Part 1
Part 3
Part two to the roommates idea
Whenever the mall ‘burns down’, Eddie is just chilling at home; not doing anything special.
Actually, thats a complete lie. He hadn't seen Steve since he left for his shift the day before, and currently has his band+Wayne scattered in the living room as he paces.
“He may as well be dead, he always calls before staying the night somewhere, and he totally despises that place, so why would he stay after hours?” He comes to a halt infront of Jeff who looks considering. “What?!"
“Maybe, consider, he just forgot to call you." Eddie scoffed, “ ‘Maybe he just forgot’, except you don't know him, Jeff. Steve doesn't forget, tell ‘em Wayne."
Wayne nods from his spot on the lazyboy, “ ‘S true, he'd rather call at 2am than have us worrying.”
Gareth rolls his eyes, “Look Edmund, I get your worried about you boyfriend and all but why did we have to get dragged into this?" He complained, and Eddie began pacing again.
“ Not,my boyfriend, yet, and you’re getting-”
A ringing interrupts him.
The pacing stopped almost as soon as it began, and he darts to the phone. “ Y’hello, it's Eddie talking.” A sharp breath drew from the other end of the line.
“Hey Eds."
Eddie smiled, “Holy shit, Stevie. I thought you died. Wayne and the guys are literally gathered in the living room.” Upon hearing the name, Wayne visibly relaxed, going from hunched over to leaning backwards in seconds.
“Yeah I'm- Well shit not okay but I'm not dead.”In the background there was a noise, barely noticeable but-
“Wait, what? Are those sirens? Are you hurt? What the hell-” Wayne leaned forward again.
“I'm at the mall, there's been, uh, an accident? I don't- they took my keys, I need a ride back home.”
“Who took your keys? Steve you can't just be all ominous and-” The phone line shut off. "Fuck!”
Grant, who hasn't been helpful at all, stood up. "What did he do?”
Eddie groans, running a hand through his greasy hair, “Needs us to pick him up, might be hurt. He's such a- Wayne we're taking my van, you guys coming?”
Turns out the answer is yes.
-
They arrive at the mall five minutes later, mostly because Eddie was driving like a bat outta hell, to every emergency vehicle you can think of, plus thirty more, surrounding the place.
Eddie roles his window down when a cop signals him. “What are you doing over here?"
The metalhead bites his lip, what the hell, “Uh, I'm here to pick up Steve Harrington? He got involved in whatever's happening.”
The cops nods, "Alright, park your vehicle over there, and go get him.”
He does as he's told, a surprising feat showing just how scared he was, because Steve being hurt could mean so many things.
They get out the car, Wayne being the leading man, and head to where the commotion is.
The mall was totally destroyed, a couple kids he didn't know were sitting around, surrounded by their parents, there's a couple teens too, Nancy Wheeler, Johnny Byers, a girl in a sailor costume, and-
Eddie’s heart stopped and he fucking sped forward. “ Holy shit, what the fuck man." Steve looked like hell, understatement of the century but-
His face was bruised and bloody, his hands wrapped in casts, his hair was flat and gross and he was still in his damn sailor costume.
“Hey Munsons, Gareth, Jeff, Grant. It's the whole Scooby gang, or Smurfs, whoever you prefer.” Eddie grabbed his shoulders, and stared him dead in the eye. “ What. The. Fuck. Are you high too?!”
“Just what the hell did you get yourself into. " Wayne said more than asked, shaking his head.
Steve buzzed his lips, his eyebrows furrowed and he brought a hand to them and-
God they were split, and bleeding now. He looked back up at the long haired man infront of him, ignoring Wayne's question-not-question.
“Nah, just recovering from being drugged. Hey this is rivveting conversation and shit, but like, I wanna go home and sleep in your bed, man. Or the couch, or the floor.”
He let out a loud laugh, “Fuck I am not picky right now, I'll even take the back of the van.”
“Christ."
-
They don't talk about it, not after Hellfire goes home, not the next morning, not after Steve heals. They just don't, because the news told them all they need to know, that there was a fire. Eddie just assumed when they said he was drugged, that he meant medically.
(He didn't)

some silly little headcanons i have specifically for my au of the outsiders that i felt the need to write down all in one place.
after their parents died, darry made a deal with the state that he could keep his brothers as long as they're able to support themselves
so darry got three jobs, roofer, contractor, and uh...yk what.
two-bit who was almost 18 started working at a grocery store cause i said so
dally managed to get a job as a bartender at bucks
and ofc soda and steve work at the dx
johnny and pony don't have jobs yet cause the others don't want them to because they're "too young"
(when really they're 14 and 15 and are in fact old enough)
when everyone else is at work, johnny and pony stay home and watch movies. like binge watch.
they once thought they could handle horror movies.
they couldnt.
they were latching on to darry when he got home.
dinner at their house is chaotic.
they're yapping over each other and darry's trying to get them to settle down so that people don't report a noise complaint on them.
how to bribe the curtises?
not money.
not gold.
these big backs only listen when there's dessert involved.
even after a 12 course meal, if they're hungry in the middle of the night and sneak out to the kitchen, there will most likely already be someone there
steve and soda used to share a room.
keyword: used to
they would stay up all night giggling and shi
same thing with pony and johnny.
so steve and pony swapped rooms.
darry regrets it cause now soda and pony cant stop giggling, but he can't stop it so he just gave up
so therefore dally and two bit share a room.
dally isn't thrilled
two bit yaps
dally needs sleep or he'll be grumpy in the morning
but two-bit contradicts him saying that dally is gonna be grumpy either way.
and then dally comes at him about still living in the house as an adult and then teases him for his lack of ability to pull
dally would try to find a way to get darry to let him sleep in his room if darry weren't such a heavy snorer
(dally snores too)
(but he refuses to accept it)
darrys the type to need his morning coffee before speaking to anyone
dal just doesnt want to speak to anyone
ponys a night owl.
they'll tell him to go to sleep and pony will be like "just one more chapter"
but he keeps reading and suddenly the birds are chirping
johnny tried to protest this once back when they shared a room
to say he'll stay awake too unless pony goes to sleep
he fails and ends up falling asleep.
pony gives him a pat on the head and continues to stay awake until the sun shined through the window.
pony then proceeds to sleep the day away
(same)

Our hero, Major John Sheppard is stationed at McMurdo base in Antarctica at the start of the series. We learn that he likes it there. Sheppard himself tells Teyla in Sateda (S03E04): "Well, that [having no social skills] is why I enjoyed flying choppers in the most remote part of my world before all this craziness."
This is what John Sheppard tells us but we learn that what he tells us is not always the truth and certainly not the whole truth.
The alien AI that created a hallucination from Sheppard's own subconscious in Remnants (S05E15) poses him the question: "You're either someone with a death wish or someone running away from something. So tell me: what are you running away from?" Running away to the most remote part of his world, running away to another galaxy.
In fact, he has both been banished to and self-isolated in the most remote part of his world ("You torture yourself every day, John.") due to his "black mark" acquired in Afghanistan. We are never explicitly told what this black mark was, only that it bothered Gen. O'Neill and was something that Dr. Weir could live with. We are left wondering.
While we are shown something of what happened in Afghanistan during the episode Phantoms (S03E09), through the hallucinations from Sheppard's past of him failing to save Capt. Charlie Holland, it isn't until toward the end of the series that we find out what happened through the mirror of a parallel reality in Vegas (S05E19), where alt!Rodney tells us "You were a helicopter pilot in Afghanistan but were dishonourably discharged for disobeying orders and trying to rescue a field medic trapped behind enemy lines. You were shot down – obviously survived, but unfortunately the crash killed four American soldiers along with eight civilians. You avoided jail time; the record was sealed for various political reasons."
The field medic in the Vegas-verse, one where "infinite variations of our own known reality where alternate versions of you and I play out events", is female; this revealed in a mumbled 'ur' (I didn't even catch it on first viewing even though I knew about the gender swap in advance; it might just as well have been "knew 'em") in alt!Rodney's line: "That field medic – the one you defied orders to go back and try and rescue. You knew her personally. You were... involved."
This was one of the differences between the two realities, perhaps even the most defining one of them, the point of divergence.
Vegas Sheppard dies to the tune of Johnny Cash's Solitary Man because that's what he was, a recluse (and note that the importance of Johnny Cash was underlined in the episode by Sheppard taking nothing but his poster, the same Johnny Cash poster that our Sheppard had in his quarters for all of the five years, with him once he walked away from his job; it carries weight):
I know it's been done havin' one girl who loved me Right or wrong, weak or strong Don't know that I will, but until I can find me The girl who'll stay and won't play games behind me I'll be what I am
But our Sheppard is not a Solitary Man (he has self-confessedly found something of a family in Pegasus). He's the Man in Black (in fact, he is dressed in black throughout the series even in situations where other fatigues would have made more sense; it is only in the very last episode that we see him in lighter colours):
I'd love to wear a rainbow every day And tell the world that everything's okay But I'll try to carry off a little darkness on my back 'Til things are brighter, I'm the man in black
We know the background. When the series begun, DADT was still in full effect, the franchise had a long-standing co-operation with the USAF, Prop 8 was still several years into the future. The non-normative sexual orientation of an All-American Action Hero was never going to be main-text. Even heterosexual romance between characters was mostly eschewed by the franchise. But damn if the subtext doesn't lay it out thick for us.
There are so many obvious parallels and comparisons in the show that I need to write them down somewhere, and while this is a day late and a dollar short, this fandom could do with some meta. So this marks the beginning of my journey through Stargate Atlantis with an eye on its bisexual protagonist.

