Yo Taag! Which pov do you recommend watching for Last Life?

When I watched Last Life, the main two I watched were Scott (Dangthatsalongname) and Joel (Smallishbeans).

Though, I'm not entirely sure what kind of style you're into. So if you just go around and watch a couple of the EP 1 POV's you'll probably find who you want to watch!

When I learned of UPCAT I was overtaken with an overwhelming desire to pass and attend UP. All other entrance exams were treated like practice exams. My mom bought me a book reviewer and I devoured it cover to cover. Taking the test was a memorable and enjoyable experience (I’m a Hermione Granger/Amy Santiago on some level). Waiting for the test results was filled with unbelievable excitement and anxiety. I still cannot forget jumping around the house and screaming when I learned that I did pass (UPLB, BS Nutrition). The ecstasy of receiving that thick acceptance letter…. I ended up in UPMin (BS Computer Science), and so UPLB will be one of my biggest what if’s.

In my four and a half years at the university, not once did I use the image of the sablay as an inspiration in my studies. It just so happened that one day stepping out of the chancellor’s office I had one in my hands, like all of my efforts in the past years culminated to this piece of cloth. I teared up.

Then came the day I tried it on with my graduation dress and saw myself in the mirror. I actually felt my heart lurch, an extremely rare occurence. I smiled at my reflection. Milestones come and pass, and this was the milestone’s moment, something I knew I would look back on for years to come. The image of me in a white dress with the sablay on will forever be an out of body experience that will forever remain surreal.

In the end, my sablay journey is not a story of woe nor great tragedy…. It was not filled with rude awakenings but rather a rich journey of self-discovery filled with heart wrenching disappointments and happy moments I will never forget, including the people from different walks of life that surrounded me. As an active nonconformist, UP was the environment I dreamed and yearned for. It was everything and more in that it was flawed and real.

To end my ramblings, please allow me to have my peace of mind by once and for all explaining why it took me an extra semester to finish and an extra year to march: I will finally be emigrating this month. When I learned of our departure date I had one year left here in the Philippines. What did I do? For half of that I decided to stay in Davao and finish some subjects and my SP at my leisure (even though it was anything but). For the other half I baked in GenSan and wrestled with sepanx (and wisdom tooth removals).

Now here I am heartbroken but anxious to leave to get it over with. I am sorry that I do not get to fulfill one of our core missions, which is to serve the country, but I hope to be able to do so in whatever form I can no matter where I am.

Thank you, UP. Thank you, Davao. You have a permanent home in my heart. Farewell.
