q has been raving to me about until dawn, and while i know pretty much nothing about the game, this video she showed me had AMAZING trollhunters shitpost potential, so here i am, turning everything trollhunters-related again lmfao
Merlin: I don't guess. I know. I never guess anything, I know everything, I do the math. 2 + 2 = You're my friend. Morgana: Mm-hmm, alright-- Merlin: Just kidding, it's 4. *steals her hand*
Angor Rot, to Jim: I'm casting a hex on you now. Have fun getting hexed, idiot.
Barbara: This is what I hope happens to you. *starts fire* Strickler: What the fuck?! That's really mean! Yay! Oh, I love it when you're mean to me Barbara: I know, it's really sexy
Douxie: I think I just want to, y'know, lay down... and sleep! Close my eyes! Merlin: That's pretty cringe of you, buddy.
Jim: *sees Angor Rot outside the school* Jim: Woah! That guy was straight-up looming! I wish I could loom like that
Strickler: Y'know, I went to Blackwoods Pines one year. I thought it was Blackwoods Penis for some reason. Got in real trouble with the locals, I did. They don't let me back there anymore. Could you point to the picture of a woman, please? Jim: Gender isn't real. *points to picture of man* Strickler: *slams desk* NO!
Barbara: I have this weird feeling someone's looming around here Strickler: Well, I'm about to be loomin' over on that bed, you wanna join me? Barbara: ... What???
Draal entering Jim's basement: Home sweet home! Draal: ... I THINK I live here.
Toby: Why is it called a hot water heater? It just needs to be called a water heater. Yeah, I guess it is a little bit hot, but that's just- Claire: Well, it heats up the hot water Toby: Yeah, but like, it's gonna be hot 'cause it's heated up! Claire: Well, would you prefer that the water stops heating after it gets hot???
Jim at the Soothscryer: This isn't the proper ouija board. I mean, there's no yes or no, you can't say goodbye... You're gonna get fucked if you can't say goodbye to a ghost, trust me on that one. Draal: I can get fucked?! FINALLY!
Jim: It's going way too fast, I can't read it. Claire: It's okay, I understand. Toby: I don't! Explain it to me in gross detail! Claire: Well, I'm the only one in the group who knows how to read, and that's the only reason you invite me to your parties. What else is there to explain?
Usurna: You ever put much stock into horror-scopes or anything like that? I don't, but I saw something VERY interesting in the papers today. So tell me, you a Gemini, a Kanker, a Sagita-ray-us? Ah, don't tell me, I looked it up. This is what they said under yours today: 'You will be tried in court under conspiracy for murder'. Jim: I what?
Draal: I have a key right here. And it's called an axe. Blinky: Well, I guess that DOES open most doors.
Strickler: I shoulda known that calling that thing what it was would've made it leave. Strickler: Just like when I called my wife a bitch and she left.
Jim: I'm really glad that you're alive, Angor, but also that's REALLY fucked up. Merlin: I'm not. I'm pretty upset that he's alive considering everything that he's done so far. Angor Rot: That's okay. I'm upset that you're alive too, Merlin.
Dictatious with the Parlok Spear: The ultimate rudeness: Manslaughter Blinky: OOOH, I THINK IT'S NOT MANSLAUGHTER IF IT'S INTENTIONAL--

MY OPINION ABOUT THE VIDEOGAME 'UNTIL DAWN'
The beginning of the story is very interesting. The graphics, the atmosphere, the use of the totems that show possible futures, the fact that you can find clues from different categories that explain the story... it's one thing that I loved, and it gives a lot of gameplay. Also, the video that you complete as you find the totems is very intriguing. It gives you certain clues as to where the story is going, although you don't fully know the true motivation of the story until you get to the big plot twist, which I also think is awesome.
The use of the psychologist is an addition that gives the game a lot of personality, a lot of mystery, and the fact that the things you talk to him are reflected in the story is a great thing.
First I summarise the story and then I give my opinion and some ideas that may fix the meaningless points (I'm not saying that the story is wrong, I just need to see the story as something logical and credible).
(It contains spoilers from here): I warn that this is a long post, but an interesting one if you like scary stories.
The story:
(It doesn't have all the details)
At the beginning, the story is very good: they were in a huge house of the "protagonist" family, who had bought that whole mountain for themselves. There were the children of the family (who are Josh, Hannah and Beth, the parents never appear in person) and their friends spending what seems to be the winter. The friends wanted to play a prank on Hannah and it backfired: Hannah got really pissed off at the friends and ran off into the woods, followed by her sister Beth. Josh was drunk and couldn't do anything about it. The sisters supposedly died falling off a snowy cliff (Beth is clearly seen dying after hitting her back on a rock, but we don't know about Hannah exactly), and a mysterious guy with a flamethrower and a really big knife that previously walked near the house seems to try to save them (even though it's a scary video game you don't have to be suspicious of everyone and think everything is going to kill you), but he couldn't.
Josh, a year later, invites all his friends to that mountain to have a party and forget the past. Their relationships have changed, now they have different boyfriends/girlfriends and all that (the game focuses a lot on love relationships at the beginning, giving it a teenage feel). They have arguments, they don't get along as well as they used to, it seems that the accident broke them up. The huge house, or mansion they go to has no light bulbs, and everything happens at night, until dawn. The psychologist is like a break from the game, like something separate but related. The person who is playing the game is like the psychologist's patient, who has problems. The psychologist makes him choose between characters, between things that make him "afraid"...
Following the story, photographs of the sisters are found throughout the house. At one point, the couples split up (there are four couples, although one doesn't form, Mike and Jess, Matt and Emily, Ashley and Chris and Samantha and Josh - the latter is the one that doesn't form).
The couple Mike and Jess are sent to a cabin where they want to get intimate in their relationship, but something chases them and ends up kidnapping Jess. Mike tries to save her and arrives at a typical gold rush mine, where some sections are collapsed. He finds Jess in a lift (dead or alive depending on the player's choices, I think), who falls all the way down without Mike being able to do anything. He then has to escape from there, sees a flamethrower and chases him to an old, abandoned and destroyed madhouse.
Meanwhile, Matt and Em have gone to get a bag that Em forgot (they are not seen again until much later in the story). Ash, Chris, Sam and Josh stay at the mansion, having episodes of scares, still in no danger. Chris continues to play pranks as before and Sam takes a bath.
While she's in the bath, Ash, Chris and Josh have a seance, and the sister's supposed ghost talks to them and directs them to the library to find out how she supposedly died (I think you can choose to be Hannah's or Beth's ghost). Josh doesn't like that and leaves, not to be seen again until much later. Chris and Ash find pictures, videos, supposed ghost apparitions... and they reach what appears to be the continuation of the mansion through the basement, but it's badly damaged, it looks like it was a different house.
For his part, Mike follows the flamethrower guy to the asylum and discovers that there were 30 miners in the mine looking for gold, 80 years ago. The mine collapsed at that time and 12 miners were rescued in the asylum. Doctors at the time had been shocked to find them in such a good state (they should have been dead), and witnessed transformations in the miners into murderous, insane, cannibalistic creatures, which apparently condemned the asylum. The staff didn't want the media to know what was going on there and hid it (a journalist found out, but I'm not quite clear what happened afterwards).
Meanwhile, Ash and Chris are chased around the house by a supposed madman, until he captures Ash and Chris must find her. He arrives at a place where he has to choose between saving Ash (he's in love with her) or Josh (his lifelong best friend), as there's a Saw-like scene with a saw. Personally, I saw Ash being saved, and Josh dying. When they leave the place, they are reunited with Matt and Em, who have returned from looking for the bag. They talk about the psycho and that, and decide that the two of them will go to the radio tower to alert the police (they can't go down the mountain because the psycho has the key to the cable car). When they are in the tower, something cuts the ropes and they fall, ending up in the mine. Here I saw Matt save himself and let Em fall with the tower into the void.
In the psychologist's office it is discovered that the patient is the psychopath who has organised all this.
The psycho finds Ash and Chris after finding out that there were a bunch of cameras all over the house and dead animals on hooks (it was the psycho's hideout). Just after, Sam has just had a bath and follows a trail of balloons with arrows drawn on them showing the way to "find her clothes" (her clothes have been hidden while she was bathing and she is wearing a towel around the house). She reaches a room where the psychopath talks to her and shows her a video of her in the bathroom and the video of the prank played on Hannah the year before, and the psychopath goes after her. He chases her and eventually catches her and leaves her in a room where Mike finds on his way out of the asylum tunnels. He gets her out of there.
Another Saw-like scene appears where Ash and Chris are tied to chairs, Chris is holding a gun and there are saws above their heads that are slowly lowering. He has to choose between killing himself or killing Ash, if he shoots, the saws would stop (and I think they would both die if they let the saws come down). The gun only have blank bullets and right at this point is when they discover that the psycho is Josh in disguise (this is the big plot twist). Turns out he wanted to play the joke of the century on them so they would suffer the same way his sisters suffered (this means that the psychologist's patient is him, he was crazy because of the dead of his sisters, I think the psychologist's visits show that he needed help to get over the death of his sisters and medicate himself - this is mentioned -. Something I liked is that every time the psychologist appeared, the place looked more and more like the destroyed asylum Mike found, until you see just the rubble - this may also symbolize Josh's mind -). He is taken to a place, blamed for Jess's death (he claims it wasn't him) and left there, guarded by Mike.