Just gonna type my thoughts out based on my notes I wrote while playing the To the Moon Beach Episode. So spoilers/long ramble.
Short things:
They brought back many minor characters from Finding Paradise, thought that was very cute
References: The "Are you winning, son?" in the airport was charming but I did not expect to get a full FNAF section
I love the use of previous games OST: updated versions and the lo-fi versions
Animations were very charming and expressive; they even joke about it ("didn't have a budget for it. The dance lessons")
That inverted/hanging jellyfish planter. I need it. I need it now.
Rob learning what people are up to on the internet these days only to instantly regret it
Willis and Taima still going at it. They are lifelong couple goals: keeping the flame alive while dropping wisdom
I need that soundtrack.
Bigger things:
Johnny and River addressing what most players/general audience found concerning about the original game and overall premise of the series: Altering and overwriting of memories or basically the reality of the dying. While jokingly Johnny says he could never see himself using their services, both conclude it's their choice and they just need to accept it
This was slightly touched on in the Minisode but for it to be brought into attention by the original characters that kicked off this series, it's something.
The three books at the beginning already set forth what this game is gonna be all about: grieving and acceptance of the passing of a loved one. The first run through, Eva completely numbed her memories to enjoy the beach and time with Neil. But there was always something.
Second run, she "confronts" as Faye states the truth: Neil is dead.
It was hinted that Eva started drinking (in the store) and has been repeatedly using the machine Neil left behind that Neil becomes concerned for her. (Similar to Collin in Finding Paradise.) While she wants to stay on the beach and relive the same day over and over, it's not possible.
There was a brief mention of immortality. One being a jellyfish that reverts back to infancy as it reaches the end of their lifespan and questioning if it's still the same jellyfish or not. Then compared to humans how we regenerate new cells except the brain and heart.
Roxie finds it romantic, Eva wishes that those also gets replaced with every pass.
Neil's death was either sudden or his condition was kept secret from Eva? Eva mentioned he didn't give her enough time to prepare and Neil didn't know what to do and I think he said he made the machine just so he just doesn't disappear and to leave something behind for her.
*Edit* I completely forgot about Paper Memories. I'm guessing the phone call Eva got from Roxie was that Neil passed away (given how distressed Roxie was in that one panel). It is possible that that portion was in the machine and that Rob and Roxie were aware. That whole portion is basically like this Beach Episode.
Edit2: thinking again, the call could be him in critical condition since in the comic Neil mentions making that garden. Eva not replying to Neil on how he died makes it sound like it was traumatic. She mentioned something about a surgery when talking to Lynri and Quincy and asking how he is when he visits them but not sure if that's involved or just a throwaway line.
Neil lives on with regrets; mostly wishing Eva was his girlfriend and more. Though he isn't real in the game, he still carries the memories he had. He built her "a garden" (comic reference) but she started spending too much time. And she can't fully enjoy it because he continues to keep her at arms length.
Neil locked himself in his room, much like he did in many instances throughout the series and now canonically, all throughout the life Eva and Neil has been together. Thinking he's doing what's best for her when all she wanted is him to be "here'
He regrets those decisions but it's understandable on why he did it. In Impostor Factory, Lynri's condition was hereditary and is in Neil. Seeing Quincy's face of absolute loneliness knowing he's about to lose his wife and eventually his son, it would devastate anyone. Neil making a machine to make it so that Eva would never have to go through that, while admirable, changed nothing. If not, made things worse.
How they close the game was brutal: The world Neil created for Eva to never be alone after he has passed slowly fading away, concluding with Eva being alone, crying, as she turns the machine off.
You couldn't just leave it like this for them. Together alone on the beach.
No. It's just Eva. Alone.
#sigmund corp#mumbles#ttm beach episode#now we wait for the Last Hour of an Epic To the Moon RPG#i can see why Kan said one of these will be the “good ending”#i sincerely love this series; please give it a go if you can#I forgot about Paper Memories so will add more later

Simon Ghost Riley x reader
Liability chapter eighteen!
summary: after learning the real reason ghost didn't want her there, reader confronts him and earns the truth.

In a quiet, dimly lit room, Soap walked her back to her quarters, persistently seeking the information he held. She implored him, "Johnny, you have to tell me what you know. You hate lying; I know this is bothering you."
"Look, I want to tell you everything I know... but in good conscience, I can't," he responded, sighing and avoiding eye contact.
"Why?" she questioned.
He sighed again and looked down, not ready to answer. "You know why, lass..."
"Because he told you not to?" she asked, already aware that Ghost was involved.
Johnny nodded slightly. "I won't tell anyone," she assured him.
"I know, lass... but I have my orders," he explained, struggling with the dilemma. she, looked into his eyes, pleading, "I'm your friend; please do this for me."
"I know... and I will... for you, lass," Simon replied, taking a deep breath. “ the reason it took so long to get you back is because Ghost was trying to replace you with someone else. I fought for you to stay but Ghost was set on keeping you home…” Tears welled up in her eyes as she processed the information.
“he wants to keep you safe, this is the last place he wants you to be, in the middle of danger”
“I'm not in danger if I'm strictly on base”
“lass, this is war. danger surrounds us at every corner, we're lucky to be alive, trust me, I would take you straight home if I could but you're safer with us now”
“if that's true then why wouldn't he just talk to me?” she asks, he laugh as they all knew ghost had never been praised for his communcaitn skills.
“you can't ask Ghost to actually talk about feelings, he's the most closed up person I've ever met.”
“I told you it was different with us”
“it's different, yea. but you still can't ask him to talk. that's just how he's always been, he's never been good with his emotions…”
“fucking men”
“I feel personally attacked”
“you should”
“It’s probably better I get over him now” she admits
“he's a hard guy to get over, lass”
“you got a crush on him too?” she asks, Johnny cackles and nearly collapses on the floor
“he's all yours Soapy” she jokes
“yeah have fun with him tonight, its nearly lights out” he smirks before turning and leaving her alone.
However, emotions escalated when she entered another room to see Simon himself.
"I'm so upset I can't even look at you right now," she declared.
"I know... and I'm sorry," Simon sighed, averting his gaze as she confronted him.
"Sorry for being a prick or sorry for trying to get me fired from my job because I'm not stable enough?" she snapped, her frustration evident. Simon cursed Soap under his breath for divulging the information.
He sighed again, looking away. "When I heard you were coming back, I..."
"How dare you! That was not your call to make! This job is all I have left!" she retorted, her anger escalating.
Simon shook his head. "I'm not sorry, actually."
"Oh, of course not!” she accused, her tone laced with resentment.
“Your sister died, and you gave yourself a few months. You're not ready to be back,"
"You have no idea what's going on inside my head! We haven't spoken since I left that day; you made sure of that!" she defended herself.
"Because you wouldn't listen!" he shot back.
"To what?”
“ I told you to live a life; this isn't where you should be!" Simon argued, frustrated.
"I'm still struggling to understand why you think you know what's best for me. You act like you hate my existence six hours ago!" she exclaimed.
Simon sighed and laid back. "It's not that simple."
"Never is with you," she retorted, turning to look at him.
"And why is that?"
"You tell me, Simon... oh, my bad, I'm not allowed to call you that anymore!" she said sarcastically.
Simon sighed again. "God damn it."
"You went above price and talked to Shepard. You told him I was unstable! How dare you! Do you really hate me that much?" she accused, sitting forward.
"I trusted you more than anyone in this world”
“I did what was best for you," he tried to explain.
"You did what was best for you. If you wanted me to stay away, you should've just asked," she argued, leaning closer.
"I didn't want you to stay away. I wanted you to go live your life," Simon confessed.
"So you thought the best way to make sure I lived my life was to ghost me?" she questioned, sitting forward as their faces were inches apart.
"I waited for you to call for months!" she yells, putting his hand on her cheek.
"Why didn't you? What was so bad that you couldn't pick up the phone?" she pressed, emotions bubbling to the surface.
"I was scared... scared of losing you," Simon admitted, his vulnerability showing.
"So you pushed me away?" she stood up and confronted him.
"God damn it, darling, I..." Simon began, but she stood with him, refusing to back down.
"sit down," he commanded, frustrated.
"Why do you keep barking orders at me? I don't get you!" she shouted back.
"Stop provoking me!" Simon snapped.
"Or what, you'll accidentally slip up and tell me the truth?" she glared at him angrily.
“when Emma died I thought that I was next, I didn't know how I was ever gonna survive without her. I was so utterly broken and then you sat with me. we talked for hours and you told me about your past... you have no idea how much that meant to me. you've been such a mystery and when you were brave enough to tell me those things... that was everything to me. It felt like you were the only person in the world who understood how I felt, you didn't lie and tell me that it would get better. You were honest and you told me it was gonna suck but through the worst pain I would find myself. you are the reason I'm here, your words got me through it. And then to never get a call... I don't know what I did wrong”
As she poured out her feelings, Simon's fury turned into remorse. He realized the impact he had on her life, especially during the tough times.
"I... have been so stupid,"
she scoffed.
"Listen, love, please, let me explain," Simon pleaded, taking her hand.
"When I saw you again today... I wasn't mad. I was happy," he confessed, trying to bridge the gap between them.
"Yeah, sure felt like it," she retorted, shaking her head.
"No... no listen, I was happy. You have no idea how often you've been on my mind," Simon revealed, looking into her eyes.
"I wish I'd just called you," he expressed regret.
"Why didn't you?" she questioned.
"People who get close to me die," Simon confessed, realization striking her as her heart shatters. Of course, it all made sense now. How had she been so stupid? Simon would never hurt her intentionally if it wasn’t to protect her.
she nodded tearfully. "I understand."
"I never wanted to hurt you. I just wanted you to leave because... I thought you were better off without me," Simon sighed, expressing his misguided intentions.
"You've never been more wrong," she whispered.
"darling," Simon began, but their conversation was interrupted by Soap, barging in with urgent intel.
"We gotta go, but can we talk more when this is over?" Simon asked as he grabbed his gun.
"Be safe," she said
They nodded at each other, acknowledging the unresolved emotions between them as they prepared to face the imminent threat.

