mitzi's pearl necklace as a microcosm for this whole mess....

it's a symbol of her life with Atlas and her relationship with him -- she sees it as a way that Atlas made her a 'a lady', made her feel like she wasn't 'tawdry' (note how easily she slips into reminiscing about the memories linked to it, even to Zib, who knows the story). Atlas probably purchased it with blood money. Once the necklace snaps, it's basically impossible to put it back together without covering yourself in gutter dirt, but she can't bring herself to let go. She eventually gets the physical symbol of the memories back(rethreading the necklace), but it's a hollow victory. It won't bring back Atlas, and it comes at the cost of collateral damage (rip virgil) and alienating Zib.

Mitzi, you can't go back! you can fight and scratch and claw but you can never go back! What you are searching for is not something that can be put back together. girl, you are looking back, and you are getting lost.

I also have to say, the episode flashback also highlights an issue of the narrative.

....I.M.P. is killing in Hell/doing jobs BEFORE the Grimoire. The flashbacks clearly showing this.....so why couldn't the show just have been that? This Season really did make the Grimoire irrelevant.

Yeah the Grimoire worked when the show was just some whacky hijinks go kill people up top, but then S2 rolls around and....it just stops being that. So the whole deal between Blitz and Stolas is made pointless from S1.

You can literally remove Stolas entirely from the show and have it be the same, focusing on the actual I.M.P. members, because they are suppose to be the main characters. You'd also expand upon Hell this way a lot more, considering Hazbin is confided to one location.

The original premise of helluva felt unique and could lead to some funny shenanigans considering that the characters are hellborns and earth would be alien to them ( like invader zim) But now the show barely takes advantage of demons doing hits on the living, most episodes have been mainly in hell with the jobs being more of a background thing. So yeah the imps doing hits in hell makes way mores sense. (And besides hell is basically earth with red paint so that takes away from the potential uniqueness of the living world)

Your completely right when it comes to the uselessness of stolas, I’ve been thinking up rewrites and the more I think about the less it makes sense to even have the stolas and his family play a role in the show. Helluva should have just been about hellborn assassins going on crazy adventures not a toxic romance with a divorce subplot 😭

Also billize sounds cute! Sounds southern (I’m not too good with names tho my first thought for a ship name was Mitzi lol)

quick shitty doodles of Marty. I decided to explain his existence as an alien by putting him in the moonrockers so here he is in a Similar Fit. there are sparkly silver combat boots under thar. Also Dook LaRue <3 <3 <3 Make no mistake, I draw them snuggling and shit but irl their dynamic is NOT CUTE Marty is super obsessed with him but hes too starstruck by the rock afire to spark actual conversations with any of the members so he just goes to showbiz and wipes out their prize counter with the amount of tickets he accumulates and sits in the front row so he can stare at center stage. He is the first and only Rolfe fan but will acknowledge that Earl is the cool one in the duo. He knows ALL the words to the rae's shows and buys their records and is generally a freak. Dook is kind of offput by the visible crush he has on him but Mitzi and Billy Bob think its cute and Beach Bear loves to bully him (Dook) about it

Okay, so Selina the earth fairy as an antagonist

S6 did this by, for some insane reason, by making Selina Bloom's childhood friend who's always had magic which doesn't work on literally every level. So I'm going to try and come up with some ideas that make parts of it work

Selina the earth fairy that was taught by Eldora:

Tbh this is the easiest option

Selina is an earth fairy from the old days along with Eldora. During the WotBC attempted wiping out of all magic users they fled to Tir Na Nog and live under Morgana and Nebula

The Legendarum is a book created by ancient Faries that Selina's family has been in charge of caring for for generations

When the fairies of vengeance are released Selina is soooo excited to help kill the Wizards and the Winx, and their leader Bloom take their revenge away from them by complaining that they shouldn't be allowed to kill the people that tried to WIPE THEM OUT

Selina is pissed, and her teacher Eldora, the woman that saved her life, going on about how forgiveness is the way isn't helping

Season 5 teaches her about the rest of the magical dimension, season 5 teaches her about the Trix

The Trix are blinded by their desire for revenge and make the perfect pawns. They don't care what they lose as long as the winx don't win

And Selina assures them, the Winx will not win

Selina the earth fairy that was Bloom's friend:

This one is a very elegant solution me thinks and it's the FUN one.

