to do a full season again because of how busy the schedule always is, but I feel that I’ll be racing in something next year doing a full season. It’s great doing one-off races, but you don’t get the best out of yourself. “That’s why for me doing three races here in the Cup has been really good, because I get to spend time with the team, I get to spend more time in the simulator and really working with my engineer crew chief to develop the skills between us and to have a good understanding. Advert | Become a RaceFans supporter and go ad-free “So, yes, I want to do a full season next year. Time-permitting. I need to balance a few things, as I’ve been very busy this year. But it will be endurance racing, which will be either IMSA or WEC.” However Button stressed he is open to further NASCAR outings. “Who knows what could happen in the future, whether it’s WEC, IMSA, or maybe some more NASCAR races. I don’t know. But I’ll definitely be leaning on Jim [France, NASCAR CEO] maybe a little bit for that.” Become a RaceFans Supporter RaceFans is run thanks in part to the generous support of its readers. Why Is the R32 GT-R Called “Godzilla”?
If you’re into JDM legends, you’ve probably heard the Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 referred to as "Godzilla." But how did this nickname come about? Well, just like the monster itself, the R32 was a Japanese powerhouse that stormed onto the scene and completely dominated everything in its path.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d13f7d471bde66604df43343d2ab5d34/d4598b6e34ec2865-e9/s540x810/e63b74ced3363f2da0b375e6697c05fa745cbcf8.jpg)
A Beast Is Born (1989)
Back in the late ‘80s, Nissan had a mission: build a car that would destroy the competition on the track. What they created was the R32 Skyline GT-R, a high-tech beast packed with a 2.6L twin-turbo RB26DETT engine, a sophisticated ATTESA E-TS all-wheel-drive system, and Super-HICAS four-wheel steering. Officially rated at 280 horsepower (but actually pushing much more), the R32 was ridiculously fast for its time.
Conquering the Track
From 1990 to 1993, the R32 entered 29 races in Japan’s Group A Touring Car Championship… and won every single one. Yeah, total domination. Then it went to Australia’s Bathurst 1000, where it crushed local V8-powered cars, leaving Aussie motorsport fans stunned. That’s when the Australian car magazine Wheels gave it the nickname “Godzilla”—a Japanese monster that came to destroy everything.

The Legend Lives On
The R32 didn’t just win races—it rewrote the rulebook on performance cars. It became the foundation for future GT-Rs (R33, R34, and R35), all carrying the Godzilla legacy. Even today, the R32 is one of the most iconic, tunable, and collectible JDM cars ever. It’s more than just a Skyline—it’s a legend that still rules the streets.

Skyline GTR race history.
KPGC-10
The Skyline GT-R (PGC10) was born in 1969. It was equipped with the S20 (1989cc inline 6 DOHC 4 valve) engine for the Nissan R380. From 1971, the 2-door hardtop KPGC10 became mainstream, and in 1972 it won 50 races (Fuji Inter 200 Miles on September 3, 1972).
BNR32
The R32 model, equipped with a straight-six engine, turbocharged engine and 4WD, revived the GT-R name, and at the same time, the name resounded on the circuit for the first time in 17 years. In the All Japan Touring Car Championship, it quickly overtook the Ford Sierra of the time, and went on to win the championship four years in a row until 1993.
BCNR33
The GT-R moved its battlefield to the All Japan GT Championship. From 1995 to 1998, the R33 model was introduced, which was converted to FR and had its drivetrain and aerodynamics modified, and it won the championship in the first year and in 1998. It also became the center of Nissan's Le Mans project and participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing 5th in its class (1995).
BNR34
It made its debut in the opening race of the 1999 season, and went on to win the championship that year. The R34 was light, had excellent rigidity, and was more aerodynamically refined, so it seemed ideal, but it struggled with the rise of rivals. In 2002, it was equipped with a new VQ engine, but still failed to win a race. However, the following year it was reborn as a stronger and faster car, achieving a double crown.

The Mk2 Toyota Supra

It was Easter weekend of 2022 and my girlfriend and I had woken up at 5:30 in the morning so we could go see the sunrise. After the successful trip we decided to get breakfast at Acme on the Isle of Palms. When we were done with breakfast we walked out to the parking lot to the beautiful view of this Mk2 Toyota Supra. This car is such an important piece of car culture because of what it did on the track. Toyota was already a dominant figure in the Japanese Super GT but with the presentation of the Mk2 Supra it solidified their place in the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship.

Who is Kakunoshin Ohta? I'm gathering a Super GT driver from your post but is that where you know him from?
Yeah he drove in Super GT for a couple years! But he's also a Super Formula driver. He was in the French F4 Championship for a few races, where he finished in the top ten in the three races he competed in and had a podium. That was 2019 I believe, and he debuted in 2018 in the F4 Japanese Championship.
His first/rookie year in Super Formula, he won his first race - last race of the season.
I just went and looked up some stats and this might give you a little better insight to what he's been up to since he debuted in 2018.
He is an angel baby. Apparently studied/has a degree in law. Also somehow managed to be the princess of Japan's favorite and from what I've found (pictures of them together, times he's mentioned her on twitter, ect), she's come to see him quite a bit and she also doesn't seem shy about her love for him cause she all but made him blush before a Super Formula race once that he went on to either DNS or go out on the first lap LMAO I can't fully remember, Haz could tell you what happened.
Anyway he's lovely, talented, FAST, and well deserving of this opportunity with IMSA.
In fact I think he simply deserves the world.

