One thing that always bugs me when I see stardew bachelor and bachelorette headcanons is when people not only make Abigail younger than Maru but also the youngest overall. While I know that the canon reason Sebastian doesn't hang out with Maru is Demetrius and favoritism shown towards her, I feel like he couldn't exactly tell Maru or his family that. So I'm betting his excuse is that she's too young. My reasoning is that I'm a younger sibling, and this is always the go-to excuse. This is why it makes no sense for Abigail, one of Sebastian's friends, to be younger. I get that "Maru is a nurse" but considering that she's also clearly a prodigy and I highly doubt anyone else in town would be capable of being a nurse, I betting Maru is employed less than legally, because the town is barely holding on to Harvey. Do you really think they would be able to convince an actual nurse to act as a glorified receptionist for a clinic that's barely open in the middle of nowhere?

Anyway here are the real ages of the bachelor/ettes according to my completely correct assumptions

Maru: 18-19 she's just a super genius

Sam, Sebastian, Abigail, Alex, and Haley: 20-21 they all went to high school together and you can't tell me otherwise

Hey y'all, Hymn here <33 Today I'll present you my art of Herobrine and some of my headcanons for this scrunkly ♡♡

His name is Herobrine Tempest in my AU.. Loved ones usually call him Hero for short.

He's one of the three rulers under the Emperor. His rank is a king! (The Emperor and the rulers of the three kingdoms aren't related by blood!)

He's 28 years old. His birthday is on 31st August.

His pronouns are he/him/his, he's bisexual.. He loves men and women equally..

He's 6'5 or 196 cm tall. He weighs 104 kg or 230 lbs

He's also very muscular. He's more on the buff side..

His hair is short, brown colored and fluffy!

He's kind, sweet, charming and charismatic. He can also be mischievous at times. But he could be terrifying when serious.

Herobrine has a knack for coming with the most obscure yet most accurate and funniest insults when it comes to dissing someone..

He and Steve are the same person. Steve is a disguise created by Herobrine to interact with the people of his kingdom without any hassle.

He's not a human. He's a Lightbringer, a humanoid species superior to humans and on equal levels with the Shadowcasters (Notable members of the Shadowcasters are Entity and Null.) Lightbringers specialize in magic channeled from the realm of light..

He loves sour food (Yeah..) He has this wonderful ability of biting a lemon and still enjoy it..

He has shape-shifting powers. He can alter his appearance using light magic.

He's also very flexible when it comes to weapons. He can win a duel with a butter knife with slight effort.

Since he's a king, he's really rich! Even though he's generous with money, he doesn't waste it..

He also has rich taste in general. From clothing to interiors, he always makes an exquisite choice. He doesn't like to spend money on useless stuff..

He has terrible eyesight (He has myopia or short sightedness..) But he refuses to wear glasses..

He doesn't have any siblings. His parents, the former king and queen passed away when he was just 8 years old. He mostly grew up as a lonely king. He was guided by the Emperor who moulded him to go to the right path..

His very first friend is Entity.. He loves to annoy Entity but deep inside he cares a lot about him..

He's dating Alex (Yes, I'm a HeroAlex shipper, fight me if you want)

Has a thing for muscular people with long hair..

okay so i just finished ep 8 so these thoughts may change when i actually finish the show but:

i NEED yuri and kitty to end up together so so bad. i love them sm. and like. i have absolutely nothing against juliana and yuri but they only had like one tiny scene soo i'm rooting for yuri and kitty a LOT more

also i really love quincy and florian's relationship but i feel like they're gonna break up and i'm gonna be so upset when that happens :( but i fear it's inevitable

min ho is sweet (sometimes). i don't ship him with kitty at all tho, like ik he does have a crush on her but i just really love their friendship. and from the end of the last ep i watched ik he does WANT a relationship so i support that goal for him. but not with kitty.