Then, it's discovered that Em, who fell into the mine next to the radio tower, is still alive (she was lucky to have hooked onto a wire). She walks through the mine and encounters the flamethrower guy (who she first runs away from) and a strange creature (which turns out to be the thing the flamethrower guy wanted to protect them from). She falls down a grotto and reaches the area where the sisters died. Their bodies are gone. She finds the sisters' stuff nearby, Beth's grave (just Beth's) and Beth's head (a flaw in the creators keeping the face intact. After a whole year it should be signs of decomposition, although it's a cold climate, it can't last that long - considering it's a cave and hasn't been in contact with snow).
(I explain why at this point the story stops making sense to me and just focuses on scaring the players and adding a lot of violence - this is my opinion, of course-)
Em is chased by the creature and manages to escape and get to her other friends who are back in the house. Mike runs off alerted by the screams and leaves Josh alone. They let the guy with the flamethrower into the house, who explains what's going on: the mountain has some kind of curse from an Indian tribe (or so I understood) that unleashes a spirit (or mutation) if someone eats human flesh on that mountain. It transforms into a wendigo, a creature with impenetrable skin, but susceptible to fire, very violent, that its eyes lighten and only detect changes in the movement of its surroundings, its teeth and nails become longer, its body moves very fast and adapts to the movements of its prey. Bullets don't kill them, but make them back out. This is what happened to the 12 miners they rescued (apparently they ate the rest of the miners).
As they left Josh alone, Chris and the flamethrower guy go to look for him, the others must stay in the basement until dawn, when the police arrive and the wendigos stop hunting (for some reason they don't explain?), because it's a safe place. They don't find Josh and the wendigo approaches them (apparently killing the flamethrower guy I believe there's a posibility where this guy survives) and Chris runs alone to the house (here he can die if you don't control the character properly with the controller, I saw him die - strange that decisions take a back seat and the controls are the ones that kill or don't kill the characters-).
Now, for some strange reason that I don't understand, they think that Em is infected by the wendigo (not true) because it bit her even though the flamethrower guy told them that they only transform if they eat human flesh, and Mike goes crazy and wants to kill her (you can choose whether to shoot her or not). And for another strange reason that I don't understand either, Mike wants to go to the wendigo's lair, where they supposedly have Josh's body, who has the keys to the cable car, to get out of there as soon as possible, and not wait in the basement safely until dawn -which is 2 hours left- for the police to rescue them by helicopter 🤔. Well, the thing is that he goes to the asylum through the underground tunnels, he finds a bunch of wendigos locked up there (by the guy with the flamethrower), and others who are untied and chase him to the mine.
Then it's discovered that Jess, the one they thought was dead (the one who was kidnapped by a wendigo), is still alive. They get another stroke of foolishness and those who had stayed in the basement go after Mike, and as if that wasn't enough, when they go down some sewer stairs, they continue walking without waiting and leave Ash alone 😑. Further on there is a choice between going towards some sounds or regrouping with the ones who left her (obviously regrouping, I believe the other one is for having a extremely stupid dead). Then they split up for another strange reason (they can't climb some stairs and Sam goes to climb the rocks, but Ash and Em go the other way). Sam finds Mike and they save themselves from some wendigos.
Another scene of the psychologist appears, but now he and Josh are in the mines. Josh is alive but now he's there. He has hallucinations of the things he fears most.
Now, Mike and Sam arrive at the wendigos' lair. It's a scary, terrifying scene, with corpses of people hooked to the ceiling, loose heads lying around.... (I couldn't watch this, I couldn't stand it). They meet Josh there. Then they split up again, Sam goes to the house to tell the other that they are good and Mike and Josh go back the way they came (a wendigo was following them). That wendigo, who turns out to be Hannah (she didn't die, she ate Beth after 30 days locked in the cave - which I say, in a few hours these guys have been in and out of the mine a few times, why did she stay there for 30 days? And besides, after 30 days, the meat would be rotten... I believe some animals would end up in the mine). The wendigo kills Josh (it kills him in a terrible way) and Mike leaves.
From then on, Matt is still alive and meets Jess by the mine. They are chased by a wendigo and manage to escape (if you control the characters well, I saw them being saved).
Sam, meanwhile, returns to the house and meets Mike. Then, Ash and Em arrive in a hurry, pursued by a wendigo. Then comes the most tense scene of the whole game: several wendigos are inside with them, and they have to stand still so that they can't be seen. The wendigos start fighting among themselves and the friends have a plan to get out of the situation, which is to explode the house with a gas leak, they just have to turn on a light and everything will explode. There are a series of scenes where they have to stand still and hide, and in the end, if everything is done right, they escape and manage to kill the wendigos (there is a final part where it looks like the wendigo who is the miner that the story talks about the most -Billy Bates - is going to kill Sam just as she is going to hit the light, but it is stopped by the wendigo who is Hannah, it's like Hannah saves her, and that's the only part of the ending that I really liked). The police arrive and save the survivors. The scene along with the credits of the survivors telling the police what they saw is also very original.
The video of the totems explains a lot: It was made by the flamethrower guy, addressed to the sisters' friends. In it, he tells that the flamethrower guy's grandfather hunted wendigos, but one escaped him, the most dangerous one called Makkapitew. Then the miners came to the mountain and the mines collapsed, awakening the curse again. The miners became cannibals and wendigos. If you kill a wendigo, you release its soul, which is susceptible to possessing another person, so it's better to contain them and not kill them. The Makkapitew, after so many hunts, was still free. The year Beth died, he tracked it down. But Hannah and Beth were there too. The wendigo forced them to fall off the cliff, and he could not save them, but avenged them by killing the Makkapitew.
I guess with the spirit of Makkapitew released, Hannah became a wendigo?
My opinion:
I actually liked it a lot (except for that final part full of nonsense). I like the fact that all characters can be saved (except Josh) if you choose the best option. Also, at the beginning it's very relaxed, not a lot of blood and violence. However, from the scene of the saw it changes very abruptly and everything starts to be much more savage and I don't like that, it gives me creeps, that's why I couldn't see some scenes like the hideout with the animal corpses (althought it's not real), the wendigo's lair and Josh's hallucinations. That's why I don't like scary movies and videogames that focus on that (I've loved other games like Little Hope and Man of Medan because there is the perfect amount of violence).
Things that don't make sense (but doesn't mean some parts aren't great):
At the beginning, I liked the story, it was very interesting, but when they add something that has no scientific basis, I usually stop liking it.
The thing I least understand is that the team investigating Hannah and Beth's death didn't find the mine or the wendigos or the asylum or anything. It seems that in this game they are all stupid when it comes to making important decisions but incredibly clever when it comes to organising pranks.
Regarding the characters, at the beginning it seems that they haven't changed much after the death of the sisters (but they no longer get on well), why are they still making annoying jokes if the sisters died with one of them? That happens to me and I would never think of making jokes again in my life.
Also, all that nonsense I wrote while summarising the story, why do they leave the basement which is safe? Are they stupid? I mean, they're scared but they're out looking for the wendigos? I don't understand that. Lastly, I have to ask, why must the wendigos have physical transformations? Why not have the same human vision but also the same speed? And it only happens to humans, why? Why doesn't it happen to other animals? And it can't be cured or avoided? Why do they only hunt at night? And why do they only like eating human flesh? The moment they stop being human, they stop being cannibals when they eat human flesh, but that doesn't mean they can't eat other things, after all, their stomach doesn't change and I suppose they will still be able to eat the same things as humans.
Ideas:
Personally, I would have given more play to the asylum. It was put on the back burner. Instead of curses and all that nonsense, I would have had them rescue the miners, and because they were in such bad shape, they tried a serum or something they were still researching to save them, but it went wrong and they were turned into that. Makes more sense, doesn't it? Sure, but it doesn't fit with Hannah being turned. But for that I have an idea compatible with this one: Hannah managed to get out of the mine (like all her friends in a few hours, you can clearly see there are exits from all the rooms), and half dead, maybe disoriented, she made it all the way to the asylum. There is no light there, she doesn't know where she is, she is traumatised from seeing her sister die, so she injected herself by mistake (or not, I'm thinking about it as I go along) with the serum that the asylum wardens hastily left behind before she died, and she was transformed. But... you'll say, that doesn't fit with the flamethrower man's grandfather hunting wendigos either, and I'm not convinced... Don't worry, I have a different idea to the previous ones, although it's not very well thought out: perhaps, the minerals in the caves of that mountain had a strange chemical component that causes such mutations, compatible only with humans, and there were people who ended up with those components in their body and were transformed before the miners arrived. So anyone with that compound in their body, with a trigger, could transform into a wendigo. Could that trigger be human flesh? Is there something different about human flesh than the flesh of other animals? Obviously their composition varies, and that could be key. That is, if they spend time in the caves and eat human flesh, they become wendigo. This last idea is more in line with history (or maybe the best idea it's a combination of these two?). I've just shown that it's possible to make a story almost as good without resorting to myths and curses. And ruining (in my opinion) the possible increible end.

“Look Down” and “The Robbery” (plus the end of the “Waltz of Treachery”), Walnut Street Theatre, 2008. Unknown Gavroche, Jeffrey Coon as Enjolras, Josh Young as Marius, Scott Greer as Thénardier, Dawn Spence as Mme. Thénardier, Christina DeCiccio as Éponine, Hugh Panaro as Jean Valjean, Julie Craig as Cosette, Paul Schoeffler as Javert.
This video shows a moment I remember reading about in reviews of this production: a creative and poignant way of conveying the time skip between Montfermeil and Paris. As Valjean and Young Cosette establish their father-daughter bond, Young Éponine comes out of the inn and looks on, holding her own doll that’s much shabbier than Cosette’s new one. Then the grown-up Cosette and Éponine appear, Cosette wearing an elegant dress in the same shade of gray as Young Cosette’s rags, Éponine in a tattered version of her fancy childhood dress, and the little girls both hand their dolls to their older selves, then exit. Not only is this an effective way to move forward in time, it also ensures that the audience knows who the grown-up Cosette and Éponine are and ensures that their past isn’t forgotten: their costumes become constant reminders of their childhoods.