From top left > top right > bottom: Mazda SA22/FB RX-7 GTU spec, SA22 GTO spec, MX-6 GTU spec and FC3S RX-7 GTO spec.
Mazda knew that their rotary engine was reliable and having the itch to race it outside of Japan properly, Mazda decided to join the US IMSA GT series as they knew that it was a production based racing series where the budget isn't too high so for the 1st time when they entered in 1978, they entered it with 2 RX-3. It did not win races but performed well enough for Mazda to develop a new car for the series, the dominating SA22.
The SA22 was ready by 1979 (as seen above) and Mazda employed a team of engineers from a company called "Racing Beat" to develop a race 2-rotor engine and the product created was a 1.3L NA (naturally aspirated) 2-rotor engine making ~300hp @ 9000rpm and Mazda decided to enter it in the GTU class (engines below 2.5L classification). Mazda brought it 4 cars out on its debut at the 24hr of Daytona and the RX-7 GTU not only clinched 1-2 podium on qualifying but also won its class in the race and the other 2 cars entered finished 5th and 6th. The car continued to battle on the year and had strong podium finishes but still lost out the 1979 year run. However, in 1980, the same 2 car used in 1979 was reused and this time, Mazda never skipped a beat and ended the championship for the the GTU class by winning it with 2 races left to spare, proving that despite being underpowered against its competitors, the rotary can bring its power to bare easily, being very reliable and a potent system to boot. Mazda never followed up with factory support for the GTU class with the RX-7 from 1982-87 but customer teams who bought these RX-7s locked out the championship for the GTU class for consecutive years.
Racing Beat, having seen their success with the GTU spec car, decided to enter the higher GTO class with the same engine in another chassis but the same SA22 specification in 1983. The car debut yet again at the 24hr of Daytona and surprisingly won again despite being way underpowered than its GTU competitors (GTO classes are all engines above 2.5L consisting of massive V8s and what-nots) proving that despite being underpowered and puny, it could run rings around the big boys and eat them up clean. 1984 saw the GTO efforts being carried on by Roger Mandeville and he won the championship in that year. Things were not so great from 1985 onwards as teams got faster, the SA22 became stagnant and no matter how hard Roger tried to improve the GTO spec SA22 to compete, it lost out to its faster opponents and by 1986, Roger went back to the GTU class.
Mazda then entered the 1989 season with a factory backed MX-6 for the GTU class. Being a FWD vehicle, it would be uncompetitive on the race track over a long time and Mazda knew that they had a problem. However, due to their luck, Toyota, Mazda's main competitor in the IMSA series, faced the same issue too as the car that they wanted to field at that time was the FWD Celica so Toyota went to see if they can get the rules changed and.. They did. The rule was changed that teams can change drivetrains and engines around as long as it falls under the restriction of the class. So Mazda went to work and stuffed a 3-rotor 20B engine in the puny MX-6 chassis, swapped it to RWD and sent it off. It did not win in 1989 but won in 1990 after beating a privateer in a RX-7.
Following their win in the GTU class in 1990, Mazda went and focus on the GTO class again and this time fielded a FC3S with a 13J-M 4-rotor engine. Despite being overshadowed in its debut year by its MX-6 brother in the GTU class with the former only going as high as 3rd in the championship whereas the latter won its class, the FC GTO did win the following year and it was also the year that Mazda won Le Mans with the 787B becoming one of Mazda's best defining year.
Having been sponsoring its own factory team and other customer teams from 1978-1992, Mazda has won 10 championships in total, 8 in the GTU class and 2 in the GTO class whilst being the most dominant team in the series until IMSA ended in 1994.

Japan has been the epicenter of business and technological innovation for most of the final half-century, even the Japanese vehicles have changed the world . Taking world by storm with their capability to manufacture goods in high quantity without sacrificing durability ushered in a main paradigm shift in what was anticipated from an automobile.

While many vehicle companies hedged their bets around the consumer making their vehicle buy based on looks or power, The japanese thought otherwise. Placing their concentrate on simplicity, efficiency, and longevity. Characteristics that garnered an overwhelmingly good response by the market, along the way making some of the most exciting machines upon four wheels . Here are ten Japanese sports cars that are really easy to maintain.
10 Honda Prelude
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2cbd753d292ff3b0faf8170c2ed064c4/89e204e7864febe6-89/s540x810/0a1eff507783336475246714036d7f81cabca0b8.jpg)
Via stancespice. com
The particular Honda Prelude was the more trendy sports car of the Honda line-up, and yes it matured into the belle of the basketball over the years. The fifth and final generation, introduced in 1996 plus discontinued in 2001, looks like a good angular and mature version from the Integra. Residing under the hood was obviously a 2 . 2-liter inline 4 VTEC engine.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2ddde6ee443cceba4dedebbbee479cad/89e204e7864febe6-9a/s540x810/09ca1876db901f49b06dc8d41e114a0eb39cb8eb.jpg)
Via pinterest. possuindo
Good for two hundred horsepower, the Prelude had simply no trouble putting all that power straight down around the bends with its independent suspension system. With plenty of room under the cover to access parts, this car will certainly spend more time on the road than in the garage area.
9 Toyota Celica
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/730e25d506d8078a4225d7b66c944e2e/89e204e7864febe6-5f/s540x810/9f7a00d651cb252c5de841673c55ea25d681873e.jpg)