also dae is sweet and i like him with kitty buttttt only as like a 'first love' thing. like i do reallyyyyy want them to amicably break up and always be each other's first love and all but. kitty and yuri. i also want more scenes of him and his little sister or him and min ho because i fear those are his best scenes.

and i'm very excited to see alex and yuri growing a sibling relationship and like how they'd act towards each other? idk i just feel like it'd be real interesting

my overall fav characters are quincy, mihee, and eunice (mihee and eunice are just sooo iconic just always wearing orange & green outfits and always being together and following yuri around <33)

Favorite thing about her: the way she cares so deeply for people but is bad at showing it and has the most diabolical case of cuteness aggression I fear I've ever seen. She expresses her love for her friends through actions like protecting them.

Least favorite thing: How she only has like one episode (the flighttmare episode where shes trying to regain her famliys honor. off the top of my head) dedicated solely to her, and all her other development being linked to Hiccup in some way and how she's slowly just reduced to 'supportive gf' in the later movies.

Favorite line: "Our parents war is about to become ours! Figure out which side you're on." Because it just tells you so much about her character. She's essentially a child soldier, well they all are, but the others still goof off, yknow, like kids are supposed to?? Astrid allows herself 0 moments of weakness (respite) and puts everything before herself to ensure berks safety.

BrOTP: I already talked about her and Snotlout, so how about her and Fishlegs? Like they their moments of silliness in that one rtte ep where he helped her look for a betrothal gift and her helping him protect the dramillions. It shows they have such a bond you'd think would be kind of unlikely but then it's like. Never talked about again and it makes me mad bc they're such best friends :(

Random headcanon:

Now knowing their war with the dragons was essentially pointless, she feels like she wasted her childhood. Had someone only realized and ended it sooner, she wouldn't have spent all her time training instead of being happy. Also she's trans <33

(Astrid child soldier Hofferson you grew up too fast. The dragon war ended only for her to be thrust into another conflict (war with viggo) shortly after but it's not like she's complaining. I feel like she spent so much time training to fight, she barely knows how to just. Be.)

Also. She keeps a little handkerchief in that pouch on her belt to wipe her hands after holding Hiccup's. Sweaty ass palms.

Also also, I feel like she has a slightly strained relationship with her parents and siblings and her uncle is her closest famliy member.

Unpopular opinion:

Sheshould get to be silly and be allowed to kind of suck sometimes. Let her be kind of a bitch with no remorse!!! let her be goofy sometimes!!!

The best day

The day Dipper and Mabel were born.

1996 A young Michael and Catherine met for the first time and fell in love. He a high school language arts teacher and she is a in college to be a nurse.Two  year later they tied the knot and one year after that they decided to start a family.

9 months ago Catherine and Michael Pines were expecting twins, Mike has dark curly brown hair and brown eyes.Catherine has straight light brown hair and green eyes.They have been married for three years. They were having fraternal twins, a boy and a girl. They picked out names, got baby cribs clothes and put it in the nursery to bring home their babies .They prepared to start the next chapter of their lives to become parents Catherine is 33 years old she  mature  for her age she feels she is ready to be a mommy and Michael is 34 he can be immature for his age sometimes but he is excited to be a daddy.

Aug/31/1999

She went into labor they drove to the hospital 5:00 am she  sat down in her bed at the hospital the nurse gave her her pain medicines. 4 hours of labor then she pushed Mike held her hand then they're daughter was born at 8:05 am and the doctor unclipped her umbilical and checked her to make sure everything is normal the nurse takes and  puts her in a see through crib .She screamed and cried.

Because she wants her brother but he has the umbilical cord stuck, around his neck in the womb five minutes past of pushing at 8:10 the doctors take him out and quickly unclip the umbilical cord. Their son is born but theirs a problem he turned blue and the parents are looking concerned and worried that their son might not make it. "Why is he not breathing? HELP MY BABY " she cried panicking "help my son please"he held on to the nurse and begged her the doctors start to work to revive  him.Just then Sherman , his wife Faith Catherine's mother Lois and Stan, came in. "What's wrong with him?" Stan yelped in a panic.''He'll be ok" the nurse reassures them the doctor does some more compressions  the baby starts breathing,crying.He screams for his sister the doctor checks him to make sure everything is normal. Faith takes pictures of the babies. For her younger daughters to see their new niece and nephew.

