Imagine Shadow accidentally picks up a cursed object (or is cursed), and he's now a Unicorn Pegasus instead of a hedgehog.

And now Rouge and Omega have one very angry horned and winged horsey that they now have to figure out how to turn back before Commander Tower calls them in for another mission.

(And I don't mean a cute one like MLP, I mean ferocious and terrifying and magnificent.)

Honestly, the first thing that comes to mind is Rouge having to talk him down like in those movies where there's one wild horse who doesn't let anyone get near except for the one 'horse whisperer' character. So now we've got Shadouge where Shadow is a wild, extremely dangerous alicorn and Rouge is the horse girl. :D And she's literally the only person he'll listen to, so despite the fact that she's a city girl and had never dealt with horses before, she's suddenly forced into needing to learn how to deal with them.

I'm also imagining Shadow just being so wild and uncontrollable. And jumpy. He trusts literally no one else but her.

Living Harmony AU relevant character sheets/info: Harmony aka the "Tree of Harmony" Stygian Somnambula Starswirl the Bearded Shadow Lock is actually an official canon character from the IDW comics No. 51-53 and I really enjoyed his mini arc introduction enough to include him as a more significant part of my "Living Harmony" MLP AU animation project. When I found out he's a direct descendant of Stygian, one of the Pillars of Equestria, I had to find a way to work him in and give him a bit of an updated design to fit more into my story setting I have planned. My good friend Ori helped vector my finalized concept redesign in the very top image. Listed below is some character and story context for these sketches provided by my myself and Ori who's been a huge help in fleshing out the world building with this cast of characters I'm using in this AU so far. Shadow Lock's main abilities and canon backstory are expanded upon and/or flavored a bit differently here as well.

Stygian’s distant descendant, the last living branch in his family tree

Lives alone in his family’s castle after they retired to the town of Somnambula

Temporary antagonist to the mane 6 that stems from a fear of the Pony of Shadows returning to plague Equestria

Believed he was descended from a monster and desperately tried to erase any mention of the Pony of Shadows from written history

Was talked down from his history erasing spree by Twilight and ends up traveling around Equestria to find more info on the Pony of Shadows, without trying to erase the knowledge this time, and prevent it from returning

The symbol on the front of Shadow Lock’s cloak is his family crest that dates back to Stygian's time period.

There’s a glamor woven into Shadow Lock’s cloak that enshrouds its wearer’s face.

Shadow Lock’s special talent is the concealment and binding of dark magic. He can effectively bind malevolent “spirits” into vessels where they’re unable to cause harm. This can also be reversed as an unbinding spell. ("spirits" in this context are more like a culmination of lingering, concentrated dark magic that takes on a will of its own)

His family castle used to be quite “haunted”. It’s quieter nowadays, but he does have a large collection of miscellaneous items that most ponies would consider “cursed…”

Always carries a healthy stack of books on his person to read and use as a weapon. His spells can pull fictional characters and monsters from stories to fight for him

Created a spell that can trap a creature into experiencing a historical event on loop by using a small amount of written text. The spell can be broken by doing something significant enough that did not occur during the looped event in history.

Shadow Lock and Stygian are extremely hesitant to meet each other at first in present time. The mane 6 and Harmony step in as mediator eventually to help them work out their issues so they can reconnect as family

Much later in the story, Shadow Lock invites Stygian to live in his castle once their family relationship is repaired, the two becoming inseparable

Hi everyone! So sorry for my sudden disappearance, school started up and with work on top of it. I'm taking anatomy this semester and I swear my main "hobby" has become studying for my weekly exams. I got an itch of inspiration with some twi x tempest lovey dovey stuff. I love the idea of tempest being twilights person guard (and wife). This took me almost 7 hours total lol, but it was worth it because I'm very happy with how it turned out. I even drew the background all on my own!! Twilight Sparkle becomes heir to the throne of equestria after Celestia and Luna decide to retire.

Celestia has a mother-daughter relationship with Twilight and gets along with Twilight's parents and basically adopts herself into their family and the dynamics are cute.

As Twilight grows older (and taller) she also gets wiser and isnt stupid anymore, after the movie's events she befriends Tempest Shadow and they fall in love and get married and have a filly

It's been a hot minute since I updated New Normal on anything but my Patreon, but I'm gonna start trying to get these chapters out regularly, and just update them in a serial fashion, rather than trying to write it all and publish it all at once. So yeah, let's do this shit! This first one is a short chpater, really more a second prologue than anything else, but whatever. It's helping me get my butt around how I want to format these, so that's good, too.

We ran. Her legs churned rhythmically, her feet flitting through the underbrush, as she followed her sense of her goal. Our pace was steady, but swift. I marveled at how painless it was, we ran, and ran, but her two legs didn’t complain, her lungs didn’t burn. We just ran, and it was fine. She was aware, though I couldn’t sense them, of the Shadows that chased us, that always, always pursued her. Out of sight or not, she knew they followed, that they would take her, stop her, bring her to their master, if they could. I knew, because she did, that that would be horrible for us…but it would be disastrous for everyone else. Our destination changed, and she veered to follow. I got the impression from her that this was normal. The Well, the thing we were seeking, moved—whether because someone else got too close to it or because it was capricious, even she wasn’t entirely sure. It seemed to be both, the Well wandering both to keep itself, and us, safe…and because it was simply its nature. She kept running. The Shadows were close, now, icy breath touched our neck, and panic welled inside me. She kept calm, kept our pace steady, kept running. She had done this for so long, done this same thing so many times before. She could, we would, outpace them, we just needed to keep running. Not so fast we burnt ourselves out, but not so slow we got caught, either. Our legs churned and our heart pounded, but as long as we kept going, we would be fine. We would get to the Well, and all would be alright. She would jump in, as she had countless times, grip the edge, let the monsters pass, and come out somewhere else, and do it all again. All would be well. He wouldn’t be able to take it, she would keep it safe. She would keep everyone safe.

Finished the twi x tempest wip I posted yesterday!! Also included my reference as promised. I like tempest ( or fizzlepop berrytwist whichever you prefer). I think her edge lord name is silly. Also if tempests legs look funny I was tryna make her more muscle horse but I'm not super good at it yet gimme time.