Christmas in the Tracy household was a big family affair. The house itself was a big one. Big enough to house extended family and the bustle and noise that involved.
Scott loved it. Loved everyone being together, the hugs, the jokes, the fact that Uncle Lee always called him ‘Little Jeff’ and told the best stories about planes and rockets. Aunt Val always brought the best Christmas cookies with various aircraft drawn on them with icing. Grandma Taylor had different coloured hair every year and this year was bright blue and included glitter. Grandpa Taylor invented toys for a living so he was always welcome. Though Virgil tended to hoard his attention and Scott wasn’t really sure why because Virgil pulled apart everything Grandpa Taylor gave him anyway.
But the best part of Christmas this year was that Daddy was home.
Daddy spent a lot of time away. Scott understood why, but that didn’t stop him from missing him. Dad had stories much like Uncle Lee and often they starred in each other’s tales, but there was something about his father that Scott just looked up to even more.
It didn’t hurt that Uncle Lee made a point of placing Scott’s father in the spotlight in all his stories.
Dad was an amazing person. A hero.
Dad was also very tall and strong and always had the answers Scott needed. While Mom looked after him and his two little brothers and he loved her very much, Dad was…Dad.
And Scott wanted more than anything to grow up and be just like him.
It certainly didn’t hurt that his father had the same colour hair and everyone said Scott looked a lot like him. Scott bore those comments proudly and made a point of doing his best to emulate what his father might do in any situation.
Scott was going to grow up, join the Air Force and do his father proud.
A clatter in the hallway and Virgil barrelled into the room. Uncle Lee, who had been retelling the Mars landing, stopped mid-word and frowned.
His biggest little brother’s eyes widened as he skidded to a halt and straightened himself up. “Uh, excuse me, Uncle Lee.” A blink, and he looked fit to burst. “Could I please speak to Scott?”
“Sure….squirt.”
That caused Virgil to frown. Scott thought it was funny. Uncle Lee never seemed to be able to remember Virgil’s name.
And besides, Virgil had a thing about being smaller than Scott and didn’t like it being pointed out.
However, Virgil hurried over anyway. “Scotty, can I borrow Chuckles?”
Blink “His name’s not ‘Chuckles’, it’s Chuck.”
“Oh, okay.” Virgil bit his lip. “But can I anyway?”
“Why?”
“Johnny won’t leave me alone.”
“He’ll eat his goggles.”
“Better than him eating my nuts.”
Uncle Lee made an odd sound that dissolved into a cough when Scott and Virgil looked at him.
Scott sighed. “Virgil, it’s Christmas. We’re supposed to share.”
Virgil dragged Scott part way across the room, away from Uncle Lee and lowered his voice.
“I tried, but the kit contains small bits. Mom said Johnny wasn’t allowed to play with small things. She said he was too young.” It was almost hissed under Virgil’s breath. “I don’t want him to get hurt or to get into trouble. Chuckles always distracts him.”
His name wasn’t ‘Chuckles’, it was ‘Chuck’ after Chuck Yeager, the first pilot to break the sound barrier. But Virgil had called the bear ‘Chuckles’ once as a joke, Johnny had picked it up and now it was all about Chuckles. It was annoying.
“Well, give him the nuts and tell him to go eat them somewhere else.”
Virgil stared at him aghast, but then his eyes widened. “Nuts. As in ‘nuts and bolts’, Scott! I’m building the robot Grandpa Taylor brought me. Johnny keeps trying to eat bits of metal.”
Oh.
Uncle Taylor had picked up his tablet, but was now staring at them, a question on his face. “You boys okay?”
Scott nodded. “Yes, Uncle Lee. Virgil just needs some help with his kit. I’ll be back in a moment.”
Blue eyes gauged him, but Scott was more worried about his littlest brother and dragged Virgil out the door.
“Where is Johnny?”
“On the floor outside my room.”
“You didn’t leave the door open, did you?”
“No.”
Scott hurried down the hall. “Why didn’t you call Mom?”
“I tried. Mom is talking to Aunt Val and she sounded sad. I didn’t want to interrupt and I didn’t want Johnny to get into trouble. Chuckles will fix it.”
“His name is not Chuckles!”
Scott rounded the corner and to his horror, Virgil’s door was wide open.
He didn’t bother to acknowledge Virgil’s gasp of horror, but instead barrelled on through the door terrified he would find his little brother choking on the floor.
But Virgil’s desk was empty except for the scattered pieces of his project. A quick glance around the room and Scott quickly found Johnny.
He was no more than a tuft of red hair wrapped around Scott’s pilot bear, half buried in Virgil’s bed covers.
Two wide eyes popped up over the top of those goggles. “Scotty!”
Scott hurried over to the bed. “Johnny, are you okay?”
“Chuckles!” Johnny held up the bear and grinned.
Scott sighed and sat down on the bed next to his littlest brother. His heart was beating fast - he had been so scared.
Virgil stood in the centre of his room staring at Johnny, his lip trembling. It was obvious he realised what could have happened when he left to get help.
Tears welled in his eyes. “I’m sorry, Scotty. I thought he couldn’t get in. I didn’t want him to get hurt.”
“Virg, he’s okay.” The fright in Virgil’s eyes had the eldest hurrying off the bed from one brother to another. “C’mon, Johnny’s fine. He went and got Chuckles, didn’t you, Johnny?”
The three-year-old’s eyes peered up at Virgil registering his distress and soaking it in like a sponge. His grin vanished and his brow crumpled. “Virgil?” Johnny clambered out of the bed and scampered over to his next eldest brother. “Chuckles? Chuckles make it better?” He offered Virgil the bear.
Virgil stared at Chuckles for a moment before reaching out and taking the fluffy toy. He poked at it gently before hugging it to his chest.
John threw himself at his brother with a huge hug almost knocking Virgil over. Scott reached out and steadied him before adding his own arm to the mix and hugging both his brothers at once. “It’s okay. We’re okay.”
Scott had to scrub snot off Chuckles’ ear later that night.
-o-o-o-
Christmas Eve was family relaxing time before the busy of the next day. Mom, who had been in the kitchen with Onaha since just after breakfast, called a halt to everything at six in the evening and they sat down for a light buffet of a meal. Every family member donated time or a dish which was mostly warm finger foods like pie and things on sticks.
Scott always looked forward to dessert on Christmas Eve because there were all sorts of interesting things to be had. Aunt Val’s Christmas cookies was one of them.
He stood staring at the different planes so artistically drawn on each of them. They were good enough to be recognisable and none of that generic kiddy stuff kids’ books tried to throw at him. Some were historical, some more modern.
“Trying to decide which plane to eat this year, honey?” Grandma Tracy crept up behind him and wrapped her arms around him. Her long blonde hair flopped over his shoulder as she leant in to kiss him on the cheek. “Merry Christmas, Scotty.”
“Merry Christmas, Grandma.” But he was still frowning at the cookies. “I can’t see Dad’s plane.”
“Your dad has flown several of those.”
“Yeah, but I want the Sparrowhawk Anderson ZX3.”
Grandma snorted. “Then you’ll have to chase up your father. I saw him nab it earlier.”
Scott turned to his grandmother. “Really?”
“Really.” And it was his father’s deep, smiling voice as Scott was suddenly scooped up in strong laughing arms. “C’mon, ‘Little Jeff’, I’ve saved you your favourite cookie.”
Scott giggled and squirmed, but ultimately clung to his dad, resting his head on his shoulder for just a moment as he was carried across the room to his father’s chair and plomped down on his lap as the man sat down. The longed-for cookie was produced and Scott grabbed it. “Thanks, Dad.”
A big hand on his back, another on his knee, Scott was held close.
“So, what have you and your brothers been up to this week?”
Scott stared at the cookie with the grey, blue and red jet iced on top. “Virgil, did a good drawing of a plane. He didn’t get the tail quite right, but I helped him with that. Johnny learnt some new words.” He couldn’t hold back any longer and bit into the cookie.
It was the best.
Dad snorted. “I heard. I suspected it was you who taught Johnny to say ‘extra-orbital’.”
Scott grinned, his mouth full of biscuit crumbs.
“Swallow before you talk, son.” But his father was smirking.
Scott downed the remains of the cookie, caught between enjoying it and the opportunity to sit and talk with his dad. “He knows all the planets, too.”
“Really?” His father frowned. “He’s only three years old, Scotty.”
Scott sat a bit straighter. I taught him all the names and showed him Mars where you and Uncle Lee went.”
The smile that appeared on his dad’s face only encouraged him. “Virgil drew him pictures of each of them and we stuck them on the wall in his room.”
“That was very kind of the two of you.”
“It made Johnny happy.” Scott didn’t want to mention that Johnny was sometimes sad and always serious. “I want to help him.”
“It sounds like you are doing an excellent job.”
“I’m the eldest.” And Scott knew what Dad was going to say.
“Yes, you are, and that means you have to look after your little brothers. They look up to you and they are your responsibility.”
Scott stared up at those serious grey eyes and for just a second Dad looked like Johnny. “Yes, Dad. I will, I promise.”
His father’s big hand patted his back. “I know you will.”
Scott smiled.

Okay, so hi!! I’m kinda new to this fandom and I have a lot of ideas for so many characters but nobody will listen to me 😭
But I have an email idea, I like to think it’s realistic. Basically, I had this small HC where majority of the members of 411, most if not all are in some form of manipulative. Just hear me out — not manipulative as people (like in their day to day lives) but more over, manipulative when it comes to missions and interrogations. And I think Soap is by far the most manipulative.
Like just hear me out; He’s smart, knows his way around people and things, got Ghost THE Ghost to actually open up to him, you’re gonna tell me he doenst know a thing or two about psychology?
Lemme just give you a scenario of how I think Soap’s manipulation plays out: It’s a scenario of what if Ghost and Soap both got taken captive during a mission?
Highly unlikely, but just stay with me here.
If both of them get kidnapped, Ghost is the main one looking for a way out. Resisting, keeping his mouth shut, all that. Like defiance on MAX, not even so much of a wince when they decide physical torture. Like basically spitting in the captor’s faces but not actually spitting in their face. Ghost, I think, is the least manipulative. Not in terms of psychologically. Physically, perhaps.
While Soap is taking advantage of the situation and fucking with everyone psychologically. And I mean FUCKING WITH THEM. (I actually had a small HC that Soap’s brain matured faster than kids his age and he was really manipulative as a child/teen ((he learned it from watching his parents)) and he often uses those same skills a lot on missions.)
I think Soap grew and realized the shit he used to do was absolutely horrible, but will utilize those same skills for the greater good of his comrades.
And what I mean by fucking with everyone, say one of the captors has something against the military because their brother died there, an accident involving a bomb. Soap would proceed to make up the most EXTREMELY believable lie on the spot on how he was involved and even KILLED the guy himself because he made up for such target practice. And would literally have the most conniving smile when he gets a weapon pointed at him, knowing full well they won’t kill him or Ghost.
Like there would be three captors, or people involved with the knocking Ghost and Soap out and taking them to the base. For each captor, Soap would tell a lie about their past to them and watch them absolutely loose their shit about it because bursting out laughing and saying “I’m just kidding! Not a single word was true :D”
Like I think they would be so fucking believable GHOST HIMSELF would be believing them and getting equally as frustrated when it was a lie 💀
And even more frustrated when after they left, Soap tells him that he never had a plan and just was winging it. Like those lies weren’t pre planned, they were purely improv and Soap had no clue where he was going with them.
Soap’s the type to lie about certain events in his life to maybe sympathize with victims or captors to get to them to talk. And the lies can be so fucking believable, Soap will say them with all the conviction he has, you’d believe he was true. Until you fact check and realize “Oh no there’s no way that could’ve happened”.
And how Ghost felt, It would be a mix of “why tf am I in love with you again?” and “you could convince me that you’re my therapist and I’ve been in a mental hospital all this time, and everything was in my head, and I would whole heartedly believe you and that terrifies me” along with “god, I love you. never change, Johnny. never change.”
Anyway, thanks for listening, ignore this if you want and adios ^^
See you understand me. Soap being a fucking liar is everything to me. Manipulative little asshole. Does he get physically violent? Yes, in fact he clearly enjoys some level of destruction (for example: Looking at an oil rig exploding as if it were the most beautiful thing he’s ever seen). But also, he just lies. Gaslights, even. Ghost simultaneously hates it and thinks about proposing every time Soap does it