Then the nurse takes the babies and waives them baby A is a little heavier than baby B by a pound or two and she cleans them up giving them their first bath. They only have a little bit of light brown, almost light red hair on their little heads. She gives them their first shots preventing things like polio,whooping cough,hepatitis B they don't like it very much.They stop screaming and crying when they feel the other one is their and they hold hand they can't see well  or hear well yet but they feel each other and that makes them happy.They don't know why they're where separated but their afraid  they'll never be with each other again.

The nurse put diapers on them, wrapped the girl in a pink blanket and the boy in a blue blanket and put the newborns in their mothers arms. "Oh their beautiful Catherine holds her very tiny babies and they sleep, the doctor told them they are perfectly healthy "what I've always wanted, a little girl and a little boy they have your nose" he said looking down at his babies. “And your eyes dear” she told him he kissed her.Michael wrote down the twins names on their birth certificates.Mabel, Ariel, Pines and Masson, Alex, Pines.

She holds and breastfeeds them for a while. They happily drink their mother's milk they eat their first meal. Michael asks Stan if he wants to hold them "would you like to hold the babies" he nods his head he picks the newborn and puts them in Stan's arms. He is 52 years old and looks at both of them and starts crying. He thinks about his brother disappearing and that he wishes that he could be here to meet them.

"Is he ok, why is he upset?" Catherine looked confused "well because he had a twin brother that passed away" Michael explained at least that what he was told.He and his siblings rarely saw their uncles growing up.So he didn’t really know them personally. "what are their names"Stan asked . "Well our girl's name is Mabel, Ariel, Pines" she told him "aww she's adorable"

"and our little boy's name is Masson ,Alex, Pines" he added. When he said that Stan was not paying attention, he was looking at the mark on the boy's forehead. "Hey look at that mark on his head there it kind of looks like some dots, or the big Dipper" he talks to babies quietly as they sleep in his arms. "You two are very cute and small, you got something special, you have a twin. It means you were born with a best friend. The negative is you didn't choose then.And you have to be around each other all the time sometimes you might drive each other crazy but.

They'll know more about you than anyone else and always be there for you to help you I know what it's like to have a twin sibling who you do everything with and grow up with ". The babies sleep peacefully through him talking "I was dumb ones now my twin brother is gone I'd do anything to bring him back, I'm sorry he not here he's would've love you two but maybe one day. Anyway what is that on your forehead look, like the Big Dipper. Dippy can you keep a promise for me to protect your sister I know I did with my brother and be careful ok don't go scaring your parents like that again ."

Dipper makes a "MMM" noise. "What about you sweetie can you promise, you're great uncle Stan to keep your brother out of trouble. I know my brother tried to keep me out of trouble ". Mabel yawned. "I love you two."He hugs them gently "StanFord, can I hold my grandchildren please?"Shermans begged "just one more minute you promise to be less boring" he stood up. " No and you know I don't like trying new things ....I know this is hard for you after losing Stanley but please let me hold them"

"be careful don't fight over my babies"Catherine warned"fine" Stan puts the newborn's in their grandpa Sherman's arm.He  is 60 years old he used to have dark brown hair but now it's gray and white. "I am so happy you guys are here you’re so precious I remember when you Stanford. And Stanley were born when I was 8 years old, mom and dad thought they were only going to have one baby  but you guy's surprised us". Faith smiled and got to hold her grand babies. She used to have blonde hair but now it's white. She holds them and plays with them for a little bit she tell the babies."Ok I can't wait for you guys visit us and we'll play together, I bake you cookies won't that be fun" they start to cry and scream.