The setting for “Look Down” seems more intimate and sparsely populated than in replica productions, and the set design is slightly prettier and more Romantic than John Napier’s stark brick slum walls, but the staging compensates with the grittiness of the beggars, several of whom are shown lying or crawling on the ground and some of whom are clearly disabled. There’s also a particularly strong sense of how misery makes people act like animals and turn on each other. There are exceptions, of course: we see Gavroche’s kindness when he gives the bag he’s been carrying (which presumably contains food or clothes he either stole or was given) to a severely crippled beggar man. But right away the poor man is mugged for that bag by two able-bodied beggars. The fight between the crazy old woman and the prostitute is also more brutal than usual, and in the background during “See our children fed, help us in our shame...” a man repeatedly kicks a woman on the ground for no good reason.
Gavroche is a bit generic, but still solid. He might have made a stronger impression if his face weren’t overwhelmed by his huge hat, though. Then again, I suppose it’s only realistic that his clothes don’t fit him perfectly.
Jeffrey and Josh both make strong, rich-voiced first impressions as Enjolras and Marius, even though the camera doesn’t show them during their first lines, favoring a view of the beggars instead. Josh is also excellent in Marius’s first interaction with Éponine: friendly and fond, but with a certain formality and with clear awkwardness when her teasing leans too close to flirting. Still, in this staging he leaps to her defense when he sees her mother roughing her up, and heartbreakingly, it’s in response to this that she orders him “Stay out of this!” It’s as if she’s used to being abused and would rather put up with it than have Marius risk his safety for her.
Christina’s Éponine also makes a fine first impression: scrappy and tomboyish, yet with the wistful yearning and girlish awkwardness behind her teasing facade made clear too.
It’s a nice touch when Marius is about to give Cosette back the apple he accidentally made her drop (for that matter, it’s a nice touch to show Valjean and Cosette handing out food to the poor), only for Valjean to establish his overprotection by snatching the apple from him and handing it to her himself. Apparently to him, even being handed back a dropped apple is too much contact for Cosette to have with a young man.
Scott and Dawn’s Thénardiers are both strong, with their lines’ traditional comedy downplayed in favor of nastiness and slime. Scott slightly flubs his first line, singing “You are all here, you know your place” instead of “Everyone here, you know your place” (not a big deal, but it does sound stilted and awkward), but is otherwise spot-on. Meanwhile, Dawn’s constant rough treatment of Éponine stands out. It’s evident that Éponine has become her mother’s punching bag now that she doesn’t have Cosette to vent her anger on anymore.
I’m surprised that the staging doesn’t have Marius rescue Cosette from Montparnasse’s clutches during the gang’s attack. Instead the poor girl is trapped in his grasp until Javert arrives. I’m sure Marius must have somehow been busy on the other side of the stage. I once read about a German production that had Marius be the one to go and get Javert; maybe this was the case here too, although the camera doesn’t show it.
Paul will never be my favorite Javert (nor will I ever fully dissociate him from the role of Captain Hook), but his stern, fierce voice and demeanor still make a strong impression.
Overall, an effective and creative take on the scene.

Day 6: Meeting
Fandom: Until Dawn Character(s): Ashley Brown, Josh Washington, Hannah Washington, Beth Washington Words: 1852 Rating: General Author’s Notes: Until Dawn babies time! And by babies, I mean like they’re like, 12 or so. Looking back, I think this is the first UD fanfiction I wanted to write, I’m pretty sure I came up with the rough plot for this one not long after I played the game for the first time back in 2016. So this is a 4 year old idea finally breaking free! And in keeping with the theme I’ve apparently been starting, I have also never read Murder on the Orient Express. Maybe one day I will actually have a side plot revolving around something I have actual experience with.
Ashley had always loved the library. And today didn’t change that thought, no sir it did not. And just like any other day she visited, she pushed open the door and breathed a sigh of relief at the air conditioned air that felt so jarring against the mid-afternoon heat of July’s summer at her back. Greeting Miss Jennings who was sitting at the check-out desk by the door, she walked further into the building, past the children’s section where they were doing a craft of some sort with Mr Harper. Cut pieces of construction paper and glue were scattered across the table, and the hands of little kids were eagerly reaching to try and beat the others from grabbing their favourite colors.
Further in she reached the stairs that would lead into the more sophisticated, at least in her opinion, reaches of the building. In its deeper depths, she would find the tables and desks set up for people studying and working on projects. Ashley couldn’t wait until the day she was old enough to have a reason to go downstairs, to be able to go down there everyday. She imagined that once down there, she would never want to leave the peace and solitude that the desks with it’s high privacy partitions would provide. Instead, she headed into the higher reaches of the building. Her hand grabbing onto the stair’s rails, feeling the chipping paint beneath her hand as it glided up the bar, already bracing herself for the wonder she knew would greet her upstairs.
Reaching the top floor, she felt the large smile come to to her face at the sight before her as it always did. Green eyes brightening as she took in the seemingly unending rows of shelves, packed so full of books that they threatened to spill out sometimes, and so tall and high that the tops almost brushed the ceiling. Ashley took a deep breathe through her nose and let it out in a happy exhale. As always, the room carried in it both the hint of paper and ink from the newer books recently added to the library’s extensive collection, but it was the overlying sweeter, muskier scent of books that had been here longer than she had been alive that felt like coming home.
She stepped in further, already knowing exactly where to go. Any other time, she would peruse each and every one of the shelves, fingers brushing across the well-worn and cracked spines of favorites and the unblemished spines of treasures yet to be discovered, wondering what adventures—what knowledge—she would find within its pages. But not today. No, today Ashley Brown was on a mission. In fact, one could say that she was on a case: the case of the Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie. Eagerly, she rushed to the mystery/thriller side of the floor and gave a cry of victory when she managed to find the well-loved spine of the book, thankfully not needing a stepladder to reach it, and rushed towards her favorite chair in the corner. Finding it thankfully unoccupied, she sank down into it’s extremely worn and frayed depths.
Around her was silence, the only thing interrupting it was the occasional turning of pages and the shocked gasps when the two darker haired girls pouring over a book on the table nearby found something particularly exciting. It was the best kind of silence, the best kind of noise. Ashley let herself curl up deeper into the armchair and opened the book and began to read.
Finally. Finally. She was home.
ONE: AN IMPORTANT PASSENGER ON THE TAURUS EXPRESS
It was five o’clock on a winter’s morning in Syria. Alongside the platform at Aleppo stood the train grandly designated in railway guides as the Taurus Express. It consisted of—
“Hey.”
—a kitchen and dining car,—
“Hello?”
—a sleeping car and two local coaches.
“Hey!”
With an angry sigh, Ashley reluctantly lowered her book to glare at the boy sitting in the chair across from her with all the hatred her tiny twelve year-old body could muster. Only to have it flag in dulled surprise when she realized that she had in fact been glaring at his legs crossed over the back of the chair. His head was actually hanging upside down, dark hair hanging straight down, and a wide, cocky grin on his face.
“Yo.”
Rolling her eyes in annoyance, Ashley returned his greeting with an extremely terse ‘Hi’ and continued reading.
By the step leading up into the sleeping car stood a young French lieutenant, resplendent in uniform, conversing—
“So, what are you in for?”
She wordlessly lifted her book higher and continued to read.
—conversing with a small, lean man, muffled up to the ears, of whom nothing was visible but a pink-tipped nose and the two points of an upturned curled moustache.
“I mean, what crime did you commit?”
Ashley wanted desperately to ignore the boy but somehow knew even now that it was a lost cause. So instead, she hesitantly lowered her book with a tired sigh. “Crime? What are you even talking about?”
Still upside down on the chair, the boy shrugged, the movement doing little to jostle the hands laced over his stomach. “You know, what you did in order for this to be your punishment.”
If he thought that this clarified the earlier question, the he was very wrong. It had only left her more confused then before. “Punishment? Are you talking about the library? Or the book?”
“I dunno, both I guess?” He narrowed his eyes at her. “Wait. Are you saying that you’re here by choice?”
“Yes?”
“And reading by choice?”
“Yes?”
“Oh I can’t believe this.” With a grunt of effort, the boy pulled himself up so he could, very clumsily, maneuver his way on the chair so he was sitting in it properly. Now right side up, and the red in his face lessening as the blood in it returned to the rest of his body, Ashley was able to see that the boy was around her age, if not a year or two older. “You mean to tell me that you not only came here—for fun—but to read a book—for fun?”
“Well, yeah. What else would I rather be doing?”
He looked at her like she was insane, which she found to be very rude when they didn’t even know each other. “Oh, I don’t know, playing outside? Hanging out with friends? Playing video games? Pulling pranks? Cleaning your room? Literally anything else?”
Ashley bristled. “Why are you here then? If you don’t want to be here then just leave!” She pointed towards the stairs behind him. “The stairs are right there, no ones stopping you! So if you could go and let me get back to my book, I would really appreciate it.”
The boy snorted. “Would if I could, Red. But as I mentioned earlier, I’m currently being punished.” The boy stood up and walked behind Ashley to look down at her book and began to read aloud from the page she was open on. “’You have saved us mon cher—’” Ashley couldn’t help but wince at the worst approximation of a french accent that she had ever heard “—said the the General emotionally, his great white mustache trembling as he spoke. Wow. This is what you read for fun? This? It’s so boring.”