i would like so sincerely apologize for the sad writing i made a few days ago, please take this semi cute one 🧍🏾♀️ im gonna milk the shit out of this btw
content warning : !!!CALL OF DUTY MW3 SPOILERS!!! , Female reader , death , angst in general
It’s been a few months after yours and Johnnys deaths… Simon still wasn’t doing good but he was better than he was before. he went back to working with the rest of 141 a few times and there was a mission he was on that he got injured on pretty badly and he was fighting for his life in the hospital for days…
he was on a mission in Russia, flying in the back of a helicopter with Gaz being the pilot, Simon and John shooting at enemies down below. he was hitting every target and being dead silent while he did so. in the corner of his eye he saw something flying towards them but he didn’t think much of it, he just kept shooting trying to take out his anger on people that weren’t even involved in your deaths. suddenly the back of the helicopter was hit by a rocket of a rocket launcher. Simon immediately fell back as the helicopter lost control and started spinning in the air. Gaz tried his best to regain control but it was hard
John tried reaching for Simon once he noticed him starting to slip out, he failed to grab him in time and Simon fell out. after that Simon woke up in a hospital bed with tubes connected to him and in an excruciating amount of pain, he tried moving but eventually passed out from the pain…
this would happen a lot over the next few days, him waking up, screaming out in pain and passing out the rest of the day… the doctors only gave him a week to survive because his injuries were so severe, when he landed on the floor after falling out the helicopter he broke almost every bone in his body, lungs were punctured and many vital organs were damaged.
Simon woke up and his eyes shot open… he wasn’t in a hospital bed… or the hospital room he grew to be familiar with every time he woke up and screamed in pain… most importantly he wasn’t in pain… he moved his hands to touch his chest and stomach as if he had lost something. he looked around and he was in the living room of a house with a fire place, christmas decorations, a blanket over his lap and a cup of tea on the little coffee table beside his chair.
you walked in with a tray full of snacks and Johnny followed after you, you both we talking about holidays and how you can spend them with a few people who very clearly were not alive anymore, you placed the tray on the larger coffee table and you looked up to see Simon staring at the two of you.
“Y/n…. Johnny…?” he asked almost a little scared but confused. he slowly stood up and immediately ran to bring the two of you into a tight hug. Johnny laughed softly as he hugged him back, so did you
“Hey Simon, buddy! we missed you” Johnny said with the happiest sounding tone of voice
“hello to you too, Simon” you chuckled as you rubbed his back gently. you felt him shaking like he was crying — which he was. he buried his face into your shoulder and held you and Johnny like this was the last time he ever would
“am… am i dreaming…?” he said softly as he calmed down his crying and looked down at the two of you.
“no… you’re not…” you said softly as you looked up at Simon. you knew he knew he was dead…. you just didn’t know if it settled in quite yet
“what is this place…?”
“our home…. Simon… this is where we live from now on…” Johnny said softly as he could also tell Simon that knew he was dead, it just hasn’t settled in yet. after a while of silence and looking around the living room in shock Simon smiled softly and he laughed softly as well…
“whats so funny, Bubba?” you said jokingly using the nickname you had for him before you died
“i wasn’t expecting the afterlife to be something we all wanted….” he said as he walked to look out the window, it was snowing showing that it was christmas time in the afterlife just like it was in the real world. You and Johnny looked at each other before walking over to stand next to him
“we all wanted the same thing….”
“that was to spend the rest of eternity together…” you added softly as you looked at the two men
“im glad im home…” Simon said softly as he grabbed the two of you into another hug. the three of you laughed softly as you hugged realizing you all wanted the exact same thing in the after life — to be together

hihi curious anon here, what is the JTOU au about? The designs for Mark and Cesar for the AU look so cute!!
YIPPEE Thank youuu so much anon!! ><❤️
I am glad that you are interested in my au, so I will try to tell you everything simply but in detail :3
Just two of us (JTOU) is an au in the form of a visual novel on behalf of Adam Murray.
When Adam went down the stairs to the basement (as we know from vol 2), he begins to realize his guilt to Jonah for yelling at him and telling him to leave this place. He wants to contact Jonah on the walkie-talkie, but Jonah's line is suddenly cut off. Adam got nervous and rushed out of that house in search of his partner. After a while, he finds a BPS van near the highway that crashed into a tree, and Jonah himself was in it, but already dead. After this moment, Adam was constantly followed by a feeling of great guilt, as well as his depression gradually developed. He started drinking, and after a while he accepted that Jonah was dead. But a year later, one day he meets Jonah on the street. From his drunken state, Adam does not realize that he is now seeing him, and even feels him. Only then does he realize that Jonah Marshall is standing in front of him, and not dead. Adam blinked and saw that his friend was now in a different guise, because he had become half an alternative. Despite this one, who now lives in the same body as Jonah, he remains conscious and in no way wants to harm Adam. Adam runs away from him in fear, and after that, for a long time, Jonah tries to regain Adam's trust. Cesar and Sarah try to help Jonah convince Adam, while Mark doesn't want to get involved in this whole damn thing at all, and Evelyn is already desperate, and if she sees Adam drunk again, another tantrum will arise. From the very beginning, Sarah was angry at Adam for drinking, smoking, hanging out somewhere and leaving work with BPS somewhere behind. Therefore, she was the one who asked Cesar to deal with Murray. Then, Cesar invites Adam to his house for a conversation. Because Cesar had been interested in alternatives for a long time, which means he was sure that he would be able to convince Adam that Jonah, despite the alternative, remains the same Jonah. As an example, he cites his cat Johnny, who, just like Jonah, once died and became a monster, but at the same time remained in his mind. Adam is annoyed that Cesar is trying to be instructive here, he makes one sharp movement and breaks the frame with the photo where Cesar was with Mark, Sarah and Johnny. Adam immediately looked into Cesar's eyes, which turned red, or else they looked like Johnny the cat's. He begins to feel something paranormal around Cesar and runs away from home. It turns out that Johnny, as a half-alternative, was able to do the M.A.D effect on people. He taught Cesar this, and besides, they are together almost as one. Adam also left his bag at Cesar's house, and Torres, after rummaging through it, finds a knife there. It immediately became clear to him that Adam could resort to extreme cases and kill Jonah. In the future, Cesar will return the bag along with the knife to Adam, but he will no longer help. Sometimes Cesar will, on the contrary, interfere with Adam, show him what a pathetic alcoholic he is. There is also another line of events between Adam and Tetcher. Thatcher suspects Adam of killing Jonah, and Adam's task is to turn around from the police and plead not guilty.
There are two endings in this au: the good and the bad. A good one, where Adam accepts Jonah as he is and they continue to be friends as childhood friends. And in a bad ending, Jonah gets tired of putting up with it all and then, losing control, he gives himself up to an alternative. The alternative Jonah brings Adam to the point of semi-death, and then kills each of his acquaintances in front of him: Sarah, Mark, Cesar and Evelyn. At an unexpected moment, a bullet flies into Jonah, and turning around, the monster sees Thatcher who is trying to stop the alternative. But in vain, Jonah did not feel pain and then he kills Thatcher too. And then he kills Adam. It all ends with Jonah crying and being left alone.
and yes, I have a separate hashtag where there are more art for my au. u can check it out! :3

[ 23.39 ] racer!jisung — angst / personal fave
“no, i don’t think this is good for you! i don’t think this is good for anyone! you got lucky today so be grateful for once!” you shouted at jisung, hands on your hips in disappointment.
jisung sat on the medical bed in full leather, some parts torn and scratched, while cuts and bruises covered whatever parts of his body were visible. jaemin stood in front of him cleaning him up while renjun perched at the end of the bed holding your partner’s jacket.
“but think ab- you’re being cocky and it’s not helping anyone ji!” you cut him off in pure anger. being a street racer was nothing to joke about, doing many illegal things with life threatening risks involved.
“why not? i won and that’s what counts.” oh, you thought. he was oddly calm for someone that had almost died.
before you could speak up again jeno and chenle came in with smiles on their faces, mark and haechan soon followed each holding a large black gym bag. “guess how much?” jeno’s smiled increased.
jisung began smiling too. “no. i can’t do this anymore,” as the look of anger on your face turned to disappointment and sadness he began frowning, pushing jaemin out the way and standing up “i can’t do us anymore.” you said using your hands to motion the two of you.
“if you cared you would have stopped when i asked you to…” carefully you look up at him, heartbreak in his eyes as he felt what was coming. he began shaking his head slightly trying to push away any pain he felt as his chest began to ache.
eventually he was stood right in front of you, barely any space separating you even though your hearts were miles apart. the pain wasn’t worth it, the waiting was a waste of time.
slowly you reached a hand up to rest on his cheek, the other one taking his hand that hung next to him. “honey, look at you…” you started, stroking his cheek as you spoke “i’d rather leave before i lose you. you may have won but i lost…”
jisung tightened his grip on your hand, silently begging you not to leave. his chest hurt, his head hurt, everything hurt physically and emotionally. he couldn’t lose you, his lucky charm. his love.
“i don’t want to be there when one day i’m sitting at home, our home, waiting for you and you never come.” trying to look at anything but him you lifted your hand to play with his hair, moving it away from his eyes “what do i do then, hm?” tears began pooling in your eyes at the thought.
although it was inappropriate to have this conversation in front of his friends and team mates it had to be done. you wouldn’t be able to live with yourself if you were involved in his life if he died the way he almost did today, especially when you’ve been trying your hardest to get him to stop.
“honey, i understand you love the rush and you do it for the boys so i can’t force you to stop but seeing you go through this hurts me too much. i tried my best, i really did but i can’t do this anymore.” you rest you hand on his cheek once more, stroking under his eye as he begins to cry.
jisung looks down at the floor, blinking as hard as he can to get the tears to go away. he begins shaking his head much harder now as his grip tightens even more. “but what if- if they ge- get you?” he managed to get out.
“then i’ll call you or jaemin or johnny or whoever picks up first, my love. i just don’t want any part in this before it’s too late.” you softly explained, nct’s rivals had been hot on their heels recently after many losses at the hands of jisung, jungwoo and yangyang and began following doyoung’s partner unaware she was also on their team.
jisung looked like a child right now, clinging onto his partner because he couldn’t get his own way. he understood everything perfectly but this wasn’t what he wanted but he didn’t want to quit either… but that would mean potentially leaving you alone one day without any notice to fend for yourself while you wait for him to come back to you and that’s not fair.
“oh ji, i love you with all my heart. i’ll wait for you for some time to stop this but after that i really don’t think i can. i have a life too and i’d love to live it with you but you won’t give it a chance.” he looked up at you with red eyes, still crying. your tears fell too but in his eyes you looked like the prettiest person on the planet.
this was long overdue, everything from the past three years you’ve known about the real him has lead to this. you couldn’t do it anymore and it wasn’t fair. the only person not affected by jisung’s actions was himself.
his grip on your hand loosened, “you’ll come back to me one day, right?” he didn’t reply “hm?” you hummed ever so softly, how the smile on your face hurt him. he timidly nodded.
“then we’ll be okay, my love. next year we can go to japan when all the cherry blossoms are out again and it’ll all be fixed.” you placed both of your hands on jisung’s cheeks and stare into his eyes.
how could you look at him with so much love after everything he’s done? how could you say that to him when you both know it won’t be fine? how can you say all of that when you know he won’t come back to you?
carefully you placed your lips on his. it was a soft kiss and it was over after three seconds, too short for his liking. it was full of love, it was a goodbye kiss. after you pulled back you still remained close, eye contact never breaking.
“i love you, i’ll see you then.” you smiled.
“as do i, i can’t wait.” he said, wiping your tears and kissing your forehead. his lips stayed on there for a while, not wanting you to leave but he couldn’t be selfish anymore.
jaemin noticed your discomfort and pulled him back. “chenle can walk you to your car,” he started slowly, sitting jisung back down before coming out of the room with you and chenle “goodbye.” although you weren’t super close with jaemin he still hugged you, pulling you into a warm embrace that could only remind you of a parent’s love.
once he let you go he gave you a small wave before going back into the medical room. you stood there, unsure why you were frozen. maybe you wanted to say goodbye or just return the hug.
chenle softly grabbed your elbow to motion you to come along, walking through the halls of the house felt weird. you could go into any hallway or room and think of a memory you shared with your partner.
as you reached the front door you turned to face chenle. “i’m sorry that happened and… it’s really unfortunate that we met like this because i think you’re a really great guy… it’s a shame we met this way…” you smiled at him as you wiped your tears.
he didn’t reply, not sure on how to comfort you so instead he gave you a small smile and pat on the shoulder. the pair of you stood in silence for a moment before you smiled one more time.
“you don’t need to see me out. thank you, again, for everything. i hope we meet again a different way next time.” you said before you turned your back, leaving and softly closing the door behind you.
everyone knew jisung would never give up the rush that street racing gave him. the betting, the winning, the speed, the adrenaline. it was all too perfect for him, he would never give it up regardless of how it hurt everyone else.
he loves you but he loves racing more. what ever you make him feel is nothing compared to what he feels when he’s inside that car.
you knew you wouldn’t see him next march, you knew you wouldn’t see him at all anymore but that was ok… it had to be ok.