Then Lois got a turn she has green eyes and red hair with a few gray streaks.She rocks them to calms them down. The babies stop crying.She talks to the twins "Oh they are really cute I can't wait to get them matching onesies Granny Lois is gonna spoil you two rotten". Catherine laughs. Then she put the babies back into her daughters arms.A few days later Stan and Sherman took the twins to meet their 85 year old great grandmother Carren.She lived a long life and she will pass away soon.She has a strong feeling of deja Vu holding her great grandchildren, and she tells Stan that she hopes he can one day bring Stanford back.

Catherine and Michael took good care of their babies. The babies don't do much the first 3 months they eat,poop,sleep and repeat but their parents enjoy this period.After the babies are bathed and changed Catherine sits on a rocking chair in the nursery and nurses them. Dipper cry and Mabel start crying as well she hold them close and comfort them she sings baby mine softly .Mabel close her eyes and sleeps Dipper sleeps too they love each other but they love their mommy a lot.And she loves them both and that she gets to make them feel better and Michael and Catherine can't wait to raise their children to smart loving people she puts them in to bed. Mike comes in to see if she needs any help. She said she's ok they kissed.

The babies have their own brown cribs in the small nursery the walls have purple wallpaper on them a small yellow rug on the floor.The twins are wearing matching purple onesies

She sometimes dresses them it matching clothes.Mabel sleep in her crib she sucks her thumb she has a Mobile with gold stars on it.Dipper sleep sucking his blue pacifier he is tucked in to his crib his mobile has gold pine trees on it .Michael and Catherine’s parents and his uncle are more than happy to babysit they are happy to have a helpful family.They takes lots of pictures they are starting to sit up at 3 months old and giggle they both know it won't be like this for long.

but i love this idea!! like i imagine having to go off the grid like. right during the last few months of readers senior year. and it’s good because you don’t have that much homework and all that, but it’s still incredibly important to get everything done so you can graduate. and i can imagine sam doing everything in his power to work with the last school you attended to have them let you finish your assignments through email almost like independent study.

and he’s doing this all while suffering with literal hallucinations😃 but he makes up this sob story (that’s obviously nothing compared to your actual situation) and he uses his perfect gentleman, super sweet older brother charm to convince them over the phone.

it’s just poor poor sam juggling all of this, fighting to keep himself, to get out of this situation, to keep everything else off your shoulders so you can focus on school. and every spare moment he tries to help you with your school work. one day, you're working on a final paper, and he's been sitting there with you, helping you edit, when he falls asleep without meaning to. he hates falling asleep. nightmares. and he'll feel awful about falling asleep on you when you need his help.

but you're alright with it. he already helped you fix the section you were unsure about, and you're almost done anyways. the rest is easy enough, and though you're exhausted out of your mind, it's nice to see sam sleep. you rarely do. you send your teacher your final draft and settle on the couch with him, too tired to get up.

sam does jolt awake from a nightmare. but he's easily grounded when he wakes, for once. you're there, your soft and sleeping form pressed against his side. you don't even stir when he flinches because your body is so exhausted. he still feels guilty when he realizes what happened, but he opens your laptop to see that you finished hours ago, not long after he fell asleep. he doesn't feel too bad. instead, he's glad to see you sleeping. you look different when you sleep, because he's gotten so used to the way that you look tired and stressed all the time now. that sends a pang through his heart when he realizes it. that overwhelming sense of protectiveness that he has for you washes over him like a damn hurricane, especially because your sleeping form looks so vulnerable. open and soft and unprotected except for him.

at least he can wrap an arm around you and fix the angle of your neck. at least you still trust him and love him and ask him for help on school assignments. at least you're there at all. sam can't wait for you to graduate. he knows that you can. he can't wait for you to have that. he can't wait to get you out of this all, if you'll let him.

okay so YES !!! nightshade is absolutely autistic. and they are stimming constantly. they stim vocally a lot, and a lot of the time its just bird sounds, but sometimes it'll just start screaming lmao. it also likes to rock back and forth a lot!! definitely a verrrry common one.