Ashley closed her book as she glared back up into the boys face. “What did I do exactly to deserve you bugging me like this?”
He snorted as he looked at her. “Don’t know what you did, but sure know what I did. Me and my best friend got caught pulling a prank on old man Zimmerman next door. He’s at home grounded, and I’m on baby-sitting duty for the foreseeable future.” He pointed with his thumb towards the two dark haired girls reading at the nearby table.
One of the girls turned to speak. “Not our fault that you decided to play ding-dong-ditch with Chris.”
The other girl, this one wearing a pair of glasses, joined in. “Yeah Josh. And leave the poor girl alone. She would clearly much rather be reading then dealing with your sorry butt.”
The boy (Josh, Ashley reminded herself, not that she really cared though) turned to better respond to the girls, who she was able to identify as his sisters by the same dark hair and nose that they all shared. “Say’s you Hannah. I will have you know that she is probably vastly preferring my company to that musty old book she’s reading.”
“I’m really not. In fact, the quicker you shut up, the quicker I can get back to it.”
The look of outrage on his face was so comically over-exaggerated that she couldn’t help but laugh. “I can’t believe this. Hannah and Beth I can understand, but you don’t even know me? And you’re already dissing me like this?”
“Oh I think I’ve learned all I need.” Ashley closed her book finally, and started to tick off her fingers with each point made. “You’re an annoying, egotistical, cocky prankster who loves the sound of his own voice. And who is also being a pain in my butt right now.”
The silence in the library was now far heavier than it normally was, and Ashley put her hands over her mouth as she realized in shock what it was she had just said. She had never been this sassy before, especially to a stranger, but something about Josh had just brought out the, well, sass in her.
Hannah, at least she thinks Hannah’s the one with glasses, reacts first by throwing her hands over her face to muffle what could possibly, though there is no way that’s what they are, be giggles. The one she thinks is Beth glares at her. “I don’t know who you think you are, but how dare you talk to my brother—”
The sound that interrupts her is one that Ashley never expected. It’s Josh, who’s holding his gut as he cries tears of laughter, going so far as grabbing onto the back of her chair to keep himself upright. Somehow, he manages to squeeze out what he says next in-between huge, gaping breaths of laughter.“Oh man, you really have my number don’t you?” Eventually, Ashley starts to smile and hesitantly laugh along with him, having no clue what just happened.
It’s takes one of the other library patrons on the floor with them, an older white-haired man Ashley vaguely recognizes from her visits here, shushing them sternly, and her hiding her rapidly reddening face behind her book, for Josh to finally settle down.
“Oooh, I like you. What’s your name, Red?”
“Oh, um, Ashley.”
“Well, Ash—”
“Ashley.”
He ignores her correction and sticks out his hand to her, smiling with the same wide grin he had on when he had been hanging from the chair. “I think we’re gonna be great friends, Ash.”
And god help her, Ash agrees with him as she tentatively grabs the hand offered to her and shakes it.

Misc WIP Folder
So I’m going through my WIPs folder’s subfolders.
One is labelled Misc, so that’s the one I’m going through now. Everything will be below the cut because this will probably be a long post, there are sixteen files in this folder.
Most of them are from different fandoms, so I’ll put what fandom it’s in + what title I have for it in my folder in bold before I talk about it. I’ll be going from oldest to newest. Technically not because I can’t sort Google docs like that, but rather “last modified by me” so, longest abandoned to newly abandoned I guess?
Also Spoilers for any of the fandoms, maybe? Probably.
If you have any questions about any of the fandoms, message me or send me an ask. I’m open to talking about any and all of them.
Fandoms Involved (Ordered by appearance):
Murdered: Soul Suspect (Video Game)
Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia (TV Show)
Gravity Falls (TV Show)
Until Dawn (Video Game)
Avatar: The Last Airbender (TV Show)
The Mummy (2017) & (1999) (Movies)
Assassination Classroom (TV Show/Anime)
Red vs. Blue (Online Show- Rooster Teeth)
Camp Camp (Online Show - Rooster Teeth)
Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency (TV Show)
Devil May Cry (Video Game + Anime)
Aladdin (2019) (Movie)
Castlevania (TV Show)
Murdered: Soul Suspect - MSS
So there isn’t much in this one, just a bullet pointed outline. Murdered Soul Suspect is a video game, if you don’t know it and are curious you can google it or message me.
Anywho. This is just a little part I thought was funny.
It’s essentially a Ronan survives AU of the game, pretty standard and I thought it would be fun. Honestly this part about Ronan and his cracked spine just reminded me of Obi-wan and how I write him in ignoring his injuries (and how most people write him) so it made me laugh a bit.
There’s really not much here, I didn’t even finish the outline.
Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia - trollhunters au
I am very creative with my titles. Clearly. This is another bullet point outline. but this one is longer and irrc I actually started writing this, and that file would also be in this folder so if I did write it’ll also be featured on this post.
This is an au where Claire is the trollhunter rather than Jim.
The top bit is literally just for context on the next star point. Anywho Writing AAARRRGGGHH/ seeing it spelled out is funny to me. Also I’m pretty sure I rewatched bits with AAARRRGGGHH with subtitles on to see how it was spelt and then replicated that.
The second star point is funny to me because I describe annoyance/anger (rightful, both of them) as pissy. And that’s funny.
There’s more but if I’m write and I wrote it out, then that’ll be featured later.
Gravity Falls - Gravity Falls
... Okay I’m not creative with titles until I have to be. Once more, bullet point outline. So this is an after-canon AU where Bill left a remanent of himself in Dipper and it’s become apparent when they’re in Piedmont.
I just like the rules I had Dipper give Bill. I thought they were neat. Also, I like Mabel convincing Dipper to let Bill live because he’s pathetic. This is a demon who has tormented them for an entire summer, but nows he’s pathetic so lets help him.
Not much of interest in this. I probably didn’t write it because it’d be a long and day-in-the-life type fic. It’d just be Dipper and Bill coexisting and going through life and IDK how well I’d of written that. So I didn’t write it.
Until Dawn- Until DAwn AU
FYI I’m keeping the titles case-sensitive. Another bullet outline. So this is a Josh survives/exorcised AU, also an Everybody Live AU. I’m pretty sure I wrote this when I was heavily invested in Until Dawn and Josh (because I like him.) And I was reading Until Dawn fanfic in which Josh is blamed for what happened on the mountain. And I think I was getting pissy which lead to this:
So in this AU the Until Dawn Group splintered into Sam, Josh & Chris, and Mike, Emily, Jess, Matt & Ashley. So this conversation/fight is between Chris and the second group. So Chris is the 1st,3rd and 5th talking bullet point. I don’t know who’s talking in the 2nd &4th bullet point but it’s one of the second group. Probably Emily, Mike or Jess maybe. Not Ashley.
Im 90% sure that I wrote out this entire outline just for this little interaction.
It just tickles my id. I still kind of like it, but I honestly don’t know what else I’d write for this AU.
Avatar: The Last Airbender - Zuko is the avatar
Title is self-explanatory. Also, I really like bullet outlines. So. Anywho.
Aang is still a 12 year old in this, he used up all his “avatar energy” (that’s literally what I wrote) to keep himself alive so he’s just an airbender now.
I just love Iroh. And this is just funny to me.
If I ever wrote this, it’d be a lot of hijinks of Katara and Aaang (and eventually Toph) covering for Zuko whenever he bends anything other than fire. More cracky than serious.
“The Mummy (2017)” and “The Mummy (1999)” - Mummy x Mummy
I watched the 2017 version of the mummy (got it from the library for 2 bucks) and since there are some throwbacks to the 1999 movie I decided to try to combine them. This also became an AU where Evie and Rick save Imhotep in Mummy 2, and due to Evie being revived meant she was functionally immortal (doesn’t age, but can still be killed). And due to everything, by the Mummy 2017 rolls around it’s just her and Imhotep hanging around, investigating ancient egypt and whatnot.
Honestly this is just part of the outline. None of this is really amusing to me, just, if I ever tried to write it, a lot of work. Although, the fact that I can’t remember the blonde lady friend from the Mummy 2017 is kind of amusing and I literally call her ‘BLF’ throughout this entire outline. I think her name was Lisa. Or Sara.
i’ll google it.
Assassination Classroom - AC AU
At this point, I might as well tell you when it isn’t a bullet outline than saying when it is.
This was really just a Reaper/Koro-sensei raises Nagisa rather than his mom.
People panicking around children is amusing to me. Again, long AU. And this was probably an excuse to write some baby assassin Nagisa and whatnot. Honestly whenever I read this I do remember more details on this, that I have never written down.
Murdered: Soul Suspect - Murdered: Soul Suspect
...
Okay I think this is just a repeat of the one I posted earlier???
I- I don’t know what this was? Like this is newer than the other one?
?????
Uh, brain weirdness?
Let’s move on.
Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia - TRollhunters
Ok! So this is the written out of the bullet point earlier. I did not write out much. But I’ll talk about it a bit more? So this AU is also a Bular survives and Jim finds him and helps AU.
This is literally all I have written. So, right after this, Jim would find an injured Bular and helps him. There isn’t much to add, but I will add what I had written as Barbara’s reaction from the outline:
Large AU, but it would be fun to write. I would most likely end up writing Claire’s journey of Trollhunting along with Jim’s adventures with Bular.
Red vs Blue - Meta, no, that wasn’t, he wasn’t
Okay, that’s not the full title but also the full title is literally the first sentence. Which is a long one so you get part of it. This is actually a written au, it’s about Agent Maine/ The Meta surviving and meeting up with Siris. This is just the first couple paragraphs:
Nothing I read was particularly funny to me, so just the first two paragraphs. Essentially what would’ve happened is Siris would help Maine find Washington (on Chorus) go to Chorus. Find Felix and Locus. Drama Ensues.
