Alex's Unfinished Business

Had the show went on, they would’ve eventually revealed Alex’s unfinished business, and my guess is that it had something to do with her mother who left family. This event clearly traumatized Alex and left a hole in her life.

And maybe the reveal would’ve been something along the lines that her mom left because she got turned into a werewolf or maybe even a vampire. We know that people who got turned into werewolves would leave their families to keep them safe – George, Allison. Alex’s mom being a supernatural creature would’ve also given an opportunity for her to see Alex. Something that Annie couldn’t have with her mother. The writers also liked repeating their plot lines, so this could’ve mirrored the arc with George’s father, whom he initially thought to be a ghost. Then again the mom being a vampire could’ve mirrored the Daisy storyline.

So, if Alex’s mother was a supernatural creature, what would've she been?