The Celica any of Toyota's longest-running sports vehicles with an impressive racing history. The particular legendary Supra can trace the lineage back to the early Celicas once the Celica Supra was introduced in 1979. Thereafter, the Celica branched off to forge its own heritage, being Toyota's World Move Championship entry in the past due 80s to early 90s.

Winning the constructor's name for two consecutive years in 1993 and 1994 with the Celica GT-Four. The A60 Celica, available through 1981 to 1985, was the final generation to have rear-wheel drive. To get a great sporty feel, with Toyota reliability and user-friendliness.
8 Honda CRX
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/8c8885202a50688d9cb9bb06eda1e854/89e204e7864febe6-18/s540x810/4b30148ccdb744016944e397ec677c86912d7974.jpg)
Through hagerty. com
The CRX was introduced within 1984 as a sportier Civic, discussing the same drivetrain. This car has already established a cult following for its gentle and nimble characteristics. The second era, introduced in 1988, had gone by way of a major update.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/952acd0df176813d3d8696680073d216/89e204e7864febe6-1c/s540x810/db64b3456e2dc04c6acddeaaedf4983349ec9151.jpg)

Striking dealerships with four-wheel double wishbone suspension, cutting edge even by modern-day standards. The aftermarket parts list is vast, sharing parts with this of the Civic. In addition , being very easy to work on that there are plenty of house mechanics that have swapped in later on year B and K-series motors.
7 Toyota Cressida
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/611bf0ba730a904da8b6aca2887f0479/89e204e7864febe6-b1/s540x810/be758d3e6c1247934c6dcbf2ed4cbb94c0dd6982.jpg)
Via bestcarmag. com
At first glance, the Cressida doesn't scream sports car. Hitting United states shores in 1976, it was Toyota's luxury, family saloon before the introduction of the Lexus brand. Following that will familiar sports sedan formulation of big straight-6 motor sending power to the rear wheels.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/db3aa0ab89fe999ae2945d5ae8479b36/89e204e7864febe6-17/s540x810/9866a308cab85a16c37c630c79f3c53ba6c33161.jpg)
Via thedailystar. net
The X80 Cressida, constructed between 1988 and 1995, had been the last ones to be offered in The united states. And it went out with a bang, discussing the same 1JZ engine found in tag III Supra, making it a legitimate system for drifters on a budget. This car tire shredder is known to be very easy to set up performance parts at home.
6 Nissan 200SX
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9559893170f7b32cdec6fae912f3b85d/89e204e7864febe6-aa/s540x810/560dc6db7de2c4795830dc30ceed1f615c0deae7.jpg)
Through reddit. com
The S12 200SX has flown under the radar for some time. Found in American showrooms from 1984 to 1988 with an optional 1 . 8-liter turbo charge engine, the CA18ET. Later years might be found with the naturally aspirated V-6 found in the Z31 300ZXs.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/dc5362ce781d7c28a4fd9fae1c5cdfdf/89e204e7864febe6-26/s540x810/a3d510d58764eacba2a7d9b564b4b0837260ec87.jpg)
Via wikimedia. org
The rear-wheel-drive platform, with the sub-2600 lbs curb weight, offers performance implications immediately felt from the driver. Which begs the question, exactly why this car has been overlooked. Specifically with the reported ease of maintenance plus tunability of both the turbo four-banger and the V6.
5 Honda Civic SI (EP3)
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9c976e4632c4084014eb6da579daeca7/89e204e7864febe6-f5/s540x810/e1deb1815437053ed5b2f8ff959dd80473c9b41a.jpg)
Via motorverso. com
It doesn't take much looking to find out how easy it is for just about any monkey with a wrench to make energy in a Civic . The particular EP3 Civic SI or FRIEND, for the Canadian audience, was the very first Civic to come with the coveted Honda K-series motor. Having an unfortunately brief production run in North America, 2002-2005.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0149a3e40c9889547bc1c645a02c0f9f/89e204e7864febe6-43/s540x810/8f510fdc4359cd90ddce223adf3dfa4118f3d105.jpg)

These nippy small hatches are becoming harder and harder to find. The particular in-dash shifter, located directly close to the steering wheel gives the driver the particular sense of being in a race vehicle. This Civic should be on top of record of any car enthusiast searching for a fun car that they can work on.
four Nissan 240SX

This car is the ideal ride for any do-it-yourselfer because of the encyclopedia of information out there on solutions to every single problem and the plethora of automotive aftermarket parts shops.
3 Toyota Corolla GTS