I might actually write this. Maybe. There’s potential, if the drive hits me.
I havent watched RvB in a couple of years, but I did like the series. It was interesting.
Camp Camp- Camp Camp
Y’know since this is ‘misc’ I get just having fandom names. Lot easier to identifiy.
So, this file is currently loading still, but I remember this. It wasn’t that long ago. This wasn’t so much a fic as a comic I would of like to have done. I definitely would’ve needed to brush up on my art skills (I am mediocre at best) but it’s just a small little comic I would’ve done on Camp Camp.
First little bit. I actually wrote out most of this rather than just bullet pointing it.
There is a little bit I’d have to polish up, but I could probably post this entire thing. But I kind of want to actually do the comic first. But boy that’s a lot of work.
I love how most of the reason I’m not writing these is that they’re a lot of work.
Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency (TV Show) - Project Cheron
This is an AU where Priest is one of the projects of Blackwing. Specifically Cheron and I think my reasoning is that he makes people go where they need to be. IDK. I actually wrote a couple of these. But this one is essentially Priest getting a bunch of projects together to help something. Idk.
This entire thing is weird and would probably be labelled crack if I ever finished it.
Okay. This entire scene is funny to me. Just, this girl rushing out in front of the car waving happily with a decapitated head in her hand. I like it. So, Aine and Herodias are OCs. Both are projects Priest is collecting.
Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency (TV Show) - “Dirk
Another Priest is a Blackwing Project AU but that’s not really the focus of this story. This story is about a project (Project Carman- OC) who can trap people in their certain significant memories of her choosing. Carman gets annoyed at Bart, Dirk and the Rowdy 3 so she traps them in memories signifcant to their stay in Blackwing and Priest.
I’ve only written 2 of the six memories, so that’d be fun to complete. These are also just sad. They’re not happy memories. So, random moment that’s somewhat amusing:
Also, title is the first sentence in the fic.
Devil May Cry - “Should I
I- why did I decide to do this from oldest to newest? Part of me is embarrassed, the other part is reminding me I have no reason to be? It’s a video game fic. But also this is a game of my childhood. It’s about Nero looking for his dad and finding Dante instead. Canonically Dante’s twin brother, Vergil, is Nero’s dad.
Just a random moment because I didn’t write that much of it. Also I thought it was kind of cute. Patty shows up in the Devil May Cry anime. Which I watched before I played the games.
Aladdin (2019) - Aladdin AU
A mix of bullet outline and written. I don’t actually have much of this AU, but essentially before Aladdin wishes to become a prince, he notices some mercenaries kidnapping a little girl and decides to rescue her.
This girl is the princess of Shiroba, Aladdin takes her back to Shiroba. The Queen/ Sultana appreciates Aladdin going out of his way to help her so she invites him to stay in the palace.
Eventually word gets to Shiroba that Agrabah is planning to attack so Aladdin and the two twin princes of Shiroba (that I made up, OCs) make a plan to infiltrate and see what they’re planning. They’re not planing espionage, but as Shiroba is a peaceful nation, they want to see if they should start evacuating people and whatnot.
So you get the Prince Ali stuff with the Genie and yada yada.
I have none of that written. I just know that’s what I intended to do with it.
So, first little bit. Long AU that would take a lot of work. Also, I know this isn’t super popular but I liked the 2019 version of Aladdin. I really like the changes they made.
Castlevania (TV Show) - Waking up in Jail wasn’t a new experience
Again, title is first sentence. Not writing that out. Anywho, this is a kind of complete canon AU to Castlevania. Essentially we haven’t reached Lisa getting burnt at the stake yet. So, loving Dracula fam. Trevor and Sypha meet earlier due to circumstance. Alucard gets attacked by something and gets rescued by Trevor and Sypha. They travel together for a while. And then Sypha and Trevor get to meet Alucard’s parents.
That’s where this AU will go if I ever write it. To be fair, last time I wrote in this file was March, so I guess that’s technically possible. Don’t hold out hope.
First couple of paragraphs.
Also, that’s it! Misc WIP folder done!
Oh, if you’ve made it this far, a)thank you and b) if you want to continue/write any of these, go ahead, but tag me or send me a link. I will be very happy to see/read what you create if you like any of this in an inspo way.
Also. This is long, so, IDK if Imma go through the other folders rn. Maybe tomorrow.

177. Sonic the Hedgehog #109
I Herd It Through the Pipeline
Writer: Benny Lee Pencils: Ron Lim Colors: Josh & Aimee Ray
No, that title is not a typo. We're back to terrible puns. Also, as hilarious as that cover page is, once again it's an example of a cover that wildly misrepresents what's actually going on in the issue, for whatever reason.
Sonic walks in on Rotor being sentimental about his family, and when Rotor explains that his family is once again under a mind control spell, Sonic suggests, and Sally backs him up, that they should travel to the North Tundra to use the Sword of Acorns to free his herd. And thus, Sally heads off to retrieve the sword…
Okay, there's been something weird going on with this thing for a while. This sword seems to have an unhealthy obsession with Sally, which is odd as swords aren't even supposed to be able to think. She shakes off her bemusement, and together she, Sonic, Rotor, and Bunnie head out in Rotor's submarine in search of his family. They notice an underwater oil pipeline which they begin to follow, as it's an obvious sign Eggman has been here, but Eggman notices them and sends out his "'sea'-crete weapon" to attack them - an electric eel that begins zapping the craft.
They manage to make it to shore without any further trouble, and find the pipeline has led them to an oil rig, which Rotor's herd is being forced to work on as mindless slaves. They fight off the shadow-bots guarding the site while Eggman angrily but uselessly screams at them through a video monitor, powerless to stop them, and then Sally heads off to free the herd…
…while Rotor sets some charges on the side of the rig, blowing it up. Rotor's family is thankful that he came back for them, and they invite the Freedom Fighters away for a meal, happy to once again be free.
Now, instead of a normal character file or map, we actually have Knuckles' family tree to examine!
Most of this we already know from the many, many previous issues covering the topic, but it's kind of nice to have it all laid out for us in one place in an easy-to-read family tree. This does, however, tie in to what I brought up a while back, about whether Thunderhawk is Sojourner's father or vice-versa, and how different issues say different things. In this tree's case, Thunderhawk is depicted as Sojourner's father, which is in direct contrast to how the two were introduced in KtE#29. Kind of funny how Penders couldn't keep those two characters straight for the life of him. It's also a bit peeving that most of the characters in the tree are male - Penders, for all his anti-misogyny attitude, still finds himself stuck in more old-fashioned ways of thinking, which is ultimately probably why the Brotherhood is such a boys' club and most of the women in the tree were just gentle, loving housewives who bore the next generation's Guardian. Obviously, that's not at all the way Julie-Su carries herself, but this trend did apparently make people worry back when the comics were still coming out that Kenders would, in the future, turn Julie-Su into the loving housewife as well, where she would become just The Mom to Lara-Su. I guess we'll see if that really does happen, huh?
"…The Crush!"
Writer: Karl Bollers Pencils: J. Axer Colors: Josh and Aimee Ray
Mina is gazing on Sonic from afar, still lost in her crush on him, and when she tries to run after him and trips on a rock, Sally shows up to catch her before she falls. To her everlasting credit, despite her obvious jealousy over Mina's supposed relationship with Sonic, Sally lets none of it show and only speaks kindly to Mina. Mina dejectedly explains how she's been trying to get Sonic's attention lately, but hasn't been very successful so far.
That has to be a relief for Sally, given her mistaken interpretation of that kiss. Mina then asks for Sally to describe Sonic to her, and though she's surprised, Sally does her best.
This is probably one of the best descriptions of not just Archie Sonic, but every Sonic, that I've ever seen. It really does sum up what defines him as a character, and why he's so well-loved by the fans as well as all the supporting cast of whatever canon he's in. Mina is pleased with Sally's breakdown, and thanks her before running off, and Sally turns away with a small smile, obviously relieved that Mina and Sonic are not in fact an item and that she still has a chance with him.
Reunification (The Conclusion)
Writer: Ken Penders Pencils: Dawn Best Colors: Josh & Aimee Ray
Lara-Su leaps at Remington as he fires his weapon, determined to stop him from hitting Knuckles, but then realizes that in actuality he was firing at someone else who was firing at Dimitri. Knuckles is struck as he jumps in front of Dimitri to protect him, and collapses motionless on the floor as the occupants of the room go into an uproar at the attempted assassination.
Oh, Lien-Da. Of course you would be the traitor. It's actually quite fascinating to see how after losing his powers, Dimitri has actually ended up as the more reasonable one, seeming to genuinely want to reunite his society, while Lien-Da, ever relegated to the background, to being second-best, has begun to scheme for power of her own. There's a reason I said before that she's one of my favorite villains of this series. The council suggests forming a committee to help bridge the differences between the two sects of echidna society, stating that Dimitri's ancient proposal was rejected originally due to the technology simply being ahead of its time, but that now their society might be able to move forward into a new technological renaissance. Lien-Da slips out a back door, determined to make sure her assassin doesn't talk when questioned by the police force, and Lara-Su also exits, devastated that she was unable to save her father's life. She's startled by the sudden appearance of Julie-Su, who has run up upon hearing the news of Knuckles' apparent death, and as she stops to examine the assassin being detained by Remington and his crew, Lien-Da realizes she has a shot to take out two of the thorns in her side with one blow, ordering her other hidden assassin to take the shot… and luckily, Lara-Su is standing right next to him, easily preventing the tragedy from occurring. She realizes that maybe, in going back in time, she was meant to save her mother instead of her father. However, she then begins to fade from sight to her horror, yelling that she wasn't meant to go back to the future yet. Julie-Su bursts into the council chambers in time to see Knuckles standing up completely unharmed, where he states that he deliberately took the blow to win Dimitri's trust, but that now they have to be careful, as there seems to be a traitor in their midst…
Julie-Su explains that in reality, she always told her daughter that Knuckles was dead because she wanted to shield her from the truth, which is that Knuckles actually went insane from the Chaos energy that he absorbed and now he's trying to take over the world with his revamped version of the Dark Legion. But now that she's old enough, and has seen the past for herself, Julie-Su thinks that Lara-Su is ready to help her face down her father for good, and begins packing up a duffel bag full of guns like some kind of Mobian Sarah Connor. And then they're just… off! No need to elaborate on anything else! The end!