Do you have Dallas hcs
Ooooh yes I do!
(tw for abuse and alcohol and a/h implications)
I don’t think Dallas was born in Tulsa—to me he was born in New York
He used to have a pretty alright life—he lived in an apartment with his mom and dad and his little brother Rusty.
When Dallas was around seven or so his mom died unexpectedly from cancer and that was when things shifted
His dad started drinking and would abuse the hell out of Dallas and Rusty
Thats why Dallas has trust issues
He ran away with Rusty when he was around ten and Rusty was eight and he just boarded the train to Tulsa and that was it
The reason Dallas ended up in jail when he was twelve (was that said in the book?) was because he had stolen food for him and Rusty. He just tells Pony that it was for something more vadass because he’s ashamed to admit that
He was caught doing it again but that was when Buck showed up and got involved-he pretended Dallas and Rusty were his sons and he took them in
Dallas was (is) a very suicidal person and tried to commit once
Rusty died trying to save Dallas from an oncoming car (Rusty was only twelve and didn’t really know Dallas was trying to kill himself and Rusty died in his arms (another reason Dallas breaks down and yells at Johnny “That’s what you get for helping people you little punk!” Like in reality he’s still bitter his brother saved him even though he knew he shouldn’t be
Dallas has self harmed and when he found out Johnny did too he exploded and just showed Johnny his own scars and just said “is this how you want to end up..?” and Johnny’s the only one who knows his scars are self inflicted. Darry knows too but he won’t admit it
He took Johnny in when Johnny was about thirteen after his brother died because he remained him so much of Rusty and he knew he needed to protect Johnny from the world in the way Rusty wasn’t
(that’s a lot of angst-)
Book Dallas has albinism-that’s all
He loves anything minty
He secretly really loves Christmas but will say his favorite holiday is Halloween
The only person he lets touch him affectionately (hugging/cuddling) is Johnny
He hates seeing Johnny go hungry so he ends up stealing food for him a lot (he knows how to not get caught anymore)
That’s all! Hope these are good!

Another Dp x DC au!
That's right! I'm back at it again, strangely hyperfixated on Johnny 13, but oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Johnny 13 is a clone au!!
This neat little au appeared sometime after seeing an au where another one of Danny's clones had survived and named himself 31.
So of course I saw Johnny 13 and went :)
So Johnny is a clone. The 13th clone to be exact and the one that lived the longest out of all the rest of the clones. Of course he still died (he is a ghost) but he had lived long enough for his soul to imprint on enough ectoplasm to form.
What about the other clones?
Shadow
That's right! The clone's fear and pain was enough to turn them into shades but there wasn't enough individuality or something to grab onto, so they weren't able to form into their own ghosts!
So what were baby shades, who wouldn't be able to survive once again alone, to do? Take a page out of a school of fish's book and latch onto each other in order to survive!
Shades feed off emotions in order to survive, since I hc that they aren't strong enough to be able to properly intake raw ectoplasm. So they take it in it's base stage instead!
So what are a school of shades to do when they see a small ghost that feels the same way they do?
Adopt him into the school of course! :) they're all siblings here and family sticks together! So what if this one is stronger than them? That just means more chances for survival!
They take everything happily with a grain of salt. Of course Johnny gets ghost adopted. Because he's still a child.
Tbh I believe it's Walker that adopts him. Mostly because I just like tough guys being soft to their own kids. Either that or Spectra 🤔 then again I don't remember either of the characters interacting with each other so it's possible!
Walker would probably try to separate Johnny and the Shades at first. But after asking why Johnny would just say:
"They're my siblings!"
And that would be the end of that! The shades would feed off Johnny's emotions sometimes, and Johnny would help his shades by scaring people and causing chaos sometimes!
I headcannon that if a shade tries hard enough or becomes the apprentice of an ancient (I.E Nocturn and his dream walkers) Shades could become strong enough to feed on ectoplasm with the occasional emotion and live fairly normal ghostly lives.
Of course Johnny's siblings aren't about to do that anytime soon since that'd involve leaving one of their own behind :)
So instead they stick together, happy to just be a family, as weird as they are.
Of course this wouldn't be a crossover au if Johnny and his siblings DIDN'T somehow find their way onto the JL radar.
Could be entirely on accident
Johnny looks like the splitting imagine of whoever he was cloned from.
Johnny and his shadow could've gone causing chaos!
But I like the possibility of BatMan or the YJL stumbling across the area in which Johnny and the others were made.
I remember seeing a post with a theory that ghosts could feel when you mess with their grave/corpse. So when the YJL stumble upon him and his siblings grave site.
Johnny would be PISSED! That's his siblings GRAVE! Who dares to step foot near them?! And proceeds to speed through a portal that just so happens to open right in front of the f*ckers that dared mess with something so important to him.
(Imagine finding a room with the corpses and still being used test tubes of failed clones and all of a sudden you hear a Roar that shakes the earth before an entire LAZARUS PIT opens in the middle of the room and a pissed off looking cyclist with the souls of the damned, charges out at you with a war cry. And you can't hit him)
That would lead to the valid question though of WHO exactly they're cloned after! It was cannon that Roy and of course Superman were cloned. (And maybe one of the batfam if I remember correctly) so could it be one of them? Or someone else?
Either way, Jason is pissed and the team now has an angry ghost and Shadow to deal with.
(I still find it weird that Johnny is the ONLY ONE sans those that have white or black hair, to have A NORMAL HAIR COLOR! Those locks are 110% dyed and bleached! Change my mind! And no, Spectra's human disguise doesn't count, it's fake.)

