while i still enjoyed yellowjackets season 2 for the most part, the whole season was already displaying a worrying lack of direction, imo. it really feels like they're making shit up as they go, and while i don't think that's necessarily bad, it definitely is bad on a show that depends so much on maintaining a mystery over what happened on a past that haunts the present day narrative, yet seems to keep changing at will. i felt that the characters, both on the present and on the past, were not consistent with how they were portrayed on season 1, which is a big problem for a show that focuses so much on the psyche of the protagonists