Honestly, this entire section is very poorly explained, so I'll do my best. It seems that Lara-Su grew up in some kind of dystopia with her mother, who explained past events in a skewed manner to try to protect her daughter from the truth, until Lara-Su decided to take matters into her own hands to change the past and fix the future. Hey, sounds like a certain white fluffy hedgehog we know, huh? However, the implication seems to be that in some way, in a short while in our current timeline Knuckles will actually go insane from Chaos energy. This wouldn't be a problem, aside from obviously not wanting a major character of the comic to go crazy, except that this means that Julie-Su would basically already have to be pregnant with Lara-Su, since I doubt she and Knuckles would be trying for a baby after he went nuts. While teen pregnancies do happen, I'm not sure I like the implication that he's somehow already gotten Julie-Su pregnant, in the middle of everything else that's happened, and that now this fifteen year old is about to have a baby. To be clear - she does not in fact get pregnant at any point during the course of the preboot (not counting future versions of her who already had Lara-Su, obviously), but I'm genuinely not sure if Penders just didn't really think through the implications of what he wrote here, or if he did, and fully intended this to be implied by the circumstances depicted. I mean, we already know he has a history of writing really weird things about sexual relationships between teenagers (and we're not even done with those, either - yes, there's more to come), but I think this is one of the ones that more easily flies under the radar due to the confusing, garbled nature of this plotline.

RFA guys + Minor Trio play Until Dawn with MC
written with @rainydayswriter
So lucky to have met this girl and to have written this with her!!! I had so much fun writing these hcs that I was literally laughing out loud alone :)) Check out her blog too!!! :D She’s brilliant! Hope you guys enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it! :)
Yoosung
This poor boy, how you convinced him to play a horror game is beyond anyone
All the lights stay ON whether it’s the middle of the day or not
But he really enjoys this game and tries to make the best decisions and tries to save everyone
Specially the wolf (makes you Google how to save it)
Gushes about the graphics half the time
Horrified that there’s even a choice to harm animals
Screams his head off when the wendigo first makes its appearance
And also screams when the flamethrower guy appears in the mines
Practically THROWS the controller at every scare, you’ll have to play through some high-tension spots for him
What is he more afraid of: gore or needles? BOTH, apparently ;;;
He answers Dr Hill’s tests truthfully so the game is 1000x scarier for him now ;;;
Explores the most, probably to stall but also finds most of the clues and totems
Unfortunately he gets a little too curious about every single item, and ends up getting Mike’s fingers caught in the bear trap
Makes you decide what to do because he can’t watch
You decide to just hack off Mike’s fingers
Yoosung flees for the bathroom
He couldn’t save everyone and he feels really really bad about it; you have to console him when he accidentally kills Chris and Ashley gets upset
“Yoosung, you can just replay it later-”
“NO, they deserve to be together now!!”
Restarts the game and still falls for the same jumpscares
What a (lovable) dork
After finishing up the game, he will need to watch no less than four romcoms to calm down
Throw in plenty of cuddles and praising his bravery and he’ll be so happy
Zen
Mike is his favorite character: buff hero on a mission to save his girlfriend, befriends a wolf, kicks Wendigo ass? He’s so there
All those innuendos at the beginning of the game?? He’s wiggling his brows at you the whole time
“A romantic getaway in the mountains sounds nice, huh babe~?”
“Yeah Zen nothing like a crazy flamethrower murderer to set the mood.”
Definitely gets Jess to take off all her clothes and gets flustered when you tease him about it
That part where Matt climbs the fire tower and leaves the axe? You can bet Zen is swearing profusely at the screen
High key makes fun of the horror-movie acting
Pauses the game to debate almost every decision
Sorry Josh, he’s saving Ashley no ifs ands or buts
Protects your precious eyes from any gore (almost smacks you in the face with the controller in his hurry)
The first Wendigo scares the hell out of him and he lets out the most high-pitched screech
I didn’t know you had such a ladylike scream, Hyun~
Tries to save everyone because he’s ZEN THE KNIGHT
Not a big fan of Emily because she’s such a bully but still saves her because he wouldn’t kill anyone just because they were mean
Sucks at quick time events, though, and probably curses the entire time
Both of you are yelling when someone’s getting chased, there is arm slapping involved
Manages to kill off a few people, including Emily
But of course he saves Ashley and Chris, Sam, Mike and Jess
Jaehee
Isn’t much of a gamer to begin with, but is willing to play with you for moral support
So done with all of these kids already, where are their parents, why are they on an isolated mountain after two girls died due to a prank they played??
Almost as jumpy as Yoosung, and tries to play it off but at one point spills her coffee all over the couch
“Why do you enjoy this?!”

Jumin
At first glance you wouldn’t expect him to be the type to play video games, but he owns a Gray Station and a ZetBox so
The lodge in the mountains looks nice and he considers investing in a ski resort
But comments on Josh’s poor planning skills and says he’s a terrible host ;;;
Jumin honey it’s just a game ;;;
You’ve seen his attempts at taking pictures. The parts where you’re supposed to keep the controller still? Better snatch that controller from him and set it on the table or you’re DEAD.
He’s so focused when he plays, and he manages to keep a straight face through most of the game. Hardly even flinches
How
Unfortunately, he isn’t too keen on lingering or searching each and every room, so he misses unobvious clues and totems
But will definitely replay the game until it says he’s completed it 100%
Refuses to read any walkthroughs or accept Seven’s “help”
Jumin no you can’t skip work for this
Ashley or Josh? That decision was tough since it made him think about you and V
He saves Ashley but you can see it bothered him
How can a game make me feel such things?
This guy may be cold and calculating to other people, but he’s fiercely loyal and protective so he tries to save as many characters as he can and you find yourself more attracted to him
When he learns about Josh and the whole revenge thing, he still fights to save Josh because that’s just what friends do and he understands how Josh was going through a tough time because of his sisters
Finds himself addicted to these types of games and buys similar games for you two to play
Saeyoung
LOLOL a game where he can decide the fate of 8 teenagers? LOLOLOL
Turns all the lights off for ~atmosphere~ and yells at tense moments to try and scare you
Guesses who the Psycho is right away
Laughs at all the lame puns and jokes
Won’t stop quoting the game for days (“Hello, friends and fans!” “Ugh, unfollow.” “It’s mammoth!” “You know what else is mammoth, MC? Me.” wiggles eyebrows suggestively)
Fear: cockroaches
Jokingly shoves the controller into your hands at the worst moments
Makes THE MOST RANDOM decisions ever: “I wonder what will happen if I FOLLOW JESS’S VOICE?”
“Saeyoung you know that isn’t Jess!”
“So are you saying I shouldn’t open the trapdoor? The one right here?”
Good luck prying him away at any point, he’s not leaving till he’s found all the clues and unlocks as many endings as possible
Not above trying to distract you when it’s your turn to play
“Saeyoung if you poke me one more time-”
Chris gets beheaded by the wendigo
“FA;DFKLDJS SAEYOUNG!”
He’d just laugh ;;; Seriously this man :)))
Sam’s “Don’t move” parts?
HE POKES YOU
AND SAM DIES
“OH MY GOD SAEYOUNG CHOI”
“MC, it’s just a game, we can always replay it~”
Just like you keep replaying my route~
Never playing this with him ever again ;;; He’s more stressful than the game ;;;;
V
Never really had much interest in video games, but if you want to play it he’ll be right there beside you
He’ll get surprised at jumpscares but wouldn’t make a sound
He’ll immediately hold you when you get scared or scream though
Makes all the righteous choices and even though Emily’s such a horrible person, still makes it a point to save her
Protect this man
What do you fear most? Gore. This cutie apparently hates gore and he closes his eyes when Matt dies coz he tried to save Emily
That photo with the scarecrow? He felt calm looking at it, probably because he usually went on hiking trips alone for his photography thing
This guy is good with the “don’t move” scenes too, since he’s used to staying still when taking photos
Sucks at quick time events though ;;; He panics too easily and misses the buttons but thank God you learned about this early on in the game ;;;
Same as Jumin, he has a hard time choosing between Ashley and Josh
“I would give my life instead, why can’t that be an option?”
But he also chooses to save Ashley and also feels bad about it afterwards
Ashley or Chris? You already know this man will choose to kill himself than hurt the people he loves
And then he finds out that it was all a revenge scheme by Josh and he’s so surprised because how can someone do that to their friends?
He’s on the edge of his seat during Emily’s trip down the mines part
Super invested in the mystery aspect, ends up talking and theorizing through some cutscenes
V there are Wendigos PAY ATTENTION
Will make you look for all the clues and totems because he’s so invested in this game and really wants to save everyone
And he feels terrible when the flamethrower guy dies even though there was really no way to save him
When he finds out what really happens to the twins, oh my God, he’s so done with this game
Why would you make Hannah eat her sister??? And how come nobody searched the mines? Surely someone must have known about it?