Feeling Electronic: An Interview With Johnny Marr & Bernard Sumner
Despite having turned 40, Bernard Sumner still looks bafflingly boyish. Kitted-out in a close-cropped haircut, baggy T-shirt, jeans and chunky-soled canvas sneakers, he bounds into the bar of Manchester’s Midland Hotel with surprising enthusiasm. Surprising because, as the frontman with New Order, he was always renowned as the most reticent of interviewees. As he smiles and shakes hands, he has the air of a changed man about him. His partner in Electronic, ex-Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr— who at just 32 looks the older of the two — arrives early to Sumner’s late. Immediately he lives up to his reputation and is soon settling down to relaxed chit-chat.
Together, Sumner and Marr represent a fusion of two of the most influential and creative bands of the 1980s. As the musical foil to the lyrical musings of Morrissey, Marr created some of the most memorable guitar songs of that period. Since parting company in 1987, Morrissey has failed to scale the same artistic heights. And, many would argue, so has Marr. Sumner, meanwhile, spent most of the ’80s and part of the ’90s fronting New Order, a band which — unlike The Smiths, who under the influence of Morrissey took a defiant stance against the dancefloor — embraced the influences of hip-hop, New York’s gay club scene and house music, revealing the exhilerating possibilities of an open-minded approach to pop’s eclectic pantheon. New Order’s artistic and commercial peak came in 1989 with the album Technique, their first number one. At the close of that same year, Electronic released their first single, ‘Getting Away With It’, a collaboration with Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys.
“You’ve got to remember I became a lyricist by default when Ian died. Before that point I never had a single dream or desire to become a singer or lyricist. Never!” Bernard Sumner
Unlike Marr, whose split from The Smiths was clearcut, unequivocal and very public, the situation with New Order — in keeping with much of the band’s career — remains uncertain, open-ended, unresolved. A recent interview with Sumner saw The Independent On Sunday describe the band as ‘now defunct’. Sumner offers a subtle variation on that statement. “The truth is that I didn’t say New Order were defunct, the journalist has made his own mind up about that. The situation with New Order is that we don’t have any plans to record together or play any gigs together, but we haven’t broken up. So,” laughs the singer mischievously, “make your own mind up about it.”
Marr, always eager to add some clarity to the cryptic mutterings of Sumner, adds his own slant on the lack of closure to the New Order story: “A band splitting up is a great thing to write about and a great thing to read about, but it’s not necessarily a great thing to be involved with. Events get carried away with themselves and before you know it there’s a lot of bad feeling and a lot of that is caused by outside influences.”
Different angles, different explanations, but the conclusion is the same: the past weighs heavily on the shoulders of both Marr and Sumner. They have a lot to live down, a lot to live up to. In the early days of Electronic they attempted to purge their music of anything that smacked of their previous exploits. That was before they became at ease with their history. Both, after all, are well versed in dealing with their very public pasts. When The Smiths dissolved, Marr’s response was to dive into a number of collaborations — with The Pretenders, The The, Kirsty MacColl and many others — gaining a reputation as a guitar for hire. “The period between The Smiths and Electronic was a matter of being phoned up by people who I really admire and being asked to make records,” he explains.
This time it’s Sumner’s turn to dig beneath the surface of his partner’s words. “After you’ve been in the confines of a band for a while like both of us had, you want to break the mould. As soon as you get out you do everything you couldn’t do within the group. So Johnny played with a load of different people because he couldn’t with The Smiths. I did a lot of remix work. It’s like with the first Electronic album [released June ‘91]: we put our photographs on the album cover because you couldn’t do that [before]. It was a phase we went through. But now Electronic is the main thing for us.”
For Sumner, of course, his whole career as a singer has been a case of shaking off and living up to the past. When Joy Division singer Ian Curtis committed suicide in May 1980 it left Sumner, the band’s guitarist, not only personally distraught but professionally cast adrift. After deciding to continue as a band and adopting the name New Order on the suggestion of their manager Rob Gretton, someone had to take over as singer. Sumner, a man who maintains that he had never written so much as a childhood poem beforehand, got the short straw: “You’ve got to remember I became a lyricist by default when Ian died. Before that point I never had a single dream or desire to become a singer or lyricist. Never!”
“The two of us expect a lot of ourselves and we just cut out the outside world while we were making the album.” Johnny Marr
Sumner’s lyrics have always been a matter of much scrunity, whether it be to ridicule them — lines like, “I would like a place I can call my own / Have a conversation on the telephone” from New Order’s sublime ‘Regret’ have provoked scorn from detractors — or to celebrate their quite touching ambiquity or autobiographical honesty. But Sumner maintains a quite workmanlike approach to the craft — lyrics, he explains, are written after hearing the finished music, and fitted in accordingly.
“Generally I don’t think, ‘Right, I’m going to write a song about this’. I listen to the music and I’ll see what it suggests to me. And lines or pictures — I’ve always thought in pictures — will pop into my head. If it’s a picture I’ll describe the scene.” Sumner is surprisingly self-critical of the results of this process. “Some of the changes in direction in my lyrics aren’t always welcome, sometimes I get it wrong,” he says, “but I write a lot of lyrics through a kind of subconcious flow.”
Still, despite this playing down of his lyrics — he says he finds it difficult to talk about them — last year Sumner was picked as a songwriter worthy of study by the psychologist Oliver James. In a BBC 2 programme, James sought to assess how the anti-depressant wonder drug Prozac affected creativity. Sumner was one of several participants, from artists to writers, who were put under the spotlight. Consequently the BBC cameras showed Sumner both at work in the studio putting together the new Electronic album as well as relaxing with his girlfriend and family.
“This quy from the BBC came to me and said, ‘Would you like to take Prozac? We’re doing an investigation into its effects on creativity.’ His theory was based on the idea that creative people were creative because basically they were fucked-up in some way, and he wanted to test out his theory, ie, you get all these people who are somehow fucked-up — and he obviously thought I was fucked-up in some way — you give them Prozac, they stop being fucked-up, does their creativity dry up? Which is very interesting.”
And? “I’m not fucked-up, I’m like everybody else; I have my up days and my down days. I found taking Prozac very interesting ‘cos it filtered out all the lows. I didn’t find that it affected my creativity in any way at all.”
Both Sumner and Marr were unhappy with the programme’s conclusions — Sumner was described as being depressed and suffering from ‘hyper-critical voices’. But the subject of Prozac does have relevance to the new Sumner, a man for many years renowned for his passionate embracing of Manchester’s nightlife and drug culture. These days he says he goes jogging every day — “It sharpens the mind” — and is cutting down on alcohol after stomach problems aggravated by an excessive intake of Pernod and orange (although he adds with a smile that he’s cured the ailment, so he can now get back on the Pernods). These lifestyle changes, partly the actions of a man coming to terms with his age, have a direct relevance to how Electronic make their music.
“It used to be a party ethic, now it’s a work ethic. We’d stay up all night and party and that’s how we’d come up with songs,” explains Sumner, describing a way of working which stretches back to both New Order and Joy Division. “But we’ve done that, and this is more challenging and more rewarding because you’re in the driving seat!”
Adds Marr: “It wasn’t that we weren’t getting results that way, we just wanted to do something different.”
In the past, most of Sumner’s lyrics were written under the influence of one stimulant or another, aiding the “flow of conciousness”. So how does the all-new Mr (nearly) Clean write his lyrics? “What do I do now? I sit in a fuckin’ room and beat my brains out,” laughs Sumner.
It doesn’t show. The new Electronic album, Raise The Pressure, is a finely-polished, well-balanced pop album, which, despite both Marr and Sumner’s claims to the contrary, has clear referance points to their work with The Smiths and New Order, particularly the latter. Their obvious desire to break from their musical pasts is wholly understandable, yet their inability to do so is not altogether a cause for concern. Raise The Pressure may bear some of the hallmarks of their ‘80s incarnations, but it sounds well-placed for the current pop climate, with its sparkling combination of guitar-pop and electronic house-inflected dance. Two years in the making, it is quite obviously a record constructed by perfectionists.
“All Bernard and I have cared about over the last few years is Electronic and our families, and the balance has shifted towards Electronic,” explains Marr. “That’s been our life. The two of us expect a lot of ourselves and we just cut out the outside world while we were making the album.”
“Ian Curtis turned me on to Kraftwerk in 1977 and when he did I thought it was the most fantastic thing I’d ever heard.” Bernard Sumner
Recorded in a studio in Johnny Marr’s old house — he moved his family into a new house because “it was easier to move my family out than to move Electronic. It just really suited us” — Marr explains that “we kind of designed the record.” Part of that design involved bringing ex-Kraftwerk stalwart Karl Bartos into the creative equation. He co-wrote some of the tracks and assisted with production. For Sumner, working with Bartos was another direct link to his musical past, taking him back nearly 20 years. “Ian Curtis turned me on to Kraftwerk and when he did I thought it was the most fantastic thing I’d ever heard. You’ve got to remember it was 1977 and everything was punk. Ian played me Trans Europe Express, which was like the total opposite, black and white.”
On the few occasions when Marr and Sumner emerged from the self-imposed isolation of their home-studio, they took Bartos on visits to ‘Flesh’ at the Haçienda, the pinnacle of gay clubbing in Manchester — “Which was interesting,” smiles Marr. All part of the Electronic masterplan, a plan which saw them whittle down 40 pieces of music to 16 songs, 13 of which appear on the new LP. The managing director of their label Parlophone claimed recently: “They don’t need our help to make an album, although we had to put a marker down otherwise they might have gone on forever refining it.” Fair comment?
“That’s bullshit that,” smirks Sumner. “No-one put down any markers.” “What, someone from the record company said that?” laughs Marr incredulously. “Neither of us have ever dealt with A&R people in our lives,” asserts Sumner.
The pair say they have total freedom to get on with making records as and when they want. And despite moving from the fiercely Mancunian and fiercely independent Factory for their first album to the London-based major Parlophone (part of EMI) for their second, nothing much has changed. “For us the situation is no different than when we were on Factory,” says Sumner. “During the whole two years we never saw anyone from Parlophone. In fact, I don’t think we’re actually signed to any record label. We’re signed to our production company which then licences product to Parlophone.”
“‘We finance everything ourselves because we want to keep control of everything,” adds Marr. “We take care of the sleeves, we just deliver the whole thing to Parlophone and they sell it.”
This desire to maintain their independence is closely guarded, and is reflected in their continued strong links to Manchester, despite both having good reason to have broken their connections with the city. Originally from Ardwick, Marr saw his childhood haunts demolished to make way for new developments when his family was shipped off to Wythenshawe. Sumner’s Salford childhood was disrupted in a similar way, and the dislocation felt following the flattening of the terraced street he grew up in still surfaces today, the song ‘Second Nature’ on the new LP being an autobiographical appraisal of that early experience.
“We’ve got an office in London [they are managed by Marcus Russell, Marr’s manager since 1988 and now also looking after Oasis] but we hardly ever go there,” says Marr. After touring the world with both of their previous bands, it seems that Electronic are happiest when back home. And as with New Order, whose unconventional approach to promotion surely stopped them becoming U2-style huge, it could prove an obstacle to Electronic’s progress. Despite claiming that they will be playing live to promote Raise The Pressure, long tours are out of the question, says Sumner. “I don’t want to do 28 dates in America and end up in Kansas on a Sunday night, pulling my hair out and wanting to be in Manchester.”
Welcome home, Electronic.

Ninjago little sister AU, pt. 3~ Jay's turn!!
This is kinda longer than I thought it would be but I hope yall like it anyways <3
Hope you all enjoy 🤭🤭
Gwendolyn "Gwen" Gordon
She hates the name Gwendolyn with a burning passion, so most people just call her Gwen.
Jay calls her Lyn most of the time
So basically Gwen had no idea that Jay existed up until the space of time between Possesion and Dotd
(To make space for when Skybound would've taken place)
Gwen was born a year after Jay, and their mom decided to leave Jay at the junkyard because once she divorced Cliff, she wanted to keep them both
Unfortunately she wasn't able to take care of two young children by herself and made the difficult decision to give up her eldest child
She was leaning towards keeping Jay at first, because he was the one who inherited her elemental powers
She ultimately decided to keep Gwen, bear in mind her taking the children wasn't agreed between her and Cliff
So "Johnny Law" (as Kai calls it lmao) got involved and Libber was forced to hand custody over to Cliff, whom Gwen has lived with ever since
Up until he died obviously
Yes he did still die even though Skybound technically didn't happen
Anyways, Gwen grew up in a very fortunate household, though her father was distant due to his job and because he'd much rather hang out with other random women, models, etc
So she's raised by herself, more or less
Nothing really special happened in her life before she met Jay. She goes to school like any normal kid would, she also becomes a fan of the ninja (like any normal kid would)
Just like her dad, Jay was her favourite (but she didn't know he was Cliff's favourite because its his son ofc)
But one thing stood out throughout her younger years and it was that she wished she was taken by her mom, not her dad
Because he never paid attention to her
When Cliff passed away, she got a hold of his will and was a little confused as to why half of it wasn't in her possesion
She wasn't actually living in the mansion when he passed, by this point she had gotten an apartment of her own (with her dad's money 😭)
Meanwhile Jay still gets the letter that his dad died
Only this time he knows it's not Ed, it's Cliff
So Ed and Edna give him the key to his mansion, at the same time, Gwendolyn also makes her way to the mansion and unlocks it first with her spare key
Jay shows up afterwards and explores the mansion for a bit, looking at the places he hadn't already been to, before finding Gwen's old room
Little did he know that she was already in there
When he opened the door, Gwen grabbed a replica of his nunchucks and threatened him lol
Because she was confused as to why there was another human in her dad's house
Jay explained that Cliff is his birth dad and he was left at a junkyard blah blah blah
By this point Gwen realised she was related to the Lightning Ninja and she actually squealed
Poor Jay is so confused but Gwen explains that she's Cliff's kid as well, and she's lived with him for most of her life
So they hug and Jay cries bc hes emotional like that
Gwen takes him on a little tour of the house, she doesn't know that Jay's already been here but anyways
They go back to her apartment and she tells him all about her crappy childhood with basically no father
Jay cries some more because he then realises that his sis had to grow up with essentially no family
He offers to take her to visit Ed and Edna, and she agrees
(Yes this is still happening between DotD and Possesion)
The Walkers feel so bad and basically become her second parents
She still lives in her apartment, but she would come over to visit them a lot during the events of DotD and HoT
So after Wu gets lost in the time stream, Jay and Cole go looking for him
But before Jay leaves, Gwen gets to meet each of the ninja first because her bro wanted to flex that he's got a little sister
Even though she keeps telling him they're only like 14 months apart
When she was introduced to Cole she nearly had a heart attack
She has the BIGGEST crush on this guy
Once he left she wouldn't shut up about him and that really pissed Jay off
She met Nya last, and Jay at first introduced her as one of his friends
Jay left the room they were all in for like 5 minutes and thats when Nya explained that her and Jay were actually dating
Gwen didn't mind but then after that they became besties hehe
Gwen and Jay stay in touch while he's away looking for Wu, and she's the first person he visited when he got back
During that time she had become a Mechanic like Ed
They played video-games for like 3 hours straight
At the beginning of Hunted, Gwen joins the resistance as a mechanic
But she was kinda bitter about the whole thing because at first she thought her bro had been squashed like a bug by Garmadon
He was ok but still after that she just stopped admiring the fact that he was a ninja
She hated the idea of her only birth family left being in constant danger
Ed and Edna tried talking to her but she always refused to visit the monastery
So whenever they wanted to meet up it had to be somewhere in Ninjago City or at the junkyard
Nya texted her when Jay got sucked into Prime Empire, having a literal meltdown
Then the rest of the Ninja (minus Zane) get sucked in
Gwendolyn was pretty pissed off and she stormed right up to the monastery, yelling at Master Wu, who had no idea what the hell was going on
But then Zane explained she was Jay's little sis and she got even more pissed off when he said "little"
She basically cussed him out for letting him get into all this trouble and him being in danger all the time
After Gwen calmed down Wu explained how it was completely Jay's choice but this girl didn't give a shit
She ended up helping them out anyways lol
When Jay returned she gave him a big hug and he got all teary-eyed bc he missed her sm 🥰
Just before the Ninja got the letter about Shintaro, Gwen tried to ask Cole out on a date with Kai and Jay's flirting advice
The silly guy didn't take the hint and she was friendzoned
She considered herself pretty good-looking and approachable, and was severely humbled by this
Jay didn't stop laughing about it until Nya told him to stfu
By the end of crystalized, Gwendolyn is the same age as Jay!
Time for more facts hehe
Gwen has brown hair, but she dyes it blonde
Because of this most of the time no one would think that she and Jay were siblings, but if you look closely, you van definitely tell, mostly because of their freckles
Nya and Gwen both do impressions of Jay whenever he's around as a joke
Nya also told her about the events of Skybound, and she's the only other person who knows about those events
Gwen hasn't got any elemental powers, however she, like Jay, is immune to electrocution (meaning it can't kill them, but it can hurt them)
She she has a lightning ninja-themed hoodie that she wears almost everywhere
Whenever the ninja want to have parties (that aren't under Wu's watch) they always go to Gwen's apartment
This basically means whenever they want to have alcohol at a party they always go somewhere else bc Wu's banned alcohol from the monastery 😭
Whenever Cole talks to her she goes really pink in the face, which Jay always teases her about
If someone ever calls her by her full name, her left eye will start to twitch out of irritation
Ed and Edna bought Gwen this blue teddy bear plushie for her birthday, and from then on she never went to sleep without it
She decided to name the plushie "Jaya" after Nya and Jay 🥰
That's everything!! This one was kinda long heh, also sorry if you find any typos in this-
Lloyd is next, prepare for a tragic ending lol