Selina and Bloom are childhood friends and the main targets for Mitzi's bullying. Bloom has kind parents, Selina does not, and for eight hours a day they have to listen to people talk badly about them. Mitzi never puts hands on them but they're social pariah's and deal with constant verbal harassment and false accusations

First year of highschool is more of the same and Selina is prepared for it to be them against the world again in their second year, and then Bloom never comes to class

Selina is alone to deal with the bullying she at least had a confidant in Bloom to at least tolerate it with, and now she's alone

Mitzi tells everyone that Bloom was sent to a school that caters to the mentally ill to finally convince the 16 year old that fairies aren't real, and Selina makes things worse for herself by defending Bloom

They text each other, not often and Bloom won't tell her what new school she's going to but they still text. Selina comes over when Bloom goes back to earth (and goes home before the Trix show up)

And then the next year Bloom goes to Mitzi's Halloween party with her new, cool, pretty, friends. Bloom excitedly tells her about it, she's finally going to make Mitzi the butt of the joke and all Selina can think is that she's been replaced

That's not fair though? Bloom is allowed to be happy at her new school so she bites her tongue and pushes down her resentment and rejects Bloom's offer to come with

Next year is...fine. Bloom comes to her graduation party, and she's a bit mopey that she didn't graduate with honors like her new friends but is over all more excited to hear about Selina's college plans. Bloom goes on a trip in the middle of summer and comes back glowing because "the mistake in my grades was fixed and now I have honors!" And it sounds like a lie but Selina doesn't bother calling her out on it. I mean? What if she's telling the truth

Then season 4 happens, and then it's revealed that Bloom is a fairy

Not only did Bloom replace her with better, prettier friends, but she also lied to Selina about being a fairy. Lied to her face about everything related to magic because apparently Bloom never trusted her

And Selina burns with resentment

Selina stops responding to Bloom's texts and avoids her. Everyone asks Selina if she knew, if Bloom told her, who those aliens are, and all Selina has is half truths from the stories Bloom spun her to respond with

Seeing Mitzi become a fairy, unaware of the dead magic that run though her, unaware that the power Mitzi was given comes with a price no one should have to pay, Selina is furious. Incandescent

Magic returned to earth and Selina can float small objects. She's one of the few people that after the earth's magic core was repaired gained magic and she's on the bottom of the scale of power in a group categorized by how they're not as strong as those who can use magic without the core

Hatred fills her lungs like smoke

Season 5 Selina sticks to herself. Bloom usually isn't on earth like she was last year and this Diaspro chick who came from a different planet to help earth get caught up with the rest of the dimension is on the TV all the time talking about Bloom. Selina hates the fact that this woman who met Bloom though a knock-down drag-out fight knows Bloom better than Selina ever did

Did Bloom ever think of her as a real friend?

(Bloom couldn't take the one person that was her friend though all of that calling her a liar, she comes to regret this)

Eventually, while stumbling around the woods, far away from faces that could mock and lie to her she stumbles across a book. The Legendarum. It promises her power, Bloom's regret, importance. All she has to do is open it, anyone with magic can, her strength doesn't matter with the Legendarum doing the work for her

How could she ever refuse?

Finally decided to post about my oc’s! I’ve got this whole story planned out, and eventually I’d like to make it into something (comic or storyboards maybe??)

But for now I’ll just show the main characters!

The humans name is Piper, and she’s a weird girl obsessed with aliens

The little green things name is Mitzy, and she’s an alien obsessed with humans

The plot of this thing is way more in depth, and I’m just scratching the surface, but I think I’m in a place where I’ve developed it enough to start sharing the story!

This is just part of a long pile of ocs that I have, but in the long run made a lot of progress :3 I intend to redraw a lot of them and potentially redraw more! I am open to CONTRSUCTIVE criticism and advice on how to improve these dumbasses

It got deleted when I tried to answer the ask so here's my rant about chuck e cheese again

I don't know how to tell people the "lore" of things without specific questions so I'm gonna try to section a few rants about some of my favorite things relating to it

First specifically Helen Henny, she's my favorite character. This is my favorite animatronic of her and probably my favorite inside and outside of chuck e cheese in general

I just like it a lot, a close second for my favorite of her is probably her portrait animatronic, I think she out of any characters was reimagined the most, being one of the ones to be aged down significantly in the 1990s because they didn't want to abandon how relatable and loveable Mitzi was to young girls. despite that there actually aren't that many different plushie designs you'll find of her being sold(although there's still plenty), it's mostly the 2014 design with little alteration compared to chuck and such.