If horny teenagers can find this mine in the middle of a snowstorm HOW COME THE SEARCH PARTIES WEREN’T ABLE TO SAVE THEM???
Surprisingly saves everyone except Matt because he was so stubborn about trying to save Emily
Saeran
Let’s face it, this guy would probably kill all the characters
You see his face change when he sees the twins in the beginning of the game though, and he totally chooses the option to let go and fall together instead of letting the other twin die alone
Hates the other characters because they were mean to the twins
Yup, he kills all of them
Except Sam, Chris and Josh because they weren’t involved in the prank
And also, the wolf
Fair enough, you roll with it
He decided he would save Chris but when he finds out Chris likes Ashley, chooses to shoot himself
Marry him
Then he finds out Josh tried to get revenge for his sisters
Is now super determined to save him
Unlike Saeyoung he’s kind of impatient but he reads through the stuff
Still shoots Emily because she was such a bitch
Kills Mike as well, because he was seriously a jerk to Hannah but everyone sees him as the hero --not Saeran though, so bye bye Mike
Matt finds Jessica and he’s considerate of her and chooses to hide instead, saving both of them
It wasn’t really his intention since he wanted to kill everyone, but you kiss his cheek saying how cool he is and he blushes
So upset when he finds out Hannah became a wendigo because how could she eat her sister? That’s really really messed up
And when he finds Hannah’s diary in the mines? You hug him because he goes silent and stares at the screen blankly
Saves Sam as well and he never plays the game again ;A;
Next time you’re playing Tekken
Vanderwood
Ha? What’s this game you want to play?
Pretends he’s bored with the game but deep down he’s LOVING it
Kills the quicktime events
“This is so easy.”
Gets so annoyed like wtf is wrong with these kids??? Why are they so horny???
He doesn’t always make the right decisions though and ends up killing a few characters
Swears a lot
Devastated when the wolf dies but he wouldn’t show it
So when you gently squeeze his arm and tell him it’s alright, you see him purse his lips
He’s crying inside
Oh it was all an elaborate prank by Josh?
FUCK YOU JOSH YOU DEAD
Wendigos are after him? Has no problem staying still and doesn’t miss a shot during Mike’s chapter
Hates Dr. Hill’s character because he felt like someone was probing into his brain and he doesn’t like it
Chris and Ashley are his OTP so he definitely saves those two
He finishes the game and tells you he’s done playing it, but you’ll catch him playing it late into the night when he can’t sleep, trying to get all collectibles and save everyone

RFA + Minor Trio Play Until Dawn
A collab I did with @reifromrfa! Truly a wonderful person and writer! If you enjoy Mystic Messenger (or just laughing in general) you should definitely check out Rei’s blog! I had so much fun doing this, so much laughter and keyboard smashes went into these, so I hope you enjoy it! ^^
Practically THROWS the controller at every scare, you’ll have to play through some high-tension spots for him
What is he more afraid of: gore or needles? BOTH, apparently ;;;
He answers Dr Hill’s tests truthfully so the game is 1000x scarier for him now ;;;
Explores the most, probably to stall but also finds most of the clues and totems
She can’t understand who would willingly put themselves in stressful situations for fun?
Surprisingly sarcastic at times, as a defense tactic against the fear
If one more person mentions the butterfly effect
“Worst fear? Bad Zen fanfiction.” Jumin in a cat suit
Criticizes the characters ruthlessly
Sam running around in a towel -- “How is she still alive and not freezing to death?”
Doesn’t want anyone to die, but you swear she smirked when the revenge plot was revealed
“This story is so cliche-wait what the hell is that thing?!”
MUTE TERROR as the wendigo screams at your character
Needs to take frequent breaks to calm her poor heart
Clinging to you for dear life
Jaehee please I can’t feel my arm
How can any of these kids be sane???
Sam is her favorite character. Takes a bath for hours and then saves everyone at the end. If you end up killing her, Jaehee will be salty af
Jumin
At first glance you wouldn’t expect him to be the type to play video games, but he owns a Gray Station and a ZetBox so
The lodge in the mountains looks nice and he considers investing in a ski resort

Tbh I somehow ended up on an Until Dawn kick(currently rewatching Markiplier’s playthrough), and can I just say, like, most of these characters are terrible people? Like, just.... here this is going to be long.
Mike
Major part of the Hannah prank
Cheats on Jess with Emily even though Emily is dating Matt
Can murder Emily. Slightly justified by the fact that he’s unsure if the Wendigo bite can turn her, but tbh if he had been listening The Stranger said you only become a Wendigo through cannibalism(Seriously, why did they have to read The Stranger’s journals for that tidbit?). That, and he should have gone for the safer ‘okay, you seem chill right now, but if you start getting the munchies we’ll have to put you down for our own safety’.
Emily
Mastermind #2 of the Hannah prank
“It’s just a prank Han!”
shows very little remorse for getting Hannah and Beth killed until learning all of what happened in the mines(maybe justified because denial stage). However, what regret she feels is more guilt for being responsible for their death than actually regretting her decision to play the prank.
Cheats on Matt with Mike even though Mike is dating Jess
Verbally abusive to her boyfriend Matt
fights with Jess
Decides to blame Mike almost killing her on Ashley(who was freaking out and asking her to leave in case she was infected, but not on board with the shooting) and slaps her for it
Tried to indirectly kill Ashley by pushing her into a wall and leaving her to the Wendigo chasing them
Jessica
Mastermind #1 of the Hannah prank, very excited to humiliate her.
“She just can’t take a joke”
not much remorse about the prank itself, but guilt that it caused Hannah and Beth’s death.
fights with Emily(slightly justified as Emily started it
Okay with pranking, video taping, and teasing Mike, but gets mad at him if he tries to play a prank on her. Granted she fell in cold water, but the fall is less of her concern.
This is more inferred than straight out said, but Wendigo!Hannah was the most brutal with Jess. Pulling her through the shattered window, dragging her through the woods and tearing her apart, leaving her injured and unable to move on the elevator. Everyone else gets a quick death, but not Jess, so we can infer that Jess was terrible to Hannah before the prank.
Ashley
Part of the Hannah prank
can show some remorse for it. She acknowledges it was their fault for pulling the prank in the first place, that it was dumb to do in the first place.
Literally leaves Chris to die by Wendigo because of Josh’s Saw scenario. If Chris shoots her, even if she begged him to kill her instead of himself, she will literally refuse to open the door for him, watch him die, coldly ignore his death, and lie to the cops about killing him. No remorse whatsoever.
Matt
part of the Hannah prank, videotaping the experience
“Hmm. We just rode a collapsing fire tower into a fucking mine shaft, and my girlfriend is literally dangling from a detached railing over a probably-death-height drop. I should take this moment to confront her about possibly cheating on me and being a total bitch in general! Then I won’t help her until she either promises to be faithful to only me, or to treat me better!”
Can leave Jess to die in the mines
Hannah
Yeah she was the victim here however I am not counting her actions as the girl who fell in the mines, starved enough to turn to cannibalism, and became a wendigo. I’m counting her actions during the prologue.
it’s one thing to be in love with a guy despite knowing he’s in a relationship, it’s another thing altogether to try and sleep with a guy despite knowing he’s in a relationship. She wasn’t just taking the opportunity she thought was presented when they pulled the prank, she had been flirting with him and trying to get with him. While this doesn’t justify what happened to her(Especially as Mike and Emily are hypocritical, pranking her for this and then cheating on their respective partners with each other) she’s not an innocent person.
Now for those who aren’t terrible people and are actually pretty nice:
Josh
Josh has a lot of issues and did many things, but there are a lot of circumstances that, while they don’t excuse what he did, it makes him better than the others and is a lot more sympathetic.
These people got his sisters killed, and he feels a lot of guilt because he was passed out drunk at the time and could have, hypothetically, put a stop to the whole thing.
Yes, he did the whole murder psycho thing, but it was revenge. ‘Just a prank.” for them getting his sisters killed. Yes, his prank was much more traumatizing, but he wanted them to feel the fear Hannah and Beth must have felt. But everyone was physically safe. The first trap where Chris has to ‘kill’ Josh or Ashley is rigged to kill Josh(’s dummy). The second trap with Chris and Ashley has the sawblades that will never reach them and blanks in the gun. He does knock a few people out with gas, but the only time he hurts someone is when Ashley stabs him with scissors.
People think this is worse than it is, because before we know about the Wendigos, we think ‘the Psycho’ is the murderer, and ‘the Psycho’ turns out to be Josh. We think he’s either killed or attempted to kill Jess, Matt, and Emily.
Some people pointed out that his pranks were only on Chris, Sam, and Ashley. Two of which were not part of the prank.
However, Sam was only gassed and taken out of the way to make sure she didn’t get caught in anything, and Chris was involved because Josh was trying to force him to confess his feelings for Ashley.
Also, we have no idea what Mike, Jess, Matt and Emily were supposed to be trapped in. Josh most likely had pranks set up for them. Like Jess’s phone crashing through the window of the cabin while playing music. People blame Wendigo!Hannah but do you really think a cold bony wendigo could manage a touch screen? He sent Mike and Jess to the cabin where their prank was, and he trashed the cable car office to get Matt and Emily wherever. If Mike and Jess had stayed in the cabin and Emily and Matt hadn’t fallen in the mines(both because of the Wendigo), they would have gone through their own shit.