Have I ever mentioned my oc? Yes, yes I have
Ladies and gentfishes, this is my mk oc named Kris Castillo. (Not to be confused with Johnny’s ex-wife Cris)
If you read that one Smoke fanfic: It Should Be Me!, you would know I mentioned her
Let me get a fact straight this one is very much a projecting/self insert but what I have inserted into this oc you won’t know
I’ll give you some info about her:
This is her MK1 variant
Abilities: Spiritual Communication with occasional possessions
Age: 25
Height: 5’6
Occupation: Screenwriter
She works with Johnny (tho she hates working with him)
Location: East Coast/ Tristate Area
Never specifies where she lives and no one dares to take a guess
Fighting Style: Kickboxing
I do ship her with someone 🤭. I won’t tell…yet
Fun Fact #1: She has Leporiphobia, the fear of rabbits and bunnies.
Fun Fact #2: She legally owns a rave club. Got it for cheap and built it up. When asked why she got it she replied, “Why the fuck not”
Fun Fact #3: T̴̡̢̛̟̝͎͖̞̙͕̦̗̹̹͔̞̩̯͇̻̖͓̭̻̱̜̲̻̮̜̝̤͓̻̰͇̼͉̣̜͔̘̭̃̂̽́́̋́̓̓́͌̒͂̔̋͆͒̆̐̾̾̉͗̕͝͝͝h̴̡̨̡̡̧̨̛̯̭̭̬͇͔̫̠͉̬̜̫͖̯̮̟͈̜̳͎̮̯͒̀̒̋̆͗̍͂͑̔͑̎͐̊̐͒̓̔̽̀̏̒̅̐͆̄̉͒̌̕͘͜͠͝͠ͅͅę̷̛͙̹͉̳̙͖̯̘̗̫̱̻̲̯̣͓̘̫̖̗͉͇͓̠͕̬͑̈̒̀͂̎̎̐͒̀͛̇̎̐͆̈̐̾̑͗̿̉͑̕͘ͅͅ ̸̢̨̨͓̦͚̩͇̰̝̣̦̥͚̮͈̣̬̺͇̱͉̬̹͕̖̥̂̽́̋͑̑̑͑̿̈́͑̃̔͜͜͠͝ͅv̴̨̨̧̛̛̜͕͈̘̞͔͚̰̼̬̻̲̗̭̰̺͕̥̯̦̘̓̀̄̋̽́̀͂̃̐̒͌͂̑͋̎̎̑̍͗̽́̾̀̏́̕͘͘͜͝͠ȩ̵̢̢̧̢̧̢̗͖͓̳̭̙̰͍̻̯̪̣̪̘̦̜̠̯͕͎͈͖̘̮̞̗̠̘̭͚̾͜ͅs̵̢̢̧̡̱͔͙̺̥̝̮̹͍̝̙͕͉̫͎̦͚͚̪̳̭̜͚̫̜͇̋̾̏̓̇̄̋̓̀̉͌̌̄͒̉̈́͛̅̓̈́͆̂̿̎̓͋̃̾́̚̚̕͜͠͝͝͝͝͝͝͝ͅs̸̢̛̗͈̪̮̣̮̗̯͕̙̜͖̗̯̖̫̱͕̭̹̈́̾̾͗̿͑͊̾̇̏̆̂͆̒̃̀̏̎̾́̂̋̅̏̈́̄͐̐͂̐́̽̎͒̾̚͝͠ę̸̢̝̟̝̘̯͚̠͈̫̙͎̖̻̟̭̫̯̳͓͇̯̺̣͍̥̦̣͎̯̞̯̭̎̋̿̈́̄͛͊̅̈͐͛̿̓̃̇͂͊̾̌̀̌̽̅͐̐̑̊͋͗̀̏̈́̌̾̎͒̽́̐̕͝͝͠͝͝l̸̢̛̙͈͇̣̖̠͇͈̩̣̗̬̙̞̲̫͖̳̮͕̞̳̟̱͚̐̾̑́͊̅̋̽̾̓̔͋͊̌̈́̀͌͊̇͛̇̍̏͘͘͜͠ͅ ̶̢̧̨̧̞̫̝͉͕͖̣̤͕͓̺̻͈̹̬̹̜̤͓͈̱͈̳̲̻̇̀̅̎́̌̒̎͛͆̈͂̚͜͜͝ͅͅw̶̧̨̛̞̗͍̮̗͚̜̬̟̤̗̲̺̤̦̝̖̭̭̙̩͎͊̌͂̉͑̀̌́̊̓̈́͒̓͝͠ͅǫ̷̨̨̡̡̪̞̼̤͇̞͉̮͕͍̹̫̭̮̯̦̣̟̞̹̣̜͔̦̫͓̲̦̜͖̳͇̬̪̱̼͇̻̹̫͍͉͑̐̔̀̀̂͠ͅͅn̸̛̛̻̦̦̥̞͔̟͎͉̭͆̊̓̽̋͐̅͛͂̒̉̓͆̓͋̎̀͑̾͌͆͑̇͛̆͌͘̚̕̚̚̚͜͠’̵̧̧̲͔̰̲̪̙̗͓̻̱̲̩̙̟͇̙̠̙̘̰̦̗̗͍̫̏̐͗̈́̑͋̾̈́̿́̍̌͑̄̅̆̈́́̅͐̑͗̂͗̈̄̓͆̐͘̚̕͝͝͝ͅt̴̡̢̨͎̮͈̲̝̺̞͍͈̯̩͍͔̖̹̳̹̼̘͍͑͊͑̈́̌͒͂͑͗̈́̉̒͋̓͗͊͛̚ͅͅ ̶̛͇̱̳͚͓̦̗̭̹̭̗̟̫̗̟̪̟͍̹̲̖̤̪̝̲̗͖͚̱͓̲͖̭͇͇̺̺̝̄͆̑͊̑̉͋͌̀̿̎̈̾̇̓̈̾͗͌̾̃̓͗̽̏̕̕͘͜͝͠͠ͅͅl̷̻͉͔̖̹͉̝̦͕͓̝̈̈́̎̓̀i̶̛͓͇̯̎̋̿͊́̐̌̐́̊́͐̽͒̈́̇͋̽̑̆̍̌͊̈́͋̎̔̎̌̌̆̾̕͝͝͝s̵̨̡̢̡̢̡̛͎̺̱̟̦͖̖͔̥̺̜̗̞̣͇̞͍̜̤̫͉̞̝̘̖͍̺̺̥̣̳̹̜͎̭̥̫̰̬͈̻̾̒̐̄̔̿̃͐͒̔̅̂̄̈́̐̈̇̒͆͑̉̾͋̀͗̈́̏̊̊̎͐̌̕͘͝͠͝͠͝ṭ̵̡̛̭̦͖̻͇̰͍̠͖̬̝̘͕̘͍̪̯̩͓̤͇̺̻̬̫͙͎̬͍͇̝̱͍͖̽̀̋̑̆̏̊͂̂̆̆̄̐͘͜͝ͅȇ̶̢̧̨̖͖̹̪͔̥̮̺̯̙̗̣̲̳̙̠̦̟̳̣̙̖̙͙͙̱̬̲̳̱̪̟̘͍̟̘͇̯̞͕̉͒͂̐͒̇̐͋͛̄̒̇̎̚͜͜ͅn̸̨̨̛͚̟͇̬̗̦͎̖̯̘̤̜̼̓̀͂̊́̽̅̆͑͂̅̆̈́̔͆́́̃͒͑̿̇̅̈́̂́̈́̾̕̚̚͜͜͝͠͝͝͝ ̶̢̧̡̡̨̢̨̛̛̛̛̻̞͚̹̰̹͉̻̺̮͉̳͍͔̻̪̫͉͙̝̼̳̯̮͑̄̓̏̈́̽͐͐͗́́̄̈̌̐̌̓̄͆́̌̔̃̾͂͂̾̋̏̊͑̓̽͆̋̈̈̋͘̚͝͝͠͝͝ͅͅẗ̸̜̞̹́̀̽͐̓͗o̸̧̨͖͓̝̩̣̘̜̮͇̝̝̥̮̱̜̱͓̯͔̯͔̖͋͒̒̓͛́̎͋̈́̒̂͑͆̌̒̋̄̈͌̂̽̉͒̓̑́̾̏͋̕̕̚͜͝͝ͅ ̴̛̛̱̝̘͓͙͍̹̜̟̖̯̲̱̹̥͎͖̞̦͈̺͖̫̫̩̥̟̩͔̤͈̾͂̄͛͊̅́̆̍̔̓̽̉̎͂̈̉͌̒̀͊͊̌͆̀͑̾̌̚̚̚͜͜͠u̶̠̹̥̣̭̠̱̜̲̬̲̦̤̗͇̦̳̽̎̅͛̎̈́̈́͌̈́̀̂̈̌̚͠͠͠ͅş̸̡̲̻͉̯͖̲͎͛͊̄̃̏̊̇̀̋̍̈͒̓͆͘
Something to note about my oc is that there aren’t many variants that involve her. Meaning she is not involved with the main characters most of the time in other timelines. There are many timelines where she dies young, never gains her abilities, or when she does she chooses to live a normal life. When Liu Kang firsts met Kris he was shocked because he never planned for her to be involved but after Johnny made a rash decision she learned about everything.
Who’s this oc’s enemy?
It’s…BI-Han!!
Did you guess right?
Let me hit you with their first interaction:
Stood before her was a strange looking man. A man with a cold aura and unusual clothes in her eyes. Kris has never seen a man like this before. There clothes were foreign to her. He was foreign to her. She had little time to think of that. She was more concerned that this man had his hands wrapped around Johnny’s neck. Johnny was struggling to make him let go as everyone was staring at them.
Kris was told to stay hidden behind the table, away from the possible danger. The only danger that she could see was that her rent would not be paid this month.
If Johnny dies she is fucked. If the movie ain’t finished then she won’t be paid for all her hard work. All those hours fixing the screenplay, fixing Johnny’s errors, and dealing with Johnny in general, she couldn’t bear the idea that it was all for nothing. She needed that money. Johnny needed to live so she can live in this economy.
“Don’t do it.” “We know what you are thinking.” “You can always find another job.” “You need to leave.”
The voices of her family on the other side whispered to her in an effort to stop her from making a huge mistake. But they’re not the ones who have to pay rent. Rent is never due in heaven.
“Put my moneymaker down!” Kris’ voice rang out.
Before Bi-Han knew who it was that just yelled at him he felt someone leap onto his back. An arm wrapped itself around his neck. He let go off Johnny and immediately grabbed the arm that was trying to choke him. Everyone stared in shock, horror, and even awe at the spectacle before them. This strange woman that they only just met was attacking Bi-Han viciously.
Kris was holding on like she was at a rodeo. She kept her arm locked around Bi-Han’s neck as her other hand went to yank at his hair. Her heels dug into his sides, causing this already annoying situation to become increasingly uncomfortable. Even when Bi-Han tried banging her against the well she wouldn’t loosen up. She actually tightened her grip on him. At this point, Bi-Han would rather fight an anaconda instead of her.
The last straw when he felt her teeth snap down on his ear. She was playing dirty. This had turned into a street fight instead of a formal one. Bi-Han grabbed onto her arm tightly and threw her off. Kris’ body slammed onto ground with a hard thud. Bi-Han was disheveled. There were strands of his hair that were falling off. His bun was so loose it could unravel at any second. At least the tip of his ear was still there, though with some of the cartilage being pierced or cut from her teeth.
“Get up now!” The spirit of her mother called to her.
Kris picked herself up and dusted herself while staring at Bi-Han. She looked at him with this feral expression in her eyes. A desire to make him leave already. This night has been too wild for her and she wants an end to it.
“You insufferable wench! You have no idea what you are getting yourself into!” Bi-Han barked at her, “I am the Lin Kuei’s grandmaster, I should not be beat by-“
“Bitch, I don’t give a fuck! You don’t pay my rent! Do you understand how desperate I am for money? Huh?” Kris was not listening to a word he was saying.
Bi-Han groaned as he stomped towards her. He forms a blade made of ice in his hands while moving towards her.
“The knives! The knives! Use them now!” The spirit of one of her aunts called to her.
In her boot she pulled out a blade. A blade with a decorated handle and a black blade. It looked custom made. She pulled a similar one out from her other boot. If Bi-Han wanted a fight, fine, he can get one.
He may think this will be an easy will. But his eyes can’t see what she see. She has many on her side, he has none.
Fight!
And that’s all you get for now adiós!!!