Also if youve seen how we draw nightshade you might've noticed that we draw xem with little wings in root mode! they also flap those to stim :]

also they love slime!!! this is verry much just me projecting but i like to think xey love slime and they have a huge collection of textures <33 its favorite is bingsu!!!

and NEOPRONOUNS as you might've noticed :P. (we have a nightshade alter that uses neos so we are once again, projecting) but anyway, it was hashtag that told nightshade about neos, and they immediately got into it!! they have many and love hoarding them <3 some of xeir favorites are it/xe/that/owl/web/bot/mur

bones!!! vulture culture!!!!! they collect bones. sometimes theyll go out into the forest and search for bones for hours (it has soooo many antlers) and if web finds a dead animal, web'll take it back with them to clean it out webselves :]

They also have intrusive thoughts. yeah less fun headcanon time. they can be very vivid and very graphic, and its caused nightshade to have panic attacks a few times. i hc that bumblebee also used to have them, so bees helped xem through some of the bad ones <3

also xey have severe emetophobia. yeah i know, a bit of a weird one. if someones sick, they will be avoiding that person like the plague. whenever it watches a movie with the family, it'll always check if there are emeto scenes so it knows when to look away or leave (shout out to doesthedogdie.com i fucking love that website!!!!)

and general terran hc! i headcanon that all the terrans can eat human food :D although nightshade specifically has a difficult time eating (the tism) and xey'll only eat things like noodles or very processed food. murs a huge ramen lover 😎

MINECRAFT. you cannot look at nightshade and tell me they dont love minecraft!! xey have a survival world going where xeyre completely decked out in netherite, have a hundred redstone machines scattered all over the place, and just so many huge projects going on. mur started a multi player world and got all murs siblings to join. most chaotic world ever

and now im thinking abt owls, so. they have night vision, because of course. and it also sleeps in a nest (terrans can sleep hc jumpscare) its just a pile of a fuck ton of pillows and blankets and if you touch it xey WILL bite you

also it has a very strong prey drive. if they see anything particularly small moving around on the floor they are fucking jumping it. its like xeyre the maltos mouser lmao. no small animal that shows up in the malto home is safe

oh and as for music !!! big fan of the big neurodivergent three lmao. lemon demon, will wood, tally hall. that stuff yknow? (yes im projecting) also heres a playlist that our nightshade alter made that is 100% what we hc source nightshade to listen to !!!!

oh and now heres a weird one. when nightshade was a protoform, they were always very… squinty? i dunno, its just something we noticed. like why are you squinting baby, can you not see? and then when xey got their altmode, suddenly xeir eyes were much wider! and i like to think that they did actually have bad eyesight as a protoform! and becoming an owl greatly improved it :]

also they cant see glass in their alt mode <3 hashtag has a compilation of mur crashing into windows

and about the episode "missed connection", we aren't actually told how long nightshade was helping tarantulas, and while most interpret it as just one day, i like to think it actually took about a week at least or even longer. i dont really know why i hc this, but maybe its cus i need nightshade and tarantulas to be besties or i'll die

I've not written a ton of AUs myself but I like reading vampire or paranormal AUs, historical/royal AUs & sex club/work AUs (the dynamics are fascinating in relation to character building). I don't have anything I hate, I don't tend to read kidfic very often but I think that reflects on me being afraid to grow up (lol I'm 31) than anything else 😂

I love sibling banter, I'm an only child so I think I live vicariously through it 😂 I also love a grumpy/sunshine combo (romantic/platonic), I've working on some potential Dead Boy Detectives fics with a lot of this.

