Bloodsuckers From Outer Space is a zombie spoof that’s not very funny, made for what looks like 400 dollars. Not the worst low budget horror to come out of Texas by a damn sight. One of those movies where the alien gas turning people into alien hive mind maneaters isn’t even a fog machine, it’s a desk fan.

A portrait of beloved professor Elias Scrimshaw. Elias is one of the stranger creatures from the species exchange program. An intelligent parasitic entity that can live in and manipulate a host's body for hundreds of years. Elias's species keep active only the bodily systems that are most needed, such as those involved in locomotion and eating. The unessential parts of the body are consumed, often Reducing the host species to what is essentially an animated husk which is kept preserved with a special cocktail of antibacterial fluids produced in Elias's strange asymmetric body. His preferred field of study deals with the biomechanics and life cycles of extraterrestrial parasites. His unique perspective and insight has offered great leaps in interstellar medicine by helping provide treatments for rare and often deadly parasitic infections. Not wanting to offend his host planet he took over the form of a stray cat which he assumed to be a local source of food before realizing it was in fact a common household pet. He has since expressed his deepest apologies for this mix up and has advised cat lovers to perhaps reconsider taking his class.

Alternative ending:

As the one minute runs out Tampa screams. Mackenzie exclaims “Ah man! It would have been so cool if you were the one who survived.”.

Pan out to the bonus room, the girls are all huddled around an incomplete Janga tower, Knife is just laying next to Tabitha unamused and just glad that the girls are done treating her like a toy for now.

The girls had simply just been playing Dread the entire time. Mackenzie’s dad and brother’s come home and try and talk to the girls. Mackenzie just just gives them a half-assed wave and basically ignoring them.

“Let’s do another one!” Tabitha exclaims in excitement. “What should the story be?” Mackenzie asks. “Zombies,” Mary suggests, “With worms.” she adds. Tampa cringes, “That sounds gross.” she comments.

“Let’s do it!” Tabitha says.

i love sword af i really do and i wish they could return to it sometime but its just. SO clear that the dread format and george’s dm-ing fit smosh so well. the smosh vs. campaigns can be at almost any length meaning: 1.) they can realistically shoot a whole ‘campaign’ in one day and 2.) there’s no ‘need’ for a lot of lore so it wouldn’t be hard for both the audience And the players to catch up.

the cast can focus more on what the character will Do (which amanda is a Great example of but maybe i’ll make a separate post for that) and about pulling a block from a jenga tower instead of worrying about skill checks and rolling badly. its either you pull a block successfully, fail, or fail On Purpose. even the smaller moments are heightened in a certain way because it could mean the most ridiculous/mundane action could result in a character’s death OR what could Possibly happen to them when they Choose to fail.

the ‘smosh vs.’ format is so versatile too because it can literally be about anything. like we JUST had smosh vs. christmas. my only criticism of it is that i hope they can spread the mini-campaigns out evenly for the next year but its just because almost every mini-campaign and the characters in it have been so memorable already that i want them to develop their own fandoms and not immediately fizzle out. i also want to see what a 5-6 player campaign would look like!