I have a plush of her, which is my favorite one of her and I was so happy when I got it

This is her and my chuck e plushie, I love them both especially because they both have silly guitars

Jasper and munch are best friends canonically and have a really funny dynamic but it depends on from where

Jasper has the best walk around out of any of them I think, all of his are incredibly accurate to himself

Heres that picture of Jasper and munch's very first walk arounds, I think munch's got replaced in like a year

I like all of Jasper's animatronics but the portrait has to be my favorite, I'm mostly biased because I like his banjo more than the cheese guitar, it just makes more sense to me (all animatronic bands have to have one country singer)

Mr munch is an alien from a planet made of pizza and when I wrote this the first time I took a break to re read the comic that was revealed in, which is hilarious btw I love that comic

(I might make a whole post about some of the comics if anyone wants me to I oveE them so much)

Pasqually's pretty cool but I think his current design is incredibly boring, he was already a pretty obvious stereotype but there's nothing wrong with his character or his older designs

He didn't originally have an instrument, opposite to Helen who originally had a ukulele (acoustic guitar? Can't remember) he had that silly pizza thing on his hand (I love his portrait so much)

In his prototype he didn't have drums he had a little table with pizza dough and bowls and rolling pins etc and I think it would've been really cool if he just pretended to make pizza while singing, I like the idea. (Not to say I don't like him with drums)

Would definitely be my favorite animatronic if it was ever real

He's played by a real person in the movie despite having a walk around costume which is an obvious choice for obvious reasons but I just love the detail, his actors great too

My favorite chuck animatronic, if not the plastic one is probably most studio c animatronics, especially this one

He's a popular choice and this guy specifically I think was just for this awards show, but I love him

My favorite era with chuck is probably tux if not avenger, I like most versions of him. I went as avenger chuck for Halloween last year, it was really fun I liked my costume, A lot of little kids shouted at me which was fun, one adult woman laughed at me

I do like most eras for him, ptt chuck had a good personality, I favor tux & avengers designs, and I'm not voicing my opinion about rockstar chuck because everyone is very open about their opinions and I wouldn't like to be repetitive.

All of his walk arounds are great btw if I didn't mention, my favorite is this articulated one they used for commercials

(I love this commercial, I love chuck e cheese commercials they're so entertaining)

Anyway There's not a lot to say about him that's not common knowledge

I don't know a lot about Bella, but I really do like her

I don't have alot to say but I thought it'd be awful not to include her since I talked about the rest of the main cast

I didn't really know what to talk about so these are all just random things, I have other entire posts I thought of while writing this and I might just start posting about this stuff

I wanted to talk about the comics and the walk around characters and the merchandise and the movie and the other characters who aren't a part of the current band and the games and the commercials and the puppets and the other animatronics, I have a lot to say

the fabelmans is a fictionalised version of steven spielberg's childhood and adolescence. it follows spielberg's self insert sammy fabelman (played by gabriel labelle) as he discovers his passion for filmmaking and begins to use it to cope with his control issues and anxiety. his father, burt (paul dano), is a computer scientist who discourages sammy's filmmaking, calling it a "hobby". he's a scientist, unfailingly logical and reasonable, and just doesn't understand the whole "artist" thing. he's also exceedingly kind and sweet, which makes him a bit of a pushover (people on tumblr write the absolute nastiest smut about him it takes up the whole tag). sammy's mother, mitzi (michelle williams), was a pianist who gave up any hope of being a professional musician when she got married and had kids. she's dreamy, flaky, and youthful (spielberg described his mother as a "peter pan" type - she never grew up), and while she loves burt and the kids she's implied to be both deeply unhappy and mentally ill (she's impulsive, she has periods where she can't get out of bed, and she's explicitly stated to suffer from panic attacks). sammy takes after his mother in basically every way - they're both artistic and ambitious and have panic attacks. throughout the film, burt and mitzi's marriage starts to fall apart and they eventually divorce as sammy watches and films it. there are also school subplots where sammy deals with anti-semitism, his first girlfriend, and a somewhat homoerotic relationship with a school bully.

the short version: it's about a kid watching his parents fall apart and wanting to shield both himself and his mother from the pain. it's also about how art can become an obsession that eats you alive and alienates you from everyone around you.