(Who’s this guy?)
Kerry went to sleep in his apartment the night before, and woke up in the blinding light of a window that probably cost more then his whole building combined. What the fuck?
He looked around more, silk sheets and a penthouse that cost more than what he made his whole last tour. Oh fuck, what did he get himself into this time? He could smell breakfast being cooked and the shower running in the bathroom right next to him.
He kicked the blankets off, naked, but that was nothing new. He always slept naked. But the weird thing was the new tattoo over his heart and his finished sleeves. When the fuck had he gotten that done? He also noted the expensive and flashy chrome running down his chest and stomach like a goddamn landing pad for his dick.
He looked around for clothes, something that seemed like what he would wear. He did find pants that reminded him of Johnny, and he paused. Johnny had died a year ago today. Maybe he shouldn’t put these on, Nancy would be-
“Hey V, have you seen my- mornin’- have you seen my jacket?” What?
Johnny Silverhand had just walked past him like it was nothing, even acknowledged him with a kiss on the cheek and calling for someone named ‘V’. He heard a distant voice from down stairs, but he didn’t hear the reply, watching Johnny get ready.
“You gonna wear those or can I- Are you okay?” Johnny turned completely, in just a towel, staring at Kerry with a concern he had never seen so plainly on his face. “Ker? You’re pale, do I need to get Vax?”
Who the fuck was Vax? What the fuck was going on? How was Johnny here? Where even was he?
He saw Johnny call for someone, presumably the person downstairs, before helping Kerry sit back on the bed.
“Ker? Kerry? Baby, can you hear me?” Some guy he didn’t know was crouched in front of him, holding his hands, rubbing his arms, acting as if they had known each other for years. He was drop dead gorgeous yes, had nice shoulders. Probably this ‘Vax’ guy Johnny had said.
“What year is it?” Kerry asked plainly, making V and Johnny look up at him in concern. The ‘V’ guy checked his forehead for a fever, fear lacing his features.
“It’s 2082, Ker. What happened? Are you okay?”
Okay this guy kept touching him and acting all sweet with him was plain weird.
He may as well have slapped the guy when he pulled his hands away with the reality of him being 55 years in the future.
“What year do you think it is?” Johnny asked, sitting next to him once he was dressed. Kerry still couldn’t believe what he was seeing, Johnny alive and well, and looking better than the last time he saw him. Some gray hairs and new piercings, two rings on his right ring finger. He took a moment to realize he and V had a wedding band on both their left and right ring fingers. Were they married? What the fuck was going on.
“I went to sleep in 2024. What the fuck is going on? Who the fuck is this guy? How are you even alive? And do I seriously make it to fucking 94 years old?” Kerry’s voice sounded alien in his own ears, making him shutter. Everything was different and weird and it was really fucking him up.
“Fuck.” Johnny and V said in unison.
They three moved downstairs once Kerry was dressed, the place he supposedly lived was nicer than any place he had stayed. He noticed pictures rested on the TV stand as he sat down, Johnny going with V so they could talk. They naturally stood so close to each other, moving as if they were one person. It was creepy and Kerry hated it.
The pictures were of children he didn’t remember having, but looked so like him it was impossible to say they weren’t his. A wedding with the man in the kitchen who looked like he was two seconds from losing his fucking mind. That wasn’t good. That handsome piece of ass was his husband? And he didn’t even remember? How could he, it hadn’t happened for him yet.
This had to be some drunken nightmare, for all parties involved because he’s never seen Johnny so distressed before, even after Alt had died. Oh god, was she alive too?
V came back with a cup of coffee for him, made just how he liked it, and sat next to him. Kerry’s body reacted too him in ways he wasn’t sure how to feel. He wanted to lean in, smell the body wash and shampoo he had probably used that morning, have the man tucked into his side while woke up for the day. All thoughts he used to have about Johnny.
‘V’ rubbed his eyes, sitting forward. He was clearly trying to get his thoughts together and honestly, Kerry felt bad. He was technically this man’s husband. He wondered how long they had been married, if those kids were theirs. How old was this dude anyway?
“Okay, did you take anything yesterday? Or eat anything weird?” His hand went to rest on his knee, but was brought back. When he remembered. Kerry’s heart tugged.
“Don’t think so. Took my normal, drank ‘til I passed out.” His voice was kinda sexy now if he did say so himself. “It’s someone’s death date.” He shot a glare at Johnny.
“Right. That’s gonna be fun explaining.” V mumbled, rubbing his eyes. Part of him wondered if there was more than just cream and sugar in his coffee right now. “Guess I should introduce myself first. I’m Vax, I’m your husband, we’ve been married for three years, been married to Johnny for about six months now-“
“Thought you didn’t wanna marry me.”
“Let him finish.” Johnny seemed oddly protective of this V character. Or just avoidant of the accusation.
“You’re Kerry Eurodyne, you’re 94 as you said-“
“How old are you?”
V paused, then Johnny chuckled, covering his face for a moment. “Yeah V, how old are you?”
V’s face heated up. “I’m 33.”
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!
Oh. He became one of those celebrities, got it. Though, he didn’t look half bad for 94, he and V didn’t look that far apart as far as appearances went. He didn’t know if that was an insult to V or a compliment to himself.
“Can I continue? You’re getting way too much enjoyment out of that.” V accused Johnny.
“Yeah because he used to be the guy sleeping with older men and now he is the older man!” Johnny laughed again, louder and brighter than Kerry had ever heard out of him.
“Yeah, just remember you’re technically 94 as well, so watch it.” Technically? What did that mean? Kerry wasn’t sure he wanted to know.
The next hour was getting Kerry up to speed on everything, apparently he had an ex wife and two kids. V, or Vax as Kerry apparently calls him, was his husband, Johnny and Vax had some weird mind fuck thing that Kerry did not understand. And V and Kerry were currently looking into having children as well apparently. He felt like he was a bit old to be doing all that, but this guy looked so worried he may vomit so Kerry shut his mouth and listened.
“Think there’s a chance our Ker is in 2024?” Johnny asked, making V cover his face.
“I hope not… that’s gonna fuck him up.” He got up to get more coffee, while Kerry sat there, unsure of what to do or say to comfort the man at this point. He didn’t know V, despite their husband status. He didn’t know this house, he barely knew this new version of Johnny that looked fucking fantastic and so unapologetically worried about him.
“What the fuck do we even do? How does this just… happen?” V came back, once again sitting way too close. Looks like Kerry’s lack of personal space was still in tack.
“I don’t fuckin’ know! He accidentally time traveled, god knows where our Kerry is.” For the first time, Kerry realized Johnny was stolen cold sober.
V slumped against the back of the couch, rubbing his forehead. “Fuck me…”
This was going to be a very long day.
