The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals has the worst album.

NOT THE SONGS but the album versions themselves. They're quieter, they lack a lot of the punch, they just don't feel as good as their musical counterparts. The one I'd argue is the closest is la dee dah dah day, but that's mostly because homeless Ted's "used to hurt a lot" sounds better there. With most of Black Friday and basically all of NPMD the album versions sound just as good. Our Doors Are Open and Feast Or Famine not withstanding. The musical version of Our Doors is very much superior. And the manic energy isn't there in the same way in the album of Feast.

Especially, especially Show Me Your Hands feels so weird in the album. They sound too quiet, the three cops voices aren't working together like they do onstage, and it just doesn't work right.

I don't know, it just bothers me when I go from one set to another and Show Stopping Number just doesn't sound right to me.