He is also not mentally stable. From his psychiatric report, we can see that he was being treated for depression from age 11 but his symptoms show that he was either misdiagnosed or he also had schizophrenia and was getting no help for it. The fact that none of his meds were helping made him self medicate by taking to much(though apparently his doctor recommended electroconvulsive therapy instead of reassessing his diagnoses), and after his sisters died he attempted to kill himself. He is also probably off those meds and suffering withdrawal during this.
Still, he cares about them. When Mike accuses him of killing Jess, he’’s confused and apologetic. He didn’t want anything to happen to her. He’s probably trying to figure out what went wrong with whatever their prank was. And again, he didn’t want to physically hurt them, just do some revenge pranks. Hell, Chris is his best friend, and he tries to set him up with one of the girls who killed his sisters.
Deserved a better ending.
Chris
Chris did not take part in the Hannah prank as he and Josh were passed out drunk.
He voices his disapproval of the prank later on, suggesting he wouldn’t have taken part of it if he had the chance.
Yes, he has the option to ‘shoot’ Ashley, but considering their options in what they think is going on, along with the fact that she will offer to die(and the fact that she kills him for this), I’m not counting it against him.
As upset as Chris is with Josh’s actions, he does attempt to defend him somewhat, and returns with The Stranger to save him.
He is the calmest during the ‘do we shoot Emily because we got bit’ section. While he does agree that until they know, she should be separated from them, he is not on board for shooting.
Sam
Refuses to play the prank on Hannah
Sam is the only non-prank character who had a choice. Josh and Chris were passed out drunk, but Sam was told about the prank and attempted to find Hannah to stop it.
Does not get involved with the Ouija Board. That doesn’t really count but I’m giving her points for it.
She is the one person who pleads with Mike not to kill Emily
Like, most of these characters are such assholes. Like, why?

Before Blog Start
TLDR; Within the past few months we learned that my hometown has been the home to two cults (which we will not name), a goredome apparently, and various weird things that we’ll call cryptids for the time being. This is just a list of various accounts.
Months ago, I befriended someone (a freshman) in my PE class. From him I learned that there were two cults in our town, a Gore Dome, and that the police were covering all of it up. I’m not stupid enough to directly involve myself with them, obviously, and so far all the information I could obtain was through word of mouth (as, again, the police were paid off) so their reliability is clearly not the best.
Around the time he told me this, someone had been arrested in the old part of town; within their home was a blood altar (this ties into one of the cults.) Alongside this, he also saw video uploaded from a Hunter in the same part of town, which means there’s a Gore Dome nearby (as Hunters, from what I’m told, never stray far from one.) This is what prompted the discussion, and this is where things were pieces together.
My best friend is potentially in danger due to a friend he made dating one of the cultist’s daughters. I don’t feel like sharing the details, but as this involves the cults, I’m recording that here.
But this blog is not to call out the cults or to try and stop them somehow; again, I’m not stupid. The main focus is on the weird shit my best friend has seen, and the things that I have heard.
Within the woods there was a creature we (affectionately?) call the Forest God. He was first spotted on my backyard’s fence by my best friend.
He has a picture for what it looks like, with only one real difference in the image, but since I don’t know the image source I’m going to do a text description; it was fur-less and lacked ears, its skin a pale grey that was darker along the back. From its back sprouted black spiny masses, and there were more vertebra lumps down its tail. It had three claws on its back paws, two on the front, long yellow fangs, and pitch black eyes. It was thin and bony, with skin pulled taunt over its muscles.
He said that it felt like he wasn’t meant to see it, and as though the Forest God hadn’t expected to be seen either. I went to look, but the creature was already gone.
Later, over Thanksgiving break, he saw it again, this time as a silhouette that hung high above us- crouched on the top of a telephone pole just outside of my backyard. He asked me if I saw it to. I didn’t have my glasses, but I definitely saw something up there, and we had another friend confirm it to us too.
He’s seen the Forest God more often than I have; it’s been down his street before, and I’m certain there are other accounts.
There’s also something else. It’s been seen by numerous people in our town, near consistently, and it was seen by my friend many, many times in his current home. We don’t know its name, and I have asked if it has one, but as of writing this I haven’t gotten a response yet.
It peers in through the windows, and leaves behind nothing but its hand prints on the glass. Its face is reported to look sort of like the mask worn by Josh in Until Dawn (look it up if you lack knowledge on the game; and if you were interested in playing the game, sorry for the spoiler,) but with a wide mouth with many, many jagged teeth and wide glowing eyes. It appears exclusively at night, and most people don’t realize it was real until they see the prints on the glass the next morning.
Now, as for the most recent things, we have what happened last night and the night before.
The night before last, my friend heard a loud thump on his window and nails on the glass. He has blackout curtains, but saw glowing eyes looking around before whatever it was promptly left.
And last night, just before I decided to finally make a blog to put everything together, I heard something in the forests. My friend said it could have been the Forest God. When everyone else was asleep, just before midnight, I heard something howling in the woods. It was one howl, that sounded sort of like a dog- and I nearly discredited it to being the neighbor’s dog, before I realized that their dog doesn’t howl, and that I hadn’t heard their dog for days. But the howl hadn’t sounded quite right anyhow; it was off, and I don’t know how to describe it, but it was wrong.
It didn’t happen again, and no one else heard it, but I find it jarring. You may have noticed that most of these stories haven’t happened to me- I’m just the one that hears about it all. My friends all joke that I’m this great, neutralizing force; nothing could happen while I’m there. But now something has happened, though minor, and I feel like my “neutralizing force” has finally faded. If it has, I’m not sure how things will proceed from here, but I’ll try and keep you posted as it all plays out.

how did chris help josh with the psycho's game in until dawn?
OMFG OK!!! so… this is mostly just something that @fireplanetz and i talk about like… it’s all just a theory but………
most of these are a stretch but please just humor me:
in the beginning of the game when you’re playing as sam you find the note on the gate that says to climb over… if you flip it over it’s an email conversation between josh/chris that took place on dec 28, though the events of the game where feb 2………… why did he need to know directions almost 2 months in advance!!
chris had NOTHING to do with the prank yet he’s super involved with being tortured. and he’s always the one making the choices (e.g. to save ashley/josh, to shoot himself/ashley, etc.)
on that note… when his BEST FRIEND gets sawed in half he gets over it so fast yet when flamethrower guy dies he’s upset for the rest of the game. maybe, perhaps, he KNEW josh wasn’t actually dead.
he’s very reassuring that coming to the lodge was a good idea??
after josh gets upset after the seance ashley is like “maybe we should comfort him” but he’s like nahhhh like WHY wouldn’t he want to look after his best friend??? and he’s SOOOOO adamant about them going to the library to find the clue????
josh doesn’t want anyone in the basement (that’s why he goes down with sam to turn on the water) yet when chris is in there and scares them, he doesn’t care!! you would think he’d want no one down there in case they discovered his stuff but no!!!
also there is NO WAY josh could’ve done everything in the short amount of time. sure, he probably set up most of it beforehand but like come on!! how did he do any of it without help??
ok so this one i haven’t entirely proven but as of right now it stands: whenever you are playing in a duo (mike/jess, emily/matt, chris/ashley) the computer only leads when it’s relevant to the story (like it leads to an important clue or a cut scene) and they stay close by your character?? YET when you’re playing as ashley with chris, he always runs off SO FAR AHEAD and it’s for no apparent reason. like how does he know the way??? how does he know EXACTLY where to go??
after the seance ashley says “maybe we shouldn’t have brought up his sisters” and chris says “well it’s the reason why we came back up here” like josh NEVER said the entire reason they came back up to the lodge was because of his sisters?? like yeah in his invitation video he mentioned them but he never said they were up there because of them… because that would’ve given away his intentions completely to the player??? so WHY would chris say that???
chris is so adamant about finding things that will lead to the events of the ~game~ like when ashley is scared and wants to stop any logical, also scared person (considering he has a crush on her) would agree?? but NO he ALWAYS wants to keep going??? he’s so adamant about it
if you don’t find the voicemail clue as chris but as sam, chris still references it to ashley later though he didn’t find it. sure, you might say this is a mistake by the creators but NO!! it’s a SIGN
there’s a part where ashley says “the psycho is really close” and chris says “awesome” LIKE why in this situation would you say that??? sure maybe it’s just poor writing but no!! i believe otherwise
THIS IS A BIG ONE OKAY!! so if ashley chooses to leave chris (when he’s holding the door open) and she sees the psycho and you know. when she bumps into chris there can be a situation when chris is holding a dummy… and she’s like “what is that???” and he’s like “it’s a dummy, dummy” AND IF YOU REMEMBER!! there is a scene in the shed where josh is tied up and mike/chris are talking to him and josh says “i said you’re a dummy, dummy” LIKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
and also …. in this situation why would chris FRIGHTEN ashley?? like why would he even TOUCH this dummy?? he tells her that he found it in the fridge like WHY WOULD HE GO THROUGH A FRIDGE ?????
ok, so this is another big one and it kinda goes into a whole other theory that we have where josh (and chris) knew about the wendigos. that’s too much to explain in this moment but in the “events of the past” the flamethrower guy is speaking and we can assume he’s speaking to the players??? but he says “i couldn’t save your friends” WHY WOULD HE SAY THAT TO US?? and, there was no time within the events of the game for him to have this conversation…. so,,, if this is assuming chris/josh already know about the wendigos and know flamethrower guy,,, he wouldn’t say that to josh because he said “friends” not sisters, but he COULD have said it to chris
i am so sure that i have more but this is all that’s coming to my mind right now…. i am SO convinced that there’s a secret meaning to the game like… @fireplanetz and i have discussed this in depth multiple times like… i’m sure my arguements aren't convincing BUT!!!