Probably canon-conpliant if I'm honest. Even when I was writing fanfic years ago for Skam etc, I stuck with canon mostly. I like getting to explore the internal vibes of characters once the dust has settled. I also like a bit of angst or hurt/comfort, while I explore darker topics on occasion, I don't leave the fic without resolution or support.

How old are the marriage candidates in Stardew Valley?

As many people before me, I have wondered how old all of the marriage candidates are. I did some quick superficial research, but wasn't happy with the results. Since there is very little information, there is, of course, no definitive right answer. A lot of people base their guesses on behavior, which is a good starting point, but I think it's important to take their relationships into account as well.

I assume, that the flower-dance pairings imply that those pairings would at some point enter a romantic relationship with each other, unless the farmer romances one of them.

Since Stardew Valley defaults to, in my opinion, more traditional gender roles, and since no one is commenting on creepy/weird relationships, I assume that those couples are in a similar age range and the men are probably a bit older, maybe 5 years older max.

So here are my guesses and my reasoning: (warning: long post)

What we know for sure:

- Harvey, Shane and Elliott are the oldest

- Haley and Emily are sisters and their parents have been gone for 2 years

- Maru and Sebastian are half-siblings and Sebastian is older that Maru

- Everyone is at least 18, because they are marriage candidates

My assumptions based on behavior and lifestyle:

- Haley is younger than Emily since she acts more juvenile. Because their parents left them on their own, Emily was probably already an adult (21) when they left (2 years ago). So she should be at least 23.

- Abigail is still in school, but we don't know if it is high school or college. The average age for finishing college is 26, so she is between 18-26 years old

- Leah has a job, lives alone and was in a serious relationship with Kel before she moved to stardew valley. If she finished high-school at 18, lived together with kel for at least a year, moved to stardew valley at least one year before the farmer, she has to be at least 20, but is probably older

- Alex still dreams of being a professional athlete. Most football players start young and are at average 26 years old (according to google) so he is probably younger that 26.

- Harvey is a doctor and has his own little clinic. Med students graduate at about 26, followed by 3 years of internship/residency and another 3 to seven years for a specialty. He had his clinic before the farmer arrived so that's another extra year. So he is at least 33.

- There is no information besides behavior and their potential relationships for Sam, Penny, Haley, Sebastian and Maru. Besides Haley they all have jobs but it is unknown if they have any qualifications. Sam probably hasn't since he works at joja.

Their relationships

- Penny and Sam. We know little about both of them, so their relationship tells us nothing. Since Sam acts very juvenile, I'd guess they are between 18 and 25

- Elliott and Leah. Since Harvey is at least 33 and in the same "older" group as Elliott, we can assume that Elliott is at least in his eary 30s. He is paired with Leah, who is at least 20 but probably older so if we apply the 5 years younger max rule she is probably in her mid to late 20s

- Haley and Alex. Since Alex is mid 20s max, Haley is probably in her early 20s, which would fit her juvenile behavior.

- Emily and Shane. Like Elliott and Harvey, Shane is at least in his early 30s, so Emily should be in her mid to late 20s which fits her job as a bartender and her relationship with Haley

- Maru and Harvey. This is the interesting one. We know Harvey is at least 33 so that would mean Maru should be in her late 20s to early 30s! This makes sense because I think that she has had some form of higher education. She is portrayed as smart and ambitious, with a father that cares about her future so I don't think Demetrius would be okay with her finishing her education after high-school. Maybe she is a certified nurse or has gone to med school and is doing her residency at Harvey's clinic. I could also see her striving for a career in med-tech, since she seems interested in engineering. Since her older brother has to be younger than the older Bachelors she must be on the lower end of acceptable age difference, so she has to be in her late 20s, close to Sebastian.

Sebastian and Abigail. Since Sebastian is older than Maru, he has to be in his late 20s/early 30s as well. Since he isn't classified as an older Bachelor, he has to be in his late 20s. Which means that Abigail should be at least in her mid 20s. Going with the average age of college graduation (26), she is probably 25
